[00:00:00] All right, he's on Lord of the Rings memes, dank memes, countries where you can drink
[00:00:08] the tap water.
[00:00:11] What is a hydro homie?
[00:00:12] Oh, this post has been removed by the moderators.
[00:00:15] What is this?
[00:00:16] What is a hydro homie?
[00:00:18] I don't know.
[00:00:19] Okay, unfriendly countries, according to Russia countries where you can drink tap water.
[00:00:23] Oh, this, I was taking a shit. Yeah, you were right I was taking a shit and flipping through them. I didn't think you guys were gonna show up right away So I I've been flipping through them and just adding them to one big old playlist Which is about 500 songs deep and I'm about halfway through my song. So it's not looking good, but um, I
[00:02:44] it's great. You know, like that shuffle business is serious though, because Apple does the same thing. And I don't remember where, but it was all like the Apple health forms. I found it
[00:02:49] apparently they just grab like the same, I think it's like a hundred songs or tracks
[00:02:55] or whatever from the playlist from wherever the playlist is. They just grab the same chunk
[00:02:59] of songs and they only shuffle those. Anything after that just doesn't get shuffled or brought
[00:03:05] into the mix because it was the most chance of you actually playing through a hundred Spotify has a smart shuffle, but that it's a completely different thing where like every like three or four songs It will algorithmically insert a new song that like it's just it's like people who like Trivium and cake and Gucci Mane also like this song That's what my playlist sound like by the way, ladies and gentlemen, so it skits a phrenic it really is
[00:04:23] Anyways, I think that they so like Spotify
[00:04:25] I don't remember where I saw this it was like a YouTube video of matters. Black parade they do it too, where the songs lead into each other. Oh yeah. He used to do that a lot back in the day, back when I was a young and which we are a not a music podcast. We are a video games podcast. Oh, you're going to be. Oh, God. Did you see? This is not important, but did you say I changed our bio in Twitter for the first time
[00:05:45] and like three years since the beginning of our podcast. And so I've been thinking about that for like five months. Like we have a good we have a good percentage of listeners, probably like 15% of our listeners only really listen to the beginning of the show. And then whenever we start talking about a game, they just fuck off. They're like, I'm not interested in video games.
[00:07:00] But I was talking to Jana about that.
[00:07:02] We were talking about the game we're going to be talking about this week.
[00:07:04] Hell's let loose or he'll he'll he'll he'll let loose.
[00:08:02] I don't remember. I don't know if you noticed but I was drunk
[00:08:09] During that episode when I edited it I was just like the whole time my head was in my hand I was like oh my god. I know I drink weight. Well, so this is the thing is that normally my so my friend Dontre and Jesse
[00:08:15] They came over and we drink we party we go out we go out play pool whatever and so normally they come over on Saturdays
[00:08:22] We record on Sunday. So I just record hung over which is probably worse. I don't know what's better
[00:09:25] for the listed with you. That's it. Yeah. And we did a show with enlisted with you guys a while back. Yeah. We're playing I saw in zone now and now I'm diving into a Hill let
[00:09:31] loose. Yeah. And he'll let loose. I also got from you guys. I don't even think you recommended
[00:09:36] it. I think it will probably did. Yeah. Daniel was specifically talking about. He's like,
[00:09:41] it's actually a good game guys. And you're like, melee where you can do like this pile driver thing with his big spike. So you got to stun the guy and then go in for the big spike to the chest and spike them. Spike them. They're like that guy from a new country from old man. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The cow killer there. Yeah. You said the haircut to a lot of people said
[00:11:01] I look like him when I used to have hair. I used to have a mom. I used been playing a lot of Ragner Rock for VR which is the yes the Viking drumming VR game. They get any more Gojira songs? I think they have no just the one just the one Gojira eats my ass. Yeah getting mad. But man I go that every night I play that I put the heart rate monitor
[00:12:20] heart rate monitor on yeah and I count my calories while I'm playing VR drum it. But I'm 36th place on a few songs on the world leaderboard. So that's pretty good. It's pretty good. Rhythm games, infamous for it's insane try hearts. Yes. Oh, yeah. The discord is they light up. They just go crazy in the discord, like match each other, jump in each other's games
[00:13:42] and they're just ravenous about beating each other on that discord.
[00:13:46] But it's super fun.
[00:13:47] Very cool game. Tell you know it's serious call you try to call you make sure you pick up called called Phillip. I'm like hey make sure names, okay? No shit I went I grabbed a six pack and I just sat on my bed And I actually had some tears come out of my eyes like just thinking about it like I just had music playing over my sound bar just like when I was shit and when you guys are listening to my music and
[00:15:00] I was just listening to like rock
[00:15:02] I just go because you're times in like two seconds, but the Fortnite festival stuff got popular enough that PDP, the guys who made the second generation of Rockman 4 instruments are making new guitars.
[00:16:20] Okay. At least they might be making drums, I don't know,
[00:16:23] but they are definitely at least making guitars,
[00:16:24] which is pretty dope.
[00:16:26] I'll probably All right. So games I've been playing. I've I put Resident Evil two on game pass and I set my pants. I blew my mic is Resident Evil two remake by the way, declared up your listeners. I don't remake Resident Evil two. I have not played. I played three like a year and a half ago remake and I'm like, Oh my
[00:17:42] God, this game is incredible. And he was like, two is even better. And Oh, well, yeah, like I can read it. Like the maps are the kind of, I guess probably the hardest things because they're small, but you open up the map and all every room is labeled, you know, as it is, like in the police station, it'll be like Western office. I don't know, holding room, machine room. And a lot of the symbols are pretty generic.
[00:19:01] So I don't know, like if they're shield on the room with an outline of two golden pistols and I'm like, where are these golden pistols? And then you have to go find like a suit of armor and raise both arms up. So it's doing the YMCA on, you know, another
[00:20:24] suit of armor across the room, mirror matching it before their helmets pop open and there's like they lamppost everything so well exactly what you need to do. Yeah. Like if it was like Luigi's mansion level puzzle solving. Well, I mean, it's more like Luigi's mansion feels like resident evil to puzzle solving. Yeah, I guess they are. I mean, it is a spiritual successor. Yeah. Yeah. But I've been playing that in Japanese and I'm also playing drag quest treasures in Japanese too,
[00:21:43] which I looked at this one. Have you premise it feels like a good Pokemon game, which is kind of funny because all premises like you get a gang of the monsters and they become your you befriend them and then you travel around with them three at a time and then you get like battles with other monsters, but it's all like Action RPG. There's no like turn based stuff. It's like you're fighting alongside the monsters
[00:23:03] But you're not as strong as the monsters are so I don I know just dunking on it. I noticed that. What was I playing? guy in his undershirt. Read it out. Explain it, Philip. The guy went viral, putting a fork in a toaster and did it again, but with two toasters. So chat, two toasters. Yeah, two toasters should cancel each other out.
[00:25:42] Death wish.
[00:27:00] No, that can't yeah, this guy's robbie good story. You can shot. I'm just like holy shit That's all I don't know what I want to say. There was this one there was this one where this
[00:27:03] apartment building he was making a bunch of noise and the second to last season. And so now I'm on the final season. And turns out I never played too much of the last season because that the achievements in that game, on these telltale games, it's always just beat the game. That's how you get all the achievements. But in this last one, there are like collectibles. And like, if you go to different choices, it like cuts off certain achievements and stuff. So I remember when the game first came out,
[00:28:21] I was like, I'm just gonna wait
[00:28:22] until somebody makes a guide for this.
[00:28:24] And then in the meantime, obviously, Telltale died.
[00:28:28] And then I, for them. So stupid. Which we were talking in the chat. I don't know who brought it up, but someone mentioned Wolf Among Us 2 not being a thing. And I'm like, Oh man, that sucks. I'm going to miss not getting Wolf Among Us 2 10 years later. I'm pretty sure Wolf Among Us 2 was announced. Oh, did they buy new telltale? I go look it up.
[00:29:41] Wasn't that a movie? Didn't they make a Like, because I think I don't know. The only one they've done so far is the expanse. And I don't know if they released all that at once or not. Did you start that one yet? No, I'm thinking about starting it whenever I'm done with walking dead, actually, just to see how, because it's cool because it's like the walking dead was like
[00:31:00] when they really got hit their stride.
[00:31:02] And then this is like the end.
[00:31:04] The because I'm like playing the words. I just know where I put the thing I bought persona three and four because they're leaving game pass. So I was like, oh, I might as well I Want to play these eventually something. I'm I yeah, these are the older ones when reload is coming out
[00:32:22] I'm gonna play persona three reload, but I want to get the achievements again. Like why not? Why not? All right. That goes right into our Patreon section. So dear patrons, here's all our ones I want to thank. Berserker this. Kio Kapi, Mr. Quang, insane cracker, Nick and Knight,
[00:33:41] Michael super backer and the intergalactic corner. All right sure. We'll do a demo of core corner We have not pregame this hopefully if we pick a good core question I love I'm looking at the at the list of the my assholes and the fourth the third one down in
[00:37:41] So content warning everything's black the red one now or the one I picked I don't want to see that I don't know if I don't know about this red one which is the one you picked this one I think I linked it because I am I the assholes on his like joke? All right, so be aware. What if we can't trust this post What if this is fiction? Would anybody know something not true on the internet? I know I've never lied That's true. All right nastinate. Would you like to read this? Um, I will try. I was working from home until 1600 o'clock. What's that? Four o'clock. Four o'clock is this. It's got the military time. Do you know this guy? Until 1600 and then engaged in some gaming. My iPhone still displayed the status at work,
[00:39:01] which essentially silences all or silence
[00:39:04] all messages and calls.
[00:39:05] My girlfriend called me twice, which I think is technically fine. But then he gets down to 1%. He wrote. And you go in and you're like, oh, no, like, I didn't know that this is something I needed. Oh, shit. All right, back to the read. Uh, where was I? She emphasized potential emergencies, like if she had only 1% battery left and needed to contact someone urgently, her anger stemmed from wanting to fetch me.
[00:41:44] Her anger stemmed from wanting to get her stuff
[00:43:01] from the store, she just started selling clothes.
[00:43:04] No, she started getting clothes ready.
[00:43:06] Like, she's like, no. I calmly asked her about this inconsistency leading to another heated argument. Despite her shouting, I remain composed, assuming she might have a rough day. After 30 minutes, after about 30 minutes, minute, we got into a car, but she insisted
[00:44:21] on driving.
[00:44:22] Halfway through, she maintained a stony silence, mouth for a second, admittedly a rogerster, giving her volume, refusing to apologize, escalate the tension. She then resorted to blackmail, saying she'd leave me if I didn't apologize. I responded, you mostly with okay, chow.
[00:45:41] You should have did French. Chow is right there, finding the situation.
[00:45:45] Is it not for?
[00:45:46] I don't know.
[00:45:46] I don't know words.
[00:46:43] But then I had to read words like fabricate reiterated reances.
[00:46:50] I was like, oh, like Jason, for Jason, say them for, for example, he'll smash like 10 words into one syllable words.
[00:46:53] You know, I mean, like that.
[00:46:54] No, I mean, yeah.
[00:46:55] I mean, I want to I want to also loop back around.
[00:46:58] The title is verbatim.
[00:47:00] My girlfriend want to break up because I didn't apologize for not to pick up the
[00:47:05] phone.
[00:47:06] And then he writes something on this show. And it's not because we're masters of writing or anything like that. But it's so noticeable because this is like all we have to go on. You know, it's like, all right, we, this is a part of our information. We are detective co-nanding this, like we talked about before. And we are like, we have his writing style. We have the title he chose. And then we have his perspective. That's all the information we have. Oh, and we have,
[00:48:22] if it's like a burner account or not, or what's his main account like.
[00:48:25] Yeah. So do too. Oh, you fucking dick bag. I fucking airplane mode my phone sometimes. Well, no, that's fine. But the do not disturb is like you call them and it instantly goes to voicemail and then you have to call them again for it to actually ring on their end and then they just pick it up first. I was like, why do you bother with the do not disturb? I can tell you it doesn't make sense. But I have so many chats. I have so many business
[00:49:41] emails and it's just off the wall completely Oh my gosh shit And if she if she calls like once I can usually get away with like texting her back But if she calls multiple times then I have to figure out how I'm gonna call her back and get her on the phone Or she fucking loses it. She'll lose it So I kind of see where this guy's coming from this kind of why I picked it
[00:51:01] Well, can she have her phone at work type stuff? Yes, she can have her phone at work
[00:52:01] I don't even know if our phones do voicemails. Not our voicemails set up.
[00:52:03] Anyway, back to this guy.
[00:52:04] So I got something really, something confusing to me
[00:52:07] because right at the very top,
[00:52:08] he's like, oh, we've been together four years,
[00:52:11] living together three, I'm 28, she's 24.
[00:52:13] And then he's like, we've been discussing
[00:52:15] having children about a month ago,
[00:52:16] about two weeks ago, she finished the last
[00:52:17] of her birth control pills.
[00:52:21] What is, where did that come in?
[00:52:23] Like the whole time I was expecting that to come back
[00:52:26] for something.
[00:52:27] Why did he bring left the calling thing? Like, if she called and he missed it,
[00:53:43] and then he checks his phone and he's like, something else. And this could be just an endemic problem where he is constantly not answering her phone and this is like just a fight that they're having all the time and then this is just the bullet moment. And so he's like, am I a nurse? So for not answering my phone this one time? Because she freaked out on me. Well that's probably not why she freaked out on it. Exactly right. Yeah. It is probably an issue that has been going on for a
[00:55:02] while. You should hear the way that my girlfriend Philip talks to me whenever but it was some lore. Yeah. But yeah, so she just made me stop doing that. And so this is what this sounds like. Is that this is her thing, but him being there, trying to help is like more work than him not being there. There are just certain things like that, you know? No, there's certain things like, I think it comes down to you, it's when it's like, so like your significant other wants to start a hobby,
[00:56:22] like podcasting, and you're like,
[00:56:24] maybe you shouldn't podcast.
[00:56:26] It's like, oh yeah, after venting her frustration, she opted to proceed not to go shopping, but instead went to go prepare to sell clothes.
[00:57:40] So that's like, and then she goes to do another thing.
[00:57:43] She's obviously like frustrated.
[00:57:45] She goes to pack up and do something else
[00:57:47] other than think about going shopping with him Here's a quote, if she's shouting at you, remind her that this is unhealthy behavior. It's not conductive to expressing your emotions. Jesus. Like, why don't stop being mad? Why are you so bad? It's like, can you just not yell at me? And be like, obviously she's yelling because she can not communicate in any other way at
[00:59:01] this point.
[00:59:02] Like she has reached the end of her limits with this guy.
[00:59:05] God.
[00:59:06] All right. up with this conclusion and that's and that's and then it explodes because one thing I want to say because in the back of the head it's it started somewhere we had two we had two hypotheses hypothesis about why she wants to do this alone but what if she's not alone what if she wasn't one of their yeah oh you're you're hinting that there could be possibly a third party in this
[01:00:22] situation that's true yeah and maybe she's pretty bad. Then I think that it's probably the girlfriend's. The girlfriend probably has a lot more tea to spill on this guy. So I don't know. I'd say I'd side more with her than him. Yeah. Because we don't know the history of how many times has he done this, right?
[01:01:41] If it's, I don't know.
[01:01:42] Real time's not pick up phone.
[01:01:44] Yeah.
[01:01:45] Like he does he do this every every other night me, I'm in for a night of shit. When she's when you reply with what? Yeah. Yeah. Or I say, I say you rank like a you rang and then she'll know once she sees that text, she'll call me right away and she'll give me shit. Like right away. Just in the
[01:03:04] waiting room with all the patience. It is like's counselor if you want the relationship to work, but it would be much easier and cheaper to just go your separate ways, man. This is fucking terrible. Yeah.
[01:04:20] This is giving me PTSD.
[01:04:21] Oh, OK.
[01:04:24] All right.
[01:04:25] So that's our core corner. They're all pretty game-related. These are like legitimate questions. Oh, right. Yeah. You pick one, Nate. Yeah, you're a resident guest. Where am I looking here? Where are you placing? Oh, it's OK. In the asshole sheet, there's a bottom. There's tabs and one says, Quora next to unused. Oh, OK. Yeah. OK.
[01:05:40] Which Quora, if you're unfamiliar,
[01:05:41] is a like Yahoo answers type site.
[01:05:44] If you are familiar with Yahoo answers,
[01:05:46] where people can just. He really just is a thing of action and this game is an action game and you are the one Controlling what you are the you are the force going through you're parting the Red Sea Right and so it makes you feel even more in that green armor I think that that's probably why his face never shows up even though it kind of shows up a little bit In one game. Oh really?
[01:07:01] I think it's because like I think that's a valid reason another reason I think it is is because it is
[01:08:02] It's just like an unsophable, force of nature. And I feel like he gets even better when you start talking about his love life with basically
[01:08:07] a computer program with, you know, like he is kind of weird, but in his back story, just
[01:08:15] being a child soldier that has just been completely wiped clean and programmed to only kill and
[01:08:21] fight her for humanity and the follow orders pretty much.
[01:08:24] Yeah. I watched it for. Yeah. So you understand, like he is the chosen one, the whole premise is he has some connection to forerunner technology that allows them to be a conduit or whatever. And it's like they already had that in the series with the keys family. Right. Now if it is another name, keys. Yeah.
[01:09:40] Yeah. The keys family who they were, well, it was they had a word for it in universe.
[01:09:45] It's not like predecessors or inheritors.
[01:09:48] I think it's inheritors.
[01:10:45] And all that is happening outside of Master Chief because Master Chief is not ever, he's not a direct player in that, but he interacts with everyone.
[01:10:49] Which actually, like a talking point, like a, like a week and a half ago.
[01:10:53] So this is going to be two and a half weeks old by the time the listeners listening to
[01:10:57] this.
[01:10:58] But it's a perk of recording on Sunday and publishing on Friday.
[01:11:01] So there's this Twitter here that says Pablo Sch're like, Hey, all the clones, the reason they turned
[01:12:21] on the Jedi so fast is that they have neural back to back poses and shit like you can tell a story without seeing the characters face and it is just such a fucking cop out but it is also like youife my name is biker whatever I've listened to that video like twice like the really long one and it's like a four-hour one Yeah, cuz I'd be at work man doing nothing and I'm tired of watching pedophiles get captured It makes you sad, so I gotta watch something else eventually
[01:15:02] Yes, but that is all my problems with the halo TV series and why mass she does not take out his helmet for me
[01:16:06] And it comes to a point where like chief is just like large autistic killing machine. Like he just does what he does really good.
[01:16:09] Yeah.
[01:16:10] And doesn't understand humans.
[01:16:12] Huh.
[01:16:13] Cool.
[01:16:14] Or maybe he does understand him after his interactions with the pilot.
[01:16:16] Dude, the interaction with the pilot are exactly man.
[01:16:19] Those were some seriously powerful moments and like more so than anything that really
[01:16:24] happens in all of five.
[01:16:26] You know what I mean?
[01:16:27] Oh, yeah.
[01:16:28] Like it's a. Oh God. Yeah. Four and five. We don't talk about I played Halo four for like, I don't know Halo five, the one that came out for Xbox one. Yeah. Five five. So I watched catch up videos to play Halo five. And I played it for like three
[01:17:43] hours. And I just wasn't into it. But like See that whole bungled mess of handing that game off and just shuffling around and not doing anything with it is pretty weird. By the way, Phillip, did you hear they're not doing seasons anymore? Yeah, what the hell? What are they just going to do? We're going to wait 10 years. Then Infinite 2 is going to come out. I think they are going to be working on Infinite 2.
[01:19:00] But I think what everyone's spec, what they said was
[01:19:04] they're doing, god damn it, what game did they specifically
[01:19:07] reference? I mean there's a couple of them just like if we're just looking at them like how do you transition from bots to real people in League of Legends? Oh, this is this is from as a Canadian and asking two Americans The the Grand Theft Auto one is life in the USA similar to the game
[01:20:24] This too, oh well you're off to's like, today's the sixth, right?
[01:21:40] And I was like, yeah, wait a minute.
[01:21:43] Did you put the day's date in your birthday?
[01:21:45] And he did.
[01:21:47] And he was like, oh my God, I did. clock or whatever and I'll ask you like hey what's it like the old Pokemon games it'll ask you for the date or whatever when you log in and it's like man yeah I put in the date is like it doesn't support dates past 2003 or something like that. Like oh man. Dude what's great the best part of like whatever the best game to utilize that is the Stanley parable the newest one that's on like a newest consoles.
[01:23:04] At the beginning it'll be like what time is Oh, team 17. Is that it? No, that's the publisher. That's the publisher and the developer listed on steam. Really? Yeah, I don't know. That's actually them because apparently those are the same guys that do like the, uh,
[01:24:21] Bangers, golf with friends, overcooked. I don't think that's right, but oh well. not to talk or you just pushing him a little both you look good both he's he's a regular size kid Rudy that you can't dance all right history with the game nave it was a PlayStation exclusive
[01:25:41] and I just remember people making fun of it't much like it then. So how back did it get now? Right. And I was like, you can only get better. Yeah, I could only get better if it's been out for longer than the stuff that I had issues
[01:27:00] with before might be fixed now. But you know, not didn't way more of it. All right, first off, just little stuff right on the surface. Naive highlighted this while the audio feels bugged. Like there's no music or anything until the match ends. And then it blasts Nazi victory music. Yeah. Oh, it's so funny. But I don't know if you guys have played Dave Defeat, which is an old valve.
[01:28:20] Yeah.
[01:28:21] Like, yeah, it does the same thing in that game.
[01:28:24] And it's so funny because like the gun sound effects are so loud because it's in like the going there are 45 degrees to our left like above me like up on the third floor I can like I'm at Keaton I'm a siege player and I was fucking complaining the whole game to the point where I'm like okay I don't think that they even does I think all of the audio is just local to you and so all the bullets that you're hearing and shit unless a bullet is directly being shot at you all the
[01:29:43] bullets you're hearing I don't believe are real I don't think that that's I do I do believe you do that because we had people in our team that was doing that for us That we're just warning in the enemy territory But I I read just I know we're in the audio right now But this is something that I got a fucking get off my chest while I'm thinking about it That's Pacific time whenever I was all the way back at the front lines I was like I am not running for Kilometers to get to the fucking fight when it takes 45 seconds to come back
[01:31:03] It's so I'm gonna respond and when you'll just listen for footsteps. But then again, I have teammates in the other rooms that are just stomping around. And I'm like, I just hear everything. I just hear all those up. But next thing I know, like I got like four kills in a row. And it's like the first time I ever got kills. And I'm like, Oh my God, I'm a killing machine. I have become death or whatever. And like I killed like four dudes and then just walked outside and got into a killed by a guy I didn't see because I just shot.
[01:32:22] I shot everyone in the back, by the way.
[01:32:23] I was just like, I was a camping call when they walked in.
[01:32:27] I would just shoot them.
[01:33:21] only the map that we were on, because Phillips talking about hearing footsteps
[01:33:23] on the bridge, we were in the snow map.
[01:33:25] So you would still hear crunching, but I digress.
[01:33:29] Like, and then I would be in a barn.
[01:33:31] One time I was in a barn sniping,
[01:33:33] and someone was walking, like standing underneath me,
[01:33:36] heard me shoot, and then immediately ran up
[01:33:38] and shot me in the back,
[01:33:39] because I was hiding around the ledge, like reloading,
[01:33:41] and I got shot in like the back,
[01:33:43] and I was like, there's no way I got shot through the wall.
[01:33:46] So someone had to have been, which was our team. Me, yes, I didn't, for the first hour and a half, I did not know that I was the guy supposed to be putting those down. Yeah, because I was a commander or whatever. If you start, if you start a squad, you're automatically put as commander. That's, I learned that today.
[01:35:01] And the guy's like, put down the fucking spawn points.
[01:35:03] I'm like, what is he talking about?
[01:35:04] So I just kept running.
[01:35:05] He's like, use your watch, you fucking noove.
[01:35:08] That was the thing. Unless the server says new players welcome like they fucking hate playing with new players the this community We do a mess with quick play. Yeah, I had both times. Oh Or that one time which brings me to like On this PC game pass version. I didn't see a quick play That's weird. What do you see that? Yeah?
[01:37:41] For on because you know your video your we're on Xbox. No, but I wasn't really stuck at the screen too often I mean, you're when I would die. I would immediately yeah right to Twitter. Yeah, like after like the first hour I was like man like I will die immediately
[01:38:43] that like there was another part where we were at a, we were at a huge killing field where we're like, no one can make it across this hill. And I'm like, nay, you not go over
[01:38:47] the hill. And they's like smokes out and he threw a smoker.
[01:38:50] And there's the thing like five other dudes. Yeah. Also through smokes. They just covered
[01:38:55] the field and then we just we charged it. We charge in the middle of the city. Yeah.
[01:39:01] That was the best moment. It was the it was the detail was incredible. I thought that looked really, really well done. We had a great moment where we had just taken over a point. We had just captured a little, like little shack city thing, a little village. And we were about to advance the next one. All
[01:40:21] our people were grouped up. And then we just hear the, like we just took. Yeah. So we got kind of lucky. We're just cool. Because like when you have like the what is the primary guy? Because he's the commander. Yeah. Because you have the squads which have a leader. They have officers. Yeah. And then there's the commander and we didn't know that the commander's running around doing
[01:41:41] shit. And do like about how we saw him. We were like, Oh shit, it's him. That's our
[01:41:46] guy. So we're just spawning in a wave. We all went out there and get gunned down because they are all looking in our direction. Like God, that was the worst. Like we needed some organization. Yeah. That's another big thing about this game is if you don't like talk like I'm not a big talker on comms with random people and I don't like that whole thing.
[01:43:00] But this game is like a must.
[01:43:02] You must communicate with either your squad or listen to commands coming down and doing your tanks, like cross vision and your radio distance, all like generate like how, what you see, what enemies you see and stuff like that, which is really cool. So it's like that is never a problem. But in this game, I don't, you cannot see nothing. Like you don't see nothing. Now you can ping enemies. I don't know who or how that was happening,
[01:44:23] but every now and then I'd see a helmet.
[01:44:24] I'd be like, something.
[01:44:26] And so like, how am I looking over there? guys must have been lying there for like for 50 seconds just waiting I was like sorry man I'm not a medic Oh my favorite thing yeah it's like you lay their way for a medic and if you do decide to respawn normally it says hold X to give up yeah just let it go which I played as the medic and I had a lot of fun just picking people up like
[01:45:44] that was like very engaging gameplay for like that so I had this massive frame drop like FPS drop I threw my grenade and then when I come back like my screen's frozen for like
[01:47:02] two three seconds the guys like move move like the same guy was like telling here let me see this one I hope my computers music is about start blasting start blasting I don't know what this is alright names laying on the ground he's bleeding out and going on there. You have to spawn first and then open your map and see what's going on. That kind of bothered me a bit. Oh God. Dave shared a good clip. Yes. So this is good. This is good for the movements. A second way into move. Okay. Yeah. So go watch that one. Nate. So basically the clue is just nave spending 40 seconds trying to jump a fence in multiple locations.
[01:49:43] I don't know why you can jump this game is slow and the other thing is like It doesn't give you a lot of indication either as far as like oh, how many shots do I have left?
[01:51:04] Yeah, you like no, you don't have a counter for that. You have to like turn your UI on
[01:52:01] I don't know. I don't know.
[01:52:02] I don't know.
[01:52:03] The serious number.
[01:52:04] It doesn't exist.
[01:52:05] So it's like you don't know how many shots you have left, which a lot of your guns are
[01:52:07] like single action or like, I don't know, like, I don't know, like, I didn't use a machine
[01:52:13] gun like Nate was using.
[01:52:14] So it didn't really matter how many shots I had.
[01:52:16] But it is annoying where there is a lot of HUD, a lot of times telling you what to go,
[01:52:23] what you need to do.
[01:52:24] You have an icon for every player, oh I'm out of ammo. And I'm like reloading and I'm like, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. I'm just trying to push it in there. I don't know what he's doing. Why is it dangerous? I don't care about realistic man. It makes me so mad when you pull your grenades out. You go, oh, I mean, the good thing is so low.
[01:53:40] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:53:42] What's funny though is when you do it with the smoke grenades, there's always a...
[01:53:45] Every time you pull the bottom up and I'm like oh look And I wonder if he's like come with me soldier like Because I'm too busy bitching about the spot times and party chat it kind of feels like Sorrow's battlefront whenever you see like a Jedi go by Or a hero unit and you're like, yeah, let's go
[01:55:03] Following them as they're like chopping people in half just just going there and shoot him and I'm like I'm gonna throw a grenade and I thought I threw a grenade I threw a smoke grenade This is an hour into the fight so Philip this whole time is like I've got grenades and every time I'm like god I wish people would throw smokes with me so that we could fucking get and then Philip is
[01:56:20] like I'll avenge you and he threw a there's a notification of that everyone's like yeah
[01:57:42] He's not a team player because the people who are playing this game are pretty serious And I'm like this is disgusting. Yeah Would you know remind me to put the put give you that clip of me? The pregnant pause in there too because I'm finishing my sentence and at in the middle of my sentence It just says you are banned for one hour for cheating and I'm like processing it
[02:00:20] So bad I don't think I got she I think that the thing I wanted to say was that moment that I had in the field throwing the smoker nades everyone and then everyone else started throwing smokes and then we all I like the maps and the buildings look pretty nice. I played a lot of maps where it was very drab and wet and dark and dank, you know? And I like that. That really put me into it a lot more, kind of like saving private Ryan. That kind of feel and look to it. So I kind of like that look over something like
[02:01:42] Osanzo where it's like very vibrant, colorful.
[02:01:45] Well, I mean, halfway up a little break and then we can hit the final words unless you have anything left. Last call. The music plays boom, boom, boom, boom. And we're back. Hill, let loose. So this game, I'll take these first final words.
[02:04:03] own outpost and spawn points coming up with your own battle plans. They give you a map with coordinates. So you can even like say, Hey, attack from over here, attack from over
[02:04:07] here, go to this spot. I think as an officer, you can even ping the map inside certain groups
[02:04:13] or whatever. Like, I assume there's probably groups out there like discord's where people
[02:04:18] take this more seriously. And you might look into that dear listener if you want an experience
[02:04:24] like that. But I am an arcade a halo where communication, there's chatter all the time on the radio, all the time there's chatter telling you what to do. You've got to follow your squad, you've got to do your stuff. Like it's different. It's a completely different monster than Isonzo or like,
[02:05:44] like those arcade shooters and stuff like that. So I just have the base gun and you upgrade those later Um, I literally couldn't shoot anything Ever Um, so I don't think I got one I I think I got one kill today Um, but like for someone who loves big team games with lots of social comms and working as a team
[02:07:04] Then you'll love this game
[02:08:01] for a long time. Yeah, a lot of running.
[02:08:02] Yeah, if you like running, if you like,
[02:08:06] if you like, what is it?
[02:08:07] Daisy.
[02:08:08] Oh.
[02:08:09] But instead of fighting the zombies,
[02:08:11] there's no zombies, you're just getting shot
[02:08:13] from across the map, which is the Daisy experience as well.
[02:08:16] You got something here, at least you respawn
[02:08:19] in this game.
[02:08:20] I don't know, the game is very gritty.
[02:08:22] I bet if maybe we jumped into the game chat
[02:08:27] and messed around with it, I wonder if we would feel in three minutes. One, we had less than one minute, and we captured it right at the last second. Which means we spent 30 minutes on that one. Yeah, so it's like, that was an incredibly long match. So it could be up to worst case scenario, two and a half hours. We legit spent over two hours in that one match. Because if you lose, it's because it took 30 minutes
[02:09:42] to fight over that last part, right?
[02:09:46] So every match is guaranteed though that is like maybe four percent of my lives I got a kill and the other the other ninety six percent was me spawning and dying instantly or spawning of running for about
[02:11:00] five minutes and then dying instantly to something I didn man, so I talked to specifically, I really want to Dave Jackson on. So I'm like, man, we got to get him back on. But he's like, I can only do it in February. We had to talk about this after the pod. But he's like, I can only do it February.
[02:12:21] I was like, OK, I got to figure something out then.
[02:12:25] Because I want to have another guest on having guests on this fun.
