[00:00:00] Have you experienced the awesome power of the Panasonic Real 3DO System? Obviously.
[00:00:06] Presenting 3DO, the most advanced home gaming system in the universe. It's time to put away your toys.
[00:00:17] 3DO from Panasonic, Gold Star and Creative Labs. Anurl Peiss and 3D.
[00:00:22] The graphics of Panasonic Real 3DO.
[00:00:29] 3DO.
[00:00:37] Hello everybody and welcome back to the 3DO Experience, the 3DO Retrospective Podcast where we talk about all things 3DO, the 3DO company and everything in between. I'm Bill and this is Thrak. How are you doing, Thrak?
[00:00:47] Oh Bill, I'm fitting the bust. How are you?
[00:00:53] We're already off to a wonderful start.
[00:00:56] I'm doing wonderful, Thrak.
[00:01:01] We have a wonderful guest joining us for this episode. We've got Andre from Fine Time. How are you doing, man?
[00:01:07] Hello, thank you. Hello, party people. Am I allowed to say that on the 3DO Experience?
[00:01:13] Hello, 3DO people.
[00:01:14] Hello, 3DO people.
[00:01:16] Hello, Trip Hawkins people.
[00:01:18] Welcome to the 3DO Experience.
[00:01:21] I welcomed everyone. I didn't even introduce myself. I just welcomed everybody in.
[00:01:28] But yeah, thank you for having me on for the porn.
[00:01:32] Thanks for joining us for this adventure.
[00:01:36] Unfortunately, we were going to have both Andre and Steve, but Steve's internet just didn't want to do the porn today, I guess.
[00:01:43] He didn't. It wasn't meant to be. God said no about the porn.
[00:01:46] And we tried. We tried. So Steve, if you're listening, we're really sorry, man. I was really hoping I was hoping to have you on because I remember when I asked Dre to do this, you know, I was like, can you get the other ones?
[00:01:57] And Dre was like, Kevin will do it, but Steve will do it. I'm like, fuck yeah, that's what I wanted.
[00:02:01] So yeah, we're we're we're the two bachelor perverts. You know, Kevin's a family man.
[00:02:08] He has a Canadian man Canadian family. Canadians famously do not participate in pornography.
[00:02:15] So no, never, never has happened. It's never happened.
[00:02:18] So yeah, but we'll Steve will get your back. Okay, we'll find some bullshit you can chat about on this show.
[00:02:25] Well, we'll do something. We'll do something. Absolutely.
[00:02:29] Oh, so yeah, it's been it's been an endeavor. The preparation for this episode.
[00:02:38] It hasn't been that bad. No, it was more just like I was like, I was like, this is it.
[00:02:47] We're not going to get we're not going to get into the news first.
[00:02:51] Well, we could do the news. Honestly, there isn't there isn't really that.
[00:02:55] Well, it's kind of become a thing because me and Bill just like to ramble about what's going on in gaming that like at the front end.
[00:03:03] We'll just talk about some new stuff before we get into it, which is what we do on fine time.
[00:03:07] So it helps when the game there isn't much to say, though.
[00:03:12] That's not the case here. But just taking a quick look at my news source VGC.
[00:03:17] There really isn't much. Let's see. Argonaut delayed the croc remaster.
[00:03:25] Was anybody crocs sucks? I fucking hate that. Yeah, it's it's it's fine.
[00:03:30] It's totally fine. I don't I don't care about croc.
[00:03:34] Maybe. Well, I tried playing it once on the Saturn and that game with a pad.
[00:03:38] No, thank you. It the problem was the D pad analog stick.
[00:03:42] Maybe, but it's very it's very tanky regardless.
[00:03:47] So, yeah, yeah, it doesn't matter the input. Yeah.
[00:03:50] Yeah. The only other thing I saw, which which actually fits for you, Dre, is that according to industry insider Nate the hate, there is a 3ds remaster coming to switch next year for Kirby Planet Robobot.
[00:04:06] Hell, yeah, absolutely.
[00:04:09] One of my favorite games of last decade, my now my second favorite Kirby game next to Forgotten Land.
[00:04:16] God, I will buy that again in a split second.
[00:04:19] There may or may not be music you might hear on fine time that is directly inspired by Planet Robobot.
[00:04:25] Who's to say who's to say right?
[00:04:27] You never know what happens out there in this crazy world.
[00:04:31] Well, because when I listened to you, Chris and Aaron talk about in Superpod, I was like, maybe I should finally buy that game and give it a try.
[00:04:38] And then I bid on it on eBay and I didn't get it.
[00:04:41] And then I just kind of forgot about it.
[00:04:43] But with this remaster supposedly in the works, I mean, Nate's track record, we're not going to get into that.
[00:04:50] But it's OK enough to where I where if he says something or I'm like, I'll pay attention, you know, I won't take it as gospel.
[00:04:57] Yeah, he's not like Samus Hunter or some of these other like have terrible track records.
[00:05:02] This is terrible.
[00:05:03] Yeah, but I believe, you know, I believe Grubb.
[00:05:07] I believe Jeff Grubb, honestly, when it comes to most Nintendo shit, I think he's kind of on lock there.
[00:05:11] But yeah, I don't know.
[00:05:12] This guy is OK.
[00:05:13] I will believe this is a thing because Nintendo has been remaking everything these last two years trying to get to switch to, you know, they're kind of that's kind of what they've been doing, Bill.
[00:05:23] So it's like it fits. It fits. Almost said it fits the bill. Wow. I almost said it.
[00:05:28] And with no pun intended with and with the switch to being backwards compatible, my guess is this trend will keep going and we'll probably get Link Between Worlds, Kid Icarus Uprising, Samus Returns, maybe 3D land, though I probably wouldn't suspect 3D land.
[00:05:45] I think 3D land is better than 3D world.
[00:05:47] I know.
[00:05:48] I do.
[00:05:49] No, you're full of shit.
[00:05:50] You're full of shit.
[00:05:51] Yep. I had more fun with 3D land.
[00:05:53] I like both of them for different reasons.
[00:05:55] 3D land, I think, has better style.
[00:05:58] I think world may be better.
[00:06:01] I don't know.
[00:06:01] I like them both for different reasons.
[00:06:03] 3D land, I just think, is very mid and safe and very exemplary of that era of Mario where Nintendo wasn't taking any chances at all.
[00:06:14] That is exactly how I feel about 3D world.
[00:06:16] That is exactly the words I would use to describe that game.
[00:06:19] 3D world has a little bit more to it, though.
[00:06:22] Not a lot, but a little bit more.
[00:06:25] It has more potential for greatness, I think.
[00:06:28] But it never reaches its full potential either.
[00:06:31] Weirdly enough, I think Bowser's Fury reaches the 3D world's potential, weirdly enough.
[00:06:36] I think Bowser's Fury is fine.
[00:06:37] I'm not sure why people lose their mind about that.
[00:06:40] It's fine.
[00:06:41] It's good.
[00:06:41] It's fun.
[00:06:42] But like, I don't know.
[00:06:43] It's not for an Odyssey.
[00:06:45] Yeah, I prefer Odyssey, personally.
[00:06:47] Oh yeah, Odyssey is phenomenal.
[00:06:49] Odyssey is my favorite game of the 2010s.
[00:06:51] So you're preaching to the choir here.
[00:06:53] But yeah, for sure.
[00:06:55] Yeah.
[00:06:55] But this trend will probably keep going.
[00:06:57] Like, we need Link Between Worlds.
[00:06:59] We need Samus Returns, Kid Icarus Uprising.
[00:07:03] I'm still...
[00:07:04] Maybe Fire Emblem Awakening?
[00:07:05] That'd be cool to see.
[00:07:07] Yeah, I'd play it again.
[00:07:09] I'd play it for the first time.
[00:07:10] I'm amazed they still haven't brought over the Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD.
[00:07:16] I figured that'd be a shoe-in, yeah.
[00:07:18] I get the sense they're saving that in their back pocket for when they don't have a Zelda release that year.
[00:07:25] Maybe.
[00:07:26] Just think about it.
[00:07:26] Because last year was Tears of the Kingdom, and they weren't going to do it then.
[00:07:29] This year was Echoes of Wisdom.
[00:07:30] So, you know, they've had the originals back-to-back.
[00:07:33] So maybe next year, they'll be like, eh, we don't have too much one way or the other, so now let's do it.
[00:07:39] Like, I imagine it's ready to go.
[00:07:41] I thought they were going to do it in 2020 at the height of the Rona.
[00:07:44] I figured they were just going to throw them out there.
[00:07:46] See, I thought so too, but they didn't then either, which I thought was interesting.
[00:07:50] At the very least, one of them.
[00:07:51] Like, I've been kind of wanting to play Wind Waker again, because it's my favorite Zelda game.
[00:07:56] The only Zelda game I outwardly like.
[00:07:59] So I was like wanting to play it again, but I'm just waiting for this whenever it happens.
[00:08:04] It's like the only reason my Wii U ever comes out of retirement these days.
[00:08:08] Yeah.
[00:08:09] So are you a Kirby guy though?
[00:08:10] Like, are you like...
[00:08:12] I like...
[00:08:12] I'm not a Kirby super fan, but I've never played a Kirby game I didn't like.
[00:08:17] Okay.
[00:08:18] Like, there's never been one where I've been like, haven't enjoyed my time.
[00:08:22] Like, it's not a series that I get massively hyped for, but that's because I'm not really a Nintendo guy.
[00:08:27] Like, but whenever I play it, like I played a triple deluxe like that.
[00:08:31] I loved Robo Blast.
[00:08:32] I still haven't played Forgotten Worlds.
[00:08:34] I need to get around to it.
[00:08:36] It's mostly just been a money thing at the moment.
[00:08:38] Right.
[00:08:38] Yeah.
[00:08:39] I would say Forgotten Land is my favorite Kirby game.
[00:08:41] I want to play it.
[00:08:42] I just...
[00:08:42] It's literally one of those things where it's always like, when I have money to buy games, I generally tend to buy something else.
[00:08:48] And usually RPGs, because I'm just like that, but...
[00:08:51] That's fair.
[00:08:52] That's fair.
[00:08:53] Yeah, like, I Kirby overall, but I'm like, you know, I'm not Moe.
[00:08:58] Like, I'm curious, what is generally considered to be the worst Kirby game?
[00:09:02] Squeak Squad, in my opinion.
[00:09:04] I don't know what is considered to be the worst.
[00:09:06] I was gonna say Squeak Squad, probably because it's like, forgettable.
[00:09:10] You know?
[00:09:10] I don't like it at all.
[00:09:12] I do not like that game.
[00:09:13] Oh, there's just like weird fighting games that they did.
[00:09:18] There's like 2D fighting games that are all Kirby characters.
[00:09:21] I can't think of their proper names.
[00:09:22] Yeah, but I don't really consider those like, yeah.
[00:09:24] Those are just things that exist on 3DS or Switch or whatever.
[00:09:28] I don't really consider those a thing.
[00:09:30] The only good Kirby spinoff is Dream Course.
[00:09:33] Block Ball, baby.
[00:09:34] Well, do you count Air Ride as a spinoff?
[00:09:36] Because I like Air Ride.
[00:09:37] I fucking hate Air Ride.
[00:09:39] I think Air Ride's pretty good.
[00:09:41] I've never heard anyone say they hate Air Ride.
[00:09:43] I do not like Kirby Air Ride.
[00:09:45] I think that game is very overrated.
[00:09:48] Oh, people...
[00:09:49] Yeah, it's overrated.
[00:09:50] But I think it's pretty fun.
[00:09:51] I think for what it is.
[00:09:52] It's a fun little weird, man, what are they even doing here kind of game.
[00:09:56] And at first I didn't like it, but then I kind of got into it.
[00:09:59] As like a straight up racing game, it's not really that good.
[00:10:03] But as just like all the stuff surrounding it and like the thing, all the adventure stuff you can do in that typical like Sakurai fashion.
[00:10:10] I don't know if he actually worked on that game, but it sure feels like he did.
[00:10:13] I think he did because the amount of stuff in that game that's in Smash Brothers 4 is like...
[00:10:19] Yeah, dude.
[00:10:20] He was still at Nintendo at that point.
[00:10:22] So yeah, I'm still at Hal at that point.
[00:10:24] So yeah, so he probably did.
[00:10:27] But like, yeah, man, you could you could feel his influence even if he didn't directly work on it.
[00:10:31] And I don't know, I think it's pretty good.
[00:10:32] If you just take it as like a Mario Kart like it's not really that good.
[00:10:37] Yeah, yeah, the racing the racing is not fun at all for me.
[00:10:41] I can't stand it.
[00:10:42] But yeah, the bits what I forget what the mode is where you can kind of like walk around and everything is is okay, but it doesn't hang with me enough.
[00:10:49] I like the the City Rush minigame or whatever city.
[00:10:53] The one that basically became a Smash Brothers minigame.
[00:10:55] Yeah, that's yeah, that one's okay.
[00:10:57] Yeah, yeah, there's some fun stuff to do in it.
[00:11:00] But yeah, it is overrated people. I don't know why people think that game is like well shit because they grew up with it.
[00:11:05] That's why I think game GameCube era stuff in general is a little overrated.
[00:11:09] Yeah, not not saying it's bad. Just like that the GameCube in general kind of gets overrated a bit by oh, it is.
[00:11:15] Oh, for sure.
[00:11:17] Because like, I mean, I know I know Dre was around then like I grew up with the GameCube and I know what people were saying about the GameCube back then and I was the target demographic.
[00:11:25] I was in elementary school damn it. So like and there were people saying shit about it back then that like now when people try to defend it and they're like, oh, I don't know why it was so unpopular all stuff.
[00:11:36] It's like shut the fuck up. You weren't there.
[00:11:38] Yeah, you weren't there popular for a reason because it didn't have GTA that that's literally all I heard is it's the PS2 it the P it was the PS2s era and everyone else was literally eating scraps off the floor.
[00:11:51] That's how that generation went. It was Sony's world and we were living in it.
[00:11:55] Mm hmm. That's that's all there is to it. That's no it's no real fault of the cube or even Xbox.
[00:12:00] It's just it was PS2 time. That was all we had room for. And that's it.
[00:12:05] Yeah, we had to kill Sega for this fucking thing to sell 160 million, which is a shame because I still bullshit the Dreamcast was the strongest console.
[00:12:13] I still think at the time like just in terms of actually like trying to like be different.
[00:12:19] I like you could argue at that time the other the big four console makers there wasn't what like Sega was like the best in making games at that time.
[00:12:29] You could argue that that was the strongest because they were before now before nowadays like that was probably the strongest because their game development at that time.
[00:12:37] They were peaking in a way. I think Sony was not Microsoft was obviously not and I think even Nintendo wasn't because Nintendo was not because also like their N64 output was not as good as some people say, but also people like Capcom was speaking like Namco was speaking.
[00:12:56] Maybe not exactly on Dreamcast all they have a soul caliber.
[00:12:59] Like there was at least our peak at that point.
[00:13:03] There is a lot of it's like Capcom is like a huge part of Dreamcast obviously so like, you know, there's a lot of things that just converge at that moment and made that two year system the best to me. So yeah, it's it's literally the only failed console that I think everyone legitimately is upset.
[00:13:21] It was doomed to fail though.
[00:13:23] Nobody was ever going to trust Sega after 32 acts after Saturn after they were fucked no matter what nobody was ever going to buy Dreamcast.
[00:13:30] It did they made they did everything correct with Dreamcast and it didn't matter. It just didn't matter. People were done with Sega and unfortunately and I kind of knew that going in even at the time, you know, I was thinking like, okay, this thing is probably going to flop like the others and I'm just gonna I'm going full force with it.
[00:13:47] I'm getting all the games I can for it. I felt like it was going to be a flop and it was so at the time think it was the end of Sega.
[00:13:56] We didn't necessarily you know, I at least in my circles, we didn't necessarily think that we didn't think they were going to go third party in the middle of the Dreamcast era and just be like, okay, what what the fuck that was like one of the biggest announcements basically of my life like that was just crazy talk to me.
[00:14:13] So no, we didn't think that was going to be the end of Sega. We just thought okay, maybe they'll lay low for a bit and try again in 2004 or whatever, but no, they just went third party. That was a shocker. Yeah, so yeah, the Dreamcast to me is it's it's the ultimate counter argument to when people say oh, if you just make good games, you'll do just fine as a console maker and it's like it is a load of horseshit and the prime example is the Dreamcast because Sega their first party lineup on the Dreamcast.
[00:14:41] Like who else has topped that like I mean like Super Nintendo era Nintendo maybe, you know, I don't even think then because that's one thing I think is like what Bill was saying about the Gamecube era.
[00:14:53] I think there's a lot of like SNES people consider like tip-top games that I just don't think are I think that for me. That's how I feel about the how the way feels about Cube the West way feel about SNES but SNES is a great system because there's like the vast sea of like incredible games where you could just pick up anything and it's like it's going to be good, right?
[00:15:16] You can't say I don't think you can say that about Genesis or especially not NES or Master System or anything, right?
[00:15:22] So I feel like you have a decent chance of those games being good and that's the real strength of Super Nintendo to me not like fucking Donkey Kong Country or something.
[00:15:30] Yeah, and crazy enough.
[00:15:31] I think Dreamcast has that same kind of quality where like there's a good chance you just pick a random game from the library and it'll be good.
[00:15:38] There are some stinkers on the Dreamcast but there's really not that many.
[00:15:42] There's not that many.
[00:15:43] The hit rate is so high on SNES and Dreamcast.
[00:15:46] Yeah, exactly.
[00:15:48] It's actually very interesting.
[00:15:49] Like I was thinking of like Stuck like kind of like not a Dreamcast but like when you look at like the PlayStation versus the N64.
[00:15:57] Like Scott the Waz said it best in one of his videos where he was like most N64 owners like they'll give you like their favorite games to play.
[00:16:06] And if you compare that next to like a number of like other N64 owners, you're probably going to get the same list.
[00:16:13] But if you go with PlayStation, you'll get like say like you'll pull 10 people on their favorite games for the PlayStation.
[00:16:19] It's very likely all of those lists are going to be vastly different.
[00:16:23] Yeah.
[00:16:24] Yeah.
[00:16:24] I mean, you'll probably see some crossover with certain games but not to the same extent as the N64 because the N64 only had like 20 good games.
[00:16:32] So like people just picked the same 20 games.
[00:16:36] Yeah.
[00:16:36] Because that's what we had.
[00:16:38] Those were the games and those were the games people.
[00:16:41] And even if whether they're good or not, it's just people.
[00:16:44] Those are the games people bought.
[00:16:45] There were slim pickings on that system basically the whole time it existed.
[00:16:50] And so, yeah, you know, and I am not an N64 complete hater.
[00:16:54] They're obviously, you know, I think especially Americans, North Americans in general, just overrated.
[00:17:00] At the same time, yeah.
[00:17:01] Like, you know, Bill's correct.
[00:17:03] And that's why like when people talk about like PS1 versus N64, it's not even like I don't even know what we're talking about there.
[00:17:11] You were there.
[00:17:12] How could it even be a comparison?
[00:17:15] How could it even be a comparison?
[00:17:16] And that's the thing.
[00:17:17] You were there and you weren't like a small child who wasn't aware.
[00:17:21] Like you were a teenager.
[00:17:22] You saw it all happen.
[00:17:24] So your perspective is, I think, more accurate than a lot of YouTubers probably my age who are just like, you know, oh, this was like the hot shit everywhere.
[00:17:32] And it's like, not really.
[00:17:33] That's what it's a YouTube revisionist history of the.
[00:17:37] And video game history is very Nintendo centric.
[00:17:41] It's very Nintendo pilled, you know, like like people like going back to Sega.
[00:17:45] People often downplay how powerful Sega was at the time.
[00:17:48] And it's completely untrue.
[00:17:51] Like Sega.
[00:17:52] And you know, probably from listening to my time, I'm a Nintendo guy.
[00:17:55] I fucking love Nintendo.
[00:17:57] All three of us on fine time are Nintendo guys.
[00:17:58] That's kind of almost like the base of the show, practically.
[00:18:01] But we'd also but we also tell it like it is.
[00:18:04] You know, we don't we don't go in there and say, oh, yeah, all this was, you know, I don't I don't agree with a lot of Nintendo people that way.
[00:18:11] You know, that's fair.
[00:18:12] Yeah, I grew up with both.
[00:18:13] I had an NES and a Genesis, so I kind of saw both.
[00:18:16] And I preferred the Sega because Genesis is better than the NES.
[00:18:19] I think that's an easy, easy thing to say.
[00:18:22] Is it?
[00:18:24] I don't know.
[00:18:25] I like the Genesis more.
[00:18:26] I never thought about that.
[00:18:28] It's not a fair comparison.
[00:18:29] It's really not.
[00:18:30] No, it's not really.
[00:18:31] But I've just I've just never put that thought in my brain before.
[00:18:34] So I'm thinking like, is it really?
[00:18:36] Yeah, I don't know.
[00:18:37] Maybe, maybe.
[00:18:37] But I like the Genesis more, so I always associated with Sega more.
[00:18:40] And still to this day, I'm a Sega guy.
[00:18:43] So it's just Sega is in my blood.
[00:18:46] Maybe that's why I like Xbox so much.
[00:18:48] Maybe.
[00:18:49] I mean, I'm a PlayStation kid from beginning to pretty much now.
[00:18:52] I'm not a Sony fanboy by any means.
[00:18:54] I just like the PlayStation controller.
[00:18:56] And that's kind of why I've stuck with them so much.
[00:18:58] That's fair.
[00:18:59] The way I've always looked at it, though, is like the reason why I'm into retro gaming is because I fell in love with the Dreamcast and like the history of the Dreamcast and just going back in time.
[00:19:07] And I discovered the 3DO.
[00:19:09] And now I'm obsessed with this wonderful.
[00:19:11] What a system.
[00:19:12] Piece of junk.
[00:19:13] What a system.
[00:19:15] So maybe before we get into the topic for today, Dre, do you have before this podcast, did you have any history with the 3DO?
[00:19:24] Any knowledge of it?
[00:19:25] I mean, you were around when this system was new.
[00:19:28] Yeah.
[00:19:30] I'm not trying to make you old, I swear.
[00:19:32] Well, I'm going to I'm going to date myself right now.
[00:19:35] My dad played in a local band.
[00:19:37] We grew up in San Diego.
[00:19:38] He played in a local band and one of his bandmates.
[00:19:41] I went over his house one time.
[00:19:42] I don't know if they're doing band practice or whatever, but they had two sons roughly around my age and they had a 3DO.
[00:19:50] It was the only place I ever saw one or played one.
[00:19:53] And they had like I'm trying to this is like 1994.
[00:19:57] So I don't even know if Gex was out.
[00:19:59] Was it?
[00:20:00] Was that 95?
[00:20:01] I don't remember.
[00:20:02] Yeah.
[00:20:02] See, I can't.
[00:20:03] That's the thing.
[00:20:04] I cannot remember what I played.
[00:20:06] I don't think we played like Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo.
[00:20:09] That must have also been 95.
[00:20:10] I think.
[00:20:11] See, that's the thing.
[00:20:12] I cannot remember what we played on Street Fighter 2 was 94.
[00:20:16] It just kind of like it kind of came out and then it was just kind of the thing is a lot of people didn't realize it was like the greatest port of the game at the time because a lot of people were just kind of like, oh, it's another Street Fighter port.
[00:20:28] Oh, yeah.
[00:20:28] No, it's a it's a baller port.
[00:20:30] The music.
[00:20:31] Oh, my God.
[00:20:33] Oh, yeah.
[00:20:33] It's literally the only thing about that game that sucks is the controller.
[00:20:38] Yeah.
[00:20:38] Where you were like Capcom had to make a special controller just for it to play on the 3DO, which, to be fair, there is a variant of the Capcom fight pad for the Genesis as well, because the Genesis had a three button controller at the time when when the Champion Edition first came out.
[00:20:55] And I do have the Capcom fighting pad.
[00:20:57] I don't think I have it readily available, but I do have one.
[00:20:59] And I showed it.
[00:21:01] In fact, if you go to our Street Fighter episode and go to the video, I show you all the thing.
[00:21:06] And it is it's a weird it's a weird monstrosity of a controller.
[00:21:10] Yeah, I see.
[00:21:10] I've seen it.
[00:21:11] It is weird.
[00:21:12] No, but yeah, that's the only time I ever played a 3DO.
[00:21:14] That's the only household I've ever been to that had a 3DO.
[00:21:19] So like, yeah, it's very, very limited experience here.
[00:21:22] And again, I can't even remember what we played so that I must have.
[00:21:26] I don't know.
[00:21:26] I found it.
[00:21:27] I thought it was OK.
[00:21:28] Excuse me.
[00:21:29] I'm speaking right now.
[00:21:30] OK, the show is 3DO.
[00:21:32] Shut up.
[00:21:33] OK, this is my show now.
[00:21:37] It has Capcom laser etched into it, man.
[00:21:40] That thing is.
[00:21:41] I don't know.
[00:21:42] It looks cancerous.
[00:21:43] It looks very bizarre.
[00:21:45] I'm very concerned for its health.
[00:21:46] It's more comfortable than you'd think.
[00:21:49] The way I always looked at it is it looks like an arcade cabinet.
[00:21:54] Like they put the actual like the buttons kind of off to the side like a cabinet.
[00:21:57] And then the defense is supposed to be like where the joystick would be.
[00:22:00] That's how it feels, too.
[00:22:02] I'm trying to imagine it in my hands.
[00:22:05] Someone want to 3D print me up on real quick so I can feel that bad boy.
[00:22:09] Just fly over to Ohio and I'll let you hold it.
[00:22:12] Ohio.
[00:22:14] Yeah.
[00:22:15] But yeah, that's that's the end.
[00:22:16] That's the end and beginning of my 3DO experience at one house.
[00:22:20] I played for an afternoon or so.
[00:22:22] And that's it.
[00:22:22] And again, I don't remember what I played.
[00:22:24] So whatever.
[00:22:25] Yeah.
[00:22:25] Until then, this is a mo.
[00:22:26] So I played more porn on 3DO than I have anything else.
[00:22:30] Just out of curiosity, do you remember which version it was?
[00:22:33] The 3DO?
[00:22:35] I want to say Panasonic.
[00:22:38] I feel like it was Panasonic.
[00:22:39] Did this tray come out?
[00:22:41] Yes.
[00:22:42] Okay.
[00:22:42] So it was probably an FC1.
[00:22:44] Okay.
[00:22:45] Was that Panasonic?
[00:22:46] I don't know.
[00:22:46] Yeah.
[00:22:47] That was the original model.
[00:22:49] Okay.
[00:22:49] Yeah.
[00:22:50] The FC1 is like the one like that's in the image I have for the logo for the show.
[00:22:55] It's the one that basically when you look up 3DO, it's like the one that pops up.
[00:22:58] Yeah.
[00:22:59] I have the FC10, which is like the top loading model.
[00:23:03] So it's the best working of the bunch.
[00:23:07] Yeah.
[00:23:08] They generally are the best ones to get nowadays.
[00:23:10] A, because there's a ton of Japanese ones and this thing isn't region locked.
[00:23:13] So like.
[00:23:13] Okay.
[00:23:15] But yeah, I'm just thinking since they had it so relatively early,
[00:23:18] they probably actually paid 700 US dollars for that bad boy.
[00:23:22] They probably did, which is just look, no, no shade.
[00:23:28] But that house wasn't looking good enough to be spending $700 on a console.
[00:23:34] I'm just saying, right?
[00:23:35] Like, I mean, we couldn't afford that shit either.
[00:23:37] I'm just, you know, but let's be real.
[00:23:40] But Time Magazine said it was the greatest thing ever.
[00:23:42] That's surely it.
[00:23:43] Oh, okay.
[00:23:43] Sure.
[00:23:45] Certainly.
[00:23:45] They went right out to Sears and then bought that bad boy.
[00:23:49] That's the thing.
[00:23:49] I never really saw it because like they actually live fairly close to the Toys R Us.
[00:23:53] I went to growing up.
[00:23:54] That's why I remember that house.
[00:23:57] But at that Toys R Us and Toys R Us had everything.
[00:24:00] It had TurboGrafx.
[00:24:01] They had like 32X.
[00:24:02] It had everything.
[00:24:02] I never remember seeing a 3DO there.
[00:24:05] So, yeah.
[00:24:06] I don't know.
[00:24:07] There was only one and they bought it.
[00:24:09] You know, right?
[00:24:11] I swear with 3DO, the whole reason why they're so weirdly obscure is because a lot of people,
[00:24:17] I don't even think, thought they were game consoles because the FC1 doesn't look like a game console very much.
[00:24:22] No, no.
[00:24:23] The only one that looks like us is the...
[00:24:25] It looked kind of laser disc-y if you didn't know any better.
[00:24:29] Yeah.
[00:24:30] Yeah.
[00:24:30] Well, and that's the thing.
[00:24:31] Dre isn't the only person I've ever heard that when they were around and the 3DO was a thing that they say,
[00:24:37] I just never saw one.
[00:24:38] Like maybe they just didn't ship that many consoles in general because of like the production and like the weird how the pricing worked and everything.
[00:24:47] Maybe they just didn't make that many because Panasonic really wasn't making that much money off of them in general.
[00:24:54] Probably, but also like I'm just trying to think like if I ever saw one at Target,
[00:24:58] if I ever saw one, like I'm not sure that I did, you know?
[00:25:02] Yeah.
[00:25:02] They just weren't that visible.
[00:25:04] I think that was really, well, not just besides a library and just the capabilities of the machine to begin with,
[00:25:09] but just like it just wasn't very visible on top of it.
[00:25:13] Yeah.
[00:25:14] It's really a weird, like looking back at it, the whole idea was fascinating.
[00:25:19] It was never going to work because video game technology, you can't make a standard for because it's always evolving and it's just never gonna.
[00:25:27] It's just not something that would ever work in practice.
[00:25:31] I guess tying into the games we're covering though, like the biggest thing on 3DO that made it kind of significant was the fact that its licensing fees were pretty much nothing.
[00:25:40] And if you wanted to make a game for 3DO, basically you just had to pay a small fee and Trip Hawkins was like, yeah, whatever.
[00:25:45] I don't care.
[00:25:48] It's like putting your game on like Steam these days, probably.
[00:25:52] Yeah.
[00:25:52] Yeah.
[00:25:53] Yeah.
[00:25:54] Yeah.
[00:25:54] Cause it was literally like, that was one of the reasons why a lot of developers thought found the 3DO to be kind of attractive at the time.
[00:26:00] Was it just had such a low licensing fee and like literally there was like no restrictions because it didn't even use the ESRB initially.
[00:26:07] It used 3DO's own janky.
[00:26:10] I don't think the ESRB was around yet.
[00:26:12] It wasn't.
[00:26:13] Yeah.
[00:26:13] The ESRB came around in like late 94.
[00:26:16] Yeah.
[00:26:16] Cause like,
[00:26:17] like,
[00:26:17] yeah.
[00:26:18] Some later 3DO games like Gex,
[00:26:20] I know in particular does have an ESRB rating on it.
[00:26:24] But a lot of them use the weird 3DO rating system,
[00:26:27] which is like Sega had their own rating system,
[00:26:29] which was basically just the ESRB,
[00:26:31] but I think it actually made more sense than the ESRB to a degree.
[00:26:35] Like,
[00:26:35] I think they put it in or at least like it was argued when the whole like night trap thing was happening that Sega instilled the rating system as a way to try to avoid any like government censorship when it came to night trap.
[00:26:46] But I think it was around like before that,
[00:26:50] but night trap famously didn't have a rating on it at all.
[00:26:53] No,
[00:26:53] they,
[00:26:54] they,
[00:26:55] the ratings,
[00:26:55] the Sega ratings came about because of it.
[00:26:57] Yeah.
[00:26:58] But also,
[00:26:59] then the ESRB happened.
[00:27:01] So,
[00:27:01] yeah.
[00:27:02] Yeah.
[00:27:03] And like night trap wasn't even worth worrying about either.
[00:27:06] Well,
[00:27:07] at the time,
[00:27:07] I mean,
[00:27:09] the timing,
[00:27:09] but there's nothing there.
[00:27:11] No,
[00:27:11] it's not.
[00:27:11] It's a bunch of guys in rubber suits waddling around.
[00:27:13] Cause like,
[00:27:14] cause,
[00:27:14] cause they also had mortal combat,
[00:27:16] which at the time,
[00:27:16] sure.
[00:27:17] Mortal combat was probably the bigger.
[00:27:19] Well,
[00:27:19] and then,
[00:27:19] and then a little bit later you had doom and then doom.
[00:27:22] It's like,
[00:27:23] yeah.
[00:27:23] Okay.
[00:27:23] Fair enough.
[00:27:24] At least for its time.
[00:27:25] Yeah.
[00:27:26] You know,
[00:27:26] those are,
[00:27:27] those were the catalysts for sure.
[00:27:29] Exactly.
[00:27:30] I also remember some weird controversy reading about some mom bought primal rage for her kid.
[00:27:36] And like,
[00:27:37] it was like,
[00:27:38] I don't know the,
[00:27:38] the monkey farts.
[00:27:39] Oh no,
[00:27:40] this game is terrible.
[00:27:41] But by that time they bought the,
[00:27:43] but they bought the Genesis version.
[00:27:44] By that time,
[00:27:45] Sega had the ratings.
[00:27:46] It was rated MA 13.
[00:27:48] So everyone was like,
[00:27:49] bitch,
[00:27:51] read the box.
[00:27:52] Right.
[00:27:52] So like,
[00:27:53] you know,
[00:27:53] at that point you can't say anything.
[00:27:55] It's like,
[00:27:56] say like nowadays when people try to argue about like,
[00:27:58] Oh,
[00:27:58] the violence that exists in video games now.
[00:28:00] And it's like the SRB exists.
[00:28:02] Like,
[00:28:03] it's not your fault.
[00:28:04] Like if you don't read the fucking,
[00:28:06] the M on,
[00:28:07] on your copy of box office bus,
[00:28:09] then like,
[00:28:10] what are you doing?
[00:28:12] I love that.
[00:28:13] That's our,
[00:28:13] that's our thing.
[00:28:14] And no one will know.
[00:28:15] No one will know why I have a copy of it right next to my desk,
[00:28:18] but here we are.
[00:28:20] I have a copy of,
[00:28:21] uh,
[00:28:22] where do I have it?
[00:28:23] Oh yeah.
[00:28:23] It's right here.
[00:28:24] Oh,
[00:28:25] but something weird.
[00:28:26] No,
[00:28:27] it's not weird at all.
[00:28:28] It's no where heroes three.
[00:28:29] That's right.
[00:28:30] We got a,
[00:28:30] we got a big old M right here.
[00:28:32] Did you play it yet?
[00:28:33] No.
[00:28:34] See,
[00:28:34] it's still shrink wrapped.
[00:28:35] I haven't played it yet.
[00:28:36] The only,
[00:28:37] the only game I have,
[00:28:38] I was,
[00:28:39] I was,
[00:28:39] I love that.
[00:28:45] Yes.
[00:28:46] Dre,
[00:28:46] I was disappointed with no more heroes three.
[00:28:48] So I'll be curious to your opinions.
[00:28:49] Okay.
[00:28:50] We'll see when I get there.
[00:28:51] All right.
[00:28:53] But all right.
[00:28:54] All right.
[00:28:54] So,
[00:28:54] so,
[00:28:55] so let's,
[00:28:55] let's,
[00:28:56] let's,
[00:28:56] let's rip this fucking bandaid off.
[00:28:58] We're talking about pornography here.
[00:29:01] And,
[00:29:01] and like,
[00:29:02] not plumbers don't wear ties.
[00:29:04] Like that's not porn.
[00:29:05] That's not porn.
[00:29:07] No,
[00:29:07] people always throw it in that caveat.
[00:29:09] I always tell people,
[00:29:10] I'm like,
[00:29:11] the only porn in that game is you see like a minute of side boob and a lot of John's ass.
[00:29:16] Like,
[00:29:17] like plumbers don't wear ties is like the sitcom hijinks version of pornography.
[00:29:24] You know,
[00:29:25] like,
[00:29:26] like,
[00:29:26] oh,
[00:29:26] we have to like make this adult film and then sitcom shenanigans happen and you get plumbers don't wear ties.
[00:29:32] Like,
[00:29:32] you know what I mean?
[00:29:33] The thing in that game is the scene of Jen riding around on like crusher in like the bondage gear.
[00:29:40] Or when she like ties him up in his office and rides him.
[00:29:43] Yeah.
[00:29:44] uh,
[00:29:44] the,
[00:29:45] as James Rolfe said,
[00:29:46] damn,
[00:29:49] I don't know why that reminded me of that music video where little Kim is writing the giant rooster.
[00:29:55] Like she's writing a big cock.
[00:29:56] Ha ha ha.
[00:29:57] Right.
[00:29:57] Like,
[00:29:58] but it's like this big,
[00:29:59] it's like a horsey ride at the,
[00:30:00] at the mall.
[00:30:01] You know what I mean?
[00:30:01] You put a quarter in,
[00:30:02] but it's a giant rooster.
[00:30:03] It's like,
[00:30:03] okay,
[00:30:04] I get it.
[00:30:05] I haven't thought of,
[00:30:06] I haven't thought about that in a long time.
[00:30:09] Uh,
[00:30:09] I was like 17,
[00:30:11] 18.
[00:30:11] I don't never forget that video.
[00:30:15] Anyway,
[00:30:16] but yeah.
[00:30:17] Um,
[00:30:17] yeah,
[00:30:17] I've always heard that plumbers don't wear ties,
[00:30:19] but I gotta be real until frack you approach me for this.
[00:30:24] I did not know 3DO had porn.
[00:30:26] I had no clue this existed.
[00:30:29] And you guys were,
[00:30:30] we were just talking about night trap and whatever.
[00:30:32] This seems like the kind of fodder that would be on the nightly news.
[00:30:36] Oh,
[00:30:36] this new upstart,
[00:30:37] uh,
[00:30:38] console has porn.
[00:30:39] Now,
[00:30:40] granted 3DO wasn't popular.
[00:30:41] Okay.
[00:30:42] But still they would find,
[00:30:44] they would find anything.
[00:30:46] Night trap wasn't popular either.
[00:30:47] It's not like everyone out there had a Sega CD.
[00:30:50] Right.
[00:30:50] But obviously Sega,
[00:30:52] you know,
[00:30:52] like I get it.
[00:30:53] Like it's more notable,
[00:30:53] but I'm surprised nobody.
[00:30:55] Like I had never heard of these porn games and it never became like a
[00:30:59] controversy.
[00:31:00] Well,
[00:31:01] and you could argue the controversy around night trap is what made it
[00:31:04] popular in the first place.
[00:31:05] Yeah.
[00:31:06] Cause no one gave a fuck before that.
[00:31:07] It got Streisand affected.
[00:31:08] Cause otherwise it would have been just like fodder for fucking podcasts
[00:31:12] like this.
[00:31:12] Like that's all it would have been.
[00:31:14] I have a bit of a theory.
[00:31:16] So what we're talking about is the,
[00:31:18] the video games developed by vivid interactive,
[00:31:21] which is a company.
[00:31:23] Games.
[00:31:23] I'm using quotes.
[00:31:25] One of them is kind of a game.
[00:31:26] We'll get to that.
[00:31:27] Yeah.
[00:31:28] Yeah.
[00:31:29] Oh God.
[00:31:30] So vivid.
[00:31:31] The,
[00:31:32] the way I thought of this episode was is this is by far the 3DO's
[00:31:37] strangest rabbit hole.
[00:31:40] Because I was trying to do research,
[00:31:42] like to like find more info.
[00:31:45] And there is not a lot.
[00:31:47] Like it is a facts are scarce.
[00:31:49] Like the company vivid interactive doesn't technically exist,
[00:31:53] but its parent company does.
[00:31:54] Cause it's a,
[00:31:55] it was a spinoff of the company vivid entertainment,
[00:31:57] which is a massive pornography company that's been around for a while.
[00:32:01] Um,
[00:32:02] like if you go on their Wikipedia page,
[00:32:04] like you can't even find any references to vivid interactive.
[00:32:06] It is just like,
[00:32:08] it's something that I guess they've scrubbed from their like history.
[00:32:12] Cause it's hard to find.
[00:32:15] Well,
[00:32:15] none of us,
[00:32:16] none of us emailed them and said,
[00:32:18] Hey,
[00:32:18] what can you tell us about your video game division from the nineties?
[00:32:22] You know,
[00:32:23] there's some,
[00:32:23] you know,
[00:32:24] there's some guy there who worked on these who were just like,
[00:32:26] wow,
[00:32:27] I've been waiting for this my whole life.
[00:32:29] I could probably genuinely send them an email being like,
[00:32:32] this sounds really weird,
[00:32:33] but hear me out.
[00:32:34] And then,
[00:32:34] and then they see it and they're like,
[00:32:35] does anybody know about like,
[00:32:37] did we make video games in the nineties?
[00:32:39] And yeah,
[00:32:39] Dre,
[00:32:40] some random dudes like,
[00:32:41] yes,
[00:32:42] we did.
[00:32:48] And then just gives me a whole thing.
[00:32:50] Like been waiting for this.
[00:32:52] The only way I could,
[00:32:53] I could find out that the two companies were part of like the same corporation was like on the Wikipedia page.
[00:33:00] They had a list of their models.
[00:33:01] And I was like,
[00:33:02] Oh,
[00:33:02] these are some of these models were in the 3DO game.
[00:33:04] So I'm like,
[00:33:05] okay,
[00:33:05] there it is.
[00:33:05] Well,
[00:33:06] I mean,
[00:33:06] I'm going to work.
[00:33:08] I'm going to out myself as a complete pervert now,
[00:33:10] but like,
[00:33:10] you know,
[00:33:11] back in the day,
[00:33:12] you know,
[00:33:12] I came of age in the nineties.
[00:33:14] I'll just,
[00:33:14] I'll just say that.
[00:33:15] Right.
[00:33:16] And like back and like back then vivid was like half the videos I saw if we were to just like sneak some video.
[00:33:22] Oh,
[00:33:22] I,
[00:33:22] you know,
[00:33:22] I heard so-and-so's uncle has a porn video.
[00:33:25] Let's go in his bedroom and,
[00:33:27] you know,
[00:33:27] check it out.
[00:33:27] Right.
[00:33:28] When he's not home,
[00:33:29] like vivid was like a big deal company.
[00:33:31] So when I saw these games,
[00:33:34] like when I loaded up and I saw,
[00:33:36] I forget which one I played first,
[00:33:37] um,
[00:33:38] love bites or some shit.
[00:33:40] And it's all like vivid interactive.
[00:33:42] I was like,
[00:33:43] Oh,
[00:33:44] this might be some legit porn.
[00:33:46] This isn't like some,
[00:33:47] some bullshit company.
[00:33:48] I know what vivid is.
[00:33:49] Right.
[00:33:49] And then it was bullshit,
[00:33:50] but you know,
[00:33:53] like my theory on why this didn't make such a big stink is,
[00:33:58] um,
[00:33:58] this is just kind of me doing some amateur sleuthing and like,
[00:34:01] just kind of like putting pieces together.
[00:34:03] But I don't think these games were easily available.
[00:34:07] I think you had to go directly through vivid to get them because I know,
[00:34:12] cause I tried to,
[00:34:14] I'm not going to lie.
[00:34:14] I tried to find a couple of these for this episode just to have on hand.
[00:34:18] They're not easy to find.
[00:34:20] There's not a lot of them out there.
[00:34:21] Like even like just loose discs.
[00:34:23] I looked at the price.
[00:34:24] I'm like,
[00:34:24] I'm not paying for that.
[00:34:25] Well,
[00:34:26] yeah,
[00:34:26] we have to remember like when the ESRB was established,
[00:34:30] a big thing was the adults only rating and how I think still to this day,
[00:34:36] like all the major retail outlets,
[00:34:37] I think even like the digital ones,
[00:34:39] like Amazon,
[00:34:40] they will not stock AO games.
[00:34:42] So it's trash that that's the case.
[00:34:45] Yeah.
[00:34:45] Yeah.
[00:34:46] Like even yeah,
[00:34:46] Sony and Microsoft won't sell them on their stores.
[00:34:48] They're like,
[00:34:48] if it's AO,
[00:34:49] no,
[00:34:49] actually it's even deeper than that.
[00:34:51] Sony,
[00:34:51] Microsoft,
[00:34:51] and Nintendo all have an agreement.
[00:34:53] They will never put one of those games on their system.
[00:34:55] Like it's just a thing that they've.
[00:34:57] Yeah.
[00:34:58] Because,
[00:34:58] because it's obvious what an AO game is like.
[00:35:01] It's unsellable.
[00:35:02] Like,
[00:35:03] well,
[00:35:04] is that nine times out of 10 an AO game is just straight porn?
[00:35:08] Um,
[00:35:08] there,
[00:35:08] there are a few that are like crazy ultra violent.
[00:35:12] Cause I think on Wikipedia,
[00:35:14] there's like a list of the AO games and stuff like that.
[00:35:17] Well,
[00:35:18] not even,
[00:35:18] well,
[00:35:19] there was like San Andreas,
[00:35:20] but not even that,
[00:35:20] like that's because of a stupid dummy dog thing that wasn't even supposed to be in the
[00:35:25] game.
[00:35:25] Yeah.
[00:35:26] Yeah.
[00:35:26] But like,
[00:35:27] yeah,
[00:35:27] it's all like just random,
[00:35:29] like PC stuff.
[00:35:30] Well,
[00:35:31] the original story with like AO was like thrill kill,
[00:35:34] which was like the game that they went out of their way to make it AO,
[00:35:36] which is hilarious in hindsight.
[00:35:37] Cause that game's not even close to AO.
[00:35:39] And then it did,
[00:35:40] then it got canceled anyway.
[00:35:41] So it was like,
[00:35:42] okay.
[00:35:42] Yeah.
[00:35:43] Yeah.
[00:35:43] Like the most recent AO rating game ever releases like a game called hatred,
[00:35:48] which is,
[00:35:49] Oh,
[00:35:49] that fucking thing.
[00:35:51] I remember that.
[00:35:52] Yeah.
[00:35:52] Something about that game.
[00:35:53] It just rubs me the wrong way.
[00:35:55] Yeah.
[00:35:55] No,
[00:35:55] no thanks.
[00:35:57] But yeah,
[00:35:58] I think obviously,
[00:35:59] I mean,
[00:35:59] not to get into a whole ratings discussion,
[00:36:01] but I think it's just so fucking silly that we do that.
[00:36:03] And especially in America where the only things we'll consider adult only is
[00:36:07] porn.
[00:36:07] That's literally it.
[00:36:09] Sex is the only thing you're not allowed to see just dumb,
[00:36:12] you know?
[00:36:13] Cause like every,
[00:36:14] every other country uses this stuff appropriately.
[00:36:16] Like Australia has a,
[00:36:17] I think it's called R 18 where we're like the grand theft autos and like the
[00:36:21] other stuff goes,
[00:36:23] Japan has the zero system.
[00:36:24] Zero Z is literally like,
[00:36:27] you can't put it on the shelf.
[00:36:28] You have to sell it like behind the counter or whatever.
[00:36:31] So even like Capcom with like resident evil.
[00:36:33] So release like a zero D which is like 17 plus.
[00:36:36] And you can put it on the shelf and then the Sarah Z version,
[00:36:38] which is the one we get like in North America and stuff,
[00:36:41] because it's like too strong for their ratings board.
[00:36:43] So there,
[00:36:43] so other countries do use it.
[00:36:45] We just don't because America,
[00:36:48] but you know,
[00:36:49] that's a,
[00:36:49] that's a whole other thing.
[00:36:50] Yeah.
[00:36:51] I feel like,
[00:36:52] yeah.
[00:36:52] And also M has gotten pretty lax over the years.
[00:36:55] I don't think,
[00:36:56] I just don't think the ESRV is a great rating system anymore.
[00:36:58] Like it's very outdated and it kind of needs to be restructured a
[00:37:01] little bit.
[00:37:02] I completely agree,
[00:37:03] but nobody cares enough to bother.
[00:37:06] Yeah.
[00:37:07] I mean,
[00:37:07] also back in my day when they introduced it,
[00:37:09] you did not,
[00:37:10] I could go up my little fucking 15 year old.
[00:37:12] The ass could go to toys or us and buy whatever game M off the
[00:37:15] shelf.
[00:37:15] Now you get carded and shit.
[00:37:17] Now they like actually pay attention to like,
[00:37:19] are you 17 or not?
[00:37:20] Like when you buy a rated R movie or something like that at the
[00:37:22] store who does that anymore,
[00:37:24] but you know,
[00:37:25] whatever I'm like.
[00:37:26] Yeah.
[00:37:27] But back then I could go buy mortal combat three on
[00:37:30] PlayStation one and nobody would say anything.
[00:37:33] Right.
[00:37:34] So yeah.
[00:37:35] And it's,
[00:37:35] it's,
[00:37:35] it's like,
[00:37:36] I was just going to say like in the,
[00:37:39] in the three 60 days when I was like,
[00:37:42] my parents would like buy me like call of duty or something,
[00:37:44] which was rated M,
[00:37:45] you know?
[00:37:46] And,
[00:37:46] and the clerk would say like,
[00:37:47] you know,
[00:37:48] Oh,
[00:37:48] is this okay to buy or whatever?
[00:37:50] You know?
[00:37:51] Yeah.
[00:37:51] It would just do that with me.
[00:37:52] And my parents were like,
[00:37:53] yeah,
[00:37:53] we don't care.
[00:37:53] At that point I was like 15.
[00:37:55] So they're like,
[00:37:56] who gives a shit?
[00:37:57] I know it's a game stop thing.
[00:37:58] Cause game stops kind of bullshit like that sometimes,
[00:38:00] but I always like roll my eyes when you see like them card,
[00:38:03] like an 80 year old dude.
[00:38:03] It's like,
[00:38:04] really?
[00:38:04] Like,
[00:38:05] really?
[00:38:06] I've never,
[00:38:06] I've yet to be carded for buying.
[00:38:09] Like the other day,
[00:38:09] like I bought LA noir at a game stop and they didn't card me.
[00:38:13] So I've never,
[00:38:14] I don't think I've,
[00:38:15] well,
[00:38:15] I've never been carded for a game for like other goods and services that you
[00:38:20] have to be 18 or 21 for.
[00:38:23] Yes.
[00:38:23] Because Nevada has gotten like super strict about it,
[00:38:25] but like for a video game,
[00:38:27] no,
[00:38:27] I've never,
[00:38:28] ever,
[00:38:28] ever been carded back,
[00:38:30] back in my retail job.
[00:38:31] They would like,
[00:38:32] if I ride to work the register,
[00:38:34] you know,
[00:38:34] they would try to be like,
[00:38:35] you know,
[00:38:35] make sure you card people if they buy like SIGs or booze or whatever.
[00:38:38] I never did because,
[00:38:40] because let's be honest.
[00:38:41] Cause nobody looked suspicious.
[00:38:43] Everybody was like,
[00:38:44] yeah,
[00:38:44] like,
[00:38:45] like,
[00:38:45] like dude,
[00:38:46] you,
[00:38:46] you have like a wheelchair and you have,
[00:38:47] and you're gray.
[00:38:48] Like you're fine.
[00:38:49] Yeah.
[00:38:50] Yeah.
[00:38:50] But I mean,
[00:38:51] I,
[00:38:52] I,
[00:38:52] I work at a casino,
[00:38:53] so obviously everyone has to be 21,
[00:38:55] but like,
[00:38:56] yeah,
[00:38:56] I never get any,
[00:38:58] almost never do I get anyone,
[00:39:00] um,
[00:39:01] wherever it's like,
[00:39:02] Hmm,
[00:39:02] are you really like,
[00:39:03] you'd have to look so young,
[00:39:05] you know,
[00:39:06] like it just don't come on.
[00:39:07] Who's really going to come into casino and be like,
[00:39:10] cause if a kid really wants to sneak some gambling,
[00:39:11] they're going to go play a machine in the corner where no one's looking at
[00:39:14] them or something like that.
[00:39:15] Like,
[00:39:15] Oh,
[00:39:15] I mean,
[00:39:15] you can probably just gamble on your phone.
[00:39:18] Yeah.
[00:39:18] Or something like that.
[00:39:19] Right.
[00:39:19] So like,
[00:39:20] they're not going to,
[00:39:20] they're not going to come to me for that anyway.
[00:39:23] Um,
[00:39:24] yeah,
[00:39:24] I,
[00:39:24] I do think it is interesting how this never caused a controversy at like,
[00:39:28] like not even a small one at all.
[00:39:30] Oh God,
[00:39:31] this thing has porn.
[00:39:32] So maybe you did have to like mail order it.
[00:39:34] Maybe you did have to like in the back of your latest,
[00:39:36] uh,
[00:39:37] vivid porn video,
[00:39:38] you had to be like,
[00:39:38] Hey,
[00:39:39] send away for this three to shit.
[00:39:40] You pervert.
[00:39:41] And then like,
[00:39:42] you know,
[00:39:42] send a money order or whatever.
[00:39:44] Yeah.
[00:39:44] Or it could have been like,
[00:39:45] say at the various like adult shops,
[00:39:47] like your lions dens or whatever,
[00:39:49] you could probably order them from them and then they would get them for you
[00:39:52] or something like that.
[00:39:53] You know,
[00:39:54] it's probably just like how you got any pornography pre internet was like,
[00:39:58] you had to do all this weird back alley under the table kind of shit,
[00:40:02] you know?
[00:40:03] Yeah.
[00:40:04] Yeah.
[00:40:04] Well,
[00:40:04] it's like I said,
[00:40:05] um,
[00:40:05] the zero Z games in Japan,
[00:40:07] you can't have them on the shelf.
[00:40:08] So like,
[00:40:08] if you want like grand theft auto five in Japan,
[00:40:10] you have to like literally ask for it.
[00:40:12] And it's like behind a little casing.
[00:40:13] You have to ask for it or whatever and probably show an ID or whatever.
[00:40:16] And that's,
[00:40:17] you know,
[00:40:17] that limits sales.
[00:40:18] So I think a similar situation actually happened with the Atari porn games.
[00:40:22] Like we were mentioning off camera,
[00:40:24] they were kind of behind the shelf and you had to ask for them.
[00:40:27] Yes.
[00:40:27] And some of them came in like leather bound,
[00:40:29] like pouches.
[00:40:31] So like,
[00:40:31] you know,
[00:40:32] so that was 1982.
[00:40:34] Yeah,
[00:40:35] basically.
[00:40:36] So it can be a shame that somebody had a game called,
[00:40:38] uh,
[00:40:38] lick them.
[00:40:40] Beat them and eat them.
[00:40:43] Philly flasher.
[00:40:46] Is that the,
[00:40:47] is that the kaboom knockoff?
[00:40:48] No,
[00:40:49] that's the one that's the opposite of beat them and eat them,
[00:40:51] but it's like the weird witch up there.
[00:40:53] Oh yeah.
[00:40:54] Yeah.
[00:40:54] Oh God.
[00:40:55] I love beat a medium.
[00:40:56] Cause they like lick their lips after they like,
[00:41:00] so,
[00:41:02] so stupid.
[00:41:04] Like,
[00:41:04] like,
[00:41:05] like,
[00:41:06] seriously,
[00:41:06] we could do a whole episode on the Atari porn games.
[00:41:08] Cause they have,
[00:41:10] despite not being as much as like advanced technology as like the 3DO ones,
[00:41:14] they are so much more interesting.
[00:41:16] They're really funny.
[00:41:17] Yeah.
[00:41:18] See,
[00:41:18] that's the thing.
[00:41:19] That's kind of the problem with these 3DO games.
[00:41:21] There's some stuff to talk about here,
[00:41:23] but it's like,
[00:41:24] there's not a whole lot.
[00:41:25] I mean,
[00:41:26] I,
[00:41:26] I,
[00:41:26] can I just steer the conversation here?
[00:41:28] Yes.
[00:41:29] What,
[00:41:30] why are,
[00:41:31] who is this for?
[00:41:32] Basically is what I'm asking.
[00:41:33] Because look,
[00:41:34] if you're a 3DO,
[00:41:35] no,
[00:41:35] here's the thing.
[00:41:36] If you're,
[00:41:36] if you have a 3DO and you're a pervert,
[00:41:38] you have the money to get like laser disc porn and like some real pervert shit,
[00:41:43] right?
[00:41:43] You're not going to be getting it on your 3DO.
[00:41:46] Also,
[00:41:47] I think we have to,
[00:41:48] this is the elephant in the room for me.
[00:41:50] These are,
[00:41:51] these are clearly full scale,
[00:41:54] vivid porn videos edited down to soft core.
[00:41:57] Yes.
[00:41:58] Like they have the,
[00:41:59] like they have the production,
[00:42:01] you know,
[00:42:02] like they have like editing and music and sets and they do all of this other stuff.
[00:42:07] I wouldn't be surprised if,
[00:42:08] yeah,
[00:42:08] these were like meant to be just like straight up,
[00:42:10] like soft core.
[00:42:11] Cause these are soft core,
[00:42:13] like down to the wire.
[00:42:15] Right.
[00:42:15] And I,
[00:42:16] I get the sense they were maybe filmed to just be straight up like soft core videos,
[00:42:19] but then they,
[00:42:21] but then,
[00:42:21] but they,
[00:42:22] they probably like watch them back and just went,
[00:42:26] eh,
[00:42:26] this isn't really working.
[00:42:28] And then they're like,
[00:42:29] oh,
[00:42:29] well there's like this,
[00:42:30] like 3DO,
[00:42:31] like FMV thing,
[00:42:32] you know?
[00:42:32] So they use these to be like,
[00:42:34] and we don't want to waste all the work we did.
[00:42:36] So let's maybe turn them into like a novelty for like this console.
[00:42:40] And maybe we'll get like some sales off of it because none of these work as,
[00:42:46] like none of them at all.
[00:42:47] Like soft core,
[00:42:48] like,
[00:42:49] you know,
[00:42:49] I don't,
[00:42:49] I don't,
[00:42:49] we're not prudes here.
[00:42:51] Right.
[00:42:51] But like,
[00:42:52] but like I,
[00:42:54] I probably a lot of people our age struggle,
[00:42:55] like soft core doesn't really do anything for me.
[00:42:58] But that's,
[00:42:59] that's,
[00:42:59] that's the internet's fault.
[00:43:01] You know,
[00:43:02] well,
[00:43:02] no,
[00:43:02] here's the thing.
[00:43:04] I'm old.
[00:43:05] Okay.
[00:43:05] I'll tell you on,
[00:43:07] on Saturday night or whatever,
[00:43:08] when like skin a max and like you would show like software videos,
[00:43:12] I was like,
[00:43:12] I don't want to watch this.
[00:43:13] I would like,
[00:43:14] so like,
[00:43:14] you know,
[00:43:15] and this is before you could find that stuff on the internet.
[00:43:17] It's before I even had the internet.
[00:43:18] Right.
[00:43:19] So even back then I felt that way.
[00:43:20] Right.
[00:43:21] It's like,
[00:43:21] no,
[00:43:21] I want to see some real,
[00:43:22] some real shit.
[00:43:23] Right.
[00:43:24] So like,
[00:43:26] like soft core,
[00:43:27] I think can work,
[00:43:27] but when you do it,
[00:43:29] it's like,
[00:43:29] oh,
[00:43:29] it needs to be like more artistic or you're trying to go for something a
[00:43:32] little different.
[00:43:33] Right.
[00:43:33] But I don't think it works,
[00:43:35] but I don't,
[00:43:36] but here's the thing.
[00:43:37] I don't think these were shot as soft core.
[00:43:40] I think there's your shot as hardcore videos edited down to soft core because
[00:43:44] nothing,
[00:43:44] none of the events.
[00:43:45] Like if you just watch it as a movie,
[00:43:47] nothing makes any sense.
[00:43:49] None of this makes sense.
[00:43:51] The storylines,
[00:43:52] the ones that have storylines are completely jumbled and confusing.
[00:43:56] So that's possible.
[00:43:57] Cause they're,
[00:43:57] some of them have more like explicit stuff than others.
[00:44:01] Yes.
[00:44:02] You know?
[00:44:03] So I,
[00:44:03] I could see that.
[00:44:04] Cause there are moments where it's like,
[00:44:05] oh,
[00:44:06] they might like actually go a little bit over the,
[00:44:09] but they don't like,
[00:44:10] I don't think like the most we see is boobs.
[00:44:13] Like that's it.
[00:44:15] We don't see.
[00:44:15] Yeah.
[00:44:16] That's,
[00:44:16] that's about all you see.
[00:44:17] There's no,
[00:44:18] there's no genitalia.
[00:44:20] There's no holes,
[00:44:21] nothing,
[00:44:22] nothing.
[00:44:23] Definitely no penetration.
[00:44:24] You know,
[00:44:25] it's funny when,
[00:44:26] um,
[00:44:26] when you first applied penetration,
[00:44:29] there's some,
[00:44:30] well,
[00:44:30] yeah,
[00:44:30] it's implied,
[00:44:31] but you just,
[00:44:31] you're just not going to see it.
[00:44:32] Um,
[00:44:33] when you first brought this to me and I brought up to the guys,
[00:44:36] like,
[00:44:36] Hey,
[00:44:36] do you actually want to do this?
[00:44:37] And Steve agreed.
[00:44:38] I was like pontificating,
[00:44:39] like,
[00:44:39] okay,
[00:44:40] is it just going to be some boring,
[00:44:42] like vanilla sex?
[00:44:43] Are they going to get wild?
[00:44:44] Are we going to see some like piss?
[00:44:45] Are we going to see like some like crazy,
[00:44:46] like fisting?
[00:44:48] Are we going to like,
[00:44:48] are we going to like crazy?
[00:44:51] I was like,
[00:44:52] how wild are we going to get?
[00:44:53] None of these are wild.
[00:44:55] None of them,
[00:44:55] none of them showed anything.
[00:44:56] Uh,
[00:44:56] there was,
[00:44:57] is pretty tame.
[00:44:58] So like,
[00:44:59] like what I was hoping was it was going to have like that cheesy porn acting that were,
[00:45:05] that were all familiar with.
[00:45:07] Yeah.
[00:45:07] I was just,
[00:45:08] I was hoping,
[00:45:09] I was just hoping for like the nineties at FMV cheese.
[00:45:13] Like,
[00:45:13] that's what I was hoping for so that it would be like,
[00:45:17] like,
[00:45:17] at very least they would be kind of entertaining,
[00:45:20] even if in like,
[00:45:20] say a bad way,
[00:45:21] but like,
[00:45:22] none of these are really entertaining at all.
[00:45:26] Like they're all maybe 20 minutes a piece.
[00:45:29] Like that's all the video you really get.
[00:45:31] Um,
[00:45:32] and,
[00:45:32] and yeah,
[00:45:33] it just equates to some implied light sex here and there.
[00:45:37] And then coupled with like this weird,
[00:45:40] like video toaster style editing.
[00:45:43] And like,
[00:45:44] that was the nineties though,
[00:45:45] man.
[00:45:46] Yeah.
[00:45:46] Like,
[00:45:46] like weird angles.
[00:45:48] And yeah,
[00:45:48] like,
[00:45:49] uh,
[00:45:49] as rich Evans says,
[00:45:50] commercial surrealism,
[00:45:52] like there's quite,
[00:45:53] there's quite a bit of it here where it's like,
[00:45:56] they're trying to be weird,
[00:45:57] but there's nothing to be weird about.
[00:46:00] That's why I think these were definitely edited down to soft core from hardcore,
[00:46:04] because they're doing like these weird cut-ins where it's clear.
[00:46:07] They don't want you to see her of Virginia right there.
[00:46:11] Right.
[00:46:11] So they're doing this weird cut in where it's like,
[00:46:13] Oh,
[00:46:13] we're going to do the stylized like angle nineties thing.
[00:46:16] So you can't quite see that,
[00:46:17] but you can still see your tits.
[00:46:18] But then it's like,
[00:46:19] yeah.
[00:46:20] So they're like creatively editing.
[00:46:21] It's almost like weird porn,
[00:46:23] soft core music videos.
[00:46:24] Right.
[00:46:25] Because they have like the music.
[00:46:26] Absolutely.
[00:46:27] Yeah.
[00:46:27] But then it's just like all these weird scenes.
[00:46:29] What was that one about the witches?
[00:46:30] The coven.
[00:46:32] That was the weirdest one.
[00:46:33] Cause they're showing up those scenes outside.
[00:46:35] They're like bonfires and shit.
[00:46:37] Bill.
[00:46:38] But then it's like,
[00:46:40] yeah.
[00:46:41] Coven absolutely was like,
[00:46:43] they had filmed the whole production.
[00:46:45] That's the most infamous one out of all of these.
[00:46:47] Oh,
[00:46:47] is it?
[00:46:48] Okay.
[00:46:49] I did not know that these had levels of like fame in fame.
[00:46:53] That's the one that most people know.
[00:46:56] Like a lot of these,
[00:46:57] most people don't know.
[00:46:58] That's kind of like the one that'll,
[00:46:59] it's like that one in like blonde justice are like the two that most people.
[00:47:02] Yeah.
[00:47:03] Cause coven like,
[00:47:05] cause coven 1000% is like a full scale production that they did that they obviously like,
[00:47:11] they trimmed it down so much.
[00:47:13] And again,
[00:47:14] it could have been because they saw the final product and were like,
[00:47:16] this is,
[00:47:17] this isn't going to work.
[00:47:18] Yeah.
[00:47:19] Like quality control.
[00:47:21] Or can I do my impression of the opening of a blonde justice?
[00:47:24] You have a coven?
[00:47:26] Absolutely.
[00:47:28] Vivid interactive for CD interactive CD ROM and 3d.
[00:47:35] Oh,
[00:47:36] there.
[00:47:37] What do you think?
[00:47:37] Is that good?
[00:47:39] I have like,
[00:47:39] I have like a half Nick Chubb right now.
[00:47:42] This is Oh,
[00:47:43] damn.
[00:47:43] See,
[00:47:44] I did it.
[00:47:45] And the best,
[00:47:47] the best part of that whole intro is like the lady who has like the CDs taped to her
[00:47:52] eyes.
[00:47:52] Yeah.
[00:47:56] When I saw that,
[00:47:57] I'm like,
[00:47:58] Oh,
[00:47:58] we're in for some good shit.
[00:48:00] And I know we'll probably,
[00:48:01] I don't know.
[00:48:01] Blue sky will let you,
[00:48:02] you should use that as a promo image,
[00:48:04] Bill,
[00:48:05] her,
[00:48:05] the CDs on her tits and her.
[00:48:08] I think we can get away with that.
[00:48:10] That's not,
[00:48:10] it's okay.
[00:48:11] You can do it on blue sky.
[00:48:13] It's in like two 40 P.
[00:48:15] So you can't really see anything.
[00:48:17] Oh God.
[00:48:17] But what was that thing?
[00:48:18] I think it was the beginning of the coven,
[00:48:20] right?
[00:48:20] Where she's like naked and she's writing the giant CD.
[00:48:23] Over like the.
[00:48:24] Yeah.
[00:48:25] That one was awesome.
[00:48:27] That was so fucking cool.
[00:48:29] It's like some player and still stale eighties rock,
[00:48:32] even though it's a nineties music.
[00:48:34] And then it's like,
[00:48:35] Oh man,
[00:48:36] they're just like,
[00:48:36] they're having a great time out there.
[00:48:38] It is incredible.
[00:48:40] I think if anyone should take anything away from this and seek anything out,
[00:48:43] you should seek out that,
[00:48:44] that,
[00:48:44] that shit's legit funny.
[00:48:46] It's funny because I didn't want to be like such a degenerate that I was actually going
[00:48:50] to like cross,
[00:48:51] like go through,
[00:48:52] like try and find like maybe the source for these,
[00:48:54] like in like vivids actual catalog.
[00:48:56] Cause I'm convinced these are,
[00:48:57] I'm on a Dre side.
[00:48:59] Like I'm convinced these are just cut down from like actual videos.
[00:49:02] Yeah.
[00:49:03] I mean,
[00:49:03] if you were able to find the models and like,
[00:49:05] you know,
[00:49:06] could see their work,
[00:49:06] it's like,
[00:49:07] Oh,
[00:49:07] they're not like soft core models,
[00:49:09] you know,
[00:49:10] I'm sure there are vivids a catalog.
[00:49:13] Yeah.
[00:49:14] Yeah.
[00:49:15] So yeah,
[00:49:17] these,
[00:49:17] these are just fucking weird,
[00:49:18] man.
[00:49:18] And it's like,
[00:49:19] it's,
[00:49:19] it's a shame.
[00:49:20] They don't either like go like just super far or just like,
[00:49:25] you know,
[00:49:25] play into like the stories that they've obviously made for even like blonde
[00:49:29] justice.
[00:49:29] Blonde justice is one of the most confusing plots I've ever seen.
[00:49:32] Cause I think it's because the way they cut them,
[00:49:35] they just don't make sense.
[00:49:36] Yeah.
[00:49:36] And the thing is at all.
[00:49:38] And like,
[00:49:38] we haven't talked about the gameplay because there fucking isn't any
[00:49:41] gameplay.
[00:49:43] Like you,
[00:49:43] like it gives you a DVD style menu or like pre DVD style menu,
[00:49:48] like a video CD.
[00:49:49] And it gives you like,
[00:49:50] like certain,
[00:49:51] like four or five different,
[00:49:53] like little like clips.
[00:49:54] And then you just pick it.
[00:49:55] And then it goes for like,
[00:49:58] wait for probably like five,
[00:49:59] seven minutes,
[00:49:59] but it feels like an eternity.
[00:50:01] And then,
[00:50:01] and then,
[00:50:02] and then it just stops.
[00:50:03] And that's like,
[00:50:04] you know,
[00:50:04] you can go to the next one and then that's it.
[00:50:06] I did like the menu.
[00:50:07] So that it was some weird,
[00:50:09] like pre DVD,
[00:50:11] still laser disc kind of like weird,
[00:50:13] like,
[00:50:13] okay,
[00:50:13] choose this thing from the menu.
[00:50:16] Yeah.
[00:50:16] Like it's kind of,
[00:50:17] that was kind of interesting.
[00:50:18] Okay.
[00:50:18] I don't mind saying this as a cishet man.
[00:50:22] I'm just going to say it.
[00:50:23] I'm,
[00:50:23] I'm comfortable with myself.
[00:50:24] Okay.
[00:50:25] Listen,
[00:50:26] you can't have two different vampire movies.
[00:50:30] Okay.
[00:50:31] There's love bites and there's immortal desire.
[00:50:35] Okay.
[00:50:36] They're both about vampires.
[00:50:38] You cannot have those movies without showing Dracula's dick.
[00:50:43] I'm sorry.
[00:50:44] You got to see some Dracula dick.
[00:50:46] I'm sorry.
[00:50:47] It's just,
[00:50:47] it's just the truth.
[00:50:49] Everyone knows I'm right.
[00:50:50] You got to see it.
[00:50:52] Well,
[00:50:52] what does it look like?
[00:50:54] We don't know.
[00:50:55] Does it have to show us?
[00:50:57] I don't know.
[00:50:58] I would love to know.
[00:50:58] I want to see that Dracula dick.
[00:51:00] I'm sorry.
[00:51:02] My mom listens to this show.
[00:51:06] I hope she backed out when she saw what the title was.
[00:51:09] Yeah.
[00:51:09] I think,
[00:51:10] I think she's out of this one or you're going to get a text.
[00:51:14] Look,
[00:51:15] I'm just,
[00:51:15] I'm just being real,
[00:51:16] right?
[00:51:17] You can't have Dracula without the dick.
[00:51:19] Sorry.
[00:51:20] I always knew Thrac was a degenerate.
[00:51:24] I want to know what Dracula was packing.
[00:51:25] Just,
[00:51:26] just the truth right now,
[00:51:27] but no,
[00:51:27] but yeah,
[00:51:28] I remember bringing that up to Steve when we saw,
[00:51:30] when you sent me the things I was looking at the list.
[00:51:32] And I was like,
[00:51:33] okay,
[00:51:33] at least love bites or immortal desire has to be about vampires,
[00:51:38] right?
[00:51:38] They're both about vampires.
[00:51:40] So two,
[00:51:41] two for two there.
[00:51:42] It's actually kind of funny.
[00:51:43] Yeah.
[00:51:44] Pre twilight vampire fetish crap.
[00:51:46] In fact,
[00:51:46] I think they both have like Nosferatu clips in them.
[00:51:49] Cause Nosferatu is a public domain movie.
[00:51:51] I actually,
[00:51:52] that was the best part was seeing like fucking Nosferatu.
[00:51:54] I'm like,
[00:51:55] Oh shit.
[00:51:55] A good movie.
[00:51:56] It's actually kind of funny looking at the covers.
[00:51:59] Love bites is like the one,
[00:52:00] only one that I can honestly see someone accidentally thinking,
[00:52:03] is an actual game.
[00:52:04] That looks like,
[00:52:05] that looks like a,
[00:52:06] like a goth rock album cover.
[00:52:07] Yeah,
[00:52:08] it does.
[00:52:09] You know?
[00:52:11] Yeah.
[00:52:11] It's weird.
[00:52:12] How like,
[00:52:12] even though it was a nineties porn was so stuck in the eighties.
[00:52:15] Like it was weird.
[00:52:15] It was like,
[00:52:16] but you know,
[00:52:17] that's the thing.
[00:52:18] And this might be a weird direction to take,
[00:52:20] but I don't care.
[00:52:20] I've been weird enough on here.
[00:52:22] I legit love that.
[00:52:25] Or rather I forgot because I'm from this era and I haven't seen porn from this era for a long time until now.
[00:52:34] God damn.
[00:52:34] We used to like,
[00:52:35] we just put some budget into this stuff,
[00:52:37] right?
[00:52:38] Some real muscle.
[00:52:39] Like whoever was making these fashion.
[00:52:41] These is just actual real deal movies.
[00:52:44] Only this happened to have a lot of sex.
[00:52:46] Like,
[00:52:47] I forget.
[00:52:47] That's how we used to like posit porn videos.
[00:52:51] And now it's just like,
[00:52:52] whatever.
[00:52:52] And I'm not saying we need to go back.
[00:52:54] We need to return right to this era.
[00:52:57] It's just,
[00:52:57] it's just very,
[00:52:58] very interesting to see this.
[00:53:00] Like,
[00:53:00] and if you're,
[00:53:01] if you're a younger person old enough to watch porn,
[00:53:04] mind you,
[00:53:05] but if you're a younger person,
[00:53:06] I don't know what I'm talking about.
[00:53:07] It might actually be worth looking at this stuff because I legit like on a like cinematography,
[00:53:13] like real,
[00:53:14] like filmmaking level.
[00:53:15] I know that's weird to say about porn.
[00:53:16] I actually think it's interesting to look back on.
[00:53:19] Yeah.
[00:53:20] Cause there wasn't that like a lot of directors back when they got their start doing that.
[00:53:24] And then they eventually made it into actual films or.
[00:53:28] Yeah.
[00:53:28] I feel like that that's happened a couple of times where they did it just for a quick buck or two in between projects or like,
[00:53:34] it wasn't very,
[00:53:35] it wasn't very uncommon back then to film some porn.
[00:53:38] And between like real quote unquote real movies.
[00:53:41] Yeah.
[00:53:41] And it was like,
[00:53:42] yeah,
[00:53:43] like a different time where like you knew that like,
[00:53:46] oh,
[00:53:46] we're going to have to like sell this VHS for like however much.
[00:53:49] So it's like,
[00:53:50] you know,
[00:53:50] let's make it,
[00:53:51] you know,
[00:53:52] like we have to have a budget to kind of make this,
[00:53:54] whole thing work,
[00:53:55] you know?
[00:53:55] Yeah.
[00:53:56] As Dre said,
[00:53:57] it's a lot different to now where,
[00:53:59] you know,
[00:54:00] people who make stuff online are like,
[00:54:02] it's all like completely no budget stuff for the most part.
[00:54:04] Yeah.
[00:54:05] But,
[00:54:06] but it gets to the content quicker though.
[00:54:10] I've,
[00:54:10] I've seen,
[00:54:11] I've seen some newer stuff that does have some,
[00:54:13] you can tell it has some budget behind it,
[00:54:15] you know?
[00:54:16] So there is still that,
[00:54:18] but it's not completely,
[00:54:19] it's not a completely lost art then.
[00:54:20] No,
[00:54:21] no.
[00:54:21] And like,
[00:54:22] you know,
[00:54:22] there's like,
[00:54:22] what was it?
[00:54:23] A pirates movie from the two thousands or whatever.
[00:54:25] Oh yeah.
[00:54:26] I remember.
[00:54:27] Yeah.
[00:54:27] See,
[00:54:27] that was a thing actually.
[00:54:29] Every once in a while back in the nineties and two thousands,
[00:54:32] you hear about the one big budget porn movie of the year.
[00:54:35] You'd hear about it.
[00:54:36] It would be like actual,
[00:54:37] like,
[00:54:37] I don't want to say news,
[00:54:38] but like,
[00:54:39] you know,
[00:54:39] it would get,
[00:54:40] we're to get around.
[00:54:41] Oh,
[00:54:41] because I know what you're talking about with the,
[00:54:43] with the pirates one.
[00:54:44] I know exactly what you mean.
[00:54:45] Yeah.
[00:54:46] Were they trying to be prior to the Caribbean or were they trying to be
[00:54:48] like,
[00:54:48] I think it was prior to the Caribbean.
[00:54:50] Okay.
[00:54:51] But like,
[00:54:51] but nowadays it's like filmmaking,
[00:54:54] like no budget filmmaking has gotten so much cheaper and it's,
[00:54:58] and it's so much easier to get like a nice quality,
[00:55:01] like,
[00:55:01] you know,
[00:55:02] video with like decent editing and all that for not a lot of money.
[00:55:05] So it's like,
[00:55:06] you know,
[00:55:06] why bother putting in all the bells and whistles when you don't really have
[00:55:10] to,
[00:55:10] you just have to have a nice camera and maybe somebody who like is
[00:55:14] decent at cinematography,
[00:55:15] which there still is some like half decent cinematography out there.
[00:55:18] The last time I remember hearing about a big budget porn movie was the
[00:55:21] overwatch one was over snatch or like whatever.
[00:55:24] I don't remember.
[00:55:26] I think it was,
[00:55:26] I don't think I'm making that up.
[00:55:27] I feel like that's what it was called,
[00:55:29] but it's like,
[00:55:29] yeah,
[00:55:30] isn't that the one that blizzard likes,
[00:55:32] like sued them for something?
[00:55:33] They did.
[00:55:34] They got sued.
[00:55:35] I don't know how successful it was,
[00:55:36] but yeah,
[00:55:37] they did too.
[00:55:37] Yeah.
[00:55:38] It was,
[00:55:38] it was very,
[00:55:39] all the costumes like diva and whatever.
[00:55:42] I'm not going to go into it,
[00:55:44] they,
[00:55:44] they did a good job.
[00:55:45] They,
[00:55:45] they did the research.
[00:55:46] What's funny is that came out like six months after the game.
[00:55:50] I feel like they played the game.
[00:55:51] Like right when it came out,
[00:55:52] it's like,
[00:55:52] Oh shit.
[00:55:53] I know exactly what to do now.
[00:55:55] It was fast.
[00:55:58] Well,
[00:55:58] I always think the funniest one is like the,
[00:56:00] the,
[00:56:00] the super Mario one,
[00:56:02] like the super horny brothers were like Nintendo owns the publishing rights
[00:56:05] to those just to keep it off the market.
[00:56:07] Really?
[00:56:09] That's a Nintendo.
[00:56:11] The reason why those films are impossible to find is because Nintendo bought
[00:56:15] the publishing rights just to take them off the market.
[00:56:18] So if I were to try to upload some VHS quote unquote scan of that,
[00:56:22] Nintendo could actually copyright claim me Nintendo themselves.
[00:56:26] I believe that's crazy.
[00:56:28] Justin,
[00:56:29] Justin,
[00:56:29] Justin Wang did a whole video explaining the whole super Romeo brothers thing.
[00:56:33] It's like,
[00:56:33] wow.
[00:56:33] Wow.
[00:56:34] It doesn't surprise me in the slightest.
[00:56:36] Yeah.
[00:56:36] When did that come out?
[00:56:37] Do you remember a super horny?
[00:56:38] I don't remember.
[00:56:39] I don't know how old that is.
[00:56:41] It's like from the nineties or it was in the nineties.
[00:56:43] I think it was around the same time as the original Mario brothers movie.
[00:56:46] Cause I think they were,
[00:56:46] Oh,
[00:56:47] they took inspiration from that.
[00:56:49] Okay.
[00:56:49] They watched the movie.
[00:56:50] They didn't play the game.
[00:56:52] All I know is,
[00:56:53] all I know is Ron Jeremy was Mario.
[00:56:55] Oh,
[00:56:55] of course.
[00:56:56] I mean,
[00:56:56] please.
[00:56:57] Yeah.
[00:56:57] That's the,
[00:56:58] you know,
[00:56:58] there's no point in even doing it.
[00:56:59] If he's not Mario,
[00:57:00] of course he is.
[00:57:01] I mean,
[00:57:01] now he'd be Wario.
[00:57:04] I mean,
[00:57:05] unfortunately it's the stuff that ironically,
[00:57:06] the least interesting part of those movies is the set.
[00:57:09] You can find the sex scenes online.
[00:57:10] Cause those are available.
[00:57:11] You just can't find the actual Mario.
[00:57:13] The actual stuff.
[00:57:15] Okay.
[00:57:15] Wouldn't that be amazing if you went to the hub and tried to find it and it
[00:57:18] says,
[00:57:18] Oh,
[00:57:18] due to a copyright claim by Nintendo of America,
[00:57:21] this move,
[00:57:22] this video has been removed.
[00:57:24] I like that.
[00:57:24] You call it the hub.
[00:57:27] You know what I'm talking about?
[00:57:29] Oh,
[00:57:29] of course.
[00:57:30] I'm just,
[00:57:30] I'm just saying.
[00:57:31] I never used that.
[00:57:32] I never used that nomenclature.
[00:57:33] Okay.
[00:57:34] I can't stand it anymore.
[00:57:35] Can we please talk about mind teaser?
[00:57:37] Mind teaser?
[00:57:39] Oh yeah.
[00:57:39] The only game quote unquote here.
[00:57:42] Yeah.
[00:57:42] I feel like that's the only game.
[00:57:43] Yeah.
[00:57:44] What do you have to say about it?
[00:57:46] I just,
[00:57:47] I just,
[00:57:48] I wasn't expecting a game at this point.
[00:57:50] I don't remember how many of these I looked at before I got to mind
[00:57:53] teaser,
[00:57:53] but I was just like,
[00:57:54] okay.
[00:57:54] And then it's just like the most bare bones,
[00:57:57] like CDI ass.
[00:57:59] Like,
[00:57:59] I love the guy saying like,
[00:58:01] good.
[00:58:01] We're try again.
[00:58:03] Try again.
[00:58:04] It was such a weird voice clip.
[00:58:05] And then with the music over it,
[00:58:07] it's just like,
[00:58:08] Oh man.
[00:58:08] So you're putting together this crappy little jigsaw puzzle.
[00:58:11] And I remember the first one,
[00:58:12] I forget which,
[00:58:13] which image I picked,
[00:58:14] but I remember the first one I was,
[00:58:16] it was almost complete.
[00:58:17] It was actually a fairly explicit picture.
[00:58:20] It was like,
[00:58:21] just laying down on the bed.
[00:58:22] Yeah.
[00:58:22] And his head is like right in there,
[00:58:24] dive,
[00:58:24] diving right in.
[00:58:25] So I was like,
[00:58:25] Oh,
[00:58:26] okay.
[00:58:26] We might actually be seeing some stuff.
[00:58:28] And then of course,
[00:58:29] when you complete the jigsaw puzzle,
[00:58:30] you get to see the porn clip and it was actually like,
[00:58:33] okay,
[00:58:33] it's still soft core.
[00:58:34] Right.
[00:58:35] But that was like,
[00:58:37] actually the most explicit game was mind teaser.
[00:58:40] I think.
[00:58:40] Ironically,
[00:58:41] the one named teaser has the most.
[00:58:44] Yeah.
[00:58:44] Like explicit suffix.
[00:58:45] Yeah.
[00:58:46] So I remember doing that.
[00:58:46] I was just like,
[00:58:47] yeah,
[00:58:47] let me just do it or whatever.
[00:58:49] And yeah,
[00:58:49] the,
[00:58:49] it's going to be a weird ass comparison,
[00:58:51] but the puzzle that does that stuff,
[00:58:53] it reminds me of like those fucking like CDI Bible games where you do like,
[00:58:57] where you do like the connect the dots and it would just be like,
[00:59:00] yippee.
[00:59:02] Made by the same company.
[00:59:06] Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.
[00:59:08] The power of the 3DO compels you.
[00:59:10] Yeah.
[00:59:10] But then like you'd finish the jigsaw puzzle and it just went right into it.
[00:59:14] And I was like,
[00:59:14] Oh shit.
[00:59:15] Yeah.
[00:59:15] Yeah.
[00:59:16] They're just here now.
[00:59:17] I didn't even zip my pants yet.
[00:59:19] Hold on.
[00:59:19] Hold on.
[00:59:20] Wait.
[00:59:20] There are so many,
[00:59:21] there are so many people at this,
[00:59:23] at this hotel pool.
[00:59:24] What's going on?
[00:59:26] Can you guys imagine that?
[00:59:27] I'm like an old school,
[00:59:28] like kiosk back in the day,
[00:59:30] like a 3DO porn game.
[00:59:31] I'm like a fucking like target.
[00:59:33] Like,
[00:59:34] Oh,
[00:59:34] what the hell is this?
[00:59:35] Like,
[00:59:36] Hey,
[00:59:36] here's how to sell the system.
[00:59:37] The one's buying.
[00:59:38] There's there's,
[00:59:39] here's the horde.
[00:59:40] Here's incredible machine.
[00:59:42] Here's icebreaker.
[00:59:43] And here's mind teaser.
[00:59:45] Yeah.
[00:59:46] That's the thing.
[00:59:47] But with the name of it,
[00:59:48] if you,
[00:59:49] if you roped it in with just random,
[00:59:51] like 3DO games,
[00:59:52] you probably wouldn't think it was bad.
[00:59:54] It doesn't sound bad.
[00:59:55] It's another shitty puzzle game.
[00:59:56] Like,
[00:59:57] yeah,
[00:59:57] I don't know.
[00:59:58] Aside from the cover,
[00:59:59] which is a bunch of girls,
[01:00:00] like pretty scantily.
[01:00:01] I think there's actually some video on the cover.
[01:00:03] Now that I think about it.
[01:00:04] Yeah.
[01:00:04] Yeah.
[01:00:05] I was just going mainly off the name.
[01:00:07] Yeah.
[01:00:08] You know,
[01:00:09] but okay.
[01:00:09] Something else about mind teaser though.
[01:00:11] Something else I noticed because I'm a pervert.
[01:00:15] There was a clip.
[01:00:16] Okay.
[01:00:16] There was a clip I saw.
[01:00:18] He's like doing her doggy style or whatever.
[01:00:20] That was a clip.
[01:00:21] And then it was just like,
[01:00:22] but the audio was very chopped up.
[01:00:25] It wasn't the audio from the actual movie.
[01:00:27] It was like moans and stuff pasted over like the scene.
[01:00:31] That's like in slow motion.
[01:00:35] Clearly,
[01:00:35] you know,
[01:00:36] you'd be hearing audio.
[01:00:38] Oh yeah.
[01:00:38] Fuck me harder.
[01:00:40] Yeah.
[01:00:40] Come on my test.
[01:00:41] Whatever.
[01:00:41] Do you don't hear any of that?
[01:00:43] You don't hear any of that.
[01:00:44] So like,
[01:00:44] are they afraid of like cussing and a 3DO soft core porn game or
[01:00:50] something?
[01:00:50] Like why was,
[01:00:51] why was the audio so chopped up?
[01:00:53] You were having a porn game.
[01:00:54] Are you worried about language now?
[01:00:56] Was that,
[01:00:56] was that the reason I don't understand what happened?
[01:01:00] Weird choice.
[01:01:01] I,
[01:01:01] I,
[01:01:01] this game really,
[01:01:02] I found really amusing.
[01:01:04] Cause like after going through all,
[01:01:05] this was the one I played last.
[01:01:06] Cause I knew it was the one that was probably going to be a
[01:01:08] game just by the,
[01:01:10] okay.
[01:01:10] The best for last.
[01:01:12] When I was doing,
[01:01:13] grabbing like the shots and stuff.
[01:01:14] This one,
[01:01:15] I saw the actual gameplay photos.
[01:01:16] I'm like,
[01:01:16] Oh,
[01:01:16] this one's a game.
[01:01:17] I'll save that for last.
[01:01:19] I just had this weird thought of like,
[01:01:21] imagine being like the guy who's like back then,
[01:01:23] who's like extremely desperate for anything.
[01:01:26] And he like gets this one and he starts playing.
[01:01:28] He's like,
[01:01:29] I got to work for it.
[01:01:30] Like,
[01:01:30] fuck.
[01:01:32] Yeah.
[01:01:32] Yeah.
[01:01:33] You have like the slider puzzles that surprisingly took me longer than I
[01:01:36] thought they would.
[01:01:37] I thought I would finish them in like a minute.
[01:01:39] It took me like two minutes.
[01:01:40] Like this is bullshit.
[01:01:41] I would have loved if they did it like the,
[01:01:43] like in twisted with the slider puzzles where it's,
[01:01:46] it's,
[01:01:47] it's animating.
[01:01:48] So you're just seeing like these chopped up pieces moving around as
[01:01:51] you're,
[01:01:51] that would be now just imagining like the porn version of twisted.
[01:01:55] And that would be amazing.
[01:01:58] Oh,
[01:01:58] when I was,
[01:01:58] when I was playing a mind teaser the whole time,
[01:02:00] I'm like,
[01:02:01] this is a,
[01:02:01] this is the weirdest twisted mini game yet.
[01:02:04] It weirdly would fit in.
[01:02:06] Actually.
[01:02:07] I take that over the goddamn grocery store one.
[01:02:10] Yeah.
[01:02:11] I think it's funny that you could,
[01:02:13] kind of like pause most of these videos and just hit it on one of those
[01:02:17] grainy stills of like something.
[01:02:20] And it's like,
[01:02:21] do people just like,
[01:02:21] Oh yeah,
[01:02:22] this is my favorite part.
[01:02:23] Let me,
[01:02:24] this is my now.
[01:02:25] I don't know.
[01:02:26] Like what are you,
[01:02:26] I,
[01:02:27] it's weird that you can,
[01:02:27] I guess why not?
[01:02:28] Right.
[01:02:29] I guess get up and get a drink.
[01:02:31] Oh yeah.
[01:02:31] The three dos controller,
[01:02:33] the pause features and like,
[01:02:34] like video features on it actually makes sense now.
[01:02:37] Could you like fast forward and rewind?
[01:02:39] You can.
[01:02:40] Yeah.
[01:02:43] Yeah.
[01:02:45] Then I'm surprised you didn't fast forward.
[01:02:48] I should have done that.
[01:02:49] That would have helped.
[01:02:50] Yeah.
[01:02:51] It's like,
[01:02:51] yo,
[01:02:51] yeah.
[01:02:52] Let me,
[01:02:52] I just weird that you can pause the actions.
[01:02:54] Like,
[01:02:54] Oh yeah.
[01:02:54] Let me spank it to this pixelated still via the power of my
[01:02:58] Panasonic three D O from the three D O company.
[01:03:01] That is exactly what I paid $700 for.
[01:03:03] Go buy a fucking hustler,
[01:03:05] man.
[01:03:05] That is a lot less than $700.
[01:03:07] Meanwhile,
[01:03:08] and there's a lot more stuff going on in there.
[01:03:11] Yeah.
[01:03:11] Oh yeah.
[01:03:12] As it's paused,
[01:03:13] the three D O's like reader is like screaming,
[01:03:15] like,
[01:03:15] please press play.
[01:03:16] I can't do this forever.
[01:03:18] Please put in crash and burn.
[01:03:20] I'll do anything.
[01:03:21] Yeah.
[01:03:22] I mean,
[01:03:22] yeah,
[01:03:23] I was talking about like,
[01:03:23] we didn't get to see any freaky shit in these,
[01:03:25] in these things.
[01:03:26] They're pretty vanilla.
[01:03:27] Yeah.
[01:03:27] Go buy a hustler.
[01:03:28] You'll get some real,
[01:03:29] you'll get some shit,
[01:03:30] right?
[01:03:30] Like for a lot.
[01:03:31] penthouse.
[01:03:33] Penthouse.
[01:03:34] So,
[01:03:35] oh yeah,
[01:03:35] yeah,
[01:03:36] yeah.
[01:03:36] You'll,
[01:03:36] you'll get some,
[01:03:37] you'll get some stuff.
[01:03:38] Hustler was the filthy one though.
[01:03:39] Hustler always had like those,
[01:03:42] you know,
[01:03:43] okay,
[01:03:43] we're gonna,
[01:03:44] you know,
[01:03:45] I'm not even going to describe it.
[01:03:46] Um,
[01:03:47] but yeah,
[01:03:48] I had a friend who's like,
[01:03:50] dad had like a stack of them from like the two thousands or whatever.
[01:03:53] And wow,
[01:03:56] that's all I'm going to say.
[01:03:57] Wow.
[01:03:58] Good stuff.
[01:03:58] Well,
[01:03:59] I,
[01:03:59] I mean,
[01:04:00] maybe that's how I turned out the way I did the first time I ever found,
[01:04:02] you know,
[01:04:02] cause you know,
[01:04:03] again,
[01:04:03] I'm old back in my day.
[01:04:05] You couldn't just go on the internet and look at porn.
[01:04:07] You had to literally find a magazine.
[01:04:08] Like I said,
[01:04:09] oh,
[01:04:10] you know,
[01:04:10] I heard so-and-so's friend's uncle has these magazines or,
[01:04:13] or you just find it by the dumpster.
[01:04:15] Cause someone's throwing them out,
[01:04:16] which is how I found a couple.
[01:04:17] And the first one I saw was a hustler.
[01:04:19] And I saw,
[01:04:19] boy,
[01:04:20] I learned that day.
[01:04:21] I tell you what I was looking at this.
[01:04:23] I was like,
[01:04:24] oh,
[01:04:25] I didn't know we were out here doing this.
[01:04:28] I didn't know.
[01:04:28] That can go in there.
[01:04:31] What?
[01:04:31] Yeah.
[01:04:32] I didn't know.
[01:04:33] But like,
[01:04:34] but like Dre,
[01:04:35] you never did like the film reel thing where you found like a fucking film reel and threw it on a projector.
[01:04:40] no,
[01:04:40] no,
[01:04:40] no.
[01:04:40] That's like way before.
[01:04:41] I know.
[01:04:42] Okay.
[01:04:42] My friend's dad had a couple,
[01:04:44] but we didn't know how to like use a projector.
[01:04:46] So we didn't.
[01:04:48] Yeah.
[01:04:49] That's like different from like our era where like,
[01:04:51] I remember like for me,
[01:04:52] it was like,
[01:04:53] I was on one of those like sketchy,
[01:04:54] um,
[01:04:55] anime sites where you to watch like,
[01:04:57] anime,
[01:04:57] like illegally.
[01:04:58] And they would have head ties slipped in and I wouldn't know.
[01:05:00] So I click on one.
[01:05:01] I'd be like,
[01:05:02] Oh,
[01:05:02] this is not what I was expecting in this.
[01:05:05] Yeah.
[01:05:06] Wordsworth.
[01:05:07] Get out of here.
[01:05:09] You're like,
[01:05:10] what cartoons do this?
[01:05:12] Yeah.
[01:05:13] We have cartoons.
[01:05:14] Like,
[01:05:14] I mean,
[01:05:14] cause like,
[01:05:15] yeah,
[01:05:15] I mean,
[01:05:15] I bought,
[01:05:16] I bought anime starting in like 93,
[01:05:18] 94.
[01:05:18] And of course I bought all the,
[01:05:20] all the fun titty stuff like new cutie honey or burn up or like all the,
[01:05:25] all the,
[01:05:26] basically all the hot girl cop shows are,
[01:05:29] are fighting crime.
[01:05:30] Right.
[01:05:30] That was always where they were guaranteed to take a shower afterwards.
[01:05:32] Cause I was 12 and that's what I wanted to see.
[01:05:34] What am I saying?
[01:05:35] I'm 42.
[01:05:36] And that's still what I want to see regardless.
[01:05:38] Um,
[01:05:39] that's why he has the fine time shower.
[01:05:41] That's why it's a fine.
[01:05:43] Girl in there.
[01:05:45] That's what I convinced Kevin to do every break.
[01:05:47] But yeah,
[01:05:47] point is like,
[01:05:49] I never accidentally bought like hentai.
[01:05:51] Cause like back then you had to order from member 80 vision,
[01:05:54] 80 V films,
[01:05:55] right?
[01:05:56] You had to,
[01:05:56] you,
[01:05:56] they sent you the catalog and you sent away the money order for the movies
[01:05:59] you wanted,
[01:05:59] but they also had a hint by section where it's like very explicitly
[01:06:02] saying,
[01:06:03] Hey,
[01:06:03] this is porn.
[01:06:04] This is 18 plus.
[01:06:06] This isn't your typical,
[01:06:07] like this isn't dirty pair or something like that.
[01:06:10] Like your typical anime from back then.
[01:06:11] This is.
[01:06:13] Yeah.
[01:06:14] They were a dirty pair.
[01:06:15] Um,
[01:06:16] I love dirty pair.
[01:06:17] Oh my God.
[01:06:17] Anyway.
[01:06:18] Um,
[01:06:19] but yeah,
[01:06:20] they,
[01:06:20] um,
[01:06:21] that was like very explicit.
[01:06:22] So you couldn't just stumble upon it.
[01:06:24] Like poor bill did here.
[01:06:25] You had to like actually go seeking it out.
[01:06:28] But yeah.
[01:06:29] Yeah.
[01:06:29] I don't know what scarred me more of that or accidentally watching Akira at
[01:06:33] like 12.
[01:06:34] Oh God.
[01:06:35] That'll fuck you up.
[01:06:36] For sure.
[01:06:37] Yeah.
[01:06:38] Yeah.
[01:06:38] Kids have it so easy these days when it comes to the,
[01:06:41] the,
[01:06:41] the pornography.
[01:06:42] Oh my God.
[01:06:43] I was thinking about just kind of its own issue.
[01:06:46] Yeah.
[01:06:47] Like again,
[01:06:48] again,
[01:06:48] we're not prudes here,
[01:06:49] but I think like the,
[01:06:51] the amount of access that kids have and the amount of exposure they can get to it.
[01:06:56] Like very young.
[01:06:57] like it definitely sucks with you up here.
[01:06:59] Yeah.
[01:06:59] We had mentioned it earlier.
[01:07:01] Like who was this really targeted towards?
[01:07:03] Like to me,
[01:07:04] like obviously it was targeted towards adults,
[01:07:06] but like the people that this would have appealed to,
[01:07:08] to me would be like back then,
[01:07:09] like the younger kids who are just first discovering this kind of media.
[01:07:15] Oh yeah.
[01:07:15] Oh yeah.
[01:07:16] Cause like,
[01:07:16] here's the thing.
[01:07:17] If I had saw,
[01:07:18] if I had saw this when I was like 12,
[01:07:20] 13,
[01:07:20] I would have thought this was like the hottest fucking thing I'd ever seen.
[01:07:22] You know what I mean?
[01:07:23] Like,
[01:07:23] yeah,
[01:07:23] of course.
[01:07:24] Like back then,
[01:07:25] cause I didn't have any frame of reference.
[01:07:26] I'm like,
[01:07:27] Oh my God.
[01:07:27] You know,
[01:07:28] like I'd be wearing out that pause button on that three.
[01:07:31] You know,
[01:07:31] I tell you,
[01:07:32] it's like,
[01:07:32] it has the vibe of like,
[01:07:36] of like,
[01:07:36] say like in like a movie or something where it's like all like the,
[01:07:39] the 13 year old,
[01:07:40] like discovers pornography.
[01:07:42] And if they ever show it on the TV,
[01:07:44] it's just like some like soft core thing,
[01:07:46] but they're just like staring at it,
[01:07:48] like eyes wide and all that stuff.
[01:07:49] Like this feels like the source material for like something else to be like,
[01:07:54] Oh,
[01:07:54] I discovered like my dad's porn shelf or whatever.
[01:07:58] It's like,
[01:07:58] I went out to the woods and I found like the pumpkin egg in the woods.
[01:08:02] It's like the kids who watched Titanic for the first time.
[01:08:05] And their favorite scene is the painting scene.
[01:08:07] Yeah.
[01:08:08] Yeah.
[01:08:09] Basically.
[01:08:10] Oh,
[01:08:10] God snaps the glass.
[01:08:12] Well,
[01:08:12] they didn't,
[01:08:13] uh,
[01:08:13] back in my,
[01:08:14] back in my day,
[01:08:15] they did.
[01:08:15] Like I said,
[01:08:16] they did not a card for M rated games,
[01:08:18] but they were certain.
[01:08:19] California was certainly very strict about R rated movies.
[01:08:21] So you had to have an adult take you in or at least buy your tickets.
[01:08:24] They didn't have to go in with you,
[01:08:25] but the,
[01:08:26] you had to get the,
[01:08:26] they had to buy your tickets.
[01:08:28] Um,
[01:08:28] I remember my friend's dad took me and three of our friends.
[01:08:32] So it was four of us boys.
[01:08:33] We're all like 15 to see starship troopers.
[01:08:35] Yep.
[01:08:35] I was exact.
[01:08:36] That was the one I was going to bring up as well.
[01:08:37] Oh baby.
[01:08:38] I tell you what,
[01:08:39] that was everyone's first pair of titties.
[01:08:41] Well,
[01:08:42] it wasn't my first I'll tell you cause it was a different Paul Verhoeven
[01:08:45] movie.
[01:08:45] It was the three tittied lady in total recall.
[01:08:48] That was literally the first hits I had ever seen.
[01:08:51] And that's why I'm so fucked up.
[01:08:53] The first time I ever saw tits was there was three of them.
[01:08:56] It's not supposed to happen.
[01:08:59] I didn't know that.
[01:08:59] Well,
[01:08:59] I mean,
[01:09:00] I obviously knew that,
[01:09:01] but it was like,
[01:09:01] okay,
[01:09:02] I guess she has three.
[01:09:03] I didn't know it was fake.
[01:09:04] I just thought maybe some ladies had three.
[01:09:07] It's like,
[01:09:08] what are you feeding that thing?
[01:09:12] Well,
[01:09:12] it's like,
[01:09:13] uh,
[01:09:13] my,
[01:09:13] uh,
[01:09:14] my,
[01:09:14] my mom will find this out now if she's still here.
[01:09:16] Um,
[01:09:18] my dad,
[01:09:18] um,
[01:09:19] my dad would watch starship troopers and he'd always tell me to get out
[01:09:21] of the room during the,
[01:09:22] uh,
[01:09:22] the scene with Diz.
[01:09:24] And of course,
[01:09:25] as a child,
[01:09:25] like you're going to be like,
[01:09:26] well,
[01:09:26] now I want to know.
[01:09:28] So of course,
[01:09:28] when I had a chance,
[01:09:29] I swiped the VHS and watched it on my own TV.
[01:09:32] And I was like,
[01:09:33] yeah.
[01:09:33] Oh,
[01:09:34] I remember one time for a split second,
[01:09:37] Bill.
[01:09:37] I thought you were about to say when your dad used to watch
[01:09:38] porn.
[01:09:41] when my,
[01:09:42] uh,
[01:09:43] I,
[01:09:43] my parents,
[01:09:44] I can't remember if it was at my mom's house or my dad's
[01:09:46] house,
[01:09:47] whatever.
[01:09:47] Um,
[01:09:48] but whatever,
[01:09:48] why was that someone's house for that week or weekend?
[01:09:51] And they rented,
[01:09:52] you guys know the Bruce Willis movie color of night.
[01:09:55] There was like an NC 17 version.
[01:09:57] Yes.
[01:09:58] Rated R version.
[01:09:59] They rented the NC 17 version.
[01:10:02] And I,
[01:10:03] and after they were done watching,
[01:10:04] of course I wasn't,
[01:10:05] no,
[01:10:05] you go play in a room or something.
[01:10:06] You can't watch this movie.
[01:10:07] Okay,
[01:10:07] fine.
[01:10:08] Two in the morning though.
[01:10:10] I was like,
[01:10:11] okay,
[01:10:11] I'm going to see what's in this movie guys.
[01:10:13] I was not prepared to see Bruce Willis is Dick.
[01:10:16] I really wasn't.
[01:10:17] I don't think anyone's ever prepared for that.
[01:10:20] I mean,
[01:10:20] look,
[01:10:20] the rest of the move,
[01:10:21] the rest of the movie.
[01:10:22] Yeah.
[01:10:22] I was like,
[01:10:22] Oh shit,
[01:10:23] this is some real shit,
[01:10:24] but I wasn't prepared for that part.
[01:10:25] I was like,
[01:10:26] Oh,
[01:10:26] okay.
[01:10:27] I don't know.
[01:10:28] It's again,
[01:10:28] it's like seeing when your parents naked accidentally or walking in
[01:10:30] on something.
[01:10:31] It's like,
[01:10:31] Oh,
[01:10:32] I wasn't,
[01:10:32] I didn't,
[01:10:33] I didn't really want to see that,
[01:10:34] but okay.
[01:10:34] Yeah.
[01:10:34] The rest of it.
[01:10:35] Sure.
[01:10:35] It's that image where like,
[01:10:37] no matter,
[01:10:37] like you close your eyes and you're like,
[01:10:38] it's still there.
[01:10:39] Yeah.
[01:10:40] I can,
[01:10:41] I can build.
[01:10:42] You're absolutely correct.
[01:10:43] I know it's a joke,
[01:10:43] but it's correct.
[01:10:44] I can literally see it right now.
[01:10:45] I can still see Bruce Willis as peenie.
[01:10:49] Well,
[01:10:50] there's,
[01:10:50] um,
[01:10:51] uh,
[01:10:51] there's a movie that,
[01:10:52] uh,
[01:10:52] let me see if I get it right.
[01:10:53] It's,
[01:10:53] um,
[01:10:54] yeah,
[01:10:54] it's world's greatest dad.
[01:10:56] It's a,
[01:10:57] it's a Robin Williams film where,
[01:10:58] uh,
[01:10:59] his son dies from autoerotic asphyxiation.
[01:11:02] And,
[01:11:03] uh,
[01:11:03] and basically Robin framed him.
[01:11:05] It's the whole thing to where it's like son committed suicide or
[01:11:07] whatever.
[01:11:07] And it's like a whole thing.
[01:11:08] But at the very end,
[01:11:09] Robin Williams gets naked and jumps in a pool.
[01:11:12] And,
[01:11:13] and when he goes into the pool,
[01:11:14] you see,
[01:11:15] you see his,
[01:11:16] his dick and balls.
[01:11:17] And I'm like,
[01:11:18] and that's,
[01:11:19] and that's where it's like,
[01:11:20] I have seen Robin Williams junk.
[01:11:22] Yeah.
[01:11:23] See,
[01:11:23] that's yours.
[01:11:24] Okay.
[01:11:24] Now build.
[01:11:25] Okay.
[01:11:25] Mine is a purpose.
[01:11:25] You're so wrong.
[01:11:26] Williams bills.
[01:11:27] Who is yours?
[01:11:28] What male celebrity were you not prepared to see some penis?
[01:11:31] Yeah.
[01:11:31] I was not prepared to see his Mrs.
[01:11:33] Doubtfire.
[01:11:35] He's thinking,
[01:11:36] he's,
[01:11:39] I love,
[01:11:40] he turned into like,
[01:11:41] he turned into the thinker,
[01:11:43] I hate to say it,
[01:11:44] but it was probably jackass one.
[01:11:46] I'm not going to.
[01:11:47] Okay.
[01:11:47] No,
[01:11:48] yeah.
[01:11:49] That's right.
[01:11:50] It was one either jackass one or two.
[01:11:53] The seat,
[01:11:53] the,
[01:11:53] the scene I vividly remembers the scene where fucking wee man just walks
[01:11:56] through the room on the table naked and just walks up.
[01:12:00] It's like,
[01:12:01] what the hell scene in that movie?
[01:12:04] Cause jackass one had the,
[01:12:06] um,
[01:12:06] it was when Chris Pontius,
[01:12:08] like his like dick was like in the little costume,
[01:12:10] right?
[01:12:11] No,
[01:12:11] that was,
[01:12:11] was that jackass two?
[01:12:13] One was kind of tame.
[01:12:15] Okay.
[01:12:15] Cause two,
[01:12:16] I remember like Chris Pontius,
[01:12:17] like his dick had the little costume and then,
[01:12:20] and then it was like a mouse bit it or some shit.
[01:12:23] A snake bit it.
[01:12:24] Cause it was a mouse.
[01:12:24] That's right.
[01:12:25] That yes.
[01:12:26] Yes.
[01:12:26] It was a mouse costume.
[01:12:28] It was a mouse costume.
[01:12:29] And it was like in like a little play.
[01:12:31] And then they threw like a snake and the snake just bit his dick.
[01:12:34] Well,
[01:12:34] I mean,
[01:12:34] the,
[01:12:35] the,
[01:12:35] the snake.
[01:12:36] Movies are insane.
[01:12:38] I can't,
[01:12:38] I hate jackass,
[01:12:40] but that's kind of funny.
[01:12:42] You know,
[01:12:42] that's fair.
[01:12:43] I respected that.
[01:12:44] The opening to four is literally,
[01:12:46] he's under a table and it's a Godzilla monster.
[01:12:49] That's literally his dick and balls.
[01:12:51] Yes.
[01:12:51] Yes.
[01:12:52] That was the recent one.
[01:12:53] Yeah.
[01:12:53] I saw that in theaters.
[01:12:55] You can buy stress balls of that.
[01:12:58] That movie did crazy.
[01:12:59] Well,
[01:13:00] that movie made a lot of money that jackass forever.
[01:13:02] I think.
[01:13:03] Yeah.
[01:13:03] Yeah.
[01:13:03] I'm not surprised.
[01:13:05] I,
[01:13:05] people have a lot of fondness for jackass because it's,
[01:13:08] it's watching a bunch of guys like just do dumb shit and it's funny.
[01:13:12] And they're having a fun time making it,
[01:13:14] you know?
[01:13:15] I,
[01:13:15] I,
[01:13:15] I understand the appeal.
[01:13:17] That is 100% not for me.
[01:13:19] I,
[01:13:20] and that's fine.
[01:13:21] That shit funny.
[01:13:21] You know what?
[01:13:22] Yeah.
[01:13:22] I get why I get why jackass was a thing.
[01:13:25] Well,
[01:13:25] especially on MTV.
[01:13:26] It was like,
[01:13:27] I just don't,
[01:13:27] I'm sorry.
[01:13:28] Like,
[01:13:28] this is just not,
[01:13:29] it's not doing it for me,
[01:13:31] but yeah.
[01:13:32] It turned me on to minute men.
[01:13:34] So that's all that matters.
[01:13:35] Okay.
[01:13:35] Oh yeah.
[01:13:37] I don't know if I have shit.
[01:13:39] Do I,
[01:13:40] am I out of,
[01:13:40] I'm looking through my porn notes.
[01:13:41] I don't even know anymore.
[01:13:43] I got to Dracula's dick that we didn't see.
[01:13:46] Um,
[01:13:47] I talked about mind teaser.
[01:13:49] I talked about the coven.
[01:13:51] Yeah.
[01:13:51] The production value.
[01:13:52] We don't make movies like that anymore.
[01:13:54] I'd love to play the,
[01:13:55] I'd love to play that video game in a blonde justice.
[01:13:59] Oh yeah.
[01:14:00] That looks like pole position.
[01:14:01] I'm like,
[01:14:02] I will play that late.
[01:14:04] Like lady,
[01:14:04] get your ass out of here.
[01:14:05] I'm trying to play pole position.
[01:14:07] That is legit.
[01:14:09] Been one of my things.
[01:14:10] Like if I were to ever like do like a YouTube series,
[01:14:13] I would want to evaluate video games in movies and TV and stuff.
[01:14:18] Like if not real ones,
[01:14:20] but like fake ones that they made.
[01:14:22] Yeah.
[01:14:22] You know,
[01:14:23] like that would be,
[01:14:23] I think that'd be interesting to see how they like either faked it or
[01:14:26] someone just programmed a thing real quick of like half a level to play
[01:14:29] on the TV or like whatever.
[01:14:31] Because I,
[01:14:32] I,
[01:14:32] whenever a movie had or a TV show had stuff,
[01:14:34] I was like,
[01:14:35] wait a second.
[01:14:35] What is that?
[01:14:36] What is that real?
[01:14:38] Like,
[01:14:38] like what was the game?
[01:14:39] Bart Simpson was trying to get Larry.
[01:14:41] No,
[01:14:41] no.
[01:14:42] Yeah.
[01:14:42] Bone storm,
[01:14:42] bone storm,
[01:14:43] bone storm.
[01:14:44] I play bone storm.
[01:14:45] I,
[01:14:46] I,
[01:14:46] for a second,
[01:14:46] I thought Larry,
[01:14:47] the looter.
[01:14:49] It just sounds like a character in the Simpson.
[01:14:52] Yeah.
[01:14:52] It just,
[01:14:53] I guess,
[01:14:53] I don't know,
[01:14:54] man.
[01:14:54] I just feel like these three,
[01:14:55] it's like I said at the top,
[01:14:56] if you were,
[01:14:57] if you had a 3DO,
[01:14:59] if you could afford that,
[01:15:00] you probably had a laser disc and you had like real deal laser,
[01:15:04] laser disc porn,
[01:15:04] man.
[01:15:05] That was some real pervert shit.
[01:15:06] I'm telling you,
[01:15:07] if I were of age at that time and I had the discretionary income,
[01:15:10] I tell you what,
[01:15:11] man,
[01:15:12] I'd be watching anime and porn on that laser disc.
[01:15:16] A friend of mine had a laser disc player for a while and I was surprised at like the quality that laser disc is.
[01:15:23] Yeah.
[01:15:23] It's not like,
[01:15:24] I'm surprised.
[01:15:24] Like it's not bad.
[01:15:25] It's not as good as a DVD,
[01:15:27] obviously not as good as a blu-ray,
[01:15:29] but it's,
[01:15:29] it's fuzzier than that.
[01:15:31] But like,
[01:15:31] yeah,
[01:15:31] it's,
[01:15:32] it's actually a decent enough quality for what it is.
[01:15:35] Like,
[01:15:35] I remember shit.
[01:15:37] I,
[01:15:38] I did much like 3DO.
[01:15:39] I went to one house that did have a laser disc and we watched something on there and it was something animated like secret of them or like,
[01:15:45] you know,
[01:15:46] one of those like eighties animated movies,
[01:15:48] cauldron.
[01:15:48] What was that?
[01:15:49] Disney one,
[01:15:50] black cauldron,
[01:15:50] black cauldron.
[01:15:51] Maybe it was that,
[01:15:52] but,
[01:15:52] but yeah,
[01:15:53] it was like a decent quality.
[01:15:55] So I'm like,
[01:15:55] okay,
[01:15:55] I could see some,
[01:15:56] I can see some porn on here,
[01:15:58] but,
[01:15:58] uh,
[01:15:59] never,
[01:16:00] never meant to be.
[01:16:01] Yeah.
[01:16:02] It was like when,
[01:16:03] when you try to find like movie,
[01:16:05] movie rips on YouTube.
[01:16:06] And if it said like the laser disc cut,
[01:16:08] then you're like,
[01:16:08] Oh,
[01:16:08] this is going to be like the good quality stuff.
[01:16:10] Well,
[01:16:10] isn't the laser disc cut the version of a who framed Roger rabbit?
[01:16:13] We can see a Jessica rabbit's tits or something.
[01:16:15] Yes.
[01:16:16] It's the scene where they crash the car.
[01:16:18] And for a few frames,
[01:16:19] you can,
[01:16:20] yeah,
[01:16:21] you can see her of Virginia,
[01:16:22] Virginia,
[01:16:23] her West Virginia.
[01:16:25] I,
[01:16:25] they showed,
[01:16:27] they showed that on the news.
[01:16:30] I only know about that because they showed it on the fucking nightly news at the time.
[01:16:35] They actually slowed it down and showed the frames.
[01:16:37] They didn't blur it out or anything.
[01:16:39] And I was like,
[01:16:39] again,
[01:16:40] I'm like one of that movie.
[01:16:40] I was like,
[01:16:41] I don't know,
[01:16:42] 10 or something,
[01:16:42] but this,
[01:16:43] they showed this in the early nineties when they discovered that was the case.
[01:16:45] Cause it wasn't right away when they discovered that,
[01:16:48] that you can see that.
[01:16:49] It was like later on.
[01:16:49] The theatrical cut.
[01:16:50] Yeah.
[01:16:51] It was like later on where you could,
[01:16:52] you could see it.
[01:16:53] Maybe it was on some sort of VHS cut or like you said,
[01:16:55] laser disc.
[01:16:56] Well,
[01:16:56] I think it was,
[01:16:57] I think it was laser disc and it was a big deal because a lot of laser discs had like a frame by frame mode where,
[01:17:02] where like you could just chunk through the frames because you can frame Roger rabbit had that.
[01:17:08] So you could go frame by frame and see those frames.
[01:17:12] You could do it on VHS,
[01:17:13] but it was like terrible.
[01:17:14] You couldn't really see it very well.
[01:17:16] And,
[01:17:16] you know,
[01:17:17] like in laser disc was like way better.
[01:17:19] Yeah.
[01:17:20] Oh,
[01:17:20] we also had the,
[01:17:21] we had the little mermaid box with the penis.
[01:17:23] Yeah.
[01:17:25] We have that too.
[01:17:25] Yeah.
[01:17:27] I love how that's an issue.
[01:17:28] But then when I tell people,
[01:17:29] Oh,
[01:17:30] the,
[01:17:30] the priest who's marrying them just straight up has a boner.
[01:17:32] Yeah.
[01:17:33] I noticed that.
[01:17:34] I noticed that when I was a kid,
[01:17:35] I was like,
[01:17:38] what?
[01:17:38] I,
[01:17:39] I,
[01:17:39] I was like,
[01:17:40] am I,
[01:17:40] am I crazy?
[01:17:41] Am I the only one who's seeing this?
[01:17:42] Yeah.
[01:17:42] I,
[01:17:42] I completely noticed that.
[01:17:44] We're just all a bunch of purrs.
[01:17:45] That's all.
[01:17:47] I never said anything because I was like,
[01:17:50] okay,
[01:17:50] I don't want to like,
[01:17:51] you know,
[01:17:51] Hey,
[01:17:51] is that guy have a,
[01:17:52] you know,
[01:17:53] boner,
[01:17:53] but you know,
[01:17:54] it's like,
[01:17:55] yeah,
[01:17:55] I was like,
[01:17:55] okay,
[01:17:56] I guess he's a little excited about it,
[01:17:58] but yeah,
[01:17:58] I really likes doing weddings.
[01:18:02] You got to do what you love.
[01:18:04] You got to do what turns you on.
[01:18:05] Right.
[01:18:06] He was just really nervous to do his like music number.
[01:18:13] Oh man.
[01:18:14] Talk about,
[01:18:15] I'm sorry.
[01:18:15] I'm sorry.
[01:18:15] I ran out of porn material so fast.
[01:18:20] like,
[01:18:20] like normal,
[01:18:21] like normally we all run out a little too fast.
[01:18:23] Yeah.
[01:18:24] Eventually.
[01:18:24] Hey,
[01:18:24] once you're done,
[01:18:25] you're done.
[01:18:25] Right.
[01:18:26] You don't want to,
[01:18:30] I still think these titles are amazing though.
[01:18:33] Like,
[01:18:33] Oh yeah.
[01:18:34] Read them off.
[01:18:34] Read them off for the piece.
[01:18:35] So please.
[01:18:36] So games we covered for this were immortal desire,
[01:18:40] the coven supermodels.
[01:18:44] Yeah.
[01:18:44] Coven.
[01:18:44] Coven.
[01:18:45] Coven sounds like oven,
[01:18:46] man.
[01:18:46] Yeah.
[01:18:47] The coven supermodels go wild.
[01:18:49] That one was the one that I was just like,
[01:18:51] that one was awful.
[01:18:53] Cause they're just like climbing a cliff.
[01:18:54] That's all.
[01:18:56] That's all.
[01:18:56] The whole time I was like playing that.
[01:18:58] I was playing.
[01:19:00] You're playing something,
[01:19:01] Bill.
[01:19:02] That was my,
[01:19:02] like,
[01:19:03] that was my moment as I went through these where I was like,
[01:19:05] what am I doing right now?
[01:19:06] What is it?
[01:19:07] What is my life?
[01:19:08] Really?
[01:19:08] What is my life?
[01:19:09] I thought that the entire time I was watching these,
[01:19:12] I'm like,
[01:19:12] I can't believe I'm fucking doing this.
[01:19:14] There was endlessly,
[01:19:15] which literally just looks like some like singer from like the eighties,
[01:19:18] like her album cover.
[01:19:20] Yeah.
[01:19:20] Basically.
[01:19:21] Yeah.
[01:19:22] Paul Abdul knockoff.
[01:19:23] Yeah.
[01:19:24] Yeah.
[01:19:24] The funniest one,
[01:19:25] which is just sex.
[01:19:26] Like that.
[01:19:28] And it's so tiny on the cover.
[01:19:30] Like it's literally like there's more boob on the cover than the actual.
[01:19:33] And that one didn't really have a plot.
[01:19:35] I don't,
[01:19:35] at least I don't remember a plot.
[01:19:36] That sex and super marbles go wild.
[01:19:39] We're like the worst ones.
[01:19:40] Those were bad.
[01:19:41] Cause most of it is just like,
[01:19:42] like lesbian shit,
[01:19:43] which is,
[01:19:44] I guess it's just like easier to get away with,
[01:19:45] but like,
[01:19:46] yeah,
[01:19:46] but you do.
[01:19:47] Even then you don't see any real Virginia or nothing.
[01:19:51] Then they,
[01:19:52] I don't know why I chose.
[01:19:53] Which one is it?
[01:19:54] I think it's coven.
[01:19:55] Like they actually scissor at one point.
[01:19:56] I'm like,
[01:19:56] Oh,
[01:19:57] Oh yeah.
[01:19:58] There we go.
[01:19:59] Like a little bit.
[01:19:59] Yeah.
[01:20:01] I'm pretty sure.
[01:20:02] That's why the coven is the one that's the most well-known.
[01:20:05] Yeah.
[01:20:05] Cause it goes further than some of the others,
[01:20:07] but no,
[01:20:08] it's the most explicit though.
[01:20:10] Like I said,
[01:20:10] I feel like that you get the most like actual,
[01:20:12] like I'll say bang for your buck.
[01:20:14] Wow.
[01:20:15] Oh my God.
[01:20:16] Wow.
[01:20:17] And then of course we had blonde justice and love bites.
[01:20:22] Love bites is definitely the least assuming the cover out of all.
[01:20:27] Yeah.
[01:20:27] Like crazy enough.
[01:20:29] Like if I had to see like the,
[01:20:31] like the film version,
[01:20:32] like the real version of one of these,
[01:20:34] it would be blonde justice.
[01:20:36] Cause I just want to see,
[01:20:37] cause from what we see,
[01:20:38] I'm like the plot.
[01:20:39] I'm like,
[01:20:39] this has to be fucking batshit in like context.
[01:20:42] And I was just like,
[01:20:43] I just want to see it from start to finish legit.
[01:20:46] Just,
[01:20:46] I would watch the coven.
[01:20:48] I would watch the coven.
[01:20:50] Because it has the most production value.
[01:20:52] And it starts out with like the lady just being like,
[01:20:54] Oh,
[01:20:54] you need a roommate.
[01:20:55] She's like,
[01:20:55] I like just posted that.
[01:20:56] She's like,
[01:20:57] Oh,
[01:20:57] I'll move it in.
[01:20:58] Like,
[01:20:58] it's like,
[01:20:59] what the fuck?
[01:20:59] And then it like devolves.
[01:21:01] Yeah.
[01:21:02] Very fast.
[01:21:02] Yeah.
[01:21:03] Like those two,
[01:21:03] I would just like to see just for like their plot,
[01:21:06] just to see where they fucking go.
[01:21:07] You know,
[01:21:08] I will watch the coven.
[01:21:09] And then someone else can just watch a mortal desire and show me that
[01:21:12] Dracula dick.
[01:21:13] I just want to see it.
[01:21:14] And then that's,
[01:21:15] that's it.
[01:21:15] Yeah.
[01:21:16] I'll send you a one 44 piece screenshot.
[01:21:20] I'm really curious right now.
[01:21:22] What is,
[01:21:22] what does the coven go for on eBay right now?
[01:21:26] Oh,
[01:21:26] too much money.
[01:21:28] Probably a lot.
[01:21:29] I mean,
[01:21:29] you might get the mark.
[01:21:30] If I can even find a copy.
[01:21:33] Let's find it.
[01:21:34] I'm very,
[01:21:34] damn.
[01:21:35] Oh yeah.
[01:21:35] There's,
[01:21:35] there's a ton of them.
[01:21:37] Hell yeah.
[01:21:38] They're all,
[01:21:38] they're all a hundred dollars plus.
[01:21:39] I figured that's what I said.
[01:21:40] I was going to,
[01:21:41] I was going to say a hundred bucks.
[01:21:42] Yeah.
[01:21:44] And let me check.
[01:21:45] Let me,
[01:21:45] let me get the,
[01:21:46] you can get the rare with the outer sleeve from France for three
[01:21:49] 15.
[01:21:51] From France.
[01:21:53] What were they doing?
[01:21:53] Watching our porn.
[01:21:54] Don't they?
[01:21:55] I mean,
[01:21:56] surely.
[01:21:56] So yeah,
[01:21:57] like the most expensive one on price trading is endlessly.
[01:22:00] And then it goes mine teaser,
[01:22:02] love bites,
[01:22:03] coven,
[01:22:05] blonde justice.
[01:22:07] There's the virtual vivid sampler,
[01:22:09] which has just like little bits of all the movies.
[01:22:11] So it makes even less sense.
[01:22:13] I think immortal desire is the cheapest one or no.
[01:22:17] Super bottles go wild is,
[01:22:18] and it's like,
[01:22:19] you can get it for like 60 bucks.
[01:22:21] Maybe not.
[01:22:23] We're not worth it.
[01:22:24] No,
[01:22:25] no,
[01:22:26] no,
[01:22:26] not even remotely.
[01:22:27] I don't know why when I typed in blonde justice,
[01:22:30] the first thing that pops up is a Superman figure.
[01:22:34] Hey,
[01:22:35] you know,
[01:22:36] it's a bird.
[01:22:37] It's a plane.
[01:22:38] No,
[01:22:39] it's a shitty game.
[01:22:40] It's a shitty game.
[01:22:41] A game quote unquote game.
[01:22:43] Yeah.
[01:22:43] Yeah.
[01:22:44] Yeah.
[01:22:44] Good luck finding any of those for cheap.
[01:22:48] Like plumbers don't wear ties.
[01:22:50] I was willing to spend like $200 on not any of those.
[01:22:54] No.
[01:22:55] Yeah.
[01:22:55] These are not worth spending money on at all.
[01:22:57] Cause plumbers don't wear ties is able to like make up for it's like
[01:23:02] lack of adult content.
[01:23:03] Cause it does kind of advertise itself as having that,
[01:23:05] but it makes up for by being one of the most insane fucking trips I've
[01:23:09] ever had playing a video game.
[01:23:10] Uh,
[01:23:11] the backstory behind it is more interesting than the game itself.
[01:23:14] Kind of.
[01:23:15] Yeah.
[01:23:16] But,
[01:23:16] um,
[01:23:17] but these do not do any of that when it comes to,
[01:23:20] um,
[01:23:21] like,
[01:23:22] like,
[01:23:23] like it's trying to be more like,
[01:23:24] it's more titillating for sure.
[01:23:26] You know,
[01:23:26] like,
[01:23:27] yeah.
[01:23:27] Like if you,
[01:23:28] if you like seeing like nineties,
[01:23:30] like bisexual tits,
[01:23:32] then,
[01:23:32] then this is,
[01:23:33] this is your thing,
[01:23:34] man.
[01:23:34] You are,
[01:23:35] you are living,
[01:23:36] you're living good.
[01:23:37] Oh my God.
[01:23:38] If this were,
[01:23:39] if this were fine time,
[01:23:40] this episode would be called bisexual tits.
[01:23:41] No doubt.
[01:23:42] No doubt.
[01:23:44] Cause I always name,
[01:23:46] uh,
[01:23:46] for listeners.
[01:23:47] Hey,
[01:23:47] I do a show called fine time.
[01:23:48] I'm not sure if I ever mentioned that yet,
[01:23:49] but,
[01:23:50] uh,
[01:23:50] every couple of weeks when we do what we call our big deal show,
[01:23:53] we named the episode after something we said in the episode.
[01:23:56] That would definitely be it.
[01:23:57] Bisexual tits.
[01:23:58] If they would let me get away with it.
[01:24:00] I mean,
[01:24:01] I don't know,
[01:24:02] but I mean,
[01:24:02] I assume,
[01:24:03] I don't know.
[01:24:03] I'm sure Apple doesn't care.
[01:24:05] Let's call one of our Bioshock episodes.
[01:24:08] Bisexual tits.
[01:24:11] They're already called the big daddies subtitled.
[01:24:13] So,
[01:24:13] I mean,
[01:24:14] yeah,
[01:24:14] fair enough.
[01:24:16] People are,
[01:24:16] they're getting there.
[01:24:17] Yeah.
[01:24:18] But yeah,
[01:24:19] yeah,
[01:24:19] but this just doesn't do like,
[01:24:22] like they don't work as porn.
[01:24:23] They don't work as video games.
[01:24:25] They just,
[01:24:26] they fail on all fronts.
[01:24:29] I do think they're interesting.
[01:24:31] Like I said,
[01:24:32] as literally like movies,
[01:24:34] because that's how we fashioned like porn movies back then is like real
[01:24:37] movies.
[01:24:38] However,
[01:24:38] I would just suggest you go on the hub as Thrat calls it and find an
[01:24:43] actual nineties porn movie,
[01:24:44] like full video to watch.
[01:24:46] Like,
[01:24:46] I think you'll just get your job.
[01:24:48] You don't need to play this.
[01:24:49] Just watch an actual one.
[01:24:51] Honestly.
[01:24:52] Yeah.
[01:24:52] Like,
[01:24:52] yeah.
[01:24:53] Like,
[01:24:53] like,
[01:24:53] like just go to the hub,
[01:24:54] type in soft core.
[01:24:56] There you go.
[01:24:57] If you like soft core,
[01:24:58] I'm not,
[01:24:59] I'm not judging.
[01:25:00] It's all good.
[01:25:01] You know,
[01:25:02] you don't know.
[01:25:03] Hey,
[01:25:03] you want a little window dressing.
[01:25:05] That's fine.
[01:25:06] Nothing wrong with that.
[01:25:07] No,
[01:25:08] I don't know the audience for soft core porn.
[01:25:09] I never have.
[01:25:10] And I never,
[01:25:11] I do.
[01:25:12] I would assume it's like women.
[01:25:15] Yeah.
[01:25:15] See,
[01:25:15] that was my assumption.
[01:25:17] But I don't,
[01:25:17] but I don't,
[01:25:18] but I don't want to like stereotype.
[01:25:21] So I,
[01:25:22] but like,
[01:25:23] I,
[01:25:23] yeah,
[01:25:24] I just never,
[01:25:24] I've never understood.
[01:25:25] And it will all put it this way.
[01:25:27] It's certainly not the audience who's spending $700 for a three.
[01:25:31] Okay.
[01:25:31] I'll tell you that.
[01:25:33] I'll tell you that much.
[01:25:34] Okay.
[01:25:35] So it's not weirdos in San Diego.
[01:25:39] Yeah.
[01:25:39] Well,
[01:25:39] see,
[01:25:39] I didn't dig through a shelf.
[01:25:40] He could have had some of those.
[01:25:41] I don't know.
[01:25:42] I don't know,
[01:25:43] but I definitely didn't see them.
[01:25:45] God.
[01:25:45] I wish I,
[01:25:46] what was that racing game?
[01:25:47] You said crash and burn.
[01:25:48] Maybe we played need for speed.
[01:25:51] Well,
[01:25:51] cause when crash and burn,
[01:25:52] when the 3DO came out,
[01:25:53] crash and burn was its only game for like three or four months.
[01:25:56] Oh my God.
[01:25:57] I forgot.
[01:25:58] So there's a high chance they had crash and burn.
[01:26:01] Okay.
[01:26:02] Maybe it might've had a road rash as well.
[01:26:04] Road rash probably was.
[01:26:06] Need for speed was need for speed out then.
[01:26:09] I don't know.
[01:26:09] Like,
[01:26:10] yeah,
[01:26:10] pretty early.
[01:26:10] Maybe it was that.
[01:26:12] Maybe it was that it.
[01:26:13] Well,
[01:26:13] like I said,
[01:26:14] it wasn't Gax's.
[01:26:15] It didn't exist yet.
[01:26:15] It wasn't.
[01:26:16] Yeah.
[01:26:16] We're not,
[01:26:17] we're not talking about good games.
[01:26:18] Okay.
[01:26:19] We're not even really talking about games.
[01:26:21] Not even like,
[01:26:23] not even good games.
[01:26:24] These aren't even game,
[01:26:24] but I guess my,
[01:26:25] again,
[01:26:25] mine teaser is a game,
[01:26:27] but you're not,
[01:26:28] your mind is not going to be teased by these puzzles.
[01:26:30] They want to see.
[01:26:31] It's not like the poor,
[01:26:32] it's not like the perfect games on a scene nowadays,
[01:26:35] like Hoony Pop or like whatever,
[01:26:37] where they really make you work for that match three shit to see the porn.
[01:26:41] No,
[01:26:41] these games want you to succeed.
[01:26:43] They want you to see the porn.
[01:26:44] You have to earn the,
[01:26:46] the bad butthole placement in those games.
[01:26:48] Okay.
[01:26:48] Oh yeah.
[01:26:49] what's the horrendous like game on steam that like you turn safe,
[01:26:53] safe search off.
[01:26:54] It's the one.
[01:26:54] Oh,
[01:26:55] sex with Hitler.
[01:26:56] That's the one.
[01:26:57] Yeah.
[01:26:58] I got a sequel.
[01:27:00] I think there's like four.
[01:27:01] There's sex with Hitler again.
[01:27:05] Yeah.
[01:27:06] Like,
[01:27:06] or,
[01:27:06] or the infamous flash games,
[01:27:08] the meat and fuck series.
[01:27:11] I don't know what those are.
[01:27:12] I don't know.
[01:27:13] You could probably still play them.
[01:27:15] They are.
[01:27:16] They're,
[01:27:17] they're a trip,
[01:27:17] man.
[01:27:17] There was a guy on new grounds back in the day who was like making this
[01:27:24] like princess peach,
[01:27:25] like porn game that went on for like decades.
[01:27:28] Like it was a side scroller.
[01:27:30] Decades.
[01:27:31] It was another Justin Wang video,
[01:27:33] but I guess it,
[01:27:35] it,
[01:27:36] it went,
[01:27:36] it went unnoticed for like years.
[01:27:38] And then Nintendo finally noticed it and striped it down.
[01:27:41] And he's the guy,
[01:27:42] the creator is so buttered because he spent his life making it.
[01:27:45] Why did,
[01:27:47] why did it take him his life to make smut?
[01:27:49] Why did it take him his life to make smut?
[01:27:51] Also,
[01:27:51] you know,
[01:27:51] you can,
[01:27:52] you know how Nintendo is.
[01:27:53] You can't be,
[01:27:54] you know,
[01:27:54] you're going to get that shit shut down.
[01:27:56] Yeah.
[01:27:57] Like,
[01:27:57] yeah.
[01:27:58] Like it's just crazy.
[01:27:59] It's crazy how people will still do that shit and know that like Nintendo is going to get after him,
[01:28:04] but they're like,
[01:28:04] I don't care.
[01:28:05] It's like,
[01:28:06] bro,
[01:28:06] they're going to get you.
[01:28:07] Yeah.
[01:28:07] You can't be upset about it afterwards.
[01:28:09] It's like,
[01:28:09] do you remember?
[01:28:10] I don't know.
[01:28:11] The real porn is when Nintendo fucks you.
[01:28:14] That is lawyers.
[01:28:15] Nintendo ninjas.
[01:28:17] Nintendo ninjas.
[01:28:17] Um,
[01:28:18] remember the member square shut down that you guys remember.
[01:28:21] Someone's making like a 3d chrono trigger thing.
[01:28:23] Like,
[01:28:24] uh,
[01:28:24] this is like,
[01:28:24] I want to say mid to late two thousands.
[01:28:27] Someone was doing this and square shut it down and everyone got so mad and it happens every time.
[01:28:32] And it's like,
[01:28:33] guys,
[01:28:33] you just,
[01:28:34] these companies will not let you do this.
[01:28:36] You cannot put that kind of resources into stuff like this.
[01:28:39] They will get you every time.
[01:28:41] Oh yeah.
[01:28:41] You can't see when you mentioned square with what we've been talking about.
[01:28:46] I thought you were going to talk about Tifa in Italy.
[01:28:48] Yeah.
[01:28:49] What the fuck is that?
[01:28:50] I don't even know what that is.
[01:28:51] Oh,
[01:28:52] it was,
[01:28:52] um,
[01:28:52] it was at the Italian like congression,
[01:28:55] like Congress or whatever.
[01:28:56] Okay.
[01:28:57] Like,
[01:28:57] like for some reason,
[01:28:58] one of the guys,
[01:28:59] like,
[01:28:59] I think it was like his computer or whatever had like fucking like Tifa,
[01:29:02] like fucking porn on it.
[01:29:04] And it showed on the screen for like,
[01:29:06] I thought it was somebody got hacked or something or was it?
[01:29:08] No,
[01:29:09] the dude had it on his computer,
[01:29:10] but it's,
[01:29:12] it's like,
[01:29:12] why would you have that up when you're fucking there?
[01:29:14] It's literally just an image.
[01:29:16] It was during COVID.
[01:29:17] It's like,
[01:29:17] it was during COVID.
[01:29:18] So yeah,
[01:29:19] it's like a CDI.
[01:29:20] I'll send you a link,
[01:29:21] Drey.
[01:29:21] He fucking railed.
[01:29:22] And my favorite part about it is like,
[01:29:24] there's,
[01:29:25] um,
[01:29:25] one of like the,
[01:29:26] the ladies in the background,
[01:29:27] she's like watching,
[01:29:28] she's all like,
[01:29:29] like,
[01:29:29] she's like into it.
[01:29:30] I'm just like,
[01:29:31] okay.
[01:29:32] I thought you're,
[01:29:33] you guys remember last year,
[01:29:35] early in street fighter six is life.
[01:29:36] There was an online tournament.
[01:29:37] Someone had a Chun-Li nude mod on.
[01:29:40] Yeah.
[01:29:40] Accidentally.
[01:29:41] And it was on like an official,
[01:29:42] it was on like an official thing.
[01:29:44] Cause it was like an online tournament.
[01:29:45] So someone's PC mod and look,
[01:29:48] it was a really good mod.
[01:29:49] I mean,
[01:29:50] I'm not going to lie,
[01:29:51] but wow.
[01:29:52] When that showed up,
[01:29:53] the announcers didn't know what to say.
[01:29:54] Nobody knew what to say.
[01:29:55] We were just,
[01:29:55] everyone was just like,
[01:29:57] Whoa.
[01:29:58] Whoa.
[01:29:58] And then Capcom.
[01:29:59] I think that's legit.
[01:30:00] Like Capcom cracked down on a bunch of like mods recently because of,
[01:30:03] because of that.
[01:30:04] Cause they don't want to be,
[01:30:05] I feel like there's companies like that,
[01:30:07] right?
[01:30:07] Just don't embarrass us.
[01:30:08] Don't make,
[01:30:09] don't make cammy naked or something like that.
[01:30:11] Otherwise like do whatever you want.
[01:30:13] Right.
[01:30:13] But these guys get out here with the,
[01:30:15] Oh,
[01:30:15] we're going to make a Metroid six or something like that.
[01:30:18] And it's like,
[01:30:18] guys,
[01:30:19] don't,
[01:30:19] don't waste your time,
[01:30:20] please.
[01:30:29] So these are all must plays,
[01:30:31] right?
[01:30:31] Yeah.
[01:30:34] I was going to just like for,
[01:30:35] for,
[01:30:36] for okay.
[01:30:37] Must play stay away.
[01:30:38] I just grouped them all.
[01:30:39] Wait,
[01:30:39] there are no critical reviews for these.
[01:30:41] I can't even find like,
[01:30:43] I can't even find info on this company.
[01:30:45] Like there's,
[01:30:45] there's no way.
[01:30:46] Like there's like literally nothing.
[01:30:49] Like it is,
[01:30:50] it is a weird rabbit hole that I'm like trying to find.
[01:30:52] I was,
[01:30:53] I like went on a,
[01:30:53] like a day long,
[01:30:54] like deep dive,
[01:30:55] just trying to find something.
[01:30:56] Did Moby games have anything?
[01:30:58] Moby games has entries for two games.
[01:31:01] It's mind teaser and blonde justice.
[01:31:04] Like,
[01:31:04] but there's a really,
[01:31:06] yeah,
[01:31:06] I know.
[01:31:07] It's like,
[01:31:07] there's like not that much,
[01:31:09] like even to,
[01:31:10] let me bring it up again.
[01:31:12] It will be games.
[01:31:14] Yeah,
[01:31:14] they have,
[01:31:15] um,
[01:31:16] they,
[01:31:17] oh no.
[01:31:17] Oh,
[01:31:17] what?
[01:31:18] No,
[01:31:18] it's mind teaser and man parts.
[01:31:20] What the fuck is that?
[01:31:21] Man parts.
[01:31:23] What?
[01:31:23] Did we miss one?
[01:31:25] God.
[01:31:25] So it was like a gay version we have to play now.
[01:31:27] Like we have to do a part two.
[01:31:30] It wasn't released on three.
[01:31:32] Do it was a windows thing.
[01:31:33] Oh,
[01:31:34] damn.
[01:31:36] It was planned for the three.
[01:31:38] Do,
[01:31:38] but got canceled.
[01:31:39] This description is great.
[01:31:41] This description is amazing.
[01:31:42] Man parts is an adult theme.
[01:31:44] Jigsaw puzzle game containing 36 handsome pictures of men to ogle over.
[01:31:48] Game difficulty can be adjusted.
[01:31:50] And after each puzzle,
[01:31:51] your personal male dancer will dance just for you.
[01:31:55] So they're definitely not showing any dick,
[01:31:57] right?
[01:31:58] There's just no way.
[01:31:59] That's like California,
[01:32:00] big hunks.
[01:32:01] They're going to show.
[01:32:02] Would they show some ass?
[01:32:04] I,
[01:32:04] it's probably like a Chippendales thing.
[01:32:07] Yeah.
[01:32:07] Like a thong or something like that.
[01:32:09] Yeah.
[01:32:09] And that's like,
[01:32:10] that's it.
[01:32:10] My guess here is that this is the male version of mind teaser.
[01:32:14] Right.
[01:32:15] So I was wondering how explicit they get.
[01:32:17] Cause they showed some,
[01:32:17] you know,
[01:32:18] they,
[01:32:18] that was the most explicit game that we played.
[01:32:20] So I was like,
[01:32:21] okay,
[01:32:21] they show a little,
[01:32:22] little happy trail or something,
[01:32:23] maybe.
[01:32:24] Or so.
[01:32:24] I don't know.
[01:32:25] I wonder how,
[01:32:25] I wonder how far they go.
[01:32:27] well,
[01:32:28] that one was on PC.
[01:32:29] So maybe it was actually more than,
[01:32:31] Oh,
[01:32:31] so they're not bound to PC.
[01:32:33] It's fucking lawless.
[01:32:34] You can do whatever the fuck you want.
[01:32:36] We were just talking about steam.
[01:32:37] Yeah.
[01:32:40] Yeah.
[01:32:40] Yeah.
[01:32:41] That's a,
[01:32:42] this company's weird.
[01:32:43] Like there's,
[01:32:44] there's a lot here.
[01:32:46] It's very vivid.
[01:32:48] Yeah.
[01:32:48] We're going to find out.
[01:32:48] These are like ghosts developed by Konami or something like that.
[01:32:53] Who developed?
[01:32:54] The current,
[01:32:56] Jack Ryan.
[01:32:59] Trip Hopkins has like copies of these stashed somewhere.
[01:33:04] Oh yeah.
[01:33:04] He has them.
[01:33:05] The glass case.
[01:33:08] So you have must play.
[01:33:09] Okay.
[01:33:10] Stay away.
[01:33:10] Like I was,
[01:33:12] I was just going to put the shrug emoji.
[01:33:18] Mine teaser is the only game here and it's not a game and you don't really get anything too exciting.
[01:33:23] It is the most explicit one,
[01:33:25] but so I,
[01:33:26] I honestly,
[01:33:27] if you're going to be,
[01:33:28] like I said,
[01:33:29] if you're curious about any of these,
[01:33:30] just do the play,
[01:33:32] play mine teaser,
[01:33:33] the coven,
[01:33:33] you should actually find the real video somewhere.
[01:33:37] Mine teaser,
[01:33:38] I guess.
[01:33:38] And then even then,
[01:33:40] you know,
[01:33:40] you got to be a real curious pervert.
[01:33:43] It's about all I can say.
[01:33:46] Yeah.
[01:33:47] Really?
[01:33:47] They're all like stayaways.
[01:33:49] Like if you want to watch some like weird nineties pornography,
[01:33:53] like there's a lot more out there.
[01:33:56] A recommendation I have is this amazing video called how to have cyber sex on the internet.
[01:34:02] So,
[01:34:04] um,
[01:34:04] so go hunt,
[01:34:06] go hunt that down and go watch that because that is a fucking trip,
[01:34:12] man.
[01:34:12] Okay.
[01:34:13] Um,
[01:34:13] go watch that instead of playing this bullshit.
[01:34:16] So there you go.
[01:34:17] As opposed to like having cyber sex in real life.
[01:34:18] Of course you have cyber sex on the internet,
[01:34:20] but like,
[01:34:21] but like,
[01:34:21] imagine it's like 1996 and they're like trying to teach you how to have cyber sex in the chat room.
[01:34:28] Imagine you're like,
[01:34:29] you're like in the chat room.
[01:34:31] This is like,
[01:34:32] this is like the nineties and like dial up in and imagine you're in the middle of it.
[01:34:35] Your mom picks up the phone next door.
[01:34:37] It's like,
[01:34:37] well,
[01:34:37] there you go.
[01:34:38] It's over.
[01:34:39] Yeah.
[01:34:40] Yeah.
[01:34:40] Nevermind.
[01:34:41] I'm done now.
[01:34:42] Last time I checked the rip for that is on the internet archive.
[01:34:46] Okay.
[01:34:47] I will.
[01:34:48] I'm very curious to do this for research purposes.
[01:34:51] Of course.
[01:34:52] It's kind of amazing.
[01:34:54] I,
[01:34:54] I will,
[01:34:55] uh,
[01:34:55] I will have to peruse.
[01:34:59] Um,
[01:34:59] yeah.
[01:34:59] So we got,
[01:35:01] I got anything else we want to go or do we,
[01:35:04] uh,
[01:35:05] like they say,
[01:35:06] I'm spent.
[01:35:08] I'm drained.
[01:35:12] This was a,
[01:35:13] this was a box office.
[01:35:18] We're out of here.
[01:35:19] But,
[01:35:20] um,
[01:35:20] yeah,
[01:35:21] once again,
[01:35:21] before I do my ending spiel,
[01:35:23] Dre,
[01:35:23] thanks.
[01:35:24] Thanks for joining us for this.
[01:35:25] This was,
[01:35:25] this was honestly a really entertaining.
[01:35:27] Thank you.
[01:35:27] Thank you for having me for this.
[01:35:29] Sorry,
[01:35:29] Steve's internet didn't work out,
[01:35:31] but,
[01:35:31] uh,
[01:35:31] we are,
[01:35:31] I was perfect enough for the both of us.
[01:35:33] I hope we couldn't have done this without you.
[01:35:35] Dre.
[01:35:35] Thank you.
[01:35:36] Thank you.
[01:35:37] Thanks for having me.
[01:35:38] This is,
[01:35:38] this is fun.
[01:35:39] Maybe we can talk about a real video game sometime too.
[01:35:41] Yes.
[01:35:41] This,
[01:35:42] this is the best racing we've ever had.
[01:35:46] Sorry.
[01:35:47] I had to throw that one in.
[01:35:48] Well,
[01:35:48] as we said,
[01:35:50] well,
[01:35:50] as we said,
[01:35:51] there is another adult game that we didn't cover,
[01:35:53] but I think it's actually a game.
[01:35:56] Oh,
[01:35:57] it's called Nero dancer journey into the Nero net.
[01:36:05] So yeah.
[01:36:06] Um,
[01:36:07] or,
[01:36:07] or,
[01:36:07] or yeah,
[01:36:08] we can get you on for something fucking real.
[01:36:10] I don't know.
[01:36:10] Yeah.
[01:36:10] I want to play a real video game.
[01:36:12] Now that I,
[01:36:13] now that I have all the 3do emulation set up,
[01:36:15] I'm ready to play a real video game.
[01:36:17] Now.
[01:36:17] Sounds good.
[01:36:18] I'll send you the list.
[01:36:19] Okay.
[01:36:20] Look at it.
[01:36:21] We have an open door policy with this show.
[01:36:23] So anytime,
[01:36:24] like just send us a game that you're interested in and yeah,
[01:36:27] we'll set it up.
[01:36:28] Like I,
[01:36:29] that's what I did to flashback 64.
[01:36:30] I said,
[01:36:31] I'm coming on your,
[01:36:32] I'm inviting myself on your show to talk body harvest.
[01:36:34] Whenever you get there,
[01:36:35] I'm talking body harvest.
[01:36:36] Okay.
[01:36:38] So I mean,
[01:36:39] that's,
[01:36:39] that's how I am with some others.
[01:36:40] Like,
[01:36:41] I think I told bar silence,
[01:36:42] like whenever you do the Sonic episode,
[01:36:43] I'm there.
[01:36:45] Yeah.
[01:36:45] You have to have me.
[01:36:46] It's just,
[01:36:47] it is what it is.
[01:36:48] I think the funniest one is like when I,
[01:36:50] I got invited onto a fun and games,
[01:36:53] like I wasn't even the one that asked,
[01:36:55] like,
[01:36:56] I think,
[01:36:57] I think it was Matt.
[01:36:58] He was asking about,
[01:36:59] does anyone know anyone who's good with game gear and like free people
[01:37:02] were like,
[01:37:02] get bill.
[01:37:03] And I'm like sitting there going like,
[01:37:04] yeah,
[01:37:04] I remember that actually.
[01:37:07] And I was sitting here thinking like,
[01:37:08] I'm not even that big of a game gear guy,
[01:37:11] but sure.
[01:37:12] Yeah.
[01:37:13] Your name came up for some reason.
[01:37:15] Yeah.
[01:37:16] I,
[01:37:17] I,
[01:37:17] I,
[01:37:18] I,
[01:37:18] I,
[01:37:18] I,
[01:37:18] I said that to Dave,
[01:37:19] Dave Jackson also.
[01:37:20] It was like,
[01:37:21] if you're going to talk UFO 50 and you don't have me on,
[01:37:24] I'm going to be deeply,
[01:37:26] deeply upset.
[01:37:27] I'm just,
[01:37:27] I'm just telling you right now,
[01:37:28] you can upset me.
[01:37:29] It's your show,
[01:37:29] but I'm just telling you how I'm going to feel ahead of time.
[01:37:32] Well,
[01:37:32] if Dave Jackson ever plays a Sonic game for backlog,
[01:37:35] I will be the defender right now.
[01:37:39] And is having a bad time,
[01:37:41] but he's not,
[01:37:43] but he's not playing it for the show.
[01:37:45] Cause otherwise I'd be like,
[01:37:46] I need to be the defense council here.
[01:37:48] You know,
[01:37:48] I'm going to have to be,
[01:37:49] you know,
[01:37:50] you know,
[01:37:50] I love Sonic adventure.
[01:37:51] So I love it too.
[01:37:54] I mean,
[01:37:54] I,
[01:37:54] I mean,
[01:37:55] I did say to him adventure two is the better of the two.
[01:37:58] It really is.
[01:37:58] I don't know.
[01:37:59] I like one more.
[01:38:00] They're very different.
[01:38:01] They're very different for Dave.
[01:38:04] I think he would enjoy adventure two more.
[01:38:06] of course,
[01:38:06] of course.
[01:38:07] Yeah.
[01:38:07] Who is held together better?
[01:38:08] One.
[01:38:09] I love one,
[01:38:10] but one is kind of like falling apart at the seams.
[01:38:12] One is a little,
[01:38:14] one is a little too archaic.
[01:38:15] It's a little too archaic.
[01:38:16] One is an insane video game for a lot of reasons.
[01:38:19] I can't help,
[01:38:20] but admire it.
[01:38:21] It is.
[01:38:22] It is something I love that the time still of it now.
[01:38:25] So,
[01:38:25] you know,
[01:38:26] what can I say?
[01:38:27] I'm so happy.
[01:38:28] I forget.
[01:38:28] I forget.
[01:38:28] I always forget.
[01:38:29] I don't like Sonic too.
[01:38:30] I always forget.
[01:38:31] Yeah.
[01:38:32] That's how me and Bill started doing this shit.
[01:38:34] Yeah.
[01:38:35] We did a Sonic episode for GNC and he invited himself as the host.
[01:38:40] And I said,
[01:38:40] yeah,
[01:38:40] this show is never coming back.
[01:38:41] Otherwise,
[01:38:42] why not?
[01:38:44] Eventually we'll full circle and talk about some Sonic bullshit on here.
[01:38:48] Oh yeah.
[01:38:49] I,
[01:38:50] Oh,
[01:38:51] but does it still,
[01:38:51] does that Sonic Avengers,
[01:38:53] does it still have the E,
[01:38:53] the E for everyone with the poof around it?
[01:38:56] Or does it have the salt?
[01:38:57] Oh yeah.
[01:38:57] It's the old one before they went to the black,
[01:38:59] uh,
[01:39:00] before they went to the black lettering.
[01:39:01] I have the,
[01:39:02] I have the green.
[01:39:03] It's a clean ass copy too.
[01:39:05] Look how nice that is.
[01:39:06] I have the Sega mega hits version,
[01:39:07] which is like the black,
[01:39:08] the all-star label saying all-stars.
[01:39:11] It's the one with like the black dreamcast logo.
[01:39:13] And then it has like an orange spine and it's hideous,
[01:39:15] but I kind of love it.
[01:39:16] Yeah.
[01:39:16] It's weird.
[01:39:17] Yeah.
[01:39:17] I forgot.
[01:39:17] They have the,
[01:39:18] those greatest hits.
[01:39:19] Yeah.
[01:39:20] But yes,
[01:39:20] during the dreamcast era,
[01:39:22] they changed to the black,
[01:39:23] uh,
[01:39:23] they changed the ESRB logo.
[01:39:25] Yeah.
[01:39:25] So,
[01:39:25] and then in the mid 2010s,
[01:39:27] they slightly adjusted it,
[01:39:29] but like nobody noticed or fucking care.
[01:39:31] I didn't know.
[01:39:34] I didn't know.
[01:39:34] I didn't know.
[01:39:35] I didn't know.
[01:39:37] The first E10 game.
[01:39:39] This is what,
[01:39:39] what?
[01:39:40] 2005.
[01:39:41] I was like,
[01:39:42] E10.
[01:39:43] See,
[01:39:43] the first time I ever saw E10 was when I was going through the rental store and
[01:39:49] they had shadow,
[01:39:50] the hedgehog.
[01:39:50] That was also one of the first ones.
[01:39:53] Yeah.
[01:39:53] Yeah.
[01:39:54] Yeah.
[01:39:54] I only realized a few years ago that they got rid of,
[01:39:56] uh,
[01:39:57] early childhood.
[01:39:58] Yeah.
[01:39:58] They,
[01:39:59] they've never used it though.
[01:40:00] So it was,
[01:40:00] they did,
[01:40:01] but it was for like Sesame street numbers on the fucking BS.
[01:40:05] Rayman brain games.
[01:40:07] Oh,
[01:40:08] that Sesame street game on the,
[01:40:09] on the N64,
[01:40:10] I think was easy.
[01:40:12] Oh,
[01:40:12] there's two letter journey and number adventure.
[01:40:15] Yeah.
[01:40:16] I think those are easy,
[01:40:17] but yeah,
[01:40:19] there's some great,
[01:40:20] there's some great,
[01:40:21] um,
[01:40:22] like when hard drive did their ranking of the N64 games,
[01:40:25] the,
[01:40:25] the,
[01:40:25] the two they wrote up for those games are like some of the funniest shit I've
[01:40:28] ever read.
[01:40:29] Oh yeah.
[01:40:29] It's really funny.
[01:40:30] Good stuff.
[01:40:31] Yep.
[01:40:32] Um,
[01:40:33] yeah,
[01:40:33] we could probably end up rambling forever.
[01:40:35] Well,
[01:40:36] we,
[01:40:36] we had,
[01:40:36] we had to talk about some actual video games.
[01:40:39] I know.
[01:40:40] Come back to earth.
[01:40:41] So,
[01:40:42] before I sign off,
[01:40:43] Dre,
[01:40:43] do you want to shout out a fine time one more time or,
[01:40:45] uh,
[01:40:46] yeah.
[01:40:46] Fine time is a show me,
[01:40:48] Steve.
[01:40:48] Sorry.
[01:40:49] You couldn't be here today.
[01:40:50] And Kevin,
[01:40:50] the three of us,
[01:40:51] whatever we are playing new games,
[01:40:53] old games,
[01:40:54] it doesn't matter.
[01:40:55] Bad games,
[01:40:55] good games,
[01:40:56] whatever we are currently playing.
[01:40:57] It's what we talk about.
[01:40:58] We like to do the news like you guys,
[01:41:00] but we get a little more in depth with it.
[01:41:01] We'd like to really like dig into some sort of meaty topics there.
[01:41:04] We love to play games.
[01:41:05] We love to embarrass each other with quizzes and stuff.
[01:41:08] Like,
[01:41:09] uh,
[01:41:09] my go-to example is like,
[01:41:10] I don't know shit about Pokemon.
[01:41:12] So with,
[01:41:12] with me,
[01:41:13] Steve plays Pokemon real or fake.
[01:41:15] And I have to guess whether the name he said is a real Pokemon or one he just made up.
[01:41:19] That's fun.
[01:41:20] One time I went one for 10.
[01:41:22] That's how bad I am at that game.
[01:41:24] And it's a 50,
[01:41:25] 50 chance of me getting it right.
[01:41:27] I went one for 10.
[01:41:28] Um,
[01:41:28] anyway,
[01:41:29] yeah,
[01:41:29] uh,
[01:41:29] we just,
[01:41:30] we love to laugh.
[01:41:31] We love to talk video games.
[01:41:32] So come have a fine time with us.
[01:41:35] How's that?
[01:41:35] Nice.
[01:41:36] Love it.
[01:41:37] Perfect.
[01:41:37] And I'll have a link for that in the description of this video.
[01:41:40] Thank you.
[01:41:40] Thanks for having me.
[01:41:41] This was actually,
[01:41:42] this is really fun.
[01:41:43] I'm glad there's a weird,
[01:41:44] weird topic like this.
[01:41:46] I mean,
[01:41:46] we've been like,
[01:41:47] we've been talking for like a couple of years now and like,
[01:41:49] we still have yet to actually do a podcast together.
[01:41:51] So it's glad we could finally like get this one.
[01:41:53] I'm glad we are doing Galgan.
[01:41:54] We are absolutely doing that one day.
[01:41:56] I'm,
[01:41:56] I'm committed.
[01:41:57] That's on my board of fine time stuff to do.
[01:41:59] So I have all three of the games.
[01:42:02] So like whenever,
[01:42:03] just let me know and I'll get them.
[01:42:04] I need to get returns.
[01:42:05] I guess,
[01:42:05] I guess I'll get it on steam or something sometime.
[01:42:07] And then,
[01:42:08] yeah,
[01:42:08] I'll,
[01:42:08] I'll have,
[01:42:09] cause I have the other ones on PS4,
[01:42:11] PS5.
[01:42:11] So yeah.
[01:42:12] You two will do Galgan.
[01:42:14] And then me and Dre will do Custer's revenge.
[01:42:18] Shortest pod.
[01:42:19] It'll be shorter than one of our current,
[01:42:20] the cinema platformer shows.
[01:42:23] well,
[01:42:23] we could do shadow generations at any point.
[01:42:26] So yeah,
[01:42:26] we do.
[01:42:27] Yeah,
[01:42:27] we should,
[01:42:27] we should do that.
[01:42:28] We should do that.
[01:42:29] Cause I,
[01:42:29] I really do want to do that because I did not like shadow generations when it
[01:42:33] came out.
[01:42:34] you didn't like it.
[01:42:35] So this is a revisit for me.
[01:42:36] I'm giving it another chance,
[01:42:37] you know?
[01:42:38] So,
[01:42:39] okay.
[01:42:39] Yeah.
[01:42:40] Anyway.
[01:42:42] But yeah.

[01:43:37] I don't know if you guys will listen to that show.
[01:43:38] Really,
[01:43:39] really good stuff.
[01:43:39] Oh yeah.
[01:43:40] I've talked to Nick before he's cool.
[01:43:42] Yeah.
[01:43:43] That's a good show.
[01:43:44] Literally everybody in our little crew here is like awesome.
[01:43:48] Like,
[01:43:48] I don't think I've had a bad experience with any of these guys,
[01:43:51] but,
[01:43:51] except Aaron.
[01:43:55] This is the hit point.
[01:43:56] We talk shit about the boss.
[01:43:57] I mean,
[01:43:58] God damn.
[01:43:59] I mean,
[01:44:00] please,
[01:44:00] that guy is his alter ego.
[01:44:03] Filthy Ron.
[01:44:05] Now that guy sucks.
[01:44:07] Now that guy sucks.
[01:44:11] But anyways,
[01:44:12] guys,
[01:44:12] once again,
[01:44:12] thank you for joining us and we will see you all later.
[01:44:15] See ya.
[01:44:16] Goodbye.
[01:44:21] I'm not playing on a 3DO system.
