Hello everybody, and welcome to another episode of the Elder Trolls gaming podcast. If you are new in joining us today, we are two brothers should get together and talk about gaming. We also may talk tech, TV, movies and other nerdy geeky stuff too. But first, I'm nasty night and I'm taking easy John, And today we are joined by our returning guest, Siege or Chris from from another gaming podcast. Sorry, one hour, one decision. How's it going, buddy? Oh my goodness, it's been too long? Yeah? So happy? How many? How many times have you been on? This is your second. Only it's my second time. Yeah. Yeah. We don't have many guests. We don't have many guests. All good. I appreciate it. I appreciate that. I always, I always like chatting with you guys. Of course for what we were last time, for much ship will be shot today. Oh Balderskate three? Was it? Yes, Balderskate three. Yeah, we had a big one on that one. Damn nice and it was still around miss you, buddy. He's not around anymore. He's gone. He's somewhere in space. Uh so, Siege. If people are meeting you for the first time, tell us about your show and what you're all about. Sure, so I I like you, Like you mentioned, I do host a podcast called One Hour, One Decision and we take a random generally a random game on Xbox Team Pass and play it for an hour and decide if it's worth playing past that hour or not. And we've been doing that now for over two and thirty episodes. Of Yes Yeah once a week, Hey, once a week. We are episodes dropped Wednesday evening. Okay, yeah, what a good what a good show to listen to? I know, yeah, quick thirty minutes. I just I love it. And then sometimes, like when I have a big, like a big commute coming up, I'll like, I'll like stack two or three episodes to this in the whole way, you know what I mean. Yeah, my bike rides are usually like a half hour, so I'll listen to one. Yeah, but if I'm on the bus, I'll stack like two or three episodes. So I'm taking the bus this week because my bike's in the shop, so I'm about to listen to the last three episodes. Nice. I think it's you're doing Oblivion Remastered? What O the two is you that are coming up here? Yeah? I don't even remember anymore. It's been no, it's uh, we got oblivion, we got TMNT mutants and least right. Yeah, yeah, and I know John you had you had opinions about ashen Ashen. Yeah, that's that one. That's the last one I heard. Was that not a couple of little again, Yeah yeah, yeah, got up but. Yeah, so a couple of things. Yeah, but it's it's been fun. Uh. This is the most consistent thing I've done creative for like almost four years. So you needed it, you need it, We need it. We need that outlet for sure. Yeah, that's true. It's an outlet. You know what else would I freaking do? What am I doing? Buy more Pokemon dolls. They're action figures, No, but they're not mine. Those are PAMs. And she buys too many, far too many. And the squish mellows and all this crap. Squish mellows, you know what, the little the Pokemon that are at the Biffy Pokemon. Yeah, they're really uh, they're everywhere, and I can't get I can't stop it. It's well, at least they're not legos. You know, if you step on them, you're not gonna cry. She wants those two, but I'm like, no. No, Alma just built a couple of those real adult lego flower things. Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. Pretty cool. Another nudes. I was on another nudes Sorry news. I was on the Gaming Duo with Rob. I stepped in for Kell. Thanks for having me, Rob, shout out. We had a great time. We talked about some news and switched to third party games. So go check it out as probably their second episode back because we do bi weekly, so this was a week or so ago, but we had a we had a great time. Great couple of guys. They run a great discord, so check them out. Pop into the discord. There's always chatter going on about games and and some really bad takes. Really bad. Speaking of the Gaming Duo discord, I was on Code Name Good Game last night. Samuraiki and a bunch of other guys in the gaming do a discord that we're doing our Fantasy Critic Draft, our Fantasy Critic season, so all of the guys that have teams in it. We went on the show and we were talking about because it's kind of like midway through the season. See who's in what place right now? Go over a little bit, tell about what happened, because there was some crazy things that happened, like Rob drafting GTA. Six, but no one had the balls to counterpick it because everyone we thought it was thought it was coming, We thought. It was coming out, and he was able to drop it. He was able to drop it, but no, And then I was bringing this up on the show. But do you know what that means for next year? First overall pick is going to be granted grand theft thought of six, right, it's going to be the first overall pick. So now it gives everyone else a chance at it again. Connor McDavid of Video Games. Yeah, basically, yeah, so it was fun. It was cool there. We'll see what happens. I'm hoping to get a huge I'm hoping to get a banger out of a Donkey Kong. Like it's got to be good. I think it's gonna be good. It looks when does that coming comes? August No, July seventeenth, I believe, Oh yes, in a couple of weeks. Okay, a couple just over a couple of weeks. But yeah, I guess the team that did Mario Odyssey. Is making that. Oh okay, so like it could be really good because Mary Odyssey is like an insane score on Open Critic. It's like ninety four or something or ninety seven and insane, and. The fact that it has like I think the whole world is like destructible. Yes, that's what it looks like. That's what it looked like. Yeah, it's punching into the ground and then taking big chance. He was like, smash in the ground. Yeah, that was cool. Give me, give me Red Faction vibes. But Red Faction wasn't that a PS two game? The destructible? And I remember Mars, Yeah, yeah, I remember that. So what are we gonna do. We're just gonna talk about some news and some Yeah, so let's some games we're playing and stuff. So let's show let's jump into game time and talk about what we're playing. Hm, okay, okay, okay, okay. Okay, it's game time, Siege, what's up? Game time? Oh? I am even play? Are you even able to play other games other than you even play games? Chris? I know in our in our goof Troop Discord chat, I know I shop on. A lot of a lot of it on every game. I think there's. One a lot of a lot of the times I'm just, I just I want to get a reaction from you. What the hell is I believe Nathaniel he is trolling us. Yes, I believe that. I believe that's the definition. But uh, but yeah, I am what am I playing? I played a little bit of rematch? Oh really, I'm interested. Is frustrating as hell. I hear the controls are terrible. Yeah, it's weird, like the way that they like the word the mapping is weird, Like you really have to get used to it because like the boost is like on your left side when you usually would have it on your I don't. Know, like accelerate. Yeah, and I even said I would think like the UI is just kind of weird too, because like they have a they have this whole tutorial section, but like you can't when you quit out of like when you leave, it takes you back all the way to the main menu as opposed to being in the regular like tutorial menu and stuff like that. It's just like it's frustrating, m m, but you know it is. I guess it's technically. A still early access or out. No, it's out, it's out. Yeah, So I wish. I counterpicked that. I wish I counter picked that one. Why did it get really bad? Yeah? It only got like a seventy four. Yeah, so so Calve only got four points for it. So if I had counterpicked that, I would have only been minus four. It would have been huge. It would have been huge. Because I was talking to my buddy cal he was over last night and he's like, oh, yeah, I picked this rematch up because he's a big soccer guy something. I was like, Oh, I was really interested in playing that. He's like, he's like the control span. It's I mean, it's cool though, once you get used to it. Like the other problem is like if you're playing with randoms, like it's everyone wants to be the everyone wants to be freaking. It's just like it's just like freaking Rocket League. Yeah, so what you choose, Like there's only a limited. There's like three plays. It's like a three, three, four, four or five five okay, save as rock. Yeah, so you can and they always tell you to start at three v three and then because like the more players that there are, it's like you don't have to be a bit more coordinate because there's more players something like that. So yeah, it's it's it's pretty slick, like overall, like that would. Be hard, that'd be so hard. Yeah, to play like five players. Oh totally, Like I always open and like if you're yeah, there is voice. Chat though, there is voice chats, so there's like if you wanted to, but I'm sure we play Rocket League or whatever. The Rocket League like three v three or we do two v two series is so me and my buddies. Yeah, it's one of the only games I play that in war Zone. Oh and uh, we'll go on Rocket League and we'll do a two v two but we'll just do random teams and then we'll do a series and it's so fucking funny. Man. Yeah, we just so is so bad. Like this, like sometimes you just get blown out and you're just like no, yeah. There is like a mercy rule in this too, Like so if you have if one team scores four goals, like the game's. Over, but you don't even vote, it's just over. It's over. Oh okay, Wow, that speeds it up, because I hate when I'm like in this fucking game already and everyone's. Like no, no, no, I refuse, I refuse to forfeit. Now they just refuse to vote forfeit. Yeah, so, I mean it's it's but it is like it's fun but frustrating. I kind of like seafood, right, like where you need to get used to the Oh yeah. I hate seafood. I like seafood. I've never played seafood. It has a really cool concept, but it's it's hard. Yeah, it's hard. Oddly, I don't know if it's because like my son played it when they added like the easier mode or whatever. Okay, nice and he's like, yeah. I beat it. It was so easy mm hmm. And you suck. I was like, okay, okay, I mean like. You su dad, I beat it easy. He's beating like both the zeldas. I was like, all right, nice, I'm not I'm waiting. Uh. He will be twelve in a couple of days. Oh happy birthday. Yeah, name is he listening to the other trolls? Probably not? We you know what I do have I do have you guys on everyone's like when we're trying to do you. Go through and like take our swearing out. Oh my god, how would you do that? AI? Oh yeah, it's like. A I just it's funny because I'll listen to podcast like now I'm driving more for work, so like I'm listening to podcasts or when picking them up, they're. Like, oh, do you know these guys. I'm like, yeah, for the most part, I know the most of the people that I listened to and stuff like that, and and like, yeah, I have you guys on you. Know these idiots? Who are these guys? They got that pottiest mouth, what are they Canadian? I was like, probably probablyss. You a couple of hosers up north, so rematch. Not a lot of people apparently liked it, so, I mean, I don't know. Raw or Kel thought it was going to be huge. He thought that was going to be a banger, and it was just sorry, whoops, oh anything else? Yeah, and then I'm slowly working through Claire obscure. Oh yeah, damn eh, I dropped everyone's favorite game. Everyone's favorite game. I dropped vowed to play this. So yeah, that's probably good. That's probably I hadn't played. It was okay. Combat, Yes, the combat was the funnest part. I was a bit kind of disappointed in the world. It was kind of it was kind of stale, not scale, but it was. Like, yeah, lifeless, Like you just felt like there's people were just standing around waiting for you to come. Exactly. They were just standing there. Everyone was just standing there. That's exactly what it was. After coming from Henry. Yeah, I know they're coming from Kingdom Come. Like I was just like, this game is okay, but I just want to fight people. Everything else is not very good. And it looks pretty and it looks good. It looks good and the fighting is good, but like it's a pretty seven at a ten game. Yeah, that's where I'm like, I'm a little concerned about outer worlds too, Like if they're just going to follow the same formula. Yeah, probably might be another seven out of ten, depending on the subject matter. What was the what was the first one? First one got pretty good. It got pretty good. But I mean it's been years, right, so like people were expected and then then in between then and now there's been Balder's Gate, there's been Kingdom Come. So it's like, oh, yeah, your expectations are going to be a little bit higher. So like hot like that kind of open world game. I know, yeah, like after Kingdom come to the words two, I've we've said it a thousand times and there's gonna be it's gonna be so hard to be that now. Yeah, so I just get. The itch to go play it because I got all the DLCs. Yeah. Same, But yeah you said you were you dropped that you dropped about to play play Claires. Yeah, I just. Got to act to Okay, Okay, so that like that big review thing happened. I was like, oh, okay, the big revealed the end of Act one. That was that was that was something that was something. Yeah, it's a bold strategy, you know. The the rest of the game is it's pretty good. It's it. Maybe it might get a little bit old after. Yeah, i'd say that first act the first act was like because we have never seen anything like that, and it like hits that peak and then it I don't think it ever hits that peak again through the rest of the game. In my okay, the end, I really like the ending what they did there. But yeah, at the end of act one, I was like. Wow, I uh, I think the thing you are also playing, Well, I should actually say that I got a switch too, because I don't think I've said that. I was gonna ask you about that. After the just grabbed all the cardboard. Yeah, tons of them at Costco all right, you want to get into that. What's your first impressions of the switch too? Tell us what you've been doing with it. Well, I was playing Mario cart Card World, Mario Kart World. It's it's great. I haven't played with people yet, which I'm sure is even better obviously, but we might try to play with like Tony and Onyx and them nice because they all have it. But yeah, it's super fun. The racing. They added a little bit of a can you grind in the last one, like grind rails and shit, because you can do that in this which is sick. So you can if you have a jump ability or something or you're you can get onto one of these rails. You can take turns at like full speed, like if you're on the rail, and you can kind of do a jump out of it and a trick and you'll boost like when you get out of it. So it's pretty freaking cool to to kind of you can kind of find those, and they have them kind of all over the map where you can maybe like not secrets, but they're hard to get to. But if you can get to it, it's it's. Like you get points while you're grinding. No not like Tony Hawk. It's like Mary always like christ Air. Yeah, but yeah, it's fucking cool. I want to play with people. They should do. Like a whole big stream, like get all the podcast out. I try to do that. How many people are there? How many people can be in a race online? I think I don't know. I think I was twenty four or something. Really, I think it's a lot crazy Mario. A bunch of rubber banding world? Yeah, can you imagine sink issue online multiplayer? What player count? Yeah? In Mac World online player supports a maximum of twenty four players in a that's fucking crazy. You can find twenty four people. I don't know if I trust trust there. I don't trust their online enough to even handle that. But I don't know. I haven't heard anything about it. So it's funny like you're saying that because I've heard it's like surprisingly like whelming, like it's. It could be much better, like it it's not hard to improve on what they had and switch one. We'll just say that. But I just don't know if that's good, because. I mean, i've heard what was it, Mario Kart eight or whatever it was the one that came out on the switch was supposed to be like peak Mark. I loved Mario cart Age. Yeah, this one, I think is it's got everything that one does, but it's just better. It's just more right, Okay, you know what I mean. Yeah, they handle the exact same I'm assuming they're yeah yeah, yeah, like they're drifting and all that shit, yep, drifting and and it adds to the rails. Like I said, there's tons of new costumes, costumes for different people the open world. Yeah. So there's knockout races, which is like a point to point from one end to the map to kind of the other. But there's little segments and you have to qualify if the qualify for segment or you get kicked out. Yeah yeah, but they're hard because do you be in the whole first place, the whole fucking race, And at the very end I get hit with thirty five things and then I lose, and it's like fucking ten minutes of my Like the race is long, ten to fifteen minutes. You know, I don't say. Ten minuts long, that is long. That's a long race. It's a long race. It's like doing it's six segments and each segment is like Okay, it might be like maybe eight minutes or something eight to ten minutes, but like you have to start all over again after you get kicked out. It was so fucking annoying some of the times. But yeah, you unlock all these costumes and new vehicles and stuff. It's cool. It's cool. I haven't played Battle yet. I haven't played Battle yet, so we'll have to play that or something. Did you did you? Did you try to play it with mouse mode? No? I haven't done that yet. It's been in the dock the entire time, except for Pam just took it out because she got Pokemon Arsius again because she wanted to play it again. Actually, yeah, I mean I got I haven't. There's no like you don't have You don't have to buy the switch update for that, right. I don't know if there is one. I told her. I didn't know. I don't know, but I did buy the switch update to Tears of the Kingdom Zelda. That's how the game should have been played. That's how the game should have been in the first place. That's acceptible. It's acceptable. You can't play it without buying the update to play it. I can. It just runs the it doesn't run as well, it doesn't run in sixty fps because I booted it up and I played a little bit, and I was like, this kind of looks like shit, oh yeah, you have to buy the fucking upgrade. That's such crap though, I mean, come. On, so I had to buy the upgrade for seventeen Canadian dollars seventeen. My gosh, seventeen after. But yeah, the uh, everyone's great. Do you know what I'm I'm pissed off at and I think is just completely so stupid. My nice all the all the controllers I have that work on the switch, on the switch one, I have eight bit do ultimate controller. I updated the firmware first it says support switch to cool. I got this one, I got old. Do I have another one? Anyway? They can't wake the switch. Yeah, they can't wake the switch to Wow, Like are you shitting me? Who's Who's whose? Do you think they did that on purpose? Like? Is that on purpose? Like the fact that you had to spend seventy seven seventeen dollars for this update when you couldn't they could. Just upscale or whatever it is for like that version of switch. Yes, switch to versions probably, Yeah, come on, I mean they've had to. It's just basically a patch. They're they're settling you a seventeen dollars patch. You know who didn't charge for that, Cyberpunk they gave everything for free. Well, I mean they also they also had a shitty version of the. Uh so anyway, Yeah, so like if you think about that, because like I don't have to buy the switch to pro controller, I can go buy the eight bit due Ultimate two and it'll it should work, I think, But I think it's just switched one switch one controllers just don't wake it up, which is a giant pain in the ass for me because it's one hundred percent of the time in the freaking dog and I gotta go walk my old ass over there, bend over. Or very make the joy CON's off the switch and keep them on the fucking table there you go, and just wake it with them. Then it'll connect us as controller one. Yeah, I have to show it off. I mean I could do that, but I don't want to use those fucking things, you know what I mean. I mean they feel a little bit more comfortable. Do you have one? Seege, I thought you got us? I did, I did, I did I I mean, like, I don't I don't see it anymore. So unlocked it around box and that was it. Like it's gone, It's gone, never to be heard of. Oh my god. Wow. Yeah uh well so yeah, yeah, I mean I'm I'm enjoying it. I'm now I'm on DS two though, so kind of lost lost at tension. It just came lost my attention. Yeah, it came out. When did it come out? Twenty sixth? Twenty what? Yes? Two? Yeah? Death Stranding to two days ago, two days ago on the twenty sixth. Wow, okay, let me let me say something like for some reason, I I wasn't interested in the first one. Oh no, I was interested in the first one. I never picked it up because I thought when someone told, oh, it's walking something and you have to I thought that to walk in the first one, you have to like move the joysticks, I'll do this walk. Yeah, what That's what I thought, Like per leg Yeah, I was like, I'm not fucking doing that. It's like, what's that game with the guy in the pot? Oh yeah, yeah, I don't know what it is. That is so dumb, but I thought you had to. That's why people didn't like innovation. It's a walking simulator. You control two legs with the joysticks and you simulate walking. Like, are you kidding me? That's what you thought? You know what? I don't. I don't. I don't, I can I can understand why Nate. Just do Yeah, he just weird ship. And I was like, I was like, did he really make it like it was weird ship? Man? I don't know you can do that. Don't you hear this episode innovation? Yes, yeah, don't let him hear this episode. And we were playing it in a couple of years. Yeah, he'll patch the d S two with the joystick walk. So that's what I thought was for the longest time. And then after Jonathan played it, I was like, wait a minute, Jonathan wouldn't do that. Like Jonathan, he wouldn't play that. He wouldn't control two legs for six hours, just controlling two legs. To be fair. To be fair, though, how much did you actually play versus how much did you actually watch in that game? Oh? The first one? Yeah, Oh, there's a lot of playing, Like you you have to traverse across the fucking map. There's watching too, but that's once you get to like the the hubs and like you get to the story bits. But yeah, like traversal is, it's basically a game of traversal, that's what it is. And it's there's different ways to do to do it. It's it's very cinematic, so I mean, it's nice to look at while you are doing it. They have a nice cool soundtrack that they play once in a while that's really good. Uh. And it's just a vibe, you know what I mean. That's what that's what death stranding is. It's there's a vibe and it's super chill in between the the big parts, the tense parts. But there are tense parts because like walking traversing, you can avoid these kind of areas where there's those ghosts, the bats, but. You have it makes your path longer. Yeah, and it's kind of harder to do, so sometimes they force you to go through them because you have an objective in there or whatever. Yeah, but yeah, fighting those is very stressful. It's very stressful. I just it's it's just no less stressful in this one either. So it's like it has those elements. It's like once you come out of that, then there's a nice the nice lull where you can chill out a little bit, and you're doing some reversal, some package delivery, you know, controlling the two legs you don't controls are you? Are you sponsored by Monster again or. We got I don't know. No, I don't think there's major product that I've seen yet, but like I've watched the trailers. When I watched the trailers for number two, and I just it was just like it looked to be something special. Yeah, And I was like, I was like, I'm gonna play this, even though if you have to control both legs. I'll do it. I'll let me look up the first one went. I watched. I watched a good recap to myself. I watched, so I never played the first one, and I jumped into the second one and I watched like two big videos of it, so I got the whole lowdown of it, so I know exactly what's happening. I got connected to the to the characters, but I know what's going on. I know what they're talking about when they mentioned things, and the names and the people's faces, like I know all that stuff. So I jumped into the number two and like the like I'm about three hours in and just how they start the game off. It was like a movie. It was so beautiful and so. You're watching it mostly or you're yeah. Like the intro like credit is like when the credits are going, yeah, and it's like sweeping over and it's like playing that music like that yeah, great song. The environments look insane. I mean the first one did look amazing. Yeah, the first one. That's the first My first thought about the first one. When I turned it on, I was like, this game looks fucking insane and it's from twenty nineteen or something, and I was like, holy shit, Like the guys know how to make a fucking game. Yeah, Like it's crazy. It like it literally blew my song. I was like, like the team is insane. Yeah, and then it like sweeps over the mountain where you start on the mountain, like uh, Sam starts on the mountain because you're trying to get Holy fuck, and like you see like the mountains forever and it's all super detailed and it looks gorgeous. Yeah. I'm just like I can't how do they do this? And the intro you're walking on the ridge, the ridge of the mountain, so the camera's kind of you can it says press R three to use cinematic camera. So you press R three and it zooms out and does this sweeping kind of like really cinematic shot while you're running, while you're controlling him run and it I think it keeps you on the path, like you don't have. Okay, like it's it's not gonna like mess up every time it turns, like you. Know, but like because if you don't have cinematic camera and you have to keep your balance, you have to there's buttons that you press to kind of shift your weight and stuff. Yeah, so it's it's disabled. That's disabled. When it's the cinematic camera, you just can walk relatively straight. But it looked it was really good, really good, and like it's. Just there's there's this feeling about it. It just feels so rich. Yeah, like it's very special. There's a special feeling there. Lloyd, is there is this on PC or you have to know? And I gotta say I got for regular PS five it looks fucking unbelievable. I can't I cannot believe they actually have this running. How the way that looks on PS five, I mean is good. Yeah, and the thirty fps is fantastic, really good. It's a solid thirty like all the time. It's which I think it kind of helps towards the cinematic kind of Yeah, maybe the cinema. That's true. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, it's nice to have that, like as you're going into a cut scene or whatever, it's the same frame rates. Yeah, yeah, I get that. Yes, that's true too. Yeah, really good fucking game quality. It's good. It's sitting at a like a ninety two or something on Open Critic. Who had that in your. Who had that? Yeah? Kelve, of course, Oh really, he took first. He took first with it to but he's got like seven games released. I only have five, and he's uh six points ahead of me or something, which and he'll they got four points from remake or whatever rematch. But yeah, I'm I'm looking forward to just picking up that controller and playing whenever I get an hour or two and I fuck, I can't wait. Yeah, yeah, it's really good. There's a few there's a few things, Like there was a thing I had to I had to bring a package somewhere to build a watch tower, but I think I left the package back at the other fucking uh dome. So I got to the points I build your watch tower, and I'm looking for the thing to build. Don't have it, like you don't have the PCC thing. No, I think I dropped it because I got into a fight somewhere and I think they beat it off me and. I didn't just craft, just craft. So now I gotta go back to one of those output like the pop up outpost things. Probably craft another one. But the fighting, I just I love stunning them. I don't. I got the stun. I barely fought any buddy. I just sneak around. I'm a sneaky They give you a right, they give you a rating too, and like a title based on your play style, which is cool. Oh yeah, so if you're like a sneaky guy, I forget what them, I forget what what kind of rank I am. It's like a silent transport or. Something kind of like a hate man thing. But then it like it'll up it'll upgrade your stats based on how you play it. You don't have control over the stats, right, so if you're sneaking and all this kind of stuff, then it'll like put up the and. All that exactly exactly. So yeah, so my guy is kind of sneaky, I guess, but yeah, that's uh. I've used the rubber bullet guns. I like that. I'm not tasting anybody. These guys are. They're out with the rubber bullet gun, not the ghost snow specially anybody in this game. Yeah, you don't kill people in the game. It can that that part of part of the Lord. It's part of the story. Like when people die, they turn into those ghost things and they cause like these and yeah, it caused these giant explosions that like would decimate cities, just called a void out. But yeah, so every time you have a corpse, you have to dispose of it. That's the burning, yeah, right right before before it turns into a BT and causes. A fucking void. That's crazy. Yeah, it's it's quite the it's quite the mind twister. But but it's good. It's good. I can't wait to build my zip lines and just zip around. Do you think they'll they think they'll come up with something else, Like I just want to got a little motorcycle, a sick motorcycle. That that's that's that. You get that, Yeah, you get that. Oh, it'll probably gets soon. But like, what's what's wrong with the motorcycle? Wy don't you use the motorcycle. In the first one? Yeah, because you can't fucking drive over mountains or the motorcycle. You're just on the roads for the most part. Yeah, roll it'll be cool if like they build like a spider buggy, I had like spider legs, they crawl up a mountain. Yeah, they didn't have those. They had trucks. They had like vans and shrikes and bikes. But yeah, for the most part, you gotta The ziplines are so fucking good, and I just hope there's maybe something new that that they're they're gonna put in it, because it's largely it's very similar to the first one, just the way you play it there crafting and the I've. Already went to three I've already went to three outposts, and there's no way to do these ziplines, not yet. No, they're. Well, you'll unlock it as the story goes on and you get to different areas. They'll introduce more more building options and stuff like that. Is too still in the game. Yeah, Oh yeah, he's it's a guest up here, dead man. Yeah is that who he is? Oh? Cool, he's a filmmaker. Right, Pans Labyrinth, Pans, Brant hell Boy, hell Boy. He did that Netflix horror series. Yes, it was pretty good. Our our. What that was It called Pinocchio Pinocchio's Claws. We had a buddy in high school who actually worked on all the makeup and set pieces. Not all of them, but most of them. I wanted to get him on the show, but he's like, I can't talk about it. It's very hush, don't want to talk about it. But yeah, he does, he does, he does, he did. He did the Star Trek show too. He does all the nice makeup and masks and stuff. Pretty cool ship, eh. But also playing, I'm playing when I'm not playing two and when I just want to shoot some things, I'm playing split Gate two. Yeah. I played with Nave the other night and uh and I went on his show. I went on Gaming together, talk about it nice. This game does something I really like. It's fast, it's fun, it's kind of twitchy with the mouse. I haven't even played on mouse and keyboard yet. Really like. I mean, it's basically a Halo, but they made it a little faster. Yeah, Halo, Halo with better movement and less power weapons, but there are power weapons. There are power weapons, but it's not as many. Yeah, I'm not. Gonna less what I said. I said, less power weapons, that's true. I'm not going to ground the corner with like a massive ammer exactly. Yeah. I hate power weapons. I hate them, but in this I don't really really. But this one's cool because you can get away from people pretty quickly if you know how to portal around. That's fucking sweet. I love it. I love it. Yeah, sorry too. Yeah, it's hard, but with mouse and keyboards click like just always have. That's true. I have been playing on controllers, so I haven't. Really it's hard. It's hard to like get my portal thing onto one of the surfaces on the controller because yes, because you. Got a man that beams on controller. It's just like I'll rip someone from across the fucking map, just like. Okay, I don't like that stupid capture the ball mode. They played a couple of rounds, right yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah of the beta. Yeah yeah yeah, yeah, maybe I'll play some tonight. Actually, I don't know. It's good. Like anything else I've played, it is good, so I The Battle Royale is new to the to the release, I enjoyed it. I won a couple okay, really yeah, I don't know if it's bots. I don't know who's loots. I don't know. That's my My next point is it's hard weird. I'm killing it in this game. I don't know if I'm like the best player on the planet or they're all bots. Like, I don't know. I'm assuming they're all bots because like, I'm not that great. I think they're bots. I haven't played, but like every match, I like, fifty sixty kills? What what motor? Are you playing? The one slot? No, it's like the one before you open up the rest of them. So it's like arena. Yeah, but it's like, is it the eight eight eight? No? No, no, I do the arena where it's just the two teams against each other. It's a ball game playlist yeah, yea, yeah, yea yeah, playlist Okay, cool, And I'm just fucking ripping though. I just like you guys can't keep up with me. You can't keep up with me. But then I go on controller and I got here we go. This is where I'm really probably where I'm at. Oh yeah, man, I destroy people with my key I'm the controller. I'm not that great. I've been ripping on controller too. I actually even played and keyboard yet because I was just doing really on PT Yeah, oh Wright, what are you playing on five? I play on PC and P. Five okay, okay, yeah yeah same in COD I play a controller now exclusively on Call of Duty on war Zone, which is crazy. Like if you'd have told me this like five years ago, that I would be playing like war Zone on controller only on controller, I would have been like, yeah, fucking right, like yeah right, but no, it's just so strong, and I learned. I've actually learned how to use a controller now, So it's it's definitely a game by game basis, because like Apex is a mouse and keyboard game for me, Splitkaate two, I think it could do mouse and keyboard. I'm gonna try. It's so quick, it's so quick a mouse keyboard just whip around, whip it whipping around. Yeah, alright, like being this guy being that shoot a new portal, jump in the portal, shoot this guy jumping a new portal. Just the movement is sick. Oh yeah, have you ever tried like running? If you jump, if you slide, jump and hold crouch and keep repeating like jump, You'll You'll go faster and faster and faster. It's fucking cool. So you like slide jump, keep your legs crouched, land and just keep bundy hopping and you'll go faster and faster. It is sweet. Yeah, that's a good one. Other than that, nothing nothing. From I played Bizarre. I've been playing the Bizarre grinding ranked. Dude, I I'm almost gold rank man also play. You don't play Bizarre, Bizarre plays you. Yeah, But like before they changed all the kind of rewards and stuff, it was like I was not playing Ranked because I couldn't. You have to pay to enter. You have to pay like a in game currency to enter the ranked mode, and then you want to win the rewards back so you can buy in again, and that's how it works. But before I couldn't get any of the currency because the only way to get the currency was to play and win in Ranked, and I wasn't getting like I don't have one free thing a day, right, and you get decimated if you don't win, then you have to wait the next data to play ranked again unless you buy coins. Yeah, so I'm actually now getting going and have a stockpile of the currency because I go further and I actually had a chance because of the way they put the rewards. The battle pass. It's a free battle pass. Everyone gets it. There's no like extra stuff, but you can buy extra advancement kind of thing, so you can buy levels son but everyone gets the same items. Yeah, but everyone gets the same but like you can only i mean your challenges. Your daily challenges give you a certain XP, like a lot of XP, so you'll get a couple of rewards. But then once you're done your daily challenges, it's really slow, so you kind of do your dailies, collect the rewards, and it kind of gives you. It'll give you free tickets to play ranked. It'll give you the gems to buy your way into ranked. So I'm playing just way more ranked now where it wasn't before because I couldn't because you can't get past that initial because it was expensive and you didn't get any rewards for doing anything, like all you got was the the chess back. But now it's cool, it's sweet, it's it's fun. I like it. I haven't played Hartstone Battlegrounds in a long time. I've been playing the Bizarre hm. Okay, I've been playing the Pokemon Training bar. Oh boy, it's so easy to play when I'm just like rocking the baby to sleep. I wish Bazaar had a mobile. Yes, I did too. I would definitely be playing. That's why I was surprised that there was no mobile version. It's got to be coming soon. It's still pretty early, like it was just in beta. Like I think this is still the beta. No oh no, it's full it's fully released, but it was only like at the beginning of June. I think that it came out, so they might add mobile soon. That would be cool. You need a bigger phone. No, I don't know if you'd be able to see all that ship on a little Give it to my tablet at least let me play it on mine. Yeah, yeah, that would be cool. That'd be cool. Oh I did. I did play a game because we got sent to a key. Oh right, that's right for another card game. We should just change our channel. It's a card games yeah. Nice. Yeah, it's a card creation roguelike. Nice. Oh No, I don't know how to say the name. Suku Yomi, suki Yomi, the Divine Hunter. Okay, the spy or something. No. I love SOA The Spider is very good. This one is like it's it seems to be. I recorded a video of me playing it for like an hour for first impressions. I'm chopping it up now to make a little, a little first impressions video. I might even just scrap it, use the gameplay and then talk over it. I haven't decided yet, but quickly you can tell like they've they used a lot of AI for stuff. I think for maybe the art. I don't know, Yeah, I'll check, but like it's got a cool concept. So you're in like this uh this tower. You're this big tower and you're climbing levels like floors of this tower, and there's monsters and demons and stuff that you fight, and you collect cards on your way up this tower and you fight these monsters with the cards you find. YadA, YadA, YadA, And then you have to make certain decisions at certain like event spots, like do I kill this guy? Do I beat him up? Or do I whatever? There's events and like like nodes just like in Slave Spire and yeah yeah, and then once you make your decision, it adds it adds your decision. It takes your decision and puts it on the side of your screen, and like all these decisions that you make, it lists them all at like pivotal parts of each floor. And then you get to these little fountains where you create these like god cards, and it takes all your decisions that you've made and it like creates a card based on these decisions you've made, and it spits out a card like oh, you've killed this guy, you killed that guy? You yeah, yeah, and it's like, oh, you seem to really like to fight people and whatever, so it's like, here's the here's a card. I think I what I got was Aries the God of War, and then it spits out a card and I was like, oh, fucking right, that's pretty cool. And it kind of does that, and you go level by le, you go floor by floor by floor, and you keep going up. A lot of reading not a fan, not a fan, like a lot a lot for a card game. For a card game, there's there's usually text on cards. Got no no that I'm okay, but like if they're they're trying to like push this story behind it, and I'm like, you don't need a story, guys. You don't need a story. And it's like, oh, yeah, that's what that Haste game did. I skipped a lot of it. Yeah yeah, yeah, but I loved the game, Like, yeah, did you play it? No? No, no, no, I had to buy it. Oh really no, Well there's a demo. You can try the demo. Oh yeah, try the demo. It's fucking cool. Yeah, it's really I liked it. I liked it, but still early super early access, like super early access demo. It's not even I don't I don't think that's out on early Access yet. I think it's coming out on early Access. And so you got like a sneak preview. Yeah, sneak ultra early access demo. Nice, better get that content out. Yeah. And so they're like, oh, just take us and do this because they saw us do for Wild Frost, but I don't remember doing much content on. Oh yeah, I think you said how to get like how to get. Some oh some card? Yeah, some they unlock the card. Yeah yeah. But this Haste thing seems like this is how they make Sonic. Yeah, it's like Sonic meets like Slay the Spire. So like each level is a node on the map and you have to get to the top to fight the boss, and you have to go through the different areas on the map and do that on each one of them. But if you. Die, you have to start it all over. You get spit out. But it's cool, like you you get a rank based on how fast you're I think based on how fast you just complete the level, so you have to be constantly. If you land improperly, it slows you down, so you have to combo your smooth landing and perfect. You have to land perfectly and you you kind of gain a speed boost. It's really cool. But if you hit something or if you you fuck up a landing, like, it slows you down and the world behind you is disintegrating. That's what's kind of chasing you. And so you have to stay ahead of it and and and get to the portal at the end of each of each level. It's it's fucking sweet. It's a sweet game. I beat it. I beat the game. I beat the game, yes a while ago. Yeah, that's that's that's it. That's it for me. Cool. I don't got nothing else, all right. Cool, So uh we're just gonna talk about I got I got one one little thing I want to talk about for gaming news. Okay, well, let's talk about some things. Then. Do you want to talk about stop killing games? You'll stop? You want to talk about that? Sure, Chris, you know you know what's happening, don't you know? Are you caught up? I think so? I think at this point? Yeah, So stop killing games for the listeners who don't know. Stop killing Games is a consumer movement started to challenge the legality of publishers destroying video games they have sold to customers. Okay, I like it. Okay. So an increasing number of video games are sold effectively as goods with no stated expiration date, but they're designed to be completely unplayable as soon as support from the publishers ends. Right. So it's a form of planned obsolescence. So they plan for the game to eventually be obsolete, and it's not only detrimental to customers, but makes preservation effectively impossible. So game this is about game preservation effectively, right. And furthermore, the legality of this practice is largely untested in many countries. So this guy who runs this initiative, Ross, his name is Ross. Stop Killing Games. He he's been doing this for a long time. He's been doing it for a long time. He has nine years I think he said, he's dedicated, like he's been doing this, like pushing this and pushing this, and this is like the peak. This is it. This is where the whole thing like is made or broken. There's a deadline of July thirty first for this petition that he has. It's the European Citizens Initiative. So what that is is it's according to him, it's the most popular or popular the most powerful thing that he can do that's left to do. It's it requires a million signatures. And if they get a million signatures, I guess in Europe they will they'll basically pass a law. Yeah we can't sign it, but this is in Europe, because this exists in Europe. It's the only avenue that he found to do it, or the mostly realistic one. So this initiative gets a million signatures, like the law is likely to be passed because they see I guess when this happens, they see that there's so many people who care about this. Then they're like, okay, people want this, then they'll make it. They'll make laws around it. So that's what it's about right now. And the problem was the problem was about ten months ago Pirate Software ten months. It was about ten months ago Pirate Software was asked about this initiative and and he took a look at it, and he made a bunch of content on it and like completely shitting on it, saying how bad it was, that he would never do it. He would actively tell people not to do it because he say that he did. Yeah, he just because he didn't understand it. What he said was just misinformation. So ross the owner or the head guy. He made a video just last week to replot to kind of respond, and he put it off for so long because he didn't want to want it to be a drama kind of created like creating drama or whatever. He just wanted it to just be about this. But like it did so much damage to it that he had to in elastice ditch effort kind of a month before the thing is due. He had to make it so long. It just because I said, yeah, because he was he didn't want to create the drama. But like he's like finally was just like fuck it, like it's the last month we have to do this. So he brought it up and it got tons of views. He reacted to Thor at Pirate Software, like every all the bullshit that he said, he reacted to it and said, no, no, that's not what it is. You don't understand what this is. And it's crazy because it's he's so huge. Thor is so huge that it it just a huge damper on the whole movement as it was kind of gaining momentum, which is crazy, like a huge content creator like that, like just shitting all over this and people are like, yeah, this guy's smart, he must know what he's talking about, and it completely died. But after this video that he made last week, we had Moist critical and some ordinary gamer make videos on it and reacting to how to hell to what Thor did, and he's like, they're kind of exposing what the Thor said was just complete nonsense and was misinformation. So since then, since then, the petition was at four hundred and fifty When Ross made his video, the petition was at four hundred and fifty thousand signatures. Now this was only like I don't know how many days later it is four three or four days later, it's at six hundred and twenty thousand. Nice, okay, and he's got a month, one month left. That's over one hundred and fifty thousand signatures in a couple of days, just from moist And. But we do do we know what or was miss like? What was he saying? He was saying that that the developers would have to convert all multiplayer games to single player games. It would completely change the balance of the game. They would have to rebalance all the blah blah blah. Developers would never do that. That's stupid. That's the stupidest thing I ever heard. Like he was shit, just ship, yeah, this. Is my assa ask yeah. Yeah. It was just like, man, what the are you talking about? And he said just what it sounds like he went off like some weird It was very weird. He just completely refuses to accept what he did. That's I think what the main part is. And he still doesn't and he said. No, yeah, he doubled down on it. Yeah, he doubled down. He doubled down. So anyway, what it effectively means is that developers would need to even for multiplayer games. I don't know if live service games would be outside of this, you know what I mean, But even with live service games, I don't think it matters, as if we made it a law as part of the development cycle, they would have to plan for this. We have this multiplayer game, this whatever game, whether it's a single player game that needs to connect to their servers for whatever reason and you can't play it offline. They would have to make it so that when they're done supporting the patch it, oh it's offline, they patch it or give tools to the user to be able to do that, to like host a dedicated server or to blah blah blah. You know what I mean. Yeah, imagine, like what was it, Knockout City they gave the Dodgeball game. When they sunset that game, they allowed people to host private servers. So it's nice, it's that's exactly what I mean. That's exactly what I mean. So it's like it's great, and like, I don't see what the the issue would be. The thing was he he. He explained us some other things that were kind of like when when a company hosts the servers, they based on the connections, whatever connections or tools or whatever they use in the servers, those have to have licenses that are from other companies that they can't really control. So some of that is integrated a little deeper than probably they should have in order to support this kind of thing. So that's a lot of the why No, I believe that was from Ross from Okay, yeah, so it is a thing, and Thor did mention it as well. But it is a thing. But like that would be for current games, like it would be going forward, right, they would have to develop around. I don't expect them to do like a retroactive like yeah, like moving forward. This is how moving forward. When the law is passed in Europe anyway, so game developers in Europe, so European and then the rest of the world would follow. Basically, I think it's essentially because like when your sundset a game, the people who made it aren't making money more so they're like why yes, well they they don't want to support. Because essentially, ever since, ever since Steam is a thing, you in the fine print you don't own your games on Steam. No, even you should see Blizzard like the Battlenet launcher. Ross showed it. It's like it says, right here, we will stop supporting this game for no reason at all, Like it literally says no reason at all, Like. It's useless, useless, posting like I don't have to get the point private wow servers, that would be sick something like that. If you could do it, just. Have the option to do it. There is, but it's kind of hacky, right Yeah. This would be like officially supported tools. So after the game is done, boom, you could do that. That'd be so cool. Yeah, I mean it's it's true because like it doesn't matter. Like people it all like worked up about this whole Oh my god, we don't have any physical copies it. Yeah, but like the physical copies don't even matter either right now, the ones that we have, because it's like, yeah, they are just unless Yeah, I mean, I'm sorry courage era. Yeah, like it's it all. All it is is literally you like a key, a key allowing you to access that that game for how however long they choose to give it to you for. Yeah, it's like it's kind of ridiculous whatever. Yeah. And then and a lot of it now is they'll give you the disc which has data on it, which installs on your your console, but you're still downloading a twenty gig first day patch. That's so annoying. Except for a Nintendo you just fucking put in the cartridge in that starts. I heard the switch to. Now it still has to download the game onto the device, and they have access. I guess I always I've only had a digital the digital Mario, and then I have a physical Archaeus and it just starts right up, like but that's a switch one game. So yeah, Like the thing with him I was watching, I was watching The Madness from ye Or. It's just I think the problem is he's already like garnered so much bad press from all. Of his other things. It's just like I think he went you guys like, watch that guy. It's not a good psychiatrist or whatever. Yeah. I had him on Doctor Doctor K. Yeah, and it's like it's just like what. A psychiatrist had him on. I haven't watched doctor K's episode with Thor yet. It's good. It's good, and it's like it's just like but he still doesn't get it, and like at the end, sorry for spoiling, he's just like, Oh, Okay, I see where we're going here. He's like, uh, all right, I don't think we're getting anywhere with this. I don't because he doesn't get it. He doesn't understand like what he's doing is like not helping his situation. But at the same time, like I watched another like reaction video where like some other guy had this same situation happened to him but at a smaller scale, and he was like, I understand why he's doing this because he's like he's digging his heels because it's like, I don't you get you, because like you have these random people putting comments on you constantly, and they and the the reality is they think that they're trying to help you. I keep by saying the same shit over and over again, but it's like you've already tuned it out, Like I don't care anymore, you know what I'm saying, Like that's that's that's probably what's going through his mind. He's like I don't care. I'm just this is this is my decision, and that's it. But it's like like the fact that he just doesn't own up to it at all. He's just like, I guess he did the same thing. I guess in the world of warcraft thing. But yeah, yeah, I was like, but that was I was like, man, whatever. Yeah, that was blown out of proportion for yes, unnecessarily. Was it absolutely was. It was, but I mean even the like, I thought he had good things to say when he when the Apex got hacked, he was on he did a big, huge thing about that and covering it and helped them. So I mean, like, I don't know, but it just. Yeah, yeah, I think that's the issue too, right, because he presents himself as like a very intelligent person, very well well spoken and all that stuff. So when and he says stuff, people listen. Right exactly. That's the thing. He shot all over this fucking yeah. And the fact that he didn't like he was literally reading it and he still wasn't getting it. Like what they were saying. He's just like it was just unforture. Oh man, I gotta watch that. I gotta listen to that doctor campisode. Yeah. Yeah, So this is only for Europeans, so I guess I looked at our YouTube stats are analytics people, We have four point eight percent of our views have been from Europe. So that's at least three signatures. Yeah, we could get them. You're welcome, Ross, You're welcome Ross, three signatures, come in your way, go sign it those those of you in Europe. Yeah, I make that impact. But yeah, that's it. That's what I had here. I wanted to bring it up. I wanted to talk about this, like, yeah, like what especially if you're spending money, because now with games getting so expensive, I want to own something. I want something. I don't care if I don't play it. Yeah, I want to maybe play it one day twenty years from now. Imagine you could play like Tiberian Son. Yeah, still like Command and Conquer Tiberian Son. Like you can just coast that we have. Yeah, you can just host. I don't know if you can, but maybe, but probably not if they released the the binaries or whatever, so you can host. Which is sheep. And the more that these live like Diablo, the more these live service like seasoned games, go and go and go. We spend the money in there and we follow like sheep, that that's what we are. And then they slaughter us, slaughter our wallets, and they don't give us our rights as gamers, and they just own everything. And we're just paying to play, you know, we're just paying to play renting games. Yeah, we're just renting games. That's why I'm a big free to play gamer right now. Yeah. I was like I'll never I was like, I'll never buy another PS five game in my life, like fuck you, and then I go spend one hundred dollars on death stranding to physical copy. Yeah, I got a physical myself as well more value. You know, it's tangible at least yet during the terms of service anyway. Yeah, trade in. See how far that takes us. I have something mm hmm. So there's a new game that was was released on game Pass FBC fire Break. Yes, have you played that yet? Are you guys gonna be playing that? We did and we will be talking about it? Excellent? Okay, I guess I don't want to really spoil. Your sounds familiar. It's not doing too good. It's struggling, well, it's struggling on PC. I don't know about that. Cale Remedy Entertainment's new first person shooter FBC Firebreakers having trouble finding an audience on PC, it seems, with the game's peak concurrent player count below two thousand following its June seventeenth release. Oh yes, this game in the Control Universe. FBC Firebreak is the Remedy's first multiplayer game, and feedback from both players and critics have been mixed so far. It just seems like these all these FPS games are just can't get. Remember we saw the trailer for this, yeah, and it was then it was like, who's going to play that? I'm like, why would you play this? Why? I was saying that. I remember saying that this doesn't I don't get it. Why would I play a game? Though? It's like, I mean, if you if you like the control slash all in Wake universe, like why not. And it's like it's like the Remedy that's very niche is very different. For sure, it's a very niche game. Like I don't like to was excellent, but like this is a FPS, so don't I don't get it. It seems like it seems like there's so many new FPS that are trying these little things and like no one's like it's not catching, it's not getting its gambles. Yeah, they're big old gambles because everyone is playing their cord and their fucking whatever else. It's not free, yes. But yes it's true. It's not free. But everything that they said, like any updates, there's no like like the gotcha things or any of that stuff there, and any content that's coming out post launch is free, like it comes you don't have to pay for it. There's no like. Cosmetics, extra cosmetics and stuff like that you can pay for. Although I don't know, it's weird. But what is it? Cooperative first versus shooters a tow op shooter? Yeah, PVEV Okay, So it's a story game. There's a story kind of Yeah, Like you go. Into like these bureaus. You go into these offices and you have to clean out like monsters and like ghosts and ship is it likes. If it's a single player PV, like, there's gotta be a story. I mean, you just go in and do missions. And I would say, yeah, I would say it's like it's like Hell Divers, but not like Hell, not in. This scale of Hell Divers. Okay, Like you have objectives that you have to do and and uh based on the particular map that you're on. And there's That's the other other issue that I guess people are complaining about is that it is there's only like three or four maps at the moment. Okay, wow yeah mm hm. So So. As of June twenty fifth, FBC firebreaks peak and current players as I was below two thousand, but that's still double the concurrent player account of concord. There it is people are still what oh during their peak? Yeah, they're their peak. Yeah, Like I said, do people even want to play shooters anymore? That's not call of duty? Or like what does what does somebody have to do to get people interested in another shooter that's not call of duty? Ah? Yeah, it's a good question. It's a good question. You got your I haven't played Apex in a long time. The gate they're already laying people off. Yeah, is they've already chopping the chopping and maybe like maybe people are like, oh, I'm not playing it now. That's that's apparently some people did say that, and we're like that, but that's freaking dumb. But but yeah, the shooters, I mean, Call of Duty just has such a huge player base that they're just not going to play anything else, like they they might, but they still go back no matter what. And the game sucks right now. The game is really bad right now. Oh, the game is so battered. Now I can talk about it after you're done. But yes, because it's a bit of a news thing as well. Actually, okay, okay, So another piece of information with FBC Firebreak is they're jumping on the train of minimum and recommended PC requirements include upscaling, So their minimum requirements. Just lazy lazy ports, lazy PC ports YEP. So minimum ten eighty P sixty fps, you'll have to have upscaling set to quality and graphics set to low, you know, like fuck you recommended at fourteen forty P sixty fps. You'll have to have your upscaler on quality and medium graphics. And then for average performances. Say what kind of card like recommended? Yeah? Yeah, GPU for this. Yeah, so minimum is ten to seventy or RX fifty six d XT. That's pretty old. Yeah, the recommended is a thirty sixty or sixty six hundred XT. To get sixty fps on medium, you'll have to have your upscaler on quality. For high performance RTX thirty seventy and an RX sixty eight hundred XT for four K at sixty fps, you'll have to have your upscaler set to performance. Yeah, okay, imagine playing on that first PC. Let's say you have a ten to seventy, a GGX ten seventy, this old fucking thing. This thing is from like twenty seventeen or something. Yeah, twenty sixteen, maybe they're still giving you life, But what kind of CPU are you running with that? That old fucking thing? Do you have a new CPU? Maybe you do, but if you don't, what if your system is just that old? The what AI upscaling are they gonna use? It's gonna be garbage FSR or the ten eighty doesn't support fucking DLSS, does it? No? No, No, they'll have the FSR or so'll be FSR which sucks the scaling or the fucking Intel one XCSS which sucks. Be horrible. That would be awful, would just be smudge, It would just be vasileine. It would be disgusting. I would never play a game with that, Oh my god. And I don't if that's all you know. Play it at played at seven to twenty p instead. Because there's some people out there that's like, oh, I'm coming from console, I'm gonna get a PC. Okay, yeah, and they'll buy a pre pre built PC or whatever, and then they won't touch the settings, and then when they boot up, they're still a game, right, and the game will like give you recommended setting and set that fucking up, and then they play and they don't get they don't They're like, okay, right, well if they don't know, man, yeah right, you know what they say, ignorance is bliss. But you're gonna see this because they want they still want to bring those older poor players in, right, the older pores, the old pores, the poorers who had kids and now can't buy any buy anything else. So and they still want a game, but they can't spend fifteen sixty fifteen one hundred two thousand dollars on a new rate. So they're gonna they're gonna rock their ten seventies for another two hours, and they're that up scaling is gonna be there to save your fucking ass. Yeah yeah, well, once it gets that's it. And like the more people that can play the game, the more concurrent players. You can get two thousand concurrent players, that's. True, That is true, And it's on game Pass, so like people are probably gonna download it and they still only have two thousand. Yeah yeah, it's not a good look, a bit, wonky. I don't have game Pass, so I do. I forgot to cancel. I forgot to AI subscriptions me too, Fuck, I find AI subscription is like having an AI subscription is just something that you should have these days, you know. Yeah, you have your Netflix subscription or whatever subscription, and your you have your Internet bill, you have your AI bill. That's that's how the world. Your AI bill. Like, you can't you can't live with it, your AI bill. I can't live on my Internet and I just go that's no, I can't get rid of my AI. Maybe someday soon it'll combine the AI and the Internet and your Internet would be like Jarvis from from Iron Man. Would you just have the Internet? And that's what it is? And it's like, I mean they got the metasses. Yeah, talking about I talk to it and ship someone had that. Pamp's cousin had those glasses. He's uh, he came up from San Francisco. He works for Google. He worked for Google. I think he works for Google or metay. But he had a pair of them. Did you get to try them? I was not there. No. Pam was about it. She said it was crazy. I was like, damn, should get him on the pod talk about some cool tech they're working on in the basement. Yeah, I can talk about it. What if we blur your face? Yeah, here's your voice. That'd be sweet. Anyway. Is that what you had? Is that that's what I had. Yet Hey, well I can piggyback on it. When I was talking about the god thing, so well, were we talking about how people aren't leaving COD? But right what's what's happening right now in COD is. The You just play it and said it was good. It's good. But I play casual mode, Dude, I play just casual with Stephen Gray because we're not good. Well I can play normal mode. They can't. But but it's it's bots, right, it's mostly bots, and we kind of have fun, and you just fuck around a little bit. Sometimes you do get you do run into like a real team and you're like, oh, these guys are real and we're just kind of spread out fucking around, so we have to like group up and take a real fight. It's fun. It's it's actually fun. And then at the end of the game you meet a bunch all the real players who are left, and you have the end zone and you do the It's fun because it gives you a chance to just get there at least to try to win, whereas playing the real mode there's SBMM. So they're in my lobbies, you know, like plus two point zero KDR lobbies. Like we're not coordinated enough to do anything about it. Anyway. There's cheaters right now, lots of cheaters in the ranked mode in the tournament, in a literal tournament. Okay, they had the World Series of war Zone. It was called it's like the biggest event of the year for war Zone, and they literally had cheaters that they weren't really doing anything about, like not on the stage. It was it wasn't it wasn't a land, but it's for a qualification for the land event, and it's just full of cheaters. All the top people are all cheaters and they're just doing it, and they have a discord. They're publicly saying what kind of cheats are using? And all you need to do is join in the lobby in the game, you say, oh, you want to join the Turnamork tournament because it's like it joins you in matches with those other people and you could just qualify and then if you're good enough, you can go to the land and win money. You'd like actually get money too for qualifying. So these cheaters are getting money, but how do they allow that to happen? Like people are pissed. You have people who are their income is playing Call of Duty and they need to get into these events to qualify and make money. That's their job. And they're just getting fucked by cheaters who are just like like, it's so stupid, it's a stupid as shit and EA is doing Just report them, just report them or activist. Sorry. Yeah, so Callege Duty is just like it's a giant shithole right now, and all the players know it. All the players know it. But I mean, if you're in casuals like me, just come on back to casuals. It's fun, really, And that's what's going on in the Call of Duty world right now. I so, just real quick, I keep hearing there have been rumors since Half Life two came out, but people are saying that three is supposedly coming. Half Life three supposedly. Someone like data mind somewhere in Valve and they found that's. Wow, you know, you know who the inside scoop on that. I wonder if that's just old stuff or if it's recent, just like I'm sure they've in the last twenty years, have fucking had some information about doing it or or there's some data in there. Yeah, I mean, who knows what it is. I don't know. I wonder if that would. Be what we know will not officially conferred by Valve. Strong rumors suggests that Half Life three, or a game code named HLX, is in development and maybe nearing completion. Reports indicate it's a full fledged non VR game and is playable from start to finish. Some sources even suggest a potential announcement this summer and possible release this winter. They data mined the game and played it. No, no, no, they like they found like just some document or something that reference it. But like, how crazy would that be if twenty twenty six we have GTA six and Half Life three commits? I would say three? How insane with three would be? See and supposedly a Halo remaster too. Like again, don't they do that all? How about another Gears of More Fucking Reasons the. E Days coming out that year too, So it's like we're back, We're back. In the early two. Thousands, Half Life half Life two was sick. I wonder if I can go. But rumors suggest it will be the final chapter and the Half Life two story arc, potentially providing a definitive ending for Gordon Freeman's story. The least speculation rumors ages a potential announcement as early as this summer quarter three, twenty twenty five, with with a release of quarter four, twenty twenty five. That'd be crazy. Maybe they're rushing it out to get it out before g T G T A because I got fuck like, oh GT is not releasing end of twenty twenty five anymore, get it out, get it out. I don't think you can. I don't think they could compete with g T A six though, Like there's half like fans, but yeah, they're older people, you know, well, PC gamers less you know what, console gamers aren't gonna get alf like three fuck you guys know, No, that's true. Unless do they do they announce it like and they do. Like. As I play Death Stranding too, like do. They do they release it? And then they'd be like, oh, by the way, now we have a Steam Deck too, or something. Like that, Oh, releasing the Steam deck too, you know that with the with the AI two chip that's in the fucking Xbox. Yeah, no, I think that's exclusively Micro. That's just their part believe no way, really the AI I think so oh no, I guess their partnership would have to be with am D probably. To do that, but maybe they're getting with maybe yeah, well you know all the consoles are a MD. Yeah, who did the chip for the Steam DECKD? Is it? It's all am D? Yeah, am D the mobile stuff obviously, yeah, who else is going to do it? Intel do that? No. I'm just saying, like in Vidio, like you know, obviously Nvidia is is there for the desktops and whatever. In the switch to But. It's like that, like that's it, Like they don't They're just like we're good with this, like we're not trying. To There was reports that in Vidiot is working on mobile like a system on a chip or something. An s O c. Oh they're going up against snap Dragon now. Huh I think so? Yeah? Yeah, I mean I'm sure it would be fucking good. Yeah. Oh yeah, my phone will be a little AI fucking Nvidia machine. Just stack all these phones together to make a fifty nineties. We got anything else? I had something really quick about bitcoin countdown has begun. What Bitcoin's countdown? Quantum computing advances. I want to hear this just real quick. It's about quantum computing. Yeah, okay, it's not gaming related, but it's tech so I thought, okay, quantum computing advances. IBM plans to launch the first fault tolerant quantum computer by twenty twenty nine, raising concerns about bitcoin security. IBM, which is a big computer company, says in brackets here, so okay, I said, IBS, I have a bit of that myself. I have a massive problem anyway, says that by twenty twenty and they'll make a contumputer that doesn't make mistakes anymore. That's right, because quantum computing right now, it's you have to keep it very cold and it's in a vacuum or something, so there's a lot of external interference that can cause calculations to just fuck up, to start over. Remember that show Devs, Yeah, oh it's good. It was. It was at the edge of my seat. Yeah, I like that. That show was good. You're like, what the fuck is this until like we were like, oh, like it was so mysterious. Yeah, you know what I mean. It was a comedy. No, no, it's a It was an HBO. It was an HBO show with h with Neil Offerman, and it was about quantum, like a quantum giant quantum computer. So it was about that did things. Yeah, and it was really funny. Oh I'm getting tingles. Maybe it was good. It was good. Very tense, like really tense. Yeah, very tense, very tense. It's very good show, very good show. So Greg Kid Greg Craig Gidney, which is a who is a Google researcher, suggests that Bitcoin's encryption could be vulnerable between the year twenty thirty and twenty three five due to fewer required quantum resources. Urgency from David carve Halo, the Norris Protocol CEO warns that bitcoin might be cracked within five years unless cryptography is upgraded swiftly call proactive measures. A call for proactive measures experts. Experts urge the crypto community to develop quantum resistant solutions. What happens if bitcoins security? Like, what happens? It just doesnappears the money, Yeah, they just lose the big becomes worthless. I guess so, but luckchain is like a bunch of encrypted messages basically, yeah, that store information, but it's like encrypted, encrypted and crypted encrypted. So yeah, if I guess quantum technically quantum computers can can crack encryption theoretically very well. But I guess an IBM would just make this computer and anyone could just buy it, like. Imagine, Oh I'm sure not everyone. I'm sure the military powers of the world will buy it. Yeah yeah, I mean I wonder if they would have to have contracts and like not. Just say, I'm sure China's working on a contract that's going to break. They already have they already have, they already have. Speaking of which, they've already they've built the quantum computer that has now corracked a twenty two bit RSA, which isn't huge, but it's it's it's starting. To happen twenty two bit. Yeah, so right now we use yeah, we used to twenty forty eight bit RSA for like online banking. Let's say online banking uses RSA bit in Crymson twenty forty eight. So they've cracked twenty two It's not close, but they're cracking it. They're starting, Okay, interesting, So and then people experts are estimating that a seventeen to thirty four percent chance that quantum computers could break up could break RSA twenty forty eight by twenty by twenty thirty four, rising to seventy nine percent by twenty forty four. So I still have ways. But yeah, but like I think technology is like I think most exponentially gets faster and faster, right, Like it's just gonna keep getting bigger and faster by by twenty fifty, like quantum creators. Oh my god, Well there's there's I'm pretty sure there's laws and mandates. People are countries are saying, yea, by twenty thirty, we want to be like quantum proof whatever, like they're they're doing that. But yeah, it's the thing, and it's kind of early now, but yeah, it should it's probably gonna be a problem if they don't do something about it. Along with AI. I don't know if you could AI AI. Judgment D. Twenty seventh, nineteen ninety seven. They are, they are still gigantic though, so it's like it's going to take some time. Yeah, and like like IBM is doing it, they're only doing a fault tolerant model now, whereas before it's kind of like it's very delicate, I guess you could say. And there's a lot of up. They have to start over a lot of the time, I guess is because the interference and they just lose their their their cubits or whatever. Yes, so here, it says, oh where did I have it here? So breaking an RSA twenty forty eight bit encryption would require approximately twenty million stable cubits. Wow, Okay, nowhere near that. They're like two hundred or something. Now, yeah they're there are absolutely nowhere near million even a million cubits to No, right, no, twenty million cubits. Yeah, we're ways away. You're fear longering. No fear mongering right. Ade's point though, there is there is that exponential growth like eventually boom, like it just goes off to. The Yeah, I can folds when it starts folding. And just like, look at we went in the last one hundred years. We went from freaking us AI, you know, like turds to AI. We turned turds into AI. Well that's what Well, now you're turning. Yeah, my turd brain is now using Oh I see what you mean. I see what you mean. But yeah, like I mental by twenty fifty, Am I going to be live twenty fifty? Yeah? Live in like twenty years. I'm going to be so old and just sit there and be like whatever I'm gonna I'm gonna hook up my own personal content computer in my brain and just live my life one cube it at a time. It would it would like computer that strong could maybe show you how to multiple realities, like an infinite number of realities and an infinite number of not infinite, but maybe many things free, many of the things that could that could potentially happen, like tut myself up to it myself, like you could live any one of them and maybe transfer between. Them doesn't doesn't find any It's just like its echo the crickets and. Like echoings that white room in the mat. The white room in the matrix, the constant. This is a construct anyways called Yeah, that's you've got. That's that's almost kind of like what Dev's is about. Yeah, but yeah, that's it. That was fun. That was good. That was a good episode. Yeah, it's good. I think we've talked about another things. Yeah, another hangout episode of some news some not like you know date how you say it sensitive news news. Yeah, yeah, it's just new is to have a good conversation about Thanks Christopher popping on. You know, appreciate always always happy to to have you. Well, you know, like I said in the chat, like I don't really go out and look for guests, but if you want to pop on, just message me. I'm sure we can make anything happen. What I don't what I don't like doing is chasing schedules because my schedule is already pretty packed. So like, if you could make it when we record, great, you know, but I'm not going to switch around my days for you. But I'm glad you were able to just pop on and then join us for this one very much. Shirt. What shirt are you wearing? I think? Oh, yeah, I mean I'm oh, it's your table superheroes, Okay. Getting ready for Superman. Yeah, I don't like the suit. I don't like it. I don't like I want to see his body. I want to see. Yeah, I want to see his freaking body. Whenever, whenever a non gay man can like gay out on somebody, it's going to be super bad, you know. Yeah, Like, what the hell? I want to see these padding and the fake muscles, Like I want to aspire to be Superman. Show me, show me what the pinnacle mail is? Super male? Now you got him covered up, let's say anything but everything but the nipples. You know, we don't need to see the nipples, but make it, like, make them look fucking jacked. Geez oh fuck, all right? Anything else? No, that's all. That's all I wanted to say. Okay, thanks again Chris. Remember everybody that's Chris from one each one D that's one hour, one decision. Check them out on Spotify socials. Plug your socials here, go ahead. Yeah, oh okay, cool, I don't know. I don't remember that is it? So, speaking of which, I tried to view or read our Apple reviews and I have no fucking clue how to open the reviews to read them, Like, I have a work iPhone and I'm like, okay, I looked up our our podcast, but great, click on it. I was like, oh, We have like three or four reviews on Apple and I was like, oh, I want to read them, and I can't. I can't figure it out for the life of me. That we have to be logged into the Apple the podcast account maybe to see to read maybe like regular people can't see. Because because you can listen to the podcast. But I don't. Regular people not. Because they be able to se of reviews like I mean, like or whatever. You would see. It's stupid. You can see the scores, That's what the whole point of reviews are. How do you not see them? Anyway? Fuck you Apple. Also, we are now part of the Superpod Network, a network of podcasts you can find brows and check out over the superpodnetwork dot com. Remember, you can always leave us a DM on Blue Sky, or you can send us an NNGL message anonymous message through our linkage. Do that, Yeah, do that.
