Hello everybody, and welcome to another episode of the Other Trolls Gaming podcast. If you're new in joining us, we are two brothers should get together and talk about gaining. Gaining wait, talk another one. We may also talk tech, TV, movies, and other nerdy geeky stuff too, And today we'll be taking a look over the last a couple of weeks. What was it? Oh? Uh, I'm going to see a movie after this. Oh, going to the movies at the actual theater. At the actual theater. What movie could you possibly be out that you would want to go see in the theater? Disclosure day? Oh god, do you know what it's about? Yeah, somebody's the news anchor, the news ladies, talking news, and she starts talking aliens. A fucking alien a fucking alien. How long is that movie? I don't know. I didn't check, but it looks sweet Steven Spielberg, you know, disclosure, age of disclosure, UFOs, et cetera. Alien, a fucking alien. So I'm possibly it might be bringing back to the merch store because I found a new place that's a lot easier, and it's all in one spot. Nice. I don't have to do Etsy, and I don't have to do the other place, Gelatto. This is all in one spot, printing, shipping everything. We sell, Gelato, Elder trolls, Gelatto. Yeah, Gelato dot com. But maybe depends how much work it is. M M. I don't know what's been going on. I've been playing a lot of games, but I can't really decide on one, you know, really, yeah, I'll just keep popping off and playing two. Been playing two mostly. I stopped playing one and started playing another. Oh what were you playing? I was playing Fortsa Oh right, but I didn't finish it. I just kind of stopped playing. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what I did. That's what happened to me. Yeah. I mean, you can't just can't play a racing game for that long really, And I ran out of races that I actually wanted to do. It was just like a bunch of the weird cross country dirt things. I just want some road racing, you know. So I find out it was probably gonna take me forever to get to the to the final band wristband, because I was I was on the final one too. But to get there, I have to do all this crap races that I don't really want to do. I've never finished a racing game in my life. No, never even Grand Chers Most six. I almost got there and I was like seven or six six seven seven. The latest one. Is the latest one. Yeah, but what do you what are you gonna win a racing game? Like, how do you know? How do you beat a racing game? You have to get every single race first place, every single or you get so. Good that you go online and win a race or win a championship online. That could be end game. But that's end game technically, I guess, because you're not gonna well, I mean maybe if that's your thing, you just want to compete online, But it depends how much of the stuff that you need to race online you have to get by by playing the first game, you know, like the single player, so I don't know. I don't know. I haven't played long enough to find out. What was nice about Grand TOURISMOST seven is I could upload pictures and put them on my car like easy pasy. Like any picture. Yeah, Like I uploaded our logos and I slapped it on a bunch of cars. Isn't that a bit like couldn't couldn't anyone upload anything? Yeah? They have, like they've like betting no clue, people sitting there checking Big uploading. Big Dixon cars. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was Grand Tour as Most seven because I don't know what car game it was. But I was like uploading our logos and I was putting our logos and stuff on cars, and it wasn't Fortsa because if it was Fortza, then I would have been able to do it in the newest Sartza or see my decals from previous sports of games, which I don't didn't have any When I was digging into how to put decals or custom details on cars and realize that people spend like hours and hours and hours and hours of like doing that shit. You know, you know, like you have to do each year at a time in. Shapes with the shapes that they give you, like, it's absolutely fucked. Yeah, with the shapes that they give you. So you have to plan it out. I'm sure they're like planning it out probably takes hours, like hours, because I saw I think I saw a time lapse of one. Yeah, I saw a time lapse of the Master Chief when someone made it. Yeah, so they just go layer by layer. You can probably do it in photoshop, like you do it in photoshop first, with all the shapes that you can use in the game that have in the game, you. Know what I mean, why do so maybe that's like a quicker Yeah. Like you have to plan like there's no way, there's like it doesn't there's no plan. Crazy, it's absolutely crazy. It was like how hard arena. And if you do it in photoshop, you can use it in other games. You can do the same thing. You just layer by layer. You make your image in photoshop like vector or whatever. Maybe these people already. Have that, but you can't anything. It doesn't matter. You just recreate each you know what to put on each layer. Oh, I sent your photoshop file, so you just look up of it and put it into the game. Yeah, to take forever forever. Yeah, I guess it would be easier to do it with the mouse like on the PC first, and they just go shape by shape and there's thousands of shapes making these images. It's created. It's absolutely fucking nuts. Yeah. I thought they were uploading images and like like all the anime, all the anime ones. Do you see all the anime girls and all that kind it's all done like that. It's fucking crazy, I know. But I mean they probably have. Like I said, if you have the photoshop file, you can recreate it in any game. So these guys have probably been doing this for These are the guys who do this in every one of those kind of games. Yeah, and they save it to their like save it so that they know how to recreate it in the next game if they want it. You know what I mean. I think I would. I would guess that's how it's done. I would, I would guess. But yeah, anyway, I want to get into a game time here. What do you what do you think? Oh? Wow? Whiplash translation translation. So I've been playing Path of EXASO I have finally got further than I had before I stopped playing. So they released since we stopped playing last time, they released two new acts to close the game off, so they've got we played from Act one to three the end of three. Yeah, then they released Act four and five. I don't know, maybe I don't know how long ago it was, but since the last time I played. So I finally got into Act four and I'm about to be finished Act four, you know, I said, you know before, I was like, oh, I'm going to speed race try to get to the end game. Do you know how long I've been playing this new character? What level are you? Fifty three, fifty four. Thirty hours? Almost? How? And I've been doing nothing but like running through the map to get to the other side to get the story done. Like I've been doing nothing like I've just been. I haven't been lingering killing things. I've only been going into high dense mobs getting them the quest done, only going to town when I need to. I don't pick up gear like I just leave the gear on the floor unless it's like something I need, like a staff or whatever. I've read online that like you only upgrade your staff pretty much because that's where all your damage comes from, with all your multipliers, is pretty much your staff and then when you get later on that in boots, you want boots because you want your movement speed increases. So those are the only two things that you really need to like upgrade every once in a while. Even then when I go back to town, I only go backtown to like do some gems or whatever, and then I go back out and I'm still at like twenty five hours, Like, how are people getting this done in under ten hours? It's cheats, exploits. I don't know, man, And I'm like I look it up, and it's like you have to go through the story. You have to go through the story and Path of Exile too. It's not like Diablow where you can skip the story and just go grind, Like you have to go through the story. So like they're they have to go through it all to get to the end of the game. To get to the end game of the. You'd have to ask Rod. You'd have to ask Rod the President, our resident Path of Exile expert. You'd have to ask them in the Discord server. Like the only way I would this again is if I don't know, if someone power leveled me within a couple hours to like sixty or whatever, it is like, oh my god, though the story is getting cooler, Like Act four is sick, it is really cool, and then Act five I haven't been there yet, but it's it's all coming together. They're they're finding a way to capture the beast right now that's been stolen and it's growing into some weird monster that they but we have to catch. Pretty cool, nice. I don't. I don't foresee myself going back to play that. I don't know. It's it's taken that long. It's taken you that long. Yeah, I just I don't. Maybe I can pay someone like five bucks to power. Level me, yeah, like Elon Musk did. Yeah, Oh how hard could it be for those people? Like like I wonder if power leveling is possible, Like you just joined someone and they could take you to the end and then just run a couple of mobs and then I just power leveled to seventy like we have we used to do in World of Warcraft. Yeah, I wonder if there's like mechanics that can on. It was not linear though, you know what I mean, Like the curve was like this, It was like this and it flattens out right. Yeah, the higher you get, the less XP you get non linear, as we would say, the progression. Yeah, I'm liking it, but I just want to see the end of it. But man, I don't know how people do this every season, Like it's crazy fucking crazy. I have purchased Stellar goon Blade and I've been playing that. Oh my god, Like, how do how do people play this game? Like I don't understand. It's a gooner game, that's what they do. Like the game is good, but like, how do you how do you concentrate on, like doing anything when there's like ass in your face, like tit's bouncing around asking your face constant, like you're staring at her constantly. You're just like, oh my god, like she's hot. Oh these girls are gorgeous. Yeah, and they's like and then people just hitting me. I'm like, I have to stop staring at her ass for five minutes, like I don't, and it's just like, oh, I feel dirty just playing the game, you know. And then of course I ought it to get even more revealing outfits, you know, and bigger breasts and bigger ass on my characters. Like oh you did that. Of course I did that, but bigger, bigger ass did not show my screenshots. I don't. I don't put her completely naked, or I wouldn't play. I wouldn't be able to play the game. So so the screenshots you sent were were modified. Yeah, they were augmented. She is augmented. Would you say she has augmented big features. Yes, I always say that much so, but I don't know. It's very cyberpunky. She's like Android. You can put in a new spine, you can put in new like head pieces and all imagine, because che that'd be cool. They're modular tits. Yeah, just slap on a couple of bigger ones. Yeah. But the game is good. The fighting is it's like it's it's like simple to the point where you're actually playing the game and you're not like overly min maxing everything, you know what I mean. So okay, so like there's upgrades to your sword. I mean, you don't they know you're not going to be concentrated exactly, so they're gonna make it. They're like simple. They're like, oh, just press this button to upgrade your swords attack power like great, perfect, and like the skill tree is not You're like, uh huh, not complicated at all. It's simple. To browse through and select the attacks and stuff you want. Like everything's very simple and it's and it's fun and it's refreshing in that way where the combat is super fun because it's not overly extravagant. You know, it's pretty good. It's really good. Graphics are really good on PC. Nice photo mode, although the photobo is weird. Every time I go into photobot, it's almost always blurry. She's always like got a weird like as if she's in motion, but she's not. Like I was on a train. I was like, oh, this is cool, like this like train that was going across the scenery and I go to pose it in the train to take a photo, and like she's all blurry, Like why are you fucking blurry? Like this is so stupid, and her hair is always blurry. I don't know. Anyway, it's a pretty good game. I'll continue playing it. I'll continue modding it to the point where, like there's a cyberpunk outfits. Depends how long it is. How long is it? I don't know, I have no idea. Oh yeah, main story fifteen hours, all right, that's pretty good, So I'll finish that and then I'm gonna start Final Fantasy because I've just bought two first remakes Final Fantasy seven remakes on the Steam sale. That's happening now, Okay, he sure he was going to ask you if you were gonna play them. Those were twenty point it was a pack for it was two for forty plus tags, so like forty five bucks. I got the two four pretty good, Pretty good. I wonder if since you have to probably sign in to PS the PlayStation network to play those, right, even on Steam, So I believe you. I didn't. I don't think I did. Didn't they didn't. They recently put that on all their Steam games, and they got a huge backlash because in some countries. You can, oh you do have you do have to do that for Stellar Blade, but it's not published by Sony and it's not developed by Sony the Final Fantasy games, so it wouldn't be a Sony account you would need. But Stellar Blade was published by Sony. I believe. Oh that's right. I was thinking for Sony Games. Yeah, Sony Games. So yes, I had to. I had to just like link my Steam account to my my Sony account. But like I have, all my my accounts are all linked together. It doesn't matter. Now you're what about your Square Enix account? Would you have to log into that? I'm just thinking. I'm just thinking in terms of I didn't log into, like is there cross progression in that game? Like do you have a cloud account? Like if you have it on PS five and on Steam you would get the same. I don't into your scure. There was there was no way to sign in, okay, so there's definitely not cloud saving on that game, only your Steam cloud. So I played like the first mission just to see how it handled them the PC and there's like no graphic settings. It's like choose your resolution and your straight PlayStation yeah it's straight PlayStation port. Yeah, it's like select your resolution and your and your texture quality. That's it. No upscaling, the upscalings forced, the dynamic resolution is forced. So during the game you can see the ugly ass like lines like jittery lines that FASAR does you know, like like only sometimes whenever it's I know exactly. So I've looked it up and there are mods where it unlocks the I and I file, so I can actually like disable upscaling, disabled all that shit, and like actually give me better graphics. That way, you're gonna have to do that. Yeah, oh yeah, yeah for sure. And then there's also four K texture packs done for this game already, so I'm gonna get those two. This game is gonna look like sick. It looks pretty good already, but like once I unlock everything, it's gonna be real nice. I've auto Japanese it, so it's all Japanese voice acting. I tried, and I everyone thinks this game has superb voice acting, but like I tried, and it's terrible. I don't. I don't think that. I tried. I watched multiple videos with these voice acting and I was like, man, how did I can't I can't stand it. I cannot stand it. It's like, oh for acting to the point where it's like that doesn't even like the voices don't match the character, and how like where the character like comes from, you know what I mean? Like the Japanese do it so much better, Just like how Cloud at the beginning is like nonchalant, doesn't care, you know. I get that vibe with the Japanese voice acting better than I did. Yeah with the English character, you know what I mean? Yeah? Yeah, and the over the top Barrett English voice, acting like I want to hang myself, like I can't even I can't. Yeah, how do you think that's good? Man? It's so fucking bad. I don't. I don't care. It's so fucking bad. And I'm like, that's it. I put it on Japanese like, and then Barrett is more like in the Japanese voicing, he's more like like a like an anime over the top, anime jokey kind of attitude, you know, and it's and it fits way better, like he's funny, not cringe like overacting explosive, like oh man, it's so bad. But then the Japanese it's funny because you you obviously can you don't speak Japanese and you don't it. Could be that way to Japanese people, you know what I. Mean, Like you just are so familiar with English, obviously you know what's genuine sounding and what yeah. Yeah, So you don't know that in in Japanese. To hear that in Japanese, maybe maybe you would. I don't know, but I feel like I've never It's like I've never heard of bad Japanese actors. His guys are like these guys are way over actors, but like because I've watched the anime back in the day or whatever, like it fits more like that. So that's how I'm gonna play it because it just to me. That's how I played the Monster Hunter. Yeah, okay, Monts Hunter Stories three. Yeah, yeah, yeah, but I did play this in English. I played The Rebirth in English. Yeah, I tried my first because I tried my first round in English. When I stopped and I I was like, nah, this time, I'm going Japanese. I don't know why I didn't go Japanese. I don't know, Yeah, I just didn't. I just didn't bother changing it. And I don't know, Like Cloud is so pretty, you know, like this is what I don't like. This is what I don't like about these games. It's like all the men are so pretty. Sep Froth is so beautiful. That's why I stopped playing Final Fansy games at ten, because it was just like, yeah, like this weird, weird looking dude. I think that's what it is, Like, I all the boy they all look so like femininely pretty, and I just don't see myself playing a character like that because I'm fat, bald, ugly, got a beard. You know what I mean, I can't. I can't. It's not relatable. Yeah, it's not relatable, Like what about us? That's why you just got to play a sid Yeah, that's it. Like same with Final Fantasy sixteen. The guy had the guy the pretty guy had like a scar on his face. Oh thanks, that's our. Pam is playing Final Nantasy ten right now. Oh yeah, man, he's the prettiest of them all. And I'm like, yeah, it just kind of stopped playing around Final Fantasy ten because I didn't like the It doesn't leave as much to the imagination as the other ones did. You couldn't fucking see their faces. They're just blocky polygons. They're like yeah, exactly, And now you're like, oh, they're super pretty and like not, they're not dirty. They're super clean and pretty. Like when Steph Roth came in and it like does the slow pan up his up his face, I'm like, man, this guy. Is Yeah, you know what they should have gave him like a five o'clock shadow or something, you know, some bags under his eyes. Yeah, but I guess that's what it's like over there, right, So yeah, that's what they that's how they portray masculinity is that's that's what I've been playing. Well, I'll talk about the other one while we go through the main topic. Oh, because it was part of one of the showcases. Yeah, and then me and almost started playing re animal about it for PS five on sale. It's sweet, very cool. We played like a couple hours. It's like this little horror game where you're like playing these kids, and you're playing these two little kids or I guess it's two because we're on co op, but you have to search for your other friends on this weird, dark, creepy island and there's this old dude that's like wearing like this skin suit I guess because he looks fucked and he's like hunting these kids down and like stealing them and shit like that. And it's creepy as hell. Like it's weird, but it's really really really cool. I love the graphics the style on it. It is so cool and I I'm playing it on quality mode and you can tell that there's a bit of right tracing in there because the lighting is so well done because of all the shadows and the lighting that you have to do. So my character has his light is like a little zippo, so instead of like a torture or flashlight, it's like this little zippo. And then Alma's character her light is a lamp, so her light is better than my little shitty zippo. So when we need to when we need to look through certain levels for stuff, I'm like, light up your lamp and it's like bro and the light off the environment is so sick, very cool, very cool, very cool. Looking forward to diving into more of that. All right, Well, I have a game that I've been playing. You may have heard of it, Bond James Double seven First Light. Nice. I have I think fifteen oh wow, already fifteen hours. I think you're almost done based on how long to. Be uh probably yeah, I'm probably pretty close to the end. Yeah. I picked it up on Steam. Couldn't get it on Fanatical. It was out. It was like out of stock on Fanatical. I've mostly been playing remotely on the couch. Okay, but oh last night I played Native and it was really good. Yeah, so I don't think I'll do like it's kind of like it was working fine with HDR and everything over Moonlight, but it wasn't as smooth. It's not as smooth it was a bit choppy, and I have the bit right turned up a lot, see like. Yeah, okay, can see, I'm gonna I'm gonna talk about this. After your finish, so I don't know. Yeah, I mean like yeah, Native runs way smooth or much better. What we're gonna say about. I tried to do my remote play last night too, and I think it's just got shittier, like the app. I don't know what it is. My network hasn't changed, like it's just got shittier. Like Stellar Blade. I cannot. I cannot play remotely. It's just so stuttery. I don't know if it's the if it is game dependent on how it can't be the game, you know what I mean? Like like then I tried to play Final Fantasy seven. It could be the game if it what if it's like a CPU load. Yeah, it could be, because Final Phanty seven was better than Stellar Blade. Like running remotely, I was like, how is this fucking possible? Because maybe if the game is more CPU demanding, it there's not enough left to go to stream, to go to Moonlight or whatever. You know. I don't know, it's it's just putting more load on the CPU and it's it's stuttering or something. Some games I can play no problem, and some games are awful offul like Diablo. No, I can't not even. I can't even because anytime I. Go in to know that game is so CPU heavy it's insanea it stutters my whole system. Like That's what I was noticing while playing Diablo, the lag and all that fucking lag. This's is your CPU smacking? Yeah, I think so, because I had my video overlay on. I was watching the hockey game like over you know how you can pop out, pop out the frame of the video, And I was watching that while playing Diablo, and every time Diablo would fucking lag and stutter, the video would stop as well and lag and stutter. I'm like, okay, so it's like my whole system is fucking bogging down because of this game just horribly optimized like some games are, like some games are perfectly fine, Like well, I guess this would make sense, like Star sand Island when I was playing remotly, it was flawless, probably because of my machine is just like over the top for that, right. Yeah, yeah, so I don't know. Anyway, anyway, back to Double oh seven, the buzz around this game that was that it's like a Hitman meets Uncharted experience. Right. I haven't played Hitman since like probably the first first game, like and I barely remember it, but Uncharted four is one of my favorite games of all time obviously, so oh, I went in expecting myself to enjoy the game. I expecting. I was hopeful, Okay, And I can see where those comparisons came from. Now I'm like fifteen hours in or whatever. There's lots of like Uncharted kind of like the sneaking around, the climbing and the traversal and kind of the level design like that, you know what I mean. It has that. Now. Before last night, I was going to say that it was a bit surprised, like I had written my notes yesterday and wrote some things, but now I'm a bit surprised. I was a bit surprised where there wasn't more traveling to like exotic locations, you. Know what I mean, Like in the byond last night. Yeah, last night, I made it to another location that was really cool. So it kind of does have that, which is good, But I just wasn't there yet. I guess, like I had been to another location, but I wanted another one the Alps No No, and the first one in the game was like outside of the tutorial because the tutorial mission is kind of like you getting your double OW status. It's like training. It's basically teaching you the mechanics of the game and stuff like that, but it uses it as his his double O agent training. That's like kind of the opening of the game, and that is at a different location kind of, but it's not really it's kind of on a base, so it's not doesn't I didn't really count it. But then you go to kind of Africa and there's this big pirate city you go to that you have to kind of sneak around and in piltrade. So that was cool, but that's where I was. I was like, oh, so there was only kind of one location, but then last night I got to a new one. I was like, oh, okay, this is sick. So it did have that like a really fancy city. No, it was a Vietnam and the like the islands and some crazy like resort. Yeah. So I got to that place last night and I was like, Okay, this is pretty sick. Nice. Yeah. Then Bond and Bond they go like the really sexy you know, expensive places. Like yeah, well this is like a among the islands in Vietnam. And it's like you drive up to the place on this boat, like you're driving this speed boat like you're supposed to be a billionaire or whatever. Yeah, and it's just like the water. You can see right to the bottom. It's super clear. Everything cool. And you pull up to this huge fucking hotel on the on the on a beach, you know what I mean. Very cool. The Q gadgets like your little watch and things. It's a core mechanic of the game. You have to quip kind of like a load out. You can choose from four options. Sorry, you can choose from many options, but you can only choose four to have on you for the mission. There's like a hacking tool. There's like a poisoned dart. You can shoot at people a laser beam. You can like blind them and you can watch, yeah, out of your cue watch. It's a it's a video game. This is such a video game. Video game. But yeah, you you have like a fake camera that you can like you click on it and it sends like a shock blast. It's like flashmind a missile pen. There's a pen or you shoot a missile out of it and it explodes like stuff like that. But it's they're used for like distraction and incapacitating your enemies and puzzle solving around the kind of mission obstacles if you will. It's that's sweet, Like that's the it's one of the like the strong points of the game, just using the little the little gadgets and stuff to kind of fuck with people. And it's like it's like a sneak game, right, you know, like making noise over there, like who and and you have to just go take down everyone one at a time kind of thing, which is cool. They let you choose at the very beginning between like what watch you want. It's just a color thing. It has nothing to do with anything, Just go which color do you want? Anyway. Yeah, there's a couple of like driving missions as I would expect. I think, yeah, like a front Bond movie. But the handling in the car, of course, it just doesn't feel good. It's not a big part of the game, but like it didn't feel it didn't feel great to me. There was kind of one full driving mission, but it was it was pretty straightforward. You just like chasing a guy just like on a highway, you were just like chasing it, okay, and you could go over like a couple of jumps. But it wasn't crazy. It wasn't anything cool. But it would have been cool if it was in more of a crowded area and like between little bits of driving could do like cut scenes and stuff that would have been cool. But they didn't do that. I don't know. I think they maybe tried a little bit, but it didn't really hit the mark for me. The driving, but it is not a driving game, and this is coming off of twenty something hours of Fortza, so I'm like, what. Is this crap? Like when you turn, it's just like like turns right away, like super hard, Like what is this handling? But again it's not a driving game. So so yeah, I think probably just coming off of forts it was like, but the story is really good. At first, it seemed a little bit simple. Maybe I was like, yeah, it's okay, but then there was a kind of a twist that happened to me last night and I was like, oh damn, that's crazy. Okay, So it's getting better and better as I keep playing, and it's shaping up to have everything a good Bond Story should have. It runs pretty well. It was okay, but playing on PC definitely way better. It works in Linux, but yeah, I just wanted to sit on the couch for most of the time, so I was like, yeah, I'll just play it remotely, but I mean, I'll probably not do that now. And playing with Melson keyboard is sick, like for the shooting and stuff, like I'm just headshotting everyone makes it a lot easier because the controller kind of sucks. But the graphics are good. They're not jaw dropping or anything like that. They look nice, pretty good. Reflections in this game nice, like every mirror I see my full reflection fully m m back of me. Like in the settings are there is the race tracing turned on like by default? I didn't check really, so you went in with whatever they gave you. Yeah, just whatever. I think it's on high. There might be a couple settings that have ultra, but I don't think they're on. It's kind of like there is some jank like Bethesda's style Jake. Okay, I did notice a couple times or that someone like glitching around and in the middle of it just there. I'm like, what the fuck is this guy? Doing. Is it like when you pick up like a large weapon, like an ar it just kind of sticks to your side. It's kind of weird. It just looks like it's kind of clipped to your your side. It's not like swung over his back. Okay, I hate that shit. Yeah, it's kind of weird. I wouldn't fly in Ghost of Yota, you know what I mean? Yeah, exactly, it wouldn't be Yeah. No, it's not a detail, that's no. But yeah, I mean other than that, my the camera's not great. The camera control or the angle. When you're in combat, like hand to hand combat, you're trying to fight guys, it's rough, like it doesn't automatically kind of go behind you or anything. I got often got guys like coming off a frame, like I had no idea where they were because the framing, you know what I mean. And I'm just like, the camera fucking sucks. I have to fucking swing the camera around before I fight this guy. Like it's the. Controller, Like, does the camera move it all? Can you move the camera? Yes, maybe it might be. It might be easier on controller with the joystick. No, no, it's way easier with the mouse. When you move the mouse, it just literally turns in but in I feel like on the yeah, because the mouse, you're controlling the camera. Mm hmm. So it's way easier on mouse because I can turn the camera and click to punch at the same time, you know what I mean, Whereas on controller X is punch, so I can't use the right thumbstick to move the camera at the same time as doing my blocks and defense and whatever. So way here on mouse and keyboard. But the you know, fair point in the game's defense, you're not really meant to be fighting like five guys. Yeah, you should not be doing that, Like you should be like tactically taking them out so you don't have to fight four or five guys at the time at a time, you know what I mean. So if you're swarmed, it's kind of on you for getting into that situation. But it's definitely easier on mouse and keyboard just because you can move the camera and punch and duck and dodge at the same time. But yeah, that's pretty much it. Really enjoying it overall. After last night's session was very good. I actually wanted to keep playing, but it was like one thirty I'm like, oh, but yeah, sick, pretty sick game. Cool. Nice. I'll probably play it once it comes down in price. I know. I've bought so many view games this month, Like I don't know why, Like why am I doing this? They're all on sale hopefully, and they're all from my gaming budgets, so it's not terrible, but I just blew my entire gaming budget on I bought Stellar Blade. There, it's it's it's intriguing. I feel a butt coming here. Yeah. But this cube and the sword, the cube and the sword, it is not doing it for me. Like the whole fluttery purple swinging the early sword, yeah, I know. And like this cube, like if it's a graveyard of the gods, is this cube? Was this Cuba. God, I don't know this laus Cube. The cube it's a Huey from the Boys his voice. And like, you're gonna be like controlling a cube as the helper seems kind of cheap. Yeah, and she's just gonna be following you. Around, yeah, and like hopping around behind you. And you're like, because the cube was like tripping people up. And I didn't expect this at all. I didn't expect to see a God of War. I guess there was some like inkling that this game was was being made, but I had no idea. I had no idea, And when I saw I was like, Oh, what the fuck is this? Like I had no idea, which was cool, but I really want to know more about like the story and and. How where the hell she how did she get there? She's no god, She's just a giant one exactly. Well, that's she is a giant. Yeah, that's true. I don't know. Yeah, I guess she's not a god. But there's a reason why she's there, That's what I'm saying. Like, it's right, and there's and she somehow got god powers to fight God's So I'd like to see what the hell they cooked up. Well, she's a seer, right, she's she's a giant. There, they're on the the tree there, you know, they're they're not humans, so they're there's powerful powers, like and this seems to be happening at the same time as the first game, I guess because like. At the beginning after she gets lit up. Yeah, because it shows you the intro of God of War twenty eighteen after Curdis, after she dies so and they burn her on the pyre, and that game, the story of that game was about a treas finding out who she was and that she was like a seer, and she seems to have some kind of unseen plan, right, Like her final wish was for them to bring her ashes somewhere right, Yeah, to the Yeah that's the top of the mountain, the mountain or whatever. But she made that request. She wanted them to go on that quest, and by doing so, it put things in motion based on you know, how she wanted to manipulate the future, you know what I mean, because she sent them to do that because she saw Ragnarok coming or something. Right, So so she has some kind of plant. I don't think she saw this coming. No, that's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. So it's gonna be interesting to play through her story, her own story, and see what she saw happening during you know, and how that integrates to the playthrough, just see if she's still helping them. Yeah, At the same time, like it's gonna go show clips from the God of War games and her kind of how she manipulated something that was happening or whatever, and if it goes across Ragnarok as well, would be interesting. Or if it's just gonna be that twenty eighteen. Yeah, because like what are they gonna do keep giving me Credos, you know, like I go on my big spiel about sequels and remasters and that they keep giving me God of Wars with Crados. Like I don't want to get sick of Krados. I just want Credos to be in my heart. You know, what do you mean? They're like the first ones will be probably remade. They actually released DLCs more often, so it was like expansions, like expansion sets. They released like two expansions per year or something like that, so you'd have to buy the expansion, which was like thirty bucks or whatever it was. But that's how that's how they kept you yep, picking But you didn't have to to keep playing, you know what I mean, like if you just keep playing the original one and Gildboar's one was sick. I love Gildboars one, Gildboar's two, same thing. Played that for forever. But that was back when, back when we had time to play MMOs and they actually I don't know, I don't know it was them, but it was the first time I saw it where they did the the the events, the map events, you know when they put the circle on the map and then everyone would go to this circle and then the fight the big monster or do the quest together, like it was like a big event that everyone had to go to to do and check off your event list or whatever. I think they were the first ones to do that, and then World of Warcraft copied it. I remember that came after World Warcraft. They definitely did new stuff, and it definitely felt like a really cool new MMO RPG when you started playing gild Wars two. Now they're saying that they've got something else to revolutionize the MMO RPG genre. Yeah, let's fucking see it. I can't. Yeah, I would love interesting. It's exactly yep. Yeah. The aesthetic I was gonna say, I was gonna say the art style like Fortnite. Yeah, it looks kind of colorful and cartoony, where I remember Guild War's two having a more like realistic feet yeah, you know, not that the graphics are very good, but the character creator remember the character creation creation tool and in guild Wors two, Yeah, like they're based on like reality. So after they showed the gameplay of it, they're like, oh, we released a devio right now, go play. I was like, yeah, man, man, it's so fucking good. It's so good, it's gruesome. It's more accessible than the first one by far. Like the first one was so fucking hard. I stopped within like two hours of that game. This one within Like I played the entire demo. I wasn't hung up on anything. It was clean, it was smooth, the performance was amazing. It's Unreal Engined five. I'm pretty sure. It looks like the Unreal Engined five. Like, yeah, built in assets, that's what it looks like. Okay, I see, yeah, yeah, yes, it's an Unrelingined five. I don't think it's a demo, early access demo. And it runs better than any other Unreal Engine five game that I've played. And I was max graphics, ray tracing, max graphics. I had no upscaling. I was playing a solid sixty fps a special feeling Lloyd Solid sixtys two k ULTRAI. I should add that as a sound bite, my god, spectual feeling Lloyd. It ran beautifully, the controls were beautiful. I urge people. I don't know if the demo is still out right now. Yeah, there we go. So the demo is still out open beta. Well they're calling it at open beta, but it's it's a demo. This is gonna be good. Rebirth was awesome. I think you'll enjoy Rebirth. This one is looking like it should be just as good. Like finally we get to play as Vincent and Sid getting deeper into that that Final Fantasy VII story with you know, Meteor and the weapons and the friggin the ship, the high wind, finally being able to fly around the world like in the original. You remember, That's what I remember, That's what I remember. Most of the original. Yeah, doing the weapons stuff, like the ship exactly. We're getting into that main the end game. You know, we're getting into the end game. Shit. So I loved that flying around the whole map. It was one of my favorite things. Once I got that ship, I could just go anywhere. They're gonna let you. You skydive from the damn thing, I guess to get off of it. You can dive. They gotta take from Crimson Desert exactly. Desert that is sick. Man. If you literally, if you literally took Crimson Desert and just slap Final Fantasy on it, it would be amazing. That'd be cool. It's making me that feeling rise up, you know, that Final Fantasy seven nostalgia. But it's something I know is new and good because I've already played two out of three of them, you know what I mean. So I was going to ask you if you're going to play them, and you obviously are since you purchased them. I was literally said, question, for Nate, are you going to play these or what? And you bought them before I even could ask you. Yeah, I didn't. I wonder do I have to buy that separate thing for the UFI shit? Yeah, I did you play that? Now, I'm curious to see some things that we had in the original the Final Fantasy seven m curious to see the Knights of the Round. Oh yes, summoning materia. They had a little segment in their gameplay introduction that mentioned the summoning material but it showed Iffer it. It only showed Iffert. You know, so they don't have any in the first two summoning materials. Yeah, oh yeah, it just mentioned them, And I'm like, okay, well you show Iffer it. Don't we already have that one? Everyone's got hard on Effert everywhere all the time. I want to see the goddamn that would have been so cool if they if they showed a flash of fucking the Knights of the Round. Oh, that would have been cool chocobos. This is another thing. Remember you could like breed them and ship. Are they bringing that back? I don't know, That's what I'm saying. I'm curious to see if they're gonna be able to breed. Well, because all that was for the racing, the chocobowl racing that was at the saucer, right. No, it was to get the gold chocobo. But that was to win all the races at the Saucer. No, it was to get the knights of the round. You had to because you have to go on a mountain or something. Yeah, you can only get it from the gold chocobo. Well, the gold chocobow could only bring you to this spot where the material was. Yeah, okay, because it was on an island across water right and the thing right and the mountain. So you needed the water one, the deep water chocobo and the mountain chocobo mixed. Yeah. Yes, so you had to breed like a blue one and a black one to get there to try to get a gold on. So, like I'm saying in this, in Rebirth, there is different chocobos that do different traversial things, but it's part of the store. You get them as part of the main store. There's no breeding though, there's no breeding rounding like that. So that's what I'm wondering if they're gonna if they're going to introduce breeding to get a chocobo that does all of the things, because there's a chocobo that, like, that's crazy. How they did that in like the original Yeah, that is fucking crazy. It was sick, but they didn't. It's not as cool in the in the remakes because it's like, oh this, yeah, there's a choking in this region. Well, no, you have to catch it. But it's like, it's a chocobo in this region that goes up mountains, or there's a chocobo in this region that you can go across water, that kind of thing. So I assume they'll bring it back a golden chocobo or some kind of version of the chocobo that does all of those things too, summon it whenever you want, maybe even race it, like there is chokeable racing, which is sweet in the game. I actually love the joke for racing, but I want to it wasn't breeding. It was like buying gear that gives them bonuses and stuff like that. So we'll see what happens. Cool. The last thing I want to see is the fucking snowboarding Golden Saucer game. Well, they've already told them that's coming in. Excellent, Yeah, excellent on ex. I'll probably just blast through the first one as fast as possible. This is one of the things we were talking about during the thing. And it's more, it was more evident on the Xbox Showcase because I think Xbox. I think Xbox is just trying to get you with the nostalgia bait with all their games because they can't come up with anything new. I think they had something new, but it it didn't really pop out at me. What was it? They had the clockwork. Thing, clockwork and some magicious. Magician thing which had looked exactly the same. Like the aesthetic. It's got that weird Xbox aesthetic those games. You know what I mean? Let me just fast forward. They look almost the same. It looks exact same as clockwork. Yeah, like the style, and I feel like that's this weird Xbox art style that that I think of when I. Think, okay, let's let's yeah, so let's let's talk about that. So and I don't like it. Yeah, so I've noticed this for quite a while. I don't know if they're like doing that. They just hand this engine out and they're like, okay, here's some just use this, you know. Like I don't know, man, but a lot of the games kind of look the same, Like what was that one with the mask in the town? I have a I have I feel the same, but I can't put my finger on it really, Like I know these kind of two this magician of this clockwork that kind of look like a similar art style. But there's god, it's so familiar. It has to have been in other games too, but I just can't think of it off the top of my head. But it's it's something I think of when I think of freaking Xbox like an Xbox Studio game, you know what I mean? Yes, I know, I know exactly what, but I don't think we. So anyway, nothing, nothing huge in this showcase really stood out to me because a they're tailoring and kind of going after all the like og Xbox fans with the Halo campaign evolved remake, another Halo remake, remaster, recinc retooling, whatever, like, how many times you have to fucking remake Halo? Man? Well? How many? Well they've had there's like six Halos, right, they remastered three of them and they remaster collection, right, and now they're gonna re release them on PlayStation, so they're probably gonna remaster them all again for the PlayStation. People like, when's it enough? Then remake the first one? Yeah, and then remake it and remake it and yeah, nostalgia and then they and all these Xbox fans can eat it up. And then they're gonna continue to do it because these people eat it up all. The time just to like it. That's fine, just like. The uh this the nostalgia paralysis is what I like to call. They need new IP and new, new customers, new you know what I mean, because like how old Like, there's only a finite amount of people who can who will be attracted because it's Halo, because they're. Halo was released in November fifty two and one. Okay, it is twenty twenty six, it's twenty five years ago. I guess I could I could see it because because it's twenty five years, maybe they're doing like a whole anniversary thing. Maybe they'll remaster all of their original games that came out with with the Xbox two thousand and four was Halo two two thousand and seven. Ten. I don't even remember what I played. I had the first Fable game. I played that on Xbox. That was Sweet Driver too. That's another thing Halo or Fable games. I don't Halo doesn't do it for me. I don't like. I don't like the little baby enemies that run around screaming and like, and they're all like purple and weird colored, like I mean. Little alien guys. They yeah, go flying at the Yeah, the grenades. Yeah, didn't do it for me. I also questioned when we were playing the original Halo through like the I guess playing through the original ha, the colors was so colorful that game. You know that that was weird to me that everything's so color like the purple purple tanks. I think it was because back then. It's just a style at the time. Yeah, the style of the time. It was like super colorful in the graphics for the Xbox back then was. Like yeah, you know what I mean. Yeah, and they're still just going to use it again and they're just going to dated Yes, yes, dated style. It's a dated style and it just doesn't fit now. M Like, I don't know, so I won't be playing Halo campaign evolved, Champagne evolved, you know, No, no, no, no, we already played it, We already tried, already tried, didn't hauled up for us again. Same thing with Gears of War E day, it looks like it belongs in two thousand and six. Uh with his bandana and his little same style. Yeah, yeah, the same thing. The third one is gonna be more of a video game. It would be really cool if it had a nice little story, that would be that could be a cool little game to play. Yeah, this looks a classic like anime. Yeah, it's so cool. But that's when I was looking at him that really caught my eye, Like you give me old school anime art style like it it does grab me instantly to make me want to know more. But again, that's a nostalgia We're talking about all the nostalgia shit, Like that's what my nostalgia, you know, nostalgia bait is. Anyway, Now, the one that really stole it for me. Yeah, it was the new Xbox hardware, right, Oh god, what is. I wanted to touch on that, Like, okay, cool, it's like, I guess it's twenty five years. It's a it's a pretty big milestone. And it was cool that they gave one of them to like every person that was in person there. That's pretty cool. But like yeah, but like who's buying it? Come on, who's buying it? Like they the insane price. It's like they seven and thirty dollars Canadian If it's the same price as the one that's out now for a six year old console, six year old hardware seven hundred, but it's thirty dollars. So the trailer looked great and I was like, man, this looks really really good. And I could say I could I could probably tell you that I would buy it anyway if it came out in the fall, even if Grant a Grand Theft Auto of six was around the corner, Like, I would still buy Fable and I would still play Fable is a different fucking game, Like you're not gonna seriously, Like I can't sit there and play GTA six Like yeah, you know what I mean, Like I'd take a break and play another game, and like Fable would be that fucking game. It would definitely be able to be that game. That thirty minute gameplay was so sweet. Yeah, And then they showed the thirty minute game play with you be able to own like a house and own the tavern. And they only showed that one kind of small aspect of the game, which is and then they showed the map, and I was like, reputation. Here we go, the reputation system. They showed that you can start a business and hire people and manage your business. So it looks it looks like that sim aspect of the game, there's gonna be like a sim layer, you know what I mean, and pretty interesting. Yeah, intricate, and it pretty intricate sim layer. And I love the talking pig like that kind of shit. I love that ship. Yeah, I love it. I think they really nailed like the not the aesthetic, but like the feel of original Fable kind of in what I've seen so far, and like it's probably it's pretty rare to do, especially if you're a completely different studio making a new Fable game. You know, Yeah, it looks really cool. The world, the living world, It's going to be a really good one. I think, like everyone's gonna have their own schedule, yes, everything, all the lives and stuff. And I texted you, I was like, this could be the game that gives Henry's World, like immrci of World, a run for its money, because I haven't seen anything better than the hen Like the way the mechanics of the Henry works the Kingdom come deliverance to I haven't seen that since. And I think from what they showed there, like with all the NPCs walking around and doing their thing, not just standing there in like a static talking to each other kind of thing. They're living their lives. Because these NPCs are living their lives. The game is living, you know what I mean, it's around you. That's gonna be really good. I think it's gonna be sick. I'm gonna try to buy every single house, evict everybody so everyone lives on the streets. You could be a slum lord. Yeah, lord, fable lord. That'd be sick. But yeah, this could be Xbox's next big game, next big thing. It might be in the Game of the Year conversation. I yeah, it must be like like it's gonna be better than Halo. It's going to be better than Gears before. Yeah, it's gonna be better than Gears for sure. It would be better than I think any Xbox game that's been released in the last like long long time. So it's hopefully it has a better story than split fiction. But the voice acting sounds good. It looks amazing. Yeah, I think this looks like, Yeah, this looks. This is gonna be a good co op game. It's gonna be it's gonna be sick. I think it comes out September third, same day as Blood of don Walker. Is it just for Switch to exclusively on Switch to man? Oh damn, that sucks. Sucks to be you. We're gonna have the Final Fantasy resonance h D two D, the first HD two D as they say, Final Fantasy, like the Octopath Traveler style two D three D pixels this. I like, So I don't like if you're just gonna do like a pixelated game. Yeah, like bring some new tech or some new age twist to it. And this is this is really nice. So like the same thing with I think this looks better than Octopath Traveler in the way that they're well. Man, they had some cool like cinematics two three D cinematics show and that looked freaking cool. So hopefully the story is like is good and engaging. It's based off of season game or something, Yeah, of a gotcha game like a mobile game, some Season one storyline that. They heard maybe it was that there paying it. Yeah, they're expanding it and reimagining that story, so we'll see. And I bid on it in the Finasty League, which I'm sure everyone will already scene. They will already have seen by the time this episode comes out. But I put the rest of my money on it because it's my last game, so don't really need the money, can't take it with you. You don't get extra points for leftover money, so I figured someone else would be bidding on it, and no one bid on it, so I just dumped thirty bucks on it. How much? Oh, the last of your money? Yeah? I don't think I was reading all this new stuff about like the whole scene about trying to pirate and correct this is do Apparently it's quite difficult, well to make emulators not people have it cracked already, but like making the emulator and all that stuff is just not probably not gonna happen for the like rumors like ten years or some shit like it's gonna be fucking crazy. Ten years, ten years. So now like then there's a couple of games like that. I've piqued my interest now. On Switch too. Yeah, yeah, maybe you could find a used one deal on it. Use when they when did they pumping the price up again? Did they say the date? The next date? Yeah, they're putting it up again. The next increase will be on September first, twenty twenty six. What they just the next one? How much is it going to fucking cost? It's going from six thirty to six eighty so right now, yeah, six twenty nine for the base with no game, it's going to go to six seventy nine. No no game, Canadians Canadian yet. Fuck, I got it cheapest console still, I. Gotta get it now. I found a used one for six hundred, but it's been up there for a while, so I think the guy's pretty shady. Maybe I'll buy one. I'll slight payment plan, you know, give me a little interest. I'll grab you one. Only a twelve percent interest rates compounded. It's not difficult. I put it on my Flexicity card about six months or twelve months, no problem. Fifty bucks a month. Maybe think about it first, just think about it. Alma would kill me, all right, That's. All I had. Yeah, that's pretty much it. That wraps it up. Those are the games that we are looking forward to. How's that? How's that? How's that? If you know, you know, if you've seen the twenty eight years later, twenty eight years later, how's that, Jimmy, you haven't seen it? Go watch it? Man? Man. They're good, really good. There's only a couple of things I do on my downtime, and that's a game. That's one thing. That's it, all right. So yeah, there was a lot of nostalgia mongering in these showcases, which I'm not for all these companies stuck in nostalgia paralysis because the majority of gamers are now older than thirty five. I think it is. The average age of a gamer now is thirty plus years old, thirty five plus years old. So a lot of our age like, it's us, Okay. It's us, that's who can afford the game exactly. Anybody else is playing Minecraft and Roadblocks and don't give a shit about any of these games. Okay, So all the people that are buying games, they're tailoring to you, okay, and they're just going to capitalize and cash money on your nostalgia children fantasy dreams. Okay, that's what they're doing here. They start putting like Cyndy Crawford and posters of the Crawford and the Ireland instead of innovating, you know, on new ips, like pushing the industry forward. You've got Nintendo with their anti consumerism, remaking old games that they've done a thousand times. Same with Xbox, you know what. And then we're literally going back in time making games playable at seven to twenty p remaking, remastering, rebooting, you know. Like I just feel so icky about games. That's why I try to go out of my way to not play remakes and yeah, sequels, you. Know, except for I mean, they've changed the Final Fantasy One enough that it's. Yeah, I can see that. Yeah, Okay, like reimaginings, if it's different enough, I'm okay with. But it's still not an original ip. Now, if they came out with Legend of Dragoon remake, yeah, I'd pull my pants down. Truey, that was. Just such a long time ago though, you know what I mean, it was younger than you think. That's a long time ago, right under that, that's like remaking Metal Gear Solid, like the first Metal Gear Solid remake. June thirteen, two thousand. So we were playing Legend of Dragoon when people were playing Halo. That's what we were doing. Ah, two thousand. It came out in yeah PS one June two thousand and PS one. Oh that's a bit. I thought i'd been older than that twenty six years ago. But like when did fin the date? Who did what? When did Final Fantasy seven come out? Ninety seven? Yeah? See, like that's a long fucking time ago. But like we've already seen We've already seen Halo remakes and stuff like that, and it's not even as old as Final Fantasy said, yeah. Yeah, that's yeah. So like, okay, here's my new rule. I won't play a remake unless it's older than twenty years. The series is older than twenty years. Twenty years, and you haven't seen anything in twenty years. If they haven't touched it in twenty years, then I'll consider playing a remake. Okay. Yeah, so that that's why, that's all, that's why I play. Going back to Zelda, we've had the Breath of the Wild we've had Tears and Kingdom, two unbelievable new Zelda games that are completely new and have new systems, new everything, rest. Of the Wild and Tears Kingdom. But yeah, it's a it wasn't a remake remaker. Yeah, they're not remakes, but like they have new stuff that they put in them. But now they're just going to make an old game that we've already seen, that we've already done before, we've already played through it multiple times, like unless you're adding stuff to make it completely. Okay, here's a question. When did Oblivion come out? Oblivion was like two thousands, yes, and four two and six. So I played Oblivion Remaster. It was older than twenty years, so you know what. There you go. When there's twenty years on the dot, I'm allowed to play that one. There you go. That's your new rule, new rule. I cannot play anything remastered unless it's older than twenty years. But there was a sky Rim between then and the Skyrim Special Edition, and it's kind of similar. And all those times you bought.
