Hello everybody, and welcome to another episode of the gaming Bye. Hello everybody, and welcome to another episode of the Elder Trolls Gaming Podcast. If you are new in joining us today, we are three brothers who get together and talk about gaming. We also made talk tech, TV movies and other nerdy geeky stuff too. But today Daniel is a little bit under the weather, so he's here, but he might chime in when he has something to say, depending on how he feels. We also have a guest today, a new guest who has not been on the show before. You may have heard him in one of our intro episodes or intro for episode seventeen of the Old Trolls Gaming Podcast, fellow Canadian and YouTuber Jill from Bear Jill's Gaming on YouTube. Welcome Jill. Hello, So go on buddy. Thanks for having me, Yes, thanks for being here. Being here now, I call you Gillis because I don't like speaking French. Yes, do you mind if we call you Gillis for this episode? That's totally fine? Yes, Gilly? All right, I think Daniel has something to say here. How's it going, Gillis? Glad you can make it here? Gaming Podcast. Wow, it's very tough, very tough for him to say some stuff this morning, but he's struggling. Yeah, okay, hey Dan, glad to have you here. Thanks, thanks for coming out, Daniel. Yeah, oh my god. All right, So what have we got going on here? Boys? What have we got going on here? I'm on four hours of sleep. I woke up with a sore throat. Oh oh no, because you had four that's probably because you had four hours sleep, maybe you think maybe because maybe the outside the snow man snow was not going away. Especially when I get a like get a sore throat. I can feel it coming on, like the night before, like yeah, scratchy, this was like boom, sore throat when I woke up. So it's just dry. Yeah. I was wondering if I had Like I was sleeping on my back and going like yeah, and you drinking last night? Yeah, well there you go. Every time I have one drink or two drinks, I'm snoring my ass off and I wake up with the dry mouth. I could be it. Well, I'm hoping so, because I I wasn't really like, I didn't go anywhere. I don't really other than hockey, like and I don't think anyone was sick. But I'm not making out with people. I only them. Yeah, and then all their sick water rinses off their body and onto your feet and then I and then I licked my toes. Yes, in your toes like a dog. I don't know that. That's where they sweat through their paws and their their panting and their paws. I didn't do the panting thing. I didn't know about the pause. You didn't know pause. That's why they like. That's why Huck digs his feet into the ground after he takes a piss. Yeah, my dogs do that too. Yeah, because their glands are in their feet and they're marking their territory with their with their glands. And I thought they're just spreading their scent. Now there's an actual gland that they're trying to get out. Wow, I'm a dog owner and expert. Here, okay, I think we're all we're all dog owners, yes, all dual dog owners. Yes, yes, right here there there. I gave them some toys to stay busy slightly off camera. Okay, daddy alone, please, he's gonna he's gonna come in with his chicken and bother you. Oh gosh, I give him one that doesn't squeak. I was like, okay, I guess go go over there please. I love the ones that like wink like a pig, like yeah, they're not a super annoying, they're like gold. I just want to stay. I want to state here that the merch store is open everybody. We are able to get it going ironed out and it's it's out there and we've got a few orders in and it's fantastic. Gill Us, your actual shirt came in great, it's here right now. That's from the older that's a test shirt from the stock. So I'm gonna once he once we hang out again, I'll give him his actual shirt. It's very nice. The cotton quality is much better than that one. This is a This is like a polyester blend. I don't think so full that one's a fruit of the loom like one cheap, like a cheapy cotton. It feels it feels fine, yeah it. I don't like the ones that I I don't like the one that I got. The shoulders are really weird too. It's like this is it doesn't rest on my shoulders and the neck stays like the neck part is like elevated off of my shoulders for some fucking reason. I'm like, this is men's clothes, right, It's just they don't it either. You either it's super toy or it's or it's a poncho. I'm hoping the hoping the shirt that I ordered fits well, yeah, we ordered. We put it in a little tiny order, uh for us where I've got the Luigi shirt coming, yes, me too, and Jonathan has the Mario shirt yeah, the red one. Yeah. So that's two new designs. We got two new designs on the store designed by us, by me actually uh yeah, well the idea is, yes, ideas ideas were mine. The ideas were mine. The design was mutual for one of them, and then I designed the other one. But we got the lawn Lawn Ranch Milk Maid, the Milk Maiden, Tavern Wench Lawn Lawn Ranch. So fans of Zelda, fans of Zelda, mid nineties Zelda, I guess what late nineties Zelda would get it. Maybe the OK Arena up time fans, the the Majors mask fans will get it. I think it's really cool. And then the other one is the Mario and Luigi Plumbing Co laying pipe since nineteen eighty three, which is the first appearance of Luigi nineteen eighty three Mario Brothers, So that's why I did that. Oh and the other one, the Lon Run Ranch has established nineteen ninety eight because that was when ok Arena of Time came out and apparently that was the first appearance of Lawn Lawn Ranch. Hell yeah, they look good. They look good. I ordered quite a few, so we'll see. Also, Kelvin from the Gaming Duo ordered a shirt and it looked fantastic. We posted it on our Twitter and his crest, the crest of the same logo that Gillis is wearing, is massive. Now, when I ordered Gillis's shirt, the crest isn't that massive. So I'm waiting to see Pam's dad's shirt to see if his crest is the same size as Kelvin's and then that will that will make that will let me camera Rickery. I think it might be camera Chickory White angle with his with his chest closer to the camera will make the crest look bigger. But but yeah, Daniel actually has something to say about the merch. I gotta say you two, the shirts and hoodies are looking pretty rad. I really like the last two that you made. The lawn Lawn Ranch milk made very hot, very sexy. I like that, and also the M and L Plumbing co baseball team. That's very Jonathan. I could see Jonathan buying that at a store. A very cool. Oh, thanks, Daniel, Yeah, it is very me there you go. Wow, you sound really cool today, Daniel. I have to say you sound much much cooler than normal. Thanks Daniel, Yes, we did quite We did spend quite a bit on the Lon Lawn Ranch one, that's for sure, but yeah, we did. Moving on from the merch talk, Gillis, when we have someone on the show, we like to ask them a few questions. Mind if we ask you a few questions here, Gillis, Yes, fire away, all right, Gillis, Can you give us your top three or five if you can't really put them in order games favorite games of all time? Well? I did five, okay, And I also went and checked all the release dates to kind of give the like two months so like the history and even the genre as well. So the first one and this is is very uh how you say, niche? I found out through through my own detective work of like I play very niche games, but I don't play a lot of popular stuff. Uh okay, not a lot of mainstream things. So the first one was Lords of the Realm too on the PC back in nineteen ninety six. Lords of the Realm and bear with me. It's a turn based medieval strategy game. And you were you were a lord, and you were in England and the medieval times, and there was other lords, and you would take your turn and you would have a castle and you would develop it over time, and you would tax the land and tax the poor. Yeah, yeah, essentially it was. It was it was like a SIEV copy if it was around the same time. If you had to base it on that, it's just less. It looks like SimCity yeah yeah, and squares and it ran so poorly on my family's computer. The flags were like but I was just enamored with it, and it's it's still like I still have it today. I still have a physical copy and then I have a copy on Steam and because now technology has caught up, now the flags are yes, oh yes, there's no frame caps. So it's just everything is super fast, the soldiers move quick. Everything. Yes, I think that happened when I was playing Tiberian Son. I had bought Tiberian Son because it was like, oh man, I'd like to play that again. I bought it and it was like four hundred faster than the computer, and like the dump trucks and the Schachters were going like, really, yeah, you can't compensate. You need The original Final Fantasy seven on PC was like that, the first PC release of it, Like I think I had it and I like install it way later and it was just like there was no frame crap so it was just way too fast. It's like what the fuck? Like how did they not put a frame caap on this thing? So there's that one. There's uh, there's not a frame cap. But you know it's just technology, Like technology just caught up, the hardware caught up with and it just outdid it. The next one is Grand Theft Auto Vice City PlayStation two in two thousand and two. This was one of my first action adventure games, Free Room. The soundtrack of that one was still and that's still the best, and that's that's really There's people will debate and they'll say, you know, oh, San Andres is better. Three was was revolutionary with the three D stuff, But I never picked up three. I just went straight to because it was part of a combo that my parents got for me, okay back in the two thousands, and but it was just what really captured me was the soundtrack was the music of the eighties, of which I still listen to today, and it was just so cool, you know, driving around at nighttime and you'd listen to to just those There's still classic songs like that motoring song, that motor red. Yeah, what's the wings the Wings of Love? Which one is that? Jonathan? I love that. The Book of uh what put the Book of Lettacy? Oh yeahs oh yes, learn to Live Life sir free. No, it's great, and that's that's I loved. I would you know there, I am like twelve or thirteen years old, just driving around on the beach, just listening to the music. This is great and then I, you know, hit a hooker or something and drive off. Ten years old. Yeah. That was my first first first action free roaming you know game where I could do whatever I want and it was it was a lot of fun. Yeah. We where were we when we played Grand Theft Auto three? We were at squirty words house because he bought. No, we had it. No, no, he he. He called this after school one time. He's like, you guys have to come over and play this game. It's crazy. Like, okay, so we come over. I don't know how old we were. Maybe we weren't in high school? Yeah, how how old? What? What? How old are you when you're in grade seven or eight? Yeah? I would imagine it came out in two thousand uh two and one. Wow they had a year. Wow I was I was seventeen, okay, so yeah, we were in high school. I was two years younger, fifteen okay, sorry, gillis imagine thinking that rock Star can make a Rocks a Grand Theft Auto one year apart. Now that it's it's like every ten years, ten or ten plus years. Actually it's just because they got the right dead stuff, right, they're flopped in between the two. It was back then it was just Grand Theft Auto and then Bully. Yeah, I'll wait, I'll wait. It's gonna be a masterpiece. Yes it is. Are you gonna you have to You're you're gonna have to wait like two extra years. I might jump, I might jump ship That's what I did, Like I gotta get it. Yeah, you gotta get a PlayStation five Pro or whatever. Yeah, it's coming out. Yeah, we'll see, we'll see. We would cross that bridge. Probably. I've decided I probably won't get the PS five Pro. I'll just suck it up on the PS five until it gets released for PC. I think that's what I'm gonna do. Mhmm, like just I'll just take the twenty four fps. You know, don't do that. Don't do it's twenty twenty four. Yeah, twenty twenty five. Actually by that time, don't do that. What are here next? Next one I got is EA's maxis sim City four two thousand and three. My first city building sim game. That was four. I think SIMC four specifically, Yeah, that was. I know that there was a popular ones before that. I think it was like sim City three and sim City two thousand. Yeah, that was those pisons were very popular, but it was four for me again, still running on the same computer. It ran terribly at at my parents house. But that was my first introduction too like city building or base building simulation games. And I really really got you were playing this game that came out in two thousand and four on the same PC. The game you were playing. Yes, Oh my god, Ran, there's probably impressive. There's probably some deep seated trauma in the sense of why I want to get the best tech. And it's probably because back when I was a child, I could not have a running computer. So I probably promised myself. I said, when I get older, I will get better stuff. I never never again, I have the best. I will always have the best. I would always have the best. And now I'm trying to chase that pipe dream. What that's the other one? The we'll skip a couple of years to two thousand and seven. Mass computer. Yeah, no, no, Mass Effect one on the Xbox three sixty. Oh okay, here we go. Nice. Yeah, And that was my first action role playing game and and really that was actually my first role playing game ever. And but and it's not even fully RPG. It's an action RPG because it has elements of RPG, but sho and shooter exactly. So yeah, and its space and space and uh, and that was the best. You know, you're just this, You're like Captain James T. Kirk and you're banging blue chicks and saving the galaxy and universe. Yeah, it was, and it was it was amazing and that was. I didn't play that back then. I think I missed the boat. I tried to go back and play like the remastered Yeah, yeah, they have the Legendary Edition, and the Legendary Edition is what Mass Effect one should have been in two thousand and seven. But obviously limitations, right, So everything that you would that I complained about, which you know, in terms of the mechanics and how the game was built, they ironed out in the Legendary Edition, and plus you get Mass Effect two and three. So that's that was That was. That was definitely one that lived with me for a long time. And then the fifth one obviously Squad on PC twenty fifteen, a little more modern. That's my first H Millsim military sim. Playing fifteen I have been playing. I found out that I was actually almost an early adopter. I was one of the first thousand people. Oh wow too, because I just looked back at the times like the player count, and I realized that I purchased the game just months just two or three months after it came out, after the kickstarter was approved and they it was greenlit at the time on team they made their they made the money and U and it's it's just Yeah, it's a game that's been updated since twenty fifteen up to now. It's been acquired. It's unfortunately it's been acquired by Tencent, and it is changing. It is changing. Yeah, okay, so yeah, to give the listeners some context, this is what mostly your your content on YouTube is aund Yes, yes, is squad. So you're you do mil sim basically this gameplay gamelay. Yeah, you just killing some folks and yeah, going to the game the way I like it to describe it to everybody, because they look at the channel and they go, oh, these videos are long, and I go, well, the reason why I do it is because there's so many other YouTubers out there that already do uh squad in general, and they edit it down. They'll take a two hour game and they'll edit it down to fourteen minutes or four minutes of just them jumping over stuff and killing things and they're doing fantastic when in reality that game is is just running and it's running simulator and it's very unforgiving. And so that's why I like to show the community that there's a lot, a whole lot of nothing in between these firefights. You know, you'll be driving around, or you'll be sitting at a firebase for fifteen minutes with no contact and then all of a sudden it kicks off, you know. And that's that's what I like to show the viewers. Really, I like to show them that there can be There's gonna be good times, there's gonna be bad times. There's gonna be ugly times with like glitches and just poor optimization. And that's why I like to keep the community updated as well with patch notes and things like that. You know. It's I'm not I definitely don't want to be those those you know you and I'm not gonna put names out there, but there's YouTubers out there where they just they look so good at the game, and I know for a fact you're not. You're not good at the game. You are you are editing and manufacturing the footage to make yourself look good. I am. I will be the first to say I am not good. Like, what is this in ninety years into this game and I'm still struggling at times? How many hours do you have? How many hours I do? Actually I just hit over eighteen hundred hours, eighteen hundred nine years. Yeah, rookie yeah, exactly. It's not even it's not even that much. It's not you know, it's it's I know people that have played Empire. There he's he's has over four thousand hours in Total War. Oh yeah, Total War. Yeah, he's a big he's a big rts N strategy guy. Yeah. For who we when we talk about Empire. He's Gillis's buddy who's jumped in to our Isanzo live streams. You may if you watch the live streams, you may have listened or watched Empire. Gillis, me and Jonathan played Ianzo for a few hours. That's where. That's where Empire. He's Empire's he's unofficially officially my employee, of which I sometimes squad sometimes pay with games and I'm like play yeah, yeah, I'm like it's always guys disguise, and he goes, wow, thanks for the game. I'm like, you're welcome. Here's your time schedule. We'll be playing this exactly. Yeah. I just make sure you say these things. I have twenty nine hundred hours in APEX just on Steam. Wow, when she played it, I played it. I played it on EA before this so an origin an origin, so whatever that is. And then I have a couple hundred on Xbox and then probably a couple hundred on PS five as well. Wow, I don't know, that's impressive. How old is that game? Four years? Wow? Five years? So you've been putting the time in. Yeah. Yeah, Daniel's got something to say. I think, huh interesting, Okay, thank you, thanks stand thanks for the input there buddy inut Oh my god, it's hard for him. We can see him like getting off the bed just to roll over and speak into the microphone. So it takes a couple of seconds to get ready to say what he needs to say. He's just lying in bed. He's got, he's got. It's like half on. He's going, that's cool, guys. Great. Oh fuck. Next question, do you have an earliest childhood memory of you? Gaming stands out to you when you're like, think of your childhood or the earliest spot where you were gaming the I do, actually I do remember it, and it was this is more mainstream, this is more standard. It was playing on the NES with the combo cartridge of Duck Hunt and Super Mario Bros. And we had this app. Yes, yeah, we had this apper and I was trying to figure out pointing at the TV why the gun wasn't working, and I was going, I'm like trying to aim it as a child, and I'm like, this is not and it made it. It made the loudest metallic spring that spring click, you know, anytime you you choose that trigger. The gun was huge by the way too, it was like massive. Uh and yeah, I remember just doing that. And then my brother showed me, uh, the light bulb trick. He's like, watch this light Yeah, so because it captures when you shoot the gun. I found out later that the way later that the way it works is that when you fire the gun, it freezes the screen and it's alway and it just picks out the spot that you targeted, Whereas I so if you put it on a light bulb, it's accuracy. Yeah. Yeah, I did not know that. I don't know how my brother found that out, but because the Internet wasn't there back then, so maybe he's just shooting things like he he was like shooting the light bub just figure out. Yeah that is hilarious. Yeah. So because when you when you that's that's what I learned. When you when you fire the zapper for a fraction of a second, it freezes the screen and it's and it just pixelates the one spot that you you were targeting. Man, some of those accessories. We actually were on an episode with Aaron from Super Pod Saga and we were talking about old accessories and a lot of these accessories were from like Nintendo, and they just thought of the most ridiculous things and like implementing it with the normal Nintendo is just mind boggling. Or the game Boy, like the regular game Boy, Like, man, crazy shit. Mhm. I got another question for you. You were pretty early adopter of YouTube as well. You were on YouTube quite a while ago. Yes, oh really, tell us, tell us tell us a little bit about like how you started back in the day on YouTube. What were you doing on YouTube? I started putting uploading videos back in two thousand and eight when I was sixteen years old, and back in back in that day, Back in that day, YouTube was very different. It was much smaller than it is now. It wasn't as far reaching on an international level, and it just had a smaller community overall. So but it was just peculiar. It was just random. The things that you would find on on on YouTube was just wild. So what I had was I had unboxing videos of video games game collections, and I actually had some footage of like playthroughs yeah on like three sixty. Yeah, I would, and I would have to take I'd have to take this device. It's like hop hug device. I think that's what it calls. Yeah, I've had. I've had many because they're ship Yeah, yeah they are. They're not that good. And I would have to like connect it to the computer with the extra yeah. Yeah, and that's how I started the Uh, that's how I started my playthroughs and stuff. And just looking back now, I actually have the channel I cannot get. I've been talking to YouTube to get my credentials back into it so I can have access, and they're like, no, we can't help you, but you can just attach it to your current Yeah. So if you're savvy enough, you can see my channel. And if you scroll the way down next to elder trolls, you will see my old channel. It's there. I am not. I was a little embarrassed at first, but I went, you got to embrace it. You have to embrace it. It's like Timothy Charlimate there with this old Timothy is his name? What Timothe? He's French, yeah, or deep paula trad. He he had a channel of him like he painted or like customized old Xbox controllers when he was like oh wow or something. Yeah, that's that is some that's that's essentially the same level, only he got he got famous and I did, so that's that's that's he He's now in big movies making lots of money, and I'm making squad Milson videos. But like you see in some of I think it was it's crazy. Sure, some of Gillis's old videos, he instead of showing his face on his camera, he wore a stormtrooper helmet, boba fet helmet. Because I wanted to stay anonymous. I wanted to I didn't want people because well also because I'm a child, I'm a minor, and it's scary. I want people to know what I look like. I feel like doing that sometimes. You know, I'm a forty year old man. You gottat to protect yourself. But it's interesting because the the videos back then, I skimmed through them and I saw that some of my videos had over one hundred thousand views, and I went, what is this? And it's an Xbox three sixty game collection and I looked at the engagement and it had over two hundred comments. Two hundred comments over, yeah, over fifteen years. But those comments came over when it was first released, and then three hundred ratings. And then I looked at the other videos as well, and in terms of engagement versus viewership, there was almost as many comments as there was view views. Oh wow, And I went, that's interesting because now you look at YouTube and today standards and I'll have a video that has a couple thousand views and I'll have maybe three comments on my on the video. It's just it's interesting how YouTube has changed in that sense where I don't know if people are afraid to say what they want to say, or they just don't want to say anything at all, you know, they don't want to leave engagement. It's very interesting. Well, with with your videos, I find like bringing it back to how you were saying, like you like to show it all. Yes, what I like about watching your videos is I'll have it up on my second monitor at work whatever, and I'll have it going and then just out of the blue, something insane will happen. Yes, Like you're like you're you're running down this this road with with like a tank and I'm like, oh fuck, I like I see this tank in the distance that's not his, and then you can see it like like turning towards you, and then I'm engaged and I'm like, what the hell's gonna happen next? And then Gillis will jump behind the rock wall, like the little like rock wall beside the beside the road, and then he'll like trying to mark the tank and all this shit. Yeah, it's it's good. And then boh, just these fucking explosions after it gets crazy, but yeah, there's big lulls and then like the good stuff happens and then it's like quiet again. Like it's just like really cool the way that oh yeah happens. Oh yeah, instead of like all the time, like there there are times where that's that That is why I you know, I'm getting old. I like I like to uh, I don't know how you do it, John O with with with Apex that I tried it and it's it's uh, it's balls to the wall. It's crazy all the time. Yeah, NonStop action, you know, to you sometimes it is sometimes it isn't though it's royal. Yeah, there are still like ranked as much slower, you'll you might enjoy ranked a little bit more. It's more methodical, more slow. But but sometimes it's just fucking absolutely insane, and like sometimes you and I'm just going nuts somehow and like surviving like those are the craziest When that happens, though, it's fucking sweet. Like if there's like six teams around you, you're you're dodging everything, You're you're you're staying alive somehow, like against all odds, as they say, But yeah, yeah, it's fucking wild nice all right. One last question for gillis before we get into what we're playing, is what are you gaming on today? What's your rig right now? Because I noticed your stuff is in four K yes and all that what? And I keep asking you on your videos what are you getting on those? Because you're tell a must tell us what you're running. And then I'll ask you about the performance of your squad. I so it's just a PC and do you want to know the specs? Yeah, like the main specs, the main specs a m D fifty eight x three D with a with a rt X thirty eighty ten gig and then yeah, and then just uh, you know, a couple of terabytes of storage and m dot two and then some SSDs. Uh and what's my what's my ram? It's like thirty six hundred yeah, okay, your what's your screen? There? Oh, that's my that's my gigabyte. That's the thirty two inch ips one hundred and forty four at four K? Okay, yeah, so now you're recording this four K? How is the thirty eighty handling these? How are you getting four K? And at least it's it's it's hit or miss. It's some some games are optimized very well, and you know, I don't notice, I don't notice any stutter. I don't know I really notice any spike drop. No. Uh. And then there's other games where I go, oh, yes, this is my four thirty eighty squad is nine years against well it's you know, for a long time, it didn't And they they've done they've done a lot of good work. And I was actually just praising them in one of the videos because it was one of the first times where I actually turned on the stat FPS command to see I went with a skimes running really well right now and during the combat, and I looked and it was running at one hundred and thirty frames steady in combat in four K. No, I don't believe, I went, that is nuts. I didn't believe it either. I want to. I should take a picture. I'd be like, I'll be like, no, I could prove it. It's and I went, wow, one hundred and thirty frames a four K, it's actually. Somebody commented and they went, I'm not getting those, I'm not getting this, and I'm he has a forty seventy TI and a thirteen hundred thirteen six hundred K and he's like, I am not getting anywhere near and he's playing a two K. So maybe maybe my thirty magic box there. I don't want to sell my thirty eighty. It's it's it's special, it's it's it's just it's like sucking some it was sucking juice from the walls, you know, over sucking itself until I play, until I play Aanzo, and then it's you know, Spider Man too, Toby Maguire, and it's like, I don't know what that game is doing, but I can just you can hear the fans spool up when I play Sonzo. You're going no, no, oh, no, stay with me, now, stay with me. I was thinking about upgrading. Then I'm just like, fuck it always, I'm always thinking about it. That we had a little we had a little conversation. Uh me while, I'll talk about it in the next section here, because I got something to say. So we're gonna we're gonna head over to game time and we're gonna blast through this. Okay, we got time. Okay, well head over to game time. Daniel. Daniel has something to say. Well, I've been playing more Wonderful Life, just slogging my way through that life while trying to enjoy my real life. You know, such a wonderful game. See what I did there. But other than that, not so much. I watched some Dragons Dogma two trailers and gameplay, and I got to say, I am very interested. It's like the only Capcom game that I have ever been interested in playing. So I might just dabble, boys, I might just dabble. But she's pretty expensive and I'm about to buy a new car. You know, Dan Dolf here with the big bucks ready to spend. Wow, wow, thanks Daniel. Cool. Dan just keeps on slogging through that one fromer with each time when he talks buying cars. Oh, but I believe. I believe he actually went and purchased the car. Wow, actually did he not something like that? I think maybe put a deposit or something. His first car. Well, he actually bought with his own money. Good for you, Dan, You're so cool. Oh he's got something else to say. Well, yeah, okay, I suppose he supposes cool. Right on? All right, what have you been playing, Jonathan? I've been actually grinding some Hearthstone battlegrounds. Oh. Yes, I don't know why I decided to do this, but I've never actually seriously tried, Like I just play it, you know, on the shit, I play it on the couch whatever. I And even doing that, I've gotten to like six thousand rating before and then so I got to six thousand rating and I'm just kind of grinding a little bit more. And I looked it up. And even to get to get onto the leaderboard, which is the top ten thousand players, and it's four hundred and thirty seven pages long, you have to have a ten thousand rating, which I do not have. Wow, what are you currently just to get on the leaderboard, Just to get on the four hundred and thirty seven page leader board. Wow, I'm at sixty two hundred right now or something like that. But oh grace, you're getting there. Yeah. Well I don't know how like how hard it would be to get like these guys though they're playing ten hours a day. Yeah, like I'm not twelve hours a day, So I don't know. But I mean, and you don't get I think I feel like you get less and less points for a win, Like you only get like a hundred points for a win wow at this rating. So and I don't win that often, but you got to get top four, which is I get top four pretty much every game, which is good. But but sometimes you just get fucked by orange. Yeah what about if you lose, like if you're bottom five or whatever, Yeah, you get minus points. You get minus points. Oh yeah, oh yeah, I just got Linus sixty three. Ouch m m. So it's almost counter like you lose some problem. It's just they don't give you the friggin minions. Wow, you just don't get it, and like you don't get your setup because the way it is is like I've learned the way you want to do it is you have to have a certain upgrade curve. You got to get to that level six, like the two year six, so you can get those minions that win games. That's where they are. So you can't just be like not upgrading and just using a bunch of shit small minions, like you might get top four, but like without upgrading and having that set up that there's a couple of minions for each faction that are like enablers that really help you win the game, and you have to find those. Yeah, you have to find them. But at the same time, while you're trying to find them, you have to stabilize your board so you you're not fucking getting knocked down, you know what I mean. So you have to actually know when to even know when to pivot to a different, different race or different you know, faction. Like when you're not getting the ship you need, you need to make a decision, right, Yeah, you're like you're like, okay, well in three refrac you could not getting anything. Yeah, like you're if you're not getting any of those key minions, you're fucked, Like you can't do anything. Wow, So it sucks. So that happens sometimes. But and now there's quests. These quests have on turn three, you get to choose a quest to complete, and you get some crazy thing that that makes you strong. But some of them suck. Some of them are really good, so that also depends on like your opponents getting those. I also don't pay for the game, so I only get to choose between two heroes at the beginning instead of four, which sucks, but it's not that bad. So I've gotten this way without also paying for it, so or this far without paying for it. But I'll keep playing. Maybe I'll get to ten thousand. Who knows, I'm also paying Final Fly have seven Rebirth still grind in a way. How far are you? And now? And how many hours is that one? I am forty six hours in ool nice wow, and I'm on chapter ten. I just I just got to Cosmo Canyon Cosmo Google. How many chapters there are? I do not know? Okay, I'm gonna guess, like, well, there was eighteen in the last one. I don't know. Wow. I always like to know, like in my when I play like one of my like those Dark Souls games, I'm like, okay, how many chapters are this? Because I'll get to like chapter six, I'm like, oh my god, and I'm like beaten and I'm broken, and I'm like, I gotta have like two chapters left right, And then I go check it's like twenty four chapters and I'm like, oh, well, I don't I don't know. I don't care. I'll look. I probably won't look. I'm I'm probably close enough. I don't know. This is a Japanese game. Yeah, I don't know. I've been doing a lot of like map events and stuff though, so like I'm clearing. I cleared the first two regions completely and actually the third region as well. So I did that, which is why it's taking me so long. But I don't think I'm gonna continue to do that because I think I've seen everything. It's basically all the same, just repeating over and over again to eat your time. So now I'm just gonna I think I'm just gonna finish out the story, maybe go back and raise some Chocobos at the Old Golden Saucer because that was really cool. It's like a Mario Kart. It's like it's like a minigame, but it's Mario Kart with chocobo's, you know what I mean. Why don't they just make this multiplayer? Why don't they just funny go when you go to the Golden Saucer enable like a multiplayer lobby. How cool would that be with all these minigames? Would be cool. They're going to do games. All the minigames in this game are really freaking cool. There's so many of them, Like the card game, The Golden Saucer has multiple They didn't have the snowboarding though. They didn't put the snowboarding in. The snowboarding one was sick. I'm a bit upset about that, but maybe they'll bring it in later. I don't know, but the mini games are fucking cool. Uh but yeah, I'm just gonna grind that and finish it. Hopefully may play Dragons Dogma. I have it. I own it in a physical form on so maybe i'll play that after. I don't know. Just so nice and I'm grinded Apex, grinded Apex every day every day, actually every day, not grinding, just playing while boys. I've been playing A Dragon's a Dogma two. I put about twelve hours in so far. That's pretty impressive for me. That came out Thursday night, eight pm. I didn't get to play it because they didn't allow preload on Steam. Fucking assholes. So I had to waste half an hour downloading it. Then the compiling shaders took even longer. It took like a half an hour to fucking compile the shaders before I was able to play. I was like, are you kidding me? Like, I'm sitting here waiting, what is going on? I has? That's an every game? Now, why is that? I want to know why that is? It's just like the compression from the DAD just needs to expand all these textures and shaders and whatever, like what the fuck? Man? But after that I jumped in. I had to spend some time tweaking the settings and the graphics and performances, the performance settings, which I'm not too happy about a lot of people aren't happy about that right now. But after I dialed that in, I'm getting some pretty good performance metrics. But I have to enable the fluid frames, the AMD fluid frames, which is the fake generated frames. Now I'm not a fan of enabling that, but if I didn't, and I wanted this game to look as pretty as it does, i'd be getting like twenty thirty fps like that bad. It's insane. It's so bad, Like in the town, like in the main city. Fucking forget about it. Like it's unbelievable in the main city right now, after all my tweaks and said, I'm getting about forty five and you have a very very good car, and I have a very good computer. The CPU could be better, but I won't rely on that. But like when I go out into the open world with the fake frames, I'm getting about one hundred and twenty Oh wow, that's a huge jeep jump. That's another thing with this. The fluctuation in the fps is ridonculous. It's ridiculous. Like I'll be going I'm like, oh, man, one hundred and sixty fps with the fluid frames. I'll turn these off, right and I'll turn off the fake frames and it's like like sixty fps. I'm like, what the fuck. And then when I start fighting something, I was like forty fps, I'm like, oh my god. So it's like just the range, man is ridiculous. It's so bad. So I've found a place where I can enjoy going out into the wild where I don't feel that frame drop. But when I go to the city, I just have to deal with the forty five fifty fps in the city, and I'll do my I'll do my jobs in the city and I'll get the hell out back the wilderness. And it's fine. And it do like a Reva tuner and cap your frames at something like one hundred. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. That's what I'm thinking, because I try to do that within the well, within the game, there's an option of like frame capping and then your dynamic resolution, where I thought it would try to hit that frame and just change your resolution on the fly or whatever, But it doesn't seem to do anything. What also doesn't do jack shit is the FSR. I turned FSR on. It does nothing. It does absolutely nothing like that Matt fifteen generation is isn't that part of FSR FSR suite am? I? What I know or from what I can gather is it's completely separate. So the in game implementation of the FSR is FSR three. Okay. I've even tried turning off the frame gen outside on the driver, Like there's the AMD suite that lives outside the game which you turn on the frame gen on. I turned that off. I turn fuss R three on and I don't gain any fps like zero. Mmm. So I don't know if that's broken. What else is What else is broken is the HDR doesn't work, which is a shame because the spell effects in this game, like the fire, Oh my god, looks amazing, like the flames and the fire like they did an unreal job. It's like, Oh, we're gonna make a game about dragons, We're gonna have to make sure this fire in here feels like and looks like fire. Unbelievable job they did there. It looks so good. I decided to create myself as my character, so I look like me? Is it that guy which was on your short? Uh? Yeah, what short? What short? Was that? No? No, no, no, no no no that's short. Yeah no no no no that was that was kind of based on me, but not you should have just made it exactly like that. Now that all the videos you release look like that guy. Man that short. That short has like four five thousand views on it right now. It's ridiculous. But it just random just happens. It is so stupid. Yeah, and you just go up and down. Yeah, that's it. It just shows massive gut. But then I made Gandalf as my main pond, who's now Sorcerer. I've upgraded him. To Sorcerer, So it looks just like Ian McKellen. Is that his name, Yeah, yeah, yeah, looks just like him. And I just keep talking to Gandalf, but they don't have like an old man voice. I couldn't get an old man voice on him, so he just sounds like a regular dude. So it looks like Gandalf. The story and the cut scenes so far, i'm very I'm enjoying a lot. The voice acting is surprisingly good. Usually i'll switch it right to Japanese, but so far pretty good. On the English capcom I'm I'm impressed. I'm actually impressed. The monsters that you come across on the Wild there's only a few right now. Hopefully it gets a bit different because they're rolling through about four like Cyclops, Minotaur, like the giant ones, yeah, the giant Ones, an Ogre, and I think I fought a few snakes. Oh, and the Griffin, so I think it's like giant snakes, No, not giants snakes, sorry, the Griffin. And then there's the harpies. They're like little harpies with tits hanging out. Oh yeah, yeah, I fought a Medusa at the beginning of the game. That was really cool. So like I'm hoping that the monsters changed with different biomes or something, because right now I'm tired of slan ogres, you know, tired slam those cyclops is over and over again. But like jumping on the back and just fucking stabbing that guy, just oh man, it's so satisfying. It's so sweet. And then one time the goal, Oh there's a goal and like a rock gol and monster takes me off his back and he just squeezes me, crushing me. I'm like, get me out of here. My ponds are trying to get me out of his grasp. Pawns. Have you hired other people's pawns yet? Oh yeah, I've went in hired other people's pawns a lot of I think a lot of people are doing the gandalf. I saw Sam Wuiz gam G, so I like tried to get a better look at his face. He was a mage for some reason. What else was in there? There's there's some good fighting for I don't I don't know if I would want I made fro helping me. I made fro in one of my other videos. But man, the pon the pawn system is really cool, Like if you send your pawn out, you can tell whoever hires him to get this quest done with him and your party so you get rewards. So it's like, oh, I want him to be able to I want him to get his Ogre badge, So put him in your party. If you're going to kill Ogres that when he has with an Ogre, No, I don't. I got my over you O belt. Did you kill him? Kill him? Yeah, slay that dragon. But yeah, very cool there. Now, there's a lot of shit going on line right now, like the negative mostly negative reviews on Steve Gillis brought this up to me. I was like, I can't It's not that bad, Like why is everyone shitting on this? And just very quickly like in a summary. Uh, there's a tweet out there that says these are the things wrong right now. Release a seventy dollars release a seventy dollars US single player game, shoves Denovo in your face, shoves micro transactions and paid character edit vouchers, and shoves anti sheet down your throat, all in a single player game. Yeah, why would you want? Why did you fucking anti chet in a player game? For what? People don't for who? For people who don't know what Donuveo is a nouvau. I believe it's called is there is this like new anti cheat, not new, but like it's a more robust and intrusive anti cheat. I guess you could say where like sometimes people I don't know if it's proven yet, but people say it does hinder your performance, and there's been back and forth on that. The Tech and seven director actually blamed Danuvo four performance issues in Tech and seven. So that's why a lot of people have been like, oh, it's Dnovo, that's why I'm getting twenty fps lower than I should be at it, blah blah blah. Also, it's I think it's the hardest one to crack for piracy. So if there are people waiting for Dragon's Dogma, tuity get pirated, Like it's going to take a long time if they keep the Dodovo in Danuvo Danuvo and they say, that's a lot a lot of it to do with microtransaction store fronts, So like when there's a game that has micro transaction is in it, they're most likely going to go with Danuvo because it's so like entrenched in the code. I guess so you can't like spoof, yeah, or like you can't spoof items and stuff like that. I don't know, Yeah, I guess so. So a lot of people are unhappy, mainly because the untested I don't and again I don't know. I didn't do too much research in it, but I think it's because a lot of people think it really hits the performance of the game, and they can use other anti cheats. Why do they have to use danuvo kind of thing? But then they're talking about these microtransactions on the Steam Store. From what I can tell from what I've played in the game, they're not throwing that down my throat. I have not been forced to buy anything. I get all the items that were in that list while playing the game pretty easily so far. So I don't know if it like later on in the game it gets harder to get those items. I don't know yet, but twelve hours in I have no issues getting those items. You don't have to pay for those items, so just shut up like you don't need to pay for them. The option is there for people who want like a hundred of these stones to resurrect yourself instead of you know, resing at the last save point, Like, sure, go spend money to get a hundred resurrection stones. Who cares? Like, I don't see the whole issue behind that. It's not pay to win since it's not a multiplayer game, Like, who cares? I don't care about that. Geez, you can edit your character in game. Just go get the items, Go farm the items. You can get them in the game. If you don't want to farm them, pay two dollars. I don't understand. Who cares? This is just gonna It's been like this for a while. It's gonna continue to be like this from what they've listed here, other than the performance issues, which will come with patches, much like Lord's The Fallen did, it'll come with patches, It'll get better. You're just gonna have a little bit of weight. But there's no way it deserves a mostly negative rating. In my opinion right now, from what I've been playing, the game is fantastic other than the performance. But like you gotta do your tweaks. If you're playing it on console, your performance is your is what you're gonna get, right, So they kind of take that out of the equation for console players. Just play the fucking game. So there's a console off the check No, I don't think so. If you have a VRR monitor or TV, it'll you can uncap the frame rate okay, and you'll get between I don't know, thirty forty fps something like that. Nice. Yeah, that's not bad. Not bad for the console game. And from what I can see, the PS five version has some bells and whistles on it too, so it's got like the uh the ray tray shadows, I believe. So it looks it looks pretty nice. Well, I'll check it out. I'll check it out. You know, I guess the vr R I think down there on the high sense not my ol ed. But oh I also got a notification saying that they assessed my claim, my warranty claim for the TV. They assessed it. They said they're done reviewing it, but now they have to look at my documents, so they're not done. So and then I called your email. No idea, I have no idea what they what they said we're done and it says we're done. Uh, now you have to wait for an analyst to review your documents. Like you're not done anything. You didn't do anything. The fucking guys, the guys, who have my TV the repair shop. They call me and say, yeah, we can't keep your TV here anymore. It's been here too long. I'm like, well, I haven't heard back from the other guys yet, so I have to go pick up my broken ass TV and it's sitting in my living room right now in a fucking giant box. So I have to wait, so stupid, and we're done. We're done reviewing that you have purchased the TV. Yeah, like so now what so? And I have to wait and hopefully, hopefully I'm hoping they say, Okay, well, since you can't get this model anymore, just go buy whatever TV as long as it's X price. I am hoping they say that, because I'm gonna get if they do a seventy seven inch O lead instead of the sixty five, because Samsung has a seventy seven Samsung has to fit down your stairs. Yeah, well, Samsung has the s eighty nine C right now, which is it only comes in a seventy seven inch and it's like just under the repair price. Wow. Oh that'd be fucking sweet. Wow, that would be sweet, And then I would just buy the extra warranty on it. So yeah, like separately fuck it and then I'll have that for that's ideally what is happening. I hope they don't tell me to repair it because then it's just like it's that'll be horrible. Well you don't pay for it, right, I have to out of my pocket? Yeah yeah, but then six months later, Yeah, we'll see what happens. All right, gillis, what are you playing currently? Squad as always Hell Divers Too? Really, I have did play some. I have dived into Hell Divers Too. I was not I was not planning on purchasing it, but the memes and uh they and the satire and the Starship Troopers esque everything just captured me. And now I remember a minute. I remember I was like, oh, we're thinking of getting this game. I got a message and I was like, I think we're getting this game called Hell Divers Too or something. It looks like it could be pretty fun with some friends and into it. Man, I don't know. I bought it. I played it once and I was like yeah, yeah, and now I'm it seems super easy. I don't know, it's it's it's easy once and then he up the difficulty and you go, oh boy, I am not prepared. I've got issues with the game though. Every time I trying to play this thing, there's something wrong, something happens, and it frustrates me. It pisses me off. Like the one night me, Peq and Eric we were trying to play, and I don't know if and the way these guys like patch their games, I don't know if they're even testing this shit or they're just fucking patching it and like rolling it through Steve, because I'll jump in one night, I'm like, this is fucking easy. I'm crushing these these rhino bugs. What are they called chargers? Chargers Yeah, blah blah blah. I go in the next game and there's like fifteen of them, yeah, ramming me, like ramming my ass constantly. I can't spawn. I'm like, what the fuck is going on? This was not like this yesterday. They are constantly putting in patches and they are people, they are listening to the community, and but the problem is is that they're running into the issue of whoever's louder will prevail and they will change it and into the into their liking, which may not be the better. And it no so what they had your game, they had a fairly well rounded game at the beginning, but over time it has eroded. And the game has only been out for a couple of weeks, maybe a month, and now you have things that are just wildly overpowered and things that aren't. And then you've had enemies that too much of one thing and not enough of another. And they still have to introduced the third enemy, the third the illuminates race, the race, the race. They're still trying to put in new vehicles, new mechs, new skins, new armors. I feel like they're trying to do so much a lot at once. They need to be careful. They need to be very careful because they're running into and and also as time goes on, player count is going down. It is starting to diminish. It's just that's just the reality of it. People are playing and it is a good game, and it is the definition of a live service game. But it it has has not been easy for them, to say the least. They have gone through a lot of trial and tribulation. What I what I do like about the game was only fifty bucks. Oh yeah, and I've put fifty hours into it. It's great, So like like that, that's enough is enough for me, Like, whenever I feel like slaying some bugs or destroying some terminators, I'll jump in with pe Q and then. But I think I'm at the point where it's just going to be Dragon's Dogma for a while. Now. Another thing about this game is ever with every patch they throw out, there's something that crashes your game. Yes, so the new the latest patches. If you if you're an arc laser user, yes, if you use that, it crashes your game. It will crash your game. The game is the gun is so good, Yeah, it just crashes. Yes, and that the arc thrower is actually one of the best weapons in the game. Having up yeah, like you charge it. It's like, my god, but man, it's great. I have an eighty eighty plus hours into it. I've just been thank thank god. I have a backlist of squad videos that are stacked because I have just been playing nothing but hell Divers too. So why don't you just do that for Hell Divers? Are you playing squads with your with Empire? Yeah, just solos? Yeah yeah. So and that's that's where we ran to your issue where you were having trouble at the beginning not being able to get into any games. Yeah. So with Empire and ized shift work, we would get off at midnight. So picture the John Travolta pulp fiction meme where he's like looking around and I'm just where he's you. You couldn't get in. I was just walking in. We were just going into games, no problem, just because of the time. Yeah, and with that, yeah, we just he's the level of twenty nine. I've maxed out. I fully I went farm mode. I turned to a farmer. I actually get kicked now because of that, because I'm such a high level. They think I'm a farmer. I'm not a farmer, guys, I used to be what does that mean? What are you farming? There was a way to farm in one of the specific modes called eradicate, and it's a fifteen minute mission that before patches you could do in two minutes flat, and you used to be able to. You could just killing the bugs or whatever, killing the bugs or the bots, and you could boost your XP. You could get a decent amount of metals and then that would and you would get a decent amount of credits, so that would help your unlocked stratagems, abilities, weapons, armors, et cetera, et cetera. And you could instead of doing the forty minute missions, you could crank out twenty twenty of those missions and get way more XP way or it just it's just numbers, right, And so a lot of people viewed those guys aka me, They're like, oh, those guys are just they're farmers. They're not they're not they're not contributing to the cause, to the liberation. Jump in for the you'll jump in for the first one. And I was such a dirty scum bag. I would hop onto a ship. They'd be like, hey, wow, a high level and I'm like, sit down here, we're getting here. I'm gonna you guys go over there. I'm gonna blow them all up. I never could get get the out and they'd be like, oh, you're joining us for the next mission. I'm already off the ship. I'm like, hell diver has left, the left the ship and I'm off to the next one. And I catch land here, I'm gonna fight there it is. And so he is a farmer. I was a farmer. I was a farmer. But so now it's affecting me negatively. Anytime I hop into a game, I can hear the chatter and they go, oh, he's a level fifty. Get rid of them. Really, Like if you drop in with like level thirties, if I drop in, yeah with level thirties, yeah, level five's they're like, whoa help, miss glorious leader. Oh man, oh geez. And I'm like and I'm like the uh Starship Troopers. Uh lieutenant. It's like, remember your training and you will make it out a lot. So why don't you just look for those SOS things because they'll yeah, they'll let you. Yeah, I do. My My problem is is that those so OSS and the other ones where you have you have a player to spy himself. I can almost never get into those games. Almost never. Oh really, yeah, I anytime I hop in, it says the sessions full. Oh yeah, so I always have to start my own and then people jump into mind. That is my gripe with the game. Also, they killed my rail gun, the beautiful, beautiful rail gun. They nerfed it, they nerfed it, They nerved it to the point where no one uses it anymore, and you have to branch out. And it's fine that happens. That that's part of balancing. Yeah, so they I think it was because it not because it was powerful, but because the level fifties were seeing they were following a certain build, a meta build, and if you didn't follow that, you were getting kicked. So if you didn't use the shield pack and rail gun combo with other high level players, they said, you're out. So I think that's what hit the hit the chords for the devs and they went, yeah, we have to stop the it's like bullying, they have we have to stop the bullying. And essentially, yeah, because I read I read some Twitter stuff about how are we going to punish the people who are kicking all these people? Yeah, right now there's a big kicking problem. Yeah. But like you know, these high level people, it's like rating and World of Warcraft or whatever right gear and to be on those people's sides just for a second. The reason why they do that is when you're playing at such a high difficulty, you need everyone to It's it's exactly, you need everyone to have the specs and need everyone to have the right gear. It's like doing a what's the termine and wow, or like a dungeon, like a dungeon, like a rate. It's like everyone needs to It's like this is what we're using and if you don't use that, you are not contributing. You are not contributing. Now I don't see that as an issue. No either. The thing is maybe like maybe whenever you know, who could do to filthy casuals? Yes, exactly, democrats undemocratic like if they want to do that, allow them to do that. But put in a search function, you know what I mean? Can they out put in like a like a very light looking for group where it's like, oh, casual or endgame or whatever like that if you click the end game like have your ship ready, have the meta build or something that helps the meta build or whatever, so people don't kick you. Yeah, just have a just have a looking for group. Two different things I agree, like kind of like back in Halo Reach they had it's like you want to be sweaty or you want to just have fun? Oh is that what it said? Yeah, back in Halo Reach, and you could even and it went even deeper. It went into the voice chats. It's like are you chatty or are you quiet? Oh? Yeah, you could definitely and it actually worked. It actually worked in Halo Reach. Nice. See there you go. There's your answer, fish bulbs. Okay, Well let's get into it. Actually, hold on, Oh we were talking about anti cheats, we're talking about server patching. We gotta I have to mention this Apex hack. Did you hear about the skillus? No, no, no, it's beIN all over the like, it's what's happening. The ship went down. So the North American Final, this is this is competitive Apex Legends. So the ALGs North American Finals. ALGs is Apex Legends Global Series. It was happening and in the middle of the finals, like the final tournament, two players got hacked live wow, like during competition, and the hacker was able to turn on cheats on their machines on these two guys machines in the middle of the fucking game, like while they're playing during the tournament, during during the event, like live broadcasts. Is that's not good? It was fucking insane. So like they had to leave and and respawn, and EA had to fucking postpone the finals to investigate. I guess, and and like people online it is like, oh my god, Apex isn't safe to play all this shit to get hacked because they think, you know, well, they think there's a remote code execution vulnerability in the game, but like that doesn't really mean there is, because it could happen, like it nobody knows what the problem could be, like how they could do it. So I don't know if you know pirate software on Twitter and YouTube. He is a he was. He's pretty sick. Yeah, he used to work for Blizzard. He is a coder. He was a hacker. Oh is that the gentleman with the glasses and the longer hair. Yeah, deep voice, yeah, yeah, sexy voice, yes, yes, yes, And he's like I used to I banned two million people for shooting. So he yes, he got into it with a couple of the apex streamers. They had him on and like he was like interviewing them and asking them what happened, and like he is a big part of like the investigation that happened, and I think they found what the problem was, like they they seem to have found that it was actually because the hacker, claims the hacker actually did an interview with tech Crunch this guy, yeah, after the actual hacker, the actual hacker. Oh really yeah, and he was saying, no, it's just he said he never touched anything outside the Apex is what he says, I don't know if you can trust a Russian hacker for what he says, but undemocratic hack, but an undemocratic charactor. He claims that it's all within the APEX process and nothing outside of it. So he was able to from his hacked client on his computer, was able to send commands to the server that these guys were playing on, and he was able to get that server because you know how you have the telemetry in the top corner your your stats it says a server, I D turn that off. Why do they have that on? Yeah, they had that on because it's on with your fps and your pocket loss or whatever. So he knew what server they're on and they could see it see it. So through his hacked client, he could connect to that server without even being in the lobby. Like he didn't even have to be in the lobby, and he could uh send through the game engine turn on like a some feature that gave aimbot, and everything existed within the game. So he didn't install anything remotely. It was all using the in game. That's bullshit. That makes it makes sense, Like as long as long as he knows right, he has he has the location, he has a server idea. It sounds totally plausible, right, But but what he's doing is sending commands to the server that the server is just like okay, yeah, sure, it's yeah, it's not like checking, you know what I mean. And that's I guess what the vulnerability was to that one user send to that one player, because not everyone was seeing through walls after he sent in the code to this No, he did it to two players, but they're the two of the highest viewers on their screen. I saw like something, yes, popped up. But they they're speculating that that was just for show. It was just made of in game asset. It was just a little window that said, you know, cheats hacks on. And then he he sent a message. He sent a message from that guy's account with the hackers name saying you were hacked by blah blah blah. Otherwise, if he didn't do that, like they would think this guy is actually cheating and like accidentally turned on his hacks or something like that. Right, oh wow, could have ruined him. Yeah, but he did it on purpose to show that, he claims he did it to show that dev's like, this is a problem in your game. You should fix it, But it's fucking crazy making that second window pop up in game. That's yeah, it was made of like in game assets, like in game menu items, menu items. Yeah, because he didn't install. Because there's what are the odds that two separate streamers, two of the highest view viewed streamers are both their machines are compromised at the same time by the same guy, Like that is unlikely unless he was he was aiming to do this, he knew the A LGS was on this date, and he's like, I got to get malware or some kind of how would he do it on targeting them across the street the other were on the other side of the world, get malware onto their computer, Like it's possible, but man, at the same time, you would have to like know their email addresses, maybe try to get email addresses penis and you touching your penis online click thesephoto dot zip and see the photos I have click fuck. But yeah, anyway, I think that's resolved now. And there they found it and and Pirate Software was a big help in the in the investigation, which is pretty cool. He's very good. He's very If you don't follow him, he's got some good shit. Like his shorts. He got a lot of good shorts. Like the shorts. Yeah, I watch his shorts. I don't watch his twitch stuff, but his shorts are really good on Twitch. I guess he's just developing his game like he develops. He just streams himself coding, and that's what he's doing in the game because I can see the title of this game that's always on his short. Okay, So but yeah, he's got a video and I think he just released it yesterday of the Apex Legends investigation and wrap ups. So I'm going to watch that. It's a long one, but it's it's really interesting because this is like he's interviewing the streamers, a couple multiple streamers. He's interviewing them explaining what could possibly be happening, what the hacker could be doing. It's really cool. That's that's the best guy that you want to be in contact with, essentially. Yeah, man, apparently he was just insane. Like he's got three black badges from those hacker conventions. Yeah, he's got like these banned twenty million people. Who's worked as a Blizzard for twenty years. He hacked power plants for the federal government to check for vulnerablity tests. Right, yeah, yeah, test man, it's fucking insane. Yeah, it's cool anyway. If that sounds interesting to you, check it out Pirate Software on YouTube. He just released the video apex Legends Vulnerabilities. Check it out. It's fucking cool anyway. Oh yes, what is it? Yeah? Okay, he wants to bring it in with little history lesson on what Isonzo is. Oh okay, okay, so let's let's take other Daniel. You there, wake up? What the fuck was that? A? Well, guys, I would like to start off with a little history lesson about the Isanzo War. Lend me your ears please. The Issanzo Front was a major theater of operations during World War One, located along the Issanzo River on the Eastern Front between Italy and Austria Hungary. The war on This front lasted from May nineteen fifteen to November nineteen seventeen. Italy initiated the conflict with an offensive aimed at capturing territory from Austria Hungary. The Italian strategy was to break through the heavily fortified Austro Hungarian positions in the Alps and pushed towards the Austrian plans. Despite eleven major offensives by the Italians, the front saw little territorial change due to the rugged terrain and strong Austro Hungarian defenses torow The battles were characterized by trench warfare and resulting in significant casualties on both sides. The Isanzo Front was known for its exceptionally high casualty rates, with soldiers enduring harsh conditions including extreme cold in the winter and stifling heat in the summer. Disease, particularly malaria, also took a heavy toll on troops. The mountainous terrain of the Alps posed significant challenges for both sides, necessitating specialized mountain warfare tactics and equipment. Both Italian Alpini and Austro Hungarian Kaiserjegger units played crucial roles in the fighting. The prolonged stalemate and heavy losses on the Isanzo Front contributed to widespread discontent and disillusionment in Italy. This dissatisfaction played a significant role in the rise of nationalist and interventionist sentiments, eventually leading to Italy's entry into World War One on the side of the Allies. The battles of the Asanzo Front left a lasting impact on the collective memory of Italy and Slovenia. Today, numerous memorials, cemeteries, and museums along the former frontline serve as reminders of the sacrifices made during the conflict. Wow, wow, Daniel, those riveting, fucking riveting, sexy and smart yeez. So thanks for that, Danel the history lesson of the Isanzo War. It was World War One. We won't talk about any more history. Hell, let loose. Is the World War II shooter though, is it not? Yes? Yes, So a bit of a difference there to begin with. So what we're going to do here is we're just going to go through some points in the notes. I just smacked some points there that we can talk about. We'll go back and forth what we liked, what we didn't like, and compare the two. So we have done a few streams with Gillis and Empire playing Ianzo and it was a hell of a time. If you guys haven't watched that one, there's two streams up there, about three hours each. The first one I've put some time stamps in the second one I didn't even bother but super fun time. There were some crazy games in that. There was some crazy games in that, definitely, and the first one, like coming back, I had no there's no way, I mean, I didn't think there was any way we would have we were going to cross that one bridge. Yeah, Like we had to cross the bridge and take the point on the other side. Just the whole time they were just basically aiming at us while we were trying to get across. Just I died so many fucking times. But we just needed one little breakthrough. I think it was like a bridge we had to like create. Someone had to craft the bridge. Yeah, bridge throwing down just like in like the marsh and like the swamp, like crafting the bridge and it was like boom and then we were like oh and we could go. All you see is people start flushing, freshing. Yeah, we just had to get to the little hill because they were on top of the hill shooting, piping at us, and we just had to get to the bottom so they kind of couldn't see us. We had to get there. But man, what a fucking game that was. And it was like went to overtime. It was absolutely crazy. Constantly. I feel I felt like we performed better when the overtime music started. All right, now is our time to shine? Yeah, we gotta we gotta do this. Speaking of music, can we throw the asans of music in here afterwards? Like whenever we're going getting into the main topic, start with the Assanzo menu music cut. It is fucking epic. It's so good, so fucking sweet that it's so good. But like a lot of this game is, it's there's so much vert verticality. Is that the word? Yeah? All the every game is one is completely against against like all odds. Yes, that's exactly what Daniel was saying in his overwinded history Lesson that the Italians were always just getting mowed down, right, constantly getting mowed down. I think the US is very hard. The Austro Hungarian army was like, please Italians stop, We're tired of killing you. Please stop. And then they're like no Italian. Yeah, it's it's very apparent in this game that that was the goal and like you have to over crazy to make a game like that though, to heavily disadvantage one side so much, Like that's insane to me, but it's you do it, and like when you when you win, you're just like, oh that was so crazy. Yeah fuck yeah yeah man, I was one of my high points. Like the verticality is one of its best strengths and like weaknesses because it is so fucking frustrating if you can't break through that like first line of defense. Yeah, oh my god, yeah, my god. Uh. As for hell Let Loose, I was able to put a few hours into it before this coming episode. We were doing a lot of things. I was trying to get the merch store open and all that kind of stuff. But I was able to play hell Let Loose for a total of maybe eight hours. I think it was. Before doing this, Jonathan has a few hours in it. I had played it played four night. I'd played it before and then we played the other night for a little bit. But yeah, not much at all, not maybe a couple hours maybe, And Gil, how many you got out in here twenty five Okay, okay, So and I've got I've got almost all the footage, almost all my game time I actually have uploaded onto YouTube. So that is my for the hell Let Loose. For hell Let Loose, Yes, yeah, yeah, but the majority of the playtime is is on there because that's more of a mill sim, right, yeah than Ianzo would. Definitely, Definitely, I would consider that more mill sim still has a lot of Arcadi features, but definitely. Uh So when you say Arcadi features, what do you mean? Uh, you know, just just the movement, the fact that you can sprint forever in hell Let Loose. The uh so you're just able to sprint and there's no what's the term fatigue when you're aiming down sites. That that's that's a big that's a big Arcadie feature. That's something that no mill sim would let you dare do. It would sing like you should be breathing heavier percent. Yes, yes, is that thing in other games? I know one hundred percent. I actually get plagued by it in Squad to the point where the community always reminds me, they're like, don't don't sprint around all the time. So like you ate after sprinting. Yeah, yeah, I actually have shorts. That's showing me. And I showed myself off and I'll be sprinting and then I aimed down my sights and I'm looking down and your gun is jam. It's just the sway, the sway, the breath after sprinting so long. This sway is so bad, and and I went, wow, they need really and I said, I went, they need to tone this down. And the community jumped down my throat like no, you you've never been in the military before, you're not a police enforcement you've never fired a gun before. It's like I have. I have. And I actually spoke to some coworkers that have that are in the CIF or have been in the forces. I said, is it like that? And they went no, they said they could. They said there are times where you have to run back and forth. But you you're they you're trained in a way where you're always going to be conserved. You have conserved energy to aim down sites and always yeah, always, yeah, because you're trained. You're probably trained so much that when you're doing all this stuff, there's got to be some kind of reserve in your mind. Some Yeah, you got to stop, won't be able to kill people control your breathing, Yeah, exactly. Yeah, that's why they got you marching for how many minds they're training exactly so. But I mean that's fine, you know, that's uh, I mean, to each their own, right, But there's definitely pros and cons to Isonzo and your Sons and the and hell Let Loose Sons of very Arcadie. I like that though. I like that. Yeah, it's more of a fucking video game, more of a game. I like the hop in hop out mentality, the quick games. Oh talking about quick quick, Well, we say quick, but if you've played, if you've played hell Let loosely there, that Loose has a quicker game mode, which is much Yeah, well that it does. Sorry, I'm breaking off into the into the time lengths. God, it's I've played hell Let Loose games that have lasted over two hours. Yeah, oh yeah, three hours. Yeah, just because you're just going back and forth, and that's I think that's a lot of people's no time to play that for like for these people there, it's like there, I don't know D and D game right, Yeah, so you want to sit down and play like four hours of one board game. Yeah, like, oh, I'm gonna play hell Let Loose with my squad to night and we're gonna sim that bitch, and we're gonna play three hours of this and we're gonna take Germany. All that. Its one game. You're gonna be sweat, you're gonna be point what's it called the strong point? The strong point, and take that strong point and we're gonna sit in there and fucking shoot at people you can't see, and get by people you don't know where they are. But I mean the same thing in Ianzo. Yeah, I ever know where anyone is shooting me. So we sat down the other night and I was like, okay, well, I don't want to play a two hour fucking game. So we saw that there was another mode called like single Point whatever. I don't remember. It was just one point that you fight over until the time ends. Yeah, and whoever has accident, whoever has possession of the flag is wins. I don't know that that was good. That one was good. That was that was hell Let Loose. Yeah, yeah, you got quick game mode. Oh you got to tell me that I cannot play hell Let Loose on work days. That's how bad it is. Because I don't know how long I'm going to be in the game. Eactly, I don't want to because you wasted your time, yeah exactly. No, Yeah, this is like it's one point. You just go at it and there is a time limit, and then at the end, whoever has it wins. I think that that's the only way I would play hell Hell let loose. After oh yeah, for what my experiences with it, which we'll get through through this little versus, but ianso that let's jump in. Let's let's go into my first point. Okay, so after that's a little intro, we got the history lesson, we got what what the two are or more is Sonso is more of an arcady shooter pushing the line, while hell itt Loose is more sim with some arcade feels or some arcade stuff going on. But it's it's more of a military i'd say, squad really like getting those orders and listening to your commanders and all that stuff to get your objectives completely. Yeah, I sounds so not much. You don't really listen to uh, you don't have to listen to my whistle, go over run that bush. But yeah, and then like spawning because of a whistle like spawn faster the whistle. But let's jump into the graphics and just compare the two quickly here. So Icenzo's graphics very well done. I was very impressed when I first booted up Ianzo. This game was what three years old? Yes, what is this four years old? Twenty nineteen, and I was like, holy fuck. I was like, this looks great, this looks great. I cranked all the graphics up and just being in those like the trenches and like the rock walls and the textures on everything a fucking sick. It was very nice. The gun models are very nice. Everything's very nice. But I think like the the way they can get that because smoky, Yeah, is because is the did you guys find the arenas much smaller than I? Sons? Right? They are definitely yeah, yeah, like like where you're going and where you have to get to is a lot more. The map is small dense. Yeah, the map is much smaller than they do it. They do a good job at making I don't really remember the big map and hell let loose because the quick games that we were playing were small, hell let loose maps like the huge like original modes fucking massive. It's because they're accurate. It's because they and that's something that they pride themselves in. So Stalingrad, for example, is Stalingrad, that is the that was how it looked, so it was a big city. Nice, that's scale to scale, yeah to scale. Yeah, so I'm running through the city of Stalingrad when I play Hell Let Loose. Yes, yes, yeah, they have images of what it looks like when back in World War Two and what it looks like in hell Let Loose, and they it's something they do pride themselves in and that's something that they use against other MISSIM games like Squad Really cool though, that is cool. I don't know. They both looked good. I mean, I don't know really which have had the edge. I don't maybe ice on so I don't know. The smoke looked really cool too, and the particle and the smoking stuff and Hell It Loose is fucking sick. Yeah, when the planes are dropping, the bombs are walking, artillery barrush the Prometheus artillery brush yeah, side step it. Also, the gore in Hell at Loose is disgusting, like bodies like just explode, and I don't think it's like that. And I saan zo i don't. I don't recall seeing that, but you can you shoot people's limbs off and stuff, and I though, yeah, but it's not his bloody I don't think. No, like I saw like man explode the helmets, red mist, red mists. Yeah that's what call me, Call me red Mist. Was that Hell at Loose or that's when we were playing, Oh okay, yeah, that's the only way I could tell if I got to kill and in in Hell at Loose, it is like otherwise you have no idea, Like sometimes you don't even see that. Like if you get a body shot, I'm like, oh, I think I don't even know that you killed the guy. If he's far enough away, you're like, well, I think I got him. But if you see that red Mist, that confirmation, yeah, call me red Mist. I was getting kills. I was just like, could help tell, And I couldn't tell until the end of the match. Whenever you see your score, like you can't even check your score. Oh no, you can't. When you die, I think you can check your score, right, yeah, when you're there for two minutes waiting to get fucking revived. Yeah, oh man. But Hell at Loose I was more gritty I felt the feel and the look was more gritty the lower quality models of the guns I found definitely in Hell at Loose it didn't look as nice looking at my gun. When I'm playing an FPS, I don't really care about anything else. I want my gun to look sick. I don't know what it is. I just I feel it. I like what I like looking at my gun, and I saw azo. I found myself looking at my gun more often than not than I did in Hell It Loose. But like the atmosphere in Hell It Loose is sweet, like it's muck. You know, it's gritty, it's muck, it's dark, and you're fighting through the World War two. It reminds me of the movies, Like I'm playing like a movie that I really liked. In Hell Let Loose, like we said, the explosions whenever the bombs are coming down, just this big smoke bombs and it's just dust everywhere. Really well done. In Hell Let Loose. I thought that was really sweet. Yeah, yes, definitely the sound as well. Yes, so anything else on there, guys, you want to did you guys experience anything other than that for any other game? The there wasn't any destructible environments in any of these, right, I don't believe so, so whenever I don't know, so whenever you bomb something, there's no crater that has made has been made like in hell Divers Nope, okay, great, correct, No, there's like that Inonzo either. Just the footsteps in the snow level. Yeah, oh yes, yeah, man, that snow level looks so good all the all the mountain. Yeah, anytime you're on a mountain, it just looks amazing. You just look out, You're like, wow, you're expecting to see the guy. It's like dead spawn die spawn die yet, which leads us into the next point. Sound mm hmmm, Johnthan, what do you gotta say about the sound? Uh? I think hell at LUs had a better sound. But I think the reason why is because it has to be because of how little information you get visually, you know what I mean? From just like what is happening around and where where your opponent is and and what is going on around do the sound is is almost like heightened, you know, because you don't have anything else, like where are these guys? Can you hear them? Like? Can you hear them screaming? If they get shot? If you get raised or whatever. You can hear them say something, you hear the gunshunts, you hear like everything, and it's pretty cool. I sonso is not really like that? I don't. I don't remember really noticing the sound like in Hell It Loose, the positional sound. I'm gonna talk positional sound first, from what I can remember, and Isanzo, I don't remember ready, Yeah, because it's just madness that game. It's just constant madness and dying over and over again. That's true. It's much faster, so yeah, yeah, it's a lot faster, more happening. But in Hell It Loose, I didn't find the positional sound great either. Like I remember being outside of a barn and I'm like, don't hear anything. Let's because somebody crouched there, and then you don't hear that. Yeah, I suppose, but then he was killing people in the barn. Yeah, but you didn't hear any screaming in the barn. So I just run right in the barn and there's like a pile of bodies and he's like running around and he runs up and he fucking knifes me. Had shots at that Hell let loose? No one's I think it's because no one is running around in that game. Everyone's crouched ever and just everyone's Yeah. But the actual sound effects, like the quality of the sound and hell, let loose, it was very good, very good. Like the cracking of those those bullets and the guns, and like the just the popping when you're popping off shots. Oh, it's so satisfying. I went into the training and I went to go shoot some just to listen to it. I want to go shoot the dummies and the targets. Man, it sound good, sounds so good. Yeah, I definitely noticed it, for sure. For sure, I sounds with them. I don't I don't think I can really write home about the sound and what I can hear. And I sounds other than these guys screaming after their Yeah, after you run them through at the bay net and they're and they're screaming in Italian. Oh man, that I have one clip of. I don't know if I shared it with you, Gillis, but this one clip where I'm in this little fucking shack and these guys are rushing in and one after the other, I'm just killing them as they four or five guys in the same sequence. Yeah, I'm like I'm like, oh, fucking the other guy comes in and then I'm like skewering him and like I couldn't. I had to reload, so I had to keep skewing them. It was funny, man. But they're just like all screaming, yeah, one after the other. It was hilarious. They screamed for a very a long time, like they're always like, okay, shut up and die. It's so traumatic. It's fucking funny though, But that's what Italians are, right, Maybe they maybe they put that in there because of it. Fuck man. Ah, yeah, I don't know. I enjoyed it though. It's enjoyable. It's an enjoyable experience. Other than like now we'll lead into uh uh gils, do you have anything or sound with the sound? Anything about the sound? Uh, it's same same thing like I sound, so you're you're you're dying so much that you can't really absorb the sound or anything. Yeah, and with hell let loose. I would agree with with with what Nate said, like the positional is is not not the best. I I do have trouble hearing people that are close by or in some sort of direction, but the overall sound is fantastic. Yeah, yeah, definitely. Oh, Daniel Nathaniel. Sometimes I wonder how you know all the stuff you do. It's like you you were born for this. I completely agree with everything you always say. Is that it? Oh thanks Daniel, Wow, thanks for that. Yeow, most of what I say is correct. Well, I don't know about a new man. Wow, he's Dan has really turned a new leave. Yeah, it seems like he's he's getting into the conversation over there, lying on, lying on his bed, rolling over. Okay, so sound if I had to say, it's because I think it's because I saw so you're always dying, Like Gil said, Hello, Luci're alive for maybe thirty seconds more on average then I saw I was. I was alive for five minutes once and yeah, that's impressed. Loose. That does not happen, Iceanzo eight seconds maybe? Yeah. Like you spawn if you you can get into like a spawning uh like we was just spawn and die like fifteen times in a row. Like literally, you spawn and the guy shoots you again, the same guy. He's watching the spawn points because he knows where they are, and he'll just keep sniping you and there's nothing you can do until the guy in the the guy in the bush that yell at me to go look for you, to get the smokes smokes down. Yeah, get the smokes down. Put some gas down, you know. Man. Sometimes fuck he drove me absolutely insane. Oh yeah, absolutely fucking insane. PTSD and sleeping. I can't after those nights the bush, the bush, I dream of some guy hiding in a bush. I swear he was there, but gils want to go check. There was no one there, no one. It's worse. And I'll let lose people in fucking bushes. Oh yes, yeah, yeah, we see them at all the hedges and norm in France and Normandy all there. Yeah you can well because they put the spawn points in the hedges in hell, let loose like all the bushes have spawn points of them because the leader will put them build them there. Yeah. Oh man. Moving on to just uh, I guess the we'll go just a quick game modes. I just put a few in here. There's only one game mode in Asanzo, right. Uh, it's just the attack Defend. I had to look it up and it says I and I even wrote it down. I said, there's three different sub modes. Mountain War straight Expedition and sixth Battle of Isanzo. But it's under the main mode called Offensive, right, okay, so it like cycles through during the matchmaking, so you can't really choose the mode you're playing. It doesn't seem like it. It like hands you whatever mode whenever you go into the match. Yeah. I don't recall there being anything really different. So there's no short Yeah, so there's no shortening of Isanzo games. You're in there for the three parts of that match. Yeah, yeah, and that's the that's the match, is the three parts of that match, so you have to go through each one of those. So Isonzo can get pretty long, Like our four hour stream was only two two matches, I think, well, no matches, No, it was like four or five. Oh, there's multiple games. Oh, they're like forty minutes maybe for a long game if it's kind of drawn out, but still that's pretty long. It's pretty long for some if you want to just jump into an Isonzo game. But you're going to be in there for a good forty minutes, half hour, forty minutes, which is it's decent, I guess, especially when you're doing those like push games. Battlefield is like that too, Yes, like doing the hard point in Battlefield. Hard point is that what it's going on? Whatever, conquest, rush rushes rush, Rush is pretty easy. Rush is faster, I know. Yeah, But like I was playing Battlefield twenty forty two the other night and it took me like from beginning to end. It was a long match because the maps fucking massive and there's like six different flags that you have to go conquest, right, but it's kind of in the same lines as that Hell Let Loose. On the other hand, there's I think three game modes. I believe I was actually supposed to look that up. I haven't written down. Oh for the modes for the okay, then you take it over there two Offensive and warfare. Yeah, but there was a third one which we we we played it just for help for hell Let Loose, and it says offensive is one team attacks, one defense and warfare's standard conquest. Then there's a third one. It's got to be a third one because we played one where it was just like both teams are fighting over this one spot. What the hell is it called? I don't know. I I pulled that off the site off of like them, off of the Hell That Loose steps Warfare yeah, and I wish they would just call it. There should just be a standard where it's like the conquest, captured a flag, you know, capture defend it, because like, why call it offensive? It's like, what's offensive? What is that? It's like, well, one team is on the offensive and then one team's defending it makes and then warfare It's like, okay, well what's warfare? Oh? The standard conquest, So just call a conquest. It's not like EA has a monopoly or some like copyright claim to the word conquest. Oh, but maybe a lot of people don't want to associate themselves with EA and what they call their modes. Yeah, well, I mean it's it's it's like back in the two thousands when what was it called hord mode. Every game had some sort of Horde mode and they all called it something. But at the end of the day, we all just called it hoard mode because I believe it was here's a war or here's a war called it du that just coined the term, and then we just all called it that. It's all like gamer gamer speak, gamer language. So we all get on the same page quick. We just go to whatever most popular game is and what the hell they called normally whatever, the most popular or the first one that did it. Yeahs, it's either or still try to find it. There is a third mode. We played it last night. I think it's just called like fuck, what is it called? Maybe it's new, Maybe it's new. You know what I apparently control skirmish. Oh, control skirmsh hell, let loose new game mode, control skirmish. So it is new, it's new like U this month. Okay, it's funny you mentioned that, because there is another new game mode in Friggin Nisanzo. It's a it was called Ascent Mode. Oh, but I couldn't find I don't know if it's out they I think they just released it on Steam, like the news that they're going to be releasing this game mode, but they have no information on it. Okay. I was quick looking like coming, I say, yes, it's part of their road map. Okay, cool, yeah, okay, nice? Yeah, because they released the roadmap and I so I was reading over it and then I was like, oh, yeah they you know, the guys want to know for game modes, and I went, what the hell is Scent mode? What is that? Nice? That's when you have to send up the mountain against again. It sounds like just another version of go up the mountain and die. Maybe they climb, maybe maybe you're maybe you're climbing the side of the mountain. While there, you bring a good point because they in the picture for acent mode it had climbing gear. Oh nice, ice picks and ropes. Yeah. Yeah, so while people are picking you off the side of the mountain, so the picture will be well, we'll try it even to die. I did find the third Hell at Loose game mode called Control Skirmish. That's the one we played the other night, and it is brand new this month, March four. So that's why Gillis couldn't find it on their website. So they have three modes. Now, we played the Control Skirmish. What were the other two philis The other two was offensive then that's where one team attacks one defense. And then there's warfare, which is standard conquest, which is the big one. That's well, that's the big one where you're fighting over points and the lines can go back and forth. Yeah. And then to address a question you had earlier there, John O, he said, doesn't it end anytime the teams capture a point, the timer stacks on it. Adds time to the overall timer. Oh so it just never ends. Sometimes never ends. Yeah. So if the so the attacking team and defending team, the defending teams, the attacking team is pushing those lines right, and once they win, once they take a flag or a point, that adds ten minutes, it'll add. It'll add some sort of time or whatever. I can't remember how much, but it will. Yeah. And sometimes you'll get to the point where you say, you have six points and one team will capture five of six and if they don't, if they don't capture that last point, they still win, but the timer will run down. But say, if the defending team will capture the second and third, fourth, it will just go right back up. And that's where you have really two plus hour games. So even if the attackers say they take two or three spots and the time goes up, when the defender takes those back, the time goes up again. Time will go back up. Yes, wow, how much time, I'm not sure, but I've seen it go back up. I've been I've been on the losing side and we've taken a second objective and the time and I think, oh, I'm almost done, and I look, I go. Yeah, Like, last time I checked, it was six minutes left in the game, and I checked thirty six minutes. Wow, oh my god, I did hear. That's when you start hearing everybody in colms going please God just let it end. Yeah. Yeah, war as hack boys, that's what the people live for that play that game though, just that push that struggle too much of a struggle. Yeah, it's it's quite a bit of a struggle there. But those are the game modes. Frankly. The control skirmish was fun. I like to play it. I'll probably play more of that. I played on PS five because getting into hell at Loose on the game Pass version is impossible. You can't do it. Don't even try still, it just doesn't. I played Hell Loose on controller, which I'm not fond of. Would I play ice Ons on on Melton key, which is much better? So yeah, a bit different. Well that's because we had to try to get everyone in a game, so everyone's on. I didn't want to buy Hell Loose and the the the version they offer on for free is on game Pass for PC, and it's I have not once been able to get into a game. I've tried multiple times, the servers are always full. If they're not full, I go to I go pressing and I can't connect and I can never get into a game on the game pass version. So I was like, fuck it, I'll just play it on console, and on console I get in no problem. Well you can't argue about that, so we all just played on console. The last time I played, which was okay. Like for the Series S, I was impressed. I played on the PS five and the Series S. I was quite impressed with how it handled it. I thought I was expecting. I was expecting it to be a blurry, pixelated mess of garbage. But it wasn't too bad. I played on PC. It was fine. Four K four K, it was fine. It was fine. So let's talk about the gameplay. Did we not talk about the gameplay? Oh? Yes, this is the next point. Sorry, scratch what I just said. I had difficulty next because I skipped the game modes so that we could talk about the gameplay in a better understanding. So let's roll in the gameplay here, I sawn Zo. The terrain is really where this game shines, like the big mountain drops and the verticality we're talking before being the biggest, biggest strengths and weaknesses in this game. And it sounds like you're always climbing up the hills and the mountains and going through those trenches. It's really like grounded, you know, like you're really like always trying to look for any kind of cover something something, yeah, something. Obviously if I could use bodies, I would use bodies. But yeah, you will die if you are not hiding, you will just you will die either way, but more so you just you'll die for the grenade that you have no idea is at your feet because you don't hear it or see it. That's that's like what happens in Isanzo. Like the grenades you have no idea and they take a long time to explode, so even if you do see so long you're like, okay, that was a grenade, where did it go? And how much time do I have? And then you like run away and it doesn't explode to like five seconds after it's like what the fuck? Yeah, I've tried, Like because unlocking some of your guns, like your steps in Isonzo, to get new weapons, you have to do certain certain challenges challenge I've never done those, kill like five people or grenade. Are you fucking kidding me? Ye? People are already dead before I even tossed the grenade. Yeah, shoot them like shoot me. Yeah, Like you have to get them. You have to get like random grenade kills, like just like tossing grenades. Yeah, I think that's how I got them. Yeah. It's like I just ran into and it was like I heard the shooting. I was like, what, toss my grenades in there? And then I pray that somebody potatoes so long and they bounce around like stupidly, very stupid out they bounce around. It's like there's a guy right in front of me, or like a guy I know he's in that trench and I'm like, I throw it in there, and it goes in and goes and it pops out of the trench and like goes outside, like what the fuck up out there? Well the game plays that. These are two pretty different experiences with Isanzo. I prefer it just because it feels more like a video game. It's a bit less realistic. I guess you say, you can actually check your score and see how many gills you have. I can check the scoreboard during the game. There's more of a UI hell let lose very minimal ui because it's more Arcadie. The guns are a bit quicker and snappier, which which isn't saying much. Yeah, hell let loose because they're still fucking slow. But I can like quick scope guys and fucking do some form of you know, flashy shooting in Ianzo, whereas in hell At Loose there's no chance. But I was playing on a controller, so I guess that's not happening. It's not that much different mouse and keyboard, but the game modes I think I like better and hell let loose because you're not constantly like one sided pushing up a hill, you know, depending on what team you're on in Isanzo, like you're either that one night ship team yeah, that is going to be very hard to win, or you're defending which that one night and I think we only got attackers, right, Yeah, the one night we were attacking all the time, and we were just getting mowed down just constantly. I mean, and you can only take so much. Yeah, yeah, like we were from the bottom, like going down. You were going on every match, every fucking match. Yeah. It was rough, it was rough, But in Hell It Loose, it's like it's much more of an even field, it seems, and so that makes for a little bit less frustrating, I guess, But the game is completely it's more, it's slower, it's it's definitely more realistic for sure. So if that is the kind of thing you're into, then maybe that could be for you. But I really like Asanzo. I don't know. It's kind of similar in Hell It Loose, I guess with the with the officer, and you have because Gills, you would play the officer. You would play our officer, and we loved it. We'd be like I'd be scouting, I'd be shooting up flares, and then you just drop some fucking bombs or put some smoke down. But we were constantly doing something, whereas in Hell Let Loose, you're not constantly doing something. You are either crawling in a bush across a field very slowly. Like it's not the same at all, Like you're pushing the lines a lot slower in Hell Let Loose, Yeah, a lot slower. Then Like then gillis behind the desk, He's like, okay, mark some spots for me to drop this gas bomb or drop these artillery shells. In Hell It loose, like you need to know what Also in hell it looses. Whoever makes the squad is the squad leader and the and you can't get out of that role, so like you're stuck as the officer. So like for people who just want to jump in and play, I think that's another thing, is like I don't want to talk to somebody. I don't want to join someone in the squad. I want my own squad where I'll do my own thing. And people fucking hate that, yep. And then I'll make my own squad and I'll like I'm stuck as an officer in the squad. I have no fucking clue what I'm doing. And then people are like, let me in your squad, Let me in your squad, and they're like keep spamming you permission to get in the squad, like or they or they take your squad lead. Yeah, oh yeah yeah yeah yeah. And then and hell at Lucy, you have to listen to the commander who is above all squads, right, he's giving the overhall orders. Yeah, yeah, the overall orders. Where to dog, yeah, where to refuel, where to get put your animals down? For engineers, like what squad should be where and all this stuff, and I'm like listening to this guy fucking just Yap on the on the mic co mute this guy your commander, Mute this fucking blow hard? Who is this guy? So dogsqu what are you doing? I think he's patting like, oh my god, you're never gonna get to Berlin, so could you let some people into your squad please? Oh my soldier. He's like he's gonna he's gonna come to you with his jeep and he'd be like, what are you doing? Do you have me muted? Yeah, he's certainly like beating you in the game overall. Yeah, I'd say it's more Loosey Goosey and Sonzo and I like that where it's it's more like more Katie. I don't like the whole. I gotta lock in for two hours, two and a half hours, three hours sometimes for hell Lose to enjoy game. I have to talk to people to actually accomplish something. But like you said, it's like it's almost like a raid night. You're gonna go play. You're gonna play hell Let loose. Yeah, you're gonna have me. You're gonna set two hours and you're gonna play a match and if you have a bunch of friends, then I guess, yeah, that's that's what you do. Like when we were playing the three of us in the Hell It Lose, it was fun, but it was a smaller It was like the small control skirmish we fight over the one spot that was that was fun. It's much more somilar than similar to Isanzo, than like the main game mode. I guess yeah, because it's just quicker. It's way quicker. That would make it more approachable for me. Yeah, personally, and I think a lot of people. I think that's probably why they made it. Yeah, right, Like okay, people aren't coming in and spending two and a half hours. We've got games that are so quick, and then then you have hell let Loose Risk? Yeah, like allies. Dude, Man, I met a guy. I play hockey with a guy Sunday night who is one of the top ranked Risk mobile players. What like Risk the app? How did that come out in conversation? I don't know, ill I told him. I think I told him I was I played games and he's a big gamer. And like this guy's like ten years older than me, he's like fifty two or something. Actually, it was his birthday on that day, fifty two years old. This guy's got twelve hundred hours in Fortnite, okay, and like he has an over two point zero kill death ratio in Fortnite. Oh well, he said he used to be the top ranked player in the world in the game Cohon two. Do you know what this game is? I had to look at up. It's from like two thousand and four. It's like an RTS game. It's an RTS game from two thousand and four when he was the top player. He said, similar, fucking it's like a I don't know, like a like a Age's Age of Empires, like real time like he's Real Time Strategy or real turn basin. Yeah, this looks like an AoE kind of like Lords of the Realm. It looks like it's copy something else that was more popular. Yeah, but he said he would play against fucking three guys at a time and beat them and everyone would always tell like, say he was cheating and all this shit. But yeah, he has forty seven hundred hours in risk in Risk Mobile. Wow, Like he's one of the top plays. Wow. That's a lot of pooping. Oh man, it's fucking funny. But anyway, I don't know how it got into that. But what were we talking about. We're gonna move on here to We're gonna well, we did the gameplay everything else. We're just gonna jump right into the recommend recommend, recommend which one over the other? And why I believe Daniel has something to say? Real quick? Actually here is why like hell Let Loose? You guys ready, hell Let Loose strives for realism, offering an authentic World War two experience. From historically accurate weapons and equipment to detailed maps based on real lokays, The game immerses players in the atmosphere of the conflict. The game emphasizes teamwork and strategic coordination. Players must work together to capture objectives, control territory, and defeat the enemy. Communication and cooperation are key to success, making for a rewarding experience for players who enjoy tactical gameplay. The game also fosters a strong sense of community among players, whether teaming up with friends or meeting new allies in game, hell Let Loose offers opportunities for social interaction and camaraderie. But sometimes, man, I hate those fucking mouth breathers on comms. Geez do they not know how to mute their stupid mouths and their weird mouth sounds like moist slops with their lips. It grosses me out, like fuck man, mhm wow, Okay, thanks, that's cool. Yeah, slops like the mouse really feel geez, that so stupid. It's actually Daniel's like notes, Daniel, they'll give you notes to say on this. Are you Are you sure? I just I just know Daniel very well. That's all this mouse slops mouth slops in the mouths in the mouth camarader, someone goetta capture on him quick? Oh my god for me? Uh. Overall, I'd say I'm more of Anzo guy. I liked. I like the movement, the movement around that. I like getting up and down those hills and just the way it looks. I just love the whole style of Isanzo and the spirit behind it with the music and just the amount of yelling and spirituage. The spirit. Yeah, the spirit of the game I find is more engaging in Ianzo, and I find myself getting pulled towards Ianzo more than I would ever. Hell it Loose, just because Hell it Loose is so daunting into the fact that net while without the new game mode. I'd have to have spent two hours playing hell Loose and it's not for me. So Isanzo I can actually I don't know, I can see people in Ianso, and I can actually kill people in Isanzo. Hell It Loose, I don't see it. Many kills in Isanzo. Yeah, so like, yeah, hell It Lose is completely different. Yeah. So, like I enjoy killing people, so I like to kill people in Ianzo since I can do it okod, but in Hell Loose that never happens. The thing is, you also die a lot in Ianzo, so it's it's a real toss up. But I've had more fun playing Asanzo, and it's just more a spirited game. So I mean I'll leave at that. I recommend Isanzo over hell Let Loose. What about you, guys? Mm hmm. I would agree. It's just more of a quicker pace. It's a quicker pace, it's it's more engaging, less waiting. But I mean depends, like if you're if it's an ass for every seat, right, So if you are into that you want to be a slow, more methodical, quieter game, then then obviously hell Let Loose is I would play hell Let Loose again like if I if I could play it on PC, I want to. I wouldn't want to try it, but but yeah, I Sonzo was super fun, especially with with a squad and you're all doing your roles. It's very cool, very very cool. Check out our stream the time stamps. The time stamps on the streams are hilarious. So yeah, yeah, I made sure to like pinpoint the funny parts. Yeah, but yeah, I would recommend Ianso for the more casual gamer. I guess, yeah, Gil, what about you? Yeah, three out of three I'd recommend I Sanso as well. Now this is coming from somebody that plays Squad, which is super similar to hell Let Loose in the terms of how long the games are, yeah, and the millsim Field. But for some reason and the community already knows, I have some sort of weird animosity towards hell Let Loose. It's like it's like some weird bastard child that I just don't want to accept or love. It's like like I hold Squad to this like high pedestal. I'm like, oh, my golden child, and it's like, hell let Loose, get out of here. But it's like they're so similar in a lot of aspects, but I just don't like hell let loose. For some reason, I will keep playing it. I understand there's a large community and there's a large fan, but I just I'm not a fan in comparison to my Sonso where it's like you guys said, it's quick gameplay. H well, quicker gameplay with nice nice graphics, good sound. You know, it's it's there's not too much to grasp. It's it's easy to it's easy to look at, it's very pretty. You die a lot, but you also it's like you said, quicker response, Yeah, when you get those the impossible tasks, but when you finally overcome them, it's like such a relief and such a feeling of exhilaration. You know. It's like when you crest over that hill that yeah, and you're in the trenches and you're poking everybody that rushing a point, like rushing a point that we need to get overtime, and it's there's nothing better than killing the guy that's killed you seventeen times in the last five minutes, and you're like, you're dead. I'll see you in five minutes on the next show, you know. So yeah, yeah, that overtime. That overtime win on the the vineyard map on Ianzo was probably peak like. That was some of the best gaming experience I've ever had. It was fucking between the gas, the explosions, the fact that music is blaring and all of us are yelling at each other to one of us just not to die. It's like, it's like, somebody, just stay alive. So it was just the timer is done, it's we're in overtime. We need to capture this point or we will lose the game. None of it will matter. That's you can't. That was you could not replicate that, unfortunately, and hell Let Loose that I've never been able to, not with the not with the double time, the twelve extra hours I've put into hell at Loose, I've never been able to recreate something like that. Nice. Well, oh, I think Daniel has one last thing to stay here. Well, the thing with Ianzo is it it's just a better overall game than hell Let Loose Like. The The amount of time sink hell Let Loose Like is insane. You have to sit there for two and a half hours getting sniped by a bunch of pussies lying on flower fields. Then you got to rely on your dumb ass teammates to know what they're doing, you know. Perfect. Yeah, it's so. I think he's that's a four. That's a four for is though, like four people I like. I like this version of Daniel. He's really he's really coming out of a shell. He's super direct. Not a lot of people are gonna like it, but you know he's got a stance. Yeah I could respect that. Oh my god. Go all right, Well I think that's it. Is that it all right? I think that's it. Gillis just to plug your plug your channel here real quick, what you do and uh yeah, do your little plug here? Yeah you got one. Yeah, it's playing more Squad Podcast Edition Nasty Night, Take it easy, Johnna Basials game. Are we playing Squad? I don't. It's on sale right now, I think, I don't. No, it's a great game. But if if you're not into the lower stuff where I play the millsim games and I try to show off other games as well. I try to do a lot of first impressions, you know, on my channel, and I like to show the good, the bad, and the ugly of everything. I would like to introduce more of other material, But it seems like my channel has been labeled as the squad channel. That's it. So that's okay, it's it's my channel. I like to put stuff. I'm gonna put whatever I like on it. And because it's in the channel description, it is just about gaming. It's everything that I play, and I'm gonna have footage big or small, you know, And that's that's it actually brings up. Do you guys talk about like upcoming games? Do you guys ever bring that up? Not very often. There's a there's another one that's coming out. There's in April. I thought you guys might be interested in. It's called Manor Lords and that's a Manor Lords. Yeah, and Medieval another Medieval and it's a uh and it's a city building strategy game. So it's going to incorporate city building with Total War esque mechanics. And it's being made to get this by one guy and it looks a lot like it's crazy, Henry, it's crazy. Oh, don't get me started on Hendy. It's crazy. Just so this game has been and it's a big deal because there's two million. It's it's got two million people on the wish list. It's coming out end of April, and I want to start posting that footage. I don't know how it's going to do on the channel. Do you know you're going to have like millsim games and then it's like watch us creates Stabbing Shield. Yeah, and it's it's gonna the community might be like, well, that's interesting, that's very interesting, very weird, but it's I love. I love playing those games too, exactly exactly like they're they're gonna get their squad fix, you will, They're gonna they'll they'll get the squad will but sometimes you gotta play something every Wednesday, every Sunday, you'll get your squad fix and then and then in between you'll get other videos as well. Nice and I would like to do more collaborations with you guys and and with others if possible. You know, we'll see We're down that we saw Ready or Not on sale, but it wasn't much of a sale. Oh boy, Yeah, Ready or Not. Hold hold off on that one, just because they're that. That game, by the way, probably has the best gun mechanics I've ever played in my in my life, hands down. You guys talk If you guys like Yeah, it's like Nate. If you you specifically say you like looking at your gun. It's a game where you're like molesting your gun or you're you're like looking at it and doing all these things and like tactical reloads and stuff. But and it captures It's probably got the best sound indoors and outdoors. It really captures what firing because you guys have fired firearms before, inside and out, and it really captures the just the percussion of it. Yeah, and I've never had a video game do that. Yeah, do you shoot a fire arms indoors and you're like, whoa? You can feel the pressure, you can that. That game is probably as close as it gets. But it has a lot of things to work on, definitely, But I would say get it when it's drastically on sale and then and then the sergeant to Beergils Gaming can show you the ropes take you. It'll be like like Denzel Washington training day. Oh oh, Alonzo Alonzo alonzo Asonzo. My man, all right, I'm just gonna plug. We got the merch store happening. So if anybody wants to support the channel, that's the best way to one of the better ways to do it, I suppose as to help us grow there the channel.
