[00:00:33] We are back! This is day two of the Anti-Game of the Year Awards. If you haven't checked out the day one Anti-Game of the Year Awards featuring Quest 64, Video Game Esoterica, Katrinks, and Mad Storm, just go listen to that. We'll patiently wait here and, well, you just consume a two hour podcast.

[00:00:53] Yeah.

[00:00:54] Right, Aaron? You got some time.

[00:00:56] Yeah, consume. Yes, I have time.

[00:00:58] Kidding. Let's get stupid and celebrate 2024 the only fucking way we know how. And that is with...

[00:01:09] Anti-Game of the Year!

[00:01:16] Alright, so if you're new to Super Ghost, this award show is not like the ones that you see Jeff Keighley hosting.

[00:01:22] We invite guests on to make their own awards. And then we make categories and we nominate something for each one.

[00:01:31] And then we debate the winner. So that's kind of the setup. But I'm not going to waste any more time.

[00:01:38] Let me introduce you to the absolute ridiculous roster of people that I have going up here.

[00:01:45] So, first of all, let me introduce this guest. Like a finely aged ranch dressing, injected straight into your veins.

[00:01:53] He orchestrated January 6th right outside of a Denny's. And he is the host of Super Pod Saga. Aaron!

[00:02:00] What up? You should have had a shotgun blast and like a Wilhelm scream at the end of the whole intro.

[00:02:07] Hi, I'm Aaron.

[00:02:09] What happened on January 6th, Aaron?

[00:02:11] Uh, 3 Kings Day in Puerto Rico.

[00:02:17] I didn't know you were such a fan of Puerto Rican.

[00:02:21] Splins those dudes wearing crowns.

[00:02:23] Next up, certified PlayStation fanboy and an absolute snake charmer of inappropriate YouTube content to bring up during a podcast.

[00:02:32] Knave.

[00:02:33] Hello, I was thinking about putting something Xbox related as my title and I was like, maybe not this time.

[00:02:37] And then Jerry went in for the kill.

[00:02:39] And now I'm fired.

[00:02:41] So thanks for that.

[00:02:42] I thought you switched sides.

[00:02:43] I was about to come assassinate you.

[00:02:45] Yeah.

[00:02:46] My hands are tied here, Thrak.

[00:02:48] He said I was PlayStation in the intro.

[00:02:50] So that's the character I play.

[00:02:52] I saw an article today that said, oh, Xbox is fucked because Outer Worlds 2 is coming to PlayStation 5.

[00:02:58] And I'm like, you people are fucking insane.

[00:03:01] Perfect.

[00:03:02] Our next guest has for sure considered cooking a Pikmin and enjoys a good old fashioned anime tit just as much as I do.

[00:03:10] Friend and host of a novel console, Chris.

[00:03:15] Jesus Christ.

[00:03:18] How did you read my innermost thoughts?

[00:03:21] What are you doing, Jerry?

[00:03:22] That was...

[00:03:23] Why would you eat a Pikmin?

[00:03:25] It's actually written on your screen.

[00:03:27] Why would you eat...

[00:03:28] They're too small.

[00:03:30] They're too fucking small.

[00:03:31] Yeah.

[00:03:31] It's like rice.

[00:03:32] So you would eat Pikmin like rice.

[00:03:34] If you want to eat like a thousand of something, you would eat a thousand of Pikmin.

[00:03:38] It's great saying just put them in your mouth and don't chew.

[00:03:41] You just swallow them.

[00:03:42] You just throw them all in one of those like M&M minis, like plastic containers.

[00:03:46] You don't even have to eat them.

[00:03:47] You just breathe.

[00:03:48] No, no, no.

[00:03:49] You just breathe by accident and they get sucked in.

[00:03:51] You suck on a Pikmin.

[00:03:52] Like a Werther's original.

[00:03:54] Just make sure you don't...

[00:03:55] Yeah, that's what you suck on.

[00:03:56] Just make sure you don't choke on it and it comes out of your nose because I can't picture little hands and a leaf and anything inside my nose just fucking fanning and wanting to sneeze.

[00:04:07] Oh, what if it's a rock Pikmin?

[00:04:08] That'll hurt.

[00:04:09] Oh, gross.

[00:04:11] That's a cowlstone.

[00:04:12] It's a cowlstone.

[00:04:12] Rock hard.

[00:04:13] Our next guest was the first person to ever begin to consider inviting my stupid ass onto another podcast.

[00:04:20] A collector of top shelf 3DO games and most likely to get the most ripped shit tonight, Bill.

[00:04:29] I'm drinking ginger ale right now.

[00:04:30] Um...

[00:04:31] Hi.

[00:04:32] It's about time he rips shit.

[00:04:33] Oh, wait.

[00:04:34] He's got a fucking leg up on us?

[00:04:35] We're gonna get stupider as this night goes on?

[00:04:37] He's gonna have all control.

[00:04:38] I have my gin here.

[00:04:40] There you go.

[00:04:41] Ginger ale.

[00:04:42] Attaboy.

[00:04:42] Just straight gin.

[00:04:43] Liquid death for backup.

[00:04:45] I called it bingo.

[00:04:47] Because Aaron wanted it.

[00:04:49] Yes.

[00:04:49] And then, uh...

[00:04:49] I got a mini fridge full of beer over there, so I'm good.

[00:04:52] Fuck you.

[00:04:53] Hell yeah.

[00:04:54] Uh, last but not least, but certainly the hairiest of the bunch, new addition to the game of the year family, and Super Ghost as well.

[00:05:02] Uh, THRAC.

[00:05:04] Me being hairiest, I think, is debatable.

[00:05:06] With the three guys with long hair chilling.

[00:05:10] I mean, do we have to take our shirts off?

[00:05:12] I was just gonna say, if we pop our tops off, that you are definitely the most Sam Squanch of the bunch.

[00:05:16] I look like a sweet chair.

[00:05:18] I will say, I've looked...

[00:05:18] I do like a good anime titty.

[00:05:20] To be fair, I am very hairy under this shirt.

[00:05:24] Show us.

[00:05:26] That...

[00:05:27] Maybe later.

[00:05:28] I'll put my mouth where my money is.

[00:05:30] That's for the Patreons only.

[00:05:32] Demonetized.

[00:05:32] Demonetized.

[00:05:33] Now that's the, uh, that's the formality he's taken care of.

[00:05:35] Let's get fucking unprofessional.

[00:05:37] But first, I think we have to, uh, to do a little in memoriam for somebody that's missing here.

[00:05:43] Uh, Mr. Dave Jackson.

[00:05:45] He contributed, but, uh, he is not here tonight.

[00:05:49] So, um, you know, why don't we all just take a moment to say a little, well, something about Dave Jackson.

[00:05:55] You know, our friend.

[00:05:56] He's, he's long gone now.

[00:05:58] Oh, seven in the chat.

[00:06:00] It was a shame that we saw like the camera footage of him getting assassinated in New York.

[00:06:05] You know, it was, that was horrible.

[00:06:06] Yeah, that was him.

[00:06:07] Wild that he was wearing a Batman costume the whole time.

[00:06:10] Damn.

[00:06:10] Buried in a tube.

[00:06:11] He was, he was, he was denying over 30% of people their healthcare coverage.

[00:06:15] You guys are going about this wrong.

[00:06:17] He was playing Persona 4.

[00:06:19] They found him hanging from a telephone pole.

[00:06:21] You guys are, you guys are focusing on the wrong thing.

[00:06:23] All right.

[00:06:24] Before he died.

[00:06:25] The last thing he was doing was liking one of my blue sky tweets.

[00:06:28] I don't know what they're called over there.

[00:06:29] The bleeds.

[00:06:30] Skeets.

[00:06:32] Yeah.

[00:06:33] You, you skeet all over that site.

[00:06:35] Yeah.

[00:06:35] Well, you know, Dave, Dave, may he, uh, may he rest.

[00:06:39] Um, wait, hold on.

[00:06:41] I inherit all of his fans, by the way.

[00:06:43] So they all come to me.

[00:06:44] That's a lot of fans.

[00:06:46] Are you guys hearing static?

[00:06:47] No.

[00:06:48] No.

[00:06:49] This is a bit.

[00:06:54] Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

[00:06:55] Guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, I'm not dead.

[00:07:00] I'm not.

[00:07:01] Am I?

[00:07:03] Am I?

[00:07:04] Hold on.

[00:07:05] Okay.

[00:07:05] So while I figure out what's going on here, here's my award for this year.

[00:07:10] It's the, well, that escalated quickly award.

[00:07:16] There you have it.

[00:07:17] Presented by Dave.

[00:07:18] I was expecting more.

[00:07:21] It's like, Dave, you're in a production.

[00:07:23] Just like, play along.

[00:07:24] God.

[00:07:25] Right.

[00:07:26] Dave, shut the fuck up.

[00:07:27] Um, alright.

[00:07:29] So because Dave is not here, I will, I will, you know, go through the nominations for his,

[00:07:36] his award that he's brought, which is, well, that escalated quickly.

[00:07:39] So, number one, we have Like a Dragon, Infinite Wealth by Chris.

[00:07:46] Teardown by Bill.

[00:07:49] Inscription by Nave.

[00:07:52] That sounds like a good, like, cologne or something.

[00:07:54] Inscription by Nave.

[00:07:56] Um, Animal Wealth by Aaron.

[00:07:58] Uh, Arzette, Jewel of Faramore.

[00:08:02] Jesus Christ.

[00:08:03] Thrac.

[00:08:04] Of course that's Thrac.

[00:08:06] And Mouthwashing by me, Jerry.

[00:08:09] Who?

[00:08:10] Um, yeah, but by me.

[00:08:13] What's Dave's nomination?

[00:08:14] What did he nominate before he died or not died?

[00:08:19] He just gave us the, the gift of an award.

[00:08:22] Then I'll say Metal Gear Solid.

[00:08:23] And then passed away in his sleep.

[00:08:25] Good pick, Dave.

[00:08:28] Um, so, uh, right off the bat, uh, Thrac, please defend whatever the fuck this Aritzia thing is.

[00:08:35] You don't know what Arzette is?

[00:08:36] No.

[00:08:37] Oh, God.

[00:08:38] Okay.

[00:08:38] So, Arzette, the Jewel of Faramore.

[00:08:41] Who doesn't know that?

[00:08:42] Yeah, exactly.

[00:08:44] Alright, alright, alright.

[00:08:45] Shut the fuck up, kids.

[00:08:46] So this game was developed by, uh, CDI Software and, uh, was published by Limited Run Games.

[00:08:53] It was their first original published game.

[00:08:55] And so the whole game is like, hey, what if we took those CDI Zelda games and made them not shit?

[00:09:02] And so the whole game-

[00:09:04] Is that possible?

[00:09:04] Yes.

[00:09:05] Because it's actually like, really stupidly fun.

[00:09:08] But why I said the boy that escalated quickly is because the cutscenes and the whole vibe of the game takes from how fucking crazy those games are with like the animations and the cutscenes and plays it all to a T, but twists it all to be like, funny and entertaining.

[00:09:24] And the game itself is actually really fun.

[00:09:27] Okay.

[00:09:28] So I highly, highly recommend it.

[00:09:31] How did it escalate?

[00:09:33] Can you guys see me?

[00:09:34] You gotta play it and find out.

[00:09:36] They got into an escalator and escalated.

[00:09:40] There is a time where you zipline.

[00:09:41] They got into an escalator and they just stood-

[00:09:44] So that's downwards escalating if they got onto a zipline.

[00:09:48] Yeah.

[00:09:48] I just realized that this award is inherently-

[00:09:51] It's gonna make us want to spoil the game that we're talking about.

[00:09:55] Yeah.

[00:09:56] I figured that, you know, because of Dave Jackson's show, he does the spoiler wall at the end.

[00:10:01] I figured we'd just fucking spoil everything up front.

[00:10:04] This is a spoiler game right now.

[00:10:06] This is a spoiler game right now.

[00:10:06] Come on in.

[00:10:07] Just do it like a GNC show and just be like, fuck it, spoilers everywhere.

[00:10:14] As soon as you hit play on Bill's show, it's just like a spoiler like-

[00:10:17] Well, he was dead in the end.

[00:10:19] I'll do an episode where I'll try not to spoil and then Alex will just drop a spoiler.

[00:10:23] I'm like, okay, spoilers people.

[00:10:24] Well, it's genuinely like Metal Gear Solid.

[00:10:26] I foreshadowed the spoiling when I spoiled the Dave bit coming in.

[00:10:30] Yeah.

[00:10:31] I didn't even know I was spoiling.

[00:10:32] So Nate, Kojima would be practical mantis now?

[00:10:35] Yeah.

[00:10:37] Put that controller in your ass and being vibrate.

[00:10:40] You guys said the same thing?

[00:10:44] Put it in your ass.

[00:10:45] Put it in your ass.

[00:10:47] I see you like playing the guy game.

[00:10:50] Be like one of those cheaters at like National Chess with the vibrating butt plugs or whatever.

[00:10:58] Take the memory cards.

[00:11:00] Motorboat your mother.

[00:11:02] Night to see three.

[00:11:04] Motherboat.

[00:11:07] Okay, sorry.

[00:11:10] So, Nave, inscription.

[00:11:13] You finally got to play it.

[00:11:14] I can vouch for that does escalate rather quickly.

[00:11:18] It is some shit.

[00:11:18] I beat it like a couple weeks ago and yeah, I can vouch for that too.

[00:11:22] It's definitely one of those.

[00:11:24] I think the primary one, I don't want to spoil a whole bunch, but the game changes a lot.

[00:11:29] But the primary, it escalates quickly is the first time you lose and you're already like, this is a bad place.

[00:11:36] I don't want to be here.

[00:11:37] Like this is not good.

[00:11:38] I don't want that guy to win.

[00:11:39] The guy across from you, his name is Leshy.

[00:11:42] Yeah.

[00:11:43] And then you lose and you look up from the table and then you just see him be like, oh, shame that.

[00:11:50] And he starts reaching for you and you're like, oh, that's awful.

[00:11:54] This is terrible.

[00:11:55] I hate it.

[00:11:56] But it's probably one of the best card game roguelikes I've played in a long time.

[00:12:01] Hell yeah.

[00:12:01] It's the only card game roguelike I've ever played because I usually can't stand those, but this, it puts a really good twist on it.

[00:12:08] Yeah.

[00:12:09] I like the fact that like when you realize that you can just get up from that table and just like walk around that cabin, that was pretty mind blowing.

[00:12:18] He's just fucking stuck there the whole time.

[00:12:21] Yeah.

[00:12:21] Yeah.

[00:12:22] Until you, until you like accidentally nudge like your dog wants a pet and it brings its nose up and it nudges the right analog stick and it makes you leave and you're just like, oh, damn it.

[00:12:31] I was in the zone and I've got to get back down.

[00:12:36] Yep.

[00:12:39] Bill, I've played teardown.

[00:12:42] Like what, what puts that in the escalation category?

[00:12:46] So I bought the game just cause I had no idea what it was and it looked interesting and I was not expecting, I thought it was just going to be a dumb game where you break shit.

[00:12:54] And then all of a sudden we have like heists going on and like, we're doing like criminal shit.

[00:12:58] And I'm like, what the fuck am I playing?

[00:13:00] Like we're breaking into businesses, destroying security, escaping from the police, stealing cars at one point.

[00:13:06] I was like, what the fuck is this game?

[00:13:07] I thought I was just breaking shit.

[00:13:08] They'll throw like some weird shit on you too.

[00:13:09] They'll be like, you have to escape this building, but don't get the briefcase wet from the rain.

[00:13:13] It's like, I'm like, what?

[00:13:16] I'm like, I thought this was just stupid break shit game.

[00:13:18] Not this like deep fucking lore storyline.

[00:13:20] Teardown is crazy.

[00:13:21] Don't spill the gravy.

[00:13:23] Fucking rob this bank.

[00:13:23] It's fun.

[00:13:24] Don't spill the gravy.

[00:13:26] Especially when like,

[00:13:27] Goes from like Payday to Neon Genesis.

[00:13:30] It reminds me of that Yakuza sub story where you got to deliver the ramen, but it's all icy.

[00:13:35] So you're like walking and there's like fucking people ice skating around you and you're like, oh God, I can't touch anyone and I can't run.

[00:13:42] Oh, there's just like great things.

[00:13:44] Like we're like you like you forget to like you forget that you can break things easily.

[00:13:48] So like you got to steal these two cars and you accidentally drive the car on a ramp and it gets stuck and then it breaks the ramp and you're like, fuck.

[00:13:57] And then you have to just start over.

[00:13:59] Yeah, it's ridiculous.

[00:14:01] It's on.

[00:14:01] I think it's on PlayStation extra now.

[00:14:05] It has been for a bit.

[00:14:06] Hmm.

[00:14:07] All I know is like I went into that expecting dumb Minecraft shit and I got like this deep storyline about fucking theft and heisting and shit.

[00:14:14] I was like, what?

[00:14:15] Yeah, it's it's a pretty wild ride.

[00:14:18] Uh, someone mentioned like a dragon name for sure.

[00:14:22] Who am I kidding?

[00:14:24] That was me.

[00:14:24] I mean, Chris.

[00:14:27] Yes, but no, I just automatically assume that.

[00:14:30] Yeah, it's like a dragon circle here.

[00:14:33] Okay.

[00:14:33] Yeah, right.

[00:14:34] We're just not played it.

[00:14:36] It'll be complete.

[00:14:37] Oh, it's really good.

[00:14:38] Oh, yeah, I've heard dude.

[00:14:41] I'm going to spoiler like the first time it ramps up.

[00:14:44] Q has cancer like that is the first time it ramps up.

[00:14:47] And then after that, it just keeps going up and up and up and up like how is it going to get fucking crazy?

[00:14:54] And it just keeps getting crazy and crazier.

[00:14:57] Your cancer.

[00:14:59] To be fair though, don't they say he has cancer in the trailers?

[00:15:03] No, they don't.

[00:15:04] And then they got spoiled for me on Twitter.

[00:15:07] Yeah.

[00:15:08] Okay.

[00:15:08] Yeah.

[00:15:09] I was just about to get to that part.

[00:15:12] So it made me so fucking mad.

[00:15:14] It's all those cheap Japanese smokes.

[00:15:17] It is.

[00:15:17] And that's the thing.

[00:15:18] He's been smoking his entire life and that's not how he got cancer.

[00:15:21] It's not, no.

[00:15:22] Of course.

[00:15:23] He had to do it in some heroic way.

[00:15:25] Yeah.

[00:15:27] It's the stress of all those like love hotlines he's done over the years.

[00:15:30] All the karaoke.

[00:15:32] The majumah.

[00:15:34] The camp soda.

[00:15:34] The camp soda single button.

[00:15:38] Ooh, okay.

[00:15:39] He got botulism.

[00:15:40] And he's typing like an old man.

[00:15:41] He actually got a touch of consumption.

[00:15:43] He was actually what happened was he was saving a little girl from an atomic bomb and he shielded the whole bomb with his back.

[00:15:51] So what?

[00:15:52] So was she selling her underwear and he had to stop her or?

[00:15:57] No.

[00:15:58] They learned how to accept people at the end of the.

[00:16:01] That's how the girls at the orphanage.

[00:16:03] Yeah.

[00:16:03] The bomb gave him power.

[00:16:04] So now every time the dragon just catches on fire whenever he fights, it's really cool.

[00:16:09] Aaron, you have animal well here.

[00:16:11] I also play animal well and that game's no, I don't think that game's supposed to be scary.

[00:16:17] No.

[00:16:18] And what it does, you're like, you're like, huh?

[00:16:20] Double, huh?

[00:16:22] Like the first.

[00:16:24] So like right off the bat, the game just kind of just like bloops you right in.

[00:16:28] And you're kind of like, huh?

[00:16:29] Okay.

[00:16:30] I guess I'll go right.

[00:16:31] And then you go right.

[00:16:31] And then there's a fucking giant ostrich stork thing.

[00:16:35] And you're like, no, that's that's gross.

[00:16:39] And then there was that time.

[00:16:40] I fucking hate that.

[00:16:41] The sound it makes too is terrible.

[00:16:43] And then you, there was that one time.

[00:16:45] I forgot exactly what area, but I tried to go like, I think it's before you get the frisbee.

[00:16:51] Uh, there I was like underneath a platform and the there's just, there's this dog like

[00:16:56] right above running back and forth and he can like stretch his body in there and like chase

[00:17:01] after you.

[00:17:01] And that was terrifying.

[00:17:02] I was like, I paused it and I just bucket.

[00:17:05] I stopped for a minute to process what the hell I just saw my little.

[00:17:09] Yeah.

[00:17:09] Stretchy dogs are creepy.

[00:17:11] Have you seen a real life stretchy dog?

[00:17:12] Wiener dogs.

[00:17:13] Yeah.

[00:17:14] Every day at work, they chase me.

[00:17:17] Like I think when I get into my mail truck, I think I'm away, but they like stretch

[00:17:21] around the truck and like go into the window.

[00:17:24] They're like those like giant Furbies that people make now.

[00:17:27] Long Furbies.

[00:17:28] Long Furbies.

[00:17:29] Yeah, long Furbies.

[00:17:30] You see that dog is licking your window and then hitting the other one with the tail.

[00:17:33] It's great.

[00:17:35] It's terrific.

[00:17:35] I know people who make long Furbies.

[00:17:38] Gross.

[00:17:38] You gotta tell them stop.

[00:17:39] Satan, Lucifer, Beelzebub, is that who you know?

[00:17:43] Jeff Bezos.

[00:17:44] Not only, stop Furby.

[00:17:46] Furbies.

[00:17:47] Stop making long Furbies.

[00:17:48] Not only do they not shut up, but they're also long as fuck.

[00:17:52] They're a long.

[00:17:53] Long boys.

[00:17:54] Every little.

[00:17:55] You talk about escalating quickly along Furby escalates.

[00:17:58] Every fucking voice line repeats itself like 17 times in a row.

[00:18:01] They're like, ooh, play with me.

[00:18:03] And then it keeps repeating that 17 more times.

[00:18:06] It's echoing down its long body.

[00:18:08] You can hear it.

[00:18:10] Getting away the Doppler effect is happening.

[00:18:12] It's an echo chamber of a gut.

[00:18:14] It swallows your fucking remote and you can see the outline of your remote going down the

[00:18:18] Furby's stomach.

[00:18:20] Like it's an anaconda.

[00:18:23] Furbaconda.

[00:18:24] You're just sitting there and all of a sudden you just see.

[00:18:26] That's where my fucking TV remote went.

[00:18:28] The Furby ate it.

[00:18:29] Furby.

[00:18:29] Oh my God.

[00:18:31] Aaron, I want a motion that we take all of anything that we earn from Superpod and like,

[00:18:38] just use that to fund a movie called Furby condo.

[00:18:41] We should.

[00:18:43] My first person to die.

[00:18:44] The first person to die.

[00:18:46] Furby condo.

[00:18:47] Blood jewels or whatever.

[00:18:48] Blood diamond.

[00:18:49] Like the actual sequence.

[00:18:51] Furby condo.

[00:18:52] The jewel of Farivore.

[00:18:55] It's made by the CDI company.

[00:18:57] Rise of the Scorpion gang.

[00:18:59] The only song that plays.

[00:19:00] Rise of Dwayne Johnson.

[00:19:02] The only song that plays is Rattlesnake Shake by Skid Row.

[00:19:05] Oh no.

[00:19:06] Furby condo.

[00:19:07] We resurrect Dave Jackson, but oops.

[00:19:10] He's a fucking cursed mummy pharaoh now.

[00:19:13] Now we all have AIDS.

[00:19:14] What care you?

[00:19:15] Spoilers.

[00:19:16] My Furby condo.

[00:19:18] This is just becoming.

[00:19:19] There's just a long Furby.

[00:19:20] It's curling around his arm.

[00:19:22] He's just holding it as he talks to you.

[00:19:24] This is just the bossing fucking Elden Ring.

[00:19:26] I'm dead with these motherfucking Furby condos on this motherfucking plane.

[00:19:29] This is just becoming a Chuck Tingle book.

[00:19:31] We're just writing a Chuck Tingle book right now.

[00:19:33] Oh God.

[00:19:33] Anyways, I put mouth washing.

[00:19:37] I don't know if any of you guys played mouth washing or not.

[00:19:39] This just recently come out.

[00:19:41] Oh my God.

[00:19:42] I've heard the entire story and it's fucking crazy.

[00:19:45] I haven't.

[00:19:46] You need to play it.

[00:19:46] It's like, it's so good because the presentation is amazing.

[00:19:49] But was this like, did this come out like a week ago?

[00:19:51] Like a month ago, I guess.

[00:19:53] Like a month ago.

[00:19:53] Okay.

[00:19:54] Very under the radar.

[00:19:55] It was very under the radar.

[00:19:56] It was funny because IGN just now like today posted a review for it.

[00:20:01] I bet you they were like, somebody was in their boardroom being like, what the fuck?

[00:20:05] This, this game is blowing up on, on the internet and you guys aren't covering it.

[00:20:09] Like, like, yeah.

[00:20:11] Yeah.

[00:20:11] It's blowing up on TikTok.

[00:20:12] We're the international gaming network.

[00:20:14] God damn it.

[00:20:15] Is that what I've seen it?

[00:20:16] That's weird.

[00:20:17] I believe so.

[00:20:18] Yeah.

[00:20:19] Intergalactic.

[00:20:20] I don't know.

[00:20:20] I don't know.

[00:20:21] Gooey nerds.

[00:20:22] Planetary.

[00:20:23] Planetary.

[00:20:24] What's the old saying of IGN?

[00:20:25] IGN gave it a nine if you're curious.

[00:20:26] You can't spell ignorant without IGN or something.

[00:20:28] Oh.

[00:20:29] You also, you can't spell exhausting without Austin, which is my first name.

[00:20:34] Nobody would know that.

[00:20:35] This is the first time I revealed that information.

[00:20:36] I would.

[00:20:37] Because we're friends on Facebook.

[00:20:39] I'm friends of the house team.

[00:20:41] Fucking old ass.

[00:20:42] And Jerry.

[00:20:43] Yeah, just leave Aaron out of it.

[00:20:45] Bill.

[00:20:45] That's fair.

[00:20:47] Bill, I'm sorry.

[00:20:48] I left you out of Emerald.

[00:20:49] I'm really sorry.

[00:20:49] I didn't mean to.

[00:20:50] It's okay.

[00:20:51] I'm not, I'm not that upset.

[00:20:52] Anyway, mouth washing is fucked.

[00:20:56] It is what I would literally consider the definition of it escalates real quick.

[00:21:01] Okay.

[00:21:02] I just looked it up.

[00:21:03] It throws you in there.

[00:21:03] What the fuck am I looking at?

[00:21:04] It throws you in there and it's like, oh, this is scary already within 30 seconds.

[00:21:10] And then the story just keeps getting more and more fucked up.

[00:21:14] And it's kind of presented like a fucking Tarantino movie.

[00:21:17] Like, yeah, I was going to say, this is technically cheating because it's constantly

[00:21:21] changing between like times.

[00:21:24] You know what this escalating quickly because it's literally jumping right into the bad

[00:21:27] thing.

[00:21:30] And then they look at the camera and they go, I bet you're wondering how we got here.

[00:21:33] And then it transitions back to the past Samurai Jack style.

[00:21:36] You know what this game looks like?

[00:21:38] It looks kind of like Ill Bleed.

[00:21:40] I'm not going to lie.

[00:21:41] Yeah.

[00:21:41] It is the retro aesthetic PS one kind of thing.

[00:21:44] Yeah.

[00:21:44] My favorite.

[00:21:45] This looks more dream cast than PS one.

[00:21:47] That's why I think it's a little more grimy than like a dream cast game.

[00:21:52] I would say it's like somewhere between you.

[00:21:53] Have you played Ill Bleed?

[00:21:54] You got to play Ill Bleed.

[00:21:55] That game is great.

[00:21:56] Yeah.

[00:21:57] This game screams Ill Bleed.

[00:21:58] They look a lot nicer than like PS one models, you know?

[00:22:02] Yeah.

[00:22:03] The voice acting is really good too.

[00:22:05] But like the shit that happens in this game, there was, I think like at least two,

[00:22:12] maybe three times that I just set my controller down because I was like, I, I gotta take a

[00:22:17] second.

[00:22:17] Like this is a lot.

[00:22:19] Like it is a heavy fucking game and it makes you do things against your will that are fucking

[00:22:26] insane.

[00:22:28] Help.

[00:22:28] I'll buy it.

[00:22:30] Please buy it.

[00:22:31] It's only like 13 bucks.

[00:22:33] Yeah.

[00:22:33] It's, it's not.

[00:22:34] And it's two hours long.

[00:22:35] It's like, it's beautiful.

[00:22:36] It's like the best of all worlds.

[00:22:38] Like, can we all agree that I sat down and I was like, I'm just going to play this for

[00:22:42] a little bit just to see if my PC can run it.

[00:22:44] And then two hours later I finished it.

[00:22:46] And I was like, Oh my God, this is the best thing ever.

[00:22:49] And then also my PC did crash at some point.

[00:22:51] So Jerry for you for it's the part where the eyeballs are in the hallway and there's

[00:22:56] just more and more.

[00:22:57] And then my PC was like, all right, I'm running at two frames a second dog.

[00:23:01] That's such a good spot for it to crash.

[00:23:03] You probably thought that the game, it was like part of the game.

[00:23:06] I thought it was the game.

[00:23:06] I was like, is this real?

[00:23:08] Oh, it's going on.

[00:23:09] That's like, have you, is anything real?

[00:23:11] Have any of you guys ever played a pony Island?

[00:23:14] The first, the game that came before inscription by the same dude, but I've heard about it.

[00:23:19] I made that cause I'm a Sony fan.

[00:23:21] There's a, there's a point in that game.

[00:23:23] I don't even think that game is on PlayStation.

[00:23:26] I think it's only PC.

[00:23:28] Oh, the only one that the Sony pony thing.

[00:23:31] It's okay.

[00:23:32] It is.

[00:23:32] I got it.

[00:23:33] I got it.

[00:23:34] So yeah.

[00:23:35] Like that game also has like a moment that literally crashes your computer, but then like

[00:23:42] chat, start opening up in like steam and people from like your friends list.

[00:23:47] We'll start talking to you.

[00:23:49] It's some crazy language that the game, like it's so crazy, but I love it because me and

[00:23:54] that's our same spot with like our games.

[00:23:57] Cause our games are very similar.

[00:23:58] Like, like the, the atmosphere, both games are just impressive and dire.

[00:24:04] Yeah.

[00:24:05] Horrifying.

[00:24:05] I would like, I mean, is there, is there someone that thinks that their game stands

[00:24:12] above, uh, inscription of mouthwashing?

[00:24:16] Yeah.

[00:24:16] Me, me, me, I mean, dude, a hundred, a hundred plus hours of just ramping up nonstop.

[00:24:26] Like every single chapter and something fucking huge happens.

[00:24:31] I would argue that that is ramping up slowly.

[00:24:35] Like I would, that's, that's ramping up at a consistent base.

[00:24:38] And to be fair, I don't think infinite wealth has a really good ending.

[00:24:43] It does not.

[00:24:44] I think the endings kind of shit.

[00:24:46] Like Kiru's ending is okay, but Ichiban's I hated.

[00:24:50] I hated his ending.

[00:24:50] But this is about the ramping and the process of the ramping up.

[00:24:53] True, true, true.

[00:24:55] I voluntarily take mine out of the running because as weird as it was, it's not that.

[00:24:58] In one of the chapter endings, you just finished the fight with Macheta.

[00:25:02] Like you fucking fight Danny Trejo and that's the end of the chapter.

[00:25:05] And you're like, what the fuck happens next?

[00:25:08] No, you gotta go to the other place.

[00:25:09] And when you fight his random goons, it has the best fucking OST for a fight scene in the JRPG ever.

[00:25:16] Oh my God.

[00:25:17] Like, yeah, I'm just like, what is this?

[00:25:20] I'm gooding, dude.

[00:25:21] I'm like, this is crazy.

[00:25:24] Okay.

[00:25:24] So inscription, I would say the whole thing is that you, you don't have any context.

[00:25:29] You just dropped in this world.

[00:25:30] It's like this guy is like, Hey, play this game and you're play this card game.

[00:25:35] And you're like, okay, this is scary.

[00:25:36] And then you play the card game and then he murders you and you have no context for that.

[00:25:40] And because it's a roguelike, you're going to fuck it up.

[00:25:43] Like you're just going to die.

[00:25:44] Cause you don't understand what the rules even are.

[00:25:46] You're still trying to learn.

[00:25:47] It's like the tutorial.

[00:25:47] And so the, the idea that you get killed and then turned into a card and then you go back and then a new person takes that person's place.

[00:25:57] It's like, it all happens in the span of like 10 minutes.

[00:26:00] And like, you really realize like, Oh, this is like a cryptid.

[00:26:05] Like I'm like in the middle of a creepypasta right now.

[00:26:07] Though I would argue inscription doesn't escalate super quickly until you finish that section with lychee.

[00:26:14] Well, I would say that the death is the first death is like a crazy escalation.

[00:26:19] And then like it kind of tapers off until you beat the game and get to the second chapter.

[00:26:24] And then it's like, boom again.

[00:26:26] Like it has spikes over and over again.

[00:26:27] And then at that point I'm going, what the fuck is happening?

[00:26:31] Yeah.

[00:26:32] And it's great.

[00:26:33] So mouthwashing is a good one though, too.

[00:26:35] Yeah.

[00:26:36] Uh, if I would concede to mouthwashing, you would concede to mouthwashing.

[00:26:42] Oh yeah.

[00:26:43] I'd concede to inscription.

[00:26:45] I will not concede.

[00:26:46] I haven't played mouthwash.

[00:26:47] I haven't played mouthwash.

[00:26:48] Animal.

[00:26:49] Well, that's fine.

[00:26:49] Aaron, you don't have to concede because animal well has plenty of points where you think like, dude, this game can't be scary.

[00:26:56] Like it's just, it's just the little cute platformer and then the stretchy dogs, the weird ostriches that chase you all over the place.

[00:27:03] The long Furby.

[00:27:05] The fucking ghosts at the end.

[00:27:07] That part I couldn't do for a little bit.

[00:27:09] Cause I was like, okay, well I need to collect myself and clean my fucking pants before I go back in there and try that again.

[00:27:16] Um, yeah, that's that, that was pretty insane.

[00:27:19] Yeah.

[00:27:19] Can't believe you're fighting against a roguelike card game.

[00:27:22] I know it's against my better fucking judgment, but man, animal well.

[00:27:25] I know it is.

[00:27:26] It is kind of weird, you know, cause I like this though.

[00:27:30] We're like, we're like, every time I see a game with cards, I go, Oh, this is for you.

[00:27:34] Every time now.

[00:27:36] The side note, wild frost came to Xbox.

[00:27:38] Everybody needs to play wild frost.

[00:27:39] Go play wild frost.

[00:27:40] It's my favorite.

[00:27:41] The fuck is a wild.

[00:27:42] It's good.

[00:27:43] It's a roguelike card game.

[00:27:44] Probably.

[00:27:44] Yeah.

[00:27:45] I could pass.

[00:27:46] Ew.

[00:27:47] I like how we're doing a process of elimination kind of thing.

[00:27:50] This is cause I'm over here.

[00:27:51] I think that's the way to go.

[00:27:53] Little screen here.

[00:27:54] Yep.

[00:27:55] This is, this is the way.

[00:27:56] Um, Bill.

[00:27:58] I already, I already took it out.

[00:28:00] It's not winning either of these.

[00:28:03] Okay.

[00:28:04] So tear down.

[00:28:05] What do you think?

[00:28:06] Do you have any ideas?

[00:28:08] Which one would you go for?

[00:28:10] Um, mouthwashing has, uh, shelly Duvall in it.

[00:28:13] I haven't played any of them.

[00:28:14] I haven't played any of them.

[00:28:14] And the one that I don't know.

[00:28:16] I'll go.

[00:28:17] Mouthwashing just cause those images are what?

[00:28:20] Hmm.

[00:28:21] He said mouthwashing.

[00:28:23] I'm going for inscription cause it's the one I've played.

[00:28:28] I, if, if, if, if all else, if everyone turns against me, I will.

[00:28:33] I'll put it in the description.

[00:28:35] Because mouthwashing is that good.

[00:28:38] Well, I need to put mouthwashing now.

[00:28:40] God damn it.

[00:28:40] I don't want to say this cause it's going to undercut me, but I was going to put mouthwashing, but Jerry already put mouthwashing here.

[00:28:45] And so I was like, okay, well I guess I'm going to pick a different thing.

[00:28:48] But, but to my point, I immediately thought of, I immediately was like, oh, well, inscription's the next logical choice.

[00:28:56] If my pick gets taken out, I fucking quit.

[00:28:59] Fucking.

[00:29:01] A quickie podcast.

[00:29:03] I'm going to go with Dave.

[00:29:05] Is it great if you go to the Dave dimension?

[00:29:09] Dave just pulls out his cardboard box and just goes over and says, hey guys, I'm Aaron in the Dave dimension.

[00:29:17] He just snakes his way out with a box.

[00:29:20] He's in his Dave hole playing animal well with his long furries.

[00:29:23] Dave girl fan cast, Dave hole.

[00:29:26] He's going on for you.

[00:29:28] Let's pour one out for Dave.

[00:29:30] Let's pour some mouthwash out for Dave.

[00:29:34] So shit.

[00:29:35] Yeah. What's the consensus on this one?

[00:29:37] This is tough.

[00:29:40] I think animal wells getting knocked out for sure.

[00:29:42] I think everyone's either going to inscription or mouthwashing.

[00:29:45] Yeah. Throw it in the fire. Throw it in the Dave hole.

[00:29:47] So I think if you, if you vote inscription, then I've got a fighting chance.

[00:29:51] Aaron.

[00:29:52] I will vote inscription.

[00:29:53] I haven't played mouthwashing and I, I just bought it.

[00:29:56] So I'm, I'll play it this week after I beat Dino Crisis.

[00:29:59] I'd be down to crisis first and then mouthwashing in that order.

[00:30:03] Um, but I have played inscription and gotten pretty close to the end.

[00:30:06] Dino crisis is good.

[00:30:08] Um, yeah.

[00:30:09] Inscription is my vote.

[00:30:10] Dude.

[00:30:11] Okay. So it's three.

[00:30:12] It makes me angrier that Dave is not here.

[00:30:15] Well, Bill, inscription or mouthwashing?

[00:30:16] I said mouthwashing.

[00:30:17] He said mouthwashing.

[00:30:18] Okay. Okay.

[00:30:19] So Jerry, Chris and Bill versus Ron, Knave and Thrak.

[00:30:23] I just read Ron.

[00:30:24] I know your name.

[00:30:25] I don't know what I want to say.

[00:30:27] There is Ron in this name.

[00:30:28] It's technically not Ron.

[00:30:30] Um, what are we going to do in this situation?

[00:30:36] Do we fill the coin?

[00:30:37] Think about this for a second.

[00:30:39] You said yourself that you put mouthwashing first.

[00:30:42] And I know that you said that you were going to undercut yourself.

[00:30:44] And you did.

[00:30:47] And not a good tactic.

[00:30:48] If you think about both of these games, I've also played both of these games.

[00:30:54] Mouthwashing escalates in a way that I haven't played a game that escalates the way that it does in a while.

[00:31:00] Like even past inscription.

[00:31:02] Like I loved inscription.

[00:31:03] I really did.

[00:31:04] And it does have some fucking crazy moments.

[00:31:07] But I think given this, the shorter playtime of mouthwashing and just how much fucked up stuff happens in that short amount of time, it is just constantly escalating.

[00:31:18] Like the entire story is just a constant escalation of like absolute fucking dread.

[00:31:23] That's fair.

[00:31:25] I, the hill I will die on is that mouthwashing has a non-linear, a non-linear story.

[00:31:31] And so you begin in the middle.

[00:31:34] And then the next part is at the beginning.

[00:31:36] And then the next part is towards the end.

[00:31:38] And then the next part is somewhere in like the first third.

[00:31:41] And it's like, you, you're always time jumping around.

[00:31:45] Uh, so that makes it, it's cheating.

[00:31:48] I'm saying you're cheating.

[00:31:50] You cheated.

[00:31:52] You should feel bad.

[00:31:53] You were going to pick it too.

[00:31:55] Yeah.

[00:31:55] Well, now that I've been thinking about reasons that it's wrong.

[00:31:59] He's got to be the defense attorney.

[00:32:01] All right.

[00:32:03] So what are we really bad at it?

[00:32:04] Jerry, you swayed me.

[00:32:05] No.

[00:32:07] That's why he's a mailman.

[00:32:09] Mouthwashing.

[00:32:09] Mouthwashing.

[00:32:10] All right.

[00:32:12] Mouthwashing.

[00:32:13] That's fine.

[00:32:13] Are we all in on mouthwashing?

[00:32:15] That's fine.

[00:32:15] Yeah.

[00:32:16] I'll play it.

[00:32:17] Hell yeah.

[00:32:18] You should.

[00:32:19] Yes.

[00:32:19] Everyone should play inscription and mouthwashing.

[00:32:22] Both of those games are very good.

[00:32:24] Hell of a fight.

[00:32:24] Nave.

[00:32:25] Hell of a fight.

[00:32:27] Um, all right.

[00:32:28] So the winner of, well, that escalated quickly presented by Dave Jackson, uh, RP,

[00:32:33] and I am the winner.

[00:32:35] I've finally won something.

[00:32:36] I finally can take something home.

[00:32:39] I can hold the award.

[00:32:40] Here we go.

[00:32:43] No, stop.

[00:32:45] If you listen to the, uh, to day one, you'll be able to get it.

[00:32:48] You'll, you'll hear that it is not rigged.

[00:32:50] I didn't win a goddamn.

[00:32:52] Well, no, I shouldn't say that.

[00:32:53] It's spoilers.

[00:32:54] Um, but.

[00:32:55] Oh, we just said we don't do shit about spoilers, dude.

[00:33:01] All right.

[00:33:01] Well, let's, uh, let's kick it into the next award, which is Chris's award.

[00:33:07] Chris, please present us your award.

[00:33:11] So now we have.

[00:33:13] Where's the rest of you.

[00:33:15] Where's the rest of you.

[00:33:16] I love, I love how you said that.

[00:33:20] It's a family.

[00:33:21] I know.

[00:33:22] I know.

[00:33:25] So, uh, Chris, why don't you, uh, why don't you go through the nominations here?

[00:33:29] For the nominations.

[00:33:31] We have Mario and Luigi brothership by bill.

[00:33:35] Trepang two by name persona three reload by Aaron.

[00:33:40] Sega bass fishing by threat.

[00:33:43] Yeah.

[00:33:44] UFO 50 by Jerry space Marine two by me.

[00:33:50] Okay.

[00:33:51] Um, once again, you want to explain, you want to defend.

[00:33:55] I don't care about what track says.

[00:33:57] I want to hear what Aaron has to say because persona three reload is like 200 hours long.

[00:34:03] And he says, where's the rest of you?

[00:34:05] Well, it's missing half the game.

[00:34:07] Persona three is the, is the, is the shortest of all the personas.

[00:34:10] I don't know.

[00:34:11] I don't buy a lot.

[00:34:14] I'm almost positive.

[00:34:15] It is out of the three, four and five.

[00:34:17] Yes.

[00:34:17] It's like five is like 130 hours.

[00:34:21] And then, but persona three is like 40 hours, but you are right.

[00:34:25] This is the longest game by far in this list.

[00:34:27] That is really long.

[00:34:29] It's longer than every other.

[00:34:31] I'm sorry.

[00:34:36] I'm going to be waiting a while.

[00:34:38] It's a, well, honestly, I didn't fucking have anything to add to this category.

[00:34:43] Like I racked my brain for fucking forever.

[00:34:45] And I just couldn't think of something that really fit in this.

[00:34:48] And then I was like, okay, persona three reload, because it's not, it didn't have the ship from persona three FES or persona three portable.

[00:34:56] Like it wasn't like, it's supposed to be the definitive version of persona three, but it's not at the same time.

[00:35:03] Cause it's missing a bunch of shit.

[00:35:04] It's the definitive version of persona three, not persona three FES.

[00:35:07] No, I don't want that.

[00:35:08] Damn it.

[00:35:09] That'll happen a year later.

[00:35:10] Persona three portable.

[00:35:12] Fucking assholes.

[00:35:13] That's a good interpretation of this actually.

[00:35:15] And cause I interpreted it as I wanted to play more of the game.

[00:35:18] Yeah.

[00:35:19] I, you'll be glad to hear.

[00:35:20] I got like halfway through it.

[00:35:22] That's what I meant.

[00:35:22] I got halfway through and then I stopped.

[00:35:24] Cause like, this is a lot.

[00:35:26] See persona three is the one that I'm like the least fond of, of like the, the, the re basically since three series of persona.

[00:35:34] Not because I don't like it just cause I think it's like, there's a lot of hardcore three fans.

[00:35:40] They'll be mad, but I think I just find it dull kind of like, like the gameplay.

[00:35:44] No, the gameplay is fine.

[00:35:45] It's more the, I find the story is fine.

[00:35:49] I just don't love, I like the sunshine and rainbows plot from four.

[00:35:53] Like that's really, I was going to say, I was going to say like the most serious one.

[00:35:56] You don't like putting a gun to your head to summon your persona.

[00:35:59] That's another thing.

[00:36:00] I like crushing a card.

[00:36:01] That's another thing.

[00:36:03] I, all right.

[00:36:04] Go, go ahead.

[00:36:06] Go ahead.

[00:36:06] No, no, no, no.

[00:36:07] I'm just kidding.

[00:36:08] Okay.

[00:36:08] So you're the defense.

[00:36:09] All right.

[00:36:10] Hold it.

[00:36:10] No, I will.

[00:36:14] No, you, no, you hang up.

[00:36:17] No, you hang up.

[00:36:18] No, you hang up.

[00:36:20] God, just, just fuck already.

[00:36:24] I've tried persona three, four and five multiple times.

[00:36:28] I've bitched about it all the time.

[00:36:29] I don't care for the combat and persona because it just, it, I don't know.

[00:36:34] I played the, I played persona three reload on hard and there wasn't a lot of challenge

[00:36:38] to it.

[00:36:39] It just felt like, like, dude, Augie, Augie, like knock the enemy down.

[00:36:43] Just fucking team attack.

[00:36:44] And like, they just didn't feel like there was a lot to the combat.

[00:36:47] I don't know, man.

[00:36:48] I'm just not a fan.

[00:36:49] Maybe I just don't.

[00:36:50] Maybe I hate persona.

[00:36:51] I don't know.

[00:36:53] I think it's.

[00:36:54] I think it's.

[00:36:56] The press turn system from persona is, is super easy.

[00:36:59] It makes the game.

[00:37:01] Insanely easy to play, but I do agree with bill.

[00:37:04] It does have a weird story, not story, a weird.

[00:37:08] I don't even want to say pacing.

[00:37:09] It's the structure of the game itself is odd.

[00:37:12] Yeah.

[00:37:12] Yeah.

[00:37:13] I find Tartarus boring.

[00:37:15] That's.

[00:37:15] Yeah.

[00:37:15] Cause it's like, go through Tartarus and wait for the next.

[00:37:18] Yeah.

[00:37:18] And then you go through and explore as much as you can stop.

[00:37:21] And then you wait until the characters are like, like, it's my spider sense is saying

[00:37:26] that you can go further now.

[00:37:27] And then, then you do.

[00:37:28] And then you repeat that.

[00:37:30] That shit is kind of, kind of annoying too.

[00:37:32] Weird.

[00:37:32] Yeah.

[00:37:33] I don't know if I could go to that after playing metaphor, honestly, because of.

[00:37:36] Well, no, it's very hard for players.

[00:37:38] Probably not.

[00:37:39] If I wasn't for the fact that.

[00:37:40] Probably not.

[00:37:40] I love four.

[00:37:42] Four's dungeons are pathetic compared to like P5 and metaphor.

[00:37:46] So.

[00:37:46] Yeah, dude.

[00:37:46] I was like, when I played five, I was like, I have no fucking clue how I'm going to go

[00:37:50] back and play for it.

[00:37:51] And now I'm playing metaphor.

[00:37:52] And I'm like, I really have no clue.

[00:37:53] I'm going to play.

[00:37:54] The dungeons are really good at metaphor.

[00:37:56] See, cause you play forward.

[00:37:57] You just go to like Kanji's dungeon and just go like that with the like music.

[00:38:01] I've been talking to music the whole time.

[00:38:02] Yeah.

[00:38:03] Well, to be fair.

[00:38:03] That's when we first joined up in this fucking.

[00:38:06] To be fair.

[00:38:07] Yeah.

[00:38:08] To be fair.

[00:38:08] They're like, they're procedurally generated.

[00:38:10] So I don't think they were meant to have this like really crazy design.

[00:38:13] It's true.

[00:38:13] It's just more of like, you know, it just feels like a typical dungeon crawler.

[00:38:17] Whereas I think five and probably metaphor, like they treat the dungeons more like well

[00:38:22] designed, like locations with like shit.

[00:38:24] So Aaron.

[00:38:25] Cause in Persona four, you just go in there and grind basically.

[00:38:28] The way that you, you interpreted this category was kind of like, where's the, like, instead

[00:38:33] of like leaving a game that you want to play more of, you were more like, where the fuck

[00:38:39] is the rest of this game?

[00:38:40] Like it was, it felt hollow to you.

[00:38:43] Yeah.

[00:38:43] It was supposed to be, I get, I understand what Bill's saying, but I was hoping this would

[00:38:48] be like the very best, like the number one way to play Persona three, like with everything,

[00:38:55] but it was not.

[00:38:57] See the problem with three is once you buy all the DLC.

[00:39:00] I'm not doing that.

[00:39:01] That's how they get you.

[00:39:01] Don't like that.

[00:39:02] The problem with three is unlike four and five, which have definitive re-releases.

[00:39:07] Three's never had one.

[00:39:08] And three's always been kind of confusing like that.

[00:39:10] Cause some people prefer FBS.

[00:39:12] Some people prefer portable.

[00:39:13] Some people like vanilla three for some reason.

[00:39:15] Like, yeah, it's just kind of like a thing where like, because three is such a confused

[00:39:20] game fan wise anyways, they, I think they kind of didn't know what direction to go.

[00:39:24] Yeah.

[00:39:24] Speaking about confusing, uh, Sega bass fishing.

[00:39:27] That's right.

[00:39:28] I don't care about Sega bass fishing.

[00:39:30] It's a fucking amazing.

[00:39:32] I want to hear about Bill talking about why a fucking RPG is in this category.

[00:39:38] God fucking Bill, please.

[00:39:42] Oh, why I picked brothership.

[00:39:44] Yes.

[00:39:45] So I picked.

[00:39:46] So.

[00:39:47] I like the fact that every time I asked Thrak to explain himself, Chris is like, shut

[00:39:52] the fuck up.

[00:39:53] I want to hear about this guy.

[00:39:58] It's his category and he's going to cry if he wants to.

[00:40:01] Chris is going to be too long.

[00:40:03] That's why.

[00:40:06] Fair enough.

[00:40:08] Um, why did I pick brothership?

[00:40:09] Well, because I love the books.

[00:40:10] The Mario and Luigi series.

[00:40:12] And I was so happy to see it make it finally make a return after I thought the series was

[00:40:17] dead forever.

[00:40:19] And I played brothership.

[00:40:21] I've been enjoying it so far, but the entire time I see, I interpreted this question a bit

[00:40:25] differently than like the whole like leaving you like wanting more aspect.

[00:40:29] The whole time I played brothership, I was like, this is so close to being exactly what I wanted in a game, but

[00:40:34] but it's just not quite to the same level as say like Bowser's inside story or superstar saga.

[00:40:41] Like, it's a great game for what it is, but it feels very much like a team that was just making one of these games rather than the soul of the series that we had before was really putting that effort into it.

[00:40:53] And it kind of the whole time left me feeling like this is fine.

[00:40:56] But it just it left me kind of with that empty feeling of like, I want like the dog.

[00:41:01] Yeah.

[00:41:01] This is fine dog.

[00:41:03] Sure.

[00:41:03] Now, now is that unfair?

[00:41:05] Now is that unfair to say because the original team that made superstar saga and Bowser's inside story don't exist anymore?

[00:41:13] They died with Dave in the same.

[00:41:17] They live in shadow Moses.

[00:41:19] The bullet that went through Dave actually hit every single death of Super Seat.

[00:41:24] It was like those fucking bullets from Wanted that like curve and shit.

[00:41:28] Oh, dude, you'll...

[00:41:29] And everything.

[00:41:30] Yeah.

[00:41:30] It's like the Suburter film.

[00:41:31] It ricocheted off of his spinal column and then went into the gas tank of a bus carrying all the people and developing it.

[00:41:38] Carrying the Alpha Dream, yeah.

[00:41:39] Like all these logs rolled out and destroyed Alpha Dream Studio.

[00:41:45] I was thinking, I was thinking more like...

[00:41:47] Fucking crushed all the people making rock bands so now I'm sad too.

[00:41:51] I'm like, oh.

[00:41:52] They're on the Ferris wheel and just...

[00:41:54] Yeah.

[00:41:55] The rollercoaster.

[00:41:57] The Ferris wheel is just all of the dev team from Hi-Fi Rush.

[00:42:02] Oh no!

[00:42:03] Why is everything I love dying?

[00:42:06] Oh God.

[00:42:07] And then they get saved to make something terrible.

[00:42:10] So, the way I...

[00:42:12] I feel bad for talking shit about all these porn companies like...

[00:42:16] Fuck up, they're dead, dude.

[00:42:18] I lost my life.

[00:42:18] I lost my life.

[00:42:19] Hey man, we're...

[00:42:19] Alpha Dream did it to themselves, let's be real here.

[00:42:22] Yeah.

[00:42:22] The industry just stroked itself for like four hours the other day.

[00:42:25] It's fine.

[00:42:25] We're coping, alright?

[00:42:27] We're coping with humor.

[00:42:29] That means that...

[00:42:29] I'm also getting Turok back so I mean I can't...

[00:42:31] And Onomusa so I can't even be mad.

[00:42:34] That Turok game kinda looks like ass.

[00:42:36] Yeah.

[00:42:36] I don't care.

[00:42:37] It'll probably be fun.

[00:42:40] It'll probably be fun.

[00:42:41] It looks better than the Disney disaster that came out like a few years ago.

[00:42:44] Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:42:45] I don't give a fuck.

[00:42:46] I've seen Okami and I just...

[00:42:47] Get my new dog.

[00:42:48] It...

[00:42:49] Fucking...

[00:42:49] What?

[00:42:51] See my new dog?

[00:42:51] Is it humping?

[00:42:53] No, it was like...

[00:42:55] Boy, that escalated quickly.

[00:42:57] Do you still have Molly?

[00:42:59] Um...

[00:42:59] Is your dog's name Okami?

[00:43:01] She ate...

[00:43:01] Actually, she ate Molly.

[00:43:03] That was horrible.

[00:43:05] No, his dog's name is God Hand.

[00:43:06] Ooh.

[00:43:07] God Hand.

[00:43:08] How about Sega Bass Fishing though?

[00:43:10] The...

[00:43:10] No.

[00:43:11] Yeah.

[00:43:11] I don't care about Sega Bass Fishing.

[00:43:13] What's fucking great?

[00:43:14] It's an amazing game!

[00:43:16] Shut up, Frank.

[00:43:17] What's the bang 2?

[00:43:18] It's in a Yakuza game, you bitch!

[00:43:21] It is Yakuza and Yakuza.

[00:43:22] It is!

[00:43:23] Before I play it!

[00:43:24] That's the most easy way to assess it.

[00:43:26] I bought the goddamn fishing rod for this game, okay?

[00:43:28] That controller is fucking interesting.

[00:43:29] Murdered cord.

[00:43:30] It's awesome.

[00:43:31] I am a nerd.

[00:43:32] I don't give a shit.

[00:43:33] You can hurt someone with that thing.

[00:43:35] Are we...

[00:43:35] Yes, like I'm gonna hurt Chris.

[00:43:37] I know where I live.

[00:43:39] I fucking know where he lives.

[00:43:40] Yeah, you do.

[00:43:41] Are we just qualifying Mario and Luigi and Persona 3 on Attack to Cali?

[00:43:46] Yes.

[00:43:47] Yes.

[00:43:47] They're too hard.

[00:43:50] They're too hard.

[00:43:51] They're too hard.

[00:43:51] It's cause they're full fledged RPGs, goddamn it.

[00:43:54] So what is the...

[00:43:55] What the fuck is the category supposed to mean?

[00:43:57] Like unfinished games or what?

[00:44:00] Games that left you wanting more.

[00:44:02] Like you finished it.

[00:44:02] I wanted more.

[00:44:03] Oh, fine.

[00:44:04] Fine.

[00:44:05] And I want more Sega Bass Fishing.

[00:44:07] Fine.

[00:44:08] Shut up.

[00:44:08] What's Threepang 2?

[00:44:11] Let me fucking tell you about this, alright?

[00:44:13] Have you guys ever played Fear?

[00:44:15] Yes.

[00:44:15] First Encounter Assault Recon.

[00:44:17] Yeah.

[00:44:18] This game is the spiritual successor to the first one.

[00:44:20] You know, the only one that's good.

[00:44:22] So...

[00:44:22] Do you think by a ghost in this game?

[00:44:23] Good words.

[00:44:26] That's the second Fear, okay?

[00:44:28] And that's the only good part about the second Fear.

[00:44:30] Okay.

[00:44:30] But in Fear...

[00:44:31] I mean, in Threepang 2, it is literally all of the combat mechanics,

[00:44:35] all the slow-mo, the crazy fucking Spaz 12 shotgun that you have, like blowing people away and they're flying,

[00:44:41] their body parts are flying across in a big cloud of fucking red mist.

[00:44:45] And then also the paranormal activity.

[00:44:48] But on top of that, it's taking creepypastas and cryptids and shit.

[00:44:53] Like you get to fight a computer at some point because it's hacked by a ghost.

[00:44:57] You're like...

[00:44:58] And these...

[00:44:58] It's so interesting and amazing.

[00:45:01] But at the same time, I needed more.

[00:45:03] There's DLC.

[00:45:04] And I'm about to play through it.

[00:45:06] I only just recently became aware that there's DLC.

[00:45:09] So I've gotta fucking play more of this.

[00:45:11] But...

[00:45:12] I beat this in one night.

[00:45:14] Standing an inch from my TV, shaking.

[00:45:17] Like, fucking...

[00:45:18] Like I just fucking...

[00:45:20] I beat the maximum adrenaline for hours.

[00:45:23] You killed Dave?

[00:45:23] Yes!

[00:45:25] Yeah, when I killed Dave...

[00:45:26] When I killed Maeve and replaced him...

[00:45:29] Yeah.

[00:45:30] Name's too close.

[00:45:31] That's actually why he didn't want to come on.

[00:45:32] We always get confused.

[00:45:35] It's like those TikToks of like the dude...

[00:45:38] It's like this close to his face and he's sweating, you know?

[00:45:41] Yes, it's exactly that.

[00:45:42] And you will feel the insane adrenaline rushes whenever you guys play Threepang 2.

[00:45:46] It's a cheap indie game.

[00:45:48] It is an immaculate first-person shooter.

[00:45:50] Even on the fucking console, which is where I played it.

[00:45:53] It works great on the sticks.

[00:45:54] And...

[00:45:55] You will never forget...

[00:45:57] Dual-wielding Spaz-12s with Dragon Breath shotgun shells.

[00:46:02] Sliding in slow motion underneath someone's legs.

[00:46:05] Kicking them in the air.

[00:46:06] And then juggling them with the fucking two Spaz-12s.

[00:46:09] Holy shit.

[00:46:10] Dude, it's so fun.

[00:46:12] It's great.

[00:46:13] This could've been Boy That Escalated quickly.

[00:46:16] All of my games I think could be that.

[00:46:19] Name escalates quickly.

[00:46:21] Oh yeah.

[00:46:22] What I was gonna say though is...

[00:46:26] I guess your case for this is that it's...

[00:46:29] Your adrenaline was so high and it's not a very long game?

[00:46:34] It is like three and a half hours long if you don't play the side content.

[00:46:39] There is some side content.

[00:46:41] But even after I was done beating the whole game, I just wanted to play more so much so that I never replay games.

[00:46:48] And I immediately started replaying it on the second harder difficulty.

[00:46:51] Like I just bumped it up again.

[00:46:53] And I'm like, I need...

[00:46:55] I need more.

[00:46:57] Even though the last one was really hard.

[00:46:59] That's crazy.

[00:47:00] So I'm like you.

[00:47:01] I do not replay games.

[00:47:03] Like as soon as I seen credits and metaphor, I was like, cool, I'm done.

[00:47:07] I'm out.

[00:47:07] Check it off on the list.

[00:47:09] I never go back in to replay a game other than like old retro games.

[00:47:13] Like I'll play like Super Mario World every few years just for the hell of it.

[00:47:18] But like, yeah, like newer games, I never play them.

[00:47:21] So if you're the same way and you don't really replay games and you immediately jumped back in, I feel like that might be a testament.

[00:47:29] Because it is literally you being like, where is the fucking rest of this game?

[00:47:33] I guess I'll just play it again.

[00:47:36] So yes, that's a good.

[00:47:38] That's a good, good case.

[00:47:40] Sega Bass Fishing, Thrak.

[00:47:42] What's...

[00:47:43] Can I find it?

[00:47:45] God damn it.

[00:47:47] I want to hear about Space Marine too.

[00:47:51] No, not Space Marine.

[00:47:53] That game's awesome though.

[00:47:53] Go ahead with Sega Bass Fishing.

[00:47:55] Thank you.

[00:47:55] Okay.

[00:47:55] So this was released in the Dreamcast era, originally on arcades, but got ported to the Dreamcast.

[00:48:01] And is a bass fishing simulator basically, but it's a Sega arcade version of it.

[00:48:06] So, you know, you pick your lure and then you cast out to catch the fish, but it's all like arcadey.

[00:48:12] So it has like sick music and it's all real fast paced.

[00:48:15] And the announcer is hype as shit, you know?

[00:48:18] Yeah.

[00:48:18] Enjoy your fishing, you know?

[00:48:20] And then when you...

[00:48:21] Time's up!

[00:48:21] Come on!

[00:48:22] Come on!

[00:48:22] Yeah, and you know, he's getting you hype as fuck.

[00:48:24] And because it's an arcade game, you can beat it in like an hour and a half.

[00:48:28] But like, it's just, it's so addicting to play that it's like, I can't stop playing this game.

[00:48:33] And I keep putting it in and playing it all the time, especially with the fishing rod controller.

[00:48:38] Like it just, it's a real addicting game and shows like the peak of Sega's like arcade development back then.

[00:48:44] Like they just knew how to make games in a way that nobody ever really has, I think, since.

[00:48:49] Have you ever played the arcade version?

[00:48:51] Uh, no.

[00:48:52] I've never found the arcade version.

[00:48:53] There is a barcade in Oklahoma City that I go to and every now and then they swap, they swap a bunch of things.

[00:48:59] They have like the big Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cabinet and shit and the X-Men one.

[00:49:02] Oh hell yeah.

[00:49:03] But like they have the Sega bass fishing that they swap in every now and then and it is hype.

[00:49:07] Can you mail it to me?

[00:49:09] I will put it in my pocket and I'll walk out of there.

[00:49:13] I would set that shit up in my house, no lie.

[00:49:16] Just to play it all the time.

[00:49:17] It's just, it's so good.

[00:49:19] It's one of those games that like Trapang 2, it just gets into my brain and I can't stop catching fish.

[00:49:25] Especially when you go to the castle and catch the super bass and they treat it like a fucking boss fight to catch this motherfucker.

[00:49:31] Yeah, and you catch like this like, you catch like this seven or this 18 fucking pound bass.

[00:49:35] And then it's like, oh, you're ranked number one.

[00:49:38] Like, fuck yeah, man.

[00:49:39] You're fucking so good.

[00:49:40] It's an arcade game.

[00:49:41] So it's also fairly short, I guess, right?

[00:49:44] Yeah, yeah.

[00:49:44] It's like an hour and a half.

[00:49:45] There is the Dreamcast version has an original mode, which is basically they take like there's

[00:49:50] like only like four maps in the game and then they extend them.

[00:49:53] So you like can spend more like you can kind of take your time more with catching fish.

[00:49:57] But it's like I just want more content out of this motherfucker.

[00:50:00] You know, that's all.

[00:50:01] You know, when he started getting into it, he was messaging me.

[00:50:05] The sequel is dog shit.

[00:50:07] He messaged me.

[00:50:08] He's like, oh, I bought a Dreamcast a couple of days later.

[00:50:10] Oh, I got Sega bass fishing a couple of days later.

[00:50:12] Oh, it's really good.

[00:50:13] A week later, I bought the fucking controller and I can't stop.

[00:50:19] Jesus Christ.

[00:50:21] You can't.

[00:50:21] Yeah, this is downhill.

[00:50:22] And just for further proof, it was sitting in my dream.

[00:50:25] Hell yeah.

[00:50:26] I just checked and it was in there.

[00:50:28] It was such a popular game that Sega was like, this would work great in Sonic Adventure.

[00:50:35] That doesn't count.

[00:50:36] Shut your mouth.

[00:50:39] I caught a fish.

[00:50:41] I'm gonna fucking hang myself.

[00:50:44] I'm gonna fucking hang myself.

[00:50:44] I'm gonna fucking hang myself.

[00:50:44] He doesn't have a neck.

[00:50:46] He can't hang himself.

[00:50:47] Hey there, little buddy.

[00:50:48] Like non-egg game.

[00:50:50] I'm gonna sit on your face.

[00:50:52] I'm so sad.

[00:50:54] I need to sit on your face.

[00:50:55] I'm gonna kick gas and chew bubble gum before I didn't go.

[00:50:58] So anyway, Space Marine 2.

[00:51:00] Chris.

[00:51:01] No.

[00:51:02] Party House.

[00:51:03] The chorus of the cat is terrifying.

[00:51:07] Party House.

[00:51:08] So tell us.

[00:51:09] So yes.

[00:51:11] All right.

[00:51:11] All right.

[00:51:12] Before you before you start.

[00:51:13] I bought UFO 50 because of you.

[00:51:16] You wouldn't shut the fuck up about it.

[00:51:18] Yes.

[00:51:18] You wouldn't shut up about it.

[00:51:20] On Superpod.

[00:51:21] He's not the only one.

[00:51:22] On Superghost and on fucking Twitter.

[00:51:25] You wouldn't shut up about it.

[00:51:26] Okay.

[00:51:28] So I bought it and I haven't played it yet.

[00:51:31] Okay.

[00:51:32] I'm probably not gonna play it.

[00:51:34] You're off the show.

[00:51:35] But I still want to hear you talk about it.

[00:51:37] At least he's honest.

[00:51:39] I'm waiting for the console port.

[00:51:41] So.

[00:51:42] Party House is among I'd say the top five of the entire collection.

[00:51:49] It's a and I can't remember who said this earlier.

[00:51:54] Thrak maybe it was you about deck builder like roguelike games that you like you don't play them, but you played inscription and you liked it.

[00:52:01] Because everyone was like stick with it because the story and the way the game unfolds is really interesting.

[00:52:08] Right.

[00:52:08] And like it's I also fucking hate deck builder roguelikes and party house doesn't have a story, but it's so fucking good that it does like the whole thing.

[00:52:22] Like I've seen people that love deck builders and are like hardcore deck builder like roguelike fans have praised this thing.

[00:52:29] And they're like this UFO 50 is worth buying for party house alone.

[00:52:34] Like it's that fucking good.

[00:52:36] And I I didn't really know if I was going to like that game.

[00:52:42] I had I had seen people making like UFO 50 tier lists and stuff and I was like, yeah, I don't know about that.

[00:52:49] And I threw it on once and I was like, I don't really get what I'm supposed to be doing here.

[00:52:53] So I I just like kind of skipped it.

[00:52:55] I played fucking 30 other games and then I came back to it one evening and like a lot of the UFO 50 games, there's a moment where they kind of just click.

[00:53:06] And when this one clicked on for me, I played nothing but party house for about 24 hours, like just straight.

[00:53:18] Plus, I was off during my surgery, so I had literally nothing else to do.

[00:53:22] And I could not fucking stop playing party house and nave kind of like what you said.

[00:53:27] When I beat a game, even in UFO 50.

[00:53:30] Okay, we're done.

[00:53:31] I'm done with party house.

[00:53:34] There's scenarios.

[00:53:36] There's only I think there's five.

[00:53:39] Yeah, five scenarios that you need to work through.

[00:53:42] Then the sixth scenario is like a random like it.

[00:53:47] It randomizes it.

[00:53:48] So it's like kind of like a forever thing that you can just keep playing and like people and they give you like streaks or something like you like I think I see somebody played like 50 games of it in a winning streak, which is crazy.

[00:54:02] But even even with that, I just I want there to be more party house like I wanted there to be a full party house like game eventually.

[00:54:15] You know, like that.

[00:54:17] That's where my brain went was like, where's the rest of this game?

[00:54:21] Like I want more of this game.

[00:54:24] Like if there's a party house to as a standalone, that's not part of UFO 50 or anything like that.

[00:54:30] Like I want that.

[00:54:31] That's what I want.

[00:54:32] I want something like that.

[00:54:34] That just expands on this.

[00:54:35] You sound Yakuza brained right now because that's us with the mini games.

[00:54:39] Yeah.

[00:54:40] I want to slap them on a mobile game and I'll pay $5 for it.

[00:54:45] I'll even buy micro transactions.

[00:54:46] That's exactly what I said about party house in our UFO 50 episode.

[00:54:49] I was like make party house just a separate game, separate purchase, $5 mobile phones, $10 even.

[00:54:54] And then I'd fucking buy it because it's it's that fucking good.

[00:54:59] Yeah, I find funny that that when Jerry said I fucking hate rope like the builders, Aaron kind of twitched.

[00:55:10] He can't he can't stand our hatred for him.

[00:55:13] It sounded sounded like a personal attack to him.

[00:55:15] I see Slay the Spire and just go like I would hate that.

[00:55:17] Meanwhile, I'm more powerful.

[00:55:20] Look at that dark Aaron.

[00:55:21] I was like, yes, give me more power.

[00:55:26] Eventually, I'm going to be the one running Superpod saga.

[00:55:30] All the chaos emeralds or whatever.

[00:55:34] Yeah, the site will burn.

[00:55:36] Dave's plan to take over the Superpod network.

[00:55:40] All right.

[00:55:41] So we got to.

[00:55:42] Yeah.

[00:55:44] Thrak can vouch for this.

[00:55:46] We played through the campaign co-op.

[00:55:48] What would it take us?

[00:55:49] Six hours to get through the whole thing.

[00:55:51] Um, yeah, I can check.

[00:55:53] So and talking, I'll tell you.

[00:55:55] And we still haven't beaten.

[00:55:56] We still haven't even started the multiplayer shit, the extra missions and whatnot.

[00:56:02] Yeah.

[00:56:03] There's like a main like solo campaign that you can do.

[00:56:06] There's a lot of people.

[00:56:07] Yeah.

[00:56:08] And then there's a co-op campaign.

[00:56:09] Yeah.

[00:56:10] Which is basically just the the B sides of the regular.

[00:56:14] Yeah.

[00:56:14] Yeah.

[00:56:14] You have a whole nother team doing other things on the other side.

[00:56:17] It's supposed to be really good, though.

[00:56:19] Yeah.

[00:56:19] It's fantastic.

[00:56:20] The game is fucking crazy.

[00:56:23] I loved it.

[00:56:24] I don't know how Thrak felt.

[00:56:26] There's something that I'm jumping in also, but like there's something awesome that they

[00:56:30] do before we run off from the co-op thing where a boss is there and you see him and then

[00:56:35] in the solo campaign and then he falls and then you're just like, I'm gonna have to fight

[00:56:39] that guy later and then you don't.

[00:56:41] And they put that in the co-op campaign.

[00:56:43] Like, that's brave.

[00:56:44] Like, that's fucking crazy.

[00:56:45] Hell yeah.

[00:56:46] They were like, great.

[00:56:47] They were like, we know what we've got and we know people are gonna play the co-op stuff.

[00:56:50] So it's sick.

[00:56:51] So we finished it and I was like, holy shit.

[00:56:54] We're halfway through the game.

[00:56:55] This is not long enough.

[00:56:57] If the B sides are six more hours, I am going to be very, very upset.

[00:57:03] This game was almost on the $70 I can't believe I paid for next category or whatever.

[00:57:10] Because I was very fucking mad that it was that short and it was fucking incredible from

[00:57:16] start to finish.

[00:57:16] It was like, fuck.

[00:57:19] It's like when you have the best wings of your entire life and you're saving like the

[00:57:24] perfect wing for last and you eat it.

[00:57:27] And when you're done, you're like, fuck, I want more wings, but they're $20 for a 10 piece.

[00:57:33] That's exactly how it felt.

[00:57:35] I still have more game, but still.

[00:57:37] The rest of the game is like the season fries or whatever in that wing order, but still.

[00:57:42] So I have it.

[00:57:43] We put eight hours and 41 minutes into it.

[00:57:46] Yeah, it's not long.

[00:57:47] I played it start to finish with Greg as well, but we have not done the multiplayer stuff

[00:57:53] or the co-op missions yet.

[00:57:54] And he's been kind of itching to get in there and do those.

[00:57:57] But I would say one of the reasons why I haven't told Threk, let's finish this is because I

[00:58:03] know that when we finish it, it'll be over until whenever they decide to release shit

[00:58:08] for it.

[00:58:08] If they do.

[00:58:09] They are regularly releasing shit.

[00:58:11] But my friend, I did an episode on gaming together.

[00:58:14] Is it more stuff, more missions and shit or is it just a real DLC?

[00:58:19] It's missions for the co-op thing.

[00:58:22] So they're adding stuff to that.

[00:58:24] The person that I did the Warhammer episode over on gaming together, my buddy.

[00:58:30] Well, I said my buddy and I forget his name off the top of my head.

[00:58:33] Dontre.

[00:58:34] Sorry.

[00:58:35] Buddy, buddy.

[00:58:35] Yeah.

[00:58:36] My buddy, my pal, my friend.

[00:58:38] So he always just informs me.

[00:58:40] He's like, hey, dude, they added this thing to Space Marine.

[00:58:42] And I'm just like, all right, I'm not going to play it because I have to be metaphoric

[00:58:45] and it's 800,000 hours long.

[00:58:47] But you have fun.

[00:58:53] Yeah, I've been waiting.

[00:58:54] Yeah, Chris, I've been waiting for you to be like, dude, let's do more fucking Space

[00:58:56] Marine.

[00:58:57] That's the reason why I haven't told you.

[00:58:58] Let's get back to it.

[00:59:00] Okay.

[00:59:01] The difference between the co-op and the solo thing, it's like, it's weird because

[00:59:05] you can do the solo thing in co-op and you can do the co-op campaign in solo.

[00:59:09] Like you can play by yourself.

[00:59:10] I don't know what any of this means.

[00:59:10] But like the difference is that all of the solo campaign has like these awesome like cinematics

[00:59:16] and stuff.

[00:59:16] The co-op campaign does not.

[00:59:18] Like it is like definitely B-sides.

[00:59:20] You know what I mean?

[00:59:21] Like you'll notice that right away.

[00:59:23] You start the mission, you fucking do it, and then you're done and then you just keep

[00:59:27] going.

[00:59:28] Yeah, you'll get like a dialogue and people are talking, but there's never cut scenes.

[00:59:33] You know what I mean?

[00:59:34] You'll get like intros to new bosses.

[00:59:36] There's like completely new content.

[00:59:37] It's not like completely reused, but it's not the same caliber as the original campaign.

[00:59:43] So I'm kind of glad that they separated them like that if they were going to do something

[00:59:47] like that.

[00:59:47] So here's where my head is at with this.

[00:59:49] I feel like Space Marine 2, there is still like you're asking where's the rest of you

[00:59:55] and it's in the co-op.

[00:59:56] It's in those co-op missions.

[00:59:58] And I get what you're saying.

[00:59:59] What about afterwards?

[00:59:59] I don't care about PVP because that's the only thing that's left after you're done with

[01:00:03] the co-op.

[01:00:03] Yeah, I understand that too.

[01:00:05] I wouldn't count that.

[01:00:07] Same way that I don't count like the randomizer on Party House.

[01:00:13] Because for me, it was like the main five scenarios.

[01:00:18] And then once they were done, I was like, well, fuck, I got I mean, I can keep playing

[01:00:21] it, but like the scenarios themselves were like finely tuned.

[01:00:25] Yeah.

[01:00:25] Is it like randomizer feels like it feels like a cheat way to extend the game?

[01:00:30] Uh, man, kind of.

[01:00:32] Yes.

[01:00:33] Okay.

[01:00:35] Um, I think my, but that's the thing.

[01:00:38] Go on.

[01:00:39] Yeah, I was gonna say, I think my vote is probably going to know.

[01:00:43] Oh, I was thinking of Trepang 2.

[01:00:45] But I mean, if they have DLC, then you better calm down.

[01:00:53] He's going to come through the screen.

[01:00:55] You would have better off if you didn't say the game.

[01:00:57] Because now I'm mad at you.

[01:00:59] You've made an enemy.

[01:00:59] Where's Trepang 1?

[01:01:02] Trepang 1.

[01:01:03] I've already figured this out.

[01:01:04] Yeah.

[01:01:05] So Trepang 1 is like a 2D side scroller about a sea cucumber because that's what

[01:01:09] Trepang literally translates into.

[01:01:11] And it has nothing to do with Trepang 2.

[01:01:13] And the only way you can get it is, I mean, you can get otherwise probably, but you got

[01:01:16] to go to their discord and that's where the official download link is for that game.

[01:01:20] You can just download it for free and play it.

[01:01:22] But let me know how it is.

[01:01:24] A bunch of people can't run it.

[01:01:26] A bunch of people can't run it.

[01:01:30] So, Thrak, even though yours is kind of the most jokey of the bunch, I feel like you actually might have a point.

[01:01:39] I love this game.

[01:01:40] Because I always feel the same.

[01:01:41] God damn it.

[01:01:41] I always feel the same way about arcade games too.

[01:01:44] I always feel like.

[01:01:45] But that's the point though.

[01:01:46] They're so quick.

[01:01:47] They're supposed to be.

[01:01:48] Because they're in an all-

[01:01:48] Damn it!

[01:01:49] I should have jumped in!

[01:01:50] Like it's infinitely replayable, but it's just like, I would have loved if they did like a proper

[01:01:54] sequel to this or made like a bigger version.

[01:01:58] Because there is a bass fishing too, but the problem is they try to make it more like simulation

[01:02:03] type fishing and it just really doesn't.

[01:02:05] It just doesn't work.

[01:02:06] Well, here's the thing.

[01:02:07] It's not the same vibe at all.

[01:02:09] Here's the thing.

[01:02:10] Ryu Ga Gotoku is making the virtual fighter game because they had it in all of the Yakuza games.

[01:02:16] Maybe they're going to put, maybe they're going to make a new Sega bass fishing.

[01:02:19] Maybe you'll get what you want.

[01:02:20] Maybe you get what you want.

[01:02:21] If Ryu Ga Gotoku made a proper Sega bass fishing game, I don't know what I would do.

[01:02:27] I might die from the amount of gooning I would have to do with that.

[01:02:30] Probably make another binary domain before they do fucking Sega bass fishing.

[01:02:35] I wish.

[01:02:36] They'll make a Sonic game.

[01:02:37] I wish.

[01:02:37] Binary domain is tight actually.

[01:02:39] Yeah.

[01:02:39] But what if in the fucking Majima game that's coming out next year, actually the mini game

[01:02:45] is Sega bass fishing.

[01:02:47] Oh, that would, yes!

[01:02:49] Yes!

[01:02:50] I want it now.

[01:02:51] Make a cannon.

[01:02:52] My dog's getting a little anxious from all the screaming I'm doing.

[01:02:55] I'm excited for Pirate Yakuza.

[01:02:57] That game looks sick.

[01:02:58] Oh dude, so much.

[01:02:59] So what, the folks that have been eliminated already, Aaron and Bill, where do you feel

[01:03:05] like you are, where do your alliances lie?

[01:03:09] Um, I'm going to say Sega bass fishing because I didn't play any of the other games.

[01:03:13] Yeah.

[01:03:13] Thank you, Bill.

[01:03:14] Thank you.

[01:03:14] I can always count on my 3DO cohort.

[01:03:16] This is tough.

[01:03:17] I think it's going to go to Party House and hear me out.

[01:03:21] So, uh, Trepank 2, you got DLC.

[01:03:25] Fucking Space Marine 2.

[01:03:28] I'm about to look up what the DLC is.

[01:03:30] Hold on.

[01:03:30] They can update all that shit.

[01:03:31] How much it is.

[01:03:32] Those are like current day games.

[01:03:34] They could add shit to them.

[01:03:35] Sega bass fishing.

[01:03:36] It's an arcade game.

[01:03:37] It's supposed to be short.

[01:03:39] It does suck.

[01:03:40] Like they never made like a proper sequel to it.

[01:03:42] Party House.

[01:03:42] They totally could have made it longer.

[01:03:44] They have that long ass fucking Wild West RPG in there.

[01:03:47] Fucking Avianos.

[01:03:48] Every turn takes a goddamn lifetime.

[01:03:51] So, Party House, man.

[01:03:52] And UFO 50 is not the kind of game that will get like DLC or anything.

[01:03:56] Yeah.

[01:03:56] No.

[01:03:57] They've been updating it, but just like kind of like fixes and stuff like that.

[01:04:01] Like I really.

[01:04:03] UFO 51.

[01:04:03] We added another game.

[01:04:05] Well, there is a good one of the games in that game actually.

[01:04:09] So, no, cause I haven't played UFO 50.

[01:04:10] Cause people are like, there's a little story in there.

[01:04:13] So like, I'm waiting for the console port so I can play it that way.

[01:04:17] Okay.

[01:04:17] I'm looking at the steam page.

[01:04:19] It's blade kisser.

[01:04:20] That's the DLC name.

[01:04:22] Nice.

[01:04:23] And it don't, it adds, it adds a few missions and a few new weapons.

[01:04:27] That's all it adds.

[01:04:28] It's not like a ton, but I'm looking at the most, the most helpful review.

[01:04:32] And it says, maybe I don't play enough DLCs, but I have not had this much of a blast since

[01:04:38] the ancient gods part one, which is doom eternal.

[01:04:41] Yeah.

[01:04:42] And that DLC is nuts.

[01:04:43] So.

[01:04:44] They're all nuts.

[01:04:45] They are all nuts.

[01:04:47] But I think that that enforces my, my points that even with this DLC people want more.

[01:04:54] Like this game is, has an insatiable appetite for, for blood, blood lust.

[01:05:02] I feel like, um, I, if, if we go around and we, we kind of choose something each to, if

[01:05:11] we want to ax something, um, Bill, what would you be getting rid of here?

[01:05:17] Uh, problem is I don't know anything about the other three games, but just based on what

[01:05:25] people have like with their cases, make a choice, Bill.

[01:05:31] Yeah.

[01:05:31] Pick one.

[01:05:32] The rest are axed.

[01:05:35] I'm just kidding.

[01:05:36] I'm kidding.

[01:05:37] Just bill.

[01:05:37] Just bill.

[01:05:38] I thought it was, he was picking one to get rid of.

[01:05:42] Like if you, if you were to pick one to get rid of, what would it be?

[01:05:45] I guess.

[01:05:46] Uh, sorry, Nate.

[01:05:47] What was your game called again?

[01:05:49] I'm paying to.

[01:05:50] I mean, Sega bat fishing.

[01:05:51] That's what I think.

[01:05:52] Shut up.

[01:05:53] Shut the fuck up.

[01:05:54] I guess that game.

[01:05:55] I'm going to choke you like a description.

[01:05:57] It did get more content, I guess so.

[01:06:01] Okay.

[01:06:01] So, Chris, where, where would you feel like axing something right now?

[01:06:11] Sega bat.

[01:06:11] It's okay to say fuck.

[01:06:12] I knew.

[01:06:13] I knew he was going to say that, you ass.

[01:06:18] No, I'm.

[01:06:18] He just doesn't want me to have fun.

[01:06:20] I'm not.

[01:06:20] I'm not.

[01:06:22] As much as I want space marine to win, cause it's such an incredible fucking game.

[01:06:28] It's.

[01:06:29] If they keep updating it and adding shit to it, then it'll be around for a while.

[01:06:34] I just wish they did it.

[01:06:35] Now.

[01:06:35] I want everything.

[01:06:35] Now I want 200 missions right now, all full fledged.

[01:06:40] Full one hour missions.

[01:06:42] All of them now.

[01:06:44] You're going to be playing this game once a week till we die.

[01:06:46] That's what I want.

[01:06:48] I.

[01:06:49] Everything everywhere all at once.

[01:06:51] So if I.

[01:06:51] Democracy failed me.

[01:06:53] With.

[01:06:54] Hell divers.

[01:06:55] I want to spread religion.

[01:06:57] So.

[01:06:58] Space Marine.

[01:06:59] The guy.

[01:07:00] So if I was going to.

[01:07:01] Cut something here, I'd probably be cutting.

[01:07:05] This is tough.

[01:07:07] It's either.

[01:07:07] It's either between space marine or Sega bass fishing.

[01:07:12] But.

[01:07:13] God damn it.

[01:07:14] I think it's actually space marine for me.

[01:07:17] Chris.

[01:07:18] I'm sorry, man.

[01:07:19] That's just how I feel.

[01:07:21] That's all right.

[01:07:22] Let's just all vote that Sega bass fishing is the way.

[01:07:25] Where's the rest of you?

[01:07:27] We have to eliminate all of them eventually.

[01:07:30] God damn it.

[01:07:31] Except for one.

[01:07:33] I would.

[01:07:33] I would take a bass fishy wings.

[01:07:35] I would concede party house to Trepang too.

[01:07:40] Just because I know.

[01:07:42] Which pain of playing a game so fucking good.

[01:07:45] And then it just kind of ends.

[01:07:47] And you're like.

[01:07:48] That's.

[01:07:49] I don't want to seem like I'm colluding with Jerry.

[01:07:51] Because I was all.

[01:07:52] If you would have asked me to concede.

[01:07:54] I would have also conceded the party house.

[01:07:56] And I know.

[01:07:57] And I recognize.

[01:07:58] I also conceded the Jerry's last time as well.

[01:08:01] So I will try to refrain from doing that again.

[01:08:03] But.

[01:08:07] I'm aiming at party house if Trepang doesn't win.

[01:08:10] But I genuinely believe Trepang needs more content.

[01:08:14] It's so good.

[01:08:15] But didn't you say it has DLC?

[01:08:16] Is it.

[01:08:17] Is it not like.

[01:08:18] Yes.

[01:08:19] But.

[01:08:20] But Chris.

[01:08:21] Chris.

[01:08:21] He said that there's a whole other campaign.

[01:08:24] He just didn't play.

[01:08:29] It's over.

[01:08:30] It's over.

[01:08:32] But we haven't finished it yet.

[01:08:34] And once we do.

[01:08:36] It'll be done.

[01:08:37] There's no.

[01:08:38] You don't know.

[01:08:38] I'm experiencing it.

[01:08:39] But when we finish it.

[01:08:41] You might feel.

[01:08:41] Be like.

[01:08:42] Yeah.

[01:08:42] That's satisfying.

[01:08:44] I'm good man.

[01:08:45] No.

[01:08:46] I don't know that.

[01:08:48] God damn it.

[01:08:49] Listen.

[01:08:50] I say.

[01:08:50] Dragon Age.

[01:08:51] The veil guard today.

[01:08:52] And I'm still fiending for killing more darkspawn.

[01:08:55] I spent 80 hours in that fucking game.

[01:08:57] And I still want to kill more darkspawn.

[01:08:59] Lee.

[01:08:59] You don't know me.

[01:09:00] Start another game.

[01:09:01] I'm.

[01:09:01] I'm.

[01:09:03] I'm.

[01:09:05] I'm.

[01:09:05] I'm.

[01:09:06] I'm.

[01:09:06] Can we all agree that we can cut.

[01:09:09] Sega bass fishing.

[01:09:11] No.

[01:09:12] I'm not budging you ass.

[01:09:14] It's an arcade game.

[01:09:15] It's supposed to be short.

[01:09:17] We only have.

[01:09:18] We only have three votes.

[01:09:20] So who's the other three left.

[01:09:22] Treping two.

[01:09:25] No.

[01:09:25] I meant like three.

[01:09:26] The three people who haven't voted to kick something off.

[01:09:28] Yeah.

[01:09:29] Then.

[01:09:29] Then whoever has the most gets kick.

[01:09:31] That's how it works man.

[01:09:32] And then we'll just do it again.

[01:09:33] I guess.

[01:09:33] I don't know.

[01:09:35] I'm voting to kick off.

[01:09:36] We don't always have to resort to.

[01:09:38] Space Marine.

[01:09:39] Yeah.

[01:09:40] That's.

[01:09:40] See.

[01:09:41] Mine's for Space Marine as well.

[01:09:45] Cause it has more.

[01:09:46] In eight hours.

[01:09:49] That's an insurmountable.

[01:09:50] My vote doesn't matter anymore.

[01:09:53] All right.

[01:09:54] Space Marine.

[01:09:55] It's all right.

[01:09:56] It's all right.

[01:09:56] Space Marines gone.

[01:09:58] We may be seeing Space Marine later.

[01:10:01] Now next.

[01:10:02] I do.

[01:10:03] Let's get rid of Sega Bass Fishing next.

[01:10:05] And let's just crown party house the winner.

[01:10:08] God damn it.

[01:10:08] You all know, but I am going to unfortunately vote for Sega Bass Fishing,

[01:10:11] even though I was rooting for you.

[01:10:13] God damn it.

[01:10:13] It's okay.

[01:10:14] You guys have no.

[01:10:15] You guys have no taste.

[01:10:16] That's fine.

[01:10:17] Who voted Treping?

[01:10:18] I voted Treping.

[01:10:20] Or somebody.

[01:10:20] Got rid of Treping.

[01:10:22] I didn't even vote for you.

[01:10:24] I'm the only one.

[01:10:26] You're getting more content.

[01:10:31] It's true.

[01:10:31] Just because we're on the same boat doesn't mean that your game is better.

[01:10:36] Someone's getting thrown off this boat.

[01:10:38] We're all sinking on this boat.

[01:10:39] Die with me, Knave.

[01:10:42] I feel like the only one that people don't feel strongly about getting rid of yet is party house.

[01:10:52] Hey, no, we can fucking argue again at the end.

[01:10:57] I'm just going to ruin it.

[01:10:59] So see, I haven't played Treping 2 or party house.

[01:11:01] So I have no real opinion one way or the other.

[01:11:03] But knowing Treping has a bunch of DLC and party house won't.

[01:11:07] You guys keep saying a bunch of DLC.

[01:11:09] I don't know where this fake news came from.

[01:11:12] You fucking said DLC.

[01:11:14] You said it.

[01:11:15] It's like three missions that are like 20 minutes a piece.

[01:11:19] That's an hour more of content, baby.

[01:11:22] That's an hour more of DLC.

[01:11:23] That's an hour more than fake a bass fishing.

[01:11:24] Yeah.

[01:11:25] It is.

[01:11:26] That's boring.

[01:11:26] You know what?

[01:11:28] Treping, wait, wait, wait, wait.

[01:11:30] Please, let me get off.

[01:11:31] I'm on my knees.

[01:11:32] Look, look.

[01:11:33] No, me, no.

[01:11:34] You know what Treping doesn't have?

[01:11:36] You have a fucking randomizer mode for endless content.

[01:11:40] You can only replay the original Treping.

[01:11:43] You can't like have new, weird, interesting scenarios.

[01:11:47] You have to keep replaying the missions over and over again.

[01:11:49] There's five scenarios in party house.

[01:11:51] And you know how long it takes to get through all of those?

[01:11:53] Fucking 30 minutes.

[01:11:55] Fucking 30 minutes.

[01:11:56] That's it.

[01:11:57] I feel like Jerry's cheating again because he picked a stupid thing in the compilation.

[01:12:02] All right.

[01:12:03] I got an argument.

[01:12:03] I got an argument that's going to put this all to rest.

[01:12:06] Treping two is going to get DLC.

[01:12:08] It's going to get updates and everything, right?

[01:12:10] It's going to keep going.

[01:12:11] Party house has a randomizer.

[01:12:13] Sega bass fishing.

[01:12:14] You know what you got with Sega bass fishing?

[01:12:16] Restarting the fucking game all over again.

[01:12:18] I got a fish.

[01:12:20] Oh, a big one.

[01:12:22] That's all you got.

[01:12:24] This one's huge.

[01:12:24] Once it's done, it's over.

[01:12:25] There's no more support.

[01:12:26] That's, I guess.

[01:12:27] They're not making DLC for that.

[01:12:29] It's done.

[01:12:29] It's done.

[01:12:29] Or I'd shit my pants.

[01:12:31] All right.

[01:12:32] No.

[01:12:32] All right.

[01:12:32] That's a good case.

[01:12:35] Thank you, Chris.

[01:12:36] You're welcome, bitch.

[01:12:37] I'm voting that Sega bass fishing wins.

[01:12:40] My greatest enemy is my greatest enemy.

[01:12:41] This category alone is going to make this a four hour podcast.

[01:12:47] I will shift my vote to Sega bass fishing, Nave, if you can also concede to it.

[01:12:53] Because I feel like you and I would be the only ones dying on the hill and we're never

[01:12:57] going to get anywhere with it.

[01:13:00] You're right.

[01:13:00] I think if your game, I think if your game is in the thing, maybe your vote counts for

[01:13:04] a little bit less, but I'm so mad.

[01:13:09] I just want everyone to know that.

[01:13:11] I'm quite angry.

[01:13:13] At least the listener knows Trapang 2 is good.

[01:13:16] So I can at least conceive that.

[01:13:19] Hey, if nothing else, you've heard that you've made the developers money.

[01:13:24] Maybe all of our listeners will support it and we'll get more DRLC.

[01:13:28] It'll be like...

[01:13:30] Trapang 2 is going to be like the among us of this year.

[01:13:38] Trapang 2 is going to be the winner of this year.

[01:13:39] You won the category, where's the rest of you?

[01:13:43] Thank you.

[01:13:44] This isn't the first time.

[01:13:46] You don't deserve it, but you got it.

[01:13:48] Me and Jerry just killed each other.

[01:13:51] And then Drak was just like, oh, I was always here.

[01:13:54] I win by osmosis.

[01:13:58] But hey, it was an ugly dub, but I'll take it.

[01:14:02] And this isn't the first time somebody's asked me, where's the rest of you?

[01:14:07] You know what's funny?

[01:14:07] You got the win, but you didn't fight for it.

[01:14:10] I have to fight for you.

[01:14:11] It's almost like when we play Space Marine and you fucking die.

[01:14:15] I didn't die that much.

[01:14:17] What's the next one?

[01:14:18] But you're still there.

[01:14:19] I died quite a little bit.

[01:14:20] You died too.

[01:14:22] I didn't.

[01:14:23] I did.

[01:14:24] That's fake news.

[01:14:25] Alright, order in the court.

[01:14:26] Judge Jerry has spoken.

[01:14:28] I will like to...

[01:14:30] Jerry, Jerry, Jerry.

[01:14:31] I will draw your attention to the next award.

[01:14:35] I can't believe I paid $69.99 or $79.99 Canada for this shit.

[01:14:40] This is presented...

[01:14:42] Wait, I mean, go ahead and say the present.

[01:14:45] This is presented by Bill.

[01:14:47] So Bill, take it away.

[01:14:49] Wait, I just want to pause.

[01:14:50] Because the last category, we dismissed two of them immediately on technicalities.

[01:14:55] And I see an immediate technicality that could be raised for this one.

[01:15:00] Which is, I don't think any of these games besides one cost $69.99.

[01:15:06] Okay, so time, time.

[01:15:09] Double time.

[01:15:10] That's the price of most modern games.

[01:15:12] I was just using it as a rhetorical...

[01:15:14] This is Bill's category.

[01:15:16] This is Bill's category.

[01:15:17] He can do whatever's fun.

[01:15:18] So Bill, sorry, I...

[01:15:19] Do you allow it, Bill?

[01:15:21] That is the question.

[01:15:21] Do you allow it?

[01:15:23] I allow it because I said $69.99 because that is the current price of most modern games.

[01:15:28] That's the standard.

[01:15:29] So we can rename it.

[01:15:29] I can't believe I paid modern pricing for this shit.

[01:15:32] Money.

[01:15:34] Yeah, but what I wrote sounds better.

[01:15:36] Just full price.

[01:15:38] So we can say $69.

[01:15:39] $69.99.

[01:15:40] Well, yeah, because $69.99 just rolls off the tongue much better than...

[01:15:45] Put in parentheses nice.

[01:15:47] You know what I mean?

[01:15:48] Anyway.

[01:15:49] Well, $69.69 is a great NSP song, but I mean...

[01:15:51] Can't believe I paid full price for this shit.

[01:15:52] That still sounds good.

[01:15:53] I like that.

[01:15:53] Why don't you go ahead and read the nominations for I Can't Believe I Paid Full Price for this

[01:15:58] show.

[01:15:58] Full price.

[01:15:59] Nice.

[01:16:01] Nice.

[01:16:04] All right.

[01:16:05] So I can't believe I paid full price for this shit.

[01:16:12] $69.99.

[01:16:14] We've got Tales from the Borderlands from Knave, Diablo 4 from Aaron, Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster

[01:16:24] from Thrak, Hellblade 2 from Jerry, Rise of the Ronin from Chris, and Super Mario Wonder

[01:16:31] from me.

[01:16:32] Objection.

[01:16:33] You did read my name wrong.

[01:16:34] Thrak corrected you.

[01:16:36] I did.

[01:16:37] You didn't read the word new, which is very important in my name.

[01:16:42] Sure.

[01:16:43] New Tales of the Borderlands by Nave.

[01:16:47] Anything else?

[01:16:48] Oh, Chris disappeared when I was off screen.

[01:16:50] Oh, whoa, what the fuck?

[01:16:53] Where did this go?

[01:16:55] Whoa, whoa, whoa.

[01:16:56] There he is.

[01:16:56] I just looked up and Chris was gone.

[01:16:58] I was like, what?

[01:16:58] What a handsome dude.

[01:17:00] His headphones are on so he's getting more light.

[01:17:02] He's getting more drinking.

[01:17:03] Yo, it's the ghost of Dave is slowly picking us off.

[01:17:07] The fucking dirty ghost on.

[01:17:10] The episode of Dave is so angry at.

[01:17:12] He had to get his poltergust and suck him up.

[01:17:15] Yep.

[01:17:16] The episode title should just be Final Destination.

[01:17:21] The final Destination.

[01:17:23] The final Destination.

[01:17:24] The final Destination.

[01:17:24] They are making a sixth one pretty soon.

[01:17:26] Oh, God.

[01:17:26] Final Destination.

[01:17:27] Wow, you really worked for that one.

[01:17:30] Yeah.

[01:17:30] I'm like Spider-Man holding in front of the fucking...

[01:17:34] Just holding the joke together.

[01:17:37] Oh, God.

[01:17:39] Fucking pulled my shoulder muscle doing that bit.

[01:17:42] Fucking trolling.

[01:17:43] Dude, let's go.

[01:17:44] The audio listeners don't get any of that.

[01:17:46] Here's the thing.

[01:17:47] I would have picked something different for this category.

[01:17:54] But for...

[01:17:55] Let me explain Hellblade.

[01:17:57] Starting out strong.

[01:17:58] Yeah, please.

[01:17:59] I know that this game is on Game Pass.

[01:18:03] I understand this.

[01:18:06] However, I feel bad for anybody that would have paid full price for this game.

[01:18:12] Because I was hype as fuck for this game.

[01:18:15] Like I was genuinely hype as fuck for it.

[01:18:19] And...

[01:18:19] The beginning was pretty strong.

[01:18:22] But then as the game went on, I was like...

[01:18:25] This game is boring as fuck.

[01:18:27] Like it doesn't have that charm of EDF, which just makes it great.

[01:18:32] EDF?

[01:18:32] That's what we're bringing up to fucking talk about Hellblade?

[01:18:35] Well, EDF is like the original...

[01:18:37] It's the original bug killing game.

[01:18:39] And it was much more entertaining.

[01:18:42] Bug killing?

[01:18:43] Sorry.

[01:18:45] What are we talking about right now?

[01:18:47] Helldivers!

[01:18:49] I'm thinking of the wrong game, Troy.

[01:18:51] I know.

[01:18:51] I got you.

[01:18:52] No, I'm figuring it out.

[01:18:54] We solved the mystery.

[01:18:56] Bill's a lightweight.

[01:18:57] It was already ripped shit.

[01:18:58] No, no, no, no.

[01:18:59] I had a couple before we even started.

[01:19:02] You haven't even had alcohol.

[01:19:03] I already finished my gym.

[01:19:04] I love how every time Bill said something, everybody was just like...

[01:19:08] The fuck is he talking about?

[01:19:09] I straight up...

[01:19:10] It's funny because...

[01:19:12] No, it's my scream to the side.

[01:19:15] EDF!

[01:19:17] EDF!

[01:19:19] Whoa!

[01:19:20] No wonder.

[01:19:22] I thought we were talking about Helldivers.

[01:19:23] This is why I don't drink in front of you guys.

[01:19:25] I thought we were talking about Helldivers.

[01:19:27] I was also so fucking confused.

[01:19:29] I was like...

[01:19:31] You're forgetting.

[01:19:33] I don't remember Senua having a fucking blaster and aliens coming down the sky.

[01:19:39] It's the same name!

[01:19:40] Remember when Senua like stabbed that giant bug with the sword?

[01:19:43] It was awesome.

[01:19:44] All right.

[01:19:45] We're making fun of Bill, but we're forgetting that he just had a 16 ounce glass of straight gin and ice.

[01:19:52] No, no, that wasn't not straight gin.

[01:19:53] That was definitely kind of something.

[01:19:55] That's not what I saw.

[01:19:57] Hey!

[01:19:59] On the rocks, baby.

[01:20:00] I'm just kidding.

[01:20:01] Go defend whatever the hell you're gonna say.

[01:20:05] Hellblade 2, I feel.

[01:20:07] Hellblade 2.

[01:20:08] Yeah.

[01:20:09] Yeah.

[01:20:10] I don't know, man.

[01:20:12] There was just something about it that like...

[01:20:16] I didn't feel like it was a good game.

[01:20:18] I just thought it was like...

[01:20:20] And it was hyped up as like this crazy thing.

[01:20:23] Help, help, help!

[01:20:24] And it like...

[01:20:26] I don't know.

[01:20:27] He's being fucking mauled by his dog.

[01:20:32] It's like in Hellblade when you get mauled by the enemy.

[01:20:35] He's a good boy, leave him alone.

[01:20:37] I just want to play EDS.

[01:20:39] My mouth.

[01:20:40] Ew.

[01:20:40] Ew.

[01:20:43] But yeah, I just...

[01:20:44] I don't know.

[01:20:46] I'd say about halfway through the game, I was just waiting for it to be over.

[01:20:53] So I don't...

[01:20:54] Did anybody else play Hellblade?

[01:20:56] No.

[01:20:57] Apparently not.

[01:20:59] I liked...

[01:21:00] I liked...

[01:21:02] I haven't played EDF.

[01:21:04] I played Helldivers.

[01:21:06] Yeah.

[01:21:07] I played through Hellblade 2.

[01:21:09] Yeah, I was hyped for it because I played through Hellblade 1 and loved it.

[01:21:13] Like I think Hellblade 1 is like a fantastic video game.

[01:21:17] Yeah, I thought so too.

[01:21:19] Hellblade 2, it doesn't hit the same.

[01:21:21] That's true.

[01:21:22] It has a bigger budget, which you can see.

[01:21:24] You know, like the graphical quality is great.

[01:21:27] And Melissa Juergens just like the last time does a fantastic performance.

[01:21:30] Well, she just won an award for that.

[01:21:32] Yeah.

[01:21:32] And it was much deserved.

[01:21:34] Back to back awards.

[01:21:35] But yeah, kind of the issue with Hellblade 2 is the way Hellblade 1 ends.

[01:21:41] It's like, how do you do a sequel to this?

[01:21:44] You know?

[01:21:45] And to their...

[01:21:46] Sure.

[01:21:47] And to their credit, they tried.

[01:21:49] But yeah, I think the story is okay, but it doesn't hit as strong as the first one.

[01:21:54] And like everything the second game does that the first game does.

[01:21:58] It's like diminishing returns.

[01:21:59] It just doesn't hit the same way, you know?

[01:22:03] I still can't stop laughing about EDF.

[01:22:09] I'm sorry, Phil.

[01:22:10] That was so good.

[01:22:11] It was good.

[01:22:11] I can see where he was because Helldivers, you know?

[01:22:14] It's Helldivers 2.

[01:22:15] I don't know why.

[01:22:16] Helldivers 2.

[01:22:17] Hellblade 2.

[01:22:17] I saw Hell in 2 and I just kind of, my brain went to the game I know.

[01:22:21] Yeah.

[01:22:21] You know how like you can have the beginning and the end of the word, like, and then scramble

[01:22:25] everything in the middle and it doesn't, and you can still read it?

[01:22:27] Yeah.

[01:22:28] So I played...

[01:22:29] I played Helldivers.

[01:22:31] I didn't play Hellblade, so my brain just kind of went to the game.

[01:22:35] Well, it's the Snoop Dogg song, so you're having Game Awards.

[01:22:37] Yeah, Genergy's Game Awards.

[01:22:38] It's actually mixed with a ghost energy, so I don't know how that went.

[01:22:40] I've never seen so many nerds not know what to do with their hands.

[01:22:43] Jesus Christ.

[01:22:44] But yeah, like Hellblade 2...

[01:22:48] Phil, are you good?

[01:22:49] What's happening?

[01:22:50] I'm good.

[01:22:51] I'm good.

[01:22:51] He's responding to Jerry.

[01:22:52] Jerry made a joke about my hands.

[01:22:54] I was doing the Talon Diggah Knights thing.

[01:22:56] I think Dave's about to pick him off.

[01:23:01] We are trapped right now.

[01:23:03] Yeah, I can't imagine paying like 60 or 70 bucks for Hellblade 2, but I think it gets

[01:23:08] a pass because it is in-game pass.

[01:23:12] True.

[01:23:13] And I feel like...

[01:23:13] I kind of thought that this would give me disqualify.

[01:23:16] And I feel like...

[01:23:17] For just for it, that's why he feels like he got cheated.

[01:23:20] It doesn't matter that he got thousands of free games.

[01:23:22] Well, if you paid like the...

[01:23:22] No.

[01:23:23] Yeah, like if you paid the like 20 bucks for game pass...

[01:23:26] I would argue that Hellblade is an experience.

[01:23:30] Yeah.

[01:23:31] And not only is it a very...

[01:23:33] It's a very unique experience.

[01:23:35] It is also a technical showcase.

[01:23:38] Yeah.

[01:23:38] And I think that that's primarily what Microsoft wanted from them, is from Ninja Theory is

[01:23:42] to make a technical showcase for their new hardware.

[01:23:44] And it came out way too late.

[01:23:46] But it still came out.

[01:23:47] And it's goddamn late.

[01:23:50] Four years too late?

[01:23:51] Well, because they showed...

[01:23:52] It was the first game they showed off when they unveiled the Series X.

[01:23:56] But...

[01:23:56] It is still beautiful.

[01:23:58] Like...

[01:23:58] Oh yeah.

[01:23:58] Yeah.

[01:23:59] It looks incredible.

[01:24:00] It's one of the...

[01:24:01] I don't...

[01:24:01] I'm not a...

[01:24:02] I'm not really a graphics guy.

[01:24:03] I'm an art direction guy.

[01:24:05] But even in Hellblade, I was like...

[01:24:07] At the very beginning, I'm walking around the beach and I'm like looking at the water

[01:24:10] of coming up on the rocks.

[01:24:11] I'm like, this looks unnecessarily good.

[01:24:15] Like why...

[01:24:16] No one sees this but me and like 10 other people.

[01:24:20] Why did they try so hard on the rocks?

[01:24:22] Like the water going into the rocks?

[01:24:24] And I'm like...

[01:24:26] It...

[01:24:26] Like I can make an argument...

[01:24:28] Did it look as good as the water in Wave Race 64?

[01:24:30] Nothing will ever look as good as the water in Wave Race 64, my friend.

[01:24:34] That is the best water.

[01:24:34] But that's art direction!

[01:24:35] That's art direction!

[01:24:37] See, I would argue the water in Wave Race Blue Storm looks better.

[01:24:40] I mean it...

[01:24:42] So...

[01:24:42] Honestly, Wave Race 64 has the best water ever.

[01:24:45] I think...

[01:24:45] I just want to jump on top of it.

[01:24:47] Have you played Sea of Thieves?

[01:24:48] Oh, that's a good one.

[01:24:49] Yes.

[01:24:49] I don't think...

[01:24:50] Wave Race still wins.

[01:24:51] But like, I can make an argument that Hellblade 2 is probably the...

[01:24:54] Like as far as graphics fidelity, the best looking game I've ever played.

[01:24:57] That's cool but it's on Game Pass.

[01:24:58] I would drown in the water of Sea of Thieves.

[01:25:00] Why pay money for it once on Game Pass?

[01:25:02] It's only available on two platforms.

[01:25:04] Both of which you can get Game Pass on.

[01:25:06] Just subscribe to Game Pass for a month for like $5 or $10.

[01:25:10] And then...

[01:25:10] And that's why I wanted to say my piece.

[01:25:12] That's because I'm eliminating my own thing.

[01:25:15] That's why I wanted to say that Hellblade 2 thought this was going to be a short and

[01:25:20] quick thing and I completely derailed it from the start.

[01:25:22] No, no.

[01:25:22] It did not.

[01:25:23] It's the honorable thing to do.

[01:25:25] Yeah.

[01:25:27] Alright, who's next?

[01:25:27] Okay.

[01:25:28] So, Breck, I want to know what the fuck you were thinking about Bill by putting Super

[01:25:34] Mario Wonder on this list.

[01:25:36] Oh shit.

[01:25:37] It's a hot take, isn't it?

[01:25:38] It is a hot take.

[01:25:39] And I'm not afraid to say, I thought it was boring as fuck.

[01:25:42] Isn't that what it is?

[01:25:44] Honestly, honestly, I kind of agree.

[01:25:47] I bought that game, played it, everyone hyped the fuck out of it like it was the greatest

[01:25:52] thing ever.

[01:25:53] I feel like I was gas lit with Mario Wonder.

[01:25:56] Yeah!

[01:25:56] Were you too?

[01:25:56] People were acting like it was the greatest Mario game ever made.

[01:25:59] I played them like this is just slightly more interesting new Super Mario Bros, which I

[01:26:03] don't really like the game.

[01:26:03] And people were like, this is the best like 2D Super Mario game since like Mario World.

[01:26:08] And it's like, well, that's kind of a low bar.

[01:26:10] I'm sorry, you're laughing in the background.

[01:26:13] Yeah, like, does he can hear us?

[01:26:16] He's probably taking a piss right now and he's just like going all over the time.

[01:26:21] He's playing, he's playing sink the boat.

[01:26:25] It's just like EDF.

[01:26:28] It's just like EDF.

[01:26:30] I can hear you in there.

[01:26:32] I had some fun.

[01:26:34] He was pissing.

[01:26:36] I knew he was.

[01:26:37] Were you playing sink the boat?

[01:26:39] No, I was playing please don't piss on the floor because I'm laughing now and I'm trying

[01:26:43] to control the stream like it's Ghostbusters.

[01:26:45] Did you win or did you lose?

[01:26:46] I lost a little bit.

[01:26:47] I drank quite a bit of these.

[01:26:49] Yeah, Molly took some friendly fire.

[01:26:51] Your dog will clean it up.

[01:26:51] It's fine.

[01:26:52] Yeah, it's what the Swiffer wet jets are for, you know?

[01:26:54] That's what the dog.

[01:26:55] Oh, your dog.

[01:26:55] Oh, what's that?

[01:26:59] I've been around dogs.

[01:27:00] They'll look up anything.

[01:27:02] Oh, hell yeah.

[01:27:03] Yingling.

[01:27:05] Mario.

[01:27:07] Mario.

[01:27:08] I just.

[01:27:09] People.

[01:27:10] Speaker piece.

[01:27:10] This is a case of like the internet hyping everything up and then like you play it

[01:27:15] and you're like, I don't get it.

[01:27:17] Like, what was the big deal?

[01:27:18] Like, like, like saying it was the best 2D Mario games since Mario World is like a low

[01:27:24] bar.

[01:27:25] Honestly, if we really think about it.

[01:27:27] Says the Sonic fan.

[01:27:29] Shut up.

[01:27:30] Sonic Superstars was better.

[01:27:31] I said it.

[01:27:32] Honestly, I like Super.

[01:27:33] I like Sonic Superstars more and that game frustrated the shit out of me at points.

[01:27:37] But like with Mario wonder it to me, it just felt like a slightly glossed up new Super

[01:27:44] Mario Brothers.

[01:27:45] It's like people were losing their goddamn minds over.

[01:27:48] So they're doing something different.

[01:27:49] And it's like, it's like a half step towards different.

[01:27:53] Like, it's not different enough.

[01:27:55] I mean, yeah, the elephants cute.

[01:27:56] Cool.

[01:27:57] But like, it feels like a lot of the gimmicks it introduces are incredibly shallow, which

[01:28:01] for Mario is kind of surprising.

[01:28:04] You know, it was pretty good.

[01:28:06] But it's fine.

[01:28:07] It's not a bad game.

[01:28:09] I just thought it was like, I'm like, this is like, what's its Metacritic right now?

[01:28:13] Let me find out.

[01:28:14] It's higher than 89.

[01:28:15] I have the night game.

[01:28:16] Way too, way too goddamn high.

[01:28:18] Let's see.

[01:28:19] It's a 92.

[01:28:20] This game is not a 92.

[01:28:22] No.

[01:28:22] It is not a 92.

[01:28:23] Wait, what is Astro Bot's Metacritic?

[01:28:24] Like a 94.

[01:28:26] That's old.

[01:28:27] It deserves it.

[01:28:28] I haven't played Astro Bot, I can't say.

[01:28:29] Definitely deserves it.

[01:28:30] Astro Bot is like one of the, I'm not even kidding.

[01:28:33] Astro Bot is one of the best games I think I've ever played in my life.

[01:28:36] Like, it's that good.

[01:28:37] I was just going to make a joke.

[01:28:39] I worry about what Astro Bot will do to Sony.

[01:28:40] It's better than any Mario game.

[01:28:41] I got a little worried about it.

[01:28:42] Yes.

[01:28:43] Well, I actually appreciate what Astro Bot might do to Sony.

[01:28:47] That's my whole thing.

[01:28:49] With Astro Bot, I'm just worried Sony's going to take the wrong lesson from it.

[01:28:53] We'll see.

[01:28:54] Well, Sony will.

[01:28:55] People love Astro Bot.

[01:28:56] Every moment they could, they will.

[01:28:58] They crave Astro Bot.

[01:28:59] They want it on everything.

[01:29:00] Anyway, Super Mario Wonder.

[01:29:02] Yeah.

[01:29:02] I kind of regretted buying that at full price.

[01:29:06] I hated it.

[01:29:08] It felt wrong.

[01:29:10] And it was artificially padded.

[01:29:12] I didn't like it.

[01:29:13] Like, like I love Mario, like, and like I've played and beaten every other 2D Mario game,

[01:29:19] but I have not had a desire to play wonder since it came out, dude.

[01:29:23] I've just not wanted to play it, which I feel says a lot for a series that like I'll replay Mario 3 till the day I die.

[01:29:30] You know, I've got a, I've got a, I've got a good, a good point for Diablo 4 though.

[01:29:35] So hear me out.

[01:29:36] Hear me the fuck out boys.

[01:29:38] So Diablo 4 is a great game.

[01:29:41] Lots to it.

[01:29:43] But like after a while before the DLC or not the DLC, the, uh, the season started ramping up.

[01:29:48] It was just boring as shit.

[01:29:49] So once you beat the game.

[01:29:51] So it was Diablo 3.

[01:29:52] Basically like once you, it was like every Diablo game.

[01:29:55] And you've seen all of the end game content, which there isn't a lot of.

[01:30:00] That's pretty much it.

[01:30:02] You got maybe like 30, 40 hours out of it.

[01:30:05] Uh, but then Microsoft is like, Hey, we're going to buy my Blizzard Microsoft.

[01:30:11] And then like maybe what?

[01:30:13] Four months after Diablo 4 came out, they put it on game pass.

[01:30:16] So it's like, fuck, I should have fucking waited to buy it to not buy this game.

[01:30:19] I could have waited four months and gotten that shit for free, man.

[01:30:23] Yeah.

[01:30:24] And I got it for free on game pass.

[01:30:26] And it's, and it's great.

[01:30:27] It's a fucking, I got it for like 20 bucks on Xbox.

[01:30:30] And I bought it on Steam Deck.

[01:30:32] Basically MMO.

[01:30:33] That's an interesting way to, that's an interesting way to phrase it.

[01:30:36] I like that.

[01:30:36] I like that.

[01:30:37] I'm pissed.

[01:30:38] I bought it for full price and was like, Hey, it's Diablo 3 again.

[01:30:41] Cool.

[01:30:41] It's more than Diablo 3 though.

[01:30:43] Have you, have you played any of the, um, the new seasons or the end game content?

[01:30:47] I haven't played any DLC yet.

[01:30:48] It's so much better than Diablo 3, man.

[01:30:51] It's best in the series.

[01:30:52] Probably.

[01:30:55] Yeah.

[01:30:55] See, this is the first game where I've experienced playing on my Xbox, turning it off and continuing

[01:30:59] on my Steam Deck.

[01:31:00] I fucking love that.

[01:31:02] Yeah, man.

[01:31:03] So I can't, I can't put it on this list cause I haven't beaten it, but I think it's an awesome

[01:31:09] game.

[01:31:10] Uh, there, there could be more content to it, like more end game content than there is.

[01:31:15] Cause it all the end game content revolves around is just grinding dungeons over and over

[01:31:19] and over trying to get your, your end game set basically and maximize your damage output

[01:31:25] and all this shit, your abilities.

[01:31:27] And then you start a new character and you do the same goddamn thing over and over and over.

[01:31:31] And, uh, and again, I paid 70 bucks for that when it came out for game pass four months

[01:31:36] later.

[01:31:37] Same.

[01:31:41] Hmm.

[01:31:41] So horizon.

[01:31:44] What's up with horizon.

[01:31:45] My issue with it is that it's a prime example of what Sony has been doing for the last few

[01:31:51] years, which is porting PS4 games to PS five and like forcing people to pay full or close to full

[01:31:58] price for it when it's already playable, say at 60 FPS.

[01:32:01] And with all the upgrades on your PS five.

[01:32:04] So it feels completely useless.

[01:32:06] And it feels like Sony is like scamming their audience and just trying to get as much money

[01:32:11] out of them by being like, Oh, here's this remaster of a game.

[01:32:14] You can technically already play on there.

[01:32:16] So there's really not even that old for it.

[01:32:17] Yeah.

[01:32:18] So it's like, I mean, it could have been like any of the recent remasters, but that was

[01:32:21] like the first one I thought of.

[01:32:23] Cause I remember when that got in or when that got leaked, um, like people were trashing

[01:32:29] it immediately.

[01:32:30] They're like, this is fucking stupid.

[01:32:31] And I think Sony wanted it to be a bigger deal because remember when they unveiled Lego

[01:32:35] horizons, right?

[01:32:37] They made that the big deal.

[01:32:38] And we're like, Oh, zero dawn's also coming to PS five.

[01:32:41] They kind of downplayed it.

[01:32:42] Cause they knew people were like, this is really fucking stupid.

[01:32:44] And it's just cause it is like, regardless of the quality of the game, like horizons fine,

[01:32:49] but like doing what they did with it, it just feels completely pointless.

[01:32:53] And Sony keeps doing this and I don't like it.

[01:32:56] It was like that one.

[01:32:58] There's a couple of things part two are the most like,

[01:33:00] like last of us part two is also really bad one.

[01:33:02] Like you could have thrown that one in there.

[01:33:04] Like any of them really.

[01:33:05] Yeah.

[01:33:06] I think that one was worse than horizon because for horizon, if you have the game digital

[01:33:10] already, just pay 10 bucks, you get the upgrade.

[01:33:12] Fine.

[01:33:12] Fuck it.

[01:33:13] That's fine.

[01:33:14] What I don't like is that they did a whole physical version of it and you have to pay

[01:33:19] full price for it instead of just being like, Oh, 20 bucks, get the fucking game.

[01:33:23] That's kind of, that was up.

[01:33:25] No, that would have been great.

[01:33:26] Well, uh, horizon.

[01:33:29] Cause honestly, the only PlayStation people that haven't played horizons are the new

[01:33:33] covers.

[01:33:33] Everybody's fucking played the original horizon.

[01:33:35] Yeah, exactly.

[01:33:35] Yeah.

[01:33:36] Because it's been free on, on PlayStation plus and you know, the copies are like 10 bucks

[01:33:41] a piece.

[01:33:42] So who can't fucking afford a copy of her eyes?

[01:33:44] Exactly.

[01:33:45] Which is why you're better off getting like a used $5 copy of it, putting in your PS

[01:33:49] five, paying that 10 bucks for the upgrade and bada boom.

[01:33:51] You're done.

[01:33:52] Sony did raise the price of horizon zero dawn before the remaster.

[01:33:59] Yeah.

[01:34:01] It's just, it's just, it's exemplary of Sony's like dirty business tactics recently that I

[01:34:06] don't like because the competition is kind of just putting everything on their fucking

[01:34:10] console anyways.

[01:34:11] Like they're not going to stop doing it.

[01:34:14] Well, I'm here to tell you though, that 2025 or 2026, whenever that new naughty dog game

[01:34:20] comes out is going to be the year that they turn things around.

[01:34:22] Cause Trent and Reznor making a soundtrack is going to save the company.

[01:34:25] Hands down.

[01:34:26] I don't know about that game, man.

[01:34:28] I don't know.

[01:34:28] And I still wouldn't buy that shit.

[01:34:30] The vibes off to me.

[01:34:30] I don't know why.

[01:34:31] I'm happy.

[01:34:32] It's not over the last of us.

[01:34:33] I'm happy that it's not realistic.

[01:34:37] It's like they can do anything in that world.

[01:34:40] And the thing that they showed us was just guardians of the galaxy with a bunch of product

[01:34:45] placement.

[01:34:45] And I'm like, this is kind of scary.

[01:34:48] Just like to me, it feels like we've already done this.

[01:34:51] Watch Jack and Daxter show up on this game.

[01:34:53] And it'd be like Jack and Daxter.

[01:34:55] They don't know how to make that anymore.

[01:34:59] When they, last time they tried, they made the last of us.

[01:35:01] Can you imagine a real mistake?

[01:35:03] A fucking Jack and Daxter with like hair textures and like-

[01:35:06] No, it's the, it's the last of us, but it's Jack trying to save Daxter.

[01:35:10] Cause Daxter has the fucking cure.

[01:35:12] The Daxter of us.

[01:35:13] Hang on.

[01:35:14] Was it, was that-

[01:35:15] We need to eliminate some shit, man.

[01:35:19] We gotta get some shit going.

[01:35:21] Well, well, well, Chris hasn't rise of the road.

[01:35:23] I don't even know what the fuck that is.

[01:35:24] I haven't gone yet either.

[01:35:26] Yeah.

[01:35:26] We need to hear it from Nave and Chris.

[01:35:28] So are we okay with eliminating New Tales from the Borderlands?

[01:35:31] Everyone just started screaming about Super Mario for like an hour.

[01:35:35] Yeah.

[01:35:35] New Tales from the Borderlands can fuck off.

[01:35:39] I don't even know what New Tales from the Borderlands is.

[01:35:41] Wait, like eliminate it or it's a terrible game.

[01:35:43] I don't even know what it is.

[01:35:44] No, we can eliminate it because you complained about it last year.

[01:35:48] Did you bring up this game last year too?

[01:35:50] Oh shit.

[01:35:51] You bring it up always.

[01:35:52] I hate this game.

[01:35:54] We all know you hate this game.

[01:35:56] Well, I specifically tried to beat it this year and I couldn't.

[01:36:00] I like physically couldn't bring myself to do it.

[01:36:02] Wow.

[01:36:02] I guess I'm not talking about this now.

[01:36:04] But there's never been something so physically revolting as this, the writing in this fucking game.

[01:36:11] And the things that they did to the legacy character in From Tales from the Borderlands, which is Reese, who they turn into a fucking cuck piece of shit.

[01:36:20] He's like a fucking douchebag, like corporate loser fucker.

[01:36:25] And he's like, he was a fucking chill dude in the first game.

[01:36:28] I want to find the people.

[01:36:31] And I'm already mad from losing twice in a row now.

[01:36:33] Are you?

[01:36:34] I couldn't tell.

[01:36:36] I want to find the writer and I want to push them down.

[01:36:40] I want to push them down.

[01:36:41] I want to push them down.

[01:36:42] I want to push them down.

[01:36:42] Push them down the animal well.

[01:36:44] Well, no.

[01:36:44] I want to physically with my hands, push them down so hard that when they hit the ground, they break apart like how Mega Man dies.

[01:36:53] I want to push them down so hard.

[01:36:56] Like a Mega Man spike.

[01:36:57] Boo, boo, boo.

[01:36:58] I want the sound effect to happen.

[01:37:00] I want to push them down so hard that the earth starts spinning slightly faster and it ruins the human race because now GPS doesn't work anymore.

[01:37:10] And now like we have to acclimate to slightly more momentum and speed that all of the structural integrity of the fucking buildings that we have or skyscrapers are now insufficient because the world is spinning faster.

[01:37:23] I want to push that person down that hard when they hit the ground.

[01:37:27] You know what I'm going to have to pay $69 for?

[01:37:29] A new plugin that gets rid of like explosions in vocals so that I can tame your voice when I edit this.

[01:37:38] I can't do it.

[01:37:39] Hey, Jerry, since you already edited last year's episode, just take the audio from Nave doing the exact same verbatim rant and plug it in.

[01:37:48] It's the exact same rant from last year word by word.

[01:37:52] You're murdering him.

[01:37:53] Jesus.

[01:37:53] There's no way.

[01:37:54] There's no way it's the same.

[01:37:55] Because I only played like 40 minutes whenever I...

[01:38:00] Now you've played 40 hours.

[01:38:02] No, dude.

[01:38:03] Well, no, I played two and a half hours and I had to stop because that was my horror game of October.

[01:38:09] Because I did that to myself for the horror game month.

[01:38:13] And I couldn't do it.

[01:38:15] Tales of the Borderlands for a horror game?

[01:38:16] It's that bad!

[01:38:18] It's that bad!

[01:38:20] It's so bad!

[01:38:21] I love that you put Rage Knave right before he screamed.

[01:38:24] I can't!

[01:38:27] I can't!

[01:38:29] Okay, Chris, what's wrong with Rise of the Revenant?

[01:38:32] I paid $70 for it.

[01:38:35] I put it on my shelf.

[01:38:36] I had nothing to play one day.

[01:38:38] I'm like, cool, I'm gonna play it.

[01:38:41] It plays fine.

[01:38:42] It's a competent game.

[01:38:45] I was 40 hours in, in the second island.

[01:38:48] And I'm like, cool, I gotta be close to the end of the game.

[01:38:51] Nope, a whole other fucking island showed up.

[01:38:53] So who knows how else long I had left in that game.

[01:38:56] I did every single mission up until that point.

[01:38:59] The combat didn't change.

[01:39:01] It stayed the same the entire time.

[01:39:02] And it was fucking boring.

[01:39:04] The characters were boring as shit.

[01:39:07] And on top of that, the story was nonsense.

[01:39:09] Like, out of nowhere, all of these characters would meet up,

[01:39:12] start talking about some bullshit, go do a mission.

[01:39:15] Then a couple of minutes later, you would all meet up,

[01:39:18] and they would all introduce themselves to each other again.

[01:39:20] Like, they hadn't just done a mission together

[01:39:22] and known each other for years.

[01:39:23] The game fucking sucks.

[01:39:26] It is fucking terrible.

[01:39:27] If they would have made it like 20 hours long,

[01:39:30] it would have been fine.

[01:39:31] But I don't know.

[01:39:33] It's got like fucking 70 hours long worth of content,

[01:39:36] and it's all fucking boring.

[01:39:39] And like some major characters that you meet at the beginning,

[01:39:42] like die early on, and they're never mentioned again.

[01:39:45] Like, and what they did means nothing

[01:39:48] because it affects the story in no way

[01:39:49] because the story is fucking nothing.

[01:39:52] It is a story just for the sake of having a story,

[01:39:54] and they might as well just be like,

[01:39:56] blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

[01:39:58] Go kill people.

[01:40:00] End of the story. We did it!

[01:40:02] We did it!

[01:40:03] And the next fucking island.

[01:40:04] I fucking hate that game so much.

[01:40:06] It is so bad.

[01:40:08] Fuck rice of the road.

[01:40:10] Damn.

[01:40:12] All right. That's a strong case.

[01:40:14] This is tough, man.

[01:40:18] This is tough.

[01:40:19] I'll say they're all contenders, I think.

[01:40:23] Wait, did Jerry have one?

[01:40:24] I don't know.

[01:40:24] Jerry had no remember.

[01:40:27] He had EDF.

[01:40:28] Yeah, EDF.

[01:40:30] Yeah, EDF.

[01:40:31] Aaron, I love you, buddy, but I feel like yours is almost disqualifiable based on why-

[01:40:39] For the same reason.

[01:40:40] For the same reason.

[01:40:41] Because now it's on Game Pass.

[01:40:42] Yeah, but that's the whole point.

[01:40:43] Like, I can't believe I paid-

[01:40:44] Well, it's always been on Game Pass.

[01:40:45] I can't believe I paid full price for-

[01:40:46] It brings the value of Game Pass down!

[01:40:48] It does not.

[01:40:49] No, it was always on Game Pass.

[01:40:51] It was never not on Game Pass.

[01:40:52] No, it didn't originally come out on Game Pass.

[01:40:54] It was a price.

[01:40:55] No, it did not come to Game Pass at launch.

[01:40:57] But it was the first Activision Blizzard game to come into Game Pass once all of the Microsoft

[01:41:04] ABK legal stuff got settled.

[01:41:06] It was the first one that went in.

[01:41:07] Did I buy Diablo 4?

[01:41:07] It probably did.

[01:41:08] Yeah.

[01:41:09] Because the episode we-

[01:41:11] Oh, it's coming back to me now.

[01:41:12] That episode we did-

[01:41:13] I bought it for Phillip too.

[01:41:14] I bought it for both of us.

[01:41:15] Yeah, that episode we did with Nasty Nate, that was like a month or two before it came

[01:41:18] out on Game Pass.

[01:41:21] Yeah.

[01:41:22] I now remember.

[01:41:22] And there's so much fucking-

[01:41:23] There's so many fucking microtransactions and like-

[01:41:27] Well, man, I guess you do unlock some cool shit.

[01:41:29] You can just take mine off.

[01:41:30] I mean, I guess nowadays it's-

[01:41:32] No, it's like-

[01:41:35] Well, Aaron, it's like I think your viewpoint is valid, but I think like nowadays with it

[01:41:40] being on Game Pass, it almost like-

[01:41:42] It was worth the investment now.

[01:41:44] Like if you get it now, you're fine.

[01:41:45] Like it's worth investment now.

[01:41:47] You know what I mean?

[01:41:48] Aaron, just because you're personally victimized by Diablo 4 doesn't mean that it's bad to

[01:41:54] spend $70 on it.

[01:41:56] Sure.

[01:41:56] Take it off, yeah.

[01:41:57] I think by extension-

[01:41:58] Fuck him and we're like-

[01:41:59] I make the argument-

[01:42:02] I make the argument that by extension, Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster is also on the chopping block

[01:42:09] because of the $10 upgrade fee.

[01:42:12] Yeah, that's fair.

[01:42:13] That's fair.

[01:42:14] Which one?

[01:42:16] Horizon?

[01:42:17] Horizon of Diablo, yeah.

[01:42:18] I think it comes down to Rise of the Ronin.

[01:42:21] I think if I put-

[01:42:22] Yeah.

[01:42:22] I think if I put Last of Us Part 2, it would have been like the worst one, the more egregious

[01:42:27] of the two.

[01:42:28] As much as Knave makes a very strong case for New Tales of the Borderlands, I am pretty

[01:42:32] sure that you did bring this up last year.

[01:42:36] He did.

[01:42:37] He did.

[01:42:37] He did.

[01:42:37] But I have new-

[01:42:38] He did.

[01:42:38] I have new experiences.

[01:42:40] Get rid of it because it'll make Nathan mad.

[01:42:41] He had-

[01:42:42] Oh my god.

[01:42:44] My blood pressure's rising.

[01:42:45] It was a $60 game.

[01:42:47] You're gonna have a heart attack on screen.

[01:42:48] No, it's a telltale game.

[01:42:50] Okay, I actually looked this up because I knew that it wasn't $70.

[01:42:54] That's what we're calling it.

[01:42:54] Because this game came out before the- before it even- that was the price thing.

[01:42:58] This was an older game.

[01:42:59] But um, uh, oh my god.

[01:43:01] Well, okay, so this is what I'm saying.

[01:43:03] The Walking Dead- so the original Tales from the Borderlands was an Immaculate game.

[01:43:08] And those games were sold for like $5 an episode and there's five episodes so it's $25.

[01:43:13] This game, this piece of fucking trash that- oh, it's $40.

[01:43:17] It's sold for retail for $40.

[01:43:19] It's $20 now because they can't sell it otherwise and it's constantly going on sale.

[01:43:24] But-

[01:43:24] Either way, like we said, we changed it to-

[01:43:27] Oh duh.

[01:43:27] I can't believe I paid full price.

[01:43:29] Yeah.

[01:43:30] Right?

[01:43:30] Yeah.

[01:43:30] So it's- yeah.

[01:43:31] It's more about paying like the full price of a game instead of it being like fairly priced.

[01:43:36] And you only played like $2 of it.

[01:43:38] I think that is what irks me the worst.

[01:43:40] Is because like if you-

[01:43:40] I bought this game blind.

[01:43:41] If you look at games like mouthwashing-

[01:43:42] Mouthwashing is like fucking pennies on the dollar to buy.

[01:43:45] It's $13.

[01:43:47] Right, so like that's perfectly priced video games.

[01:43:51] Right there.

[01:43:52] That's $6 an hour.

[01:43:54] That's like a dollar an hour.

[01:43:58] That's minimum wage.

[01:44:00] But what I'm saying is that New Tales from the Borderlands, I did buy it blind.

[01:44:03] And I don't do that.

[01:44:05] I bought it because just on pure faith from the original Tales from the Borderlands.

[01:44:10] And I was like-

[01:44:10] Well, that's not a blind purchase though.

[01:44:12] Well, no, I bought it without like waiting for reviews.

[01:44:16] I bought it like without-

[01:44:18] Okay.

[01:44:18] I just- I didn't read anything because I wanted to experience it all like completely unknown.

[01:44:23] And whenever I-

[01:44:24] Gotcha.

[01:44:24] That was- if I did bring it up last time, it was because I was a lover scorned from the first hour.

[01:44:30] Imagine my disappointment if I get like three hours into the game and I feel worse now.

[01:44:38] Like I feel angrier that I spent $40.

[01:44:41] I literally in my podcast have a section called What Did Nave Buy?

[01:44:45] Because I mindlessly and carelessly throw money away on games I will never ever play.

[01:44:51] Just like Chris did with UFO 50.

[01:44:54] And I regret-

[01:44:55] Whoa, whoa, whoa.

[01:44:56] I regret New Tales from the Borderlands.

[01:44:59] That's a great investment.

[01:44:59] It's one of the only things I've ever regretted buying.

[01:45:03] I will probably never support Gearbox again because that's how angry I am.

[01:45:08] And next year when I play two more hours of this game in October to torture myself,

[01:45:13] I'm probably going to bring it up again if you invite me back.

[01:45:19] The problem is that you sound like one of my ex-girlfriends that hasn't gotten over me.

[01:45:25] It's been 10 years.

[01:45:26] High school was 18 years ago.

[01:45:28] Please let it go.

[01:45:29] This is like an I peaked in high school type of speech.

[01:45:31] Get into a healthy relationship.

[01:45:32] We just-

[01:45:35] There's so many more people better than me that you can date, Nave.

[01:45:40] Okay.

[01:45:41] Hang on.

[01:45:42] Let me-

[01:45:42] I'm flip flopping real hard.

[01:45:45] I mean, honestly, honestly, my vote to get rid of is Tales from the Borderlands.

[01:45:49] Mmm.

[01:45:50] That is mine as well.

[01:45:51] Because it's not a full price game.

[01:45:54] But he paid full price for it though.

[01:45:56] What?

[01:45:56] It was a full price game.

[01:45:58] It wasn't full price games though.

[01:46:00] We're not doing like 60 or 70 though.

[01:46:02] We're doing like full ass full price.

[01:46:04] Like he regrets paying full price for it.

[01:46:06] Yeah.

[01:46:06] Modern Telltale doesn't sell their games for $40.

[01:46:09] This game is like a premium version of this kind of game.

[01:46:12] Well, that was Randy Pitchford probably being like, no, it's worth more, pal.

[01:46:15] But he still paid full price for it.

[01:46:17] I am excited.

[01:46:18] That should make it worse!

[01:46:20] It's like, Randy Pitchford is like, here's a product that's even better than what Telltale

[01:46:24] ever could hope to achieve.

[01:46:26] And I'm signifying that by making it almost twice as much monetary value.

[01:46:32] And then they're like, it's the worst thing I've ever played!

[01:46:36] Nave, Nave.

[01:46:37] Remember last year, the Password game?

[01:46:40] I hated the Back in Password game.

[01:46:42] But the Password game had a reason to exist.

[01:46:46] But hang on.

[01:46:46] It makes sense.

[01:46:47] But the reason you won that category is because you screamed so loud that everybody was afraid to talk over you.

[01:46:54] This is literally the, this game made me angry category.

[01:47:00] This is the only one I could do it for.

[01:47:02] This is the angry category.

[01:47:03] See, if this was like the Rage Bait Award, you would have won.

[01:47:06] Absolutely.

[01:47:06] You would have won.

[01:47:07] Yeah, definitely.

[01:47:08] I'm just saying that out of all three of these games, if somebody went out and bought this, even though the game now is $20, they would be the most disappointed in this purchase.

[01:47:18] Then Rise of the Ronin and Super Mario Wonder in general.

[01:47:21] Like I think if every listener went out and bought all three of these games and played them back to back, they would be like, Nave really knows.

[01:47:27] You know what? That's a good point.

[01:47:28] That is a good point.

[01:47:29] Anybody.

[01:47:29] That's a good point.

[01:47:30] If somebody went out and bought these.

[01:47:32] Yeah.

[01:47:33] If you think about it that way.

[01:47:34] Some people might like Mario Wonder.

[01:47:36] I'm not going to be right now.

[01:47:38] A lot of people like Mario.

[01:47:40] I like Mario.

[01:47:40] To be fair, I don't hate Mario Wonder.

[01:47:43] I don't think I'd like Rise of the Ronin though.

[01:47:44] I just think I was ghost lit.

[01:47:46] I think I was gas lit.

[01:47:47] Sorry.

[01:47:48] Ghost lit.

[01:47:48] Ghost lit.

[01:47:49] Sorry, Dave.

[01:47:49] Ghost lit.

[01:47:50] Fucking gas lit by like everyone saying this is like the best fucking thing ever and I was disappointed.

[01:47:55] Yeah.

[01:47:56] Though that was my whole thing.

[01:47:57] Like it was literally a case of this game everyone was hyping the fuck out of like it was the greatest thing ever and I played it and I'm like this is just another Mario game.

[01:48:05] Like I don't see what the deal is.

[01:48:08] Call me when they do Odyssey too.

[01:48:09] I think at this point should we just vote for which one we want like which one we think should win this category as opposed to eliminating another one.

[01:48:19] So there's a fly.

[01:48:20] Zoom in around.

[01:48:20] I will caveat.

[01:48:22] I will caveat that it's okay if I lose.

[01:48:25] I am.

[01:48:26] That's not the vibe we've gotten Dave.

[01:48:28] It's out.

[01:48:29] Like I got it out.

[01:48:30] So that was therapeutic.

[01:48:32] That was cathartic.

[01:48:32] I hate this fucking game.

[01:48:34] I'll just make I'll make one point that I'm pretty sure out of all these games the only one that's still going to be full price forever is Mario wonder.

[01:48:41] That's a good point.

[01:48:43] That's also a good point.

[01:48:44] It goes on sale.

[01:48:44] But fuck that is a good point.

[01:48:47] And rise of the Ronin you can probably find for like a sale price at some point.

[01:48:51] Even if it's not a great game.

[01:48:53] Don't don't fucking buy this game.

[01:48:55] I don't buy this game.

[01:48:56] Oh my God.

[01:48:57] I'm so fucking.

[01:48:57] If you like team ninja.

[01:48:59] Don't do rise of the Ronin.

[01:48:59] If for some reason.

[01:49:01] If for any reason you like anything team ninja has ever released.

[01:49:05] Do not fucking buy rice of the Ronin.

[01:49:08] It will ruin their entire legacy.

[01:49:12] Just by playing this game.

[01:49:13] And it's fucking terrible.

[01:49:14] It's so bad.

[01:49:15] If I had to vote between these two.

[01:49:17] Like from what I'm most likely to buy it'd be super Mario wonder like the vote would be for rise of the Ronin.

[01:49:23] I mean, super Mario wonders.

[01:49:26] That's that's where I'm landing as well.

[01:49:29] I feel like I feel like rise of the Ronin might actually win this.

[01:49:34] That's fine.

[01:49:35] I'm not gonna find a win.

[01:49:38] You'll win one bill.

[01:49:41] I already want a category.

[01:49:42] I'm not even upset about that.

[01:49:46] I won my own category last year.

[01:49:49] Can we can we all agree?

[01:49:51] Rise of the Ronin is the winner of I can't believe I paid full price for this shit.

[01:49:55] Sure.

[01:49:56] I just wanted an excuse to dump on Mario wonder.

[01:50:00] It's right.

[01:50:01] This is like game of the years like therapy, you know?

[01:50:05] All right.

[01:50:06] So the winner for me, I can't believe I paid full price.

[01:50:10] Nice for this shit.

[01:50:11] 69 presented by Bill is rise of the Ronin, which was Chris's pick.

[01:50:16] Congratulations, Chris.

[01:50:18] Thank you.

[01:50:20] All right.

[01:50:21] My name to rage.

[01:50:22] Naive on here.

[01:50:26] Now this category I was a little confused on, but hopefully Naive can explain it.

[01:50:31] Yes, but before we do that, I vote with that.

[01:50:34] We take a little piss break.

[01:50:36] Yes, honestly.

[01:50:37] Yeah, that'd be fine.

[01:50:38] I have to I have to fucking rock a piss so bad I can fucking taste it right.

[01:50:42] Well, we're breaking the seal.

[01:50:43] Everybody.

[01:50:45] You already did.

[01:50:46] We heard you.

[01:50:47] Yeah, you did.

[01:50:49] Terrific.

[01:50:49] You gotta go clean up the bathroom floor.

[01:50:52] I'll clean it up afterwards, man.

[01:50:54] I'm gonna go check it up afterwards.

[01:50:56] You know that piss on my feet before?

[01:50:57] I'm gonna go check it out.

[01:50:58] You gotta make sure they're doing it first.

[01:50:59] Make sure they're doing it.

[01:51:00] I'll be back.

[01:51:03] I'll be back.

[01:51:12] All right.

[01:51:13] Next next award up is Naive's award.

[01:51:16] I didn't know what this was supposed to be.

[01:51:18] Take it away.

[01:51:20] I need I need context for this award because I don't I don't fucking get it.

[01:51:23] I got the wrong message.

[01:51:24] Final Fantasy 10.

[01:51:26] This was supposed to be the funniest game.

[01:51:28] I figured the laughing would be the thing, but the title of it is.

[01:51:42] Naive, go go through the nominations, please.

[01:51:44] Okay, I did put Brincy's Titus laugh hoping that it would like add to like,

[01:51:48] this is supposed to be funny.

[01:51:49] But anyways, number one pocket card jockey.

[01:51:53] Ride on by Aaron.

[01:51:56] Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster by Threk.

[01:52:01] Thank goodness you're here by Jerry.

[01:52:03] Halo 3 by Chris.

[01:52:05] The last bounty hunter by Bill.

[01:52:08] And like a dragon infinite wealth by Naive.

[01:52:11] We have a smorgasbord here of like different ideas.

[01:52:16] Like we're gonna this is gonna be a free for all.

[01:52:19] I don't think this one can even be disqualified.

[01:52:23] We asked you to elaborate and you were like, it is what you want it to be.

[01:52:28] To be fair, you did say that.

[01:52:31] See, I just figured laugh like funny.

[01:52:33] No, I'm pretty sure I said I don't remember.

[01:52:35] Oh, I think that is what you said.

[01:52:36] Yeah, I don't remember.

[01:52:38] Yeah.

[01:52:39] You're like, what is Naive's name?

[01:52:40] What does your thing mean?

[01:52:41] I don't remember.

[01:52:42] See, I thought I see.

[01:52:44] See, when I saw the Titus laugh, I was like, yeah, something that's like really cringy.

[01:52:48] You know, I just took it as funny.

[01:52:50] The fringe can be funny.

[01:52:51] Yeah, Napoleon.

[01:52:52] The thing is, I can.

[01:52:53] I see you're drinking 1%.

[01:52:55] Is that because you think you're fat?

[01:52:59] Gosh.

[01:53:00] That laugh makes me feel gross.

[01:53:01] I'm trying to become a game fighter.

[01:53:02] Without context and even with context, it makes me feel gross.

[01:53:05] So I put a game that makes me feel gross.

[01:53:07] Oh boy.

[01:53:08] To be fair, we played through Halo 3 and the game kept crashing and disconnecting the entire time.

[01:53:16] So it really made the experience worse.

[01:53:19] It was going to be bad regardless.

[01:53:22] I picked the cinematic masterpiece.

[01:53:24] Oh, The Last Ballet is fantastic.

[01:53:26] I picked the funny game.

[01:53:28] You didn't listen to 3DO, Aaron.

[01:53:29] Yeah, you didn't listen to the episode.

[01:53:31] I haven't had time to listen to fucking anything.

[01:53:35] All right.

[01:53:36] So the fuck you go, dude.

[01:53:36] Literally, they've been eating him shit.

[01:53:38] And his stomach is fertilizer.

[01:53:40] I want to preface.

[01:53:42] Has anyone ever heard of American Laser Games?

[01:53:44] I think I've heard you mention them on the show in previous episodes.

[01:53:47] No.

[01:53:47] Okay.

[01:53:48] So, but aside from like that, no one's ever heard of them?

[01:53:52] No.

[01:53:52] I've heard of them.

[01:53:54] Well, you're in a bubble, Thrak.

[01:53:58] I live in a bubble.

[01:53:59] That being said, American Laser Games is like digital pictures.

[01:54:03] Digital pictures if they were hilarious.

[01:54:05] Because American Laser Games are like the funniest fucking full motion video games you

[01:54:10] will ever see.

[01:54:11] Like these games are just stupid in every way, but in the best way possible.

[01:54:15] And The Last Bounty Hunter is the third game in the quote unquote Mad Dog McCree trilogy.

[01:54:21] Oh, I know these.

[01:54:23] And The Last Bounty Hunter is by far the funniest one because this the shit that happens in this

[01:54:30] game is great.

[01:54:31] Like you'll be going through a level and like if you accidentally kill like you kill like an innocent

[01:54:35] civilian, it'll cut to a random clip of like just like a woman and she'll be like, oh, you killed an innocent.

[01:54:43] But sometimes it's an Asian woman.

[01:54:45] Yeah, the Asian woman who's like, you shot an innocent bad rock.

[01:54:49] Yeah.

[01:54:50] I swear to God.

[01:54:52] But then there's another scene mid game where like you shoot this one guy and he falls into

[01:54:57] an outhouse and it just explodes.

[01:54:59] And then he comes out and goes, oh, he just comes out and goes, that was a big one.

[01:55:03] Oh my God.

[01:55:05] There's a point where you like blow up a fucking like saloon and the dude comes out like all

[01:55:10] like, like, like, like smush face, like, like Wildy Coyote and just goes, gotta light.

[01:55:16] And my favorite by far, like this character was my spirit animal is we're running.

[01:55:22] You're running through, you're running through this camp, like doing the shooting stuff.

[01:55:26] And this guy, this one guy who's the cook pops up and he goes, I didn't think the possum was that bad.

[01:55:33] No, the possum was that bad.

[01:55:37] It's funnier in context, I promise.

[01:55:39] Oh, like, so I know these Mad Dog McCree games and they are now that I know that that's what this is.

[01:55:47] Then I don't know if anybody stands a chance here.

[01:55:50] They're treasures.

[01:55:51] Maybe Aaron, because I don't know what pocket card jockey ride.

[01:55:55] Bro.

[01:55:56] Like, pocket card jockey fucks.

[01:55:58] This game fucks.

[01:55:58] Pocket card jockey is the game that Aaron made me buy and we never played.

[01:56:02] No.

[01:56:03] We made a group chat.

[01:56:05] That's an Aaron move right there.

[01:56:07] Listen.

[01:56:07] We, we picked it.

[01:56:09] We played it, Aaron, didn't we?

[01:56:10] Didn't we play it?

[01:56:11] Yeah, yeah.

[01:56:12] And then we told us, hey, hit us up anytime if you want to play.

[01:56:16] And he'd never hit us up.

[01:56:17] It's not my fault, Chris.

[01:56:18] It's yours.

[01:56:19] It's yours.

[01:56:20] March 1st, 2024, 1106 PM.

[01:56:23] I'm down to race horses sometime, says Scabzilla.

[01:56:28] Crickets.

[01:56:29] Who's that?

[01:56:30] Oh.

[01:56:31] Fucking no one said a word.

[01:56:35] Motherfuckers.

[01:56:36] So what is this game?

[01:56:37] Should we start playing it right now?

[01:56:38] We could.

[01:56:38] Okay.

[01:56:39] So what is the card jockey?

[01:56:40] What is this game?

[01:56:41] It's solitaire.

[01:56:42] It's awesome.

[01:56:43] It's fucking, it's a great game.

[01:56:44] So you're a jockey who fucking died.

[01:56:46] And then you get brought back to life and they're like, dude, you need, you're going to race

[01:56:49] horses forever for the rest of your fucking life.

[01:56:52] And it's so, how the fuck does it go?

[01:56:56] So during a race, you don't really control anything.

[01:57:01] I control the horse or anything like that.

[01:57:02] You just play these little games of solitaire and how the, how well you do in solitaire affects

[01:57:08] your horses like energy and it's, and it's, I guess, attitude throughout the rest of the

[01:57:14] race.

[01:57:14] Like if you leave too many cards on the board, when the time, cause like each, each game

[01:57:19] of solitaire, there's a timer at the top.

[01:57:20] If the time runs out and you leave cards on the board, it'll negatively affect your horse's

[01:57:25] attitude, which I'll get to in a little bit.

[01:57:28] And if you, if you call all the cards on a board before the time runs out, that that'll,

[01:57:33] that'll greatly enhance your, your horse's attitude and all that shit.

[01:57:36] But basically I just picture the horse wearing a fucking.

[01:57:41] Yeah.

[01:57:43] And then at the end of the race, after all the solitaire is done, uh, all, all the energy

[01:57:48] that you built up by playing all these games of solitaire and then your horse's mood also

[01:57:52] affects all of that.

[01:57:53] So if it, if you left too many cards on the board and you pissed it off, it's going to

[01:57:56] have fucking zero energy.

[01:57:57] But if you clear all your cards, it's going to have a shit ton of energy and you're just

[01:58:01] going to blast ass through that like final stretch.

[01:58:05] Um, and it's just great, man.

[01:58:06] The characters and they talk, they go like,

[01:58:09] Uh, and then you can, you can, you can, uh, breed horses and it is made by game freak.

[01:58:17] So you can breed horses, basically make like the perfect horse.

[01:58:20] Like horses have different abilities and shit.

[01:58:22] You can get, there's different, like, I guess breeds of, there's like brown horses.

[01:58:30] There's robot horses.

[01:58:31] There's horses with fiery manes.

[01:58:33] There's purple horses, dude.

[01:58:34] It's, it's wild.

[01:58:35] It's, it's great.

[01:58:36] Pocket car jockey.

[01:58:38] Is it, is it funny?

[01:58:40] Kind of.

[01:58:40] Yeah.

[01:58:42] I mean, is that what, what the, you know, in a meta way.

[01:58:46] Is that what the category is supposed to be?

[01:58:47] Just funny games?

[01:58:48] That's what I took it as.

[01:58:50] Okay.

[01:58:50] Well, yeah, I mean, there are parts where like, after you, after you lose a race, this

[01:58:53] little horse dude pops up and he'll be like, Hey, I saw you lost the race.

[01:58:57] Don't do that.

[01:58:58] Or he'll be like, here's how to not do that.

[01:59:01] I'm going to fucking stab you.

[01:59:02] He basically says some fucking shit.

[01:59:08] So I want to know, Thrag, why the fuck did you put Horizon Zero Dawn on this?

[01:59:13] I don't know.

[01:59:14] I just thought the whole reveal of it was funny.

[01:59:16] Isn't that the second time you put Horizon Zero Dawn?

[01:59:18] You didn't even know what the series, what the category was?

[01:59:21] Thrag, I gotta tell you, I don't, I don't feel that this game is going to hang.

[01:59:26] That's, that's fine.

[01:59:27] It's okay.

[01:59:28] Okay.

[01:59:29] Are we all okay with getting rid of this one?

[01:59:31] Yeah.

[01:59:32] Yeah.

[01:59:33] You're acting, you're acting like I put more than two seconds of thought into it.

[01:59:38] You killed an innocent bad rock.

[01:59:40] I'm seriously, I am so okay with the last bounty hunter winning this because if nobody knows

[01:59:47] what these are, which I didn't until you mentioned Mad Dog McCree, you have to see these.

[01:59:53] If you can't, if you can't emulate them or play them, however way you can play them, at

[01:59:59] least just go watch a full YouTube video.

[02:00:01] Just watch the game grumps play through.

[02:00:03] That's all you need to see.

[02:00:04] Oh my God.

[02:00:05] Like they're in, they're insane.

[02:00:07] Like, like I love this FMV time in this era of gaming because it was so fucking bad that

[02:00:16] it was so fucking good.

[02:00:18] It's great.

[02:00:18] I mean like shit like sewer shark.

[02:00:20] That was so fucking dog shit.

[02:00:23] I think what, I think what gives the Mad Dog McCree's a little bit of an edge is that

[02:00:27] you can tell like, as we said in the 3DO episode, which you all should listen to is that the

[02:00:32] tongue, their tongue is firmly in their cheek.

[02:00:35] Like they know they're being silly.

[02:00:36] Oh yeah, they fully know it's dumb.

[02:00:37] And I think it makes it better because stuff like sewer shark, like you can tell they're

[02:00:41] trying to take it a little more seriously, which in a way could make it funnier.

[02:00:45] But with the Mad Dogs, it's like the silliness and the kind of jokey like vibe of it.

[02:00:50] One of my favorite scenes in last bounty hunter is there's a guy that is on a cliff.

[02:00:54] If he literally jumps on the cliff and goes, ah, and then you shoot him and he then jumps

[02:00:58] off the cliff and goes, ah, and just jumps away.

[02:01:01] Or like, you'll shoot a guy at the top of the stairs and he'll roll down the stairs and

[02:01:05] then jump off the balcony.

[02:01:07] Or my favorite is when it's a guy that you're not supposed to shoot his way of getting you

[02:01:11] not to shoot him as he pops out of winter and goes, don't shoot, don't shoot.

[02:01:15] I just like to go through windows.

[02:01:17] So hang on.

[02:01:19] They're great.

[02:01:20] Chris, Chris, would you be okay conceding to the last bounty hunter?

[02:01:25] Yeah, because I just thought that the great the category was something that made you feel

[02:01:30] gross and all of Halo 3 games that are really fun.

[02:01:36] Play through of it was kind of great games.

[02:01:38] You had the most fun with and I fucking I love pocket card.

[02:01:41] Jockey dude.

[02:01:41] Go buy it.

[02:01:42] I love pocket card.

[02:01:43] Jockey too.

[02:01:43] I love it.

[02:01:44] At least at least you got to you got to say that, you know, that you had a lot of

[02:01:48] I can see, but it bill when you concede.

[02:01:53] Well, hang on.

[02:01:54] Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

[02:01:55] I don't know.

[02:01:56] Thank goodness you're here.

[02:01:58] And I have something to say about like a dragon.

[02:02:00] There's two here that nobody has spoken for yet.

[02:02:04] Uh, Nave, you haven't spoken for infinite wealth and I have not spoken for.

[02:02:08] Thank goodness you're here yet.

[02:02:10] Um, Nave, you can go first with infinite wealth.

[02:02:12] I'm sure that this game I watched you play some of this.

[02:02:16] The thing when he fucking whipped that crab, dude, the crawfish, which yeah, yeah, yeah.

[02:02:22] Like you, you had tears streaming down your face.

[02:02:27] You laughed so hard.

[02:02:29] It's so funny because it's like it gives you the option for no reason.

[02:02:33] It's like how hard you want to throw this crawfish and I'm just like all the way.

[02:02:38] It's like this heroic moment and then you throw it and then it just, it just.

[02:02:45] It flies way faster.

[02:02:47] It affects nothing.

[02:02:49] I'm not going to concede last bounty of it, but I will agree.

[02:02:51] Like a dragon, like just the Yakuza series in general is fucking, it's a comedy.

[02:02:55] Like, like spear.

[02:02:55] Yes.

[02:02:56] Yeah.

[02:02:57] But then the beauty about like a dragon and all the Yakuza games is that one minute you

[02:03:02] will like, I love that one video of that person playing, I think it was the first like

[02:03:06] a dragon where they like skipped a bunch of cut scenes and it started off with like

[02:03:10] this like super serious, like people are pointing guns at each other.

[02:03:14] Like fucking drama is happening.

[02:03:17] They're like, I just want to get through this.

[02:03:18] They skip through it.

[02:03:19] And then the next thing you know, they're like getting in go carts and he's like, what

[02:03:23] the fuck did I miss?

[02:03:24] What happened?

[02:03:26] How did you get from here to there?

[02:03:29] So I love that.

[02:03:30] Watch the story, man.

[02:03:32] I love that.

[02:03:32] Like the Yakuza games can be equal parts funny, but also like, I mean, last year, one

[02:03:39] of the awards was like the saddest game.

[02:03:42] And Chris and Dave both said that they wept like children.

[02:03:47] I did in two different games in two different games.

[02:03:52] Like a dragon seven does have a very emotional ending.

[02:03:55] Like, oh, my God, that's hard.

[02:03:57] Really hard.

[02:03:58] Yeah.

[02:03:59] So that's that's why I'm saying like I I am curious to hear Nave defend this one because

[02:04:07] I mean, the last bounty hunter is funny as fuck, even though I have just going by what

[02:04:13] Bill and Thrak have been saying.

[02:04:15] But I do know that the Mad Dog games are hilarious.

[02:04:20] Like everybody in this room right now would be crying laughing at this shit.

[02:04:26] Like if you were playing this shit, you would be dying at it.

[02:04:31] That said, I do still feel like there's a there's something to be said about like a dragon.

[02:04:37] There is a mini game like a dragon where it's basically Animal Crossing and it lasts about

[02:04:45] 20 ish hours to get it all done from start to finish.

[02:04:49] Yeah.

[02:04:49] Yeah. Crazy.

[02:04:50] Fucking crazy.

[02:04:51] The reward for that mini game is an orbital laser strike.

[02:04:59] I forgot about this.

[02:05:00] Yeah.

[02:05:01] Orbital laser strike.

[02:05:03] It's insane.

[02:05:04] You just have to play New Horizons, basically.

[02:05:07] Yeah.

[02:05:08] And there's the there's the there's the there's the New Horizons with garbage.

[02:05:15] And there's the there's the Pokemon Snap mini game that is just like a bunch of like naked

[02:05:20] dudes.

[02:05:21] Dudes.

[02:05:21] There are like four perverts in Hawaii and you must take pictures of them to report to

[02:05:27] the police.

[02:05:28] And that is Pokemon Snap.

[02:05:29] And you're and you're.

[02:05:30] Yeah, it's great.

[02:05:31] But to me, the funniest bit in Infinite Wealth, it's the mini game where you run into the the

[02:05:36] adult diaper guys again.

[02:05:38] And it syncs up with like the old guy.

[02:05:40] What the saddest story.

[02:05:41] It syncs up with like the old guy who like his wife is dying and she just wants to see snow

[02:05:47] again before she dies.

[02:05:48] And so you run into the adult, the adult diaper babies and they're like, hey, if we take baby

[02:05:53] powder and mix it with like water, we can make snow.

[02:05:55] And so they climb to the roof above.

[02:05:57] And then there's this.

[02:05:59] Wait, no, there's an emotional tear jerker moment happening.

[02:06:03] And there is snow outside.

[02:06:05] Like, why is it snowing?

[02:06:07] And then.

[02:06:07] Yeah.

[02:06:08] And so basically inside they're like, you know, she's like, oh, I finally get to see snow

[02:06:12] again.

[02:06:12] And it's all this.

[02:06:13] And then it cuts to the guys like like on the top of the roof saying, keep doing this.

[02:06:17] We'll be even if we're fucking naked.

[02:06:19] And then it ends with them naked laying on the roof because they're exhausted from causing

[02:06:24] all of this snow to happen.

[02:06:25] And just that dichotomy.

[02:06:27] I'm like, this is like a dragon, like right here over.

[02:06:30] Probably the funniest part, though, which was before the oh, the the the carriage, the

[02:06:35] baby carriage, they are chasing you in baby carriages.

[02:06:39] And whenever you reach the baby carriage and there's a huge adult.

[02:06:43] Oh, it's because a woman has the carriage and then it like sends in the traffic and each

[02:06:47] you let me go save it.

[02:06:49] And then you save it.

[02:06:50] And then it cuts to the dude just like like slopped in it.

[02:06:53] Like, hey, how you doing?

[02:06:54] Each one.

[02:06:56] As soon as you see that a bunch of baby carriage, like four of them go like fucking come in

[02:07:02] and power the way and stop.

[02:07:04] And then human men get out.

[02:07:07] Just like pop out.

[02:07:08] And then you have to fight them.

[02:07:10] It's so good.

[02:07:11] Yeah.

[02:07:11] And it's getting here is like a very, very worthy of this.

[02:07:15] This win right now.

[02:07:18] Another thing that I like we glossed over, like there's two things I can merge together,

[02:07:23] which was the orbital laser, orbital laser thing.

[02:07:26] You can do summons in this game and that is called pound mates in the game.

[02:07:29] We already talked about the crawfish.

[02:07:31] Her name is Nancy from the last game.

[02:07:33] Yep.

[02:07:34] She is actually whenever you complete the moat, the sub story where you throw her across the

[02:07:39] goddamn beach, you get to each.

[02:07:42] The reason why you're doing that is because there are a bunch of adult men bullying a crab.

[02:07:48] And Nancy fell in love with that crab because it has a bunch of jewelry bedazzled on the shelf.

[02:07:54] And so now you have to protect this crab and then both of them team up and do a summon for you.

[02:08:02] All of the summons are just you calling up your buddies on your cell phone and they just show up and do a move or something like that.

[02:08:10] And the fewer of the pound mates you get from like them falling in love with Ichiban and there's like a big misunderstanding and then they essentially rape him in an alley.

[02:08:19] It's implied that they raped him.

[02:08:22] Speaking of falling in love, there is a mini game where you literally do Tinder and you're fine in love.

[02:08:29] And one and half of them-

[02:08:30] Is it one of the love options a chicken?

[02:08:32] Yes!

[02:08:33] Yeah!

[02:08:33] One of them, you're literally texting and like you're flirting each other up and then when you meet, it is a chicken in a hotel room.

[02:08:43] And the chicken rapes you.

[02:08:45] You have been-

[02:08:47] You have been-

[02:08:48] You have been-

[02:08:52] Here's the thing.

[02:08:52] Let me just get this out of the way.

[02:08:54] Yeah, please.

[02:08:54] Um, I don't think that I'm gonna win this category with thank goodness you're here.

[02:09:00] However, I will say, I know a lot of the funny stuff that has to do with like a dragon.

[02:09:06] And I know I've played a lot of the Yakuza games so I understand the humor and they are extremely funny and that is like my type of humor.

[02:09:14] I also think the last bounty hunter is very worthy of this.

[02:09:19] The problem after I put this on here and I realized, thank goodness you're here, had me cry laughing.

[02:09:28] It was so funny.

[02:09:29] But the problem is, I don't want to say any of the things that made me laugh because the game is very short.

[02:09:37] And you go through this thing and you're basically just kind of walking around this town and doing things for people.

[02:09:46] And it's like, it's kind of just like an interactive cartoon in a way.

[02:09:51] And you're just doing stuff and like just the dialogue and the situations that you get yourself into are just absolutely stupidly funny.

[02:10:01] But the problem is, I don't really want to say any of the things because if anybody's listening to this part of the part of the joy of playing, thank goodness you're here is not knowing what those funny things are.

[02:10:14] I know this game because a friend of mine, she played it on stream.

[02:10:20] And what wedding what found me when I was fascinated about with this game was it's British as fuck.

[02:10:26] It is.

[02:10:27] It's very British.

[02:10:28] Dry humor.

[02:10:28] Yeah.

[02:10:29] And watching my British friends like play this game and they were just chuckling at all the little in jokes, you know, definitely enhance the experience.

[02:10:37] I mean, there's a lot of even inside jokes that most of us wouldn't get.

[02:10:41] I mean, there's at one point there's like because as you're walking around this place, there's just like people scattered around.

[02:10:47] They're like, what's this guy's deal?

[02:10:48] And you kind of like go on these little like mini side quests to try to fix their problems.

[02:10:54] And the whole point of the game is that you are sent to this town that just has all these problems going on to just kind of fix everybody's problems.

[02:11:03] And like one of the first things you see is this dude that's just like stuck inside of like a manhole.

[02:11:10] And the solution to that problem is like some big fucking huge dude just comes out and noise.

[02:11:16] Like, would you like some butter?

[02:11:17] And like he gives you some butter.

[02:11:19] And then you're like, oh, shit, I can use some butter to get this guy out of this manhole.

[02:11:23] And like on paper, that doesn't sound that funny.

[02:11:26] But the visuals themselves are fucking hilarious.

[02:11:29] Yeah, I know.

[02:11:30] I know the part you're talking about.

[02:11:31] It's pretty good.

[02:11:32] It's hilarious.

[02:11:33] I was fucking cry laughing at this game.

[02:11:36] That said, I don't think it hangs with the other two simply because I cannot defend it properly without getting into major spoils.

[02:11:45] I do think it might be as funny as both of these.

[02:11:48] But at the end of the day, I do feel like for me, my personal pick might be it might be last bounty hunter.

[02:12:07] See, my my picks probably last bounty hunter only because it's a much more condensed, funny experience.

[02:12:14] Like infinite wealth may have the better laughs, but there's like so much of that game that there are sometimes long periods where you don't have any of those like really good comedy bits.

[02:12:24] Whereas last bounty hunter is just like amusing from start to finish, you know, and it's great, like quotable lines and all that infinite wealth has all of that.

[02:12:33] But but in a way, I think like like seven was a was a little bit a little bit more memorable in the humor aspects, in my opinion.

[02:12:45] Aaron, where are you? Where were you falling?

[02:12:47] I plopped my vote into the last bounty hunter because just like Thrax said, man, it's a more condensed like it's funny all the way through.

[02:12:57] And I mean, I haven't played infinite wealth.

[02:13:00] All the shit you guys have described sounds funny and awesome.

[02:13:04] But at the same time, like it is it's it's a very strong.

[02:13:08] Yeah, it sounds funny. But like if I if I wanted to play a game purely because it's funny, I would much rather play the last bounty hunter because it's just like bam, bam, bam.

[02:13:21] Whereas infinite wealth is like here's 30 hours of emotional shit.

[02:13:27] Oh, here's the laugh. I'll toss the laugh to you.

[02:13:29] And then 30 more hours of emotional shit.

[02:13:32] Can I do a last hurrah to see if I can rally the troops?

[02:13:38] Literally, the whole the whole battle system is centered around the main character, Kasuga Ichiban, basically having undiagnosed schizophrenia where he hallucinates turn based battles.

[02:13:53] He hallucinates turn based battles and he hallucinates all the people he's fighting in the streets as basically Pokemon.

[02:14:00] By the way, there is a Pokemon mini game completely in this game as well, where you get to collect these guys that you beat up.

[02:14:08] Yeah, there's a Pokedex.

[02:14:09] You basically go, you basically go, hey, yeah, it's seven.

[02:14:14] And the like Professor O from seven shows up in eight and he's like, hey, remember me?

[02:14:19] And Ichiban's like, oh, my God, I don't remember you.

[02:14:22] Everyone from Japan is in Hawaii for no reason.

[02:14:27] And everyone's like, just awesome.

[02:14:29] Yeah.

[02:14:29] But so in the first game, it's really just a Pokedex.

[02:14:32] But in this game, you actually collect them.

[02:14:34] And the way you collect them is going, hey, I'm stronger than you.

[02:14:38] And they're like, yeah, you're right.

[02:14:40] And they just follow you.

[02:14:41] Like, really?

[02:14:43] You give them like contracts and you give them like gifts.

[02:14:46] And they're like, yeah, I guess I'll follow you around.

[02:14:48] You seem cool.

[02:14:49] You beat me up.

[02:14:50] Like Infinite Wealth is it's a very funny game and the humor is fantastic.

[02:14:54] But like, it's not a game I would recommend if somebody wants a comedy game.

[02:14:58] You know what I mean?

[02:14:59] Like Infinite Wealth is the whole experience.

[02:15:02] Like the laugh.

[02:15:03] You're missing my last hurrah.

[02:15:04] Like the jokes and the serious bits together work to create the amazing experience that it is.

[02:15:10] You know what I mean?

[02:15:11] The second part of my last hurrah is half of the game takes place with Kiryu's eyes.

[02:15:18] Kiryu does not have schizophrenia.

[02:15:20] So they're like, how do we justify this combat system with Kiryu?

[02:15:25] And the justification is, but Kiryu just kind of hung out around him too long.

[02:15:30] And now he has schizophrenia too, I guess.

[02:15:32] I don't know.

[02:15:33] And so Kiryu just also, Kiryu's like, what the fuck?

[02:15:36] Why do I see these people as crazy things?

[02:15:39] And so that's just the whole thing.

[02:15:40] See, I liked when you were doing all of his like, like getting all of his memories or whatever.

[02:15:45] And the one I'll always remember is, is him just going like, ha, I remember the good times.

[02:15:50] And it was like somebody pointing a gun at his face.

[02:15:54] Like, I really missed this moment.

[02:15:57] And it's just like first love dying in his arms.

[02:16:00] He pushes that dude off the bridge.

[02:16:02] Yeah.

[02:16:03] Like the good old days.

[02:16:03] So my vote is the last bounty hunter.

[02:16:07] Cause that's like, you know.

[02:16:09] Yeah.

[02:16:09] Nave.

[02:16:10] I don't disagree with anything you're saying, but I still feel like jokes per second.

[02:16:15] I'm going with last bounty hunter.

[02:16:17] That's just, that's just me.

[02:16:19] Well, one of the things about last bounty hunter that is great is the fact that even if you suck at the game, you're still gonna be laughing.

[02:16:24] Cause they just berate you and you fail and make fun of you.

[02:16:27] Like, like anytime you kill someone on accident, there will be a one liner in this game that will like latch on to you.

[02:16:33] And you will just love seeing it like 30 times.

[02:16:36] Also, one of the villains is called nasty.

[02:16:40] Nasty.

[02:16:41] Nasty.

[02:16:41] Well, I mean, that's the nail.

[02:16:44] Cactus kid, handsome hair, and El Loco.

[02:16:48] Look, Nave.

[02:16:49] I truly believe you might win a category tonight.

[02:16:51] I do.

[02:16:52] I believe in you.

[02:16:53] I don't know.

[02:16:54] I think my strongest was in the top half.

[02:16:58] But I think that made a good case for Chris.

[02:17:02] You didn't really say much, but like, where do you lie here?

[02:17:05] Yakuza.

[02:17:06] I knew where Chris was at.

[02:17:07] I wondered.

[02:17:08] But we were outnumbered.

[02:17:08] We're outnumbered.

[02:17:09] Yeah, we were.

[02:17:10] We were.

[02:17:10] Last bounty hunter is not a Chris game.

[02:17:13] I understand why.

[02:17:14] Probably not.

[02:17:14] It's concentrated comedy rather than like, I feel like Yakuza has higher highs in comedy probably.

[02:17:20] Oh, it probably does.

[02:17:22] I would say that for sure.

[02:17:23] Yes.

[02:17:24] But last bounty hunter is just one of those games.

[02:17:25] Last bounty hunter, it's like 90s cheesy campy kind of humor, which just tickles my funny bone.

[02:17:32] It's also one of those games where like, you'll literally be playing it and then they will say something and you'll just be like, what?

[02:17:40] Like you have to, you have to process it for a minute.

[02:17:43] You're like, did they say that?

[02:17:44] You're like, Oh, 90s casual racism.

[02:17:46] Well, I'm happy to announce that casual 90s racism has won the category.

[02:17:54] Winner of this category is the last bounty hunter nominated by Bill.

[02:18:00] Let's go before I fucking die.

[02:18:03] Shout out to 3DO.

[02:18:04] Shout out to 3DO.

[02:18:05] All right, Eric, this is your category.

[02:18:11] Okay.

[02:18:12] Sorry, I'm really fucking tired.

[02:18:16] He's struggling.

[02:18:17] He's struggling real hard.

[02:18:18] The Shin Megami Ghosts and Souls Award.

[02:18:21] Basically, just for the hardest game that you played this year, whatever.

[02:18:25] Presented by me.

[02:18:25] Who gives a shit?

[02:18:27] Cup.

[02:18:28] Thank you for clarifying, by the way.

[02:18:30] I'm surprised like nobody got.

[02:18:32] I don't know.

[02:18:32] I guess that was.

[02:18:33] I don't know.

[02:18:35] Thrax said Cuphead.

[02:18:36] Jerry said Overbold from UFO 50.

[02:18:39] Chris said Stellarblade.

[02:18:41] Bill said SOS.

[02:18:42] Dave said Hotline Miami 2.

[02:18:44] I said Bloodstained Ritual of the Night.

[02:18:46] My pick is out, dude.

[02:18:51] I didn't know that game was hard.

[02:18:53] Is it really?

[02:18:55] I mean, it's Castlevania style games.

[02:18:57] The NES game or the full fledge?

[02:19:00] The Symphony of the Night.

[02:19:00] Symphony of the Night slash Aria of Sorrow 1.

[02:19:04] Yeah, that game's not hard.

[02:19:05] There's a couple bosses where it got kind of tough, but...

[02:19:08] It's really good.

[02:19:09] You can also take...

[02:19:10] Aaron, did you take it off after you...

[02:19:13] Because you have also played Overbold.

[02:19:16] We recently shared our, I guess, grievances with Overbold and how goddamn hard it is.

[02:19:24] It is hard.

[02:19:26] I'm gonna...

[02:19:27] You've gotten to the last wave, right?

[02:19:28] I have, dude.

[02:19:28] And it's fucking nuts because there's so many enemies on screen.

[02:19:32] I have not played SOS or Stellar Blade.

[02:19:36] I have played Hotline Miami 2 and I have played Cuphead.

[02:19:39] And I fucking think Overbold is my pick because, yeah, that game's tough.

[02:19:46] There's enemies.

[02:19:47] You're in this tiny little space.

[02:19:49] Probably the space of like...

[02:19:50] I don't know, my fucking laptop.

[02:19:52] Well, what?

[02:19:52] No, I guess it is on my...

[02:19:54] I played on my laptop.

[02:19:55] I don't know.

[02:19:55] You're in a tiny space and there's enemies all over the place.

[02:19:59] And some shoot bullets at you and some just fly at you and fucking explode like those goddamn pumpkins.

[02:20:05] And your fucking gun is just this tiny little pea shooter that does nothing.

[02:20:08] It does nothing.

[02:20:10] And then...

[02:20:11] You have one hit unless you upgrade it.

[02:20:13] Yep, yep.

[02:20:15] I'm gonna just say SOS can be taken off this.

[02:20:18] I put it in here because it was legitimately the hardest game I played this year.

[02:20:21] I did not play a lot of hard games this year.

[02:20:22] My original pick...

[02:20:23] Like SOS for like SNES?

[02:20:26] SNES.

[02:20:26] It's a hard game, but it's only hard in the sense that you have to play it multiple times

[02:20:31] to figure it out before you can really...

[02:20:33] Once you know how to play it, it's pretty easy.

[02:20:36] It's one of those kind of games.

[02:20:37] It's like a Dragon's Lair.

[02:20:39] Not so much a Dragon's Lair.

[02:20:40] It's more of a...

[02:20:41] Once you understand how the game works, it's a lot more simple.

[02:20:45] Because a lot of the struggle with SOS is the fact that you're timed.

[02:20:50] Yeah, go read it as well.

[02:20:51] Kind of though.

[02:20:52] You have...

[02:20:53] I did!

[02:20:54] You could say.

[02:20:56] It's hard to explain in the blog as to playing it as well because it is a weird game to play.

[02:21:01] It's one of those things that once you figure it out, you can just blast right through it.

[02:21:05] It's not challenging at all.

[02:21:06] It's more just like...

[02:21:09] As a game itself, as a first-time player, it's not easy.

[02:21:12] What do you think SOS stands for?

[02:21:14] Save Our Ship.

[02:21:16] That's literally what it stands for.

[02:21:18] No, it doesn't stand for that.

[02:21:21] Sink or swim.

[02:21:22] Sink or swim.

[02:21:22] It doesn't stand for anything.

[02:21:23] It doesn't stand for anything.

[02:21:24] It's just...

[02:21:25] It's the easiest thing to Morse code because it's dot dot dot.

[02:21:29] Why the fuck do you know that too?

[02:21:30] I like Morse code!

[02:21:32] In the context of the game.

[02:21:34] Whatever, this is my trivia.

[02:21:36] He's trying to be all smart and stuff.

[02:21:40] We're doing a podcaster thing.

[02:21:41] Hold on a second here.

[02:21:42] Hold it.

[02:21:45] Chris, Stellar Blade.

[02:21:46] Not hard at all.

[02:21:48] Super easy fucking game.

[02:21:49] Absolutely loved it.

[02:21:51] The game made him hard.

[02:21:52] I think that...

[02:21:52] Ooh, yes.

[02:21:53] Oh!

[02:21:55] Dude!

[02:21:56] Some of the...

[02:21:57] Now it's fucking...

[02:21:58] And some of the air choices.

[02:22:00] I'm so upset.

[02:22:02] Shut up, Bill.

[02:22:02] Shut the fuck up.

[02:22:04] Shut up, Grums.

[02:22:05] Yo, Chris is a hair connoisseur as well.

[02:22:07] Holy shit, dude.

[02:22:08] Once I figured out that you can change the main character's hair to something that looks like not a 12 year old, infinitely better.

[02:22:15] Shit.

[02:22:17] Infinitely hornier.

[02:22:18] She's 19.

[02:22:19] Hell yeah.

[02:22:20] Not for me.

[02:22:21] I was like looking through the suits and I saw the ones where she's in jeans and I'm like, holy fuck, I can't play this game.

[02:22:28] I need to change it to something else.

[02:22:30] Dude, there's one with a sweater.

[02:22:31] Oh, there's a sweater and I'm like, yo.

[02:22:34] Oh no.

[02:22:35] What the fuck?

[02:22:36] I had to play that game with her in that like one black suit that looks very much like Takis.

[02:22:44] And the reason was because I was just like, I can't fucking...

[02:22:48] I can't afford to have Karen come in here and be like, what the fuck are you playing?

[02:22:52] Like, there's no way.

[02:22:54] There's no shot.

[02:22:54] I had to play it with just the one suit.

[02:22:57] And honestly, at the end of the day, like, yeah.

[02:23:00] Okay.

[02:23:00] You can pick a bunch of horny suits.

[02:23:02] But like, I found that that one, like that one in like the normal white one were more contextually accurate.

[02:23:10] Like, it doesn't make sense for her to be going around and like these fucking like school girl.

[02:23:15] No, we can't make it that way.

[02:23:16] We can't say that.

[02:23:19] It's lollipop chainsaw, you know?

[02:23:21] Like, so apart from the suits, it's really not a hard Souls-like game.

[02:23:31] It's super Souls-like.

[02:23:32] It's very easy to beat and it plays fantastic.

[02:23:36] And the music is incredible.

[02:23:38] The whole game is great.

[02:23:38] It's just the suits are horny.

[02:23:41] But apart from that, the game's not hard.

[02:23:45] So you went for this because like it's the hard dick war?

[02:23:52] Believe it or not, this is the game that I had the hardest time with and I had no hard time with it at all.

[02:23:57] So it should have been based on that alone.

[02:24:02] I think, Nave, I would like to hear.

[02:24:07] Because I've played and beaten Hotline Miami 1 and Hotline Miami 1 is hard, but I've not played 2.

[02:24:13] Is it way harder?

[02:24:15] I love Hotline Miami 1.

[02:24:17] I am going to give this to Nave.

[02:24:19] I did not finish Hotline Miami 2.

[02:24:22] It was fucking difficult.

[02:24:22] Is it that hard?

[02:24:23] It's very difficult.

[02:24:24] Hotline Miami 2 is not only difficult, but it is also unfair and it is poorly designed.

[02:24:30] Oh shit.

[02:24:30] To the point where you will constantly die hundreds of times to things that are happening off screen that you can't possibly react to.

[02:24:39] Oh.

[02:24:40] Wow.

[02:24:41] It is terrible.

[02:24:42] Wow.

[02:24:43] I don't wanna...

[02:24:45] I love this because like...

[02:24:47] That's bad.

[02:24:47] Oh, this is the thing that...

[02:24:48] I got a...

[02:24:50] The cops showed up.

[02:24:51] Because they thought I was like fighting with somebody in here.

[02:24:54] I was so fucking angry at Hotline.

[02:24:56] And I was streaming it for somebody.

[02:24:58] So I was so pissed off at this game.

[02:25:01] And the cops?

[02:25:01] Wait, I thought you meant in the game!

[02:25:03] I thought you were too!

[02:25:04] No, the cops showed up.

[02:25:05] In real life.

[02:25:06] You got like real life swatted.

[02:25:08] I live in apartments.

[02:25:09] Okay, so there's a bunch of...

[02:25:11] There's like fucking 20 people that can hear me at all times.

[02:25:14] Normally, they hear me screaming...

[02:25:15] They're like, what was he laughing about?

[02:25:18] What?

[02:25:20] Name happy?

[02:25:21] That's crazy.

[02:25:22] Send the police up there.

[02:25:24] He finally broke.

[02:25:27] My neighbors are awesome.

[02:25:28] Alright?

[02:25:28] They understand I am fucking...

[02:25:30] I have autism and I'm screaming all the time for no reason really.

[02:25:34] But this was a different kind of screaming.

[02:25:36] Over the years of...

[02:25:38] I'm like 31.

[02:25:39] Alright?

[02:25:40] I haven't gotten totally, really, actually mad at a game in a long, long time.

[02:25:46] And when I played Hotline Miami 2 for the first time this year, I...

[02:25:50] I thought I might possibly die.

[02:25:53] Because I was so fucking angry.

[02:25:55] Like, I would sometimes get so angry that I would like see spots.

[02:25:59] And I was like, I have to stop.

[02:26:01] I have to stop.

[02:26:02] I have to stop.

[02:26:02] And I have to like, drink water.

[02:26:04] Like, I have to do something different.

[02:26:06] Because it's so unfair.

[02:26:09] And it's...

[02:26:10] You know, Hotline Miami 1 is kind of unfair.

[02:26:12] Like, in a fun way though.

[02:26:14] Yeah.

[02:26:14] Right?

[02:26:15] It's doable.

[02:26:15] It's a very doable game.

[02:26:17] It's unfair and you're like, okay.

[02:26:19] That was a very annoying experience playing it.

[02:26:21] But yeah, you can beat it.

[02:26:23] When I was done, I was like, yeah, that was fun.

[02:26:26] Yeah, I beat Hotline Miami 1.

[02:26:27] There is an awesome YouTube video.

[02:26:30] It's doable.

[02:26:30] I don't remember who it is.

[02:26:32] Go ahead and talk.

[02:26:32] I'm gonna look this up.

[02:26:33] I got into to the part where you're at the jungle.

[02:26:36] The first jungle part.

[02:26:38] I stopped.

[02:26:39] Like, I couldn't figure out what the fuck to do.

[02:26:40] Like, I wouldn't tell you what to do.

[02:26:42] It wouldn't show you anything.

[02:26:43] You would just die and die and die.

[02:26:46] I'm like, I'm fucking done.

[02:26:47] I waited so long for this game.

[02:26:49] And now it just keeps killing me.

[02:26:51] Fuck this game.

[02:26:52] So the video I'm thinking of is from a YouTube channel called Grease Hole.

[02:26:57] And it says, I got both Hotline Miami Platinum trophies and it was the worst experience of my entire life.

[02:27:04] Wow.

[02:27:04] And it is predominantly because of Hotline Miami 2.

[02:27:08] Hotline Miami 1 is an excruciating Platinum trophy.

[02:27:13] But the second game...

[02:27:15] I can only imagine.

[02:27:16] The second game doesn't even make sense how painful it is.

[02:27:20] But it at the same time is still fun, unfortunately.

[02:27:24] Which just makes you more angry because you want to keep playing.

[02:27:30] But it is just so relentlessly agonizing in some parts.

[02:27:35] So here's the thing.

[02:27:36] I'll concede Overbold because I struggled a little bit with Overbold.

[02:27:41] But once I got that final run, like it clicked.

[02:27:46] That's true.

[02:27:46] Like you can kind of adjust.

[02:27:49] You can adjust the difficulty of Overbold in a way.

[02:27:52] Like essentially what you're doing is you're gambling per each wave.

[02:27:56] You get to like increase the amount of monsters and then it gives you more reward.

[02:28:01] Thus allowing you to unlock more shit, making it a little bit easier depending on a lot of different things.

[02:28:07] It's a fantastic game.

[02:28:09] And again, Chris, it's probably in the top five.

[02:28:12] You should check that one out.

[02:28:14] I have to.

[02:28:15] I have to.

[02:28:16] That said, I'm okay with getting rid of it because number one, Hotline Miami 2 sounds like a fucking goddamn shithole nightmare.

[02:28:27] It does.

[02:28:28] It's bad.

[02:28:29] It's fucking bad.

[02:28:29] Cuphead I've also played and I've tried playing the DLC and it's just as fucking crazy as the original.

[02:28:38] Maybe probably worse.

[02:28:39] Yeah.

[02:28:40] Like I beat the base game of Cuphead this year and it's like one of the hardest games I've ever beaten.

[02:28:47] It's like absurdly difficult.

[02:28:49] And it's so good though.

[02:28:51] Like I love everything about the game.

[02:28:53] I love that it's like incredibly difficult, you know, and beating it feels like such an accomplishment

[02:28:58] because the game is designed around making you feel good about like beating the game, you know, so it keeps pushing you to keep going, you know,

[02:29:06] whereas it feels like Hotline Miami doesn't do that.

[02:29:08] It does not reward you for beating the game.

[02:29:10] This will see.

[02:29:11] You know, and I've been messing with the DLC of Cuphead of Cuphead.

[02:29:14] Sorry, I've been messing with the DLC.

[02:29:15] It is just as if not harder than the base game.

[02:29:19] I think it might be harder.

[02:29:19] Yeah, it's especially if you're using chalice because her moveset in a way is easier because of like how they set her up with like her dashing.

[02:29:28] And Perry's but because you're not used to it.

[02:29:31] It fucks with you.

[02:29:32] It fucks with you.

[02:29:33] Yeah, but I think you can get used to her and make it easier.

[02:29:37] You know what this comes down to.

[02:29:39] I think an air Aaron.

[02:29:41] This is your award.

[02:29:42] So I think what this comes down to is the fact that Cuphead is a good game.

[02:29:47] That's well made.

[02:29:49] That's just incredibly difficult.

[02:29:50] Yeah, it's hotline Miami 2 is a OK game that is poorly made.

[02:29:57] That is fucking horrifically.

[02:30:01] And my like what I would say specifically is that like Cuphead was made with love and hotline Miami 2.

[02:30:08] It's literally written into the story that the developers hate you like you are part of what they are criticizing from Hotline Miami 1.

[02:30:18] Like the cult classic of Hotline Miami 1.

[02:30:21] They want to rebel against that and they want to punish you for liking Hotline Miami 1.

[02:30:27] It was made with hate range.

[02:30:29] It's awesome.

[02:30:30] I think that's so cool and brave, but also I hated it.

[02:30:33] Like I fucking I hated actually going through it.

[02:30:37] I mean that's an interesting idea because I know there have been like indie developers throughout the years who have like hated the success that their game had for like many different reasons.

[02:30:46] I mean I even heard recently the guy who made Bellatro regrets thinking that it was so successful, you know?

[02:30:52] Yeah.

[02:30:52] So it's interesting how like the success of a game can like fuck with your psyche.

[02:30:57] I mean Phil Fish is probably the biggest like example of that.

[02:31:00] That is like that guy's an asshole anyways.

[02:31:02] He is, but that is like one of the greatest fucking meltdowns ever.

[02:31:05] I mean that's a case.

[02:31:06] That's a case of Flappy Bird.

[02:31:07] I think this thing.

[02:31:08] Yeah, that was pretty bad too.

[02:31:10] I feel bad for that guy.

[02:31:11] Yeah.

[02:31:12] Because of everything that happened and then when it came back and everyone was like, oh Flappy Bird's back and he had to come out of hiding to be like I didn't support this.

[02:31:20] So Aaron, where do you where do you.

[02:31:21] I think this is going to Hotline Miami 2 because for one.

[02:31:25] Yeah, I'm okay with that.

[02:31:28] Like they're both hard at first, but once you get a groove down and you learn how the enemies work and you understand what weapons to use and like what strategies and movements to use.

[02:31:38] There's no way to get around shitty game design or like a game designed to work against you because at least Cuphead is fair over bold is fair.

[02:31:48] Yeah, it can be.

[02:31:49] Yeah, there are times where Cuphead feels unfair, but it's you know, it's like say like like any like bullet hell shooter.

[02:31:56] Like once you figure it out, you're good.

[02:31:58] And yeah, like I never felt like I wanted to stop playing the game.

[02:32:02] Like I never got actually mad.

[02:32:04] That's the thing with Cuphead.

[02:32:04] I would get frustrated, but I wouldn't get actually mad.

[02:32:07] Yeah, you like you keep dying and you keep dying and you're like fuck like if I had just like done this differently.

[02:32:14] Fuck.

[02:32:14] I gotta pay attention to this part more.

[02:32:16] The thing Cuphead did the smartest thing is when you die, it shows you your progress bar.

[02:32:21] Yes.

[02:32:21] So when you're like I was almost fucking there.

[02:32:23] Let me try it again.

[02:32:25] That was the smartest thing they ever did.

[02:32:27] Another thing about Cuphead is that like it's always consistent generally.

[02:32:31] Yes.

[02:32:31] When you play Hotline Miami 2, the enemies just go and he's fucking fuck off in every direction.

[02:32:37] And so you just never you never know you can't like organize or memorize anything.

[02:32:44] And so it's like you never know if you're gonna walk through a door and shoot somebody if the dog is gonna be nearby or not.

[02:32:50] Then so you just have to always like be on your toes and it makes it so much stressful.

[02:32:54] Yeah, this game sounds like bullshit.

[02:32:55] I have good news for you, buddy.

[02:32:56] I have very good news for you.

[02:32:57] You have won the category that Aaron has brought here for the Shin Megami Ghosts and Souls Award.

[02:33:06] You won, Nave.

[02:33:07] Good job.

[02:33:08] Thank you.

[02:33:09] See, I wasn't I was I wasn't expecting that out of like Hotline Miami 2.

[02:33:14] Genuinely, I wasn't expecting that.

[02:33:16] Okay.

[02:33:16] That was the least effort I ever put into it.

[02:33:18] Let's get this fucking done.

[02:33:20] Let's go, dude.

[02:33:20] Let's do this.

[02:33:21] It's been three hours.

[02:33:21] We gotta get out of here.

[02:33:22] Alright.

[02:33:24] Thrak.

[02:33:24] Yes.

[02:33:25] Present your final award of the evening.

[02:33:28] This is the fucking I would have said the best for last, but I don't even understand words.

[02:33:33] Please explain this.

[02:33:35] Okay.

[02:33:35] So this is going to the best Skibbity Sigma Ohio Riz game.

[02:33:39] So basically, like what game Riz you up the most?

[02:33:44] You know, basically.

[02:33:45] What does that mean?

[02:33:46] The problem is you have Ohio Riz.

[02:33:48] It's charisma!

[02:33:48] Don't worry about it.

[02:33:49] Riz is short for charisma.

[02:33:51] Oh, like flirty.

[02:33:51] What's Ohio short for?

[02:33:55] Uh...

[02:33:55] Oh, is in Ohio 44.

[02:33:57] Ohio these nuts.

[02:33:58] I don't know.

[02:33:59] I believe it's like Native American.

[02:34:01] Anyways.

[02:34:01] So are we just talking about like our favorite game of the year?

[02:34:04] No.

[02:34:04] Basically what game Riz you up the most?

[02:34:06] Like what game you were in?

[02:34:08] What game you were in?

[02:34:09] Speak fucking normal!

[02:34:11] No!

[02:34:12] Okay.

[02:34:13] I live in Ohio, I can't!

[02:34:15] I don't know.

[02:34:15] I genuinely don't really understand...

[02:34:17] I mean, Ohio and Skibbity are memes.

[02:34:20] But Sigma is like...

[02:34:21] Ohio is a meme.

[02:34:22] Ohio is a meme.

[02:34:23] I don't know why, but it is.

[02:34:24] Sigma is a meme.

[02:34:25] I've heard like...

[02:34:26] No, like I'd heard like, oh you got that Skibbity Ohio Riz.

[02:34:28] I don't know what it means.

[02:34:29] But it just is what it is.

[02:34:31] You got that shitty Riz.

[02:34:32] You got terrible Riz.

[02:34:33] Yes I do.

[02:34:34] It's like flirtatiousness.

[02:34:35] So you're basically saying...

[02:34:37] The game that has the worst...

[02:34:39] The best worst Riz.

[02:34:41] Sure.

[02:34:41] Best worst charisma.

[02:34:42] I still don't understand.

[02:34:43] Sigma is the best.

[02:34:45] Let's rock breathe this.

[02:34:45] It's basically what...

[02:34:47] Okay, so our nominees...

[02:34:49] Sigma is from Mega Man.

[02:34:50] You're from Mega Man.

[02:34:51] Wait, Chris Tapped into it because that's not from Mega Man, dude.

[02:34:55] Wait, wait, wait.

[02:34:55] Wait, wait, wait.

[02:34:55] Wait, wait, wait.

[02:34:55] No, he's from Mega Man X.

[02:34:57] Chris Tapped into it.

[02:34:58] It's in the Greek alphabet.

[02:34:59] The way that I thought is also what he said was Sigma is like the best and Ohio is

[02:35:05] like bad.

[02:35:05] So I also thought it was the best bad Riz.

[02:35:09] Our nominees are...

[02:35:12] Astro Bot from Jerry.

[02:35:14] Fucking right there.

[02:35:14] Ease Origin 1 and 2 from Chris.

[02:35:17] I thought it was just called Ease Origin Fused.

[02:35:19] No, Ease Origin and 1 and 2.

[02:35:22] You wrote that wrong.

[02:35:23] Super Mario RPG Remake from Bill.

[02:35:26] Time Splitter's Future Perfect from Nave.

[02:35:29] Yes.

[02:35:30] Unicorn.

[02:35:30] Is it Unicorn Overlord?

[02:35:32] Yes.

[02:35:33] I heard Unicron the other day.

[02:35:34] Unicorn Overlord from there.

[02:35:35] Unicron Overload.

[02:35:36] I heard that from so much.

[02:35:37] That's the future of all this shit.

[02:35:39] And...

[02:35:40] That's from Transformers.

[02:35:41] ...and Space Marine 2 from me.

[02:35:43] We're getting progressively drunk.

[02:35:46] I'm sorry.

[02:35:47] Yeah, I am not.

[02:35:47] I'm drunk.

[02:35:48] EDF is deprivation.

[02:35:49] I'm feeling it.

[02:35:50] EDF wins.

[02:35:51] Earth Defense Force 2042.

[02:35:53] Let's get out of here.

[02:35:54] You know what we started at the beginning was that Dave was adding a phantom pick and

[02:35:58] then we just stopped doing that.

[02:35:59] I wish we kept doing that.

[02:36:00] How do we judge this category if these are all just the games we think are the best?

[02:36:04] Like...

[02:36:04] I...

[02:36:05] I might be biased.

[02:36:06] I might be biased.

[02:36:08] What?

[02:36:08] But I think that Time Splitter's Future Perfect is the perfect signifier of Sigma Ohio risk.

[02:36:14] I just don't know what that means.

[02:36:15] And let me follow that up.

[02:36:16] Because I don't think I've ever gone first.

[02:36:18] So let me go first here.

[02:36:20] Um...

[02:36:20] Sergeant Cortez is literally the most awkward, stupid son of a bitch.

[02:36:26] It's time to split.

[02:36:27] He really fucking is, dude.

[02:36:28] Like he...

[02:36:29] Everyone hates him.

[02:36:30] But at the same time, he is the most lovable, dumb bastard that has ever existed in a fucking

[02:36:36] video game.

[02:36:36] And I will die on that hill.

[02:36:38] And I think that having the best, worst riz just totally encapsulated...

[02:36:45] Immediately, I thought of Sergeant Cortez.

[02:36:46] This was one of the first ones that I saw and I went instantly.

[02:36:50] I knew what game I wanted to put in there.

[02:36:52] Like, Sergeant Cortez is the most charismatic, uncharismatic person I've ever seen in my

[02:36:58] life.

[02:36:58] And I just...

[02:36:59] I love him for that.

[02:37:01] So that's my nomination.

[02:37:01] I did not understand the category.

[02:37:03] Yeah.

[02:37:03] So I took out Astro Bot.

[02:37:05] I literally picked Astro Bot because I thought it was like, what's the best game that you played

[02:37:09] this year?

[02:37:10] That's what I thought mine was too.

[02:37:11] I'm gonna tell you right now that Astro Bot is the best game of this year.

[02:37:17] It is.

[02:37:17] Of this year.

[02:37:18] Of this year.

[02:37:20] A hundred percent.

[02:37:21] And...

[02:37:21] I disagree, but I haven't played it.

[02:37:22] Look at the witches from Unicorn Overlord.

[02:37:23] It won't...

[02:37:23] Look at them.

[02:37:25] Look it up.

[02:37:26] Look at a T-Sigma Ohio riz.

[02:37:29] Absolutely.

[02:37:30] Look up, witch, Unicorn Overlord.

[02:37:32] I've seen them already.

[02:37:34] I can imagine.

[02:37:36] I mean, it's a vanilla rare game.

[02:37:37] Look it up.

[02:37:37] I know that those witches got those tings.

[02:37:39] Yeah, we know.

[02:37:40] Look up the gif.

[02:37:40] It does.

[02:37:42] They be smoothing, dude.

[02:37:44] Look up the gif.

[02:37:45] They be smoothing, dude.

[02:37:46] Witch, Unicorn Overlord, gif.

[02:37:48] Oh, it auto-filled in.

[02:37:51] Yeah, dude.

[02:37:52] Why, Jared?

[02:37:53] Why?

[02:37:53] People are looking at this thing.

[02:37:56] Yep.

[02:37:57] First thing that comes up.

[02:37:58] Oh, my.

[02:38:00] Okay.

[02:38:00] That was how I convinced...

[02:38:02] I don't think it was Aaron.

[02:38:03] I don't remember who it was, but I sent that into one of my group chats, and they were like,

[02:38:07] Oh, man.

[02:38:07] Do I have to...

[02:38:08] I think it was Nick.

[02:38:09] I think Nick was like, do I have to buy this game?

[02:38:11] And I'm like, dude, this is the...

[02:38:14] This is...

[02:38:15] There's many more.

[02:38:16] This is like how I discovered there's a 3D...

[02:38:22] What?

[02:38:23] What?

[02:38:24] This is a real thing.

[02:38:24] Yeah, that's a real thing.

[02:38:26] There's a 3DO life.

[02:38:27] Other than that, I don't know what this game has to do with Riz, other than kind of flip...

[02:38:31] I guess not flipping tactics RPGs on their head, but like doing a lot different with tactics RPGs.

[02:38:37] Those witches though, man.

[02:38:40] So the game rizzed you up.

[02:38:41] That witch definitely did it, dude.

[02:38:44] There you go.

[02:38:46] And whenever she...

[02:38:47] Whenever you get the elite version...

[02:38:49] Whenever you get the elite version of that class, she gets way bigger tits.

[02:38:53] Dude, what?

[02:38:53] She's just like, what?

[02:38:54] She's doing this.

[02:38:55] That's amazing.

[02:38:55] And I'm like, yo.

[02:38:57] Wait a minute.

[02:38:57] So, Bill, are we okay to take yours off?

[02:39:00] Because I don't know if anybody's whipping their tits out and fucking...

[02:39:04] I still don't understand this category, so sure.

[02:39:08] I'm so confused.

[02:39:09] Me too.

[02:39:10] But let's just get this done.

[02:39:12] Okay.

[02:39:12] That's fine.

[02:39:14] Chris, East Origin and 1 and 2.

[02:39:20] And East 1 and 2.

[02:39:23] I've always been curious about these games.

[02:39:26] I decided this year to get all of them.

[02:39:29] What the fuck?

[02:39:31] Oh no.

[02:39:32] And they're awesome.

[02:39:34] Oh yeah, yeah.

[02:39:36] That's the 3D waifu.

[02:39:37] What are we looking at here?

[02:39:37] That's the 3D waifu.

[02:39:39] What?

[02:39:40] What are we...

[02:39:40] What do you...

[02:39:41] How do you open the chat?

[02:39:43] There's chats in there.

[02:39:44] I can't see it.

[02:39:45] Why does this exist?

[02:39:47] Because it's great.

[02:39:48] Why does this exist?

[02:39:50] Funny chat.

[02:39:52] You guys ever played Neptunia?

[02:39:55] Yeah.

[02:39:55] This is a Neptunia character, for sure.

[02:39:58] They made a collection in the most recent game called the Failure Goddesses, which are all

[02:40:03] based on failed consoles.

[02:40:05] Neptunia...

[02:40:06] Yeah, it's also very funny.

[02:40:07] It's a pretty funny.

[02:40:08] The entire series is literally a parody of the console wars with anime waifus.

[02:40:12] It's the greatest thing ever.

[02:40:15] But yeah, 3D.

[02:40:16] So, Chris, were you another person that did not understand the category?

[02:40:21] I thought it was the best and Thrak just decided to keep Ohio because he doesn't know what Ohio means, apparently.

[02:40:28] I got the state.

[02:40:30] That's the state he lives in.

[02:40:32] He can put it wherever he wants.

[02:40:33] No.

[02:40:34] But he doesn't understand it in Gen Alpha.

[02:40:35] Outside of the state of existential dread.

[02:40:38] Yeah.

[02:40:39] So, anyways, Ease Origins, fantastic games.

[02:40:42] If you like the fairytale feelings that Dragon Quest games have, but you don't want to deal

[02:40:48] with the slowness, Ease.

[02:40:52] It's fucking incredible.

[02:40:53] And the bump combat of the first two games is fucking awesome.

[02:40:56] It's awesome.

[02:40:57] You know, all of it is so weird, but it's so good.

[02:41:00] So you're saying the game rizzed you up?

[02:41:02] Yes.

[02:41:03] There you go.

[02:41:03] Because I thought, oh, it's going to be fun.

[02:41:05] And then I ended up falling in love with Ease to the point where tomorrow I'm starting Ease 4.

[02:41:11] And I'm skipping 3.

[02:41:12] Soundtrack 2.

[02:41:13] No, I played 3 already.

[02:41:14] That fucking soundtrack.

[02:41:14] Wait, no.

[02:41:15] I'm starting 3 and continuing.

[02:41:17] Yeah.

[02:41:18] Yeah.

[02:41:18] The soundtrack is awesome.

[02:41:19] I was going to say, all I have to say about Ease is like, Adol really needs to stay away

[02:41:24] from like oceans because he seems to always get lost in the ocean.

[02:41:28] And somehow he got one of the angel twins to fall in love with him.

[02:41:32] That dude has a lot of rizz.

[02:41:34] Yeah, he has them.

[02:41:35] He does have a lot of rizz.

[02:41:36] Let's be real.

[02:41:37] Basically, every woman that he meets falls in love with him.

[02:41:40] A lot of blue hair.

[02:41:41] What about Thrax?

[02:41:42] Everything.

[02:41:43] Sorry, go with your...

[02:41:44] Yeah.

[02:41:45] I was going to say, of all the things that I've seen so far, that unicorn overload or

[02:41:53] over...

[02:41:54] Overlord?

[02:41:56] Yeah, man.

[02:41:57] Yeah, man.

[02:41:58] Yeah, man.

[02:41:59] I just had...

[02:42:01] He was so rizzed up.

[02:42:02] He forgot English.

[02:42:03] And I proudly present the award for fucking on-screen aneurysm.

[02:42:12] Um...

[02:42:13] Jerry's lingering emotions are controlling his body.

[02:42:15] All I can think of these gotcha in, witches is like the whole like...

[02:42:18] Unicorn overlords, witches, I feel like is my pick for this.

[02:42:24] Well, here's the problem.

[02:42:26] Here's the problem.

[02:42:27] Here's the problem.

[02:42:27] I'm with time splitters, dude.

[02:42:28] I...

[02:42:29] Those witches...

[02:42:29] Lather it up, bro!

[02:42:30] Listen, those witches, they represent Skippity.

[02:42:34] They even represent Sigma, I'd go as far as to say.

[02:42:38] Just let me win, boy, you son of a bitch.

[02:42:40] Ohio is another part of this interaction.

[02:42:44] And those witches are not Ohio at all.

[02:42:47] What the fuck does that mean?

[02:42:47] Those witches are premium Sigma.

[02:42:52] All I can say about the witches is like, it's the meme where it's like, can I just

[02:42:55] trust you in my religion?

[02:42:56] And it's like, what's your religion?

[02:42:57] You just closed that.

[02:42:58] Yes.

[02:42:59] It's like...

[02:43:00] You don't worship Ohio.

[02:43:02] You don't worship anything with Ohio in it.

[02:43:04] What...

[02:43:04] I mean, you made this category and then you put Space Marine 2 there.

[02:43:09] But why?

[02:43:10] He didn't understand his own category!

[02:43:12] Because Space Marine rizzed me up.

[02:43:14] Because Space Marine rizzed me up, that's why.

[02:43:18] Oh, I thought you were gonna talk about the characters.

[02:43:20] The characters are also very charismatic, but also awkward and gross and weird.

[02:43:25] So at the same time, it's like, you would wanna fuck them, but also they're very...

[02:43:29] You don't know if you want to be around them.

[02:43:31] Here's...

[02:43:31] I'll probably get an STI from them.

[02:43:33] Can I...

[02:43:34] Can I motion something here?

[02:43:36] Nnnn...

[02:43:37] Nobody wins this category.

[02:43:39] Are you joking?!

[02:43:41] What?!

[02:43:42] What?!

[02:43:43] Give me this?!

[02:43:44] No, just give it to Aaron.

[02:43:46] Just give it to Aaron.

[02:43:47] Give it to Aaron.

[02:43:47] Aaron for big 10.

[02:43:49] Give it to Aaron!

[02:43:49] That's capitulation!

[02:43:50] Let Aaron get a win.

[02:43:51] Aaron needs to fight.

[02:43:53] Wait, aren't...

[02:43:54] Aaron, aren't you in all of the...

[02:43:56] Are you in all of the things?

[02:43:57] I'm only in one of these.

[02:43:58] I haven't won a single one.

[02:43:59] What are you talking about?

[02:44:01] No.

[02:44:01] All of us have won one except Aaron.

[02:44:03] What I'm saying is like, isn't he in day one?

[02:44:06] Is there a day three?

[02:44:06] No, this is the only one I'm in.

[02:44:07] No.

[02:44:09] Oh my god.

[02:44:10] Aaron.

[02:44:11] Alright, well we're fighting to death.

[02:44:12] So, Nave, this is Super Ghost.

[02:44:14] This isn't Super Ghost.

[02:44:15] Yeah, my...

[02:44:15] Yeah, welcome to Super Ghost, dude.

[02:44:20] Get the super shreds, dude.

[02:44:21] The funniest part is, last year we ended the last category also with Aaron not winning

[02:44:26] and Aaron being like, let me win one, please.

[02:44:29] Let me win this much.

[02:44:35] Keep in tradition alive.

[02:44:37] Do you want to eliminate Space Marine in Ys?

[02:44:40] I actually like Space Marine in this.

[02:44:43] If you want...

[02:44:43] I think Ys probably can get eliminated, but I think Space Marine, Unicorn, and TimeSplitters

[02:44:47] are like good fighters.

[02:44:49] Like, I think we can argue with Ys.

[02:44:51] But I don't even know what we're arguing about.

[02:44:53] What the fuck this category is supposed to be?

[02:44:55] Before we hit keys off.

[02:44:55] People keep saying, what's the game that Riz do up the most?

[02:44:58] Like, how are we supposed to judge the rest?

[02:44:59] Because I've never played Space Marine.

[02:45:01] I don't know...

[02:45:02] I don't know what the fuck I'm voting for.

[02:45:03] I don't know how much more...

[02:45:05] I don't know how much more blunt I can be.

[02:45:08] But what?

[02:45:09] It is Skimdy Sigma Ohio Riz.

[02:45:11] What the fuck are you talking about?

[02:45:18] Aaron is too tired to understand it.

[02:45:20] I don't know what any of this means.

[02:45:22] Thanks for the ellipses.

[02:45:26] Aaron, we floored.

[02:45:28] Because Aaron is the most...

[02:45:30] Aaron doesn't understand the most.

[02:45:32] Sweet wins.

[02:45:34] Aaron needs a nap.

[02:45:36] We're gonna get a nap.

[02:45:38] Play East.

[02:45:39] Play East.

[02:45:40] Play East.

[02:45:41] That's all you have to do is play East.

[02:45:42] Play TimeSplitters means you're perfect.

[02:45:43] That is true.

[02:45:44] Okay, okay.

[02:45:45] We get it.

[02:45:46] Just play the fucking games.

[02:45:48] Now, the fucking Skimdy Sigma Ohio Riz of Woj.

[02:45:54] Presented by Thrak.

[02:45:56] Way to derail.

[02:45:58] You know what, Thrak?

[02:45:58] Thrak, I commend you.

[02:46:00] Who do you think should have won?

[02:46:00] Wait, who do you think should have won, Thrak?

[02:46:02] I'll give it to Aaron.

[02:46:03] Thank you.

[02:46:03] Thank you.

[02:46:03] I love you.

[02:46:04] Oh, you fucking...

[02:46:05] You fucking...

[02:46:06] Nate was like, I didn't think this through.

[02:46:10] I felt like I just threw a hand grenade into this and I'm very happy with the result.

[02:46:14] So here's the thing.

[02:46:15] Thrak, you're new to the Anti-Game of the Year.

[02:46:19] And this is also your first time on Super Ghost.

[02:46:22] So I feel like you understood the assignment because you fucked up the entire show with one award.

[02:46:30] And I'm so glad that it was the last one.

[02:46:33] But you just...

[02:46:34] You totally were like...

[02:46:36] Nobody understood this thing.

[02:46:37] And that's exactly what makes it funny.

[02:46:40] I almost screamed.

[02:46:41] Because nobody...

[02:46:43] My favorite part is...

[02:46:45] And you won!

[02:46:45] Before this started, Aaron's like, I hope this isn't gonna be as long as last year's.

[02:46:49] Yeah, dude.

[02:46:49] And then I'm sitting here...

[02:46:50] I think it's longer.

[02:46:51] I think it's longer.

[02:46:52] No, it's not.

[02:46:53] Last year was almost four hours.

[02:46:54] No, it was like four hours.

[02:46:55] Four hours.

[02:46:56] Jesus Christ.

[02:46:57] We got the counter.

[02:46:58] We got the question two.

[02:47:00] And I'm like, we're already at almost an hour and a half.

[02:47:02] I'm like, Aaron, we're not doing well.

[02:47:05] No, we're at three hours.

[02:47:07] Now that said, day one was two hours.

[02:47:09] And we had two less on that one.

[02:47:13] So it's not terrible.

[02:47:16] We had a lot of categories and stuff.

[02:47:17] The first panel though was mostly like people that don't understand that Super Pod is what Super Pod is.

[02:47:22] And then this panel is literally the network boys just going at it.

[02:47:26] Just fucking going to town.

[02:47:26] So...

[02:47:27] I'm really fucking angry right now.

[02:47:30] Because...

[02:47:32] It wouldn't be anti-game of the year if somebody can leave really angry.

[02:47:37] The whole thing is that everyone...

[02:47:40] And it's always Dave?

[02:47:40] It's always me.

[02:47:41] I'm an angry guy.

[02:47:43] Clearly.

[02:47:43] The whole thing is that like everyone won one award.

[02:47:48] And now I'm like, we're pussies.

[02:47:50] We should have fought.

[02:47:51] I should have fought harder for something.

[02:47:53] I don't know.

[02:47:54] What do you want to fight?

[02:47:55] I don't know.

[02:47:55] What does the category even mean?

[02:47:57] What are you talking about?

[02:47:58] This whole thing is about fighting.

[02:48:00] Right?

[02:48:01] We're supposed to be fighting the whole time.

[02:48:02] What am I supposed to do?

[02:48:04] What am I supposed to do?

[02:48:05] What am I supposed to do?

[02:48:06] Jerry!

[02:48:07] This is what I'm saying.

[02:48:09] Jerry executive decision eliminated everyone but you.

[02:48:13] To give you an award.

[02:48:14] And I'm like, you son of a bitch, Jerry.

[02:48:17] I was ready to go to war.

[02:48:19] This is the best way this could have possibly gone.

[02:48:24] I love the fact that like my pick just got like immediately yeeted and I didn't even get to say a word.

[02:48:34] And then you try to do this.

[02:48:35] Well, no, but then the best part is you tried to do the same thing to Chris and he was like, no, I'm still going to give my piece.

[02:48:41] And he kept going anyway.

[02:48:43] Oh, that's what it's all about though.

[02:48:45] Right?

[02:48:46] I just was like, I don't even know what that means.

[02:48:48] I don't know.

[02:48:49] What?

[02:48:50] What was nothing happened?

[02:48:52] No, it's kind of boring.

[02:48:56] Well, art has happened.

[02:49:01] So that was, that was a perfect way to end this.

[02:49:03] But with the last episode, I ended it with one final question.

[02:49:09] One that was not on any of these documents anywhere.

[02:49:12] And it's, it's, it's an easy one.

[02:49:14] I promise, Aaron, you won't have to be careful.

[02:49:18] You don't have to go too deep into this.

[02:49:20] I would just like you to tell me and the listeners at home, what your favorite game of the year is.

[02:49:27] It doesn't have to be the best game.

[02:49:29] Just, I mean, the game that like, when you think about 2024 and you think back to this year, you go, yeah, it was Astro Bot.

[02:49:37] Because I know that's what me and Chris are going to say.

[02:49:41] But does it have to be a 2024 game?

[02:49:44] Or does it?

[02:49:44] No, it doesn't.

[02:49:45] It just means, I mean, like, if you played fucking Super Mario World this year and like, you had a profound, joyous time with that game in 2024.

[02:49:55] Just tell me, tell the listeners.

[02:49:58] So let's go around.

[02:49:59] Nave, we'll start with you because you're the most angry right now.

[02:50:02] So let's, let's make you happy.

[02:50:04] Tell us, tell us what makes you happy.

[02:50:06] You know, if you didn't start with me, then I wouldn't have said this, but now I want to make you mad.

[02:50:11] And I'm going to say metaphoria Fantasio.

[02:50:13] The best game of 2024.

[02:50:15] That should have won game of the year.

[02:50:16] Best, the best story, best gameplay, best everything.

[02:50:21] Everything Jerry says.

[02:50:22] Oh, okay.

[02:50:23] I don't know.

[02:50:26] That's still my game, but whatever.

[02:50:28] I said before that the game is about 20 hours too long, but I did really, really, really enjoy it.

[02:50:37] So.

[02:50:37] Well, I misplayed, but I've already played.

[02:50:40] So I do enjoy that game a lot.

[02:50:43] Yeah, it is a very, very good game.

[02:50:45] Are you still playing that game?

[02:50:47] Yes, it's over there.

[02:50:48] It's still on.

[02:50:49] Because literally every time I turn on my Xbox and I see you're online, it just says metaphor.

[02:50:53] It's so long.

[02:50:53] I'm like, what is it in, dude?

[02:50:55] It's very, very long.

[02:50:57] Man.

[02:50:59] Yes.

[02:51:00] Aaron.

[02:51:01] What is your favorite game of 2024?

[02:51:03] I've thought about this very hard and I'm, I think I'm going to say unicorn overlord, man.

[02:51:07] It's just too good.

[02:51:09] Not just kids, the witches, but like the game itself is actually really fucking good.

[02:51:17] Yeah.

[02:51:18] Fuck.

[02:51:18] Yeah, dude.

[02:51:19] I was hoping you were going to say because it won you an award.

[02:51:21] Yeah.

[02:51:22] Because it won me.

[02:51:23] That's why I like that.

[02:51:24] It won me the fucking skibbity jism Ohio fucking award or whatever.

[02:51:29] Damn right.

[02:51:31] Chris, what's your favorite game of 2024?

[02:51:35] That's a hard question.

[02:51:36] But due to recency bias, Dragon Age DeVale Guard.

[02:51:40] Really?

[02:51:41] Yo.

[02:51:43] That is the game that I needed when I played it.

[02:51:46] It was exactly, it was Bioware Lite.

[02:51:49] It wasn't full on full blown Bioware like all the previous games, but it brought closer to a story that I played 10 years ago in a very important moment in my life.

[02:51:59] And it was perfect.

[02:52:01] Wow.

[02:52:02] I loved it.

[02:52:03] It's amazing.

[02:52:04] You are now the second person to say that.

[02:52:07] Really?

[02:52:08] Yep.

[02:52:08] To be honest, Astro Bot, fantastic.

[02:52:12] Final Fantasy 7, fantastic.

[02:52:15] Stellar Blade.

[02:52:16] He's incredible.

[02:52:17] Stellar Blade, amazing games this year.

[02:52:20] Metal Guard.

[02:52:22] Infinite Wealth was my game of the year until Astro Bot came out.

[02:52:26] Yeah.

[02:52:28] Amazing games throughout this year.

[02:52:29] Like there's, there hasn't been very many bad games this year.

[02:52:32] No, it's been a pretty, pretty banger year for games.

[02:52:36] Yeah.

[02:52:36] What is your favorite?

[02:52:39] Well, I'm going to give you two answers because I always do it.

[02:52:44] I can add two answers.

[02:52:47] Well, I always do it as well.

[02:52:49] Aaron's like, I want to go to bed.

[02:52:51] No, it'll be quick.

[02:52:52] It's just like, it's like a game that came out this year that I really liked and a game

[02:52:56] that didn't come out this year, but I played for the first time that I really liked.

[02:52:59] So my favorite 2024 game was Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

[02:53:05] I'm currently writing a review of it.

[02:53:06] So you'll get my in-depth explanation later.

[02:53:08] But my other favorite game was Immortality, which technically dropped on the PS5 this year.

[02:53:16] That's true.

[02:53:16] I played on series.

[02:53:18] So yeah, that game was a fucking 10 out of 10.

[02:53:22] Masterpiece.

[02:53:23] Nice.

[02:53:25] And last review, my link, the link to my dick pics will be in there, but you'll have to decipher

[02:53:29] it like in a code.

[02:53:31] And it's Indiana Jones, you know?

[02:53:34] Indiana Jones.

[02:53:36] Dr. Jones.

[02:53:39] Bill.

[02:53:40] What is your favorite game of 2024?

[02:53:43] I guess I'll go with what I thought Thrax question was.

[02:53:47] Super Mario RPG was probably my favorite game I played this year.

[02:53:51] Hell yeah.

[02:53:51] Fuck yes it was.

[02:53:52] Honestly, I went from finding that game highly overrated and I didn't get what the deal was

[02:53:58] to playing the remake and finally I got it.

[02:54:01] I was like, I understand.

[02:54:02] This is why this game is such a gem.

[02:54:05] It's just joyful.

[02:54:07] It is.

[02:54:08] I mean, I still prefer Bowser's inside story.

[02:54:10] Probably would still play thousand year door first, but I fully understand why Mario

[02:54:15] RPG is the gem that it is.

[02:54:17] I get it now.

[02:54:18] I don't, I don't, I don't think he understands it.

[02:54:20] I think he's just start for Mario RPG content.

[02:54:23] He just needs Mario jumping.

[02:54:24] No, no, no.

[02:54:25] I legitimately, I legitimately, until that, that's the whole thing.

[02:54:29] Until that remake came out.

[02:54:30] I thought that game was highly overrated and I didn't understand why it was so acclaimed.

[02:54:34] Do you want to see?

[02:54:35] Well, no, I think it's fine where it is.

[02:54:37] Okay.

[02:54:39] It got us going to do it for the anti game of the year day to thank God we got through it.

[02:54:45] We, we managed, uh, Nate.

[02:54:48] Oh no, he's back.

[02:54:50] Oh shit.

[02:54:52] Nate, Nate has, I think Nate was less angry this year than he was last year.

[02:54:58] So congratulations, Nate.

[02:54:59] Somehow.

[02:54:59] I'm working on it.

[02:55:00] I'm working on it.

[02:55:01] I, what I, I really want to say genuinely is that.

[02:55:07] Podcasting has genuinely changed my life and I don't want to get like all sentimental, but I am going to because I'm a little drunk, but I wanted to do this anyway.

[02:55:14] Regardless.

[02:55:14] I am just so happy to fucking met you guys.

[02:55:17] Like, I'm so fucking happy to have met you guys.

[02:55:19] And like, you guys have changed my life and the listeners that are listening to this, even if you don't listen to gaming together and you just hear me in the periphery whenever I'm on super, uh, ghost radio or even more.

[02:55:29] More often on super pod saga.

[02:55:31] I, I go over on gaming, collecting every now and then I've never been on three.

[02:55:36] You have.

[02:55:36] I don't even know what the radio is.

[02:55:38] Yeah.

[02:55:39] Yeah.

[02:55:39] You showed up when I wasn't there.

[02:55:41] Remember?

[02:55:42] Oh yeah.

[02:55:43] Well, he is a little drunk.

[02:55:47] I'm just like, yeah, you have too many guest appearances.

[02:55:51] I do.

[02:55:52] I do be jumping everywhere if I can, but like, I'm just so fucking happy to have fucking talked to you guys.

[02:55:57] And I'm so happy that I like put myself out there and like ingratiated myself into the screen.

[02:56:01] And I love being part of the super pod, whatever word that word.

[02:56:06] I can't remember.

[02:56:08] I don't have my little screen thing.

[02:56:10] I go across the bottom.

[02:56:12] Yeah.

[02:56:12] Honestly, like, like impulsely joining a random discord server about some completely unrelated led me to this.

[02:56:19] That's yeah.

[02:56:21] Yeah.

[02:56:22] Yeah.

[02:56:22] Group hug.

[02:56:23] You gotta thank Mike and Tyler from.

[02:56:25] Oh, from codex.

[02:57:54] Don't, don't buy from me anyways.

[02:57:56] Uh, a novel console, uh, wherever you get your podcast, it's coming back.

[02:58:01] Well, with my wife, it's been somewhat back recently.

[02:58:05] Uh, hopefully it'll be weekly again, but, uh, yeah.

[02:58:09] A novel console, wherever you get your podcasts.

[02:58:11] Hell yeah.

[02:58:12] Thanks a lot, Chris.

[02:58:14] Yep.

[02:58:14] Nave.

[02:58:15] Plug it up, buddy.

[02:58:17] Um, I'm one half of gaming together cooperative podcast and we like to have, uh, really stupid

[02:58:22] and idiotic conversations with people and then also try to judge assholes and then review

[02:58:27] a game all in one podcast, which is why our episodes always end up three hours long.

[02:58:32] And which is why I'm the only one that's totally ready to go two more hours of arguing,

[02:58:37] but that's fine.

[02:58:40] We'll stick around afterwards.

[02:58:41] We can argue with some stuff if you want.

[02:58:43] It always happens.

[02:58:45] You know, we like, as soon as the, as soon as the mic's off, we just start screaming at

[02:58:49] each other.

[02:58:50] That's every fucking episode.

[02:58:52] That's why I'm quiet.

[02:58:53] That's why I'm quiet.

[02:58:53] Everything Jerry said are lies.

[02:58:56] Well, thank you so much, Nave, for coming on and doing this, buddy.

[02:59:00] Bill.

[02:59:01] Plug it up.

[02:59:03] Um, so he rolls out like the script.

[02:59:07] And for the start of my speech,

[02:59:11] he kind of has a script.

[02:59:12] Oh yeah.

[02:59:13] At this point, you know, I have, everyone knows I have three podcasts cause I'm a masochist.

[02:59:17] Um, of course I got a shout out gaming, gaming, collecting my main show.

[02:59:21] That's the one I've been doing for God knows how long now it's a show.

[02:59:25] I do it.

[02:59:25] It's just me and my sister Alex do.

[02:59:27] Uh, it's a gaming and anime nostalgia podcast.

[02:59:29] We talk about basically whatever subject comes up.

[02:59:32] It's usually nonsensical and we lose the script a lot.

[02:59:36] I also have geek addicts, which is a pop culture podcast.

[02:59:39] Do it with my buddy, Matt.

[02:59:40] We talked about basically anything, pop culture, uh, basically just two bros shooting the shit.

[02:59:45] And then of course the 3DO experience, which is a 3DO retrospective podcast.

[02:59:49] I do with my buddy Thrak over here.

[02:59:51] Hi.

[03:00:13] All right.

[03:00:14] Thrak.

[03:00:15] I am the cohost of the 3DO experience with Bill, where we discuss the weird and wacky world

[03:00:19] of the 3DO.

[03:00:20] And also I forced him to talk about the gaming news at the start.

[03:00:23] So we talk about that.

[03:00:24] So we talked about porn last week.

[03:00:28] Trey really wants that Dracula dick.

[03:00:30] So if you want to know more about that, tune into our episode about the games.
