[00:01:20] Every one's day we do our topic of the week which could be usually game reviews but sometimes it gets furry out of his comfort zone to talk about maybe why do games have cookbooks and play little games.

[00:01:32] But every Friday as season three kicks off, I've deemed it furry Friday where he leads us through the news and rumors and he hates it but I love it. I like it too. I like it. I like it. I get fruit talk and get him going.

[00:01:47] This is great. Thanks for your help. I love it. I got a hype up the only man in my life for me. So last year, remember you guys sharing some pretty good statistics you had there on Twitter celebrating the little growth of your show.

[00:02:05] Congratulations. Is there any particular milestone that you guys are pretty surprised or proud that happened last year for you? There was one crazy week that we had over a thousand downloads and we could really work out very, very awesome. Nice wild.

[00:02:20] December of last year was insane and every day for like a one week period. Like he said it was just like okay, like he made a spreadsheet. He's like let's track this. Let's try to figure it out. Yeah, it's good. Where is it?

[00:02:33] Well Nate had the pleasure of popping on your show for your episode about nothing. What was that about? We did games we missed out on in 2022. I just want to thank you guys again for having me on there. It was a blast and we're getting you on here.

[00:03:27] There's a lot of people. And then live on day was complaining that all podcasts were being cancelled, which she listened to. And was wine in about making a room. So what's holding us should open just do it. So that's how we got started.

[00:03:43] Yeah, and it's funny because I was complaining about basketball podcast. Then for you to start one and I was like, what do you mean? And now we talk about video games in my basketball podcasts of all like rebranding. Did you start off by talking about basketball games? Nope.

[00:04:00] Like NBA, NBA, Jam. From down to. He's a football person soccer person. I am basketball. Okay. But isn't really a France fan? What? Almost for the euro. Yeah. Yeah. He's a Brit that hates France. He's a Brit, but he's a Brit. He's a Brit.

[00:04:26] So you're not winning an international play, so it is. Yeah. It's been mixed. He's got a half Scottish half English and I saw him over the Scottish family. So I need some England play. Oh, they've got a lose.

[00:04:38] Yeah, it's really, it's really too bad that we kicked England's ass in the euro's there. That was like the finals. It helped us a lot. That was long time ago. Yeah. And then didn't qualify for World Basket School. Anyway.

[00:04:50] So do you guys travel respectfully to each other's locations often? What's the story there? Have you ever been over here for me and live you've gone over there, I believe? Yeah. Because of Furi, I've met my girlfriend. So I go over there quite often.

[00:05:04] And then I always make Furi hang out with me when I'm over there. Like obviously, and I said you're not too busy for me, sir. I'm not going over there. Oh, no. Okay. You haven't come over yet. Oh, well. I'm sure it's coming. That's for sure.

[00:05:19] Well, speaking of traveling though, guys, speaking of traveling wouldn't it be nice to stay in this hotel room every time you travel? Room 24 25 at the Hilton in Panama. Get this has a beautiful view of the beach down below. But who cares about that?

[00:05:36] Because this room is the Alienware Hotel Room. Oh. Where you have access to a 65 inch OLED TV hooked up to an Alienware PC. An Oculus Rift VR system. It has Xbox One Elite controllers, a racing chair on a little platform. Do you say this is in Panama?

[00:06:00] Yes, in Panama of all places. Pam's dad sent me this on Instagram. So I thought I'd included in the show I'd bring it up here. Okay. All right. There's a desk with an Alienware gaming laptop connected to a 34 inch ultra wide monitor.

[00:06:16] It has RGB interactive room lighting everywhere. The beds have Alienware pillows on them. And the shower has Alienware, like, de just also just the one room in this hotel. Yeah, I guess so. There you go. That's where you can stay when you come on.

[00:06:33] I was like, you did it. Yeah, in Panama more to Panama. Come on over to Google this room. It's crazy. It's like, I remember like, everywhere I go when I travel. It's like, this, like, they don't even have TV. Like I can't even watch anything.

[00:06:46] Yeah, it's like the bring like a Chromecast or something. But if you Google this Alienware hotel room, it's pretty sweet. Like, this would be the perfect hotel room. Wow. Do not enjoy the nice, uh, seats, scenes of Panama. Yeah, like, I don't think you'd ever leave though.

[00:07:05] Tell them. Oh, they have Alienware tissue boxes. Yeah. It's perfect. I had to Google it afterwards. That's what they say. And that's what they say. A lot of people will travel in the hotel rooms just to stay in the hotel rooms. It's like, especially now, during the pandemic.

[00:07:26] Yeah, or not now. Before. I had a question. I had a question for Fru, actually, based, uh, because we were on the England thing. But I'm going to go in a limb here. I'm just going to take a guess of stab at this.

[00:07:39] Based on your accent, Fru, are you from Manchester? I'm not, no. Damn it. I thought I'd try to. I have a body in Manchester and all train of those sounds, uh, identical. So I thought I, I thought I'd try my chances. You failed. All right.

[00:08:01] Let's move on to our main questions that we ask. Every one of our guests. What is your earliest gaming memory? earliest. Whoever wants to go first, earliest gaming memory. I think my earliest gaming memory is when my, my neighbor introduced me to the Sims and back then,

[00:08:24] like you could just like trade disks and you didn't really need all the disks to play. I feel like I really contributed to why you have to like buy Sims games on your own computer now. Because I didn't buy my own Sims game. Until like Sims 3.

[00:08:40] And it's because my neighbor who was older than me, she would buy the games and then bring them to my house. And she's like, you could have this one. I had everything. So I really contributed to that. Wow. I feel like. Nice. Was that for PC? Yeah.

[00:08:55] I've been playing the Sims since the Sims existed. Yeah. I remember playing number one like with having my body long time ago. No, it's not hours. Yeah, Sims is a really a group activity. Yeah. Yeah, it's weird. I played the Sims 4. I lost our Sims 3.

[00:09:16] I think it was, yeah, Sims 3. So much. For you, I bought your earliest gaming memory. And probably Resident Evil 1. My mom and my sister had gone out for the days. Her is being my dad little game day. He just picked it up.

[00:09:34] We just made a hot drink and then he tried to walk out the door. But they stopped. Where the head comes on the corner, so both of course went everywhere. That was really good. She's on fire. So far in some sort. Wow. Okay. Cool.

[00:09:52] That's that's good to know. Two wildly different gaming experiences for the first Sims. And Resident Evil. I like it. And okay, what about your top three favorite games each? Of all time. Bar none. Beaver games. In order. It doesn't need to be. Whatever you know.

[00:10:12] This is not hard. I have a lot of love in my heart. I don't know what we're going to like. You're in a butter. You're in a fucking demon. Mass Effect 2. Halo 2. And I will throw in. Geese of war. Oh, what? No Resident Evil in there. No.

[00:10:34] Oh wow. That was going to be Resident Evil in there. Some are a silent hill. Mass Effect 2. I'm going to go with franchises. I'm going to go with franchises. The last of us franchise. Because I think it's going to be a third game. Freak. Shut the fuck up.

[00:11:07] So the last of us I'm going to. The Sims. And even all play like in binages. But it's like a game that's like always there. And the third one's so tough. I have somebody in games I want to choose, but I'll say the uncharted franchise. Oh nice choice.

[00:11:23] Nice. I'm charted for. So fucking good. It was. I think I think uncharted 2 is my favorite. Oh, OK. But uncharted 4 is like right there. So good. So good. I only played actually only played for but

[00:11:39] It's one of my it's one of my favorite games of all time though, and I only played for I joke into this year's yeah Two was awesome. I remember jumping into the series at two. I didn't even play number one. I jumped in It's really cheesy, but like

[00:11:52] It's like really cheesy, but you gotta I love playing I played two and I could not put that controller down again. It was like non-stop That's what I was like for four like for so so good

[00:12:07] I just wanted to know what happened next and I just could not put the control in and that does not happen a lot when I play games like what you should play last maybe God of war God of war was the last like the next game after that

[00:12:22] But then actually That happened to me, but yeah, I'm trying to force you to get the last of us remake play it Yesterday I in that photo mode Yeah, hell yeah, of course Have you did you get that you do? No, not yet

[00:12:46] I've played it three and then PS3 I Like left it for years. I was gonna pick up the remake and I was like Another 90 bucks because didn't something come out at the end of the same time and I kind of just shut up I think so

[00:13:04] It wouldn't surprise them. It's a lot of releases like you're saving time You're saving for the VR oh, yes Yes VR too Yeah, maybe they'll make a last of us in PSVR I mean terrifying Like alien isolation

[00:13:19] She'll then yeah, that'd be ridiculous. I didn't play too. I've not played last this two yet I don't know I just kind of flipped through my fingers by played one and I loved it as I've watching a movie

[00:13:29] Yeah, absolutely should play part two don't listen. Yeah, I know it's on the list Sheaches is sheaches is it all right, but then I think you have a A little game for us play here. Let me pull it up. I guess the character a drawing

[00:15:58] Think a new and excited I just finished a playtail wreck way of last night. Oh, and oh, no, I thought the game was so good for the whole jury cool But then the ending felt really flat for me and I was like that's a bit

[00:16:10] Don't I played the first one it was good. I really enjoyed it actually I didn't expect much from it But it was really good It's on this one first The story is so good in this second game and like I kind of knew how the game was going

[00:16:24] But I felt like they did it so Quickly and abrupt and I feel like it really just missed the mark for me, but still they gave it's really good I hate when people when games do that

[00:16:34] Like when it goes too quick even movies when they move like this seems like it's moving really quick And like and I just like kind of skips over things that probably could have been there Yeah, we would about you

[00:16:45] We finished evil west and wish I hadn't even started that I can't remember Evil West I This is live so yeah it's uh, I told you with super average Yeah, I didn't pitch it very well She told you to do not deploy it

[00:17:06] Yeah, but then the stuff she tells me to put it all so I think the same stuff there you go Yeah, sorry I thought it was for two again It's like you recover boy and it's like vampires you hunt but there's very little

[00:17:20] What you know as a vampire in it so you that and the end is terrible and they really think they're gonna get second game out of it So they were and they should But you went through it all you made it through that

[00:18:47] Downloaded it and I played for an hour so I beat the first boss. I was like, okay, this is okay I feel like everyone in the discord server really really I've said off and I'm just like Like a rhythm shooter game that I've played recent

[00:19:02] I think this came out last fall but metal hell singer that games awesome the music and I gave so awesome Yeah, okay, I got a question so That I think that's still on game pass, but um, yeah, I believe it like

[00:19:14] I feel like metal music gets a must fly The replay ability is like if you just want to like beat that your time I think they added like collectibles, but they don't really do anything for you

[00:19:26] But I really I just think the music's really fun and the thing with high five rush is like it's so Dialogue so gimmicky like it's just so like I just like it's really Bad

[00:19:40] It's like the game plays are good enough for me to like what I listen to chai talk I think I think because my low part of High five rush was the music The music didn't really hit for me and I was waiting

[00:19:55] I played through the whole game and I was waiting for it to really get me going in there like were metal heads on this side so it was kind of like really Not engaging the music wasn't super engaging, but I loved everything else about the game

[00:20:10] But it's just I can rhythm game you know what I mean like I was expecting some like metal Housinger made my shoulder hurt. I was flicking around so much like yeah this game was just kind of like okay

[00:20:21] I just have to click yeah, I was like the else people play so I like didn't do very well in metal Hell singer, but I was just like this concert is awesome

[00:20:30] I'm not the metal. I was not the metal head brother out of the three of us. I definitely Yeah, like I have my favorite songs that I was in two through high school But like the metal genre I just can't listen to recreationally. I just can't do it

[00:20:41] So I'm not like jumping at the opportunity to play metal house singer I don't know Well, see you should I think you should it's cool. I played it in the hardest difficulty to start those so it was kind of like

[00:20:56] They just threw through me and there was like oh shit. This is crazy. Yeah, and I was like finding myself Like I needed to you know beat

[00:21:07] I needed to get the the score that I kind of thought I you know what I mean like thought I need to do because and I would like redo it It's like now that wasn't good enough. That wasn't good I'm like on hard. I can't

[00:21:17] Yeah, yeah, so you're replaying levels Because you want it But then I was like fucking up this beat the game Yeah, I'm a normal guy. I'm a normal guy Unless it's a Witcher 3 when rhythm games under which I'm free

[00:21:30] I go crank it up on the rhythm games same with high-five rush. I was like, yep Maximum difficulty let's go and it's still literally didn't engage me that much even on the highest difficulty We asked for me. That what were you playing? Yes, we asked yeah

[00:21:46] Even West and that's like a West High five rush. What's that there's another one called wild west something West weird West weird West That's what I thought I was gonna. Yeah, I tried that out. That's interesting

[00:21:57] I think I'd pick it back up. I was playing it when I was over in England while my girlfriend was working I was like, oh how worked to do I'm gonna play a weird West? Oh you didn't go choose go over to a fruit place

[00:22:07] Tresh is play school in there hang out. No, I'm really can't tolerate me for a long hour You can go back to America Get out of my country You came from Nathaniel mentioned an episode of yours about a baby Jeremy From the Sims what is this?

[00:22:32] Because I was trying to find the episode to show them and I think oh yes I think it's a clip from our video games for beginners We've said that this is like a good video game for beginners, but I have a lot of tragic tales from the Sims

[00:22:46] This is quite really strikes in her with me that it hurts so bad that I've never named a sim jerry ever again And this happened about 15 years ago. So I have as you can see I'm coping with it really well

[00:22:56] But um and Sims 2 you used to have butlers So I had a butler and There if they would come at eight in the morning they leave at 8 p.m Well it's 7.58. He's feeding baby Jeremy

[00:23:10] It takes a long time do things in Sims so at 8 o'clock he's still feeding Jeremy He walks out the door he's he's walking down the stairs and it's like Stop a cancel action and I'm trying to interact with the

[00:23:23] I think in the beginning yeah, it's a whole game I keep it like stop it stop it and I try it keeps canceling it walks out the door Okay, well maybe he'll come back with Jeremy in the morning He doesn't And I was like

[00:23:43] I had to like deal with this as like what I was like 11 so I was like okay So let's just like so I was like maybe you couldn't find someone to love or he was in fertile

[00:23:53] And he was like oh I really love Jeremy so I think I really hope deep down the baby Jeremy from the Sims 2 We've been very full life with his father. I fired wow

[00:24:03] You know who he is you know who it is Jeremy is Batman he's he came to earth He came and that was wild he just became a butler and still other people Yeah, the beginning of a child stealing butler Rift Jeremy

[00:24:25] So he came back to work in the next morning without my child so I fired him Like I'm more into the police of the Sims He's gone he won I lost there. Oh, I can't

[00:24:39] This was Sims 2 can you can you report people to the police now in the newer games? No We awesome You can't rest that man you do I'm just go home Wow my god this money that is horrifying but hilarious I'm a Jeremy All right well I think

[00:25:51] It's like yeah, is that your brother? That's like I think so and I looked at them app but just like you can see the little node the character nodes like a nasty Nate throw I was next to each other. It's like what the fuck yeah

[00:26:03] Like I appeared I appeared on throw those though. I didn't like appear in the forest and then like Recycle yeah, it was just like you Lops cuz you like joined his game I guess But it doesn't tell you that you on top of you join

[00:26:15] It just you just show up in the game and then you tell your friend over to comms. I'm here So this is telling you which is funny so you sort of maybe done it No, I don't have a pp yourself You started doing it That is

[00:26:33] But also I jump back into Diablo 2 resurrected because threw me made me And then Then because I listened to their other Their other episode there and I think but you downloaded you started playing in your you're gonna play it soon

[00:26:49] Or something like that yeah, so I'm about to do this. Yeah, and then I was like oh I'm kind of anchored in front of Diablo so I jumped in and I played a bit of that Man you sound like absolutely

[00:27:01] Because I'm like I'm like pushing my voice out And it's really like difficult to get the sound out. I think that's why my microphone is like red lining I also started playing I don't know how to say the name Dorymon Doremon. Oh, yeah, story of seasons

[00:27:18] How do you like that? I played like a Two hours of it but they look pretty cool. It's the artwork is so nice and it fits in with what we were

[00:27:27] What we're talking about today and I really liked it the music is really nice the artworks really nice I don't like how I can't make my own character, but I'll get over that. I think All of that's interesting That's it

[00:27:41] Dan Dan you just been playing follow it. It's been yeah, it's been followed 76 is kind of I didn't expect that I kind of just jump right in because our our buddy Jax or 21 shout out Jaxter he's been waiting for shout out forever

[00:27:55] Jaxter Jaxter 21 he was like guys you got it down though 76. I've just been playing it in like with it's really cool So it's like okay, so I downloaded it and it's like like a lot

[00:28:06] Well, that's the thing that's the thing it the first impressions. I've played a handful of sessions now for multiple hours And I wasn't expecting to enjoy myself as much as I am but it seems the game seems to have come a long way since that alleged flop

[00:28:22] There was some YouTube video like if in sing some damning evidence Disploying the game in like terrible shapes like like bugs glitches all these horrible things going on and I'd see none of that The it looks great. It plays great

[00:28:40] Again, I'm on series X. I don't know about performance on other consoles though The game's 30 fps isn't horrible either like it's totally playable it feels like it Bethesda game The weapons feel like sensational on your shooting guns like The sound is really feels and sounds great. Yeah, so

[00:28:57] Everything in there man like the that's that feels like the Bethesda quest that you do all the time

[00:29:01] You know go look for these people they're lost in this mine or all that stuff which I love and you collect literally everything you can find like kind of like what Do you try lore books how many lore books? Can you find in

[00:29:11] Actually I've seen any because like There are all of scenes of our like burned textbooks because it's all just nuclear wasteland But you can't read So yeah, you collect like everything you can find because you can just scrap everything and build things and

[00:29:28] Mod weapons and repair weapons and armor with everything you find you can just scrap it you build There's like a base building mechanic just like no man sky Which is really cool but everything is super You know like futuristic Retro because it's like 1940s very 1950s

[00:29:46] 40s 50s kind of like West Virginia in the future very weird as you might know But it's it's really sweet. It's like what Daisy tried to do I feel like but this didn't wait better and Daisy is just like Daisy I'm not like yeah, see I've returned that

[00:30:00] No, it's not great like it was cool as a novelty with what you bought Daisy You bought Daisy I returned it though and returned it Wow We've been playing Daisy since like it was in like early alpha

[00:30:12] Yeah, like alpha what's it in now? I actually I actually haven't laid it in retail I've only played all of my hours have been like in early early versions of it. We played it Well, I got to say 76 takes like a lot of the elements

[00:30:27] That we liked about the survival games and just does it better and and I took to proximity chat I don't have that on that so I haven't heard any talk I hate pro I don't want to hear other people talking

[00:30:39] I'm playing a game what if they're hiding in the bushes and they're like what are you doing? It's the Appalachia radio on my pit boy I turned that on and I turned on Appalachia radio and you're just walking around to like

[00:30:49] I don't want to set the world and just like shooting scorchers It's a great. I think it's a great little game and I know like I can see why Todd Howard was excited to unveil it

[00:31:03] It's just that happened to fall flat when it released like a lot of these games are doing these days But I love it For me live have you guys played follow 76? I haven't played it since it came out because at launch it was traction. Yeah, there you go

[00:31:20] So there there's our confirmation but now I'm seeing no problems with it Yeah, I'm back in when wasteland does come out the DLC for that and not just going to where the game was meant to be at launch

[00:31:34] So right you could tell there was definitely going to write a direction where they but I just not jump back into it

[00:31:39] He doesn't like to give you games second chances like the game has a baking launch and he has it and I was like what it's fixed now like he's like It should have been fixed the first time it shouldn't need to be fixed My god well

[00:31:56] Is that it for you didn't just follow just follow yeah, but I mean I've always see I've also been playing animal crossings new Or animal crossing new horizons and just because like kind of started dipping back into it and working on my town of it

[00:32:17] That was the game before I long through yes, and I logged in recently and it was a ghost town in Leville Which is my team my name my town? I was like guys Nobody was there. I ran the TV series there anywhere

[00:32:29] I ran that town into the ground. I was like the Ben Wyatt ice clown of ice town in Watch parks and wreck But no orange town in new horizons is flourishing Nice, okay well I have been playing heart stone

[00:32:48] That's it and I made it to legend in classic again Wow Congratulations, but nice the verdict is in hard stone classic is a solved it's a solved game

[00:33:01] It is a no quantity. Okay, it's just how do you how do you have a a game mode a classic game on? That was thinking about this It doesn't evolve right just stays the same one just plays the same shit

[00:33:15] It's just the same thing all over and over again. So it's just a solved it's a known quantity. You know what I mean? It's just known It's like okay. This is what I have to do It's a lot of bots again
