[00:00:50] Yeah, well I went to those concerts which was great and super fun.

[00:00:54] I saw three concerts last week.

[00:00:58] Took my dad out to see this stoner band called All Them Witches which is a cool laid back.

[00:01:03] We just kind of chilled, drank a few IPAs.

[00:01:06] You know how it is, let's see the stoner rock.

[00:01:09] Then on Friday and Saturday I went and saw, on Friday I saw Born of Osiris and these bands Traders and Extortionist.

[00:01:18] Got to turn my phone off.

[00:01:20] So at that show it's at a really really tiny venue which Phillip did you see these pictures I posted?

[00:01:27] I saw you posted a whole bunch but I didn't actually look at them.

[00:01:30] Go look at how close I am.

[00:01:32] It's called the 89th Street Collective and actually I don't know what it's called anymore.

[00:01:37] I'm pretty sure it's the name still but it is tiny and you can get in their face.

[00:01:44] So I was like fist bumping the guitarists and shit, you know it's a really small venue.

[00:01:50] Yeah looks like it. Looks like you're at the stage.

[00:01:53] But because it's like super small, I don't know.

[00:01:56] The crowd just seems to get a lot more rowdy.

[00:01:58] Every time I'm there the crowd is crazy so in the mosh pit I got creamed.

[00:02:03] Like I don't know if it was a shoulder, it wasn't an elbow or anything.

[00:02:08] Suddenly real solid you know what I mean?

[00:02:09] Is this the one that has the seven-year-old girl on stage too?

[00:02:13] Yeah there was a little, on the opening band there was a seven-year-old dancing on stage with the singers.

[00:02:19] That was really cool.

[00:02:20] Yeah so I got checked really hard and now my teeth have been hurting for days.

[00:02:25] Did you hit them on the concrete or like?

[00:02:26] No it was either someone's leg or their shoulder or arm.

[00:02:31] Like it wasn't a sharp part of their body, you know it wasn't a knee, it wasn't an elbow,

[00:02:35] it wasn't a fist. It was something firm.

[00:02:38] But I don't know if I hit them and that's what hit it or I

[00:02:41] cracked my teeth together. You know what I mean from the collision?

[00:02:45] Oh the clock will get ya.

[00:02:47] It's been pretty severe.

[00:02:49] Like up there in the worst pain I felt in years.

[00:02:52] I went to the next concert which was Knocked Loose and Lothe.

[00:02:58] And then some fucking guy with the opening band they had an electric banjo.

[00:03:03] So they were rocking out on it just sounded like a guitar until he turned the distortion off

[00:03:08] and then it sounded all banjo-y.

[00:03:09] Yeah that was a great show but I couldn't enjoy it for 80% of the time.

[00:03:13] I was really there for Lothe and the whole time Lothe was playing I was in agony.

[00:03:18] Like abject pain.

[00:03:19] Was the music like rattling your jaw?

[00:03:21] Yeah it was horrible.

[00:03:22] And I was buying water which was like $7 a water.

[00:03:26] I was buying water just to have something cold in my mouth because the alternative was what I just left.

[00:03:31] Like I couldn't, like for the opening banjo band for halfway through the set I just went outside

[00:03:37] and just sat on the fucking curb for a while and even being out there the vibrations were

[00:03:42] still making my head throb.

[00:03:44] Like I was like actually seeing stars.

[00:03:46] Like that is not an exaggeration.

[00:03:48] It was terrible but by the time so I just kept drinking water and like holding it in my mouth

[00:03:53] in that one spot and eventually it stopped hurting so bad.

[00:03:57] And by the time Knock Loose came on they were like two-thirds of the way through their set and I'm like

[00:04:02] you know I might leave early because I like Knock Loose, they're cool.

[00:04:05] I was really here for Lothe and also I'll beat the people back and I'm still kind of hurting

[00:04:10] a little bit and the guitarist was like everyone like the lights came on he was like

[00:04:14] everyone look at the person next to you.

[00:04:16] I am not fucking with you right now.

[00:04:18] I need you to push them right now.

[00:04:20] I need you to push them and then everyone it was like an entire venue was mashing at once

[00:04:25] and I was like well I can't leave now so I started fucking mashing then like just pushing up

[00:04:31] towards the stage and you know the adrenaline was great.

[00:04:34] It's like okay I got through like another song and a half but when the adrenaline started

[00:04:37] wearing off I was in so much extra pain dude.

[00:04:40] Holy fucking shit and so I brought, I came home, got some McDonald's because I was like

[00:04:44] I need something soft like chicken nuggets.

[00:04:46] I could probably chew twice and then swallow.

[00:04:49] I couldn't even do that.

[00:04:50] Like my face is so swollen like you can kind of tell that I'm a little swollen right?

[00:04:56] Yeah like just how my lip kind of goes down but it's like my teeth were so swollen

[00:05:01] that when I close my mouth that side of my mouth closes first like and there's still

[00:05:05] like an inch of gap between the right so I couldn't even chew so I was like chewing

[00:05:10] with the front of my mouth trying to chew these fucking chicken nuggets up.

[00:05:13] I ate like four and went straight to sleep.

[00:05:16] Like I was like I don't know what to do and I lost track.

[00:05:20] I was eating those like you know the, what are those pills like aspirins or whatever

[00:05:24] like they're like knock off aspirins.

[00:05:26] Yeah and I don't know if it's aspirin.

[00:05:28] It's whatever you take for like two things for like inflammation

[00:05:31] and I think I lost track.

[00:05:33] I might have taken too too many because I was feeling that pain in the liver.

[00:05:37] I was like ooh something feels not great.

[00:05:39] I was like I took a little bit too much of that.

[00:05:41] Yeah liver pain is probably not great.

[00:05:44] Yeah so I went to sleep I was like hopefully I wake up and then I woke up

[00:05:47] and I'm doing a lot better.

[00:05:48] Yeah I don't.

[00:05:52] Yeah man it sucks and then I was like I gotta go home and put ice on my face.

[00:05:57] I don't have ice so because I put my water in a pitcher in the fridge so I

[00:06:02] never get ice.

[00:06:03] The fridge pitcher.

[00:06:04] Yeah but that was fine.

[00:06:06] The fridge water that was our ice would have been better.

[00:06:09] Fridge water is fine because it's super cold.

[00:06:11] I've had a rough go but I also got to see some awesome bands and take

[00:06:15] probably the the Bornevo Cyrus pictures are probably some of the best

[00:06:19] photos at a concert I've ever taken because of the whole times because I

[00:06:23] was when I got hurt I got hurt during

[00:06:27] Traders which was the band before Bornevo Cyrus and I was like okay no more

[00:06:30] moshing.

[00:06:31] I'm just gonna only take pictures for Bornevo Cyrus and I was already

[00:06:34] like right at the front so it was pretty cool.

[00:06:56] let's just check in with the games we've been playing this week.

[00:06:58] Nave what have you been playing?

[00:07:01] So I started Psychonauts 2 last week

[00:07:04] because I needed to get away from Red Dead's Depression and I ended up beating it.

[00:07:11] All of these games except for the last one I beat so I don't have to say that over

[00:07:14] and over again but I beat Psychonauts 2.

[00:07:19] It's really good on these so I have that little tier list.

[00:07:23] You remember the little tier list?

[00:07:24] Yeah you're supposed to have your list of tiers.

[00:07:27] I don't think did you share it in the chat?

[00:07:29] I was going to but as soon as I posted it Nick immediately

[00:07:32] replied in the chat to it and I was like I'm not going to post it again because I don't want to see it.

[00:07:41] You fucking bastard but uh so I threw Psychonauts 2 at the top of A

[00:07:47] so it is my number one A game right now.

[00:07:51] I also went through and beat Ravenlock because Ravenlock left Game Pass so literally I beat

[00:07:58] Ravenlock the day it left Game Pass.

[00:08:00] I got a beat in one sitting.

[00:08:02] I ended up getting all the achievements.

[00:08:04] It's a nice it's a cute little game.

[00:08:06] It's kind of like Zelda like the older Zeldas you know what I mean?

[00:08:10] I had a lot of like awkward enough time feelings when I was playing.

[00:08:13] It was very nostalgic.

[00:08:14] It was super easy.

[00:08:15] I never died.

[00:08:17] I didn't even get close to dying ever and so I never die.

[00:08:20] Yeah it was very very simple but it's a cool game and the aesthetic is really cool.

[00:08:25] It's one of those games where you do you remember what was that game they made before

[00:08:29] the Ravenlock people?

[00:08:31] It was uh no Echo Generation.

[00:08:34] That's it.

[00:08:35] Dude that name sucked.

[00:08:36] I've never in my life remembered that name.

[00:08:38] I always forget it and I'm gonna forget it again.

[00:08:41] But Echo Generation looks really cool like the whole way through.

[00:08:45] This game looks like shit at the beginning and I was surprised but

[00:08:50] the game as you play gets more and more fucking awesome.

[00:08:53] Like there are so many really cool areas.

[00:08:56] It was to the point where like every time I was about to leave an area I was like

[00:08:59] excited.

[00:09:00] Like actually like oh I wonder what the next area is gonna look like.

[00:09:03] Because it's like every time you go to the next screen it's like a different kind of biome.

[00:09:06] It's really cool.

[00:09:07] But yeah I think I own this game too or was it game pass?

[00:09:10] It was in game pass for a year.

[00:09:12] It just left but I think it's only like $15 and I think it goes on sale.

[00:09:18] So it's like it's one of those cheap indie games.

[00:09:19] It only took me like four hours to beat and get all the achievements.

[00:09:22] So but I'm a professional gamer so your time's up.

[00:09:27] Okay so I also just finished today Unicorn Overlord.

[00:09:33] You finished it?

[00:09:34] Oh yeah.

[00:09:35] That's a meaty game right?

[00:09:36] Like you probably sunk some hours into it.

[00:09:39] I think I have 36 hours in it.

[00:09:43] I have 44 hours in it.

[00:09:45] That's pretty solid.

[00:09:47] Yeah but I did get all the achievements.

[00:09:49] So I think I beat the game at 36 hours and then the rest of the time was me

[00:09:53] fucking off getting all the achievements.

[00:09:54] Yeah.

[00:09:56] But the game is awesome.

[00:09:57] I fucking love it.

[00:09:58] And so yeah I threw Ravenlock into it's at the top half of B for me for the games this year.

[00:10:06] And then when I rated Unicorn Overlord it was difficult because I wanted to put it in A.

[00:10:13] I did put it in A but I didn't know where to put it because I didn't know if I liked

[00:10:18] it more than Red Dead Redemption or not like the first one.

[00:10:20] And so I went ahead and said I did because I was looking back on it.

[00:10:24] If I hadn't played Red Dead Redemption this year I probably would be like oh absolutely

[00:10:29] this is worse than Red Dead.

[00:10:30] But now that I played it again it is just it annoyed me more than I had fun.

[00:10:35] You know what I mean?

[00:10:36] Like the gameplay in Unicorn Overlord is great.

[00:10:38] By the way I was skipping all the cutscenes at the end of the game.

[00:10:41] Like the last like third yeah the last third of the game.

[00:10:44] You are becoming king or whatever you do in that game.

[00:10:46] You are the Unicorn Overlord.

[00:10:49] The problem is that everyone has like five minutes in the spotlight

[00:10:53] and then it just moves on to the next guy.

[00:10:55] And so it's like I'm like I want to talk about the witch.

[00:10:58] Why can't the witch be more involved in anything?

[00:11:00] But like you can't do that because there's literally like 80 characters.

[00:11:04] And then you're also buying mercenaries and you get to name them and make custom

[00:11:08] mercenaries and shit.

[00:11:09] It's like yeah it's not enough.

[00:11:11] Not enough intrigue for me.

[00:11:14] Like I don't know.

[00:11:15] I just didn't care about the main character either because he's just a vanilla

[00:11:19] character that you're supposed to insert yourself into you know.

[00:11:21] So I don't know.

[00:11:23] It was it was a good game.

[00:11:24] It was fun in a power wash simulator kind of way where I got 100% of the map on

[00:11:29] like uncovered and I did all the missions.

[00:11:31] I found all the treasures.

[00:11:32] I did all the little things.

[00:11:35] So that was really cool.

[00:11:36] If anyone if you like tactics games Unicorn Overlords fucking tight.

[00:11:39] I don't know if I would I spent full price on it.

[00:11:42] But I think most people 40 bucks is a great price for this game.

[00:11:45] You'll get a lot of you get a lot of value out of that game for that 40 bucks.

[00:11:51] Uh so now that I'm done with Unicorn Overlord I'm kind of bouncing around and so I decided

[00:11:57] to go with Vanquish because we've trash it is.

[00:12:01] It's so fucking interesting.

[00:12:04] Like I don't think I've ever beaten this game but I've picked it up like five times

[00:12:09] like I probably purchased this game like five or six times.

[00:12:12] So I own I realized I own the 360 backwards battle version and the

[00:12:18] remaster version and I own it on Steam and I think I owned it physically on Xbox 360.

[00:12:25] I might have even known it on PlayStation 3.

[00:12:27] I don't know.

[00:12:27] So it's like dude I don't I keep buying this game and like not beating it.

[00:12:32] So I think I'm going to go ahead and do that but I did I did make the odds against me because

[00:12:38] I put it on hard right away because I'm an MLG gamer.

[00:12:42] Well game it's not fair fucking hard bro.

[00:12:47] I played it on normal and that was hard for me.

[00:12:50] Dude the first boss I died like seven or eight times on and it keeps track of your deaths.

[00:12:55] Yeah at the end of each area it is like it goes here's your score here's how many kills you got

[00:13:00] here's how many people you've I here's how many times you died and so now I'm keeping an eye

[00:13:04] on that.

[00:13:04] I'm like I'm so happy that it's it's reminding me I've died 23 times and I'm not an act too yet

[00:13:11] so happy but that's what I was playing just now and I realize it's not good for my teeth

[00:13:16] because I am like clinched up sometimes when I'm playing this game.

[00:13:20] Dude when you're in the house you're in the room.

[00:13:22] Dude like dude I was sitting I ran up to pick somebody up and a grenade landed on my feet

[00:13:27] but I was still in the animation.

[00:13:29] I was like oh and I dashed away and then I dashed into another grenade and blew up

[00:13:34] which made me fly in the fucking air for a second and when I got back up I shot

[00:13:38] some bullets and then I saw more bullets come at me so I dodge backwards into another guy who's

[00:13:43] like I'm gonna punch you and I'm like no punch it back I'm like fucking dude.

[00:13:48] What's your listeners at home if you're unfamiliar with what Vanquish is

[00:13:52] is it Capcom that does it?

[00:13:56] It's the Platinum I don't know I don't know who published it but Platinum made it it's the

[00:14:00] guys who made Bayonetta.

[00:14:02] Yeah so it's Bayonetta's sci-fi shooter samurai game or ninja game.

[00:14:07] It's like they were looking at America and seeing Gears of War in Halo and they're like

[00:14:13] make that but Japanese we could do that what's manly about us and then now he's like flying

[00:14:20] through the air grabbing a missile throwing it back down into the fucking barrel of the missile

[00:14:25] following the missile into the barrel then jumping out the side for no reason and I'm like

[00:14:32] He has like an Iron Man suit that's like the whole premise is that they have like

[00:14:35] nanotechnology or something nanoweave technology.

[00:14:39] It's literally what if master chief Japanese that's it and so he talks non-stop he's smoke

[00:14:46] his helmet comes off every 10 seconds so he can smoke a cigarette he's always so

[00:14:52] there's even lines that are like so instead of I need a weapon the guy's like I'm gonna need

[00:14:56] a bigger weapon.

[00:15:01] Game's good.

[00:15:02] I've been here for my 100 games that was one of the titles I played.

[00:15:07] Yeah I mean I'm in act one I'm I think I'm at the end of act one I just beat another boss

[00:15:11] the boss that no it wasn't a boss it was just a big thing that came out of the ground and

[00:15:15] shot a bunch of people out man it's really fun you die right away and hard dude like you

[00:15:21] fucking die so fast.

[00:15:23] Eventually you get I feel like you get like a way to regenerate your armor through sliding or

[00:15:28] something if I remember correctly so it's like you know like do damage and then slide a lot

[00:15:34] and so like you you live longer if you just keep sliding is basically how it comes down to you.

[00:15:40] What's funny is that I'm constantly dodging and when you dodge you do like a

[00:15:43] fucking flip whatever direction you're going and I did that a lot in Bayonetta as well

[00:15:48] so like I'm doing every now and then I'll have like a weird

[00:15:51] universe confluence with Bayonetta where I just I'm seeing fragments of that game for some reason

[00:15:57] but dude I it's so funny and I don't really remember a whole lot every it's just every

[00:16:02] because I played it on Steam along with that other game not Bionic Command what was that other game

[00:16:08] that's like this that 36 game no it's literally just like vanquish except a lot slower binary

[00:16:16] domain that's never heard of it that's not a real game I've played it last year I think you've dude

[00:16:22] you've I might buy this game for you because it is backwards compatible oh god this is probably

[00:16:27] gonna be trash huh dude it's great trash it is great trash dude I might play this again this year

[00:16:35] like just looking at the fucking images it looks like an alien game we played almost

[00:16:41] so the cool thing about this game is that the robot you're you're killing robots but

[00:16:45] their body parts fly apart but also something that I forgot about this is made by the guys who made Yakuza

[00:16:51] yeah I was looking at the the raw Rengeksu whatever like all right you've got Kotoku yeah Yakuza guys

[00:16:58] that's probably why I held this in such a soft spot in my heart they get a pass for this one but

[00:17:03] dude the fucking story is it's so stupid and then suddenly it's like all the fucking difficult

[00:17:10] questions of humanity all at once and you're just like whoa like we're getting real philosophical

[00:17:16] and then it goes back to being real stupid uh the meadow gear I gotcha all right but I mean those

[00:17:21] games sound like you're actually hitting some gold this year like it's surprising because this is

[00:17:25] really different from uh I feel like well you were playing before or like last year anyways yeah I

[00:17:30] don't remember what I played last year yeah but you're playing some gold yeah I don't know

[00:17:34] what's gotten into me well last year I was trying to chase like the newer games now I'm I'm

[00:17:38] still buying a few of the new games but I'm really just playing backlog and even stuff that's not on

[00:17:43] like Psychonauts 2 had no reason to play it again I just was like ah that sounds cool I'm just following

[00:17:49] my heart I mean it's a good game especially once you start like getting back um the old man's memories

[00:17:56] yeah it's very sad like Floyd or something Lloyd no it's uh fuck what is his name I don't I don't

[00:18:03] know the guy you know we're talking about the yeah scruffy the guy likes bacon anyways for my games

[00:18:10] I've been playing this week I pretty much only no-lifed bloodstained ritual of the night or ritual

[00:18:15] the moon I don't remember the title uh the one on xbox why are you even playing it if it's getting

[00:18:20] co-op I mean I don't know what the co-op mode is going to be like I doubt it's going to be the

[00:18:25] full story co-op but yes they hit their final Kickstarter goal which was something like asynchronous

[00:18:34] Dark Souls online multiplayer or something like that and they said we're not going to do that we're

[00:18:38] going to do co-op and so now they're apparently just going to be a co-op update for Bloodstained

[00:18:43] a game that came out you know six years ago or whatever but Dave if this game does come

[00:18:48] become co-op we have to play it and you should just play it anyways if you're looking for good

[00:18:52] games because like after like I you can get the first ending because there's multiple endings

[00:18:58] you can get the first ending within like four hours and you're like okay that's a solid gaming

[00:19:04] experience but then if you want the true ending it's another like 12 hours of gameplay to get

[00:19:10] the true ending and that's where you are it feels like when you play Dark Souls one and it's

[00:19:15] like you know which bosses are pretty much optional and how you can skip a lot of big

[00:19:20] sections of the game with like the stupid catacomb jump and shit like that it's like all

[00:19:24] of a sudden you have to do like I'm going to do 100 full clear by the end of the game I'm going to

[00:19:28] have 99% of the map cleared which I did and also I play this game in full Japanese too it's my

[00:19:35] sixth game to complete in Japanese this year I'm trying to get a full 12 one each month

[00:19:40] and it's a banger definitely recommend it oh and story uh as far as me actually

[00:19:47] confident in Japanese story is pretty simple angels and demons and that type of stuff is

[00:19:52] it simple because you you just didn't understand a lot of it so you had to fill in the blanks

[00:19:57] and I'm pretty sure I could keep track of what was happening okay oh I believe you I believe you

[00:20:03] Philip it's okay okay no but at first I was confused whenever I got the first ending

[00:20:08] because I'm like what about all these plot points that just didn't get resolved there was

[00:20:12] like a there was a samurai that we encountered he does he just not matter and then it was like

[00:20:17] keep playing for the true ending and I'm like oh I gotta I gotta replay it because uh slide spoilers

[00:20:23] or whatever like there's a character that you think is the final boss he's not the final boss

[00:20:30] and you'll figure out why he should play yeah surprise but yeah that one takes 13 hours or

[00:20:37] so to uh get the full ending good game definitely recommend it and it put me in a weird state

[00:20:42] after I beat it though because then I'm like I didn't have another game to go to

[00:20:47] because like I booted I rebooted up Nino Cuny uh two and I'm just it's back to fantasy

[00:20:53] plotting adventure walking around like you know I left this game for uh bloodstain because

[00:20:58] I wanted some action that dude is precisely why I would jump from unicorn overlord to

[00:21:04] a vanquish I was like I need as much action as possible like and I'm flipping through my games

[00:21:08] and I get to make which and I immediately was like that's the one I gotta go yeah and so I come back

[00:21:13] down like God this is so slow I can't I can't do this and then I'm like but I also really enjoy

[00:21:18] that maybe I got more Castlevania and I looked and I had uh one of the Dracula's installed um

[00:21:24] 3d ones the 3d Castlevanias yeah yeah I Dracula in the future dude I played one and they're

[00:21:31] just like they're like ripping off God of War PlayStation 2 games yes that's it you can't stream

[00:21:38] those I don't know why and that's why I didn't play it because I was like I want to play this but

[00:21:46] I can't stream it so why the fuck would I so weird I don't and I have no idea why it's literally

[00:21:52] completely region block there it's cool because there are some games that are like that um

[00:21:57] um Final Fantasy 10 had two cutscenes that were uh that were completely stream blocked so it would

[00:22:04] just go to like the waiting menu the screen so that I'm watching like these two different

[00:22:08] cutscenes play out and it's one of them is whenever Titus kisses Yuffie and the other one

[00:22:12] is the end of the game and so it's so weird yeah it's like that is real weird because

[00:22:19] it's like don't want anyone to know Titus kiss with you with Union I said Yuffie but

[00:22:24] you know but it's like they're you the they're on the cover

[00:22:29] yeah it's like they fucking are clearly the romantic like whatever oh yeah it's not everybody's

[00:22:35] making hints old um god what's his name Rex for Mass Effect like romance Rex

[00:22:43] yeah but he's in Viral he's in Viral that's fine uh Shepard's a clone anyways

[00:22:50] yeah that's a plus for some people too all right but yeah Bloodstained is real good

[00:22:56] it's completely put me off any other game though because I finished it yesterday

[00:23:00] and then I just scrambled through like five different titles launching them

[00:23:03] realizing I don't feel like playing this is like a boot up Dead Space remake

[00:23:07] and I'm like yeah not feeling it a boot up Nino Cune I'm like there's nothing here for me a

[00:23:11] boot up stupid 3d Dracula and I'm like oh this is just uh what was the game the other

[00:36:00] she said she was going to bed then i let the cats out of our bedroom lowered my phone brightness

[00:36:06] and faked going to sleep i just laid there in bed for the entire night bored but i definitely did

[00:36:12] not fall asleep i made sure to make the timestamps every 30 minutes on my phone through discord just

[00:36:17] to be sure i marked down every noise my cats made one cat had jumped down from something and

[00:36:23] made a little sound at 3 18 a.m and went ate food relatively quietly by the bedroom door

[00:36:28] at 4 57 a.m other than that nothing happened but sure enough my wife slept slept from 11 p.m

[00:36:36] until 9 a.m that's some pretty good sleep in that morning she claimed she had woken up at least

[00:36:42] seven times to open the doors and from cat noises and cats jumping on her at this point i was

[00:36:47] pissed because she was clearly lying to me i was exhausted and fed up with the lies so i just

[00:36:52] bluntly called her out on it i told her that's funny i stayed up all night to monitor the

[00:36:56] cats and they weren't even in the room at all last night i have timestamps and everything so you've

[00:37:00] been lying to me to try to convince me to get rid of my cats why she just sat there quietly shaking

[01:05:03] still a bouts of anxiety and trust issues after everything that happened when she understandably

[01:05:08] when she first told me uh she saw my cat urinated on the carpet i almost had a panic attack and

[01:05:14] started questioning her after i calmed down i felt terrible i've been going to therapy and i released

[01:05:19] recently started meds for a bunch of mental issues likely caused by all this so hopefully

[01:05:24] i'll be back to normal some point soon as you can see nobody won everyone is struggling

[01:05:31] in some way it sucks but that's what it is i guess i really don't want to focus on this much further

[01:12:43] play two to four games yeah it depends on the strength level of your of your decks but most

[01:12:48] people are kind of in this weird middle casual area and it's called battle cruiser commander which

[01:12:54] basically is like how it sounds like they basically slowly make giant ships and then bump into each

[01:12:59] other in the water until they fuck one of them sink yeah i i sympathize with this it's very

[01:13:06] it's very frustrating to have five people at the house playing commander rather than just four

[01:13:11] or eight like any divisible of four of uh four anyway where was i at i spend every minute

[01:13:17] of my at home life with her all i ask is for one night a week flash forward two years and we still

[01:13:23] have this argument almost on a weekly basis the stress of it all makes me not want to even play

[01:13:29] anymore my house isn't the biggest but it's the most central location where everyone can get to

[01:13:35] and the only space big enough to accommodate all of us otherwise we have to drive a significant

[01:13:39] distance and we don't all get to play together we now have foster children who are

[01:13:44] with us temporarily this adds to the stress for her and i help out the moment i get home

[01:13:49] to the moment i go to bed my wife has been unable to maintain jobs due to her disability causing

[01:13:54] us to rely on my income alone this this causes us to have severe financial stress i had to sell

[01:14:00] significant portions of my collection just to pay bills month-to-month i've had to cut down

[01:14:04] to one card of each and sell my most expensive and price items in my collection and attempts

[01:14:10] to keep us afloat i've started to start other hobby i've tried to start other hobbies but every

[01:14:15] time i want to invite anyone over it's an argument and there's always an excuse for why i can't

[01:14:20] every time i want to go out and do something else alone and again another argument more

[01:14:25] stress so am i the asshole for trying to hold on to one night per week i can actually do something

[01:14:31] i enjoy with other people i care about all right so this is another mental health thing

[01:14:36] he did a couple replies or comments or whatever when people asked he states that she has a seizure

[01:14:45] disorder mdd which i don't know what that is is that some kind of like manic depressive disorder

[01:14:51] maybe anxiety very close major depressive disorder okay and our opi actually works for mental

[01:15:00] agency and he has tried to get her in with therapist inside his office and at other offices

[01:15:06] but she refuses to go uh so she seems to have mental health issues that she refuses to treat

[01:15:14] which is uh pretty common yep or she doesn't want them treated which is tough because

[01:15:23] it seems it seems to me that she has some kind of attachment issue right now

[01:15:28] like that's all it seems to be i think the one of the biggest issues is that the entire situation

[01:15:35] resulting in an argument every week likely is giving her anxiety for the it's like an

[01:15:42] oror boros like we were talking about earlier where the get together is giving her anxiety

[01:15:47] because of like whatever reasons going through her head and then when the get together

[01:15:50] comes back around she immediately associates that with anxiety and then she the get

[01:15:55] together gives her anxiety again you know what i mean and then it becomes a very it gets worse and

[01:16:00] worse because the more that they fight about this and there's no resolution the stronger the

[01:16:06] connections in your brain become with this feedback loop right the neurons get stronger

[01:16:13] because you're constantly reinforcing it and running away from it rather than it is

[01:16:17] going to get resolving it yeah for years so it doesn't it makes sense why she's constantly

[01:16:22] less and less and less because if she what she wants the end goal is none like never you never do this

[01:16:28] again that's her best situation and it's not because she hates anyone or anything it's because

[01:16:33] she it immediately associates the game nights with her being anxious and it's hard to understand

[01:16:39] you're in that loop whenever like you're surrounded like when you were around it even

[01:16:43] if it's not happening directly to you because you're so much more invested and like you

[01:16:49] it's like what is the like losing the forest through the trees you know what i mean like you don't

[01:17:21] and to provide all the cooking on these days so she's not doing any of that but she is attending

[01:17:27] and being there uh but i feel like that's just more of like you said that's more of her seeming

[01:19:40] medic something about depression is intoxicating a little bit and it's self-reinforcing it makes

[01:22:00] only get like one or two games in that means only one or two people are going to win

[01:22:05] maybe just one you know and it feels bad when you play and like you didn't feel like you had an

[01:22:10] opportunity to because the thing about commander is like you want to have a bunch of decks you

[01:22:14] want to try different decks you want to play you want to play landfall and then this turn

[01:22:18] i'm gonna play goblins and then this turn this game i'm gonna play you know merfolk and it's like

[01:22:24] like that's a big part of the experience and it also takes a very long time i think it's a shame

[01:22:30] that she's knocking down the time as well and the amount of people but i would like to know

[01:31:07] and then like just all the ip's were thrown in there i'm like this is gonna be awesome but of

[01:31:12] course when i got online all the cool cars that i actually enjoyed playing like the stegosaurus

[01:31:17] truck and stuff like that was so underclassed you would not win a single race with it ever

[01:31:23] it's like well this is unusable and so i was really unhappy with the game actually also there was a

[01:31:30] weird thing where it's like i think me and you you couldn't party up to play online so we just

[01:31:34] had to push start at the same time and hope we ended up in the same match yeah and then we

[01:31:38] just stayed in that match because you just the lobby stayed like and carried over yeah yeah

[01:31:44] yeah so i mean just preconceptions i was like this one has to be better in like every way there's

[01:31:50] no way they can be as bad as the first game navel it's your preconceptions of this

[01:33:07] in between every game we had a loading screen that explains like six-played stuff and i would

[01:33:17] additions to this game and talking about different car types and the old ones they just had like

[01:33:21] cars and monster trucks and that was it and this one they have motorcycles naïve and they're

[01:33:26] weirdly big for some reason i think if they were small it might fuck with the physics engine

[01:33:33] because the physics were already weird on on the motorcycles like when when you go in the air

[01:33:38] and then land a little bit at an angle it would like i don't it would be a fucking

[01:33:43] crap shoot what happened to your motorcycle after that yeah because in real life you would tumble

[01:33:49] but the game is like magnetizing you as much as it can yeah so there's motorcycles now it now

[01:33:57] has jumping and shunting so you can spin boost to do a jump or to slam left or right uh shunting

[01:34:05] into people doesn't seem to do anything this isn't like split second where you have a car melee

[01:34:10] or was it sleepy dogs sleepy dogs yeah that's the that's the number one car melee yeah oh

[01:34:17] a fucking assassins creed has it too you can get your horse no in the horse carriage you could

[01:34:23] fucking slam with your horse carriage for no reason doesn't make any sense that's funny

[01:34:28] but you can do it it didn't seem to have any effect because there's one point i was trying

[01:34:30] to be your ass and i just kind of bumped into each other like hitting each other doesn't really

[01:34:35] do anything and i was boosting so i was like bye bye so stupid so good additions kind of

[01:34:45] because i mean it's good to avoid stuff yeah because there's more terrain hazards now there's

[01:34:50] stuff like disables your boost if you hit it the stinky clouds uh there's little barriers that

[01:34:55] you can jump over and so if you need to switch over and move like five feet to the right a shunt

[01:35:00] is pretty useful for that if you're looking because you were telling me you could do it

[01:35:05] dodge stuff yeah you can also air air slide if you have so some of it so sometimes when

[01:35:10] you're hitting a lot of jumps like sometimes you'll go slightly to the side and there's a little

[01:35:14] bit of a chance that you can jump it back into your air dash back yeah in your car in your uh

[01:35:22] your Gucci car yeah i was driving the Gucci car but it fucking sucked it's fine to me he's like

[01:35:28] he's like hey it's got good stats i was like oh does it now and then i suck the trash they

[01:35:32] give you in the beginning yeah because then i got a motorcycle right away so it didn't matter

[01:35:37] yeah the motorcycle was like legendary class it was better than everything else you had

[01:35:41] which begin to ride do it uh there's a store where you can go buy things

[01:35:45] gives you an option of like six cars that resets every like three hours or you can pay money

[01:35:54] which is what i did dude i didn't know what that said i thought it was gonna spin the

[01:36:00] wheel again and so i was like oh i guess it spins wheel for money and i just reset without any

[01:36:05] spins so i was like oh my god i don't know Spanish i just wasted all my money i don't know

[01:36:11] spin all right but loot boxes are gone that's no longer a thing in this instead there's a slot machine

[01:36:17] because that's better yeah it's it's in the forza they heard my complaints about the first one not

[01:36:23] being as good as the forza games so they put the fucking forza spin in there and it functions

[01:36:28] exactly as the forza one does good i guess i don't know like i still don't know how i feel about loot

[01:37:25] fucking shit you could get it didn't matter in like this game there's only a handful of cars

[01:37:30] and the only thing it changes is how good you can race against other people which makes it feel bad

[01:37:39] is like it has the same issue name as the first game where it's like if you have a better car

[01:37:46] you're probably gonna do better in the race yeah i the way that forza fixes this is that it will have

[01:37:53] races that are they have all the cars tiered and then it's like these car this race is for

[01:37:58] c-class cars and then you have to pick a c-class car and it also gives you a fucking car every

[01:38:03] five minutes of play time so it's like i don't know man it sucks because it's like we lost every

[01:38:10] race because the people racing against us just had way better cars which is funny is you could see

[01:38:15] your levels too like you can see how much game time that this guy was level 55 we are level four

[01:38:23] it's like oh he got first place cool who got second place the guy that's level 28 okay cool and then

[01:38:28] who got third place the guy that's level 21 yeah okay so this is like it was like a call of duty

[01:38:34] problem where like the first day you play modern warfare and you get in there and you're like

[01:41:07] it looks like all the things i enjoyed about the first game whatever like they just didn't get

[01:41:12] the licensing for this one so why did they put out another game that just didn't have as much

[01:41:21] stuff as the first one it seems like most games it's like that was what we were complaining about

[01:41:25] pated three right i maybe i'm not sure i don't know when we played gears of war four and then

[01:41:31] started playing gears five well i mean we played gears five way after it released to be fair

[01:41:37] yeah i don't know there's we're not in this situation quite that often in a review mode

[01:41:48] halo or something like that so for us to bring this up like i remember not recommending this one i don't

[01:41:54] remember your stance but for the sequel to be somehow worse in quite a few faucets it's it's really

[01:42:04] annoying actually i'm kind of i'm really disappointed because much like i was with the first one i

[01:42:08] expected something good here and it's not good not good at all i mean it's good if you

[01:42:20] i don't know you only play racing games i don't know even if you only play racing games there's

[01:42:25] better racing games that are out and just available and for cheaper you could go play like when we were

[01:42:54] thing that this game because it's like what's unique about this because the game plays well and it feels

[01:42:59] pretty good like it's not horrible feeling i think the way it brings the table i think what

[01:43:04] it brings the table is that you can build your own tracks and this is something that we've never

[01:43:09] experimented with but like when you play online which is basically dead unfortunately already

[01:43:15] but like why say already the game's almost a year old but like the game it tells you it gives you

[01:43:20] like one or two tracks that were in the in the box or on the disk or whatever and then the other three

[01:43:26] to vote between will be community maps and so it's like i bet there are people who just really like

[01:43:32] making the maps and then driving on them and being like oh this look at this i made this is

[01:43:36] pretty cool that is probably the best aspect of this game yes probably the map making community

[01:43:42] or you know what it also reminds me of is that like i don't know if this was in the first game

[01:43:47] it probably was but like you have those magnet tracks and then you can go on the roof it like

[01:43:53] really gives me like f0 vibes you know what i mean like this is like baby's first f0 kind of game

[01:44:00] which might be selling it to some people like it's like very because you're not going and

[01:44:07] you're not going 700 miles an hour but i mean like you are driving on these weird loop-de-loop

[01:51:02] can play it up to the third race and then the game breaks or if you try to do multiplayer and multi

[01:51:09] like any races any three races i think multiplayer does not work and also uh the story mode yeah
