[00:00:00] Hello and welcome to Gaming Together, a cooperative podcast. I'm your host Phillip and I'm here with my co-partner Nave.
[00:00:29] Each pod we play through. Which one? Yeah, I see it. Yeah.
[00:00:34] have a nose is like one of those filters that takes your nose away.
[00:00:37] It's like I got your nose.
[00:00:39] Yeah, yeah.
[00:00:41] Each pod we play through a co-operative experience
[00:00:43] that relate to you, the listener.
[00:00:44] This game is the criminal, the crime of co-op or something better off playing solo.
[00:00:47] So, Naive, whenever I'm like doing the intro,
[00:00:50] you don't need to talk.
[00:00:53] I can at all.
[00:00:54] I mean, you don't need to.
[00:00:55] And I guess you leave it now that I mentioned it.
[00:00:58] Figure it up. Whatever's fine.
[00:01:00] And with that, Naive, we have had happenings right after the pod last week.
[00:01:06] I believe you went through an ordeal.
[00:01:08] Yeah. Well, I thought it was really cute that
[00:01:11] at the very beginning of last week's episode,
[00:01:13] we were joking about me being robbed because I got robbed like that day
[00:01:18] while we were recording the pod even.
[00:01:21] So someone busted out my fucking window of my car.
[00:01:23] Apparently, I could have gotten it fixed for like super cheap,
[00:01:25] but I just went through my insurance
[00:01:27] because that's what I thought the insurance was for.
[00:01:29] You fool. Insurance is a scam.
[00:01:31] You never actually use it.
[00:01:33] Yeah, I'm a fucking moron.
[00:01:34] That was that was pretty painful to my bank account.
[00:01:37] And so I've been eating.
[00:01:38] I've been eating ramen noodles for a few days.
[00:01:42] Now you'll never be able to afford your PS five.
[00:01:44] Oh, God, I'm never going to be a real gamer.
[00:01:47] I'm never going to be able to play the last of us.
[00:01:49] Part two remastered.
[00:01:51] Or a condition. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:01:53] Missed opportunities.
[00:01:54] But I still went to all those shows I went.
[00:01:56] So I saw Spy Family.
[00:01:58] Did you did you go out and see Spy Family?
[00:01:59] The movie? No, I haven't seen it.
[00:02:01] Dude, it's so good.
[00:02:03] All right. Is it really good?
[00:02:04] But it's really good. Yeah.
[00:02:06] See the problem with anime movies is there's always a chance
[00:02:08] that it's just like a waste of time spin off.
[00:02:10] That's like probably made by like, you know, the B team
[00:02:13] while the real good guys are working on the main series.
[00:02:17] Yeah. Well, it's the first like 15, 20 minutes
[00:02:22] is like exposition for people who didn't watch the show,
[00:02:26] which I guess is fine
[00:02:28] because it's kind of like woven into what's going on.
[00:02:31] I was worried also that it would just be like a beach
[00:02:34] because it's like a vacation. Yeah, it's actually pretty good.
[00:02:37] And for the first time, Lloyd and your are in the same place
[00:02:42] fighting at the same time.
[00:02:43] It's pretty interesting.
[00:02:44] But they don't ever see each other. Of course.
[00:02:47] They're like in the same like area.
[00:02:49] They're just missing each other over and over again.
[00:02:51] Well, I guess it was kind of like that in the boat.
[00:02:53] The boat arc to.
[00:02:54] Yeah, a little bit where he was.
[00:02:56] But no, it was never.
[00:02:57] Yeah, he was never fighting, fighting.
[00:02:59] He was just like disarming.
[00:03:00] Yeah. Well, that's the anime corner.
[00:03:02] Anime corner.
[00:03:03] We are a video games podcast and we're going to be talking about deceit
[00:03:06] too, but before we get there, let's just check in with what games
[00:03:10] we have been playing this week.
[00:03:11] And you fool, I have I saw you.
[00:03:13] You're playing stupid plastic duck simulator again.
[00:03:18] No, I was playing Magic the Gathering and not that plastic duck
[00:03:21] was running just on the background.
[00:03:23] Yeah, just a white interactive wallpaper type deal.
[00:03:25] Well, the game literally is that so it's like you can't interact.
[00:03:29] There's one achievement that you have to interact with something
[00:03:31] and then that's it.
[00:03:32] There's everything else just happens randomly.
[00:03:34] So you just might as well leave it on if you're home.
[00:03:37] Might as well not actually looking at the TV.
[00:03:41] But I've mostly just been playing Red Dead.
[00:03:44] Yes, all that.
[00:03:45] I thought you finished it.
[00:03:46] No, do this game is like red.
[00:03:47] It is like 70 hours long, mainlining the story.
[00:03:51] Like it is no shit like one piece like it takes forever to get there.
[00:03:56] So I want to watch one piece one day.
[00:03:58] Maybe if I'm like a broken legs and can't do anything else.
[00:04:02] There's so much I don't remember because like there's just so much
[00:04:06] in the game in general.
[00:04:08] So like there's no fucking possible way you can remember.
[00:04:10] Remember all of it if you only played at once.
[00:04:12] So it's like it's really good.
[00:04:14] It's fucking incredible, actually.
[00:04:16] Probably one of the best games ever made.
[00:04:18] One of the best games.
[00:04:19] It's so weird to you because the game just keeps going on and on.
[00:04:22] But that's usually a thing that I get upset about.
[00:04:25] But in this game, it's just like it's not such a big deal.
[00:04:29] The biggest problem is that there's no like immediate fast travel,
[00:04:32] which is a problem I have in the Witcher as well.
[00:04:35] But the Witcher is better because there are signposts everywhere.
[00:04:38] So like you never really have to go that far to fast travel.
[00:04:40] Meanwhile, if a mission drops you off in the middle of fuck nowhere
[00:04:44] in Red Dead, you have to go a long way to get to your to get to wherever.
[00:04:49] Like there's a stagecoach and then there's you can buy train tickets.
[00:04:53] But then you have to remember if you get a train ticket,
[00:04:55] you have to remember what station you need to get dropped off.
[00:04:57] It's like I need Williamson Station or I need Redwood Station or how immersive.
[00:05:02] Well, I got to go back and I got to look at my map again,
[00:05:05] because you can't like it's so irritating.
[00:05:09] But the the best part is that like you can do the cinematic mode
[00:05:12] with your horses and then just like hold down the A button and scroll Twitter.
[00:05:16] But then again, once you're getting to the end of the game
[00:05:19] and you've made like enemies of like twenty seven different factions
[00:05:23] and you're constantly getting jumped on the road.
[00:05:26] And so it's like a literal it's literally like fucking Pokemon encounters.
[00:05:31] You know what I mean?
[00:05:32] Yeah. Can't get away from really bats.
[00:05:34] Yeah. And sometimes they'll just shoot at you.
[00:05:36] But especially at the end of the game,
[00:05:38] they'll put like wagons on the side of the road with barrels of explosives
[00:05:41] to blow it up so your horse knocks you down.
[00:05:45] If that doesn't kill you immediately.
[00:05:46] And so it's like, well,
[00:05:49] I wasn't looking at the screen because I had cinematic mode up.
[00:05:52] So it's probably obvious if you're riding and you see that fucking wagon
[00:05:57] with no horses attached to the side of the road.
[00:05:59] Hmm. What is that? But I don't know.
[00:06:02] The game is so fucking good and so tragic.
[00:06:05] It's it's bringing my mood down.
[00:06:07] So like I'm looking forward to beating it because it is making me sad.
[00:06:12] It's making me like it is actually affecting my like outside of gaming life.
[00:06:17] Like I am more sad in general because I'm thinking about this game.
[00:06:20] But fuck, dude, you got to play this game.
[00:06:24] This is like the third week in a row that we've talked about,
[00:06:27] like the same games that we have been playing.
[00:06:30] Yeah, we're stuck in really long games.
[00:06:33] I honestly it feels like it simultaneously
[00:06:36] feels like we just recorded yesterday and also that it's been like three months
[00:06:40] since we've recorded.
[00:06:41] I don't know how I feel both of those things simultaneously, but
[00:06:45] I mean, here we are.
[00:06:46] Nothing much has changed, but a lot has happened.
[00:06:50] You know what I mean?
[00:06:51] Like a lot has happened to me, but nothing's changed.
[00:06:53] Oh, so it's like a slice of life anime.
[00:06:56] Yeah, it's like fucking family guy.
[00:06:58] That's where that's where I'm at right now mentally.
[00:07:01] But I did go see Death Clock.
[00:07:03] Yeah. You actually saw Death Clock.
[00:07:05] You saw Megalogobonoid and Infant Annihilator or whatever
[00:07:09] your dumb band names are.
[00:07:11] Necro Goblacon and the screamer of that band wasn't there.
[00:07:15] So Infant Annihilator's Dickie Allen was there, who is like an infamous screamer.
[00:07:20] Like he makes the most disgusting noises that you've ever heard.
[00:07:24] So Infant Annihilator is a like parody band.
[00:07:27] What a title like that, I would hope so.
[00:07:30] Well, no, because there are.
[00:07:31] That's the point is that like it blends in immediately
[00:07:34] with like aborted and dying fetus and all of those other bands.
[00:07:37] Like even though I was just right in there with them, but that's a parody band.
[00:07:41] But they're also one of the most talented bands in their genre.
[00:07:45] Like actually and unironically, they make great music.
[00:07:48] But the singer is like,
[00:07:51] it's like sometimes like if you watch lyric videos,
[00:07:54] it'll say like a sentence and he'll be like,
[00:07:56] and then he does nothing.
[00:07:58] But he definitely didn't say what it says he said.
[00:08:02] It's so good.
[00:08:03] It's a really good and they have great music videos, too.
[00:08:06] Some of them are like just insane and like grotesque,
[00:08:09] but some of them are just really funny.
[00:08:11] Like, I don't know if it allows you.
[00:08:13] But then they so is Dragon Force, Death Clock and Necro Gobble Con.
[00:08:18] That was really fun.
[00:08:19] And I got this amazing fucking picture, which I don't know if you saw.
[00:08:23] Did you see the pictures?
[00:08:24] Yeah, I saw your pictures.
[00:08:25] Yeah, there is one picture of Death Clock.
[00:08:27] So Death Clock is like Gorillaz where they're like a virtual band.
[00:08:30] It's from the show Metal Alcolypse on Adult Swim.
[00:08:32] I think most of our listeners know that show the whole time.
[00:08:35] They were in the dark and it was just like the screen.
[00:08:37] So like you could see the the band members kind of
[00:08:41] and the only band member of Death Clock is what's his name?
[00:08:44] Brandon Small.
[00:08:45] Yeah. And everyone else is just touring members.
[00:08:48] So what was I about to say?
[00:08:50] Oh, so the screen had a bunch of shit going on all the time.
[00:08:52] And I took a picture of this part on the screen
[00:08:56] where like this guy is getting like disemboweled by a big spike.
[00:08:59] Well, I guess he's getting stabbed by the spike, really.
[00:09:01] And on the left of it, there is a guy getting thrown through the air
[00:09:06] who is crowdsurping, he's getting thrown like it's such a good picture.
[00:09:12] I don't know, because I can't put that on the fucking.
[00:09:14] Well, maybe I could.
[00:09:16] I mean, you put it on.
[00:09:17] Maybe I don't know. I'll figure it out.
[00:09:20] But there's another picture I took where Dragon Force,
[00:09:23] who is just like really nerdy kind of music.
[00:09:26] It's like industrial metal, but it's like super nerdy
[00:09:28] to the point where it's like hard to listen to them talk sometimes.
[00:09:32] They were like, this is a song about the legend of Zelda.
[00:09:35] And we got a chicken.
[00:09:36] We want you guys to throw it around and get it up on the.
[00:09:39] There was a balcony in the venue.
[00:09:41] He's like, I want you guys to make it up to the balcony.
[00:09:43] And so he threw the chicken out.
[00:09:45] And I took a picture and the chicken was in it
[00:09:47] because I wanted a picture of the chicken flying through the air.
[00:09:49] But the one I took was like super blurry.
[00:09:53] And but it looks like a cryptid almost like.
[00:09:56] So now you have to like squint and be like, what is that?
[00:09:59] And then you see it's a chicken.
[00:10:01] You're like, is that a chicken instead of instantly knowing it's a chicken,
[00:10:03] which almost makes the picture better.
[00:10:07] It's like God was a page
[00:10:10] Renaissance paintings in modern times or whatever.
[00:10:13] Well, it's just like, oh, no, I think I know you're talking about.
[00:10:16] We're just a normal picture, but it looks like a Renaissance painting.
[00:10:19] Yeah, it'd be like a woman receiving CPR from the police on the street
[00:10:23] while there's another guy playing the trumpet dress as a silver man
[00:10:27] begging for tips on the same corner.
[00:10:29] It's like, oh, what does this say about society?
[00:10:33] Just a fucking Grand Theft Auto five online lobby.
[00:10:36] Yeah, just it's just a.
[00:10:38] What screenshot from Grand Theft Auto?
[00:10:41] But for games I've been playing, I am playing the same trash.
[00:10:45] Nino Cuny to Octopath Traveler for my Japanese.
[00:10:48] Turns out both games are long and RPGs, so nothing new there.
[00:10:53] I realized I was dragging in Nino Cuny
[00:10:56] because I get the point where you can start doing like a civilization
[00:11:00] semi simulator where you have to like manage a base.
[00:11:03] It's kind of like, you know, the base management in
[00:11:06] snake secrets ghost snake.
[00:11:09] What was like five, five years?
[00:11:12] Yeah, Phantom Five pain.
[00:11:14] Yeah, snake game.
[00:11:16] God damn, what is that?
[00:11:16] What does that series called?
[00:11:18] Metal Metal Gear.
[00:11:19] That's it. It's Metal Gear Solid Five Phantom Pain. God.
[00:11:23] So that game has a huge base simulator where you can get upgrades
[00:11:27] and do research and stuff like that.
[00:11:28] You know, could you do as the same thing?
[00:11:30] And then you build up army guys and everything.
[00:11:33] It's it's pretty in depth.
[00:11:34] And I'm it's hard not to do it because you go out
[00:11:37] and you like recruit members, not by putting balloons on them, sadly.
[00:11:42] Instead, they have like side quests where it's like, hey,
[00:11:45] I'll join your kingdom.
[00:11:47] But you got to prove how tough you are by defeating five skeletons.
[00:11:50] And I'm like, OK, so I run outside, kill five skeletons,
[00:11:53] bring their bones back and they're like, OK, I'll join your
[00:11:56] country and work as a chef in your kitchen.
[00:11:59] And I'm like, you will.
[00:12:00] And then you put them to work.
[00:12:02] And then they like generate resources so you can get upgrades,
[00:12:05] so you can generate more resources.
[00:12:07] And then you have a cookie clicker situation.
[00:12:09] And it's all based on real time clock, too.
[00:12:12] So all of a sudden, it's like a an eye.
[00:12:15] Like a simulator.
[00:12:16] Yeah, it's like duck simulator only, you know, it's Ghibli style.
[00:12:21] So I have all the ducks.
[00:12:22] There is a wide variety of ducks.
[00:12:24] I mean, I didn't do anything.
[00:12:25] I left it on when I went to work, but you did it.
[00:12:28] Oh, yeah.
[00:12:29] So you missed out on the reveals.
[00:12:32] Yeah, unfortunately.
[00:12:33] But there is like 200 ducks.
[00:12:35] So that is I'm not sitting for all that.
[00:12:38] It's like doing the math, a new duck every three minutes.
[00:12:41] And there's a chance of it not being a duplicate duck
[00:12:44] because you can't do what gets right.
[00:12:45] Oh, there's none. OK, good.
[00:12:47] Otherwise, I'll be like impossible.
[00:12:49] Anyways, you know, Coney, too.
[00:12:51] Still good.
[00:12:52] I need to stop doing side quests and just keep doing the main quest
[00:12:55] and Octopath Traveler two is good.
[00:12:58] And I need to do more side quests because I'm under leveled
[00:13:00] for the main quest now
[00:13:02] because I was doing the opposite in that game.
[00:13:04] Yeah.
[00:13:05] Like the thing is, I'm fucking red dead.
[00:13:08] Is that like I stopped doing side quests?
[00:13:10] I thought. But then I just I can't help myself sometimes.
[00:13:14] Like some of the side quests, I'll be like, oh,
[00:13:16] this has a really good resolution.
[00:13:17] So I'm going to go do it because Melissa's watching, which, by the way,
[00:13:20] Melissa is taking this game way harder than me.
[00:13:23] Like she is miserable.
[00:13:24] Like she is not having fun anymore.
[00:13:27] Like we are not he all rooting in to it anymore.
[00:13:30] But like the last 10 hours that I've been playing this game.
[00:13:34] So she is basically just watched two really tragic stories
[00:13:38] like of like two really tragic movies back to back, essentially.
[00:13:43] They have no happy ending.
[00:13:45] And so it is just like insane.
[00:13:47] And Jana are currently going through that with Attack on Titan.
[00:13:49] We're on the final season.
[00:13:50] We have like, I don't know, five episodes left after watching
[00:13:55] 60 episodes of the show or whatever.
[00:13:57] And things are so sad and terrible that
[00:14:01] like we just can't find the motivation to actually sit down
[00:14:04] and finish the series.
[00:14:06] It's like there's no fun left.
[00:14:09] And not that attack on time was never fun for the record,
[00:14:12] but it has become less fun the more I watch.
[00:14:16] That's the thing is that like I'll be like, oh, look, it's a it's a Charles mission.
[00:14:20] And I look at it and I see the name of it in the picture.
[00:14:23] And I'm like, I just stare at it for a second because I know what this mission is about.
[00:14:26] And I know how it's going to end.
[00:14:27] And I'm just like, I don't want to do it.
[00:14:29] I really don't.
[00:14:30] I want to preserve what I have before this mission changes things.
[00:14:35] It's like God.
[00:14:37] It's tough. Feelings are hard.
[00:14:39] It's so bad that it's like I almost want to buy the first game and like play it also.
[00:14:44] Like, I am really like I'm going to get sucked into the fucking first game,
[00:14:49] which is also very long.
[00:14:51] It also has a kind of a sad ending.
[00:14:54] It's so sad.
[00:14:55] I was spoiled.
[00:14:57] Was a Marston.
[00:14:58] Yeah. In the first game.
[00:15:00] It's like cowboy stories are happy like ever.
[00:15:04] Like there are a lot of never.
[00:15:06] You're not. It works out.
[00:15:07] Yeah, you're not running to for too long.
[00:15:10] I don't know.
[00:15:10] And what really sucks is the game is one of the most beautiful games to ever be made.
[00:15:15] And every time I take a screenshot on Xbox, it's fucking pitch.
[00:15:19] It's super dark like the contrast is turned all the way up.
[00:15:22] So whenever I go into photo mode and I have to turn the contrast all the way down
[00:15:26] and turn the exposure all the way up and then turn the brightness all the way up.
[00:15:30] So it's basically a white picture on my screen.
[00:15:32] And then I take a screenshot and it looks OK, just like a washed out picture.
[00:15:37] Like it's like still kind of hard to see.
[00:15:39] And that makes me so mad because I love taking screenshots in games.
[00:15:43] And this is a game that I'm always like trying to take screenshots in.
[00:15:46] And they always fucking suck.
[00:15:48] It's fucking I don't know what that is.
[00:15:51] It's only certain games.
[00:15:52] There's a handful of games that just make really, really dark recordings
[00:15:57] for no reason.
[00:15:58] And I don't think it was always like that.
[00:16:01] Could this be a TV setting for you or something like maybe you're
[00:16:04] you know, because I weird I because I uploaded some of the pictures to Instagram
[00:16:09] and you could tell which ones I didn't turn the brightness up all the way.
[00:16:12] I think I uploaded them to Instagram.
[00:16:14] They go look.
[00:16:15] Yeah, go look at our Instagram like the very first picture.
[00:16:19] I didn't turn this is like one of the first scenes in the game.
[00:16:21] And so I didn't turn the brightness of all the way.
[00:16:23] And so almost all of the pictures just completely pitch black.
[00:16:27] But on my screen, I can see, I can see,
[00:16:30] I can see Arthur's facial expression, I can see his individual fingers.
[00:16:34] I can see the guy looking up at him.
[00:16:36] You can't see anything in the screenshot.
[00:16:38] Oh, yeah, I'm looking at him.
[00:16:39] I see what you're you're talking about.
[00:16:41] If you go to the third picture where we're all sitting around the campfire,
[00:16:44] that was literally like it looked like our fucking Google Doc for our notes.
[00:16:48] That's what they looked like on my screen.
[00:16:49] It was flash banging me.
[00:16:51] But then it came out like that, which is unbelievable.
[00:16:54] So that is the brightest it could possibly be at night for screenshots.
[00:16:59] Yeah, it's weird because even in the daylight, it looks
[00:17:04] strange.
[00:17:06] Yeah, all right.
[00:17:08] But that's a cowboy chat.
[00:17:10] Dave, did you buy anything this week?
[00:17:12] No, I bought a new window.
[00:17:14] Oh, yeah, I forgot. Yeah, you're poor now.
[00:17:16] Yeah, it was half a thousand dollars.
[00:17:19] Holy shit, dude.
[00:17:20] Why is why a car so expensive?
[00:17:23] Like what the why are we doing this?
[00:17:25] Oh, my God. So I've been
[00:17:27] I've been trying to explain to JP all day, assuming like
[00:17:31] this might get a little off track.
[00:17:33] You can cut all this, but assuming we don't like digitize ourselves in the future,
[00:17:37] I'm thinking human like DNA editing is going to be the future
[00:17:42] and probably the best way to conserve resources is if we just make everyone
[00:17:46] smaller, like little people size.
[00:17:49] Like in Bethesda games when you hit the when you open the console commands
[00:17:52] and scale them down.
[00:17:53] Yes, scale point five.
[00:17:55] So you scale people that I'm saying like you can conserve resources.
[00:17:58] Our cars can be smaller.
[00:17:59] They can probably be cheaper.
[00:18:01] We can make everything cost less if everyone was just littler.
[00:18:04] I think I like the idea of being digital because that's like near automata.
[00:18:07] And I like anything that reminds me of near automata.
[00:18:10] Well, yeah, because they just like get into another into another body over there.
[00:18:15] So it's like imagine you go to work, you just go to sleep in your bed
[00:18:17] and then you just wake up at work in your little pod.
[00:18:21] That's actually horrifying.
[00:18:22] Yeah, I think there's a movie surrogates. Right.
[00:18:25] Is it where it's like they never leave their house,
[00:18:27] but they have a robot that they walk around with?
[00:18:30] I don't have. Oh, or somebody that reminds me of that.
[00:18:32] Wasn't there a story where a kid was sick with something
[00:18:36] and so they went to school on a little robot with an iPad?
[00:18:41] Is that that's got to be real or maybe I'm thinking of like it's a TV show.
[00:18:45] I don't know.
[00:18:46] Sounds like a thing that probably can happen in the real world.
[00:18:49] No, here it is.
[00:18:50] School kids buy sick classmate a robot so he can go to school.
[00:18:55] OK, so it's literally just like a fucking it looks like one of those
[00:18:58] those fans that don't you know, those those
[00:19:02] blameless fans, yeah, blameless fans. I got you.
[00:19:06] Here, I'm just going to send this group.
[00:19:07] I don't none of these pictures are particularly good.
[00:19:09] So here's a giant link of a Google search.
[00:19:11] OK, yeah, see what you mean.
[00:19:12] It kind of reminds me of the first one because that was a scooter.
[00:19:15] But the one I was thinking of is the one that looks like the the seal,
[00:19:18] the blameless fan. Yeah.
[00:19:21] There's a sushi restaurant that has like conveyor belt sushi
[00:19:24] and it has robots that hand out the drinks.
[00:19:27] Yeah, I think it's a lot of fun, even though it's really overkill
[00:19:31] for these little robots to scoot around.
[00:19:33] My cat is attacking.
[00:19:34] Yeah, I think that was another thing where like because people are like, man,
[00:19:38] why can't we have robots doing all the things?
[00:19:40] Well, first of all, 3D space is really hard, apparently,
[00:19:43] because we just biologically are hard over millions of years hardwired
[00:19:46] to understand 3D space.
[00:19:48] But we have to teach robots that and that is actually way difficult.
[00:19:52] The other thing is that we will break robots.
[00:19:56] There is this like thing about I think it was an either target
[00:19:59] or like Costco or something, maybe Walmart, where there were there were robots
[00:20:02] that were cleaning the floors instead of humans now.
[00:20:05] And people kept breaking them like they were bullying the robots.
[00:20:09] I think was the was the.
[00:20:13] It's almost as bad as that Amazon robot that fell over
[00:20:15] after moving boxes or something like that.
[00:20:18] And they're like, even the Amazon robot can't handle it.
[00:20:20] I don't or it's also like, what are those?
[00:20:22] What is the Boston Dynamics robots?
[00:20:24] And they like kick them over all the time.
[00:20:26] Oh, yeah.
[00:20:27] Yeah.
[00:20:29] And it does like it just kind of jumps around, jumps on boxes and stuff.
[00:20:32] Those robots are really cool.
[00:20:34] Yeah, I love it.
[00:20:35] It feels like I've been the same for like two decades.
[00:20:38] I feel like a kid looking at them.
[00:20:40] I mean, it's impressive now, anyways, like compared to like
[00:20:43] we don't see a lot of robots doing parkour.
[00:20:47] Dude, have you seen that YouTube video of
[00:20:49] what is his name, that short kid with acne that builds shit
[00:20:53] with the 3D printer?
[00:20:54] He knows how to code.
[00:20:55] But he may be coded a Roomba to scream every time it ran into stuff.
[00:21:03] And so there's this girl, Lily Pichu.
[00:21:05] I don't I don't even watch her.
[00:21:06] I don't know why I remember her name, but I don't remember.
[00:21:09] It's Michael Michael Reeves.
[00:21:11] I think his name on YouTube.
[00:21:13] And so he got the Lily Pichu girl to record like fuck
[00:21:17] like in a tiny voice.
[00:21:19] So it's every time he bump into a girl.
[00:21:21] It's like it's so awesome.
[00:21:23] Ah, fucking damn it.
[00:21:27] Are you fucking serious?
[00:21:28] Fuck!
[00:21:30] It's perfect.
[00:21:36] You barely notice it after a while, huh?
[00:21:38] Like ignore it, you know, kind of like, you know, how a Roomba cleans your house.
[00:21:46] How likely would you be to adopt this into your household?
[00:21:49] Ah, don't fucking damn it!
[00:21:52] So stupid.
[00:21:54] All right.
[00:21:55] And that covers the what did Nave buy section.
[00:21:57] Now on to new pod updates, Nave.
[00:22:00] We got a message
[00:22:02] from a long time ago in Facebook.
[00:22:05] We got a message.
[00:22:06] What I wanted to know, I read this message and I was like,
[00:22:09] when did we get this?
[00:22:12] Because it seems like it was
[00:22:14] before the winter.
[00:22:16] Yeah.
[00:22:17] Philip, you're running the Facebook.
[00:22:19] So this is your fault.
[00:22:20] I don't even know how to get into our Facebook.
[00:22:23] I don't know how to do that.
[00:22:25] I'm not sure how to get into it myself half the time.
[00:22:28] OK, well, because we used to have it to where it would cross
[00:22:31] post from our Instagram onto our Facebook.
[00:22:33] If anyone looks at our Facebook, all 12 people that were over there
[00:22:37] liking that, the the posts that are always over there
[00:22:40] or either Philip sharing them or if it's a post from us,
[00:22:43] it's usually from the Instagram.
[00:22:44] But now that that stopped
[00:22:46] because it randomly started posting on Phillips Facebook for some reason
[00:22:50] for like a month and a half.
[00:22:51] And I never noticed until I did.
[00:22:53] And then I was like, I texted Philip.
[00:22:56] I was like, Philip, it's on your Instagram is going to your thing.
[00:22:58] And he said, I fixed it.
[00:23:00] And he just completely severed the connection
[00:23:02] instead of actually fixing it.
[00:23:04] And so I was like, all right.
[00:23:05] Well, well, honestly, I was like, fuck the Facebook.
[00:23:07] I don't care.
[00:23:08] I know I don't even know it exists half the time.
[00:23:12] All right. But this is from Haley, who is
[00:23:16] assuming still the girlfriend of Alex
[00:23:20] and Alex is our infamous Mr.
[00:23:23] Quang, our patron supporter.
[00:23:26] Yeah, we're pretty sure.
[00:23:28] Pretty sure.
[00:23:29] OK, we could be mistaken, but based on our detective work, I think it's him.
[00:23:34] But the detective work of glancing cat over at the picture
[00:23:37] on for a second and go, that's probably it's got to be that one.
[00:23:41] Now there was a lot of feelings in this,
[00:23:43] so we don't need to read the whole thing.
[00:23:44] But I do want to read a little bit of it.
[00:23:48] So this from Haley,
[00:23:50] she lives with her partner, Alex, and not only is he an amazing partner,
[00:23:54] he's an even better person from day one.
[00:23:57] He's always been there for me no matter the circumstances.
[00:24:00] I can never express just how much gratitude I have for this man.
[00:24:03] I can look up to him and he makes me want to be the best person
[00:24:07] I can possibly be.
[00:24:08] I've never met anyone like him.
[00:24:11] Holy crap.
[00:24:11] That might be one of like the sweetest things I've ever read.
[00:24:14] Yeah, that's how I write about Molly.
[00:24:16] Oh, yeah.
[00:24:17] All right. By the way, she got really sick.
[00:24:19] Remember whenever all that trash and shit she got into really sick.
[00:24:22] Throw up. Oh, no, that's not good.
[00:24:24] Another thing to add to the pile.
[00:24:25] Oh, another thing. Oh, OK. Get rid of it.
[00:24:27] OK, let's do this first. OK.
[00:24:29] We both strongly enjoy gaming together in the literal sense
[00:24:32] and the podcast is a little little joke there.
[00:24:35] We are both PC gamers.
[00:24:37] I'd like to think that he has been a gamer since the day he was born.
[00:24:40] We listen to the podcast in the car instead of the radio.
[00:24:43] We listen to the podcast instead of watching YouTube.
[00:24:45] Oh, my God.
[00:24:46] Alex will listen to the podcast while he is working
[00:24:48] and he looks forward to every new episode every week.
[00:24:51] He has been some of you guys patron for a while now.
[00:24:53] I know he would say is one of his best investments.
[00:24:56] Loves me.
[00:24:56] I'm sorry. The two of you.
[00:24:57] That's where our detective work came in.
[00:25:00] That was our first clue.
[00:25:01] Hold on.
[00:25:02] Like, you know, it's like dinner from
[00:25:06] L.A. Noire and I pick it up and flip the paper.
[00:25:10] Yeah.
[00:25:10] Like, how does this pertain to the case?
[00:25:13] And then she asked if there was a way we could give him a shout out
[00:25:16] in an upcoming episodes, and she offered to basically talk to us
[00:25:20] and see if she needed to pay for us or anything like that.
[00:25:23] But honestly, this is payment enough.
[00:25:25] The sweet things that you've said, we really appreciate Haley
[00:25:28] and Mr.
[00:25:30] Quang, Mr.
[00:25:30] Alex, thank you so much for this long time support.
[00:25:35] This was sent back before Christmas.
[00:25:37] Yeah, this was supposed to have maybe been like a Christmas gift.
[00:25:40] She even signs off with Happy Holidays.
[00:25:43] Oh, she says Merry Christmas and you're cared for, Alex.
[00:25:47] But also, I think, you know, it's funny is that so we didn't see this,
[00:25:51] but he did get shouted out in an episode when we did our big battle royale.
[00:25:56] So and that was like around Christmas.
[00:25:58] So I wonder if well, maybe we explained that all the patriotic
[00:26:02] patrons were on there.
[00:26:03] I don't know. I feel bad.
[00:26:07] I got to the bottom and saw tell him Merry Christmas.
[00:26:10] I went, wait a minute.
[00:26:11] Well, no. Yeah.
[00:26:14] We got to be on it better.
[00:26:16] But thank you for the message, Haley.
[00:26:18] Alex, you need to know Haley cares deeply for you enough to reach out to us,
[00:26:22] which is more than a lot of our listeners do.
[00:26:24] So this episode is dedicated to Alex and Haley.
[00:26:28] Yeah. And also the other people who reached out to us,
[00:26:30] which I think is only one person, Philip.
[00:26:32] We got more of those things.
[00:26:34] If you're talking about from Facebook, it's just one from my wife.
[00:26:38] And it says, why you ugly?
[00:26:40] No, that's not what I'm talking about.
[00:26:42] But I'm glad that that is now part of the canon lore.
[00:26:46] All right. So this is from Gypsy 44.
[00:26:48] And they were they replied to.
[00:26:52] The Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection and also the asshole
[00:26:55] gamers episode, both on the same day.
[00:26:57] I don't know if you know a Gypsy 44, but they know us.
[00:27:00] Oh, that that's I think that's JP.
[00:27:04] Is it OK?
[00:27:05] So on the Star Wars Battlefront Collection, he says, boys, I'm stuck in a goon loop.
[00:27:10] Send help. Oh, God.
[00:27:14] Of course. Yeah.
[00:27:15] The subtitle for that episode is Goon Territory.
[00:27:18] So I think that's where we read the.
[00:27:20] Yeah. And the definition of goon.
[00:27:23] Yeah. I got to publish these.
[00:27:24] I'm going to publish them while I'm looking at them.
[00:27:26] OK, so the other one was on the asshole gamer gamers.
[00:27:30] He said, so we already know the screaming fella has horrible taste in women.
[00:27:35] Parentheses Liara.
[00:27:36] But who was your main romance in Witcher three?
[00:27:40] OK, so he's talking about how I romance Liara both times.
[00:27:43] I beat the mass effect collection
[00:27:46] because she's just the most interesting.
[00:27:49] So who did you like?
[00:27:50] Oh, Philip, you haven't played Witcher three.
[00:27:52] No, I haven't.
[00:27:53] But I know the characters from the TV show and the books kind of.
[00:27:58] Yeah, I went with
[00:28:01] I think the first time I played it, I romance Tris.
[00:28:05] And then this time I played it, I romanced Yennefer, which was way better.
[00:28:10] I assume that's a canonical one.
[00:28:12] It has to be the canonical one because at the end of the DLC, she shows up.
[00:28:16] I think I don't know.
[00:28:17] I don't want to show.
[00:28:18] I don't want to like spoil stuff.
[00:28:21] But I think it's canonical because he's canonically bound to her
[00:28:27] from the genie from a genie.
[00:28:28] Yeah, and that's like in the books.
[00:28:30] That's never that's not a spoiler in any of the games
[00:28:33] that is in the books, which all the games take place after the books.
[00:28:36] So if that makes sense.
[00:28:38] Yes.
[00:28:38] I believe thing is also in the TV show
[00:28:42] as like episode two or something like that.
[00:28:45] Yeah, and I think the TV show is in the books, right?
[00:28:48] Yeah, it's in the game.
[00:28:49] Kind of.
[00:28:50] I need I think I probably should watch.
[00:28:51] I it's supposed to be bad like at the after.
[00:28:54] OK, Apple left, right?
[00:28:56] Yeah, it's really good in the beginning,
[00:28:59] but much like Attack on Titan, me and Janice can't bring ourselves to finish it.
[00:29:05] It's like we have a long to watch list and we look over at the Halo series,
[00:29:10] the Witcher series and Attack on Titan.
[00:29:12] We just can't do it.
[00:29:14] Instead, I'm watching Haiku, a show about high school volleyball
[00:29:17] in the anime or whatever.
[00:29:19] Oh, I think I know what you're talking about.
[00:29:21] It's real good.
[00:29:22] If you want to watch an anime about feeling good,
[00:29:25] watch that because every episode is like that shit in the fucking trash
[00:29:29] and start watching Friar in.
[00:29:31] No, well, I mean, I don't have a way to watch Friar
[00:29:33] and I don't have the crunchy rolls or anything.
[00:29:36] I assume it's on there.
[00:29:38] It is on.
[00:29:38] I'm watching it on Crunchyroll.
[00:29:39] That's the only thing I subscribe to.
[00:29:41] Funimation doesn't exist anymore.
[00:29:43] I got absorbed by something or just cash out Crunchyroll.
[00:29:46] Well, I mean, it got absorbed.
[00:29:47] It got absorbed by Sony and then Sony bought Crunchyroll also
[00:29:51] and then just kind of merged them together.
[00:29:53] I'm pretty sure.
[00:29:54] Actually, I'm really ignorant about all of that.
[00:29:55] So someone's probably going to write in.
[00:29:57] Speaking of writing in, though, if you want to write in, give us an email.
[00:30:01] We got our shit in the fucking description or what the what J.P.'s things
[00:30:04] I just read. They were from Spotify.
[00:30:06] You can go on Spotify if you rate us or I mean, you don't have to rate us.
[00:30:10] But like you I don't how do you do this?
[00:30:12] It's on there somewhere, right?
[00:30:13] You just go and so it has like a comment section now
[00:30:16] and it just says something generic like,
[00:30:18] what do you think of this week's episode?
[00:30:20] And you can just write whatever you want in there.
[00:30:22] Yeah, I think I think we can change that somehow,
[00:30:25] but I don't think we're going to.
[00:30:27] Probably not. That's a lot of work.
[00:30:29] And at this point, let's thank our patrons or no.
[00:30:32] Do you have a story?
[00:30:33] Or something. Huh?
[00:30:35] Story. Oh, I.
[00:30:37] OK, I so yesterday
[00:30:40] I was going to get beer.
[00:30:41] I was walking to the store and as I walked by,
[00:30:44] I saw another car with the window busted out the same window.
[00:30:49] No, same parking spot.
[00:30:52] No, it's on the other side of the it's like it's on the other side
[00:30:55] of like this area that I'm in in my apartment complex.
[00:30:58] But this window was taken out whole like the the
[00:31:03] there's glass in the middle and then there's that protective shit
[00:31:06] on either side. You know what I mean?
[00:31:07] Yeah, it's like it's basically really strong adhesive tape to keep
[00:31:10] if you get a car crash, it keeps the it keeps the glass
[00:31:12] from just fucking blowing up like a claymore into your face.
[00:31:16] So even if the glass shatters, like most of the glass
[00:31:17] stays stuck to the tape, all of it was still on the tape.
[00:31:20] So the window was just taken out and sat on the ground.
[00:31:22] And that's what I noticed first was the window on the ground.
[00:31:25] And so do we have a serial fucking window smasher?
[00:31:29] So I called the cops.
[00:31:30] I was like a Karen. I felt I needed this.
[00:31:34] I need this guy fucking justice again.
[00:31:37] L.A. War, my fucking I'm like looking at this fucking crime scene.
[00:31:42] Dude, did you look in the trash can down the street
[00:31:44] a little bit to see if they did?
[00:31:46] There was a dumpster nearby. Yeah.
[00:31:47] But like I was not no shit.
[00:31:49] I looked for cameras.
[00:31:50] I was like, are there any fucking cameras that could like
[00:31:53] I looked in like at all the windows?
[00:31:55] Like I kind of walked around while I was talking to the cops.
[00:31:58] And I was like, dude, I got to go.
[00:32:00] Well, I called the cops.
[00:32:01] I reported it and I was like, here's my case number.
[00:32:04] This is my I this happened to me, too.
[00:32:06] So this is like going on.
[00:32:08] And then they're like, send pictures.
[00:32:10] I'm like, OK, whatever.
[00:32:11] And then I call I think I forgot to send pictures, by the way.
[00:32:13] But but I bet the person who got their widow broke out will do that also.
[00:32:17] You know what I mean?
[00:32:18] So I don't think probably they needed it for me.
[00:32:19] But I called the security for our apartment complex and like gave them the fucking
[00:32:24] I was like, this is I was like, this is the type of car.
[00:32:27] This is the model, the color.
[00:32:29] This is the fuck I did.
[00:32:30] I was like on the case.
[00:32:31] I mean, you search the car for any more clues.
[00:32:34] I did look in the car, which might have been suspicious.
[00:32:37] But yeah, I don't I don't I didn't have the tools on me.
[00:32:40] So you know what I mean? There's no way there's no way they would
[00:32:43] they would be like a rock.
[00:32:46] No, it wasn't.
[00:32:47] I just told you it wasn't smashed.
[00:32:48] It was pried out.
[00:32:49] It got pried out whole.
[00:32:52] My window was trying.
[00:32:53] They attempted to pry my window out like, but it shattered.
[00:32:56] So I mean, I didn't know that before.
[00:32:59] Like so the way that they got into it is like they stuck something
[00:33:02] in the frame of the window and they pried it up.
[00:33:05] And I think they were trying to pull just pull the window out like that.
[00:33:08] Yeah. Or something like that.
[00:33:09] I don't know how they did it, but I didn't investigate that hard.
[00:33:12] And I know nothing about cars, which also a little they back.
[00:33:16] The people that changed my window, bless their heart.
[00:33:18] They tried to vacuum all the glass out of the door.
[00:33:20] But it's there's still a little bit in there.
[00:33:22] And so that yeah, it rattles a little bit when I hit a bump.
[00:33:25] So a reminder, a reminder of what I've lost,
[00:33:29] which is like 15 hours of hard labor.
[00:33:34] I'm going to mention you just got this car like months ago,
[00:33:37] like a few months, right?
[00:33:39] No, I think it's been like two years.
[00:33:41] Oh, for a while there, you're carless.
[00:33:43] Now is a fun saga.
[00:33:45] Most of my life, actually, I was.
[00:33:49] All right. Let's think our patrons
[00:33:50] berserk of this K.O. Calving Mr.
[00:33:52] Quang, Insane Cracker, Nick and I, the intergalactic pinecone.
[00:33:56] Thank you for all your support, dear listeners.
[00:33:58] And if you want to support us even more, head on to our page
[00:34:00] on just a few clicks and you can send us a couple or dollar
[00:34:04] redos to support the pod. Thanks.
[00:34:08] Thank you, everybody.
[00:34:10] Right. And right.
[00:34:10] And comment on our YouTube and stuff.
[00:34:13] I've realized now that if I if I forget to do the art,
[00:34:16] which I did, our YouTube video does not have the art in it,
[00:34:20] which is that oopsies.
[00:34:23] All right. At this point, it's time for us to go online
[00:34:26] and find some assholes or some gamers and see if they need assistance
[00:34:29] in finding out if they are assholes and not.
[00:34:31] So, Naive, let's take a look.
[00:34:33] Who should we examine?
[00:34:36] I don't rightly know.
[00:34:38] I couldn't find any that were super like only is any among us
[00:34:41] related ones that I have.
[00:34:43] That would be the closest thing because nobody's going to be talking
[00:34:45] about this game, I don't think.
[00:34:46] No. All right.
[00:34:49] I found one that could be fun.
[00:34:51] It's about children.
[00:34:52] If you like that.
[00:34:53] I don't want to.
[00:34:54] That's a fucking loaded question, bro.
[00:34:57] They called me the grabber.
[00:34:58] OK, this is from a main account.
[00:35:03] Nope, not a main account.
[00:35:04] This is a burner account or just barely used account three years ago.
[00:35:09] Am I the asshole for which I pick this because it mentions Far Cry five
[00:35:13] and I doubt we're ever going to be talking about a Far Cry game again.
[00:35:16] But am I the asshole?
[00:35:17] Wait, so fucking last night, fucking Don Trey and Jesse came over
[00:35:22] and Don Trey is like vehemently like I don't think he likes the way
[00:35:25] Red Dead Redemption 2 plays.
[00:35:26] So he's like, I'm probably played it for a little bit.
[00:35:27] He's like, I'm probably never going to play this game.
[00:35:29] And I me and Jesse are both like, this is probably the most impactful story
[00:35:32] that's ever been written in a video game ever.
[00:35:34] And then he's like, yeah, I don't know.
[00:35:36] And then Jesse, in order to support the argument,
[00:35:40] unironically said, this game is even better than Far Cry three.
[00:35:49] What? Like that was the highest.
[00:35:52] That was that was the that was the line
[00:35:54] that it needed to cross this Far Cry three story had to be Far Cry three.
[00:36:00] I and I just stared at him because I didn't know he was fucking joking or not.
[00:36:04] And he's like, come on, support me.
[00:36:05] And I'm like, no, I don't.
[00:36:08] I don't. I don't hate Far Cry three.
[00:36:10] But I can't support any Far Cry, honestly, just on principle.
[00:36:14] Yeah. For what it stands for.
[00:36:17] So anyway, am I the asshole for playing Far Cry five after my mom said no?
[00:36:23] And the community has preemptively labeled of an asshole,
[00:36:26] but we will see what it'll read on.
[00:36:29] I am 14 years old.
[00:36:31] OK, asshole confirmed.
[00:36:33] Yeah. The teachers are crazy, crazy, ruthless.
[00:36:38] All right. I'm 14 years old and my mom is very strict on what video games
[00:36:42] I can play. My dad and I play Red Dead Redemption, Fallout, Skyrim,
[00:36:45] Cod, Battlefield and other games together.
[00:36:48] However, he unfortunately passed away.
[00:36:50] I'm sorry for you lost.
[00:36:53] My older brother who's in college now gave me a copy of Far Cry five
[00:36:57] after he finished it in the game.
[00:36:58] You are a sheriff's deputy in a small town in Montana
[00:37:02] and some weird cult is taking over kind of like the Waco shit,
[00:37:06] but on a much larger scale.
[00:37:08] David Kresh looks like Joseph Seed, the cult leader of the game.
[00:37:13] I don't know who that is.
[00:37:14] David Kresh is the is the guy.
[00:37:16] Hold on. I'll show you.
[00:37:17] Is he just the actor for the main character or main bad guys on?
[00:37:23] What? No, he's the guy from Waco,
[00:37:26] which is what I was about to say.
[00:37:28] I was about to interrupt you and be like, dude,
[00:37:29] this fucking 14 year old knows about Waco.
[00:37:31] Well, I'm not sure what Waco is.
[00:37:33] You know what fucking Waco is?
[00:37:35] OK, hold on.
[00:37:36] Is that the one where they got separated in the past and they eat each other all winter?
[00:37:40] They got they got what?
[00:37:41] It's a Waco is a real thing.
[00:37:43] But Waco happens.
[00:37:45] I'm not saying it's one of the Waco's one of the most egregious
[00:37:48] overstepping of the government,
[00:37:50] of with of the of like government violent intervention ever in America.
[00:37:55] How long ago we talking, is this like a 70s thing or you were alive?
[00:37:59] I know. I don't want to.
[00:38:01] I think we were alive for that.
[00:38:02] It was 1993.
[00:38:03] So we were babies.
[00:38:05] I was not born yet after.
[00:38:07] Oh, wait, no. This is Waco.
[00:38:09] Oh, no. I was going to be like, oh, no, this is when he died.
[00:38:12] Oh, wait, he died in Waco.
[00:38:13] So never mind. That is correct.
[00:38:15] All right.
[00:38:16] Known as the Waco siege or the Waco massacre
[00:38:19] where the U.S. feds and state law enforcement in Texas
[00:38:23] raided a compound.
[00:38:25] Oh, yeah. The pictures don't look good.
[00:38:27] Yeah, it's horrific.
[00:38:28] There's it.
[00:38:29] It really, really looks like that.
[00:38:31] It really looks like the government just gave up and decided to murder everybody
[00:38:35] like with all the evidence that came out there.
[00:38:37] And there is this sniper who I'm going to lose my mind.
[00:38:44] I can't get into this because this will make me actually fucking angry.
[00:38:46] But there's a sniper that is he was in this
[00:38:49] and also another thing called Ruby Ridge.
[00:38:52] This is like some black pilling shit.
[00:38:54] I don't even I think since you're in the military,
[00:38:56] I don't even think you're allowed to learn about this.
[00:38:57] I'm going to be honest.
[00:38:58] Yeah, OK.
[00:39:00] This is this is awful fucking shit,
[00:39:03] where the government's completely oversteps everything.
[00:39:06] The parties involved are ATF, FBI, Texas Rangers,
[00:39:10] Air National Guard, Alabama National Guard.
[00:39:13] Excuse me. I misread that.
[00:39:15] So I mean, that's I'm not going to have any affiliation with those guys.
[00:39:19] Yeah, I don't know.
[00:39:20] I don't know how I don't know how the military works.
[00:39:22] Like there's words we're not allowed to say as mailmen.
[00:39:24] I mean, yeah, they're the obvious words to talk about. Yeah.
[00:39:27] I can't go around saying the obvious words that I can't say.
[00:39:32] I don't know. Waco is insane.
[00:39:34] Actually, there is a fucking really awesome.
[00:39:36] Let me see here.
[00:39:37] I think I brought this guy up a couple of times.
[00:39:40] Count Dankula has a video on it that's really good.
[00:39:43] And Ruby Ridge, the Ruby Ridge video is even better.
[00:39:45] All right. We'll have to watch these after
[00:39:47] and I'll learn something about American history
[00:39:50] or modern American happenings, I guess,
[00:39:53] even though this is like over 20 years at this point.
[00:39:56] Oh, you know what?
[00:39:57] Does Dink? OK, actually, I lied.
[00:39:59] Dankula doesn't have a video.
[00:40:00] So Dankula has a video of Ruby Ridge.
[00:40:02] But I guess when the goon is the other is I've definitely seen this video too.
[00:40:08] So here, I'll send this to you.
[00:40:10] I'll put it on the notes so that I can remember to link it.
[00:40:14] But everyone needs to go watch.
[00:40:15] Watch when the goons video on Waco and it is.
[00:40:20] Hey, y'all editing, Dave here.
[00:40:23] Even though I said I wouldn't talk about Waco anymore,
[00:40:25] I went on to rant for what is it like 15 minutes straight about Waco.
[00:40:31] And instead of cutting it out, I'm going to make it go by really fast
[00:40:34] because I thought that that was funnier.
[00:40:35] It's so absurd.
[00:40:51] He rebarreled his gun.
[00:40:52] This guy, I can't do it.
[00:40:54] I'm getting mad. I'm spiraling.
[00:40:56] Give me out of this.
[00:40:57] Anyways, going back to this child.
[00:41:01] Oh, I'm on the wrong page.
[00:41:02] OK, well, I was playing the game and there's one part
[00:41:06] where you meet up with a man running for Senate and his son
[00:41:09] lost his campaign truck.
[00:41:11] He said something about Obama loving libtards.
[00:41:15] And my mom heard it.
[00:41:16] And she said, What are you doing?
[00:41:17] Turn that video game off right now.
[00:41:19] I will let you play conservative propaganda.
[00:41:22] Well, you're giving her suffered that southern accent.
[00:41:24] But yeah, I was the wrong way with it. Yeah.
[00:41:28] I explained to her that this is just some side thing
[00:41:31] and that this is just a game where you shoot people in a cult
[00:41:34] and has nothing to do with modern politics.
[00:41:36] Wait a minute. No, you're wrong.
[00:41:39] Actually, it's the whole game is about modern politics.
[00:41:43] Even Far Cry.
[00:41:45] When we played six or seven, it was also about modern politics.
[00:41:48] Yeah, it's about like LGBTQ shit and like, yeah, incredible.
[00:41:53] And you're like fucking Cuba, like a fucking like third
[00:41:56] whatever third world made up country they had.
[00:41:59] Yeah. She then got even more upset when she found out
[00:42:02] it was similar to the Waco incident.
[00:42:04] So she decided she didn't want me to be involved in cults.
[00:42:08] So she took away the video game.
[00:42:09] I was so pissed she won't let me have it back.
[00:42:12] OK, now this is I am with the mom on this one, actually.
[00:42:17] Like I would not do you can.
[00:42:22] You don't have the fucking faculty to learn about Waco
[00:42:25] when you're young, like you got to be older
[00:42:28] so that you can observe things from multiple ways
[00:42:30] because it is so heinous, like it's so bad, like it's so obviously bad.
[00:42:34] And it will make you ridiculously radical.
[00:42:37] Like if you grow up with Waco in your mind,
[00:42:40] was this for radicalized?
[00:42:43] This is not Far Cry because Far Cry is a video game.
[00:42:45] But it's weird that he already knows what Waco is as a 14 year old.
[00:42:49] You know what I mean?
[00:42:50] Which is funny for me to say, because when I was like 12,
[00:42:52] I was on Rod dot com watching people get beheaded and shit.
[00:42:55] So it's like I but it's like I learned from me.
[00:42:58] I'm crazy now because of that shit.
[00:43:00] So it's like, oh, yeah, you got it.
[00:43:02] You got to avoid cults, right?
[00:43:04] By taking away video games.
[00:43:06] If anything, video games keeps you from joining cults and stuff like that.
[00:43:10] I would say she shouldn't.
[00:43:13] She doesn't really need to take away Far Cry,
[00:43:15] but it makes sense if she doesn't want him to turn into some wild,
[00:43:19] crazy conspiracy nut like this will Alex Jones somebody
[00:43:24] learning about Waco as a child when you're still you don't know anything.
[00:43:28] Like you're just you're going to grow up knowing, oh,
[00:43:31] the government's just going to come and murder me at any point in any time.
[00:43:34] Like for no reason, they will find reasons to kill me.
[00:43:38] Like that's how you'll grow up learning.
[00:43:40] Like, let's all took fifth grade government class.
[00:43:43] It's a requirement.
[00:43:44] So we know how it is.
[00:43:46] It's like when we did, we did not learn about Waco in government class.
[00:43:52] No, you have to take like at least what half a year maybe of Oklahoma
[00:43:56] class. Do you remember that?
[00:43:58] Yeah. Now I don't remember the class.
[00:44:01] No, because it was boring as fuck.
[00:44:03] It was just like these are the tribes and we didn't even learn about black
[00:44:07] about Black Wall Street in Tulsa.
[00:44:09] Well, no, because we made it like the Trail of Tears and we ran out of time
[00:44:12] and they're like that is enough to fulfill the state requirements.
[00:44:15] That is it's so funny you say that because I was just arguing
[00:44:18] with someone on the Internet about that, like about like how it's like,
[00:44:21] well, we never fucking learn about the heinous shit
[00:44:25] that happened in 15 years ago in history class.
[00:44:28] And I'm like, bitch, there's so much history to go over.
[00:44:31] And that is a tiny part that you're like the fucking most modern shit.
[00:44:36] Like it makes total sense that like we don't have enough time.
[00:44:39] We're still talking about Shakespeare right now.
[00:44:41] Like we haven't made that is 12 seasons in the future. Right.
[00:44:46] Anyways, enough about the American education system. Back to Fargo.
[00:44:49] I then had my friend let me borrow his copy and I finished the game.
[00:44:53] I would play a night when she was sleeping or when she was away.
[00:44:58] I have the copy of my backpack and I brought it back to school.
[00:45:01] I gave it back to my friend and then a teacher saw me hand it to him.
[00:45:05] The teacher called my par nets for having violent contraband
[00:45:10] and they threatened to suspend me.
[00:45:12] My mom was so pissed.
[00:45:14] She ground me for the next month and took away my PS4.
[00:45:17] She said she won't buy me a PS5 either.
[00:45:22] I told my mom, she is the worst mom ever.
[00:45:25] And she got really sad saying it's just
[00:45:28] trying to protect me from the dangers.
[00:45:31] I told her she's being controlling and I hate her for it.
[00:45:34] Rise up, gamers rise up.
[00:45:37] This seems fake based on that last fair.
[00:45:40] Yeah, they were losing me again.
[00:45:41] Yeah, I don't know what's going on.
[00:45:43] So at first I was like, what the violent contraband for a video game really?
[00:45:48] But then again, I'm like, if if a 14 year old has a rated M
[00:45:52] for mature game and authority person finds it,
[00:45:55] like I think they have to say something right.
[00:45:57] You'd think that but it's weird that games get held at standard
[00:46:00] because like there's some pretty extremist books
[00:46:03] you're going to be like bringing this.
[00:46:04] Oh, yeah.
[00:46:05] But it's like just based on just like maybe the cover,
[00:46:09] because I assume it's man with gun on cover or something.
[00:46:12] Well, it's like they don't have mind comp in the in the elementary school,
[00:46:16] like in the high school library, right?
[00:46:18] Yeah, probably not.
[00:46:19] But it is also like if you brought like an R-rated movie in there
[00:46:22] or like any chance of a massacre or something.
[00:46:25] Yeah, like it's also going to probably trip up some flags.
[00:46:28] Yeah. But then again, he's at the age of 14,
[00:46:31] like, which is like when he would be wanting to look at this shit.
[00:46:35] Yeah. Also, whenever you like,
[00:46:36] you can see like an R-rated movie when you're like 15, right?
[00:46:39] Or something. I don't even know what.
[00:46:41] I think it was 17 to see an R-rated movie or no, you have to be 18
[00:46:46] rated in for mature games of 17.
[00:46:47] I think you have to be 18 to watch an R-rated movie.
[00:46:49] I know this because I tried to sneak out.
[00:46:51] When I was in high school in Macalester,
[00:46:53] I was always trying to sneak into R-rated movies
[00:46:55] and they would never let me in.
[00:46:57] All right.
[00:46:57] So is the mom an asshole for taking away the violent contraband
[00:47:01] that's full of conservative propaganda?
[00:47:05] No, fuck this kid.
[00:47:07] Take you take it. Take everything away.
[00:47:09] I know.
[00:47:12] Maybe she should try spending some time with her kid
[00:47:15] on the game or something and be like, yeah, I know what you play
[00:47:17] for a little bit, and maybe I can actually learn
[00:47:20] because like she doesn't seem to understand what games are.
[00:47:22] The dad seems to have been the girl in the family.
[00:47:25] OK, hold on.
[00:47:26] So it's like at first at the halfway point, I would be like, yeah,
[00:47:29] maybe she should do some research, try to figure out far cry five
[00:47:32] is try to understand like what he's playing and stuff.
[00:47:35] But now it's not even about that anymore.
[00:47:37] Now it is about him going behind her back
[00:47:40] and going through extensive, like sneaky effort to play this thing
[00:47:44] that specifically she told him not to play.
[00:47:46] So it is like a completely different charge now.
[00:47:49] It's like at first he was getting a seatbelt ticket,
[00:47:51] but then he reached for the officer's gun.
[00:47:53] And so now, you know what I mean?
[00:47:55] Oh, yeah.
[00:47:57] God, I was at the playground the other day.
[00:48:00] I think it was yesterday that was that I was that I was at the baby park.
[00:48:03] You know that your favorite level on Super Mario Kart
[00:48:05] or whatever the baby park.
[00:48:07] But I was there with Arthur.
[00:48:08] It's for kids ages like one to four or something like that.
[00:48:12] Anyways, there's like some like 10 year olds
[00:48:14] doing front flip parkour in on the little baby houses
[00:48:17] because they just build this park.
[00:48:18] It's like really nice or whatever.
[00:48:19] And so I'm like, fucking kids, you know, and
[00:48:23] there's like another mom with a baby over there
[00:48:25] and a security forces dude comes over, which is an airman
[00:48:28] that's working basically as a cop on base.
[00:48:30] And he comes over and he's he's he's packed and loaded.
[00:48:34] He's got his service weapon.
[00:48:35] He's got his battle armor on and everything.
[00:48:37] He walks over and he starts playing with the baby.
[00:48:39] It's his kid.
[00:48:40] You know, he's on duty and he's just in the area.
[00:48:42] So he just stopped by the visit.
[00:48:43] Cool. But the kids that were, you know, doing parkour on the roof,
[00:48:48] whatever, I'm like, do this bitch just call the cops on us?
[00:48:51] She told us to get off the roof.
[00:48:52] So that it ever.
[00:48:53] And I'm like, these fucking kids.
[00:48:54] Meanwhile, I'm watching Arthur go down the slide.
[00:48:56] Go, wee, you know.
[00:48:58] But these kids, like, I can't believe she called the cops.
[00:49:00] Oh, are they going to say something to somebody?
[00:49:01] I won't even do anything. We're just climbing and stuff.
[00:49:03] You know, I wonder if somebody was smoking because it's 420.
[00:49:08] And I'm like, oh, my God, I'm like five feet from these kids.
[00:49:11] And I'm like, these walking kids, those kids are as well.
[00:49:15] So more kids come over and they're like, why are the cops here?
[00:49:19] Was the fuzz beating on our door as they're like hanging out in the kiddie
[00:49:23] park or territory? Yeah.
[00:49:26] And I'm like, what is happening?
[00:49:27] What's all these street punks that are sweating the fuzz?
[00:49:31] Yeah, dude, I was so when I got out.
[00:49:33] So I went to watch the spy family movie in the movie theater alone by myself.
[00:49:38] Yeah, which is awesome.
[00:49:39] Yeah. And I had my I had my cowboy bebop like hoodie on.
[00:49:44] You know what I mean?
[00:49:44] So it's got like it's like got these cool patterns on it and shit as I leave.
[00:49:48] I'm leaving. I'm walking out.
[00:49:49] There's a bunch of fucking kids everywhere because it's like it's fucking
[00:49:52] Friday, Saturday night.
[00:49:54] I don't remember when I watched it as I'm walking.
[00:49:56] They're all standing on the sidewalk like they're talking, having fun,
[00:49:59] giggling stuff, and they see me and they go quiet and they move out of my way.
[00:50:03] And I'm like, that was strange.
[00:50:05] So now I'm like, what are they going to do when I walk by
[00:50:07] because they're going to fuck with me or something?
[00:50:09] And as I walk by, I hear one of them like legit, like whispering,
[00:50:13] like, is that like a fucking biker dude?
[00:50:15] Is that a biker?
[00:50:16] Like I was like, what do I I just came from spy family?
[00:50:19] I've got an anime hoodie on. It's dark.
[00:50:21] That's I mean, to be fair.
[00:50:22] But like I had my I had my beanie on.
[00:50:24] I had my hoodie.
[00:50:25] It's like maybe I looked threatening with resting bitch face or something.
[00:50:29] I don't know.
[00:50:29] But those kids, I scared the shit out of them when I walked past.
[00:50:32] I don't know what the fuck I did.
[00:50:33] And you drive to your car with this broken window and go home.
[00:50:36] Yeah, no, I got my window fixed.
[00:50:38] OK, I got it fixed literally the next morning.
[00:50:41] No, kids are dumb. Definitely.
[00:50:44] They're so fucking but that it's like, dude, the screaming fella
[00:50:47] and and biker man like I like it.
[00:50:50] What have I become?
[00:50:52] What what am I become?
[00:50:54] All right. So round it up.
[00:50:55] I think the kid is an asshole, but I think the mom is an asshole too,
[00:50:58] because this could have been ended in act act two or whatever
[00:51:02] before she took the game initially away.
[00:51:05] If she would have just sat down and communicated better.
[00:51:08] But well, she did.
[00:51:09] And then he freaked out and went crazy, it seems,
[00:51:12] and started being all secretive.
[00:51:15] I think that kids are just going to do this no matter what you do.
[00:51:17] I think if she even if she sat him down and talked to him and like, look,
[00:51:21] you're too young to learn about Waco, yada, yada, yada, all this shit.
[00:51:24] Then he probably still would have stuck behind her back.
[00:51:27] I would have. I would have still I would have.
[00:51:29] If I could find a friend with Far Cry five and get a copy from him
[00:51:32] and then sneak it because I did this one of my stories about the first
[00:51:36] the first time I played the GameCube was me sneaking Resident Evil
[00:51:39] out of my dad's liquor cabinet because I wanted to because he told me
[00:51:43] specifically not to play that one.
[00:51:44] And I was like, well, that's the one I'm going to fucking play now.
[00:51:47] That's the only one I want.
[00:51:49] Um, honestly, I the mom is fine.
[00:51:53] Like if you if the if the mom doesn't want him to play
[00:51:57] violent video games, then sorry, dude.
[00:52:00] Like you're 14.
[00:52:02] Like you got to you got to listen to your mom, man.
[00:52:04] I don't know what else played Resident Evil, Fallout, Skyrim,
[00:52:07] Call of Duty and Battlefield.
[00:52:10] Where did you see Resident Evil at?
[00:52:11] Like, oh, no, there's an evil red dead.
[00:52:13] Excuse me.
[00:52:14] Yeah, those games are definitely all worse than Far Cry five,
[00:52:16] but she doesn't understand any of it.
[00:52:18] It's the same thing with like the kid
[00:52:20] what trying to get his mom to watch his football plays in Madden or whatever.
[00:52:23] I don't remember that story.
[00:52:25] And she just doesn't give a fuck.
[00:52:26] Like most people, if they're not into video games, they just
[00:52:29] they'll never be into video games, no matter what you do.
[00:52:31] And so it's like it sounds like this.
[00:52:34] This mom, the dad was into video games and the mom just wasn't.
[00:52:36] And so it's like you can't really.
[00:52:39] There's nothing you can do if your parents don't want don't like video games.
[00:52:42] It's going to suck.
[00:52:43] But you're a fucking kid.
[00:52:44] And it's like you.
[00:52:47] There might be some kind of higher level thing you don't understand.
[00:52:49] I don't think there's any 14 year olds listening to this podcast,
[00:52:52] but it's like if there is and you're in a situation like this,
[00:52:55] you just got to understand that sometimes sometimes things that things
[00:52:59] have happened to the parent in their life that have caused them
[00:53:02] to not to want to shelter you from that type of thing.
[00:53:06] Right. Like that she was there in Waco.
[00:53:09] Yeah, she watched the building burn down.
[00:53:11] She heard the screams.
[00:53:12] I don't know.
[00:53:13] I don't think I do know.
[00:53:14] I think the kids, the kids, a little bit of ass will be a kid.
[00:53:17] So again, yet again, Nave goes, oh, they're just kids, whatever.
[00:53:21] But if none of this is like heinous,
[00:53:25] she probably said she wasn't buying him a PS5 out of like frustration.
[00:53:30] And I bet she buys a mint one anyway.
[00:53:32] It's like probably I don't think it's fucking nuclear.
[00:53:35] We're not at Defcon five right now.
[00:53:37] All right. Time for yours.
[00:53:39] You see the one highlighted?
[00:53:40] Yeah. And this looks like a main account as well.
[00:53:43] Super pant man.
[00:53:45] Yeah, this guy I hope is a lot.
[00:53:47] He's posing on Sips T, whatever that is.
[00:53:51] Ask UK the Gunners, which is I think is a sports team.
[00:53:55] Joe was witness tenants in the UK are slash gaming.
[00:53:59] Clever comebacks.
[00:54:00] Yeah, this guy is active.
[00:54:02] He's reading this. Oh, he was in Banner Lord.
[00:54:05] What? Let's fucking look at the banner Lord instead.
[00:54:08] You know, God, this is the max size of your personal party,
[00:54:10] but you can extend your army size through companions.
[00:54:12] But a little offer, you can field an army of a thousand strong.
[00:54:15] Yeah, he's just literally talking about Banner.
[00:54:16] You a helping people that have questions about Banner Lord.
[00:54:20] Thank you for your service, Super Pant Man.
[00:54:23] Yeah, good. Good.
[00:54:23] Ready? What is one pant?
[00:54:27] I see this one one leg.
[00:54:29] You think one leg, but it has to come up to at least the waist part,
[00:54:33] I think because you got to have at least like a butt pocket too,
[00:54:37] because otherwise you would just be one leg man type.
[00:54:40] So like you just had leg warmers on or something.
[00:54:42] So it's like a Daisy Duke on one leg and then a full gene leg.
[00:54:48] I bet there I bet there are images of that, like on like a what a runway.
[00:54:52] You know what I mean? Like a fast.
[00:54:53] I love the joke is like how would dogs wear pants.
[00:54:56] And it's like with just the back legs and then goes up in their middle
[00:54:59] or across their chest all the way around them
[00:55:03] and he covers all four legs.
[00:55:05] Good stuff.
[00:55:07] Are you going to read this?
[00:55:08] Getting ladies with Daisy Dukes on Googling this,
[00:55:11] unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it.
[00:55:16] Am I the asshole for not am I the asshole for refusing?
[00:55:21] Not am I going crazy for no reason?
[00:55:25] Not asleep. Yeah.
[00:55:26] OK. Am I the asshole for refusing not to sleep in sailor moon bedsheets?
[00:55:31] Double negative.
[00:55:32] Yeah, double negative.
[00:55:33] So he's actually saying, am I the asshole for not sleeping?
[00:55:36] And sailor moon beds by sheets.
[00:55:38] I think he's intending to say, yeah, probably.
[00:55:42] Background. I male 29 and 29 sounds like a gun.
[00:55:47] You know what I mean?
[00:55:47] Anyway, background, I am 29 have been married to my wife,
[00:55:51] female 28 for five years, and we have a child together.
[00:55:55] Female two.
[00:55:58] She does all the housework occasionally.
[00:56:00] I might live the end, but she cleans. Yes.
[00:56:03] Oh, my God. So the pronoun game.
[00:56:05] Yes. The machine must refer to the kid.
[00:56:09] Occasionally, I might lend a hand, but she cleans, cooks and all those good things.
[00:56:14] I frequently tell my wife, I'm grateful for her hard work,
[00:56:16] and she decorates the house as she seems fit.
[00:56:19] Mainly in pink.
[00:56:20] And I do not have a say in this, nor do I particularly care.
[00:56:24] We have a lovely home, which is in no way because of my input.
[00:56:29] She takes pride in our bed and often buys new bedding
[00:56:32] with various patterns or themes.
[00:56:33] Normally, this bedding is pink, which I don't particularly like,
[00:56:37] but I wouldn't complain.
[00:56:38] Would that like keep you up at night?
[00:56:40] Like it's like breaking him.
[00:56:43] No, I know.
[00:56:43] I'm not.
[00:56:44] I was going to say most sheets are white and that's brighter than being.
[00:56:48] That was a stupid question.
[00:56:49] So she recently bought Sailor Moon bedding.
[00:56:52] I'm no hardcore anime person, but isn't this anime for 13 year old girls?
[00:56:57] Oh, no, I'm too.
[00:56:59] I'm to sleep in bedding with these stupid princess pictures
[00:57:02] and rabbits and cats on it.
[00:57:04] I feel like a lion.
[00:57:07] Go on. I feel like a lion has to be drawn somewhere.
[00:57:10] I asked her how she would feel if I bought Thomas the Tank Engine bedding,
[00:57:14] but she said it isn't the same.
[00:57:16] I got quite angry about it.
[00:57:18] My dad would roll in his grave if he knew I was sleeping
[00:57:21] and little girls bedding.
[00:57:22] She put the bedding in.
[00:57:24] She put the bedding on anyway, and I'm threatening to sleep
[00:57:27] downstairs until it's removed.
[00:57:28] She's angry and says, I'm being childish.
[00:57:33] There's some edits here, but what do you think so far?
[00:57:36] This guy's an asshole.
[00:57:38] I'm just leaving the bedding.
[00:57:40] Did I?
[00:57:42] This this this wife seems like a perpetual line stepper
[00:57:46] like you put everything in pink, everything she's ruining is masculinity.
[00:57:50] She's turned them into a little girl.
[00:57:54] What did the person say in the in park?
[00:57:57] I don't remember some conservative Obama libtard thing.
[00:58:02] All right.
[00:58:02] For the record, I feel like I don't do any of the house
[00:58:05] designing in my house.
[00:58:08] Basically, I have like my desk that I'm at right now is like how a layout
[00:58:12] and then Jana handles the rest of the home decorating sims style
[00:58:16] because I could care less about that.
[00:58:19] And it's hard for me to put myself in this guy's setting
[00:58:22] and be like, I do actually care.
[00:58:24] Like if how can he not care about everything else
[00:58:28] so much that he states that he could not care less.
[00:58:31] But then these sheets are the step too far.
[00:58:34] I think that I think that's just his line.
[00:58:36] I think he just doesn't want to be in like a he's what he perceives it as.
[00:58:40] It's not really particularly that it's a girly thing, it seems.
[00:58:43] It's that it looks like he's sleeping in.
[00:58:45] He is like it's you might as well make the bed a fucking.
[00:58:48] What is the Kachal race car?
[00:58:50] You know, race car bed.
[00:58:53] Yeah, race car bed.
[00:58:55] You might as well do that because he thinks he's like a childish thing
[00:58:58] or something.
[00:58:58] I don't know.
[00:58:59] Maybe maybe it does a little bit have to do with that.
[00:59:01] It's Sailor Moon.
[00:59:02] But I think that maybe like if he has friends over, he's afraid
[00:59:07] people are going to look in there and see he already probably gets shit.
[00:59:09] If his whole house is pink, maybe because that's it.
[00:59:12] Dude, it has nothing to do with like homosexuality or like females
[00:59:16] or anything, dude, when you're with your boys,
[00:59:18] they will bust your balls about anything, anything that they could perceive
[00:59:22] that can be picked on about.
[00:59:24] They will pick on you about it.
[00:59:26] If your shoes come untied while you're walking.
[00:59:28] Oh, man, you're a goner.
[00:59:30] Yeah, they're going to bring it up for months.
[00:59:32] They're going to be like, all right, we got to cross the street.
[00:59:33] Hey, Nave, your shoes.
[00:59:37] Don't you tripping, falling on the crosswalk and get run over.
[00:59:43] So maybe he's just like at the end of his rope with his friends
[00:59:45] or something, I don't think it has anything to do really with this
[00:59:48] with his wife or something.
[00:59:50] I think it's just that like he's got like
[00:59:54] he's got all of this already, and it's just like a straw
[00:59:57] that broke the cables back.
[00:59:58] Like I bet if the whole house was like normal
[00:59:59] and then she put those sailor moon sheets on his bed,
[01:00:02] then he probably wouldn't be at 10 like he is now.
[01:00:06] You know what I mean?
[01:00:07] So do you think this could have been building for a while,
[01:00:09] then is what you're suggesting?
[01:00:11] Yeah, because he immediately start goes to the my house is pink.
[01:00:15] My my dog is pink in my doors.
[01:00:19] My milk is pink.
[01:00:20] It's terrible.
[01:00:21] All right.
[01:00:22] Do you think it is problematic to have
[01:00:25] sailor moon in particular sheets?
[01:00:30] Not really.
[01:00:30] If you have you have two women in the house,
[01:00:33] you can kind of let that fly by.
[01:00:35] A lot of people are like a lot of men specifically are like
[01:00:38] very sensitive about their masculinity.
[01:00:41] Like there's not comfortable with it, I guess,
[01:00:44] like comfortable with anything and not being masculine.
[01:00:46] It seems like this guy has like a barometer,
[01:00:49] like a pretty deep burp.
[01:00:50] Like what am I trying to say?
[01:00:52] He has his line is further than I think a macho man would be.
[01:00:55] You know what I mean?
[01:00:56] Because he's already letting things be peak and whatever.
[01:00:58] But I don't know.
[01:01:00] Now, do you think this could be like,
[01:01:02] where do you stand on the body pillow argument
[01:01:04] like the anime body pillows?
[01:01:06] Not a fan.
[01:01:07] I'm not because that's the thing.
[01:01:10] There is a line.
[01:01:11] There's a line where I have anime shit all over my house.
[01:01:14] I have this huge fucking what is it called?
[01:01:16] A tapestry of a huge tapestry.
[01:01:18] With this anime girl, it's pink and like teal.
[01:01:22] And then it's like an anime girl with a bunch of Shiba
[01:01:24] Inus all over the place.
[01:01:25] It looks like a Pokemon game kind of.
[01:01:26] And it's like I have girly shit all over my house.
[01:01:28] I and I can explain it to my friends and be like, dude,
[01:01:31] I just like cute shit, whatever.
[01:01:32] But I don't know how I would explain an anime body pillow.
[01:01:36] Pillow. Fuck.
[01:01:37] Pillar. Yeah.
[01:01:39] I don't know how to explain it on
[01:01:42] I don't know, Sailor Moon, the anime high school girl princess.
[01:01:46] That would be even harder to explain, I think.
[01:01:49] Yeah.
[01:01:50] So I don't think that's the connection they're going with with the sheets,
[01:01:53] unless maybe he sees it that way.
[01:01:56] I don't know.
[01:01:57] You got weird with the Thomas the Tank Engine thing.
[01:02:00] That's the thing is that like, I think in his head,
[01:02:02] he just considers it like a car childless kids. Yeah.
[01:02:05] So he just thought of like another cartoon for kids
[01:02:08] that boys tend to watch, I guess.
[01:02:10] I don't know.
[01:02:11] Thomas the Tank Engine is like a boy thing.
[01:02:12] It's not a Skyrim thing.
[01:02:14] Yeah.
[01:02:18] All right. Yeah.
[01:02:20] Oh, the edits.
[01:02:22] The edits are really helpful.
[01:02:24] For those asking, we both jointly own the house.
[01:02:26] However, I am the primary income for our family.
[01:02:29] My wife is stay at home mom.
[01:02:31] Sorry for the double negative in my title.
[01:02:34] Oh, you just the double negative.
[01:02:37] Yeah.
[01:02:37] So I'm glad you know all of these fucking crazy acronyms
[01:02:40] that I've never seen before in my life.
[01:02:41] These are like specifically for married people, I assume.
[01:02:44] You know, the mother in law acronym, you know, the home.
[01:02:48] There's a certain jargon or lingo.
[01:02:52] Anyways, I'd say that they're both kind of being assholes.
[01:02:54] Like he doesn't need to throw such a big fit over blankets
[01:02:57] threatening to sleep downstairs and maybe
[01:03:01] just communicate better.
[01:03:02] See like, hey, I want to pick out the sheets.
[01:03:04] I'm sure the wife wouldn't care if he picked out this one thing.
[01:03:08] I think the problem is that she already bought them.
[01:03:11] And it's not I don't it's not she said she buys them all the time.
[01:03:14] They're changing.
[01:03:15] She's like every year, it seems.
[01:03:17] I think you're supposed to do that.
[01:03:18] I don't do it, but I think you're supposed to know.
[01:03:20] But I'm the whole confidant situation.
[01:03:23] Are you changing full confidant every year?
[01:03:25] No, it says she's right.
[01:03:30] It just is betting.
[01:03:31] It does say in the title, it says she's but in this post, it says betting.
[01:03:35] So that's kind of weird.
[01:03:36] So if we if it's a full if it's the full shebang,
[01:03:40] that's expensive.
[01:03:41] It is a full hole like the whole theme, like blankets,
[01:03:44] pillowcases, everything that.
[01:03:47] Is a lot and I could probably I probably
[01:03:51] like feel for this for this super pant man a little bit more.
[01:03:54] If it's like you're decked out in like the whole the whole merch line,
[01:03:58] you know what I mean?
[01:03:59] But it is literally just the sheets.
[01:04:02] You probably aren't going to see them.
[01:04:05] Yeah, probably if you're making your bed, you know what I mean?
[01:04:07] So it's like I don't know if that's a big deal.
[01:04:10] Even work like that's that's like a little bit insane, actually,
[01:04:14] if you have like a bunch of blankets over the over the sheets,
[01:04:16] so you never see them.
[01:04:17] I would I would sleep in sailor moon sheets.
[01:04:19] Yeah, I would say I probably I wouldn't because I want like
[01:04:23] I assume sailor moon sheets would be like kind of cheap.
[01:04:25] And so like I like to sleep in like nice.
[01:04:28] I got the ones with a little bit of stretch.
[01:04:30] Everything in my life is cheap except for my bed.
[01:04:33] Anyways, assholes here.
[01:04:36] Yeah, a little bit.
[01:04:38] Yeah, I don't think he's throwing a huge.
[01:04:40] I assume he's just threatening to sleep downstairs.
[01:04:43] But it's like I don't think this is something they're going to get divorced over.
[01:04:46] No, you know, he's not going to strike her down over this.
[01:04:49] So judge they were sailor moon sheets.
[01:04:51] Yeah, innocent.
[01:04:54] Is that what is on this court?
[01:04:56] All right.
[01:04:57] Oh, I don't know.
[01:04:58] I've never been to divorce court.
[01:05:01] Are you guilty and innocent in divorce court?
[01:05:03] I don't know.
[01:05:04] There's got to be someone that's guilty here.
[01:05:06] Yeah. The lawyers.
[01:05:09] All right. And with that, let's take a short break
[01:05:10] and then we can come back with our game of the week.
[01:05:12] This seat, the music plays.
[01:05:18] I only have two.
[01:05:19] I have one and a half PBRs in my whole house.
[01:05:22] Dude, I wish I could grab my camera because you open my fridge.
[01:05:26] It's completely empty except one can of PBR.
[01:05:28] This is the truth.
[01:05:32] Got that bachelor life.
[01:05:33] God, I saw a stupid YouTube video that's like
[01:05:36] finally, I found bachelor show.
[01:05:38] Humans are like monkeys and I have gorilla feed,
[01:05:42] which is the feed that they feed the gorillas in the zoo.
[01:05:44] So this should nutritionally.
[01:05:46] I've talked to these these doctors and everything.
[01:05:49] I could live off of this gorilla feed,
[01:05:51] which is only like 60 dollars a bag and a bag should last me
[01:05:55] approximately two weeks.
[01:05:56] So if I can, you know, drop my food cost down to six dollars,
[01:06:00] I'll be just fine.
[01:06:01] And so he has like a cup of water.
[01:06:02] He grabs these like greenish pellets and he just like eat someone
[01:06:06] and then he starts gagging.
[01:06:08] It's like he's like, I can't do it.
[01:06:12] It probably tastes like rabbit shit.
[01:06:14] Yeah, I don't know what it could possibly taste like.
[01:06:16] Some like protein.
[01:06:17] Be like round.
[01:06:19] It's like ground up bones and shit like the shit that they leave
[01:06:22] that is left over from the fish fillets.
[01:06:25] You know, I have never tried dog food,
[01:06:28] but I always see the little pellets and I think about it.
[01:06:30] I think I can't I can't believe I've never eaten dog food either.
[01:06:33] But I do think every now and then I'll be feeding Molly
[01:06:36] and I'll stare at it for a second.
[01:06:38] Like these cocoa puffs don't look half bad.
[01:06:41] They look like Reese's puffs for real.
[01:06:42] They really do.
[01:06:44] And she never wants it.
[01:06:46] She always waits until she's starving to eat it because I feed her
[01:06:50] so many chicken nuggets and shit.
[01:06:52] Well, what do you feed her like the old Roy?
[01:06:54] Twelve dollars for a 20 pound bag.
[01:06:56] No, I buy good dog food for and I'm always changing it.
[01:06:59] So that's probably actually not good.
[01:07:02] She I don't know if dogs like want the same food all the time.
[01:07:06] I always change it because I imagine they probably want variation.
[01:07:09] But right now she's got a lot.
[01:07:11] I got it right here.
[01:07:14] Rachel Ray Nutrish.
[01:07:17] Oh, no, it's not little bites.
[01:07:19] Real chicken and veggie recipe.
[01:07:22] So I don't think this is like the creme de la creme food,
[01:07:24] but it's like it's not cheap.
[01:07:27] Hmm. Good job taking care of your pets. Yep.
[01:07:31] And we're back to see to
[01:07:34] the seat to is an online social deduction horror game inspired
[01:07:37] inspire fear as the terror played detective as the innocent
[01:07:42] or create mayhem as the curse trapped with friends and strangers.
[01:07:46] Who can you trust to help you escape reviews mixed
[01:07:51] released September 14th, twenty twenty three developed by world makers
[01:07:55] who developed the seat one.
[01:07:59] Oh, God, it's falling.
[01:08:00] They're also.
[01:08:00] Oh, yeah.
[01:08:01] He's spinning the stupid clip art I put in there.
[01:08:04] All right. So one thing to note is that this game is free to play,
[01:08:08] but it launched as ten dollars.
[01:08:11] But then it went free to play.
[01:08:13] Is the original one cost money?
[01:08:15] The original is free to play as well.
[01:08:18] The C1.
[01:08:20] And we are specifically reviewing this because we were sent
[01:08:24] DLC keys for the seven dollar werewolf expansion,
[01:08:29] which came with a what's called a curse.
[01:08:34] Is that what they call it?
[01:08:35] They've tilted the thing so I can't read it.
[01:08:38] It came with a monster.
[01:08:39] Oh, it came with a terror where you the place a werewolf.
[01:08:42] This is like the fourth time we talked about werewolf center row
[01:08:45] and a weird the chemist who is one of the cursed,
[01:08:51] which is where was something that I it never comes up
[01:08:54] and until like this last month, we're just like the werewolf month.
[01:08:58] All right.
[01:08:58] We played, I think, around seven hours of this game.
[01:09:01] And I played a little bit more than you.
[01:09:03] At least I had about seven hours in this game.
[01:09:08] I think you probably know what I had.
[01:09:09] I don't remember.
[01:09:10] We played a lot the one night we played.
[01:09:12] We played for a long time.
[01:09:14] Yeah, it felt it felt like a long time.
[01:09:17] We ideal listeners when we played this one,
[01:09:18] I was playing like every day leading it up to me and Dave playing on
[01:09:22] like a Friday night where we played for hours.
[01:09:25] Like it was a long it was one of our longest game sessions in a while.
[01:09:28] Not counting whatever that fucking show was the week before
[01:09:31] when we played the six and a half hour long play session.
[01:09:35] What's that game called the quarry?
[01:09:36] Which I know JP today and he listened to our episode
[01:09:39] and inspired him and his wife to play the quarry together
[01:09:43] and they're enjoying it.
[01:09:44] As we as we spoil the shit out of it.
[01:09:46] Well, his wife won't know.
[01:09:48] So that's cool.
[01:09:49] Like I wonder he should write.
[01:09:50] I don't know if you write in, but you should text you and ask you like
[01:09:53] not ask you but tell you how the couch co-op was.
[01:09:56] Well, he's already there's been some variations like for one,
[01:09:58] his social media girl or like died
[01:10:01] like in like chapter five or something like that.
[01:10:04] Like probably in the first spot she could have then.
[01:10:06] Yeah. Where was the thing where it's like,
[01:10:08] do I proceed this way to certain death or do I go over here?
[01:10:11] And he chose to go on purpose.
[01:10:12] Yeah. He said he hated her.
[01:10:14] And I figured JP is that kind of person.
[01:10:17] JP is the kind of guy who learned about Waco when he was 14.
[01:10:24] So as I don't worry.
[01:10:25] I. So this is an among us like, I guess,
[01:10:29] or it's like the classic werewolf games where there's a killer.
[01:10:32] We got to figure out who's doing it.
[01:10:34] The roles are broken up to you have your killers,
[01:10:37] which is the terrors in this game.
[01:10:39] I'm probably going to call them the killers or the monster.
[01:10:42] You have your humans, which are called the innocents,
[01:10:45] and they're able to vote and try to vote out the terrors.
[01:10:49] And then you have the cursed,
[01:10:50] which is supposed to be like some kind of wild card.
[01:10:53] The way they win is different than the other two teams
[01:10:56] because your killers win by killing off everyone else.
[01:10:59] Your innocence win by voting out the killers.
[01:11:03] They're like the clown class in that space station 13 or whatever.
[01:11:08] They are talking about is that the like I remember the jester
[01:11:10] in Starcraft werewolf or whatever, where the whole way the jester wins
[01:11:14] is like get by getting people to kill them.
[01:11:17] Like they vote to kill them or whatever.
[01:11:19] It's like then the jester wins.
[01:11:21] And so he's going to be awesome.
[01:11:22] He has to be as suspicious as possible without them being like,
[01:11:27] this guy is just a clown.
[01:11:29] Like he's not really the guy.
[01:11:31] He's he has to show up to a broken window
[01:11:34] car and start looking in the car.
[01:11:37] Yeah, he's to be just suspicious enough,
[01:11:39] but not so suspicious that they're like, this guy's obviously fake.
[01:11:44] All right.
[01:11:44] But so we received, you know, both of us each got,
[01:11:48] you know, a seven dollar DLC key, which gave us the werewolf class
[01:11:52] as a monster, and I really liked how the werewolf class
[01:11:56] like played like a like, I don't know if you played the standard monster
[01:11:59] that you start with, but he's a little boring.
[01:12:02] Like his whole thing is that he can just spawn the eyeballs around the map
[01:12:05] and they kind of tell you where it was.
[01:12:07] No, yeah.
[01:12:08] They're like, like CCT, CCT cameras.
[01:12:11] Well, they're annoying.
[01:12:13] They hurt you.
[01:12:14] Yeah, they hurt you.
[01:12:16] Yeah. And so I was like, I got killed because I was just standing in a room
[01:12:19] and they were staring at me, but I was standing next to the teleporter.
[01:12:21] I didn't know I was getting hurt.
[01:12:22] So I was just like, oh, I don't care if he shows up.
[01:12:24] I'm just going to go through this.
[01:12:25] Also, at that time, I was under the impression
[01:12:27] that the monster couldn't go to the portal because for some reason
[01:12:30] for like 12 games, the monster never followed me through the portal.
[01:12:33] So I of course, I thought that, but I don't know.
[01:12:38] All right.
[01:12:38] So there's that the werewolf, he has wolves that run around the map
[01:12:42] and he can howl and make the wolves go look for people or something.
[01:12:45] I'm not really sure.
[01:12:46] No, no, no.
[01:12:47] So I think there are a bunch of wolves around the map
[01:12:49] and I think it's similar to the eyeballs for the other guy
[01:12:52] and they're just wandering around.
[01:12:53] And I think when you how they howl back
[01:12:56] and then it shows you if they're near the wolf,
[01:13:00] like if they're standing somewhere close by the wolf,
[01:13:02] then it will be like, oh, there's a guy over there.
[01:13:05] All right.
[01:13:05] Werewolves also have a pounce, which lets them jump through things
[01:13:09] that the other monster cannot jump through the default monster.
[01:13:14] But this is the problem with that is that like it also opens
[01:13:17] like in the future, it opens up paths for people to escape you from,
[01:13:21] which is a little annoying because the people can't get through that either.
[01:13:24] Yeah, usually.
[01:13:26] All right.
[01:13:26] So, you know, the receiver review copies, of course,
[01:13:29] will not overly color our review, most likely,
[01:13:33] but we can be bought if you want to sponsor us in the future.
[01:13:38] Yes.
[01:13:39] All right.
[01:13:39] So right over the bat, I don't think there was a tutorial.
[01:13:43] If there was, I must have actually skipped it
[01:13:44] because I had no idea was happening when we started this game.
[01:13:47] There definitely wasn't because half of the steam reviews
[01:13:50] are about how there's not a tutorial.
[01:13:52] And so you're going to be really confused for the first hour
[01:13:54] of you playing this game.
[01:13:56] Yeah, I got voted out.
[01:13:58] I got voted out so many times that I didn't know what I was doing.
[01:14:00] Like the first like three or four times I played the matches.
[01:14:02] I was an innocent.
[01:14:03] And then the first time I was a monster, I activated a blood
[01:14:06] ulcer in front of everybody because I didn't know what it was.
[01:14:09] Yeah.
[01:14:10] So essentially in among us, I vented right in front of everybody.
[01:14:13] And so but like so I activated a blood and everyone's like,
[01:14:16] oh, my God, it's him.
[01:14:16] And they started beating me up.
[01:14:17] And I was like, what?
[01:14:19] What did I do?
[01:14:20] And then they're like, you fucking activated that thing.
[01:14:23] And I was like, OK, I didn't know what it was.
[01:14:25] It is me, but I didn't know what it was.
[01:14:27] The first time I've ever been.
[01:14:28] And they just laughed at me and voted me out.
[01:14:31] I was like, oh, I'm gone, I guess.
[01:14:33] Oh, which we need to highlight this game has in game voice chat,
[01:14:36] but it's also proximity based.
[01:14:38] So you can only talk to people when you're near them.
[01:14:40] Otherwise, you can't hear other players, which is really funny
[01:14:43] because you just hear people talking in other rooms
[01:14:46] when you're like walking by and you'll walk in and be like,
[01:14:48] May, where are you?
[01:14:50] And then I see you and I like run up to your.
[01:14:52] I'm like, good, I found you.
[01:14:53] Like you won't believe the bullshit I've been going through
[01:14:56] as we've been separated.
[01:14:57] You know, we've been in the same match for the last
[01:14:59] like three minutes or whatever.
[01:15:00] We just never encountered each other until we just happened
[01:15:03] to walk into the same room.
[01:15:05] Yeah, there was there was this one time.
[01:15:07] So like when you so the game,
[01:15:11] it takes place, it's like kind of like a day night cycle.
[01:15:14] We'll talk about it in a second.
[01:15:15] It's not really a day night cycle, but like we were in kind of
[01:15:17] like the night cycle thing where we're able to die and everything
[01:15:21] gets like really echoey.
[01:15:22] And I was just hearing people like talking in the back distance.
[01:15:25] And then I was like, I started to speak to them.
[01:15:28] This is like one of the first matches I played.
[01:15:30] And I was like, man, it's super echoey in here.
[01:15:32] And I started going, oh,
[01:15:36] it was so fucking funny.
[01:15:39] It sounded good to me.
[01:15:40] It was all echoey.
[01:15:42] Yeah, some good stuff.
[01:15:43] And it's funny because when you like,
[01:15:45] if you're in the the darkness phase or whatever,
[01:15:47] where the monsters are coming out,
[01:15:49] then you can talk to anyone on the map,
[01:15:51] but it's all echoey and distorted.
[01:15:53] So you just hear people screaming and yelling as they're being killed
[01:15:56] in the distance by the monsters and some good stuff.
[01:15:59] But I guess we can bring up the day night cycle.
[01:16:02] It is a reality cycle and a
[01:16:06] I forgot what they called it is like the inverse world
[01:16:09] or something like that, or the upside down world, the alternate.
[01:16:12] I don't know.
[01:16:13] Well, altered world.
[01:16:14] So it's basically like you have regular world
[01:16:17] where you can move around and do task and you don't worry about the monster.
[01:16:20] You can do voting, all that stuff.
[01:16:22] You have nightmare world
[01:16:24] where the monster transforms into the monster.
[01:16:26] It's super dark.
[01:16:27] You can't see anything and you're alone.
[01:16:30] And the monster can then hunt you down and kill you.
[01:16:32] And this is the only time they can kill you.
[01:16:34] They can't kill you in normal world
[01:16:36] because normal world, they're pretending to be another human.
[01:16:40] I remember at one point, right whenever I got you in the game,
[01:16:43] we were in like a lab map or something like that,
[01:16:45] and we were separated because I was like, all right, I need to help.
[01:16:48] Nave tried to explain him what to do because he does not know what he's doing.
[01:16:51] And so I tried to find you and you were on the other side of a door
[01:16:54] and the door is sealed until you punch in the code.
[01:16:56] And I'm like, hey, you got to get the code.
[01:16:58] And then you're like, I don't know what the code is.
[01:17:00] And I'm like, me either.
[01:17:01] And then a guy runs up behind me.
[01:17:03] He's like, oh, guys, I know what the code is.
[01:17:06] You know, like go on.
[01:17:07] And then two, two, three, three.
[01:17:12] And you punch it in and it's like,
[01:17:14] security lockout.
[01:17:16] That was not the code.
[01:17:17] He's like, no, no, wait, that's not the code.
[01:17:19] And then he did it again and told us another code that was also wrong.
[01:17:22] And you're like, is that not the code?
[01:17:24] And there's like a huge board on the line.
[01:17:26] Both of us.
[01:17:27] It says like lockdown code for three, three, three years.
[01:17:31] Yeah. Yeah.
[01:17:32] You're like, oh, it was literally on the wall behind us.
[01:17:35] It were all just standing at his door, not doing our task,
[01:17:38] not hunting monsters or anything like that.
[01:17:41] Like, God, this game is dumb as hell.
[01:17:43] That guy was probably the monster.
[01:17:45] Probably he was probably just wasting our time
[01:17:48] because much like among us, they you need to complete task.
[01:17:52] And after you complete like 50 tasks,
[01:17:54] you can get the key and you can escape dead by daylight style.
[01:17:58] And you just get out of there.
[01:17:59] And of course, when you get the key, it starts one last nightmare round
[01:18:03] where the monster is going to chase down everyone who's trying to escape.
[01:18:06] And yeah, I guess we can talk about the task now
[01:18:11] compared to the I don't know, among us task as like the default.
[01:18:15] These tasks were a lot easier.
[01:18:17] But most of them required you moving around in 3D space
[01:18:19] instead of just looking at a screen.
[01:18:22] I say it's like 50, 50.
[01:18:25] Yeah, because there's like the cards, like the card, like memory game.
[01:18:30] Yeah, where you move the thing so that a box can go inside.
[01:18:35] You got a.
[01:18:38] What else you got?
[01:18:39] I can't even think of any.
[01:18:40] I there's one there's one where like you use like a crematorium
[01:18:45] and you burn some bodies.
[01:18:47] Oh, yeah, I did that one once.
[01:18:48] And I was and then I got like shot and killed right away.
[01:18:51] As soon as I did it, I was like, OK, let's go.
[01:18:54] So you do the task after you complete so many tasks,
[01:18:57] you unlock an item point and you can go over to a store,
[01:19:00] which is like a mysterious hand coming out of a wall.
[01:19:03] And you can be like, hey, give me an item.
[01:19:05] And the items seem so random, but they all have uses.
[01:19:09] It's just kind of unclear when you first get them,
[01:19:11] even though they have descriptors about what you actually need to use them for
[01:19:14] like the gun.
[01:19:15] And like, what am I using the gun for?
[01:19:17] Because it doesn't work on the monster.
[01:19:20] Yeah, I didn't know that humans.
[01:19:24] Yeah, the gun is for shooting people and voting them out, essentially.
[01:19:27] Yeah, because you can vote people out, but it only makes them vulnerable.
[01:19:31] It doesn't like actually kick them out of the game.
[01:19:33] You have to kill them after that or down or.
[01:19:37] Yeah, it doesn't matter.
[01:19:38] Like it doesn't matter the order.
[01:19:40] You just have to do both of those.
[01:19:43] And so like there's a gun, the best monster defense is like the camera, I thought,
[01:19:48] because there's other items, but the camera is real good.
[01:19:50] Is the only other item I'd ever get, except sometimes
[01:19:53] I would buy the ball and chain and just fuck.
[01:19:55] Yeah, the leg irons because there's like handcuffs and leg irons
[01:19:58] and there's like a ball face mask thing like a ball gag pretty much.
[01:20:03] And you can just like stick them on other players
[01:20:05] when you're in the reality world and make some so they can't do anything
[01:20:08] like leg irons, you just can't move.
[01:20:10] And it's like, God, which I tried to use those on you
[01:20:14] at one point when I was really the killer and I had the leg irons.
[01:20:17] I'm like, I just need a leg iron and then we'll stop him.
[01:20:20] God, I mean, so mad.
[01:20:22] There was one point this is so stupid.
[01:20:24] There's one point where you were the killer.
[01:20:26] I knew it was you because I don't remember why, but I knew it was you.
[01:20:29] It was super obvious.
[01:20:30] You like blood all over.
[01:20:31] It was super.
[01:20:32] No, I I don't remember what I did.
[01:20:34] But the thing is that like you were accusing me in front of people
[01:20:40] and I wasn't talking and I was like, I know this is really suspicious,
[01:20:43] but I don't know what I even I don't even know what that is.
[01:20:45] A good defense somehow.
[01:20:47] Like not talking to some time a good defense.
[01:20:49] Yeah, because not everyone's talking in the game just by default.
[01:20:52] Like probably like half of the people we played with were talking to some extent.
[01:20:55] But I just kind of like would shake my head.
[01:20:57] No, like I would get and then I was just trying to beat Philip up.
[01:21:00] So people were like, maybe Phillips, the killer.
[01:21:03] It was just enough.
[01:21:04] Like literally, you got me to one vote away.
[01:21:06] Like only one person needed to vote me out and then no one did.
[01:21:10] And so I started hitting you and that everyone was like, hmm, maybe it is him.
[01:21:14] I don't know. Oh, my God.
[01:21:16] We got to a point where everyone knew was you two.
[01:21:18] And we just need to chase you down.
[01:21:20] And like, I don't know if you hear it.
[01:21:22] But I can hear you guys because I can see you also through walls.
[01:21:26] And so the other monster,
[01:21:28] because everyone was running around like it's fucking Lisa or whoever the fuck.
[01:21:31] I was your man.
[01:21:33] The other guy was like, Lisa, you're doing a really good job.
[01:21:35] We just need to hide. We can win this.
[01:21:37] And he was just talking me through. I wasn't talking to him either.
[01:21:40] And so he was like, because I didn't want anyone to overhear me.
[01:21:42] And I don't want you to overhear me.
[01:21:43] But he's over here somewhere. I hear him.
[01:21:45] So it's like, yeah.
[01:21:47] But he kept walking me through.
[01:21:48] He was just like, listen, let's just go over to the side.
[01:21:51] Let's there's some blood alters we can hit.
[01:21:53] Let's just split up. You go to the right.
[01:21:55] And I was like, okay. Yeah, sure.
[01:21:57] I just followed that guy around.
[01:21:58] And I'm pretty sure we lost anyways.
[01:22:00] So like we couldn't kill everybody.
[01:22:02] But I think we killed most of it, most of everyone.
[01:22:05] I remember that one even was funner because like I found the like announcer
[01:22:10] like boxer, whatever.
[01:22:10] I don't know if you heard it.
[01:22:11] And I was able to get on the loudspeaker.
[01:22:13] That's like attention everyone.
[01:22:16] Guns verse again seem to be on down.
[01:22:18] He's a redheaded girl.
[01:22:20] Shoot him on sight.
[01:22:22] I thought I thought it was so much fun.
[01:22:24] Like that was like the one of the funnest moment I had.
[01:22:26] And that was also the one where I think you had like the worst moment
[01:22:29] because it came down to you and it was me and the monster and one guy.
[01:22:34] Yeah. And so Philip told me because there's no tutorial.
[01:22:38] I didn't know it.
[01:22:39] I thought I just skipped the tutorial because I was I was relying on Philip.
[01:22:43] So Bill was like, you can't vote each other out at the end.
[01:22:46] Like you can't shoot each other.
[01:22:47] I didn't think you could.
[01:22:49] Why would you be able to vote each other out whenever it's just two people?
[01:22:53] That is exactly what happened to me at the end of the game.
[01:22:55] And I lost my mind.
[01:22:57] I was like, I because I wasn't even fighting back.
[01:22:59] I was just letting him punch me to death.
[01:23:01] And so I didn't know that I didn't know I could just shoot him and win.
[01:23:05] Like I was like so frustrated with that.
[01:23:08] Well, I guess it gets to the point when there's only three people left,
[01:23:11] it instantly makes all three of you vulnerable because we know
[01:23:14] one of you guys has to be the bad guy at that point.
[01:23:17] And the thing was, I only said that, you know, you can't
[01:23:20] because in the game I wasn't before, it came down to me
[01:23:23] and the monsters the last two, and he didn't do anything in the real world.
[01:23:26] He waited until I got the escape key and then he tried to chase me down.
[01:23:32] Which is very weird.
[01:23:33] I don't know if that was before or after, but that also happened
[01:23:35] one other time where the I was watching and it was you and one in the bad guy
[01:23:40] and the bad guy had the gun and he was just aiming at you
[01:23:42] while you were doing tasks the whole time.
[01:23:44] Yeah, so he could have he could have killed me at any time
[01:23:46] and voted me out and won the game, but he was just playing with me, I guess.
[01:23:50] And that's fine because I was dumb and didn't know what I was doing.
[01:23:53] I don't know.
[01:23:53] And I don't know if there's like an achievement for like winning
[01:23:56] as the monster, like in the bad zone or something.
[01:23:59] I don't know what the achievements are.
[01:24:00] So maybe he was doing that, you know, sometimes sometimes achievements
[01:24:04] make people play differently.
[01:24:06] But yeah, I mean, it's like there's like challenges in the game
[01:24:10] that make you do certain things.
[01:24:12] So maybe he was going for those.
[01:24:14] Oh, yeah.
[01:24:15] It makes me I don't know when the monsters are kind of fun to play
[01:24:19] anyways, so I bet he probably another thing
[01:24:21] he might just wanted to play as the monster again, like one more time.
[01:24:26] Which one of my favorite parts
[01:24:27] in the game is like when I'm playing as the human and there's a monster,
[01:24:31] I can juke the shit out of most people.
[01:24:34] It feels like like it.
[01:24:36] I was like, it must be crazy hard to catch people.
[01:24:39] It is not just some people are stupid.
[01:24:41] Like when I played Dead by Daylight, you are fucked
[01:24:43] if the fucking killer is next to you, like you're just fucked.
[01:24:46] You're never getting away from them.
[01:24:47] But in this game, I was like, who is it?
[01:24:49] Is that Zop like fucking running, like taking hard lefts, like
[01:24:53] instantly like confusing them running around with a flashbang.
[01:24:57] Then you have to ask them again.
[01:24:59] The fucking the camera is so funny, like I was running
[01:25:02] and I knew the fucking world was right behind me and I got to the portal
[01:25:06] and I turned around and flashed him one more time and then ran to the portal.
[01:25:10] I was like, oh, it's so funny.
[01:25:12] It's such a flex.
[01:25:15] So like it's it's interesting because like even when you are the monster,
[01:25:19] getting catching someone is not a confirmed kill.
[01:25:22] Oftentimes you have to catch them more than once
[01:25:24] unless it's later on in the game, because your health or your sanity bar,
[01:25:28] if it's full, one attack will not be enough to take someone down all the way.
[01:25:33] So you have to like confirm kills pretty much like it's not among us
[01:25:37] where you just click a single button and you just kill someone in the room with you,
[01:25:41] which among us seems to be more focused on the detective part of the game
[01:25:44] or the puzzling part.
[01:25:45] This is has a lot more.
[01:25:47] I was a mechanics to it of where like your controls and inputs
[01:25:51] actually matter, like you can juke to save your own life.
[01:25:57] Yeah. It's like a lot more action oriented.
[01:26:00] Let's see.
[01:26:01] Janna was even watching it and she said like the game even looks scary.
[01:26:05] Like when you're in the nightmare zone,
[01:26:06] I think it is a little scary, a little spooky.
[01:26:10] Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I don't know.
[01:26:12] I could see people like that get scared of video games might be scared of this.
[01:26:16] This is definitely not among us.
[01:26:18] Among us is not scary at all.
[01:26:19] So it's like spookiness.
[01:26:21] It's definitely more scary than that.
[01:26:23] I don't know if it's scarier than Dead by Daylight, like
[01:26:26] aesthetically or like Texas Chainsaw Massacre makes it kind of scarier.
[01:26:31] Texas Chainsaw Massacre is not scary when we played it, by the way.
[01:26:34] I do not remember Texas Chainsaw Massacre even a little bit.
[01:26:37] We didn't do it.
[01:26:38] I don't remember it.
[01:26:40] Yeah, I don't think the
[01:26:42] way was I say.
[01:26:43] Oh, yeah. So the first person does.
[01:26:44] It's so much more constricting.
[01:26:46] But it's because it takes literally just takes away information from you.
[01:26:50] So like you can't see around your body because that's one big thing in Texas
[01:26:53] Chainsaw Massacre is that you can look around.
[01:26:55] One thing in this game, in the settings, it had three audio
[01:26:59] and it wasn't terrible.
[01:27:02] But I didn't get killed.
[01:27:04] Yeah, I did get killed by a monster.
[01:27:05] I didn't realize how close he was.
[01:27:07] But other than that, I never really had a problem with the audio.
[01:27:10] I never had like I was never like really complaining about it.
[01:27:15] Now there is some bad in this game for one.
[01:27:19] Just looking at the cover art on steam or whatever, like, oh, yeah.
[01:27:23] The character designs look bad.
[01:27:25] I mean, I don't know what what's wrong with it exactly.
[01:27:29] They almost feel like.
[01:27:32] It looks like plastic.
[01:27:34] No, it's like, yeah, I was with Gary's Mod vibes from them.
[01:27:39] I was thinking the Sims.
[01:27:41] Oh, yeah, the Sims is.
[01:27:42] Yeah, they look like the Sims, actually.
[01:27:44] They almost look like they were made in some kind of character generator.
[01:27:47] And they all have names and voice lines independent.
[01:27:51] So it'd be like you played as Lisa a lot.
[01:27:53] I really like playing as the old man.
[01:27:55] I don't remember his name.
[01:27:58] It would be like, Henry, you are innocent.
[01:28:02] I'm pretty sure he's like the default character.
[01:28:04] The old man don't change it.
[01:28:06] Yeah, that's how it was for me.
[01:28:07] That was the character it picked for me.
[01:28:09] I don't know if it's different.
[01:28:11] And you can favorite them so like you'll more likely play as that one.
[01:28:14] Yeah, which is neat.
[01:28:15] But I think because I always had Afro girl favorited,
[01:28:19] but I ended up as the redhead a couple of times and I don't think
[01:28:22] I really played anyone else.
[01:28:24] But then again, I wasn't paying attention.
[01:28:26] I was like, I like as soon as the game, as soon as I was out of the game,
[01:28:29] I was like scrolling the phone like I was waiting for the next game to start.
[01:28:33] Which talk about that every time we got out of a game,
[01:28:36] it auto mute you when you go back to the lobby.
[01:28:39] Very annoying. So annoying.
[01:28:41] It's like, oh, I'm going to go back to the game.
[01:28:43] So annoying. So annoying.
[01:28:44] And it also it's like, I don't know if I can't talk until you unmute yourself
[01:28:48] to or something, because there would be points where I go in there
[01:28:51] and I unmute myself and I try talking to you.
[01:28:53] And it's not my my little audio thing is I'm flipping up until you talk.
[01:28:57] Then I'm able to talk.
[01:28:59] So I don't know what weird audio glitch I was having.
[01:29:04] Maybe because I was the lobby host.
[01:29:06] So maybe it's kind of like a toxicity thing.
[01:29:08] But then again, you're only ever in a person's lobby if they invite you.
[01:29:13] Yeah, so that's kind of weird.
[01:29:15] It was so weird.
[01:29:17] But I almost felt bad that I didn't push harder
[01:29:20] because I put out in the group chat, the group trooper, whatever, like,
[01:29:23] anybody who played to see two, because of course,
[01:29:25] I'm going to just throw that out there and nobody replied or said anything to me.
[01:29:29] They're like, well, you know, I'm like, that's fine.
[01:29:31] But dude, if we play this with like the trolls
[01:29:35] and all of them, like this could be so much fun.
[01:29:38] Yeah, but it'd probably be a lot more fun
[01:29:40] if we're able to manipulate each other.
[01:29:43] Yeah, definitely.
[01:29:44] Really got to be so good.
[01:29:46] Because then we could we could all use each other's knowledge of each other
[01:29:50] to like our advantage, like how the trolls know each other really well.
[01:29:54] So it's like they would know if someone was lying.
[01:29:56] But then again, they might be lying.
[01:29:58] So it's like those kinds of things are what make like social games fun.
[01:30:03] The game this game itself is pretty kind of like boring to me.
[01:30:08] But I it's I'm not really the demographic for this.
[01:30:11] We played with a lot of children.
[01:30:13] It was mostly children, a lot of children, surprisingly.
[01:30:18] So that's kind of more the demographic, which their heinous hate children are heinous.
[01:30:22] I keep I'll keep saying that.
[01:30:24] But some of them were pretty funny.
[01:30:26] Like they were like they were just the ones that were in a group
[01:30:29] were just hanging out. They weren't really doing anything.
[01:30:31] And so, you know, they were all in a group all the time.
[01:30:34] And I was the killer.
[01:30:35] And so I was just like watching them like through the walls, like
[01:30:40] listening to them from the other side of the wall.
[01:30:42] Yeah. Yeah.
[01:30:44] And then we I think we lost anyway because I got voted out. So yeah.
[01:30:48] All right.
[01:30:50] Let's see. I think that basically covers all my meat points.
[01:30:53] I didn't really put a lot down because there wasn't
[01:30:55] is not a crazy amount of details like this is a social deduction game,
[01:30:58] just like the among us and the werewolves and stuff like that.
[01:31:02] You did to mention like when you go to the nightmare world,
[01:31:04] there are portals that pop up all over the place that you can go through.
[01:31:08] Another thing is you can continue to do tasks in nightmare land.
[01:31:11] I don't know if you try.
[01:31:12] I was doing that all the I was always doing tasks.
[01:31:14] And yeah, me too.
[01:31:15] It's like I was not just really good at juking. Yeah.
[01:31:19] And I think you're like heart like ever like your breathing
[01:31:21] starts getting heavier or something.
[01:31:22] So it's like if it's the big guy, then you can probably do tasks.
[01:31:25] If it's the fucking wolf, maybe you shouldn't.
[01:31:28] You know, if there's a wolf, yeah, the wolf will fucking get your ass.
[01:31:32] One time I was going through a wall and he got me
[01:31:34] like pulled me out of the wall and got me.
[01:31:36] There was no animation.
[01:31:37] It just instantly yanked me out and put me on the ground. But.
[01:31:42] Yeah, there are the walls to which the monsters can go through,
[01:31:44] but the monsters can break them so that you can't use them in the future.
[01:31:49] Oh, I thought you going through them broke them.
[01:31:52] No, if I don't go through them, but then the monster,
[01:31:54] if he attacks the wall right as you go through it or whatever,
[01:31:56] he like bashes into it like a football slam type deal.
[01:31:59] Oh yeah. And it shatters the wall.
[01:32:02] There's also like monster destructible walls that they can break through
[01:32:06] that can open new paths.
[01:32:08] So the map can kind of change as the game progresses.
[01:32:13] Yeah, we bet.
[01:32:14] It almost feels like.
[01:32:18] I'm almost like left for dead vibes a little bit,
[01:32:20] especially with the final escape, because that is like so much fun,
[01:32:23] like the second your team gets the key and you're like,
[01:32:25] we got to get out of here.
[01:32:26] And you're like the gong is like the bell rings and nightmare mode returns.
[01:32:31] And it's I actually had a lot of fun with this one.
[01:32:35] I know you were having some beef, especially when your team lost
[01:32:38] because you got beat up because you didn't know that you could lose that way.
[01:32:42] You were you sounded really grumpy.
[01:32:44] Yeah, well, I was I was not
[01:32:47] I was having fun in the first like 45 minutes
[01:32:50] and then the last like two and a half hours or whatever,
[01:32:52] however long we played, I was not having fun anymore.
[01:32:55] And so I was like just there.
[01:32:58] I a lot of times I wasn't even playing.
[01:33:00] I was like just standing around like like if I was the monster,
[01:33:03] I was just standing there.
[01:33:04] I wasn't doing anything.
[01:33:06] Every time one point I was I was dead and I was watching you.
[01:33:09] And there's a roll checking machine
[01:33:12] which can be used one time in the whole game.
[01:33:15] And only the person using the machine
[01:33:18] can see what the person in the tester actually is.
[01:33:21] And you just got to trust what they say.
[01:33:23] It's always like guns or skins kill the table.
[01:33:25] You're like gookie.
[01:33:27] And then you got on the table, a scan unit.
[01:33:28] He's like, you're good.
[01:33:30] And then that was it.
[01:33:31] And then they were like, we can only use that once.
[01:33:33] And guns or skins is good.
[01:33:36] Yeah, well, I did it another time.
[01:33:38] And then after I did it, the guy on the table
[01:33:40] and it was pretty close to the end of the game,
[01:33:42] the guy on the table was like, all right, guns or skins is good.
[01:33:46] Do you trust me?
[01:33:47] And I was like, yeah, sure.
[01:33:48] I don't I don't not trust you.
[01:33:50] And then he's like, OK.
[01:33:52] And then he shot another person dead.
[01:33:54] And then I was like, oh, OK.
[01:33:57] I guess we're voting this guy out.
[01:33:58] I was watching that and he did that.
[01:34:00] He's like, I know I can trust you.
[01:34:01] You can trust me. Right.
[01:34:02] And you're like, yeah.
[01:34:03] And then he starts shooting people or whatever.
[01:34:05] He was a human, though, like he was legit, like really.
[01:34:08] He was like, yeah, we can we can make it because it was like to be two.
[01:34:11] At that point, it was you two against two monsters.
[01:34:14] And I'm like talking to Jan because you can't hear me
[01:34:16] when you're in the game.
[01:34:17] And I'm like, I think he's going to pull this off.
[01:34:19] Like he's got the team.
[01:34:20] I think we won in that one.
[01:34:22] Yeah, I think you guys caught the monsters.
[01:34:24] But that's actually really cool when that works out.
[01:34:26] I don't think we have anything more.
[01:34:28] Do you want to take a quick break and hit our final words?
[01:34:31] Yeah, sure.
[01:34:32] And the music plays boom, boom, boom, boom.
[01:34:38] And we're back. Deceit two.
[01:34:43] Now, this game is free to play, crossplay, PC, PlayStation, Xbox.
[01:34:48] I don't know about stinky switch, but you guys can go out and play it.
[01:34:53] I am going to recommend this game.
[01:34:56] And this is not like a, you know, because they actually send
[01:34:59] review keys or whatever.
[01:35:00] This is because I think this game is actually better than Among Us
[01:35:04] because I had more fun playing this than I ever did
[01:35:07] when we were playing among us.
[01:35:08] Yeah, I enjoyed running around a first person, juking monsters,
[01:35:12] chasing people as the monsters, because it's like.
[01:35:16] I don't know, being like just trying to be sneaky and among us
[01:35:19] is not for me as far as like my style of game.
[01:35:23] This is like more action oriented.
[01:35:25] You can you can even just go rogue right at the beginning
[01:35:27] and reveal yourself and then just run around the map
[01:35:30] for the rest of the time being like a loose killer on the run.
[01:35:33] You can do that.
[01:35:35] Like you were like you when we were trying to kill you,
[01:35:38] we knew you were the killer.
[01:35:40] You know, for like two or three more nightmare rounds,
[01:35:43] and we never caught you.
[01:35:45] I think I ended up getting killed by you or something like that.
[01:35:47] Yeah. So it didn't even matter that I knew that you were the killer
[01:35:51] because we still had to basically go through the horror
[01:35:54] of the terror aspect of actually dealing with you.
[01:35:58] When we know you're the monster, it's like the only thing more dangerous
[01:36:00] than an angry rat is an angry rat in the corner, right?
[01:36:04] Or whatever that saying is or even a rat.
[01:36:07] Yeah, corner rat will bite a cat type deal.
[01:36:09] So it's like we knew who the killers were,
[01:36:13] but we still can win the game because you guys outplayed us.
[01:36:18] I think I think the biggest problem in that game
[01:36:20] was that you guys were all bunched together like in a group.
[01:36:23] And if you guys spread out,
[01:36:24] it would have been way harder for me to get away.
[01:36:26] But I was just like, I just had to keep walking in the opposite
[01:36:29] direction of you guys as you guys walked in a circle around the map,
[01:36:33] which the maps were kind of confusing.
[01:36:35] So I'm going to recommend this, Nave.
[01:36:37] What are your final words?
[01:36:41] I mean, the game is free.
[01:36:43] So I mean, there's that.
[01:36:45] But I'm going to go with not recommend like the rare.
[01:36:50] We have different votes. I don't know.
[01:36:51] It's a light not recommend because I think the game.
[01:36:54] Explain yourself.
[01:36:55] I think the game is it would be fun if you the more people you have to play it.
[01:37:00] And I also think even if you only have like one other person,
[01:37:03] the game can be fun for a little bit.
[01:37:05] I think the game is it's definitely more engaging than games like Among Us
[01:37:09] because you have the whole aspect of like being chased and stuff like that.
[01:37:14] So it is literally just kind of a emerging of Dead by Daylight and Among Us.
[01:37:18] And if that sounds good to you, then you might like this game.
[01:37:21] But that's a great description.
[01:37:23] I think that if you are hard corned up into Dead by Daylight,
[01:37:27] I don't think this game is going to pull you away from that.
[01:37:30] Oh, no. Dead by Daylight's too much of its own thing.
[01:37:35] I do think that people that play Among Us might see something in this, though.
[01:37:38] Like I think there's a there's a market in the Among Us
[01:37:41] crowd to get pulled away from by this game.
[01:37:46] All right. And with that, Nave, what are we playing next week?
[01:37:50] I don't know, man.
[01:37:51] Maybe they there was a what was the there was a game on Game Pass
[01:37:55] that just hot wheels to.
[01:37:57] Oh, I hope it's not that.
[01:37:59] Let's think of the.
[01:38:02] Oh, Orcs Must Die three just recently just now dropped on Game Pass.
[01:38:05] What day today as in when we're recording it?
[01:38:08] Yeah, it's down. It's on right now.
[01:38:10] Oh, then we can probably do that, I guess.
[01:38:12] But I have a hot wheels racers to like in the off time,
[01:38:16] just getting ready, grinding out.
[01:38:17] I got the triceratop, a triceratruck again.
[01:38:21] So I'm just going to get fucking body to every race.
[01:38:23] That sounds like fun.
[01:38:24] Well, no, I mean, it seems more balanced, maybe.
[01:38:28] And there's there's less loot boxes as in I haven't seen the loot box yet.
[01:38:33] I think it'd be good for us to go into that one,
[01:38:34] but we can look at Orcs Must Die three is a three or four.
[01:38:38] Three, three. OK.
[01:38:40] Yeah, we can look into that one because I own
[01:38:43] I think one and two on steam.
[01:38:45] I'm not sure. I think that works.
[01:38:47] It's because it's I don't think you have we have to beat that game,
[01:38:50] but I feel like we would play it a lot. Yeah.
[01:38:53] And I feel like it's a game that if we did start playing,
[01:38:56] I might play on my own.
[01:38:58] All right. Yeah, we go with Orcs Must Die three.
[01:39:00] So dear listeners at home,
[01:39:02] why don't you download it too and maybe you can join us.
[01:39:05] And with that, thanks for joining us this week, co-op hunters.
[01:39:09] Maybe next time we can all transform into werewolves together
[01:39:11] and hunt down our friends.
