Hello everybody, and welcome to another episode of the Elder Gaming Podcast. If you are new in joining us, we are two brothers who get together and talk about gaming. We may also talk tech, TV, movies, and other nerdy geeky stuff too, And today we're going to talk about the showcase week and what stood out to us overall. There was a lot. I got like an action cam and I thought maybe we could use it. I could use that hockey I could maybe use it for the podcast, but the thing is in webcam mode. It only works at ten eightyp thirty fps. I wonder why, so I. Can't really use it very well as a webcam. I'm trying at this episode. This is just a I have to zoom in a lot, so it's not good quality, and zooming in on ten eightyp is not good. So no, it's not. If it was four K, it would be perfect because I could just zoom in. But like this is kind of grainy and low res, so I don't know it's going to boom out like you would see literally my entire room. Yeah yeah, yeah. Even at the narrowest angle setting like you didn't see my entire room. I'd say it's better to have this anyway, because it's more reliable. It's going to be more reliable than into the phone. The whole phone set up. I found the phone set up thing was a bit annoying. It is annoying, man. This is maybe a bit less annoying, But I mean I can kind of it's a little wider angle, you see my room a little more. I can books adjust it. That whole back wall should be book bookshelves. We have too many books as it is. Don't don't get it, don't get get her any ideas. Yeah, I've got a big headshot session tomorrow, full day head shots. Oh yeah, buddy, Oh yeah for a big construction for. I have head shots sessions every day, bro, call of fucking duty, bud. I've bought and I spent a lot of money in the last week, and I bought a lot of stuff for for very frivolous reasons, you know, frivolities spending money when yeah, I uh, I bought What the fuck did I buy? I bought the camera it was on sale though, Okay, let's go two ninety ninety nine for the Osmo DGI Osmo Action four, which is equivalent to like a Go Pro Hero twelve nine is pretty good, yep. I was like, oh, that's weird, I should probably buy that. Bought that, and then I was like, oh, Pam gave her tablet to her sister so she could use it blah blah blah. And she's like, well, she's like I was thinking about getting an iPad. I was like, hold that thought, I will get an iPad. You always do that. She can give you mine. Pam can never get new things. She just gets there stuff. So you can get new things. Dude, my iPad is a twenty twenty Pro, Like, it's still really good. She's not going to get a better one for like six hundred dollars basic bitch iPad. Now it's not better than my twenty twenty. No, my my basic bitch iPad. The screen is like it's so weird. It feels really weird. The screen like there's a lot of space between the screen, like the like the actual screen and the shielding, you know what I mean. Yeah, it feels like there's a lot of air space. Like when you tap it like makes that kind of echoe sound, like there's a lot of space in between, like a hollow window. That's what it kind of feels like. It's like talk talk man. My Pro twenty twenty has one hundred and twenty hurts fucking screen bud. It's got really strong processor. It's perfectly good. I was like, well, I don't bother, like, I don't want her spending, you know, six hundred dollars when I'll just go spend nine hundred dollars on a new iPad. But I got a really sick deal for my buddy. He's a genius at Apple Apple Store at the mall. He gave me his personal discount twenty five percent. Are you allowed to say that on here? Wow? I'm not telling his name, not saying his name, ah cool, not saying his name, not saying his location. But he gave me twenty five percent off. And he told me, if they ask, it's for me. And I said, I'm borrowing it. Like he said, when you go pick it up. If they ask, they won't, but if they do, just say it's for me and you're picking up for me. I'm like okay. And then he said, but if my he's only allowed one iPad per year, and he's like, if my iPad dies, I'm coming after you. Yeah, fuck one iPad a year. That's pretty good. I got the Apple iPad Air thirteen inch with the M three chip M three chip boom. Nice. And then that's not the only thing I bought. I got a new Garmin watch, Garmin Venue three. Pretty cool. Nice cool, must be fucking nice. Maybe I'll go get a switch to you know, yeah, why. Not, you're already in there, You're already in the pool. Might as well swim around some more. Yeah, fuck it, chires man. I love my MacBook Pro M dot two. I love it. The M M dot two that's a that's a yeah, M two sorry, M two chip. The M three. Apparently it's good because I can actually plug my iPad now into my monitor and use my monitor with the iPad with. The USBC to AGM or something yea. With them with the M chips. You can do that with my other one. You can't, Hm, I don't have M three on my iPad. I have to get a new fucking Apple pencil too, because the other one doesn't work with the new one. Nice, nice, nice, nice. I think we got a cool I think it's the show is going to be good. There's a lot of stuff, a lot of stuff that's happened last week. We got the fucking so let's get into it. Summer Games Fest, PlayStation, Stay to Play, Xbox erect, I mean direct. It made me erect, that's for sure. Oh oh. I wanted to say that I've been dabbling in game dev recently. Yep. I've made myself a little card game, the Rogue Lake Card Game, and it was going good. I actually had it made. It was all done, and I couldn't get past my own level three and then you stumped yourself. I stumped myself. And then Claude's like, listen, nasty, you gotta you gotta port this over to something else because it's getting a bit heavy. Claude. I was like, Claude, listen, Claude, shut the shut the fun up. I was like, how do I make this on mobile? He's like, wow, so you got to port it to one of these game engines. I was like, oh, oh really. So I was like, I was like, okay, So then I started doing it. I started getting my game over to go uh what's called go dot good dot for go dot for good dough, and I was poorting it over. He was giving me the code and he's telling me where to put it. All the ship and then like I don't know, the server just kept crashing and like uh four O four not found. Claude was crashing and I come back to I finally reload Claude, and my chat history is gone. I'm like what, oh yeah, like my past four chat histories, which was all about my game dev stuff all fucking gone. All the code, everything's gone. So all I have is what I've poured it already over to good do For and so I I'm debating whether to just start from scratch y or or I'm gonna feed the code that I had put into godo for back to Claude so he can get caught back up and then we start we start over. So I'm kind of fucked right now, but it's gonna be good. It's gonna be good. It's gonna be I think I'm gonna be able to do it quickly because man, Claude AI is fucking smart. He's a smart cookie. I used to me I did it at work. He's a smart cookie. But but yeah, that's pretty much it. I had a few people playing my little game. My wife loves it, and my co worker also really likes it. Really could all I could hear is her clicking away. It's like clicking like in the web browser. It works on my iPad screen. I was like, we're fine, but it's web based, right, and then you could get some you could make the art with AI. Also, you're a one man AI dev dev team, dev team. But yeah, it's gonna be pretty cool. It's gonna take me a while, but I don't mind. I don't mind. That's it. Let's head over to the game. Time. Yeah, yeah, time, Yeah, we're back. Yeah, you've been playing anything new? I played a few hours of the the Henry dlc Oh. Yes, the Painter the Painter One. There's there's two of them. There's one with like you have to find some dude's armor. Oh yeah, okay, I got that one with the launch. Yeah. So there's that one, which is in and then there's the Painter one. The Painter one is in the old area, the Trotsky area. I think it goes okay. I'm still kind of doing it. But like again, like when I'm when play in this game, I'm like I go to do man the Quest and I'm just like, oh, what's over here? And I find a guy and I found a guy on the side of the road and he's like, yes, he's a treasure map. He fell out of a tree and I'm like, dude, what the fuck. And he's like, oh, I fell out of this tree because I thought I saw something gold in the tree and I climbed it. And he's like, I've got a bad luck my whole life. And he starts giving me his life story how big of a loser he is, and I was like, oh, come on, it's not that bad. And he just keeps going until you finally admit, Okay, maybe you're a born loser. It is so fucking funny. And I was like, okay, man, you're a fucking loser. And then I he laughed, like he walks away. And then I tried to look for what he was finding in the tree, like what he was looking for in the tree. And there is a nest in the tree, and you can shoot down nests with your arrows and find what's inside my treasure. I never even I haven't done that once, because I was like, where do I find these nests? Yeah, they're just in there and you just shoot them at and then you search them. And then I searched them and it was something. It was nothing. It was nothing gold or cool at all. I was like, this is so stupid. Why the hell would it? Why the hell would you climb the tree for this? But it's pretty good. The character is interesting, the painter guy, yeah, because he's kind of like there's something weird about him. Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah I did. I did. Tell the quests you have to like go find like a in the forest, like you have to get its brushes back from some thugs. You have to do like a basilisk egg. Yeah, okay did that stuff? Oh you did that one? Yeah, I'm on that one. So I'm I put the egg in the in the swamp. Yeah. Yeah, it's really very weird. It's cool though. I just love running around that game. And because now I have that perk that unlocks all the stuff on the map, I just kind of go walk around to the different things that I haven't found yet on the map that I can see because I have the perk, and I just find treasures and find stuff that's cool in the map. It's really fucking sweet. Also, it runs better now. They must have I. Told you I told you that, Remember, I was like, I don't know what they did, but it definitely runs better. Yeah, it definitely runs better for sure. Like I did, I put my settings all back up and oh yeah, sixty maxed out. I don't want to go higher than that on my TV because I think there's some weird artifacting my TV does if it's above sixty hurts, which isn't that's fine, Yeah, but still at sixty at sixty hurts, it's really good. But yeah, other than that, just multiplayer stuff, multiplayer stuff, I haven't really committed to anything single player. Yeah, I think Death Ranting two comes out in a couple of weeks. Oh shit, so I'll have to play that. There's probably some other Stuff's onely on PS five, isn't it? I think? So chat? Can you if somebody looked this up chat exclusive? Yeah, I'm crushed that Death Stranding two is a PS five exclusive. Maybe I have to fucking wait then maybe I'll just wait. Yeah, that's platform PlayStation five. Because I don't want to really play it on PS five, although I could, it's not a huge deal. I still can't believe it looks that good. And I'm for like a PS five game, you know what I mean? Man, I was shocked at how good person it looked like when I boot it up and like, this game is fucking six years old or five years old. When the hell they'll come out twenty eighteen. I think it's going to knock some socks off the fidelity on this one. It's gonna be locked at thirty, but it's gonna look pretty sick like the trailers. Look, I was locked at thirty. Did they say that, Oh, there's got to be different modes or something, we'll see You'll have to tell me. I probably will not be playing it because I just watched the like the first one, like like a like a recap thing, and I was like, what the fuck is going on here? I wonder if that'll be enough to just play the second one. I don't really want to buy it on PS. Five, so me either. They had a whole event with Kagem at the end of at the end of the weekend at the Summer Games. It was like an interview they were doing up on stage with a play through a couple of parts in the game and showing the gameplay as the guy played like on stage and explain what was going on. And it looks really good. I wanted to play at day one, but I mean the PS five thing. I don't know, I guess, I guess I will. I mean, I don't care because I played and finished the first one. It Man. Anything else for you, No, just just been playing Bizarre and man Man. And did I play anything else? No, just war Zone cod. I got still playing some night Rain played. I actually was able to play a good sash with with Cross we had as yeah with with a one random other guy and it was so fun. It was super fun. I'd love to keep playing. I keep playing solo, and I keep getting to I keep getting through the three Nights to the Night Boss and I can almost get them Solo, I can almost get him. So yeah, I'm just gonna be hacking await that the Night Boss the Night Boss. And then I've downloaded a few demos from the next veest because Steam Next Fest is on, So I downloaded the wild Gate Open Beta, which is which is in one of the showcases. Look pretty fun Wildgate wild Gate. Yeah, it's like a co op uh, like a PvP shooter, but it's got like different things like spaceships and whatnot. I went on to the next vest and all I saw was a bunch of porn games. Uh. I was like, what is this? I got Kingdom come both. Oh yeah, come there it is Kingdom. Come Deep Deep Veterans. Wow, extraviews from Taboo Tales. God, there's so many porn games on Kingdom. Come c u M if you didn't already get that. I downloaded a hell is Us demo. Haven't booted up yet? I heard it runs like really heavily. Yeah it's a isn't it a? It's another Unreal Engine five game. It's like thirty fps on forty nineties. Downloaded Splic eight two. But that's what that's fully out yet, that's fully out now? Yes, Splicate too, We haven't. I haven't played it yet. I downloaded it. Oh and I downloaded on my Legion Go. I downloaded the Moonlighter two demo. Oh so good. It's where you open up a little shop, your little shopkeeper. You go to the dungeons to find relics. It's blake. Do you already play this game before? No, it's that I played the first one so that they came up with the one cool or they're coming out with a second. I played the demo and it looks more like a Zelda ripoff than like an eight bit or sixteen bit cartoon anything. But it's like like links like link like awakening, like links of past or links awakening. Links awakening for switch. It looks like that. Yeah yeah, oh very cool. Uh so hopefully I can jump back into those. But that's it. That's it, that's it, that's it. That's pretty rad. I love demos. I love free games. You know, my PS five is now just my free to play machine. I just play free to play games on there. That's it. So I can play split Gate two on there because's free to play, and I don't need a PlayStation. And I want a mouse and keyboard for that. I don't need a PlayStation plus subscription to play that. You don't want a mouse and keyboard for split Gate two? Well, I go up and down and it's cross platform and cross stave and progression. So I down there, I come up here, whatever you want, whatever I want. You know, there's a battle Royal mode that they can Battle Royal mode. That's cool. I gotta try it. We gotta try it. We should go try it, yes, one of these days. Yeah, it would be nice, It would be nice. This weekend is a fucking shit show, though, So. We're recording on a Thursday night. Showdown, show week, show showdown showing, Oh, showcase showing. We had a massive week of showcases, trailers, gaming goodness. You know, yeah, it was a whole weekend or like the Summer Games was three days long. I guess, yeah, But before that that was I didn't know the state of play before that. Then it was the gaming Then there was the game Fest, and within the game Fest there was the Xbox Game Showcase, and then at the end of the game Fest there was like a PC Game Showcase or whatever like that. But it's never really anything great on there. But yeah, let's freaking dive in. Let's start with the PlayStation state of play. It's gonna be really quick. Nothing nothing blew my socks off here. No, just two things, two things for me one of them. One of them was the Bond game, the Double O seven, the Double seven First Life Man one. It is the new one. The new game. But they are doing a Hitman crossover, I guess in Hitman right now they're adding the Shifra. They're doing like a Bond that's Mickelson thing. But the first light was revealed at this the state of play. I don't think it's a PlayStation exclusive, but it looks cool. I love James Bond, you know, so I'll probably check it out. Maybe not day one, but you know, little little sale, Little Sale might pick it up. Oh, it's kind of got like a weird cell shaded. It's a different it's stylized, for sure. It's not really like like realistic, super realistic looking. It might even be look a little bit dated, like it didn't know. They kindly look amazing, but no. Yeah, it's cool. It's got like this cell shaded. It's got like the cell this like thick lining work around the characters and stuff. Does it well sometimes it did. That's weird. Oh it looks good. I think that looks great. Yeah, it looks pretty cool. It's not like super realistic graphics or anything, but I don't think it's. Kind of gives me the Indiana Jones kind of aesthetic a vibe. I think it'll be good. Hopefully it's a good it's a cool story because Bond is always cool story. But yeah, that one, and then what else was there? I mean, you know, Ghost of Yota. They're going to show Ghost of Yota. Yeah, they showed it for two seconds, but it wasn't really anything. Yeah, and they're like, oh, don't worry, we're coming in July for a whole state of play focused. On this really a whole state of play focused on Ghost of Yota. I mean getting Ghost of Yota focused state of play in July. That will be that will reveal more about this much anticipated sequel that is set to debut on August or October second. I mean, we know it's it's gonna be good. Probably I'm on my pat leave during that October second. The first one was going to be good. But I'm not sure if I'm going to play this one right away, maybe even I wait till it comes out on PC. Maybe even I wait. Yeah, I don't. I hate buying PlayStation anymore, to be honest, but you know, we'll see, we'll see probably the only pick up I'll probably pick up. Yeah, I'll buy it. I'll borrow it from you. Yeah, okay, okay, I'll probably get it. Okay, okay, can you can you even get it physical anymore? Yeah? PlayStation? They are still doing physical Xbox good luck. I thought Neo three looked pretty crazy. Yeah, it looked pretty cool game looks. I don't think it's something I would really play though. No, I think it's another one of those souls like games. But the character designs and the enemies looked sweet, and I love me my samurais, you know, But I heard these games are hard as fuck, so I probably won't ever play it. No, I'm not playing it cool, I've never played the other one. So and then Pragmata by Capcom. This is definitely where where this R engine is gonna shine. Are these like story single player story games, not those MMO open world games because this looked unbelievably. What mm open world games are Monster Hunter Wilds. And then they did the open world Dragon's Tagua two that ship itself as well as Monster. So now I'm hoping, you know that, with a little bit more streamlined, single player focused story that they're you know, it'll. I think this is a PS five exclusive as well timed exclusive as well. There's something about Copcom games I just don't I just don't like, and I just. Think all their voice acting in every one of them is just terrible. The voice acting leaves much to be desired. I said in this trailer it's awful. Yeah, I can see that, but just the way, I don't know, if it's the lines, it's very clean and like, do you know what I mean? I mean, yeah, it's it's always very clean, clean designs. Nothing I don't know, I can't the way it moves, I don't know. I have no idea. I can't really articulate what I'm trying to say. Think I know what you're talking, but do you know what I'm trying to say. It's almost like every one of their games. I'm just like, I could tell this is Capcom and I has something and I just don't like it. I just don't like it. I don't remember the last Capcom game I liked, honestly. Mega Man Legends. It's been thirty years. It's been thirty years, But I don't know. It looks cool. I love my Space games, so I'll probably take a little closer look into that. I have a feeling you're gonna get really annoyed by that little girl, oh very quickly. Well, no, I won't be playing it in English. Oh okay, no way, yeah, don't play it english. She was already annoying me in the five in the two minute trailer, I wanted to gouge my eyes out. Oh my god, dude. And then there was Thief VR. It looked beautiful. Yeah you like that? Do you remember the Thieves Man? Me and Daniel played that ship out of Thieff, Thief two, Thief three. Those are like some of the first PC games I was playing whenever I got my first built, like my PC, like Old and Doom three. Yeah, when did the First Thief come out? When's that come out? Ninety eight? Wow? November thirtieth, ninety eight, the very first one, the Dark Project. No, that's not that's not the one we played. We played Dark Shadows, Deadly Shadows, Deadly Shadows two thousand and four. Yeah, exactly. So that's when I built my computer, right. Yeah, that was crazy. Yeah, it's about a yeah, about around when I built my computer, like my Pentium of four amazing, my P four bud hyper threading Technology, a Giga ram bud Garrett Garrett. Yeah, and I got with that computer with my video card. I got Doom three with the video card, the sixty eight hundred GT. The G four sixty eight hundred GT was a sick card. It was like six hundred bucks back then. Dude, for that card. That's crazy. Yeah, that was sick. But yeah, that's all that really jumped out of me. For the PlayStation same, Yeah. I think my bad PS fan boys really like this state of Poe. Yeah. Yeah, for whatever reason. I don't know why. It's because I think like everyone everyone lately has been screaming like, show us something different. They had some few different you know games looked in there, but you know, not my not my cup of tea. These were these were more my my style, and those are the ones that jumped out of me. All right, right, let's have next summer game fest. Oh my god, summer. The amount was fucking. Three days of was it three days? Four days? Yeah, something like that. It ended the Sunday night. It was Thursday afternoon it started. We that's fucking one Thursday, oh, Thursday night, Friday, Saturday. Yeah, like three in a bit days. So like as a as a new dad, I could not like sit every day on YouTube for two hours to watch this thing like Thursday, Friday, Saturday. I didn't. I just watched stuff after. So after it all said and done, there's this one guy who puts out just all the trailers that have been shown throughout the entire thing, and it's like an hour and twenty minutes long of just trailers, like what back to back to back? Oh, like the full trailers. Yeah, yeah, all the trailers. I just watched like an abridged version of quick clips of all of the games. So just to refresh my memory of the ones that I saw, and then anyones that looked cool. I just went and watched the trailer. Oh okay, the full trailer of that one, because I did watch it. Originally I didn't. I just wrote down the name kind of thing. Yeah, So first one that jumped out of me was right at the beginning. Man, that Mortal Shell too. Oh my god, looks so fucking sweet. I bought the I bought the first one, and I kept trying to play it, but so fucking hard. Had I liked what I was playing, but I was so hard I had to put it down. I was like, I can't play this game. I'm hoping the next one will be a little bit more accessible, you know, just a little bit more, But man, this one looks like it's. Stop with those games. It's like Doom meets Souls, Like, oh man, yeah, the style and the guy like your character. He looks so angry and he's just punching those guys in the face with the tongue. He's like the chin, he's like grabbing the guy's change, feeding it angry. Oh yeah, man, he's so pissed off. It's like, yeah, it was like Doom and it's just fucking it looked really good. So super pumped for that one. I'm hoping they make it just a easier for me, a tatt easier. What do you what do you got? What do I have for Summer games? Fast? Summer Games Fest? I haven't played the first one, okay, but they showed Atomic Card too, and it looked really fucking cool. Yes, yes, it looks. Sick and I wanted to play the first one. I wanted to play for a long time. I had it on my seam wish list, come close to pulling the trigger a couple of times. Yeah, it goes on sale all the time, but now I think I will because I saw the trailer for this one and it looks really fucking good. Yeah. I mean. It just looks super clean. Yeah yeah, super clean, looks fun and I guess it's supposed to be more more of an open world too. I think they said or like a oh, the grappling hook too. There looks like there's different like ecosystems on the cube and stuff, and it like moves around super cool, like these monsters the wall running man look at it looks really good and it looks a lot like Atomic Cart. I actually thought like it was those those are the same two fucking robots in Atomic Art. So maybe this is like the Atomic Art live service kind of game. Maybe is that what this is? I mean, put me in there, coach. That's pretty cool. Yeah, but yeah, it looks those are literally the same characters as as showed in the Atomic Art two trailer, So it must be like maybe it's like the same kind of world. But it's like this is be their their destiny, their live service. That would be pretty cool, really cool. Yeah, I would check it out. I'm gonna check it out for sure. Interested in that one. Okay, so what happened was it was a bit of a shit show because what happened was so the devs had like this countdown that they were showing and they kept dropping like little easter eggs, and there was like a picture of this rooster. I guess that Summer Games Fest tweeted out and it was like a rooster on stage, And I guess a rooster is an Arc Raiders reference, because there's some rooster thing at the beginning of the game. So everyone was like, oh, that's a sign, it's a sign they're gonna do something. They're gonna do something. So the whole like the reddit subreddit was was going crazy the days leading up, like they thought they were going to release the game for they thought they were gonna give like drop something surprise, drop like what at least a beta, like a very least a beta because of all these things they were doing. Then all they did was release a cinematic trailer not even like anything. It was completely cinematic, so nothing really new, too new anyway, and then they give a release date in October end of October, and everyone was fucking pissed, like they were fissed, and then the developers publicly apologized because of all the all the stuff that was happening online, people were going fucking crazy, like they thought the game was ready. They had a countdown, They had a count down to. The counting down to a trailer, really. Like trailer that they've already shown that was already online. Was it? Sure? Know if it was exactly the same trailer, man, like what are you doing? Could be so like tone deaf read the room read the room man, But yeah, I mean I want this game. I want this game. I want to play it. It looks fucking sweet. This is is it? Push Square is a P five channel? Yea true push Square that's cool. Yeah even on it's an Unreal Engine five and apparently runs well. Like I've watched a bunch of content on it, like people playing it, streamers that played it, and it it looks like they had an absolute blast, like playing either Solo and apparently Solo is super fun too, which is really important. So that's really good. Another thing that happened though with IGN they gave a brutal like preview like Scott Yeah of Dark Raders. Like I said, I've been watching a lot of content, lots of videos on it, and I saw this a couple of weeks ago. IGN released a preview video for it, and this guy who was doing this fucking thing like he was ripping it. And I looked it up later online and people thought that they were like this was like a hit piece. They were doing it on purpose, like IGN was purposely trying to like downplay this game and making it look bad. It's probably not true, it's probably just incompetence, really, but the guy capturing the gameplay looked like he had the game on fucking low settings, like he was playing it in low. It was choppy, it looked like shit, and the video was a ten eightp like blurry mess. And this is IGN, man, this is IGN covering one of the more anticipated games, and they fucking do this, Like what are you doing? This game looks amazing. Look how good it looks in this video, and this guy is fucking playing it at like low settings on it looked like it was on a Steam deck or something. It was so weird, like, go, it's so fucking. Strange, man, because maybe because they wouldn't give him like a certain access to. I don't know, but like if you clicked on the wheel, like on the YouTube wheel and check the settings. The guy uploaded it at ten ADP fifty fps. Guy, yeah, that's what the video was uploaded at. I'm like, who even in codes in fifty fps? Like, what the fuck is this? And this is this is a nineteen million subscriber channel doing this. Yeah, he's got got this man playing it on a Steam deck or something. Oh thank god. Anyway, the guy kept trying to compare it to Fortnite for some reason I don't like. He was multiple multiple times mentioned Fortnite because you start with a pickack, I guess, and he thought that was like a Fortnite ripoff just because you start with a fucking like hammer or a pick axe. And he said that the maps have a daisy paint of coat on Fortnite, Like what does that even mean? This guy who did this video his name was Jared Petty. I'm not saying that at all. Maybe the fort Maybe Fortnite is like the only game he had, like the only shooter game he ever played. So it didn't show much of it, but no, but what they did show also was just it was just from the other game. I think a lot of the stuff. A lot of this stuff except for like the last two seconds of the. Yeah, exactly, So a lot of all this stuff is from the ax. I'm assuming. No, there's gonna be like a quest to pick up in one of the hubs, towns or cities or maybe from our our pope friend and then we take then we take it from there. Yeah, I mean, I have faith that it's going to be a good quest line, like because there were a couple of quests in the game that I really liked that were more of like that typical Indiana Jones style thing, rather than you know, going to find twenty five medicines and all that kind of side busy work stuff. Actual like a little bit of a story side quest. So I'm hoping it's like just a bigger one of those. That would be sweet. From what it looks like, I think it might be, and I'll have more to do with the giants, and they played a bit of a role in the game. Obviously towards the end of the game it was sick. Yep, definitely sick. Yeah, I'm definitely gonna play that. When's that come out? The fucking Giants? You could just fight a bunch of giants September fourth. Next, I had oh, the Blonde of the Blood of the dawn Walker, which was like vampires meet Witcher's three. Yes, right here, that looks sick. When I first saw the the revealed trailer, I think it was last the last big showcase, so I think the guy the team that's making this is x CD Project Red guy people. Oh really. Yeah, who worked on which of three? So there's quite the similarities here. Oh yeah, the cinematics looks crazy. So like you're you get turned by this vampire guy, but you're really fighting the urge to like be like them, so then you start hunting them. I think something like that. But man, it looks so you're a vampire vampire hunter. Well vampire hunter, I don't think, but like you're you've been turned by that. This is the old disgusting looking guy and they're trying to get you to do like their kind of thing, but you kind of stop listening to them and kind of go against them. But man, looks it looks it looks cool. It looks cool for sure. About Lockwork Revolution, yes, like they showed a huge this looked amazing. They showed a huge video of Clockwork Revolution. It was pretty It was a pretty long trailer. It was like five minutes. Here. This really good. Again, it's really steampunky. Steam punky, wild West Western style steam punk. Yeah, last Summer Games Fest, I think they showed they a little bit last Xbox like a year ago. It was it was revealed. But this is wait, this is a big trailer, Like this is their their big trailer. It looks funny, like there's lots of dialogue that looks funny and these weird little fucking this muppet guy pissed off doll. The weapons look cool. You can customize your weapons. It showed like a bunch of a bunch of the weapon customizations you can build and stuff that looked pretty cool. Lots of dialogue options. Yeah, very stylized. To man, this looks sick actually really really really good. Upplay this uplay game pass. It's going to be a pass, So rent the game pass. Yeah, this is not a not a hard decision to make to play. It looks really like it looks brutal too, like some hard decisions shooting people in the head. Oh you think some of it's gonna be like decision making and stuff. I think so. I think so because later on the main character he's like shooting people in the head, like they're like begging him not to shoot him in it, and then you have like the choice to shoot him in the head. But yeah, this one looks very well polished, very well crafted. I think this is going. To be really nice. Next up on the docket, what do you. Got the new Dawn? Remember that one. This is another one that they they showed I don't know where it was in a previous within the last year, but it was very short, was very short. There was like an old lady. They were playing chess. Yeah yeah, yeah, with the with the space dude just paying playing chess. They showed actual gameplay with it, and it looks. It was very intriguing though. I was really intrigued because I like the time travel. There's something to do with time travel or time something. Something's going on here. Look at that X ray the skulls or mutants. Mutants, Yeah, there's definitely mutations, but why what happened? I want to know what happened? You know, I'm. Getting like super like doom vibes. Their horror game. Man, we're not playing these horror games. We're not gonna end up playing these horror games. I'm telling we're not. We're not gonna playing that. Game pass, WTF, I said, game freak, WTF, WTF, game Freak. Another one I had was a Felion. Felion, but I don't know what the hell it was about. It just was a girl running around this strange planet. And you don't remember this? Did you not see this? It looks fucking cool. It's just this girl she crashed lands on this planet and it just shows her running around the planet, like the environments look really good, and she crashed her spaceship. You have to traverse the land and there's no Yeah, there's no like monsters or anything from what I saw, but it looks epic. I just don't know what the story is, like, what it's about. I was just trying to get off this planet and it looks fucking cool. Fix her ship, yeah, fix her ship. Maybe fix her ship and get out traverse through this other ship. But you like if you look at her or like her face and her character, it kind of looks a little cartoony, like not super realistic, but the but the environments look really realistic. So they definitely put more focus into the kind of like the environment. Yeah, definitely looks like a survival you're trying to get out a felion. Cool. Yeah, you're gonna be playing at lower end like settings and stuff. But they're not. It's not gonna change how they're gonna develop the games like they're like they do now, you know what I mean. I guess that's true. That is true. That's a good point. Yeah, right, yeah, okay. They're just gonna develop the game and then release the game and then, well, how's that different from whether you're playing it? Because I guess that's true because now you have to consider yes, a series console. Yes yeah, yeah, that doesn't have like Windows and ship on it. Right, So I think they're testing in this. I think they're testing how it's gonna handle with these ones. Right, So they're gonna release the game. You're gonna be able to play it both on PC, Xbox right or Xbox PC whatever the hell they're branding it now. But you're gonna be able to play the game how you want to play it on these handhelds, either shitty or nice, right, depending on how much money you have. But it's not gonna stop them from building that game and getting it out. How they're crippled by the series s right now, So that I think that's I think it's a bit different for this here. Well, I think this will this will test the waters with that though, because they're What Microsoft might do is get developers to kind of develop with these in mind. Right, They're obviously going to develop with these in mind because it's not a PC game. It is a PC technically, right, and it's a PC game, but this is a specific set of hardware that PC developers can target, you know, Yeah, they're going to be well, take the steam Deck for instance, exactly, they have Steam decks certified, whatever works on Steam Deck. All that all that is is like low settings on everything, I know. But it is the developers specifically making a configuration for a specific set of hardware, which is good. M hmm. Yeah. Now speaking of the hardware, though, I have this this pull I pulled this video in the video, but this picture from this table from video cards dot Com, and I got all the specs here, okay, and the ally X looks really good, like the specs on it, comparing it to what is currently on the market, like my Legion go yeah, Legion, go rog ally like the Steam Deck. This thing is fucking It's a beast. It's a beast. It's a beast. This thing has the z t AI it's a brand new from AMD Z to AI Extreme processor, which is their new mobile style APU. I believe this is the first device it will be featured in. It will have twenty four gigs of DDR five eight thousand memory, and the the lower version, the lower model, the Xbox ally will have the rise in z to a processor and sixteen gigs of DDR five sixty four hundred. Now, if we look at the actual processors. I check this out and there's a table from video cards dot Com and from what I can tell, the ally X is going to be like way more powerful than the other one, like the lower one, like the Z two AI Extreme is their top. It's like their top. It's the top one. Now I did the quick search and the I don't know if it's the AI version because there is like it is. I saw it, Okay, So so yeah, so the one the AI, there's the Z two AI Extreme, Yeah, and there's two yeah, I think also Z two Extreme. Yes, there's a two AI Extreme, but it is the AI that's going to be in the Xbox. Yes, okay, So then I tried to do some searching and I could only find that these Z two Extreme, not the AI Extreme is going to be in the new m s I claw A eight, the Asis rog Ally two and the Lenovo Legion go to the Z two Extreme. I don't know if it's the Z two AI Extreme. Okay, Well they might have reserved that for just this maybe, like it's possible maybe that with this partnership with Microsoft, they said, okay, we'll give us the give us the AI one because it's your top one and it uses sixteen rDNA three point five GPU cores, which is the air. rDNA three point five is like their mobile architecture on these APUs. So don't think of that like it being better than RDA three rDNA three, which would be like our cards A seven thousand series graphics cards, because it's not it's obviously not going to be as good as those, even though it's a higher number. rDNA three point five. It's just what they call their mobile architecture. But the CPU it uses is eight core Zen five CPU, which is what the rise In nine thousand series is, So that's a good CPU. Like, the CPU is pretty good to compare it to the Z two A, the one in the lower rug ally that will use eight cores of rDNA two graphics, which is the six thousand series GPUs, so that is kind of older. So it's definitely not going to be as good as as I think the already an A three point five is. But the CPU itself, guess what CPU they're using in it. It's a Zen two, the Zen two. It's from twenty nineteen. No, that's the three thousand series. So it's the same thing that's in the PS five, is right, is the Zen two. That's the AIM that's the the first one, the lower end model. Yeah, the lower end rog the rog GLLY. So it's using basically a rise In three thousand series CPU. So like I think, like just looking at the specs, like the X is going to be way better, like way more powerful, So I wonder how much more it's going to actually cost than the other one. It's gonna be like a thousand USD. It's gonna be expensive, yeah the whole fuck, yeah it is. But it's gonna be a beast like this is probably the best. Like this is the best. There's nothing better than this right now, you know what I mean? Yeah, like in terms of in terms of the handheld, like this is going to be a really powerful machine. This is really nice. It's just really cool hooked up to your TV. Yeah, yeah, that's another thing. This is probably good enough to just play on the on the TV at ten ADP. What you might get medium, medium settings, high settings maybe now. So, so this is where we go into the OS that it's kind of running and it's got some like slim down Windows eleven. It is Windows eleven. It's just a it's just a wrapped or like a box wrapped app. Yeah. Within this app you can launch your other the other storefronts like Epic and Steam. So this is giving us, this is giving us an insight on what they're going to do for the next Xbox. Exactly exactly we've been saying. Exactly as we've been saying. But what I don't know is if because I have when I play on my Legion Go, I always use the app called Lossless Scaling, which is like a it's an upscaler for all the all Steam games. It's compatible with all Steam games. So it has FSR, it has XCSS, it has all this shit, has framed gen, has everything. So if you want to play a game on your handheld device, you launch this game or you launch this app on Steam, and then you launch the game you want to play. Launch that game in window mode at like a lower resolution, let's say eight hundred P, and then it upscales to the native resolution of the legion go and it full screens it. Okay, so you're upscaling to a smaller display so it looks better. Yeah, you know what I mean. It's easier to look better. Yeah, on a smaller display exactly. So I'm like, I'm playing Night Rain, right, I'd like thirty It's like thirty fps on medium. I can get sixty fps on low. But I launched the game an eight hundred P and then I use lossless Scaling to FSR, upscale it to full screen and get my and get my frames that way, and it runs beautifully and it looks good for like a handheld. So I run all my games using lossless scaling. So I don't know if you'll be able to do that kind of thing, because in Windows I can easily just mod my games, do all my stuff because it's got Windows on it, you know what I mean, And I can fool around with Windows. I don't know what to what to what extent you can go and bace around. In settings and all that. Yeah, I think you should be able to. You should be able to. Oh maybe they'd lock it, no, because it can't lock it based on I guess you could, because. I don't kind of be able. There's some kind of hardware signature that you have that hardware, then it installs a certain version. It's probably versionized. Yeah, I don't know if you're gonna be able to get out of that Xbox uh like launch app. Thing, it'll probably be versionized so that you can't change any settings. Maybe like a sixty in a like a fidelity and. Uh yeah, ergonomics looks pretty good compared to all the other ones. It's gonna be big. It'll be big. Yeah, it's big. It's gonna be big, especially with those handles, but it's gonna be definitely more comfortable than like the Rock ally the normal one. Which is just kind of like square edges. Yeah, the same as Legion goes kind of square edged. Yeah, this looks actually comfortable. It's gonna be good. It's gonna be good. It's gonna be really good. Damn. I would never spend that much money on it, though, I would just get a PC. But a PC, but I would just get it. I just get you might not be able to know, you might not be able to buy to build a PC. That's that good for a thousand dollars. So you're saying I don't think you can. I don't think good. I think you good. Let's do it. But you also could that Also, you don't need a monitor. For well, it's handheld, you bring it with you and all that. Yeah, you don't need a monitor for it. You could use it on your TV already, you don't need I guess you could do that with a PC. Technically. I do love having I do love having the Lesion go on the couch when Alma's like watching her shows and I'll just boot up the Legion go and play on the Leasion. Go. It's fantastic, it's fucking awesome. It is so good, And then I can stream play my computer from upstairs. I can stream play my PS five. It's all there. It's all there, my fingertips with the Legion Go. And I love my Legion. I think it's still got like another year or so and it's life before. I can't run anything, and I can't lostless scale like newly launched games. But it's it's really good. It's a good machine. It's a good machine. But again, if I had to choose between this Xbox handheld and a switch too, you know, I'd have to go with switch too, because I want to play the Marian Zelda games. Yeah, but those are the only things you're gonna play on that. Yeah, you know what I mean. And you know what I never I never travel with my Allegion Go. Like I'm always going, like bringing it to like Mexico with such a pain ask because of how massive it is. It's fucking huge. It's huge, and I'm like, I'm not I'm the Dragon is to the beach. It's crazy fucking thing on the beach. It's over eating like crazy. Oh yeah yeah. So the only real use I get is when I'm on the couch or I'm in bed, right, that's the only real mobile that I'm that I'm using it for I'm not taking it on trips, like I'll just use my phone. I'll play phone games. Is this the picture? Yes? Here, let me share this. Yeah, the AI ZI to Extreme. So we got the AI zaid too Extreme. That's the top one. It's brand new. It is the same as the AI Sorry, it's the same as the Z two Extreme, but it has fifty AI tops whatever that is. So it has an AI chip on it. So it's gonna get some nice AI upscaling going on. Yeah. So what I was thinking is eventually when they may, they say they're trying to bring FSR four to rDNA three and rDNA three point five. So if that is the case, this will be really good for that. Yeah, like this could be so good because f SR four is as good as d LSS for upscaling. And if to have that on handheld like handheld PC, like, that's sick. It's sweet. And here's the other one showing the specs. Twenty four gigabytes. Fuck twenty four gigs of fast DDR five. I don't know what the latency is, I wonder, but even the even the DR five sixty four hundred, that's what I have in my PC. That's nuts. The screen is the same one hundred and twenty hrtz ten ADP five hundred nits bright. The CPU, the CPU will share or borrow the RAM, right, that's how it works because it's an APU. Yeah right now. Yeah, so the the twenty four gigs is huge for that. Yeah, that's like it's gonna be huge because it's gonna you're sharing system RAM with v RAM. Obviously you're gonna want wait more than sixteen, like you're gonna get eight and eight right probably, and where this one you could get eight and sixteen. If I was a millionaire, you know, this would be nothing to me. I was a. Millionaire, it's gonna be really good. I as soon as I saw these specs, I'm like, dude, that's gonna be one sick. It's gonna be sick. No, I don't handheld the game. You will once you get once you if you get it, you will on the couch. I never ever used my switch. Can land with it. You go to someone's house and land party, just bring your raw alley. Bring my monitor. No, I don't want to be a land party looking like this my neck. Yeah, I would be lying on my back, eating pizza, pouring beerd in my mouth, just frog Alley in front of me. Anyway. Uh, let's wrap that up. That looks sick.
