Hello everybody, and welcome to another episode of the Elder Trolls Gaming podcast. If you are new in joining us, we are three brothers, ras ombres Erman's I guess you could say. We get together and we talk about games and gaming. We talk about gaming, We talk about tech TV, you know what. We talk about everything here, Um and I am taking easy John and I'm Nasty Night and I'm dand Off the Wise and today we will be talking about what everyone is talking about in the gaming space this weekend, the Legend of Zelda, the Tears of the Kingdom. Now, it's always a big deal when a new Zelda game comes out. You know, I don't care what you're a fanboy of. If you're a freaking PlayStation fanboy, you're an Xbox fanboy. Like fighting each other. Oh, Zelda came out this weekend. Oh there's a buzz in the air, and we're gonna lay down our first impressions. We've all played the game for a while, for a few hours at least, so we're gonna get into that later. But first, Daniel is leaving tomorrow morning for a two week journey, and so by recording this tonight, he's gonna go become Florida Man Betty for another dedventure. Yeah, I'm leaving to to Florida for a couple of weeks because I was like, if I don't go now to visit some family, then I won't go for a long time. So I'm gonna like get it done with and kind of go check the place out and spend some time disconnect, escape a bit, come back. I will be bringing Disconnect except for this which you won't be disconnected. Yes, I will be bringing Zelda. Hopefully I get to play it more then I think, oh, because sometimes I'll do I'll do that, I'll bring stuff and then I just like won't touch it just to have it. But hopefully I do because I would like to keep playing it. You know, it's hot, it's fresh right now. Oh yeah, yeah, I'm not looking forward to tomorrow, Like I just can't stand the days, the anticipation, the days before leaving. I'm just like exhausted already just thinking about having to get up and then you know, go there, spend two hours on the road and then wait around then board a metal tube for three and a half hours. Anyway, I just wish I could just like fast forward it, but such is life. Yeah, it sucks. Traveling sucks. Traveling sucks, but being there is great. You know what they say, it's not the journey, it's the destination. M But sometimes that's not what it's the journey. They say it's the journey, But when it comes to traveling, I fucking I can't stand the airports and I just can't wait. It just takes a day out of your vacation. Yeah, it's actually but I guess it's lucky we're going for two weeks. You know, it could be worse. You could be we could have teleportation and uh and or tube technology would no, no, but get this the teleportation, my teleportation conundrum. You guys know my teleportation conundrum. You know it. I don't know if I've set if we didn't get the particles right, I don't know if I've said it on the podcast. But you know, like, how do you know it's actually you coming out the other end? Oh right, because it's like technically just me rebuilt the same, it's just a copy of that's the prestige. But yes, holy shit, yeah true, but the best part of the fucking movie. Yeah, but yeah, how do you know you're just not dying and they're just creating a copy of you. On the other end, You'll never know, and there's no way to prove it because you have are storing you in a tank under the floorboards. Yeah exactly, Well, no, you you evaporated. You you're vaporized, vaporized a body. A body can do that. Oh, yes, it doesn't matter because like if you're rebuilt on the other end, with all your memories and all that stuff, it is you. If the other person, if the other copy is it's not you though, it's it's a copy of you. No, it's it's you to other people. Yes, are you to yourself? Because consciousness is where things get tricky. It's like it's because you have everything up until that point. Yeah, it's like a little glitch. It's still you after that point. Yeah to that person. Yeah, I remember going into the teleporter. I came out this end perfect. But the you who went into the teleporter, I remember going in, but I don't remember what happened after that. He's fucking a chance to talk. Yeah, yeah, you would know, because you're the one coming out of the teleporter. No, you're not. It's a new copy of you. Yeah, but that copy of you knows what it was like before he went into the teleport. That was a different person. That's only because he has the memories of someone else. That's what Where did you develop this coming from? What made you start memory? Thought about? Oh, you're lying a bad shower thoughts? Shit one hashtag shower thoughts. I got up. I'll tell you I'm never going into the teleporter. I am never going in I think teleporter. I tell you, I think arry. I don't think everyone thinks that way. So a lot of people would just just step into it. Yeah, yeah, you just kill yourself, will into this box guarantee. Yeah, I want a consciousness backup guarantee or something that's impossible. They can't guarantee it because the person coming out the other end says, yeah, everything was great, thumbs up. Yeah yeah, but him, but you just killed someone and just created that new person, don't you understand? Yeah, I get it, But I don't see how that's I don't see how it's an element. I don't see. Yeah, I would kill myself to have someone else go up on a trip for me. Yeah, because you that's not someone else. That's no, it's not it's someone else's saying. What he's saying is you right now who goes into the teleporter would just cease to exist, and that that version of it just leave all consciousness. He would just be on the other side. You wouldn't re reborn, and you wouldn't you wouldn't be awake to see that. It would just be It'd be like if you were born as somebody else. You know what I mean? No, because if I stepped through this door and that was a teleporter on the other end, I would have the memory and consciousness of me stepping through that door and coming. You would to your replace side? Would I don't think so not. If it depends how it works, your replacement would not you. I'm saying. This is how I'm just saying. They can't prove that they They're not gonna like when it happens, Like, there's no way to prove that this is not what's happening. You know what I mean. You're thinking of it as it as in it actually works properly. I think that's not what I'm fucking saying. Man, I know what exactly what Jonathan saying, but I have no idea how how to explain it because it's just it doesn't matter because as long as yeah, I don't think I do, because I don't see how you could be okay with just killing yourself. Just happy of you to copy with. But it's a different it's not a different person, yes it is. It's a different it's a different conscious, it's a different body, a different brain with your previous memories. You're dead, which makes you you? Makes you makes you. We're gonna make it. We're gonna have to get the community to chime in on this the video game to explain this. Damn, this is it. This is is not it? This is I know exactly what you're talking about. This is mind bending? All right? Should we get into game time after that? Ah? Sure? All right? Well I don't think we have to explain what we're what we're playing currently. I mean, this weekend is either you're playing Diablo for server Salami, Server Slam, or you're playing the legend is Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. But if you're listening to this, you know, let us know, Um, are you playing Diablo? Are you waiting on Zelda? I don't know who'd be waiting on Zelda? Like come on, yea, well, it's just a beta though, so I mean, maybe you're not playing the Beto Nasty Nate played Redfall though. Was it so bad? How was it? I didn't run into any crazy glitches. I don't it was. It was just another like game pass game, you know, like I don't know. It was fine. I played like five six hours, I think, ran through. Okay, that's a lot. I had fun. I had fun. I had I ran into no like glitches or game stopping bugs or anything like that. Really. Yeah, the only issue I had was the HDR was fucked up on the PC. It kept like flashing if I had HDR on like flickering PHDR, so fucking walk. Yeah, it's terrible. So then I just I moved down to Xbox on the on the TV and it has like the auto HDR on right that the Microsoft has what And it was fine. It looks like I don't even see what kind of a stead they were going for. It kind of reminds me of like a time splitters, like that kind of thing. It's not supposed to be like yeah, it's like comic crazy realistic or anything like a comic book style. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Evan played it. He said he didn't think it was good. Well, I mean I didn't. I wasn't like looking forward to this as a big release, right, yeah, maybe that's maybe that's what I like. I just went in thinking I could waste six hours playing a game, and that's what happened. M I like the sound, the sound, and it was great, like the the weapon sounds, like the reloading and everything was very nice to the ears, like the clicking and the clacking. M I like that. Um, I only played the one character so far. Yeah, I killed vampires and like cultists, like the cultists. Yeah like that, the cultists. It's just another like bass builder oh uh not like not like you're building bases out of like wood and stuff like that. It's like you go to a camp site you um cleared of the enemies and it's like one of your home bases and then you can like fast travel to it and then you can get to your quests faster by going around to your safe houses. Yeah that's not like that zombie game we played like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, what was that called h State Decay Stay. Yeah yeah, it's kind of like that. Yeah, that was hard, but the vampires, like I'm just running around, I'm killing the cultists, like just blowing them away with the by shotgun. And then I just hear like these vampires like something flying around me, and like look around, do they turn into bats? I don't see them. No, I don't see them like whatever. They're like turned around. They're like right in front of my face. Jump scared me a couple of times. Yikes. But like you blow you blast them a few times with the shotgun. Then you have to stake them in the heart whenever they're like dazed, steak him. Nice. But like, I don't know, it was okay, it wasn't terrible, but I probably won't keep playing. It's just the same thing. I don't know. These game pass games just seem like filler. I don't know. Yeah, yes exactly, it's like a filler feeling. It's just like here you go, only made it the last games Is that that works? No? No, you can buy it. Okay, So there's no specific reason you're calling it a game pass game. It's just because it goes straight person a first party Xbox. Yeah, okay, what's the last game pass game that you actually were like, yes, let's cluts go, I'm gonna play this and you ended up playing it for like hours and hours and hours. Yeah, I can't even remember. I can't even remember, Like I've like we I was listening to Halo. You played Boys, Yeah, Halo the boys at Gaming Duo and they had a good discussion about this. It's just like they dropped the game right and if you have game Pass, you're gonna play it right, Like you're just gonna play it for a couple of hours, see if you like it. But there hasn't been a game where it's like I'm gonna get game Pass so I can play this game right now, Like one was that maybe Halo right. One was that two years ago, although I did that for High on Life and I only played it for like ten hours. I haven't finished it yet. Yeah, I didn't play that much either, Like I don't know. It's just like Starfield has to be the next big like people are wanting to, like people want to buy an Xbox killer app. Yeah right, it should be a killer at a lot of game pass games. There's a lot of really good like the first part, first party like indie titles, but I'm not into that. I feel like killer apps have kind of been You can't really have a killer app anymore, because no one's buying a seven hundred dollar console for one game. Yeah, because people, it's not like back in the day where you're talking by two hundred dollars Nintendo because you want to play. People are buying Nintendo's right now for Tears of the Kingdoms. Well they should be, but there I mean the switches and for their two or three franchises that they is worth it, right, Sony Games, I'm saying that there's no there's no Xbox game that's going and selling consoles. Well, just get an Xbox to game. You just get an Xbox to game. Yeah, you know what I mean. It's the all around. It's the family, it's the it's the kids, it's all around. Well round. You want some games, here's one hundred and sixty two hundred games with game Pass. Go. But Starfield should be the new killer app. I'm hoping because like imagine just to think of could take a second and think about the people who are going to be buying that on Xbox one, and and let's just have a moment of silence for those I only have an Xbox one. What is it? I only have an x Box One? How am I gonna play this is it gonna be on PC? No? You have a one X? Yeah, it's a one though, it's not a yeah, but it's not no. No, but I'm talking about Xbox one. One X is pretty one. It's still pretty bad. Like I tried to play Apex and it was like forty fps. It was horror. I don't know. Is it coming out on PC? Did we? It's on Steam? So I think so if you get it, obviously it's pretty sure. Yeah yeah, yeah, Windows and Xbox Okay, good? Well Dan? Are you still playing Jedi Survivor and Full More Hours on? Nathanel might have more to say about Oh. I was just gonna end with if Starfield is a big miss, which I highly doubt, then like I'm not renewing my game Pass, like there's no oh, I mean you are coming up, it's coming up. Wait? Why does Starfield come out September Tember? I think so my game my game Pass comes up for renewal end of September. I thought you pay for three years already. No, I did the year, oh or the two years. I didn't want to. I was too scared to do the three year because I thought it wasn't gonna work because that was the first too scared. But then once it worked, I was like, Okay, oh man, well, I mean I think it'll be good. I mean I think it'll be good. I am optimistic. I mean me too. Yep, and if it's not. Todd Howard released followed seventy six, which didn't have a great reputation when it first came out, but like, that was one game. He also gave a Skyrim An Oblivion and followed three. So put my faith in Todd Howard for sure. Todd. She's not my mom, Todd. But yeah, I've been I've been playing Fallen Order. Obviously Zelda Um, but Fallen Order, I've kind of just been cruising through. I realized I had it on a harder difficulty than I thought I did. I had it on I had it on Jedi Master, which but everything was right in the middle though, so I was like, okay, well that must be like the default, it's like the balanced. But then I turned it back as Jedi Knight, and I was like, oh, the Perry time goes up a bit, the incoming damage goes down a bit, and the outgoing damage, like my damage goes up a little bit. Like the time you have to react to a pay Yeah, like an actual perry. I think I was at first Jedi Master, but it sounds a bit intense for a default. But everything was in the middle, like like all equal, so I assuming that's the way they did. They developed it to be quite challenging, but I backed it off one and I found that it was. It's a lot more manageable, so I should be fine doing that. But it's been cool, man. It's like the graphics are beautiful, like I said, yeah, and I can't. I haven't come across anything. I haven't been able to beat yet the map after playing a handful of hours. The map systems kind of weird because there's like multi levels. I don't know if I talked about this last time, but there's multi levels and it's a three D map, which I'm not crazy about because I get fucking it's very disorienting. I like flat two D maps, like from the bird's eye view, so I know where I am and you know, and if it's a different level, then just tell me level two or some shit like that. The three D thing is so weird, and it's it's strange because it's like for a linear game, there's a lot of ways to go, and you start asking, You're like, well, what where do I go? Where does that take me if I go that way? Because you see a bunch of stormtroopers or something, and there's clearly another way that way, and I just like, well, I don't know which way to go. So it's very open ended and it's a little bit more complex than I would have thought. But it's turning out to be fine. I guess it's just was a little disordering when I first started, but I'm getting used to it because, like, you find shortcuts and stuff to find your way back because they they fucking send you way out of the map, but your ship is like on the loading dock way over here, and once you're done on that planet, that all the way back to your ship. Yeah. Yeah, And I don't know if there's a set way to get back to your ship or not. Bas travel too bad. It's not a star Trek. They can't beam you back. Yeah, that would be sweet. Well, then you might get infected by the Borg code, the Borg DNA code. Oh if the season if the transporters were hacked by the Borg. I don't think I've been playing anything else that's really just been that because again I've been pretty busy getting ready to leave and getting my ship done before I have to go. So I, yeah, I'm pretty fucking busy too. Yeah I have not. I've been playing APEX, been getting back into it. Season seventeen. Very cool, very cool season. The lots of changes, lots of changes, new firing range, new new legend, new character. I like him. I've been playing him a lot. It's very cool. But the ranked system, they keep changing the rank system, and it keeps They just they're trying to help players, and they just can't seem to do it. No, I don't think they are. They're just trying to. I don't know what they're trying to do. Because this is like three points like you can get you just play, like you may as well right now, play ranked instead of pubs because it well yeah why wouldn't you, Because they just they just all they did was set it so that the cost to get into a ranked match is the same for everyone, no matter what your rank is. So like you just get free free ranked play, like you only lose thirty five even if you're a fucking diamond. So like, if I'm like a in Diamond. We used to pay like fifty something points to get in in Platinum. It's like it was like forty something. But now all you have to do is make top ten and you're positive without any kills. No matter what rank you are, you may get top ten. I don't have to kill anybody. Dude, sweet pro player from a place for Energy NRG. He did a challenge, didn't fire his gun and got to Predator right like his just his teammates killed everybody for him. Yeah, oh yeah, and he got to Predator man Predator rank without doing any kills. Zero kills. He showed. He showed his thing, zero kills. I can get to Predator because I never kill anybody. You could. You just have to solo ce and rat and it's crazy hideaway. It's nuts, like they'll change it. They're they're gonna guarantee change it. So if anyone's listening, and play rank now and get your points while you can. Um. Other than that, Yeah, I've been playing Zelda and that's it. I think we were talking about Starfield. I got some news about Starfield, and I also got some news about Apex. It was funny that I wanted to explain it and talk about um, but we can get into gaming news end h. All right, so we're getting an Xbox direct followed by a Starfield direct on June eleventh. Now what are we expecting here? Wait? So they're doing a direct and then directly after the director doing a Starfield direct. Yes, correct, correct, correct on the direct, the correct direct. So we're gonna get some more gameplay footage. Yeah, so we're gonna see, like if the game's what three months away, we're gonna see good. Like there should be a good trailer here. I'm hoping yes there were. That disgruntled Jander is going to be eating his words. Yeah? Wait better, oh something that's yeah a month. Yes, so we're gonna we're gonna see what the fruits of their labor hopefully are here. And um, they released the ESRB rating. Did you hear this? The ESRB rating revealed some dialogue from the game following sharing of your bed, Following the sharing of your bed, and it includes I'm all forgetting a little wild, but next time, let's try it without the jet packs. Oh, jet pack sex, the jet pack sex in Starfield? Nice? Talk about seeing stars who that was amazing? These are nice? These are quotes from the game, so that time they put some bangage in there. Yeah, what are they gonna do? Black out the screen? It's not gonna be like Cyber. Oh yeah, yeah, maybe I doubt I don't think it'll be as a graphic as Cyber, that's for sure. Um No, yeah, I don't think so. But yeah, I thought that was funny, the jet pack thing. This makes me remember that. Hang on, do you remember that that Todd Howard AI thing I sent you where he's like talking about wanting to have sex in in He's like getting really graphic. Maybe that wasn't actually Ai just describing the sexual I thought it was really person I was like get ramped up, like yeah, it's just like WHOA escalated very quickly. All right, Well, I'm looking forward to that. But we'll see what happens. I mean, yeah, they've got to I think they've got to blow our minds with this, with this Xbox Direct, and not only the Starfield but the Xbox Direct. They got to show something else too. There's gonna be something like they're they're walking a thin line here, I think. But that's the thing, Like it's not going back, right, They'll just keep throwing games on game Pass and people will just keep subscribing because there's one hundred and fifty games to play, you know what I mean. They're just like, oh, yeah, I'll get games. There's gotta be something I can play, exactly, and there is something that someone can play on game Pass. There's all there's one hundred and fifty games to play or whatever how many there's there's gotta be there's something to play. Yeah, game Pass, Yeah sure, I mean yeah. I mean if you don't have a library of games of other games and you're a fresh user, what about do you guys think that hype though, is like a huge part of what game you want to play at any given time. Like, like, I'm not gonna play any of those game Pass games because there's there's no hype. There's no buzz around them making me go, I really really want to try that hype makes me want to play a game, and like hype right, like because that's right, because um, what's the new one? Call Survivor came out? Yeah, I was like, oh damn, I want to play Fallen Order. It made my scope target on fall in Order. But now Starfield's coming and so everyone's gonna want to play that everyone obviously wants to play that because the hype that's coming out, it's very highly anticipated. But like, who's going to play Game Pass games if we're not talking about there's no dialogue about, there's no conversations about. There was a few games that I thought, Okay, I remember now that I asked the question, what was the last game you you actually played and finished on Game Pass? For me, it was Requiem, the first Requiem game. I played the whole thing. That was a while ago, but I played it. I downloaded it on a whim. I played the whole thing and it was really good. I haven't played the second one yet, but I mean that's one. But I mean, well, I'm sure there are some games that you know, there's conversations about and some hype, but a lot of them I go through the I just went through I don't know when that was last week or something like that, and I kind of just like scrolled through them all and I was like, I don't see myself playing any of these again. Maybe the Plague Tails, because there was buzz around them when they came out and I want to really try them. Oh sorry, Plague Tail, Yeah, not Requiem, Requim is a second one, right, yeah, okay, yes, plague Tail, sorry, plague Tail Innocence and then Requim or something like that. Yeah, like I'm looking right now on game Pass. I mean, it's all in d ship. That's why I listened to One Hour, One Decision. Yeah podcasts. They played for an hour, and let you know, they played for an hour. They tell me, I'm like, no, next, you got Yakuza, the Yakuza games on here. Yeah, Yakusa Nino Kooney too. Yeah, I had the first one on Switch. Actually, I've been kind of wanting to. But again, now we have Zelda, so Persona Persona five, like that's a big one. Yeah, but that's the fucking massive game. Like all these games are so long, yeah, so fucking long. Yeah, all right, all right, well I had moving on, moving on here, I saw a funny little an article about apex respawn says. They said a single line of code was behind the elusive audio bug. You know how I complain about the audio in these games, in these Battle Royale games. It's not just this one. It's just it's hard. Maybe it's hard to do, and this will give us a little insight on the development side. Okay, So what happened was there were audio events that were just not right, not happening, not being delivered to the client, and they found it was because of the new gun, the Nemesis, that whenever the server was acting like whenever it was holstered, it was still playing audio events or still registering audio events as if it were out and being used. But it's just hidden to the user, right, It's kind of like in the background, but it was still there, and that fills up a buffer of audio events that there's a limit on right on the server. So per frame, there is a climate of one hundred and twenty eight audio cues that are allowed to be delivered per frame. Okay, so when that happens and you have all these they said it was happening in high end lobbies, so people with high end PCs at high frame rates. So because of the frame rate is so high, it's happening so many times per second that it's just leaving other audio things out, like footsteps, like grenade grenade bangs. So, yeah, when did the Nemesis come out last season? Okay, but they've been having these issues since the dawn of time, I mean, but it still rings truth. It's like if so many things are happening, and if you're playing at a super high frame rate, the buffer can fill up. This happened to me zone all the time. I found, like there's air strikes happening, you can hear fucking shit on the other side of the map. You just hear boom boom, boom boom. Yeah. Yeah, and it kind of sounds like footsteps and you're like, why am I hearing all this fucking shit, Like it's nowhere near me? And then someone is literally right behind you, silent, and you die because they're on your fucking heels. They're literally breathing down your neck and you can't hear them. Like, but this explains kind of why that happens sometimes. And I thought it was pretty interesting and it gives you a little bit. It gives you a little a little scoop into how how the servers work, how the you know what I mean. It's very interesting. Yeah, um, how do they fix that? They just said it was one coat and they said they just had to remove the line of coat that at that for the Nemesis that acted like that was rendering those those audio things. Even though so it was holstered. If you I guess I wouldn't. Can you put the can you put a frame? What if you went and said only sixty fps? Yeah? Next, well, it depends how many people on the server are running it framel right, because it's the server, um a per frame per frame because the server is rendering one frame like you're rendering it locally, but it's also rendering it on the server side and they have to sink it. Right. So so if it's all a bunch of people are running at one hundred and eighty fps and they're all using a Nemesis, Yeah, like the servers, it's like nothing, no audio, like no audio on anybody? Like, what is that? That's weird? That was weird? Um? What about the Microsoft activisition deal could still go through? Apparently after the appeal, Microsoft agreed to licensing deals with various cloud streaming companies to offset their concerns that they had for originally Kai boshing it and also the EU well when we were making the notes, is expected to vote for the acquisition, which will help Microsoft's appeal because it was what it was only the UK, right, the UK is in the EU though, no, that's Brexit. I think they left well, Activision hired the Queen's lawyer, the royal lawyer or former anyway, So they mean business, Does he have one of those white wigs on? They do that here too, Yeah, but no, apparently they hired the queen's old lawyer, the royal lawyer, So I mean they want this to go through. I wanted to me too. I think it would be cool. I think it would be cool. But I pre ordered my Diablo fo now so ordered on both PC and PS five, So it doesn't matter to you anymore, it doesn't matter to me anymore. All right, Well, I think that's all we got for gaming News. A little quick things there that was pretty fun. I had a little thing to talk about that I just very briefly because I couldn't really I couldn't really believe it. I don't know. Maybe you guys have heard of this, but did you guys know that the Xbox series s can apparently run out of v rama? Do you guys know this? Has it happened to you? Why am I thing crash known on yet? Okay? Because somebody posted on Reddit with the title apparently the serieses can run out of v RAM and they uploaded a photo of their television with the an Xbox air message that's said out of video memory, trying to allocate a rendering resource. Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory. Try lowering the resolution and or closing other applications that are running. Like I was pretty baffle. I think this is probably with a lot of people doing the quick resume shit and not rebooting their consoles because it like occupies it still it still loaded in. Yeah, it could be four pots up in the backgrounds. Like it's like people who have like Google Chrome tabs. Yeah, exactly, it's like water onloaded to somebody's computer and they have like the Chrome tabs. Are like they're like, what are you fucking doing, you idiots, these fucking Chrome tabs? Yeah, that would make sense. Okay, so maybe it's a what do they call that, quick boot, quick resume, quick resume feature? Okay, that makes sense, I guess. But I was like, what's the sty PC. That's just the Windows It's just a Windows box Windows like a net book. Anyway, I thought that was funny, so I wanted to share because I'm wondering if you guys had heard about this before. I haven't seen that. That's funny, all right, do you want to move on to today's topic. We're gonna talk about some Zelda. Yeah, let's get into it all right. Today's topic, ladies and gentlemen, The Legend of Zelda The Tears of the Kingdom, a sequel to the Breath of the Wild, one of the most, if not the most anticipated games of the year, perhaps the most for Nintendo fan boys. Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. We'll break down. We're gonna break down the different aspects of the games that we've experienced so far. Share our impressions after how many hours we got? How many hours you got? Actually I didn't check. Come around six or seven? Yeah, I didn't think I've got like eight, around eight, Like I'm at very fifteen, maybe very busy. I had a wedding and then I headshots and then I had to sleep. Sleep sucks you to sleep seven to seven hours. I played four hours last night and then three today, so yeah, probably seven. Yeah, I'm around there too. I think I played all day yesterday. What day is it today? What day is it today? Where am I? I played for two hours at midnight when it came out, and then I played like all day yesterday. I probably have like fifteen plus hours. How did you guys like the just the intro of the game when it was fucking sick? Yeah, it was really how sick was that? It was very now she met she mentioned the calamity, So is this direct sequel? I think, so? Is this after we beat Calamity Gannon? And it's the same link not a copy link. No, it's the same for sure. I just don't know how that went through a teleport device. I don't think. I don't think so it's been there's no, I don't think there's any time indication yet, so because it might not be relevant, but yeah, it's definitely it's definitely after, and it's definitely the same, like universe, same ship. Yeah, it's direct sequel because she mentioned the calamity, so I'm assuming she was, And we're we're gonna try not to do like We're gonna try to do a non spoiler cast as well, right, That's what we talked about, of course, so we'll try our best to keep things. But anyway, Yes, but I think what was really cool about the intro in terms of the impressions, do you guys want to start with just impressions in general? Vibe that we all got from the game diving in Um. But that the intro of the game, like the cinematics, the first little inciting incident we'll call it, I think, really set the tone I have the v for this game. It introduces introduces kind of the antagonist too, which is yeah, he was saying, cool, Well I assume yea, so far. What was that say that? Again? It was tense, I said, it introduced the antagonist. Yes, okay, and we don't know currently who it is, but you're assuming it's who we assume it is. Yes, well it's the demon King quote unquote whoever. Yeah, Yeah, that was so fucking sweet. That was really I was like, well, this is intense, this is like sick, this is dark. Yeah. I was definitely darker. I was like, it's definitely darker. Yeah, definitely, And it's what I was waiting for. I was like, nah, we're talking give me some of that that danger. I want some of that danger, that edge in these games a little bit more, you know. That's that was fucking cool as creepy, and it was like, that's what we're talking about now we're cooking. Yeah, it started off very very cool, very cool without spoilers of course, we're, um, this is where it kind of starts the story. We don't and I'm fifteen hours in and I'm honestly like, there's not I know of what is happening now that I just finished the first dungeon. I just did the first dungeon after figure was the dungeon long. Here's the thing. The setup of the dungeon was very long. Okay, okay. Now we had these guys talking about they are teasing that there would be traditional dungeons in the game and that they'd be huge, But like I didn't see that. I like, I just finished real dungeon yet, Yeah, that's possible. I just did the Water Temple though, like I what you believe to be the water Temple? It said water Temple, do you believe? I mean, it wasn't even really a dungeon. It was it was almost less of a dungeon than like the Divine Beasts were, so like, I'm not really still it still took me a while, but it's because like, as part of the main story, it's just they send you off, it's go go investigate this, you know, It's like okay, and then they give you four points on opposite ends of the fucking earth. Yeah, yeah, yeah, So it took me. Now, it took me forever to get there. And then when I get there, there's this big like it's another mission, and it's like another it's like a quest line if you will, and you have to like finish it, and it's got all these layers. Then you get sent to the dungeon. And then you have to do the dungeon. Good, you know what I mean. It's good because comparatively with Breath of the Wild, but it wasn't really a dungeon. It was just the island in the sky and you had to do a bunch of things by a boss. So I'm like, this isn't really a traditional I like that. I wasn't back in the old days. I wasn't a fan of getting so claustrophobic in large dungeons and like, get that sick feeling I get, I get like sick feeling, and I get warm. Do you ever get that feeling you're sweating? Yeah? Yeah, I get in here long enough, I'm like, yeah, oh yeah, you just hate that feeling of being stuck and like, oh where do I go? Yeah? I get warm and I'm like I have to put it down, Yeah, and then never play it for six more months. That happened a lot in in um No Links Awakening and the Super Nintendo One Linked to the Past, Link to the Past. Yeah, I always got that warm feeling. And I'm like, because I was in the dungeons for too long or something, you got the dungeons sweat the crazy because you guys like play those old ass Zelda games and these are the first sell the games. I'm really really playing and really loving. It's just like, it took me this long to get into Zelda, and it took Breath of the Wild to do that, and now Tears of the Kingdom. Crazy that you guys were playing these little fucking two D sprite Zelda's and wild. Breath of the Wild was big, like the Four Divine Beasts. They were big dungeons right in the old ones. I think they were perfect lengths. In the old ones, it was like three dungeons. And then remember Liken Linked to the Past was I think three dungeons in the in the Top world and then like seven dungeons in the in the Shadow world or something like that. All the keys or something you had to get like there are a ton of dungeons, but you have to get some crystals or something like crystals. Yeah. Yeah, there were a lot of dungeons you had to go do. It wasn't like four dungeons and then Yeah, but I mean they're shrines in these and it's the gameplay loop is basically identical to Breath of the Wild. You know, you go do your shrines, you get your orbs, increase your hearts to do you know, main quest whatever. Yes, exactly the same. Yeah, so you guys don't want to talk about the Zone I the Zone I who we believe what? Because I'm a bit confused. Maybe you can clear it up for me. So based on the tapestries or the cave things, right, these were like god beings. They came down and banged a bunch of high highlands and then their mixed breeds were what rules highly it now? Right? Yes, that's my understanding. So now Zelda has powers because granncestors banged these Zonai people or these goat people. Yeah. That the royal family, the first royal family of high Rule was descending was descended from um the Zone I, as far as my understanding goes, Okay, I thought the zone and I were was the first king high rule? Yeah? He was, well that was yeah, yeah, but then he started still created that was that was the foundation of the High But like Zelda comes from a lineage of mixed god yeah, I think so why she probably has hence why she probably has this power. Yeah, that was cool without saying two to too much, but that was very cool intro again already in terms again, in terms of first impressions, I'm already feeling more story from this game than I was Breath of the Wild or complexity, more depth, um and and I feel like it's how many Zelda games did they put at like Acerda time. I don't know what you have, what you guys would say about those old games because I can't comment, but I was thinking about that today and I was like, man, did they have like does the did the Zelda creators? Does Nintendo have a lot of experience with telling Zelda stories or have they all been pretty simple? Like not nothing? It's like, you know what I mean, that the last episode when then we were talking about when you're remember the stories never really that right, like that betric that intricate, you know what I mean. It's like, oh, yeah, I feel like this is the first game, but really wasn't just in the first six seven hours I play, where I'm like, Okay, that's cool. It feels like a game more if you feel more invested in. I felt in the seven hours I've been playing, I felt more invested in the story than I did. Yeah, Breath of While, because I don't have to go look for fucking memories it's there. Yeah, it's set the game up for me at the beginning. It's telling me the narrative, the beginning of a story, and I'm mixed in. I'm already there. I've been living in this world right like it's happening. It's definitely more story driven than the last one. That in their defense, they tried something with the memories and Breath of a While. It was an interesting way to do it, but it didn't hit home with a lot of people. I was fine with it, I guess, but it definitely made it feel like you were kind of detached from the story. Yeah, you were very alone. There was not a lot of characters in scenes with you because it was just you finding memories and like just little snippets of that that cinematic and then boom, your back alone in this gigantic world, just fighting things and doing things yourself. And yeah, but this game, it feels like you're working with characters and you're you're trying to unravel mysteries with characters. Yeah. Well so the one very storyline that I did, that's exactly what happens. It's like with the Zora storyline. You you're with the Prince there at side on and you're you're doing the quest with him. Basically he's a big part of it. So nice, so you'll get more of that. It's it's good. It was it was good. It was really good. All right. Well, let's talk about the visuals next. The visuals. Okay, now, it's just gonna ask you guys something. Okay, what were you expecting coming into this one. Were you just like, oh, it's gonna luck the exact same? Yeah, right right, pretty much? Yep. But like, if you think about it, Birth of While was built on WU and then ported to the switch. So they did what they could on the WU ported to the switch, and there was probably a lot of headroom left on the switch for the switch hardware. Let's say, okay, but this game was built for the switch, now, did you notice like there's way there's more like it's filled out more right, Like there's more vegetation, there's more this, there's more that. Obviously there's floating islands in the sky. You can see the whole fucking map when you jump off the starting island. It's unbelievable. Yeah, so cool to me. It looks the same, But I don't I've never played it on switch, right, so I played it on oh true, oh right, on the emulator, but it looks pretty much the same played I played it on the beep to beat that out man. But yeah, it looks obviously very similar with a nice like coat of paint, a very beautiful colorful. It is very colorful. It's very very vibrant and like I even found almost when you're in the first the sky island, it was almost very uh exposed. Even I was like, gess something up with my TV. I'm gonna check my Like it was just very washed, very right. Maybe that's when they're using that as a maybe to mask some things and so they can get keep it at I don't know, but yeah, I think something's going on. There's something on because there's a ton of alias. Oh yes, shit Ton compared to Breath of the Wild. Oh really, well, actually it's funny you say that, because I'm gonna just go with a very alias. I was sitting in front of the TV. You know how I sit three feet from the television to play games. Well, I thought I would see that for some reason with Tears of the king and I was like, I'll fuck, I don't I'm not ready to sit on the couch yet, So I'll sit in front of the television with the chair and I'll load it up. So I started it and I was like, oh, it's like, I don't know if I can do this. So and I was like, I don't remember Breath of the Wild looking as bad. I loaded up Breath of the Wild right after starting Tears of the Kingdom because I had to find out. I was like, did this get down it somehow? So I loaded at Breath of the Wild look the exact same to me. I looked around. I was like, okay, I'm noticing all of the same shit. And then as soon as I sat on the couch, I was like, oh, that's better. So I don't think Breath of Wild was was better in terms of it's alias thing. I still noticed a lot of the same stuff. I tried to, like look at specific things. So I did a little test and I don't I inconclusive for me. Well, even al i'man noticed she's like, this looks very jaggy. Yeah, it's looks very jaggy compared to what I was used to in Breath of the Wild. Yeah. But what I did also notice is there's way more detail in everything, like on the textures and the rod close to the trees, the tree trunks, all that stuff. It's when it's close to you, there's a lot more detailed than I remember they're being in Breath of the Wild, which could be because of the swift being it developed on. Yeah right, yeah, but like visually it's it's it's cooler also because of the verticality and like your umping off of the sky and you can see everything. It gives me chills jumping off. Yeah, yeah, it's awesome. So it's a cool new view of the world seeing everything. Um, what about the performance, I mean, have you noticed anything, oh something, do we know or do you know if there's any confirmation of HDR on this Why the fun would ever be HDR on a switch game? Well, I don't know. No, there's no way, no doubt it, okay, because like they're so good. And I was just wondering because it's like it's very like pop what are you playing it on your television or the switch itself? Both? Okay, it does look nice on the oh lad I can, I can, and it looks it looks very nice on the switch. I'm not playing it on old I'm playing it upstairs because Pam's playing I'm playing Diablo on the downstairs on the old. Nice. But I mean it looks fine on the onny on my like just the greens and the blues when you're entering the shrines. Yea, oh my god, it's beautiful. There's these sunsets that I don't remember them putting in in Breath of the Wild. Yeah, these really red sunsets come up. I'm like, yeah, oh yeah, I think it's crazy that they have this huge This game is huge, ye like, and they were able to do that, and it's massive. The sky level, the ground level, and there's there's like a subterranean level that's a whole world as well, so three levels which a verticality all happening. Yeah, And isn't that the reason why they said Scarlet and Violet was so shitty because it was like their open world and and you know, the frame rate was all. It's like, that's not an excuse, like look at this, Yeah, as Nintendo not helping these people, although they only had like a year to make that game. I guess, so it's it's different. I guess that's comparing apples and oranges. But let's go talk. Let's talk about building shit. Okay, this is I spent a lot of time wasting my time building things when I probably should have just been doing the main quest. I was making a hoverboard. I tried to make a hoverboard. I tried that too. It flew me right off the map with with fans. Yeah, I have a short. I'm gonna put it. I'm gonna put it on a short. I have the ill put it up tomorrow or something. But yes, it was bad. I'm like, yeah, this is gonna work. I put them evenly spaced, one in the middle, five fans on the bottom of a board, just a very simple hoverboard. I'm like, all right, let's do it. I knock it to start them up, and I jump on and it's like I'm like yes, and it's like I'm floating away and then it just goes completely sideways. And were you standing on like just a little bit off center maybe, because that's the only way you can steer this ship so far. Yeah, right, just like the bird, the bird. I love that thing, the glider. It's very cool. I put like multiple gliders together. Yeah, and just got this big plane. So you see those like little places where they give you building materials. Right with the wheels, I think that's for like pulling on your horse maybe or something. It's gotta be because no, like they don't have axles, right, there's no axel item yet that I that I've run. The wheels don't turn, you're just dragging a wheel. Why the fans didn't work? Yes, okay, because I tried to make a wagon with fans and it didn't do anything, didn't move because whenever you whenever you put the wheel on the like I was using sticks, okay, because I was trying to I was trying to engineer an axle, right, right, So when you put the I put a first, I put a tree on a wheel or a tree, and then two wheels like a tree trunk. Yeah, and I could push it down the hill, right, Okay, but there's nothing stopping the tree trunk. Yeah, but it could just turn. It just just rotated. Just use the tree. Then when you glue, when you glue the tree trunk with the two wheels onto a board, it doesn't go anywhere, right because the tree trunk doesn't turn. Yeah. Right. So I'm like, how could I build an axe gonna have the tree? You're gonna have to design a control arms or shock towers without trucks. So what I try to do is I made like a leaf springs canals. I don't know how you would say it, but like I put two boards or put two like two by fours or four by fours, whatever the fuck they are, like the beams two beams, and then and then I put a little board on the bottom, so it was like just like a hole. Yeah, and so I put then I put the tree trunk on top of that, right, And then I tried to build it so it was in like this contraption where it would be an axle and stay in this contraption attached to a board bushing that's called a bushing bushing. I spent like two and a half hours trying to create this and I was like, I can't trying to push it down the hill. And then I was like, oh, I need more sticks or I need more um four by fours like the beams. So I run down the hill to go get more. I come back up the hill. All my work is gone, vanished, disappeared. What oh so it disappears attached too much? Leave If you leave your shit and go, I guess a certain distance and you try to go back to it. This isn't Star citizen man, This isn't a persistent world. This is there goes two and a half like hours like I was trying to get. I was what I was trying to do, was you know at the on the sky island, at the very beginning, when you have to go back to to the Temple of Time. Yeah, from the big tall you have to take the plane. Yeah, that's when I was experiment off the rat off the trail or the off the little track. Yeah. Yeah, So I was experimenting there. So I tried it first, and I was like, oh, it goes too far. Like I'm standing on the front of the plane trying to get it to nose dive to get down to the temple. But you're supposed to jump obviously, but I wanted to like go down there with the plane. And I was like, hmm, it's like I'm not heavy enough to point this downward. So I put a fan on the top on the nose of the plane and hit it. Yeah, and I hit it while I was in the air, and it was like and it was and I went straight up and I started climbing because I was just going straight down and I was like climbing around and it just started flipping and flying and then I fell off. That is really cool. The first thing that happened. I was laughing my ass off. I just stood on the I just stood on one of the wings and then we just spiral down. Oh yeah, okay, I'll take a piss. Just how I came back. I did a huge dive, just freaking right into the water from you know, okay here question, how would you guys? Because I was trying to find out a way without using a fan to get the bird off a ledge properly. Yeah I don't think you can. Oh you have to have a cart. There's a cart, okay. Yeah, But I found a way. Well, I found a way. I just I tried I couldn't get onto the plane fast enough. Like I put on the ledge and I would let go and then try to jump on. But by the time the bird like gets over the edge, it's already nose diving. To jump on it is like kind of difficult. So what I tried to do is I'd hold the bird flat off the edge, let go, and then jump And I landed on it that way, and I was able to get around that way. So you can't. You can't let it sit on the ledge and then nose dive off. You have to like drop it off the ledge and then jump on it while it's falling flat. Oh my god. Yeah, what about rewinding it. I haven't played around with rewind a lot. Actually, you can use it on pretty much everything, because I was, yeah, I haven't played a lot around with that too much. Well, later in the game, there's carts that are zon ZONEI devices, like actual flat carts that you can just drop the bird on top and you put a fan. Yeah, it will literally take off from a flat ground. It'll go up into the air. You could literally make an airplane. I found them in the caves underneath underground. I just want to put the most fans that I can on something. Eventually, I'm gonna do it. I'm just gonna put like, you know, twenty fans on something and see and see how fast I go, See what the kind of thrust I can get off of that fucking crazy like that the thing the video I sent you guys when I was making the Sweet Raft, the first crafting thing that I did in the game. You gotta make a raft to go across. I'm like, oh, I'm gonna make a mega raft. I had like twenty logs. I went and cut down all the trees in the area to get the logs of it. I made it. I put all the fans. I put three fans on a big log vertical on the back of the raft, and I was like, this thing's gonna fly. And I went to activate the fans, and I guess you can't do that with a fucking axe or it just chops all your wood down. So it literally just destroyed my raft that I spent fucking half an hour making. I'm pretty sure I've hit them with axes before. But then I didn't have as much wood on board just even with all even with all those fans, like you would have had to have massive battery power. That wouldn't have even went far because you have all that weight that those three fans were trying to push. Maybe like your your power would have drained like within two seconds, you wouldn't even got across the pond. But you can increase your power. Oh how do you do that? You just used the item going down inventory inventory? Yeah, yep, you have to use again. Is it that I have a one crystallized energy. It's like the prism, the little energy, the round things, the little round things, they're like use them. You have to go press start going your inventory, find them. Use You can't do the quick quick thought. Yeah, you have to do it from the inventory. I think you just do it a bunch of times and it just creates a little more battery icons stack up damn. Okay. Yeah, I've been having fun with that for sure. It's a it's hilarious and I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of crazy shit people start making. It'll be. Yeah, we haven't seen anything yet. We haven't seen anything yet. Like it's gonna get some redunkean. Yeah, it's gonna We did see one the giant wooden man with the penis, the fiber and penis. I'm I'm kind of upset. I didn't think about doing that. How oh should we talk about these? Uh? I mean briefly anyway. I would just love to say that I am having a lot more fun already with the new abilities than than I ever did in Breath of the Wild. U useful. They're just a lot more useful in Tears of the Kingdom. Forging things together, I mean, and basically ultrahand does the same shit that yeah, grabbed it did or the magnet did anyway, So it's kind of a combination of everything, except now you can combine things, which is sweet. I'm using that fucking sand all the time instead of just being like, oh, how do I get up there? And what I also found, I'm always looking for can I yes, yeah, I want to get up there? Where can I do it? Which is good because you got to train your brain. Otherwise you're gonna miss all these opportunities and probably waste a shitload of time if you're not seeing them. But I find myself, because I know how Nintendo works and these games, I find myself thinking like, oh, I have to get to this, I have to get from A to B and because it's Nintendo and Zelda and Breath of the Wild or Tears of Looking. It doesn't matter. There has to be some clever way for me to get there. Right, I look over there, it's a fucking staircase, and I'm like wasting my time trying to figure out how to get from A to B because I'm thinking I'm over complicating it. Right, I'm like, Oh, they's way to do this, and I gotta do this. I look over there's a staircase. I'm like, oh, okay. There were many times where I was like, I think they want me to do this, but I'm just gonna climb this wall and yeah, and I end up just climbing. I'm so glad. I'm so glad I don't have to climb much anymore. Like there was one where there was a mine shaft and like a cart and you have to like create a cart and like a fan to go into this mine and there's a big trees. I was like, I'm just gonna climb this wall. I'm not gonna do this. So I jumped off a tree, got on the wall, and I just climbed up and I got up there. I didn't have to do any of that, but sometimes you can't. That's the thing. You can't climb like icy cliffs because he slips and ships, so they force you to use the tool. Yeah, it was funny mining a mine cart. A mining cart was like we zipping on this little track. There's a couple of cool things and some of the shrines too that have like tracks like that and you have to like use you have to create like a little Gone to Law almost yeah, with fans, which is really cool. I really had fun doing that. Um, but yeah shrines. Yeah, similar to the other game, like you have to use your abilities to yep, but this one is like more like I like the fun so far. It's build like you build shit to get through the shrine. Yeah. Yeah, it's way more way more of my style, like building shit instead having more fun figuring out fucking puzzles. I hate puzzles, even the little shitty puzzles that were in the other shrines. Like yeah, I was like, oh, I don't even want to think to do these, you know what I mean? These are cool because it's like, oh, how can I build something to get up there? Right? How do I build something to do this? And then use rewind you know what I mean, Like, I love that that is so and there's probably more than one way. Yes, Whereas they gave you the materials, just the one they usually give you the materials, they're all on the floor there and I'm like, do I have to use this? Yeahtimes sometimes I don't even use the stuff that they put there, and I'm like, oh, I got this, I can do this this way exactly. Yeah, wave wave more fun in the shrines I've only didn't. I've only done like a handful so far. Like other than the beginning ones, I've done like three. I think I have one more to go before I can pray and get a cart container because I want to get started on that because I cannot stand having like four hearts for like I have to have. I haven't found many shrines. I haven't really Yeah, that's also things. Been seeing them all I don't know, but I've just been getting to them. Yeah. So I haven't even just sort of horse. I've been playing fifteen hours many Yeah, man, I haven't caught one. I just saw my first horse. I saw my first and I ran them over with my like cart thing. My bird cart is flying an airplane into a horse attach it to the horse. But when I jumped off the island. Note you can see the shrines so you can like write stick and then mark them. Yeah, but I'm out of I'm out of pins. I got pins all everywhere already, So I'm like, pin, they should they should make more pins? What they should do? Do you guys? Do the flame shield yet? Yeah, it's the best. I have one. I don't remember where I got it. I used it for those weird fucking worm things that's about. Yeah, like you put the dragon face on your shield and whenever you're guarding, yeah, explose fireh The worm things are gross. Those are fucking gross What I am doing? Actually, what I realized is I totally and they had this in Breadth of the Whild, but I guess I just always forgot because it had been ages since they taught me. But like all the combat moves, like the dodging, like flipping backwards and jumping, like I've been actually doing that this time in this game. Yeah, so combat has been a lot cooler because you can do your fury rushes. And I'm like, man, I totally forgot these word thing breath of the while I was just hacking things, blocking hacking, but I'll be I don't even I don't even battle anybody anymore. I just keep using shields of flame heads on them, just burn everything I want to use. I use my a lot. I'm always out of arrows, like always, because you can attach the thing. You can attach things to your arrows too while you're shooting. So that's another fantastic feature to make them do different things like homing. If you attach that key swings or whatever, or the eyeball, the eyeball, they will home, or they fly farther with the wings on them. They'll Yeah, they'll have more attack power if you if you attached like some horns or whatever, both cobblin horns or whatever to them, which is cool. They're point. It still points, doesn't I notice I'm finding a lot more arrows and I don't have to go buy them like I've I've found like a hundred, Like it's crazy. I'm always looking for arrows always. Sweet. What about the controls? Now here's what I did. I'm using the eight bit do Ultimate Bluetooth controller. Oh yeah, and I have remapped the buttons a bit so I can remap. I'm using the back button on my right side for run, so I can easily run, like hold that down while pressing the jump button on the top right instead of holding run at the bottom face button and like reaching across the face to the top button. You know what I mean, because it's B and X right B is run to run and jump stick in. No, No, this isn't an FPS man, it's B and X, which is annoying because reaching across the face. I hate that. We'll do that too. I also remapped A to B so the select or interact button is not A on the side. I can't stand that. On Nintendo on Switch, it's the exact opposite as every other console. Yeah, everything else is the bottom button x A X on PlayStation A right, but on Switch, of course, Switch gotta be different. They gotta get it, get you. It's the right button on the right. I fucking switched those first thing. Boom, So now everything bottom button is except interact Go back is the other button. With my ny x I Wizard controller, the big green A button is the middle bottom button, so it's that is the execute button. Oh damn, that's nice. I just think I haven't ever found that a problem because I don't play Switch as often as I play Xbox Riders, so I don't get into the the mindset of having to press the right button as opposed to the bottom button. I don't know. I've never really seen it as a problem, but that is kind of dumb now that I think about it. It is dumb. It is dumb. Fuck you switch, I switched that. I switched that friend, take that Nintendo. Yeah. Do you think they'll do like power lines, like ley line power lines like in like in Minecraft with switches they have that. You think it's gonna get Breath of the World. I mean, you can't create them yourself, but they're there. What I mean, ah uh, I don't know. I don't know what you're talking about. I don't even know what you're saying. Instead of whacking the fan to activate, I wonder if they oh using power like maybe a switch, because like you know those old dungeons in Breath of Wild where you had like the electricity power sources and you had to that would be cool. You had to like connect them. There's some of that, and there is a battery that I there's one instance that you had to like you have to put this little thing that you find on top of one of the power sources and it fills up and you take it and you bring it somewhere else to power something else. So it's like a little battery. So maybe maybe we'll see I don't know if you can power the zonaie devices with that, though, I don't think so. I remember back in Breath of the Wild I had there was one thing I couldn't figure out, Like I couldn't find out how to get the power from here to there because I was searching around, and I don't I think you needed like a little ball, a little metal ball that I couldn't find, because I think I had found it and I like dropped it or something and it was gone, Oh that swear the island. I don't remember. But what I did it was like you had to get power from one end of the room to the other. And what I did was I had a bunch of metal weapons and I just put them all on the floor and I connected one end. I think that's what you were supposed to do. I'm pretty sure. No, there's like little balls, yeah, electricity, yeah, but if I just made a little line of metal respawn metal weapons, well it might have respond. But I was stopped looking for it. I was like, I don't know what because I I remember using metal weapons too. I think I looked it up. I was like, what the fuck am I supposed to do here? I think I remember getting the same point and I was like, I don't have to look it up. And somebody was like, you could use like swords and shit. I was like, oh, is that that's what I did and that's not what you're supposed to do, but yeah, yeah I did that too. I don't know. I just put down a bunch of metal weapons and I was like, yeah, do you remember those? Wow? I would not have remembered those if you guys didn't bring that up just now never Okay, you got any leftover thoughts? Yes, so recipe book help Okay. I was actually they fucking listen to us. They listen to me. So I was gonna say, where is that a thing in Breath of the Wild. No, I don't remember that my grievance, my airing of grievances one of my tet peeves, and I noticed that it's actually yeah, and it'll record everything, like anything you create, it'll be recorded. And were welcome, thank you, Nintendo's thank you, like a better game I was like, Nathaniel's going to be pleased with that for sure, Like holy shit, yeah that is good. And then you go to the recipe. You go to the item and it's like view recipes and it shows you all the recipes that this item is in and you're like, uh, select recipe, hold all items, huh, put them in and cook it. Ah, Like the game is that much better now just because they did that. Also, portable cooking pots another thing. One time use only though, doesn't matter. I'm even forty, like everything you have. Yeah, even the one time is good though. Yeah, because like I'll be running around and I'll have like fifty mushrooms on me and six one cook only and they disappear. You can only cook one thing and then it's gone. Oh so like you put it down, you cook and it disappears. One meal, yeah, one meal. Still, Like if you're out in a bind in the middle of ore and there's no cooking and you're like I could use aamina whatever, right do you cook? Do you where do you make the elixers? Do you make them there? Monster parts, critters, critters, critters part critters and cook some critters and perch there And yeah, I threw a frog in last night with some apples. It was a dubious meal at best. Yeah. No, apple is not a no or a frog is not apple food food. It's an elixer. What do you guys? What do you guys think about the ore that new or mechanic I haven't used there, I have some I haven't used it. I went, what do you mean the new or mechanic I don't like? Or what's that or called zoni or oh yeah, I haven't processed any of it to do anything. So to get more battery power in your battery belt whatever the fuck is called, you need one hundred of those dark requires. Yeah, that seemed like a lot. Seems like yeah, because it's like a hundred of what of which things? The crystallized prisms? Okay, so I wonder that you used to increase the charge like on your belt, like your permanent charge, like your battery charge. Yeah, but are those the things that you click use on and it increases them? No, I don't know. These are in key items. Oh so you collect a hundred of these and it increases your battery power for like for like devices. Yeah, So it was like I'm gonna go down into the depths. I went underground, and I was I mind, like one hundred and fifty do this or shit, oh wow, which took me like a while because it's in pitch black and you have to like keep lighting your way until you find Yeah you could a light bulb. Well you could craft yourself a little a little meal that makes you glow m or that. Yeah, do that. So I got all my or I went back up there and like one hundred and fifty or only got me like thirteen of these fucking prisms and you need a hundred of them. Yeah, it seems like it's going to be a grind. Where do you create them? You trade the oar in to the robot dude who's working he's up in the sky or something. Yeah, okay, I know that guy. Yeah yeah, well I think there's more than him, So you trade him or create these pre gives you the prisms. Shit, man, I haven't done any of this. I only just now found like fucking koruk seed guy to increase my bage. What about those little shits? I can't get to my friend? What am I supposed to do with that? You can you attach him to the little wagon and pull him along or something, just carry them there. I was like bringing him a cart. I was like, get in the cart and he wasn't. Yeah, yeah, you could pick him up. Yeah, okay, I took I made one of the corrock fronds with the leaf and the tree, and I was like trying to like blow him away, and he was like and started like crying, and I'm like, it's like, okay, did you put him on You put him on a cart and tried to blow him. I just placed him in a cart and got on with him and was like and hit it and it and we went over together. So you don't have to attach him. You can just put him in the cart him up, like you can attach him. Yeah, you cant him. I just placed him in. But yeah, I didn't know you could alter hand him because it just seemed like a ridiculous thought. I was like, oh I can fucking pick him up with this okay, wow. Yeah. I literally carried him across a field just the hand to bud on the other. Okay. So far, like the first seven hours of this game, I am loving one more. Yeah, then I did breath. I'm enjoying breath of this more than breath of the Wild. God, like just the little things like now I haven't made a torch. I'm gonna go and I'm gonna try to make a torch. I found a torch. Yeah, I don't want to find a torch. I want to create a torch. Oh, I don't know if you can. I don't know if I wonder if they made it new? Can I find out? Can I put a flint on the end of the of a stick and whack it against the snow? Do you put that flaming flame breathing head on the end of a stick. That's a torch. It's just like right solved, torch solved. Like they took all of my bullshit grievances that I had and they put a little twist on it to like fix it, you know what I mean. Because I'm curious. Yeah, um, I made a bow, coblin arm, skeleton sword today. That was that did twenty five damage. That's like astronomically more than all my other weapons right now, Like wow, okay, I guess like the bone for a while, bone handle with the now just the arm. It was like skeleton arm attached to my sword. So it's like a big skeleton arm. I think my highest is like forty four damage. Just putting two things together, like I did the skeleton arm and I put it to one of those like blade pieces that you find from the robo. Oh yeah, and it makes like a sword with a bone handle. Man, there's some crazy things. There's some things that have like plus twenty five fuse attack power that you put on your weapons. So good, so far, it's so Yeah. I think it's just because it's more again, it's a lot of it combine, and I think the story element, how we talked about it just feels more like a game, feels more like a story, more involved, more characters. Because of that, and at the fact that it's like, you know, I'm not dealing with Calamity Gannon anymore. It's like new and it's fresh. Now there's new map up me and the yeah, and everything just feels a lot better, more fresh, more sunny, more new. But also you can still explore digging it and it's very very open. Yeah, you can go anywhere anywhere. Yeah, I don't know. I'm just I'm liking it a lot more. I like links hair, do you more? Oh man, it's so good. I have a hood and so I don't really see it. But yeah, guys, take a while. You know what I found? I found. I got somebody gave me a bolk goblin helmet, so it's like a disguise so I can like walk around with them and they won't attack me. I was like, what the hell is this? It makes you like like this and you like stand like them and they go up to your like m in Western Mark. Yeah, did you guys? How long did it take you to find a shirt? It was in your inventory? I think, what, yeah, no, there, I don't know if it was. Yeah. It was like, I don't have a fucking shirt on it's right to my inventory unless I got it. I don't remember like receiving it. But I looked in my inventory and it was already there, and I was like, what the hell? And I put it on. Love. I got it from a chest I love. I love the arm and the tattoos. I was like, where's my shirt? Like, where when do I get a fucking shirt here? You have too? Ended up getting the shirt in town. I bought it. The armor yeah, yeah that's what I have. The high roll tunic yeah, and shirt pants five hours. Well, I really like the archaic outfit it's a shame that it doesn't have that much. Like you can upgrade it you find the fairies. You gotta find the fairies, which I have no idea where they are. So I have to do that to upgrade my fairies. Because I take it right outside Kakarico. She might still be there. Okay, well, I haven't even been to Kakorrico Village yet. It's like one of my next quests. So like, I got a goal, and I think it's fairies. It's it's east of Kakarico Village, all right, just a little like road path, a little wooden path. Um. But yeah, the archaic armor is very cool. All right. So our initial impressions are thumbs up, very good. Yeah, yeah, so far better than Breath of the Wild. I didn't think it was all right there you puke it in your mouth, you doing, man, that's nice. Disgusting, but I'm so pleasantly, like, I'm so glad they fixed those little shits. I'm so glad. I don't know, I don't remember, like I loved Breath of the Wild when I first played it, but this has just been like, oh that's cool, Oh that's cool. Oh this that's cooler already. Um, I don't know, I just haven't. I haven't come across a lot of annoyances that I already have or probably already had. In Breadth of the Wild, the solutions are more any problem you might come across. I feel like in this game, the solutions are a little bit more obvious. It's like, oh, I can just do this and this and this. Are they obviously or are there more ways to get Yeah? Maybe both, maybe both, I don't know. But I am having a overall a better time playing this one for sure. YEA cool. Well, I think that's all. Then that's all we got to talk about. Really. I mean, we haven't played much more. We're gonna we're gonna play more. We're gonna you know, well, we'll see what happens with the story and uh and how we feel at the end. But I think it's going well. I can say there's a lot of story. After I finished the first dungeon, it gives you a good chunk and a history piece that tells you a lot. So I want to see what happens after beating like all of them, I have a feeling there's gonna be a lot of stories. So nice good. All right, we'll wrap it up. Then that's it for this week's episode.
