[00:00:44] That's Oscar! Doing cat things. He has one of those little toys that I was like, well, this one has like a little electronic feather toy on the end, but it also has like a little ball that he can smack around. And he's chosen this movie. He's chosen this time to do this intensely. So, yeah, I'm sorry, you're gonna have to bear with it for a minute, I'm sorry.

[00:01:14] I can't make him stop. He's so cute. Anyways. Oh, he's here. He's coming over. So how you been? It's been like four days since we last recorded. Yes? Four or five, whatever. We recorded on the Saturday, so that's... I thought we did on Friday. No, yeah, we did Saturday. Yeah, because you didn't want to do Friday, because it was...

[00:01:43] I was tired. It was a rough week. You had pancakes and you and I don't want to record. I did. We went to Cracker Barrel because we had gift cards and I said, I don't feel like eating dinner. I just want pancakes. So I got pancakes. And I enjoyed them. Every bite of them. Nice. What did you get? You got a boiga, right?

[00:02:06] I got a boiga, which Cracker Barrel is surprisingly okay at making. They're not like the best burgers you'll ever have, but they're fine for what they are. They're decent. Wait, come here. He wants love, so I'm gonna make him go up. He's under the desk, alright. You do you. Yeah. Yeah, no, this week hasn't been as bad as last week. It was terrible. Uh, this week, hopefully not as terrible.

[00:02:35] Well, tomorrow is terrible. What? Fucking the weather decided to be fucking freezing this week. But then tomorrow is gonna be 60. Only to go back down to like 50s and like lower for the rest of the week. So I'm just like, I can't. I had to, I didn't put, I was changing my sheets. Uh, and I was contemplating when I was doing that because you have to strip the bed, change the sheets. That was like, hmm. Maybe I'll take my electric blanket off. But I'm just going to go up.

[00:03:01] Nope. I'm glad I didn't because I had to turn it on last night because I was so cold. I had to turn the heat back on this morning because I was freezing last night. I was like, what the hell? Like. You gotta see if there's a setting on your thermostat where you can. It's old. So it doesn't do. Might need to get you a split. Like, um, new modern-y one. Because I have like a smart one. So like, I can control it via app. Which is nice. And then it's like, it has like a low temp and a high temp.

[00:03:32] Yeah. It's, I'm not, it's not a huge deal. Like, it. Might be a future thing though. Yeah, maybe when I have more money. But, um. Yes. But it is very helpful. No, no, no. Come here. Come here. Come here. It wasn't really that it was bad. It was just getting up in the morning when it's freezing sucks because I didn't want to get up. Oh, sorry bud. Oh, there you go. [00:03:59] He loves to get himself in the car. I have a bubby. Yeah. I've accomplished absolutely nothing this week though, for the most part. Like, I haven't played any games. I haven't watched anything because I've either been podcasting or I've been tired. You're actually taking up my Tamodachi Life right now by doing this. You know, I could be playing Tamodachi. I know you could make more. You're not even making the most cursed shit like some people I've seen are making.

[00:04:28] No, I'm just making all my favorite characters. I love that Nintendo had to turn off the sharing feature because people can't be trusted. To share me. Well, it's also because there's nothing like, well, I saw people talking about this in Reddit. All right. Be free. Like, there's no like, what was it called on the DS? The Mii Maker? No.

[00:04:54] When you could just go around and like if you pass someone else with a 3DS. There's no like, yes, there's no street pass function or anything on the DS. So it's hard for sharing. And there's no sharing Mii functionality. Which like, I think I talked about this last time. Which is like, it's good because it makes you innately more creative. Both at the same time. You see other people's Mii's and you're like, I want that. I wish I was that.

[00:05:22] I want to make the penis to marry the butthole. That actually happens. Yes. Yeah. The sad part is that wasn't even the most cursed. Yeah. Only one couple on my island is married so far. But there is quite a few love stories going on. Like I was telling Bill last night. So I made Asta, Mimosa, and Noel. And Asta first had a crush on Noel. But then he also had a crush on Mimosa.

[00:05:52] So I made him choose Mimosa. Only to realize that Mimosa hates his fucking guts. So he like has a crush on her. And like every time I try and get her to talk to him. She just fucking ignores him. Because she doesn't like it. Alex. So I should have kept him with Noel. I fucked up. Alex, your fanon is getting destroyed. The throuples. I know. There's no throuples. There's no throuples on Tamodachi life. Someone always gets their heart broken.

[00:06:22] Does this mean you've cracked the code? Like you've figured out the secret to Black Clover? Yeah. I guess it's Asta, Noel. Because clearly Asta, Mimosa is not working out. Oh, man. And then who else I add? Last night I added Mio and... Why am I forgetting his name? Mio and... Her side piece. Yes, her side piece. The one that doesn't matter as much. Just kidding. He does matter.

[00:06:52] Kyoka. Yeah. I added Mio and Kyoka last night. Which was fun. And I have to say, I'm really proud of how my Mio came out. Bill recognized her immediately. The only thing is, the game is lacking a side ponytail. So for Kyoka, I just had to give him long hair and I just drew on his little side thing, even though he doesn't have a ponytail. Your Jinchi and Miao Miao came out great. Yes.

[00:07:20] My Jinchi and Miao Miao also came out pretty... I was lucky that there was two hairstyles that just worked out really well. But it is funny. Kyoka does have a crush on Mio. He fell in love with her at first sight. Which was... I was like, yes! So... But so far, only one couple is married on my island. There's quite a few crushes, though.

[00:07:45] Funny enough, Megumi and Nobara are both have crushes on each other. And Yuji has a crush on Kikaru from Kaiju No. 8. What a pairing. It's a pairing, a rare pair that no one expected. Alex is just writing her own fan fiction. I guess so. Well, and then I'm still dating Zoro.

[00:08:13] We haven't gotten married yet, but, you know, I think it's coming. He's going to get lost going to the altar. I know, probably. You'll never see him again. But, yeah. That has been my life. I've been playing... So give me suggestions for more characters to put in. I don't know who else to add. Let me... Because I added... So I've done a Pocket Theory. I've done Blue Lock characters. I've done Haikyuu characters. I did One Piece, of course.

[00:08:44] You did Aruma. You haven't done JoJo's yet, have you? I did Aruma. JoJo's is really hard, though. That's the only thing. Like, because I've seen people's, like, JoJo characters, and they look phenomenal, but I'm just not that talented to draw all the facial features. And I just would, like... I don't want to not do a good job. You know what I'm saying? Like, so... That one I'm holding out on. Ugh.

[00:10:42] Because I've been either podcasting or tired. Yeah, I've been tired this week, too. Well, my back was killing me. It's not hurting that much anymore. So, I think I'm finally past it. All right. Just sit in my lap. You're finally past your 30-year-old just random pain at arcs. Well, no. I know what it was from. It was from vacuuming. Because the stairs... I don't know about you, but the stairs always kill me. Stairs are the hardest part.

[00:11:12] They're always annoying because the plugs are never conveniently placed. Well, and, of course, I did all the vacuuming. And then... Oh, well, actually, I had good news. So, last week I had brought Bubby to the vet. Was it last week or the week before? It was last week. Yeah. Because you actually forgot to fast them the previous week. No, it was... Was it last? I believe so. Either way. Either way. It doesn't matter.

[00:11:40] But we did some testing, which was good. Because Bubby's been having some tummy troubles with, like, the diarrhea. He's just a panicky diarrhea boy. Yeah. So, they ruled out everything looks super normal on the... It was, like, GI testing and stuff that they did. Everything looks super normal. So, honestly, the next step is next time he does have diarrhea, I have to bring a sample for them to test, which is gross.

[00:12:07] But I honestly think at this point where they didn't find anything, And they didn't find anything when they x-rayed him when he had, like, the really bad episode. And now that I'm giving him, like, a prebiotic with his breakfast in the morning, I just give it to both of them. I honestly think it's just stress and anxiety.

[00:12:30] Because he got diarrhea again, but it was only when he was, like, we had the duct cleaning, which the duct cleaning was vacuuming. Basically, like, a giant vacuum cleaner. So, I think that just, like, stressed him out. And then I vacuumed it, stressed him out more. He got it. Because it's gone now. Now we're settled back down. So, I think he's just a stressed out boy. I think he's just stressed.

[00:12:58] And he's just, he's trying to chew on wires. Oh, you are so naughty. He's in my lap right now. But, yeah. So, that was good news. We didn't find anything, which, I mean, is always good. But it also kind of stinks. Because it's, like, all right. Like, if it's stressed, there's not much I can do except what I'm doing now. But I just, I feel so bad for him. If you heard it, you'd understand.

[00:13:27] It's so, it's so sad when you just hear it come out. And you're, like, oh, mommy. Well, because it's in my downstairs. So, I'll be on the couch. I'll be, like, oh. Oh, like, I almost cry every time. I feel so bad for him. Hey. Chewing on the wire. Hey. He's being naughty. Well, he kept trying to go into my closet today. He loves doing that. And he keeps trying to eat my freaking headphones wire.

[00:13:58] He's in my lap because I thought this would, like, quell him. Calm him. But if anything, he doesn't know how to not be a nuisance. That's what I've determined. But Bubby's doing good for anyone who is worried about Bubby. And, of course, Poopy's doing good, too. She always worries about. It's so sweet. She, like, whenever it happens, she, like, waits by the litter box just to make sure he's okay. It's, like, super sweet. Or she's just, like, what the fuck is he doing in there? I don't know. What are the others?

[00:14:28] No. Thank God, no. Oh, my God. Thank God. She's, like, I want in on this. I want in on this. No, she will eat his barf. But she's never gone for a shit, thankfully. [00:14:58] Someone's being obnoxious. I am drinking a Olipop. I've been getting the Olipops. Prebiotic Botanicals Plant Fiber Soda. Non-GMO. In the flavor Ridge Rush. A new kind of soda. The funniest part is that this literally does not give you any sort of flavor. Like, it's literally just called Ridge Rush, and there was nothing else on it.

[00:15:26] So I assume, like, Ridge Rush, I was thinking Mountain Dew. Yeah. It would be, like, a non-super-sugary version of Mountain Dew. But honestly, it's kind of like a 7-Up. It's not Sprite. What was the... But it's not White Mountain Dew. What was the shitty, like, Walmart Mountain Dew, like, brand? Was it, like, Mountain Lightning? I think it was. Mountain Lightning and Dr. Thunder.

[00:15:55] And I would give it... I'd give this Olipop, which I did... I got this at Walmart. I would give it a... A 7 out of 10. You know, it's not, like, my favorite flavor. My favorite one so far has been the Cherry Cola for Olipop. But I like this one. It's pretty good. Nice. Oh my god. I am drinking... He's putting his face on the keyboard. Of course he is.

The only thing I saw was, like, modern Justin Bieber singing his classic songs, which was really funny. That was really funny. But then that was also kind of upsetting, because, like, thinking about it, like, so he performed his set. And he basically pulled up old YouTube videos and was doing karaoke.

[00:25:10] Yeah. And people praised him for it. But. Oh, I didn't see praise. I saw people laughing at their asses. Well, no, there was people laughing at Shane, but there was also people going, oh, I loved it. Like, it was just so silly and fun. But, like, if a woman had done that, you know that they would have, like, people would have been nasty to them. Nasty. Oh, yeah, because people, celebrities, that whole, that whole scene is just gross. It was just, it made me mad.

[00:25:36] But what I was really thinking about was, like, I was looking at some of the photos, like, some of, like, the videos of people in the crowd. That crowd looked fucking miserable. I'm like, why are you there if you're not gonna, like, actually enjoy the music? Like, everyone was just, like. No one goes to Coachella for the music. Straight face phone filming it. They're not even really watching it, just filming it for views. And I'm just, like, ugh.

[00:26:06] This is modern influencer culture, and it's gross. Like, ugh. There's, I don't know, there's nothing appealing to me. And then, like, I saw photos of after, because it's over now. And people were, like, leaving their camps. And people, like, leave brand new camping equipment and furniture. They just leave it there without it. Just rich people being rich people. Like, I'm just, like, ugh.

[00:26:28] And the saddest part is, like, Coachella was originally made as an event for people to get, like, access to musicians for a really low price. Because it was a protest of how expensive Ticketmaster was at the time. And still is now. And now to see what it's become is just like, wow. You became everything that you didn't stand for in the beginning. So, fuck Coachella. That looks terrible. And you forgot what you were about. No, me either. I mean, A, it's in Cali.

[00:26:58] And I have no offense to our friends from Cali. But I have no desire to go to Cali. Yeah. Sorry. We're going to Vegas, though. Come say hi to us. No, they won't be there. Because there's going to be an F1 race going on. Oh, yeah. True, true, true. But, yeah. I just, like, I just can't believe, like, people would, like, the vibes of those crowds look terrible. Like, honestly, enjoy it from your TV because they stream it all, too.

[00:27:26] It's not even enjoyable from that. It looks like ass. Like, just in general. Yeah. I was just like, ugh. Like, it's sad because you see, like, we, I mean, we go to concerts pretty often. You see people like that. Like, I get, like, take a couple videos, but you don't need to film. I prefer concerts. I prefer concerts on Saturday. I don't worry. I think I'd want to go to a festival. They kind of scare me a little. Yeah. But, yeah, I just thought it looked miserable.

[00:27:56] And I was like, wow. Because even, like, to the people performing. Like, what a lame crowd to perform to. Like. Yep. Yeah. So, Coachella. It's just modern. It's stuff ruined by modern influencer culture. Yeah. I really, I can't wait for the influencer bubble to pop because. It already did. It's just now. It's just like the stragglers running around. I just, like, I hate that. Well.

Well, it's just annoying that, like, I feel like you, like, can't even go somewhere without, like, a kid, like, trying to film something somewhere and just being annoying. Just, like. DoucheTubers. Oh. The only thing that actually has been pretty entertaining, though, is do you want to know what a new TikTok trend is? What? It's going to, um. What's that?

[00:28:54] A Scientology building and trying to get as far in as possible before they get kicked out? They're speed running the Scientology buildings. You gotta be careful there, though. I know. They'll get you sometimes. It was so funny. Like, well, the thing is, they're live streaming it, so I feel like they're not doing anything. But, like, it's crazy, like, to see these kids just, like, rushing in and the Scientology people be like, no! Because they don't want to see their culty secrets.

I just thought it was funny. I'm sorry. Alex, most people do because it's all been leaked. It's all been leaked at this point. Well, then let the kids run through the building. It's fine. And then I'm looking at the comments and every one of his comments down below is like downvoted to hell. And he's like complaining. He's like, why am I getting downvoted? I'm like, first off, this is Reddit. Welcome to Reddit.

[00:30:40] Second of all, you came to the 3DO subreddit and shat-talked the console to the group of people that are obsessed with it. Even if your point wasn't wrong, which kind of wasn't. He was being general about graphics in which he wasn't really wrong. But this is Reddit. They don't want a different opinion. So they're going to downvote you to hell. And when you... I was going to say, do you share your podcast on the 3DO Reddit? No.

[00:31:10] Why not? If they're going to discover it, I'd rather someone else post it there because... Redditors don't like self-promotion. I'll do it. Alex, Redditors don't like self-promotion. But, yeah, so the about me anime trend, it was basically just a whole bunch of different questions and then you... Different categories, then you just pick your show that you think reflects it the most. So how do you want to go through it? Do you want to just start from the top row, go across?

It's been said to death. But, yes. One Piece for both of us as favorite anime. Ignoring that. Favorite. No. Best story. This one was difficult because there's a lot of really good stories.

[00:36:32] I said Fruit Baskets just because I always found that one to be, like, super in-depth. And, like, the. Just, like, the. It goes to so many deep places. And then just, like, the conclusion is so. It has, like, one of the better anime conclusions, which is one of the reasons why I wanted to give it the bump. What'd you put about you, Alex? I put a Pocket Theory Diaries. Yeah. Because that's been the most engaging story I think I've seen in an anime in, like, so long.

[00:37:01] And that one has the benefit, too, that it's not over. Like, there's still a lot left. Yeah. It's not over. But, like. Also just the fact that, like. Going back. Because last year, I remember I went back and re-watched season one. And then, like. I watched season two. Then I went back and re-watched season one. And then re-watched season two. And it was, like. The amount of, like, foreshadowing. But how subtle it was. And the build-up to season two and the story.

[00:37:27] Like, season one and season two were all centered around the same story arc. And the next, like, season that we get is going to be a different, like, major story arc. But I just love it. And I think so many people were able to, like, get enthralled with it so quickly. And, like. I just feel like we haven't had a really good mystery in a while, too. Yeah. Drama, mystery. Romance. It's a lot of things. It has it all. It's a great story.

[00:37:57] According to Matt, who has been reading the light novel, apparently. Apparently, like, the light novel where it catches up is, like, really early. There's a shitload of content left. Yeah. So. Hopefully it does well, like, popularity-wise. It's gotten the shaft a lot lately, but. Well, it's getting a movie in another season. It is. I'm talking about just, like. It deserved enemy of the year. And I don't even think it's going to get it this year. Well, I'm going to hope it does.

He is an artist. Like, he really is. Yes. Like, his style. For. JoJo's. It just, like. It's so creative. And it's so detailed. And there's so much effort put into every single character. And.

[00:39:59] It's also. It's one of those series that, like. As soon as you look at it. You know it's JoJo's. And you can immediately recognize it. But. And. I just love it. And I love the fact, too. That, like. It's changed throughout, like. The series as well. Because, like. Part one. Is different than part two. Part two is different than part three. Part three is different. Like. Each one has its own unique. Style. And there's different, like. And he really likes to. Like.

[00:40:29] One of the things that he really pulls in. Is, like. The music he was listening to at the time. And, like. With that. Like. The time period that the music was also. In as well. And he pulls those into his storytelling. And his art. And it's just. It's so cool. JoJo's is just so artistic. There's the meme that goes around. That every season. It just gets more and more bizarre. And more and more stylistic. I wonder why. Uh. But, yeah. It's. It's just so cool.

And it was basically just. Sailor Moon. But with boys. So. As a child. That was. That was what you were into. At the time. And then I grew up. And I realized. Kind of like Sailor Moon. For different reasons. It's a great show. I always loved how like. Like. You would. We'd be watching.

And it's very thought provoking. It's one of those shows that gets you in the feels. Even if it's not particularly sad at the time. Yeah. Like. Exactly.

I like it a lot. That's understandable. I'm going to rewatch it probably soon. So.

They got married. No. I wish. See. I enjoy. That's part of it being good. Yeah. But you also get to enjoy like. Stark failing. And Fern. Giving no fucks. See. And I love that too. But then like. There's always the constant thought of like. There's going to be a point. Where.

And I ended up going with. Rurouni Kenshin. The original series. Mm. And my reasoning for that. Just kidding. Yeah. The manga does a piece of shit. I know. The story's still great. That's why I bought the manga second hand. All right. Anyways.

[00:45:59] Moving on from that. Um. The. The reason I picked. Rurouni Kenshin. Was because. It is not a super like. Magical. Show. Like it's very. I didn't know you could hear that. It's not a super like. Magical. Like power heavy show. Like it's all like. Practical sword fighting. That's literally what I think.

[00:46:28] That's fine. It doesn't have to be your decision. I chose. I was just one about my thinking. And. Can you like not. I don't know what's wrong with me. No. But I. I went with something that just had more interesting. Like. It was very based around like swords. And like actual like. Practical fighting. Which I just found interesting. Um.

[00:46:58] The way they animated it too. Was really. For the time. That's why I picked that one. Hmm. So what's your choice? I picked soul leveling. Because it's the junk food of anime. You just can't help but watch it. And. The fight scenes are very entertaining. I know there's. Well the thing is too. Is I. I wanted to put one piece. But I. I. Held myself back. And I only put it twice. Uh. So I couldn't put it for everything.

[00:47:26] But one piece also does have. Like some of the fight scenes. Like especially in Egghead. Whew. They were amazingly animated. But. I just went off of vibes. And like honestly. I feel like everyone enjoyed. Soul leveling. Fight scenes. Like they were just entertaining. They were solid. Yeah. And. And. It's just good junk food. But there are also. You get to see. One guy. Solo everything. Well. And like the thing is too. Is that like. They're not drawn out. Like some of them.

[00:47:55] Because there is some fights. Where I was like. Hmm. Maybe Dragon Ball. But then I thought about it. I'm like. But Dragon Ball. Takes a lot of time. To get like that satisfaction. Of the fight. And same with One Piece too. One Piece is guilty of this as well. I will say. But most shounens are. Yeah. Most shounens are. But. It's quick. But it's impactful. And you're like. Yeah. That was great. Most over. No. Overhated. Overhated. Next ones are going to be like. A tongue twister.

[00:48:25] A little bit. Yeah. And they're also very difficult. So. Most overhated. I had a few options for this one at first. Like at first I put down Barado. A couple of these were interchangeable for me too. Like I was like. I went back and forward a couple times. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like because the first I put down Barado. And like. I was kind of like. I sat on it for a bit. I'm like. It's overhated. But at the same time.

[00:48:55] Some of that is justified. And I was kind of like. Like. I ended up kind of getting second thoughts on that. I eventually settled on. Yashahime. As being most overhated. Just because. I mean I hate it. So. You've never watched it. I'm kidding. You're like the majority of the people who hate on it. I'm kidding. That's my thing. Is like. It's not good. Like it's. It's fair. It's very average. At best. In a lot of ways.

[00:49:23] But like the people that act like it. Ruined the original series. I'm like. You guys need to like. Get over yourselves. It's not that bad. They needed to just be like me. And just not watch it. Like that's it. Like all you had to do. That's the thing. They didn't. They didn't watch it. They just complained about it. Oh. Most of them. Don't watch it. Like everybody brings up the scene where she dies as this big emotional thing. And I've always just like. But like he just stands there. He doesn't give a fuck. Bye bitch. He was more upset when Rin died. I'm just saying.

[00:51:21] So what's your most overhated? Well, I put My Hero Academia because in the beginning people hated on it. They still do, but not nearly as bad. They still do, but I feel like people now have appreciation. Now they just hate on the fan base. No, yeah. Now it's just hatred on the fan base. But I remember in the beginning because I was watching it from the beginning when it came out. So you joined later. But I was there from the beginning. And I remember people were hating on it.

[00:51:51] Like saying, oh, it's not good. But like, you know, it was some of the beginning season episodes, not super great. Season one, not all of it was strong. But as it went on, though, no one can deny season four. No, not season four. Which one is it? Season six. The start of the like when they go and invade season six. And onward phenomenal.

[00:52:21] Like that show is incredible. And like, yeah. It's unfortunate that season four and five are very up and down. There's a lot of people who don't like season one either. Yeah. Season one is weak. Yeah. There's definitely ups and downs. But I think it was very overhated at the time. I think people were also just like mad because it was the new big one that came out. And that's usually what happens with a new big one. So, yeah.

[00:52:50] I just remember there was a lot of hate there. And people still hate on it. Yeah. People still hate on Naruto. But yeah, exactly. So, yeah. That was my overhated. I will say the fan base for My Hero does not help themselves. No, that's. Yeah, that is the problem, too. It was, I think a lot of people associate My Hero Academia with the fans. And it's like, damn it. Why? It's good. The fans are just fucking weird.

[00:53:20] Yeah. Yeah. They get a little too into it. But moving on now to most underrated. This one. This one was a little. I think I'm going to have the same one. Possibly. I said Black Clover. I did, too. Because it is underrated. Because it's like. It is. It's the shonen that gets overlooked. Because it's not. Well, and I think one of the things, too, is that in the beginning.

[00:53:50] Like going back. Because I went back and rewatched it at the beginning of this year. And in the beginning. I do agree that the animation was not the strongest. But they also were not putting in their full effort or budget into it at that point. But the show just keeps on getting better and better and better. It has an amazing story. It does. I will also say, though, I believe a lot of the hatred comes from people who were primarily sub-watchers. That, too. Yes. Because I love Dallas Reed as Asta.

[00:54:19] But, my God, his Japanese VA. No offense to them. But, oof. It was a choice. It was a choice. But, like, I don't know. Like, people don't watch it far enough. Like, because once you start, like, really getting to know all the black bulls. And that community grows. And, like, Asta's learning and growing. But then you still have Yuno, who's, like, a good counterbalance, like, rival.

[00:54:45] Because no matter what, he still supports Asta and wants him to achieve his dream. Like, it's so good. And people don't acknowledge it for what it is. I always joke. Because the Naruto comparisons always come. Because they just have a similar basic premise. Basic. Yeah. But I always joke saying it's like if Naruto, if it was, like, a Naruto where Sasuke wasn't an emo dickhead. Yeah. He was actually a supportive friend.

[00:55:14] Like, I really do think a lot of people wrote it off thinking that it was a Naruto copy. Also, Asta's swimming in bitches and Naruto was not. Hell yeah! Like. Oh. And Asta doesn't even try. No, he doesn't. He just has. He has to try on my island, but not in the actual series. Well, no. Because, well, for most anime watchers, he's still hung up on Sister Lily right now. Yes. Not a picture. It's just such a.

[00:55:44] Spoilers, Alex. It's not like I haven't said it before. And the thing is, too, is, like, we're getting season two and that's probably going to be. Like, because where season one left off is the best fucking fight in the series. Yeah. Season. Black Clover had the unfortunate. I've said it before. Black Clover had the unfortunate, like, luck of ending right when it gets really fucking good. Which is a common thing I've noticed with a lot of anime. Yeah. Yeah, I'm psyched for season two, though.

[00:56:14] It is fun. I got to get back into the manga, too, because the art is so pretty. Same. I do, too. And that is one thing, too, is the art is so unique. And I love the anime, but I also feel like, too, the manga, the art in the manga doesn't always translate perfectly to the anime. But that's, like, a lot of them. But I love reading the manga because I love the art. Like, their art style is just so them and so unique to them. It's great. It's very underrated.

[00:56:44] Black Clover, underrated for both of us. Yeah. All right. And moving now on to overrated. Overrated. This one was tough because, like, I don't like to call things overrated, but also there are series where I just don't get it. And for this one, I chose Demon Slayer. Me, too! Because I've tried to watch Demon Slayer a few times. I know you've watched it entirely. I've watched it all, yeah.

[00:57:13] I've tried and I just don't get it. Like, I've never understood. It's pretty. I get that. But I don't know. I don't understand the fanfare, to be honest. I mean, I can, like, as someone who's watched the whole thing, I can definitely agree. It's beautiful to watch. The animation, they do put so much into it.

[00:57:37] But also, like, to me, it lost so much luster when I saw the actual manga panels and I was like, wow, they're really fluffing this up. Like, holy crap. Because the story was dry from, like, what I was watching. The story is pretty simple. I mean, it's really not that big of a story. And there is a lot of repeating. Is there good emotional impact? Yes, I can agree that there is.

[00:58:05] But it kind of follows the same pattern of, like, oh, my God. This is a demon slayer character. He slays demons. Do you want to know why he slays demons, Bill? Because his family was killed by demons. Oh, my God. Look at this demon slayer, Bill. Do you want to know why he slays demons? Oh, my God. His family was killed by demons.

[00:58:33] See, maybe it's because my favorite anime involves a half demon. That's the main character. Yeah, you have a vibe. It's not my favorite anime. And I still think it's overrated. Like, I just didn't. It's carried by the beautiful animation. Well, yeah, the animation is beautiful. But I just didn't vibe with any of the characters. Like, I just was like, they're here. No, that is one thing, too. I mean, none of them are going to make it on my island in Tamodachi life. But, yeah, no.

[00:59:00] There was, like, I guess the only character that I liked was the one Inosuke. But that's just because he's chaotic. He was the one with the boar head mask, if you got that far. No, I got, like, two episodes. So you didn't get that far. And mostly I like him just because he's chaotic. And I love a chaotic character. Yeah, I saw a bunch of choices from other people's, like, lists for this one. And I found them fascinating because a lot of people have some very wild takes. That's all I'll say. Yeah.

[00:59:30] But granted, it's all opinion. Yeah. I'm sure Solo Leveling was for some people. Oh, yeah. No, I mean, I understand that one. No, yeah. I also saw a lot of Chainsaw Mans. I saw a lot of JJKs. See, I'm not the biggest JJK fan, but even I wasn't going to call it overrated because it does have some good moments. Now, this one was interesting to me. Has aged well. I said Yu Yu Hakusho.

[01:00:00] That's a good choice. That's a very good choice. Well, because I was thinking about it. I was like, I was thinking about older shows I've watched. I was like, Dragon Ball. I like it. But there's some JJK in Dragon Ball. There's a reason why they had to cut it down to Kai for the re-release. Or I was thinking like other older shows. And I was just kind of like, yeah, a lot of them haven't aged well.

[01:00:25] But then I was like, when we watched JJK, not JJK, Yu Yu Hakusho, I was like, Yu Hakusho is still pretty fun the entire way through. No, yeah. Like the ending. Yeah, the ending is not the best. But like that final arc is weak. But like aside from that, like, I mean, it was weak in the manga too. So it's not even like a case of. Well, it was a case of the author was like, I'm no longer interested. I just want to do Hunter x Hunter. I want to do that story. Yes. No, but I fucking adore Yu Yu Hakusho.

[01:00:54] That's been one of the funnest watches I think I've ever had in an anime. What did you pick, Alex? So mine is like a very mature story. There's not a lot of jokes or anything. Oh. And like. The animation. It still looks great. You know, ghost stories. You know, it's a very mature, calming show. Like, and you know, you could watch it today.

And it ended up making it significantly more popular than the original. Because. Who cares about the. Like.

[01:03:21] Anytime I see someone be like, is there a faithful dub for ghost stories? And everyone's like. Yeah. And it made it. It's. It's only like three episodes of it exists because it sucked. Like there is. There is actually a faithful dub of ghost stories. But like it's lost media. And there's like maybe like three episodes you can find online of it. And it's not it's it makes you realize how boring that show was. Because holy crap. Yeah. Because the perfect dub aged gracefully. It was like the first like a bridge series basically.

[01:09:10] She's such a different character compared to like. A lot of other series lately. Just because she like doesn't give a fuck. Like at all. And she like doesn't need help. She basically just kind of lives off vibes. Damn it. Damn it. Okay. Okay. Just sit. Just sit. I think the moment like for. For Mau Mau that really like settled her. It's like my favorite.

So it's like how the hell are these? Have they watched? Have they watched a fucking show before? Yeah, exactly. That too. I'm just like calm down people. Have they watched Dragon Ball? Have they watched? Year five is literally the form where he feels the most free. Like that's literally what he says. And that's the whole point of the character.

[01:11:37] Like of the form is freedom. That's just called they have nothing to complain about. That they're complaining about. Exactly. Like so. But Luffy, he's an amazing character. Like one of the things that one of the other characters in the show Mihawk said is that one of Luffy's abilities that doesn't get talked about as much is just his ability to bring people together. Like, um, and it's just like he brought together this crew. Is it about the friends that they made along the way? All right. You know what? Fuck you.

[01:12:07] Next, next one. Oh, come on. Enough with the friends that we made along the way. But anyways, that one is definitely Luffy's my favorite character of all time. I just, I don't see anyone else ever being up there. I mean, I have the most figures, merchandise, and art of him. So clearly he's my fucking favorite. Luffy D dog. Yeah, we established that he literally isn't doing this for any fucking reason other than just fucking love of the game. He's just straight up here just to be a fucking asshole because he can. And that is why he's like such a fun villain. Because it's like, what's his motive? He's just like, for the lols, man. For the lols. I don't even care if I'm the strongest at this point.

[01:14:30] Because like, he's not. Like, Sasomaru could beat him if he wanted. He just doesn't care enough to. He doesn't care enough to until he has to at the end. Yeah. And then it's like, it's like, okay. But, um... Yeah, no, he's just... He's literally like just in internet. And then he marries Kagura. Or at least that's what the fans want. Alex, that's... [01:15:01] Anyways. Anyways. Naraku though. Fucking great villain. Just because he just straight up is just doing it for the... He is a literal internet troll. I also love that one because I posted that in someone's server. And they joked being like, I enjoy the guts on you to pick Kagome as the best villain. She is. I mean, technically the story... No, Alex. The true villains of that show are her friends. Let's be real here.

[01:15:31] No, it's Kagome. She broke the jewel on purpose to fuck with everyone. Don't think she did on purpose, I think. She did. That was an unfortunate... Nope. Chug test us. [01:17:59] To like building this bond with another character as they fall. As he slowly falls in love. But also as he does, he's learning the concept of love at the same time. And how. Even though. And the other character, Komugi, that he falls in love with. How. Love it. It can. Like she's blind. Like she doesn't see him. But it's just.

[01:18:29] It's based on the emotions. Games they play. Because. They're bonding over. Over a game. I'm brainfiring the actual game of it. What that they play. But they're bonding over it. Because he can't. He keeps. Playing other games against people. And he's constantly beating them. And then. She. He can never be. She is. Always beats him no matter what. And slowly through that bond. He. Like. Basically. Changes his character.

[01:18:58] To the point. Other characters on the show. Are actively trying to get rid of her. Because they're changing him in ways that they don't want to see. So that he can be the perfect king. But in the end. He's. You know. He's following his own path. And he wants to protect her. And he's choosing. To change. What would be stereotypical. Of his role. As the. Chimera ant king. And instead. Just wants to spend the rest of. His life with her. Which ends in tragedy. Because they both end up dying after.

[01:19:29] Which is sad. But. He. Like. He's one of my favorites. I put him on my. On the top ten. I didn't put him as number one. But. He is my personal favorite. One. Of that list. Nice. [01:22:29] I'm reading the manga now. Because of it. Like. Just. It was such a fun story. And the romance is really. The main focus of it. Because like. The rest of the characters. They exist. They're there. They're there for fluff. Basically. For the most part. Or for like. Furthering the relationship. Which is fun. The. The only other like. I didn't care about any of the other characters. Oh yeah. They're. They're just there for convenience. Like. They're not there for. The actual. Like anything else really. Oh god. Bubby's falling. The way you're framing this character. And I'm like. I don't know. It's just. Oh. Like. The main characters are just. They are so adorable together. And I will say.

[01:23:59] They actually do get together pretty quickly as well. Which is pretty nice. But. And it's. One of the things too. Is like. They do. Face. You know. Challenges. Of like. People looking at them. And saying. Why are you two together? And then. But. And he feels very like. Self-conscious. But she's always there. And she's like. I like. She's like. I love him for him. Like. He's a wonderful person. And she also finds him handsome. Yeah. It's also interesting too.

[01:24:29] Because you got to remember. It takes place in Japan. And Japan is. Is very different culturally. In that way too. So it actually hits us very differently. Even then. Yeah. But it's also. It's interesting to see too. Like a character. That. Even when like. Because there's like. One scene. Which. It's a really good scene. Of like. When. They all went to a karaoke bar together. Which was a lot of her friends. And then he joined as well. With his guy friend. Who is the. The other handsome looking character. And. Like.

[01:24:59] At one point. Like. He leaves the room. But he overhears. So. At one point. He overhears some of the girls. Be like. Why are you dating him? Like. He is not for you. And she's like. No. You're wrong. And he like. Is hurt by it. But he also like. Doesn't want to make a scene. He kind of lets it go. And then the building. Lights on fire. At one point. And he goes in. And he saves them. And he says. You know what? I don't fucking care. You're my girl's friends. I'm going to save you. Even if you don't like me. Because he's a hero. And I just. For some reason.

[01:25:29] I just pictured that meme. Of the. The house on fire. And the person runs in. And they see like. This person that they despise. In there. And then they run back in. With the fucking gasoline hose. No. Gasoline bottle. He's not like that. He went in with the extinguisher. He saved them. But. It's just such a cute story. I just love it. And oh. It's on my list of stuff. You need to watch it. I know. It's so good. It's actually on my list. For this year. At some point. Because I got to justify that. High dive subscription. Yeah.

Because it doesn't really follow traditional romance. Like. It is. At first. You think it's like a weird. Like. Harem thing. Like. Like. Who's going to be the one he picks. Like. That. That kind of thing. But then like. The more you watch it. You're like. Why is this really weird and philosophical? And like.

[01:27:27] Why does this get really deep all the time? And like. Why do they actually like. Like. It. It gets to a point where you like. Realize like. These. There's like some deep shit going on. And I'm just like. Why is this so fucking complicated? Just for a romance. Ugh. No. It's. It's a. It's a weird. Show. Like. I don't actually think it's like. The best romance ever. Because I've seen better ones at this point. But. It's fascinating. Because of how weird. Weird it's structured compared to most shows.

We're gonna die. Whereas. This one is very much of like. Like. Well. Everyone's stoned now. But we gotta find a way to save the world.

[01:28:27] And I just. I feel like when you. Like. Cause really. There isn't a lot of like. Apocalypse. Kind of shows. That are positive. Right? Like. It's a positive apocalypse. You know. Like. Maybe it's. We're struggling. Like. Think about it. Like. There really isn't that many. There might be a couple. But. The only one I can really think of. Is like. Zom 100. 100. And that's just. Yeah. He's like. He's so. I don't fucking care anymore. But honestly. That's just his mindset though. Like. Yeah. That's his mindset. But everyone else is like. This fucking sucks.

It just so happens. That like. One of the first guys. In Japan. To get. Like. Freed from stone. Is this amazing scientist. And he just does what he does.

[01:29:26] To save the world. But also staying in his own core values. Too. Of like. You know. Cause he could be tempted. Of like. You know. This is my time. I could take over the world. I have all the power. But instead. He's like. No. I want to make sure. Everyone comes back. Back. I'm going to free. Everyone from stone. And we're going to fix the world. And bring it back. To the state that it was. Which is just. Really. Fun. And cool. And I don't know. Like. I think it's been getting a lot more. Watch ship.
