[00:01:36] Uh, so I, you know, I've been playing metaphor and stuff.

[00:01:39] I have made almost no progress.

[00:01:42] Um, I, but I did all the, I did like get all of the side missions and there are these trials.

[00:01:47] There's three trials, like the end game bosses and I've killed two of them and I'm not stuck on the third one going.

[00:01:55] I don't want to look up how to just beat them and cheese them, but I think I'm going to have to because I don't know how to beat this guy.

[00:04:31] And on it, it says employees only use the other entrance.

[00:04:52] And so I open up the door and it's full of employees just sitting back there.

[00:05:52] And then you go back and you sit in your car and then they'll open up the door, walk out and bring your food.

[00:05:57] And what I instead did is I when I just stood by the host's stand waiting for them to bring my food to the front.

[00:06:04] So the moral of the story that Philip's telling you is that anyone could run a podcast.

[00:06:36] So, of course, Spanish is the most popular choice for people in general.

[00:06:40] German is a popular for a subset group of people.

[00:06:44] Then next is Japanese for nerds.

[00:06:47] But Korean is also on the rise.

[00:06:50] But for you, of course, I would guess Japanese, you know.

[00:06:55] Of course, I'm learning.

[00:06:56] I'm learning Japanese and I was very intimidated at first, but it's not that hard.

[00:07:02] It's not bad.

[00:07:03] And I know Duolingo is probably not great, but like, I don't know.

[00:07:08] It's like a game.

[00:07:08] It's like, oh, it's fun.

[00:07:09] You know, it's it's interesting.

[00:07:11] I would argue in favor of Duolingo, actually, like especially when you're starting out and doing Kana or like Katakana and Hiragana.

[00:07:18] Duolingo is probably the best on the market as far as like free sources go.

[00:07:23] It's so good.

[00:07:24] You know, you know what I actually is like I started doing the the words and stuff and like putting word a couple of words together, like learning to toe and and this and stuff like that, like learning how that shit works.

[00:07:38] Yeah.

[00:07:39] And then I start and then it gated me off.

[00:07:41] It was like, you can't go on until you learn some Hiragana.

[00:07:43] And then I was like, OK, fine, whatever.

[00:07:45] And that was like the scariest thing.

[00:07:47] I was like, I don't want to do that.

[00:07:48] And once I started doing it, I was like, oh, this is the funnest part, actually.

[00:07:51] Like, I like learning the Hiragana, but it's it's getting really difficult.

[00:07:56] And every time it makes me draw one, I don't fucking know.

[00:07:59] Like I can only do two and chi.

[00:08:03] I can do like the easiest ones, like the one that looks like a five, the one that looks like a U.

[00:08:08] Also is just a U on the side with a line above it.

[00:08:11] I'm like, OK, is it wild hearing me?

[00:08:14] See, the thing is, my handwriting has degraded to like nothing for any of the Kana.

[00:08:24] You're never going to write that like later on in your learning career or whatever, like it's you might as well go into the settings and be like skip writing.

[00:08:31] But it could be like good to learn at this point because I learned it at the time.

[00:08:34] I could write the whole syllabary down just like just listing out the 50 states just going on a list.

[00:08:40] But I don't think I could do it now, at least not accurately.

[00:08:43] I probably like screw up a couple of them or draw them kind of funny.

[00:08:47] But like I can read them all, but I don't know if I can write them all anymore.

[00:08:50] My Kana is probably better.

[00:08:52] It's helping me.

[00:08:53] It's helping me remember some of them.

[00:08:55] Like I remember I remember Sue and or wait, hold on.

[00:09:21] And it is getting very confusing now.

[00:09:24] Like I'm I was doing pretty good at writing them.

[00:09:28] But the more that gets introduced, the more I'm getting confused and not able to write anything.

[00:09:32] And so I'm like forgetting how to write them actively over just a few days.

[00:09:35] But I also think that I'm doing too much in one day, you know, like I'm overloading my brain.

[00:09:41] I'm not like sitting with it.

[00:09:42] But that was what I was afraid of.

[00:09:44] Like I went.

[00:09:45] So on Friday, I played it.

[00:09:46] I think I started.

[00:09:47] I might have started on Thursday.

[00:09:48] I don't remember.

[00:09:49] But sat yesterday was the day all day.

[00:09:53] I just sat down and just fucked with the hiragana and did like, I don't know, like five hours of it.

[00:09:59] Just like grinding it out.

[00:10:01] And I had that thought.

[00:10:02] I was also drinking a little bit too.

[00:10:05] So before I started really turning up, I was like, OK, I'm going to stop doing this because I'm afraid I'm going to go to sleep and I'm going to wake up and I'm going to forget all of this.

[00:10:12] And that wasn't really the case.

[00:10:15] But I did forget how to write like everything immediately.

[00:10:18] And then I started doing it on the computer because you can use Duolingo on the computer.

[00:10:21] And every half of the things are written differently.

[00:10:27] Like looks a little different.

[00:10:29] Yes.

[00:10:30] So like for like saw and key, they have they look like a you on the bottom instead of just a line on the phone.

[00:10:37] It's a line.

[00:10:38] It's so it's like a bunch of lines.

[00:10:39] But on the on the PC is it just makes no sense for listeners.

[00:10:43] But like it looks like a you instead of just a line underneath like a tilde on the bottom of the of the hiragana.

[00:10:49] And so there's an extra stroke or something.

[00:10:51] I am blind whenever I just don't know anything when I'm looking at the computer.

[00:10:56] And so I'm like, maybe I'm just pattern recognition, pattern recognition on my phone.

[00:11:01] Right. And I'm not actually internalizing it.

[00:11:03] So I started doing it on the phone.

[00:11:05] Another thing that's fucking me up is they do a thing where you just match them like you have five English enunciations and then you have five here are gone on the side.

[00:11:12] And so on the phone, the hit a gun is on the left.

[00:11:15] So I look at that and then I read it and then I find it on the other side.

[00:11:19] But on the PC, the English enunciations on the left, and that is also fucking me up and I can't read it anymore.

[00:11:27] And I'm like, oh, my God, it's I'm just pattern recognition.

[00:11:30] I'm not even like actually learning this.

[00:11:32] And so I've been like switching now, like that only just learned that today.

[00:11:37] Like, I don't know.

[00:11:38] I have no idea why I decided to pull it up on the PC, but I did.

[00:11:42] And it's like, oh, man, I mean, this was no progress whenever I tried to pick up coffee talk because I picked it up and it has pixel font.

[00:18:30] We passed a fingernail polish and I always read the names of the fingernail polish because I'm, I don't know.

[00:18:37] So I look over at it and the first one I see is like a beige and it's like Altelier by the sea.

[00:19:23] So I've been playing that.

[00:19:57] And it just so happened whenever I got on the boat, it triggered the next story cut scene.

[00:20:01] And I didn't even know it was going to happen type deal.

[00:20:03] So it's just you just play the game and stuff happens.

[00:20:06] And the whole game takes place over one summer.
