Fodigigodo. Hello everybody, Welcome to another episode of the Aldertrols Gaming podcast. If you're new, we are three Canadian brothers who get together and we talk about gaming. We talk about everything gaming, all about gaming and other things too. I am Ticket Easy Johno, the host of the show, and with Nasty Date and Dandolf the Wise. Yes, and today this week, actually tomorrow is the early access for Starfield. You bay have heard of it, heard of it. We're gonna be discussing some of the hype and some of the things people are already complaining about, talking about some of the Sony fanboys are being dummies and talking shit already. Game isn't even out yet. But yeah, we'll talk about that a little bit later. But first, I am fucking tired as hell, boys, I am tired as shit. Well, I feel like a zombie. You guys need to learn how to sleep properly, you know. Just clear your mind, clear of mind. It's very large brain. It's hard to empty it. Very smart, very intelligent, very large. I just don't care about anything, so nothing stays in my mind for me to think about, you know, so I just go to sleep, well, just like a the thunder was kicking me up. There was lots of thunder last night. It was a big fucking storm. A nice Yeah, I have a nice metal roof now, so the tip tappy of the rain on there, it's super soothing. Oh. I hope I quit struck by lightning. I hope I get struck by lightning. I've been I've been sucking back on Grandpa's old CBD oil from my vape. Okay, it's a CBD CBN. It's some sort of lemon skunk thing, but I don't think it's the strain of lemon skunk that I've had before, because I had way more in it. But anyway, but I'm trying to real I'm trying to notice if it's like helped me sleep more. And the past few nights, I've been just like dosing every hour and I'll go to sleep, I'll go to sleep, and then I'll just wake up and it's eight am, and I'm like, what the fuck? So it may be helping. I don't know. I don't know because put your wish. That happened to me, Like, holy crap, I can't fucking sleep. I suck it sleep. Yeah, you should do it. Get pokemon sleep so contrain you to sleep better. Yeah, an incentive, acute, A little incentive, an incentive to sleep better. Maybe I played too many video games. That could be also the reason. You know what I found that helps, guys, Just a little bit of meditation. Fifteen minutes before babe, you sit down on the floor. Yeah, you just close your eyes. Yeah, you sit down on the floor. Do you in front of the forebad? Yeah? Okay, sure you do. I don't know. I don't have problems sleeping. I'm just trying to help you, guys. Okay, I have a story for you. Guys, you've also never had problems sleeping. You've always been out like a fucking log your whole life. That's true, because I've mastered sleep. Smell like one too, like louig Log, that log had a child. So as everyone should know by now, I run a very successful headshot business in my basement. Okay, I've a headshot studio in my basement and I had actually this week has been super busy and I just got a couple of clients. One of them was like a younger, like twenty three year old girl. Okay, and I can see how it might be a bit creepy coming into my basement, right, But I've tried to make it. I would not go in your basement. I've tried to make it, and I know you, So I've tried to make my basement. I'm your brother, for God's sake. I try to make it so it's nice and like bright and welcoming and not very like dingy and gross and scary. So I've tried my best to make it like inviting. So she comes in and I walk her down to the basement and we're alone, right, so I start I start shooting, Like we start shooting. I get in front of the lights. We start shooting. We're talking, YadA, YadA, YadA, and then like something's on my leg. I was like, what the hell is on my leg? And I looked down and Alma's underwear, like her panties are like stuck on my leg? Like what how that is? That is the worst thing that could be? Or like and I heard almost parents on. I don't know why she was looking at me weird underwear and it's because it was like, I don't know, like statically clinging to my short esthetically clinging to my shorts. I was like shit, So like I don't know if she saw it. I have no idea if she saw it, but I like tucked it into my pant like like into my short like because I was wearing shorts. I tucked it into my shorts. I was like, I hope to god she didn't see fucking panties hanging from my fucking shorts. Is how do they even get there? I have no idea how long they were even there for he had them for days. He's like at the grocery store, like walking around, there's panties, everyone's parents. I saw something. I even walked outside to greet her and walk her like into the into the house. So I don't even know if they were stuck to my leg, then they had to have been, because where where the hell would they have gotten stuck to it my shorts. The only place they could have got stuck is when I sat on the on my chair in here where I kind of like put laundry. Yeah, so I may have sat there and then saw that she was on the ring cam, so I was like, oh shit, she's here. So I got up and I walked outside, and it must have been on my fucking pants the entire time, expect a one star Google review. That's literally from a sitcom that is what would happen in Like Friends to Like Joey, that would happen to Joey and Friends or Ross or something. So I was like, excuse me just one second, So I like ran, I ran over to like my my furnace room, and I just took the panties and I threw them in there. Oh, she didn't seem creeped out or anything, so I don't think she saw them. So they may have been in my pants the entire time and they just fell out when I felt it, you know. Yeah, it could have been in the sleeve of my shorts the whole time. Fo sakes, Now I gotta check my shorts. Well, it could be worse. It could have been wearing them on your head. Yeah. Now I gotta look in the mirror when I meet my clients. I have to be presentable. Did I tell you guys that one time? I don't remember if I Matti told you this, but I stayed over at Nate's house one night and changed in the basement and his mom had students, piano students down there because their piano was down in the basement, and I sleep down there when I stayed over. So I changed in my pajamas or whatever, and I take out my boxers. I left them on the piano one night. Oh my god, big shit. Stayed a student. Sunday morning. She had a student come down and just sit down at the piano and Brenda comes down the stairs. No, no, apparently the kids just like sitting there staring at the boxers. My story, and Brenda was like, she she laughed, she laughed. They still. I think Nate has them now, But that was a funny story. Imagine they were all sweating and they just fucking reek like, ass, I'm not I'm not you guys, Okay, all right, you've never sweat a drop in your life. No, I don't sweat. I'm like Prince Andrew. Okay, I don't sweat Prince Andrew. Do you guys know that? Mean? When they accused him of like being a creepy old man at his like island with Jeffrey Epstein and where the fuck it was, he said, this is you with young girls and he's all sweaty at like a dance club, and he's like, no, that's not me. I don't sweat. That was his like excuse. That was his excuse for me. That's not him in the picture. He doesn't sweat. He's probably sweat. And he said that I have a I have a circuit A story about my circuit breaker, this fucking stupid thing that I've been dealing with. You talk about your shitty house, Let's talk about mine. Good. My house is the ultimate ship, the money pit with Tom Hanks. Yea, I am Tom Hanks? Is he in that money as old as fu So? I have this circuit breaker that these computers run off. There's one room, this one single room runs off of one circuit breaker, okay, And all we have in here is two computers and two monitors, and like a register fan. That is it. There is nothing else. And then a big old lead fucking monitor, another monitor, fucking twing, two gaming machines. There's no chance it's a fifteen nap circuit. There's no chance all of this. It is eighteen hundred wots drawn fifteen ants. There's no fucking chance, zero fridge. So it keeps shutting off, it keeps flipping whenever me and Pam are both playing. Now, I don't believe it's ever flipped. When I'm by myself in here. I don't think. Maybe it has, but I can't remember, but it's usually just when when we're both up here, So I don't know if it is just getting weak and it's just turning off, or if it's it is one of these things called I don't know if there are any electricians listening to this, but it would be nice to get some some advice here. It's called an arc fault circuit breaker, which means it can sense somehow. I don't know how it does. I think it uses some kind of radio frequency. If it senses an arc, which is like an arc on a wire, or because you have like a bad ground or something like that, shit, it will flip off. Now I've looked it up online and apparently some apparently computers can like put false positive arc fault to the breaker and they'll just shut off. Depending on your power supply and and all this stuff. Can you have a surge protector to like kind of how am I supposed to fucking fix or solve this? Like? How am I supposed to do that? Yeah? I have a surge protector like she has, like a brand new one. I just bought it. I had this really shitty old one, yeah, like really shitty old one, and I was like, maybe it's my shitty old circuit breaker. Sorry power bar. So I bought a new power bar that's supposed to have what the fuck is it called that's an a noise filter, you know, for like you would use it for guitar amps and stuff like that for music. Supposed to have an electronic noise filter as well, which I'm hoping we'll kind of filter out that frequency that's maybe trick tripping the arc fault. Okay, so far we haven't been playing at the same time yet since I got it, though, so we'll see. But man, it is so damnage test turner machine and throw Ball's gate on and then you play like on your computer. Battery backup might help too, because that, yeah, we'll like it. It will like even out the power going into the socket with the battery and all that shit. Yeah, that's true. I just thought about this. This is cheaper, but not much cheaper, Like it's a nice power bar. It's like a it's a good one. I would like to have a battery backup on, especially with my new graphics card. But I got the first mistake, Okay, trying to get for another fucking story. Here we go story time with impatient Nate. Yeah, I am quite impatient, not gonna lie. So I got fed up recently because I haven't been able to be playing I haven't been able to play my games at like you know, like there it's a decent frame, right, you know what I mean? But like with the games coming out and these hard VERSU and I did, and these all these Unreal Engine five games coming out that are crushing consoles. Now with that one game I can't remember, it's like the Battlemage game Immortals of Avum. Is that it Immortals of a Vum renders as low as seven twenty yeah p to achieve sixty fps on the PS five. It's getting It's running seven twenty p upscaled to four K on the PS five and Xbox Series X. It's running DVD quality on the series. DVD is not HD no on the series, it's not even running. It's running like five yeah, oh yeah, like four eighty p some something garbage like that. Okay, Like this is this is the reality we live in now. Is there's a lot of Unreal Engine five games that are going to be coming out next year and I want to be kind of ready for them, so I decided it sounds like they're horribly optimized exactly. Oh yes, I think that is one of the main reasons why. But you know whatever, I wanted something a little bit beefier than my thirty eighty. So I sold my thirty eighty for a real nice price to a nice person. Okay, I was a nice person. I sold it, and I bought my seventy nine hundred x t X, which is equivalent to the forty eighty or a little bit better than the forty eighty rasterized non ray tracing performance. So I buy this thing on new Egg because they are offering a four month payment plan no interest. I was like, boo. It came with Starfield, which I was gonna buy anyway, four hundred and fifty bucks, so I was like, might as well just minus that from the graphics card price, right, so there's nothing. I got the same thing. There's nothing, and it was sixty dollars off. So it's like, okay, I'll fucking pull the trigger. I buy it, and it doesn't leave Vancouver for like four days. I'm like, oh my fucking god. So the reason why I ordered it on New Egg is because no one had that model in Ottawa unless oh, sorry, the downtown one died. And I don't drive downtown for anything. I don't. I don't. I won't fucking go down there and get it there, okay, And they also don't do they also don't do the four month payment plan with no interest. Okay. That's also the main reason. So I'm waiting a new Egg and I wait a week and it finally gets to Montreal in like seven, like seven, six or seven business days. I'm like, holy shit, that took a fucking long time. And then it's stuck in Montreal for two days. I'm like, I'm like, hello, like Starfield's coming out in like two days. This graphics card better get to me in two fucking days or I won't be able to play Starfield because then we're gone for the weekend. Right. Yeah, that's the worst too, so having to be somewhere, not even being home to right exactly. And I was like I was getting anxious, I was getting impatient. I was like what do I do? What do I do? And I keep checking the tracking and then it's like out for delivery. I was like, oh sweet, this was what yesterday. Yes, well yesterday, Well, you guys won't know what that is. So it's out for delivery. And then they can't deliver it because there's something wrong with the label on the package. So they send it back to the depot and then they notify me saying I have to call the depot put in a ticket so they can print a new stick or slap it on the box and bring it back out for more delivery. What was wrong with the label. I'm like, oh my fucking I'm not gonna get this before Starfield. So I was like, fuck it. So I go to Canada Computers and I buy the same card. So you drove down town, No I have I have a cane the computers right here. Oh right, you have one, right right? But they didn't have Sorry, it was not the same model. It's it's the same like card. It's not the same model like the same company. So it was a little bit more expensive. Yeah, so I buy that. When in their return policies fifteen days, no questions asked, I was like, perfect, this will give me two weeks and I'll get to enjoy Starfield. Great. I fucking install it. It's running good. I'm testing games I'm like love and life. And then the next morning, this morning, it's like your car, your graphics card is out for delivery. I was like, oh shit. And then I got it at like noon, so like yeah, like all that bullshit, all that bullshit I could have not done, but I was ready. I was ready for it not to get to me before Starfield. So whatever, I feel like, I t the same. That's that is the best possible solution. I feel like, so that you're playing when it comes out, and then you can just return it exactly, I guess because you sold your video card. Yes, I had to have one. I had no grant. Well I had a shitty GTX five seventy, which was thirteen years old, and then John and Jonathan gave me the nine seventy, which I was like, this isn't even any better, this is gross. So then I just shut my computer down and I cried in the corner for like some people would beg seven seventy, buddy, I would fucking big. But it's all good. Should have got let me show you something, Let me show you something. Pam sent me this the other day. This is what you should have got. You should have waited for this one, Oh god, what's this? The Avatar seventy nine hundred x t X James Cameron's Avatar with a nice new limited edition rady On seventy nine hundred X. Yes, I would never, never, But why why would I give him more money to make more of these shitty fucking movies? I would to fund it's it's to fund more of his Titanic diving. It's not even to make movies. Wow, because there's a game coming out. There's this game for Avatar. First looks it looks pretty insane, But like, I'm not going to give him more money for the Avatar Creme. I do you want an Avatar fucking who's gonna go? Who's that big of a fan and a PIEC gamer? It doesn't already have like a card like this, Who's gonna Oh my god, the Avatars so I can play Avatar Frontiers. It doesn't just bullshit. It's like you know when you watch movies and it's about this like product or this like person who's super hype, and then these like the people around them big, every single fucking thing themed that person. It's like, oh, I can get these mugs and and this bullshit and this Bullshit's like that's all they care about. It's like you're pissing on my face, right, yeah, yeah, exactly, just pissed on my face. Friend. What was his name, Tevin? I think his name. Those are the Tevins of the world that make that kind of product. Oh my god. All right, game time. What are we playing currently? Ba ba boo joo baba booi. I'll go, I'll start. I don't know, okay, if you're playing games, okay, I'm playing some games. Yeah, I just play. I've been playing a few games because I've been wanting to get some some stuff done. First and foremost. I downloaded g T A five online. Nice, okay, because I have not played this since Baby Jonathan, when we were playing in like twenty eighteen or something. It was twenty nineteen, I don't remember. It was pre COVID, I remember that, so it's been a handful of years. But I didn't know this, but Rockstar made in a Series X optimized version of the game. I had no clue, and I'm here. I am kind of sitting there waiting for that to happen so I can check it out because I've always been curious how that would look and then the guys tell me. I was like, oh shit, okay, we'll download and we'll play online a little bit. And so I did. And the graphics it does look quite quite nice on Series X, like the Alias sings a lot better. All that ray tracing is beautiful, beautiful. On the car racing, I'm sure, yeah, pretty sure. There's fidelity, there's performance with ray tracing and just performance. So I'm assuming retracing to this cars. I know you can look at it right now, but it just cruising around La at night. Man on the olette, Oh, it looks it looks really good, and like we've just been doing missions, ridiculous missions. I add, Jason hired me from session to session to his enterprise or whatever, so I get cash ten thousand crack cash every fucking what is it, fifteen minutes or something. So we'll just go do like shit Like well, it's we fly around and we're like dumping chemicals on people's weed fields and shit. They might have added new jobs, like new new gigs and shit, so we're just doing that stuff or we're trying to blow up tankers. It's been a lot of fun. We go to the casino and we place bets. We do the horse racing bets. Yeah, I'm gonna get my ponies. I love the ponies do their wheel spins, the spin that we at to win stuff Like I wanted a couple of sick cars, like from the wheel spinnything. Oh yeah, I've only got you can win like the car that's there. I got a rank swaps from the wheel. I was like, oh cool, thanks. Oh but I won my first pony bet. I won like I think it was fifty to eighty thousand somewhere in there. I don't remember how much. I was like, Oh, it's tough to get money in that game. It's tough. Yeah, you gotta have enterprises running, you have to have it running, and you gotta really be Yeah. Yeah, it's all right. We just do We just do random jobs and sassinations whatever. But it's been fun. It's been fun, and it looks great, it feels great. The thirty fps is not bad at all, and I'm actually it kind of makes me curious to just like play the single player again because it's been so long. I don't remember any of it really, and and honestly, it kind of looked like shit when the game first came out, and it was kind of disappointing because I knew it could be a lot better. Wasn't it made for Xbox one and PSU three? Wasn't on PS three four four? I think I played on PS four. I think it was on three sixty Xbox or no, that was just Lux one Xbox one. There you go. Grand Theft Auto five was released in September twenty thirteen for the PlayStation three and Xbox three sixty. What that's how fucking old that game is? Man, I didn't play it on I didn't play it on PS three. I played it on PS four for sure, so weird, but anyway, it's uh. I feel like playing it now on the series X optimization would be like a lot better as especially a first time play through looks great. So we've been playing that a lot of fun. Hogwarts Legacy, man, I've been playing some more Hogwarts Legacy because I beat the main kind of game. I haven't done my Owl's yet, so I don't really know what that's about. So I'm collecting field pages. I'm kind of exploring. I'm doing side quests that I just have not done because I really didn't do side quests. I've just been I just did the friends side quests, like Sebastian, Line, Natty, and Poppy. I've just got Poppy left to finish. I finished Sebastian, I finished Natty, and so I don't know where hers is really going yet. Right now we're kind of mingling with centaurs. Yeah, so that's where I'm at for that. But like other things, just like exploring finding these different reason there's a whole other southern region of the map that I haven't even really been to. I think it's still great out so I want to do all these side quests, but I've been just finding some of the side questions are just kind of lame. It's like fucking some retrieval quests or some dumb puzzle thing. It's like, okay, just I want to I want to about a cadaverous some some fucking scumbags. That's what I want to do in side quests. I still can't get enough of the wan fighting, so I'm looking for I'm looking for it. Don't even have to do something. Yeah I will, I get your big mount. Yeah, it's just yeah, I have all three. I just rescued a unicorn. I did a cool side quest that was really cool. Did you do that one in the Chicken the Square and Hogsmeade? So these that could have been done really early, but I just did it the other night and I was like, this is fucking cool and going to the man for this unicorn. But I couldn't. I couldn't catch it, Like it was hard. It kept running away from me because it was like five or six ex's that you have to do, you have to like and my arrest the momentum just wasn't working long enough. So I was like, what instead do the float thing? And it froze and it fell over and it's like and it took forever on the mareeze and get on its feet. I'm like, so freezing it actually helped because of the time it took for it to fall over, unfreeze and then get back up. So that that was kind of the I guess the hot tip that I have. So I ended up doing that no problem, So I guess that's going to be in my bestiary thinging now, I guess which is cool because you can get like resources unicorn hairs or something yea unicorn hairs. So Hogwart's legacy as beautiful as ever and I've just been enjoying and really enjoying that. That's primarily it. I mean, obviously, a wonderful life never stops. And I made a discovery in this game that apparently in chapter two Molly doesn't accept flowers as a gift anymore. My wife, Oh, so you know that means something else, buddy, She's gonna divorce you. Hey, I'm a pretty good cook in that game, So I don't have a problem. That'd be insane if she can divorce you, like if you stopped giving. She just leaves you, just leaves, your kid takes the kid, takes the kids. And then every day, every day you see a little bit of money getting minus from your fucking bank account. It just becomes life simulator. But no, I I cook her her egg soup. She loves egg soup and and herbal sup and shit like that. But apparently it's the thing. I googled this because I have accepting flowers. I show her flowers and she's like, that grows around here, doesn't it? Like what the fuck it's for? You? Take it? So I don't know what's going on there, but I think that people are saying that in chapter three, she starts taking flowers again, So I don't know. I don't know if it's a certain type of flowers she's pregnant, just all flowers, but maybe she's just sprigning. She's a bit moody, so I didn't That was my latest like discovery playing that game. But that's really about it, just those kind of top three. I've been sinking some hours in two cool. Cool. I've been playing Balder's Gate three. Last night, I fucking went on a session. I went on a session last night. I played for like six hours last night. Wow. Just hurt my ass sitting there, and I was like, I gotta finish this game. I gotta get this game done if Starfield's coming out, but I think I'm pretty close to finishing it. Maybe you think so. No, I have no idea, nobody, I don't know, but some pretty sick stuff happened, and I made some decisions that were tough to make. Okay, I'm basically turning people against their gods. Though I'm like, well you do this. I guess it's a path you can do. Like there's always an option, you know. There's all these gods and the people worship like fucking sharky god and shar And in the saloon and the magic god goddess. Yeah, you can basically make people turn against their gods and like convince them that you know, to to you know, never mind with them, and to like do the opposite. So that's what I've been doing. That's kind of my guys thing now, turning people against their fort gods. Yeah, the story good, do we know? No? How long did you've heard? I've heard, I've heard. If you just mainlin mainline story like whatever, it's like thirty five hours or something. Oh, really that's not really considered long. We'll just skate three. Average playthrough has not yet been determined by players in studios, the game will require between seventy fives Okay, I'm at like fifty hours right now in my playthrough. In my think, I'm at like forty. But man, some sick fucking shit happening with the with the Gift Yankee if you I don't know if you did the Gift Yankee Krish because I'm stuck underground. I haven't seen the sun in that game in like twenty hours. What are you in the underground still? Or you're in the shadow place? I just got to the moon Tower Okay, so you're in the show. No, I'm after the moon Tower. I just went into the crypt, the Shar's Crypt there with yeah, yeah, that's what I just did last night, okay, with like the Trials of Shar. Fuck. It was sick. But so I just got just fought a bunch of shadow dudes coming out of like little orbs, orbs, a little like galaxy orbs, and they just keep fucking coming out. Yes, you have to kill the orbs. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I just did that. Okay, but here's what I did. I was already down in that kind of shadow land, but then I went kind of back to the Mountain Pass because I never gone to the Mountain Pass. I took the under dark to get to the shadow land. So you can do two ways. You can go to the Mountain Pass or take That's what I was asking. Should I just go because I couldn't be that Spider guy. He was giving me such a fucking hard time, and I must I must have fought him like thirty times, like it was insane, because the one I couldn't twice because the guy in the back, like the two guys in the back, would just whip these big bombs and they would one shot Aoemi like thirty forty damage. Oh wow, And I was like, what the fuck? How much level? Well now almost six? I think oh that's low. Yeah, I know I was. I think I was higher than that whenever I got there. But yeah, so maybe you can go to the back to the Mountain Pass. I would recommend it because the Gift the Yankee Crazier is a sweet place with a sweet quest and like, yeah, and if you take Lazelle with you, it's good, which is what I did. So I took the under Dark to get to the Shadow Place instead of going the Mountain Pass. But I was kind of just kind of wandering around in the in the Shadow Place, I was like, oh, let's go see what it was. What's in the Mountain Pass. So I was just running around and then I so I went and did that part. So and there's like the monastery there where the Gift the Yankees are and that whole thing was really cool. It was a really cool story. And then anyway, I went back and I did the Shar thing. Like you said, the Shar storyline is fucking sweet. So once you get done that and you're doing like, get further on in Shadow Hearts Shadow Hearts story very cool. I was just like, whoa, this is so dead and but yeah, I did have some trouble. There was like a couple, there's a puzzle, there's some puzzles. You have to work through it. There puzzles. Yeah, it's kind of annoying because I was like wandering around this place for like three hours looking for this fucking orb. Yes, that's what I'm about to look for. So what I usually do with puzzles is I go straight to YouTube. When I know there's gonna be a puzzle, straight to YouTube. How do I beat the puzzle I'm in. I can't stand waste some time looking at fucking puzzles. I knew how to beat it, but I missed a fucking orb that I had to pick up. I literally was three hours ago where I dropped where it dropped, and I didn't see it drop on the floor, and I was like wandering around the whole place. I'm like, where's this fucking orb? I need one more orb? Where is it. I'd done all the trials, I did everything, and then I go back to where I was like three hours later, and it's sitting on the fucking floor and I'm just oh to take that thing to pick it up and put it to pick it up. Yeah. Ah, it was so annoying. So that was three hours of my six hour play through walking around. Yeah, puzzles. I'm very excited to see what happens and see what what goes on, if I can defeat the fucking Absolute or whatever the hell it is. Who even is the Absolute? Yeah, we don't even still don't fucking know. I'm like, yeah, I'm super soul, sure Trusse. But I got further in Carlax finally Carlax. Oh, I still have to go guess, go get Carlac. Is that a is that a heat? You don't I don't know if she was She's great, she's one of the best characters. Where was she? I don't know where you get her? Well, I don't remember, but maybe she was back at the Druid camp and I missed her. Well shesently in the first part. You have to go back, you have to go like all the way back. But she's great. I'll google it and then I've been I definitely didn't spend a lot of time talking to to NPCs. I didn't spend a lot of time maybe that's why I haven't picked up any party members because I was just like going straight for the main objective and I just didn't talk to anyone around, and like you know, like an open every single chess, everyone is like in the main starting area. That's where everyone is. You're just at the walk on. Then I totally miss something, that's for sure. All right. Well, I've been playing that, and I've been playing a mobile game, guys, I've been hooked on it, Baseball Superstars twenty twenty three. Oh it's mobile, Okay, it's a mobile game. Now. I played the twenty twelve version, like ten years ago or twenty thirteen. There's two, there's twenty twelve, twenty thirteen, and then twenty twenty three for some reson skip ten years. But it's like a anime like Baseball RPG, with some like very small like dating sim mechanics kind of in it. It's very cool. It's like there's a lot of it's it was overwhelming, yeah, because you like play your little guy right, and there's like events that happen, and there's characters. There's all these different characters and and you just train him up. You train him up. You can buy him items to increase his stats, and then you can play through the games or you can just simulate the games. But there's twenty twenty three. There's so much stuff, like that's so different than the one before. I was like what, I was so overwhelmed. I'm like, what is all this crap? Like there's all these fucking capsules and gems and that's mobile boxes you have, but like you don't have to buy any of them. You get a ton of them. You get everything you need game, No, you do, like, you get a ton of them. And I so what you do is the game is about recruiting these trainers. That's what you You open boxes and you recruit trainers. You get tickets to get these trainers, and they're like little characters, little avatars, and those trainers you increase their stats and you level them up. And there who trains your baseball players? So you go into development like a like a like a farm team, and you create a character that you want to develop for whatever position you want, any position. So I say I want a third baseman. I'm going to develop a third basement. You look at your trainers. Certain trainers can help with that position more than others. So they'll be like a specific position for that trainers. And then there's different rarities of the trainers. Right, there's the green ones which are the ship ones, the blue which is rare, the purple, and then there's red which is a super secret rare, and then there's a Golden one which is like the ultra rare. So I have a bunch of gold trainers that I got and a bunch of red ones, and you can upgrade them and they upgrade your your guy and they and then you go through a little a little kind of camp mini campaign where you develop the player and there's all these little events where you interact with all these trainers and there's like rapport where they have a meter of a refor meter they're from zero to one hundred where they like you, you know what I mean, So you increase your rapport with them and they give you better stats. And then on the on the chicks. It's got to be Steam too, I bet. I don't know if it is. Seems like a pretty big game that Steam might have it. Actually it sounds like a Steam game. Yeah, I don't think so. I think it's a mobile game. I should play it on Steam. On Steam, but but yeah, so you do that and you create your little guy and you can play his games or you can totally simulate them and they'll it'll just do it all yourself. And then you create a team out of these players that you develop, and then you can play against other people and their teams. You can give PvP, or you can do makes. You can actually play against them like live I think, or you can just play against their team as AI and that their teams stats or whatever, you know what I mean. So that's what I've been doing. I've just been binging in it and there's just like I've gone through. I've had so much crap in my inventory that I was sat there for like an hour and a half just clicking open on like loot boxes like that, so much stuff. Love that to change ting ting ping, tinging, jingling lingling my eyes slot machine. But it's sweet. I love it. And you can that's why you can't see if you have if you have a sweet picture, like you can actually play the games where you pitch, you pitture different. You can learn different types of pitches like the big curve balls or like the knuckleball, and you like aim it and then it's like a it's like a tap twice on the meter, so you tap at the beginning and then you tap at the end and you get fucking strikeouts. You get and you have to like it says okay, strike this guy out and you'll get extra bonus points or coins or whatever, and you're like, okay, so you gotta I come out and then you'll get a little bonus and then you get a rating at the end of the game, and you get a bonus for the rating that you get on as bonus bonus, and then you can buy gear with that which increases your stats. It's very cool, very cool. That's what I've been playing. So it's more fun than like an EA MLB game. Yes, definitely definitely not on Steam. My friend Matt by the way, look see if it is on Stem. It sounds like it's something that it would be on Steam. No, definitely not here after they're not on Steam. My friend Matt said that we should have him on just to go off about EA and how shitty their business model is. Right now, a lot of thoughts. Yeah, oh my god, and I got a sports game thing for news. But Nathane, what have you been playing? Not much? Because I've been sitting on my ass waiting for my graphics card. Oh so, just the usual. I had played some Halo on the Xbox, played some Overwatch two on the Xbox. But I have been playing the new Blizzard game for mobile called Warcraft Rumble, which is like a tower defense No, it's like a tower defense game. It's like a tower defense game where you buy minions and you flood the map with them, or you try to strategically put them in the correct lane to get to the other tower to destroy the tower. And you can you have a little minor units that will go mine gold to give you faster gold to get your units out on the battlefield. It's pretty good, pretty good. I was playing some PvP kicking people's assess interesting. I don't think the huge I don't think. But I don't think they're boughts because they had actual like names, not like cool Joey Fishman or where you know those bot names. You should play Baseball Superstars with me. God, no, you know what. It rinds me of that old baseball game for Nintendo where you just you have to swing when it gets to you. It's perfect and it shows you where it's gonna land, so you're like, no, no, I'm not gonna swing for that one, and then you can do these super swings that you learn from your trainers and like just fucking blasted out of the park and it's just like but other than that, Yeah, that's it. I've been waiting for this graphics card. I'm gonna play Starfield tomorrow eight pm. Yep. And that's what I'm not I'm probably not doing. I have something to do tomorrow. I'm busy. You're busy Friday, and then you're busy Saturday. Maybe I'll play it. Maybe I'll take Friday off, but yep, just play it. That's that's all I've been doing. All right, let's let's move this along. Then let's get should we do gaming news? Speaking of EA and their sports games, listen, what two K Games is doing? Two K Games confirmed that it's upcoming. NBA two K twenty four will come with not one battle pass or season pass, but two two. Is it a fact passes? Is it a free to play game? No? Oh my god? What game is it? NBA two K twenty four NBA Okay, it has two season passes, one of them is ten dollars and then another one is twenty dollars you can get Like, what are they doing? They just like why would you? Why would someone? Is it like that the whole card thing like FIFA do we know? No, that's an EA thing like the cards in the packs. But I don't know what this this might even be. Yeah what Matt was pretty displeased about. It is probably what something though? This is two k So wait a second, So do they have a free tier, a ten dollar tier, and then a twenty dollars tier or is the ten dollars tier replacing the free tier? Well, I'm sure there's a free tier that you barely get. Wow, you get like one thing for every like fifty levels. Yeah, but if you're gonna pay ten bucks, you're not gonna get everything on all the rewards. You might as well pay twenty. Pay twenty bucks plus the ninety bucks for the fucking game. Man. It's just like, what are you doing? Why would you have two best the Deluxe Furs two? It's so tone deaf? Like is this tone deaf? Because they know people will just do it? They know the whales will just keep fucking paying for this ship order? Now, how much does it cost seventy nine bucks, Yeah, seventy nine dollars. Wonder these whale players are like, yeah, but they're must listen to this. That just don't They don't read between these lines and they're just like, oh, well, you got a two battle pass. Okay, more is better and it doesn't matter which one I choose, because I think the sports gamer is different than like US gamers. So like the sports guys will only play their like NBA games, you know, and that's where they dump their money in. There's definitely big sports gamers, like exclusive sports gamers out there, Like sure, like FIFA, you're buying every single FIFA and you're buying every card pack, and you're spending hundreds and hundred of dollars in this FIFA game, but you don't play any other game that's not the that's a small percentage of the player base. I feel like this is a time where but it doesn't cost them hundreds of dollars a month for streaming services, you know, Disney Plus just increase their price like twenty five percent or some shit like that. Spotify is as well. Yeah, PlayStation subscriptions are going up now tears Yeah, and now yeah, Netflix went up to Hulu went up by a big margin, I guess, Hulu. And you want people to buy a pro battle Pass or season pass that cost twice as much as the regular battle pass. This is just insane to me, yea insane to me, Like, why just make it one? This is just pure greed. It's just pure greedy. It's it's taking advantage. Yeah, it's just taking advantage of the They can squeeze that money out of where they can, because that just that content that they put in there. They've I'm sure it doesn't take much to make, right. And then if you even sell let's say one hundred of these pro battle passes, like, well they sell coins, right, you don't. You don't buy the battle pass. You buy the okay that buys the battle pass, and you can't buy the battle pass unless you buy twenty five hundred of these coins. But the battle passes twenty two hundred and the level underneath is two thousand coins, so you gotta buy the twenty five hundred coins to use. The fuck man, it's crazy, it's so dumb. Anyway, Another thing I had here written down before we move on is the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare three will be cross Generation. Still yep, cross Generation. Here's a plus. It's not Unreal Engine five, so it might actually run pretty good. I still don't like entertaining, that's true, dragging us down, man, You can see why you do this, Why they do this, right, Yeah, it's because feed the battle passes to everybody. No, no, but how popular the game is and how many people still have like PS fucking four and Xbox one and those poor losers who play Call Duty and all they play is elusive Call of Duty players too. Yeah, just like exclusive NBA players. But anyway, but it's going to be shit for the game. Like that's fine for the player, but the game is gonna be horrible having to deal with all the different consoles and platforms, interconnecting them all and making it integrate with the war Zone. You I'm not going to touch that game with a I know, no cringing just thinking about this, just thinking about what a nightmare this game is going to be, or war Zone will be anyway more than it is now. Yeah, the like, the the big wigs aren't making it easy on the developers, that's for sure, and their consumers will likely suffer. Franchises have just kind of become jokes these days now, like after all these years, Like it's just a kind of a big joke. I mean I would still play the campaign because they make good campaigns. I still have to play through that, yeah, but they're short. They're like what ten hours? What's not one in nineteen seventies campaign? What's that one? Cold Cold War? Cold War? I have that game. I still haven't played through that fucking campaign. That was a good one I played. I played through the Cold War two though, wasn't it. Well, it's like the eighties or some shit. Yeah, the eighties one. Yeah, the eighties one was good. Yeah, I think that's eight against Black Cold War, Cold War. Cold War Multiplier was good too, Like that was actually a decent game. That's when war Zone kind of tanked and sucked. But they're losing players, so like, well, war Zone is I don't know about just wait anyway. Modern Warfare three is reported to have sixteen classic maps returning from like the original Modern Warfare two. Map voting is coming back. There's gonna be some kind of open world zombie mode, and they're bringing back slide canceling. Okay, slide canceling, which is what which is a a movement technique that they had in the first war Zone that they took away that everyone was pissed about because the movement fucking sucks. Ass war Zone too slide and hop it's where you slide and you can just stop sliding, yeah and get up and start running again. Oh, whereas in the New war Zone you have to slide all the way and like slow down. What fucking stupid. It's just they've lost They've lost so many players. It's not they haven't been able to keep their player base. Lots of streamers leaving to play Apex, and they look like they're having fun. I've been falling on them on YouTube, like scomp Scump was having a blast. He was a Call of Duty pro from the Call of Duty League. He just retired and turned streamer. But he's playing Apex and he's grinding Apex every day and his videos are hilarious, like he's having so much fun, like trying to get pred you know what I mean. It was the same thing when Nick Marks left. Nick Marks left war Zone, stop playing it, Yeah, well I would have started effects happen with him. But like he's playing competitive, actual competitive Apex now with like the pros. He's in the ALGs and he's doing that. Now, those are huge people to lose, like, like, that's not good for your game. When people are leaving like that, it's your game is trash. Fucking fix it like they're telling you what they've told you hundreds of countless. They won't fix it because the respect is grinding. APEX rank too. Yeah, I think these are huge. No, they'd rather they'd rather cater to Nicki Minaj audience and make the Nicki Minaj and they make skins and like is that who was? Yeah, there was Nicki Minaj. They brought all the guys from the boys like just Pump Island boys. No, the boys like the Amazon Prime boys, the boys. Oh I would want to play as these guys. Man, they'd sell skins probably the probably guess you know what. None of that's gonna matter when X to five it finally gets released, that'll be a game that everyone's gonna jump into. It's not a br though, there's gotta be competitive brs, and war Zone doesn't have a competitive br scene. There's ranked I think there's ranked war Zone, but like it's war Zone two. It sucks. It's a ship game. The game ship. I won't be playing it. Who fucking cares. I'm not buying it. I ain't buying it. Next, I ain't buying it. I think that's all I had. We can get into our main topic here. Today's topic. All right, oh, today's topic Starfield hype squatching. What is that mean? We're gonna squatch the hype man? Yes, yeah, he's got to use the word. Launch means whatever you want it to mean. I'm squatching if you know when you know, you know? I used that. I used that at a wedding the other day. It was funny. Everyone's like you, Everyone's like, what is what squatch? Like like I said it, like wait anyway in the speech where you speak, I was like trying to Everyone's like, oh, like she's like, I squatch you. It's like, oh god, there's kids here. Yeah, well, don't they say that. You'll know what it means whenever you use it right or something. If you use it right, you'll know. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what's so good about squatch. Yeah, all right, well let's get squatching here. No, we're not gonna be squatching. We're gonna we're asking why they're squatching on Starfield's hype. Who's squatching all the PlayStation fan boys and all the people who just don't want to see this game succeed. There's hype sabotage. Yes, yeah, yeah, why is it? Why is it the PlayStation fanboys? So what's the deal with that? Why isn't it? Why is it one Platform's the deal with PlayStation fan boys? Yeah, because they're not they're not getting it right, they're not getting the biggest game of the year. Oh right, okay, gotcha it is yeah, not just of the year. Okay. We've been waiting for this game for so fucking long and it's finally releasing two days tomorrow. Tomorrow. Yes, as of this recording, as the time as its recording. Yeah, while people are listening to this, people have already probably put in sixty hours of the game. But like, it's coming out tomorrow, boys, this this podcast will be out the day before release day. Yeah, yes, the fifth. So if you don't have really access, you haven't played it yet as a the time of you're listening to this. But like, so it's obvious that they're just boys to get get a life, get us buy an Xbox? How many how many games to how many games do they get, you know, like PlayStation five exclusives that are big blockbusters, and they're like yeah, yeah and yeah, like God of War, God of War, You've got All the Last of Us Spider Man that's coming out that'll be on PlayStations like Spider Man. Like why it comes up PC later on? Why do they have to ship so hard on Starfield? They just don't want to see Starfield succeeds because it's like an Xbox companied product, right, I don't know, I don't get it because the bombs they can say, Oh well, oh thank god, I knew that would happen. Yeah, totally, totally total anyway, so a few of the points that I've written down here. Okay, so a lot of people online Twitter, Steam, right it? How are they? How do they know this stuff already? Because of the there was a Starfield in the game's calm like interview they talked about it. So they're attacking Starfield's open world. In Starfield, you're not able to land anywhere you want on the planet. Guys. Okay, you can't just land anywhere you want. That makes sense because you wouldn't be able to irl anyway. There's certain parameters that you need to fucking meat to land a space shift on spaceship on a terrain like half perfect. Okay, that's great. You're thinking like a like a human being, but like you land your spaceship in designated like airship zones where you land your spaceship and then you get out and then explore. Okay, and then each planet can you cover over other places like I fly there? No? I think what can you repel down with you the lull like while your while your ship hovers there, I think would waste fuel. I think it's just like you go into the atmosphere and it magnetizes you to your set region that you want to land on. I don't. I don't think you'll be able to fly your spaceship around the planet and like shoot enemies and ship from the from the air. You know, there's gonna be multiple landing zone though, right so per planet, there's gonna be x amount of regions they call it, and each region you'll be able to lay in your spaceship and then walk and explore that region. I'm down now, they said. From what I can gather is each region is going to be like almost the size of the Skyrim map. Okay, that's fucking massive, that's huge. Yes, Now, I don't know how many regions are going to be on a planet. I'm I'm assuming a couple, right, I'm assuming a couple. So that's a lot. That's enough for me. That's enough for me, exactly right. Yeah, So they're like, oh, blah blah blah, let we'll get this. This guy who had an early access to the game. I don't know how he did it. He landed his ship and he walked for forty minutes and hit an invisible wall. Okay, forty minutes, that's it. Yeah, that's exactly what they're complaining about. And they're an invisible wall here. I can't get through this invisible wall. Like, oh my god, I'm pretty sure all these people are just trolling. I only walked for forty minutes. Yeah, it's like you can't explore planets. But there's the line, like, that's the fucking shit that's happening right now. Cartoon Mob meant out they're like the Springfield Mob. Yeah, hey, they like to wash. Yeah, Lenny, but like you, if you swing your webs and Spider Man in one direction, you hit an invisible wall too, and it takes less than forty minutes. It takes like ten minute and you hit the fucking walls and you fall into the water. I think it's just that they probably just butt hurt because of this type of game at Starfield has been touted to be because there's nothing there, then who cares? Like, what are you gonna get there? All of the quests and everything are going to be in I know everything you need is going to be there. It's more focused, like who cares? It's gonna be better because it's focused in these regions, Like why would you go walking around and hills through hills and mountains for no reason? Because they will say they say, like, have you ever been to another planet? There's nothing there? This is the only planet where they're stuff. And even here, you can go walking in the fucking woods if you want, and you probably wouldn't want to do that, so you went to stay around the populated areas, Like I think you use your fucking brains people, just because if they could do that, why would they? You know? Yeah, I think that there's an element of the principle though, of playing an open world game. I'm just playing Devil's Devil's advocate. But like, you know how if you go you're play an open world game and you go stand on a mountain somewhere and you've got this vista view and you're like, I could go right there if I wanted to. Like people like that like that freedom. So that must be what they're kind of cheesed about. I don't really care what long is. It's as long as I'm immersed. Yeah, when you hit that wall, it said two continue any further you have to select the new region that this map is part of. So you just had to you have to buy the battle pass. You just have to like an actual wall. No, Like you just had to go up like back to your spaceship and then land in the region that that map was part of. Like that's all it was. Howls did the same thing. There was that like red kind of like did you ever run into that and flying around your brow? Yeah? Yeah, games do that, Like how are we not used to that by now? Force fields that don't let us enter certain regions because I think I think when the Eldering came out, like you can go fucking anywhere you wanted to. You'll get slaughtered, but you'll go you can go anywhere you want it, which brings me to this one, Like, was everyone expecting So there's a thousand planets, okay, and they said ten percent of these planets will be like full or like have life. Right, So ten percent of the thousand planets will have life and have something to do there, right, And then the rest of the planets, the rest of the planets are just gonna be either barren for materials or just to like land and do nothing on or whatever, Like there's probably gonna be materials on these other planets, build a base on. Was everyone expecting them to fill a thousand planets with life and bustling cities? Like, I don't know, it's very realistic. When I play Norman in Sky, say there's a get that they like randomly generate life on the planet, right, and you go and they I don't want that life. It looks stupid. It's like these monsters that are like glued together and they look really stupid and weird and they walk weird, and they don't even like make glued together. Like what's the point of that anyway? Like you know what I mean, Like I can understand. I think that's just an exploration feat because you can go around and tag these species and then it's all about your stats, like how many species you've explored or uncovered, and then it like all goes into a log book and then you can just kind of keep tabs on that, which I guess it's cool. Yeah, but I don't know. I'm okay with one hundred planets having some sort of life on them. Okay, I'm fine with ten planets like in Destiny two, and even Destiny two wasn't even open world as much as it's gonna be, like this is gonna be crazy. This is gonna be freaking crazy. Look at star Citizen has taken six hundred million dollars and they haven't even done that. Okay. Yeah. I feel like because of the amount of the amount of tiers in sky in Starfield, it's not gonna matter because you're gonna be able to fly around in space and board other board pirate chips and have space battles there. So it's like that's kind of making up for any invisible wall you're going to run into or life that's not going to be on planets. You know, if there was no flying around in space and doing all that cool shit, then I would maybe expect a little bit more on the planets because it's like, you got to put that effort somewhere. But if it's distributed evenly within different frontiers, like I said, you know, then I think it's fine. Because as long as I'm just like kept busy and eat every every one of those frontiers is exciting and cool, then I don't really care what's lacking. M Yeah, I expected fully not being able to well, like not They're not who I expected fully to not see, like full planets obviously. Yeah, Okay, like it's not realistic. Some are going to be barren and some are not. That's literally how our own universe is. There's actually only one planet that we know of that has life on it. People, Did you know that? Did you know that? Sony fanboys like you're lucky? Also you even get ten percent of those planets with fucking cities on him. Yeah, if he played Mass Effect one, he'd be used to that concept too, because Mass Effect one was the same thing, Like there were tons of planets you could visit, and some of them had shit on them and some of them didn't. Some had like a little anomalies. You could go like a crash spaceship and you'd be like there's like a crew that you have to rescue or fight or something, and like that was it and some plane has just had nothing. But people were okay with that ten years ago. People Yeah, yeah, Now it's people who played Mass Effect are gonna get it. They're gonna get it. Okay, this is my last one, the last hype squatching title. The start screen hate. Did you hear? Do you guys hear about this one? I have heard about this one. Everyone was hating on the simplicity of the starfield screen. Can you fucking believe this? Yeah, this is the stupidest shit I've ever heard, because this crying about the start screen is like it's that kind of petty criticism that just tells me people are looking for things to hate, which in turn leads me to completely like disregard anyone's opinion. Yeah, came out of the gate, right. It's like, if you're gonna be crying about the fucking start screen, I'm not going to be listening to what you have to say. Everyone, You know what I mean? Like, what like what who destinies is the same thing? Like they're all the same, They're all the same, Like, look boot up any fucking start screen? What do you care about the start screen? Yes, because I'm gonna spend all my time staring at that, man, Like, that's what I'm gonna put two hundred hours into. Is the start screen? That is really dumb? Really? That is the complaining. Yeah, I want to know who's the fan boys complain. It's gotta be like reviewers or like it's just people reacting on twitters to Twitter ready, like it's the fan boys, it's the game's already expect to get reviewed, Like this game's gonna get review bombed tomorrow. Just expect it from all these like idiots you know what I mean that aren't gonna play the game and they're just gonna score it low because they don't want Starfield to succeed because it was delayed six times. I don't know how they got her somewhere down this in this line, like down the line, somewhere they got hurt. I don't know Howard dated their mothers, maybe went out with their mothers big fat cow body type mothers, fat cow body types. Well, like it must hurt them so much that this game is not coming to PlayStation five. But is it just the Sony fanboys. I think there's some PC guys that are also complaining for these same reasons. For whatever reason, I don't know. I think it's just now that we have all this social media, you're gonna see all this crap you're just gonna have now. People want to get clicks. People want to get clicks, people get views, want to get follows. You know, they'll hashtag something, some hot take that doesn't it's like nothing, nothing, you know, yeah, and they'll hashtag and then you got to try to go viral, you know. Yeah. Got these web writers, these article gamer article writers who get paid by the word, and they're just talking out of their ass because they get paid by the word. And they give you a whole fucking history about Bethesda first before even getting to the Starfield hate, and you're just scrolling. I don't think that's I don't think that's correct, but I think that's how they do that, Like I scroll down the halfway through the fucking page, just what I want. That's what I mean. That's why they do it because they're not getting paid basically. But anyway, that's what I'm talking about, is, yes, you want to pay for a word you can't like take everyone's word obviously for for what it is, because you're getting this disingenuous kind of platform that it appears on. You know, if you got one guy doing his own reviews on a blog, maybe he's talking about his own experience and he thinks, you know, okay, this could be better here or whatever. Sure, but if I'm reading like a web article some critic, you know, fuck you, I'll play the game myself and I will decide. Yeah. I don't read blog articles and stuff about. Like. The only time I'm looking for reviews is is when I'm on the fence about a game. Yeah yeah, sure, Like this game I'm I was gonna get anyway, Like, I'm not gonna read any reviews. Why would I read any reviews. I don't care about the relays. I'm gonna play the game. It's the same thing for Spider Man two. I'm going to play that game. It was the same for Balder Skate three. I didn't need to wait for reviews. I wanted to play it right away. I mean a game that I would read reviews about would be kind of like a like Armored Cores six. I'm gonna go read some reviews about that because I'm interested, but I didn't want to buy it right now because Starfield's gon tomorrow. Exactly who goes on sale? I'm gonna go. I'll read some reviews of that freaking game. I'm not reading reviews the fucking Starfield like who and it's on game pass? Who's reading reviews for this? Yeah? Just school losers? Just play it. It's all the Sony fanboys like reading reviews like is it good? I hope it's not good? And then they're like back to me exactly, like what are you doing? Like who's reading reviews for this game? So you guys? Are you? Guys are gonna get on PC? Right? Well, I've gotten it with my new graphics card. It's waiting. I've got to get an email telling me I can download it. I haven't got that email yet, so yeah, so I'm the console uh guinea pig for the elder trolls. Then yeah, so I ain't playing this game. That's cool unless are they doing thirty fps on PC? I don't think they are. They lock it at thirty. Well, I'll report on my findings then, well, all doing early access? Yepka, yes, Well I don't know when I'll be able to play it, maybe Sunday, pack up real early Friday morning, during the day Friday, during the damien. I'll buy it when we're done here and do the whole pre install thing or whatever, because there's some sort of pre install thing, I thought, yea, so that's what I'll be doing. Was there anything else that we wanted to touch? There was a few more things we want here, right, some headers. So that's all the negative shit. Okay, So now I want to get into our hype. Why are we hyped? You know? Do you want me to read you guys the Starfield story? So they released the story as a timeline. The story as a timeline. What what do you mean? Actually, I can try to read it to you. I know literally nothing about the case exactly. Okay, So I'll try to read this to you. If I'm terrible, then Daniel'll take over. Okay. I've been practicing my reading out loud in the mirror, in the mirror and recording myself. Here's your speech. I gotta deliver speech soon. You gotta work up to that. Here's the official Starfield timeline story so far. The year twenty fifty. Humans first arrive on Mars, like twenty one hundred humans are living in space. The year twenty one fifty six, humans arrive in Alpha Centauri four point three seven light years away from Earth. Wow, that's impressive. In one hundred and fifty six years from now. No, that's but one hundred and six years on year and six years to develop like faster than light travel. I guess yes. And we've literally only invented a fucking like car in that time and our current like we went from buggies to cars and in one hundred years okay, and maybe some airplanes. So now the year twenty one fifty nine, the year twenty one fifty nine, the United Colonies are established. One year later, in twenty one sixty New Atlantis is founded and becomes the official capital city of the United Colonies in twenty one sixty one. In twenty one sixty seven, shay Yanne is settled by Solomon co who found its first settlement, Aquila City Cheyenne Cheyenne in the year twenty one eighty eight. Co, I'm assuming that's how you say. It invites Voli to join Cheyenne in a new alliance, the Free Star Collective. What's VOLI Another person or I don't know what that is. Let's rewind, we don't know what Voli is. That it just says Cheyenne is selled by Solomon. Oh, so Cheyenne might be a city or a settlement that was settled by Solomon Coe, who found its first settlement, Aquila City combites Voli to Cheyenne and a new alliance. So I'm assuming Star could be could be another city, it could be who knows, it could be a person or person. Yeah, it's a person, I think, uh, and to join Chyanna new alliance. The Free Star Collective Star Collective. The Free Star Collective is officially formed in twenty one eighty nine. In the year twenty one ninety four. The United Colony, the United Colonies positions, but then the United Colonies positions the Star Station called the Clinic. Yeah, that's position. That wasn't my fault. Position as a verb, it's also a verb. It's not just a noun. The United Colonies positions the Star syst and the Star Station called the Clinic in orbit around the Publician system. The unf aliated people's of the Naryan system see this as a UC attempt to expand their borders and demand that you see remove the clinic. When the UC refuses, the people of Naryan vote to join the Free Star Collective, who mobilize to protect the system in twenty one Okay, wait a minute, So the United Colonies are different than the Free Star Collective. I believe. So the United Colonies are yeah, because there the Empire, right, the Empire, and then you got the Yeah, and then you got the Free st Star Collective. Okay, So these United Colonial Alliance, these you see Colonies comes in try to take this place, and the guys don't like it, and they joined the the opposite faction. They joined the Free Star so they can protect them. Correct. Okay, I get it. We'll get some mystery here, yep. In twenty one six in response to the Free Star mobilization, the UC moves a fleet into Naryan system, and Free Star responds in kind. The Naryon War begins, okay. In twenty two sixteen. The Naryon War drags on as public sentiment sours. Twenty years later. Finally, the Treaty of Naryon is signed by the UC and Freestar Collective in twenty two sixteen, ending the conflict. The term settled systems is formalized in the treaty. So twenty year long war in Naryon, So you know we're going to run into like vets from that war and be like, oh yeah, traumatized by the by the war. Yes, I don't know, because this keeps going for a long time, it might be still well before our gameplay, Like, that's true. Where was that? That was in twenty two sixteen? Yeah? Yeah, in twenty two twenty one, the Free Star Rangers are founded as an elite protective and investigative forced to dedicated dedicated serving Internet international preservation soci You gotta put you gotta put that clip in there. Oh fuck, it's forced dedicated. Okay, you can take over the next one force dedicated to serving all citizens of the Free Star Collective. Maybe it's because I'm getting a little warm, you're freeing this over here. Okay. So the Free Star Rangers that are founded as an elite protective and investigative Oh okay, okay, but they're part of the Free Star Free Star Collective, so the UC still exists here as well as the Free Star Collective. They're two factions sounds, so it's not like they were it's not like they were dissolved. They U see, they just signed a treaty. I guess an agreement. Okay, so they still exist. So they still exist. The Freestar Rangers are founded twenty two twenty one as an elite protective and investigative force dedicated to serving all citizens of the Free Star Collective. Twenty two seventy five. Constellation is formed by Sebastian Banks. Original members include Chloe Bayo, accomplished physicist, Aja Mamasa, the youngest member and Sebastian's protege, Darius Andres, botanists and specialists in the xeno Flora, Bernadette Laura Wealthy ares and adventurer. Everado Gill, former smuggler and Cadre Toma biologist and physician. I wonder if we're going to see any of these names, like if we'll actually serve them built, Like if we're going to come across all this information at some point. The Lodge is built in New Atlantis to serve the needs and people of the on of Constellation for generations to come, Constellation must be a city. I think it's a constellation is formed, although it says no, I think that's a space station. I think it's just like like a unity of organization organizations Constellation. Yeah, okay, lodgings the needs and people of Constellation. Well says, to serve the needs and people of Constellation. So to me, Constellation sounds like a city. A city. Yeah, but we'll find out, I guess Barrett joins constellations. See what joins constellation. It's more like a sounds like a group. It sounds like a group of entities, like a group of yeah, entities. Maybe governments, small tiny governments, all the occupations. It's installation, part of the Free Star Collective. No, it's a it's a third faction here. We got a third faction. Sound like okay, yeah, faction Barrett. Whoever that is joins Constellation. The Free Star Collective begins farming on the planet of Vesta in the Lunara System. By twenty three oh eight, the United Colonies claims that by establishing a colony in a fourth star system, the Free Star Collective has violated the Treaty up Area. Diplomatic talks breakdown, and the UC lay siege to Vesta, killing anyone who stayed behind or was brought in to defend it. The Colony War officially begins. Oh my god, here we go. Okay, so we got another war between U see and and the Free Start Collective. Yeah. Constellation comes into possession of their first artifact and tucks it away in the Constellation archives. After seven Oh, I'm not doing the years here. I forgot about the years. Okay, So twenty three ten, Constellation comes intossession of their first startifact. Twenty three eleven, After several years of conflict, the Colony War effectively comes to an end with the Battle of chey Yenne as a flotilla of civilian military Free Star Collective ships takes down the major ships of the UC Navy using hit and run tactics. Twenty three fifteen, the UC Vanguard has founded part of a UC response. Sorry, The UC Vanguard is founded as part of a UC response to the Free Star Collective's use of civilian ships during the Colony War. Oh, they were hiding at civilian ships. The Vanguard is the UC's own civilian navy, relying on civilians using their own ships like a militia. Twenty three nineteen, Sarah Morgan become the youngest head of the UC Navigator Corps. Though it's a short lived position as a division. It's shut down in twenty three twenty cast a drift, but still eager to put a train into good use. Morgan joins Constellation. Twenty three twenty one. Walter Straut, co owner of stroud Ekland, one of the settled systems Premier Starship manufacturers, joins Constellation and becomes its primary financial backer. Twenty three twenty two. Former Crimson Fleet private Vladimir sal joins Constellation or Constellation recruiting here a Constellation be recruiting. Twenty three twenty five. Sarah Morgan becomes acting chair of Constellation twenty three twenty five, same year, theologian Matteo. Oh that's a wait, what he's got another name after that? Theologian Matteo theologian. Yeah, I think it's like I was this like religion, like a religious religious This looks like a name of one of the football players in the fucking Key and Peel Skit. Matteo Catry, Michigan State University. Okay, so he's a theologian, theologian, theologian theologian, and he joins He joins Consolation twenty through twenty six. Barrett finds the original artifact and oh, Barrett finds it in the Constellation archives and no, it must be special. Twenty three twenty seven Free Star ranger sam Co and his daughter Cora sam Co is that the guy from Solomon Cooman hundred years ago? Okay, so this is like maybe his son relative son sendant daughter U. Sam Co and his daughter Cora joined Consolation Andrea Andrea joins Consolation okay. Twenty through twenty eight. Twenty through twenty eight, Barrett convinced his Consolation to purchase star station L eight sixty eight and modify it to become a deep space scanner nicknamed the Eye. Twenty three thirty your starfield story begins. So all of this set up, so we have Okay, this ranger guy sam Co, joined Constellation, but his predecessor is found ancestor found in shy In yes sound, yes, three hundred years of Free Star Collective. Right almost yeah. So so this guy who's joined Constellation, his ancestor founded the Freestar Collective. Okay, there you go. I had no idea of any of this. So now we get a little background. Okay, that's pretty cool. Well that's pretty cool, So so what what are you expecting with this game. Is that what we have here? Like, what are we what are we expecting after you reading that? Is it going to be very like geopolitical space politics. I don't think it's going to be that bad like that. It's all about that artifact. Man, what is that artifact? Yeah? Okay, yeah, they are like it's going to be like space alien Is there alien citizens? Is there aliens? No? We don't. I don't believe there's alien citizens. What I think is this this artifact? Yeah, so far it's just human. This artifact is going to connect us to an alien world. This is like fucking the exchance. Oh yes, yes, you know. I feel like that arc that artifact is going to be like it's gonna it's gonna illuminate the foundation of human existence. I feel like that's going to be like what lies at the end of that rainbow, you know, like that's what it might be about, is where we came from potentially, but it could still have to do with alien definitely think that it's Yeah, that would be cool, that would be sweet. Yeah, that would be sweet. Okay. So yeah, from what I'm seeing here, these are all humans, so we have not seen any aliens. So this is just about humans colonizing space, which is cool because that's relatable to us. We're humans. We experience like where we know what the human experience is about, and we kind of dream of seeing that day and where NASA you know, colonizes and all this, even though we're not gonna that's more relatable to us than than alien life forms, you know, so it makes us connect a little bit more. I feel like with this this that's why the expense was so freaking good. Yeah, expense was unbelievable, very good. That's Thomas Jane. Was that Thomas Jane or am I think of another one? Yeah, Thomas Jane is in it. Yes, he plays a miller. Yeah okay, right, oh yeah, yeah yeah he was. Yeah. Check your doors and corners, kids, check your doors and corners. Kid, you walk into a room, you do check your doors and corners. Man, it's so good. I have to watch the last season anyway back to it. What are we expecting based on that? So that's that's that. I think that I think that it's going to be mostly about that. That artifact is going to be a big thing, Like that's going to be the main story. Obviously. I think we saw that from the gameplay trailer and story trailer or whatever. So a lot of it's gonna be focused around you a helping out this like research. Do you probably get to choose what faction you get to join? Right? Yea? Or do you think you joined Constellation just because they have the artifact? I feel like that's probably the main story. Yeah, you just you join Constumba into Constellation and they recruit you. Who knows, be funny if you start as a prisoner. I used to be in the Adventurer like you. I just I just am hoping for a classic, but as the feeling game that I can just dive into and enjoy, including quirks and all. And for sure with the model bugs, yeah, that's exactly what breaking or quest breaking or anything like that. I'm expecting bugs, I'm expecting. I'm expecting a bit of Bethez the jank, you know, that little Bethez the jank. You know, how can we not with the way games are coming out now and then like how Bethez the makes games, you know what I mean? Maybe they have an extra layer of polish because they delayed an extra year. Maybe, but you know, we won't know until we play it. What what's the what's the biggest feature that you guys are like looking forward to ships? Character creation, ship crafting, like smuggling, owning your own business, running your own mining business, like that kind of stuff. I have no idea. What is down both ship and ground for sure. Yeah, shooting people, stealing ships. Yeah, I think I'm gonna go as a pirate. Are there different classes or something? Yeah, I'm sure you'll. You'll be able to choose your background and all that kind of stuff. Maybe a little pirate action, steal some ships, craft, some ship sell. How much you get to sell like a ship? Yeah, you know that you steal, that's gotta be worth a lot of gotta be then that's gonna be sweet. What I want to do is I just want to set up my space business and let it just rake in the coins for me while I'm smuggling and like building big ass ships. I want to build fucking massive like starter ships, ship buildings. Very cool idea. I think that's gonna be one of the biggest ones. And that old like we talked about that for the their summer showcase or whatever they had Starfield showcase. Was this style the aesthetic of the ships too, especially in that one style that they talked about, which was like Nasa punk, which has that kind of like neo retro look to it where things aren't beautiful and shin knee and white. They're kind of just like the inside of the Millennium Falcon. Yeah, you know, just kind of like shitty looking but futuristic, almost like you'll see something in Neon Genesis the same type of like computer console style and like that old almost eighties anime. But it's the future. I love that ship. That's what I'm looking forward to the most in certain like the aesthetic for my ship, and I can't wait to like build one that looks like that. You know, do you know if the who's doing the music for this one? Actually that is a good question. The guy who did all like the Elder Scrolls was Jeremy Sewell, who was fantastic wrong. But I imagine Dragons what they're doing the score, like the whole score, Oh my god. They released like a cover or something of the titles. The title song are you Sitting Me? The sound of Starfield is going to be Anon Zure, okays not in the Who the hell is that? Don't know? Is it? What else has he worked on. I don't know, it sounds like you having like an IMDb is really composer. He's a really composer. It's really American composer of soundtracks for film television. What's he fucking done? Dragon Age Request, Fallout, Prince of Persia, Star Trek, the Siberia series, and works like start. Okay, cool, cool, cool? Yeah? I think you know, obviously I have for what what I'm looking forward to. What I have down is obviously the world events, Like I'm begging the universe to bring me some random classic but that's the world events, like those fucking weird things that just happened. You're like, what the fuck is like the chaos? Know? Yeah, but with a modern twist, like within the modern kind of aspect of Starfield. Cool. That's what I hope to see is the equivalent of like sky Rim, the dragon in the distance breathing fire on something and I'm like, oh, what's that? Yeah? Yeah, And it ended up killing an assassin that had an assassin note for meant for me on it, and it was miles and miles away, which is so funny, and I'm looking at so shy. That's what I'm looking for. Nice I think this game is really gonna like break some ceilings. Like I think the hype is warranted, you know, like this this is their first new IP and over what was it twenty years their first new IP. They started developing it ten years ago or something, but it was in their brain, they keep saying, twenty five years in the making. That's yeah, over twenty years since they wanted Like this just started, Like the brain started churning twenty five years ago for this game. Now. Yeah, just think of the shit you can think of in that amount of time. Okay, So I think this game, whenever we get in there, it's gonna blow some minds. I really think so, because we know what they can produce, obviously, we know what kind of stuff they can bring to the table. And with this being a new IP, it's not just gonna be like reroll Skyrim, you know what I mean, a reroll Fallout. They might kind of do that in a space way, but I'm okay with that too. But like, I really think, I really think it's it's gonna it's gonna refresh a lot of shit for us coming out tomorrow. Yes, I can't, I honestly cannot say with certainty anymore, like what to expect on Triple A launch days, because you know, we've we've been seeing a pattern that they're just not all they can be on day one. But that being said, I'm confident that Bethesda knows how to make a great game. That doesn't mean they're gonna knock every single one of the park, but you know, even games like followed seventy six, which wasn't well received, I've played it and I enjoyed. I totally caught me off guard when I started playing that. Granted that was a few years after it's released, so they had to kind of polish it up or whatever, but the fact remains, it's still enjoyable for me to play, and it's like kind of older now, so who can say, we just have to play and find out. I think that, Like you have a note here written about reviews, and I just wanted to say that I have a feeling I have a hunch that the reviews are going to be mostly positive because I can't say how positive, but they're just maybe a scale to this game that demands a large measure of respect in a lot of areas and categories, regardless of whether the the critic like likes the game or not. Overall, I feel like there's still because it's just so ambitious, they have to give it credit where credit is due, so that might lend us some more positive reviews, but we'll find out. I'm not to worried about the reviews, like I said, don't Freed, just curious. Really, we'll tell you how if it's good, Okay, we'll tell you'll tell you. We'll tell you next episode because we're going to be playing it. And that's it for this week's episode.
