go into the dungeon they go into the dungeon and you whoop ass and win um but yeah you you never [00:44:49] just like a good horror game you never feel like like certain that you're gonna be able to overcome [00:44:56] whatever like comes around the corner or comes into your next battle because like just regular [00:45:02] regular encounters with like regular enemies you're all you're always on edge like you're always [00:45:07] taking advantage of the extra turns taking advantage of any weaknesses fuck aren't they yeah yeah they're [00:45:14] pretty fucking punishing yeah like like do you have to grind a lot not a lot but you might have to [00:45:21] grind a little bit like when you get to uh when you get to uh like a like the bosses are for sure the [00:45:26] hardest parts some bosses will kind of stonewall your ass uh until you come up with a good strategy [00:45:33] and uh build a good team around them because like one of the one of the biggest walls in the game [00:45:38] i think like maybe a quarter of the way through is this guy called matador and he's just like a [00:45:43] skeletal matador and like as long as you just fuse a lot of demons that have uh the wind spells on [00:45:52] or xan or whatever and then you just debuff the fuck out of them you're good to go but yeah it's [00:45:59] it's tough it's just it has a lot of horror elements to it and it yeah sometimes it might as well just be [00:46:04] a horror rpg man it's it's it's a son of a bitch but it's good it's not on one of my picks but i you [00:46:10] know one of the ps2 games that i'm like that's that's definitely the next rpg that i play on ps2 [00:46:17] i want to play those uh shadow heart games number one they have timed hits number two it's like a [00:46:24] horror rpg which are few and far between and i feel like i should play all of them [00:46:32] yeah man i i think i tried to play i i actually did get ps2 uh games running on my laptop not too long [00:46:40] ago so i can like six hours wake up [00:50:52] and then just play for like 12 hours straight god damn dude for like weeks and weeks because like [00:50:59] i yeah i bliss persona 5 and i loved it i loved every second of persona 5 i think it's an amazing [00:51:05] game but like i don't know man i just i need shorter you know i've been on a quest to find some [00:51:14] short rpgs in my life called inside that's not it's 20 hours 25 25 hours shorter shorter shorten that [00:51:26] dick no uh nocturne nocturne if you're doing just the main story it's 50 hours but if you do [00:51:33] main plus extra it's 62 it's a beefy boy it's a beefy boy yeah it's a beefy yeah you don't now [00:51:45] speaking of beefy boys chris redfield he shows up in a game called resident evil 8 and resident [00:51:52] evil 8 has a crazy setting which is in some european mountain place and i gotta tell you [00:52:02] i fucking am all about it please step on me lady d yeah yeah her castle is some wild shit [00:52:13] like just the initial like it takes a bit of time to get there but just like rummaging around this [00:52:20] like desolate little village outside and like constantly seeing the castle in the background [00:52:24] and then eventually getting to that castle holy fucking shit dude did have you played resident [00:52:30] evil 8 fuck yeah my my wife got it for me for my birthday have you beat it let me look i think it was [00:52:38] the same oh yeah this game came out a day before my birthday so yeah i played it and fucking beat it [00:52:45] it's a good fucking game dude i i love this game not as much as some of the other resident evils but [00:52:52] like i really like that setting i love that setting i did not care for the back half of the game in its [00:53:01] setting the way it like i didn't care about like the fish dudes layer i didn't care about going to [00:53:06] fucking jabu jabu's layer to go fight a fish guy i didn't care about the like the warehouse or the [00:53:12] factory was okay but like at that point i was like what is happening like if this if that game had to [00:53:19] just bend the village and the castle and then maybe like throw some other weird ass shit like toward the [00:53:25] end like have the factory like underground or some weird shit that would have been like primo that [00:53:31] fucking dollhouse can get fucked do you remember how scary that shit was with the fucking aborted baby [00:53:41] chasing you around and shit yeah that baby i think was one that was uh maybe five or six jump scares the [00:53:50] game got out of me yeah that was that was some shit dude what the fuck man that was insane [00:53:59] but yeah the the entire atmosphere of just this desolate village with the backdrop of this castle [00:54:06] that you eventually go to and the castle in and of itself is like its own setting as well [00:54:12] and the way it's kind of like seamlessly interconnected i love that shit so much resident evil does that so [00:54:20] well like silent hill is different in that way like silent hill doesn't have a lot of that like [00:54:26] interconnectivity until you get into what i call the silent hill dungeons like the apartments the [00:54:30] hospital like they have like a whole like oh i just loop back around and i found a thing for this [00:54:35] thing and i found a thing for that thing but the silent hill four does a really good job of that [00:54:39] because like you'll see like the places you go that like the dungeons you go to in four you'll see [00:54:45] like through your apartment window and shit like when you see somebody walk into the into the [00:54:49] the train station or the subway station that you have to rescue yeah you'll go to the train station and [00:54:54] yeah sorry go ahead forgot about that i gotta play that game i've never beat four i beat i think [00:55:00] almost all of them except i think it's on gog.com and it's on sale a lot for like five bucks it's on pc [00:55:08] yeah yeah it's on gog it's uh ten bucks man pc might be the way to play that because like [00:55:16] the lower frame rates it's drm free um but yeah the uh the castle absolutely fantastic i love it it's [00:55:29] definitely up there with some of my favorite locations in a horror game yeah dude that's uh [00:55:36] when you first come across the werewolves in the village like that shit was man that shit was wild [00:55:45] that game went from like it started off like a teeny bit slow and then then like as soon as you step [00:55:52] foot into the village it's like werewolves vampires fucking yeah it just went fucking nuts and like [00:55:59] toward the end the van the werewolves ain't shit because you're just like kablammo and just like [00:56:04] blowing their asses like through buildings and shit but like at the beginning of that game [00:56:10] holy shit dude you see one of those guys and you're like [00:56:14] fuck well how am i supposed to deal with this thing [00:56:18] god in the castle let alone two dude oh yeah dude just like getting in the castle and like [00:56:23] i just remember there was like one place with and it was like kind of flooded and it was kind of like [00:56:29] in a wine cellar and like you're looking down like this this like hall of like it's like flooded [00:56:36] with like these wine racks and you just see like a zombie come up out of the water super slow and [00:56:42] just like the lighting and shit i was like this is gonna make me jizz right now like i'm this is like [00:56:50] my thing just like the fucking cinematography god i'm gonna come the cinematography of this [00:56:59] fucking game is insane like just certain shots that the way that they line up with like you getting [00:57:04] into a certain area it's just it's incredible it's incredible some of the coolest shit was for me was [00:57:12] uh when you're just you're just exploring like so yeah right since you get to the castle you get [00:57:17] captured whatever you break out whatever uh but when you're exploring the castle and like at first [00:57:24] you don't know that like lady d and her sisters or her daughters or whatever on your ass like you [00:57:30] don't know it but then by the way those daughters they can get it right yeah dude if naver on here [00:57:38] dude he'd be all over that dude i want their entire family to step on me all at
