Who Would Win? Mario vs Pikachu! - A.I. Simulated Tournament! Round 1

Hello everybody, and welcome to another episode of the Elder Trolls gaming podcast. We are three brothers. We talk about gaming. We get together, you know, and once every couple of weeks we talk nerdy things, geeky things, and really anything that comes up. I am taking easy John, and I'm Nasty Night, and I'm Dandolf the Wise. Yes, indeed, And today we have a rather a rather interesting interesting Today we are going to be starting a Battle Royale tournament style pitting video game characters against each other with the help of AI artificial intelligence. That's correct, that's right. How many? How many do we have total in the tournament? I think there's sixteen total heroes, sixteen heroes from your favorite games being pitted against each other determined by AIM. Eight yeah, so eight matches eight eight one be ones to start round one, and today we'll be doing the first match. Should be reveal who they are? We wait, wait til after Okay, you're gonna have to stay tuned. Fuck you, it's a surprise, all right, what's been going on here? What's been going on? So I wake up? Oh yeah, I had a pretty bad sleep too. Oh god, if I was you didn't even play last night. No I played. I'm exhausted. Look at my eyes they always look like that sleepy. If I was running the Pokemon the Pokemon Sleep app last night, I would have just been catching magic harp. Like that's how bad it was? Is that good? Is that? I don't know how. I have an actual sleep tracker, and it said I got six hours of sleep and not good. Uh, recovery my heart rate for me? My heart rate didn't come down a lot. It said, really, did you drink your espresso before your game at ten o'clock? No? Oh you didn't? Then, I don't know, could be just worked up. I was just Jack Dude and Dude local Customs custom Oh my god, dude talking about Key and Peel in case. Yeah. I just come across their skits randomly on the Instagram reels. Often they do the content breakfast. How often do they do do new ones? I don't know, maybe once a week or something there every episode of the Skits. Oh okay, so it's like a like an SNL Skits show. Okay, yeah yeah. Uh so so today I'm cooking breakfast, I'm still sleeping, and I'm like, okay, well I'll get breakfast ready and then when she comes down, she can eat breakfast on her on her by herself, and then I'll do the pod. So I'm kind of trying to keep it quiet. And I open the dishwasher to put my dishes away because I'm done eating, and I turned my back and the moment I turn in my back, Finn goes to lick the dishes I put in the dishwasher. Okay, the motherfucker gets his collar caught on the drawer of the dishwasher, pulls the fucking drawer out of the dishwasher with dishes on it, and he's jumping around the kitchen, jumping around the kitchen trying to get it off of whips the dishes everywhere. Yeah, it's just like what the fuck? Like the perfect stone, Like you shouldn't seen it. Like he was like like bucking like a horse, like a horse bucks someone off. He was doing that, trying to get this massive dishwrack off his fucking collar, throwing dishes, smashing dishes. I'm just like that, that's quite a trinket up on his collar. Let's credit an accessory. The out of here, get the fuck out of here, and that comes out. She's like, what is going on. Wow, everywhere it was just like it was only there was only like two or three dishes and only one of them broke. Thank god. Wow, that's still pretty bad. I thought you were gonna say, like you didn't see his nose going the dishwashing just you just like close the fucking dishwasher door on his face because he goes in there for his licks. Say, he's like he gets his tongue and you're like, she's like, what are you doing? And you're just like me nothing, just hanging around, hanging around. Wow, that's horrible. That's horrifying, horrifying. Did you catch that on your home camera that you had set up by the way, that would have been good gone and viral. I don't know, you set up a freak in your living room so you could keep an eye on them. Yeah, that was just nic set up a laptop so I could watch them when I was at work. Oh that would Yeah, you just like see him like running in and out of the room and circles around. You're like TV, No, he wasn't. He was chasing around, just like back and forth, and that stupid music is playing it. That would go viral for sure. Ship all right, let's head into her. Let's get into game time. Okay, welcome to game time, folks. This is where we will outline what we've been playing. Who's been playing what? I don't know if we I don't know, if I know what you guys have been playing. Yeah, you know you've been playing games? Do you play? Do you play games? Games? Anymore? Matter of fact, As a matter of fact, I have it. I had I beat as as I told you guys. I didn't tell anyone on the show, I don't think, but I beat Starfield. I credit rolled Starfield. It would be interesting to talk about the choice that I made. I just don't know if this is a spoiler alert type thing, because like it's kind of relatively new. Maybe people haven't beat it yet. I don't know, but what probably would be okay, maybe skip forward like ten minutes, ten minutes. Yeah, I'm just joking anyway, So spoiler alert. But the choice I ended up choosing for the end was to travel through the unity. Me too, I did that, dude. It is the choice that I made. So did they kill off your your girlfriend? No, I didn't have nobody died. Yeah, No, I don't know. That found that weird because nobody I had no I thought you said you had no affectionate relationship with anyone, So why ri, which I find weird because if you didn't, if it didn't it wasn't successful. Why would they just it like asked me what was most important to me? And I was like, hm, I think they're the fuck with me here, and like what were they give me the joy? They gave me the choice of of Sarah Morgan or Andrea, right, and I chose Andrea and then they fucking killed her. They killed her off. They definitely fucked with you. Then, like what the fuck? I should have chose Sarah Morgan? That is bizarre because maybe it's because you you like, built a quote unquote relationship with two people or started to, whereas for me, I was just talking to Sarah Morgan the whole time, really, and nothing gave me that choice. So I find that kind of cool because that's already different than what I experienced. But yeah, I chose to go through the unity, and I was like, you know what, It's like, why would would did I play this whole game and not want to do that when it got to that point, So I was like, yes, sure, I'll do that, but it was really just kind of a cool, glorified way for them to allow you access to New Game Plus, which was really neat. It was a cool mechanic, but I still have that. I think it automatically creates a save file for you prior to that decision anyway, like it it makes a new save file whenever you go through the Unity so that you can do both. So will I keep playing my previous file? Probably? I don't know that I'll keep playing the New Game Plus mode because it's like that is cool to be a Starborn. But well what I did was just fucking cheated and gave myself every perk and every ability. Ah yes, of course, after I beat it, I don't know, I'm a Starborn, give me everything. I can do everything, I can do anything I want, every ability. I was like, hell, no, I'm not going through that portal. Actually I went through first and I was like, what I restart with ZIP? I was like no, thanks, and then I reloaded it. Well yeah, yeah, yeah, no, that's probably what I will end up doing because there's still so much shit I have in my like side missions and all this stuff that I want to do with my character. But I'm not gonna I don't want to like start all over and get all those perks again and all these weapons and stuff. The ship. Having the ship is really sweet, but I also like my fucking nova galactic stuff and my my stroud Ecklin ships, and the ship dies pretty quick. It's I don't know. I'll definitely go back to play it at one point, but there was something funny I did want to talk to you guys about that is non spoiler related, okay, but I would remember playing I was playing a mission. I was like, I'm going to see what you guys think of this, because it extends to most games, but I was playing one of them, and I just remember like shooting pirates with my double barrel shotgun, and and it was just being like so brutal because like they're really close and the way they die and like the voice acting for like the sound of the voice acting for the death sounds and all this. I'm just like, oh god, oh, and they're all just like eh. I just remember being like, this is brutal, and I almost feel bad killing these pirates because it just sounds so horrible. And then I started thinking, its like, is like the more realistic games. Get is it going to get harder to like pull the trigger because of how No, no, don't know immersive everything is. I don't know. I started thinking about that. I was like, I wonder where that's gonna go. Like when we start seeing these unreal five shooters especially, it's just like, oh shit, like in the game just goes home and stays at home and plays with your games because he doesn't want to kill people. I think they're slowly desensitizing us even more so for when that does happen, maybe it's going to turn into that movie. What's that movie, Jonathan where he the guy kills the whole planet of aliens but there's just a yeah, enders game. Oh I just spoiled the whole fucking movie. But you know, spoilers not a fat rewind. Isn't that the way forward? Rewind and then skip that part they rewind to my spoiling random Starfield man? Come on man? Oh anyway, So yeah, I just it was something I was thinking about, and I think that it was funny to reflect on because I I know that it's still a video game, but I just remembered being like, oh god, while I was shooting them in Starfield, and I was just like, is this a thing? Is that a problem? Anyway? I just thought it was funny. I've Starfield. Huh Yeah. I finished Starfield and I started working on I did end up getting as opposed to Spider Man for now we're going to pocket that. I got Phantom Liberty instead. I just missed Cyberpunk, so I wanted to get back into it. Oh, it's so, it's such a weird. I wasn't expecting this, but it was such It feels like there have been some frustrating moments already. And I don't know if it's just a me thing or the game thing though, because maybe it can always be at mindset that you're in when you're playing. Maybe you're tired maybe or whatever. But there have just been things that have annoyed me. Like, first of all, I will say that it does feel like a new game, which is really cool. All the perks, totally different perk trees and and the benefits. So, I, you know, how do I feel about that? I like it, I think because it still works on focusing on weapon groups like shotguns and large machine guns and all that stuff. But it seems to be there's three different clear avenues of that skill tree. So but I filled up my entire body skill tree, and I still had room for tech, which I put all into my tech weapons because I kind of wanted a similar build from the old base game, just newer weapons capabilities. Everyone. Yeah, tech weapons they're so cool because they shoot through walls and stuff, like you shoot around. That's a smart sh No, that's that's power weapons. You can like smart and smart because smart targets, so that just follow It's like, I don't use any of that ship but power weapons. You can have an attachment a mod that allows you to see a trajectory of bullet if you like ricochet if you aim it. But no, I just use tech which is really cool because you just hold the button and full charge and that that thing's just vibrating to go and you just fucking let it go, and it's just it's awesome. I used That's what I Yeah, I used a lot of pistols in my Phantom Liberty playthrough. We it's cool because there's tech pistols, tech shotguns, tech rifles. The only tech shotgun I'm really seeing those is the double barrel one, And I just wish that they had added some more cooler tech shotgun models. Unless they have and I just haven't come across them yet. Well we'll see. But anyway, so I'm liking the new perk system. You know, it was a lot to read it first, but I started filling in anyway. But yeah, it feels like a new game, you know, Aesthetically, it's just it's different, Like dog Town's all run down. There's a lot of rubble and there's a lot of scaffolding. It's really shitty looking. Yeah, so it doesn't quite feel like you're like it feels like you're in night City, but it's definitely its own little neighborhood like Universe Burrow within night City. So kind of cool and but again like slightly more challenging. There's new enemies, stronger enemies that you know, I wasn't really expecting and so and they just throw a lot of them at you, even on normal mode. At once, I'm like, fuck, where's all my cover? Where's my and maybe it's my works are kind of I'm not as powerful as I was yet, so I'm like shooting them and I'm obliterating them with my light machine gun. But there's just still a lot of fire coming in at once, and it's all very whoa, whoa, whoa. So I'm like struggling to find cover, and it's really stressful and chaotic. And there's those action sequences you know, that are really cool for the story that they start you off with right in Dogtown, So those were cool, but yeah, a lot of chaos. The fucking like President is like screaming at you, and she's just barking orders at me. I'm like, would you shut up? And like just fucking focus on what I'm doing. So I found that really, Madam President, shut the fuck off, please, with all differ respect, shut your fucking the mout. So it was very I don't know, it's very stressful a few times because I was just like I can't like, I can't focus on I can't see when she's like yelling at me. And uh, there's one particular boss that you do fight. And the objective orders were like do this find the weak spots. Okay, so scan and shoot the week spots. And then that objective changed without my even noticing because of all the chaos going on, and I'm like, okay, where are the weak spots? They're not here anymore. And then I finally clued in to like look at the objective and it's like kill the remaining or take down or whatever. So I just started shooting it and then that started taking the off. I was like, oh my god. So I've been like looking to the weak spots running around this compound for like, I don't know how the week spots. The week spots are. There's a giant robot that reminded me of the reminded me of Ghost in the Shell. That definitely had to have been where they got it from. For sure. It was definitely Ghost in the Shell. All that part when she rips the yeah, the top part off, oh man, iconic, iconic. Yes, So that was very frustrating and and whatever. But I got it done and that when and then the President's like, finish it off V. And then she's like get on top V and I'm like okay, So I get on top of the thing. She's like watch out, it's gonna blow V and I'm like, oh fuck, So I jump off. And then she's like finish it off E. What are you waiting for? And so there's like that, you know, I'm like, what do you want me to do? So it was very confusing, but I eventually figured I was like, oh, there's a prompt, okay, so I'll do that anyway. So just ship like that. It's just random stuff. But I am very much enjoying the new kind of feel of the game, and I'm looking forward to playing new side missions and stuff that I haven't done yet, and finishing off the story for Phantom Liberty. So that's my game time. Nice. Wow, I really enjoyed it. I really really enjoyed it. Like I didn't find I still have to finish it. I didn't have any bug that. Oh I had one bug, there's another's there's a part where you have to give cover to a to a character and you're moving through like this kind of horizontal I don't a level where you're on like this fifty cal sniper rifle and you have to cover this guy and he's like okay, he's like hiding behind the wall. He's like, finish them off. And I'm like, there's nobody here to shoot, and he's like, come on, finish them off. Like there's nobody here. I don't know what I'm supposed to do. And I'm like looking around and there's no enemies anywhere, and it did not progress, and I was like, really, uh, and I sat there for like fifteen minutes. I sat there for like fifteen minutes and nothing happened. Before you realize something was wrong. Before it was I was like, okay, so I'm just gonna reload this quest, I guess. And when I did. When I did, I think there was an enemy that got stuck on like a barrel and he was behind a wall that I couldn't see, and that's the one I was supposed to shoot for him to continue. And that guy because I remember, I remember on my second way through the quest, I saw a guy come a certain way where I didn't before. I was like, oh, that's probably where he got stuck, because there's like this little area that's kind of jumbled with barrels and shit like that. Stupid. So I wasted like fifteen minutes waiting. It's called a job, Nathan. I'm not a quest. Okay, you're freaking gonk a quest quite, You're oblivion is uh? What's his friendship meter is at zero? For me? Fuck, I've got some game time. So mainly I picked back up Balder's Gate three uyes motted a ring so I could get through that stupid fucking fight. So I which fight was it? That really ugly dude with like the cage scars on his face that was trapped the bird song, the night song, So she was trapped something, Yeah, Balthazar. So I had to fight him. And when it initiates, like the top of my screens, like like skeletons, like twenty skeletons him, three big skeleton dudes, and then me and my party. I always lose initiatives, always lose it. So but by the time I get to my character, I had one character left and she had like two HP and then the big guy comes around the corner and kicks me off the edge like every fucking time. So I couldn't do it. I could not do it. And then I was like, ah, so I want to go look at my save files, and they're all gone except for one that was before. So I don't know where my save files went. I don't know where any of them went, right, So you didn't beat the game, this is just where you got stuck or whatever. Yeah, so this is where I got stuck. And when I loaded, after like a couple of months of not playing, I had no save files. I had zero, so I read online. I was like, what the fuck's going on? So the sink from the clouds all fucked up, so I had to like do some weird steam cloud sink and I it brought down only like two or three save files. Thankfully it was the one I was stuck on, like the latest save. And then there was one at the beginning of the trials, the beginning of the night Song Trials or whatever the fuck it's called. Okay, well you should have reloaded that because those two or three hours m Balthazar and kill him there. He's way easier. No, Instead, I spent thirty minutes trying to get a mod to work where plopped in a ring into my inventory, a god ring, and I just like equip it, and then I one shot everything equip it good, and then I unequipped. I unequip it uninstalled the mods. So now I'm through that fight, and now I'm at another fight where I have to fight the orc the what's the bad guy's name? Thrum his like underling orc girl. So now I'm fighting her, which is just as hard. Well I'm not as hard, but I've all I almost got it. I was this close three or four times couldn't get her. But I'll get I'll get it, I'll get it. I'm not I'm thinking of I'm thinking of getting rid of the vampire guy because he's kind of useless in this fight. So I might go back and put Gail back in, but I haven't really decided. Do you have Lazel in your party? Yeah, she's in there. Man. She attacks a lot. Eh. Yeah, she's very old. She's like crack, crack, and I'm like, oh again, crack. That's why because I had Lazel and Carlac who also does that, so they're both just two fighters. I guess, yeah, yeah, well yeah whatever. Carlak is what's she? A bar barbarian? My bart is sick. And then there was like this person I picked up right before that fight with some elf girl and I added her to my party, so she's like a companion and she has this crazy like ice attack and it puts the floor all ice sold there. I took a video. I think I took a video. All the bad guys are slipping. They just keep slipping. I'm like, oh, yes, They're like, go to attack me, slip slip, all of them. It was awesome, And that's the one I almost killed them all because they were all like dazed on the floor. So I was just fucking fired. But then they threw this massive cloud of something's hatred and I could I was blind and slowed and I couldn't see anything. I couldn't get out of this cloud, and they fucking killed me. But so far, I'm pretty cool. I like, I'm gonna get this done. Hopefully get this done. I just remember how sweet it is. How's your bard's repertoire? It's pretty good. I every time, every time it's not my turn. I just turned on the old guitar or what's it called the value, So I've been playing that one. I've been jumped. I jumped into Dialbow before season two. Uh Blood season. Oh it's so good. I love it. I'm I'm addicted again. I love l eighty five already eighty five. I'm like super kidded. I'm so ope, Like it's so redonculous, my barbarian. So I just go through and I'm just fucking crushing everything. I'm trying to do the first, No, I was trying to do the first Like end Boss Varshan, you have to summon him by collecting his body pieces and you go under the whispering tree and you summon them and then he's like what he's like the first end boss endgame boss, which drops a special ring and a weapon for me. I couldn't beat him my first try because I want to see if I could sol him. No one would help me. I was asking. I was like, come on, looking for a group, come and help me with this thing. No one. So I summoned him like three times, four three or four times, and I soloed him like ten levels underneath what I was supposed to do. It was crazy. And then I got my sword, I got my ring, and now I'm just at my level. I'm super overpowered now at my level, just like blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. And now I'm doing like level fifty Nightmare Dungeons already, even playing solo, I'm addicted. There's just so many more enemies now. That's I think that's the reason. That's the way they're leveling up, leveling people up. Quicker like the density the destiny of enemies. You are my destiny, I mean density, you're my density. Just just the amount of enemies and Nightmare Dungeons now is insane, Like it gets so crazy. I'm just just numbers flying all over my screen. I'm just like, oh yeah, satisfiaction in them all. It's so satisfying. And then they have this new event thing that's always going. It just changes different spots on the map. It's like for your your vampire killing. So you go and kill vampires. Collect these blabs like these blood vials that unlock your vampire abilities, and the vampire abilities are really cool. I've leveled up all my all, like level them all up to max all my vampire abilities. Very good, very cool, very cool, very very good. It's very cool. I got a lot of vampire abilities. I'm a lot older, very old, very old. I've been around a long time. Trust me, trust me, believe me. I believe I love the elder Droves then the greatest. Believe me. Man. I should have saved that audio somewhere. I wish I had that. Does that cost a lot of money? Probably have it A I was free. It just was like super janky and weird waiting for it to like render. Okay, we should get a few of those like record, like a whole bunch. I think I might have it. I would have to search for it. Yeah, I'll add it to my sound the Greatest. Yeah, but yeah, that's Diablo four almost. I've I've finished the battle pass, I've finished all that ship. So I'm just gonna get the level hundred, kill all the bosses. It'll be good. You. I have two and a half months left, So whatever season three is gonna be a big one. This is probably the one you were gonna want to jump back into, Jonathan. The leaderboards start, so you can actually try to climb the tower. So you get to whatever level I think, like it's a certain level. You get to it, you have your build, your gear, you tweak it, you mid max it, and then you enter this dungeon. You climb the levels. Right oh like a like a like in like sword Art online or like, yeah, what anime is that where there's a tower. Pretty sure that was the one. Yep. You keep going, you keep going, and then that's how it tests your that's how you might test your might and put you on leaderboard and dancing, dancing, danting, and then you actually have a chance. So at the end of every two weeks or something in that season, the leaderboards finish and the top ten people that are the top five. People will get like etched into the this big Hall of Heroes thing, your build, your character name and all that shit. Yeah, I don't think I don't think I have what it takes to do that. What do you mean? I think I think we could. I think we did. I'm gonna do it. It's gonna be sweet. It's gonna be fucking sweet. All right, Okay, that's the double four. And then my last one is since I beat Liza P I jumped back into Lords of the Fallen. I can see why people are like there was a lot of not so much love for this game. By first like ten hours, I was like, oh man, this is so good. This is so good. This is so good. And then as I kept playing, I just kept getting stuck on random things like sticking out of walls or like rocks on the ground, like random sha geometry. Yeah, like map jank. You know, I thought you were gonna say, like enemies, Oh, that's understandable. Yeah, And the enemies will get stuck on these things too, and it's really weird. And I the fucking buttons I'm pressing the character's stuck to a dish rack. But like Jonathan saw, it. He was he was watching me stream it, and I was like pressing buttons and they weren't doing anything. The animations sometimes are too long for certain like swings on certain weapons, so like I'm halfway or three quarters away through my swing and like I'm mashing the dodge button. So when that animation ends, I need to dodge out of the way, but the animation goes for too long, and then I'm still stuck in the animation and the boss just fucking hammers me and then gets into like a combo where he doesn't like follows you. Though you hate those games, it's just like if you don't dodge late enough or at like y you know what I mean, if you dodge too early, they'll just be like hmmm and just follow you and just hit that. That is I don't believe that. I don't believe they do that in Elden Ring. I don't remember that happening in elder Ring, where I'm dodging and then I'm completely out of the way and then he'll be like, you'll like turn around and and still hit me like that ship infuriates me. I thought that I find that that. No, I find that a lot in this game, but I found it a lot in lies of p I found that that that was like that in Jedi. The first one was that one. How can we describe that, like like an adaptable follow through? Variable follow through where like you can't do that as a player because you're limited to your character animations, you know, not. I think it's like but some games, I think it's whenever whenever the boss got to a certain Yeah, you have to dodge at a certain spot where the boss is going to hit that let's say the ground m m. And if you dodge now right, he'll follow you. But if you if he's coming down and like right now and then you dodge, he's going to hit the ground. Like it's like you have to be so precise when you dodge. Is that realistic? That's realistic? I don't know. If somebody dodges too soon, you're like, oh, well I can just follow you. Yeah, but he's started animation started away from me, That's what I mean. Like the animations are so large that you're like he's like, You're like, okay, dodge and he hits you, like the fuck. Like that happens a lot. Yeah, But the weapons look are cool. The armor is so sick, especially in the Unreal Engine five. The environments are grotesquely beautiful. It's looks very nice. Is that an oxy moron? Grotesquely beautiful? It's beautiful to look at and moron. Yeah, I think I'm about halfway through. I shouldn't know what this game looks like. I haven't even looked at it. I haven't looked at it. Oh man, it's it. It looks amazing. H Everything everything about looks amazing. It doesn't feel amazing, unfortunately. But the artwork, the artwork, the dual worlds. You can go into another world with your holding like a lantern, to the underworld. So if you do die, the mirror the mirror realm. Yeah, well yeah it's the underworld. I'm pretty sure it was the underworld. So if you die, you get like a second life in the underworld, and if you die again in the underworld, then you die for good, and then you can you can you can return to the world of the living if you get to like certain statues that are placed in the level, so you can like revive yourself that way, which is really nice. The game's easier way easier than lies of p like way easier. It's easier than Elden Ring. I'd say, if you were to get into it, this one would be the difficulties low, but the jank is kind of high, so which adds to the difficulty. The difficulty. Yeah, it's weird, but I like it. I'm enjoying it. I I don't get too frustrated unless they put this big boss. Like right now, I'm fighting this big like demon fire Demon, but they put it in a little arena with some with a staircase, so I have to like fight them on this staircase. It's fucking impossible, Like it's so stupid, Like why would you put me in this tiny arena? I can't move anywhere. So now I think they're forcing me to start parying instead of dodging. So I got to work on my pays and that's probably how I'll get through this guy. But developer, uh what are they called again? Nope, I'm drawing a blank. These guys are well, they're not new, but they made they made another game called Lords of the Falling back in the late twenty ten, twenty fifteen or something I can't remember, but this one's like not a remake, but they're using the same name. It's pretty stupid. But so far the five looks amazing. It's amazing, looks very good. Okay, very good, cool, very cool, very cool. Let's it for me, all right? That that took a little bit longer than what I would what was hoping. But uh, okay, uh where do I start? Where do I start? The game's up and playing? Nah, not really that many. But I did beat Spider Man two. I platinumed it, my first ever platinum wow on the PS on PlayStation on everyone must be pretty easy. It's pretty easy to platinum because I did everything. I beat the story and then it was like I only needed four trophies or something. And I don't know, it's weird but doing that stuff because they always have cheapments where I'm like, I go in and I like, what would it take to to, you know, complete this game fully, Like I see all these little things, I'm like, I'm never gonna fucking do that. It's a special feeling, Lloyd. You know, I haven't had that in a while since, you know, the original war Zone. It's that kind of kind of thing. It's not as as intense. It's a bit more, it's a bit more care free. I don't know why. I think maybe it's just the the style eye art style. Yeah. Guns, the guns aren't make things feel so serious. So seriously, Yeah, but you do, you do get in, you know, you clutch up and it feels good and uh, it's it's cool. It's cool. I've never played the original map, so there's less like vehicles, which I like, Oh vehicles, there's there's a lot less loot. I feel like the loot is much more sparse about bushes. Are there more bushes? I haven't noticed bushes, but I did see there was a a thing you could pick up called the Legendary. It was a legendary item, but it was a bush that you could hide it a legendary Bush's funny you say that. Thrill House just sent me a video of him using like a stealth bush because like he does it with his buddy. You can't take it all. I think you only get it removed when somebody shoots you. Yeah, realize that you're in a bush. Like even if you start shooting, it doesn't fall off. I think, so wow, Like the person use it maybe it's timed or something. I don't know. The player he killed didn't turn around in the video he sent me. He just was able to kill them before they realized what was going on, so I don't know if they'd have noticed. He probably drove. Yeah, I hate bush campers the worst. The worst is when you're at the last like the last three teams, and it's one loser who's riding around and he's just hiding in a bush, you know what I mean, Like that fucking asshole. So now what I do is I make sure I have a few grenades in my pockets for the end game, and if I see a bush, it's getting fucking grenaded, like any bush. I don't care. I just tossed in grenades, any bush, Just grenading bush into the bush and look for numbers, like no, no one's in there. Yeah no, it was giving away my position, but I don't care. Yeah whatever, it's fun. It's fun. It's cool with four players. Like it's it's harder too, which is cool. But yeah, they they're they're they're into it too. I like I like how you know, they they calm everything. They're they're taking it serious, which I like. It's good. It's good, what can I say. But I've also been playing the new Okay, the new Apex mode. I got to talk about it, post Malon's Limited time mode, post Malone post Malone. He's a big Apex fan. He streams it sometimes, he plays it a lot. He's even streamed it with like some of the content creators in Apex. But it's like a skin event to sell the skins, which I don't care about. But they also included this new mode which is called Triple Strike or something. Triple yeah, triple strike, So you get three strikes and you're out, so you can drop in and your team can wipe, but you get another You get dropped back in with your with your weapons and your and your loot, so you don't lose everything. You just get dropped back in and you can land wherever you want. You can land right back on the team that killed you if you want, and immediately start fighting again. So it's absolute chaos. Yeah, it's hilarious, but it's super fun because I feel like it's not as you don't you don't feel as it's not boring at all, but you also don't feel like you feel like you can you can make a mistake, you're a little bit more forgiving, you know, it's like, oh whatever, we get another fucking chance. So it it lets you. It allows you to be more aggressive, It allows you to play creatively, It allows you to play like you should play in the Battle Royal mode. How I play, Maybe I will be the mass. Sometimes sometimes you should just be more aggressive. You've gotta you know, you send it. You know, you crack a guy, you crack. But also part of the mode is you can't fully kill knocked players. They're just knocked. They're just they stay knocked and kill you until the tea the rest of the team. Also, the revives are only one second, so it's like and you're up, Oh wow, so you have to like, you have to kind the guy. Yeah, you have to find the guy before they reds, because you can reds almost immediately. And it's just insane because everyone's playing fucking Lifeline right now and Newcastle so they get she can just drop her res drone and they fucking and run away and they get up and then you knock her and then they're shooting at you, and then they fucking res her and then you kill them, and it's just it's like, it's crazy. It's crazy. And you have like four other teams doing this at the same time, everyone's third partying each other. It is absolute madness. It's madness. It's kind of cool. Switch it up, mix it up. Super fun though, super fun because like everyone's getting third party. You can just run and hide. You run and hide, and your guys can just crawl to you because they don't die right the crawl to you. You red them, you reset and then to go back in. It's fucking hilarious. And then I've won a couple of games where we didn't even die once where no strikes at the end of the game and we won and I had like fucking over five thousand damage. It was an absolute insane game, like like fifteen kills, like five thousand damage. It's wild, it's super fun. I think it would be a good game mode for for for people maybe don't play a lot, because you can get used to fighting. You can get in there, you can get fucking used to the guns. You can get say, once you die, spending five ten minutes getting back into another fucking match exactly, you're just in it and you have all your guns again, you have your weapons Still when you relaunch what's the name of the such a cool, such a cool mode, Triple Threat like Triple Threat or Triple Strike Threat Level Midnight. It's fucking sweet and it's a favorite mode. What what was that that they invented this event? I don't think. I don't think he invented it. I don't know if he had any hand to play. All right here, here we are and this week's episode, guys, we're gonna be starting our Battle Royale of video game characters. Is it a battle Royale, It's a tournament. It's a tour tournament, a series tournament. Yeah. I guess you could say that the martial arts tournament. I was trying to I was testing the a. I was trying to make it like include a shrinking ring, but it was fucking impossible. This is the this is the All Valley Championship of video Game characters. Today. We're going to use chet GPT four. Okay, okay, cool, all right, so let's set this up. Then, our first two combatants of the tournament will be Mario versus Pikachu, Pikashua Carrier versus Peakachu. So we're going to input some of the strengths and weaknesses of these two characters. We're going to have a setting of some kind that they're going to be fighting in, and then we're gonna let the AI go at it. It's gonna tell us a story of of the fight, I guess, and the outcome. And I have no idea how this is going to turn out, so we'll see, right, So the story behind it, which we won't feed the AI because recently, when I've been playing around with the AI, it seems to try to find the good in its results. Like I was pitting some of these characters together and it's like, oh, they made up, shook hands and walked into the sunset kind of thing. Like it's really stupid. Yeah, like that is dumb. Well, this even work will even battle like because it doesn't like violence. Does it go? All? Right? So the story is Bowser has kidnapped Princess Peach again. Peach knows that this will just continue to happen because Bowser doesn't like ever die. Bowser will always exist, I guess. But this time Peach tells Bowser she will marry him and end the suffering of the Mushroom Kingdom and its destruction every time he does kidnap her if he can win this tournament. Oh so she will summon fifteen fighters to compete in this tournament and then Bowser has to win the tournament and then she will agree to marry him. So she's hoping someone takes him out, yes, exactly for good. Princess is pretty confident Bowser is not going to win this tournament with so many epic and strong fighters from across the gaming universe. Let's face it, Bowser's just what is a turtle dragon turtle thing? They randomized matchups are pretty good. Actually, I think they'll be pretty good. So should we wait to announce like the matchups? Yeah, that would be cool because there's a reveal element to it, right, like a reveal if you were playing a video game. Who's next against two? Okay? Okay, yeah, So what we're gonna do is we're gonna go through Mario and Pikachu's strengths and weaknesses. We're gonna go through them really quick. We're going to add any that we can think of funny not so funny, or something they missed, you know, something that might turn the battle for that character, you know, well, and we'll put it in there. If we can think of anything, then what we're gonna do is we're gonna copy in this entire thing, Okay, this whole scenario one scenario Mario versus Pikachu. To copy it, We're gonna paste it into chat GPT and we're gonna tell it to come up with a detailed paragraph result of the battle. We're gonna discuss a prompt for a random environment that Mario and Pikachu meet, We're give it to the eye. So I came up with an example. We could use it if we want. So this one is Pikachu and Mario get teleported to the Mushroom Kingdom to fight in a tournament to save Princess Peach. I want you to think of a random environment in the Mushroom Kingdom where Mario and Pikachu would encounter each other. So I'm telling the AI not to give me a result of the fight yet. Okay, we have to tell the AI that one of these characters becomes hostile or they'll end up just loving each other and walking into the sunset. So why don't why don't we Why don't we just include a sentence saying each character don't just say there must be a winner, a clear winner. Okay, I want you to think of a random environment in the Mushroom Kingdom where Mario and Pika Shoe encounter each other. So it's gonna do that. We're gonna feed him the strength. So let's go through the strength. So Mario's strengths is his versatility. He can handle a variety of environments and challenges, from jumping on platforms to exploring dungeons in underwater areas. Power ups. True, Mario has access to various power ups that great him special abilities. For example, the super Mushroom which will make him larger, the Fireflower, et cetera. We've got to have those power ups. His acrobatics at his jumping skills, Mario is famous for his exceptional jumping abilities. Resilience. Mario often demonstrates resilience, bouncing back from setbacks and challenging situations. In many games, he has multiple lives, allowing players to continue even after making mistakes. Ooh, the Ai might actually make a one up ap peer. You never know, don't. Varied gameplay mechanics. Depending on the game, Mario can engage in different gameplay mechanics, such as writing Yoshi, using power ups, or even transforming into different forms. So those are his strengths. His weaknesses limited range attacks. In his standard form, Mario attacks range is limited, usually requiring close proximity to his enemies. Vulnerability without power ups. He's nothing Without his power ups, He's just the fat plumber. Okay, okay. Slower movement in water. While Mario can swim, his movement is often slower and less agile and underwater sections of games Princess Peach captures. This constant need for rescue can be considered a weakness, oh in the sense that Mario often finds himself in similar situations well because he's got a soft spot for it, and he'll literally do anything for that because he's always trying to save Princess Peach, Right, all right, Moving over to Pikachu. Pikachu is an electric type Pokemon, and like all Pokemon, it has its strengths and weaknesses based on its type electric attacks. Pikachu's main strength lies in its electric type moves such as Thunderbolt and thunder These ranged attacks are super effective against water type and flying type Pokemon. Pikachu's speed is another strength high special attack. Pikachu typically has high special attack stat, allowing the electric type moves to deal significant damage. Weaknesses ground type moves. Physical defense is a weakness. Pikachu's physical defense is not its strong suit. Physical attacks from strong opponents can pose a threat limited move pool. While Pikachu is versatile, its move pool can be somewhat limited compared to some other Pokemon. The limitation can make it predictable in battle. So we've got our strengths. Do we want to add any more strength to Mario or Pikachu, et cetera. Is Mario's hat magic? Doesn't he have a magic hat? No? No, okay, I think Pikachu is gonna destroy Mario should It depends if he gets in his right element, in his right environment. I don't think Mario's got a fucking chance, a chicken dick's chance. And he's got to be close quarters right, yeah, because his attacks are mainly physical where he road shells. Oh, that's ranged, I guess. But jumping on, come on, let's do this. Take all this minus the story. We're gonna start at round one. We're gonna throw it in. Are you ready? Oh boy, that we don't know. This is gonna oneaded those sounds into the soundboard beforehand, Yeah, added them in after put him in post Okay, Round one fight in the colorful and fantastical mush Mushacle Mushroom Kingdom, a unique tournament was unfolding. Okay, Mario, the seasoned hero of this vibrant world, found himself facing an unexpected challenger, Pikachu, the electrically charged Pokemon. They stood in a lush, overgrown area where oversized mushrooms dotted the landscape and hidden blocks with power ups hung in the air waiting to be discovered. Thick vines snaked up the ancient trees, creating a natural platforms, and a bubbling brook ran across the field, its waters sparkling under the sun. Very cool, Wow, very nice. Mario, wearing his iconic red cap and overalls, sized up his opponent. He knew the strengths Pikitsu possessed, the ability to launch powerful electric attacks from a distance and a speed that could outmaneuver most foes. Aware of his vulnerability to range attacks and his slower movements in water, Mario planned to use the environment to his advantage, the power up blocks and the dry ground, deciding to avoid the brook at all costs. He's like, I'm not going near that water, okay. Pikachu, with its yellow fur crackling with contained energy, eyed Mario warely. It understood the humans resilience and feared the varied power ups that could tilt the battle in Mario's favor. Pikachu decided to strike first, unleashing a bolt of electricity towards Mario. Here we go the plumber nice. The plumber is agile and quick. He leapt onto a vine, swinging up a block to grab a superstar. I'll be upset if Mario wins to be frank. Well, he's got a superstar through him, and he charged at Pikachu. The Pokemon, surprised by Mario's sudden invulnerability, darted away. It's small but swift legs, carrying it across the field with ease. Okay, Mario's invincity wore off, and he found a fireflower transformed. He began hurling fireballs at Pikachu. The electric Pokemon, agile and quick, dodged the blazer projectiles, using the tall mushrooms as cover. Realizing its electric attacks were ineffective against Mario in his current form, Pikachu waited for the right moment. As Mario's fireflower began to wane, Pikachu saw its chance. It leaped from its hiding spot, launching a concentrated thunderbolt. Mario, caught off guard, was hit top, the electrical shock reverberating through his body. He stumbled temporarily weakened, his fire flower power extinguished. Seeing an opportunity, Pikachu charged his body, glowing with electric energy. But Mario, ever resilient, had another trick up his sleeve. He grabbed a nearby super mushroom. Growing in size with renewed strength, he lunged at Pikachu, attempting to catch the nimble creature. Wow. The battle raged with Pikachu's speed and electric attacks pitted against Mario's resourcefulness and physical strength. They danced around the area, each finding the other a formidable opponent. The fight reaches climax as Pikachu, exhausted from its relentless assaults, launched one final thunderbowlt. Mario, anticipating this, used a well time leap to dodge and counterattacked with a powerful stomp. Oh no way. The electrical Pokemon, unable to dodge in time, was pinned under Mario's increased weight. Struggling for a moment, Pikatu's energy fizzled out and it lay there momentarily unconscious. No Way from the intense battle emerged victorious. The mushroom kingdom erupted in cheers. Oh, there's people watching this on a screen, celebrating the heroic plumber Strimph in his most unexpected challenges. Mario helped Pikachu to his feet the tow, sharing a moment of mutual respect. The Mushroom Kingdom where the world's collided, a new future was forged, of course, formed from the heat of battle and the thrill of competition. Wow, I don't know about that. I think it's uh, he's in his own element. This is Mario's world. I might be surprised if Mario doesn't win this tournament, to be honest, Yes, because of his undying love for Princess Preach. Yes, and because it's in the Mushroom Kingdom where he has the most experience. Right, hang on, why don't we just why don't all the heroes just band together and fucking kill Bowser in this tape? Why did they know they shouldn't know each other's vulnerabilities or strengths really because they've never met before. Okay, and chat GPT apparently doesn't altogether disagree with me, but I had written I would consider Mario more agile in movement than Pikachu, because he's just so used to flipping around and doing all this crazy shit. His evasion could be potentially off the charts. But I don't agree. I don't agree. Okay, I may be wrong there, maybe wrong there, that's what That's what I was confused. Here. It says Mario using his the plumber agile and quick. I mean, how agile is? He's fat? He's a fat plumber, Like he's not I'm just jumping for thirty forty years. He's still fat. His ass be like this big man, his legs are massive. He's just a big Even if he was more evasive than Pikachu, I'm just not sure he could follow up with as much damage as Pikachu could. So I was surprised to find that, Like, there's no fucking way, there's no way. But he may strolls, yeah, I guess, But like how much bigger would he have become? Pretty big? He grows and he stomps on bad guys, turtles like he jumps on turtles. Probably the same, if not bigger than Pikachu. Yeah, because we have to assume, yes, Mario is a full grown man and in his small form. So if he just eats a fucking mushroom, he's gonna be like Goliath. He's gonna be like double the side. He's like what's his name, Andre, the giant kind of big. Well, I agree, I agree. I agree with the outcome because he's in the end. Pikachu is just a rat that shoots lightning bolts. I mean he hit him. He hit him with a fucking thunderbolt, did he Yeah, but he like it didn't fucking affect him, Like he caught off guard and was hit with the electric shock. What was he powered up? Though? He was his eyes and then he went back. It's like the rubber in Mario's plum shoes. He goes to his plunger and disperses the plungry. He holds the plunder out. That is stupid. All right, well, all right, okay, that was a little shocking. Shocking Actually, I don't know. I felt that maybe Pikachu at one, But that's okay. I'm gonna respect the storytelling of the of the AI Round one winner Mario. Hey, good job Mario. Fuck yeah, I agree with the AI here. I think Mario would have won.
