Hello everybody, and welcome to another episode of the Elder Trolls Gaming podcast. If you are new enjoying us, we are three brothers who get together and talk about gaming. We may also talk tech, TV, movies, and other nerdy geeky stuff too. Today we're going to go over anything that caught our eyeballs over at the Games Calm twenty twenty four. Any new trailers, any new games, any stuff they've shown again, you know, any any of that stuff. But first, I'm nasty night. I'm taking East Jono and I'm danned off the wyse. Wow, Dan off the Wise, joining us completely offline. We can't see him. We can't even hear him. The Daniel. Can you see us? But can you see us? Oh? Okay, ok, no problem, there's like, no, there's no uploading problems. I can see you exactly as you speak. It's all synced. Up his upload. It's just your upload, that is absolutely yeah. It's one point five megabit on land, just. To spe test. Very impressive, very impressive, very impressive. Those who don't know, Daniel moved into the Sticks and in the Sticks they have very good internet, as you can tell. But the caveat is it's free, right now, that's the thing free. Well, you certainly get what you pay for You're getting what you pay for it. They might have to call up Elon Musk and get some starlink. Probably will I'll pay for your freaking starlink thing. I'll pay for half of your starlink. I'll do it, and you pay me back. Because this is just. I should be fine. I would be fine. I told Megan. I was like, I would pay for all of it. And it's you know me who kind of needs the better internet anyway. I mean she would like it because she's already like, I'm getting to that point where it's not even worth the free internet anymore. When you need to upload, when you need to have any semblance of upload, you cannot have garbage Internet because like half of the decent download packages from like cable providers have garbage upload upload. Yeah, yeah, I know they'll starlink. Starlink will try. I don't know if they're still doing it, but they are offering because the setup fee without being in a certain area, like if you're in a regular area and they're not giving you any kind of discounts, like eight hundred bucks to set it up mm hmm. If you they are running like a Canadian wide like if you're out in the sticks in certain areas, you can get the setup done for like two fifty or something. Yeah, there's a discount you heard of, like an extreme rural. Yeah, and I think I know people who are out in those areas that we can get you the kit for that discount price and then just update the address later. Really. Yeah, So Josh at Ott, he has a cabin and butt fuck nowhere right where he's ordered starlink and got the discount, and he can order another one for that address, and then we just give it to Daniel, update the the address and then he gets the price. We've done it. We've done it for a few sounds. That sounds like it would be ill permitted? Are we allowed? Should we say that on the podcast? No one's listening to our podcast especially. Anyway. Last episode, Hey guys, that last episode what a doozy, But you know it was funny. It was funny. We pulled it off thanks to the Friday night game cast boys. Nick and Will always a pleasure in a blast we had Elder bought on here. It's not the last you'll see have Elder bought. But Elder bought. We're got to iron it out for next time. I think the Jeopardy was gonna be a little bit more. It was a little bit more robust than my next plan, so it shouldn't be too bad. It was. It was quite. Hard to edit, and you did most of the editing already, and I still spent four hours or something on after you. But it was great. It was fucking hilarious. We got some really good feedback on it. I thought it was one of the probably the funniest episode we've had. It was fucking funny. I listened to multiple times because I had to because I was editing it, and I was laughing every single time. The only two times I've sobbed laughing, like uncontrollably crying, laughing laugh the Jeopardy and and the tell him his shop stinks to the Adventure AI script or whatever you I don't remember. I was just laughing at the fact that every time somebody went to speak, the fucking Elderbot would just start doing his stupid like if you need help, I'm right here kind of thing, like he just kept he just kept speaking at the exact same time as you were like you were you were fucking uh. It was like, do you understand? And then he didn't say anything because he told him not to respond. I was just like, oh my god, I was laughing. I was laughing. I was not here. I haven't been here in a month. Yeah, it's been a month. It's been a month since I've been. You broke your streak, you brought you streak. I think that was the first episode you missed. Yep, first episode ever. Yeah, yeah, what was I doing? Oh? Yes, I went to a oh the tiki bar cruise. No, no, it wasn't a tiki bar cruise. The pirate it was. It was supposed to be a pirate cruise, but cruise. Okay, well it wasn't a pirate It wasn't a pirate cruise, but I think Pam thought it was. She said she thought it was going to be a pirate like booze cruise. So you just drink on a boat and there's going to be like a pirate themed but and there's comedy, so like a comedy show on a boat. And I was like, okay, whatever, like we do these random fucking things, and I completely forgot. It was on the Thursday night. But two days before the couple we were going with Greg and Amelia, Emilia sends this screen cap of like the screen cap of the TT or like the advert of it, and it said it says on the top, it says, brought to you by a queer, black, disabled, autistic uh pirate comedian named Velvet Oh, Velvet is. And this is the first we heard about, Like what the hell it actually was? And we were like, what the fuck are we going to? Like what is this? So we go and it's pouring rain too. We're standing on a boat. The drinks there's no drinks on the boat. The drinks are on land, so you had to get the drinks before you went on the boat. So we only got to have one drink and then it was it was empty, and then I had to sit there and listen to the shit comedy. It was not funny at all, and it was it was yeah, and I was sober and there was a lot of singing and improv and it was just not good. It was just like it was an amateur nightmare, just like amateur hour weird comedy. And I was just like, what the fuck are we doing here? It's not like something that would happen in the office or something or there's that It reminds me of an episode of Friends where they invite Chandler to uh or Joey goes to have like his his Days of Our Lives party rooftop party with all like the famous people that he acts with, and he always tries to get all of his friends away from the because they all go crazy about the you know, the celebrities, right, So he tries to like make he tries to buy these lay ass shit and sends them off to He's like, yeah, I bought you these tickets and it's like a show to this like girl, some sort of play or something. He got buys the tickets to a play, but he hides the fact that he has the party up on the roof. They don't know, but it ends up they all find out except Chandler. And Chandler goes to the play by himself and it's like this just this, like I guess she's like a feminist or whatever. She's talking about, like her her experience as a woman and blah blah blah, and Chandler's just sitting there like where is everyone? Like the guy velvet he was funny like he was a nice guy and everything, but like, I. Just don't like improv, like amateur impro is kind of cringe. And then and before we even got on the boat, there was another improv group, a different improv group to kind of like do while we waited for the boat to get ready and everything, and that was fucking cringe. Oh man, I can't watch that ship. It was it was something. I was just like, well, I want to go home, and it was and we were stuck on a boat. And it was raining, and I was I want to go home right now. I want to be with the elder trolls right. Yeah, Oh my god. I hate I hate doing improv too, Like I remember in drama class and ship, I fucking hate improv. Yeah it sucks. I don't get any thrill out of it. Yeah, that's terrible. It sucks. Sorry, improv. I don't care to do that ever. Music improv like jazz, that's the same ship. Like you, if I had the tools and was practicing for twenty years, I'm sure i'd love improvising and like sitting at a piano, but like to start off, it's just horrible because you're just like you have to be okay, with being terrible at it. Yeah, yeah, anyway, yep, that was That's where I was last time, and I wish I was on the show. I just say that, yeah you do. Although a little been an extra fucking it would have been more of a. Okay, bad like huh at length? Yeah? What have you guys have been playing? What have I been playing? Did not? I mean there's a new season of Apex. It was a few weeks ago, but I haven't actually been played it in a couple of weeks because you've been playing I have been playing Diablo four mm hmmm uh pretty much pretty much it all have been playing is Diablo for since the season came out, which was the same day as the Apex season. So tell us, Like, so you haven't played since Vanilla since like original release? So like in your level what now ninety two? Uh huh? And like, what how do you feel the game? Now? How's the game feel to you now versus then? The feel is the same, I mean the feeling the leveling is obviously faster, oh much faster. What else? I mean just the That's the biggest thing I think is there's obviously different aspects now and different. Different gear. Kind of is there different stats now than there was then? Like different? They cleaned it all up. They cleaned it up. Yeah, so instead of having those like super convoluted you can only do damage for in certain times of the day, and what all this shit like now I'm just stupid shit, Like all the stuff that you'd have to sift through, they had hundreds of these like random stats that would just stop you from picking up a piece of gear with the stats you actually want, right, So they got rid of a ton of garbage stats, and then they kind of just like simplified all the stats. So instead of like damage to poisoned enemies while your trap is active and while you're wearing like velcrow shoes, you know what I mean, like shit like that, it's just like it's just like damage to poisoned enemies. I mean, they still have a lot of that, like damage to close, damage to crowd control, damage to only vulnerable, damage to chilled. It's like okay, but like I just want straight damage, so I just try to reroll everything for straight damage, which you can like you. Can you can customize and. Yeah, but it's a role like it's a chance you could not get it, which sucks. And every time I try to reroll, it gives me damage to distant, which is the least fucking wanted thing that because I am a rogue that does close damage. I'm not a marksman rogue. So what every time it gives me that like two out of the four times, every single time, and it just pissed me off. But yeah, but I have been playing that. I think I'm just rolling a rogue again. This my like fourth rogue, just because like the rogue is fantastic. I'm level. I just run around one got to one hundred very quickly. Now with those compasses, if you just keep doing the compass things like the Eternal Horde. Compasses, I haven't I forgot about it. Actually, I was just like, that's the statue in town you go to. No, it's a no that's the pit. So the compass. The compass is the little red jewels in your inventory. I don't I can't get it. I don't have any I don't know where to get them. Oh, Nightmare dungeons and world bosses. And I've been doing tons of Nightmare dungeons. I haven't gotten a fucking single one, so it must be World doc I've been doing hell tides and nightmare dungeons. That's what I've been doing. So I haven't got I've gotten like a handful of them and I've used them and that's and they're gone. So I don't know what the hell to get them. Well, you should get them from doing more of them. I didn't. They're sacred hearts or something. They're called. No, the compasses, I've not seen a single compass. I don't know what you're talking about. Yeah, it's like Infernal Horde compass, that's what it's called. Anyway, you do those, and it's like anytime you go, it's like a level or half a level. It was crazy how fast I leveled two one hundred just by doing the compasses. Well there you level fast as no matter what, like if you have a potion on, like even doing the Nightmare dungeons. I'm doing like tier sixty eight, tier sixty six right now, and like I get probably at least half a level, a quarter to a half level. It's just getting gear now is just like I don't want to look at every It's the same thing as it was, like I don't want to look at every single piece and just like and do all the math. Okay, it was just going to be better, and then it's only going to be better if I go refix and try to get a damage roll or try to get a you know, an armor roll. Yeah, but now I think it's if you if you kind of organize your gear to what stats you're looking for, and then an easy quick you pick up a piece of gear and you'll see if it's greener red right to the stats that you have. Yeah, but you can reroll it to make it so like you could do that on anything really you pick up. So I'm like, fuck, do I really want to do that? And I don't, So I have ended up just I'm selling most of my shit and then I'm just like, Okay, when I hit one hundred, maybe then I'll start to look for gear upgrades. But yeah, it's it's cool. Hopefully get to one hundreds soon. It probably won't take me that much longer. Just jump in with Ben and he'll do some compasses with you because he does like level six now five or six, and just like you can just watch your. XP meter like me, it took no time to get to like level fifty. Yeah, it takes like two hours and you're at level fifty already. I think the wall starts crunching at like eighty five ish eighty yeah, maybe like seventy five eighty. Yeah, I actually forgot that. I was playing that Grand Blue Fantasy game. Oh yes, but I was. I think I'm also near the end of that game and it was getting actually pretty good, but I completely forgot about it. But it was actually, yeah, I was getting into it, and I think there's probably only only a couple hours left. I think. I'm I think I'm like seventeen hours in or something like fifteen hours. Is there a lot of side stuff in that one? Yeah? Yeah, there's like you can do go do quests that like there's this vendor there. You go get quests to get like materials to upgrade all your stuff, and you can also get the new like there's cards that you get for new players, new companions, companion cards, because there's a lot of people you can play with, like a lot of people that can come into your party, and they all have like a backstory. There's a lot of like lower in it, so there's a lot of backlore. So I did find myself like spending like half an hour like reading through everyone's fucking things. And there's actually these cut scenes in these stories that you can watch that will actually give you more stats, that will make your stats better. So if you go through and watch the distillery of that person, like you'll get an extra you'll get an extra boon or you'll get an extra stat. So that's interesting. A reward for learning lore. It's a reward for learning law. Yeah that is, that is what it is. But then you do these requests and you can go do you can get a new companion card that you can exchange at this vendor for one of the new characters. So I've done that like three or four times. I got these new characters. The characters are cool, Like the art is cool, the character moves are cool. The battling is the funnest part. Like you just want to get to the next battle where you can just see all the fucking stuff flying around and that's pretty much what it is. But the story actually getting a little bit better towards the end. But my latest obsession has been the Lord of the Rings Living card game. Oh yes, yes, and it's not a video game at all, not a video game at all. I don't know what. Well, technically you can play it as a video as a game on video Yes, there is a browser. There was one though, what Lord of the Rings game? Oh yeah, is out there now, there is one out there on Steam. You mean that's the one. We tried to play it marked, but it's not the one that we played. It's not free, though it is based on it. Oh, it was based on it, yes, but it's just not the same mechanics. It's more of a it's very simplified. It's more of a straight yeah, straightforward and simplified. But it is the same it's based on the same thing. But yeah, me and they have played it for a few hours, I think, because it's not free. Did you buy it? It's like twenty five It was on game Pass for a while. Oh really, yeah, I don't remember. I don't remember playing it though, I don't know that I did. We did. I never played it. I never played it. I remember when you did, though. I remember when it came out and I was like, oh, okay, new card game, but I never ended up trying it for some reason. I don't know why. But this game that I'm playing in real life, I r L. But it does have a browser. A bad houser game that someone built. They built unbelievable. Yeah, what they did there, Holy shit. Yeah. So what it was is there's already the website ringsdb dot com, which is like a it's like a database of all the different cards that have been printed released of this game, and it's for deck building. So you can go on there. You can tell it what sets you own, and then it will show you all the cards that you own and have access to, and you can create your decks because it is a deck building game. It's a deck building game where you play against the scenario. There's different adventures you can go on, different scenario packs that were released since twenty eleven. This game came out in twenty eleven. Yeah, so it's been like thirteen years of content that I'm just getting into now. But they did re release it in twenty twenty two as a revised They re released some sets and they kind of packaged some things together and made a new releases. But it's it was a bit daunting to get into at first, because I was like, Okay, well, what do I have to do? Is this enough for me to get going and start playing? Just the revised Core set, which is like it's like the original Core set, which came out in twenty eleven. They basically gave you three cards of each, whereas before they didn't give you that many. Before this was released, you would have to buy multiple Core sets, so you would have like, okay, so you would have more than, you know, a few of all the cards. But this they repackaged it so that they give you four of each card or something like that and get you going a little quicker. So that's what I got, which came out two years ago, and then I bought like a couple other the little expansion packets, and then we started playing, and fuck, it is so good. It's such a fun fucking game. But yeah, the website one he basically connected to the API of the Rings dB to load up all the arts. So he just calls the cards from there. Yeah, and he has the rules programmed in. You can load up any of the scenarios, any of the adventures that have been released in the last fourteen years. It has every single card, every serial piece of content. Yeah, so you can basically play it for free and load it up and build your own deck on rings dB and import it and then play against whatever scenario you want for free. So you can test your dex there. You can you can do whatever you want. But it is super fun to play in person. We've been playing. We've been playing person. Me and Pam play it. You can just sit down and have the cards there. So I've been buying like little expansions and whatnot, and it's it's challenging, but it's fun. And yeah, but me and you played, brought you on, learned you how to learned you how to play? You know. Yep, I got it pretty quickly. I think the only thing that was difficult was like where I'm putting the markers and shit, and like the keyboard controls. So they also have like a little legend where you can pull up with your tab button. It just tells you all the shortcuts on how to add attack tokens or add. Specific to Yeah, that's whereas in person you would just put it on with your finger. But yeah, but yeah, in the in the the browser game, yeah, the shortcuts are a bit weird. But yeah, we've been playing met Greg and Steve been playing that a lot. It's a lot like gloom Haven, but less set up, easier to way less set up, but it is kind of similar. Whereas like gloom Haven, you have the scenario. This is what it is. There's these types of monsters you have to this is your end goal. This is what happens when you When you do this, you win the scenario. It's the same thing you this is the setup. You do this, you have to rescue this guy or whatever, and this is when you win. But in this there's less there's more variety because it's based on what you draw from the encounter deck, which is like the enemy deck. Whereas in Gloomhaven, you know that you're going to have this many of this type of enemy. They are placed here at the beginning of this ere you know you already know what's going to be there, right, But it's no there's no board. Also, it's just a card game. But yeah, I've been obsessed with I also found a way to print all the stuff that's out of print. Because the stuff that's out of print is going on eBay for like hundreds of dollars. It's the only way you can get it because they're not reprinting in it. So if you want to play an old let's say you want to play the scenario from the Hobbit, like the story of the Hobbit that came out in fucking twenty fourteen. So if you go on eBay right now, the first one is is not that expensive, but the second one, the guys wont like two hundred and fifty dollars for the second expansion, and I'm like, I'm not fucking paying that for It's like I don't know how many cards, is it? Like one hundred and fifty cards? Yeah, but in that time, in that it's like its own collectors. Oh yeah, guaranteed, Like I could resell it for the same like these things will because they're not being printed anymore. Yeah, that's where the value goes up. Right. It's like it's like any TCG I guess, but this is not like a trading card game where you buy packs and it's like gambling. It's not gambling like you would with Pokemon cards or something. You know what cards you're getting when you buy an expansion, you get them all, and whatever you use is just based on what you have, and everyone kind of has the same cards if they bought that expansion. So but you can print them. People on Reddit now because they're not printing it, they can't get this stuff anymore. Because we have all the images of the cards, of all the cards of every single card on rings, DV and whatever. You can just make your own cards and print them using like a playing card printing service, and there's guides on what exact options to use, what you kind of want to do, what card thickness and whatever, and I'll fucking pack it all up, print it for you and send it to you. But it's not cheep either though, like it would be about the same as buying an expansion like normal price, like retail like it is now. It's like ninety bucks to buy one of the one. Of them, better than spending what two fifty for shit eBay. Isn't it just printed on plain white paper and cut it out with scissors? Yeah, right, just. Like flu It's just and shit you got over your hands you're playing, You're like, oh, well, man, it's super fun. If anyone els to play. Yeah, we could play in the in the browser for free. Super cool. Interesting. Well, I have been reading The Fellowship via audio book narrated by Andy Serkis Nice. I had been listening to it, I should say, at book two, halfway through. I know, but it's related, very very cool. So if I was going to pick it up, it would probably be now, yeah, Daniel, come play. We can just play in the browser. It's fun. And we put the music and discord the lord ud. Yeah, we were just cool. That's a good idea. When we were playing in person, I put it on my phone, I put like this mor Door playlist and it's like. And we're like battling, battling the thing. It was, Man, that's cool. That's a good idea. You got to have that third element, that that three D element where you got the music as well. Yes, definitely, all right, Dan, what have you been playing before I say that? Actually I want to point out here my camera stopped recording at one point, at like three minutes in for some reason. I don't know why. But then I restarted and it's at fourteen minutes so it's it looks like it's gonna you don't need it. I don't need it until later anyway, I know. So I'm going to stop it now and just maybe I'll do a re pop when we get into the main topic. Is that sound good? Okay, Just don't let me forget because I probably will anyway. Okay, game time Dannedolf, So I have just been playing. I've been playing a little bit of. More Moria Lord of the Rings. Speaking of Lord of the Rings, we don't seem to get on this point time here to play that, I know. But I've just been playing it offline because the internet here is not great, right. I wanted to just play the game and try and enjoy it and play solo thing. But honestly, I was just finding it hard. Man. I don't know if it's that I'm not used to these kind of survival games and shit, but having to constantly keep tabs on, you know, Oh, I have to have a few axes in my inventory because the fucking break in the middle of a fight, and then I got to switch to one and then they're like, oh, but I can't build the axes now I'm out of materials, and I got to go look for materials. But I can't look for materials because now I'm going to get attacked but I don't have weapons because I don't have and it's like a vicious circle. And I just found a out. Not yet. Yeah, I would like to play more, but I might try and just put it on a little bit of easy mode there, you know what I'm saying, just to kind of get into the groove and routine of what the fuck I'm supposed to do, because like, I just kept getting ambushed by the Orcs and the goblins. I was like, oh my god, man. Just give us a fucking jets. So I kept getting in your lone roll and I would win. It's just now I have no weapons after and I have no like materials and ships, so I'm kind of at like a a loss. Maybe at one point, I just haven't built any yet. So yeah, I've been enjoying that, but I want to go back and maybe just turn it onto easy mode and see how much further I can get, because I want to delve deeper and I want to be sweet to listen to sub while playing that too. But the music intended, you know what they woke in the darkness, doves too deep, you know what. They Yeah, that's Meghan has been playing Hogwarts Legacy, which made me want to play some She's been absolutely loving and I. Was like, damn, So I loaded it up. And I was just kind of doing I've been doing a bunch of side stuff and a lot of in your current your existing file. Yeah, I'm at fifty four hours, and I was like, let's step step back in and we'll see what I've got. Like, I have so many side shit to do, whether that's a little side quest where you're doing puzzles for people and figuring shit out, or you're doing actual side quests where you have to go and investigate things and find this person and do this thing. I don't remember how to play, like, I wouldn't remember how to fight or how to do any of the Oh it's easy, no recollection, it's easy if you I mean, it's the same thing as the Spider Man model. It's you know, you got a dodge, you hold the counter attack button. Like pages of. There was different pages of abilities that you have to like switch with your It wasn't that many spells either, those Yeah, you had like four, there was like three or four page sets. Yeah, four spells you can arrange, and I have it set up so that I have like all my purple ones are in one set, and I do it in a in a specific order, so I uh hold them toward me and then I yeah slam them down in a circle the pulsey. Yeah, you just like create a cool combo, and then I've got my red spells, which are like the damage. What was really cool when you really get into it and you really get into the groove, was when let's say I want to combo something that's on page four with on page one, and you get better at like doing that. It's very rewarding. It's very cool because you can't fit it on the first page, so you don't want to, but you're. Like, oh fourth page, boom boom, boom boom, and you like do this sweet combo. Yeah, being able to switch mid combat kind of thing. Yes, that was fucking cool. Yeah, I don't know. I've been watching Megan play too. She's like, she's never played an RPG like this, like third person RPG action where you're doing a lot of fighting and stuff, and she's got a great handle on it. She's been fucking killing it. So I'm like, damn proud of her. Uh So, yeah, that's what I've been enjoying, and like, man, I've just I was exploring because I have a lot of field guide pages too. I want to I don't know that I'll one hundred percent it, but I want to get really far in all those like collections where I think we've got your field pages, you've got all the combat challenges. I want to do as many as I can, if field pages and combat challenges, because that's what I'm highest in right now. I'm I think I think about like eighty seven percent combat and seventy six something like that percent field pages, which doesn't seem like enough because the fucking world is huge, so I feel like they're everywhere. But anyway, so that's just what I've been kind of doing, is poking around in Hogwarts and just kind of doing that stuff as well as returned to Maria. Hogwarts Good Game. I got, like, I think the only thing left for me was the balloon Time trials and a few if you left the Merlin. Yeah, I interested me that much. I had a lot done. I had a lot done. I think I did a lot of it as well. But the map is huge, so I didn't. I definitely didn't explore as much as I probably could have. Well, I remember turning on that game the first time. It looked so fucking good. Yeah, all right my turn, Yes, sure. So well, I've been playing Diablo for as well me Ben Jonathan insane x our buddy. I'm maxed out level one. I've got all my beginner and game gear all like one or two two greater fixes like the little stars on it. All. My gear has at least one, which is nice. So now I'm getting into the uber bosses, which I keep trying to solo, but I can't. They just if I'm off my game one shot and I'm dead, so I'll get like a quarter of their health down and it takes like ten minutes and I'm like ah, and if these just swings it and I miss a step or whatever and he crushes me and I have to start over and like fuck this. So there's like a weird spot right now where I can't do anything else other than the uber bosses. But I can't do an uber boss unless I'm in either a group because my gear's not there yet, So I mean, I can't do the next level of compasses because I also I also get one shot by like some of the boss like the mini bosses in the Compasses. So I'm like at this weird state where I need better gear to do the next step, but I can't get that better gear because I can't do the next step, you know what I mean. It's it's it's a strange spot right now, but it's super fun. I love just the the amount of enemies on the screen in the higher end compasses. It's I'm like, how am I killing all these fiends and demons? Is crazy? It's just numbers. This is fucking awesome. Other than Diablo, I did pick up Concord, you were one of only one of like two thousand people. Okay, yeah, we'll have to talk about that. So it's not getting a good reception, well no, let's say, Okay, the people who have played it is giving it are giving it good reviews and reception. Okay for the most part. Okay, so but not many people bought it. Right, and not many people are going to buy it to try it out, right, So they're just laughing at it from afar and like criticizing it that that it's just like has low low player numbers, so right now, I mean I did predict that. I think a lot of people did. If we go back to our episode when we first saw the gameplay and the trailer whatever and that little citye thing, let's pull that up, Jamie, I said, who the hell is going to play this? Why would you not just go play Overwatch for free instead of buying this game? Yep, that is exactly what I said. So that's a good question. That's a good question, Jonathan. I played about five hours of Concord it's now and that five hours went by quick and now I can't refund it if I was going to. But that's fine. I'm enjoying the game like it's fun. I might actually stream it tonight just to show it off to people who don't know what it's about or want to see it in action. All stream it really okay? So the player count on each platform is around seven hundred. So that's Steam. I think there's around seven hundred. PlayStation there's around seven hundred. There were more people playing Gollam Galam on Steam than Concord. Crazy, that's absolutely insane. And then I think there was probably another five hundred people on Epic Games because there's three platforms. I don't know if you can get it on Dog, so I'm assuming there's like two thousand people playing on that peak peak maybe two thousand, which is awful across all platforms. It's very bad. But when I was in there, the matchmaking was quick. The names don't seem like bot names. Yeah, I don't think there's spots. It doesn't seem like there're spots. I don't know, but you know, it's it's good from what I've been playing. They plan on giving us like a cinematic cut scene every season or every week. I don't know which, but like at the beginning, every time you load into the game, it'll play like a like an animated movie scene, right, and it'll like catch you up all the time. It's supposed to be like every every season or I have to check, but every week. I thought it was every week. They're going to give a new like three four minute like cut scene when you enter the game that is supposed to get you used to the characters, invite you into the world, tell you the story of the world and the universe and all this stuff. Okay, so that's that's pretty cool. The characters, well, I'll get to that. Actually, is it cross play between PC and PS five right now? Because it's not out for Xbox, so what is it? Right? It's a team ability shooter much like Overwatch. You select your hero, you check out their abilities, and you jump into five or six game I think it's six game modes, all of which you've played before, like capture the area, you know, control all that shit, right, Yeah, But they also have five solo time trial modes. So there's five modes. Solo. You go in and you compete on leaderboards for challenges and like a a certain map, you have to get from here to hear it a certain amount of time and do these challenges. That's pretty cool. I tried a few of those out and then you can see where you stack a PvE. Yeah, there's no PvP there in those leaderboard ones. The only PvP it is is the leaderboard itself. You're just competing against other players, but there's no other players in your game. It's just like a solo time trial game trial time trial. So that was pretty cool. I loaded up a few of those. Now, the characters aren't anything to write home about, like, they're not crazy such great things about. It's a diverse cast of characters and diversity inclusion. Diversity inclusion yes, uh, like I don't, I don't know LGBTQ plus plus. And it's like everyone's like, oh, they're shoving the pro doowns down my throat whatever, right, like yeah, it says it under their name whatever. And then there's like a rain there's like a rainbow on the logo, Like I don't know if that offends all these people whatever, but the characters themselves a rainbow and what on what logo, Like like the Concord logo, there's like a like a multi colored logo banner like in the branding itself kind of yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, but yeah, the characters aren't great. There's a few that are cool. Uh, there's a few that are super cringe. I've been playing I'm playing this catwoman alien girl. She's super cringe. Like her abilities are cool, Like it's much like Lobo when she tosses the bracelet, you know, and then you can portal to the portal to her orb, but her orb can bounce around and keep bouncing until you poort to that orb. So like if you're in a hallway or something and you like whip the orb against the ground and like bounce all around and then if you time it right, you can portal to the orb behind or beside or in another room whatever, like to get around. She's really cool, Like her abilities are really cool. She feels good, she's fast. That's why I kind of like her versus the other characters. So I'm having fun playing her. I'm like, it's really cool, Like you're you're shooting someone around a corner and then you can see like a flanking position that you can get to them, So you toss your ball right, let it bounce around the hallway until it gets to its flank position, and then while the guys shooting you, you can just disappear and appear like beside him if you do it properly right, and then he can't react. So that was really cool. I'm enjoying that. There's like a there's like a healer guy who throws orbs around some more orbs. It's an orb based game. It's an orb based game, but I do play support in Overwatch, so I play this guy as well, and it's pretty cool, Like you can throw a healing orb on someone and it'll stick on that person and heal everyone around that person and then they'll run around and have like a healing aura. It's on Steam, yeah, Steam Epic, I think. Now. Other than that, yeah, like the characters. Okay, the game looks nice for me anyway. I've heard people complaining the graphics. But they're clean, they look good, they're sharp. But I also have a sick computer, you know, and I play at the apex of fidelity graphics gaming. Okay, if you're some loser who's playing it on a toaster, of course, the graphics, yeah, on a toaster, like I don't know, I don't know if those toasters are using motherfuckers out they're playing this game. But the menus, the menus and colors are quite nice, very polished, very clean. It's it's well presented right. Also, the game also runs very well for me. I locked it at one hundred and twenty FPS because okay, so you're on yeah, I'm playing on PC. Yeah, okay, yeah, yeah. If I try to get it to like solidify at one sixty five or around one sixty, it fluctuates a lot, so I'd rather have it solid at one twenty. Did you do that in game or are you using revatuner in game? There's an in game level okay, and it's got all the md FSR bullshit, which I don't turn on. But if I did turn on that stuff, I'm sure I could get rock Solid one sixty five. I just don't do. I just don't use that shit because I like sharp I like seeing sharp graphics. Okay, there's a cool thing in this one. The game has a group makeup bonus. So if you have a group of players, each player there's like a tactician snipers, what are they called a tactician. So if you select a tactician, you give faster reload time to your entire party, so it's like a team bonus. If you select a ranger, you give improved recoil for your whole party. So if there's a ranger in your party or a tactician, everyone gives the party some sort of bonus, so you can create a cool makeup party makeup okay and stuff like that. I didn't I haven't played all of the classes yet, but those two are the ones that I've been playing. So those are passive without even actually having to do anything. Yeah, these are mostly contributing to mostly group. Yeah, so then you can. Say, oh, if we get this character reloading faster, that would be a good bonus. So I'll select this guy. If you do this, the whole group benefits, right, and then you can make your little party that much better. The more I play this game, the more it reminds me of Destiny multiplayer. Mmmm it it feels like Destiny, Yeah, the PvP Destiny. It feels like a Destiny multiplayer. And then and then I read it's actually former Destiny developers. Ah, So I was like, ah, I can feel it. I can see it right, like the sounds, all the animation stuff like that, the double jump or the double dodge. You know, you in Destiny, you would hit your double you would hit your dodge, and it would kind of zoom out to a third person and you'd see like that third person kind of movement animation they do that. There's a lot of it's it can get floaty with certain characters because some characters have jet packs. There's double jumps for most people, and when they double jump, it's kind of like a floaty double jump, so you gotta be careful of that. I'm not a huge fan of that because then if you double jump, you're stuck in the air. For a little bit and people just snipe you out of the ear. But the weapon handling feels good. The gunfight are solid. It's quite polished for what it is. The sound is crunchy, sounds very good. The directional sound is nice. Like in my clip I sent you today, I heard the guy's footsteps coming up the hallway, so I turned I saw him. It actually worked, So that's it's pretty good. It's different enough to keep me playing. Hopefully they give this game a little bit more time to find its feet, but I do expect it to go free to play, and then hopes they give pay players like people who bought it some extra bonus stuff just for buying it. I don't know, man, I think maybe they should just lower the price because if it you will get cheaters if you go free to play. That's true. Yeah, you're gonna get cheating. Maybe that's that's one of the big things they don't like, that's why they're they're doing that. But like, if they don't go free to play, they need to come up with something like crazy good. You know, well, they just can't be adding like tons of fucking micro transactions. Yeah, but there's none of that. Everything's unlockable through uh XB like you playing, okay, well it should be yeah, like and I enjoy that. So they also have there's like a big lower They're trying to really fill out the lore, and they give you like this big map of the galaxy and like there's planets on this map and systems on this map, and you can hover the hover over and read about each planet, the lore behind the planet, what happened at this date, YadA, YadA, YadA. You can go around and read it. But I don't like reading as everyone made. So there's an audio read back component where you know, I wish there was I wish there was I see, but it's all reading, so like, just read it out, add that little something else. Fuck okay. Another thing you can't do is you can't type to your teammates on PC's completely like locked out, which is stupid, but I can see that since PS five players won't be able to type back, it'll get pretty toxic very quickly. With the one side bullying, I've seen it in Overwatch Overwatch from PC elite players because Overwatch you can do it, but it's quite annoying and by the time I'm done my sentence three matches have already gone by, you know. That's in APEX two, Like, how the hell are these guys typing to me? But you have to like open the fucking man ye Like I'm like, what the hell? Who does this? So if they can come up with a better quick chat system, like yes, no over here, but you like like a wheel and stuff, there's no ping wheel. There's no ping wheel. Yeah, okay, the pinging is terrible. There's only two options. You can ping your enemy and then just ping an area like a ping in the areas just like over here, Like what over here? The bad guy, I'm watching this spot over here? What am I doing? What? What do you want me to do? Over here? There's only two options. So if they can get a ping wheel happening with some kind of quick chat, I think that'll help tremendously. But that's not in there yet. Now. The last few points is the biggest beef I have with this game was the pinging thing, because I had never talked to anybody. I like to talk to people using pings and quick chats. I hate turning on my microphone. But other than that, the other thing was the skins. I'm a big cosmetic guy. Okay, I get my cosmetics on Diablo everywhere. Overwatch. I'm huge on my cosmetics and Overwatch. Okay, this game just has recolors for like all, like I'm grinding. If I'm grinding this character, Okay, it's going to take a while to get like the Premium skin, which is at the end of the grind, but anything else up until then is just shitty recolors. And yeah, it's okay, but like I want people to know that I've grinded this character and I'm very good with this character. So give me something to show that, you know what I mean? Does that make sense? Like if I do child for this character or milestones or kill streaks, give me an unlock that I can show people that, you know, when I drop into a game, this guy's got that fucking skin, He's pretty good. That's what I'd like to see. That's what I'd like to see other than people just buying skins. Right, So, if you're good at a character and you've unlocked it to a certain level, then like I feel like games have just gotten away from that. No games do that, Yeah, but I think they're trying to bring it back. But if they can just do better. When's the last game that did that World of Warcraft? It's like yeahah, like yeah, you beat this boss and you got this drop. You beat this boss enough times for this low drop rate item to drop and you got it, like the the war glaves of fucking Iloden, like Ilodin's War. But when you saw that, when you saw someone with those, you're like, fuck that guy. That guy focks, you know, yeah, yeah, this guy Fox, this guy is am I right, this guy fucks. In fact, he's probably a loser in sell in real life. So this game was in development, they say, for eight years. I can't believe that. You know what else? You know what else was in DYLVM for eight years? Cyberpunk twenty seventy seven. Okay, wow, this game is not under development for I don't know what they were doing for half the time. To be honest with you, I don't know, like they what they could have gave us was like a little campaign, like a six hour campaign. If you're buying the game, that's five six hour campaign. Yeah, be surprised. There's no campaign if you know, just kidding, there is. They didn't release it yet. Maybe maybe it did work on that maybe because it would like introduce you to the game mechanics, the characters, the lower the world, you know, like get it rolling a bit. That would have been nice for a forty dollars game or fifty dollars game, you know, just to have that six hour campaign. I think that would have went over very well for people dropping a couple for forty bucks. Here now it's fifty dollars game. I got it for forty bucks because some coupons I had from Fanatical Fanatical dot com. Can I get this coupon? Well, I sent you a five percent coupon. I have an Amazon coupon for twenty dollars. Is it on Amazon? No? So? But like so far, is it worth the forty dollars a paid no? You know. And I think that's what everyone's beef is is that it's a very free to plays game for forty dollars. They should have at least came up with the six hour campaign. Like I said, the pinging needs to be ironed out. Just a few of these things would make the pill a lot easier to swallow, especially if you're getting a little bit more for that forty bucks, like a little story. But right now, as I'm playing it. It's fun. I'm enjoying it, and no one, no, none of my friends are playing it. But I'm playing solo and I'm doing pretty good right now. Out of the other at the five remark, it's I'd give it like a six point eight out of ten. It's not quite a seven, you know, but I think it would be an eight if they added those things I'm talking about, like the campaign, the better ping system, some emotes, spraise, a way to quick chat, and then rework the skins. But other than that, like it's a good game. Do you think the game will be worth the forty dollars one day if they add that shit that I was talking about, Yeah, for sure. But like right now, it's it's if you put it up against Overwatch, and even Overwatch isn't very popular, right, Like it's not crazy popular Overwatch two, but like Overwatch two is the better game in my opinion. Well, okay, right, yeah, right. But like it's it's hard to come in to that, to that play or to that I don't know what you say, that gen say, into that genre and then like compete against things that have been there for so long and free to play. Yeah, so they should have offered a lot more for the forty dollars, like the campaign or something, just to get people in there. But the reviews are good. I are like mostly positive. I'm liking it, but yeah, mostly positive. Right, Well, I would play I would like to play it. I would like to try it, but I don't want to spend fifty dollars. Yeah. See, yeah, that's the thing. A lot of people want to try it. You can. You can buy it, play it for under two hours, and then return it. That's the only really way to do it, other than the open beta that I had not too long ago. Oh. The only the reason why I bought that versus Black Myth Wukong, which is killing it right now, is because I didn't have eighty dollars. I had forty dollars on my gaming on my gaming budget card. But one day I'll get it, but not this day, not this day, that is, don't all right? I think that's it? Anybody else? No, no, no, I mean I didn't talk at all about the new season of APEX. Lots of changes, lots of new there's a new map, but that's for another day. I guess. All right, Well, we're gonna hop into today's topic. But first there is a merch Star people. Man, it is live and it's got some shirts and sweaters that look good, they fit good, they feel good. So if you're listening to this you want to support the show, head on over to the Merch Store. It'll be in the description and grab yourself a T shirt or sweater. Maybe hats are toos soon coming for wintertime. Beanies to you Americans. Yeah, beanies to Americas. Tukes two US Canadians. All right, here we go. So today we're going to talk about games, top game games, time, games, calm, games, Calm, I keep saying, I keep saying games cons. Today we're gonna talk about the actor James Con James Con. So I just thought, you know, it's a it's a late summer games event talking about games, you know, showing some new trailers. Long, there was a lot of it was. It was like a lot hours and hours. It was like days long. Yeah, three days, three days thing. So like when I went to go saw videos, Yeah youto, that's a day one day two. I wasn't like watching it as it was happening. It's an in person event too, right, yeah, so we're not like watching it the whole fucking time. So if you want to go recap things like, there's a lot of content. There's a lot of shit. Yeah yeah, so we probably won't talk about everything obviously, but let's talk about what. Popped in our heads and if we kind of went off the beaten path and watch some you know, dev gameplay videos of our most anticipated games coming. Yeah, all right, right, so yeah, just uh well, I guess we'll do like a round table, you know, pick a game to talk about, and we'll just keep going until we run out of the things that took that are peaud our interest, you know, Jonathan, take it out, take it off here. I think the first one I saw was Starfield Shattered Space the year there was a feature I guess trailer or was it a trailer? He must have been a trailer maybe some gameplay stuff. I'm gonna I'm gonna jump back into that for sure. I'm just not sure how like is it gonna be on game pass or what? Is this a free download? This is gonna be an expansion, It's probably a paid like a lot of the Skyrim ones where you know they what would. Those called blah blah blahstead something in all the Vampire one. Yeah. Yeah, so I don't know how that's gonna work with game Pass, but I feel like if you have if it's available on game Pass, like you're you're going to be able to play the DLC from game Pass too. Yeah, they have to get you to exactly. They have to add to game Pass. It's that's their thing. Day one. It's about the house Varon. Is that what it's about? Is that the snake, the sneak, snake gods or whatever, the snake people. Yep. It looks like it's gonna be Yeah, it's gonna be spooky almost. Yeah. It looks like a little horror esque space adventure. M hmm. That could be cool. I I will play, like I'm gonna I'm definitely gonna play it. I guess I'll have to buy it or sub to game Pass, but i'll probably buy it. I will buy something. Yeah, yeah, if it's anything like the Skyrim stuff, it'll be like a third of game price. Maybe. They also they also released the Dune buggies. Yes, just like a land Rover. The Rev eight what you're calling it, Well, I'll hop on my Rev eight. That's what I was missing. You know, it would be cooling that game. I was like, man, fucking run everywhere. Yeah, man, yeah, you know would be cool. Now now that they implemented the mechanics of that Rev eight and all the physics and stuff, a lot of motors are probably going to take that and fucking fly with it. Literally make space cars, yeah, and do like dune buggy races on far off planets, and like make quests that you have to dune buggy race and all this shit. It's pretty sweet dune buggy racing ring. Yeah, but yeah, for sure, I would love to play again. I always jump in and do a quest or two and then jump out. See I can't because I have to. I don't. Well, actually I have. I probably have game pass right now so I could get it, but I will definitely buy it when they just the base price goes down because I don't again. It's in one of those games where I don't want to keep getting fucking game pass just to play it, because it doesn't have an online component like see Thieves, where it can fuck me, bend me over, and fuck me. So you never bought you you played it on game pass. I just played it on game pass. Yeah, yeah, just because like I didn't want to spend one hundred dollars on it up front when I could, just when I had my my deal with the Xbox for two years or whatever. It was. Okay, So anything else should we do? Back and forth back forth? I only have a few things. I think I have four things that I put down. Yeah, so now you do what You could probably guess what two of them are. Okay, Well, first I'm gonna start with this one though. Did you guys see that Neo Berlin twenty seven? Yeah, yeah, I had that. Ritten looked it looked weird, but it looked interesting like punk. Yeah. The girl looked. Yeah, she did. Bored a lot from the matrix, like way way a lot from the matrix. And so I punk. I feel like it looked like nice. Yeah. The first city or the first person looked a lot of cyberpunk stuff, but like there was a lot of slow mow and kind of like the Max Pain bullet time kind of thing going on. You see him like doing the stabs really cool like John Wicksta. I didn't see that, and like the gun fighting and the stabs that looked pretty sweet. I don't know, it looked visually really nice. She looked a bit weird, but I don't know the I love future. She might not even be human story behind her, right, I think she's like he has to protect her cyber Yeah, cyborg, but I mean the voice acting. Didn't really grip. Yeah, it was. Kind of like, I just love the Obviously we loved the cyber cyberpodcet and killing, killing, killing. Thick guy. The main character could have looked maybe a little cooler tood style. He was just like the leather jacket thing. I liked the idea, but I like the Yeah, it looked at it caught my eye more than a lot of fucking shit. I watched last night for like forty minutes, sitting in front of the couch, I was like, what is all this? Man, it's all the zombie. When I wrote down, yes, a lot of zombie shit, but a lot of space stuff too. Yeah, a lot of space games coming out. I had, okay, re animal to you see that one? Yes, very dark, very creepy from the guys who made Inside. Is that the co op one? Yeah, it looked like a co op sides well not just side scroller, but it was like a co op adventure where you're sneaking around in this weird, dark, kind of creepy world. Yeah, uh yeah, I think I saw this. Uh me a second, I'm looking it up right now, I'm having Jamie pull it up. I saw it. Yeah, that's something i'd definitely maybe play with Alma. Very creepy looking. The design to sound sounded really nice. It looked really cool. Definitely peaked my Yeah, yeah. Yeah, this one looked fucking wild. Yeah, yep, yep, yep. Very cool, very cool our direction. Yeah, and it looks like a rhyme, that game rhyme that I keep telling you guys to play. But this is darker, but it's the same kind of like this looks more like traversal insider inside. I think they said it was really similar. One guy said was really similar to Little Nightmares. I think, oh, yeah, the compared one. Yeah, it's the same field though, like it's the same. It's like cinematic, yeah, but plat three D platformer. Almost it changes. It goes from like side scrolling to then like a three D or like a third person like sneakering, sneaking around, And yeah, it looks pretty cool, looks pretty cool. Well we have obviously we're going to see a lot of the bigger games coming out. We saw probably every single one of them in some format games come. But we got Star Wars Outlaws. It's going to come out next week. Did they show anything new. From Star Wars Outlaws? I think I've seen I've seen enough. Yeah, I think they. Just showed another trailer, maybe a little bit more. But you know what I forgot about Outlaws? That's very true. That comes out next week next week. Yeah, And I've said this before. Oh my god, I love the idea of Star Wars games, but I don't love the idea of Giant games that I'll never come close finishing aka Ubisoft games. So I'm a bit on the fence for this one. I don't know. I want to play it, but I don't want to, Like, I'm not going to play three hundred hours of it. So is it worth it? Is there a good like main story? I guess is what I mean to know? Just a main story. Then I can get lost in some of the side stuff, you know, if if if I'm sure that's the case. Yeah, So I don't know. We'll see. We'll have to see what happens. I'll lot to see. Well wait for those reviews. Yeah, I have to see what the golden path is, you know, gold time to beat, how long to beat? But I do like the idea of going doing side shit on like random planets and cool. It's cool, it's cool. I don't know if it's like mainly focused on tattooing. This one. It was a lot of stuff, yeah, a lot of the stuff that. Well, I didn't watch any updated videos or anything. They actually came out. They actually came out with like a dev gameplay featurette before game's gone, I think like a week ago or so, where it was like forty minutes long. I watched a good half of that, Like, I don't know, it looked good to me. I think the bottom line is there hasn't been an open world, single player Star Wars game in how fucking long since Nights of. The Old Republic. What about the ones that just came out RPG mm hmmm, what am I missing? Open world? ARMYG you got you got Star Wars? Is that those Star Wars games that came out not too long ago? No, no, no, that's linear level based ship. I don't know about the new one, but the first one was, and that's like it's great. It was fine because it was focused, but I think it's about time that Star Wars came out with something like this. So I'm looking forward to it because that's my kind of game. And I will option a Star Wars option. If you guys want to know. But you know, if you guys want to try, you can also download all of the Star Wars mods for Starfield and it turned Starfield into a Star Wars game. No, there's tons, There's tons, tons of mods that changed all the characters to Star Wars characters. I'm I'm not a modern I'm not a hacker. But like I said, single player, uh, the Old Republic doesn't count. It's an MMO. I'm talking single player, open world, big, like cool fucking Star Wars game, something that I would have loved when I was a kid, you know, playing with my Star Wars toys and ship like I would love that going around on Tatowen as like a you know, a smuggler and ship. That's really cool. So yeah, I think this is going to be really cool regardless. Okay, okay, nice who picked that one, Jonathan? Yeah? So who's next? You know, I think it's me next. I want to talk about a little bit about Masters of Albion. I couldn't not mention this one. Did you guys see this at all? I did not know. I did not, Okay, Masters of Alba. It's it's by Peter Malinu, who did Black and White. I did see that with the hand. I saw basically yeah, yeah, it's basically go down but now yeah, but now you can go down to like quote unquote ground level and like control your hero, yeah, and go around and fight and shit like that. And it looked again he knows, it looks meta, like it's aware of its own ridiculousness. So that's why I like Peter Malla new games, because they have a sense of humor like that. So this one looks fun and it would be really fun to play as kind of a new modern age. Black and white. Finley's barking black and White. Yeah, so because like you know, we can't play black and White anymore. I have it on PC. I think, Nathaniel, I don't know if you took the copies home or whatever, but like you wouldn't be able to run that today on fucking ideas. I got it running. I got it running. It was quite a pain in the ass. Really, Well, there you go. The fucking songs. So oh the songs are the best. Oh yeah, yeah, that's true. So you know, but I think that it'll be a fun little, I guess call back to that. So I'm looking forward to maybe trying that because it's been a long time since I've played an actual Peter MALLINU game. I don't think he's involved in the New Fable at all, even though he was like the you know, the puppet master of the first one, original one on Xbox. So anyway, yeah, that might be fun cool. I've got Crimson Dessert. Do you see that one, Crimson Dessert, Crimson Desert. It's like it's from the same people who did the MMO Crimson Black Desert, Black Desert Online, the Korean company, but this one's single player more like action RPG. Looks like kind of like a Final Fantasy sixteen. Oh yeah, yah yah, yeah yeah, I remember. I remember when it was announced a long time ago, and it looked it's und familiar. It looked crazy like the graphics. Now that you're actual you've seen gameplay, the graphics still look pretty damn good. You know, the one with the winter scene, the winter fighting scene. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, and it looks pretty good. The fighting looks cool, looks visceral, like cutting the animations like cutting through. I thought it was John Snow fighting there for something. Yeah, it was pretty sweet. Yeah, he looks exactly like John Snow Now if you played Black Desert, the fighting was sick in Black Desert. The animations, like the Koreans know how to do that. Like, I don't know what the hell it is, but the animations for all the characters look really nice and smooth and crisp and flowy, and I caught that in this game as well. Cutting through the blood goes in that direction that you've cut the person, you know, the snow crunches under the feet, all this kind of stuff. And then the boss fight that they showed with the big yetti dearhead dude, it was sweet. That looked really really cool. Damn, the graphics are very pretty. I I don't remember seeing quite this. Yeah, they showed the devil with the big yetti. This is a spectacle fighting the big yetti dude. Voice acting was decent for like one of those Kaream games as well. The voice acting was better than what's called uh Berlin. Yeah, but like, yeah, it looks cool. It's been in the making for quite a while. I remember now it's quite quite a bit of go. But I'll be keeping my eyes out for this one now. Okay, the next one that I have is actually out already, oh apparently, and it's free to play. But it's a game called Predecessor. I've never heard of this game. I've never heard of this game, Predecessor. It was like a third person like Moba. It's a fusion of I can tell you shooter action and Moba Strategy. Apparently has more than two million players, and it was an unreal engine. That's more than Concord. That's more than Concord. But the. Recent reviews are mixed, but overall mostly positive. Eleven thousand reviews by Omida Studios. So this came out game. So Epic had this as a demo long time ago. So whenever Epic Games like first launched, this was one of like the free games you could download to like try out their engine and stuff like that. Oh and then they just like stopped, and I think these guys picked it up, bought whatever rights, and then started finishing it and like cleaning it up and creating an actual game out of it. Interesting we should try it. I think I have it or I played the I played the original like demo thing, but it was cool. It's like a mobile where you play one person. Yeah, it's like Smite. Yeah, it's like Smite, I guess yeah. Or both guns and ship yeah, and like inabilities. Yeah. Yeah, it's like a shooter mobile. Loo's cool. It looked pretty cool. I don't know visually it looked cool, but I guess that's because it's Unreal Engine five, which I didn't know, which is cool. So maybe maybe we should try it. It's free to play too on Epic free to play on Steam too. Oh on Steam? Fuck Epic Games. Why would I even launch that? Yeah, let's try that then, Yeah, we can try it, Dan, all right. The next one I have written down is I think we all have this one down though. Oh yeah, let's hear it. Well, I don't know if it's the one you think I'm going to anyway, I vowed I still think that this game. Did you watch the fulls going? Did you watch the thing I linked? Yeah? Yeah, I still think it's going to be very cool. And I remember some hesitation from you guys. I think they relieve that for me through this game. But I just think we looked pretty cool a little bit more as with all things, you know, it definitely looked very very cool, cool, like the idea. They almost went through a whole quest in the video and compared to what they were showing earlier, like it not Night and Day, but there's it's a lot more full and robust and you know what I mean, like not to lack of like Skyrim. It's more like Skyrim that messiah of heroes might magic. Oh yeah, god, I love great game. Yeah I do remember that. But yeah, I like the dialogue options and like just the freedom. There's a lot of dialogue influence and ship. Yeah, there was a lot more I think boring from Balder's Gate probably there, right, so they do they do the Pillars of Eternity, right, That's what this is, what this world is in. I think Pillars of Eternity and Pillars of Eternity is just another like Balder's Gate esque game where it's like the top down massive RPGs with massive amounts of story. But it's like they're bringing you from there into a first person fantasy version of it. And it looks sick, it looks very I'm very impressible I saw with this gameplay playthrough. Yeah, yeah, this has definitely knocked it up a notch on my notch board thing. But yeah, before I was like, I'm not playing that, But now do. You remember why you would say that? I don't know, just because what they showed wasn't really I don't know, it wasn't it wasn't interesting to me. Whatever they showed, it was just like, oh, wand wand wand. And they didn't show any if the the I don't know if they showed any of the dialogue option stuff, any of that kind of stuff. At least this they took us through like a quest, and I was like, oh, okay, that's pretty cool. They showed us the flow the loop, and it did remind me of Skyrim. But the guy that they met and they're like, oh, this guy and he's like talking like okay, he wants you to help him, but he's actually you know, turns on you and like of course, but that's what it reminded me so much of Skyrim, But like it would be it would be fun to you know, to go into So yeah, I might play it. Maybe. I think it'll just be a really cool like if you're craving a good fantasy RPG that's kind of set in a world that maybe is not so familiar, and you just want to get a fresh kind of perspective on a new game kind of thing, a new world to delve into. I feel like this is gonna be a good box to check for that, Yeah, because. I think not a lot of people jumped into the Pillars of Eternity. I wanted to, but I don't really know what that is. It's got no controller support, so I couldn't play it on my my legion go. But I've heard fantastic things of the Pillars of Eternity games and universe, so this could be very very good Obsidian, you know they're good. I'm slightly swaying towards it my. Turn now, speaking of a vowed it got pushed back to February. What is it, eighteenth now? Something like that, Oh, twenty twenty five, twenty twenty five. You know what else comes out that same week? Yes, Kingdom come Deliverance too? Oh comes same week? Comes out eight days? Oh sorry, a week earlier, eight days earlier or something like that. Who am I giving the edge up to? Probably Kingdom come to like Oh yeah, I fucking missed that game. Oh my god, did you guys watch the thing? I linked? Yes, yeah, Oh, make sure watch that. This is gonna be an absolute gem. It's like it looks what they wanted to do in the first one but couldn't because of like tech limitations and like all this stuff. It's it's time they're finally putting it into like what they wanted to do for the first one. The voice acting is so fucking good. It's so good, some of the best I've ever heard in a video game or even like a TV series, like an animated TV series, Like this is top not shit that you're gonna get in this game. Music, yeah, sound, Oh my god, fucking awesome. I love to how the music is so I love how the music is so weird because it's just really like authentic sounding medieval music. So when you're fighting, it's just these little fucking recorders. But they also have like some nice string stuff or whatever, because they choose their moments for the more cinematic shit. But it's really funny to be playing a video game with more authentic period music. Yeah. And he was like, yes, I am looking very much like Yeah, And he was saying that he brought in all these experts for the music, the fighting, the clothing, that all these experts for that like medieval time in that area and all that stuff. And he's like, we've tried to get it as close as we could to to like authenticity, but keeping it as a video game, right and not a sim. Still fun and sun because like, you know, how realist, how good is the most realistic you can get it. It's like, well, at that point it might become a little bit boring and dull because it's still a game. Yeah. I remember him saying that, and I agreed. I was like, yes, and that's why I loved because I don't need it to be a fucking simulation that medieval dynasty game I'm done with. I played maybe two hours. I starved to death and I was like, that's it. I'm done. Start. You know you would start to death for sure, Yes, I probably would. But at least Kingdom comes like fun. You know, when you're playing a character and you know you can just like eat to survive and it's the basic function stuff that you can just get through pretty easily, and that is funny. But make the fighting down, you know, So yeah, but he brought in like their big focus is expert sorry, is research, and I think that's a huge thing for what makes them stand out from other developers is making sure their game is authentic and but also organic and just kind of historically informed. I think that's why such as. A geek for the first one, because that's why I played it because I was I was in a huge like Middle Ages, I don't know what you call it, a binge where I was just like reading all sorts of stuff and I was watching all sorts of documentaries and I was like, oh my god, this game is like hitting all those things. But yeah, lots of new weapons. We saw some more footage of combat, you know with the firearms. Which is a big deal. But they talked about those being kind of uber weapons, like a special weapon that you can't just use like Willy nilly. I think you have like one shot and it's one kill, but then you have to I don't know if it's automatic, but he said you'd switch back to your sword after. Kind of thing does take five minutes. Yeah, I don't know, but it might be like a special move kind of thing where you use it wisely, which is really cool. Because he said, at around the fourteen hundred, early fourteen hundreds is when they were starting to see these like gunpowder weapons, and that is the time in which this is set. So they kind of like introduced it as a new weapon. Very cool, very cool. Geez, did you hear me? It's like the main Sea is going to have thousands of NPCs doing their thing all day and react and remember you and all this shit it's going to remit. How is that possible? If we think back to Dragon's Dogma and how there are like ten NPCs they had in that main city were popping in and out and making your computer overheat and blow up, Like, how the fuck are they going to do this? I don't know, we'll see. I am looking forward to it being on Series X though, and actually like enhanced with a good resolution, and you know, because the last time I loaded up the first one on Serious, I was like, oh, yeah, it'll be nice to have a new, updated game for the new jen. That's probably what I'm looking forward to the most is just seeing it. Oh it looks in its food potential, it looks so fucking good. Just him like trotting through, drotting on pebbles through the through the streets there and the water and everyone looking at him, like reacting to him. Man, a living, breathing medieval city. It's gonna be sweet. It's gonna be so sweet. Market on the calendar February what I think that's eleven eleven? I think eleven. Damn. Didn't it come out on like that exact day in twenty teen or some ship? What was what was the release date? I remember I got Next thing. I think you're next? Yeah, I got Did you see that secret level thing? That Amazon thing? It's not a game? Gets series, TV series? Did you watch did you watch the Netflix Robots in Love or something like that. I've seen a couple of them and they're they were pretty cool. Yeah, yeah, they're cool. Now this one just kind of showed a quick like flashing. But I did see Keanu Reeves in there. Yep, yeah I did. Yeah, I noticed that I saw Keanu. He was there, so he's going to be in one of them, which is cool. I thought I saw Kredos. I thought I saw Credos flash in there, and I. Think they're doing like video game shorts. Yeah, and I saw Mega Man. There's a Mega Man. That's all I could really tell because it was really fast. It was like and it did like a quick flashes, but I definitely saw Credos and I definitely saw Mega man. There was like a guy with like big big cannons on his hands. So I'm very interested to see what this is and if it's in like four k hdr, should look pretty fucking cool. Those are robot shorts were fucking sweet. A few of them were really really cool. Yeah, were I've kind of forgot about them. I've only seen I only watched a few of them, I think, but there's a second watch all them. They came out with the second season of A bunch. The first season was. Better, but what was it called Love and Robots or something? Love and Robots, Robots and love? Yeah, Okay, I think all I had left is something the unanimous between all three of us, and I still don't think we've seen much more but Indiana. Jones of course. Oddly though, and I don't know if it's just me, but like watching the gameplay, it's almost I don't know how long they've been developing this, but like there have just been some shots where I'm like, this looks strangely somewhat dated, but I don't know if it's just me or I think. That's the style. There's like a smooth, weird cartoony style to it. Yeah, I just feel like, I don't know, I just it looks like there's some shots I see where I'm like, you know, could the animations here have been a little bit better with like the the character models, et cetera. I will see, but I guess, yeah, we'll find out. It also has to be it's also got to be developed for a fucking series X and series S and yeah. So that's if you look at it. There is a stylized graphic to it, like they're not cartoon fully, but it's like like smoothly pasteli. It kind of looks like there's definitely a style there, like a graphic style that and it's coming on on PS five later on yeah, and like dang, the first half of twenty twenty five or something, which I can't I can't wait for that. I'm not going to wait, which sucks. I would rather play it on the couch on a console. I think. Yeah, yeah, it's cool. I love the they showed well. They did show footage from more of the hand to hand fighting, like punching and shit, and I like how the hand like the fighting is really lined up with like the old fashioned kind of action movies from you know, the eighties and stuff where you just see like that nice, that nice solid uppercut boom and you can almost sound that cheesy, yeah, kind. Of shitty stupid. Yeah. So that looks really fun because I like how they're leaning into that and it's not just kind of like a regular punch, but they made it look you know, like very choreographed, like it would have been back in the eighties in a movie that took place in the thirties kind of thing, because Spielberg was inspired by all those films in like the forties and the fifties, so you got that that style. So I think it'll still be really cool. It's just like there were a couple of moments where I was like, huh, that looks a little older or some shit. I don't know. Maybe my eyes were playing tricks, I think, but that's kind of it. That's what I had. The more the big ones anyway, Yeah, the more they show Indie like, it's like yes, you know, like the more they show it, the more I'm just like, oh yeah, oh, yeah. I now play another like Uncharted Style Indiana Style. Obviously this I think this is the last you're gonna see. I think they're gonna keep the rest under wraps because like in December, we have a release date now yeah, late first week, second week, Yeah, December ninth. So that's close. I said December ten. But yeah, man, it's gonna be good. I might have to like sub to game Pass for a month to play it when I have some time. That's my baby. The baby's gonna come out, and then that baby's gonna come out. So like what am I supposed to do in your life? Oh? By the way, Kingdom Come Deliverance was released February thirteenth, twenty eighteen, so almost almost exactly. Wow, six years x amount of years later? Six years? No, seven, gonna be five? Seven years? Well again, wow? When was it seven years Kingdom Deliverance to seven years development? Right? Look at Concord eight years development. I don't fucking think so, okay, I don't. There's got to be a bunch of stuff unless the first four years was them sitting around a fucking board meeting. Table, or they've got so much shit in the backburner that they're just gonna trickle out right. There might be a campaign. Yeah, yeah, there has to be a campaign. If they spent that long has there has to be something one. I guess they're going to release like a campaign their story. Yeah. The only left thing I had left under my highlighted was that last thing I linked to guys called Black State. The gameplay trailer looked really cool. Showed off RTX and ray tracing. Oh yes, abilities, he's like a future shoulder, a future your soldier shoulder, future soldier on like an oil tanker shipped oil tankership, kind of like metal Gear. So it was like an espionage stealth and he was invading and just getting on this ship and shooting things. And the ray tracing it looked real. The game looked real. It was insane. This looks very good. What's it called Black black State? Oh yeah, and it was looking like it was running quite smoothly for something that had that much RA tracing. No, it's not a mobile game, mobile game, mobile with ray trace? Why did that come up? Black States? Really good? But yeah, gave me a lot of like Metal Gear solid vibes. Looked really good. Some of the animations were a bit wonky. The the sound was like in and out. But it's alpha, right. They just showed like the the art X trailer. But man, it looked sick and it looked smooth. For something that looked that good to look that smooth, maybe they're onto something. There's like their own stuttering or anything. Yeah, with that amount of ray tracing, I am not I'm not getting I linked it in the Google search. It's in the chat for this. I linked it. He linked it in the chat. But there's like he goes indoors and it shows like a marble like a yeah, man, like a like a museum of some kind. He's in there. Yeah, it looks like an an interdimensional ship. He like joint, he like infiltrated this oil tanker ship. But every door he opens is like a new world. I don't know, it's fucking weird. Yeah, that's uh what. And he goes and he goes into like a museum that people are like breaking into or something. And he goes into like a laboratory where he's like stabbing people, and just the reflections and the detail is crazy. Yeah, the reflections look nuts. This is nuts. The reflections are insane. Well, so I take a look out who search that is the color because I typed in, yeah, Black State video game, and I change. I already changed the search engine back to Google, and yet it's still opening with Yahoo Search, and it literally does not show anything of that brand new game from Like, all I'm seeing is black on PlayStation two, black mesa history of black video game characters, like all this fucking irrelevant shit. And if I was still working that job where I was rating online search results, those would all be fucking unacceptable. But yeah, it looks looks really good. Take a watch when you're done. Yeah, I'll check it out. Take a watch. It looks pretty sick. And then and I was watching the Digital Foundry guys talking about it, and they said, these guys are working with Artichs three thousand series cards because it's a smaller development team, like a like a not so big, kind of cheaper studio, and they're using like older tech, so they're getting these results with three thousand series cards. So I don't know how I have a three thousand series card. Yeah, exactly, but not much longer though. Maybe it was crazy. That's it. That's all I got that really jumped out at me for the game's Calm twenty twenty four. That's it for me too. Yeah, cool, definitely just the big ones a lot of the other ones. There was a cool looking side scroller sort of Samurai thing with a really cool art direction spirit of the Samurai. I think it was called There's a Little Kiddie That Runs around with You Kid? That looked really cool too, but it was against teeped in like Japanese mythology kind of thing. Was not really into, but the fucking art style was really cool. It just looked like it was doing the kind of Trek to Yomi thing, but more far more stylized in another way, as opposed to black and white Kurosaka film kind of thing. Oh yea, it's it looked really really really cool, but I doubt i'll it. There was also one that was like pixelated side scroller, kind of cyberpunky. Yeah you see that. I'm trying to find the name of. It was a Space one Space. It was one of the space games. It was like a pixel space side scroller RPG. I look fucking sweet, but they delayed it as well. Oh there was another one called will did you guys see that? Where you're like trying to find you're trying to get back to somebody. You're trying to find somebody, and you're going through all these different landscapes like you're on like a boat in the ocean. You're doing like dog sledding up and the like snowy regions and blah blah blah. It's called Will. I don't really remember what it's about, but I think you're trying to find someone, someone named Will. And no, I think it's like referring to the will to find someone, you know, to go through all that ship. But that was an honorable mention because it looked cool, a first person kind of experience. But other than that, that's between you know. I didn't watch to be fair, didn't watch all of it. There's a lot of shadows in the past. Yeah, there's so much stuff, guys.
