Hello everybody, and welcome to another episode of the Elder Trolls Gaming podcast. If you are new in joining us, we are three brothers who get together and talk about gaming. We may also talk tech, TV, movies, and other nerdy geeky stuff too. But first, I'm Nasty Nate and I'm taking easy and I'm dand off the whys. And today we'll be discussing performance in video games. Optimization, optimization, and performances, less performance but more does it matter? Yeah? That kind of shit, Yeah, that kind of shit. Yeah, I have been gaming. I have been playing games. Okay, so let's just jump into that. Do you guys play games? Hey? You can only play one game right now? Yeah? Me too, because it's fucking huge. Okay, well I'm playing all the games for everyone. Then I guess they go finally, I don't have to play the games for everybody. Holy shit. Let's just cut into game time. Okay, yeah, I mean yeah, we're always game time, games all the time. Okay, okay, game time is all the time. Do you want to talk about this AMD launch here? The game? It's pretty important, sure, the gaming news. Then we'll talk about the games you've been playing. It's not gaming news. I mean, I guess it kind of is, but it's news big launch of the AMD ninety seventy and ninety seventy xt GPUs. They price them really well. They kind of undercut their even their own cards, you know. So if you're looking for a high mid tier GPU, this is the one you want. Okay, this is what you want. AMD. They did something right here. It looks like a really good card for four K and works well with ray tracing. So if I mean, if you need to upscale or you want to upscale, two FSR four is looking to be really good, as good as DLSS even mm hmmm, and in some tests better according to Digital Foundry. So I mean, that's a huge win for AMD, and I hope that this can help them take back some of the market share because in Vidia is just they're just out to lunch. Like they can't they need to be stopped, okay, IAMD. But like what's crazy is they didn't try to even do a big flagship GPU. You know, well, no, they said they weren't going to compete at high come on, but they just can't. Man, they can't compete with the AI and the high end is just the AI rate tracing and all, and VideA always been out to lunch. You guys have been complaining about in Vidia for fucking a dog's age. Oh yeah, well they're the worst. Well, you know once as they get richer, they become worse. Yes, that's true, that's true. They're the second just company in the fucking world. Second, I think Apple took them over what Yeah, it's like three point two trillion dollars or something, you. Know what, because people will keep buying those shitty iPhones. When people keep buying shitty fucking art X graphics. I can't believe Apple is first. In market cap. I think yeah, something like that. Yeah, pretty crazy, pretty crazy anyway. Anyway, that's that's that. Let's buy am D guys, let's yeah's buy. I was actually looking to see if it was much of an upgrade. It's like it would be if I cared to put on rate racing in all my games, you know, if I always had the rate tracing on in all my games, then it would be like a. Lateral like yeah, no, I don't think it's worth it for you to upgrade, but for me, like on the thirty eighty would be yeah grade yeah, but yeah, we'll see, we'll see. But yeah, games, we're playing games. You guys been playing some Henry or what. I have completed it. I finished it. I'm just done. And how many hours? Ninety two hours? It's good. I'm at like sixty five right now. That's pretty good too that I actually don't know how many hours I have hours. I have to check the PS app because I don't I don't even know. I don't have it on my phone after I got the new phone and I haven't played PlayStation a while, so I got to download and check the phone or why you have to check on the app that's how you check? Or I check. Well, I'm on the go, like I was out the other day, I was like, oh, how many hours do I have it? I was like, I don't have a fucking app and anyway, so I don't know how many hours I'm in. But I feel like, no matter how many hours you have in this fucking game, you barely feel like you're scratching the surface of anything. So I don't know, I get a good ninety two hours will do you good? But I love that. What again, it's probably my favorite game of all time now at this point, I mean I don't think I've put so good ninety two hours in a game in one play through outside of live service games since Oblivion. Yeah, ninety two out, Yeah, that's true. Yeah, I did elder Ring. Yeah, elder Ring. Actually no, eld Ring was less than that for the for the base game, and then I went back for the DLC and that I was over one hundred. And ten hours or something. Really, that seems like a lot. Yeah, that's just because you die and constantly you die eight thousand fucking times. But no, that's different. That's different. That's that's time spent in loading screen. Yes, yeah, and like recent frustrations, even Cyberpunk, Like I don't think I put like fifty hours each play through, non ninety two hours, and it didn't even feel like ninety two hours. So yeah, yeah, I don't know. I wish I could tell you, but I can tell you that every chance I get, I sit down and I play some Kingdom Come, that's what I and that's what I'll be playing for a long time because like there's this is just one of those games and that instant I started playing it and doing one of the first quests or what everyone was like, Okay, so I'm walking around everywhere and I'm you know, it takes me probably two hours to do a little side quest. Yeah, you know so because they're but I mean to be fair, they're all fleshed out, fully written stories, all these side quests, so that's also a huge plus. So I just feel like, if I don't sit down and play the game for twelve hours at a time for the next three months, I'm not really going to be like getting anywhere other than just you know what I mean. So it's gonna be one of those things where I have a few hours to play my games in and because Kingdom Come is huge, it's going to take some time to dent. But I have loved every session that I have sat down and played so far, Like it just feels so good to be back. Man, Henry's back. I love I love it so much, gallants. I've loaded up so many mods on there. I think I've got twenty some twenty mods or so, and that is why my performance has tanked, you idiots. So that's a that's what we can talk about. Other we just could hold off on the mods before beating the game. None can to come and they're coming up with the patch one point two, which adds barber shops March thirteenth, and they're releasing the official modding tools. So now people now are getting away with modding by like altering game files the hard way and like injecting textures and rebuilding the models like the hard way. Whenever these moding tools come out, everything is going to be given to them so they don't have to take it out do this. So there's gonna be so much shit for this game. It's gonna be absolutely wild. People can people will be able to make new maps, people will be able to make like new castles or like put more people in or do anything they want. Man, it's gonna be insane. It's gonna be awesome. Maybe I'll just revisit after that. But the barbershop thing is a fit? Is that what you said? Okay, So I download a few mods just to like increase the texture quality, as you say, the mesh of the texture on the ground, like the ground mesh, like the leaves, and you don't like it good enough for you, the mud, the rocks, stuff like that, and it just makes them more sharper and detailed and like kind of more bump mappy. Oh yeah, yeah, but man, does that hurt? That costs a lot in the performance to whatever ratio. I was like, why can't I run this game anymore at sixty fps? And I'd look look at my modlessen, my god, it's. Probably it's just bogging your ship down. But man, my game looks so good now, even better than before. And I downloaded a mod that reworks every all NPC's skin and textures. What oh yeah, so it's all like it's all like four K creative upscale textures in the skin. So when you go up to somebody, they're like, it's real nice on every NPC. No, just the select few on like every NPC. And then I download the nudemont and for Henry, alright, alright, how much it's always hard? Like how much are we going to talk about this game before we do an episode of it? You know? Are we gonna do an episode? Well, won't talk about it ever again until the episode, like we can, but like you're gott to do the episode two? Right, but again, when the fuck are we gonna do that? Daniel's going to play at least another ten hours, yeah ten mm, yeah, should take a couple of days off there. Dan just just play Henry got sick, Colin sick. But I do want to I do want to do more of the story. And I finally got past like the intro sort of side quest that kind of lead to that, and I just got to, like, you know, trying to get to the main story where you you know, find acts, you get access to or you work on getting access to the party who the wedding if I'm not going to say too much whatever for whatever reason, but yeah, so I just kind of started working on those after getting all the other like you know, right, that's a pretty long quest line. Yeah you're gonna yeah the Miller and all that, right, because yeah, which I just did. That's where I started. But I'm assuming because there's multiple points for each one of that, like find your way into the wedding, because it's like go help this person, You'll help this that's right. You can do it multiple ways. You can do it all the ways, which is really cool, which is really cool. That's just part of the game too, you can do everything. I chose the Blacksmith way, okay, cool. I went south to the Miller because it was just closest to where I was. I did that too. I didn't do the Blacksmith Yeah, no, cool. Finally did my first ever Twitch drops. Wow was that It was actually a lot easier than I thought. I just was kind of overwhelmed. I was like, well, what accounts? So I have to link and what what account? And but like I figured it out whatever, and I just kind of threw it on my computer and went and did whatever I think I was teaching. I was teaching as it was all streaming, so I would just like, while I'm talking to my students, I would just like open the stream and I would just make sure it's there, and I'm like anyway, and I would open it and it's just like Kingdom cum on the screen watching some the Twitch streaming here a flat major whatever you're doing over there. Okay. But yeah, once we do our episode, I think it's going to be like, you know, everyone's gonna want to play it. I think obviously after listening to us. Yeah, I think now they're not playing it like everyone's fucking playing Monster Hunter Wilds. Yeah. Well, it's because multiplay they had to choose one. They had to choose to spend one hundred dollars on either Monster hundred Wilds or Kingdom kind delivery. Yeah. Come now, you see it's tough because there's a lot of Capcom fanboys out there. Right, they'll do anything for Capital that's true. They'll sell their souls for CapCo. That's true. Okay, So when Capcom releases one of their biggest ips, like, they're not going to play anything else. And there's a lot of Capcom fan boys. There's like eight million Capcom fanboys. We need more Warhorse fan boys. Well, there's gonna be some after this. I'll tell you that we've been a fan boy from day one, or Horse, I've been a fanboy from day one. I called it just like cyberpunk. Yep, just like this is cyberpunk, except for this is not a bad launch like cyber punk. No, not at all. Yeah, this was This is what new games should look and feel like. Yeah, exactly, this is it. This is a this is the bar okay launch, this is the bar speaking of twitch drops I do have, Well was the bar right, Yeah. That's true, and this met it like it's the same same bar. Like in terms of the launch smoothness, Yes, okay, you know what I mean. Just ran, I think this ran better than what bathers Gate did. Yeah, this runs better than yeah, true, like fidelity to a performance ratio. I think this, this runs better, this performs better. It does, Dan, know, what were you going to say? I had to make sure I put your shirt. No. No. But speaking of twitch drops, the reason I have I just have a little bones pick that comes up all the fucking time. And I always talk about immersion like that's my thing. I always talk about the freedom to do whatever you want in these games that are especially open world, sandbox whatever. Yeah, the reason I did the twitch drops is because I found out that the only hood in Kingdom Come that you can wear over your head is this cut purse hood you know, Oh you're on console. Sorry. With the official modding tools, By'll be coming out with more hoods, you know, all right, alright, but anyway, I just get sick. I got sick of it in the first games. I was like, I want to wear these hoods, Like why can't I wear this? Like, especially if I'm going to be a thieving kind of character, you know, Maraud or all that kind of shit, Like I I want to be able to conceal it because, like, especially if you can conceal your identity and it contributes to inconspicuousness, you know what I mean. That would be amazing. Because it has a function that way, Oh, I can put my hood up, so they're not gonna be able to really notice me even more so, or maybe they won't be able to deduce that it was me if I went into this house and then something was missing after I came out or whatever. Yeah, so I was like, fuck, well now I want that hood, and I'm not just gonna want the hood, I'm gonna want everything else. So that's why I did the whole twitch drop. But this is officially the old and it's official the only official item of clothing hood you can wear. They did it in Hogwarts Legacy you could wear your hood. I was like, wow, finally. So I don't know what it is about developers and not thinking about that, but that must just be because it's like, well, it's not integral, but if you make it integral, if you contribute to the conspicuous inconspicuousness, you make it practical, then there's a purpose to it. That's true. Imagine that they had it in game where you could put up the hood and your your visibility would actually go down. That's what I mean that would be cool because they can't see your face or they have less of a chance of because the game even says in like a loading screen or menure tutorial, it's like, just because someone doesn't see you do something doesn't mean you're gonna get away with it scott free. They can still deduce. They use the word deduce that it was you. Yeah, if you had your hood up, maybe the chance of that happening is far less, you know. So I just think it's dumb to overlook that in a game where you have thiev game though, like I've stolen from everybody. Okay, let me tell you. I unlocked some guy in the stalks right in front of a no no. I choked out the guard threw him into the pond, threw him into the pond, and then I went and unlocked the guy at the stalks. But while I was unlocking the guy in the stocks, a guard was like walking behind me, and I was like fuck, So I unlocked him, and the guy's like and he starts running away, and then I run away with him, and then six guards are chasing us out of the town. So now I got that icon. Oh yeah, yeah, I got there. That doesn't ever go away. Yeah it does. Oh yeah eventually. Yeah yeah, okay, I mean you can that's might be a reputation the gate, the gate like you're wanted. Yeah, like you just go pay it off, like go to a guard surrender and just pay it and it'll go away. Right. I don't know if you could do that in the first one, so they might have. They might have developed that he couldn't you could pay the church. Yeah, you have to pay the church really yea, that God is everything, guys, Okay, God to get into the fucking town to pay the church, like to pay the tide. So in half the time you couldn't even make it there because you just get fucking chased down by guards. So like that's why I had a problem with that in the first game. This is this is so much better than the first game. It's crazy. Yeah, it's way better than the first all right, well we'll talk about it on our episode. Yeah, because I got games that I played here, guys, Grand Theft Auto five PC Enhanced next Gen finally, Like, should you play Grand Theft at five and twenty twenty five if you haven't played it? Oh my god? Like really, I started playing everything ranked up four K all the rate tracing cranked. Holy shit, it looks fucking good. And the HDR is really good too, really like it's stunning for a twelve year old game or whatever. What did we say, Like the HDR looks fabulous on it too, like everything is popping, Like maybe try it. There was a time I was I was at night and there was like a light shining in a parking light on like kind of the yellow paint in the parking lot, and the yellow paint was just nice and bright like in HD. I was like, man, that is fucking nice. Nice. You could pull out your little cell phone and the screen on the cell phone is super bright. I'm like, oh that is downloaded. Like the HDR Mastering is really good. But that's what rockstarted there, pristine and everything. Yeah. Man, they just took their time and they fucking did it well. And I like that they did the HDR master really nice because that the enhanced one was out for consoles for a while, right, So yeah, but like the HD Mastering comes with when they release it. That's what they have to do that because people are playing on high end like HDR TVs, but on PC, like they always overlook it. But this is good. I think I'm gonna play this time exclusively in first person when I can't, because there might be sometimes where you can't like play in first person, but like, whenever I can, I'm going to because I was doing it for a couple of hours the other night and it is awesome and it's like something I completely overlooked, Like the first time when I originally played, I never went in first person. But now, what are the last three games that I played Indiana Jones, Kingdom Come Deliverance the first one, Kingdom Come Deliverance the second one, three first person games Cyberpunk before that, you know what I mean? The expansion. I'm like, why didn't I play this in first person? And I did? And it is fucking awesome. It's like completely different driving around in first person. Oh I can't do that. Oh I love that I can't drive. But anyway, it's it was really cool. I'm gonna play more of it for sure. But if you haven't played GTA five and you have a PC, like, now is the time? When did I come out with the GPU the enhancement release? When did that come out just this week? Last week? PC? But they already did it for consoles prior, like a few years prior, okay, because I think I played online GJ five online with the enhancements, and I remember it looking quite nice, but I don't remember if I told it on my Yeah, I remember if it was on the o let or not, or if it was on my other TV. Anyway, it looks really good frag punk. Have you tried it? Did you pop into it? I downloaded it, I didn't open it. Okay, it's pretty cool. The art style, yeah, it was like arcane. Did you like some thumbs something when you open it up the intro video. Watch the intro video. It's really cool. It reminded me a lot of arcane, like the art style, just like there's a little kind of a comic bookie over a CGI. Give me it, Give me it. But that's funny. It runs very fast too. I was getting like two hundred and forty frames er second it's said or something, and so that's really good for a competitive shooter. Force rate tracing on you. No, there's no rad tracing or anything like because the finals did. No, it's more of a cartoony style though, like look like ray tracing. There's not gonna be rad tracing. I don't think you know what I mean. The guns feel good. The movement's a bit slow, but not too bad. I think that's deliberate slow, like which other slow game. It's not slow, but it's like some characters can be faster, just like the moving, the running and the like. You can slide and move and run whatever. But it's not like super fast paced. It's not super fast paced. Okay, like COD. No, it's not like COD. No. It's more like it's kind of like a Valorant CS style. You know, it's a tactical shooter, right, because the main the main game mode is like the bomb planting whatever. It's not like an Overwatch No, no, it's there are different modes, but the main mode is the is like counterstrike bomb bomb apps and search and destroyed COD kind of thing. So, like I said, you aren't flying all over the place like fragging, So the other game modes can maybe kind of do that a little bit more. But I think that's why the movement is maybe some but in between kind of fast paced and like a little bit slower. You can play slow, you can hold angles in a more traditional style or whatever, but in the other game modes you can give yourself additional movements with the modifier cards that you get the little modifiers, so it kind of makes it a little bit faster. But like I said, modified cards, the whole shtick is that you collect these cards a that you can fly like a modifier to each match before the match starts. No in between rounds too. Oh, you might get one before the match, and then in between rounds you get an in game an in match like currency. So between rounds you can spend thaturrency on modifier cards. But you and your team in the game, in the main game mode anyway, you and your teammates combine. It's almost like a voting It's like almost like a voting system. You can combine your your currency for cards to apply to your team. So if you have enough currency, you could buy a whole card yourself, but someone else could kind of like apply some currency to it to help you buy it. I mean, it's almost like a voting system. You vote with your you vote with your wallet. But the uh, yeah, the modifiers are stuff like bullets, slow down enemies, double jump, increase damage at long range, or defense buffs shit like that. There's like a bunch of different stuff. There's like over I think there was like sixty different cards you can get right now. But yeah, in the other game modes, you can use the cards to replace your own hero's abilities, so you don't have to use your hero's abilities. You can just replace it with a card that you have if you want, if you really like it. So it does give some options. So it's pretty cool. It was. I'll play it again. If you want to hop in, I'll play with you for sure. I'm gonna try tonight. Cool, Okay, I'm gonna hope to be on tonight. All right, all right, this next one, This next one, guys trepaying two. Okay, this is from team I thought this was. This sounded like some kind of a Bejeweled thought it was Bejeweled or something. No, it's an FBS. It's from the team who did Hell Let Loose? Oh okay, nice. Yes, I got this because Nave called me a coward for some reason and to play it, and he kept saying how fucking good this game was while be smirching Apex Legends. So I bought it for twenty dollars. It was fifty percent off for the deluxe version. I'm going to look up pictures here all u penga, No, I'll share here, get this, I'll share my screen here. I have a little video right right that's about a minute long or so. Lower the volume on this so anyway, Oh my god, Yeah, this looks very slow. No, it's not slow. So I played for about four and a half hours. It's a PvE like campaign shooter, kind of like Half Life or a cod campaign or something like that. So I'm not sure really why he's comparing it to APEX. Bodies are just exploding. Yeah, there's like bodies just explode. So I played for like I said, four and a half hours. Story so far, it's not anything that like I haven't seen before. You escape from some kind of like black site human experiment kind of thing that causes like mutations, YadA YadA, and you have to like stop them. Like that's a pretty typical, I feel storyline. Okay, but the visuals are pretty good, Like the effects are cool. Like you said, seeing there guys fucking exploding all over the place. I like your blood landing on your gun. That's blood everywhere. The guys who have like tanks are carrying tanks and or backpacks of some kind. They explode. There's like this cool shock wave that like that like goes out from the from the from the enemy. It's really cool. But you can see like internal, the shit goes flying everywhere like internal fucking organs, and like whole brains. Well they'll just fall out of their head and land on the floor like a whole brain, like I fought that guy inside there. But yeah, like the old shoot a guy and his entire brain will just go poop under the floor. Oh my god. But like ragged off physics, they got everything arms and legs flying everywhere. The movement is really cool. I will give it that. You can string like slide jumps together and move really fast until you run out of stamina. But killing guys refreshes your stamina, so you can just bomb around constantly and slide jump like I was doing there. So this's got no multiplayer, no, so you can slow down time like I showed there. It's just like the main premise. It's called like it's like a focus, you know, which is actually exactly how it paid my last cyberpunk play through with the shotguns, like you dash around and when you ads while dashing, it slows time. Remember that is that a lot of a mutation in this game, though, like one of them, Yeah you mute or whatever. Yeah, I think so because you were at the beginning. You're like in the black site and they're experimenting on your right naturally. But it's like Counterstrike where you can't aim down sites, which are not a huge fan of unless the guns feel really good and you get those satisfying like hit markers, you know, like Overwatch, Like I like that in those eighty non eights kind of games. But this is like Counterstrike where I notice you have to kind of like stop to get the crosshair to tighten up to make it more accurate and less movement yeah, which is weird for I'll mention why later. But you just get blasted by like the ten guys shooting at you if you stand still, so you have to constantly be moving around and like using your focus other than the shotgun. I don't really like the guns, like the they feel pretty bad actually, like their accuracy is horrible. The recoil is really bad, which kind of uses it kind of forces you to use the focus and like single fire them because head shots kill way faster, like if you hit a guy in the head, like he's dead. But if you if you like, not focus and you're unloading on the guy with a spray gun, like it barely does any damage, which doesn't feel good. So it kind of forces you to use your focus and be cautious with the amount that you use it, so you always have it to be able to use those spray guns with just a kind of like a single fire on the head. I guess there's a dual wheeled option, Nave was saying, and I saw the option for it in the game, but I haven't unlocked it, so I don't know where the hell it is. I've already played like six missions. I haven't seen this, so I've seen it with another gun. It would probably be better, like a lot more shotguns, dual shotguns. Yeah, apparently you can dual wheel shotgun, like I said, Like you said, Daniel, shot gun. It's a bit weird because they have such cool movement like and the sliding and jumping and you're flying around, but they want you to stand still while shooting to make the guns accurate, which doesn't really make a lot of sense to me. No, I'm sure they want you to be in that dead eye. Yeah, they want you to use the focus because it increases the accuracy of your guns. You basically have to use it, but it's always it's not cool down, right, it's a cool down. You don't always have it. So I found that using the shotgun is the most satisfying, Like just I just want to use shotgun because you just point it in the general vicinity of somebody and they just fucking turn to red Mist. It's just that looked more like red goop. Yeah, red Goop, red Mist. That was kick asses. Yea. The villain that was wasn't that cloven yet? Yeah, missed. So Yeah, there was one weird thing in the very first mission they kind of introduced like a stealth mechanic that says, oh, your crossair will kind of change color when you're in shadows and all this. I'm like, okay, so there's gonna be like a stealth kind of option where you can be sneaky. Okay, But I've never seen it again, Like I never ever have used the stealth Like you just go in and they know where you are. You're just blasting the shit out of him, Like they. Just sneak up behind the guy and then fucking shoot him in the head of the shotgun. Yeah, you can maybe do it to one guy. You can. You can stealth up to the first guy you kill, and that's it. So I don't know, like why they even bothered introducing that. It was really weird. And I had this weird fucking bug where my gun wouldn't shoot when I clicked. Okay, like my dreams, like the dreams that I have, I'd say forty percent of the time I tried to fucking click and fire my gun, it would not fire. And I was getting so pissed off. I looked it up and a bunch of people are having the same issue, and it's because I was running borderless window and not full screen. Yeah, and I guess the mouse was leaving the window. Yeah yeah, I only have one monitor. How is that possible? I have never seen that before on a game, probably at the top where there's that bar whatever. What kind of fucking amateur hour shit is that? Like, I've I've never seen that in my life in an FBS game, and I play all of my games in borderless window. Like that is bush League. Okay, I'm sure they'll see this and they'll patch it. That's the game is like year and a half old like that's bush league anyway. The sound noticeably bad, very bad, bad mixing. The explosions are insanely loud, and they're actually like clipping like the recording of the explosions. It sounds like my speakers are broken like there, and then the voices of the dialogue is super quiet, like it's awful. This sound design is fucking horrible. That sounds like Arma two when I used to play. Yeah, yeah, it was fun by by no means is it anything revolutionary. Dogs are barking six am. I think that's an intel calm guy for the I gotta return ah, well to hand it to him, don't you have to handle it. Pam's doing it. Actually, you look out the window, look the on his neck. He's like. In the background, You're like, Pam, Pam is doing it. He's just Pam's like, oh, just holding arth. But now, fun fact, I actually returned something just recently and I didn't need to hand it to them. I left the boat and was like, yeah, I've done. Sorry, it couldn't be home, but that's because it was the second time and I was like, I'm done with this shit anyway. Yeah, I don't know, I don't know anyway, game is fun by no means anything revolutionary, high flying, frag fest, cool movement. I'll probably finish it because I only have a couple of missions left. Anyway, It's only like a six hour game or something like that. But nice, solid seven point five out of ten. We can put this to bed. We can put it bed. Sorry nave anyway. Next, split fiction, split fiction. Oh, this is the co op one. Yeah, with the two female lead characters. A lot of people don't like that. What really? Yeah, they don't like playing as two females in the leads where, according to they threatened the maker of the video game. I feel like this is a outlier because they're in the cell neck bearded. Fucking losers. That's who that is. Fucking losers. Man, Like it got ninety plus on there's one of the stuff I want to try. It was like seventy bucks. Well, we played for a few hours, like me and Pam played together. I have more fun playing this than it takes two. Really, Definitely, I'd like to cool cooler mechanics, cooler environments. Lots of different environments. The first one is kind of you know, like it's kind of the same deal in all the levels. You're a small person. Everything is super big, right, trunken places. They do that again in this No, no, no, no, this is much different. It's like it takes you to a lot of different places, a lot of different traversial mess methods with the platforming, a lot of different there's driving, they're shooting like flying. Cool. It's very cool, very fucking cool. A couple of really cool boss fights too. We're enjoying it, really enjoying it, really good. Maybe I'll slap down my wallet just make Alma buy it. Yeah, that's what I was about to say. I'll slap down her wallet. Anyway. That's it for me. Those are the games playing. Wow, wow, I've got one out of the game busy b oh, yeah, what are you playing? Why are you playing out the games? You? You have something? I only played well when I'm like feeding alt or something TCGP. Still, man, I love this game, really, yep, I love it. They have released a new card pack, and I don't know what it is. I think all these whales are buying zillions of card packs because I must have opened I don't know how many, but I cannot get the title card in that the R C S E X card cannot get it. Everyone has this card but me, apparently, and I just get washed every time I come up against I just have to fucking quit. But other than that, very cool. I really like it. The only thing I didn't like about that I don't remember. Give me a fucking dark mode. Okay, this game is white. The app too bright for you? Yes, even I put down my brightness and I'm like blinded. I'm like because I'm like, I'm trying to put Ala to sleep, like sunglasses while you're playing a cool trainer, Nate. I'm I'm rocking Alien to sleep. And like I turned the game on. It's like it's like Millhouse when he turns on bone Storm. It's like, I'm scared that it's gonna wake her up. Man, it's so bright. Just give us a fucking dark mode. Just give us dark mode. What are you playing it on again? Like? What to me on my tablet? My big tablet? Okay, which is sick. It's so I played it once or twice. I don't remember the screen being or the UI. It's all white. It's all white. Everything is white. Remember that I thought it was like blue and yellow. No white, it's dentist office white. Yeah, and yeah they need a dark mode. The Battle Pass way too expensive. It's crazy. Fifteen bucks a month. They were for this thing a month? Yeah, what are you thinking? Like, okay, usually battle passes last like a couple months. No, it's like a monthly subscription. Do you get coins card packs? Yeah? For fifteen bucks a month, Like that's insane. Well you know what the uh the physical game is much more expensive, man, But yeah, I like it. I like it. I like beating people that do have really expensive like shiny cards one of my garbage cards. I love beating people and they don't and they don't say thank you afterwards because I don't get a little gift. Fuckers, yead. I tell you my Evolving Skies etb's have gone up like two three hundred dollars in value. Wow. Just to remember those boxes, I told them story on the pod that that day we recorded, I think when Pam went to Costco and bought all those boxes. Wow. And it was like Evolving Skies, which was the set that was super popular because everyone wanted the moon Brion or the one Umbrion. Yeah yeah, but uh it was like fifty bucks and we got the ETB and a tin. Okay, the ETB is like eight or ten packs or something in this little box, and we got a tin fifty something fifty five bucks. So really we got a tin and the ETV fifty five. But even the ETB a loan for fifty five, which is what I kind of counted as I have eight of them left because we opened some of them. They weren't all evolving skies, but we opened like some of them. Eight of them left. Fifty five bucks each is what I paid. They're worth three hundred and fifty dollars each now on ey date, like actually selling, like actively selling three hundred and fifty three hundred and sixty dollars. You don't know what you're getting. No the fuck people People just rich a fix. People just are collecting them sealed. It's just sealed product. Like no one's opening those, Like it'd be really dumb to open. Why can't use those? What can't use those? Can't play with them? Oh? I mean you can, but I want to play with it. Don't open it. I want it. I mean you could just build buy a deck for thirty dollars or something, but like, yeah, it's crazy. The hobby is insane now insane, Like the new set that just came out. You can't even get really, you can't even fucking get it, and if you can, you're paying like four times the retail value. What's with those worlding it and scalp? What's with this world? Lisa? Yeah, everybody betray me. Everybody's betrayed me, Lisa. I'm fed up with this world. Oh man, everything's so expensive now, scalpers all that that's the value, and people, if they have it, they're gonna they're gonna spend it. Yeah, three hundred and fifty alpers are bad. Dude's scalping is fucking Scalping's harsh right now? Yeah, that's brutal. That's uh, that's the only other game I've been playing. It's that mobile game. All right? I was going to save this for gaming news, but we can just talk about it here, Okay, Yeah, I think I think this is pretty much what initiated the the the discussion or what we wanted to discuss about is Monster Hunter Wilds that's correct, and how it's blowing up right now? Right, the Monster Hunter. What's the sales at monster Yes. It's cap comes fastest selling game ever in well whatever it was, or no, the fastest selling game to eight million copies or something. They all eat fucking million copies. Like what in three days or something like that. Yeah, it was like in the first week or something. I'm trying to fine, Well, this game probably has or should say, this franchise probably has Capcom's like biggest following, right, Like this is this has got to be a little about Resident Evil. Yeah, but like as of March fourth, Yeah, as of March fourth, months after Wild's sold eight million units, the. Resident Evil is like people don't like kind of the scary horror kind of genre. Yeah, this is this is more accessible to every Well, yeah, a lot of kids will play this game. You know, you got plus you got the added demographic of kids. Right potentially, at least when at least when I first played Bonser Hunter, like I was fucking stoked for the first game because I was like, oh, I've never seen anything like this before, and I was, what twelve or something. You know, so you got kids playing this too. It's not like a Call of Duty where it's too violent and your parents don't let them play it. It's like you got a ship for one come out? Oh my god, two thousand and four game Cube? Shit, really no, I played on PlayStation two. I think I had it on PS two Monster Hunter. Yeah. PS two two thousand and five. Okay, there you go, So sorry. I was thirteen. But yeah, big demographic here. You're not just dealing with adults potentially, So there's that too. So to preface how I feel about this, okay, what I don't understand is how people continue to buy this game on PC knowing full well it runs and looks like shit. Okay, I understand the game is really good, the gameplay is fantastic, so addicting. It's great, okay, but can you really enjoy it when the performance is so bad? So this is what I think really brought up this discussion point. M hm, So I really want to play this game me too. I really want to play this game, but I'm not going to. Say everything I heard. It feels like it's going to be like like it's like raiding. You go fight raid bosses, right yeah, monsters, yeah yeah, and you upgrade your gear. This is literally what we did in World of Warcraft for fucking fifteen years, you know what I mean, That's what we did. So like and it does sound like the co op is is really cool and like you can do it with your friends and all that cool. I still have to look at it, yeah, yeah exactly, and I still have to feel and I'm paying you one hundred dollars, yes, yes, exactly exactly. So the last week there's been so much chatter around the new Monster Whiles game leaves come overall mixed. Reviews on Steam. Now it's not positive reviews on Steam, they're mixed the consensus, the consensus being the gameplay is top notch, right, addictive fun but like if you and people are like, all you have to do is, you know, get past the performance issues and you've got a great game. Right. Everyone keeps saying that I'm sorry, but a great game includes performance, yes exactly, like how can these be? And then I guess all the ratings still giving it super high ratings even for the PC version, Like you cannot just overlook this, even when you're doing a review and you're rating giving it a score, like you have to give it an abysmal score for that category. It's got to hit some thing at least you've got it. It's got to take it down a notch. Yeah, it's gonna take it down, like it's. Take a nine out of ten, you know, taking a nine point five out of ten when it runs like dog Ship on your PC, on any PC, on a fucking six thousand dollar okay, man drives me crazy. Like take the performance issues away and you got a great game. That's that's that's like saying take the engine out of the car. It's a great car or some ship like that, or like take this the piece. If you don't, if you overlook the factor, car is always breaking down and car installing. Hey it is a car. Great, it is a car. Looking car. Great car. It's got four wheels, wheels you can put those something trunk. It's got a trunk. It's got windows, you know, got seats. It's a game. Something consent in it. Now. I've played Dragon's Dog but two the same so same engine. Okay, Open world, YadA, YadA, YadA, Dragon's Dogma two had these issues as well. When it first came out on PC, it ran like shit and it took forever for Capcom to do anything about it because they don't care about us over on the PC. Okay, they don't care about now. I'm not saying like I'm sure it runs okay on console, because like that's where it was primarily or optimized for. Yeah, exactly, and it's running. It's literally running at seven to twenty P on console upscaled to tenn DP and then if you're playing on a four K screen then it's like upscaled from like seven to twenty P to fucking four K or whatever they do it. It is disgusting the videos, Like I played the beta and it ran like piss and I was like, they're gonna fix this for launch because I'm not gonna play this game. It looks like a smudgye vaseline mess, Like no matter what I do on my settings, I cannot get this game to run at a consistent frame right, Okay. And that's not even with the high text or high evolution texture path that they released after this was beta tho. Okay, just saying beta, but there's a difference between it running at a consistent like a like I wouldn't care if it was locked solid at a thirty FPS. Okay, let's say like that if you had a PC, like a lower end PC, A lot of lower end pieces. Yeah, a lot of lower end PCs are really not enjoying this right now. Lower lot. That's the majority of PCSSA. Like, look at the Steam GPU list that the most used GPU. It was just taken over from the thirty sixty is now the forty sixty, which is a shit guard Like it's a shit fucking GPU, and it's kind a majority of people are playing on Like how much is a forty sixty? Like eight hundred bucks? Still garbage? It's eight hundred dollars garbage, Like it's it hurts my sad, It hurts my soul, It hurts my fucking soul. So like people who are playing on those just like, man, that's rough. That's fucking rough, like us, Okay, we probably could maybe yeah, well brute force it. Yeah, it would just brute force kind of past. You'd still get like stutters and stuff. But yeah, I mean I don't want to do that, like I want it to run well. The last three games that I've played have run fucking flawlessly. Yes, you know what I mean? Yes, and they were good, really good. Let's bring it back to Kingdom Come Deliverance too. Okay, it's not a triple A studio. It's not a. Full budget like Crazy Company like Capcom is, and they made a technical marvel in Kingdom Come Deliverance too. How it plays the performance, the visuals, the visuals per performance like ratio is. It's right on the money, like it looks that good. Yes, it's gonna be hard to run, but if you have that hardware to run. It, it plays really well. Even in my computer, my old one, which is four years old. Yeah, and even like do you do you bring it down a high or medium setting? It's sun full same at two four K. I can be the console voice here out of this kind of trio of hours where you guys are both on PC. It also is just so well optimized, optimized on at least PlayStation five. Can't speak for Xbox. But is there thirty fps or sixty fps mode? What are you on? Yeah, there's there's both. I'm on thirty fps and like no issues, Like when you walking around you feel how solid it is, and like you know, there's so there's limited issues that come up where you're like, oh, what the fuck? Like I just have not run into any of that, So to me, it seems and feels really well optimized. All right, So do you want to go through these talking points here? Well I wanted to. Now I did update the first one. So what is good performance? Is that your first point? Okay, that's our That's. What is good performance and optimization? And how do you define it when a game is properly optimized? Like, hey, trolls, like, how do you know a game? How can you say this game is properly optimized? Like what are you guys talking about? I can up in three words? You know what I wrote? What you just know? Like man, And I'm not even saying that to be like cheap or copping out the feeling like speaking of Kingdom. Come. Like when I was walking around and I loaded that game up for the first time, because I told you guys, when I first got it, I don't think my PlayStation was connected to the internet. That's why, because I haven't turned it on in ages, so it didn't automatically download the day one patch. So I'm loading it up and I'm playing, and it's just I was just like, what the fuck? I was like, this isn't how it's supposed to be, is it. I was like, I don't know if I could play this. Like I was looking at all the like all the mesh was showing and flashing in the rivers, and like it just looked horrible. It felt horrible, and I was just like, this fucking sucks. Oh my god. And I was like, maybe they'll patch it over some time and I don't know. But then I realized I didn't even get the first day. So but then as soon as I loaded in that new patch and was walking around, it was like completely, it was more than night and day. It was like three sixty you're just like I was walking around, I was like, Okay, this feels like it's they did everything they possibly could to get this running the way it needs to be running on this console. I don't feel that it's being pushed. I don't feel that it could have they could have pushed it more. I feel like it's just right there on that perfect performance where there's no lag, there's no the input l likes great, blah blah blah, there's no pop in, you know, and you just get that sense of that you're feeling you're playing a very very solid game with a rock solid foundation that you just and and I just knew. I was like, this is well optimized. I'm not having any problems and so far I have had probably no glitches. Like that thing that you showed to Fana. You sent a video in our group chat of one of the female characters. What was she doing? She was stirring a pot, just like floating down the fucking road. None of that shit one of you. I was the guy who was supposed to be in a bath, so who was sitting down and just like relaxing. Yeah, but I also said outside on the road. Like floating around. I was like, what the fuck is going on? None of that has happened for me yet. So anyway, that's why I wrote you just know, because you get a feeling. I feel like that's that's I'm sure you'll get some of that jank. It's a charming jank. It's like a rarely rarely it doesn't happen as much as the first game, but the first one was fucking yeah, the first one happens a lot. But I'll still good game, but you're like, it's got to run at a consistent stable frame rate like you can. When you say an argument frame rate, okay, when you say stable frame rates, like mice, my frame rate says thirty fps all the time, but when I move around it's like choppy, you know, or it's well that's like yeah, but it says thirty fps, so what's happening. Well, it will say that's the average frame rate. Probably, so there's average frame rate, and there's like you have one percent lows and like zero point one percent lows. When you do benchmark something, you you have a it's almost it's a graph like you'll see Digital Foundery do it. It's a graph that shows per I guess second or per whatever timing interval it is. It'll it'll show the frame rate on a graph and you will see the spikes, spikes and dips. That's where you're going to see it, and you'll notice that like in stutters, micro stutters, that's what you notice whenever a game is kind of not well optimized. Like in Monster Hunter Wilds when they've moved the camera, it would be like. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah, blah blah. It would dip like really yeah, crazy, and then it cut up once you stop moving the camera, which is not good in a high action like oh great, yeah, yeah exactly, it's horrible. But yeah, like thirty fps versus sixty fs, you need to have thirty fps minimum. We're talking, but this isn't this is kind of here and neither here nor there. But like, in terms of an average frame rate, a thirty fps is the bare minimum for like any game. Okay, yeah, it's the minimum frame rate required. And it's fun that we say this, but okay, so would you agree obviously we agree on that. Yeah. Yeah. For the longest time, all these games that come out, the goal is always just thirty fbs on the console, right, It's like, yeah, it gets got a thirty fps fidelity mode. Cool. They make it sound like they're doing as a favor some ship. Thirty fs is literally the bare minimum. Can you imagine playing it? Like like I have, I played Cyberpunk at twenty fps? Okay, what why? I was trying out the path tracing on an AMD card. Don't do it. Like playing Scarlet Violet Pokemon Scarlet. Yeah yeah, yeah, that game was didn't really optimize you see. That was like twenty fbs. Yeah, that was awful those discussion see, and that actually made me not want to play the game. So I have a full violet that. Like I started Great file as collecting Pokemon, I was like, I don't really want to play this because it just feels like shit. It just like trash yep. I powered through it. I just played it. See now, But everyone's like gameplay is king Okay, yeah, the game could be amazing, But if I can't play the game, I can't enjoy the game. I can't enjoy the gameplay because of the performance is bad, then the game is not good to me. It's not good to me. I have paid this money. It is not giving me back what I want. It is not good. That's that's the transactional Like how. Car Analogy is good? Yeah, the Car Analogy game engine game have engine, car have engine engine goes uttery, not run smooth. Car not good? Pretty pretty simple exactly. Yeah. I don't care how cool it looks or what fucking performance numbers it has. What the benchmarked quarter mile is? You know, how do I get that quarter mile? If my CARER can't run properly? Anyway? Yeah. So to me, good optimization is the game is using the least amount of resources that it can while maintaining a certain graphical fidelity and maintaining a constant frame rate. Yeah, but also draw times like screen draw times, you know what I mean. Yeah, Because like when you're given this hardware, right, you're given like a price to performance, like a cost. Like, so if you slide that slider up, it's going to cost on the performance. Right, So your GPU gives you x amount of dollars, okay, and each slider he keeps taking away those dollars from the GPU or your system resources until you've maxed out and your machine can't run. You can't have to optimize it per setting too. Yeah, it's it's a big it's probably a lot of it's a lot of work for for PC especially, but I mean. That's probably why, that's probably why Rockstar takes so long to get their PC ports out. Exactly, that's exactly why. It's literally exactly why. And I I mean, it's a twelve year old game. But GTA five, like I said, looks really fucking good, runs, perfect rate, tracing, full everything, Yeah, I agree, consistent, stable frame rate, absolutely bare minimum thirty. Sure, Yeah, we don't want any less than that. No, do we want to do we want to bring up that video that you sent. Yeah, well yeah, if you want to summarize it, I guess I can wall some of the points that we we have like that. Yeah, don't remember set loading, the asset loading and streaming. Do you remember what the fuck it was called shunshine something? Anyway, there's a video. The guy in the suit the talks about he's a game dev. Yeah, he's a game dev. He wears a suit and he like does these really dry humor like classroom videos, And he was talking about mons run or wilds, but he made up he brought up a lot of good and he seems pretty knowledgeable. Like he brought up a lot of stuff that makes sense, and like I don't know, Like we don't know. We don't know if he's you know, if he's fucking with us, if he knows what he's talking about, we don't know, but he seems like he does. And everything he said made sense in terms of how we how I think game development works, you know what I mean. He was talking about texture streaming, texture compression, how the game pulls and loads textures, on the fly he made. He shed a lot of light on that, and it seems like the issue that Monster Hunter was having, which Digital Foundry also did mention. He thought that it probably had something to do with the texture streaming, which which means, I guess in short, when you load up a game, when you load up a map, you can load everything into memory and have like a loading screen, right, and you'll have a longer load time because you're loading everything into memory all at once, But then the game will run kind of smooth because the assets are already there in memory. Yeah, but when you have all these games that want to reduce load times, they don't want loading screens anymore. You know, we've gotten away from these. Open world games, like the open world games. When you have the lower games, you don't want to loading screens all the time, right, So they have to stream textures from the hard drive into memory. But the textures are compressed, so they need to be uncompressed because they're big textures, like if they want to look good, they they're pretty big file size on disc and resolution, but they have to be compressed when they're stored on disk, otherwise the game would be hundreds and hundreds of gigs. So there's a balance. But this we can talk about. This is like the next point. It's called asset loading and streaming. Yeah, so it's basically load times, loading times versus the texture streaming. So you have to pick your poison kind of thing. Mm hmm. Right, So like are loading screens? Would you rather have loading screens or would you have this fucking stutter? You have loaded textures? Right? So in for in Monster Hunter Wild's case, Okay, what he deduced or what he could think of, is the textures were so large they were being compressed to a certain point and then when they were uncompressed and then getting upscaled. Yeah, there's the decompression that was taking the time. Yeah, taking the time, that's what was causing the stutters. So when you turn your camera, it's trying to uncompress those textures and send them to memory and display them on screen. Yeah are you are you right there? Daniel? Yeah? Why you were, like keep doing? I make all sorts of faces when I'm listening. So anyway, when like I said, when you're in those fast moving spots, fast moving gameplay, it's got to load those textures quick into memory. And if they're being if they're using some sort of he mentioned a different there's different types of compressions for the textures and whatever, like. You have to know which ones you should use and know which ones that are fast. And they're probably different between console and PC exactly, and they probably didn't change it. Yeah, and maybe it's just not as good. It's not what you should be doing on PC for a smooth running game, and like, which is weird to me because this is fucking Capcom is one of the biggest game developers. How do they not know this? How they don't care? That's what I think. They just don't give a shit. How did they not know this? It gets ridiculous. They're just console developers. Yeah, they just poured it over. They they don't know, that's what they They've never made a PC game. It's always been console and then port to PC and then fucking that's yeah right. So what are you saying that the console versions are running better better performance? Console? Yeah? Oh yes, probably because like Capcom is optimizing it for those console those machines, right, that hardware how it loads from the SSDs, because they're all SSDs. It's all the same hardware. They know exactly what hardware they're fucking developing for for in every case on a console, right, so they can just do it, and they've been doing it for years. They know how to develop for console, but they just don't know how to do it for PC. So it's still not greatly optimized on costole, but it is better than PC. So Rob from Gaming Duo, he bought it on PC, played it for like ten minutes. He's like, this is awful. Oh did he I didn't know that. And then he returned it. I believe he refunded it and then bought it on his PlayStation. Oh and that's where he's playing it now. Okay, I didn't know that, I thought, and everybody. That's why I haven't heard anything from the guys playing it, because they're probably all on console. Actually maybe not, I should ask them curious. But like the console version doesn't look great, but like it runs like a thirty second load. Will from FNG Yeah, Will from FNG says he's playing it at the forty he's playing it at the forty fps balance mode and he says it's running fine. Who Will Yeah from FNG. Yeah, so, but I'd like even if they made the PC version the Steam version a thirty second load time when you get in, Like, who. Cares, Well, that's the talk about that. So yeah, we've been seeing that a lot on PC. Is that compiling shaders where you wait fucking eight minutes before you get into a game? Yeah, okay, when you update your drivers. It happens when you do anything, when the game updates. When the driver updates, you have to compile these shaders, so that's loaded into memory, like Jonathan was saying, so whenever you jump into the game, everything's ready to go. Sometimes compiling these shaders take forever. Even on my machine SSD, one of the one of the better gaming CPUs on the market, and it still takes fucking eight minutes. Sitting there looking at this thing go across my screen like what the fuck am. I doing here? But what game was that? For? The Dragon's Dogma two Stalker two? Really? Uh something else? Recently, I've never really had an issue with that. It happens when I update my jew video drivers on APEX. That's all. That's the only time it ever you ever see it. It happens, But like some games just take so much longer, probably because it's doing that whole yeah thing. Right, Yeah, but I mean I'd rather that than have a shit fucking running game. Like. Yeah, the bottom line is I I don't care about load times within reason. Yeah, Like I don't need it to be fucking two seconds here. I am prepared to wait thirty seconds for loading screen. And as I was doing my notes, I sat there and I counted thirty seconds on my watch, and I was like, I have definitely waited that long before for multiple killer games that were solid experiences, and like those games were Red Dead two on one X. Yes, those load times those GTA very long, GA has GTA Kingdom Come Deliverance as well was very long. But yeah, it fucking looked and ran great on console. I didn't have very many bugs. I can't tell you that that was a shitty experience at all. So if game renders itself properly as a result, I don't care about waiting for thirty seconds or even more. I can check my phone, I could get a drink, I can eat a tasty treat during that time. It's yeah, but like that it doesn't come too has a decent load time, Yeah, you loaded up, but then but then you're fucking very quick for me, and you go into buildings. You open doors every fucking building you can go into. Kingdom come to you, and it doesn't stop me in load. It's crazy thing as long loading times doesn't break immersion, okay, but bad rendering does. So that's that. That's that, that's the end. All you know, like where is where are you going to get a loading screen in an open world game? Can't? Where are you gonna get one? Yeah, like between quests, fast traveling maybe fast traveling, yeah, fast traveling. Yeah, I mean, well maybe that's what kingdom, that's what Kingdom comes. That might be what Kingdom come. Deliverance two days because I don't see any other spot where it could possibly load exactly exactly. So games, yeah, little hidden hidden loading screens. Yeah, they also move shit out of memory that doesn't need to be there. Well, yes, like which are three whenever we I read a little story about they only rendered what was like in vision? Oh yeah, I remember a great idea and like they justing is what do you mean? Well, like, well, when you came to an open world, all the assets are loaded in the open world, right, yeah, Like I can't remember exactly what he said, but they said they did it like a really dummy version where it was off screen and then whenever they would come into screen, that's when it would like build itself or something like that. And I thought that's just how it worked in general. But there were games that did it really well. Recently we've seen a lot of good games. Indiana Jones ran fucking really good Call of Duty Black Ops six Run Run and unbelievably it's super fast. Kingdom Colm three amazing. I want to throw out Liza p here that Eliza p ran unbelievably well. It was like a slick It was so slick. Space Green two also ran Space Ring two. Yeah. True, all last two Doom games well Doom ye as all those guys have been at it. For those guys are FROs well. Capcom should be fucking pro two. Okay, Capcom hasn't been building games for PC though, Like the guys do a man, Doom feels so good. So like file size versus texture streaming, we have that the file sizes are gonna be bigger. I guess they can get bigger if you don't compress the textures, they'll load quicker, but the file size is going to be bigger. Do we care anymore? I don't care if my game is three hundred gigabytes. Okay, the performance as well, I don't care. Yeah, yeah, because there's always games I'm not playing. I could just a fucking uninstall. Yeah, you know what I mean, I don't give a shit about that. Like I think Call of Duty has given us that kind of like, Okay, I guess we're we're gonna start seeing two hundred gigabyte downloads. Yeah, but Call of Duty is like three games and one essentially, you know what I mean. So that's likely the majority of the reason because it's got like Warzone, you've got multiplayer, you got fucking zombies, you got Okay, here's a question. Three gigs in there, buddy. In that YouTube video, he said the size of the game for months Hunter Wilds was relatively small compared to like other open world games. Yeah, it makes sense. I guess from what I. Think, it was only like it wasn't very big. Uh Monster Hunter Wild's download size. I'll just check right now. And fifty two gigs wow? Really? Yeah? Like on PS five seventy five gigs on PC seventy five gigs is still pretty big. Now, let's see if they were like, Okay, Nathaniel, how about we give you one hundred gigabyte download. Okay, the textures aren't going to be as compressed. They're going to be somewhat compressed, but not as compressed. So your machine is going to take less horsepower to decompress these while you play, which will help the performance. I blake. If you need to have more video ran, you have a good GPU for that. Yeah, Like that's what he was saying, is you press the game. If you compress the game so much, then it's gonna work harder to decompress the game. It's gonna be hard. The CPU and. The CPU, all the CPU and consoles are its great. I don't know how it's I don't even know how it's doing that. To be honest, well i'd say I'd say give me a bigger game. Yeah, and don't compress my ship so much if that was an option. Yeah, I don't care. I got four terabytes on even. Sure, I got four terribytes. SSD storage Okay, SSD storage. I don't even have any of that, and I don't care. Just think of the games. If you don't have an SSD, give me, are there are there still. Game or something he's playing without an SSC right now. Yes, my friend, my brother, I've seen it. With my comment, if you do not own an SSD, please I would love to hear like a PC player you're talking about, Yeah, a PC player not playing on an SSD. If someone who is listening to this and does not happen, there are the people buying, buying. Fucking molester Hutter being like me, think about if you take a word performance, well maybe if you fucking got an SSD, you wouldn't have somebody at least you might fix some of those performances. I couldn't. I couldn't imagine if if someone was trying to play a monster like I don't think it it will run, right, I think it says you need. I should do a test. I have a couple of old ones in the garage. I actually when I when I downloaded Kingdom Come sorry, well yeah, when I installed it, it was like you have too much shit on your PlayStation, you need to uninstall something or I was like, oh right, So I went in and I had all this fucking shit installed. I just like got rid of so much and I felt so good, and then I install it, so I actually like clearing out my hard drives and uninstalling. So I don't Yeah, it is, it is. I don't care about keeping all the ship on there. I never want to keep bunch of shit installed. I will always uninstall. So I don't mind the bigger file sizes, especially if it's going to allow the game to just perform better and render more efficiently. I guess, yeah, more efficiently. Yeah, I don't care at all. Yeah, move on, moving on. Yeah, so I like this one. The next one you mean, yeah, Patch Culture, are we beta testers now? I like that. I would say yes and no, unofficially we are unofficial beta testers because yes, because we live in a time where developers can now easily read what the fans are saying or what they want on multiple public platforms, with YouTube reviews, comments on social posts, to even memes being like off the hook, like there's no way these developers don't see the fucking memes about their games and then think about them and take them to heart. Right, But the developer. Wallet's getting overflowed with money and dollars. Well, yeah, I guess it depends on the integrity of the developer. But if they can deliver what the fans are saying I think that the platforms that we have as fans now are legitimate platforms for like, you know, telling a developer, hey have you ever thought of this? Or hey what about this? Especially if it's like. A what do you need n miss kind of you know, like when I'm at working some friggin user comes up to me and it's like, oh, you know this is that's not working? Did you guys try doing it this? Like what do you think? Did you try checking the back end? Yeah? Like did you check the back end? Sit down? Do you know what that means? Shut up? Sit down? I'm not going to take ship. And that's that's true because like obviously some developers have already thought of this ship and like oh we couldn't do it or whatever, but like sometimes maybe they haven't and they're just like, yeah, that would be has not done that so well? But why do so many games launching a broken state? Is? I think obvious because the most part is the publishers wants to meet the fucking deadlines. Yeah and daring. This is business, that's plain and simple, that's right, and and that they just haven't. It's been like that for the fucking for since the gaming industry has become you know, online. Do you think that these four hundred billion dollars a year industry? I think when anything change. When you could patch, right, So like when the Internet came along the games whenever they said we've said this before, when the games have come to like consoles before the internet, that's what you got. There was no patching, right. Yeah. But do you think that these like boards and investors and whatever, they need to start reevaluating how much time they their expectations for, like time that games need to be developed, because have they have they are they care? Is it playable? Okay? People will buy it? Yeah? Well can you sell this? Can you sell this? Podcat, sell Monster Hunter? Wilds? We have our quarterly earnings call uh in February or whatever the fuck? Yeah? Minimum viable products? Yeah. But also you know what I was thinking, perhaps we're seeing you know, we're seeing all these layoffs, a lot of people getting let go. That's knowledge and experience that these companies or companies are losing, you know what I mean? And in these people, I'm wondering if maybe some of this knowledge, knowledge on how to properly optimize games is maybe being lost and not valued as much. As because now they rely on AI upscaling, Because why don't we bring that up? Where's my fucking blue sky? When you're when you're a fucking director, you're you're a you're a top dog at this company. It's like, oh, I could keep this guy on. He's in charge of kind of optimization, and. Why do we need that when we can just DLSS this? Yeah, can't she? But although the CEO is not really thinking of a DLSS nothing, he's a business perspective. Ask the guys underneath him, Hey, yes, can we let this guy go? He makes a lot of money because he's been here a long time, you know, because he's got knowledge. Here we go knowledge Ty Lopez. Okay, we're gonna talk about can you fucking share your screen? Please? I'm not looking at your phone through a weblee guy, Blue Guy doesn't have an online app yet, it has a website you can share. You're scolling, Well, I'll just do this Monster Hunter minimum requirements. Oh yeah, the minimum requirements for Monster Hunter is disgusting. Yeah, it's actually like and they expect you to use frame gen Yes, let's read it. Hold you get sixty fps? Can I share my screen? So take a look at this. Zoom in here recommended. No, let's go minimum. Okay, this for Joe Blow doesn't really spend money on games, but he wants to play Monster Hunter Wild's okay. Resolution he's gonna get is ten ADP upscaled in brackets, frame rates thirty fps. These old s CPUs, Okay, these are like fucking six years old now. The thirty six hundred, that's pretty old. Sixteen gigs of memory, The GTX sixteen sixty. Super I five is not that old. This ten twelve twelve Gen I three is not that old either. But this is forty gigabye SSD. What is this? That's so much space? You need one hundred and forty SSD? Here we go. NOTE'SD required. This game is expected to run it ten ADP upscaled from seven to twenty p, thirty fps under the lowest graphic settings, direct storage supported. So what you're saying is they can't even they can't even get it at ten ADP without upscaling. Is that a bad thing? Like? I don't know? Is that how? That's other games are doing that? Other developer minimum? That's minimum? Okay, say I have a Monster Machine okay, and I'm like, I'm gonna play some monster under wilds. My computer's going to fucking destroy this game. Recommended specs okay, still ten ADP sixty fps targeted. Okay, they're going to target sixty with frame generation enabled. So they're they're recommending to target sixty fps. You're gonna need frame frame generation turned on. That alone just boggles my Mind's that's so craziness. That's absolute craziness. Look graphics card forty six twenty seventy Super sixty seven XT eight gigs of v RAM whatever you're note as as the required this game is expected to run at ten ADP sixty fps with frame generation enabled under the medium graphic settings, with direct storage supported. Yeah, but that's kind of with this. This is still kind of older hardware. It's kind of lower end stuff. Obviously, even the recommended specs is the lower end stuff. But the fact that I think this is the first time I've seen recommended that you use frame generation. Yeah, that's disgusting. You can't be recommending people to use frame gen Like frame gen is not something that just magically gives you, Yeah, fucking sixty. FPN and it looks like asshole, Like it's stupid. Yeah, it's so stupid, Like when you turn that shit on, it's like laggy, your controls aren't quick, Like. It's especially if you're trying to get go from thirty fps and turn frame gen on to get something higher, it's like, yeah, it's gonna still feel like absolute shit. Yeah. Frame gen is for reaching high refresh rate targets. If you have like a two hundred and forty HURTZ monitor. Let's say your GPU isn't going to push a game like Cyberpunk or something two hundred and forty fps, Like, it's just not happening, So turn frame gen on. Maybe you get an extra you know, twenty. For a cinematic experience, Okay, okay, like a game that you're not going to be like killing big monsters with weapons and have to be somewhat accurate and fast paced and like ready to go for your blocks and your dodges. Yeah, you don't want frame generation. They created a game which the core gameplay is being quick, swipping up or swapping out weapons, changing your weapons on the fly, fighting big monsters, avoiding tail swipes claws like, and they recommend you to put on Frame generation are you out of your fucking mind. God, that's crazy to me. Yeah, increasing the input leg for increase your input leg you'll have great times. You'll have a great time trying to dodge that dragon tail. Now, man, And they did they did it wrong anyway. Whenever, like AMD when they came out saying that they're going to put the frame generation on the driver's side. Okay, they said recommended you're at sixty fps already, then turn on frame generation to smoothen out whatever, or hit that that refresh rate that you want a little higher. Right, It's not a tool to get you to sixty fps. That's not how it works. Okay, you're you're at sixty fps and you want that higher like smooth sirre enable it. If you're really hurting for those extra frames and you're at like fifty fps, it won't really work properly. It doesn't ye like I'm doesn't. As an example, I was watching, I think it was Optimum, like Optimum Game. Optimum is a YouTube YouTube channel builds PCs, builds like Small form Factor PCs. He does reviews and stuff. But he was talking about the fifty ninety and the frame gen on the fifty ninety, like the crazy new FSR or DLSS frame gen that goes like he said he could play or something. Yeah, he could play stupid cyberpunk at like two hundred and forty hurts. And he said he he preferred to play it that way just because of how smooth it is, because he has that you know, that that refresh rate. And he said he he thinks he prefers to play like that just because how smooth it is. But that's you're already getting like without the frame gen on, he's probably getting like, I don't know, one hundred and twenty FS. Maybe it's not like he's going from fucking thirty sixty to two hundred and forty, Like that's not what it is. And Vidiot does allow to do that because they have the multiple step frame gen. Now it's times two, times three, times four. Yeah that's what he was doing, times. Eight or whatever. It's so stupid. But like imagine playing a thirty FPS times four to one hundred and twenty, like that would be so dumb. There was so many of your sticks, you moved your stick. It's like the text, if there's any text on screen, it would be like all smudged and it's all smudged and look like fake letters. I actually experienced a little bit of that in Kingdom. Come, Like, I turned the same gen off. I turned it off as well because some of the texts would just kind of be. And when I moved the camera, Yeah, edges of the edges of the screen would be like slideshow, just the edges. Yeah, it was really weird. I turned that shit off. Yeah, I'm not going to turn frame gen on. I don't think not unless I'm like I I'm in dire need of it. Yeah, but all right, next point, Oh okay, Well that ties into our next on, which is the fps Wars thirty sixty one twenty Does it matter? I think we kind of covered that week delier we did. I mean, I would just like to remind everyone that, Nathan, because you said something that that struck a chord, because you said, if you want a cinematic experience, which I do all the time, because films are shot at twenty four fps, right, it's the industry standard for most motion pictures and TV, and like, I get it. You know, these aren't films, and like you don't have to play a movie and potentially frustration depends on it because you're actually in control of the character. But like you want a game to become and responsive. But uh, even in gaming, I'm still looking for cinematic experiences because if it's a solid, well optimized game and I don't notice the thirty fps, you bet your ass I'm gonna play it in thirty FPS, especially if that means that we get enhanced features, right, like if you get the ray tracing, if you get the shadows and everything beautiful in there, even at the expense of some input leg if any or whatever. But honestly, sometimes I don't know. I still don't like sixty fps sixty fps, depending on the game. Like when I see some games in sixty even if it's like Ultra and the camera's whizzing around and everything seems sterile and unnatural, something just feels wrong. I don't talking about no, but I think it's just because I'm so obviously used to the thirty But like I've I watched Cyberpunk at sixty and I was like, I don't like this, So really, I don't know. I think there's something you didn't want. Six. When I said cinematic, I meant like a slower paced Yes, I know, I know it's more on something like a drama or whatever, Like I get that. But no, but even even so, even action games like Cyberpunk, like I want it to feel like a movie because like that's kind of the whole point of it is. I want it to be like an experience and and like a like I'm watching a film at the theater or something. Now you say that, Okay, Now that'd be cool if I was just watching it, Like if I was watching a game at thirty fps, fine, okay, if I was watching a game at twenty four point five f ps, if I was watching it, But if I have to control something on that screen, mm hmmm, and what I'm putting that controls to that game, and it's a mess. It's a chain of input. Yeah, I don't want that shit. That's that's where that's where it disconnects me. Interesting, So like, well, I don't know, Like in RPGs, most of your time is just putting your left stick forward right when you're walking. It's pretty much what you're doing in an RPG eighty percent of the time. Yeah, you're walking, or you're on your horse and you're riding, true and you're going and you're going straight to right, you're going straight thirty fps. Fine, okay, but like if I'm playing a Soul's like game where I have to be able to dodge, I have to be able to that's important. Yeah, in and out right, then I need my sixty fps. Yeah, that's true. If I'm somebody, if I'm in competition and I need to get my bullet through that guy first, I need my sixty or one twenty. I just want online games or yeah, okay, fucking Souls games, So I'm fine with the thirty. So it depends who you are as a gamer. Anyway, we can move on course. Higher fps allows for faster input. Okay, if the game just runs faster. I mean I've seen it firsthand. Apex on PS five with the regular sixty FPS mode is noticeably worse than the one hundred and twenty. One and twenty is snappier in frame rate, but also like it's it's more instant on the stick. You feel it more, you feel it, quicker, you feel it, your trigger trigger shoots when you actually fucking press it, you know what I mean. It's there's a definite, definite delay when you don't have that the extra stuff, even if it looks a little worse. It's way better. Like I will never go back to the to the like the higher resolution sixty fps after playing that, even the lower resolution one twenty like never, not even a question, right, right, right right? I think that, Yeah, because you want to be on you want to be a huge advantage. Yeah, the adage is yours when you're input is that much quicker? Like yeah, you notice, like it's like I'm not that good on controller, and I feel maybe even I have an advantage over people just because of that, Like I do really well when I play on PS five and I'm not really that good on controller. So I mean, it's got to be a big part of it. Okay, next point is PC versus console? Who really has it worse? Question? Mark? Who has it worse? I mean, I think I think what I ran the numbers for the last episode for the GTA, Okay, I found out how many console. Players there actually are. Of course, okay, tons billions, yes, of course, Okay, it's more. Yeah, there's way more console players. So the companies, obviously they are going to go where there's money. They're gonna make their games for console first and then throw the trash at the PC later, whether the companies are cool and they want to support their game after they poured it and like patch it a little bit, that's welcome. I'd love for companies to do that. That's because like PC was the only way to game back in the day, like especially like the early two thousands or like late nineties, like that's what you played new video games on because you weren't, you know. But it's changed now, like all the market has gone to the masses on consoles and it's like that's every All these companies now have personalities and like that's what they're marketing. They're fucking superheroes. You know. You got Phil Spencer and all these Xbox guys and it's like it's a whole frat party, you know. So it's not like PC is like it's been around forever and it's old news now and it's not the cool thing. Like all the kids are playing consoles, young generation. More people are moving over to people. Yeah, maybe spike has spiked, like the PC user base has risen. I think I consoles that's why console players have it better because okay, I think probably now this is a generalization, guys, Okay, this is a don't at me. Console players are pigeons and peasants and don't know anything. Okay, generally so being blissfully insurant. I think it's just better. Probably that's better to be blissfully Okay, I'll play thirty fps, you know whatever. That's what they know, that's what they do. I have been PC gaming since Can nineteen ninety nine. Okay, I play. I've been playing sixty fps since nineteen ninety nine. Dude, like, I cannot play at thirty fps. I just can't do it. You play, you've been playing sixty since nineteen nine. I don't believe that. Yes, yes, CRT Monitors Team Monitors fucking had a sick graphics card. I remember, I bought it myself. Oh you mean those those big big tube monitor monitors. Yeah, I bought in ninety nine. We bought a PC, and then I bought a video card, a Radion All in Wonder seventy two hundred. Go look that up. Okay. It costs like four hundred and fifty dollars in nineteen ninety nine, and I bought it to game with, but also to capture video for my high schoolery on that from my high school video movie making a drama movie that I was editing so it could capture video. What a fucking sick card. But uh yeah, I mean it ran everything super fucking fast. Group playing like what would we have been playing at that time? I don't even remember Warcraft three. Well, next thing, just the next games like Unreal Tournamentology, Age of Empires, the Quake, and like Unreal that was sixty fps back then. That's when I started playing at that level. Okay, but then when you go to console, it's so slow and it's just like I just can't do it thirty I used to play those two Unreal Tournament and Ship. Yeah that's true. I guess I was too, but I still ended up on college. Now. The only reason I ended up on console is because I hated and again we're in this point PC versus console. I fucking hated fiddling getting a PC and yeah, and fiddling with settings and being like and going like I said, I've said this before, and going can you run it? Don't call you were sick? No Lego in the in the floppy drive and breaking my PC. But I can see that Legos each I just want a game, right, they just want a game. Yeah, they want to press the power but I don't want to fuss they want to post the power button. I don't want to get in there and don't want a game. Yeah, I think it's just like when you're a PC gamer, you're just a little more advanced. You know, you're a little more aware, aware of what's happening. You're woke to know what's under your hood so that you can play these games. Like I think that's the thing, is that if you're a PC game or you're constantly customizing your machine and you're looking up what you need to play certain games, and that's just how you get to know it. So you know, you end up knowing how these parts work and what the names of them are and how much power they have versus and then you're like, oh, well let's go see what's in the consoles and then you know that lingo. So yeah, of course you're going to be more advanced and understand what you need and build like an efficient machine. But I also just fucking hate windows, and I hate operating systems windows that are like windows, and like, if it's on the console and I don't have to look at it, I don't have to see it, I can put in a disc and it plays great, you know, yea, And I think that as for developer, because we have a point here here it says that it says developers often push hardware too far, but like, I don't know. It depends on how much I trust a developer, which is why successful Triple A releases are so important, right, like why track record is so important. So for instance, we know that Rockstar can optimize a fucking game. They can use their resources for the console and release a fantastic performing game like Red Dead two ran flawlessly on one X and that was what seven years ago, twenty eighteen, yeah, one X. Yeah, So I think it depends on the developer and what they come out with, how good their games run, Like now Warhorse, Warhorse studios, Like I know that whatever they release coming out going forward for new consoles or whatever. Especially after KCD two, Like yeah, exactly what they did there. Okay, it's boggling my mind just thinking about how good that game looks and how it runs. That's all. Go play KCD two. Fuck, yeah, it's crazy, Go play it. Got freaking play it, that's right. What have got next? Here? Last point? Last point, And that's the point that we all want to talk about oh AI and the future of optimization. Yeah, that's right, this is where it's going. Okay, we've touched on this before. We can't stop it. I can't stop try. No, it doesn't fixation. So you were saying earlier, people are getting their job, the people losing their jobs. There's probably people that do certain things that help optimization in the pipeline, right, Yeah, they chop that pipeline up. They say, we don't need this anymore. That's I don't know, ten guys at sixty thousand a year, you know what, we're just saving half a million dollars a year just by plugging this API in here, this plug in. Use FSR or use DLSS because we don't want to optimize the game. We just want to upscale it. But that doesn't help just frame stuttering and no it doesn't. But they don't care, right yeah, I mean I hope that's not true. That's idiotic. If true, you know what, fine for consoles, but that's not how we want to do on PC. Okay, Monster Hunter Wilds isn't even using FSR two on console. It's using FSR, it's using base shit FSR shouldn't it be using f SR three. No, it's not like they could because there are games that are using FSR three on console. There are games and they decided to use FSR that. There's so much shit that I want to scream about. Okay, well, well I will not fix bad optimization. That's that. That's it. I think we just have to hope that developers don't utterly stop caring about the experience and like the game and the gamers. I think you're going to notice that from like Triple A studios down to the indie devs. Right, the Triple A studios, they they're more cost right, yeah, cost on the brain because they think of a studios or indie guys wanted to craft that game free, right. They want to show you what they can do, and. It might be a little smaller, a little shorter or whatever, but it's going to be like like you know, bringing it back out K two. They're not a Triple A studio. They didn't They didn't say we recommend you use frame generation for this game. They didn't say that. No, No, they cared about the game and like how well it looked. They cared about their immersion. They delayed the game by seven six or seven months, okay, and they fucking knocked it out the park because it was supposed to be out before the end of last year. That's true. Like they're like, no, we're going to release it in February, and then they gave us a day. It was like mid February, and they're like, you know what, it's going, right, it's going good. We're going to release it a week earlier because of how well it's going. Boob right now. That's cool. That's a success story for sure, and just the way it feels in place is magnificent right now. Now, the AI think predicting performance issues, that's an interesting point. AI predicting performance issues. I don't think that's a thing. I don't think that how to AI predict performance issues? How can it do anything? It would need to be modeled on a data set. It would have to have a data set in order to predict something. So it would need to know probably take sales and what hardware people have, and it would need to know the development methods of previous games that were poorly optimized and compare them to current games, while also knowing the methods of those games, maybe not predicting. But what if AI become beta testers. AI becomes the beta testers. It justnchmarkans through the game and it's like, okay, you've got issues here, this is happening. I mean, how do you not do that with your fucking eyeballs? In QA, they don't Q anymore. They don't have to hire anybody for this though a I would be free. Just close betas right, we test these games for They used to pay people to sit there and test games. Can you believe that? And they're like one day they just realize it, like, we're just fucking you have to sit arounded game? What's the ship? Yeah, so why don't we just release the game early, charge it extra and get these buffoons to play. For us, the gamers? Yeah, these fucking buffoons. Yeah, I mean, let's pay that. This is the this is what we're living. This is the world we're living in right now. Okay, yeah, this is the world we're living in. It's wild. Maybe it's a wild time to be alive. Maybe if they had a software that uses AI to read the screen while you run a demo of some kind or play a small chunk of the game, and it can analyze they can take that with the benchmark run, analyze the graphs, the frame graphs, the FPS graphs, and see the dips and see the one percent lows where you're getting them. Check your CPU, what's happening to the CPU, check graphics, what's happened. And everything like that. Yeah, I mean that could be a good idea, But then they're gonna have to invest resources into developing something like that. So we doould they Let's let's create our own AI app that does that. Wow, that'd be and then. Sell that to all these big companies. They can fire all these people and use our. App, and then we'll fire ourselves and use as to continue on the company. And we're just reading it. Yeah, it just optimize itself. There we go, love it. That's how we do it anyhow. Anyway, that's it. Optimization matters, folks. That's what we came here to say. After all that. Yes, so let's go over. I'm gonna go real quick over the points we hit. A well optimized game should one run at a constant or consistent stable frame rate, no big drops or spikes, Okay, have fast, responsive controls with minimal input leg I think that, Yeah, I think that's not asking too much, you know. Okay, figure out how you're gonna load those textures, assets and environments without popping or stuttering. Okay, so the compression aspect, and. We don't care about load times. Yeah, we don't care about load times. Okay, don't really care. You're gonna use system resource efficiently instead of brute forcing power. So like my machine, I could probably brute force Monster Hunter Wilds, but it's gonna be screaming its head off right just to get where I want it to get, and I don't want to destroy my computer to run this game at ten ADP sixty fps. Do then then you're gonna have to find out. The last point is scale well across different hardware PC and consoles, optimize for console, and then if you need to delay the game on PC, don't have it multi like, if you can't optimize it properly, just take your time and then optimize it properly or make sure it's optimized on all hardware, then release it. Did you imagine there's an idea? Imagine that casey do two? Like what a? What a? That's it? Go play? I think Kingdom Come Deliverance too for some My closing thoughts here. I think all told, the bottom line with performance and video games is there has to be compromised, whether it's from the developer or the gamer, Like who's making it? Do you want A which gives you X, or B which gives you y? Because you said something of a slider analogy before, Nathanael, like, that's what it's all about. You're gonna lose something on one. If you push something one way, you're going to gain something another cost to performance. That's what. Yeah, you've got to pick your poison, right, that's I think was a good h that's a good, good way to put it. And this wasn't like I wasn't trying to go for a thirty fps versus sixty fs because you can have a well optimized game at thirty fps. Okay, yes, of course, yes, that's it. Yeah, like there are plenty of those. Like I would play Monster Hunter Wilds at thirty fps if it wasn't a stuttery, ugly miss. Yeah, like I would, like Danael said, thirty fps. There's a thirty FS mode, you can play it. It's good. Hogwarts Legacy thirty fps was pretty good. Oh yeah, very true. It was solid. Uh, GTA five was solid on consolate thirty fs didn't dip. It's the dips and the stutters bit. You can have a good experience at thirty fs, not a problem. Just figure the shit out. Figured it out. Yeah, and it's like, this is your job. And then when you look at the game and he's like, this looks bad. Like you can tell when a game looks like it's from the PS three era when it's released nowadays and it's destroying forty nineties. You know what I mean, that's bad. You know what, developers, Just do me a fucking favor. Just put anti aliasing into the game. Okay. If I play another fucking game that doesn't have any anti aliasing, I'm gonna shoot someone. Okay, what are you talking about? No, Like, I don't know, man, I was playing hell let loose. Oh yes, there's no fucking any Just do it. Let's just put it the game. Remove something else. No, see, that's because that is a that's a high performance price point. Okay, So to cut corner or to to get it running at a stable thirty fps, that is the most cost of fashion, cost of efficient way of doing it. Okay, Kawa, So you can take this off and then it brings everything up or input latency, yes, shooter, yeah, So like it's all about that performance cost performance to compromise, that's what you want. And like anti aliasing is hard. It hits hard, man, even if you disable it on KCD two, like I'm at like two hundred fps. Like holy shit, it's crazy because all the blades of grass that are flowing in the wind, the trees and the leaves right, they all have to get smoothed. At the edges. So wha it is? Anyway? All right, our rant, I guess is done. I would like to play Monster Hunter Wilds me too. I probably will someday, me too. I can't really play multiplayer games right now, so may Whenever I can, I'll jump in and maybe it'll be patched by then. If not, I'll have to rely on some beautiful modding communities to fix the game. For couple out there that I've seen, well they work. But that's all I got to say about this shit.
