Episode 125: Payday 3 - Missed Connections

[00:00:24] Dude, so this lady that's on my route, she comes out every now and then. She's like about my age, maybe a little younger.

[00:00:31] She has a kid. She's always walking out with her kid and getting her mail. And she came out today, and she was like, hey, so we were recording this on Tuesday, and there was a holiday yesterday.

[00:00:41] So I had Sunday and Monday off. She's like, hey, you don't work on Sunday, do you? I was like, no. You know, I was like, no.

[00:00:48] She's like, does anyone work on Sunday? And I explained to her, you know, like in some places, especially here in Oklahoma City, people, some assistants, like what is it, ground level jobs or what, entry level jobs?

[00:01:00] Entry level. Yeah. Entry level jobs, positions for mail carriers, the assistants, they help people, they help people's routes and sometimes carry Amazon packages to offset the workload.

[00:01:12] That way Monday isn't terrible or like the days after holidays, you know, people aren't hanging themselves because it's so bad. Because it's going to be bad anyways.

[00:01:19] And she's like, okay, so you weren't working on Sunday? Well, we figured it wasn't you because we have all of these cameras in the house.

[00:01:26] And I was like, oh, fuck what happened? And so she's like, there was a person who pulled up in a mail truck and he got out and he had a package in his hand and he was like looking around like, oh, I think I'm in the wrong place.

[00:01:37] And then he gets back in his truck and then he puts something in our mailbox. And I was like, oh, he didn't deliver the package, she's going to complain.

[00:01:44] And she's like, she's like, no, no, no. He put something in the mailbox and it was a note. And so I was pretty sure it wasn't you because you look very distinct. I look like Hispanic Jesus essentially whenever I'm bronzed by the sun from working outdoors all day.

[00:02:02] And the note though, she was describing it to me that how do I describe this? It was like, I know we locked eyes yesterday. Oh, it was a misconnections. Was it? What does that mean?

[00:02:21] So there's a whole, this used to be an old thing like newspapers where they just needed to fill space so you could buy like an ad slot for misconnections.

[00:02:30] Or be like, hey, I lost my Walkman on the subway. If anyone sees it, please contact me or it could be like, I saw you buying grapefruits at the shopping mart.

[00:02:40] I think that we can be good together. I'm an attractive male mid 30s or something like that. Please reach out. You were wearing a Hello Kitty hoodie or something like that. Like you would put some weird spin on it.

[00:02:52] And most of them, these are real creepy. One of my favorite podcasts free to a good home. They read just Craigslist articles and stuff like that. And they have a section for misconnections. So they will just read basically what I think you're describing.

[00:03:05] Dude, I think I can't believe you've heard of this. This is exactly what it was. So this whole time I'm sitting here listening to her like at first I'm like, oh, he didn't deliver packages.

[00:03:14] She's complaining and then I'm like, oh, he's leaving her a notice because he doesn't want to deliver the package. And she's like, no, it's a literal note. It says, I know we locked eyes yesterday.

[00:03:23] I'm married as well. If you're interested, leave the flag up. I'm going to be working here tomorrow. So I'll be watching. Oh my God. Whoa. You know what I mean? That's exactly what I did.

[00:03:35] Listener Phillip like visibly like he turned red and he put his face in his hand with a high face bombed. Dude, it's I was so embarrassed. Like I didn't know what to do. Like I was just I had no words.

[00:03:48] I couldn't I just like, okay. And she's like, do you want me to go get the note? And I'm like, no, I don't want to see the note. I don't want to know anything.

[00:03:55] Is she complaining or is this just like a funny thing that she was trying to see? Like, do you know who this guy is? Because I am interested. She definitely wanted to know, like if I could figure out who he was.

[00:04:06] And I was like, if you feel unsafe, I think you need to go talk to the there's a post office.

[00:04:11] I told her where it was. I was like, this is the one that services you guys and then you should go talk to them probably in the morning when there's not as much to do.

[00:04:18] And she's just like, okay, you know, but I I've never that it's so shocking. This literally happened to me maybe three hours ago.

[00:04:28] Like so I'm still trying to process it. But I just don't I don't I don't have the gumption, I guess like how do you do that?

[00:04:35] He's like, I'm married to I'm like, yo, you know, here's the question though is this is probably like oftentimes this isn't like the first time somebody's doing something like people are creatures. Yeah, right.

[00:04:47] So how many notes has he put in mailboxes? Is he just like plastering the neighborhood waiting for someone to reply?

[00:04:53] If anything though, what if this is like the next step? What if he's setting up like a blackmail ring where he's just trying to entrap people to get in contact and be like, all right, I'm going to your spouse that you're trying to hook up with me.

[00:05:05] If you don't pay me this stuff. I don't know that might be a step too far.

[00:05:09] Yeah, maybe so she said that because she had cameras. She's like he came by twice the first time he didn't do anything like he got out and kind of looked around and then left.

[00:05:17] And then the second time was when he just he got out again, looked around and then put something in the mailbox. And I'm like, that's so insane. Like leave the fucking mail flag up like that this is what is this like the 1930s? It's like a dead drop.

[00:05:32] Yeah, for sure, man. It's like the fucking flare, the signal flare, man. Like what is this is an assistant because only assistants are out there on on days that we don't work right.

[00:05:43] So this is an entry level guide. Like did he start working at this place in order to like porno style like the plumber, you know, his next job is that where he's just going to hop around jobs till he can find some milfs.

[00:05:56] Is that what he wants? Obviously he wanted that milk. Yeah. I don't know. This is very strange. This is a strange socials like thing happening that I just don't understand.

[00:06:09] I don't know the moves. I can barely look at people in the eyes when I'm talking to them like this guy is like leaving dead drop notes and it's like falling on dude. Like you find the notes of the cover. Yeah, dude. Yeah. I fucking hate this.

[00:06:27] We are a video games podcast and we're going to be talking about payday three but before we get there let's check in with one game. So our names are in our names. Our notes are a little sparse naive.

[00:06:39] Yeah, you know what you've been playing or do I need to jump in? I know what I've been playing. I've only been playing. I played a little bit of cyberpunk. I'm at the DLC now and it's pretty good. I haven't played too much.

[00:06:49] I've been in a mood again this week so I'm like not playing anything anymore especially since I beat four games in like two days and so I was like a little burned out. But I did re-beat Catherine for like the 35th time.

[00:07:04] Oh my God, jerk because like I saw you playing Catherine for like 19 hours straight. I don't know if you just left your system on or what.

[00:07:11] If anyone's sending you messages and I'm like my message is to do like five times and he has never played. I see him playing Catherine.

[00:07:16] Yeah, I did fall asleep with the game on so I think I did probably leave it on for a little while because I've been taking you know at my after work naps.

[00:07:24] I don't know what's going on. These energy drinks just aren't doing it anymore. Like my tolerance is getting too high. I need two. I need three. Well did you end up with Catherine or Catherine? Catherine actually ended up with anyone. I actually got the bad ending.

[00:07:38] That was a good thing. No, I proposed to Catherine and then she was like no thank you. Oh so sad.

[00:07:49] And then he runs outside because this is one I never got before. So it was crazy. I got an achievement for in this game in the first time in like six or seven years. But like he runs outside and gets hit by a car like Stanley parable.

[00:08:02] But then he comes back in. He's like oh God I got hit by a car 911. Oh no, I thought he just died. Just that's it. I was like whoa. But then no, it was fun.

[00:08:12] But yeah, Catherine is great. I really am holding out for Catherine full body to come out on Xbox like Atlas has been so buddy buddy with Microsoft for a while like with the persona games coming to game pass and everything.

[00:08:25] It just seems so weird that this game still isn't on the Xbox. I think maybe they assume because it's backwards compatible they don't need to do that but that's bullshit because the full body gives you a whole another character with like a bunch of side content and stuff.

[00:08:37] So I already is it on it's on switch for sure. Yeah. Yeah, that's on PlayStation like it's because it's being exclusive thing just for the switch release. I'm pretty sure it's on PlayStation.

[00:08:49] But that's where I had it already. I already bought it on switch and then Madeleine took the switch whenever she moved out and then I just had the game for like six months and then I just gave it to somebody else with a switch because I was like I'm never going to get a switch again and then maybe two months later I bought a switch.

[00:09:06] It's hard not to end up with a switch. Like they're so cheap and they do what they do. And I got a fucking nice LED one or whatever. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That's like bigger screen and the darker blacks.

[00:09:22] Yeah, I had to play Mario Kart with everybody because apparently that's what everyone's playing right now. Mario Kart and Star Wars Valley. I don't know. I don't think I'm playing it. Oh, I bought just shapes and beats. Which is pretty cool. Just shapes and beats?

[00:09:37] Yeah, it's really cool. It's like a bullet hell game. It's literally like so I was playing. Geometry Wars type thing? Yes, kind of. Except it's like Geometry Wars but level based. So like you just go through the love.

[00:09:51] It's like there's a each level is its own song and you just beat the level in like a bunch of shits happening and it's always in the same pattern. You know, so it's never it's not like Geometry Wars where everything's fucking spawning randomly and beating your ass.

[00:10:06] So and you're not fighting back either. You're literally just dodging. You're moving around the screen, but it's really visually pleasing. It is so fucking hard though. It is so fucking hard. Those rhythm games usually are especially the higher levels. Yeah, I can't even get past the first level.

[00:10:22] Well, I mean, I probably could have if I like sat and did it, but like I died like five times. And I was like, oh, kiddo. Well, for my games have been playing then I am going to go run to my my backlog busting as well.

[00:10:35] First, I'm still playing Pokemon Clover and listening back to last episode. I'm feeling a little ganged up on. Yeah, I'm feeling ganged up on. I want to push back. I think this game is funny and club and you guys are judging me.

[00:10:49] Maybe I don't think it would have been as bad if one of the starter Pokemon wasn't a fucking jihadist. Okay, that was bad. But like there's other jokes where it's like you go into a cave and I bumped into a character named.

[00:11:05] I forgot what his little like signifier like his little trainer tag is where it's usually like bug catchers even type thing. Yeah, it was Chris and it was Chris Chan. And he throws out a Sonic type Pokemon that's called like mudhog or something like that.

[00:11:21] And it's just Sonic covered in quote unquote mud. I know that was it. That was his Pokemon. Yeah. So he had a whole like Pokemon and character through the game. And I assume there's more people that I just probably don't recognize the names. But the game is good.

[00:11:36] I'm at a I'm at it like a weird soft, not soft locked but like almost their point where the game has like a mystery trade option or wonder trade where you can just trade whatever Pokemon and get something new. And I'm like, why would I not do that?

[00:11:48] So I can see the most Pokemon and not have to worry about catching all different Pokemon in each realm. Well, the problem is is I'm hitting the level cap where the gym leaders are like at the level cap too.

[00:12:00] So it's like, Hey, if you want Pokemon, like if your Pokemon get over level 41 or whatever, they're going to start not listening to you if they're traded Pokemon.

[00:12:09] Well, all my team except for my starter are traded Pokemon just these random guys that I got and trade Pokemon also have that 50% XP buff so they level up faster.

[00:12:20] So all my Pokemon have reached the level cap where I'll go into the gym leader and fighting them in 75% of the time they just loaf around or whatever, or they won't attack. And I'm like, this guy's not even hard. It's Snoop Dogg.

[00:12:32] He's the grass leader by the way is Snoop Dogg. But I don't get it. Oh yeah, you don't get it. But I can't beat him because even though we're like I'm like the same bull as everyone.

[00:12:47] All my Pokemon are not listening to me the second I go into battle and I'm just like God, I now it's like do I need to retrain up a team of just Pokemon I caught just to be this one gym. I don't know. It's annoying. I hate it.

[00:13:01] And it's definitely like put a damper on the game. The other one I've been playing is Banjo Pilot, which is a Game Boy advanced hack of like Diddy Kong pilot or something like that.

[00:13:13] Because I was like, I didn't know there's a banjo game on the, the what's it called the game. Oh, at least I think it's a hack. It might be a real game.

[00:13:23] I'll have to look it up, but it's really weird because it's a kart racer where you fly planes. So it's like the terrain doesn't seem to matter when you fly over it. Weird game. But pretty good. Then next up is Metroid Dread.

[00:13:39] I've been putting a couple hours of this and I think I'm going to retire this game. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Dread dude, I want the game to be good. I've played a lot of Metro in use in my life. I've played the Hollow Knights. I've played the Oris.

[00:13:55] I've played the, what was the nightmare protocol or whatever that was? Shadow complex. Shadow complex. Thank God you know what I was talking about. That's so fucking weird dude. Like I don't know how we do that. Yeah.

[00:14:08] So I've played a lot of these games, but I'm playing this one and it is just not enjoyable or it doesn't feel fun to play.

[00:14:14] Maybe that's part of the dread is that like I look at the map and I'm like, oh, I have to Dark Souls run across the map because of course there's no teleporting or anything like that. And I'm like, I just don't feel like doing it.

[00:14:27] I just want to, I don't know. I want to fight bosses. I won't switch this game was just a cuphead. Like, because the combat almost feels like cut. Like you can take way more hits. The game feels like it's would you like baby gloves?

[00:14:40] Would you like the game if you fast traveled every 25 meters like in Starfield? Would you like it better?

[00:14:47] Maybe if I could just fast travel between save points because the stinky switch has a monster loading screens where they do the Mass Effect elevator though and it just zooms in on like Samus' mask and you just see like the light beams going up and I'm like, that looks pretty cool.

[00:15:03] But then, you know, I'm still there two minutes later and I'm like, why are we still in the low screen? But the game, the game design looks good. Like the visuals very well done audio very good, but I'm just not having a good time playing it.

[00:15:17] So I think I'm just going to drop it.

[00:15:19] Man, that just makes me think about Cyberpunk because after playing Starfield and going back to Cyberpunk, the jarring transition of having these fucking tiny little cut scenes when I was playing Starfield having cut scenes all the time that were like,

[00:15:32] 45 seconds to a minute long and Cyberpunk just being so insanely detailed and beautiful and having like four second cut scenes maybe Max and I'm just like, it's incredible. Like how awesome Cyberpunk is.

[00:15:47] But I just keep, I don't know, I've just been bouncing off of it mostly because I'm dying a lot. And I saw I'm just like, okay, every time I die, I'm like, I guess I go watch a YouTube video.

[00:15:58] I just feel so demoralized when I lose that video. You know, you can lower the difficulty. I'm like normal. But see, this is the thing. So the problem with Cyberpunk a little bit.

[00:16:09] The problem with Cyberpunk is like it's one of those games where sometimes you can't really tell you're taking damage and then suddenly you have like 10 HP and then you get sniped and I'm just like fuck.

[00:16:19] So it's a game where you have to like really pay attention to your health because sometimes the enemies do so much damage that the because you will get a your screen will turn all red when you get to like 30% health like pretty low.

[00:16:31] But there are some enemies that will just one shot you like when you're at that state. And so it's like, you know, in Dark Souls, you got to pay attention to your health bar and shit. So maybe I do that some more also.

[00:16:41] So this is a problem too, because I told you I'm being a cyber cyber wizard again, because it's all it's all different now. So I might as well do it again since it was so fun the first time.

[00:16:50] And I think I'm going to unspec and become a Katana man because people were talking about you can deflect bullets now and shit with Katana's and stuff. And I'm like, shadow one. That's pretty cool. So I was thinking about doing that.

[00:17:02] But so the cyber wizard guy like version, you can you can overclock your your your CPU or whatever in your fucking brain. And then it lets you use your health rather than RAM. So you could just fucking hit everybody with some shit.

[00:17:21] But like, it kills you so fast and then you just have to heal really fast. But sometimes you literally just take a stray pistol shot to the fucking elbow and then you die because you got too greedy with your with your overheats and stuff.

[00:17:36] But it is so cool. And I don't know, I'm just having a lot of fun.

[00:17:40] I'm really glad I went back and made a new character because I'm really getting into like the systems and stuff rather than just starting again and then putting all of my points in my maxed out character into the thing and not really understanding what everything's doing all at once.

[00:17:55] Because that's what a lot of people in our group chat were doing. So they were like, oh fuck, no, I don't have time to do it. I'm like, I don't know, man. It's all different brother. It's a whole new game.

[00:18:05] I know I saw a Facebook video where someone was highlighting at the end of the trailer. I think it is for the Phantom Liberty or whatever it's called. The one of the characters says the game is fixed and they're like, they fixed the game.

[00:18:20] This is just a call out that cyberpunk has been as a game. Oh, and another thing too, because you could be butt ass naked in this game. And so I'm playing female V and I made myself butt ass naked for a little bit.

[00:18:32] And then I forgot and my friends came over to drink and I pause the game to my naked ass character. They're like, oh, it was so funny. Not in front of my McDonald's double quarter pounder. Yeah, I know. Close your eyes Molly. You're too young for this.

[00:18:50] You sweet innocent girl. Yeah, but I'm going to take dread back to the library. I didn't for anything. So I don't feel bad about dropping it. I'm glad I'm buying it though. I would be very disappointed if I bought it.

[00:19:03] What do you think you're going to bring out next? I kind of want to play Pikmin. Have you played that Pikmin for yet? No, so for the we're just talking about switch. The next game I got because it's my birthday in two days. I'm turning 30.

[00:19:14] My family always send me video games for my birthday and like great. Give me switch games because that's the only place physical media. I actually use anymore by my trade. No, but do not buy. But they send me tactics ogre and on recommendation from Aaron from

[00:19:37] Super Pod Saga. I got Shin Megami, Tenzin, Ten Shin, whatever that is. Shin Megami, Tenze. Yeah, that's what I said. Yeah, I got the fifth one. And I'm probably going to start ogre's tactics or tactics ogre's ogre battle, whichever it's like tactics over the one or something.

[00:20:00] It's the remake of the old game. Yeah, but it's supposed to have like all new voice acting and updated graphics and everything that the original like super Nintendo game didn't have. So I'm thinking I'm going to start with that. We feel like it'd be more natural.

[00:20:14] Dude, Shin Megami, Tenze is fucking hard. Is it gritty? Yeah, dude. I remember I got that game on the 3D. I got I think I think the one before that on the 3DS and my fucking God. I did. I was like in a guide.

[00:20:30] I was using a guide the whole time once I gave up and I still was getting fucking wopped all the time. I was like, I don't you will get killed by regular dudes. Like it is like what do you do in this game?

[00:20:43] You're living in rat killed me. There is no mobs you could just take lightly like you you will get fucking games sometimes. I'm like that makes me think of, you know, Dark Souls, of course, but by the

[00:20:54] time you're done with Dark Souls, you are taking many games lightly. Yeah. Well, it's also like because you haven't played any of the personas yet. Have you? I've started them, but I've never like I started and gone like maybe two hours in to three.

[00:21:09] I'm like, it's good and remade. And I'm like, this is the third JRPG. I've started this year that's getting a remake. Like why does this keep happening? So you you vaguely know what persona plays like imagine Shin Megami Tensei, but more hardcore and less fun.

[00:21:23] That is the descriptor. But I mean, so if you're going to play one or the other, I would play Shin Megami Tensei first. If you're going to if you're going to because it's going to be harder

[00:21:34] to go from persona to Shin Megami than to go from Shin Megami to persona because persona has all personas like half, you know, school life dating sim kind of thing. And I don't I think Shin Megami Tensei is literally just the dungeon crawling.

[00:21:48] Yeah, it seems like going to a hell dungeon or something like that. I'm like, I'll say this one after the pretty anime ogre game or whatever. Yeah, I want to play that ogre game too. So you got to tell me that one goes to. All right.

[00:22:02] So that covers the game and playing now my backlog buster. Dear listeners, I'm trying to get a hundred games done this year. And I think it is even more within my reach than it was last week because I've completed a couple of games.

[00:22:12] Trek to Yome, which I think I called path to Yomi in the last episode, which is not the actual name. Yeah, but it's Trek to Yomi. It's so wild because when I listen to podcasts, I'm like, what the fuck you got that wrong? You fucking idiot.

[00:22:25] And then I'm like here in the moment and I heard you say it. And then I repeated it back to you as in a joke form. But like I was not joking because you said it wrong. I was joking because I legit just forgot that it was called

[00:22:35] Trek to Yomi. Yeah, I do. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I cannot think of video game names. They just none of the names stick to my brain. And so half of our episode, I feel like it's just me struggling

[00:22:46] to name a game and just naming it poorly. And you will understand what I'm saying. Yeah. But then like the audience is like, what the fuck is going on? Like. But Trek to Yomi, I finished it. It's good. It's hard. Yeah, I gave up.

[00:23:01] It got hard, especially the. But the problem is like it does a weird scaling of your, your God of warring your way out of hell. And so once you get out of hell, the game gets easier, which is kind of strange, but I guess makes sense.

[00:23:15] Once you're fighting regular dude again and you just go on like a samurai brand page with all the skills that you've learned up to this point. But like once you start finding the bosses that have multiple phases, I'm like, I don't know if I'm going to be this,

[00:23:30] but I struggled through and I beat it. I chose love in the end because you get to choose like three different paths, like your samurai duty, love or. I don't remember the other one. Like samurai duty. Oh, there's duty, love and revenge. All right.

[00:23:53] But yeah, like duty, Trek to Romeo's get your track. Yeah. I'll play it next game. This one, I didn't know what it was. McPixel three, but it looks like a bad flash game. It is a bad flash game.

[00:24:10] I thought this game was going to be an easy heartbeat, but then I went on a completionist run on it and it is like a WarioWare flash game. It is it looks like the stupidest piece of trash as far as like game.

[00:24:25] Like I don't even have to describe how trashy this game is, but yeah, playing it is so funny. Like I just I thought it was a really funny game. Have you played all of them? Yeah, I'm not I haven't played the third one, but I played two.

[00:24:37] So I assume it's the same. Yeah, it is exactly the same. You're listening to them like the way the game works is it's just a point and click adventure, but you have like 30 seconds and do a point and click and it'll be

[00:24:50] like a stupid thing like there's a bomb in middle of your jail cell and you're locked in it. How are you going to get out? And it's like you click on the toilet and it makes you go pee toilet and it's like, okay, that didn't solve anything.

[00:25:01] And then you blow up and die, but then it really you always blow up and die. Yeah. And then you go back and it's like, OK, what if I go over to the bomb, I'll click on the bomb and you pee on the

[00:25:11] bomb and it puts out and you save the day. And it's like, what my favorite one was I struggled in this one. I had to look it up because there's a pier has like multiple screens because it's like a side scroller like

[00:25:24] Zelda where you get to the edge of the screen and then it slides over. And I'm trying to figure out what to do with the bomb to save this pier. And finally, I looked it up and they're like, oh, if you

[00:25:34] walk to the far left, there's a bus and I'm like, Oh, I take the bomb and I put it on the bus or something right? And they're like, no, you just get on the bus and leave and you get less and leave the pier blows

[00:25:44] up, but you're still alive. So it counts as a win. And I'm like, God, damn it. What a, I spent like 20 minutes on this level. But I reckon in the pixel, it's on Game Pass. It's like 94 megabytes or something.

[00:25:58] It's a very strange game, but it is really clever to see how stupid it is. You have to get through the stupid to see it. Yeah. It's like horseshoe theory with the adventure game logic, like with like grim Fandango and shit. Yeah.

[00:26:15] It's like, it's like how nonsensical can we make it? And it also does not have to make sense. Like not even a little bit, but once you do it, you're like, okay, I guess, I guess. Yeah. There was one part where it was like a bomb and I'm

[00:26:27] like, I don't know what to do with the bomb and you're in like an apartment or something like that. And there was like a plate and you have to pick up the bomb, put it on the plate and then sit

[00:26:34] down in the chair and then you eat it like a piece of cake. And you just, you cut into it and it was cake the whole time type deal. You know, like, that is so stupid because you're trying to throw it out the window and

[00:26:46] there's a trampoline outside the window. So the bomb bounces back into it. It's just so many, so many stupid things like that where it's like you try to jump out of the boat, but you jump out of the boat and land on a pier and break your neck.

[00:26:57] Stupid stuff like that. There was this video that I saw online that it was like a Japanese game show where it was like, is it candy? And so it was just a bunch of Japanese people biting into random things to find out if it's candy or not.

[00:27:09] It's so stupid. And every time it's like this guy goes down to bite it like there's a, you know, those handle doorknobs, not the circular ones, but long-gated ones. Yeah, yeah, yeah, handles. And he went down to bite it and everyone was

[01:04:09] but it was just like this busy so it was a hard to get games in and usually when me and Nate don't meet up I'm able to still play in whatever game we're playing but this game is not due to having a baby hanging on you

[01:12:07] and they'd have different suits so they kind of change out the look but just first person so you can't even see what's going on with the character so you can't customize your character in this one any character can wear any mask and any character can wear any suit

[01:14:07] and I'm like oh my god but you need a USB because you have to put a USB in there because there's an intricate system if you try to steal the painting without this USB key inserted it will set off advice that will blow up the painting

[01:14:19] and I'm like why? in the meantime amongst these hundreds of paintings you need to steal two of these other types of paintings from this specific guy but I don't know how you were supposed to know which one me and Phil just wandered around the whole place

[01:14:35] we stole every fucking painting but we missed one and of course it was the one we needed and so we were like wandering around just looking through every fucking room and every door is locked and you need a QR code to get through it

[01:14:47] and when you get a QR code you need to find a cell phone that was left behind and scan the cell phone and get the QR code but the cell phones are all around the goddamn place and they're tiny

[01:14:55] and hard to see and some of them are underneath files and it's like and Phil's like I've never even seen one of them and I'm like god damn it I'm fucking walking around looking through them so that was our last level

[01:15:05] we played and we spent like an hour on this level just trying to beat it and I'm like nay we should just give up and you're like no we can do this and I'm like oh god but by the way all the directions that she's like your

[01:16:25] they get arrested and then they just leave they just fucking vanish and we're like okay walls are idiots that's partially a problem too when you were saying the onboarding for this game is kind of terrible for the new user it's like it's a little bit of the onboarding

[01:16:41] one problem is that there are two cut scenes before every mission that we were not watching so we probably should do that because that probably had a lot of important context or stuff but also when you enter a lobby and you are level 7 and then everyone else level 45

[01:16:57] they just vanish they're like ah no and so it's hard to find people to play with if you don't have a full lobby of 4 this feels like our last episode where it's like my raid partners suck because I'm playing with low level losers

[01:17:11] that don't know how to play we were the low level losers that did not know how to play yeah but we were good at killing we could fight and we would stay alive and die very often and it just wasn't enough because we didn't know what to do

[01:17:27] but also we've seen that problem with the pop ups like the rides we're like we need to lower the ballwards to let the truck through and we're like how do we do this I don't even know what the fuck that is yeah as we're looking around

[01:22:52] inventory so they can be like you can only own nine guns at a time unless you spend the premium currency but it's been cash in the game like in game cash not real world cash to buy premium currency so it's not pay to win I guess

[01:23:08] if you want to grind them out you can buy some more bag spaces for guns you can buy more mask slots I don't know how I feel about this yeah I don't know either I didn't interact with it in any way so you can only buy

[01:23:22] so much premium currency though like you can and it resets every week from what I can tell so it's like you only buy like ten payday dollar reduce each week and then you have to wait a week

[01:23:34] then you can buy some more but then it makes you wonder if there's any like artificial kind of inflation because like would they in fact just raise the premium items prices for the premium users anyways since the free users are now going to be able to access

[01:23:48] it and the users are going to buy anything at all then they're going to pay more maybe you know that makes sense I just don't I'm trying to think of a game that does something similar feels like they're nickel and diamond us though especially for like a premium

[01:24:06] game to also have a premium like a $30 game or $40 $40 $40 game it gives you a way to make premium currency which is cool but not I don't know well there's this is tough I know in like if we call back to Dragon Ball Legends

[01:24:24] premium currency and that and that's the currency they use for all the summons everything is used premium currency so all the other currencies are just a stepping stone to get to the premium currency and you can only earn so many of that

[01:33:37] he was building the bridge before the car even got there incredible so a lot of these missions also came down to us just running out of ammo and just being out of ammo the whole time just running out of ammo if we knew what to do

[01:33:49] and we were just honestly fighting I think a lot of these are supposed to be like you're supposed to play it once and fail and then know generally what to do so that you have enough ammo to take you through the second half of the mission

[01:35:01] like in the first bank level we're using thermite to melt through the top of the vault and the cops will just pull the fire extinguisher or another fire extinguisher the fire alarm the sprinklers will just turn on and start slowing down the thermite

[01:35:15] and they're like no so you can actually stop them by just baby guarding the fire alarm I think I don't know then there's raised some questions like why can't we just shoot the fire alarm or break the sprinklers or something shoot the sprinklers

[01:35:31] does breaking a sprinkler cause the water to come out or why do we not just bring an umbrella to put over the thermite because wouldn't it just burn I don't know how hot thermite is like what's the range on that like how much does the heat
