[00:06:09] Whenever I moved the camera like it would take me a second for my brain to register what the fuck just happened

[00:06:16] Because the blur was horrific

[00:06:19] so

[00:06:20] Being able to change that actually helped a lot. So now i'm enjoying the game and not being confused about where the hell I am or what i'm supposed to do

[00:39:38] I think that the sonic and shadow stages in this game are better than a lot of stages

[00:42:28] So you don't have to earn it as much

[00:42:37] You know, so when it slows down you're like, hey, I fuck this I just want to go fast

[00:58:09] And like one of the main issues with 06 was having issues with um, I think they were using unreal for 06

[00:58:15] And I guess they were having issues with it. So for this game, uh, sega just said we're going to make our own engine

[00:58:21] The hedgehog engine

[00:58:23] Which they did

[00:58:24] The whole engine they're cranking their whole

[00:58:27] Hedgehog engine which which they still use to this day on a sonic games. They've

[00:58:32] Um, they have a hedgehog engine too, which is run like most of the modern sonic games

[00:58:37] So yeah unleashed is sega trying their best to fix

[00:58:41] The issues that sonic 06 had and for the daytime stages where you're playing a sonic

[00:58:47] They are fixed like you could argue

[00:58:49] The day stages and unleashed are the best 3d sonic ever

[00:58:53] Like graphically the game still holds up like the opening cg cutscenes are

[00:58:58] incredible

[00:58:59] Um, and the gameplay and unleashed it's the first of the boost games

[00:59:03] So we have the boost formula now

[00:59:05] Where you build up that boost bar and you just push a button and you just fucking light speed

[00:59:09] Um, and then leash does a really good job of that in in the day stages

[00:59:13] Like the day stages are so much fun to play as and I even enjoy replaying them

[00:59:18] Which the game kind of makes you do but there's so much fun to play

[00:59:22] You don't care

[00:59:23] But the issue a lot of people have with this game is the werehog stages in the nighttime where it turns into like a bad god of war clone

[00:59:31] and

[00:59:32] The werehog stages wouldn't be so bad if they didn't go on like twice as long as the day stages do

[00:59:38] And just and they get monotonous really fast

[00:59:42] There's a very light like combo system, but it's not really worth fucking with there's like puzzle elements

[00:59:48] Like it feels like a completely different game

[00:59:51] And it just it just doesn't really need to be here like if it was here if if it was

[00:59:58] Tone down like if we didn't have so much of it. I think it would be fine

[01:00:06] I think it's kind of worth dealing with to a degree

[01:00:15] Did not get good reviews at all like people were kind of poo pooing on it because you know, sonica 6 was still

[01:00:27] So I think people were quick to shit on unleashed but over the years unleashed

[01:00:32] Has had a re-evaluation that people have really come around to it being you know what it's actually not

[01:00:38] It's it's not that bad. It's one of the better 3d sonic games. I think

[01:00:42] Is it uh backwards compatible or can you get it on the xbox store?

[01:00:47] Yes, it is backwards compatible. It has frame rate boost as well

[01:00:50] So you can get up to like I think 120 frames on it

[01:00:53] And and the game plays so smooth and it still looks incredible and it has a cute little story

[01:01:00] You know a new little character named chip who I don't hate

[01:01:04] It kind of has a hub hub world system, but it's not nearly as bad as 06 is is that's good

[01:01:10] It definitely addresses a lot of the issues 06 had but they just had to throw in that weird wear hog thing

[01:01:16] Which if it wasn't if there wasn't so much of it

[01:01:19] It wouldn't be that big of an issue, but I would still recommend unleashed. I don't hate unleashed

[01:01:24] I think it's fine. Yeah, I want to play it, but I don't want to buy a physical copy

[01:21:03] Experience that doesn't have anything too gimmicky in it. It's just pure sonic the whole way

[01:21:08] Like the one thing it introduces is the wisps

[01:21:11] Which the wisps I think were a really good idea

[01:21:15] Where it's like these just weird little color shape things that like oh sonic can be a laser

[01:21:20] He can be a rocket. He can dig through shit. Like it's weird, but I think it works

[01:21:26] For what the game is trying to do

[01:21:28] Um, and I'd love the environment that it's in and it's a fairly short game

[01:21:31] I think an average playthrough for me is like four and a half hours

[01:21:35] So it's a pretty quick game. It real it relies a little bit too much on 2d segments

[01:21:41] um that control kind of

[01:21:43] but

[01:21:44] But overall it is still a really solid uh game in the sonic series that I would recommend

[01:21:49] I first played it on the we

[01:21:51] And having this game on the we was was really nice because it it's a perfect we game

[01:21:58] And the remaster I know there were some issues with it when it first came out of it like kind of running weird or whatever
