Hey, everybody, Welcome to another episode of Elder Troll's gaming podcast. If you're new, we are three brothers. We get together, we talk about gaming, and we talk tech, TV, movies and other geeky stuff too. This week, we will be continuing our video game character battle Royale if you will, Well, we're talking about the results. We won't be doing any fights today, yes, correct. A bit later on, we're going to discuss the two fights that we posted on our YouTube this week. Those were Link versus Don and Kratos versus lich King. We're gonna share our thoughts on the battle and share our thoughts on the art that the AI gave gave to us. But first, what is going on? It always seems like forever between recording sessions, and Nate always seems to have a story about the adventures of Huckleberry Finn or Huck and Finn, I should say, and I believe today is no different. Yeah, well it's just Finn again this time, So the Adventures of Finn. I'm playing video games with Ben. We're sorry insane, and we're crushing some Nightmare dungeons and Diablo and Alma comes home, so I get off and I go let the dogs out for their piss before bed, and usually they'll wait and then go outside. But I don't know if Finn may have smelled something or heard something. But the moment I opened the screen door, like the click, he was like a bullet and he went to go just blast through this door or without even me opening it first, like just I just opened it a crack, and he was bomb. He must have really had a shit, yeah or something. And then when he did that, his nail got caught where the brushes, you know, the metal brush at the bottom of the doors. Yeah, of the like the screen door, like they're screwed on. His nail got caught right in the metal piece between the screw and the brush. Wow. And then he ripped his nail out and and cut his his paw. So he was out there. He didn't cry. He doesn't cry. This fucking dog doesn't cry. So I was like, oh, you idiot. I thought he just hit his head. And then he went to the backyard and he did his thing. When he comes in, just fucking blood splotches in the kitchen. I was like, what the fuck is going on? And I look at his toe and it's just like his whole nail. You know, the dog's nail. You see the little tip, but it like goes all the way back into his paw. Right, So this nail was like an inch long or whatever whatever it is, right, Oh, and it was ripped out of his paw sideways and like stuck there. So they were like, fuck, Alma just got home from her shift, so we got to go to the fucking emergency Veat went to the emergency vet, waited four hours, and then we last out at Yeah sorry, yeah, this is like eleven thirty pm. I was editing the video. I'm like, oh my god, yeah, so I'm out. We're waiting there. The doctor finally comes in four hours later and he's like, okay, well it'll be another three and a half four hours after we're we're done fixing all this shit. I was like, so he'd left them there, came home, slept, and then Alma like a ninja, woke up, went and got him. And then I woke up to them coming home. I was like, oh, he's already home, and there he is with a big cone on his head and hand. He doesn't have any bandages on his paws because they sweat through the pause, right, and they do all this kind of shit through the pause, so you can't you can't bandage the paw up or it might get infected. But I have to put this like thick plastic bag on his on his foot when he goes out to pee, but it doesn't stay on. He just flips it off, So like, what the fuck's the point? So now now he's got the con on since I can't watch him. Fucking guy, man, there goes there goes whatever money I saved up to, you know, there goes puff gone. Man. If only we had, only we had the health care for ourselves that we have for our dogs. Yeah, imagine, isn't that funny? Isn't that funny? That's great kind of Yeah, you got free health core, you get what you paid for a friend. Actually, we do pay for it out of our ass and taxes, and we get fucking nothing. So the animals are the ones that deserve the free healthcare. Most humans don't deserve that ship, especially Finn Fin. I don't know Finn deserves it. He needs he needs me for fucking different. But other than that, I bought Seafoo for twenty bucks Canadian. That one looks sweet. Oh wait, I did buy something today. Oh. I bought Portal one and two for two dollars and fifty eight cents. The ratraced ones. Can you get the ratracing on it? Whatever's on Steam. I'm sure you can mod it. Can't you. I think it might be a free fifty. That's a sounds like, oh I don't have these? Why not two bucks fifty? My opini of game. Just a big old puzzle, just a BEI an old puzzle game. Yeah, it was kind of like, I couldn't. I couldn't even finish the first one. No full episodes on YouTube. Okay, cool. So let's get into game time. Anybody anybody? Oh yes, well here's here's I'll tell you. I haven't really been playing much, but I think I already talked about the the post Malone limited time mode last episode. You get this, they went it went away, right, it went away, yep, and and then it come back. It comes back. No, it come back because people loved it so much. They gave us another three days of it. But after it left, I was playing like the normal batteryal mode, and I noticed that, I remember, I think I talked about it last podcast the best. The matchmaking was way harder than it was previous seasons. Well they I think they cranked the dial in the opposite direction, so like I was playing against people who were horrible, playing with people who were horrible against me. I was like, why why am I getting so many kills, like and there was a whole all night. The night that I played, it was like I had like four wins and like I was getting every game, almost every game over two thousand damage, like multiple kills. I'm like, what the fuck is going on? What this game is so easy? Why are you complaining about that? I'm like, why is this game so easy? Right now I'm planning. I was just like, it's such a It was such a swing from the start of the season when they implemented the the matchmaking, the new matchmaking, and then they reset it after the LTM left. It was like, what the fuck? And then I go play the LTM again today and I'm playing against nothing but fucking full no life kids. Ah. I was just like, what so they butt they butt dialed the I don't know the dial. The someone's butt rubbed against it and it turned the other way. They butt dialed it, they butt out it. I also got Mario Wonder Oh yes for the Nintendo Nintendo Switch. Uh. I bought it. The other night we had some friends over. We were playing four player co op. Isn't that fun? It was fun? That isn't that fun? I just love I was like and I would call it. I would call it an up to updated version of a mix between Super Mario for Super Nintendo, Super Mario World and like Yoshi's Island, Like you know what I mean, because it's kind of wacky, and you know how you like if you get hit and you like die, you float up like a little baby like in Yoshi's Island, and you have to like touch the guy to pop the balloon and drop him down. It's the same thing, so that happens same, but it's a side scroller kind of thing like Super Mario. It just has like better graphics and there's even like some vines, remember Mario two. There's like vines you can climb to go to like different parts. Very cool, very very cool game, very fun multiplayer experience. Yep, that sounds nostalgic. We were playing it as well with our with our friends four player. It was fantastic, very fun, very cool. Though the elephant thing is kind of elephants, like you could go into like a fountain and suck some water up and then like blow it around. Yeah, that doesn't really do anything. It doesn't really do anything, So what's the point of the I think the elephant like smashes, walls or something. You can swing with the trunk and hit things. It's like a it's like a like the like the tail, the Tanukini Mario tail. You just hit things with it. It looks cool though, It's very cool, very cool. Oh also I think, oh yeah, yesterday Pam bought Super Mario RPG. Oh nice. Oh yeah, okay, and she's playing it right now as we speak out that door it's supposed to be. I was curious. I don't know, so you bought, you bought Wonders and she bought Mario RPG. Yeah, must be nice, just buying all the Mario games. Nice, full price fucking Nintendo games. I mean, you know when you make five figures boys, Hey, where's my money? You can pay for Finn's vet bills. Geez, I make a cool ten gis a year. Nice. I have reached one hundred in Diablo level one hundred. I was gonna I was gonna hop on. I was gonna hop on the other night. Finally, m wow, that only took like I can check actually actually a year, when the hell that game come out. I'll check out in the summer. I'll check on my anyway. I'll go through my new June. I think, right, So I've equipped all level nine five gear, Like I'm I don't remember there that's max max nine five plus. Did they just add that because I don't remember there being gear score? Yeah, that's how you mainly look at what gears probably better. It's oh yeah, that's right, that's right, that's right. So I've beaten all the season bosses. I've done the matt hunting, the material hunting, to to some in this boss, to some in this boss. Have finished all the season bosses. They're cool. There's actually mechanics. There's my favorite one is the Beast of Ice or the Ice Beast or whatever, and there's a lot of mechanics and he freezes you and he jumps around and icicles fall. You got to move around. Really cool. When's the next season start? Probably January? Probably January. It's three months so when I read, I think it's Jerry. But the only thing left to do is Uber Lilith. And the last time I tried to fight her as like level ninety five and she one shots me, like I can do a bunch of damage to her. But then when she starts like doing the mechanics of the fight, like upheaval of these like lava rocks, you know, one shot, Like I can't even get around them. I tried like a handful of times. Was like, gotta call an uber for lilith. Yeah, fuck's sake. But other than that, I can try to farm my uber unique but for what reason? There's no real reason to even do that. But yeah, that's it. I want you guys, Daniel, do you talk about yours. I'm gonna look up how many hours it took me to get my barbarian too, one hundred. How can you do that? How can you do that? It's not possible? Okay, Well, I've been kind of just random gaming Pepper throughout the last couple of weeks. For I, I had played around with Forza Motorsports. I won first place at all three races in the introductory cup thingy. But I realized I obviously had heavy drive assist on, so it's like yeah, But then I was like, you know what, I'm fine with it because I kind of liked that it was almost therapeutic to just drive really fast and kind of mindlessly around a track. And I don't know it was I still have There was no Yeah, there was no. Oh, I feel like I'm cheating and I want to turn it off. I tried it off and I was like, I am horrible, but I think it's because but I left the track guide on and I just kept forgetting to like slow down at the yellow, and I just kind of I just kept breaking way too late. So I was like fucking constantly flying into like the barriers and ship. I was like, no, no, no, no, rewind turn them off? No no, Yeah, that was fun. I played a little bit of Uh. I've been playing a little bit of the emulators on switch, the nes emulators and the sn e S. Because I went on to my switch, I just downloaded them. Uh well, I had a ne e S. I forgot. I no, I had sn e S. I forgot I had it, and I wanted to download a ne e S. So I did and on the ne E S I noticed they had balloon Fight and I was like, oh shit, I haven't played that since the old uh Animal Crossing number one because they used to have the little virtual and you could play. Yeah, and I so I played some balloon Fight, quite a few rounds of that, and uh man, is it ever fun? Just classic old fashioned gaming back to basics, just a little I don't know what human they actually have that I got and nice, that's fun. I had a little bit of side pocket going on a little pool game for S N E S, which was like kind of the same thing that you'd see in like GTA or whatever. You had that like the guideline that you swerve around and you try to hit the whatever pockets. That was okay at that, but I was fun because it's just like a little arcade game. I played Mario Party Superstars with Megan. I haven't played that freaking game, like a Mario Party game, and I don't know how long, and I was like, she's probably gonna fucking whoop my ass because like I don't know, I don't know what I'm in for. But I ended up winning with like seven stars, but she came in close second with like five or six. Well, they like to give you stars at the end, right, Yeah, I didn't know that there's like a bonus round where they'd give you certain things for certain accomplishments. Game d nuts. It was fun. I get so angry. Well it was just me Megan and it's some AI. But the AI sucked, so we're probably gonna put it on hard next time. Like when you're playing with like four people and you're whooping everyone's ass in the mini games, but you can't get a fucking star to save your life life, and you're like, what can I do to get a fucking star? And then you're like, oh, the stars right there, and then someone knocks you off the the thing and sends you on the other side of the map. Like I want to toss my controller because I know I'm better than all of these people, yet I can't get a chance. Just give us a chance and then I'll get Maybe I'll get a couple of stars at the end, because I've won the most mini games with like that's all I usually get, Like I can never actually get a fucking star. Yeah, I won a lot of mini games. There was a fun skating one. There was a skating one where you gotta go around and I was just keeping it nice and tight against the boards and I was just like fucking oh yeah. I was literally like this fast. It was hilarious and it was funny because like, I wasn't doing too bad for my roles. But Megan was like, watch, I'm just gonna get like ones and twos and I was like, sure, it won't be that bad. That's literally all she got was like one and two. She occasionally got some and it's like then we played like Super Mario Bros. Yeah, played a Super Mario Bros. Lux like that guess that kind of remake one that they made on Switch, the newer, updated version or it's it's just the same thing as the old games, but like you can play two player. Oh no, just on Switch Super Mario Bros. Deluxe just any s games. No no, no, like the new like a Switch game. It's a Switch game. It's called Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, like you or something, and you can play and I'll look it up. But we played various levels. I was a Luigi, she was Megan was Peach. She's a pro with Peach. She knew like all the ins and outs of the levels. I was like, what the fuck? Good? Cool? But she's been playing it for a long time, so and like she's and I'm like, I still apparently suck at reaching the top of the flag poles. I still can't do Oh yeah, I can't do it. You have to do that in the new version, and you have to like get the the very top to like, yeah, to get your a corn or whatever, the world gets the check mark, right, there's things so you have to do. You have to get like three I think three of these same big coins. You have to get two seeds. You have to hit the big coins. Yeah, yeah, that's what we were getting, were the big coins. And but it came time to get to the flag and she just like as peach, she just like fucking bombs it, like gets it first try. I'm like, okay, okay. I was like, how hard could it be. I'm sure I can get this. I've probably fumbled and fucked it up for like ten minutes. I was like, wait, let me get let me trike again. So I go back and I'm like sprinting and trying to jump. I was like, hang on, let me see I could do it again. And I just couldn't get it. I don't know what it was, but I think it's because you can you can sprint hold the sprint button wild jumping and I was swipping. I was swapping, so I was losing the momentum and then jumping. So yeah, you got a hold of the sprint button down while you jump. Yeah, yeah, which is like one of those old fashioned Nintendo tricks that you don't really learn from anything unless you just do it right. But she's like, here, can I try? She takes it. She fucking nails it. I'm watching Pan play like that and she's just like walking and I'm like, could you play this any slower? Like hold the button? What are you doing? Run? She's like what are you talking about? Like, oh my god, she's just like slowly like missing jumps because she's going too slowly. Wow, that's funny. That's really hot. But they do the they do the bubble thing in this game too, so like if you if you, if you fall down or whatever, you can press like the shoulder buttons to put yourself in a bubble and then you float up and you shake the controller to like, oh we go to yourself in a bubble. You can actually, yeah, you can put yourself in a bubble in case you're like fall bubble boy, instead of just dying every time, like Nathaniel at birthday parties. Yeah, I wish I wish there was a bubble at that birthday party to just take me out of the birthday party. Oh man, it was busy lifting drinks later, so that that was pretty much it. She's she's really good at playing the games. I was okay at that one, but super Mario Kart. We also played at Steven Hannah's our friend's place. I was playing with a fucking stick drift controller. That was really fun. I was like, you guys, stick drift and Joycon. Yeah, yeah, the joy Con. I won one match, one game, one race, and then that was the extent of my luck. I stunk the fucking place up after that. That was it. So that's kind of it, just mixed little things. I haven't really been playing Cyberpunk so hopefully soon, so yes, me too. Also, seventy five hours for my level one hundred Barbarian. Yeah, that goes by quick though. I don't know if that's bad. Three days, three hours in season two seven, and I was leveling up pretty quickly, like I was consistently giving bonus XP. Yeah. That's the only reason I hit one hundred, I think is maybe I should do it right. The last the last two days, I was thirty five percent XP. I went from like level eighty five to two What should I play? Two sessions? What should I play? What character? You only have to you only have three days for the XP bonus. Great never mind then fuck yeah, yeah, all right, here here's the deal. Fuck it, okay, I've got another one oh one more one more? Okay. Uh. Still still playing Lords of the Fallen and there was some talk online like what happened? There was talk online for this game was like so bad. I'm like, I don't know what everyone's talking about. It's pretty good. Like everyone's shitting on it, like before you started. This is like ten hours into the game, and I'm reading people saying all this ship like, I don't know, it seems pretty good to me. The more I play, the more I understand what these people are talking about. Like the fucking glitchy janky mess is infuriating me. It sucks because this game can be It could be really really good if they just, I don't know, put it through more testing around like the edges of the levels, like near walls or near objects, or you know, running your character into a corner of a room and making sure the camera like behaved properly like that kind of shit Like that is the most infuriating thing, especially when you're running through this level. You've got ten thousand souls on you and you don't want to lose them, and then you you're like, oh this, I've killed this guy like a thousand times. I can handle this before I get to the checkpoint. And you go in there and you get stuck on some geometry and you're just like what the fuck? And you can't roll because you're stuck on some like skull on the ground right, and you're trying to roll and he comes in. You just starts hitting you, and then you're trying to You're trying to lock on to him, but the lock on system is fucked like twenty percent of time, thirty percent of time, and your camera's spinning all over the place, and there's just this shitty minion that will take one hit to kill, and you can't attack them because the camera's all fucked up. The lock on is not working. You're stuck on a piece of level like unbelievable, it sounds like, And I'm finding this happening more when I get closer to the end of the game, Like it's very, very frustrating, Like it's now I just want it to be over. I spent the money on the game, Like, oh, it's it's so bad because it looks good, you know, the the fighting is satisfying, like hitting them as satisfying. The sound is really good, the graphics. I said, like, I have a clip where I get ambushed from the guy hiding in a corner. Like I find this little room, I'm like, oh, and I see some loot in there, so I try to go in. And then when I break the boxes and I go into the room, he like hits me right. And then because it's such a small room, the camera is like swinging around me, and I'm like what is going on? And I'm trying to like turn my character to face the bad guy and lock onto him, but lock on is not working because the camera keeps spinning and and he's just like hitting me in the head with this club and I'm just like fuck like that like thatte Yeah, what game? What is that game called? Again? Seven Days to Die? Yeah? I had a Seven Days to Die? Okay for the listener, I guess I just made a clip on PS five of this stupid like the game looks horrible, this Seven Days to Die game, It wasn't that good. I couldn't see anything. You can't see anything unless they have like a torch or a light or something. And I have I'm just holding a torch and Nathanel was being attacked by a zombie in the Pitch Black and I was like, I'll hold the torch, well you a decond and he was just standing there with the club book. Yeah, just slows like book book books slow attack. It was the stupidest thing ever. It was like a game in second video. I'm sorry that game was terrible, it was. But anyway, this I didn't even know. I put it on public and there it has like over one thousand views. That has more views than most of our YouTube videos. Yeah. True. That also drives me up the fucking wall. Well it's only nine seconds long though, like people just click on it. Well that's what we got to do now. Five second content. Yeah, it's it. Five second content. We'll make it. It's going to be a new thing, watch out for it. But yeah, it's a shame. If you want to see what Unreal Engine five can do visually, this game is beautiful. But like I wouldn't spend ninety bucks on it. I wouldn't spend sixty bucks on it. I would wait twenty five to thirty dollars. Same. How did that they had They had such a they had such an opportunity. Speaking of Unreal Engine five, I think it was that that horror beta you played back in October. Was that Unreal five? Yes? I had a video of it. Did you not watch it? I watched some of it. Oh, what ended up happening with it? Did you end up playing any more of it? Well? I beat it. It's only ten bucks. So it's they PLoP you into a forest. It's the most realistic graphics I've ever seen, because the lighting and all that stuff unbelievable. The sound is really cool. So you're like going through the forest and you have to survive fifteen minutes or something without screaming. So you so you calibrate your mic. You can talk, so if you're doing content, you can talk really low into your mic. But if you jump, scare, and scream, then the game wi't end. So I jump, I don't scream. What if you're just really good at not screaming, then you beat the Like, yeah, exactly, that's what I was doing. I had video. I had recorded all of this and it was fantastic stuff. Okay, Like every time I get scared, I was like mm hmmm, trying not to scream, right like I but like, once you see it all, you can kind of get used to the jump scares that they're gonna give you, and you get you get through it. So I go to listen back to I go to watch the video and there's no sound, no fucking sound in the entire video. I was like, well, there it goes scared screaming ship my pants for nothing, I guess. So then I created a short where I recreated all the audio in that minute clip or something. I recreated all the audio, the steps, the foliage, all that kind of filiage, foliage, foliage, foliage, foliage. Scared it scared me. Leaves scared me, good plant, Yeah, leaves, leaves on the ground under my shs. What you're talking about, like the sound of leaves, yeah, the footsteps in the forest and ship. Right. No, I didn't know. Okay, So what really grinds my fucking gears is how Hogwarts got an enormous snub, just an absolutely snub. I said that would happen, and didn't we say that what happened? They got nominated for nothing. Didn't we say that would happen because of the because of the bullshit that was? Wow? Like it just to be expected. Yeah, Like the best selling game of the year doesn't get one nomination? Was it the best selling game? Yes, the best selling game of the year. Zip. That is robbery. That is robbery to the people who was working on it, to the whole thing is a It was such a fantastic game and its crickets. Fuck. I wonder they're just gonna have to accept it as a labor of love and be like, well we made a great game and sleep on the money they made it. But like, holy shit, yeah, yeah I said that too. I was talking to some people on Discard. I'm like, and then they were just like kind of brushing it off, like it wasn't bad good. It was a fucking good game. It was a good Yeah. It was like a nine out of ten for me. I believe is what I gave it. It was so fantastic. Yeah, it's just like the rules that I can't wait to get back. Was very cool. The story. The story, the main story wasn't amazing, but some of the side stories were cool. Oh yeah, the Sea Sebastian story was kind of a main story. It was like a it was sorry, it's the on name story I gave a ship about. Yeah, it was a really cool story. Yeah, what can you do? Hopefully they come up with a DLC and that DLC or expansion whatever cells just as good because I'm gonna get it. That's it. Yeah, nothing to look like nothing with the with the with the name on it. Now, we did have to tweak our prompt after the Pikachu Mario fight. Yeah, to make it a little bit better. We told the AI that the characters should not know each other's strengths or weaknesses. This was after the Mario pas This was after the Mario and Pikachu fight. Going forward, we want the AI to really think about the strengths and weaknesses and weigh them against each other. Yes, that's good, So we might need to make a new prompt about how it does that. Let's talk about that, because how we're doing is we're just feeding strengths, weaknesses and then strengths and weaknesses. I've noticed how we give the prompt to the AI, like who comes first? I think is how the AI is just constructing a story for that hero to'll come out as the victor. So if we put Link versus Dante, I think it's taking Link and giving the victory to Link and then making a story on how that happens. Because Link versus Dante, Link one Mario vers Pikachu, Mario one Credos versus Lichking, Credos one. All the first names in the verses are winning. We've got to find like a little prompt to tell the AI these strengths. I think I had an idea, but I didn't jot it down and then it farted out of my brain. But there's got to be a way for the AI to weigh it more carefully. I think based on the information given as opposed to just kind of choosing what it wants. It seems to use certain things like experience in battle. It is like, oh, yes, well we put that as a as a strength, and we don't on another guy. Yeah, it's like, oh, this guy has experience in battle, and he seems to make him very adaptability. Once we put adaptability in like Mario. I think Mario the Mario fight had adaptability and he was adapting to everything everything Pikachu threw at him. He was like, oh no, Ai. That's why the AI loves adaptability so much, because AI is adaptable. So we have left adapt each other as like strength and weaknesses for something, feeding the previous fight into the AI before the next fight. Oh yeah, we've got to fix that too, because oh yes, let's tell the story. Because we had creatos pull out the tri Force of Courage and us our first run and we were like what he beat the ship out of link. He found Link in the Mushroom Kingdom and he fucking pounded him into the dirt and took it from the reason that happened was is because I wanted to feed the AI the previous fights so it can remember them and come up with something different for each fight. But then after X amount of prompts, the AI gets starts getting confused. Even chat GPT four remember when we had chet GPT three point five and it was doing that shit in our RPG story that we were trying to tell. So it seems to just be doing that again and out of nowhere, Like Krados gets the tri Force of Courage, it uses it to kill the Litch King like the AI. I was assuming the AI chat GPT four would understand that, like those were separate stories, keep them separate, So now we have to tell them. We have to tell the AI in the prompt to keep those stories separate and to keep those fights separate. Other than it needs to look at the previous environment and not make the same environment. That's all we really want. The Mario and Pikachu fight. I got a couple of points, but that we didn't cover last time. A few people will come up to us and have mentioned that, like Pikachu was unfairly represented here. Oh we didn't. We weren't inclusive enough. So they're saying Mario in the Mushian Kingdom is way too op okay, So we have to have some kind of restraints on Mario or he's gonna win the whole tournament. I think Kratos would pound him into dust. As long as we keep adaptability off of Mario's list, Kratos is gonna beat the breaks off Mario. What's stopping Mario from just continuing to get superstars to cool down? Yeah, there's an idea. Yeah, after using a power up, Mario, can't, you know, do something else. We need to find out something to really kind of give the nerve bat to Mario a bit, maybe a maximum of like two power up. Yes, yeah, that's what Alma was saying. She's like, he can't just keep getting power ups. He's gonna win the whole thing because she was very upset that Pikachu lost that fight. I was upset Pikachu lost. Was it a wild Pikachu? Was it a trained Pikachu. Right, This was this Pikachu trying to get back to Ash, right, because that if a Pikachu was trying to get back to Ash, that Pikachu would do any thing to get back to Ash. You know what I mean. I never thought about the wild Pikachu. Yeah, like that kind of thing, dude, level one Pikachu. Yeah, there's a lot of factors that we're not we're not always going to think of. There's a lot of air. That's why we're having here, That's why we're having We can't as ashes, Spikachu, didn't we it's Peaka, Yeah, that's the Pikachu. It's Peaka of the Peak. We didn't tell the AI that it was a high level Pikachu or belonged to a trainer, So they may have came up with some kind of scenario where Pikachu was lost trying to get back to his trainer and would do anything to get back to that trainer, and they kind of maybe put that into the fight. So yeah, sorry Pikachu. Yeah, no, no, I want to rematch. But other than that that, yes, So let's get into we'll talk about the art a little bit. You were the one giving the AI. It's prompts to create the art. What have you learned so far about kind of what you have to feed this thing in order to be successful? How about that for a question, Bam, I should be a journalist. The prompts have to be pretty detailed and to the point without getting too off topic. It was really difficult to get the characters without hitting their copyright filter. So if you put Link in the image generator, it won't give you an image. If you put any kind of copyright material based on a character or anything like that, it won't give you the image. So we had to describe the character. Let's say Link Green Tunic. You can say hi Rulian and he'll go out. The AI will go out and get high Rulian. Right, so it'll be Highlian, isn't it Hilien? Sorry? Yes, and it'll get like someone who looks like Link or someone who looks like Zelda Zelda. Right. You have to describe and then name that character. So I've I've been naming the character sink or or not stink because then he probably have stink lines. The entire fucking AIS so stupid, like, that's the stupid shit that you're dealing with and making these prompts, so you've got to think, if he's gonna he's like one of those genies that are always looking for technical exactly right. So I start, I called him Lens I think, or links with an X. And then when I described the character links, he would print me out link right, and I was like, perfect, that's what I want, and you give him a thumbs up and then he'll remember that, right. And then Dante, same thing. I had to skirt around the copyright, describe Dante and name that character Danks or whatever the fuck I named him. So now the story ISNX and Danks, right, And that's how they fought. After I don't know how many pictures they started just melding together, because after X amount of prompts, the AI is just starting to melt like, I don't know what happens back there, but he cannot keep the characters set brit So you have to then describe the characters again or start. I did notice that in the in the in the credo, yes, lych King, because lych King started looking just like Crado face pains going on. It was so fucking stupid and it was so so like it's almost just like get so exhausted it came do it anymore? Man, that's funny. And then it wasn't as bad in the Lincoln and Dante, because I think Link is like all over the internet. Link is massive. I think it just knew I was trying to get link and it was giving me link. Right. Dante, on the other hand, no idea. What he kept giving me vampire like a vampire with like frills on his shirt and all this ship like blood fangs, Like, what the fuck are you doing? Why you give me? I don't know if Dante is like a famous vampire. I don't know. What was the name of the what was the name of that guy in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, the painting guy, the g DO Dorian Gray? Okay, okay, never mind. So in the end, what I had to do was halfway through, like when I started seeing that it was getting confused, I had to start a new chat redescribe the characters character one, characteristics, YadA, YadA, YadA, YadA. Yeah, right, and remember that and he'll store that in the brain. And then I started and then I continued in the story, pasted it, and then it was good for the next, you know, six images, eight images, and then it started getting confused again, and then I had to start a new chat redo it, and then all of this has to be done in three hours because the chat GPT four has a fifty prompt limit in three hours. I hit that limit like three times in the in the lich King and Cradles fight like it was ridiculous. They turned out pretty sweet. My favorite ones were were Dante and Link. All right, sorry, no, my favorite ones, that's not at all what I'm mean say. My favorite ones were Kratos and the lich King. They were fucking great. There was a lot of great shots. It was a really good one. What I use though, I'm surprised they didn't block this is I said, in the style of Marvel comics for a few of them. As long as you don't give an artist name, I think it's okay. Okay, So I put in the style of Marvel comics, and some of them came out fucking sweet. Yeah, I know, it came out really sweet. Okay. So Link versus Dante, Yeah, we'll talk about did you agree with the results of the fight? Link one. He used the stasis rune to freeze Dante in time and he crushed him with the Master sword. It seems like something you would do in the game to someone you're fighting. That's fair. Yeah, I agree with the outcome of this fight, though again I've not played any Devil may Cry games, so true, I can't say, oh, well, Dante does this, you know. All I can tell is based on the strengths and weaknesses. And like, I'm kind of semi by towards Link, but I the strength and exactly the AI is not we just gave them strengths and weaknesses. They're based on what we found on the Wikipedia and what the AI can scrape off the Internet. Like, yes, in another chat, I would say, what are the strengths and weaknesses? Give me ten strengths and ten weaknesses of these characters, and they spit out a list that they scrape off the Internet, and then I'll go to Wikipedia and I'll say, oh, did he miss anything? And if he doesn't, whatever, and then if he did, we'd plug it in there. So I think it's just simply that Dante being part demon and Link's Master sword is the anti evil sword, the sword that seals darkness, you know what I mean. It's a bad matchup for Dante. Yeah, and the amount of tools Link has Yeah, And I would say maybe Link isn't as impervious to physical harm as Dante is because Dante has like superhuman ability. But right, but the amount of tools at Link's disposal, along with the Master Sword gave him the edge, gave him the edge. It was I think, I think I agree with it with the outcome, but I think I still think the duel is a close call duel because I've played dellike Cry like a long time ago, but I remember it. I remember it was like, you know, action, full of action, like you're flipping around, You're shooting. It's crazy shit. He's very like all over the place. He's very mobile. He's a capable fighter. Dante Link is too. So I think that like it might have just been circumstantial and it could have been very easily the other way, because I don't know. I like, he's self generated hero. He's the hero. Hi, he's a hero's hero. Dante's the underrage in this case, he's the anti hero. It's an anti hero. Is he an anti hero? He has self regenerating ability. In another scenario, maybe Dante could have just like I might have said before, but he he could have possibly withstood links attacks until Link would run out of healing potions or abilities or whatever, and Dante would be self regenerating and then make his move. So Link would have to be way on the defensive if he has no more health regenerating ability left. So I don't know. On a on another hand, it could have easily be the other way too. Maybe that was something we missed in the prompts as well, but we did put weaknesses relies on items, and that didn't really come up in the fight. No, you know, I think the I think the turning point was whenever Dante turned into his demon form, like that was game over. Dante shouldn't even have turned into the demon, right because the masters gave but they don't know each other's strengths and weaknesses. Dante doesn't know what the sword does, so he would definitely have turned into the demon and the Link would have just won the fight. Like that's how I see it, And I agree with what came up. That's right. I mean I meant to say that's right, not that's wrong, that's wrong, you're wrong, that's wrong, that's right, and the whole, the whole, like freezing time thing, like, that's so op it is and that's going to carry I've got it. Yeah, Like as Link, that's one of his powers. He is the hero of time, so he's been manipulating time ever since whenever. You know. That was a very cool twist that the AI pulled out because we didn't even say anything about the specific ruins. So it was really cool that it was just like Link use the stasis ruine. Whoa, that was very cool. What do you guys, how do you guys feel about bullets against Link? Though? How do you how do you Link would handle shield? He's gonna shield okay, and I guess I guess it's big enough that for him to hide behind. Maybe I was picked an iron suit, iron shielding man. I was picturing it like Dante, just bullets just flying. I said, do you guys think Dante with bullets against Link would be like Indiana Jones and the sword guy Capital S, capital G the first was it the first keptul chet? Yeah? Sword guy, like that's his name. Link's got bullet time. He could slow it down if he wanted to. With the station, he wouldn't have time to slow the fucking bullets before they got to him. Nobody could do that. That's the thing. That's why I brought it up, because bullets is like, bullets are pretty op if you've just got a fucking guy with a sword and a bow and arrow, you know. So, I don't know, it didn't even I think it's a close call. I think it was a close call. It kind of brushed it, kind of brushed the bullets off. He the AI kind of just like, yeah, he's shooting a barrage of the barrage of bullets. I was like, bullets did it? See? Did it? See? How shield? Okay, dog, he's got a shield, he's got but he did magnetic rune, magnetic room. The bullets boom. The AI didn't tell us how he was defending against the bullets. Yeah. Yeah, we were just for seven hundred words man or less. Unless there were just bogus bullets like the ones in my dreams that don't do anything. When I have like a gun, like nothing happens. I think I think it's okay. But I think in the end, uh yeah, Link would have won that either way, because that sword is what gets rid of evil and demons. And if your half demon and then turn into a full demon, not against like okay, not gonna happen, all right, what about the art? What what do you think about the art? We went anime style on this one. I prompted to keep the style of Japanese nima with with a thick line work, I said, and cell shaded. I like the the title image like with them just with the shield in the middle. Yeah, very cool. That was cool. I like that one. But there was some weird ones. Did you notice the one with the random couched I was watching it on the TV, like that missed it? Damn it. I just watched it today. There's a the image of Dante strutting and he's like strutting down the forest like path and there's like street lights behind him, but there's a freaking couch behind it, like in the forest. Just like what is this? And Pam noticed it right away when she was watching. It's like it's like, why is there a couch in that forest? Like I don't know, Wow, so fucking dumb, Like where would he get this couch? You know what I mean? Like in the Mushroom Kingdom, you're in an enchanted forest, why would you put a couch there? Ai? What what is it thinking? Where's it grabbing that from? I know, I didn't say living room. I didn't see anything. It does kind of fit the style, though, you know what I mean. It's like a style of it's like an old leather chair. It kind of looks like his. It would fit with his outfit, and it's probably where it came. He was just like it was. It came from Dante's apartment and it materialized in the Mushroom Kingdom with it. The final shot was cool though, of the of Link walking away, Yes, Dante unconscious in the background. How many how many times I had to try that for that prompt? That was really cool. That was like fifteen prompts just to try and end Dante walk away with Link. No. In the end, I had to superimpose another Link on an image where Dante was in the position that I was envisioning. So there was one where it looked really good in the forest and and Dante was there, but then there was dead bodies everywhere, like other villagers were lying on the ground up against the trees, like where was that? Where did that come from? And then Link was walking away from that, like Link killed all these villagers, and then it was Dante's bullets flying past link maybe just like shooting everyone dropping out of the trees. And then the Link that they portrayed in that image was really bad. So I was like, ah, but Dante lying on the ground in that clearing that was really good. So I was like, I'll steal link from this image, put it in, and then I'll try to brush out all the dead villagers that are lying. You took link from another image I gave you. Yeah, I really liked at least from what I could tell. I noticed that there were like different styles of Link two, Like, I'm pretty sure I saw something that almost resembled like a wind Waker type link. Oh yeah, not quite, like they were just different styles. He was holding a sword and like a the hill of another sort. I was like, why does he have a broken sword? But that was definitely like wind Waker style, very cool. But I used the same prompt the style. I used the same style, and it kept giving me like I wanted anime style, and then it gave me the wind Waker and then it made that really cool one with the runes, yes where he looks like really feminine. Yeah, that one was really good. That was really cool. But how's I don't know if that how did the anime get to that? Right? Yeah, that was a really cool but it was really cool, really cool shot. I also liked the one of Dante or he's like where the arrows are flying by him. That was really good, really cool, very like the style from that is like, that's got to be from That's an anime I've seen before for sure, Like they must have was that the was that the one where where I said that the arrows are shooting That was a cool shot though. Yeah, yeah, they're kind of like bouncing, floating. Yeah. Another thing that was weird was they kept giving Dante a gun blade. Oh yeah, like final fancy. There's like three or four images where you can see he's got to handle the gun and then a blade. Yeah. I could not. I was like, there's no gun blade, there is no blade on the guns. Stop fucking doing it. And it wouldn't listen to me. What about the one? There was another one where Lincoln Zord coming out of his crotch, so funny man coming out of Like I was like, what, like if there's no way it didn't know what it fucking produced there for us? That was really funny all right, Yeah, that was overall though, very cool. Let's move on to lich King Crados. Sure, now, lich King Crados. Do we agree with the results, I'd say one for refresher, oh Kratos one not by courage, triforce of courage. No correct. I think I think I agree with the result. I just think it was just funny listening to it, because it just seemed like the a I just was just was loving credosy biased. It's just like there's nothing. He is very drawn to powerful forces with a shocker so powerful. I think it's because we made him a god like, he's a well, he's a god killer too, he is. He's a seasoned, battle hardened god warrior god like, how can you better? How can you be better than that? I know? I think that he will be taking Princess Peach's hand in marriage. I mean he could be knocked unconscious Thor like Thor kicked his ass a bunch of times in Ragnarok at the beginning. Whenever you fight thor Or what's his name his brother balder Balder, Yeah, that fight was yeah, the beginning of ragn What I was thinking was, yes, I agree, and I knew the fight would be really sweet. It's just when I was looking at the lich King's strength pool and like weighing it against Krados, I was like, I don't see this. Well, you could have put it some more like like lych King is also a battle veteran, like we did that was out in there. Yeah, no, you put we put that he was like a strategic genius, like more of a not like an actual he was a warrior. Yeah, it was a paladin. Ye, he was a paladin. He was a very strong paladin. Yet yeah, but like in the end he ain't. No God, well, I mean think about the caliber of enemies that Crados is used to fighting, the fucking giant like mythical creatures that he takes down single handedly. So like yeah, yeah, I just think that it's like given given that, you know what, what is the lich King in comparison, I don't know, I mean lich King? Yeah, and then in World Warcraft, I think, like who kills lich King? Fucking Sylvanas? But like dead Sylvana. She came back from the came back from hell to do something, so think the Valkyries brought her back or something something like that. She became Queen of the VALKYRIESE. I thought, are we going to put money on Crados winning the whole thing? Can we do that? Like and we can put this in the bedding app. I think I got money on Crados winning the whole thing. Who's going to take out Crados? Mario Mario with a superstar. I'm picturing it. I'm picturing the AI get confused with the art between Krados and Mario. Already it's just like Ustache, just a huge muscular Mario, no shirt overalls, some tattoos. So the let's talk the let's talk AI on this one. This one, the image generation was unbelievably hard, Like way harder than Lincoln Dante. Like we said before, they started merging them together, and just trying to fight the AI to keep those characters separate. Was on you. Yeah, like it always kept mixing them and like giving me two completely different characters, and like what is going on? So I always had to like start a new start a new chat, describe just the one character to get a scene with just him in it. Oh really? And then I was like, Okay, now that you've created that character and made a photo of him, here's the next character I want. I got so detailed in these prompts that I was like, listen, I want, I want, I keep wanting to say Crestos because that was his fake name. I can. The prompts are here, like each image is I think named with the prompt that you use in a dark epic comic book style with heavy line work, encelshating. Depict Crastos in the ashen waste of the mushroom Kingdom. This scene set and oh it stopped, so it's longer than that. Well no, they this like I have an example of a sheet, so I would do scene setting. There will be two separate characters in this scene. On the left of the scene, have Crastos, on the right of the scene have larch King right. And then I said, next, this environment in a blizzard swept ashen wastes, molten lavapools under a sky of dark cloud. I was enlightening a blizzard forms as lava flows, undead skeletons laying on the ground. That was the environment. Yeah, these are fucking cool. Man, the one with the with the lych king without a helmet, He's got this long beard and hair blowing in the wind, and it only kept giving him a fucking beard, and I was like, don't give lich King a beard. Though it does look cool when when Krados is down on one knee with his axe. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that one is really cool. The first image with the like the comic book style one. This is the thing is this is just awesome. This is like, this looks like a David Finch drawing. You know, that's what this looks like. It was like when it came out properly, the detail that I put into those prompts where the images came out, probably they're fucking sick, like the one where Credos is fighting the Horde of undead around him, where Daniel saw the ear on the skeleton. Another stupid that might be. I think that's that's my favorite one. It's so good. Really he's got a knife. Well yeah, and then I edited the knife out. I put his axe in it. Okay, I got made it. I made it for my wallpaper. And there's this cool like depth of field effect too. Oh yeah, that's crazy, So to get that check it out. The instruction was to use say, use DSLR camera, twenty four millimeter wide angle lens, realistic lighting, epic like all that shit you stuff it in there, and that's what it came out. So cool, so cool. All it worked so overall mood and style. After I describe the characters dark mood, epic realistic wide angle show both characters. Yeah, there's one with the full character with the sword like over top of Credos, and Credos is like, yeah, that one is really cool, dude, Like it looks super it looks real. It's fucking this is awesome. But there are some strange ones. Yes, Like one of them has like three hands on the one, so yes, I saw that. It's like Lyitch King is holding his sword and there's like an extra hand hand in there, some phantom hand. There's one where where Kratos is like he's kind of like moving towards like jumping towards the camera with like his axe or a hammer. He had like a hammer like dragging behind him and his finger or his fingers. He had like six fingers on the hand and they were all like everywhere. I was like, what is wrong as his hand? Do you see the big one? You see the big one where he's like the hulk and he's like pushing the fucking tower over. He's just he was massive, like I'd like to see the scale of that, that that skeletal quote unquote skeletal structure, Like how fucking big or small was that? There was no scale item. It did kind of get crados, It got credos pretty well, yeah though I feel but I yeah, it's bad at drawing fingers and hands and and it did not. Yeah, Letch King would be hard to do though, because he's got such a specific like helmet. Yeah that it didn't get one single time. It didn't even put the helmet on him half the time. Yeah, so it's like it's very the helmet on the helmet that that that iconic helmets, and he kept also the a I kept making him undead like skeleton. So this is this is my level. It did look cool though, yeah, oh yeah, it looks sick, but it wasn't. It was more like the white Walker. Yeah, he's a white walker. Maybe that what he was scraping. Yeah, so Mike, this is going to read you the description of the Larch King. Okay, so I did this like point form, so it's nice and clear, crystal clear name Larch King. Appearance human paladin, clean shaven, long white hair, blue eyes, pale skin, no facial hair, but that doesn't mark clothing. I said, plate armor adorned with skulls and spikes, plate helmet with spikes, but he barely ever put the helmet on. Weapons large ice word with skulls and spikes on the handle. And then probably because you told it had long hair, so he wants to get that hair and yeah, maybe you can't do that with a helmet on. Oh interesting, I was hoping the helmet would be on and he had like a flow of white hair underneath, you know. Yeah, well there's a few of those. He had a couple of those, but he does look just look like the Lich the white Walker kid there, the King of the White Walkers. But overall very difficult to make those photos. When they came out, they came out pretty fucking sick. This is fun, though, This was super fun to do. I really like looking at the artwork because it's it's so it's strange that it can do that. Yeahs so strange, like, and the anatomy is really good that like the anatomy of Potatos, his muscles, his it's really accurate. I want to not studied anatomy like in drawing. It's real, like this is realistic, Like it's very accurate except for the hands the posing. Does he go on the internet, does he scrape every muscular man he can find right, cut pieces of that of like a thousand different muscular men. It's probably studied art. And the drawing of the figure is studying human So it knows the human anatomy. It knows it. It knows every muscle, it knows every bone, it knows. It just knows the human anatomy. So you're thinking, you're thinking it's like three D printing this, like it's like, no, it just knows the bone structure, it knows the muscles. It knows what to draw because it knows what's there because it has how much information is there on the human anatomy. And it's an artist. It's an AI art And one of the first things you learn as an artist traditionally is figure drawing is drawing the human figure. It's studying the muscles, the bones, studying the proportion. So yeah, I think that's just something it's gonna know from the beginning because it's an artist. It's a AI artist, and that's how artists are trained. This is this is where I can't make the detachment Okay, so I can't believe that the AI is actually like figurative figure and a trillion three million billion, Like I think he's just looking at like a million photos and then he's like taking all the get a style and to get the Yeah, to get the style of the stuff that you're telling it to do. I think so, and the subject incredible. It really is crazy. No, it sucks up a lot, so it ain't there yet where it's going to steal your job, but like it makes good, makes good wallpapers. I had a had a note here about Kratos, philosophized a bit about his win and his drive. What drives crazy? Yes, I wrote, he had thoughts of his family. He has a morality driver. Okay, Cratos also has something good to fight for, that's true. His wife the AI script said, he is determined to find a way back to them, and he moves through the wastes with purpose the power of love that the Witch King simply doesn't have much in the same way that Harry had against Valdemort. Let's say, a reason to fight and why. I would think that usually good overcomes tyranny, right because it has a better incentive and there's like a BBC Sherlock quote that I remembered, and he says love is a much more vicious motivator against say, the desire to quote unquote conquer and control. As for the AI battlescript that was written for the lich King, yes, he did say that. I'm curious if that's the theme that's going to keep continuing, because you know, what are these other characters have to fight for? And the AI is clearly using that in script definitely, So like I would say, what if what if I redid that and I took that out? You know what I mean? Like if I took Credos's will to fight out, it took his family. That's what Crados is. Though that's true, that's just the embodiment of Credos. But we put that, I thought we put that under weaknesses. His like thinking of his family was under weaknesses. But I think the AI took that as a strength. Oh interesting if you look at it, look at the strengths and weaknesses of what we fed the AI for this. Yeah, but I don't know that that could be considered a strength. It's just his drive, that's all. It's not necessarily it's just that it leads to a strength, the strength of purpose. But I don't think the AI really intended it that to come off that way. So his weakness was emotional vulnerability. So if the AI was a little bit more creative, maybe the Lych king would have raised his dead wife. You know, fucking cool. I would all lost my shit if that happened. Yeah, okay, like a human can make that connection. I can make that connection in two seconds. All of that would be fucking sick his wife. And his wife was a warrior too. She was a valkyrie or something, was she not? No, she was a frost giant. Oh frost giant. Sorry, that's like they can fight, I'm assuming. So if he had to fight his wife, he wouldn't do that. You think, what would that make Credos stop and think for a second while Frost frost Morn drives home. Yeah, like while Frost moren hungers. Yeah, like fuck, that would have been so amazing. He took that emotional vulnerability and he put it to his strength, fighting for his for his family. Because we didn't put anything like that in the strengths for Credos. Huh. We put physical power, combat skills, rage ability, weapon fromiciency, and God's stamina. That's all we put see. But what I mean to say is, I think, let me try and explain what I'm thinking. I think that the AI just used that as part of his backs story though it's just like his his context as opposed to his strength, like it did you know what I mean? Like it was just telling us that that's what he was thinking about. But you're saying, you're saying the use that as a I don't think so. But we are inferring that as human beings, that he is thinking of that because like that's just what was written and maybe that is what drives him. I mean, we're philosophizing here, But I think the AI was just like, oh, let's say that he's thinking about this and this is his story context because it was introducing him in the world of the Mushroom Kingdom. He wants to get back to them. Yeah, that was all it was really saying. I think I don't think it and we're making that, aren't there. Yeah, because we think a little bit deeper.
