Then the flooding people, restoration people came in, ripped up my basement, put everything in boxes. They put everything in boxes. They put everything in boxes, and I had to go through all the boxes to just find some things that I could do the podcast with, which was these headphones. These headphones and a laptop. And well, no on my laptop. All you need is an Internet connection and a webcam and a microphone. Anyone can be a podcasting superstar. Yeah, look at that. Yeah, anybody, My PC. Yeah, and I want to run a Cat six cable from my room here down to my new two point five gigabit per second. Wow. Yeah, welcome to the times, man. I've been on that for a long time, been on that for a while, on that two point five gig kick. I don't know how am I gonna do that? Didn't you try like running cables and you couldn't do it? Yeah? And then well I had an idea. I had a plan, but then the flood happened and everything went fucking sideways. So I gave up on that for now. But I think I can. I'll tie or i'll link my Cat six cable that I just bought. It's fifty foot jeez, I'll link. I'll like tie it to the existing Ethernet cable here and then pull it down from the basement and it should end up. Oh, you already have one there Yeah. It's just not CAT six, So I won't get that speed because I tried the I tried the five E and it didn't get me over a gig. I don't know if you can pull it like you think you're going to pull a cat ethernet cable threw the walls down like it could They could be could be caught up on something like did you run that cable? No, they ran it through the vent thing or beside beside the vents. Did they have fastened it anyway? No? I don't think so. So I'll probably pull the cats stick sucking stream from my computer up here and leave it headless for all because I'm getting a new desk, getting a bigger, bigger desk, you should problem. See. What you should do is pull it down with like a string, a piece of string first, and then and then when the string is in place, you tie the cat six to the end of the string. Like, don't tie cable at cable, you know. What I mean? How am I going to do that? String? You string on the cats the existing cable and you pull it down and out so that the string is in its place, and then you tie. Yeah, but tying a cable to a cable, it's not gonna work. Like it'll come off and zip tie, it'll zip zip tipe maybe, But then if it's going through smaller spaces, you're gonna have two cables worth instead of one, and it might jam. You know, just saying couldn't jam both cable You could jam and then you're screwed because you're just pulling the old one out and it's came looser, comes off or whatever. That would be bad. We've been been playing a game the same game probably, Yeah, have you been playing some sneaky other games that I don't know about. No, no, all right, well we've been playing Power World. A lot of people have been playing Power World, which we'll talk about a little bit later. But I have It's crazy. I've only played for like, oh, it's just six hours, not bad, six hours. I'm think about like tamp now, Yeah. You've been playing more than me, though you have been playing more than more than I. Oh yeah, man, on PS five runs so much. I was before we were playing on the series s and it is such a piece of shit. It was so bad. I was playing on PC, but I was using I was on game Pass right on next it was on game Pass and early Access for some reason is weird. But it has been a while. It has been a while, and I haven't really I know, I'm only six hours in, but I haven't really noticed really that much of a difference other than the performance, like the it runs obviously way better now. Yeah, but like in terms of the gameplay, like I just don't remember what was different, and I'm sure there are things, but like it's been. When did it come out in early access? Oh? Good question. I like the freaking noises of your keyboard? Do you look at my tooth. My tooth. It's a shiny tooth. It's very shiny. I got gold tooth. Yeah, what the fuck is that? That's just the contrast on your shitty camera blowing out some kind of reflection in your tooth. My teeth aren't this gross? Okay? I went to the dentist and they cleaned my teeth. Two years ago, two and a half yeah, two and a half and a half wow, okay, four months or so. Yeah. I played for a long time. We had a lot of hours in it. But we have a dedicated server now running on my home server, so, which is nice. It's always on. We couldn't do that with the Xbox version. I don't think there was no It was only on the Steam version. What we ended up. Doing was someone had to leave their person in the game. Yeah, that was mine. I was. You guys are just playing on my local save, so I had to be there whenever. I had to be standing logged in and just standing there whenever whenever you guys wanted to play, Which did not make sense, very dumb. But I bought the Steam version back then, like I bought it way back then, hoping that I would set up a dedicated server. But we just put so many hours already that we didn't want to restart, so we just didn't do it. But this time we got the dedicated server running some custom configure, little custom configuration. Yeah, but it's way better now. Just it's pretty cool to do that. I love having dedicaded servers. Remember we would do it with like Counterstrike, we'd have the dedicated server. Going with the manny edmin mod remember that. Shit, what's nice about the dedicated servers. We can just change all the things that annoy us. Yeah, well you can do that in the other like last time we did that too, Remember, Yeah, like I could, I had to do it on my end and the options or whatever. But you can do the same stuff. But like we were trying, like most maximum damage. We made a couple of videos of it, like max damage where the pals do. One hundred percent. But yeah, we didn't quite do that. But I turned off the raids the so we're not getting raided anymore, and that every time I logged in every time, well, it was the same thing last time. It was the same It happened every time we logged in the last time too, and it was me doing it because you were like, oh, I want to play Power World, go log in, and I was like, oh, okay, and I log in and then I get attacked and I was like, I don't want to play right now, I gotta go. I get just like you know what I mean. So that was really dumb. So I shut it off, like it's so stupid. Every time you log in, it just yeah, they send a whole horde of fucking beasts after your base to kill your to kill your base and kill your shit. And I think it's based on your base level. So I upgraded the bass one time, and then the attacker base went up like ten levels. And I was like fuck, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Level fifteen. Right, they're like level twenty four pals attacking all our fifth level fifteen shit. So I just left. I don't know when you leave, it just pauses the server. I don't think that's because it tells it says days, and it's always up by like fifty days. When I log back in there. I have no idea where nobody's there. Yeah, because when if it's running all the time, it's running like you like you have like that because we also increase the gathering speed of everything, so we just have infinite amount of resources, which is good. Great, anything else playing anything else? I haven't Well, I'm still playing Dark Souls Remastered. Stuck. I don't think you even mentioned you were playing that. You started it? Yeah, the very first OG Souls game you are playing right now on switch. Dark Souls Remastered on the switch To operates as a boosted version of the original switch Port. Yeah, so it just boosts. So faster, faster loading times, improved, improved environmental textures, but it remains capped at thirty fps. Load times are probably great though. Yeah, yeah they're really good. But you know what's not good is fucking dying and having to run back. But the load time from when you die to when you spawn is really nice, so you can get back into it a lot quicker, I don't think. But I'm stuck at this boss called the Duo. It's like these It's like these two giant night guys in this castle. I don't understand. I don't understand how they thought it was possible to be two of them at the same time. So I'm hacking my way through that one. I've almost got I've almost got it. I just needed a couple more runs to understand what I'm doing, and they'll go down. They'll go down, and once they're down, I'm fifty percent through the game, so not bad. You don't know how many hours you've played. Switch does tell you, but you have to like the parental control section, I think, or something I really do. I looked it up and I went in there, and it still doesn't tell me. It just tells me, oh, you played this five hours ago or whatever. It doesn't tell me how many hours I put into the game. That's really dumb, Like how would you not want that feature, especially on something kids are using, you know what I mean? Like, how do you not want like you goetn't want to know how much your kid is playing this game or whatever? You know what I mean? That's very stupid, very stupid. Well, I just checked something else out. I checked something out. Apex is having a cyberpunk event, okay, a cyberpunk twenty seventy seven event, which I was like, what the hell, that's crazy, It's so sick. That's sick. And then I look at the shit that they made for it, and I'm just like, oh, what the fuck are they doing? Well? I have one skin. One skin that's good. They have the Loba skin that looks just like PanAm, Like they nailed the PanAm skin on Loba. Obviously she looks like her, she looks like her, like, but the other skins are awful. First of all, first of all bad, Yeah, but they gave it to Sparrow instead of Crypto, Like, how do you not give that to Crypto? He literally has a jacket that looks exactly like his jacket in his base skin is literally that jacket. How do you not? And he's like a hacker dude, Like how do you not make that Crypto? I'm also kind of pissed because I play Crypto and I don't play Sparrow, but like, how do you not give that to Crypto? And then look, I like that one too. I like Cryptos, but who is it? Who is mal V? He's mail v? Oh mal V? I don't even know what mail V looks like, Like I've never even seen him. It's the first person game, like you know what I mean? Oh yeah, her face is sick. Yeah, the Loba is just really good. And then there's no Jackie skin, no Jackie skin, and they Gibraltar Royce, the leader of like the Mailstream Gang Royce, Really, how do you not give Gibby a freaking Jackie skin? He is, like it's a it's a no brainer Gibby skin to make of Jackie. And they don't even make a Jackie skin at all. Instead they make of Royce, like just so dumb, like missed opportunities. The only skin that's good is the pan Am. I guess the David skin is good, but it should be on Crypto. I like the I like, what's her face's skin? The shotgun girl from ed Runners one bottom part. Yeah, yeah, that one's pretty good because she's like face pain and whatever. She looks like a doll. Yeah, But like the Lucy skin is this ugly new chick. She's got these weird freaking eyes. I don't know, I don't like her. I don't like her. Lucy, Yeah, Lucy, it's the one on the Oh yeah, yeah. Just doesn't it look okay? I didn't like it. I don't know. And then the event that they're playing, they made the E District map into like a night city kind of thing. Which is cool. It's really cool, and the map is sick to begin with, and when it came out, like the map when it first came out, I was like, oh, this is sick. It's like a cyberpunk city, right because it's called E District, but they turned the lights off on it and they put like neon shit everywhere, and it's it's one of my favorite maps in the game too already, So that was cool, but I don't like the event, like you have to play this stupid the stupid wild card events, which I hate. It's for absolute crackheads only the crackheads play the wild Card event. It's just like chaos, like there's no strategy, no structure. It's I hate it. I never play it. I literally only play ranked now because it's just a stable, like slower, more methodical game, which is what I want to play. When I play that, I don't want to be a crackhead flying around like like it's crazy. But yeah, a little bit of a missed opportunity there on Jackie or Adam Smasher's skin for caustic, like a caustic and smash your skin, like what how are you sweet? So are these the only eight skins? Yeah? That's it. Wow. They gave like a they gave like a non legendary to Valk. But it's not very good. It's nothing. It's not of a character in the game or anything like that. No Johnny Silverhand, Yeah. Like, who would have been Johnny Silverhan freaking fuse man. Fuse has metal arms and you don't give him a Johnny like a. Man that would have been sick Johnny's skin. Let's talk about Power World, the Power World Concurrent players, is crazy. What is it? Power World is back right now. It's like almost a million as of this morning, a million players. Really, yeah, it's number two, but it reached number one this week while Counterstrike was down or for some reason it was that five hundred hour. Peak, twenty four hour peaks, nine hundred and sixty one thousand, nine. Hundred and sixty one thousand players. It is number two right now. That's fucking nuts crazy. I bought it twice. I bought it on Steam. I just bought it on Steam. Oh, how much is it? Thirty bucks? Yeah, it's like twenty four bucks or something on each. That's pretty good. Yeah, that's pretty good. But like that's more than freaking our graders even came close. That's like double what our creators was. This is just a game that everyone kind of can hop into and play. You know, it's not. Yeah, but this is a is a craft or survival. Yeah, I know that's what you're saying. Real talent you need to I know, you just need some vision on how to build stuff. That's pretty much it. Yeah, just like anyone can just hop in and play this. We'll see what kind of sustainability it has. But you can put a ton of hours in this game, Like you just a ton of hours. So especially with the bass building, then you have like this there seems to be different facets of the game. Like you always have the base building, and you can the crafting and the base building and everything, but then you can kind of go out and just do the pal stuff. There is exploring, yeah, breeding, all that stuff. Like there's a ton of hours available in this game. Like I'm sure, I'm sure that this is probably gonna be like it's going to stay that high for a while. I think eventually. Obviously it'll taper down over the end of the summer when all the other games start coming out, because I don't think there's really much coming out until September. Beginning September, we got what we have ore Buotles and Blood of dawn Walker beginning September, and then it starts going crazy. We're going to have like Wolverine, what else is coming out Wolverine obviously granted ato November. There's another one coming out, that final Fantasy game I want to play, that's in October. Oh yeah, but yeah, there's gonna be a lot of stuff coming out in the fall and late late summer. Fall, So I think this like. Everything everything moved out of the way for GTA six. Yeah, like I was looking for something to play, like I just like, I don't know, I don't think I have anything I really want to play right now, like for single player, so I've just been playing Silly the Spire like I said, But yeah, this could be something that we just kind of keep playing till till kind of those other games come out of end of summer, maybe in about a month or so. I don't think anything really comes out that I want to play in in earlier August. They were in August. Martleshell two is end of August as well. I think Beast of Reincarnation comes out August fourth. That might get some traction, but yeah, Star Wars Zero Company is that going to be good end of August? Only Musha. Blaketail Legacy comes out end of August. That might be okay, but yeah, nothing really crazy. So August is a is a backlog, a backlog month, or a Power World month. I would say even July July, August, July August backlog, power World. That's pretty That's pretty much it. So yeah, that's that. Moving on, Assassin's Creed Black Flag sold three million copies Fox copies and two million we're on the day one, two million copies on day one, Like, come. On, people, what the fuck are we doing here? What are you expecting? Come on, we got to stop supporting you be soft guys. Just stop it. You know the gift that Michael Jordan. Stop it. Get some help. We don't support Ubisoft on this show, Okay, so we don't recommend. What are the reviews saying on the Steam. When I checked them, Like on the first day they were mixed. It was mixed, so it wasn't good. But I think it's higher now. But on day one it was it was mixed. What's it now? Black Flag is currently very positive, very positive eighty one percent, but on the first day it was not doing so good. Sale the Seven Seas Folks, sale the Seven Seas Folks. Very faithful remake. They don't care. There's that would be an interesting stat to see they could have. It's so funny because what how long did this take to make versus scull and Bones? They could have just remade this game instead of making Skull and Bones, you. Know, yeah, yeah? And was this being made at the same time as Skull and Bones, Like, was this already in the pipeline? Who freaking knows what's happening behind the scenes at Ubisoft. It seems to. Be a poorly run company that doesn't make great decisions, especially when it comes to the consumer. Yes, they were. They were being developed alongside each other, like Sculling Bones in twenty thirteen as multiplayer expansion. Before beginning Skull and Bones was being fucking worked on on the original. Scull and Bones begin in twenty thirteen as a multiplayer expansion. Oh to to two Black Flag, Oh my god, that's crazy. Black Flag recind the remake actually re uses technology assets and ocean physics originally built for Sculling Bones. Sculling Bones wasn't bad like we played it. It wasn't bad. That's new not I mean, they make Assassin's Creed games seemingly, that's it. But Assassin's Greed and Far Cry. Right, that's their their two the. Last far Cry game that's five years ago. Their latest Far Cry game. They have one in development project Blackbird rumored. Apparently two Frank far Cry projects in development rumored. Even neither has a f you'll really sate, but like they make Assassin's Screed games, that's it. Remember the first far Cry how fucking sick it looked. I remember, yeah, you had you had the Hawaiian shirt. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that was a cool game. Was that around the time of Crisis one? I don't think so. The first Crisis. Two thousand and seven was Crisis Oh Farkroy was first four? Yeah, Parkery was long ass time ago. That was like when we built when I built my computer, like my first computer two thousand and four. Man, remember that was a freaking long time ago. But anyway, let's move on, shall we. We didn't talk about this last episode. What the Steam Machine, the Steam Machine prices, the team Machine specs, all this freaking Steam Machine thing, Okay, and it sold out obviously everywhere. You can't get one. They made like how many companies to ten fuckings? Yeah, they probably first of all, didn't make many of them first of all. But the prices now doesn't come with the controller. Okay, no controller, which is fine. I'm okay with not not having a controller on it. Like, if you're using it as a PC, you may not even use a controller. You likely already have a controller that you can. Use with it. It is a PC, right, you can plug any USB controller into it in a work. I don't care that it doesn't come with the controller. But starting with the base model five hundred and twelve gigabyte base model one forty nine dollars US fifteen hundred dollars, fifteen hundred and nine dollars, okay, the two terabyte model thirteen hundred and forty nine USD that's nineteen hundred dollars Canadian, nineteen hundred dollars Canadian for the steam machine. Okay, but you get two extra face plates, okay with that. With the two terabyte model you get a cool little wooden one and some other one. But man, who is. Why? I'll tell you why you would buy it or you should buy it. The only reason why you should buy this I can see it. If you aren't into building your own PC, you don't have a PC, or you have a really fucking old one, and you want to get into back into PC gaming. It's a it's an entryway, it's a gateway. It's a fine gateway for someone who doesn't want to build anything, you don't want to deal with anything like that. Okay, fine. I would normally say, don't buy the two terabyte. That's an insane price for for a machine with these kind of but you look at the goddamn prices of SSDs. Why, I couldn't believe it. I looked up this morning the Samsung T seven one terabyte external drive that I bought. Now, granted, I bought it four years ago, okay, I bought it in twenty twenty two for one hundred and nineteen dollars Canadian Okay, wow, it now costs four hundred dollars, three hundred dollars more for a four year old SSD external drives. Nice. I bought the PS five two. I bought it one for about a two terabyte M two for my PS five mm hmm, and I think that was on sale for like one eighty or one ninety and it's like the Western Gittle black. I think it was five hundred bucks. Now its disgusting if I ever need another SSD, I'll just pull it from there, that's all. Yeah, I guess. I mean I have two hundred and fifty gig SSD like I have little shit ones. Yeah, but man, that's insane. Nineteen hundred dollars for something like this. Crazy. But then if you're building your computer, if you are building, there's no doubt you could build a better PC for fifteen hundred bucks, not a doubt. But that in that little tiny box though, it's so nice to have a little tiny box. I mean you might. No, I'm not specifically saying in that if you need a small form factory form factory, but if you just want a PC that you don't care about the form factor, you can build a much better computer for fifteen hundred bucks, much better. Okay, So but. On the launch. On the launch there was approximately twenty thousand Steam machines like that's nothing, Yeah, no wonder they're sold in. Yeah, that's fine. And then they're like they're making fake hype because. The hour's sold out, and people are like, damn, we gotta get in line. You know, I don't know, man, so get this. So. Also, I also listen to Linus on Land show, and he he at first didn't like it either because of the price and whatnot, but the more he used it, he used it more of like a daily computer machine like in the Steam. They're gonna run better. On pro too. Cheap, which is five hundred dollars cheaper for PS five Pro, which will play four K. I just don't see it unless you do not have a PC. If you do not have a gaming PC and you want to play games on Steam, sure, sure, entry level, and you don't want to build your own, that's it. That's the only reason. Well. PS five Pro is yeah ninety. Nine, Yeah, plus a disk drive if you want a disk drive one hundred and fifty dollars. So yeah, it's definitely a better deal for PSI Pro. This is not a good deal, just not a good deal. Like you can build a seventy like an RX, like a seventy six hundred XT. And you're not getting with the Steam machine. You're not getting physical copies anyway, right because it's a PC. Yeah, I would never buy that. I would never. Buy You would never obviously you have a PC like someone who has a gaming PC already, I pray to God is not buying a fifteen hundred dollars Steam machine, like unless you want a shitty kind of computer to play on your TV as a console. And now understand because I did build. All you play is roguelikes and all you play those two daf. You but why would you want to play that on your couch? Like the well, to me, couch gaming is you want to play the immersive story games. That's what you want to play on the couch, you know what I mean? I can see that. And they said, they said recently that prices aren't going down, so it's likely that the price is going to go up for the Steam Machine. Prices are going to go up up until this AI bullshit is over, and who knows that could be a generation away.
