[00:01:43] But I like so in this game you're just slowly progressing getting more and more like

[00:01:48] Getting more and more territory and just it kind of feels like a civilization or something like that in that way

[00:01:55] But I'm playing this game. I feel I feel like I feel the same way that you feel when you play power wash simulator or hard

[00:02:02] hard-space shipbreaker or whatever

[00:02:04] Where I am just watching the map get more and more like revealed

[00:02:09] I'm doing more of the missions. I'm leveling up higher my numbers are getting bigger my troops are getting more fast

[00:02:17] Game that you did play what was that game that has a million troops in it?

[00:02:41] Def 8 or 10 different like troop combinations you can make and you could put whatever you want in there

[00:02:46] Like make it whatever so it's like I have a witch girl and a cleric and a big shield guy and my prince

[00:02:52] And then this one's gonna be a horse guy and then a big booby-clarer girl

[00:02:56] I want the big brown the big eyebrows girl in there

[00:03:00] And I also want the guy with the axe and it's like you you kind of just move everyone around and at first

[00:03:05] They start it too and then you level them up so that like I have to that for and then everything else has three

[00:03:10] Where like it's so you get these crazy combinations of characters

[00:03:13] But all of these characters have like names and like stories and stuff

[00:03:16] Like as you play you're like collecting these people like Pokemon

[00:03:20] Yeah, and it's like so it's very much like sweet it in in that way

[00:03:23] And then I'm doing like the little drink links like in Yakuza where I'm like

[00:03:34] What's so I was late to the pod today and it was because I was playing unicorn overlord because last time

[00:04:55] From a prison cell

[00:04:56] But then he just like left her in the woods

[00:04:58] And then she just happened to be in the middle of a battlefield

[00:05:01] And then later on like the battlefield that you're do you're raging war in

[00:05:05] And then you go and rescue her and then you go to the end and he's happy he happens to be the general

[00:05:11] That you're supposed to kill and he's like wait is she on your team? I surrender you win and then you're like okay cool

[00:05:18] And then he joins you got my Arthur it's bad time

[00:05:22] Well, it's pretty cool unicorn overlord. I recommend it for people like that is I'm actually really interested in it

[00:05:46] What's really cool about it is that it's all in real time like you pause time and give a bunch of orders and stuff at first

[00:05:59] Tactics yeah, it's really cool once you get like eight different squads and then the battlefields get huge

[00:06:06] So you're like okay these two squads go that way these two squads complement each other

[00:06:09] You go south I see that they're different writers over there

[00:06:11] So we're gonna need some mages or some archers that go that way who has mages and archers

[00:06:15] Oh wait someone I just sent to the east so actually I need you guys to the west like you really do

[00:06:20] And then it also changes the way that you think about making these different

[00:06:23] These different like battalions. I don't know what else to call squads where like if you put a

[00:06:29] The squads average speed influences their actual speed on the thing

[00:06:33] So if you have a squad of like two

[00:06:35] Horses they go really fast and so it's like okay

[00:06:38] I need those guys are going to be the guys who go around and snipe those archers back there

[00:06:43] Because those archers are constantly providing support like you can do assists

[00:06:47] So if you have clerics as your so every squad has like a leader and that leader's passive ability is what they do on the battlefield

[00:06:54] So if you have like a cleric as the leader they can passively heal people or if you have an archer

[00:06:58] They can do range assists and stuff. It's really cool

[00:07:01] And there are enemy there are people who can bear who can destroy barricades faster or like you know

[00:07:05] The horses that go fast move faster

[00:07:07] They're the shield guys that actually like stop you from getting damaged too much by ranged assists and stuff

[00:07:13] It's fucking really cool

[00:07:14] And then like you could do you can go into each person's fight and like

[00:07:19] Like

[00:07:20] What is the game that I'm thinking of where

[00:07:23] Oh man

[00:07:24] There's a game where like you could set priorities like everyone does specifically what you want them to do

[00:07:30] And in the way that you want them to do in the order of priority that you want those skills to go off

[00:07:35] And let it gets real and you can get like really in the weeds with it. It's super fun

[00:07:38] You do that in Final Fantasy 8

[00:07:40] I feel like there was maybe a Final Fantasy or something like that

[00:07:44] Well, Final Fantasy is you can get hardcore in their stats

[00:07:47] But like you control everyone so okay like in this game

[00:07:50] It's like fire emblem where in this game you would oh you know what I'm thinking of

[00:07:54] Uh, I'm not thinking of this game. This is a good example

[00:07:57] But balloons tower defense

[00:08:00] Where like you can make it prior or you can make towers prior to the last person or the most Hp

[00:08:05] The highest health the lowest health time deal or whatever

[00:08:08] Yeah, so you can do that with you so it's like if like my character the prince has a attack

[00:08:13] That if he kills someone at heal some by 50% of the damage

[00:08:16] Well, you can prioritize whoever has the lowest HP

[00:08:19] So it's like if someone has lower than 25% HP use this ability

[00:08:23] Otherwise use this ability if there are more than two people in a row

[00:08:27] And otherwise use this ability if there are two people in a column and then because every it's all AI done

[00:08:33] It's like fire emblem where once the battle starts that they just go at it

[00:08:36] Where uh in this game like you could set it to where all of those skills like interact with each other in super specific ways

[00:08:42] I haven't done too much of that

[00:08:43] I kind of vaguely did it but like I don't know there's also this thing where like you're going around collecting resources and like you can

[00:08:51] each how each town that you liberate or village you can like

[00:08:54] It helped them rebuild and then you can garrison a person there and that person like collects taxes

[00:09:01] So each mission that you do you get more money based on how many people you have garrisoned and talents across the map

[00:09:06] And like they even though they're garrisoned there, they still are in your fights. So there's no reason to not do so it's like

[00:09:12] It's so fucking neat like I don't know what it's just so fucking neat man. This just sounds like a JRPG banner lord though

[00:09:22] I never played the banner lord

[00:09:24] Yeah, but in bannelerd you have to like you have to fight right you have to know how to play the game

[00:09:28] Well no, you can auto most fights if you wanted to or you can just do commanding stuff like once you get late game

[00:09:34] You as an individual soldier is not worth as much as you as a commander

[00:09:38] So you spend a lot more time being like archers on that cliff

[00:09:42] swordsman in the front or see guys like flank and then charge and then reset like you spend more time doing that the natural fighting

[00:09:50] Yeah, and in this game you this game respects your time a lot because

[00:09:54] Right out of the gate they give you like a times five speed like thing

[00:09:58] And you can also just auto battles like you could just skip it instantly and then like see the results

[00:10:03] And it's like fire emblem where it shows you what the predicted outcome is

[00:10:06] But like that doesn't always happen because like sometimes the predicted outcome

[00:10:11] It's because like there's a there's a griffin rider and if you're on the ground

[00:10:15] If you're a ground unit that doesn't have a range attack then you only have a 25% chance to hit them

[00:10:19] And so it's assuming you're not gonna hit them

[00:10:21] But then someone does accidentally hit them and since they hit the griffin rider

[00:10:24] This and that guy was aggrowing everyone now everyone's hitting the cleric in the back and the fucking archer in the back

[00:10:30] Like so it's really fucking interesting and one cool thing to is like they give you a really OP character at the beginning

[00:10:36] Where like so you have this old guy who's basically the princess like guardian

[00:10:41] And he actually and games do this all the time right like I think in a final fantasy nine where you get what's the same

[00:10:47] Steiner who is supposed to be like the guardian of dagger

[00:10:49] But like he's just the same level as her it does less damage than like everyone else because he's supposed to be like a tanky good night guy

[00:10:56] but like

[00:10:57] This dude

[00:10:59] He fucks shit up like he like it's so hard to not just use him and kill everyone on the fucking map

[00:11:04] But then your other characters are getting experienced

[00:11:07] So everyone starts fucking falling behind slowly I don't it's such an interesting game. I'm really glad I bought it

[00:11:13] Because I'm sad too because I'm looking at dragons dogma too and everyone's fucking having so much fun with it after

[00:11:19] There was like a micro transactions fiasco and everyone got pissed off it

[00:11:23] Like everyone who was mad at Star Wars Battleport collection they moved on to

[00:11:28] Dragons dogma too like

[00:11:30] It's sweet baby eight then Star Wars the dragon

[00:11:33] They're gonna go and get bad as something else

[00:11:36] But a dragon dogma two

[00:11:38] Looks so fucking fun and everyone I see that's actually playing it and not just complaining online

[00:11:42] And also also there's denuvo on pc. So people actually are having legit good problems on pc

[00:11:56] People playing on consoles and stuff they seem to be having a fucking baller time and everything that I'm all the videos

[00:12:10] I don't know if you play the first dragon dogma. I have not I do not own it so cool

[00:12:14] Okay, so like you get a party of you and your pa of different ponds

[00:12:18] And then the ponds that you can have can be from online

[00:12:21] So people that you and you will see random ponds running around like a

[00:12:25] Yeah, well, it's like there will be a pond like it's everyone can touch my their ponds

[00:12:29] And there are ponds that look like abominations and then there are ponds that look like there's like

[00:12:34] I saw somebody walking down a walking down a path and then they saw two B and they're like no fucking shit

[00:12:39] That's to be and they ran over there and they're like I gotta recruit you just because they're weaker than the one of the ponds

[00:12:44] They're in their part with like I don't care. I gotta have to be in my fucking party now

[00:12:47] And the really cool thing about the ponds is that

[00:12:50] You're the ponds that you're using if they have done a mission that you are doing right now

[00:12:55] They'll have knowledge of what to do. They'll be like wait, don't go around this corner. There are archers

[00:12:59] There's a secret passage over here. We can go that way

[00:13:02] It's like it's so fucking like there's all kinds of shit and your pond like like I was saying everyone's random ponds running around

[00:13:07] Your pond is also going out into other people's worlds and like being used

[00:13:11] Like if all the people on your friends list like if you get the game

[00:13:14] You'll see my pond in the game and you can use my pond

[00:13:17] And then my pond will have knowledge that you won't have or you

[00:13:21] You with you using my pond further up than me will give my pond knowledge that you know what I mean

[00:13:26] It's so cool

[00:13:29] And that was the first one way back like fucking 14 years ago or something

[00:13:33] Well this game is just like that like fancy star maybe where can you like we call in like duplicates of our own characters

[00:13:40] Or something or like I'm gonna call nave to help me on this mission and it would bring in your character. I think it's like

[00:13:46] Wasn't a new face star we played a game like that

[00:13:49] And so we would have like multiples like because I would have I would have bought you and regular you on my team

[00:17:03] I was thinking one thing I was thinking of when I was playing unicorn overlord is that I was like this is like Octo path

[00:17:09] Octo path traveler like eight of octo path travelers combined it feels like

[00:17:14] Because like you know how everyone just gets a tiny snippet of story and then you just go fuck off for a long time

[00:17:19] And then you go like I need to avenge my father that died on the battlefield

[00:17:23] And you're like yeah, it's cool bro. I'll check in with you in two months

[00:17:26] And then he just like disappears

[00:17:27] It's so funny because it's like you get tiny

[00:17:29] It's like I bet it's the more concise and you know in in in an octo path traveler

[00:17:34] But in unicorn overlord since there's so many characters a character

[00:17:36] But like I need to go get she's like I need to go to the battlefield

[00:17:39] I'm searching for my sister and then you get there you're my sister

[00:17:43] And what are you doing here our family misses you well we must fight and then they that's the whole story

[00:17:49] Really it's like okay, I get it. There's too many people to write

[00:17:53] fucking saran aids about but

[00:17:56] I mean that's kind of how sweet it is too everyone has a story and everyone has like a mission to unlock them

[00:18:01] But then once you complete their story then they're just a dude in the army. It's just another guy

[00:18:07] Yeah, that's a good thing about the the little drinkling things though

[00:18:11] Is that you do you get to randomly see people interact again? I'm like okay, that's cool

[00:18:15] I forgot about big shield guy

[00:18:17] Well the way uh octopath does it is there's like scenes

[00:18:21] I guess they're kind of like skits. I guess from the other the trial series or trails

[00:18:25] Where like you'll just be walking along and I don't know where my samurai will be talking to my medic

[00:18:31] And he'll be like I've I've killed a lot of people on battlefields like this

[00:18:35] And then it's like I saved a lot of lives on battlefields like this

[00:18:39] And then I'm like oh, that's cute and then they go on

[00:18:41] Are we okay? I'm a little worried right now my waves look tiny. Do they look tiny?

[00:18:47] Your waves look normal on my side

[00:18:49] Okay, well it took me like five minutes to get some pastor working anyways

[00:18:53] So I guess it's fine. I was worried that the it doesn't sound like it's the webcam, right?

[00:19:37] And then you get like it's funny because it does static on the TV like near autonoma

[00:19:41] Where it's like glitches out and I'm like that's weird because like it's fantasy setting

[00:19:46] But then you get like actual like white static

[00:19:49] And it's like you get a flashback in the static and I'm like that's pretty cool. I actually like that effect

[00:19:57] Uh besides that uh, I picked up persona 3 reload stop

[00:20:01] Don't play because the dlc is coming out in september and it's free on game pass

[00:20:06] So oh not a don't play it

[00:20:09] I saw this it was just like oh Philip you goober which by the way go you got to go redeem it

[00:20:15] You know how they do the world of tanks things like yeah, you gotta go redeem it

[00:20:18] So you get the dlc for free actually rather than like it's on game pass

[00:20:23] So you gotta go get that shit if you're on xbox boys go get your persona 3 dlc

[00:20:34] Because I was looking at that trying to play the final fantasy power washing crossover

[00:20:48] In probably a year until I played unicorn overlord where I was like this is gotta be what Philip felt like

[00:22:23] But I've been playing persona 3 but I'm probably gonna stop now
