Battlefield 6 and CoD Blops 7 Fall Release. Is this Bad for Arc Raiders?

Hello everybody, and welcome to another episode of the Elder Trolls Gaming podcast. If you are new and enjoying us, we are two brothers who get together and talk about gaming. We may also talk tech, TV, movies, and other nerdy geeky stuff too. The first I'm Nasty night and I am and today we're just gonna be hanging out chilling, you know, with those those cool vibe music with the gift in the background. You know, we gotta when you put that ship on YouTube and you're just hanging out with your with your. Pals and like low low fi beats, the low fi beats with a low fire place. Yeah, low five beat episode, but with no beats with the beats. But we'll talk about We'll talk about some news and what's going on, and maybe we'll invent a topic to talk about. While we just chat. Something will come up. Yeah, I'm sure something will come up. But we hang out. We hung out last last night. We went to the Chinese night market and I got some squid on a stick. Oh my god, man, the I was disgusted by the wait time for those noodles and just what I got and the price I waited in line for a half an hour for these fucking noodles. And it was just like soup with instant noodles. Was it instant noodles? Yes, she's taking them out of the package and just dropping them in and cooking them instant fucking noodles with some beef, like some braised beef chunks and whatever broth they were using. And it costs forty dollars for two of them. Wow, it was ridiculous. I was like, I wasted my fucking time. What a waste of time. And it wasn't even that good. It wasn't even very good at all. It was very mediocre actually, So I was like, man, that was stupid. Wow. I was like, why do you want to drink soup in fucking thirty degree. Well I thought it was just noodles, like like noot, like a fried noodle bowl but pam. But the fucking soup it was like a ramen, but it was instant instant noodle. That's brutal. I'm like, man, I can't believe this shit. Yeah, I want to go get to nice delicious mango smoothie. What they put the half the mango on top and the line was like all the way to I was like, fuck that, I'm not waiting that line. It was hot as shit too. Yeah, it was hot out, stinky and yes stinky, crowded smoke from every grill in the place. Those lamb skewers I had, which I waited two seconds for him, were fucking delicious. Yeah. I had waited no zero weight time for the bow buns. Two bow buns please boom boom, here you go. Oh done, eleven bucks for two two big buns. Not horrible, horrible, but and then I had the octopus leg chopped up onto the onto the stick. That was pretty good too. It's good, but the late times are brutal. Yeah, the octopus. See the way time was. Because it was like one guy working and he was only taking like one order at a time. He wasn't doing multiple orders at the time, so he's just like searing like one octopus at a time, like dude the fuck man. Yeah. God, a lot of inefficiencies at the Asian night Market. Yeah. And then we came home and played some board games, had a good time, had a good time. Should we have? Should we do? Should we do an episode on board games? Is that a no no for a video game podcast? I don't know, you know, would be fun play a lot of board games. Yeah, we do play a lot of board games. It would be fun. Is doing a setup like that board game YouTube show? Some of that and then you can actually learn the game by watching his YouTube video, like his YouTube episode, because they play. A whole play through of Crusher Wesley. They play through whatever board game like they could do a whole play through. It's actually sick man, it's good show. Yeah, that's fun. Anything else? What do you got going on? Nothing? No? You know, it's heading there first, and we'll chat. We'll do some chats. Okay, I'll see you there. Oh we're back. Hello. I'm still playing Death Straining too, and I'm still loving it. I've really started even I've done playing more photo mode than I was before. Like, if anybody's following us on shows, I'm posting some sick photos I've. Been taking in this game, really cool stuff. You're following us, make sure you're following us, you'll see my my virtual photography on there. But man, what a game? What a game? It's taking up all my gaming time? Oh really, I haven't. It's not me. I'm I'm split like between something. It's like, uh, I have like forty almost forty hours. In I'm right where you are now. I caught up to you. Yeah, I have no idea how much longer. Probably still quite a bit, since I haven't connected all of Australia yet, but I think I'm getting there. I've been doing side deliveries too though, just because I want to use my little zipline networks that I create. I'm like, okay, I created the zipline networks, might as well use them. I can get back to that place easily. I can get back to that place easily. Do the deliveries my band with a little bit. I can't seem to do the zipline thing. Well it's easy, No, It's like I think you need to spec in more into the the the contracts, Like you can spec more into I forget what they're called, like chirroal contracts with other players so that you see more of their stuff. So you get more of other people's stuff. And because like I'll unlock an area and then I'll be like okay, and then I see one like player zip line and I'll go to it and it's like no connected ziplines. I'm likeugh, so like it's always one. Yeah, you have to build around whatever you get. Yeah, But then like I can't seem to get a lot of them, Like, but. What how do you do? Like you drive into an area, you place your zip lines on the way to that area, but you can't because it's not part of the chiral network until you get to the place to unlock the area. Market, say you put a mark on your map, say this wuld be a good spot for one from your last zip line, you draw a root. Yeah, and you do three hundred meters or three hundred and fifty meters I think is the max. Three fifty. It's okay, I want to put a zip line here, So you leave that mark there. You go past that to get to connect the guy, and you keep backtrack and then then you just go back to put it there whenever it's done. And then usually once you connect the guy, you get some other ziplines because people have the same idea and they put their random ziplines around, and I use a lot of people's ziplines like I, but. I am those zip lines in the snow area. I'm edging my Chiro bandwidth too, like because I have so many ziplines because they take five hundred each, so I'm at like eighteen thousand, like I use all my. Band I'm at fifteen thousand. I had to delete old ziplines that I'm probably never going to use to make new ones. I don't like deleting my ziplines. I want them there because you never know. Because last game, at the end of the game, they make you go from one end of the freakin map to the very beginning. Now you can fast travel with the ship. True, it's true they didn't have fast traveling, but yeah, just a it's an excellent, excellent game, excellent experience. Oh man, yep, I want to talk about it, but I don't want to spoil anything anyway, very good game. I've been playing Peak with my wife some more. We're so bad at that game. I don't know what it is like when we were with PEAKQ. I think it's easier with three people because there's like three sets of eyes on the mount and you can see where you should be going, Like three people have different perspectives on how to look at the mountain and then climb it. But like when me and my wife play where just we always get to a spot where there's like we can't go anywhere from where we are, and we have to start back down at the bottom, find a new find a new route, get to the as far as we can, and then we have no tools to like climb higher. So you get ropes. You get a rope gun where it's a spirit spears to the side of the mountain and drops a rope. But like we don't seem to get really good drops and these stupid fucking luggages that you find. So like we've been getting to like certain points of the mountain, and the mountain refreshes every twenty four hours, so it's like a whole new mountain, like randomized mountain. Okay, it's randomly generated, yeah, like every twenty four hours. And this one we could not we could not get up this mountain, this one here, so we're just like fuck it and we're just gonna wait for the next one. That's brutal, and like sometimes I find the consistency of the fall damage is really bad. So like I'll be climbing a tree and I'll like fall off the tree and I'm fine, I'm like okay, And then I'll climb like a rock. Bed in every single game with fall damage. Every game, I'll climb a rock that's beside this tree and it's like half the side of the tree, and I'll fall off this rock and I'll fucking almost die, and like, what the hell is going on here? So stupid. Yeah, And then we got as far as we could. We're like, we're pretty high on our last run that we were doing. We're like, oh sweet, And then we found a bridge and we both got on the bridge and we were walking on the bridge and all here is was like what And then Alma was able to jump onto the rock the cliff face, and my bridge fucking broke from beneath me and I fell the entire fucking mountain. I fell. I didn't know the bridges could break. Man, it was like and then like Alma could, Like she's like hanging on the edge of the rock face and she just sees me fall from the cliffhanger. Remember cliffhanger still stillone. Wow, brutal. That's sweet, but it is very fun. It's very fun. I'm gonna get that gaming PC that Rod gave Daniel. You gonna get it back, and I'm gonna put it on my TV because I want to be able to play co op games locally on the TV. I don't want to stream them anymore. For my computer. How good is that thought? It's not that good, is it? What? Yeah, it'll run TV or something'll run. It'll run the co op games me and now I'll play. I think I'm gonna sell this one. I don't need two PCs. What are you gonna do? I'll just I want to carry it back and forth. What are you gonna put on your desk? My new one? Oh so you're not gonna have it on the TV anymore? No, it's too hot. It heats up the room too much, the living rooms, loft. I don't know. I'll probably fucking regret doing it, but m you will, you definitely will. But it does heat up the room like crazy. It's a fucking space heater. Yeah, I think you're power It goes somewhere right these video cards. They were used to like four hundred fucking watts. Yeah, where is that going? Where's that energy? It goes into fucking heat. That's where it goes. And it blows out the back of the computer and it raises the room temperature by like two degrees or three degrees. Like if I'm gaming, like, holy shit, it's I'm sweating. But then it's nice to have it so I don't have to sit in this fucking chair. Ye, Like if I want to play like a single player, but I could game stream, but I don't like to game stream because of the lag. I just don't like it. It's not bad, it's not that bad. Like I've been doing a lot of game streaming for death Stranding. You're using what your Xbox to stream? Yeah, I got the Apple for some reason. The LAG on the Apple TV, I don't know. I don't like it. Oh they there, Yeah, they have Moonlight on there on on Apple TV. But still I still like the LAG. I don't think it's good enough. It's not good enough for me. Well, games like death Straining the lag, what are you doing? Here's walking places? It's fine? Yeah, well, some games obviously be better than others. I should try it again to see if it's I don't know, maybe I fiddle with some settings or something. But yeah, like I watched a couple of YouTube videos for best Moonlight Sunshine settings and I tweaked a little bit. Mm hmm. Yeah, I guess I could do that. And then you have to use the right encoders for the right card you're using, like all that use the A m D stuff, the A m D encoders, et cetera. But yeah, I have been actually game streaming with a different game. I set up with Moonlight and Sunshine onto my server so that I don't have to have my computer on in there, because even playing the Barad it will heat the ship up up and I'm like it's just playing a fucking card game and I'm sitting, like lying on the couch sweating. So I don't do that. I run it from my server downstairs. I install it on my server downstairs and installed Moonlight and Apollo on my server so I can use my iPad and lie on the couch and play touch mode remoted to my server which is in the basement. I don't care if it heats up down there. It's in the furnace room. It doesn't matter. So I've been doing that, and I have been grinding. The by works okay, the touch over the yeah, yeah, yeah, it works, works, works good. I want to get to Legend rank, the top rank. I'm almost there. It just takes a while because how long the games are. It's a grind. But in terms of difficulty, I actually found that it hasn't been that difficult the way they do the ranked, Like I don't lose positions, you know what I mean, like lose rank or I haven't noticed anyway, like somehow maybe because I haven't like lost that many games in a row, or like I either get the progress point or I just don't. I don't go backwards. It seems like that I that I've noticed. But it also doesn't match you against only players of your rank. I have noticed that it's such a randomness is a bit weird. Like I'm in diamond. I'm in diamond rank, which is the second highest, and I'm still going against bronze people, silver people like. But I think it's because maybe the playerpool isn't that big yeah right now. And it's also because the randomization of everything, because you can't really like there's there's skilled to a certain extent to know what to pick when it pops, right, But like, yeah, a lot of people can get random shit that just works and is ridiculous and they just cl Yeah. But I thought I used to think that as well, but now I think, like playing it more and knowing, you have to know which items are good, Yeah, which items are good in a vacuum that will just help you automatically whether they have synergy or not with your board. So that's what you have to know. You have to also know the encounters, the PvE encounters, like the monster encounters, to know which ones you use, because if they have an item that you would help your build, you want to choose those, or if they have a skill that helps your build. You want to hit those. But if you're just clicking random monsters like you're not going to build anything, you know what I mean. And if you don't know what you're looking for, you have to know, Okay, I know I need this item. It's a med tool. So I got to look for merchants that sell medium items. I got to look for merchants that sell tools. I got to pick things that give me tools or medium items because you might high roll and hit it and you have to know that. So that's I think the kind of difference between maybe someone who is like a bronze player and then the higher ranking players. But you do fight against like I fight against bronze players all the time. I fight against legend players too. I fight against everyone. It doesn't seem that there is a matchmaking at all. It's just you play against the player at the end of the day. Now, because of that, I think it's a bit easier because I'm not constantly against legend players or diamond right players who would know those things, and their boards are obviously going to be better than other people's boards likely, But I've also fought legend players that have one win on like Day seven, and I absolutely demolish them. They just have shit luck probably like you know what I mean. So there is a lot of luck. But I think it's because maybe the lack of player pool. But it also maybe they did that because the games do take long and it is a grind, so they maybe made it that a little bit easier. I don't know, but I love the game. I've never actually been the top rank at any game before. Oh you got the legend except for Harstone Classic. Oh yeah, Hardstone Classic, which doesn't really count because there's a lot of bots, like body counts. I mean, there wasn't bod accounts at the high levels, the high ranks, but I did do that twice. But yeah, I don't think that counts. I have a two time Legend Classic Hardstone player Wow Zoo lock no Freeze Mage, Freeze Mage. But yeah, Bizarre is sick. If you like deck Builders roguelike? Is it roguelike rogue Light? It's like a road like light. I'd say, because you don't start over when you die, right, yeah, you do. You have to die, like you have to die how many times before you like, how many matches do you lose? You die? You have a health pool and if it's gone, you die and you have to start a new game and you start over. Yeah, I suppose is that rogue light anyway? Deck builders like it's like slay this, Aspire whatever. Really this is more Wild Frost. It kind of is you're building your deck. Yeah, but there's no like a progress map, right. No, but that's the days throughout the days. There kind of is and at the end of every day. But you could lose a match and not have to start from the beginning. I remember losing a match. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you can lose a pv P or PvE battle, but you lose. X amount of them before you're dead and't. Have to start over. Well, you have a health pool or a prestige pool. It's called So if you're on day five and you lose your PvP battle on day five, you get minus five HP like minus five prestige and you have total of twenty so you can you lose your Earth game. It's fine, it only gives you like on day one, you'll only get minus one. On day two you only gets my stew But yeah, if you lose on day ten your minus ten health then that could kill you. So it kind of is like that, but it is an auto battler. It's not an actual card game where you choose the cards to play and whatever. You have to build your board and synergize your board together so that the cool downs fly off and everything works together and beats your opponent. Is it out yet for officially out or is it still in like a earl? It's out, I believe, Yeah, it's out fully out. There's a new hero coming. I think in a couple of weeks. That's the word, the word on the street, the new hero is being released. But yeah, obviously similar to Hearthstone Battlegrounds, you build your board each run and you go, oh, yes it is. We did an episode about it back when the closes. Baita came out when we got into that, So check it out if you're interested in that. But it is on PC and Mac, and it can wait till it comes to tap blit so I don't have to remote to my PC. Nice, it'll be nice. I think that's I'd rather just play it on mobile than I have it on PC. There is, they're working on it. I think I don't know when it's coming up, But anyway, I've been playing that shit a lot. Yep. I the only thing out of there than the estraining I've been playing again is Pokemon, and I've gotten high. I've gotten the highest I I have before. So I'm at ultra Ultra ball too. I think now it's almost there, almost there. But apparently the the experience to get from Ultra to master is. Like unbelievable experience. Yeah, like how many experience points because there's there's three levels to each ball. Is that reset like at the season or something. Yeah, yeah, that's the rank ladder. Okay. Yeah. I had a deck that I was just flying with and I was finally found something I could use and I pilot properly. It was pretty sick. It's just an EV deck. It was actually an EV deck with three different evolutions fire Grass, and then the psychic was Sylvia on the Sylvion ex It's just for card draw, so you don't put the you don't put the psychic energy in the deck. You just have the Sylvion card to evolve ev and do the ability to draw two cards and then you draw more cards and more cards in your whole your deck is like the play MAT's set up by like turn three or four. It's pretty sick. Well, yeah, that's what That's what Pokemon is. The real game, you just draw until you fucking it's it's you'd put items and trainers to draw your deck. That's that's what it was. Away. Yeah, and then I was like, oh, I started doing like multi boxing with my Blue Stacks Android emulator. So I had like two other cheater two other accounts going on at the same time. So I had three accounts total. My my my original one that I play on, and then the two other ones that I was gonna use for trading. You're a cheater, you're a hacker. How's that cheating? It's just playing three phones at once on my computer. So and I was like, oh sweet, I got I'm getting all these ex cards on my trading accounts. But they know people are doing this, right, so they don't let you trade cards from the latest expansion. So I was like fuck, oh, like you can trade yourself. Yeah, so I can't trade myself the latest cards that I get, so it's like useless. That is cheating. Yeah, that would be cheating. How's it like it cheating? I guess no, I don't think because you're boosting one account using other accounts. Anybody could do that. You could have a friend that does it. Yeah, and they could legal boosting whatever. That's what Console apex legends players do. They're all fucking cheaters. All the highest ranking console predators are all boosters. Really, it's pathetic if you're listening, Oh, to get them into that rank. Yeah, they all have some kind of exploit that they join the same lobby and they have like four different teams that are all working together, and they just kill everyone else and boost each other. Ah, that's console players are, Like, you think she's cheating's bad on PC? I bet it's it's worse on console people using strike packs and fucking sims and all that. I bet everyone fucking uses them because you can't detect them. So it's a free cheats. You can use them. For free, Like you plug your controller into this and then that into the Xbox. Yeah ah yeah, and you can like download scripts onto them that control the recoil perfectly for every gun. Like it's just cheating, That's just that's what it is on the high ranks and soul lobbies on any shooter game. I guarantee you just boosting and ZIM and strike packs. Well, I can't even boost on Pokemon because they blocked it. That's good. That's called a control, a security control. You know what else they haven't done is put fucking dark mode in that game yet, Like, what are they thinking? Just give us a dark mode? Oh yeah, your blasting your red Yeah, my battery, My fucking battery drains in like two seconds. Like I'm like rocking Ala to sleep. So I bought it. I didn't. We only we played co op for like half an hour. We didn't really get into it. We had to go. But then a couple of days later, when was it was Friday night? I think it was Friday night. We played for like an hour and a bit or two hours, and the co op is fucking weird. So like one player controls Donkey Kong and the other player controls the little guy on his shoulder. There's this little rock dude like Banjo Kazui. I don't know, I don't remember that. Is that what that was? Yeah? I think that. So, like you just go around smashing the shit out of everything, like to find gold and find find things like you find bananas. Bananas is what you're after because it gives you like skill points. You get five bananas, you get a skill point. So you're just dummying the whole level, pounding through all the dirt and the stone, just trying to find gold and just trying to find things, like there's fossils and stuff you get, which I guess you can trade in for cosmetics, which I haven't done yet. I'm like, we're not very far, but like I was the one just riding on his shoulder. And what you can do is the person on your shoulder can can copy like a material whatever the whatever the environment is made of. It's like stone, dirt, concrete, gold, whatever. You can copy that, and you can shoot a blast that destroys that that thing that you copied. So while Donkey Kong is pounding away at everything, you can also like blast the shit out of everything at the same time. So you just like destroy the whole level and go around and and find all the coins that and all Pam wanted to do was just smash everything. It's like, can we go do the objective please? And I'm just riding on your shoulder and like yelling at that. It's like, stop, go towards the thing. Look at the map. Can you bring up the map? Please? Look it. She's like, I just want to smash things, smashing everything, Oh my god. But yeah, it's fun. Like you just demolish everything and you can go down deep into the fucking ground. You're creating caves and you're. Just like every what's over the shoulder? Third person? What is it? Yeah? The camera is really weird because over the place, like when you're inside like the mountains, and like you don't have a room for the camera. It like zooms in so you can't fucking see anything and you're just so smash and everything. Wow. It's pretty fun though, like if you like smashing things, it's like satisfying to just beat the piss out of the level. But yeah, I've been playing that. He has a photomode Tooarently I said it's just like a little selfimo or something. Cool. Yeah, that's pretty cool. Nice, nice, nice. Okay, I'll have some gaming news that we'll rip through here. Battlefield six to skip last gen console releases. Good, wait, what does that mean? Last gen? Yeah, like Xbox like PSS four. Why the funk would they make games on PS four? It's not just a no brainer, Like why is this even a why is this even a question? That's five years? Yeah they should. I think we're finally leaving that ship in the day. I think, fine, Oh my god, it's so dumb, like it's it's been so long. Some of the highlights of this article was there was a note oh what else is it? Price leak? Price and pre order details leaked, So there was no official release date for Battlefield six, but we did get the teaser trailer, which we're going to talk about in a bit the note. There was a note that appeared on EA's website mentioned presell presell offers for the standard edition of Battlefield six, with the offer ending on October tenth, twenty twenty five, and lasting until October tenth, twenty twenty seven. I don't know why it says twenty twenty seven, but like, if the pre clle offer expires October tenth, twenty twenty five, likely the game will launch the day after. Yes, right, we're saying the exact details on the promotion have not been revealed yet, which they believe is going to be revealed after the July there's a July thirty first multiplayer reveal or something like that. Unlike its predecessor, Battlefield twenty forty two, this installment will include a single player story mode, which offers a different experience from the previous titles. Right, So, yeah, I was gonna say, like the trailer that we got looked like a campaign kind of trailer for the campaign, and I'm not sure I don't really remember that happening that often like Battlefield to me, the trailers I typically remember are usually like multiplayer, I thought, or just kind of cinematic showing stuff. I don't really remember a campaign like trailer. That's not what I think of when I think of Battlefield, you know what I mean? Actually completely forgot about Battlefield campaigns. The last Battlefield game to feature proper story mode was Battlefield five, released in twenty eighteen. So yeah, it's been quite a while, okay, Yeah, so it's not typically what you think of when you when you think of a Battlefield games, the campaign. It's very much like a multiplayer game for me, but. I think that's what it had. Yeah, that's true, like the battle because it was Call of Duty campaigns and then it was like the Battlefield. Like Call of Duty has a campaign every game. Yeah, Battlefield not so much, so you just think of it as like a multiplayer game. Did they release I don't remember the Battlefield five campaign? Was that the World War One? World War two? Five? Yeah, world War two battlefield World War two? Battlefield one was World War One and that was amazing that game. I loved Battlefield one. Yeah, that was a good one that had a campaign too. Oh yeah, but yeah, but yeah, but if this launch date is true October tenth, October eleventh, man, then we have cod coming out November ninth, then this fall is going to have like two big FPS titles. But however, Arc Raiders is also coming out October three, Ala, which is kind of right in the middle, and it pits it against those two larger FPS titles, which I'm not super fond of because I want to see our graders succeed and not just be like overshadowed by the big games. They should they should postpone our graders. No, they already did. Man, we thought it was gonna come out and fucking. Like, that's gonna be another It's gonna be another kill off you're gonna. Because it's different. It's different, it's not the same. It's an extraction shooter. It's different. Like, I'm looking forward to Raiders more than Battlefield or COD now, so I hope it doesn't. This doesn't drown Raiders with these release windows. But the people who are looking for an extraction shooter are gonna play Raiders. They're not gonna play you know, cod Or unless. Caught in Battlefield have extraction mode. Cod does have one, and it's fucking John gets failed. They have an update it in two years, So I don't think they're going to do that DMZ. They haven't updated it in two years, so I don't think they really care about that. So I'm saying, but like the people who are just shooter fans in general, those more casual which is the majority of people, are going to kind of maybe gravitate towards the more familiar ones like COD or battle Battlefield, you know what I mean. But I really hope not, because Raiders look super good and it looks different and I can't wait to play it. I'm not playing the fucking new COD, although it'll be on game Pass, so maybe I'll play the campaign, but I'm not playing the fucking multiplayer. Yeah, I just like I like Battlefield multiplayer more than COD because it's just Yes, it's larger, it's grander. You don't die as fast, right, You get to run around blow stuff up. Well, yeah, you could die at again moment by some sniper in the fucking mountains. The vehicles are better, helicopters, planes. Fucking Battlefield is sick. Just the loves bigger. Yeah, maps are massive. We spent some time in Battlefield twenty forty two for like a little bit before they kind of like. Ended it. I don't know if it's still getting support. I thought they stopped support on Battlefield twenty forty two. I'm sure that it's still going, let's see. Sure. Yeah. Battlefield twenty forty two officially announces end of support after current season seven number of big content updates, only small things like weekly game mode rotations, server maintenance. That was April ninth, twenty twenty four. Oh that was a few months ago. Yeah, so so they probably ended they instead the next one going there, Yeah, and getting everyone on the next one for sure. Yeah. They don't give you anything though, for like for having anything on the previous one ever, So I don't really feel like there's how's the micro transactions in that game? Is it? I don't know. Didn't even look at them. Yeah, me either, didn't even look at them. But they're not going to do like wicking morty skins, you know what I mean? Yeah? No, or fucking uh what's your face the wrapper butt head? Right now? Did I send you those videos? Yes, freaking Greg Greg driving around on a dirt bike and he's beavis. He's like and he's just like. Driving around and he flies into this garage that we're all kind of just sitting in and he just boom crashes into the fucking ball. I was like, what the fuck is going on? You know, remember the gym coach so much? Right, Yeah, it's his voice. It's Hank's voice, but you get him for free. For some reason, they were giving him a waker, so I have him. It's my skin. It's just a stupid the guy, the coach, and it's just your cartoon. And like, so he has these voice lines whenever you ping things and whatever thing's happened. It's so dumb. But that's that's actually funny though, Like that's it's part of when you're playing cod like playing Warzone. It's actually so fucking stupid and funny. Like Greg had a skin. He was rick from Walking Dead for the longest time, and every time he would like kill somebody or yeah, or we would kill somebody, he would go, I miss my revolver. That's all you would say. And he said that like hundreds of times a game. We're like, oh my god, it's like called miss my Revolver. It's just the voice lines are so stupid as you said them all, Oh my god. But you would never see that in a battlefield game, you know what I mean? No, Like Battlefield is. A meme, Call of Duty is a fucking meme at this point. It's all it is. Really. That's why I just like it's more serious. It's more serious play in Battlefield. Yeah, call is not serious at all. Like it's a joke. The joke, it's a literal joke. It's just becoming. It's just a fucking joke. Yeah, like Apex isn't like that. It's serious, man, serious, shit. Man, that's funny. But that's what I had for Battlefield six. Next up is split Gate two going back to beta after shaky launch. Back to beta. So they're not other unlaunching it I heard. Yeah, unlaunching it and just running betas and testing new shits. Oh okay, so they're not like scrapping it. Nope. Uh, he says quote. We've heard your feedback and we agree with you. We launched too early. We had ambitious goals with split Gate two, and in our excitement to share it with you, we bid off more than we could chewt we rushed certain features, made some boneheaded mistakes, and most importantly, most importantly, we didn't give you the polished, portal filled maame you fell in love with with the first one. So we're going to We're going back to beta. There's not a lot of portal play, like I noticed. I was. I didn't. You don't have to though, maybe they want to force it more. Yeah, maybe, but when you do, when you do portal play, you get way more kills. Really, I got a ton of kills with that play. I was in and out of portals all the time, canceling people's portals, in and out of my own, coming up behind like three or. Four killing portals. Yes, I did that. But like, but they did mention that there was a there's going to be more places to place portals, so they'll probably up the amount of like those walls that you can put the portals on. Yeah, I mean I thought it was good though, Like it was. It's a mix between probably like Halo and Portal. It felt like Halo. It felt it has a bit better. Yeah. Movement was good. Move was fun. There was like momentum in it, which is cool sliding downhills and you go faster and faster, Like if you if you hop and crouch, slide jump, you'd go faster and faster. I like that. I like the those like those events where there was like competitions going on and you could select your pro team to back them, and if and they scored, if they won like matches, you would get certain cosmetics as rule. That was cool. I didn't have to pay for anything. That was nice. Yeah, pay for anything. They continue to say. The multiplayers first person shooter will remain online in a beta state and continue to get support through a season three update and bug fixes, but developer ten forty seven Games is otherwise pausing its planned roadmap to overhaul the project ahead of relaunch in early twenty twenty six. Holy fuck, that's far away. The studio is also cutting an unspecified number of staff members and shutting down servers next month for the original supplic gate its cost cutting measures. Geez, I don't know. I don't know what they're really looking to do. If they didn't accomplish it for some like, what mistakes are they making? It couldn't be like that. I don't know, Like I didn't mind it. It was pretty good. It was pretty good, man, I don't buy. I didn't buy any that shit, Like if that's what they're their goal is to make people buy stuff. Like the game wasn't bad to unrelease it that bad, but I guess I wasn't a hardcore player and I didn't have like, you know, too many. Bones to battle. Royal Mode was a bit yanky. It's a bit weird. I can't really explain how. Though, Like it felt very empty, like it was just like. Maybe I just didn't know the guns, like it's hard to yeah, sort to tell, like I didn't I don't know all the guns, so I'm not familiar, but like picking things up fine, Yeah, it was a little bit weird as soon as you drop, maybe that it's more of a filmy mail you're already thing, probably because like I don't know where to drop. What where do you drop to get loots right away? And if you're contesting on drop like fucking random, like you did die, you die immediately and you're out, Like okay, I didn't even have a gun, so like obviously that's probably familiar anything. Yeah, but yeah, I only played it a few times. But that's not the bread and butter of it. The the other match just. Like the what was it the Onslaught mode? Yeah, I think it was like Onslaught or something. Yeah, it was really good. I thought it was very fun. Prou the game director, I guess or the CEO or whatever his name is, noted the monetization will be worked out reworked as well. That comes after the game drew criticism for including an eighty dollars skin bundle at launch among other pricey cosmetics. Just see what happens. Don't buy it, and then they'll redo it. Dude, you don't has good monetization. The bizarre. I was gonna mention this. I forgot I pay, I paid. You mentioned it last episode, I think, did I? Yeah, okay, like the subscription thing, yeah, I just get like I'm already overpassed the battle pass, Like I beat the battle pass already, and you just keep getting rewards. It doesn't end, it just keeps going. So it just unlocks you nice chests. You just get like a chest every time. But like throughout the whole thing, you get tickets, you get all this stuff, and I have so many gems. Now I can actually buy things in the store. Oh excellent, Like I can buy things and card backs, card backs skins. I can buy that ship because I have a ton of fucking gems awesome throughout getting from opening chests, you just get chests all the time, but you have to win ranked games to get chests. But you get double chess with the subscription, so like you get a ton and the new character that comes out is gonna cost I think three thousand gems. Is that a lot? How much do you have? I have like six thousands, so it's not a problem. And I already bought like a card back and I bought some cosmetic stuff with my gems already, so like I've been spending them and I still have enough for the new hero. Like it is hands down probably the best monetization kind of thing models reward, Like the rewards you just get it and it's nine to ninety nine a month. Yeah, but this monetization was terrible and splakat too. I remember I was looking. I was like, okay, how much is a battle pass? Right, Let's say a thousand of their coins or usually it's like a thousand of the game's coins, okay, but it wasn't in this. It was like twelve hundred coins, yes, and then it's it was ten hundred or something. It was twelve hundred and you can only buy eleven hundred or something. Yeah, it was something like extremely scummy. Yes, no, it was like one thousand and fifty. You could only buy one thousand and fifty and yeah it was off one hundred and fifty. Yeah. Usually, like usually the games will do like well, before it does that, you're off by like yeah, like fuck you guys, just let you buy the battle pass and if I finished the Battle Pass, you should give me at least like a lot of coins so I only have to pay a little bit of coin just to get the next Battle pass, you know what I mean. Or you could be cool and let me get all my coins back if I finished the Battle Pass, Like just do that, Just fucking do that. Okay, Yeah, this is just man. Unfortunately the way things are happening now like APEX, so it's the point completely fucked their battle pass. Yeah. I haven't bought it since they and I'm sure a lot of I was spying it every year or every season. I was buying the battle pass because I finished it, and I was now like you have to buy two different battle passes. They shortened this the length of them they doubled the price of them. I'm like, you're fucked, Like, I'm not doing this anymore. And you can't even play for free anymore, like you can't get rewards for free. In their monetization brain or the head of monetization over there, it must have raned numbers and said the amount of whales that play that game will offset the people who just drop off and not buy the battle pass anymore. So if we increase the battle Pass and do all this bullshit, the whales will still buy it, you know, and those little the little guys will fall off, but we still have the whales and they'll double up on that money anyway. So it's like they're selling to the people who have the money versus they don't really care about losing the smaller guys, you know. Yeah, so stuck dumb. Like the events in Apex. I don't know if you know this, but they have the heirloom events every I know, every season now and you have to spend like two hundred and fifty dollars to get it if you want it. Yeah, so look, if you want the heirloom, you will pay two hundred and fifty dollars. Two hundred and fifty dollars just to get. A doesn't do anything. To buy all the packs to get a cosmetic fucking stupid. It's fucking insane. But or you get it randomly by pure bullshit. I got one, I got one heirloom, I got the knife. Who I have two? But man, monetization, it's just like that just makes it might it might money. In my brain, you would think that if you can get more people just continuing to buy your battle pass, then you'll make enough money, you know, But then they kind of fuck you and they try to rape your wallet. Pure greed. Yeah, it's compute, like pure greed. Like I understand it's a free to play game, and if I play it a lot, then I wouldn't mind purchasing a battle pass once in a while, you know, and then if I get through the battle Pass, I can buy another battle Pass and then maybe I'll you know, buy some skins with the money I was going to use on the battle path, you know what I mean. But they just like they they take it away from you and they just dangle it in front of you. Right, It's like some people just can't help themselves, and that's what they want. They want those people that can't help themselves and they just want to take advantage. And that's why it's called predatory monetization. Your fucking predators. Okay, and you disgust me. Yeah, it's bad. Uh, it sucks. But and from what I saw, I went in to see if there was any new skins I could craft, because I have a ton of crafting materials. You can't craft. You can't craft skins anymore. Wow, where are the skins that I can fucking craft? Hello? What is the crafting material I have no idea for? Like shit, little blue and purple items like shit, like not the good stuff. It's so fucking dumb man, completely ruined the whole system. Wock brutal. Anyway, that's what I had for news. I think there's like if you can destroy like those giant bridges, that's insane because if there's like a if there's like nodes on the opposite sides of the bridges and you completely take out the one bridge to get across the river or the water or whatever, like, well, then. What got them get over? Through? Boats? Yeah, you have to use boats, and then you're exposed because you're just running across the water on a fucking boat while they machine gun you down from the other side. Yeah, it looks pretty insane to decisive. Send it. Oh yeah, okay, the damn. If there's a damn that you can blow on it like flood, there's no way. I don't know. It's hinting in a lot of things, but I don't know if that's something that. Well, they borrow a lot. They borrow a lot from the story mode to put into multiplayers, so I wouldn't see why not that's true. This isn't multiplayer, that is true? Right? Also, I was on the gaming duo with Rob when I stepped into co host and they leaked or I don't know if they leaked or EA showed like early builds of that damn explosion and how shitty it looked. But even before in like the early access, like low textures or not even some textures weren't even loading on the explosion that happened was still sick. And then they like touched it all up and that's how it looks now. Oh man, yeah, I forgot. This wasn't multiplayer. So yeah, maybe for for for the campaign, what there might be like if you blow up the bridge or blow up the dam, it might flood the level and change the level a little bit. Now I can see that for multiplayer too though maybe, but because they do that, they were doing like environmental stuff in twenty forty two or whatever the hell's called the last one where the tornadoes were coming through. Yeah, but that's not like flooding the whole map, and. They need to step it up, my brother, they going to step it up here, flood the entire map. Let's go. H oh. It just looks like everything can be destroyed, but like this looks sick, Like if you can, that'd be sick. Skydwing, Like they just showed a whole They just showed a whole building collapse, like an entire building. Ye, you know what I mean. Then the amount of destruction that wasn't that that was sick. Yeah, there is a lot and that building was pretty big and it completely just like there are big buildings like that in twenty forty two, but you can't destroy. Yeah, destroy them. Yeah. I don't think there was a lot of in twenty forty two. There wasn't much destructurable environments in the multiplayer anyway. Well there's only multiplayer, but like I didn't I don't remember there being a lot of destruction going on. I don't either, But you remember in battlefield Bad Company too. The destruction was awesome and it really gave a little bit more. To the experience. Bad Company too. Is that the Vietnam one. That was an expansion on Bad Company? I think Bad Company? But yeah, that was the one I played a lot. Yeah, I played a lot of Bad Company too. It was fucking awesome. I don't think I played that one that much. But yeah, this multiplayer reveal in four days. When's that? Thursday? Thursday? Oh? What time? I'm not sure? Dang. One hundred and thirty one minutes run time, so to just two hours. It's good. Old Tom Cruise knows how to do the movies. You know. It's awesome. So that's an awesome movie. I'll try to get that done. I'll try to get that done. But yeah, I'm looking forward to Battlefield six. I liked the Battlefield twenty forty two, so I liked I did like Battlefield five. That's the only one I haven't liked in recent memory is Battlefield five because the way the guns were, like the upgrading guns. Yeahs fan. After Battlefield one, Battlefield five kind of just felt me and then I kind of fell off Battlefield and then we got to Battlefield twenty forty two. I played it later on in its life, after all the fixes and everything's been done, so I think we played it more when it was better experience. Yeah, it was kind of. It wasn't as bad as like for the weapon unlocks. It does have all of that stuff, like you have to unlock all your attachments and all that crap. But it's not as bad as Call of Duty. It's not even close to as bad as Call of Duty for that, but it is there. But whatever, it's not as bad. I'm looking forward to blowing shit up and flying some helicopters. Usually you can't even get into help Colloss. Yeah, usually you can't even get into the helicopters because of all the the Air Force new. The Air Force guys they just hog and they just wait at this respawn screen and they'll just fucking spam the helicopter spawn until they get a helicopter. You can't get alicopters unless you want to be taken out of the match and just spam the spawn on helicopter button. They're brutal there. I was I gonna say, oh, Ghost of Yota comes out? Oh shit, yeah, not before shortly before. When's that come out? September thirteenth? Oh, October thirteenth, I think, oh October. Yeah, it's gonna be running ten times.
