[00:00:09] Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back from a long hiatus to the Pre-Order Bonus Podcast. It's January 2nd, 2025.

[00:00:19] Ladies and gentlemen, you're joined by one of your hosts, Cameron Warren and also the one and only Pixel Professor, Jacob Price.

[00:00:28] Jake, how was your holiday break and how are you doing in this new year of 2025?

[00:00:34] Holiday break has been pretty, pretty good. Been able to relax. Had a nice little vacation in Mexico.

[00:00:46] Viva Mexico.

[00:00:47] Yeah, got to be on a beach for a little bit, which was great. Played a lot of games, ate way too much junk food. My body's like, please eat an apple.

[00:00:59] Please eat an apple.

[00:01:00] Please. My body's begging me to eat something that doesn't have like a ton of chocolate or sugar in it.

[00:01:07] So...

[00:01:08] You eat like four Reese's Cups for breakfast and like a candy cane.

[00:01:13] Have you seen the Jim Gaffigan bit where he talks about eating on vacation while on vacation?

[00:01:22] Yes.

[00:01:22] You know, he's like, well, we just had lunch and oh, it looks like we could have a little snack down the road here and that should tie us over until dinnertime.

[00:01:33] It's 100% accurate.

[00:01:35] Yes.

[00:01:35] That's kind of just been my break has been Jim Gaffigan eating vacation bonanza.

[00:01:41] It's been great.

[00:01:43] Very nice.

[00:01:44] How was your holidays, man?

[00:01:47] It was good, man.

[00:01:49] Spent a lot of time with family.

[00:01:51] Had a few different parties and friends to get together with and family.

[00:01:59] Didn't really do much in terms of like getting out of the house, you know, kind of just chilled.

[00:02:06] Went meandering, adventuring through the Steam sale and played a little bit of video games.

[00:02:13] I'll say the one thing that we did do every night during the break, my wife and I, this was like a surprise impromptu thing.

[00:02:24] I decided to download Case of the Golden Idol, which is on Game Pass.

[00:02:29] And so my wife and I have been playing, Virginia and I have been playing every night on Xbox.

[00:02:35] I'm in control and then she's just helping me solve the puzzles.

[00:02:39] That was a fantastic experience.

[00:02:41] Great game.

[00:02:42] Like, I had heard so many great things about it, but was scared off from it because thinking that it was going to be just more, more, I don't know, like frustrating or challenging than I thought it was going to be.

[00:02:55] And it is challenging, but it's challenging in like the right ways.

[00:02:58] And so we played through that and it was a fantastic experience.

[00:03:02] Highly recommend, Jake.

[00:03:03] You got to get on that one.

[00:03:05] It's downloaded.

[00:03:06] I got it downloaded.

[00:03:07] Just got to start it.

[00:03:08] Yeah, I think it's a great just co-op experience to play with your significant other.

[00:03:13] You can just sit there, one of you controls.

[00:03:15] You're like just solving puzzles together and like trying to unravel this mystery.

[00:03:20] And it starts off, and the thing that the game does really well, and hopefully you'll play and wind up doing an episode on it.

[00:03:26] But the game, one thing that does really well is it has that awesome slow buildup where it gives you time to develop like the skills that the game asks of you.

[00:03:37] Nice.

[00:03:37] And then it culminates in, it gets more challenging and more challenging like as you progress.

[00:03:43] So anyway.

[00:03:44] I love it when a game really sets you up in that kind of way.

[00:03:48] It doesn't feel like it's holding your hand very much, but it just pushes you along, nudges you forward at the right rhythm, at the right pace.

[00:03:57] That always feels really good.

[00:04:00] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:04:04] Yeah, that was me.

[00:04:05] And then otherwise, literally exploring the deepest depths of the Steam Winter Sail.

[00:04:13] Nice.

[00:04:15] Probably bought, and I'm not even joking about this, and I do not recommend this, but this is kind of what I do.

[00:04:22] Probably bought maybe eight different games and returned like six of them.

[00:04:28] And I'm not kidding.

[00:04:30] And then it's not like this necessarily that they were bad games.

[00:04:34] It was just like I would play my hour and I would kind of figure out like, is this for me?

[00:04:40] Yeah.

[00:04:41] And they weren't.

[00:04:42] And so I just return it.

[00:04:43] And so I ended up picking up.

[00:04:48] What did I end up picking up?

[00:04:50] Oh, yeah.

[00:04:50] I ended up picking up a couple, a few things.

[00:04:54] But the two main ones I got Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader.

[00:04:58] Oh, okay.

[00:04:59] Yeah.

[00:05:00] Which sucked me in.

[00:05:01] It was like 25 bucks for this massive turn-based tactical RPG in the Warhammer universe.

[00:05:07] Really good reviews.

[00:05:08] Really good reviews.

[00:05:09] Another game that's really hooked me in.

[00:05:10] And I was shocked that this game hooked me in.

[00:05:12] I didn't think that would happen.

[00:05:13] And it's very timely because review codes actually just went out for the sequel.

[00:05:18] And it comes out in a month from, I think, today.

[00:05:21] And that's Kingdom Come Deliverance.

[00:05:23] Very nice.

[00:05:25] So that game has sucked me in.

[00:05:27] I am fully invested in Kingdom Come Deliverance.

[00:05:30] And I'm like, I'm ready to kind of see that game through, which was a very nice surprise because that...

[00:05:38] I dabbled with that like maybe two years ago and kind of just jumped in for like a couple hours.

[00:05:43] I was like, yeah, this isn't for me.

[00:05:45] And this time around, for some reason, I was able to get through a little bit more of it.

[00:05:48] And the game really has grown on me over the course of several hours.

[00:05:52] So anyway.

[00:05:52] Yeah, this is an interesting one because when this game came to Game Pass, Cameron and I both tried it out for a potential episode, I feel like, for the show.

[00:06:02] So I played maybe like three hours, ran into some lockpicking mechanism and was like, screw this game.

[00:06:12] I like...

[00:06:13] It was necessary to progress and I just could not do it.

[00:06:18] I was playing on controller.

[00:06:21] Yeah, so I fell off of this one and I just kind of let it go.

[00:06:25] But it actually just came up on Epic sort of end of the year, one free game a day thing.

[00:06:31] Free, right?

[00:06:32] So I snagged it for free.

[00:06:34] I don't know if I'm going to get around to it because for Christmas, I got Metaphor Re-Fantasio.

[00:06:41] And that one's got me, dude.

[00:06:44] I'm actually really surprised with how much that I'm enjoying that and kind of just going back to it.

[00:06:49] But that one is definitely working for me right now.

[00:06:53] So...

[00:06:54] But funnily enough, my plan is to beat Metaphor.

[00:06:59] But I do not believe that I will play Persona 5 or any of the Persona games after beating that, actually.

[00:07:07] Because I don't think I'll care about the setting nearly as much as I care about it in Metaphor.

[00:07:12] Metaphor.

[00:07:15] Now, Metaphor...

[00:07:18] I put probably 10 to 12 hours in Metaphor.

[00:07:22] I really...

[00:07:23] I want to love that game so much.

[00:07:26] I really, really want to.

[00:07:29] But for whatever...

[00:07:31] I don't know.

[00:07:31] It's just something about how it's put together.

[00:07:34] And I'm not saying it's put together poorly.

[00:07:35] It's not.

[00:07:36] Like, I can feel how well done it is and all that stuff.

[00:07:39] But for whatever reason, it's just...

[00:07:41] It's throwing me...

[00:07:42] It feels hard for me to make progress.

[00:07:46] And I don't know why.

[00:07:47] I don't know if it's the difficulty or if I'm just not playing it right.

[00:07:50] I'm doing something.

[00:07:52] I don't know.

[00:07:53] It's a weird...

[00:07:54] It's just a weird game.

[00:07:56] It's a weird game.

[00:07:56] I completely respect it.

[00:07:58] I really want to love it.

[00:07:59] So, Jake, hopefully you'll power through.

[00:08:02] It sounds like you're sucked in, though.

[00:08:03] Yeah.

[00:08:04] I think I'll probably put...

[00:08:05] I think I'll beat it.

[00:08:07] But I do think that at one point, or at some point, I wouldn't be surprised if the game

[00:08:12] got slow for me.

[00:08:15] And then I'll just start playing it a lot less.

[00:08:17] But I'll finish it.

[00:08:18] I just imagine it'll take me a long time to do so.

[00:08:23] Gotcha.

[00:08:25] Well, with that, ladies and gentlemen, this is the beginning of the year.

[00:08:30] So, 2025.

[00:08:32] It's a new year.

[00:08:33] We spend the first couple episodes of the year talking about what is going to happen in

[00:08:39] the future.

[00:08:39] We become soothsayers.

[00:08:41] Yes.

[00:08:41] And if you've listened to this podcast for a long time, you know that we're super bad

[00:08:44] at this.

[00:08:45] And we get every prediction wrong.

[00:08:47] But we have a lot of fun doing it.

[00:08:48] I mean, when we start writing these predictions, I just want to add in here.

[00:08:54] I probably revise my predictions list several times, like three or four times, because I

[00:09:00] always start with things that are really boring.

[00:09:03] Like, I don't know.

[00:09:05] Pokemon Legends ZA will release and it will score well on Metacritic.

[00:09:11] And then I'll come back to my list and I'll be like, you know what?

[00:09:16] I personally want something more to happen than just a game to come out and to review well.

[00:09:22] Because I want that for every game, right?

[00:09:23] Like, that's not exciting.

[00:09:24] And so...

[00:09:25] Yeah, of course.

[00:09:25] And so every time I come back to my predictions, I tend to let them snowball towards insanity

[00:09:32] and absurdity.

[00:09:35] This year, I have a few in here that are just...

[00:09:39] I don't know.

[00:09:40] I've got a few in here that I'm really excited to share because I think they're just really

[00:09:43] stupid.

[00:09:45] But I have a few in here also that...

[00:09:49] I don't know, guys.

[00:09:50] What if it happened?

[00:09:51] Like, what if it happened, though?

[00:09:53] What if it happens?

[00:09:53] Like, what if it happened?

[00:09:54] It could happen.

[00:09:56] Yeah.

[00:09:57] I mean, you know.

[00:10:01] I'm going to be honest with you.

[00:10:03] This year, I'm going completely wild.

[00:10:06] We're going off the rails.

[00:10:08] I don't even care anymore.

[00:10:09] This is all about manifesting destiny and manifesting positivity into the universe.

[00:10:16] And so that's what I'm going to do.

[00:10:18] So there are not even really more predictions this year.

[00:10:22] They're more like manifestations of what I would like to happen.

[00:10:26] Yes.

[00:10:27] But we should start off with...

[00:10:28] Let's review because we have stuff on the line.

[00:10:31] What's on the line this year?

[00:10:33] Because I literally can't remember.

[00:10:34] Same as we do every year.

[00:10:36] Go play a game.

[00:10:36] One of us will choose a game that the other person has to play.

[00:10:41] That's right.

[00:10:42] And I think I have to buy you lunch or something.

[00:10:44] Oh, we always do lunch in there, too.

[00:10:46] Yeah.

[00:10:47] We just...

[00:10:48] We basically just go out to lunch.

[00:10:49] Yeah.

[00:10:49] It's an excuse to hang out in real life.

[00:10:53] Okay.

[00:10:54] Let's jump in.

[00:10:55] I wrote these down.

[00:10:56] I'll go through them, and then we can discuss each one as they're needed.

[00:11:01] Some of mine are wild.

[00:11:03] Jake, some of yours are the biggest softballs of all time, and you still got something wrong,

[00:11:07] which is pretty funny.

[00:11:09] But...

[00:11:11] We'll start...

[00:11:12] Jake, we'll start with your first one, which is...

[00:11:14] Jake's number one 2024 prediction, Hollow Knight Silksong and Earthblade will release within

[00:11:22] a month of each other.

[00:11:27] Not only did we not get either of these games, Hollow Knight Silksong somehow never came out,

[00:11:40] despite literally being at a Nintendo Switch show like three years ago now.

[00:11:45] How long has it literally been?

[00:11:46] Three years ago?

[00:11:47] Three?

[00:11:47] I want to say Hollow Knight Silksong was announced in...

[00:11:52] Oh, my gosh.

[00:11:53] 2019.

[00:11:54] Is that true?

[00:11:57] I'm looking this up right now.

[00:11:58] When was Hollow Knight?

[00:11:59] I think it was pre-COVID.

[00:12:00] Oh, my gosh.

[00:12:01] Hollow Knight Silksong was announced on Valentine's Day 2019.

[00:12:05] 2019.

[00:12:10] Dude, hold on.

[00:12:12] Are we coming...

[00:12:12] We're coming up on six years since it was announced.

[00:12:17] That is insane.

[00:12:19] That's just insane.

[00:12:20] So, if you're in the Discord, you already know this conversation.

[00:12:24] This is...

[00:12:25] This is...

[00:12:26] And I've been saying it in a lot of the episodes.

[00:12:28] Hollow Knight Silksong, it's going to come out.

[00:12:30] It's going to get Shadow Drop to the Game Awards.

[00:12:31] I predicted that.

[00:12:32] Didn't happen.

[00:12:33] It's going to come out before the end of the year.

[00:12:34] Obviously, it didn't happen.

[00:12:35] It's January 2nd.

[00:12:36] And we heard literally nothing from Team Cherry this entire year.

[00:12:41] So, I have no idea where this game is.

[00:12:44] Is this game even going to come out in 2026?

[00:12:46] Or 2025?

[00:12:47] I don't know, dude.

[00:12:48] I mean, Team Cherry doesn't make promises anymore.

[00:12:50] They have...

[00:12:53] I don't...

[00:12:54] Okay.

[00:12:54] Does it come out in 2025?

[00:12:55] Dude, I'm not touching Hollow Knight Silksong with a 10-foot pole.

[00:13:01] Like, I...

[00:13:02] Unless I see the Install Now button, I'm not...

[00:13:07] Nope.

[00:13:08] Don't believe it, man.

[00:13:13] Uh...

[00:13:13] Yeah, dude.

[00:13:14] No, I...

[00:13:16] I...

[00:13:16] I'm not even going to put this on my fantasy critic for this upcoming year.

[00:13:19] Because this is the game that would have put me over the top and made me win the whole thing.

[00:13:23] And it felt like when I made that prediction...

[00:13:26] When I made that draft last year, that was like a guarantee.

[00:13:31] Oh, Hollow Knight Silksong, you're going to get 90 plus point...

[00:13:34] Or 90...

[00:13:35] It's going to be 90 plus Metacritic.

[00:13:36] Like, the whole thing.

[00:13:37] And now, I honestly don't even know.

[00:13:38] I'm not even going to touch it.

[00:13:39] Not it.

[00:13:40] Nope.

[00:13:40] Nope.

[00:13:40] So, passing that one along...

[00:13:43] It's funny.

[00:13:44] So, this is...

[00:13:44] I've done Fantasy Critic League twice now.

[00:13:48] I did it with another Discord.

[00:13:49] And now, our Discord did it for the first time in 2024.

[00:13:51] And we're doing another season in 2025.

[00:13:54] So, quick shout out to Soccer, who I'm in many Discords with related to gaming.

[00:14:00] And Soccer was first cursed in 2023 picking Silksong for Fantasy Critic League.

[00:14:06] I picked it for 2024 in this other league.

[00:14:09] And now the curse...

[00:14:11] Cameron has been affected by the curse.

[00:14:13] This curse snowballs.

[00:14:14] And so, whoever drafts Hollow Knight Silksong in 2025, just know that you take upon yourself

[00:14:20] willingly a curse.

[00:14:22] And that curse will haunt you the entire year.

[00:14:26] Yeah, I will not risk this curse.

[00:14:28] I will not risk it.

[00:14:30] And then you also...

[00:14:31] You said that Earthblade would come out and that just got delayed out of this year completely.

[00:14:35] We don't even know when this is coming out, right?

[00:14:37] I mean, I think it got delayed.

[00:14:39] I want to say I drafted it early.

[00:14:41] And then I...

[00:14:42] Because this was on my Fantasy Critic League.

[00:14:44] And then it delayed maybe four or five months into 2024.

[00:14:49] They were just like, nah, this is not coming out this year.

[00:14:52] It's not coming out this year.

[00:14:54] So, two...

[00:14:55] I mean, the good news is we still got two seemingly potentially incredible indie games that are

[00:15:01] still to come.

[00:15:02] So, like...

[00:15:03] And I think when we talk about 2025, that's going to be an interesting conversation.

[00:15:06] Okay.

[00:15:07] My next one...

[00:15:07] My first one was Switch 2 releases alongside a 3D Donkey Kong game.

[00:15:12] Obviously, Switch 2, it did not come out.

[00:15:16] Um...

[00:15:17] I think...

[00:15:19] From all...

[00:15:20] For all intents and purposes, the Switch 2 was supposed to come out in 2024.

[00:15:27] Right.

[00:15:28] I think that that was in some long-term Nintendo plan or like a PowerPoint deck or some like

[00:15:33] go-to-market thing.

[00:15:34] And the rumor is that they ran into production issues because Nintendo like kind of had a

[00:15:40] pretty light year, to be honest.

[00:15:43] Like a very, very quiet year for the most part.

[00:15:46] Would you say...

[00:15:47] Would you agree with that, Jake?

[00:15:48] I mean, it feels like the Switch...

[00:15:52] Like Nintendo's year was...

[00:15:53] Okay.

[00:15:54] It felt like it was the end of the Switch.

[00:15:56] I mean...

[00:15:57] The end of the Switch.

[00:15:58] Yeah.

[00:15:58] There were some cool games that came out and there were some new games that came out,

[00:16:01] but they definitely weren't like...

[00:16:05] I don't know.

[00:16:06] They were...

[00:16:08] What do you...

[00:16:08] B-tier mega franchise?

[00:16:11] Like main franchise, but B-tier releases?

[00:16:14] Does that make sense?

[00:16:15] So like...

[00:16:16] Yeah.

[00:16:17] These are like the games that Nintendo...

[00:16:19] Nintendo literally just holds on to games until they're ready to put them into the slate.

[00:16:24] And these feel like a bunch of games that they've just been sitting on until they were ready.

[00:16:29] Yeah.

[00:16:29] Until they have like an empty spot.

[00:16:31] Basically.

[00:16:32] Yeah.

[00:16:32] So like I'm thinking...

[00:16:34] The ones that come to mind for me are Legends of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom and like Mario

[00:16:38] and Luigi Brothership.

[00:16:40] Right?

[00:16:40] Like games that I think did well, like review wise, but...

[00:16:45] B-tier though.

[00:16:46] Yeah.

[00:16:46] But not the mega games that you would expect from Nintendo.

[00:16:50] The B-tier.

[00:16:55] Okay.

[00:16:55] That's mine.

[00:16:56] Jake, your next one was the Switch 2 launches with a new 3D Mario platformer and a new Donkey Kong.

[00:17:05] Donkey Kong comes out six months later.

[00:17:06] Obviously, that didn't happen.

[00:17:08] Nope.

[00:17:08] My next one was a Microsoft Studios game wins game of the year.

[00:17:13] And Jake, I'm going to let you know, I only missed this one by I think a month because Indiana Jones had a shot.

[00:17:19] I'm telling you.

[00:17:20] I'm telling you.

[00:17:20] Indiana Jones had a decent...

[00:17:22] Had a pretty decent shot to win game of the year.

[00:17:26] It did.

[00:17:27] And then it didn't.

[00:17:30] It's cursed.

[00:17:31] And then it came out...

[00:17:32] It just came out like in the middle of December, which means it doesn't get any publicity at all.

[00:17:40] It's wild because I saw...

[00:17:42] I want to say it was like Aaron Greenberg posted something on social media that was like,

[00:17:46] oh, and Indiana Jones gets game of the year by this publication that makes X amount of game of the year totals won.

[00:17:54] Which is great.

[00:17:55] Don't get me wrong.

[00:17:55] That's cool.

[00:17:56] But at this point, it's kind of a shame.

[00:17:58] I mean, I feel like game of the year disappears after December 15th.

[00:18:03] You know, as soon as people start checking out for holidays, game of the year stuff, it still matters and it's still important.

[00:18:10] But I think in a really big way, people start checking out.

[00:18:15] So a bit of a shame, but...

[00:18:18] I mean, it's probably not going to be...

[00:18:24] What one game of the year?

[00:18:25] Astro Bot.

[00:18:27] Yeah, I mean, it's not going to be Astro Bot.

[00:18:29] But this is a really good game.

[00:18:31] This is one of Xbox's best games in a while.

[00:18:32] We will have an episode on this, by the way, very soon.

[00:18:36] Once we get our early year stuff out of the way.

[00:18:41] But yeah, Indiana Jones was fantastic.

[00:18:43] I think it was one of the best games of the year.

[00:18:44] So I was close, but no cigar.

[00:18:47] Yeah, I mean, I think for the Game Awards 2024, it definitely would have been nominated in a bunch of categories.

[00:18:53] It would have taken home some prizes.

[00:18:56] And it probably won't get those nominations for 2025.

[00:19:01] No.

[00:19:02] Yep.

[00:19:03] Okay, Jake.

[00:19:03] Your next one was Honda Chocolatier doesn't come out.

[00:19:06] The biggest softball prediction of all time.

[00:19:11] Honda Chocolatier doesn't come out this year, but Stardew Valley 1.6 comes out in Q3.

[00:19:14] How did I let you get away with this one, man?

[00:19:16] Come on.

[00:19:17] You let me get away with it.

[00:19:18] Hold on.

[00:19:18] A little bit of...

[00:19:19] Let me defend myself here, okay?

[00:19:21] Okay.

[00:19:21] All right.

[00:19:22] So this prediction here, something that we try to do is that if you're going to do a softball,

[00:19:26] is that you have to make it multi-tiered, right?

[00:19:29] Okay.

[00:19:29] Okay.

[00:19:29] So that is this one.

[00:19:31] Okay, sure.

[00:19:31] This one is a little funky because Stardew Valley 1.6 released in Q3 on consoles, but had released on PC, I think, in March, I want to say.

[00:19:43] Okay.

[00:19:43] Haunted Chocolatier obviously did not release in 2024.

[00:19:47] And honestly, just tack that one on the list of indies that we all want yesterday, you know?

[00:19:52] But whatever.

[00:19:53] Yes.

[00:19:54] So...

[00:19:55] Haunted Chocolatier is never coming out, first off.

[00:19:58] So just literally, if you have any hopes that Haunted Chocolatier will ever release, just cancel that.

[00:20:05] Aaron...

[00:20:05] Whatever.

[00:20:07] Oh, Eric Barone.

[00:20:08] Eric Barone.

[00:20:10] Um...

[00:20:11] Concerned Ape.

[00:20:12] Who we love.

[00:20:12] He will never stop working on Stardew Valley.

[00:20:14] He will never stop.

[00:20:16] Dude, it's hard not to, right?

[00:20:17] It's hard not to.

[00:20:18] I feel like...

[00:20:19] It sold 41 million copies.

[00:20:21] I was just going to say, Concerned Ape said last month, December 2024, that Stardew Valley had sold 41 million copies across all platforms.

[00:20:32] And Stardew Valley retails for 15 bucks, but, you know, sales, discounts, whatever.

[00:20:38] I don't know, man.

[00:20:39] The dude is still sitting at minimum a cool 350 million in his bank account.

[00:20:44] Like, because he doesn't have a publisher.

[00:20:47] Yeah.

[00:20:48] Yeah.

[00:20:49] This...

[00:20:49] Yeah.

[00:20:50] He's...

[00:20:51] I mean...

[00:20:52] Which, good for him, you know?

[00:20:53] That's wild.

[00:20:54] I mean, that's Mario Kart numbers for a solo developer.

[00:20:57] Yeah.

[00:20:58] So, my wife and I were joking, though, because he's from Seattle.

[00:21:01] And if you know Seattle, Washington at all, there are a few different districts.

[00:21:04] And the one that's really wealthy is Queen Anne.

[00:21:07] The Queen Anne district.

[00:21:08] And so, we were joking.

[00:21:10] We were like...

[00:21:10] Yeah.

[00:21:10] You know, Eric Barone probably goes to the neighborhood Christmas party in Queen Anne.

[00:21:17] And, you know, he's rubbing shoulders with all these, you know, super...

[00:21:21] I don't know.

[00:21:23] Slimy suits.

[00:21:24] And they're like, what do you do for a living?

[00:21:25] Like real estate moguls.

[00:21:27] Yeah.

[00:21:27] Like Seattle real estate moguls or whatever.

[00:21:29] And they're probably like, what do you do for a living?

[00:21:30] He's like, I made one video game.

[00:21:33] Yeah.

[00:21:33] I made one video game about...

[00:21:34] What's it about?

[00:21:35] Oh, it's about farming.

[00:21:36] Yeah.

[00:21:37] About the millennial childhood fever dream.

[00:21:41] Yeah.

[00:21:41] And then they're like, wait, aren't you the valet?

[00:21:43] Can you go...

[00:21:46] Yeah, exactly.

[00:21:49] They need to make a documentary about that, dude.

[00:21:51] That'd be fun to watch.

[00:21:52] That'd be fun.

[00:21:55] Jake, you got a point for this.

[00:21:56] I mean...

[00:21:57] Ooh.

[00:21:58] That's a pretty slam dunk prediction, but I'll give it to you.

[00:22:02] I'll give it to you.

[00:22:03] Okay.

[00:22:03] My next was Ubisoft has a banner year and releases at least three games with 80 or above on Metacritic.

[00:22:11] This did not happen.

[00:22:12] I feel like there was a really good shot for this to happen and it just didn't work out.

[00:22:17] We did get Prince of Persia, which was fantastic.

[00:22:20] One of the best games of 2024.

[00:22:26] Outlaws.

[00:22:27] Jake and I really liked...

[00:22:30] This game is highly underrated.

[00:22:32] Oh, yeah.

[00:22:34] Massively underrated game.

[00:22:35] I think it does not deserve the Metacritic that it got.

[00:22:38] It should be above an 80, but it just didn't happen for various reasons.

[00:22:43] And then Assassin's Creed Shadows is delayed till February.

[00:22:48] So there wasn't even a shot for them to get three games out that would have been able to do that.

[00:22:54] But yeah.

[00:22:55] I was unfortunate because I'm pulling for Ubisoft.

[00:22:58] I'm one of the few who's like, I'm positive.

[00:23:00] I want Ubisoft to win.

[00:23:01] Yeah.

[00:23:01] I really do want them to win.

[00:23:03] I know people...

[00:23:05] I know the games, internet hates Ubisoft, but I personally want them to figure it out.

[00:23:12] And I really liked Outlaws.

[00:23:14] So...

[00:23:14] Yeah.

[00:23:14] I feel like your prediction, I want to say around May, people were probably feeling...

[00:23:19] I imagine you were feeling good about it because Prince of Persia had released and was doing...

[00:23:23] Well, critically had done really well.

[00:23:25] And then we saw it Outlaws and Shadows on the horizon.

[00:23:29] So that could have happened.

[00:23:30] And I would like to point out that 2024 was the year that Skull & Bones released, which was not Ubisoft's best showing.

[00:23:40] That's true.

[00:23:41] But I agree with you, Cameron.

[00:23:42] Like, let's not hope that Ubisoft fails or gets bought by some other company.

[00:23:48] Let's hope that they get to keep doing what they're doing on their own terms.

[00:23:53] Yeah.

[00:23:54] Yeah.

[00:23:55] Yeah.

[00:23:55] So, you know...

[00:23:58] Let's do it.

[00:23:59] Let's see.

[00:23:59] Jake, your next one was Lighting a Fire into Early Access in the Summer, which unfortunately...

[00:24:04] Very unfortunately did not happen, which is kind of surprising.

[00:24:09] I am totally surprised, right?

[00:24:11] So that was announced...

[00:24:13] What was that?

[00:24:13] The 2023 Game Awards?

[00:24:15] That was one of the major announcements.

[00:24:17] Is that...

[00:24:17] Yeah.

[00:24:18] That was like the...

[00:24:19] What?

[00:24:20] The one more thing?

[00:24:20] I think that was the one more thing.

[00:24:23] I just feel like Hello Games is, you know, the goatee marquee example of, hey, this is a studio that's learned their lessons.

[00:24:31] And so that's why Cameron and I both were like, this game will enter Early Access before it hits 1.0.

[00:24:37] So they'll get all that good feedback.

[00:24:39] And I just thought for sure it happened.

[00:24:41] And it did not.

[00:24:43] So we'll see.

[00:24:45] Who knows when this comes?

[00:24:47] I mean...

[00:24:48] I'm shocked we're not seeing it.

[00:24:50] That was a pretty big, beefy trailer that kind of felt like they were kind of setting things up for this year.

[00:24:55] But it didn't happen.

[00:24:57] And then my next prediction.

[00:24:59] One of the worst predictions I've ever made, probably, on the show.

[00:25:02] Suicide Squad surprises.

[00:25:06] Suicide Squad scores low on Metacritic but gets a popular following.

[00:25:09] This definitely did not happen.

[00:25:11] This game is a utter and complete failure in every possible sense of the word.

[00:25:17] This game failed miserably.

[00:25:21] Miserably.

[00:25:22] That was some real pain, dude.

[00:25:29] I still haven't played this.

[00:25:31] Have you played this?

[00:25:32] No, I was tempted to buy it because it got...

[00:25:35] The deluxe edition was like $5 or something.

[00:25:38] It's like $5.

[00:25:38] And I was like, should I get this?

[00:25:40] It's what I did with Immortals of Avium.

[00:25:43] That deluxe edition was like $3 or $5.

[00:25:45] That's why I bought it.

[00:25:47] And, you know...

[00:25:48] Feel bad for...

[00:25:52] Rocksteady.

[00:25:53] For Rocksteady.

[00:25:54] They worked on this game for like eight years.

[00:25:58] Which...

[00:25:59] Which...

[00:25:59] Again, I'm going to repeat the thing that Jake and I have been saying about Suicide Squad

[00:26:03] since it was like announced.

[00:26:06] Nobody wanted this.

[00:26:09] Nobody wanted a Suicide Squad game.

[00:26:12] No.

[00:26:14] Even...

[00:26:14] Nobody wanted a Suicide Squad game.

[00:26:16] But nobody especially wanted a Suicide Squad looter shooter.

[00:26:22] So...

[00:26:22] It's just...

[00:26:23] Just a shame.

[00:26:24] Yeah, let's move on.

[00:26:25] Let's just not talk about that again.

[00:26:27] Jake, your next one was also another huge softball, my friend.

[00:26:31] Come on, man.

[00:26:32] Xbox hits three-fourths of their quarterly releases for 2023.

[00:26:35] You're not going to like one of my predictions for this year.

[00:26:39] Oh, my...

[00:26:40] That's like a guarantee.

[00:26:42] Come on.

[00:26:42] It's not a guarantee.

[00:26:44] Not...

[00:26:44] Sorry, Xbox.

[00:26:45] We love you.

[00:26:50] We're four-for-four, right?

[00:26:52] So, does that mean my prediction's wrong?

[00:26:56] Oh.

[00:26:57] What did they release?

[00:26:58] No, I'll give it to you because it...

[00:27:00] Well, a bunch of these were right up at the end, right?

[00:27:03] I feel like you might have said at least, so...

[00:27:05] Okay.

[00:27:06] Yeah, so Indiana Jones, Hellblade 2.

[00:27:12] Indiana Jones, Hellblade 2.

[00:27:15] Microsoft Flight Sim 2024.

[00:27:17] And then...

[00:27:18] Shoot.

[00:27:19] What was that one?

[00:27:20] I think you played a little bit of it and liked it.

[00:27:23] I want to say it came out like August or September.

[00:27:26] Freak.

[00:27:27] What is it called?

[00:27:27] Age of Mythology, maybe?

[00:27:30] Oh, yeah.

[00:27:31] Age of Mythology Remastered.

[00:27:32] And Stalker 2.

[00:27:34] And Stalker 2 came out.

[00:27:37] Was that their quarterly, though?

[00:27:39] Microsoft Studios Games.

[00:27:43] When it released in 2020.

[00:27:46] In 2024.

[00:27:48] Let's see.

[00:27:49] We got May.

[00:27:50] We definitely got...

[00:27:51] Blops.

[00:27:52] Yes.

[00:27:53] Six.

[00:27:54] Diablo Expansion.

[00:27:55] I wasn't counting those, man.

[00:27:57] I was specifically thinking of like...

[00:28:00] Hellblade.

[00:28:01] Our History Untold.

[00:28:03] Yeah.

[00:28:04] I think they hit their cadence.

[00:28:06] They did.

[00:28:06] They got it.

[00:28:07] Yeah.

[00:28:08] Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:28:09] They had a lot of games this year.

[00:28:10] They even delayed Avowed.

[00:28:12] They would have more.

[00:28:13] That's what I was expecting, really.

[00:28:15] I actually thought Avowed would make it.

[00:28:17] And that Indiana Jones wouldn't.

[00:28:19] But here we are.

[00:28:20] So, Jake, you got a point for that.

[00:28:22] So, you're up to two...

[00:28:23] Two big ones.

[00:28:24] Two big ones.

[00:28:26] My next prediction from 2024 was...

[00:28:29] Xbox launches a number of Activision benefits, including...

[00:28:32] Game Pass Activision benefits, including a discounted WoW subscription.

[00:28:37] This didn't happen.

[00:28:38] I don't know.

[00:28:40] I still...

[00:28:41] It's kind of interesting.

[00:28:42] I don't know why.

[00:28:44] Feels like that's like a missed opportunity.

[00:28:47] Or they're kind of...

[00:28:49] They haven't quite figured out how to do that yet.

[00:28:52] Because it feels like we didn't really get that much other than Call of Duty on Game Pass.

[00:28:56] They've been really slow to trickle over...

[00:28:59] Or, like, move over Activision Blizzard titles to Game Pass.

[00:29:03] They, like, recently put Spyro and Crash Team Racing on there.

[00:29:07] Yeah.

[00:29:08] It's a very slow trick.

[00:29:09] Which I think is obviously on purpose.

[00:29:11] Because they want to have Game Pass, like, release cadence.

[00:29:14] But can you even get, like, all of the Call of Duties on Game Pass?

[00:29:18] I don't think so.

[00:29:19] Wait.

[00:29:20] Wait a second.

[00:29:20] I don't know.

[00:29:21] Maybe not on Game Pass.

[00:29:22] But I think they're at least on Xbox now.

[00:29:24] Let's see.

[00:29:26] Nope.

[00:29:27] I don't think so.

[00:29:28] I think it's just Call of Duty.

[00:29:31] I think it's just the newest one.

[00:29:32] And then Modern Warfare 3.

[00:29:35] But I'm thinking of, like, the classic ones, right?

[00:29:37] Right.

[00:29:38] Yeah.

[00:29:38] Those are still disappeared, I think.

[00:29:40] And I think those are still not on there.

[00:29:43] Anyway.

[00:29:43] Yeah.

[00:29:44] I still think this is kind of interesting.

[00:29:46] I would think a small discount on, like, a WoW subscription as part of PC Game Pass,

[00:29:51] it seems like a no-brainer to, like, boost the player base and, like, kind of double dip in revenue, too.

[00:29:57] I don't know.

[00:29:58] That's weird.

[00:29:58] Is WoW coming to console?

[00:29:59] Are they going to do that?

[00:30:03] I think that's a dream that a lot of folks have, especially at Microsoft and at Blizzard.

[00:30:08] But from what I understand, I think the amount of work to lift and shift that game to consoles, apparently, is, like, some kind of nightmare, from what I understand.

[00:30:20] So, it's just, like...

[00:30:21] I mean, WoW is an old game.

[00:30:23] I imagine that.

[00:30:24] Yeah.

[00:30:25] There's a lot of old code in there.

[00:30:29] Okay.

[00:30:30] Jake, your next prediction was PlayStation Surprise...

[00:30:34] Surprises.

[00:30:36] With an unannounced game that gets at least an 83 Metacritic on launch.

[00:30:41] And that, of course, was...

[00:30:42] Concord.

[00:30:48] Concord.

[00:30:49] Was that mean?

[00:30:49] I don't know.

[00:30:51] That was not Concord.

[00:30:52] That was Astro Bot.

[00:30:53] Because we didn't know Astro Bot was coming.

[00:30:55] Wait.

[00:30:55] Whoa.

[00:30:55] Whoa.

[00:30:55] Whoa.

[00:30:56] Whoa.

[00:30:56] Did I actually get this?

[00:30:58] You got that.

[00:30:59] Yeah.

[00:31:00] That was Astro Bot.

[00:31:01] Was it Astro Bot?

[00:31:02] Not...

[00:31:02] Oh, my gosh.

[00:31:02] It wasn't announced before 2024.

[00:31:05] Wait.

[00:31:05] Am I wrong about that?

[00:31:06] I thought we didn't...

[00:31:07] When was Astro Bot announced?

[00:31:12] No.

[00:31:13] It was totally announced in the summer.

[00:31:14] I swear.

[00:31:16] I swear.

[00:31:16] I swear to you.

[00:31:17] Astro Bot was announced on May 30th, 2024 for PS5 to release on September 6th.

[00:31:23] Holy crap.

[00:31:23] Yeah.

[00:31:24] I even looked over my predictions and I didn't even think of Astro Bot for that one.

[00:31:27] Yeah.

[00:31:27] You got that one.

[00:31:28] So, you've got three points.

[00:31:29] That's a record.

[00:31:30] That might be a record.

[00:31:32] That is a record.

[00:31:34] Dude.

[00:31:34] Living.

[00:31:36] Living.

[00:31:36] And Astro Bot, of course, one game of the year.

[00:31:40] It hit at least in 83.

[00:31:43] It hit like a 92.

[00:31:45] All right.

[00:31:45] What was your next one?

[00:31:47] Okay.

[00:31:47] My next one was Nintendo 64 GameCube era Zelda gets a remake.

[00:31:54] This is not how it happens.

[00:31:55] Shockingly.

[00:31:56] I feel like this would have been a slam dunk for this year for the Switch.

[00:31:59] Yeah.

[00:31:59] Like Wind Waker remaster or something.

[00:32:01] Yeah.

[00:32:02] Super weird.

[00:32:02] I guess they're holding on to those to sell them to you again for on the Switch 2.

[00:32:08] I think the only major 3D Zelda games that you cannot get on Switch are Wind Waker and

[00:32:16] Twilight Princess.

[00:32:17] Is that right?

[00:32:18] That sounds right.

[00:32:20] I think Wind Waker is like the big one that people want to just be able to play on every system and you can't.

[00:32:29] You can play Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

[00:32:33] You can play...

[00:32:34] You can't...

[00:32:35] You can play...

[00:32:35] They obviously did the Skyward Sword.

[00:32:39] Skyward Sword is there.

[00:32:40] Obviously Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

[00:32:43] Twilight Princess is not there.

[00:32:45] That's one you said you can't.

[00:32:45] I don't think it's there.

[00:32:47] Twilight.

[00:32:47] Yeah.

[00:32:47] So those are the two, right?

[00:32:48] So Wind Waker and Twilight Princess.

[00:32:50] And then you have to think that they got to be working on some kind of Nintendo 64 era remake,

[00:32:57] remaster like an Ocarina of Time to put it out with 4K graphics or something.

[00:33:02] I just don't know.

[00:33:03] I know that...

[00:33:04] So Ocarina of Time got a remake for the 3DS.

[00:33:07] Is that right?

[00:33:08] Or remaster maybe?

[00:33:10] Yeah.

[00:33:10] I guess it already got one.

[00:33:11] So maybe not.

[00:33:12] I don't know.

[00:33:13] I could just see Nintendo being like, you know what?

[00:33:15] You always put Ocarina of Time as the number one on greatest of all times list.

[00:33:20] Why change it?

[00:33:21] I don't know.

[00:33:23] Yeah, that's a fair point.

[00:33:24] They're like, eh.

[00:33:24] You like it.

[00:33:25] You can play it.

[00:33:25] And Nintendo's weird like that, right?

[00:33:27] That's kind of how they think.

[00:33:29] Yeah.

[00:33:29] Less about the money, more about that.

[00:33:32] If anything, we're going to end up getting a Breath of the Wild refresh on the Switch 2

[00:33:39] that'll be like 4K60, right?

[00:33:40] That's going to be what it is.

[00:33:42] I honestly think that we're much more likely to get a Breath of the Wild remaster than we are.

[00:33:49] I don't know.

[00:33:51] But who knows?

[00:33:52] I mean, they did that Link's Awakening remake, which was really great.

[00:33:56] But that was a team...

[00:33:57] Here's what would be dope.

[00:33:58] That was a team that did Echoes of Wisdom.

[00:34:01] Here's an idea for Nintendo.

[00:34:03] Listen to this idea.

[00:34:04] Okay.

[00:34:05] Doug Bowser's listening.

[00:34:06] $70.

[00:34:07] $70 retail.

[00:34:11] Zelda.

[00:34:14] Zelda.

[00:34:15] Uh...

[00:34:16] Zelda.

[00:34:17] And you give it some cool title like Breath of the Wild Compendium Chronicles or something

[00:34:25] like that.

[00:34:25] It's a 4K 60 frames.

[00:34:29] Breath of the Wild with Tears of the Kingdom in one game.

[00:34:33] So you finish Breath of the Wild and then immediately starts Tears of the Kingdom back to back.

[00:34:39] And it's 4K 60 frames.

[00:34:40] And you sell it as a full price game.

[00:34:42] And you play it on four different cartridges.

[00:34:45] And you play it on...

[00:34:50] The cartridge technology is a little better, you know?

[00:34:53] Insert cartridge too now.

[00:34:54] They can fit that.

[00:34:55] They'll do like digital download.

[00:34:56] Everything's digital downloads anyways.

[00:34:58] I mean, listen.

[00:34:59] Okay.

[00:34:59] What I understand is actually cartridge technology is pretty great because...

[00:35:05] Yeah.

[00:35:05] It's like an SSD.

[00:35:06] SSD.

[00:35:08] Dude, Metaphor Re-Fantasio.

[00:35:10] I got a physical copy of it.

[00:35:12] It has two discs.

[00:35:13] I was like, oh, dang.

[00:35:14] Oh, my gosh.

[00:35:15] It's been a while since I've seen something like this.

[00:35:17] Jeez.

[00:35:18] What is this?

[00:35:18] 1997?

[00:35:21] Yeah.

[00:35:22] That didn't happen.

[00:35:25] Jake, you're at Expedition.

[00:35:27] I know you really wanted this to happen, but we got nothing.

[00:35:30] Studio MDHR announces a new game and it's not Cuphead related.

[00:35:33] We didn't get anything from Studio MDHR.

[00:35:35] Dude, what are they doing?

[00:35:38] I love...

[00:35:38] Dude, I feel like...

[00:35:39] I love you.

[00:35:40] Studio MDHR, I want you to know I love you.

[00:35:42] I want you to tell me what's happening.

[00:35:45] Please just call me.

[00:35:46] It's been too long.

[00:35:48] I want to remind our listeners that in that episode, we discussed a Steamboat Willie DLC

[00:35:53] pack that they never made good on.

[00:35:56] So, they lost millions of dollars.

[00:35:58] It's in the public domain.

[00:35:59] It's in the public domain.

[00:36:01] Yeah.

[00:36:01] To do Steamboat...

[00:36:02] I don't know.

[00:36:03] Studio MDHR, my heart is in your hands like a tiny bird.

[00:36:07] And you are crushing it slowly.

[00:36:10] You're crushing it.

[00:36:11] Yeah.

[00:36:12] Okay.

[00:36:13] My next one.

[00:36:15] More than 10 remaster slash remakes are released or announced this year.

[00:36:23] Did you get that?

[00:36:25] I went online and I tried to count this.

[00:36:30] And I don't think I got it.

[00:36:32] Man, it feels like you did.

[00:36:34] But I think I might have.

[00:36:36] So, I'm going to give myself a point because I have no points.

[00:36:40] I think...

[00:36:40] I think I did.

[00:36:42] I actually think I did.

[00:36:42] I went online and I was...

[00:36:44] I couldn't find like a full list.

[00:36:46] I guess I did say release or announce.

[00:36:49] So, I should have got this.

[00:36:50] Well, I mean, Last of Us Part 2 was remastered and re-released like three times, right?

[00:36:55] Yeah.

[00:36:55] So, that counts as like three individual ones.

[00:36:58] Listen, I got a list here of seven.

[00:37:01] So, let's see if we can fill in the gaps for three.

[00:37:04] Riven.

[00:37:05] Remastered.

[00:37:06] Released or announced.

[00:37:07] Oh, yeah.

[00:37:08] Okay.

[00:37:08] Let's see.

[00:37:09] Riven.

[00:37:10] Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.

[00:37:12] Dragon Quest 3 HD 2D.

[00:37:15] Plus the sequels, right?

[00:37:17] Dragon Quest 1 and 2 Remake.

[00:37:18] Those were announced.

[00:37:19] Silent Hill 2.

[00:37:21] Soul Reaver 1 and 2 Remastered just came out December.

[00:37:24] Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door.

[00:37:28] Why is the list in there?

[00:37:29] Yeah, I got it, right?

[00:37:30] Definitely.

[00:37:31] I think you definitely got that.

[00:37:33] All right.

[00:37:33] Give me one point.

[00:37:34] He's got a point, ladies and gentlemen.

[00:37:36] I think that's all I got.

[00:37:38] Jake, your next one.

[00:37:39] Deep Rock Galactic Survivors.

[00:37:42] Leaves Early Access by the end of the year.

[00:37:43] This did not leave Early Access.

[00:37:44] I double checked.

[00:37:45] I'm surprised, man.

[00:37:47] I don't know.

[00:37:47] That game entered Early Access in February.

[00:37:52] It seemed to have a lot of buildup and hype around it because people were coming off the Vampire Survivors high.

[00:37:57] And I was like, oh, is this the next one of these games that just goes super big?

[00:38:03] I don't think it did.

[00:38:04] It didn't do that.

[00:38:05] It wasn't the biggest thing ever.

[00:38:07] But I do think it's a really good game.

[00:38:08] It has great reviews on Steam.

[00:38:09] Right.

[00:38:10] And it's like, I want to say it's like 10 bucks.

[00:38:12] I want to say that people did like it.

[00:38:14] But I wonder.

[00:38:15] I don't know.

[00:38:16] We'll see.

[00:38:16] There's another Vampire Survivors like that just launched in Early Access.

[00:38:21] What was it?

[00:38:21] The 10.

[00:38:22] Excuse me.

[00:38:23] The Temtem one.

[00:38:26] Yeah.

[00:38:29] Oh, the price.

[00:38:30] My next one.

[00:38:31] Xbox announces dedicated game streaming stick.

[00:38:34] Optimize for Game Pass.

[00:38:35] I made this prediction a few years in a row.

[00:38:36] I think it's finally time to end this one.

[00:38:38] Everything is going handheld.

[00:38:39] So.

[00:38:40] Yep.

[00:38:40] Right.

[00:38:41] And they didn't announce their handheld.

[00:38:43] But they basically said in a press conference that they're working on one.

[00:38:46] So.

[00:38:46] It's only a matter of time.

[00:38:47] Handheld is the way.

[00:38:49] Steam Deck.

[00:38:50] Dude.

[00:38:50] I think Steam Deck probably derailed a little bit.

[00:38:54] Those plans.

[00:38:55] Yes.

[00:38:56] Yeah.

[00:38:56] For sure.

[00:38:57] Jake.

[00:38:58] Your next one.

[00:38:59] Two Pokemon games get announced.

[00:39:00] Gen 10 mainline game and a Johto based.

[00:39:04] Here's what I have written here.

[00:39:05] Two Pokemon games get announced.

[00:39:07] Pokemon Legends Ho-Oh.

[00:39:09] A Johto region game.

[00:39:11] That's right.

[00:39:11] In the Gen 10 mainline game to take place in Kanto again.

[00:39:15] Return to Kanto.

[00:39:16] Yeah.

[00:39:16] Yeah.

[00:39:17] I mean.

[00:39:18] There's definitely.

[00:39:19] There's still great ideas.

[00:39:21] Pokemon company.

[00:39:22] Yes.

[00:39:22] If you're.

[00:39:23] Great ideas.

[00:39:24] If you're interested.

[00:39:25] If you're listening.

[00:39:26] I mean.

[00:39:26] You know.

[00:39:27] I think me and a dozen or so others would be inclined to buy.

[00:39:34] Absolutely.

[00:39:38] My next one.

[00:39:39] At least four more gaming IPs get announced.

[00:39:42] Series or movies announced.

[00:39:46] Oh.

[00:39:47] So I think from what I looked.

[00:39:50] I could find three.

[00:39:56] Three.

[00:39:58] Because I couldn't figure out if they got announced in 2024.

[00:40:02] So let me just do another quick Google search.

[00:40:04] I know we've got Minecraft movie.

[00:40:06] Oh my goodness dude.

[00:40:08] We can.

[00:40:08] Which looks terrible.

[00:40:09] We can talk about that in a sec if we need to.

[00:40:13] Remember.

[00:40:14] It's an announcement.

[00:40:15] Okay.

[00:40:16] So I think Mass Effect was announced this year.

[00:40:19] Wait.

[00:40:19] They're doing a Mass Effect?

[00:40:22] Yes.

[00:40:26] I think.

[00:40:26] And then.

[00:40:28] Splinter Cell.

[00:40:31] Was announced.

[00:40:37] And then.

[00:40:39] Dredge.

[00:40:40] Was announced.

[00:40:41] Dredge was announced.

[00:40:43] Was in.

[00:40:43] Um.

[00:40:44] And I think there's a couple other ones.

[00:40:46] So I think I do get this one.

[00:40:46] You do get that one.

[00:40:47] El Paso Elsewhere.

[00:40:49] Yes.

[00:40:50] That was the other one.

[00:40:51] Um.

[00:40:53] That's going to be cool.

[00:40:54] I'm actually really excited for that.

[00:40:56] I would love to know who's doing all the work on that.

[00:40:59] For that.

[00:41:00] But that will be a great adaptation.

[00:41:02] Um.

[00:41:02] I double checked.

[00:41:04] Um.

[00:41:05] Because I thought Metaphor ReFantasio had actually.

[00:41:08] Gotten one.

[00:41:08] It's not announced.

[00:41:10] There's a rumor that they were in talks to do an anime.

[00:41:13] Based on the video game.

[00:41:15] Oh.

[00:41:15] I mean.

[00:41:16] That makes sense.

[00:41:17] Yeah.

[00:41:18] Uh.

[00:41:19] Okay.

[00:41:19] So I got that one.

[00:41:21] So I've got.

[00:41:21] That's two man.

[00:41:23] I actually got two points.

[00:41:25] Okay.

[00:41:25] So you've got three.

[00:41:26] I've got two.

[00:41:27] Let's do these last two.

[00:41:29] See who wins.

[00:41:30] Jake.

[00:41:30] Game Awards.

[00:41:31] Modifies at least two of their categories.

[00:41:33] Did they modify any categories?

[00:41:39] Dang.

[00:41:40] Okay.

[00:41:40] That didn't happen.

[00:41:41] And then finally.

[00:41:42] My last one.

[00:41:43] We finally see what Bluepoint is working on.

[00:41:44] We didn't.

[00:41:44] We didn't see what Bluepoint's working on.

[00:41:49] So that's our predictions.

[00:41:50] Uh.

[00:41:50] From last year.

[00:41:51] Kind of crazy looking back at those predictions.

[00:41:53] Because I feel like.

[00:41:54] Several of those.

[00:41:55] When we made them.

[00:41:56] Kind of seemed like slam dunks.

[00:41:57] And now looking back.

[00:41:58] It's like.

[00:41:59] Man.

[00:41:59] We were way off.

[00:41:59] Holy cow.

[00:42:01] They did not pan out.

[00:42:02] They did definitely not pan out.

[00:42:04] So.

[00:42:05] Super weird year.

[00:42:06] Jake.

[00:42:06] You ended up with three.

[00:42:07] Which I think is a.

[00:42:08] Pre-order bonus podcast.

[00:42:10] Game predictions.

[00:42:11] Game show.

[00:42:12] Dude.

[00:42:12] It's a record.

[00:42:13] And you know what's funny.

[00:42:14] Is that.

[00:42:15] The combined five points.

[00:42:18] Is also a record.

[00:42:19] That's got to be the most.

[00:42:20] I think last year.

[00:42:21] We both had.

[00:42:22] Like.

[00:42:22] I had like one.

[00:42:23] And you had like a half.

[00:42:24] Well yeah.

[00:42:24] We.

[00:42:25] So.

[00:42:25] We were so desperate.

[00:42:27] To give ourselves points.

[00:42:28] That we were giving ourselves.

[00:42:29] Fractions of points.

[00:42:30] Here we could give ourselves.

[00:42:31] Whole points.

[00:42:32] I mean.

[00:42:33] That's an improvement.

[00:42:34] So Jake.

[00:42:36] You have won.

[00:42:37] The 2024.

[00:42:38] Game predictions.

[00:42:40] Competition.

[00:42:41] So what video game.

[00:42:42] Do I have to play.

[00:42:43] In 2025.

[00:42:44] 2025.

[00:42:45] Oh man.

[00:42:46] I am not prepared for this.

[00:42:48] I do not have a speech ready.

[00:42:51] You can just tell me what it is.

[00:42:52] It doesn't have to be a speech.

[00:42:53] No I know.

[00:42:54] Or have you not prepared the game.

[00:42:55] You don't know what it is yet.

[00:42:56] I did not prepare a game either.

[00:42:59] Okay.

[00:42:59] You know what.

[00:43:00] You know what.

[00:43:00] That's okay.

[00:43:01] Actually.

[00:43:02] This is a three dollar game on Steam.

[00:43:05] This was a game that I heard about.

[00:43:07] From.

[00:43:08] Emily.

[00:43:09] From the.

[00:43:10] No small games podcast.

[00:43:11] And I think this would be an absolute blast.

[00:43:13] For us to do an episode.

[00:43:14] On.

[00:43:15] I haven't played it yet.

[00:43:16] But I did buy it.

[00:43:17] It's called.

[00:43:18] The cabin factory.

[00:43:22] So look this up now.

[00:43:23] While camera's looking it up.

[00:43:24] I'm just going to tell you.

[00:43:25] What I've seen about this.

[00:43:26] Basically.

[00:43:27] You work.

[00:43:28] In this cabin factory.

[00:43:29] And these different log cabins.

[00:43:31] Come out on these conveyor belts.

[00:43:33] Oh my gosh.

[00:43:34] You're going to make me play this.

[00:43:34] This would be a great episode.

[00:43:36] Don't even deny it.

[00:43:40] And your job is to inspect.

[00:43:42] All these cabins.

[00:43:42] To make sure that they're not haunted.

[00:43:46] Oh my gosh.

[00:43:51] All right.

[00:43:52] Added to cart.

[00:43:53] This is content dude.

[00:43:56] Content.

[00:43:57] Cabin factory.

[00:43:58] Okay.

[00:43:59] Jake wins.

[00:44:00] I've got to play cabin factory.

[00:44:03] Okay.

[00:44:04] Awesome.

[00:44:04] Well.

[00:44:06] Congratulations Jake.

[00:44:07] It's a great win.

[00:44:08] We will do lunch later.

[00:44:09] At a place to be selected by you.

[00:44:12] Oh nice.

[00:44:14] I'm kind of hungry right now.

[00:44:16] I could go for like a sandwich.

[00:44:17] Okay.

[00:44:17] This is the problem.

[00:44:18] Real quick.

[00:44:18] This is the problem.

[00:44:20] With Jim Gaffigan vacation eating.

[00:44:22] Dude.

[00:44:22] I like just had dinner.

[00:44:23] Not that long ago.

[00:44:24] And now I'm like.

[00:44:25] Yeah.

[00:44:25] Right.

[00:44:26] Your body and your brain are like.

[00:44:29] Hey.

[00:44:29] How come you're not eating a thousand calories and sweets right now?

[00:44:32] Yeah.

[00:44:32] It's like dude.

[00:44:32] Like what's.

[00:44:34] We still got like half a carton of the Costco vanilla ice cream in the freezer upstairs.

[00:44:39] Oh.

[00:44:40] My body's like dude.

[00:44:42] What are you doing right now?

[00:44:43] You are.

[00:44:44] You are simply wasting your time at the computer when you could be powering through the rest

[00:44:49] of that ice cream right now.

[00:44:51] You need.

[00:44:52] Your body literally needs at least a pound of Muddy Buddies and like Lindor chocolates.

[00:44:58] Okay.

[00:45:00] 2025.

[00:45:01] It is January 2nd.

[00:45:03] New year.

[00:45:04] New predictions.

[00:45:05] I've got some big ones.

[00:45:06] Jake.

[00:45:06] You've got some big ones.

[00:45:08] Let's get into it.

[00:45:09] What is going to happen in 2025?

[00:45:11] Jake.

[00:45:12] Kick us off your number.

[00:45:13] Your first prediction for the year of our Lord.

[00:45:17] 2025.

[00:45:18] Halfway to 2030.

[00:45:20] Kojima's OD project gets a release date for this year.

[00:45:27] That's right.

[00:45:28] Kojima Productions is going to release Death Stranding 2 and OD project overdose.

[00:45:35] Whoa.

[00:45:37] In one year.

[00:45:39] 2025.

[00:45:39] Both of them this year.

[00:45:41] Really?

[00:45:42] I think.

[00:45:42] Here's what I think.

[00:45:43] Okay.

[00:45:44] Okay.

[00:45:44] All right.

[00:45:45] What's your rationale here?

[00:45:46] And I want to remind everybody that this is somebody who's gotten three out of 10 points

[00:45:50] on predictions before.

[00:45:52] That is.

[00:45:53] I mean, that's something though.

[00:45:55] Yeah.

[00:45:55] Do not scoff.

[00:45:57] Do not scoff.

[00:45:58] I think Death Stranding 2 is like pretty much done.

[00:46:03] I think it's figured out.

[00:46:05] No, well beyond figured out.

[00:46:07] I think it's pretty much done.

[00:46:08] The last.

[00:46:09] It's in the polish stage.

[00:46:10] It's polishing.

[00:46:11] That's what they're doing right now.

[00:46:12] And I think that that game is coming within the first half of the year.

[00:46:17] So I'm thinking it's coming before June or July.

[00:46:21] I think there are several windows right now that Death Stranding 2 can easily insert themselves

[00:46:26] into.

[00:46:28] But yeah, the last like trailer we saw from that game showed us just, I don't know, four

[00:46:34] minutes of absolutely the most bonkers crap you can think of imaginable.

[00:46:38] Like Troy Baker, Red Suit Guitar Man, for example.

[00:46:41] We all remember that.

[00:46:42] The Alan Wake or not, not an Alan Wake puppet hanging off of your belt.

[00:46:48] Like this game is just outrageous.

[00:46:50] But like, I think that that game is polishing and that's it.

[00:46:54] And I honestly think that OD is actually going to be because when they talk about it, when

[00:46:59] Kojima's talked about it, it's with Xbox Studios production and it's taking advantage

[00:47:05] of Xboxes.

[00:47:06] If I'm, I'm probably misremembering this.

[00:47:08] Please do not quote me on this.

[00:47:09] But taking advantage of like the multiplayer system, I feel like it's some sort of weird,

[00:47:16] maybe asymmetrical multiplayer game.

[00:47:19] So I don't think it's actually going to be as big of a game as you would expect.

[00:47:22] Like Death Stranding 2 to be.

[00:47:26] Yeah.

[00:47:26] Yeah.

[00:47:27] Like a smaller.

[00:47:27] Yeah.

[00:47:28] I'm thinking it's a game that probably has like a six hour single player experience plus,

[00:47:32] I don't know, 30 hours worth of weird multiplayer content that only Kojima can make up.

[00:47:37] So that's, that's where we're at folks.

[00:47:39] Dang.

[00:47:40] Dude, that would be insane, bro.

[00:47:43] Yep.

[00:47:43] I do think we definitely get Death Stranding 2 next year.

[00:47:46] Oh yeah.

[00:47:47] I think it's it.

[00:47:48] Which is very, very exciting.

[00:47:49] In fact, I kind of, I kind of want to do a, I kind of want to do a replay of that game

[00:47:55] in preparation because that game was just, there's so much going on.

[00:47:59] I feel like I need to like replay it to recapture everything.

[00:48:03] It's like, it's heady.

[00:48:05] That's all Kojima games are.

[00:48:07] Yeah.

[00:48:08] Upon reflection, because I've actually thought and talked about Death Stranding quite a lot.

[00:48:11] I still loved the game, the gameplay more than anything.

[00:48:14] Um, yes.

[00:48:16] Dude.

[00:48:16] And having played recently Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, like all that stuff is golden,

[00:48:21] but dude, you got to cut the fat.

[00:48:24] The, the exposition dialogue scenes are like, you could cut, you could reduce those 50%,

[00:48:30] I think, and still have the same impact until give the same amount of information.

[00:48:35] Death Stranding.

[00:48:36] I think it's, it is a bit egregious, especially towards the end.

[00:48:40] I have a memory of playing, starting to play.

[00:48:44] I was like, oh, I'm going to finish Death Stranding.

[00:48:47] And it was like 10 o'clock.

[00:48:48] I was like, I'll probably finish this as an hour and a half.

[00:48:50] I'll be in bed before midnight.

[00:48:51] And I was like up till 2am watching movies, AKA the cut scenes at the end of Death Stranding.

[00:48:57] Oh my gosh.

[00:48:58] Anyway, that's enough on that.

[00:48:59] We don't, we don't need to talk more.

[00:49:03] That's a great prediction.

[00:49:04] Okay.

[00:49:05] I will give you, I'm going to try and order these in order of like craziness.

[00:49:11] So I'm going to do like a light one for my first one, which is the Minecraft movie will

[00:49:16] be terrible.

[00:49:17] Okay.

[00:49:18] Who is accusing me of softballs?

[00:49:20] Who, who is that guy?

[00:49:22] Okay.

[00:49:23] Wait, wait, wait.

[00:49:24] Just wait.

[00:49:24] Hear me out.

[00:49:25] Okay.

[00:49:25] I feel like there's a chance.

[00:49:29] Okay.

[00:49:31] I feel like I could be totally wrong on this because listen, Jack Black, he's pretty good

[00:49:35] at saving crappy movies.

[00:49:37] Okay.

[00:49:38] Yeah.

[00:49:38] Because he's funny and he's endearing, right?

[00:49:40] He's like just, he's just that guy.

[00:49:42] Right.

[00:49:42] If anyone can save it, he can.

[00:49:45] Also, the director of this film is the direct is the same as the guy who directed Napoleon

[00:49:49] Dynamite.

[00:49:51] So not saying like Napoleon, that means it's going to be some like cinema masterpiece, but

[00:49:56] he's got like a pretty decent sense of humor.

[00:50:00] So I actually feel like as bad as it looks like this is going to be, I actually feel

[00:50:05] like this could be pretty good.

[00:50:07] And when I say terrible, I think I can't win it if it makes like a billion dollars.

[00:50:15] So I'm going to count like financial successes that not being terrible because if it's terrible,

[00:50:20] nobody watches it.

[00:50:20] Anyway.

[00:50:21] So wait, wait, wait.

[00:50:22] Director of Napoleon Dynamite.

[00:50:24] Did he also direct Nacho Libre?

[00:50:27] Yes.

[00:50:27] So he's worked with Jack Black before.

[00:50:29] Yes.

[00:50:30] He works with Jack.

[00:50:30] He knows what he has with Jack Black.

[00:50:32] Those are.

[00:50:32] And Nacho Libre is hilarious.

[00:50:35] One of Jack Black's best movies.

[00:50:36] So you know who's going to drag down the Minecraft movie is out of.

[00:50:41] Let's see.

[00:50:41] I took my kids to watch Sonic 3 and they show the Minecraft trailer.

[00:50:44] My kids unfazed, dude.

[00:50:46] They don't really care.

[00:50:48] They have no reaction.

[00:50:49] Yeah, dude.

[00:50:50] No reaction.

[00:50:51] Meanwhile, other kids in the crowd are just like yelling all sorts of things.

[00:50:55] So my freaking nephew introduced and like showed my nephew or excuse me, show my son like the

[00:51:04] sort of the Minecraft, the magic of it that like gets people grabbed in.

[00:51:09] And now he likes really likes Minecraft.

[00:51:12] We don't play it at home like at all, but he plays with his his uncle.

[00:51:16] And so he really wants to see it.

[00:51:18] And I'm like, dude, you can go with your uncle.

[00:51:19] I'm out.

[00:51:20] Ducking out.

[00:51:21] You know what's funny is that I was talking to my wife about this.

[00:51:23] I was like, I'm not going to take him to see Minecraft.

[00:51:25] She's like, really?

[00:51:26] I might take him.

[00:51:27] I was like, really?

[00:51:28] Oh, interesting.

[00:51:30] Okay.

[00:51:30] So twist over at the at the household over here.

[00:51:33] Twist at your household.

[00:51:34] Dang.

[00:51:35] Betrayal.

[00:51:36] Betrayal.

[00:51:38] I feel like we what are the two biggest games that we want nothing to do with?

[00:51:44] It's it's GTA and Minecraft.

[00:51:46] You and I like just don't touch it.

[00:51:48] It's like the two biggest games ever made.

[00:51:50] It's like 80% of what gamers are playing.

[00:51:52] Yes.

[00:51:54] Most like the vast, vast, vast majority of people who who ever touch a video game, they're playing

[00:51:58] GTA or Minecraft and we're just like, we're not there.

[00:52:02] All right, Jay, give me your second prediction for 2025.

[00:52:05] Crap.

[00:52:05] Okay.

[00:52:06] So you have to forgive me because I forgot you made this blue point prediction last year.

[00:52:09] However, this one is modified.

[00:52:11] That's all right.

[00:52:12] PlayStation slash blue point finally announced their first part of game, which is a third

[00:52:15] person action RPG.

[00:52:18] I like it.

[00:52:19] I try to get a little specific with the genre there.

[00:52:22] I like it.

[00:52:22] Okay.

[00:52:23] You're specific.

[00:52:23] That's great.

[00:52:24] That's a solid.

[00:52:25] See, I don't care if you make that one because it's specific, right?

[00:52:28] Because it's got to be third person action RPG blue point.

[00:52:32] Okay.

[00:52:32] It has to be.

[00:52:33] Dark Souls remake guaranteed.

[00:52:36] No.

[00:52:38] You know, the room or rumors.

[00:52:39] Sorry.

[00:52:40] Excuse me.

[00:52:40] Dark, not Dark Souls.

[00:52:42] Bloodborne.

[00:52:43] Oh, I was gonna say there is a rumor that they're going to remaster Dark Souls three,

[00:52:50] which I think would be interesting, but we'll see.

[00:52:53] But we'll see Elden Ring Night Rain is what's coming.

[00:52:56] So whatever.

[00:52:58] Yep.

[00:53:00] Okay.

[00:53:00] My next prediction.

[00:53:01] This is a little bit of a softball, but I'm giving it some caveats to make it more complex.

[00:53:06] So I have to kind of meet all of these or else I won't get it.

[00:53:10] Okay.

[00:53:11] GTA 6 makes its fall 2025 release window, but without GTA 6 online, which is announced to

[00:53:22] launch in winter of 2026, it becomes the largest single video game launch of all time.

[00:53:30] Yeah.

[00:53:31] I don't know.

[00:53:32] I think that'll happen.

[00:53:34] We'll see.

[00:53:36] I think becoming the largest video game launch of all time is pretty much a guarantee.

[00:53:40] Whether it makes its window or not.

[00:53:42] Yeah.

[00:53:42] Less.

[00:53:43] That's kind of up in the air.

[00:53:44] That's less sure.

[00:53:45] Yes.

[00:53:46] And then I'm just adding in like the spin of, I think if it makes its window, online doesn't

[00:53:52] launch with it.

[00:53:53] Right.

[00:53:53] Right.

[00:53:54] That's my prediction.

[00:53:55] So GTA 6, big stuff.

[00:53:59] Jake, what's your next one?

[00:54:00] Um, I like this one a lot because I think it's funny.

[00:54:03] Maybe folks listening won't think this is funny, but here we go.

[00:54:08] We do not hear a single peep on Naughty Dog's Intergalactic the entire year.

[00:54:14] Oh yeah.

[00:54:15] That's a softball.

[00:54:19] Is it?

[00:54:20] Some people were saying that this is like closer than we think.

[00:54:24] And I'm like, no, bro.

[00:54:25] I mean, maybe.

[00:54:28] Maybe.

[00:54:28] No.

[00:54:29] This game is coming out in like 2028.

[00:54:32] So thinking about this.

[00:54:33] It's a PS6 launch title.

[00:54:35] Yeah.

[00:54:36] I would not be surprised if that was the case.

[00:54:38] But putting on my statistician's hat real quick, which I'm doing the motion right now.

[00:54:43] Um, how many like one big thing announcements from the game awards have launched the subsequent

[00:54:51] year?

[00:54:52] It's got to be zero.

[00:54:56] Zero because they Jeff really likes to get like the big hype factor.

[00:55:04] Announce that usually means it's like really early.

[00:55:08] Like it's too early.

[00:55:09] Yeah.

[00:55:10] In my opinion.

[00:55:11] I don't, I don't like it when stuff is announced early.

[00:55:13] I don't, I don't think it's a good marketing strategy and I just don't like it personally.

[00:55:18] But yeah.

[00:55:19] So yeah.

[00:55:21] Radio silence from Naughty Dog.

[00:55:23] Are we going to hear about the last of us part or season two TV show a lot?

[00:55:27] Oh yeah.

[00:55:28] But this game, not a peep.

[00:55:31] How long was it till the last of us two released after they did their trailer at like the PlayStation

[00:55:39] showcase?

[00:55:41] Oh, that's a good question.

[00:55:44] I don't know, man.

[00:55:46] I get those, those games.

[00:55:48] Like the first trailer.

[00:55:50] Let's see.

[00:55:50] Complete timeline of last of us two development was, let's see.

[00:55:54] Very long.

[00:55:57] Uh, sorry.

[00:56:00] Last of us two was officially announced in December, 2016.

[00:56:06] Really?

[00:56:07] Whoa.

[00:56:08] Whoa.

[00:56:11] Second trailer was shown at Paris Games Week in 2017.

[00:56:15] That was a fully voiced gameplay trailer.

[00:56:19] Delayed, delayed again.

[00:56:22] Finally comes out May 29th, 2020.

[00:56:29] Hmm.

[00:56:30] So from the time it was announced, four years.

[00:56:34] Are we looking at four more years?

[00:56:39] My gosh, dude.

[00:56:40] That's like, what does that mean?

[00:56:42] That means.

[00:56:42] That's a presidential term, right?

[00:56:44] Right.

[00:56:44] 2025.

[00:56:46] So, okay.

[00:56:48] So 2020.

[00:56:49] And then they worked.

[00:56:50] Let's assume that they, they split their team.

[00:56:53] Cause we know that, right?

[00:56:55] They split their team a little bit so that they could work on last of us factions.

[00:56:59] And then they had some newer team members working on like multiple remasters from 2020 to like 2022.

[00:57:05] 2022.

[00:57:06] So let's say they went into full production on this with the full weight of the studio in 2022.

[00:57:11] So that's two years that they worked on it.

[00:57:14] So we're still like three to four years from this game seeing the light of day.

[00:57:19] I would say.

[00:57:20] Sounds right.

[00:57:22] Which that's just too long.

[00:57:24] Too long, man.

[00:57:25] Which I, but anyway.

[00:57:26] Brief little tangent here.

[00:57:28] I think our discord has talked me into playing the last of us part one.

[00:57:34] Um, I was going to wear it as this badge of honor.

[00:57:37] I've been like, Oh, I've never played a last of us game because it's just been so long, but the discord has been persistent.

[00:57:44] So we may eventually get around to an episode on that.

[00:57:48] Okay.

[00:57:48] Yeah.

[00:57:49] And so we know when you're ready.

[00:57:50] I'll be ready in June.

[00:57:52] I don't know.

[00:57:54] In June.

[00:57:56] Yeah.

[00:57:57] Well, the season two is going to launch this year.

[00:57:59] So yeah, it'd be a good time.

[00:58:01] It would be good timing.

[00:58:02] Okay.

[00:58:02] Okay.

[00:58:03] My next is, um, Assassin's Creed shadows.

[00:58:09] Okay.

[00:58:10] Launches to critical acclaim.

[00:58:12] Ooh.

[00:58:13] And saves Ubisoft from financial.

[00:58:16] Ooh.

[00:58:17] Do I, I really want this to happen.

[00:58:19] I am manifesting positivity into the universe.

[00:58:23] I think that this game is going to be really good.

[00:58:26] I think it's going to be highly polished at release.

[00:58:29] I think it's going to be chock full of content.

[00:58:32] I think that they're going to over index on customer satisfaction.

[00:58:35] They're going to give a ton of content for free.

[00:58:38] It's going to have a solid story and great combat.

[00:58:41] It's going to look amazing.

[00:58:42] I think Ubisoft nails this and it makes a billion dollars and it saves the company.

[00:58:47] That's what I'm manifesting in the universe.

[00:58:49] I like this, man.

[00:58:50] I want it to happen.

[00:58:51] Um, here's the thing.

[00:58:54] Listen, we're, I'm, if you're a long time listener, you know, I'm unusually snippy tonight, but like Star Wars Outlaws.

[00:59:02] I really liked the episode that we did and we did that with John from gaming in the wild.

[00:59:07] Um, and maybe it's cause it was a bit of an echo chamber, but honestly, Outlaws was much better than I think a lot of reviews saw or gave it.

[00:59:18] Um, yes, and the main reason for delaying, right.

[00:59:23] Assassin's Creed shadows is because they wanted to avoid all performance critiques, right?

[00:59:27] It was purely for polish.

[00:59:29] And I kind of think that if Star Wars Outlaws launched with the level of polish that they're hoping that shadows will achieve a lot more people would have enjoyed and purchased outlaws.

[00:59:40] And so part of me is kind of like, ah, yeah, maybe shadows really does pull it off if they can really polish everything and really stick the landing.

[00:59:48] So I'm hopeful.

[00:59:51] I think there's going to be the one.

[00:59:53] I think there's going to be the one that like a lot of people who've been like on the fence about these RPG versions of Assassin's Creed are going to be like, okay, I got to jump into that.

[01:00:02] It looks freaking dope.

[01:00:04] Of course, we're going to get Ghost of Yotai later in the year.

[01:00:07] Oh yeah, give me the year.

[01:00:08] Um, but luckily they're not going to come out close to each other, so they don't really have to worry about.

[01:00:12] Yeah, that's true.

[01:00:15] Okay.

[01:00:16] Okay.

[01:00:16] Jake here.

[01:00:17] Next one.

[01:00:18] This is my big, I think this is my big one.

[01:00:20] Should I save it?

[01:00:21] This is your big one.

[01:00:22] Okay.

[01:00:22] Well, if you want, let's do, I'm going to save it.

[01:00:25] I'll do, I'll do my snippy one.

[01:00:28] This is my very, very snippy one.

[01:00:31] Okay.

[01:00:34] Team cherry.

[01:00:35] Sorry.

[01:00:36] No.

[01:00:40] Team cherry.

[01:00:41] Announce it.

[01:00:42] No predictions about this freaking video.

[01:00:45] Oh my gosh.

[01:00:46] Listen, listen.

[01:00:47] Oh my gosh.

[01:00:48] Team cherry.

[01:00:50] Announces.

[01:00:52] A new game.

[01:00:53] They've been working on before silksong releases.

[01:01:00] If you could understand that, I think I've got the wiggles out.

[01:01:04] So I'm going to reread that.

[01:01:05] Okay.

[01:01:06] Okay.

[01:01:06] Read it again.

[01:01:06] Sorry.

[01:01:07] Sorry.

[01:01:07] Oh my gosh.

[01:01:08] Team cherry announces a new game.

[01:01:10] They've been working on before silksong releases.

[01:01:15] I was feeling particularly mean.

[01:01:18] When I wrote that down, I almost nixed it.

[01:01:21] Cause I felt bad, but I'm keeping it.

[01:01:24] That is cause it, that's an all time prediction.

[01:01:26] Dude.

[01:01:27] It could happen though.

[01:01:30] I could just, can you imagine?

[01:01:34] No.

[01:01:37] It's a hollow night.

[01:01:39] The hollow night brawler gets announced, man.

[01:01:41] And at this point, I'm not playing silksong out of sheer spite.

[01:01:46] That game has burned me too much.

[01:01:49] If anybody from team cherry hears that, I'm so sorry.

[01:01:52] We do love you.

[01:01:54] We're just impatient.

[01:01:55] That is hilarious.

[01:01:57] That's a great, that's actually, that's a hilarious.

[01:01:58] That's a great prediction.

[01:02:00] That's one of the best.

[01:02:02] Okay.

[01:02:02] My next one is kind of a softball, but I'm giving a specific timeframe and another caveat,

[01:02:08] but switch to, for goodness sakes, it's going to launch this year.

[01:02:16] Launches in May alongside the next Mario 3d platformer.

[01:02:19] So I'm giving it a specific month.

[01:02:21] You're giving it a month.

[01:02:21] And I think it's going to be May.

[01:02:22] You're giving it a month.

[01:02:22] Yeah.

[01:02:23] Okay.

[01:02:23] We'll take it.

[01:02:26] Let's see.

[01:02:27] And I'm saying May because I think that's when the switch one launched.

[01:02:33] Okay.

[01:02:34] I think, I think it was March.

[01:02:37] Was it that early?

[01:02:39] I could be wrong.

[01:02:40] I don't know, man.

[01:02:41] I don't think they announced, I don't think they do it in the fall because they're scared

[01:02:45] of GTA six.

[01:02:46] Like everyone.

[01:02:46] Right.

[01:02:47] I don't think they're going to.

[01:02:48] Yeah.

[01:02:49] Okay.

[01:02:50] My next one.

[01:02:52] Monster Hunter wild breaks all steam records upon launch.

[01:02:59] So that's like, yeah, concurrence, most sold, like all of them, the whole grand slam of

[01:03:10] steam records.

[01:03:13] That one is a bit of a softball, but all of them.

[01:03:17] No, I like it.

[01:03:17] I mean, yeah, I know.

[01:03:20] I like it.

[01:03:21] But I definitely think it has a chance.

[01:03:24] The strong chance.

[01:03:26] Yeah.

[01:03:29] Nice.

[01:03:29] Okay.

[01:03:29] My next one is Stardew Valley.

[01:03:33] This is another snippy one.

[01:03:36] We're in a mood tonight.

[01:03:37] Yeah, we are.

[01:03:38] Stardew Valley continues to get major updates.

[01:03:42] No news on Haunted Chocolatier in 2025.

[01:03:47] Oh man, I had a similar one.

[01:03:49] So I'll shuffle that one as my next one.

[01:03:53] I said, uh, Haunted Chocolatier gets another tease, but no release in 2025.

[01:03:58] Dude, I don't even think we get a tease.

[01:03:59] Just leave it off.

[01:04:00] No, just not even a video.

[01:04:03] No.

[01:04:04] What's the point?

[01:04:06] He doesn't care.

[01:04:07] He just wants to work on Stardew Valley.

[01:04:08] Stardew Valley 1.9 update adds.

[01:04:11] 1.9.

[01:04:13] Adds the Elden Ring mod.

[01:04:16] Brand new story DLC.

[01:04:19] Oh my gosh.

[01:04:21] Stop.

[01:04:23] What's funny is the people, I know people who have continued to play Stardew Valley all

[01:04:27] this time, and what they remark is that the game at this point has too much content.

[01:04:35] Like it's overwrought.

[01:04:37] It's overwrought.

[01:04:38] Like it's too much.

[01:04:39] Like, and a lot of it feels like so much extra filler or like five or six different ways

[01:04:45] to kind of do the same activity in the game.

[01:04:47] And so it's, they feel like, which is kind of interesting.

[01:04:52] So I'm not like closely attuned to it, but that was their remark to me.

[01:04:55] That is an interesting way of thinking about it, right?

[01:04:58] Is it just too much at this point?

[01:05:01] I think it is.

[01:05:02] It's time to cut it loose.

[01:05:03] Time to cut it loose, concerned ape.

[01:05:05] I wonder, sorry, last thoughts here.

[01:05:07] This just came to my mind.

[01:05:08] I wonder how many of the more recent purchases of Stardew Valley are brand new players or

[01:05:15] if they're like people buying a second copy of it at this point.

[01:05:20] Oh, I'm sure it's, I'm sure.

[01:05:23] Like I wonder if it's.

[01:05:24] We have multiple copies.

[01:05:25] We have a copy on like three systems.

[01:05:27] Oh, so do I.

[01:05:29] Switch PC and Xbox.

[01:05:30] Just got to get it for PlayStation.

[01:05:37] I just made one, right?

[01:05:38] So you're up.

[01:05:40] Oh, I tagged on to yours.

[01:05:41] The haunted chocolatier gets another tease.

[01:05:43] But no, we're listening to it.

[01:05:44] So we're both predicting that.

[01:05:45] So we'll go both get a point.

[01:05:46] That's fine.

[01:05:46] Nice.

[01:05:48] Okay.

[01:05:49] My next one is Fortnite has a Nintendo crossover event in 2025.

[01:05:58] Oh, so we're finally getting Mario in Fortnite.

[01:06:03] Like we're finally getting Princess Peach with a gun.

[01:06:07] I think it happens.

[01:06:09] I think it happens.

[01:06:10] I don't know if it's Mario.

[01:06:11] I don't know if it's Mario, but it could be Zelda link like a Zelda crossover.

[01:06:19] It could be a Donkey Kong.

[01:06:21] Dude, wouldn't Samus be good for Fortnite?

[01:06:23] Samus.

[01:06:24] Yep.

[01:06:25] Metroid Nintendo themed.

[01:06:28] I could see it like a Nintendo theme season with like Nintendo battle pass, dude.

[01:06:33] Imagine it.

[01:06:34] I don't know if it's crazy money.

[01:06:35] Dude, that's got like Nintendo's got to be the last major holdout.

[01:06:40] Yeah, that's why I think it's going to happen.

[01:06:42] I just don't think I think it just makes too much.

[01:06:44] They both companies stand to make way too much money and to boost both of their profit

[01:06:50] margins way too much if because yeah, yeah.

[01:06:54] If Fortnite finally lands the Nintendo crossover, does that mean that Fortnite has nowhere to

[01:07:03] go?

[01:07:04] Like is it the beginning of the end?

[01:07:06] So it's interesting you say that.

[01:07:08] I was actually going to make another prediction like that because it goes with another prediction.

[01:07:13] Ultimately, I made a more positively spinned one.

[01:07:15] But the prediction I was going to make is that 2025 marks the year of the start of the decline

[01:07:21] of the Battle Royale like live service monster.

[01:07:35] Yeah.

[01:07:38] There has to be some kind of drop off like at some point.

[01:07:41] And I think this year is the year.

[01:07:43] I think this is the year it happens to that point.

[01:07:45] Like you do reach a threshold.

[01:07:47] There's not unlimited IP.

[01:07:49] And so if you lose ways to different to like make the battle pass exciting and interesting

[01:07:54] and like pop off player counts, which Nintendo to your point, that would be like the final

[01:07:58] holdout, right?

[01:08:00] Then you start just having to repeat stuff.

[01:08:03] And if you don't have new IP to build off of and do like full seasons off of, I think

[01:08:09] it starts to decline.

[01:08:10] And obviously it's a slow decline.

[01:08:12] They're still going to be huge.

[01:08:13] Right.

[01:08:13] Obviously for a long time.

[01:08:14] But I think that was going to be one.

[01:08:16] It's not the prediction I'm making, but yeah.

[01:08:18] Yeah.

[01:08:19] Yeah.

[01:08:20] That does make sense.

[01:08:23] But that would be pretty dope, right?

[01:08:24] Like Nintendo crossover.

[01:08:25] I mean, it would be cool.

[01:08:26] So much freaking money.

[01:08:27] I would even get, I would shell out for like, I don't know, a Bowser.

[01:08:30] I feel like that'd be stupid, but fun.

[01:08:31] Yeah.

[01:08:32] Dude.

[01:08:32] Imagine like Nintendo Mario, you know, bomb things.

[01:08:37] And there's so many different, there's a billion things they could do with that.

[01:08:41] Yeah.

[01:08:42] I agree.

[01:08:42] So, and there's already precedent for Mario characters having guns because of Mario rabbits.

[01:08:49] Oh, there you go.

[01:08:50] Oh.

[01:08:50] And, uh, which are actually really good games, by the way.

[01:08:54] Yeah.

[01:08:55] If you haven't played those.

[01:08:55] Uh, okay.

[01:08:57] Jake, you're up.

[01:08:57] Okay.

[01:08:58] This is the one that you're going to poo poo.

[01:09:01] Um, Xbox hits four out of five major announced releases.

[01:09:04] This is, I added one.

[01:09:08] Okay.

[01:09:08] So what does this mean?

[01:09:09] Does this mean that they hit a, no, no, no, no, no.

[01:09:11] I think you need to make it for specific games out of five specific games for that will

[01:09:16] release and one that will not.

[01:09:19] You have a list of four right now.

[01:09:21] Yes.

[01:09:22] Oh, okay.

[01:09:23] I like that.

[01:09:24] Okay.

[01:09:24] Xbox will hit avowed South of midnight, the outer worlds to and doom the dark ages, but

[01:09:32] it will not hit fable.

[01:09:35] Okay.

[01:09:36] That's fine.

[01:09:39] I don't think that's, yeah.

[01:09:41] I think that's going to happen, but it's also, you know, we've know from past years that

[01:09:45] it could easily get a wrench thrown in.

[01:09:48] True.

[01:09:50] I like it though.

[01:09:51] That's exciting.

[01:09:51] Exciting year for Xbox.

[01:09:53] Yeah.

[01:09:53] It should be.

[01:09:54] I was going to make my prediction that Xbox wins a game of the year this year, but there's

[01:09:58] too many powerhouses at play this year.

[01:10:00] 2025 is insane.

[01:10:02] There's too many players.

[01:10:04] Way too many.

[01:10:04] Honestly, I think a game of the year lists are safe.

[01:10:08] If GTA six launches in December, you know what I mean?

[01:10:12] Like, yeah, it should, it should actually be perfect time for them to launch would be

[01:10:18] like December like 10th.

[01:10:19] Yeah.

[01:10:20] Um, anyways.

[01:10:23] Okay.

[01:10:24] My next one is Trump president.

[01:10:27] Oh, politics coming into gets involved with something related to video games in 2025.

[01:10:35] I mean, is this, I don't know what it is.

[01:10:38] I don't know if it's like anti game legislation or something that extreme, or if it's just like

[01:10:42] a scandal that involves video games, or maybe he's featured in GTA.

[01:10:47] It's something along those lines.

[01:10:49] Trump caught playing FIFA for 12 hours straight.

[01:10:52] No, uh, dude, I, not to get too much into politics, but a lot of the conservative, like far right

[01:11:00] wing movement right now in the United States is blaming a lot of violence on video games.

[01:11:06] So I wouldn't be surprised if legislation was put forward about like banning violence or guns

[01:11:15] or something super extreme.

[01:11:18] And then people, someone's going to lean over and whisper in his ear, like there's too many

[01:11:23] American companies that will lose way too much money in jobs.

[01:11:26] If you actually pass this legislation.

[01:11:27] There's too much.

[01:11:28] That'll never happen.

[01:11:29] Yeah.

[01:11:29] To your point, that will never happen.

[01:11:31] Cause there's way too many billions of dollars tied to guns and violence of video games.

[01:11:35] Yeah.

[01:11:35] And American companies with right wing CEOs.

[01:11:38] Yeah.

[01:11:38] So I wouldn't be surprised though, if, if some sort of bill or executive order got put forward,

[01:11:45] but didn't actually come through.

[01:11:49] Yeah.

[01:11:49] You're going to kill the call of duty franchise.

[01:11:51] No.

[01:11:52] Yeah.

[01:11:52] Kill GTA six and kill call of duty.

[01:11:54] Let's see how too many rich people.

[01:11:56] Yeah.

[01:11:58] Oh man.

[01:11:59] Uh, okay.

[01:12:01] I don't even know where I'm at on my list.

[01:12:03] I've got two more.

[01:12:04] I think one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10.

[01:12:09] Okay.

[01:12:09] Yeah.

[01:12:09] Okay.

[01:12:09] Yeah.

[01:12:10] I think we both have two more.

[01:12:11] I've got two more.

[01:12:12] Yeah.

[01:12:13] Okay.

[01:12:13] Okay.

[01:12:14] Am I going?

[01:12:16] I think so.

[01:12:17] Okay.

[01:12:18] Uh, this is, I was thinking about Bellatro when I, when I made this, but the viral out

[01:12:23] of nowhere indie hit is not a deck builder and doesn't use deck building of any kind.

[01:12:29] And what I'm including in here is not just no cards, but also no dice.

[01:12:38] And is that because the game, like the indie game of the year for the past every year is

[01:12:43] like a deck game.

[01:12:44] A lot of these viral hits have like deck building elements to them, which is a great mechanic.

[01:12:50] I think, um, to increase the long, uh, long, uh, long, uh, longevity.

[01:12:55] Dude, I cannot speak longevity.

[01:12:57] Longevity.

[01:12:58] Thank you.

[01:12:59] I'm adding extra symbol, a syllable in there.

[01:13:01] Or, uh, yeah, I mean, it's, it's a good mechanic that works really well and it helps employ

[01:13:06] like tactical thinking in games, which I think are two important elements for, um, viral hits.

[01:13:14] But this one, the viral one's not going to have deck building.

[01:13:18] Gotcha.

[01:13:20] Nice.

[01:13:23] Okay.

[01:13:25] My next one is, this is a big one.

[01:13:28] And again, this is me manifesting some positivity in here.

[01:13:31] So after several tumultuous years in the triple A games space industry.

[01:13:39] Okay.

[01:13:42] 2025 is a banner year for video games.

[01:13:46] One of the biggest of all time.

[01:13:50] If not the biggest comparing closely to 2004 capped off with the GTA six reinvigorating the

[01:13:58] premium triple A games market.

[01:14:01] Nice.

[01:14:03] So to give some context to this, I think what this means is that we have multiple, like three

[01:14:14] to five different triple A games that sell hundreds of millions of dollars.

[01:14:22] Okay.

[01:14:23] Right.

[01:14:23] Yeah.

[01:14:24] And revenue and tens of millions in copies.

[01:14:28] And, and the reason I give the 2004 comparison is because if you look at 2004, we got doom

[01:14:35] three fable, Metroid prime two and metal gear solid three.

[01:14:39] And in 2025, we're getting doom.

[01:14:42] The dark ages, probably Metroid prime four metal, metal gear, metal gear solid three remake

[01:14:47] and probably fable.

[01:14:49] So there's like some parallels going on.

[01:14:52] Oh, there's another 2004.

[01:14:59] I want to say a GTA three or something of the kind.

[01:15:02] And then we're getting, yeah, I think it is.

[01:15:03] It's either GTA three or GTA four in 2004.

[01:15:07] Which one is it?

[01:15:08] It's not GTA three.

[01:15:10] I just looked that up.

[01:15:11] That's 2001.

[01:15:12] Two.

[01:15:13] One.

[01:15:16] None.

[01:15:16] Uh, what was, what am I thinking of?

[01:15:19] Am I thinking of GTA games release here?

[01:15:27] Vice city was 2002.

[01:15:30] Oh, got the thought of San Andreas.

[01:15:32] Oh, San Andreas.

[01:15:32] Yeah.

[01:15:32] Okay.

[01:15:33] One of the biggest.

[01:15:35] Grand Theft Autos.

[01:15:36] Yeah.

[01:15:36] San Andreas.

[01:15:36] We get came out in 2004 and we're getting Grand Theft Auto six.

[01:15:40] Um, so yeah, I think I don't get this prediction.

[01:15:45] If there's not some major, like major wins in the AAA games industry.

[01:15:50] Cause I think two thousand, 2024 was a year of like a down year for like the major, the

[01:15:58] major parts of the video game industry.

[01:16:00] Right.

[01:16:00] Like the AAA game space.

[01:16:03] Yeah.

[01:16:03] And so I think 2025 is the year that like reinvigorates it.

[01:16:07] We see live service games kind of take a little bit of a downward trend.

[01:16:10] We see like paying for games and paying like premium prices for game like shoot up largely

[01:16:16] due to GTA six, but, but also a lot of other stuff.

[01:16:20] Yeah.

[01:16:20] So, yeah.

[01:16:22] I mean, look, we're getting, think about it, dude.

[01:16:25] New doom, new GTA, Death Stranding two, switch to with a new Mario 3d platformer, a huge number

[01:16:34] of Xbox, like game pass games coming out, uh, just a ton of stuff on the horizon.

[01:16:41] That's true.

[01:16:42] A ton.

[01:16:42] And then, uh, what's it called?

[01:16:46] And then you met, you mentioned, uh, what did I mention?

[01:16:49] Oh shoot.

[01:16:50] Animal.

[01:16:51] No, sorry.

[01:16:53] OD.

[01:16:53] What is this?

[01:16:54] Monster Hunter.

[01:16:55] Monster Hunter.

[01:16:56] Yeah.

[01:16:58] So yeah, that's my prediction manifesting some big, big stuff in 2020, 2025 for,

[01:17:04] triple a.

[01:17:07] All right.

[01:17:08] And you ready for my last one?

[01:17:10] Give it to me.

[01:17:11] I don't know.

[01:17:12] I preface this one earlier by saying it was really big.

[01:17:15] I'm going to try to make it sound really big.

[01:17:17] I don't know if it's as big as, uh, it feels less big now, but here it is.

[01:17:23] New 3d Mario platformer launches and wins game of the year at the game awards, making

[01:17:27] for back-to-back 3d platformer wins.

[01:17:30] Nice.

[01:17:31] So I'm picking this one because it would be cool, but also, um, could you imagine back

[01:17:38] to back 3d platformer wins for game of the year at the game awards?

[01:17:42] Like that to me feels like it's crazy.

[01:17:44] It, they don't typically go that way when it comes to game of the year selections.

[01:17:49] Usually it's something like massive cinematic action game.

[01:17:53] Right.

[01:17:54] Um, so yeah, I'm, I'm predicting it here and now you heard it here first.

[01:17:58] New 3d Mario launches and it's going to make for back-to-back game of the year wins for

[01:18:04] 3d platformers.

[01:18:05] Love it.

[01:18:06] Love it, dude.

[01:18:08] Mario Odyssey was so good.

[01:18:10] Is it Mario Odyssey two?

[01:18:12] I don't know.

[01:18:13] It probably was at some point now.

[01:18:15] It's probably just like super Mario super.

[01:18:17] I don't know something, some other name.

[01:18:19] The super is to Mario.

[01:18:22] Okay.

[01:18:23] My final prediction is after nearly 15 years or more of speculation, we finally hear from

[01:18:37] valve on half life three, dude.

[01:18:43] Did you see that tease that came out a few days ago?

[01:18:48] I think it's, it's going to happen, dude.

[01:18:51] I think it's going to happen this year.

[01:18:54] Half life.

[01:18:55] It's been so it's been the game like every year since, since like a couple of years after

[01:19:01] half life two came out, it was in every video game article.

[01:19:06] Everything that you would read online.

[01:19:09] It's like, Oh, we're going to see half life three.

[01:19:11] We're going to see halfway.

[01:19:11] And then 10 years later, it was like, okay, half five, three is never coming out.

[01:19:15] Where is it?

[01:19:16] Then we got half life Alex.

[01:19:17] And I was like, Oh wait, this franchise is still alive.

[01:19:20] Right.

[01:19:21] But now, now I think it's finally, it's finally coming.

[01:19:27] I like it, man.

[01:19:29] That's my final prediction.

[01:19:30] Half life three.

[01:19:31] And, and Jake, if half life three comes out in 2025, then my other prediction will surely,

[01:19:37] surely take place because that is, that will be an insanity year for, for video games.

[01:19:44] And on top of it.

[01:19:45] Oh, wait a second.

[01:19:50] I think I forgot one.

[01:19:52] Well, what could it be?

[01:19:55] Yeah.

[01:19:55] I forgot one.

[01:19:56] I have one more.

[01:19:56] That was only nine.

[01:19:57] Let's hear the bonus.

[01:19:59] No, it's not a bonus.

[01:20:00] I, I, I, let's just hear the last one, I guess.

[01:20:03] Yeah.

[01:20:03] Okay.

[01:20:04] Anyway, half life three, that was supposed to be my big finale, but, uh, I had another

[01:20:09] one watch is we learned that at least we learn that at least three major AAA releases are

[01:20:13] delayed out of 2025 due to the GTA six launch window.

[01:20:17] Oh, Oh, I like that one.

[01:20:20] Yeah.

[01:20:20] So that's if GTA six actually makes 2025, I think if it doesn't, if it doesn't make it,

[01:20:26] then I'll lose this one.

[01:20:27] Obviously, obviously.

[01:20:28] But if it doesn't make it, I think we get a few more games that come out this year.

[01:20:35] Oh yeah.

[01:20:36] That won't get delayed because they're like, we're not, because if GTA six gets delayed,

[01:20:40] it's going to come out in winter of next year.

[01:20:42] I don't think they're going to wait another full year would be my thought.

[01:20:46] Yeah.

[01:20:46] I agree.

[01:20:47] Uh, so that's funny.

[01:20:48] I double checked and I have one more.

[01:20:50] It's not that exciting.

[01:20:52] It's actually my, probably my least exciting one.

[01:20:54] I always do a version of this prediction just because I try my best to predict, um,

[01:20:59] what the, the indie darling will be for award season.

[01:21:02] Oh yeah.

[01:21:03] And so I have a citizen sleeper two is the game awards, indie darling netting four nominations

[01:21:08] and two wins.

[01:21:10] Nice.

[01:21:10] Which I can't remember.

[01:21:13] I don't think I predicted that last year, but I typically do one of these.

[01:21:17] Um, and, uh, let's see, like last year I wouldn't have been able to predict cause Bellachio

[01:21:23] came out of nowhere, but Bellachio was the indie darling last year.

[01:21:28] Nice.

[01:21:30] Well, ladies and gentlemen, that's our 2025 video game predictions.

[01:21:35] Some pretty wild ones for you.

[01:21:37] So chew on those.

[01:21:38] Let us know what you think about our predictions for this year.

[01:21:41] Should we run through them real quick?

[01:21:43] If you think we're just completely wildly insane, let us know.

[01:21:48] Or if you like what we said, also let us know and tell us what your predictions are.

[01:21:52] We want to hear from you.

[01:21:53] What's going to happen in 2025.

[01:21:55] I think this is going to be another super exciting year in video games.

[01:21:59] Last year was super exciting.

[01:22:00] I think this year is going to make last year look foolish to be honest.

[01:22:04] Yes.

[01:22:05] Uh, we're already starting off at the beginning of February.

[01:22:11] You're going to have a new kingdom come deliverance game, which is like a very popular

[01:22:14] franchise.

[01:22:16] Um, so, and then from there, it's just, and it's ridiculous February.

[01:22:22] And then after that, like, I think the releases are kind of, uh, it's a little bit darker because

[01:22:27] I think a lot of publishers are like kind of playing wait and see with GTA.

[01:22:30] So, uh, but yeah, should be a very fun year.

[01:22:35] And Jake and I will be there to capture not all of it, but most of it.

[01:22:38] I think we do a pretty good job at capturing the major beats and, and games that come out.

[01:22:43] Um, and thank you for joining us once again in a new year.
