[00:00:00] Hello and welcome to Gaming Together Cooperative Podcast. I'm your host Phillip and I'm here with my co-partner Nave.
[00:00:31] Each pod we play the recovered experience and relay to you the listener if this game is a criminal or something better off playing solo.
[00:00:37] Hey Nave what's poppin?
[00:00:39] Not shit. My allergies or maybe I'm sick, I don't know what's going on but I'm more stuffier than I was two days ago when we recorded.
[00:00:48] Oh man that was a long two days and then we're back at it again.
[00:00:53] Alright this week we're going to be talking about Headbanger's Rhythm Royale, Royale, before we get there Nave let's just check in on the games we've been playing.
[00:01:01] And Nave you have once again been late for the pod because you're finishing a game right before the pod.
[00:01:07] You know I was also finishing a game but I was on time and I'm like I'll just have to come back to this.
[00:01:12] Did you finish it?
[00:01:13] No I was on Nino Cooney.
[00:01:15] Now you don't have anything to say for the pod Phillip you gotta think about the content.
[00:01:20] No I mean now I can talk about it this week and then I'll talk about it again next week whenever I'm like so I finished Nino Cooney remember?
[00:01:27] No because you beat it and it's been like a week now so you've lost all the emotions.
[00:01:31] You're going to look at it through like jaded lens rather than I am emotionally still like just salivating because of Crow Country.
[00:01:39] It looked good, like I was watching you play it and I'm like man do you know anything about the developer?
[00:01:45] No I'm pretty sure they're like I mean I can look it up real quick.
[00:01:49] I'm pretty sure they're just a small studio that hasn't really done anything.
[00:01:52] Wait did we say the title? We're talking about Crow Country.
[00:01:54] Yeah it came out I bought it last week it literally just came out on Xbox.
[00:01:58] I think it came out on everything yeah on the 9th so of May 2024 in case people listen to this in the future for some reason.
[00:02:06] And the developer SFB Games has made a handful of indie games yeah so they I mean I don't know what any of these games are.
[00:02:16] So they haven't made anything with Consequence it looks like but this game Crow Country is fucking awesome.
[00:02:23] It's so so good dude.
[00:02:25] I would tweet at the developers and be like hey just enjoyed your game let them know because games like this do not get good press usually I feel.
[00:02:35] Yeah I hope this I think I think people are really enjoying this one whenever I beat Signolus the first time that is exactly what I did.
[00:02:42] I went and found the two developers of the game and I followed them and started tweeting at them and shit.
[00:02:47] I was like I'm obsessed with your game.
[00:02:49] This game it's it reminisces it's the when I played through it I was reminiscent of the first time I played through Signolus.
[00:02:55] This game is a lot more charming and cute than Signolus is.
[00:02:59] Signolus is just thick with emotion.
[00:03:02] This game it has the vibe in the atmosphere but it also is very retro like it's the characters just look like Final Fantasy 7 characters.
[00:03:11] The save rooms have a song that's like it sounds like it's ripped straight from Final Fantasy 7 and it's so it makes me feel so good.
[00:03:21] I just sit there and chill while I'm like you know I'm like I don't know what I'm supposed to do so I'm like looking up I'm like hey where are all the silver door key rooms because I don't know where the fuck they're at.
[00:03:31] Well but also the game is pretty short.
[00:03:34] I beat it in the two days since we recorded last I started and beat it.
[00:03:39] And so I think it was probably like six to seven hours whenever I played through a blind and I think I'm going to play through it again to get the S rank because that's literally the only achievement I have left.
[00:03:50] What effects us rank this is like how many times you save or anything like that.
[00:03:54] No so it keeps track of how many times you save.
[00:03:57] So I thought that maybe that would do it but it doesn't at the end.
[00:04:01] And so it's the items used the extra lives used but you don't I think by default you don't have extra lives turned on.
[00:04:11] I think that's just an accessibility thing and then shit I don't know.
[00:04:16] There's two other things like so it doesn't matter.
[00:04:19] You just have to beat the game like quickly and without fucking up too much.
[00:04:24] I think you have to find all the secrets but I got the map that tells you where the secrets are so it's like you know it doesn't tell you how to get them just tells you they're in this room.
[00:04:35] And so this game is really awesome if you like like Silent Hill and Resident Evil the older ones.
[00:04:42] You're going to absolutely adore this game and fill up.
[00:04:45] This is right up your alley.
[00:04:47] This is more up your alley than signal as I would say I was looking I'm like as soon as you start talking to the NPCs I pretty much clicked away because I'm like this looks like the indie trash that I love.
[00:04:57] Yeah, and the character you playing as is adorable like she is saying like really stupid shit all the time.
[00:05:04] Like I just kept taking screenshots every time she'd say something I'm like this is a Twitter reaction.
[00:05:09] This is a Twitter reaction.
[00:05:12] No, I referenced one last week where she saw like a dead body.
[00:05:15] She's like I guess I should call the police or something like that.
[00:05:18] Yeah, and a cop does show up eventually.
[00:05:21] There's a let me see.
[00:05:23] I got a couple of them here.
[00:05:25] There's one that says it's like oh I'm not good at computers and it says press a to try anyway.
[00:05:32] And then another one that says oh okay so you get on the the door into a restaurant is blocked from the other side and you get around to the other side.
[00:05:41] And if you try to open the door, she goes.
[00:05:44] She's like the doors locked.
[00:05:46] That's weird because the sign says open.
[00:05:48] Oh wait I'm looking at it from the other side.
[00:05:51] And then she says I'm kind of dumb honestly.
[00:05:54] And then like you have to unlock the door.
[00:05:56] It's pretty good.
[00:05:58] But it is fucking amazing for those types of people who like really like Metroidvania or something like that because it's it's constantly like all everything's locked and you're running around looking for different pieces of puzzles in different areas to like go back to different areas and start doing the
[00:06:13] It's like I need the crank.
[00:06:15] But this area had this egg and I'm like okay I could take this egg like jewel and I know this needs to be in a swan but it's back in that other area.
[00:06:25] You know what I mean?
[00:06:26] So it's like you're just keeping tabs in your mind of where you need to go and stuff like that.
[00:06:29] It's awesome.
[00:06:31] What else do you have in here?
[00:06:32] I see an acronym I don't understand.
[00:06:35] Oh okay speaking of not awesome, that's the evil within.
[00:06:38] I beat that also.
[00:06:40] I beat that before I started playing Crow Country.
[00:06:42] That's kind of what drew me it threw me into the loving embrace of Crow Country because the evil within it I'm not going to roast it anymore.
[00:06:52] I kind of have been making people a little mad on Twitter because people really love this game but I don't think the people that love this game have played it in a while because it plays like garbage.
[00:07:01] But this is the thing right?
[00:07:03] Right.
[00:07:04] And the twist at the end didn't do anything for me.
[00:07:07] I didn't give a shit.
[00:07:08] I didn't give a shit about anything at the end and so that was unfortunate but I had all the DLCs because they go on sale for like one dollar all the time right for all three of them.
[00:07:17] Yeah.
[00:07:18] And so I picked one randomly because I was like I'm going to delete this game because it makes me mad but I'll try one of these DLCs.
[00:07:24] I randomly pick the executioner because that one just sounded cool and that one makes you basically the pyramid head of this game or the big daddy and you just go around in first person
[00:07:36] and just you're just beating the shit out of all the little dudes that that gave you trouble for the whole game.
[00:07:41] It is pretty funny really fucking fun dude.
[00:07:43] It's like I was like oh man why wasn't this game like this the whole time like because this is great.
[00:07:48] That's pretty good.
[00:07:51] I like it whenever they actually include good DLC that's not just you know challenge modes and stuff like that.
[00:07:57] Yeah like Resident Evil having fucking what is it called mercenaries mercenaries.
[00:08:03] Yeah.
[00:08:04] It's like they don't need to include mercenaries but it's in every game at this point.
[00:08:08] Great because Resident Evil specifically is awesome about having like now you unlock because you did so good you unlock the infinite ammo submachine gun.
[00:08:15] I'm just like that is so good.
[00:08:17] Yeah and now I get to go punish everyone.
[00:08:19] Like so I got the crow launcher for getting I got an A rank by the way for everyone who's wondering in crow country and so I unlocked the crow launcher and I don't know what that is but it's definitely got me thinking oh no I'm not going to have to play this game again right
[00:08:32] now because I probably with the with all the memories still fresh in my head could probably be lying this game in like five hours.
[00:08:39] I don't know man because like sometimes whenever you go back through a game I feel like I got confused whenever I went back into Resident Evil 4 no Resident Evil 2 remake or whatever because I'm like I just did it and then I went back as Leon or whatever and I feel like I confused myself like
[00:08:57] because I'm like I know how to do this with a statue in the book in the gym but I don't remember exactly where like that where you put the book with the gym type deal or whatever.
[00:09:08] There's like I'll get the battery before I get the C4 when I know I need the C4 but I don't remember where the C4 is.
[00:09:14] So like you're you're remembering the solution but not how you get to the solution.
[00:09:18] Yeah so like you don't know how to put the pieces together to put it usually you get the pieces first before you usually encounter the puzzle the puzzles in Resident Evil 2 at least that's how it seemed to be but I was encountering the puzzles without doing enough exploring I guess to get all the pieces.
[00:09:34] And I'm like crap I got a backtrack now. Resident Evil 2 is amazing just like Cro Country.
[00:09:41] So for anyone wondering I threw Cro Country in A tier here I'll post it in the thing or I posted it in the description.
[00:09:50] No I'm looking at it right now and I see that you placed it above Vanquish for some reason.
[00:09:55] I think I definitely so I really liked Vanquish but it's a slightly annoying.
[00:10:02] That game is obnoxious with the grenades exploding constantly.
[00:10:05] Yeah. Rockets the enemies running up on you got a melee and all that stuff.
[00:10:09] The only time I felt any like annoyance in this game.
[00:10:12] Well you get poisoned a billion times in this game so like that's pretty annoying but the only time I really felt annoyed is when I just can't fucking remember.
[00:10:23] I'm like dude there is a computer somewhere and I know I know it and I got the disc to open it up but I just can't fucking remember.
[00:10:31] And I'm googling and no one's telling me where it's at like oh my god the game's too new.
[00:10:36] Which is funny because I was running around and I eventually I was using so much health items that I was like fuck it I die.
[00:10:44] And so I just let myself die and when I respond I respond in the room with the computer that I saved.
[00:10:51] Dude I was like oh my god the computers right there and because this game is cool it's not like Resident Evil or Silent Hill where it's a fixed camera angle.
[00:10:59] You can 360 move the camera around so when I went in that room the first time to save I must not have been looking in that corner to see the computer there.
[00:11:07] And so I was like oh my god and that's how you get the flamethrower which is pretty fucking cool.
[00:11:12] The flamethrower is a beast. I need to figure out what I want to play next.
[00:11:17] Crow Country got me back on a high so oh yeah no wait wait so I put it in A tier.
[00:11:23] I moved everything I've been slowly moving things around the longer the further away I get from the Walking Dead the more I just drop them.
[00:11:31] Yeah I see that. It's kind of funny because it's like season one Walking Dead is like at the top and then the others are getting lower and lower.
[00:11:40] Yeah all the other seasons are in A. And so but I put it in between the final season and the second season.
[00:11:46] So above the second season below the final season.
[00:11:49] That's so specific.
[00:11:51] That's just how I feel. I don't know. I like doing this tier list thing because it really makes me think back.
[00:11:57] Like how do I feel about this?
[00:11:59] Looking at your tier list. I'm like ma'am maybe this is what we should do for the end of the year instead of doing our normal tournament.
[00:12:05] We just cooperatively build a tier list of the games.
[00:12:09] What? Cooperatively?
[00:12:10] I know. Instead of competitive we'd cooperate.
[00:12:14] All right well guess after after listening to the last couple episodes of me playing the Evil Thin where do you think I ranked it on my tier list from S to D.
[00:12:24] Are you looking at it? Yeah sadly I already know the answer.
[00:12:28] But honestly after watching your clips of you getting owned by a garage door for like three minutes.
[00:12:36] Did you see me? Did you hear the guttural scream I had?
[00:12:41] I had such an adverse reaction.
[00:12:52] Because literally, so it was the garage door but I shot.
[00:12:56] You see I'm aiming right at the dude's chest at the magnum which is a one shot kill on normal mobs right?
[00:13:02] I shoot. The bullet goes behind him like it went through him and then I shot again and it went over his shoulder.
[00:13:09] And I was already like oh my god I have to waste three bullets.
[00:13:12] And I shoot a third time and the garage door slams down before I shoot.
[00:13:18] And I went ahhhhhh.
[00:13:20] I just screamed so hard.
[00:13:22] Another enemy walks out right after the garage door opens and you shoot that one enemy and you instantly kill him.
[00:13:28] So there's just something glitched with this other guy.
[00:13:31] And you had the crossbow I think or just a bow and you kept trying to charge it up to shoot him.
[00:13:36] But every time he tried to charge it up he would win you with like anything.
[00:13:44] This fucking coward bitch.
[00:13:48] I hate this.
[00:13:49] It would randomly spit on you and make you flinch.
[00:13:52] And then it would interrupt your charge and you're like god I just want to shoot him.
[00:13:57] I just need to kill him.
[00:13:59] In that clip you can see me flip through my weapons really fast.
[00:14:02] And if you look real close you'll see that I have no ammo for anything but the crossbow and the magnum.
[00:14:08] So that's why I'm suffering so hard.
[00:14:10] It's because I don't have any sniper or shotgun or anything.
[00:14:13] It's just oh god.
[00:14:14] So I threw the evil then at the top of C tier.
[00:14:18] Higher than pow world?
[00:14:20] Higher than pow world.
[00:14:21] Lowest game you've played this year?
[00:14:24] Yeah.
[00:14:25] I didn't enjoy pow world.
[00:14:27] I only liked playing it with each other.
[00:14:29] I did finish it.
[00:14:30] You got to put it in another 90 hours.
[00:14:32] I got all the achievements in it.
[00:14:35] Well there's more achievements now but.
[00:14:37] Yeah.
[00:14:38] There's a whole story in the game too where like you go to the tower and become king of the whatever.
[00:14:43] Yeah that's how you get all the achievements.
[00:14:45] You got to kill all the dudes.
[00:14:46] I did it all.
[00:14:47] I mean I cheated it.
[00:14:48] I cheated it because you can like turn on a million percent experience and shit.
[00:14:53] So I power grinded for like.
[00:14:55] Oh accessibility your way through it.
[00:14:57] The Dark Souls community would spit on you for that.
[00:15:00] Well I think it's the rust community that would do that.
[00:15:02] Because this game is just rust but.
[00:15:05] I was going to say worse but like it's got its own thing going on.
[00:15:09] Yeah I like the crafting village that you make.
[00:15:13] Yeah I built a big ass house.
[00:15:15] And the best thing about power world was that I had that the human prison.
[00:15:19] You know do you remember.
[00:15:21] Did you know you never got to see it like you saw it with like two people in it.
[00:15:24] I ended up getting like 20 people like so there was just a zoo of people in this box.
[00:15:29] It was great because you could catch the people which was a horrible waste of resources because you have every person has like a 10 percent chance to get caught.
[00:15:38] Even with like the master ball.
[00:15:39] So you just got to waste all your resources on trying to do that.
[00:15:45] All right I'm done.
[00:15:46] The list.
[00:15:47] The list is looking good.
[00:15:48] How many games are in there.
[00:15:49] Four eight nine eleven twelve thirty forty five six seven eight nine ten twenty twenty one twenty twenty.
[00:15:54] All right so Crow country is number twenty three.
[00:15:56] I mean if you just pick some shorter games you could get a hundred games in a year.
[00:16:00] We're not even halfway through the year yet.
[00:16:02] This is yeah I am like over halfway to however many games I played last year.
[00:16:06] I'm pretty sure because I looked it up.
[00:16:08] I remember I don't remember I didn't write it down anywhere.
[00:16:10] I put it in the episode when we talked about it.
[00:16:13] So for my games this week I mentioned it earlier.
[00:16:15] I'm still I put in like five hours of Nino Cooney in between last recording in this one and they've remember out like you know so many pods ago I'm like I need to stop doing side quests and Nino Cooney.
[00:16:27] I come back around and they're like you cannot progress the main story until you level up your castle higher level by doing side quests.
[00:16:35] And I'm like oh my god I have goofed myself since it does like real time resource earning or whatever.
[00:16:42] There's been points where I've literally just been like I can't progress without waiting 20 minutes like for this thing to get done researching and stuff like that.
[00:16:51] Oh my god that sounds terrible.
[00:16:53] So instead you're supposed to go out and do side quests.
[00:16:55] Well technically you should have been doing this stuff throughout the time.
[00:16:58] Instead I did like five chapters back to back just mainlining each chapter without going back and checking on my village.
[00:17:06] And so now my village is super or my kingdom is a kingdom not a village is super under level for what it needs to be.
[00:17:12] But I finally did it.
[00:17:13] I got my thing.
[00:17:14] I got the Holy Grail.
[00:17:15] Oh and I got a screenshot that I want to show you.
[00:17:18] I put it in the notes.
[00:17:19] Yeah but I can't read I can't read these runes.
[00:17:22] Okay the runes don't matter.
[00:17:25] The runes say King Evan the boat preparations are completed but it's just the the gusto of this guy.
[00:17:35] You want to describe this boat crafter.
[00:17:37] Okay so he is wearing a tunic and a headband and on the lower body he has a tool belt and he's in his underwear.
[00:17:46] So his tool belt is covering his underwear in the front but the camera is on the backside.
[00:17:52] They gave him the Mass Effect camera of like right at his ass.
[00:17:57] It's like you look at all the characters like your your Final Fantasy party in there and you got everyone you know being really serious listening to this guy and you have that goblin in the front.
[00:18:08] Just one with a stupid mouth and that's Pongo eyes.
[00:18:14] He is the he is the protective spirit of your kingdom because each king is chosen by divine right and that is your protective God.
[00:18:23] You know what this reminds me of like you know how Mulan looks really stoic and then Mooshu is there.
[00:18:29] The cricket is basically what I'm looking at right here.
[00:18:34] It's just it's funny because it's just a stupid Studio Ghibli style game or whatever and there's just guy run around a whitey tighties with a tool belt.
[00:18:44] And this is where you wear to see the king because you know I'm the king here and you're just walking in my throne room.
[00:18:50] Execution in your tiny whitey's yeah.
[00:18:54] You can't execute people trying to think of a game that lets you do that maybe Bannerlord.
[00:18:59] Makes you a villain like you know civilization you can annex yeah he's always annexed the cities.
[00:19:06] That's my city now.
[00:19:09] Now just raise it destroy it.
[00:19:12] But Nino Cuny is good I'm very close to the end I think unless it's going to pull Dragon Quest 11 on me and then reveal a bigger bad but I'm approaching what I believe is the final fight with the big bad.
[00:19:25] So how long do you think it's going to take because when I was playing you were complaining to me about like Dave get on your own god damn it and then I was like dude I am I am at the end I've got to be like I was like this looks like the end if this is a JRPG.
[00:19:38] I would have 80 more hours left like this you know what I mean.
[00:19:42] I get down there and I would get to God and then he'd go through a portal and then I'd go after him into another world.
[00:19:48] I have already avenged my father's death which starts this whole adventure and dark god Godzilla has spawned.
[00:19:56] He had a meteor okay first off a portal open in the sky slight spoilers I guess for Nino Cuny to a portal is open through the sky a darkness meteor has come down from the stars crashing in middle of the ocean.
[00:20:08] Full of monsters and a giant purple Godzilla and we're on our way to go beat his ass so I think that's I think this is the end.
[00:20:16] That does sound pretty epic.
[00:20:18] Yeah whereas like the previous final boss was just the rat king because I don't know if you can tell but Evan he has cat ears he's a cat.
[00:20:27] Oh shit Phillip.
[00:20:29] What?
[00:20:30] I had an alarm set for 659 rather than 559.
[00:20:33] Oh this guy.
[00:20:34] Oh and it just went off and I turned it off oh man oopsies.
[00:20:38] Well that's why I was initially late.
[00:20:40] Oh okay.
[00:20:42] Besides Nino Cuny I've just been spending a lot of time working on my retro game library in retro arc and emulation and my crappy little gameboy and everything like that and going through the sweat of wondering why whenever I scrape box art for the Nintendo entertainment system I'm not getting the box art for my little games or whatever.
[00:21:02] Nave I'm such a fool because my directory was named FC for Famicom not NES for Nintendo entertainment system so when the program automatically goes into scrape it didn't scrape for the Famicom folder where all my NES games are.
[00:21:20] What a fool I was.
[00:21:21] That makes sense.
[00:21:22] Are you playing them and you're playing them in Japanese that's why it's Famicom?
[00:21:25] It's just that's just how it came from China.
[00:21:28] Oh.
[00:21:29] I mean that probably makes more sense.
[00:21:30] Yeah they named it Famicom and Super Famicom which I'm fine because the ROMs run on both hardware you know you don't there's no region lock.
[00:21:38] I don't think.
[00:21:39] I mean the region lock is that the cases don't fit.
[00:21:42] You can't put a Famicom in an NES but if you could it would run if you just did a you know disc to disc reader I guess or whatever just remove the case.
[00:21:53] Yeah just pull the plastic off and just only have the chip.
[00:21:56] The chip yeah.
[00:21:57] Push the chip down into it.
[00:21:58] So that's what I've been working on and it makes me want to keep looking at ROM hacks because there are a lot of ROM hacks for a lot of games and I just don't know how people have the time to live and play their video games and stuff when it's like every time I do anything I uncover a whole new bullshit I want to deal with or whatever.
[00:22:20] Oh man I want to play ROM hacks.
[00:22:23] Oh I'm going to play what.
[00:22:25] That's the thing is that when you like I don't know how people play the video.
[00:22:29] Well most people get on their Xbox they go buy and then they fucking play the game.
[00:22:34] You're like crazy shit.
[00:22:37] Crazy shit.
[00:22:38] There's so many games that have already been that they don't even sell anymore that are good games probably that I haven't probably.
[00:22:44] Probably this is why we watch the video the angry video game nerd he's the one plays it for us.
[00:22:49] He does.
[00:22:50] He just did an episode about how well was it I think it was the Dracula games again.
[00:22:56] It's like he revisit them again not Dracula.
[00:23:01] What is it called Castlevania?
[00:23:03] I mean that I wish I could play those castle.
[00:23:05] I mean I want I bought them so I mean maybe I will eventually.
[00:23:09] The OK so I know there was a there was a modern re-release report of was it the Game Boy Advance games.
[00:23:17] Yeah something like that.
[00:23:18] Yeah yeah I was looking at it too and I'm like maybe even though I already have them on my little my little game boy I'm like would I want this upscale to play all my series X.
[00:23:28] Maybe I have to see what they actually do for it as far as.
[00:23:32] That's what got me a Wii U like I'd one of one of my friends came over with the Wii U and started playing Super Mario Saga.
[00:23:40] What is it called Mario Mario Super Superstar Saga on the Game Boy Advance.
[00:23:45] I got everything mixed up.
[00:23:46] I was trying to say Super Pod Saga but sorry so but like they played it on my TV and I was just like holy fuck.
[00:23:53] That is a game that look at that.
[00:23:55] It's beautiful.
[00:23:56] It's huge.
[00:23:57] You can see everything.
[00:23:58] That is the thing that was like right now everybody is doing with the Wii U hacks or whatever people are using it to play 3DS games so you have the bottom screen on your little tablet and then the big screen on the TV.
[00:24:11] And it's touchscreen it works.
[00:24:13] Touchscreen works for 3DS.
[00:24:15] It's great.
[00:24:16] So yeah that's what I've been doing is more retro game not actually playing much but just a lot of library and management.
[00:24:23] Dude speaking of like ROMs and shit have you been looking into the stuff going on with Tetris.
[00:24:29] No.
[00:24:31] So like people are playing like the NES version of Tetris because I don't know and I guess the world record has been beaten again many times lately like many times because people learned how to do this thing called rolling which is like rolling.
[00:24:44] You have to roll yet a roll and tap.
[00:24:46] Yeah so you put your so for the listener.
[00:24:49] I'm holding my phone like they can see it.
[00:24:51] But so imagine an NES controller like you have the where your thumbs are that's where the D pad and the buttons are right.
[00:24:57] Well instead they flip it upside down where the D pads facing the ground and they put their thumb they put their thumb they put one of their fingers on the on the date on the D pad so that it's pointing in a direction and then they tap their four fingers on the bottom of the controller to push the button extremely fast.
[00:25:16] So like just tap your finger like that.
[00:25:18] You can imagine like a spider you know doing the spider so that's because the game is so fast the pieces at the end of the game will drop in one frame.
[00:25:28] So they have to instantly be making these like really fast decisions but also you could do it really accurately because if you only need to go three spots to the left you can only tap with three fingers and stuff like that.
[00:25:38] I am I think people should watch this like it's a fucking amazing but there was this one thing people were using ROMs because it gets rid of a lot of the weird bugs and stuff right.
[00:25:47] Yeah well someone realized that if you use the original equipment then there are game crashes effectively the end of the game like you have the game.
[00:25:59] So there was this guy that was racing to the end of the game like trying to get this bug.
[00:26:03] He knew exactly how it was like some crazy programmer like calculated it's like 100% chance there will be a crash if you do if you clear one line in the transition between level 125 and 126 or something and it's like okay I can do that.
[00:26:18] And so this guy was grinding.
[00:26:19] You also need your points to be a certain point to get like the buffer overflow to actually crash.
[00:26:24] Like you can't just like make it you have to make it with a certain number of points.
[00:26:28] It's crazy but like the person so this guy actually got beat to the punch by a teenager in Oklahoma.
[00:26:35] Philip did you know that?
[00:26:36] These kids and their TikToks you know?
[00:26:39] Dude and it's insane I watched the video and I was literally like this is uh I don't even know how to process the fucking information I'm looking at.
[00:26:47] You know what I mean?
[00:26:48] Meanwhile I'm playing Rock Band on hyper speed 4 and fucking sleeping.
[00:26:53] Well it's funny that they still play because it's like I owned a car on my NES growing up we had a copy of Tetris and we played that too.
[00:27:00] Like we played the crap out of it.
[00:27:02] It's just wild that you know 35 years later or whatever people are still playing Tetris on the NES.
[00:27:07] Yeah.
[00:27:08] Yeah and so a couple of days ago I was eating I don't know what a burger or something and a video popped up that was like summoning salt.
[00:27:16] Would you know summoning salt?
[00:27:17] Yeah I love summoning salt.
[00:27:18] He made a big video about Tetris by the way I'm pretty sure and so he was in a chat with one of the huge Tetris players and he told the guy was like I'm done I'm gonna go to bed or whatever.
[00:27:29] And he was like one more game and the guy's like oh a summoning salt says one more game I got to.
[00:27:33] And then he got the fourth highest score in the world like just on accident and he almost died multiple times.
[00:27:40] It was fucking intense it's like an hour long video of me just staring at this guy playing Tetris really fast.
[00:27:47] It's so intense but I don't know fucking love that shit.
[00:27:52] Yeah I love old games even if I don't play them that much.
[00:27:56] Maybe I'll play some rom hacks of some old games because it's like old games but new then you know.
[00:28:02] Yeah sometimes. I mean there are cool Pokemon ones right there.
[00:28:06] Yeah there's so many Pokemon ones but that's just at this point I have played Pokemon rom hacks like Pokemon Clover with Buttmeg or whatever his name was.
[00:28:16] Leaf Ass. What was his name?
[00:28:18] Grasshole.
[00:28:19] No it was Grip Ass.
[00:28:21] Oh no the one you played was Grasshole yeah.
[00:28:24] Yeah.
[00:28:25] I thought you were talking about that video of that guy saying Spidey.
[00:28:28] Oh no Grimer Nosepass.
[00:28:29] Yeah. It's fucking stupid.
[00:28:34] Holy shit that's stupid.
[00:28:36] Oh all right with that.
[00:28:38] Checking in with Nave did you buy any new games?
[00:28:41] Any good deals?
[00:28:43] No I am broke dude.
[00:28:46] I'm still so broke.
[00:28:48] I shouldn't have even brought Karo Country honestly but I've just been eating ramen instead of eating McDonald's.
[00:28:54] You know how it goes.
[00:28:55] I'm actually running out of ramen so that's not terrific.
[00:28:58] I see you still have the party juice on the trash can.
[00:29:01] Yeah I mean I'm a little hungover from yesterday from the beer like my friends came over and brought some beers they tried to play commander and well I mean they want to play rock bait but they're like we got to play a couple games of commander and I beat the fucking dog shit out of them again.
[00:29:14] There was one match where it was very close and I had this card called Solitary Confinement which is like you can't hurt me anymore but I don't get to draw a card I don't have a draw step anymore and every every turn I have to discard a card or I have to sacrilege.
[00:29:27] Or I have to sacrifice that and then I can be hurt again.
[00:29:29] And so I'm like just riding by the seat of my ass right now dude.
[00:29:33] And I have I have my commander out and she's unblockable but there's no reason.
[00:29:39] Well my friend Dantre plays a card that makes this thing called monarch appear which means whoever is the monarch gets to draw a card at the end of their turn.
[00:29:49] So I hit him with my commander with a unblockable.
[00:29:54] Yeah. And then since I couldn't be hurt he couldn't get he couldn't get monarch back.
[00:30:00] Yeah. And so basically without being hurt.
[00:30:02] Yes. So for like six turns I was able to survive off of that like just just get by a man it was intense but I was like dude I'm going to lose this fucking game and but my friend Jesse he had a card that was going to destroy something.
[00:30:16] And he was like I'm going to destroy that enchantment and I was like well I mean technically if I don't have any cards to draw then it'll destroy the next turn.
[00:30:26] Yeah.
[00:30:27] And so he's like you're right.
[00:30:29] And then he destroyed something else on my friend Dantre side and I was like oh fuck.
[00:30:35] That would have had me killed instantly like I would have instantly got ran over.
[00:30:40] Magic.
[00:30:41] Yeah these magic games get intense.
[00:30:43] All right. And with that let's thank our patrons.
[00:30:46] Berserker this insane Cappy no eight alone I said that wrong.
[00:30:50] Berserker this ko Cappy Mr. Queen insane cracker naked knight and the intergalactic pinecone.
[00:30:55] Thanks for all your support.
[00:30:57] We are once again we know we're recording on time this week so we should be able to have the episodes up early on patron even access to that and tons of more content that we will eventually put up there.
[00:31:09] Subscribe to our page.
[00:31:11] I don't think there's currently anything there.
[00:31:13] It was that naeve it's time to go on the Internet and find some assholes and see if we can help them out.
[00:31:18] You want to pick first this time.
[00:31:20] Sure let's do this one.
[00:31:23] Oh my god what is this is a novel.
[00:31:26] There's it's pretty long but this is a title is sure as something and the edits are on the top so that's new.
[00:31:33] Do I read the edits first I don't know where the edit one ends because it just goes straight into the fucking.
[00:31:39] Okay so yeah definitely read the edits afterwards.
[00:31:42] Oh I see Opie right here Opie original post got it.
[00:31:45] Alright so am I the asshole colon I'm worried exclamation point all my friends buying my son period ticket to New York City ellipses.
[00:31:56] This is like a fucking newspaper headline you know what I mean.
[00:32:00] Yeah.
[00:32:01] Alright this is by no sketchy vibes which is potentially main account.
[00:32:07] Yeah main account I'm looking at it.
[00:32:10] He's posting on a lot of LA stuff.
[00:32:13] Save the Olvera street borough.
[00:32:16] There's the donkey though look at the donkey I'm more interested in that.
[00:32:19] No that is the borough.
[00:32:20] What is it is that is that what a donkey is in Spanish.
[00:32:23] I think so you got me doubting now but I thought that was the thing.
[00:32:28] I have no idea I thought a bro I thought a bro was like a like a cul de sac or something.
[00:32:34] No well no that's a I think it's like a barrio.
[00:32:37] It is a donkey.
[00:32:40] Why do we got to do English chat every time you have I don't know.
[00:32:45] Borough is a town or district that is an administrative unit.
[00:32:48] Yeah so we're thinking but it's spelled way differently anyway this guy lives in LA I guess.
[00:32:54] Go say go say what's up if you run into no sketchy vibes tell him gaming together send them.
[00:32:59] All right.
[00:33:00] So original post my 25 wait a minute 25 my 25 year old son just told me that someone he has never met in person but has played video games online with for at least a year.
[00:33:15] He said years in quotation marks is having a birthday party and flying his online buddies including my son to New York City for his birthday party.
[00:33:25] Another of their online friends is supposedly flying out the same day and the two of them are supposed to Uber to this man's apartment to hang out for the week.
[00:33:33] This man is supposedly is supposed to be a wealthy I.T. person with a lot of money and a great apartment in New York City very far from where we live in LA.
[00:33:44] Well first of all so now I this is totally flipped in my head now is an online friend buying my son a ticket to New York City.
[00:33:52] My 25 year old son.
[00:33:55] You know what I'm saying there is an immediate like juxtaposition there.
[00:33:58] No hold on.
[00:33:59] He goes on he goes on.
[00:34:00] Yeah it goes on for a while.
[00:34:02] All right.
[00:34:03] I am half crazy with worry.
[00:34:04] I've asked if I've asked if I can have a name and address but my son tells me I'm being nosy and ridiculous when he was a teen our family went to Europe and we all met all of us together an online friend of his that he made playing video games and that person ended up being fine.
[00:34:21] My other son 26 just flew to another state to meet and stay the week with a couple he had been gaming with same thing wouldn't give me names or addresses and that couple ended up being fine too.
[00:34:32] Man these guys how often listener how often are you going out and meeting people like off of the Internet because their whole family's in on it.
[00:34:40] Yeah never never might well I mean that's a lie.
[00:34:43] I've met quite a lot of people from Facebook not from the Internet.
[00:34:48] I've met people from Facebook with the intention of like meeting in real life.
[00:34:52] Yeah like at concerts and stuff.
[00:34:54] All right.
[00:34:55] But anyway I but OK so I lied again I have had people from out of state that I met from gaming come to meet me like that has happened a few times.
[00:35:03] You've never been the one that stepped up.
[00:35:05] What if you were a serial killer or something.
[00:35:07] I always but that's another thing.
[00:35:09] OK I was going to wait till the end but I was reading this but it is kind of weird.
[00:35:14] So it sounds like I'll stop getting in my business.
[00:35:16] So dude your dad is just worried about you like give him the name and address of the place so that puts gives them some peace of mind.
[00:35:23] Whenever I have people come over to my house that have never been here before I always give them my my address and I always encourage them like right away.
[00:35:31] It puts kind of weird vibes out there for a second.
[00:35:34] It was like OK I did this.
[00:35:36] This didn't even occur to me but thank you.
[00:35:39] It's like dude give this to your parents or a friend your sisters anyone just any one person so that they you know where they know where you are and then you don't have to worry about anything crazy happening because I watch a lot of true crime.
[00:35:51] That's why that's in my fucking head.
[00:35:53] You know what I mean.
[00:35:54] And I'm sure this guy watches like the fucking cops or news or whatever.
[00:35:58] Cops news.
[00:36:00] Just get it when you go out to meet strangers tell someone where you're going please everybody.
[00:36:05] I mean even though it doesn't matter too much because if you have a cell phone you're being tracked 100 percent of the time anyway but it's like the police are going to write to yourself a provider and it doesn't matter anyway.
[00:36:14] But being flown out to NYC to stay with someone slash people you've never met for a week.
[00:36:22] My son is an adult so I can't stop him.
[00:36:24] I voiced my concerns and asked him to do at least some kind of background check.
[00:36:28] My input was very much not appreciated.
[00:36:31] Am I the asshole for being so worried and upset ellipses because I am ellipses old fashioned and have no idea how the world works these days.
[00:36:42] And then there's some edits but do you want to talk about it for a second.
[00:36:45] All right.
[00:36:46] The only thing I'm saying is like yeah he's 25 years old at this point you just let him get murdered if he's going to get murdered.
[00:36:54] I don't know if that's the you're not you're not responsible for him being murdered but I don't blame you for not wanting your son to be or like kidneys stolen or something you know something can anything can happen.
[00:37:06] You know what I mean.
[00:37:07] Yeah like I mean we've talked about it like I have older kids like I have a daughter who's 17 and you know I know her location all the time through the iPhone find my or whatever and whatever.
[00:37:21] It's like I could check her location anytime and I do maybe like once a week or whatever.
[00:37:26] I'm like hey I think she's out with her friends or whatever and it's 10 o'clock at night and I look over and be like yeah they're all just walking across base.
[00:37:33] I'm like that's fine.
[00:37:34] I mean I remember what I was doing whenever we would walk across town and stuff like that at late hours of the night.
[00:37:40] Sorry mama and my parents didn't know where I was on and I never got murdered or anything.
[00:37:46] You sure.
[00:37:47] Yeah.
[00:37:48] You think about think real hard about that.
[00:37:50] Yeah.
[00:37:51] So I think you just need to let your kids be kids even when they're 26 or whatever.
[00:37:56] Yeah.
[00:37:57] But your 20 year old 20 year old child almost 30 year old child be a kid.
[00:38:01] It's just it is it makes sense to be like okay this is weird because I think it's weird if someone bought me a ticket to go somewhere I would be very anxious the whole time.
[00:38:11] No he's very rich.
[00:38:13] Yeah.
[00:38:14] Well so are the fucking the not Norwegian the Nigerian princes you know what I mean they're also very rich.
[00:38:23] Be careful on the Internet everybody edit number one says I'm the one who encouraged him to travel through different states of the US and in Europe on his own when he was in high school and college this way this person's rich too dude.
[00:38:37] Yeah it seems like it.
[00:38:39] If you're able to travel in Europe on your own.
[00:38:42] In high school and college you're probably doing pretty well because that means that you're able to support your son through all this stuff.
[00:38:50] This specific situation feels concerning to me.
[00:38:53] That's all after careful consideration I think those of you who think I am the asshole didn't read the original post carefully.
[00:39:00] I think I oh my god these fucking I am not the other.
[00:39:05] I think I am TA because I haven't tried to stop him from anything.
[00:39:09] I voiced my concerns one X in a relaxed conversation and supporting his choice by taking him to the airport and also giving him a credit card to use just in case of need.
[00:39:20] You all have brought to my attention that cultural norms norms have shifted and I am adjusting my perspective to account for that change.
[00:39:26] I thank you all very much but your opinions have been really helpful.
[00:39:30] I'm less worried overall but still have concerns because the new social dynamics around online form relationships and meeting in real life are so unfamiliar to me.
[00:39:38] I think I don't think I am the asshole for being concerned for having one conversation about my concerns.
[00:39:43] I do wish he would at least run a background check on the guy.
[00:39:47] I would be the asshole though if I nagged her ass him about it and I and it wouldn't change his mind anyway.
[00:39:53] Be well. Okay so this guy has a lot of background check he's talking about.
[00:39:59] He just wants you to fucking throw his name up into Google or something.
[00:40:03] You can pay like ten dollars to okay so I watch these like YouTube videos of like predator catchers right and what they do they just be they just Chris Hansen people but there are some of them that will like hack into people's phones and like see what they're like downloading and shit.
[00:40:20] It's really cool. It's not cool at all actually it's fucking horrifying but what they'll do is they've used a service they like pay like 20 something bucks a month I think and then you just it's like the same service that like not detectives but you know private investigators use.
[00:40:36] You know what I mean. So it's just like he puts your name in there and it like searches through all kinds of documents and shit like just control F's a bunch of documents.
[00:40:45] I think that's probably what he would like but because I don't know man.
[00:40:52] See here's the weird part is if this guy is a wealthy IT guy chances are he has a what's that thing that people use for businesses.
[00:41:02] When you have a job what a LinkedIn LinkedIn that's it odds are he has a LinkedIn so if he knows his name you really look him up on LinkedIn and assuming he didn't just give you a fake name or something like that.
[00:41:16] Yeah well you'd be like this guy clearly has you know this is work history seems pretty stable or something you don't need a full background check.
[00:41:22] Well that's the thing but if he does have a fake name and he is wealthy but he's not an IT guy.
[00:41:27] If he's not an IT guy he sells his kidneys.
[00:41:29] If he gives a fake name then you're already a goner.
[00:41:31] Like I'm not going more than one layer check or deep on my background check.
[00:41:37] The thing that the difference is that I think this guy because he said he's been playing with them for like a year at this point it's like okay yeah multiple plural.
[00:41:47] It's probably okay you know what I mean like it's hard to maintain unless you're a sociopath.
[00:41:53] Well no because you should listen to Kit Boga like because he oh my god I'm on the YouTube I'm on it's a YouTube episode everybody.
[00:42:02] There is a fucking couple of videos by Kit Boga it's the crow pro saga have you seen any of those.
[00:42:10] No I've seen some of Kit Boga but none of them like a long saga.
[00:42:14] The longest one goes for like maybe two or three days.
[00:42:18] Dude the crow pro saga is insane and it went on for years dude and he has three he has now three videos that are an hour and a half long just hyper cuts of him interacting with these scammers that are trying to scam him out of his money.
[00:42:36] And he is just constantly fucking it up like he got one of them to sing a jingle because he's like what he's doing is like I'm going to invent a business called crow pro and it's good.
[00:42:46] I don't even know what it is I don't remember what it is at all but he made a website and he made he made a YouTube video that he got a scammer to sing a jingle for him and then they put like music into it.
[00:42:58] Dude it gets so crazy everybody please hit Boga crow pro there's three videos on it they each have like 500,000 to a million views like this is the shit I'm telling you when when you're done with the whatever you do when you listen to podcasts just do that and listen to this.
[00:43:16] It is the funniest shit ever.
[00:43:18] What was I bringing this up for oh yes people scamming will go for years like they will.
[00:43:24] Okay well no I mean he's paying for the ticket though.
[00:43:28] I don't scam.
[00:43:30] Well what is the okay hold on what is the price of a ticket compared to a price of a kidney on the black market.
[00:43:37] How much is a kid mark is going to put me on a list probably not illegal traffic organs are very expensive 500,000 to 120,000 that's way more than a ticket right so that's just a down payment you know that's just you know money up front.
[00:43:55] You got to spend money to make money you know what I'm saying.
[00:43:58] You are saying it.
[00:43:59] All right.
[00:44:00] I do second edit.
[00:44:03] My son is back and had a wonderful trip oh well there you go spoilers.
[00:44:08] He met a couple of friends for the first time IRL and the guy who paid for the trip is just a tech guy with enough money to fund hanging out with his friends on his birthday.
[00:44:17] The world is just so different now from back in the day when I was in my 20s it's also different for men and women still I think.
[00:44:25] Oh my god.
[00:44:26] What does that mean?
[00:44:28] I like this still I think even if you put it in like life is different for men and women like I don't know maybe.
[00:44:39] No it is.
[00:44:42] So in retrospect I don't think I was an asshole at all to those of you who helped me do a really scary moment as a mom of the analog era many things.
[00:44:52] Oh it's a mom.
[00:44:54] I thought it was dad.
[00:44:55] I thought why did I think it was the dad too.
[00:44:59] That's so weird we both just thought it was the dad that's crazy.
[00:45:02] Yeah.
[00:45:04] This is just this is the archetype of the worry mom suddenly I am so much more empathetic.
[00:45:09] You know what I mean.
[00:45:11] Yeah.
[00:45:12] Of course the mom is like shut up old man.
[00:45:15] What in the I don't know something in here just gave us dad vibes.
[00:45:19] I don't know maybe it's the way that she was writing like she's just writing like a dad with the ellipses and stuff maybe isn't much of a difference between men and women after all.
[00:45:31] Yeah.
[00:45:32] You see what I mean.
[00:45:34] This is I like this one she's not an asshole.
[00:45:37] No assholes here just a mom that cares.
[00:45:40] Yeah that was a good one.
[00:45:44] Okay let's see.
[00:45:46] Let's get one that does not sound fun.
[00:45:50] Now that we had a heartfelt one let's get one that's from the from the but I'm fucking staring at this hundred twenty thousand thing for kidney and I'm just like how do I get my own kidney out without dying.
[00:46:03] How do I do this.
[00:46:04] How do I enter this market.
[00:46:06] Okay this is a main account from what I can tell they post a lot on am I wrong.
[00:46:13] Oh they are spreading this around.
[00:46:17] Hold on this post that it was originally posted to am I the butt face looks like she reposted it to am I wrong.
[00:46:26] Is am I wrong more toxic let's I want to be in the more toxic place.
[00:46:32] Well there's more man this this is going deep.
[00:46:37] All right this lady is also posting in dead bedrooms with this with this exact one.
[00:46:44] No okay she's replying to someone else posting it never mind.
[00:46:48] It's not a post from herself.
[00:46:50] What is a bedroom like a sex.
[00:46:54] Oh I was thinking something way more morbid.
[00:46:57] Okay enough like so you know how people like will die in a family and then they keep their bedroom the same.
[00:47:03] You know like as they died is that not a thing.
[00:47:08] I guess it's not a never mind.
[00:47:11] Okay yeah she reposted this three times all in the same month to am I wrong am I the butt face and am I the asshole.
[00:47:19] So this isn't a man.
[00:47:21] Those are only posts but she's done a lot of commenting on just different stuff.
[00:47:25] Yeah maybe it was a burner and then she's like fuck it we both use it.
[00:47:29] I'll just use it yeah we'll do a live.
[00:47:32] So this is the same post posted multiple times damn dirty reposters.
[00:47:36] All right but this is on am I the butt face from Zesty close March 265.
[00:47:43] Am I the butt face for abandoning my husband after he threw a controller.
[00:47:49] Serious serious abandoned abandoned like was he at was he at Chuck E. Cheese like where did you abandon him.
[00:47:58] That is a good question.
[00:48:00] All right let's see.
[00:48:02] Hi Reddit this feels so stupid to be asking because I was so sure I was in the butt face but now I'm not sure my husband and I play games together.
[00:48:11] Today we were playing a new game together.
[00:48:14] He has dyspraxia.
[00:48:17] You know dyspraxia is no it might be relevant.
[00:48:23] Wait let me guess let me guess let me guess.
[00:48:25] Is it does he it does he just does he get mad.
[00:48:32] I don't know. Does he just get mad randomly.
[00:48:34] No it is a neurological condition affecting physical coordination but it can have side effects linked to getting lost having poor planning possible stuttering and messy writing.
[00:48:48] Oh see I saw the axia and I was thinking of dyslexia and I but I couldn't I couldn't wrap it up in my head.
[00:48:55] So it seems to be something with muscle control.
[00:48:58] Okay so he has dyspraxia and slips sometimes so he made a mistake and selected the wrong option and got frustrated.
[00:49:05] He shouted at the TV and threw his controller not at me I should clarify but I have a lot of what do you think the option was.
[00:49:13] Was it like was it in dark in Dark Souls or it's like do you want to be my friend and you say no and then you have to kill the layer.
[00:49:20] Yeah and then he is it a serious option or did he just accidentally select medium instead of hard or easy.
[00:49:26] I don't know.
[00:49:28] We'll see.
[00:49:30] Let's see he shouted at the TV through his controller not at me I should clarify but I have a lot of trauma around this sort of aggression and things like that.
[00:49:37] So I saved but my controller down and said I needed a break.
[00:49:41] I came upstairs and spent a couple hours doing some work while he apparently stood.
[00:49:46] He came upstairs and told me off for abandoning him when he needed me and making him feel violent and abusive when he was just being normal and getting frustrated.
[00:49:57] I just wanted to get away and feel safe and let things cool off.
[00:50:01] I didn't get upset or angry or try to make him feel bad.
[00:50:05] But now we're arguing again.
[00:50:07] So read it. Am I the butt face for abandoning my husband after he threw a controller.
[00:50:11] So when I when I first read making me feel violent and abusive I was like whoa you leaving is making him angry.
[00:50:22] But then when I heard you read it it made me it's like oh she's saying he felt that way when she left as a result of throwing the controller.
[00:50:33] So he felt violent and abusive like he felt like he was that not he is going to be that.
[00:50:39] You know what I mean.
[00:50:41] Okay he's definitely saying that she is insinuating that he is violent and abusive by leaving the room.
[00:50:46] Yeah just threw his controller.
[00:50:49] So yeah he thinks that she is being oversensitive to what is a normal reaction.
[00:50:55] Okay I would say while the reaction is probably more common than we would think throwing a controller I don't think it's normal.
[00:51:06] How many controller throws have you had this year.
[00:51:09] Does dropping the controller count that's throwing the controller so like going like my hands go up.
[00:51:16] My hands are no longer holding the controller and the controller goes somewhere but like not far.
[00:51:21] I think it kind of tumbles to the floor.
[00:51:23] I count that as a throw.
[00:51:25] If that counts as a throw then probably about six and I think at least four of them were just in the evil within alone.
[00:51:34] Because usually what I'll do is I'll like flip it like so I'll raise my hands and the controller will kind of flip for like a third of a second and land on the Ottoman and just kind of sit there.
[00:51:44] Like I didn't propel the controller like on I don't know.
[00:51:48] So probably about six.
[00:51:50] I cannot remember the last time I've thrown a controller if ever.
[00:51:56] Yeah, that makes sense because you have a lot more patience than I do.
[00:52:01] Your and you I get my from normal to annoyed is so much closer than yours on your little valve or whatever it is the little.
[00:52:11] Yeah.
[00:52:14] So this guy.
[00:52:16] Hi, honestly, this is tough because if on first look I'd say you know she's not the asshole for wanting to get out of a situation she felt as scary.
[00:52:25] But for a guy that is dealing with a disability and is incredibly frustrated that it is literally kind of ruining an interaction with his wife or whatever.
[00:52:37] And for her just to run away whenever he is struggling.
[00:52:41] I feel like that's that's a bit of an asshole move on her part, but maybe not intentionally is a problem.
[00:52:48] Yeah, I think it was probably just an emotional reaction to the sudden outburst.
[00:52:54] Which is normal, but it's like whenever you have like reactions like that, it's you can't really control them.
[00:53:00] You know what I mean?
[00:53:01] Like when someone does something really wild in public and you just start staring at them like involuntarily, like there are just some things that like our our fucking monkey brain will just like take over.
[00:53:13] You know what I mean for a little bit.
[00:53:14] And if you feel like you if you feel like there's some like too much negative vibes and you got to get kind of get some fresh air, then maybe that's for the best.
[00:53:24] I don't know how much she has to deal with this, which is something I wish you elaborated on because she never says she never really insinuates that he does this all the time.
[00:53:34] But I mean, the fact that it was something so small.
[00:53:37] That's why I was wondering what the option was that he screwed up.
[00:53:39] But like since it was so small because I get fucking dude, dude, it's not Bolotar because they're playing together.
[00:53:46] But if it was Bolotar and I accidentally fucking pick the wrong card instead of doing a flush, I got a high card.
[00:53:51] My fucking loss because of it.
[00:53:52] And I was playing that run for like 30 minutes and now it was a good deck and I fucking lost.
[00:53:56] Now I'm like, whoa, I'm getting mad just thinking about that.
[00:53:59] And I've done it a couple of times.
[00:54:00] So it's like there are specific like types of like mess ups in this of this variety that can be extremely annoying.
[00:54:08] But like, yeah, even to the point where like I would I don't know if I would.
[00:54:13] She said he threw his controller at the TV.
[00:54:15] So that is a large escalation.
[00:54:19] I don't think that really has anything to do with the the prac dis dyspraxia.
[00:54:24] Yeah, I think the dyspraxia caused it, but I don't think that the reaction afterwards was that so since he's saying that he felt violent abusive when she walked off and he was frustrated because of that,
[00:54:36] I think he probably was a little more frustrated himself than her.
[00:54:40] But he he probably felt again like like abandoned.
[00:54:45] Yeah, but I think that I don't know.
[00:54:52] There is a post that like I don't know which one this applies to.
[00:54:55] But someone just posted a picture that just says, you know, you made me feel my own feels, which I feel like this applies to both of them because it's like she's like you made me feel scared.
[00:55:07] Even though she wasn't actually in any danger from what we can tell.
[00:55:11] And so that made her leave the room.
[00:55:13] And he said, well, you made me feel scary because you act scared, even though he wasn't she wasn't doing anything to, in fact, make him feel that way besides taking herself away.
[00:55:24] So it's like they're both causing feelings in each other non intentionally that are causing this conflict.
[00:55:34] And now they're both upset because of how they're each reacting to the other person reacting or are existing and not existing like just the it is like the reaction to.
[00:55:47] So I think what what is there was an escalation during a controller isn't it.
[00:55:53] So saying he threw the controller, the TV, I assume is like that's a little violent.
[00:55:58] All right. Like throwing an object.
[00:56:01] He has dysphrexia. What kind of throwing can he do?
[00:56:04] This is no major league toss.
[00:56:07] I don't know. Well, and also, so if he felt like she abandoned him when she left, then the controller obviously wasn't broken.
[00:56:13] Right.
[00:56:15] How much does the effort to save her game and quit?
[00:56:18] Yeah. So I don't think I don't think they're hard enough to throw the controller.
[00:56:21] But I.
[00:56:24] I'm we know what's in my brain right now is the Super Smash Brothers in tournaments when people get mad at spike.
[00:56:31] Like the controllers. Yeah. Oh, it's so good.
[00:56:34] And then the other guy is just politely like he's like, can I get a ref over here?
[00:56:43] I just tried hard to not look at the guys.
[00:56:46] But yeah, I don't think ever last in the Smash Bros tournament.
[00:56:51] She would not like it is not her. That is not her environment for sure.
[00:56:55] I don't think I would last in the Smash Brothers tournament.
[00:56:58] I oh, man, I laugh too loudly.
[00:57:02] It's like I wouldn't be able to not laugh in that situation.
[00:57:05] Maybe. Well, I don't know. So I don't think she's an asshole.
[00:57:08] Like, I think I think she if she was gone for hours, that's that's the only the main thing that like I get hung up on is that she went upstairs for hours.
[00:57:20] And so I think that that probably made it worse.
[00:57:26] I think that if she went away for a little bit and then came back because it doesn't take too long to kind of like, oh, OK, that was that was dumb.
[00:57:34] I shouldn't have did that. You know what I mean?
[00:57:35] Like give someone enough time to do that.
[00:57:37] But if you like leave them for an extended period of time, that does seem kind of like a punishment in some way, even if you don't mean for it to be that way.
[00:57:44] I don't think she's an asshole again.
[00:57:46] So people are going to think that I'm trying to like blame her for something.
[00:57:49] I don't think that she really did anything wrong besides maybe it was a miscalculation to vanish for so long, because that seems to be partially why he's upset as well is that she just went away.
[00:58:00] Like I'm trying to imagine like, I don't know, like I'm playing a magic game and my girlfriend like I get it's like, OK, my girlfriend gets pissed off and I walk off and like just leave the room for a long period of time.
[00:58:14] Like for hours without saying where you're going, why you're leaving or anything like that.
[00:58:19] Yeah. I mean, she said something.
[00:58:22] But when she left, she said she needed a break right there in the middle.
[00:58:27] Yeah. A break is an hour's long.
[00:58:30] Yeah. A break is not an hour's long.
[00:58:32] So I understand where they're both coming from, but I kind of I'm leaning more towards that.
[00:58:40] The husband's a little bit of an asshole for freaking out, but this is not like irredeemable.
[00:58:45] And it's good that he feels self aware enough to be like you made me feel violent because that is the way that you slowly change that behavior.
[00:58:54] That's how I changed my behavior from spiking control.
[00:58:56] I used to be a controller spiker and when in my teenage years, holy shit, I probably have broken like maybe 28 controllers in my life, like specifically spiking them into the ground or into something and breaking them.
[00:59:10] You got to fucking reflect at some point and be like, dude, you know what I mean?
[00:59:15] Like the shoulders are expensive these days.
[00:59:17] Yeah. And controller with the fucking haptic feedback and the fucking rumble.
[00:59:21] Like, dude, you can't keep doing it, man.
[00:59:23] I haven't broken a controller in probably like six or seven years.
[00:59:29] I'm probably longer than actually I haven't broken a controller in like the entirety of the Xbox one generation.
[00:59:35] I don't remember when the Xbox one started.
[00:59:37] I've had controllers to grade or just the joysticks, you know, the triggers go out, the bumper stick.
[00:59:43] Yeah, it's like I do the fucking hand.
[00:59:45] I do the flip thing sometimes into the Ottoman and it's like you could probably say maybe I damaged a controller that way because my Xbox elite controller has fucked up bumpers, both of them.
[00:59:55] But that is a notorious problem with the bumpers in general.
[00:59:58] So even people who take pristine care of them, like after a year, those bumpers fail.
[01:00:02] So it's like that's just a problem with the internals of that.
[01:00:06] So yeah, I wouldn't count that.
[01:00:08] Yeah. All right.
[01:00:10] So I would weigh in and say that I think both of these guys are bit assholes and they just need to communicate better because he was he was in a hard struggle point.
[01:00:20] You consider no.
[01:00:22] No, this is like this is a better sense than you saying, oh, she never she didn't do anything wrong.
[01:00:26] I think she she could say that.
[01:00:28] Oh, I said that she fucked up.
[01:00:31] I said that she fucked up when she left for so long.
[01:00:33] I said that was a miscalculation.
[01:00:35] I don't think that's up and he fucked up by coming in swinging with the you made me feel violent or whatever.
[01:00:41] It's like maybe fucking talk.
[01:00:44] Well, actually, no, no, no, I like I like that.
[01:00:47] He's articulating how she made him feel.
[01:00:50] That's exactly what you're telling him to do is to talk to her about it.
[01:00:52] Yeah, he did come in swinging.
[01:00:54] Not that intro.
[01:00:55] He's swinging like that.
[01:00:57] You did this to me like he's coming in with that effort or energy.
[01:01:01] Yeah, I mean, but this is the thing is that that's how he that's how he feels like you got to get that out so that you can understand it.
[01:01:09] You know what I mean?
[01:01:10] That's what that is.
[01:01:11] You know what?
[01:01:12] Yeah, maybe.
[01:01:13] But it's like that's what a counselor will do is like how did that make you feel?
[01:01:18] And then that made me feel violent and abusive when she left after I threw the controller like I.
[01:01:24] It doesn't seem like they had a productive conversation afterwards because like obviously there wasn't a counselor there.
[01:01:29] It was them both probably annoyed at each other after so long.
[01:01:33] But it's like, yeah, you got to talk through it.
[01:01:36] And that's part of talking through it is to have that like what is internally going on so that I know where you are.
[01:01:43] Because if he does, if the wife doesn't know that leaving made him feel this way,
[01:01:49] then she might just assume that he thinks the exact same way as her.
[01:01:56] Like, he understands why she left and he understands that she has trauma that she brings up.
[01:02:01] She's like, I've got trauma around aggression and stuff like we got to remember sometimes even though we know our partners so fucking much because we're around them all the time.
[01:02:10] We don't know what's going on inside their heads.
[01:02:12] We just make assumptions about what they think and what they feel because that's the only way that we can process it.
[01:02:17] What's going on through our own lens?
[01:02:19] So I don't know.
[01:02:21] You want to bring in what read it as a extra third party in this one?
[01:02:25] Say, oh my God, it's bad.
[01:02:27] I was scrolling for a while.
[01:02:29] They are coming into the defense of this lady.
[01:02:32] They're like, this is the big red flag I've ever seen.
[01:02:35] Here's a hotline number.
[01:02:37] This is abuse.
[01:02:38] Call the police.
[01:02:39] The meme you were talking about in the replies.
[01:02:42] Yeah, I really like the meme.
[01:02:45] Oh God, there's so many people that are just entirely burning this man alive.
[01:02:51] Whereas I don't think he needs to be burned alive for this.
[01:02:54] I don't think so either.
[01:02:55] Like not even a little bit like that.
[01:02:57] That's why I said it's like I think it's like if I had to call someone the asshole, I'd call the husband.
[01:03:01] But I don't think that it's like irredeemable.
[01:03:03] No, I think that that's gaslighting you.
[01:03:06] He's manipulating you.
[01:03:09] He's actually abusive.
[01:03:12] Yeah, actually abuse throwing things is violent.
[01:03:15] Abuse is normalized as part of toxic masculinity.
[01:03:18] Jesus.
[01:03:19] Okay.
[01:03:20] Oh, hold on.
[01:03:21] Are we good?
[01:03:22] Like what are we doing?
[01:03:24] These are extreme red flags.
[01:03:26] Yeah, it's not normal to throw things when you're frustrated.
[01:03:28] If you're older than five, that's a fucking absolutely brain dead take.
[01:03:32] You can't go at people like that.
[01:03:34] Just completely dehumanize them immediately when they have an emotional reaction because that's not going to save.
[01:03:39] That's not going to help their emotional reactions.
[01:03:42] It's only going to make them low with people like you.
[01:03:44] Right.
[01:03:45] It is funny how anonymous comments are just coming in swinging.
[01:03:50] I want to leave.
[01:03:51] Can we leave a comment?
[01:03:52] I'm going to comment on Alexa play break stuff by not a great comment, especially on like how do you help people?
[01:04:03] Especially like how old is this post?
[01:04:06] Seven months ago.
[01:04:08] All right.
[01:04:09] Our post is up there, dude.
[01:04:10] Yeah.
[01:04:11] So on the Internet.
[01:04:12] Hey guys, go and find this.
[01:04:14] Am I the butt face post with our with our comments on it and vote it get us up there.
[01:04:18] Oh, God.
[01:04:19] All right.
[01:04:20] And with that, let's take a quick break.
[01:04:22] And then we know I spelled the biscuit wrong.
[01:04:25] I felt it the way it's normally spelled instead of the stupid way in the music plays.
[01:04:32] Limp Bizkit.
[01:04:34] Yeah.
[01:04:35] Just one of those days.
[01:04:36] So about the such fucking copyright claim right away.
[01:04:42] God damn it.
[01:04:43] All right now.
[01:04:44] And we're back.
[01:04:45] Headbangers Rhythm Royale Headbangers is a light hearted rhythm battle royale game where you and 29 other pigeons compete against each other all to complete your quest of claiming the title of master headbanger.
[01:04:59] I read that really weird.
[01:05:00] All right.
[01:05:01] So it's a game came out October 31st, 2023.
[01:05:06] Semi fresh.
[01:05:07] Not really.
[01:05:08] We originally tried to play this game back whenever first came on Game Pass, but they could not connect to the servers for some reason.
[01:05:15] Yeah.
[01:05:16] Very strange.
[01:05:17] Usually the opposite.
[01:05:18] I think he was dodging the game trying to get us to not play it actually.
[01:05:22] No, I defaults are gone because it was so long ago, but I had the VODs that showed that it just wouldn't.
[01:05:28] I'm always dreaming.
[01:05:29] I'm always dreaming when I'm playing something.
[01:05:32] The fucking evidence is there.
[01:05:34] So the full game is twenty dollars, but of course there are packages such as the deluxe and gold edition that are thirty dollars and then thirty five dollars and includes like the pigeon battle pass and that is I don't know.
[01:05:49] And then a bunch of bullshit like the soundtrack.
[01:05:53] Whatever.
[01:05:54] So twenty dollars for the base game.
[01:05:57] We played on Game Pass.
[01:05:59] I played it a little bit longer because my kids actually kind of like this game.
[01:06:03] Oh, he's watching it or whatever.
[01:06:05] Arthur was super into this as a almost two year old.
[01:06:08] He was hypnotized by the wacky little pigeons wiggling their heads.
[01:06:12] So I probably put in, I don't know, three hours on this game.
[01:06:16] I have to go and actually look, but it's not long, but it's enough.
[01:06:21] How many hours you think you threw in this bad boy?
[01:06:23] You were like, I left to put Arthur to sleep and I jokingly said you keep playing.
[01:06:28] You kept playing.
[01:06:29] You fucking told me to keep playing.
[01:06:31] I was like, all right, I guess because you're like, I'm going to keep playing this without me.
[01:06:35] I thought you were going to be back soon.
[01:06:37] So I was like, but then I started to lay a baby down.
[01:06:41] Dude, I got on a winning streak, brother.
[01:06:43] I was like, I was winning.
[01:06:45] All right.
[01:06:46] Hold on.
[01:06:47] Any preconceptions you had going into this?
[01:06:49] This game looks hideous.
[01:06:51] And it's the fucking rabid sounds that the pigeons make are awful.
[01:06:56] God, man.
[01:06:57] Wow.
[01:06:58] But that was my forget.
[01:06:59] I did not want to play this fucking game.
[01:07:01] So I was just taking live notes while we were playing and I asked you for first impressions and you just said, I hate it somehow worse than the rabbids.
[01:07:09] And you're referring to the Ubisoft rabbids that are in the Raymond series.
[01:07:14] They've got their own spin offs back in like the we era.
[01:07:17] Yeah.
[01:07:18] Yeah.
[01:07:19] Like so in my brain, bad mascots, it's like the rabbids and then under that is these guys, these pigeons.
[01:07:25] And then under that is the minions.
[01:07:27] What minions are lower than rabbids?
[01:07:29] Dude, I hate the minions too, man.
[01:07:31] I don't minions make me violent.
[01:07:33] They made me want to break stuff.
[01:07:35] Where where Pikmin on this list?
[01:07:37] Pikmin is up.
[01:07:38] Like there's like two spaces.
[01:07:40] But yeah, Pikmin are good, especially the fat one.
[01:07:43] The fat Pikmin.
[01:07:45] That oh, fat Pikachu.
[01:07:49] What is that?
[01:07:50] Yeah.
[01:07:51] OK, there's fat Pikmin.
[01:07:52] Fat Pikachu is like old Pikachu, I think.
[01:07:55] Oh yeah, you're right.
[01:07:56] I'm looking at it.
[01:07:57] Oh, before you got slim or just a round boy.
[01:08:02] I like fat Pikachu a lot more.
[01:08:04] Dude, me too.
[01:08:05] I love fat Pikachu.
[01:08:06] He's in the jungle.
[01:08:08] What is going on in the jungle?
[01:08:11] He's probably releasing the jungle set because it was like base set, base set two and then
[01:08:15] jungle set was like the third set, I think, for the Pokemon cards.
[01:08:19] There's no way that Pikachu is not released in base set.
[01:08:23] Well, I assume there's a base set.
[01:08:25] Yeah.
[01:08:26] Wait, which one are you looking at?
[01:08:28] You're looking at where he's like a low shot or you're talking about where it sees the whole body.
[01:08:32] The low shot.
[01:08:34] Yeah, I don't know which set that one was in.
[01:08:36] Whoa, look at this card.
[01:08:38] I think this is a fake card.
[01:08:40] No, this has got to be real because it's a it's five.
[01:08:43] Oh, it's Gigantamax Pikachu.
[01:08:45] Yeah.
[01:08:46] Back whenever Sword and Shield came out and they added Gigantamaxing, they brought
[01:08:50] back fat Pikachu as like a callback.
[01:08:54] Nice.
[01:08:55] Yeah, it is actually pretty good.
[01:08:57] I like, you know, Sword and Shield got some crap, but I feel like if we compare
[01:09:01] it to like Violet and I don't know.
[01:09:06] It wasn't that bad.
[01:09:07] It was kind of bad, but not that bad.
[01:09:10] I just saw there's a username on Twitter that says in the time of Champanzees, I was a monkey.
[01:09:17] What is that from?
[01:09:18] That's a gorilla song.
[01:09:21] There's no way that's a gorilla song.
[01:09:23] They say that in a gorilla song?
[01:09:25] They do.
[01:09:26] I'm trying to remember which one it is, and it's about like a volcano and monkeys, I think.
[01:09:31] And there's like a war maybe or something.
[01:09:36] A war?
[01:09:37] Maybe a war between like another race or something.
[01:09:40] Yeah, it's a gorilla song.
[01:09:41] I don't know which one.
[01:09:46] Oh no, I guess it was a song by Lazer.
[01:09:48] Yeah.
[01:09:49] Oh, no.
[01:09:51] What's the monkey song then?
[01:09:53] Oh, it's this fucking song.
[01:09:55] Yeah.
[01:09:56] Oh, in the time of Champagne.
[01:09:57] Okay, I got it.
[01:09:58] Yep.
[01:09:59] That was a good that was a good.
[01:10:00] I double down.
[01:10:01] It was definitely a gorilla song.
[01:10:03] You think that maybe there is a reference to it in a gorilla song.
[01:10:07] Anyways, we played the rock band mode, I guess, maybe a guitar hero, the battle, the dancers, which I don't think was there on day one.
[01:10:18] I think they added it later on and it is okay.
[01:10:23] Oh, yeah.
[01:10:24] Are you saying that because I cleaned your fucking clock?
[01:10:26] Maybe twice.
[01:10:28] You're like, oh, I beat the shit out of you in the quiz, yada yada.
[01:10:32] You only beat me twice there too.
[01:10:34] By a closer margin than I beat you in this game.
[01:10:38] And I can't hit notes for some reason to this one.
[01:10:42] Like, I don't know if it's some kind of delay because it's like I am running, you know, HMIs through an HDMI splitter through a sound bar into the TV.
[01:10:52] So I got a bit of an audio setup, their audio video setup going on.
[01:10:58] And then I'm also playing with headphones on through wireless controller.
[01:11:01] I don't know.
[01:11:02] Like I did the calibration one time.
[01:11:04] I got like 35 ms and the other time I got 25 and the other time I got 12.
[01:11:09] So I cannot get a good bass calibration going.
[01:11:13] I don't know what's wrong with me at the beginning.
[01:11:15] I did the calibration and it was like two.
[01:11:18] And so I was like, oh, I basically default.
[01:11:20] That's fine.
[01:11:21] If it works, which just seemed to work.
[01:11:23] You're on.
[01:11:24] Yeah.
[01:11:25] Yeah.
[01:11:26] But you beat me pretty easily.
[01:11:28] Like you barely missed any ever if at all.
[01:11:31] Yeah.
[01:11:32] Well, that was the thing is you got health bars.
[01:11:34] Yeah.
[01:11:35] So every time you miss, you lose little points.
[01:11:37] And then every time they every time you fill up like an attack bar, it shoots an attack over which damages me or you.
[01:11:45] And then like I think it has gives you great health.
[01:11:48] Like in what is that game?
[01:11:49] Bloodborne.
[01:11:50] Yeah.
[01:11:51] We're like, then you just like restart recharging the health.
[01:11:54] Or like combo.
[01:11:55] Yeah.
[01:11:56] A better way is thinking of it as like Marvel versus Capcom.
[01:11:59] Isn't aren't those games those games of great health when you swap in a character?
[01:12:02] So it's like if you're dying, you have a health bar where you're at right now.
[01:12:06] And then you can see where your health bar will come back to if you swap them out and they slowly start recharging.
[01:12:11] I think fighters is like that also.
[01:12:14] Probably everyone knows what I'm talking about.
[01:12:16] Yeah, great health.
[01:12:18] Yeah.
[01:12:19] But the thing that really fucked me up is you cannot hold a button after a long note is completed.
[01:12:24] You have to let up right at that point.
[01:12:26] Yeah.
[01:12:27] Like, you know, Rockman, you don't have to do that.
[01:12:29] DJ Max Respect.
[01:12:30] You don't have to do that.
[01:12:31] So I feel like that was like the one learning curve I had.
[01:12:34] Yeah, that's pretty common in a lot of like Japanese style ones like so the the ones I'm thinking of their who Suni Miku like Diva games.
[01:12:44] So like you do.
[01:12:45] So it's like another one is Yakuza.
[01:12:47] The Yakuza karaoke is like this too.
[01:12:49] And the way they represent that is that it'll be like B button and you see the line where you're supposed to sustain it.
[01:12:55] And then there'll be a B button at the end where you're supposed to let go.
[01:12:58] And this game, it kind of just has a circle there where it's like implied.
[01:13:03] You got to let it go.
[01:13:04] And that kind of transfers across different many games, too, which I was hoping this mini game would be in the fucking battle royale version.
[01:13:12] But it wasn't as far as I was not, which is kind of annoying because it does seem like a pretty like looking at it.
[01:13:18] It's like, oh, man, this is just like Fortnite festival or whatever, like we should go back and do for my festival at some point.
[01:13:25] I downloaded for tonight just to play a little for my festival because you'd like a science on a size on it, dude.
[01:13:33] And I think I should be on it, too.
[01:13:35] I think I should be supporting this fucking shit honestly.
[01:13:39] So you can play your Billy Eilish songs.
[01:13:42] Yeah, they're adding some rocks there.
[01:13:45] They're literally just like ripping rock band songs and just throwing it up on there.
[01:13:49] I think they have to reach out because they have to reach out the vocals, obviously.
[01:13:52] But I think they have to reach out the drums, too, because you got to there's no you can't connect drums to the fortnight thing.
[01:13:57] You have to play with a guitar or controller.
[01:14:00] Speaking of which, have you bought one of those new controller remake mad cats yet?
[01:14:05] Or they saw Scouts?
[01:14:06] No, dude, they fucking sell out.
[01:14:08] Dude, I was waiting.
[01:14:09] Not only was I waiting fucking Dantre was waiting as well.
[01:14:13] And both of us like they sold out in like fucking 10 minutes, dude.
[01:14:17] I hate the modern day.
[01:14:18] I hate it.
[01:14:19] Like it just makes me miserable.
[01:14:21] I remember when I walked into GameStop and got me a rock band.
[01:14:25] Okay, Grandpa.
[01:14:26] Oh my fucking God, I hate it.
[01:14:28] I was watching.
[01:14:29] How was it?
[01:14:30] The white dude, the real nerdy one that always talks about the Wii U.
[01:14:34] I remember his name.
[01:14:35] Scott the Was.
[01:14:36] That's him.
[01:14:37] Scott the Was.
[01:14:38] He was on.
[01:14:39] Yeah, you know what the reference is.
[01:14:41] He was talking about Amazon.
[01:14:42] He's like, I ordered a copy of another code, the remake or whatever for a switch.
[01:14:47] And he's like, I ordered it from Amazon as a preorder.
[01:14:49] And whenever it came out, they didn't have my preorder ready.
[01:14:53] So I had to wait an extra three weeks for it to come in.
[01:14:56] It was a code.
[01:14:57] I know another code.
[01:14:59] It's the name of a game originally like on like 3Ds is like a visual novel.
[01:15:04] And then they ported it to switch as a remaster or whatever.
[01:15:07] Anyways, not important.
[01:15:08] But when he's like, and then on day one, I went on there and they were selling it on the store.
[01:15:15] And it was like same day delivery or next day delivery.
[01:15:18] He could have just ordered it and they would have the next day.
[01:15:21] But instead, he preordered it in his copy of another code just wasn't ready yet.
[01:15:26] But you could still buy it.
[01:15:29] That would make me feel good.
[01:15:30] But then could you cancel the preorder and just buy it by it?
[01:15:33] I mean, you could, I guess.
[01:15:35] Yeah. Well, I don't see why not.
[01:15:36] That is so annoying.
[01:15:38] You said you might have to wait a day for the money to go back on your card.
[01:15:41] But that's it.
[01:15:42] Dude, so do you know the streamer Kai is like, hi, Sanat.
[01:15:49] I can't remember how you say I'm pretty sure it's Kai Sanat.
[01:15:51] So it's this guy.
[01:15:52] He screams.
[01:15:53] That's all he does is he screams really loud all the time about anything.
[01:15:56] He was reacting to like all the Drake and in kidrical.
[01:15:59] Oh, you don't really know about that stuff either.
[01:16:01] It doesn't matter.
[01:16:02] So this guy, though, he beat Elden Ring and it's a big deal because he's trash.
[01:16:08] It's like it took him like a hundred and like eighty kills like that to get through, which is still kind of impressive when you don't play the long long game.
[01:16:22] That's not too bad.
[01:16:23] I think, dude.
[01:16:24] But so I just found of I found a video of him every time he rages and I just clicked on random spot and he killed millennia and he's jumping around.
[01:16:34] He's like, easy.
[01:16:36] And then the cut, everyone knows the second phase is coming.
[01:16:41] He does not know.
[01:16:42] So he is slowly coming to the realization that she's about to get back up in fight.
[01:16:48] He is not happy.
[01:16:49] And I did he dies instantly.
[01:16:52] Like everyone died instantly the first time you fall.
[01:16:55] Spin move and just chops you instantly get the rod.
[01:16:58] It's over.
[01:16:59] It is.
[01:17:02] Yeah, I got here.
[01:17:04] I got to put this in the notes because I think Elden Ring DLC that's supposed to come out at some point.
[01:17:10] Oh, God, dude.
[01:17:11] I'm so excited, dude.
[01:17:13] By the time this episode is out, Hellblade 2 is going to be are you going to play that?
[01:17:18] That is supposedly only like eight to ten hours long.
[01:17:21] We might even what if we did a better off playing solo on that or something?
[01:17:25] Oh, yeah, I think that'd be cool.
[01:17:27] I don't I think better off playing solo got to throw it away.
[01:17:30] Like just let's just make it a normal episode.
[01:17:32] So that I guess, you know, where did my I think I'd close my notes.
[01:17:37] That's fine.
[01:17:38] There's not much in the notes.
[01:17:39] All right. So you won battle the dancers easily.
[01:17:42] Next up, the tournament mode, which is the main battle royale mode.
[01:17:45] The first one we played, and they've got second place and I got third.
[01:17:48] But we only had five humans and then was a 25 bots.
[01:17:53] Yeah.
[01:17:54] Whatever 30 minus five is.
[01:17:59] That's it. Yeah.
[01:18:00] So the most humans we ever had was like nine.
[01:18:05] That's it. The rest is just auto filled bots.
[01:18:07] Yeah. Yeah.
[01:18:08] I think I had a game with 11 people.
[01:18:10] But yeah, the game is a wasteland.
[01:18:12] But also it's not like it actually a wasteland because if you're finding a few people,
[01:18:17] that means at least the games are firing off.
[01:18:20] Right. Yeah. Because the games are constantly firing off like every 30 seconds.
[01:18:24] Like another group of people gets it's like a roller coaster.
[01:18:27] You know what I mean?
[01:18:28] So it's like people riding the roller coaster.
[01:18:30] It's just that like everyone's missing each other.
[01:18:32] Like there's five people in the cars and we have a full game of 30.
[01:18:36] If we just waited longer in the queue, but they forced the queue to only be like maybe two to three minutes long,
[01:18:43] which is good because I would have liked to see what a lobby with like at least 20 people were like.
[01:18:49] But I don't want to sit around and wait for a long period of time.
[01:18:54] That would make this. Yeah.
[01:18:56] That would fucking drive me crazy, especially when much like fall guys,
[01:19:00] there's multiple phases and you can be knocked out of phase one.
[01:19:03] We never did.
[01:19:04] I don't think but it's possible.
[01:19:07] I've had this fucking video playing and it's every time he raged.
[01:19:12] That's what I put in the nose.
[01:19:14] So he just gets fucking worked sometimes.
[01:19:20] It's really funny.
[01:19:24] All right. So I was going to pull up some of the mini games, but I don't think there's a point to the biggest one we need to talk about is the cowboy mini game.
[01:19:34] I hate that one.
[01:19:35] You don't want to work your way up to that one because that's what I feel the most passionate about a lot of the mini games just seem to be reskin versions of other mini games.
[01:19:44] Yeah.
[01:19:45] And all it basically comes down to is like there's a lot of rhythm.
[01:19:48] There's some sound recognition and there's a couple that are like memorization and the ones that really fucked me up are like memorization combined with rhythm.
[01:19:59] I just cannot do like the mine car one that I got third place in.
[01:20:03] There's another one that's like a mole game where you whack the moles and you're even watching.
[01:20:07] Oh my god, I was roasting you.
[01:20:09] You do it.
[01:20:10] And I'm like, do you know, I'm hitting the notes.
[01:20:13] I just can't hit it to the rhythm.
[01:20:15] Dude, it was I legit was like, oh, this is just a delay.
[01:20:20] Like I whatever he's doing, it's not what I'm seeing.
[01:20:22] But I was watching you play it for real.
[01:20:26] I thought I was just getting like a shit version.
[01:20:28] You know, sometimes you spectating games and they're all fucking lagged out.
[01:20:32] It'll just be like, hey, you go in a circle, a b x y twice or something like that.
[01:20:36] Like you're putting in a cheat code and I'm like, yeah, I can do that.
[01:20:38] But it makes sure you do to the rhythm of like bump, bump, bump, bump, bump, bump, bump.
[01:20:42] And I'm like, fine.
[01:20:43] And I'll start it and I'll either already be too fast or too slow.
[01:20:47] So I'll miss the first bump.
[01:20:49] And that means I am missing every bump after that.
[01:20:52] So while everyone else gained eight points, I got negative eight points.
[01:20:57] Yeah, it's all I didn't hit it.
[01:20:59] I missed and I did the same thing on the mine card too.
[01:21:05] There. So whenever I was playing, I ran into somebody.
[01:21:08] Do you want to talk about this person or do you want to talk about the games?
[01:21:11] No, we never talk about this person because this was actually really funny.
[01:21:16] You found our context for context.
[01:21:18] For context, I at the end of the night, this happens somewhere in the middle.
[01:21:23] But I basically I won, I think, like seven games and I only lost like four.
[01:21:30] No, I lost five because I lost the last one too.
[01:21:33] So it's like I went seven and five.
[01:21:35] I was fucking killing it.
[01:21:37] But two of these games was this person that we're about to talk about now where this guy came in.
[01:21:42] And I was absolutely sure that he was fucking cheating because he was just blowing everyone out like he was destroying our asses.
[01:21:51] Which looking at it, oh, no, these are last month or whatever.
[01:21:54] I'm like, oh, man, are you actually in like this VOD with them right now?
[01:21:57] But I guess not. But yeah, his name is Mr. Kyle.
[01:22:01] You specifically like Mr. Kyle. Mr. Kyle.
[01:22:05] Mr. Kyle, it's funny because in your stream, which somebody popped into your stream, it was watching you play this pigeon game while I was putting on that, which already someone that specifically likes to watch people play this pigeon game.
[01:22:19] We got to give a shout out to him. His name is way protein.
[01:22:25] But it's a way W.A.Y. not W.E.Y. like the actual protein is he's the biggest twitch headbangers fan.
[01:22:34] Yeah, he knows the lore. He knows the cast.
[01:22:37] It's so funny. And so he comes into your chat and you're like, oh my God, I can't believe Mr. Kyle, you know, be me. He's got to be a cheater.
[01:22:45] There's no way this dude's not body or whatever.
[01:22:47] And the way protein comes in and he's like, Mr. Kyle is actually a streamer himself. He's not a cheater. You just got beat. Go check the VODs.
[01:22:55] Yeah. And then I was like, and so I saw it and I was like, I was like, there's no way he's real.
[01:23:00] Holy shit. He's real. And then he was like, yeah, yeah, go check the VODs.
[01:23:04] Yeah. Looking back, Mr. Kyle, he only streams three categories and it's music and just chatting and headbangers.
[01:23:14] This guy is dedicated, man. He's also on PC. So it makes me wonder if there is that's got to be a there's got to be an advantage to that.
[01:23:23] I wasn't thinking lazy. I was thinking like just using the keyboard. Maybe the buttons are just button.
[01:23:30] Yeah. It's like using DJ Max is playing DJ Max with the keyboard instead of a controller like we did that like we both abandoned the controller
[01:23:38] because at some point you can't play the controller effectively anymore.
[01:23:42] Like, yeah, when you're starting to hit multiple buttons and once it's like fucking impossible.
[01:23:47] Yeah, there were some mini games that where you were like, for instance, the the alien spinner one where you need to hit multiple buttons.
[01:23:55] It's like a single thumb can't do it. You got to do the claw.
[01:23:58] You're doing the rolling tap on top of the controller.
[01:24:02] So it is funny that you found the number one headbangers fan on Twitch and apparently also the number one Twitch streamer of this game because that guy fucking murdered me.
[01:24:14] Yeah, it's pretty funny.
[01:24:16] It's like he's like the stream just in his off time.
[01:24:18] He's playing this game for fun because he was not live last night.
[01:24:23] Yeah.
[01:24:24] I wonder that guy, the guy, the number one fan must have been like, oh my God, it's Mr. Kyle in the lobby.
[01:24:30] He has no idea.
[01:24:31] Like he has no idea what's about to happen to him.
[01:24:34] And then I just lose because you have to hold down a button to see the other person's name.
[01:24:38] So that means you're watching with enough detail to see who your opponent was the second you click the button.
[01:24:44] And the funny thing was is that I'm pretty sure the first match of the first game in the first match I fought him, I beat him.
[01:24:51] So I think I beat him and he's like set forward.
[01:24:54] He's like, oh, he's like an actual challenge.
[01:24:57] And then he beat the breaks off of me in every other game.
[01:25:00] Which we talk about the cowboy mini game.
[01:25:02] This is like a duel.
[01:25:03] So instead of just being like, hey, you need to be in the top 20 percent to qualify instead.
[01:25:08] It's like you are going to go one V one and you know someone's not going to make it.
[01:25:14] And so there's a chance you go against Mr.
[01:25:17] Kyle or you go against someone I was going is who had the slowest reaction time I've ever seen in a player because like it all is is like, hey, the second you hear a donkey sound, press the A button.
[01:25:30] So it's like, yeah.
[01:25:31] And then you press the A button and I'm like, great.
[01:25:33] And then it pops up and it's like, oh, Dr.
[01:25:35] Tov or Philip got point four seconds on that response.
[01:25:39] I'm like, that's pretty good.
[01:25:40] That's pretty fast.
[01:25:41] Human is a response rate for sounds for sound recognition.
[01:25:44] Then my opponent is like a second in force, one point four seconds or something like that.
[01:25:50] And I'm like, oh, my God, Nave, this guy is the slowest guy I've ever seen.
[01:25:55] This happened every time we played the game, except for once where Philip would get the worst opponent.
[01:26:01] But every time I played this game, I lost again, except for one time.
[01:26:05] It's because I would get the sweatiest motherfucker in the whole lobby that would get it like a half of a second faster than me or not have a second point.
[01:26:14] Oh, my God.
[01:26:16] And I would just every time I'd have it, I go, no way.
[01:26:19] Like, like, I would go zero and four.
[01:26:22] I would lose completely.
[01:26:23] I get blown out.
[01:26:25] Oh, man.
[01:26:26] And then I would lose and I had this tiny little time.
[01:26:29] And then I'd see the bottom, like the bottom two thirds of the fucking lobby that survived have like a whole second reaction time.
[01:26:36] I'm just like, fuming.
[01:26:38] My head is red.
[01:26:39] Like, I'm enraged.
[01:26:41] Which we did get to go to head ahead with each other on this one.
[01:26:44] And it was one of the sweatiest matches.
[01:26:47] Just getting that reaction because we're just both not talking because we're listening so hard.
[01:26:53] I got to hear the duck noise when the duck quacks.
[01:26:56] I'm mashing this button and we were getting some so fast times a lot of point.
[01:27:00] I think there's like one of us got like a point three seven or something like that at one point.
[01:27:05] We it was like Goku and Vegeta in the hyperbolic time chamber.
[01:27:09] Like we were not fucking around.
[01:27:11] And the funny thing was listening to laser gun sound effects.
[01:27:14] Dude.
[01:27:15] And so the funny thing was, is like, I got so I won the first one and then I won the second one.
[01:27:20] And I was just like, oh, I've got this.
[01:27:22] And so I just kind of like, okay, I got this.
[01:27:24] He's he's bad at this.
[01:27:25] And then you won the second third one.
[01:27:27] I was like, okay, whatever.
[01:27:28] And then you on the fourth one.
[01:27:30] And so the way that you win, you have to get four points.
[01:27:32] Like someone has to get four points.
[01:27:34] It's the best out of seven.
[01:27:35] And so I was like, oh shit, we're tied.
[01:27:37] And I think I wanted that you would do it was like back and forth all the time.
[01:27:41] It was never it was never like a blow up.
[01:27:44] I think this will be a good point to raise up.
[01:27:46] This game requires focus.
[01:27:48] It seems like a silly party game.
[01:27:50] And it is even more than fall guys or even for night or anything like that.
[01:27:54] But this game demands your attention.
[01:27:56] You cannot multitask.
[01:27:58] You cannot even have like another person talking to you in the room because of how how focused you are, because like Arthur's over in the corner doing front flips with my husky and the Janis like playing the Sims and she'll talk to me a little bit.
[01:28:10] And I'm like, I can't talk right now.
[01:28:12] I have to listen for the cow sound effect like dude.
[01:28:15] And one of the times that I won, Philip was the second to last game that we played.
[01:28:19] I ended up winning that one and my friends, Don, Trang, Jesse came over to play magic.
[01:28:23] They knocked on my door and Molly's freaking the fuck out.
[01:28:26] And I'm on the last game where I am against the last five people.
[01:28:31] And we are all like doing this battle to the death thing.
[01:28:34] I don't remember which one it was.
[01:28:35] Oh, it's like the drill sergeant one.
[01:28:37] So like you have to press the button.
[01:28:40] And I was like locked in.
[01:28:42] And all I hear is Molly fucking losing her mind.
[01:28:46] I hear my friends like banging because they know I'm home.
[01:28:50] They can hear me on the other side of the door.
[01:28:51] And I'm like, I'm like, hold on.
[01:28:54] Give me a minute.
[01:28:56] I just like I can't fucking I can't fucking.
[01:28:58] I make the pigeon dance.
[01:29:00] I got to dance.
[01:29:01] Oh, my God.
[01:29:02] And I but dude and I won and I was like maybe I'll throw I make a vaudev and I'll throw it in here because I was like that's me.
[01:29:09] I fucking legit had like a fucking whoever you are.
[01:29:12] I am stupid, which then you're like you're like, oh, this is the last one because my friends are here and you got knocked out like round two.
[01:29:20] I went on to win that one.
[01:29:22] We're getting like first place.
[01:29:23] Yeah.
[01:29:24] And I'm like, this is easy.
[01:29:26] Easy mode.
[01:29:27] Of course, like we got down.
[01:29:28] It's so funny because like we did a video game.
[01:29:31] Did you do the video game ending yet?
[01:29:34] Where you got to hit the thing up high or down low.
[01:29:36] Yeah.
[01:29:37] That was one of them that I lost because I got to that one and I hit the it was two A buttons and then the X button and I just hit A again.
[01:29:44] I just was like totally zoned out and I was like, oh fuck.
[01:29:47] It was really lost.
[01:29:49] We went in there.
[01:29:50] It was four humans including me and a bot.
[01:29:54] What first?
[01:29:56] Yes, a bot made it to the final round.
[01:29:58] The first obstacle or whatever all three of the humans besides me died instantly.
[01:30:04] So it was me and the bot that went on for like, I don't know, it lasted for like a minute of him just not missing.
[01:30:13] I'm like, am I going to lose?
[01:30:15] The funny thing about that game is that it doesn't end whenever everyone dies.
[01:30:21] It just keeps going and I kept going.
[01:30:23] So I'm like, how far can I go?
[01:30:24] That was the thing.
[01:30:25] But I wasn't thinking that.
[01:30:26] I thought that because a lot of the games they have you're playing independently of anyone else.
[01:30:32] So no one sees what you're doing.
[01:30:33] Everyone's got their own thing that they're doing.
[01:30:35] And so I was just under the impression that I wasn't the last one left.
[01:30:39] So I was just totally keyed in and then whenever it ended, it was like I had like 98 hits and then the next process person had like 21.
[01:30:51] So I was just in it for like an extra three minutes just like worried.
[01:30:55] You know what I mean?
[01:30:56] You know what I mean?
[01:30:57] I was like, whoever's with me is fucking murder because every other game ends instantly as soon as everyone's dead.
[01:31:03] Right. Yeah.
[01:31:04] I don't know.
[01:31:05] It's funny though.
[01:31:06] All right.
[01:31:07] I see you grabbed a steam review.
[01:31:12] Yes.
[01:31:13] You want to read that?
[01:31:14] That's the only one I did not read it.
[01:31:16] So I saw I read like the first sentence.
[01:31:17] I was like, OK, and I just grabbed.
[01:31:19] I mean, it's a lot.
[01:31:20] This is from toast with three hours on record.
[01:31:22] It was a recommend.
[01:31:23] He says, imagine a pigeon with a top hat, sunglasses and a gold chain around its neck, rapping to the beat of the music.
[01:31:31] The pigeon is so good that it makes other pigeons bow to it.
[01:31:35] The pigeon then proceeds to do the moonwalk while wearing a pair of red sneakers.
[01:31:39] Suddenly, a power up appears in the pigeon grabs it.
[01:31:42] The power up turns the pigeon into a giant pigeon and starts to head bang so hard it creates a mini earthquake.
[01:31:49] The other pigeons are so impressed that they start to cheer and throw crumbs at the pigeon.
[01:31:53] The pigeon then takes off its sunglasses and says, I'm the master head banger, baby.
[01:32:00] Yeah. Imagine that in the Duke Nukem voice right at the end.
[01:32:04] It's so stupid.
[01:32:05] I'm the master head banger, baby.
[01:32:08] So maybe if they mentioned the power ups, the power ups are interesting because they just come in randomly and you have to press one of the triggers to grab it.
[01:32:16] It makes your guy shoot his tongue out.
[01:32:18] And it's funny because like back whenever I was playing, you know, when I played this game at launch and there were 30 live players, a power would come out in so many tongues.
[01:32:28] We instantly launch out for the bots.
[01:32:30] They don't go for the power ups with all the players do.
[01:32:33] And you just see these like strings shoot out of the crowd and try to grab the letters from that literally like the lickers.
[01:32:41] Some of the power ups are good, but a lot of them are just like bonuses.
[01:32:44] Like it's like, oh, you get bonus bread after this for the battle pass or whatever or for the cosmetics.
[01:32:50] Now, that kind of sucks because I want to win.
[01:32:53] I don't want bread.
[01:32:54] Yeah, I think one of them gives you extra score.
[01:32:57] Like, like it helps you score in the game.
[01:32:59] And then one of them, a handful of them will fuck with the other people like some will distort the audio.
[01:33:05] Some will. I don't know if it affects you because it says it doesn't.
[01:33:08] But I would get a power up and it would affect me.
[01:33:11] Like I would get distorted audio too.
[01:33:13] And I'm like, this fucking sucks.
[01:33:15] Like I can't fucking hear.
[01:33:16] But I don't know if someone else used it.
[01:33:18] I don't know if he had to press a button to use them or something because most of them just happen as soon as they happen.
[01:33:23] So the one that is the most helpful is there's one that will give you the answer of the next thing that's going to happen.
[01:33:30] So it'll just highlight it and it will instantly be like, oh, that the funny thing is, is when me and Philip were doing the one V one cowboy game,
[01:33:38] the answer one that was like, oh, it will tell you exactly when the fucking cow moo noise is going to happen.
[01:33:44] Right. So I wasn't listening at all through my nose running so hard.
[01:33:48] I wasn't listening at all. I was literally just staring at because on the screen there was a word that said, wait for it.
[01:33:53] And then as soon as it changed, I hit the A button instantly.
[01:33:56] And I'm like, I fucking murdered film.
[01:33:58] But it changed from like, wait for it to get ready and not hit the button.
[01:34:03] And so I instantly fucked up. Oh, no.
[01:34:06] All right. Yeah, what a fool I was. You won anyways.
[01:34:12] All right. I don't think I have any more meat points for this one. Do you have anything?
[01:34:16] We can talk about the cosmetics, I guess, some of the sillier aspects.
[01:34:19] There's tons of cosmetics. You can super customize your bird.
[01:34:22] There's some that require like battle pass currency if you buy the battle pass or pigeon mass.
[01:34:29] But a lot of them can be bought with bread and it does the rotating thing like
[01:34:35] what's called Hot Wheels did where the new store comes in every couple hours or whatever.
[01:34:40] Oh, yeah. Fall Guys does it to Fortnite.
[01:34:42] That's that's pretty common games like this. Yeah.
[01:34:44] So it's like, hey, you can come back and come check out the store every two hours whenever you get more bread,
[01:34:50] which is funny. The bread is the money.
[01:34:52] What is your pigeons and bread? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:34:55] Get that dough. So that's cute.
[01:34:59] Next is at any point in the game, you can use the sticks to move your pigeons head
[01:35:04] and make it waggle around and also makes it make noises like like the whole time.
[01:35:10] And the funny thing is at the beginning of every game, like no one's doing it.
[01:35:14] And then I'll start doing it. And then everyone's like, oh, yeah, everyone waggle.
[01:35:19] Another thing is in many games too.
[01:35:21] Yeah. So during the mini games, eventually at one of the rounds will have a bonus round like charge up thing
[01:35:28] and the bonus rounds happen in between the rounds.
[01:35:30] They're just like little mash the A button or whatever.
[01:35:32] And so but the way that you charge it up is you spin your head and everybody contributes to that.
[01:35:38] So the bots always instantly start doing it.
[01:35:42] It's the moment that I'm such you just see fucking twenty five pigeons start fucking swinging their heads around.
[01:35:48] And I'm just like, oh, the bonus round. Yeah, by the way, I never did it.
[01:35:52] I stopped doing it because I'm like this is literally just only distracting me and it gets charged up anyway
[01:35:57] because all the bots are doing it. So yeah, we really don't need to do it.
[01:36:00] Plus, it's only for more bread, which, like I stated before, I don't care about the cosmetics or money.
[01:36:05] I'd rather just focus on winning because I'm all about winning.
[01:36:11] All right. I don't think we have any more meat points for this.
[01:36:14] Let's take a quick break and then we hit the final words.
[01:36:16] Music plays.
[01:36:18] Just one of those days.
[01:36:27] He said she said bullshit.
[01:36:30] Oh, fuck yeah. All right.
[01:36:32] Headbangers, Rhythm Royale. I'll take this first.
[01:36:34] Final words, Nave.
[01:36:36] This game is tough.
[01:36:40] I'm still alive on Twitch. God damn it.
[01:36:42] This whole time. Yeah.
[01:36:44] Just like streaming the fucking end screen for Crow country.
[01:36:48] This is going to be a recommend for me, but it's going to be a recommend for a weekend.
[01:36:53] If that like this is not a game you come back to.
[01:36:56] Like I don't think I'm ever going to return to this game.
[01:37:00] It would suck to buy this for twenty dollars and then not play it.
[01:37:03] Especially it's like there's no local co-op.
[01:37:05] Like I don't I feel like this could have local co-op or something like this could be a good
[01:37:11] almost like Mario Party replacement for rhythm or whatever.
[01:37:14] So you can be like, shut the fuck up so we can hear the TV and hit these notes.
[01:37:19] But like since it's single player only unless you're playing Battle Royale, you know, with your friends online,
[01:37:25] you can't like pick what many games you want to play.
[01:37:28] It's all randomized, which means we did the cowboy mini game six times in a row.
[01:37:34] So this is a recommend once on Game Pass, then probably never again.
[01:37:39] That's that's my recommendation.
[01:37:42] And unfortunately, the longer the more separated from when you hear this episode,
[01:37:48] the less people are going to be on the game servers.
[01:37:51] So but it does populate with bots.
[01:37:53] It's like if you can get some people together, it's since it's on Game Pass,
[01:37:57] the entry level is really low.
[01:37:58] So we could probably get some people in the discord and be like, hey, download this one gigabyte game maybe.
[01:38:05] And then let's just do some stupid shit because you can join make a party and then join it.
[01:38:10] I don't know how big the party goes because again, it was just me and Phil playing.
[01:38:13] But even then, if it's only like a four person party, you could literally just like everybody press a the same time
[01:38:20] and will join up. That's how low the population was.
[01:38:24] Yeah. All right.
[01:38:26] And with that, Naive, what are we playing next week?
[01:38:30] Uh, whatever I was talking about last time.
[01:38:34] Miner's drill galactic. Yeah.
[01:38:37] Finally, we'll get into it. Play some real games.
[01:38:40] Time to shoot. I think it's a shooter, right?
[01:38:43] Yeah, it's a shoot. I always thought this was Dwarf Fortress.
[01:38:45] So I just stopped paying attention. I was like, I don't want to play Dwarf Fortress.
[01:38:48] I don't think I mean, have you ever watched anyone play Dwarf Fortress?
[01:38:52] No, I probably have to do that.
[01:38:54] I mean, I've been literally watching people play Tetris.
[01:38:56] I don't know what I'm talking about.
[01:38:58] It looks old and then I'm watching someone.
[01:39:02] The amount of knowledge it takes to play Dwarf Fortress seems insane
[01:39:06] because it's like Oregon Trail, but what it was fancy fantasy.
[01:39:10] And there's like, you know, a huge generated world.
[01:39:13] Oh, my God. Hey, that guy that I was just talking about with
[01:39:18] the guy that summoning saw came in was like one more game.
[01:39:21] And then he got the fourth ice score. He's literally playing right now.
[01:39:24] He's live streaming. He just started live streaming like 20 minutes ago.
[01:39:27] He's doing a run. If you want to watch it, Philip here.
[01:39:30] This might be what I do because I'm done with Crow country.
[01:39:35] Stream. Hi.
[01:39:39] So he's only on level 19 right now because I think that's as high as you could start his level like 18.
[01:39:44] And then so right now at level 19, the it takes two seconds for the things to drop.
[01:39:51] But as soon as he gets to level 20, I think, which is should be in like four lines.
[01:39:56] It is going to fucking start hauling ass.
[01:39:58] But then it can't possibly go any faster, like it can't go any faster than one second per per drop or one frame per drop.
[01:40:07] Or what is it? I don't remember.
[01:40:09] I don't know what he's supposed to.
[01:40:11] What's really fucking cool is that like every it's like every level is only like a couple of it's like 10 or 15 lines or something like that.
[01:40:19] But when you get to like level 180 or something like that, it randomly is a 800 line because the code rolls over in an incorrect way.
[01:40:29] Because you're never supposed to get past this part.
[01:40:31] It is hypnotizing to watch this guy play.
[01:40:33] Oh, and you talk about the different screens.
[01:40:36] The colors of the tiles are also generated based on a certain like coloring tile set.
[01:40:41] And once they reach like certain points, they have like what they call like hard screens or whatever,
[01:40:46] where the pieces are like black with a black background.
[01:40:50] So like the first 100 and something levels, they it's the same 10 alternating color schemes and then the code breaks.
[01:40:59] So what Phil's talking about? Yeah, there will be like neon pink like randomly and then it'll be like black gray and and like dark brown or something.
[01:41:09] And you're like, what the fuck?
[01:41:11] Because it starts pulling the color from like the RAM rather than the where they're stored naturally.
[01:41:17] It's like so fucking cool.
[01:41:19] You should watch that somebody saw video.
[01:41:20] We got to get out of here though.
[01:41:22] Yeah. Thanks for joining us this week, co-partners.
[01:41:24] Maybe next time we can all play Tetris to the kill screen together or break stuff.
[01:41:30] I reference it again.
[01:41:33] Nice.
