[00:00:00] Hey everybody! On this episode of Gaming Collecting, me and Alex are going to talk a little bit about our post-Christmas escapades along with how the holiday season went. And we're also going to talk a bit about the Atari Jaguar because nothing screams the holidays like a little bit of that Atari Jag. But anyways guys, on with the new episode.
[00:00:22] This is how we're starting this, huh?
[00:00:47] He understands the stress balls now. He gets it. He got a stress ball for Christmas and now he understands the joy of squeezing one during the podcast.
[00:01:02] So how you been?
[00:01:03] Well, is this coming out after Christmas?
[00:01:07] Yes, this will be coming out the weekend after Christmas. Christmas has happened.
[00:01:11] It's been Christmas. Merry Christmas, y'all.
[00:01:15] Or Happy Hanukkah.
[00:01:17] Happy Hanukkah.
[00:01:19] Happy Holidays.
[00:01:21] Happy Holidays.
[00:01:22] It's almost...
[00:01:23] We'll see you guys next year!
[00:01:27] I always laugh because whenever I see somebody fumble over saying, like, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, I always think of the Christmas vacation thing.
[00:01:37] Like, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, kiss my ass, kiss your ass, kiss his ass, Happy Hanukkah.
[00:01:45] Are you drinking anything?
[00:01:47] I still have coffee.
[00:01:49] I still have coffee.
[00:01:50] I spilled wine on the floor.
[00:01:53] Not my intention.
[00:01:54] I went to grab it and my hand just instead went grab it just went...
[00:01:58] And I just threw it on the floor.
[00:02:00] Oh, you get the classic, you want to pick something up and instead you throw it on the floor?
[00:02:03] Yeah.
[00:02:04] Yeah, that happened.
[00:02:05] The chicken pot pie method.
[00:02:07] Shut up!
[00:02:08] I hate that chicken pot pie story.
[00:02:11] Um, instead though, I'm drinking a Zevia cream soda.
[00:02:17] It's naturally flavored.
[00:02:19] Zero sugar soda.
[00:02:21] 12 fluid ounces.
[00:02:23] Uh, which is 355 milliliters.
[00:02:27] What else do you got?
[00:02:27] Uh, zero calories.
[00:02:30] Uh, the serving size is one can.
[00:02:33] Uh, and like zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, everything else.
[00:02:36] And you can recycle it.
[00:02:40] Everyone cares about my facts.
[00:02:41] Were you playing music?
[00:02:42] I played the clown music for a few seconds.
[00:02:44] I still can't hear it.
[00:02:46] You can't hear the fucking clown music.
[00:02:48] That's, that's your own personal help.
[00:02:50] Um.
[00:02:50] How will I know?
[00:02:51] It's not as funny if I don't hear it.
[00:02:53] But everyone cares about my facts.
[00:02:55] Can you read some facts about coffee?
[00:03:01] We're not on the anime retrospective anymore.
[00:03:03] Take that down.
[00:03:04] Give us some coffee facts.
[00:03:06] Some nutritional facts on coffee.
[00:03:09] It's got caffeine.
[00:03:12] It's something, I'll take it.
[00:03:13] It's something from Bill.
[00:03:15] He usually doesn't.
[00:03:15] You know what I love about coffee?
[00:03:17] The media can't decide whether coffee is good for you or not.
[00:03:20] I don't give a fuck if they think it's good for me or not.
[00:03:23] I need it.
[00:03:24] It's my lifeblood.
[00:03:25] I just love the fact that.
[00:03:26] My lifeblood.
[00:03:27] We can't, we can't go like three months without them being like,
[00:03:30] coffee's bad for you.
[00:03:30] And then like a month later, it's good for you.
[00:03:32] No, it's bad.
[00:03:33] No, it's good.
[00:03:34] No, it's bad.
[00:03:35] That's why we have these, Bill.
[00:03:38] Bill, bring your stress ball back out.
[00:03:39] Come on.
[00:03:40] Stress ball time.
[00:03:41] Can you create a little chat caption thing that says it's stress ball time?
[00:03:46] Get, get distressed.
[00:03:50] Yeah.
[00:03:50] So it's the day after Christmas.
[00:03:51] We're still kind of tired.
[00:03:54] Well, it's like everyone, like you eat a lot of food.
[00:03:57] You spend a lot of time with people and then you're just exhausted the next day.
[00:04:02] Like you can see like my bags.
[00:04:04] I'm so tired.
[00:04:05] I don't know why.
[00:04:06] Like, well, I didn't sleep great.
[00:04:09] I made the mistake of when you're on vacation, you forget to turn off your alarms.
[00:04:14] Their usual work alarms.
[00:04:16] So I woke up and I was like, why is it dark out?
[00:04:18] It's only seven.
[00:04:20] And then I realized what time it was.
[00:04:21] I was like, fuck, I forgot to turn off my back, my work alarm.
[00:04:25] So I woke up at five.
[00:04:27] And I hated every second of it.
[00:04:29] And then of course, when I wake up at five, Miss Dingles goes, oh, it's time for food.
[00:04:36] Wake up.
[00:04:37] And it's just a menace.
[00:04:39] I sleep with a stick cat toy now so I can get her to leave me the hell alone so I can sleep.
[00:04:46] Yeah.
[00:04:47] The day after Christmas is always rough.
[00:04:50] You know, it's funny.
[00:04:50] Like we were so we were out doing because we got gift cards.
[00:04:53] And whenever you get gift cards, you have to go out and use gift cards.
[00:04:57] Yeah.
[00:04:58] We were wondering why it seems so empty.
[00:05:00] I completely forgot that most people didn't have today off.
[00:05:03] Yeah.
[00:05:05] Yeah.
[00:05:06] And all up.
[00:05:06] Well, just with how it lined up because it was on a Wednesday and today's Thursday.
[00:05:10] Yeah.
[00:05:10] This was a really shitty year for like where Christmas lined up because it was literally
[00:05:14] like they only gave you Christmas Eve off and then you immediately have to go right back
[00:05:18] to work after.
[00:05:19] Thank God I took this week off the rest of the year off.
[00:05:23] Me too.
[00:05:24] It's definitely.
[00:05:24] I mean, there are still people out and about, but definitely not as many as there would
[00:05:29] have been if it was like a normal date time.
[00:05:32] Yeah.
[00:05:33] Yeah.
[00:05:35] Yeah.
[00:05:35] We went to the normal spots, went to Newberry Comics because I had a gift card and I bought
[00:05:40] a lot of comics and manga.
[00:05:41] A lot of manga that wasn't supposed to be out yet.
[00:05:44] Surprise!
[00:05:46] Stores don't give a fuck.
[00:05:47] And there was like 5,000 copies of Chainsaw Man volume 17.
[00:05:50] Yeah.
[00:05:50] There was like so many copies of it.
[00:05:52] It was like, why?
[00:05:54] Hey, I got my copy.
[00:05:56] That's all I cared about.
[00:05:57] Yeah.
[00:05:57] I'm not collecting that one.
[00:06:00] Should we talk about Christmas first?
[00:06:02] Yeah.
[00:06:02] We can talk a little bit about Christmas.
[00:06:04] The wonderful ride up with the ass rider up our ass the entire way.
[00:06:08] That and I can tell you.
[00:06:10] So it was Miss Dingle's first Christmas with our family.
[00:06:15] She didn't take the ride with us because I don't think I'd ever get her home if I did.
[00:06:20] Just because if you knew our family's house, you'd get it.
[00:06:25] There's no way I would have been.
[00:06:26] She would have been living there forever.
[00:06:30] So, but I had Christmas with her in the morning.
[00:06:34] And she loved all her presents.
[00:06:37] And she was a Grinch.
[00:06:39] And she tried to open her present bag for like a good month prior.
[00:06:43] Because she's a little shit.
[00:06:45] But she finally got to open them.
[00:06:47] She played with all her toys.
[00:06:49] And then she had a good day.
[00:06:51] I think so.
[00:06:52] She proceeded to sleep the rest of the day.
[00:06:54] Yeah, she did.
[00:06:55] She was upstairs, I think, most of the day.
[00:06:57] Because when I came home, she was in the upstairs window.
[00:07:00] I think it's because it just got really cold the past few days.
[00:07:03] So it's much warmer upstairs versus downstairs.
[00:07:07] Yeah.
[00:07:09] Yeah.
[00:07:09] But then we drove.
[00:07:11] We had an ass rider up our ass.
[00:07:12] We had the butt sniffer.
[00:07:14] Yeah.
[00:07:16] Classic.
[00:07:17] You know, you're already going like 20 over the speed limit.
[00:07:19] But you have this one guy who just has to ride right up your butt.
[00:07:21] The most annoying part, though, was that like there was like no one on the road.
[00:07:26] He could have passed us like at any time.
[00:07:29] He just was choosing not to pass.
[00:07:31] Like I understand getting a little close to someone if it's like they're going slow and you can't get around them.
[00:07:36] And it's like.
[00:07:37] But like we were going fast.
[00:07:39] And there was plenty of time.
[00:07:41] Like he could have gotten around if he was in that big of a hurry.
[00:07:44] It's just stupid.
[00:07:46] And then like when we get off, of course, he takes the exit.
[00:07:49] We're taking.
[00:07:49] And then when he gets off, he gets behind us again.
[00:07:51] We're like, are you fucking kidding me?
[00:07:53] But he finally passed.
[00:07:54] I was like, thank God.
[00:07:55] Yeah.
[00:07:56] He like wrote our butt for like a mile and then said, fuck this and went around.
[00:07:59] And I was like, you could have done that.
[00:08:02] So many points.
[00:08:03] But yeah, I don't know.
[00:08:05] That's why I need this stress ball.
[00:08:07] It's a nice stress ball.
[00:08:09] Yeah.
[00:08:10] Then we got stuck by like that guy who was trying to run everyone over like to get around them.
[00:08:14] Yeah.
[00:08:15] Was that on the way home or the way?
[00:08:17] Well, no.
[00:08:17] The way home, we had the guy who just was constantly in the other lane.
[00:08:20] Yeah.
[00:08:21] The way up, we had that one guy who was like just.
[00:08:23] It was the single lane highway.
[00:08:25] And he was trying to get around people like the entire way.
[00:08:27] Oh.
[00:08:28] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:08:30] What fun.
[00:08:31] And then we passed the Duncan on our way back.
[00:08:33] And we felt bad because the Duncan was open.
[00:08:35] We did not stop.
[00:08:37] It shouldn't have been open.
[00:08:38] That person should.
[00:08:39] They should be on Christmas break.
[00:08:40] They should have the day off.
[00:08:42] But it kind of sucks.
[00:08:43] Yeah.
[00:08:43] We were trying not to be part of the problem by not going.
[00:08:48] Yeah, by giving them nothing to do.
[00:08:51] Yeah.
[00:08:52] Well, and then they should justify not being there.
[00:08:55] They should have the day off.
[00:08:56] But oh well.
[00:08:58] We can't control corporate Duncan Corporation.
[00:09:02] There's a mushroom behind me.
[00:09:04] Yay.
[00:09:05] See?
[00:09:06] And Ms. Dingles went in it.
[00:09:07] She went in it.
[00:09:08] I was sitting on the chase this morning.
[00:09:11] And I looked over.
[00:09:13] I was on my iPad.
[00:09:14] I looked over.
[00:09:15] And I was like, she's in her mushroom hut.
[00:09:17] And then of course I tried to take a photo.
[00:09:19] And she runs away.
[00:09:20] I was like, damn it.
[00:09:22] Oh yeah.
[00:09:22] We dramatically put her in her little Christmas scarf too.
[00:09:26] Yes.
[00:09:28] This Christmas scarf.
[00:09:30] It's a little leaf.
[00:09:32] She had a little leaf around her neck.
[00:09:33] And she hated every second of it.
[00:09:35] But I did it.
[00:09:36] And I betrayed her trust.
[00:09:38] She was in the top of the cat tower.
[00:09:39] And I just went up to her and was like, hey.
[00:09:44] You're going in this.
[00:09:45] And she was like, no.
[00:09:46] And I was like, too damn bad.
[00:09:49] Yeah.
[00:09:50] So what happened when we got home for Christmas?
[00:09:54] Home being our family home.
[00:09:57] We hung around, ate breakfast, opened presents, and then watched Christmas Vacation.
[00:10:02] Yes.
[00:10:03] The normal Christmas time extravaganza.
[00:10:08] Any fun things you want to highlight that you got?
[00:10:12] A couple PlayStation 5 games.
[00:10:15] I got Metaphor, ReFantasio, finally.
[00:10:19] And Ys, 10.
[00:10:21] Also, me and our mother are going to an IndyCar race later in the year.
[00:10:26] And I'm really looking forward to that.
[00:10:27] Nice.
[00:10:27] Where is it?
[00:10:29] Road America in Wisconsin.
[00:10:31] Oh.
[00:10:32] That should be fun.
[00:10:32] You're going to get a cheese hat?
[00:10:34] No.
[00:10:35] Oh.
[00:10:38] Why would I?
[00:10:40] I don't know.
[00:10:41] Just to have a cheese hat.
[00:10:42] They make cheese there.
[00:10:43] That's more of a football thing, to be honest.
[00:10:45] I don't care.
[00:10:46] I want a fucking cheese hat.
[00:10:48] Get me one.
[00:10:49] Yeah, how hard that would be to fall?
[00:10:51] Mom, can you get me a cheese hat from Wisconsin?
[00:10:54] Thank you.
[00:10:57] Anything fun you got?
[00:10:59] I got this stress ball, which I really like.
[00:11:02] Bill, it's stress ball time.
[00:11:05] I've got Bill on the stress ball game.
[00:11:07] I mean, well, especially I was really sad when I lost one.
[00:11:09] But now I have cheese stress balls.
[00:11:12] When she murdered her duck?
[00:11:14] Well, I like this one because it's kind of the same texture.
[00:11:16] Sure as the...
[00:11:17] Like, this one has a lot of, like, air pockets.
[00:11:20] Which, like, it's nice, but it's not always my favorite.
[00:11:23] I like the ones where it's, like, a good solid squish.
[00:11:25] Am I boring you?
[00:11:27] Stop fucking yawning!
[00:11:29] It's, like, a good solid squish.
[00:11:32] What else?
[00:11:33] Well, Bill was very nice, and he got me several volumes of manga.
[00:11:38] So I got two more volumes of solo leveling, which I have been reading all day today.
[00:11:44] And, whoo, it is a good time.
[00:11:47] What else?
[00:11:47] Then he got me two volumes of the Apocryphal Diaries, which I'm also excited to read.
[00:11:53] You gotta watch season one so you can watch season two.
[00:11:56] And then he got me a volume of Free Run, which was also really nice.
[00:12:01] And the next volume of the One Piece 3 and 1s as well.
[00:12:04] Yes.
[00:12:05] Thanks, Bill!
[00:12:06] So now you have over 100 volumes of One Piece.
[00:12:09] I do.
[00:12:09] It's crazy.
[00:12:12] Out of 106, I think?
[00:12:15] Yeah.
[00:12:15] I have, like, a lot of manga volumes now.
[00:12:20] I do need another shelf.
[00:12:21] But I'm looking at...
[00:12:22] Well, so kind of a plan tomorrow is I'm going to be painting my guest room.
[00:12:27] Because I've been waiting to paint it for a while, and I'm finally just going to do it.
[00:12:30] So I'm going to paint my guest room.
[00:12:32] And then after I paint it, I'm going to kind of rework the area.
[00:12:38] Because what I'd like to do is I'd like to take my desk that's down here and move it up there
[00:12:42] and kind of make it into more of an office space.
[00:12:48] Yeah.
[00:12:48] Make it more of a workable...
[00:12:49] Working space.
[00:12:50] And then down here, I'll kind of have a little more space.
[00:12:52] But also, like, it's really loud down here.
[00:12:56] Like, when the heat or the AC is going off.
[00:12:58] And I'd like to, like, make it into, like, a space where if I wanted to, like,
[00:13:02] potentially do streaming or anything like that, I could do that.
[00:13:06] But, um...
[00:13:08] So, yeah.
[00:13:09] And I'll be able to set up my little green screen and stuff.
[00:13:12] So that's kind of my plan.
[00:13:14] Yeah.
[00:13:16] Alex also was nice enough to get me a...
[00:13:19] Nendroid of, um, Suzume.
[00:13:21] Yeah!
[00:13:22] Chair.
[00:13:23] With the chair.
[00:13:24] Getting it to hold the damn chair was a pain in the ass.
[00:13:27] What else did I get you, Bill?
[00:13:29] You got me the light novel and the second volume of the manga for Suzume.
[00:13:33] Yeah.
[00:13:34] And you got me a frog mug.
[00:13:36] Yes.
[00:13:36] Did you like the mug?
[00:13:37] Did you remember to bring it back with you?
[00:13:40] Yeah, it's up in my cabinet.
[00:13:41] Okay, good.
[00:13:41] Are you going to use it every day?
[00:13:44] Um, potentially.
[00:13:45] I don't really want to ruin it.
[00:13:46] Because it looks like one that'll get ruined over time.
[00:13:55] Do you want me to ruin it?
[00:13:57] I want you to love it and use it every day.
[00:14:01] It's a frog mug!
[00:14:06] Did you hear that thump?
[00:14:08] Did you hear that thump?
[00:14:09] I threw it on the table.
[00:14:11] But you tried to.
[00:14:11] Oh, jeez.
[00:14:12] Yeah.
[00:14:15] What the fuck are these made of?
[00:14:17] There's good weight to them.
[00:14:18] Like, you can see.
[00:14:20] Like, there's weight.
[00:14:23] They're solid.
[00:14:24] Oh, and then, uh...
[00:14:26] So for our mom, I got her for her Christmas, I got her tickets to the Rockettes.
[00:14:31] So we're going to see the Rockettes on Saturday.
[00:14:36] Which should be fun.
[00:14:37] Um, so we're going to just run down to New York.
[00:14:40] Do a quick dinner.
[00:14:42] Go see the show.
[00:14:43] And then head back.
[00:14:44] So, what is that?
[00:14:48] What's that?
[00:14:49] It's a coffee.
[00:14:50] We've already been over this.
[00:14:51] It's a coffee.
[00:14:52] No.
[00:14:53] Oh, yeah.
[00:14:53] Also, some people might notice, but I have a new pair of headphones.
[00:14:58] Mine were dying.
[00:14:59] So, uh, I got mom got me a new pair, which was really nice of her.
[00:15:03] I didn't even ask for it.
[00:15:04] I was just...
[00:15:05] I mentioned it at one point that I was going to buy a new pair, and then they appeared.
[00:15:10] Which was very nice of her.
[00:15:11] You didn't have to do that, mom.
[00:15:12] You didn't have to do all of that.
[00:15:14] It was too nice.
[00:15:16] Thank you.
[00:15:18] Bill's wearing an A&W Rootbear hat.
[00:15:22] He really likes Rootbear.
[00:15:26] Anyways.
[00:15:27] Anyways, guys.
[00:15:29] Thanks for...
[00:15:32] I forgot to speak.
[00:15:33] Thanks so much for watching.
[00:15:36] It serves you right.
[00:15:39] Ew.
[00:15:40] Unmute me, bitch!
[00:15:42] Oh, shit.
[00:15:43] Was that unmuted?
[00:15:44] Oh, yeah.
[00:15:45] Oh, fuck.
[00:15:46] Uh, you heard nothing.
[00:15:48] Bill, please unmute me.
[00:15:50] I didn't say it in a mean way.
[00:15:54] Have you been watching anything?
[00:15:56] Not really, because I'm kind of animated out.
[00:15:59] You'll understand next week what I mean by that.
[00:16:01] Oh, wait.
[00:16:02] Is this going before?
[00:16:03] Yes.
[00:16:04] Oh, so they haven't heard our anime rundown list.
[00:16:07] No, they have not.
[00:16:09] They'll find out next week.
[00:16:10] You know, it's funny.
[00:16:12] I still haven't finished Dawn to Dawn, because I forgot to watch the last episode.
[00:16:14] Me either!
[00:16:15] I still haven't either.
[00:16:17] Well, I've been watching One Piece, because I realized that I really neglected it this year.
[00:16:22] But you'll understand why, once you listen to the anime episode.
[00:16:27] I've been just tired.
[00:16:28] Is this episode going to come out before the anime episode?
[00:16:32] Yes.
[00:16:33] It is.
[00:16:34] It is.
[00:16:34] Okay.
[00:16:34] So, all right.
[00:16:35] All right.
[00:16:36] All right.
[00:16:38] I've been watching One Piece.
[00:16:40] And I've been just going through my favorite arcs and, like, favorite parts of the arc.
[00:16:43] I'm watching the Summit War arc, and I'm just ready for depression.
[00:16:47] If you know, you know.
[00:16:50] Lovely.
[00:16:50] Bill's going to start watching Free Rint.
[00:16:52] No, Bill has to watch Attack on Titan.
[00:16:54] I have to watch a lot of stuff.
[00:16:55] I'll get to it eventually.
[00:16:56] You have to watch Free Rint.
[00:16:57] You have to watch Apothecary Diary.
[00:17:00] A dang gone, what now?
[00:17:01] Go fuck yourself.
[00:17:02] I want a bear.
[00:17:04] I want a bear.
[00:17:05] Oh, that scared me.
[00:17:08] Poo's automatic cat feeder just went off.
[00:17:10] I thought there was something, like, running around my house.
[00:17:13] It scared me.
[00:17:13] No, it's just the cat.
[00:17:14] Did you hear that?
[00:17:16] Yes.
[00:17:16] Me did.
[00:17:17] See, that's why I want to move this upstairs.
[00:17:21] It all makes sense.
[00:17:24] Oh, squish, squish, squish, squish, squish, squish, squish.
[00:17:28] Squish, squish, squish, squish, squish.
[00:17:31] Yeah.
[00:17:32] This is quality content, isn't it?
[00:17:34] Any other.
[00:17:35] So what happened after?
[00:17:36] So we left.
[00:17:38] Well, we ate a nice dinner.
[00:17:40] We did.
[00:17:42] Our friend and my co-host over in Geek Addicts, Matt, stopped by.
[00:17:46] Oh, Matt.
[00:17:48] Those humor balls were really fucking good.
[00:17:52] Thank you, Matt and Sydney.
[00:17:54] Very much appreciated.
[00:17:56] They dropped off their gifts.
[00:17:57] I got another figure.
[00:17:59] A slutty your figure, because she's a big old whore.
[00:18:03] Oh, yeah.
[00:18:03] Yeah, this is, like, literally the most slutty figure of all time right here.
[00:18:08] Yep.
[00:18:08] That just screams slut to me.
[00:18:14] Kidding.
[00:18:17] That's funny.
[00:18:17] That's funny.
[00:18:18] That's part of, like...
[00:18:18] That's part of, like, a set.
[00:18:20] No one can hear you.
[00:18:20] You're not close to the mic, Bill.
[00:18:23] It's actually funny.
[00:18:24] That's part of, like, a set.
[00:18:25] And you can get them all.
[00:18:26] But the Lloyd one is really goofy.
[00:18:27] Because he's, like, got, like, this weird, like, pose.
[00:18:29] And it just doesn't work.
[00:18:31] Also, Bill.
[00:18:32] Show off to our community.
[00:18:35] We got these.
[00:18:37] Little cool little mini mics.
[00:18:40] I would, but the box is really hard to open on mine.
[00:18:42] So, I'm not going to force it open.
[00:18:44] Well, we both got these little mini mics, which are really cool.
[00:18:47] So, maybe we can do some live whatever-ing.
[00:18:51] I don't know.
[00:18:52] We'll see.
[00:18:53] Maybe we can mention live streaming or something.
[00:18:56] But not be, like, the obnoxious people who are in the way.
[00:18:58] Like, just be respectful.
[00:19:01] I'm not calling anyone out.
[00:19:03] Yeah, like those people at the fucking bookstore today that were hugging
[00:19:06] the fucking shelves and I wanted to fucking see.
[00:19:10] Or just, I don't know about how you guys feel about it, but PDA.
[00:19:15] I don't want to see you making out in the store.
[00:19:18] I'm sorry.
[00:19:19] I don't want to see that.
[00:19:20] It's a little uncomfortable.
[00:19:22] Well, it's that and then being fucking obvious and gross about it.
[00:19:26] Like, when you can fucking visibly.
[00:19:27] Especially when you notice there's a person right there.
[00:19:29] Like, if there's no one around, whatever.
[00:19:32] Some people like that.
[00:19:32] Some people like that, Bill.
[00:19:35] They do, and they're freaks.
[00:19:36] But, um.
[00:19:37] We're jumping all over the place.
[00:19:39] I'm sorry.
[00:19:40] Like, I don't like the kick shame.
[00:19:42] But, like, I also don't want to see that in public.
[00:19:44] Yeah.
[00:19:46] Yeah.
[00:19:46] Do what you want.
[00:19:47] Just not in front of me.
[00:19:48] Not in front of me.
[00:19:54] Pretty much.
[00:19:55] Also, like.
[00:19:56] What is with people just leaving their trash everywhere now?
[00:20:00] Yeah, there was trash everywhere in the Barnes & Noble.
[00:20:03] And the, um.
[00:20:04] Honestly, and the Newberry Comics, too.
[00:20:05] I saw, like, a bunch of.
[00:20:06] Like, I don't know.
[00:20:07] People are just.
[00:20:09] That was one thing I really loved about Japan.
[00:20:11] Is that there was such a strong culture of, like, not littering.
[00:20:14] Like, you never saw any litter.
[00:20:16] Like, it was crazy.
[00:20:17] Which is crazy because they don't have trash cans there.
[00:20:18] No, yeah.
[00:20:19] But you would see, like, people would, like, literally.
[00:20:21] If you bought a drink and you took it with you.
[00:20:25] Guess what?
[00:20:25] You were holding that drink for the rest of your life until you got home and put it in the trash.
[00:20:29] I'm not kidding.
[00:20:29] Like, I would see people who would be carrying their empty trash and just wait to go to a trash can.
[00:20:34] Like, it's not something you'd ever see here.
[00:20:36] And it's.
[00:20:37] I miss Japan.
[00:20:38] I want to go back to Japan so badly.
[00:20:40] I want to go back.
[00:20:42] Yeah.
[00:20:44] Yeah.
[00:20:45] Other than that, though, after we finished Christmas, we drove home.
[00:20:48] We ate Jubilee cake.
[00:20:50] Yes, we sure did.
[00:20:51] Because they don't make Jubilee rolls anymore.
[00:20:53] Do you guys know what a Jubilee roll is?
[00:20:56] It's just ice cream cake.
[00:20:58] No.
[00:20:59] No.
[00:20:59] It's not just ice cream cake.
[00:21:02] And they discontinued it.
[00:21:03] Do they say Jubilee roll.
[00:21:06] It's from Friendly's.
[00:21:08] And it's.
[00:21:09] Oh, it's a New England thing.
[00:21:10] A Jubilee roll is a New England holiday ice cream treat that combines chocolate, chocolate chip ice cream.
[00:21:16] All these people are like, what the fuck is she talking about?
[00:21:19] It's a seasonal item.
[00:21:21] It's popular with both kids and adults.
[00:21:25] And adult Jubilee roll.
[00:21:30] Well, we didn't have.
[00:21:31] They only had a Jubilee cake.
[00:21:33] Not the roll.
[00:21:34] It's ice cream cake.
[00:21:36] No.
[00:21:37] It's not.
[00:21:38] Look.
[00:21:39] Like, there is just something magical about the roll.
[00:21:42] Where it's like the chocolate chip, the chocolate.
[00:21:45] There's a little bit of strawberry ice cream on the top with candies in it.
[00:21:48] Then there's little chocolate streams with nuts on it.
[00:21:52] And it is an amazing combination.
[00:21:53] And they took away the strawberry ice cream.
[00:21:57] And they made it frosting.
[00:21:59] And I'm sick.
[00:22:01] Why are you not upset about this?
[00:22:07] You just had to get that out there, didn't you?
[00:22:10] I missed the roll.
[00:22:12] It's just a cake now.
[00:22:13] And it's not the same.
[00:22:16] Yeah.
[00:22:17] It's not the same.
[00:22:19] Why are you not upset?
[00:22:22] Why are you not upset about Jubilee rolls being gone?
[00:22:26] Because I am not stressed at all.
[00:22:31] I'm very stressed because they took away my Jubilee roll.
[00:22:34] But you didn't even say it right, Bill.
[00:22:36] Say how you're supposed to pronounce it.
[00:22:39] Huh?
[00:22:40] How you're supposed to pronounce Jubilee roll.
[00:22:43] No.
[00:22:44] No.
[00:22:44] No.
[00:22:44] You have to say it.
[00:22:45] All right.
[00:22:45] I'll say it because Bill's a little whip.
[00:22:47] Jubilee roll.
[00:22:49] All right.
[00:22:49] Your turn, Bill.
[00:22:50] No.
[00:22:51] Bill!
[00:22:52] Why are you embarrassed?
[00:22:54] Are you embarrassed of me?
[00:22:55] Do I embarrass you?
[00:22:58] Is this?
[00:22:59] Everyone cares.
[00:23:00] They care about the, is the Klawn music playing?
[00:23:04] No.
[00:23:04] I hope that no one can hear it.
[00:23:06] Wait, can you try playing it again?
[00:23:08] Let me see if I can hear it.
[00:23:11] Are you playing it?
[00:23:21] Yeah.
[00:23:22] But we do.
[00:23:25] I swear to God, every time we drive home now.
[00:23:28] I'm sorry.
[00:23:29] I'm so happy that you made that a thing.
[00:23:32] Yeah.
[00:23:32] But I drove home.
[00:23:34] Every time we drive home now, we always get stuck by either a drunk driver or just an
[00:23:38] a-hole.
[00:23:39] And this guy was like the most confusing person we've ever seen where he was just driving in
[00:23:43] two lanes the entire way and was actively trying to drive people off the road.
[00:23:47] Yeah.
[00:23:48] It was a little scary.
[00:23:50] A little.
[00:23:50] It was kind of terrifying.
[00:23:53] Yeah.
[00:23:53] Well, you were afraid to pass because you were like, I want to be next.
[00:23:56] I tried to pass him once and he sped up just to keep me behind him because he was
[00:24:01] one of those people.
[00:24:02] Yeah.
[00:24:03] He also wouldn't maintain-
[00:24:05] If only you had this while you were driving, it would have been a better experience.
[00:24:08] Yeah.
[00:24:11] We also now have enough-
[00:24:13] We basically-
[00:24:13] This was like the first year where we just cleaned out all of the leftovers.
[00:24:18] Yeah.
[00:24:19] Yeah, we did.
[00:24:20] But they appreciated it because mom and dad even said, they're like, we didn't eat half
[00:24:25] of them.
[00:24:25] So take them.
[00:24:27] Yeah.
[00:24:27] And they take up all that space in their fridge.
[00:24:29] And now we can just not have to worry about food for a week.
[00:24:32] Yeah.
[00:24:33] And we're going to be-
[00:24:34] So for New Year's Eve, we always order Chinese food.
[00:24:37] And we always order a shit ton because we're fatties.
[00:24:41] It's New Year's.
[00:24:41] So we'll have leftovers.
[00:24:43] We treat ourselves on New Year's Eve.
[00:24:45] We need to be happy because after the following day, we have to go back to work and that sucks.
[00:24:51] Yeah.
[00:24:51] And we want to kill ourselves.
[00:24:53] We want to kill ourselves.
[00:24:58] You know what would make this better?
[00:25:00] What?
[00:25:00] A Jubilee Roll.
[00:25:02] You know what's funny is Shaw's.
[00:25:05] Aw, I miss Shaw's.
[00:25:11] I love that you made that happen.
[00:25:14] Why do you miss a grocery store?
[00:25:16] I just miss it, okay?
[00:25:19] It's just something about your hometown.
[00:25:21] You know, it's just Big Y and like price-
[00:25:24] Well, price rate, or was it ShopRite got ruined because they ruined self-checkout.
[00:25:30] Big Y is expensive.
[00:25:32] Geisler's is okay.
[00:25:34] I go to Geisler's most of the time just because it's cheap.
[00:25:39] I miss Shaw's and I miss Market Basket.
[00:25:41] I don't miss Market Basket.
[00:25:43] Market Basket was always too crowded.
[00:25:44] We're so close to Shaw's, Amy.
[00:25:47] Shaw's.
[00:25:48] It's like pretty far, Alex.
[00:25:50] Where's the club?
[00:25:51] Oh, I was like, oh, no.
[00:25:54] There's-
[00:25:55] Oh, how far is that?
[00:25:57] How far is that?
[00:26:01] It's in Starbridge.
[00:26:03] I ain't driving to Starbridge for groceries.
[00:26:06] Oh, yeah, we went to Stu Leonard's again and it was a fucking hellhole.
[00:26:10] Oh, yeah.
[00:26:10] Stu Leonard's.
[00:26:11] It's always a nightmare.
[00:26:12] Oh, an hour?
[00:26:14] No!
[00:26:15] I'm not driving an hour for groceries.
[00:26:17] Fuck that.
[00:26:19] Yeah, all right.
[00:26:20] I won't either.
[00:26:22] But I'm so sad.
[00:26:23] Yeah, I went to Stu Leonard's because I needed to get some stuff for, um, I always make a
[00:26:28] Brussels sprouts, roasted Brussels sprouts for holiday dinner.
[00:26:33] Um, mom and dad say I didn't ruin it, but I think I ruined them with too much garlic,
[00:26:38] so I'm going to not use all that fresh garlic this next time I do it.
[00:26:43] Um, but yeah, we went and it was like, oh, like this bitch in front of me was just like-
[00:26:48] It's one of- if you've ever been to Stu Leonard's, you'll totally understand, but the store is set
[00:26:53] up like a maze and it's always mobbed with people, uh, regardless of the holidays, but
[00:26:58] it was super mobbed.
[00:26:59] So basically, like, you go through and it's basically just- it's like a winding maze around
[00:27:04] the store.
[00:27:05] And this lady just kept stopping, but she like would just stop out of nowhere and she
[00:27:09] like looked at me and was like, move back.
[00:27:11] And I was like, bitch, where the fuck am I supposed to go?
[00:27:14] You keep stopping!
[00:27:15] Move!
[00:27:16] Like, and I had like a group of people behind me, so eventually she pulled over and I got
[00:27:21] around there and I was like, bitch.
[00:27:23] Like, like, I'm not trying to ram into you, but you keep stopping out of nowhere.
[00:27:29] I don't- I can't control what you're doing.
[00:27:32] Oh, I- I love Stu Leonard, but I hate it all at the same time.
[00:27:36] You just hate people.
[00:27:38] I do.
[00:27:38] I do hate people.
[00:27:40] Like, you were- you were in your own personal hell today at Barnes & Noble.
[00:27:43] They weren't that bad.
[00:27:45] I mean, it was just- like, we were checking out and there was like this mom with like three
[00:27:48] kids and like, she's disciplining them at the grocery light.
[00:27:52] Like, as she's checking out.
[00:27:54] Like, she had finished checking out and she's just disciplining them and not leaving.
[00:27:57] I was like, bitch, leave!
[00:27:59] Leave!
[00:27:59] You're blocking the line!
[00:28:00] Move your asshole kids and get out!
[00:28:03] I love how you went from they weren't so bad to asshole kids!
[00:28:07] Well, they were B.
[00:28:08] Well, she was- move!
[00:28:10] I want to check out!
[00:28:11] You're holding up the line!
[00:28:12] Like, I hate- I mean, I think people know.
[00:28:15] Like, I don't really like kids.
[00:28:17] I will never have one.
[00:28:19] I think they're annoying.
[00:28:20] And I'm sure I was an annoying little shit, too.
[00:28:23] But yeah, I don't want to relive it.
[00:28:26] No, thank you.
[00:28:26] I don't want that in my life.
[00:28:27] That's a lot of work.
[00:28:29] And people don't parent them anymore.
[00:28:31] It sucks.
[00:28:33] The only one I like is my friend's baby.
[00:28:35] She's a little angel baby.
[00:28:37] Everyone else is a little shit.
[00:28:42] Anyways-
[00:28:42] No one doesn't care, baby.
[00:28:44] I think we've waffled on enough.
[00:28:46] No!
[00:28:47] I hate to put on that clown music for yourself.
[00:28:51] Put it on.
[00:28:51] Put it on.
[00:28:53] Put it on.
[00:28:55] Put on the stupid clown music.
[00:28:58] No.
[00:28:59] You deserve it for saying waffled on.
[00:29:02] No!
[00:29:02] I hate that!
[00:29:04] I hate the term waffled on.
[00:29:06] Like, choose any other word.
[00:29:09] Choose another word.
[00:29:10] No.
[00:29:10] Choose one.
[00:29:11] No.
[00:29:12] Choose one.
[00:29:13] It's only-
[00:29:14] We only use waffle because you don't like it.
[00:29:20] I know where you live.
[00:29:22] So do I.
[00:29:27] That's weird and creepy.
[00:29:30] I know if you've been bad or good.
[00:29:33] I'm singing the Santa song.
[00:29:36] Yeah.
[00:29:36] What song is that?
[00:29:37] You better watch out.
[00:29:38] You better not cry.
[00:29:39] You better not pelt.
[00:29:41] Bill shut his pants.
[00:29:42] Santa Claus is coming to town.
[00:29:45] Yeah, yeah.
[00:29:46] That's what it is.
[00:29:48] But we didn't even watch-
[00:29:49] We watched one Christmas movie.
[00:29:51] We watched the Mupp-
[00:29:52] No, we watched Disney's Once Upon a Christmas.
[00:29:54] And then we watched the Muppets Christmas Carol.
[00:29:56] And then we just watched Game Grumps.
[00:29:57] We watched the Teardown game, which I really want to play.
[00:30:00] That would be fun to stream.
[00:30:03] Yeah.
[00:30:03] Yeah.
[00:30:04] But yeah, so we also played something else for Christmas Eve because we needed something to tie this episode together.
[00:30:13] If you've been paying attention to the title of the episode, it makes a lot of sense.
[00:30:16] But we played some Atari Jaguar again.
[00:30:18] Alex is favorite.
[00:30:19] Yeah, we did.
[00:30:20] My favorite console.
[00:30:21] I love the Jaguar.
[00:30:23] Yeah.
[00:30:24] Jaguar is always a fun console to revisit.
[00:30:26] It's so underrated and underappreciated.
[00:30:29] And it's the only console that kind of looks like a turlet.
[00:30:33] Only with the CD attachment.
[00:30:35] Yeah, and that's amazing.
[00:30:37] I want the turlet.
[00:30:38] I don't even want the-
[00:30:39] I just want the turlet.
[00:30:40] Just give me the turlet.
[00:30:42] Well, it's $600, so you get that.
[00:30:45] Can you get it for me for my birthday?
[00:30:47] No.
[00:30:48] Please?
[00:30:48] I don't even own one of those.
[00:30:54] So what games did we play on the Jaguar?
[00:30:57] Well, of course we had to start it off by playing Cybermorph because-
[00:31:02] Where did you learn?
[00:31:03] To fly.
[00:31:04] She doesn't even say it that much.
[00:31:05] Where did you learn?
[00:31:07] To fly.
[00:31:08] Legit.
[00:31:08] I love ABGN.
[00:31:10] Avoid the ground.
[00:31:10] Avoid the ground.
[00:31:12] I love ABGN.
[00:31:13] But my god, he exaggerates so much in that goddamn review.
[00:31:18] Yeah, but I mean, he probably does it for the joke aspect of it.
[00:31:21] No, it was a joke aspect.
[00:31:23] Unfortunately, a lot of people just take everything he says to heart.
[00:31:27] And it's not that bad.
[00:31:29] Like, Cybermorph is a-
[00:31:31] So the reason we always play Cybermorph is I leave Cybermorph in my Jaguar because the Jaguar doesn't have a dust cover for the fucking cartridge slot.
[00:31:39] But it's not a perfect design.
[00:31:41] I'll say that.
[00:31:42] I don't know what you're talking about.
[00:31:44] I'd say it's a design that leaves you always ready to play a game.
[00:31:48] And Cybermorph is your choice.
[00:31:50] I'd say it's a great design.
[00:31:52] But yeah, so we played a bit of-
[00:31:53] Much better than the N64.
[00:31:55] Cybermorph is actually kind of an interesting game.
[00:31:58] It's kind of hard to-
[00:31:59] Like corn cobs.
[00:32:00] I mean, corn kernels.
[00:32:02] Well, it's kind of one of those games where you really have to pay attention to what's going on.
[00:32:06] Because, like, it doesn't really tell you once you get in the levels.
[00:32:08] It gives you a little briefing beforehand.
[00:32:11] Yeah.
[00:32:11] But if you're not paying attention like most people, like myself.
[00:32:16] Yeah.
[00:32:16] But, like, the whole, like, where did you learn to fly thing?
[00:32:19] Like, we were flying into mountains repeatedly and it never gets set.
[00:32:22] Like, honestly, we heard avoid the ground more than where did you learn to fly?
[00:32:27] I forgot to showcase this.
[00:32:29] That's still kind of horrifying.
[00:32:34] That is, like, the stuff of nightmares.
[00:32:37] For anyone who's not-
[00:32:38] She's got, like, a live action figure.
[00:32:41] Yeah!
[00:32:42] He's great.
[00:32:43] What are you talking about?
[00:32:44] It's a little horrifying.
[00:32:46] No, he's wonderful.
[00:32:47] I don't know what you're talking about.
[00:32:48] He has a great time.
[00:32:49] I'll move him back.
[00:32:51] I completely forgot about that entirely.
[00:32:53] I put him on my desk so he can stare at me while I pod.
[00:32:56] He's literally right there.
[00:32:58] I'm making eye contact with him.
[00:33:00] Yeah.
[00:33:03] That's why I need the stress bone.
[00:33:04] Where's my stress bone?
[00:33:05] Oh, it's right in front of me.
[00:33:06] I thought I lost it.
[00:33:07] I'm a little stressed.
[00:33:09] I played a bit of Cybermorph until I died and then I let Alex play.
[00:33:13] And Alex had a lot more fun with it than I did because she was chasing after-
[00:33:17] She decided to name all the power-ups corn kernels.
[00:33:21] That's why they looked like little pieces of corn.
[00:33:24] And then they got stolen and you were like, it stole my corn kernel!
[00:33:29] And then I killed it for stealing my corn.
[00:33:31] I had a great time.
[00:33:33] That game's not that bad.
[00:33:34] It's just not remarkable either.
[00:33:37] It's a very-
[00:33:38] If the load times, like the level loading times were better, I'd say it'd be a cult classic.
[00:33:44] The load times aren't even bad.
[00:33:45] It's more the draw distance is kind of crap.
[00:33:48] Yeah, that's what I meant.
[00:33:49] Like the-
[00:33:51] Just the mountains appearing right as you drive into them is fun.
[00:33:55] Yeah, there's that.
[00:33:55] And then there's also just like the fact that it doesn't really explain anything to you as you play.
[00:34:00] Yeah.
[00:34:00] But hey, that's the fun of the Jaguars.
[00:34:02] It's a good time.
[00:34:03] You figure it out as you go.
[00:34:06] Yeah.
[00:34:06] And then of course we played Kasumi Ninja after.
[00:34:09] And Kasumi Ninja-
[00:34:11] Kasumi Ninja is like one of the worst Mortal Kombat clones ever made.
[00:34:16] Like, I still remember like-
[00:34:18] Because we played the game-
[00:34:20] I remember the joke was like, it has the dumbest character select screen ever.
[00:34:26] Yes.
[00:34:27] Like, it's not a traditional like, you know, just pick the character screen.
[00:34:31] You have to like walk around this like 3D first person shooter style dungeon.
[00:34:36] All these statues.
[00:34:37] And the best part is literally just like a bunch of shades of like this greenish gray color.
[00:34:44] Sorry.
[00:34:44] I almost died.
[00:34:47] Oh.
[00:34:49] Sorry.
[00:34:49] I would have tried to mute, but I was mid conversing, so I couldn't really mute.
[00:34:53] But yeah, it's like these greenish gray color.
[00:34:55] Everything kind of just looks like a mess.
[00:34:58] And you just like scroll through.
[00:34:59] And all of these characters are very, maybe-
[00:35:03] The best way to describe it is very racially stereotyped.
[00:35:08] Questionable.
[00:35:09] Oh, racial stereotyping.
[00:35:10] Yeah.
[00:35:10] Like very bad stereotyping.
[00:35:13] There's one guy that's very much an indigenous person in Oh My.
[00:35:16] Yeah.
[00:35:17] Well, even the Scottish fan.
[00:35:19] You mean the only reason anyone remembers this game?
[00:35:22] Fuck yeah.
[00:35:24] I mean, he was a great time.
[00:35:25] Angus.
[00:35:26] He shoots fireballs out of his dick.
[00:35:28] It's the greatest thing ever.
[00:35:29] Yeah, but we couldn't figure out how to use the power up any of the special moves.
[00:35:34] Well, yeah, because the fucking controls are stupid.
[00:35:37] I also love like the blood.
[00:35:39] Like that just doesn't even make any sense.
[00:35:41] Like there's so much blood everywhere.
[00:35:43] Massive.
[00:35:44] The fucking gore levels are like a little bit of blood.
[00:35:47] Like blood fest, gore fest.
[00:35:50] Like in the like murder.
[00:35:51] And it was like the dumbest fucking shit.
[00:35:53] And then the best part too is like once you finally finish picking your characters, then
[00:35:58] you have to pick the level.
[00:35:59] And it's literally the same thing.
[00:36:01] You just scroll.
[00:36:02] You have to walk around this ugly.
[00:36:04] Like I was like, I don't even know what the fuck this is.
[00:36:06] And then I clicked and I was like, oh, I guess it was the Scottish villa.
[00:36:10] I guess it's a bar.
[00:36:11] Like.
[00:36:13] It's not a good game.
[00:36:14] It's a great game.
[00:36:15] It's a great game.
[00:36:16] I had a lot of fun.
[00:36:17] I beat Bill every time playing it, which also made it better.
[00:36:20] I'd rather play Way of the Warrior.
[00:36:24] Get out of my podcast.
[00:36:27] Wait, is it on the Jaguar?
[00:36:28] No, that's the 3DO1.
[00:36:30] Get out of my podcast.
[00:36:31] You're banned.
[00:36:32] This is a very Jaguar Christmas.
[00:36:34] We're only talking about non-Jaguar slander.
[00:36:38] If you're going to slander the Jaguar, get the fuck out.
[00:36:42] I didn't say the Jaguar was bad.
[00:36:43] I just said that game is not very good.
[00:36:45] It's a great game.
[00:36:46] I had a great time.
[00:36:48] I won every time, which always makes me happier too.
[00:36:52] Because I'm just better at fighters than Bill.
[00:36:54] You're better at shit fighters.
[00:36:57] Yeah, I don't know why I'm really good at shitty fighting games.
[00:37:01] I don't know.
[00:37:02] It's a talent of mine.
[00:37:03] It's my secret talent.
[00:37:04] If anyone wants to challenge me, don't.
[00:37:06] I'm afraid of losing.
[00:37:08] But I can beat Bill.
[00:37:09] We did actually play a game that actually drove Alex mad.
[00:37:16] We did?
[00:37:17] Yeah, the one Jaguar game where you were like,
[00:37:20] all right, not everything is perfect on the system.
[00:37:23] No, I don't believe that.
[00:37:24] What game was it?
[00:37:26] A little game called Club Drive.
[00:37:29] No, no, I would never say that.
[00:37:31] The why was your exact response like,
[00:37:33] I hate this game.
[00:37:34] No, no, no.
[00:37:35] I was exaggerating.
[00:37:36] It's a great time.
[00:37:38] You know, the camera could be a little better.
[00:37:41] But other than that, it was a great time.
[00:37:43] I never said that.
[00:37:44] Stop putting slander in my mouth.
[00:37:46] Club Drive is probably one of like the dumbest racers ever made.
[00:37:49] Like there's a point.
[00:37:51] I think I swear to God, one of the songs is just a fucking no doubt song.
[00:37:56] I didn't really hear it, but I'll believe you.
[00:38:03] Anyways, it's from the Rocksteady album.
[00:38:05] That's all I can tell you.
[00:38:09] Well, there's only four locations, right?
[00:38:13] Yeah.
[00:38:13] There's four locations, but you can do different types of racing,
[00:38:16] which in concept, you know, that actually seems like a good idea
[00:38:19] for making up for the fact that there's not as many.
[00:38:21] You have different type of racings, but my God.
[00:38:27] It's a great game.
[00:38:28] It's a great game.
[00:38:29] That's all I'll say.
[00:38:31] It's just such a, you play as like toy cars.
[00:38:36] Like they look like cyber trucks going around.
[00:38:39] Yeah, they do.
[00:38:41] We saw two of them today.
[00:38:42] Yeah, we did.
[00:38:43] These very bizarre like levels.
[00:38:46] Like one of them is literally this guy's room.
[00:38:48] Another is a parking garage.
[00:38:50] Like there's like this desert level and all of them are awful.
[00:38:54] They all look beautiful.
[00:38:56] My favorite is the rate because there's like a couple of gameplay modes.
[00:39:00] There's like the collect a bunch of the items,
[00:39:02] which are like these little like rainbow balls of madness.
[00:39:05] And there's also the race levels where it's like,
[00:39:11] all right, do a number of laps.
[00:39:12] Oh, and by the way, the tracks, we don't line them up.
[00:39:15] We don't really give you any sort of markers.
[00:39:18] You just kind of like.
[00:39:19] There was no map either, right?
[00:39:22] No.
[00:39:23] Or was there?
[00:39:24] There was no.
[00:39:25] Well, there kind of was a map.
[00:39:26] Oh, yeah, there was, but it didn't really make sense.
[00:39:30] No, especially with the game's controls.
[00:39:32] But also like.
[00:39:33] I mean, it made a lot of sense.
[00:39:35] The way that it would tell you how to like how the race tracks were set up.
[00:39:40] It would be like, here's the start and here's the finish.
[00:39:43] Now do four laps.
[00:39:44] And it's like, what's a lap?
[00:39:47] No, no.
[00:39:47] It was very clear.
[00:39:49] No, it was not.
[00:39:51] You weren't on my level.
[00:39:52] We drove.
[00:39:53] Alex, I won every race because you couldn't figure out where the tracks.
[00:39:57] I'm just not good at racing games.
[00:39:59] That's the real problem.
[00:40:00] I'm not good at them.
[00:40:02] That's why I didn't win.
[00:40:03] I'm just not good at racing.
[00:40:04] It's a great game.
[00:40:05] I think you're just, you're lying to cope.
[00:40:08] You're lying to cope that the Jaguar is superior.
[00:40:14] It's better than the 3DL.
[00:40:16] Let's go with that.
[00:40:20] You're kind of in like a, the light is blocking your face.
[00:40:23] Oh, you're back.
[00:40:25] How was your trip into the light?
[00:40:28] Did you see Jesus?
[00:40:29] Did you do the math?
[00:40:31] Do the math?
[00:40:32] Do the math?
[00:40:33] What?
[00:40:34] Do the math.
[00:40:35] 64 bits?
[00:40:36] Fuck yeah, I did.
[00:40:41] Yeah, we attempted.
[00:40:43] Hey, could you hear that thumb?
[00:40:45] Yes.
[00:40:45] All right.
[00:40:46] That's our new, like, that's our new conversation changer.
[00:40:48] You should grab, when you want to change the conversation, you grab it.
[00:40:50] And you don't know what to do.
[00:40:53] We did, we, so we played Club Drive and then we moved on to Raiden.
[00:40:57] And Raiden is actually a fun game.
[00:41:00] Raiden?
[00:41:01] How do you spell that?
[00:41:02] It's the shoot-em-up game.
[00:41:08] Raiden?
[00:41:09] Like, Raiden?
[00:41:10] Raiden.
[00:41:12] Raiden.
[00:41:13] Raiden.
[00:41:13] Or whatever.
[00:41:14] Oh, okay.
[00:41:15] That makes more sense.
[00:41:16] The shoot-em-up.
[00:41:19] Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:41:20] Where you're on, like, a track and you go pew, pew, pew, pew, pew, pew.
[00:41:22] Yeah, it's a typical arcade shooter, but we played that.
[00:41:25] Alex actually made it to, like, level five this time.
[00:41:27] I did.
[00:41:28] I think the first time we played that, I only made it to, like, level one.
[00:41:31] Yeah.
[00:41:32] Because you just would run into everything and die and never, because you can't, you wouldn't shoot anything.
[00:41:37] You'd just fly around.
[00:41:38] The problem with those games, for me, is that I get distracted by things on the screen.
[00:41:44] And I just constantly think that I am the other person when I'm not.
[00:41:48] So, I struggle with games.
[00:41:50] And I think that's why I struggle with the race games, too.
[00:41:52] Because when the screen is split, I, like, lose all my sense of focus.
[00:41:55] And I don't know what to look at.
[00:41:57] Yeah.
[00:42:00] We, um...
[00:42:01] We played that, though.
[00:42:02] That was probably the funnest game we played of the bunch.
[00:42:04] Because we didn't really...
[00:42:05] Oh, we were talking about it.
[00:42:06] All of them were fun.
[00:42:07] Yeah, yeah, whatever.
[00:42:08] That's not what you said at the time.
[00:42:10] No.
[00:42:10] I would never say anything bad about my good friend the Jaguar.
[00:42:15] We also played that Supercross 3D game, which was...
[00:42:21] The only thing you remember from it is the fact that all the characters had dump trucks.
[00:42:25] Oh, yeah.
[00:42:26] That was awesome.
[00:42:28] That game also wasn't very good, because, like, the track...
[00:42:31] That game was great!
[00:42:32] The track layouts were so bad.
[00:42:34] I...
[00:42:35] Yeah, but, no, you were just distracted by that ass.
[00:42:39] That's the real reason.
[00:42:40] Don't worry.
[00:42:40] It was a little mesmerizing, like...
[00:42:43] Yeah.
[00:42:44] Like, why is it so defined?
[00:42:45] It's just, like, why did they define the cheeks so much?
[00:42:47] Like, that's the real thing.
[00:42:48] It's, like...
[00:42:50] They were all...
[00:42:50] Well, the only one...
[00:42:51] There was only one that wasn't double-cheeked up.
[00:42:53] And that was just because of the coloring.
[00:42:55] Well, the whole reason that game wasn't particularly fun is just because they didn't really, like...
[00:43:00] The physics weren't very good.
[00:43:01] Like, there wasn't really any physics.
[00:43:04] It also wasn't multiplayer, which was lame.
[00:43:06] It has had physics.
[00:43:07] Not really.
[00:43:08] That thing was, like, stiff as a board.
[00:43:11] Yeah, but why was it so defined?
[00:43:13] Like, someone spent their time making sure that crack was there.
[00:43:19] Yeah.
[00:43:19] Why did they double-cheek them up?
[00:43:21] Yeah, we didn't play that one very long, though, because we kind of got tired of the...
[00:43:25] Well, we were just too busy looking at the ass.
[00:43:27] That's the real truth.
[00:43:28] It was bizarre.
[00:43:29] And then we played that snowboarding game.
[00:43:32] Which, honestly, that one was pretty fun.
[00:43:36] It was interesting.
[00:43:38] Like, I feel like...
[00:43:39] Unfortunately, I'm terrible at those kind of games.
[00:43:41] And the time limit was so unforgiving.
[00:43:43] Well, I think the thing is, it's probably one of those games that...
[00:43:47] It probably actually did very well for the time.
[00:43:49] Because it's one of those games that you probably have to play and play and play and play.
[00:43:51] It was a Jaguar game.
[00:43:53] It didn't do well.
[00:43:56] Shut the fuck up!
[00:43:57] No, I'm just kidding.
[00:44:00] No, it was probably one of those ones where you just kept playing it.
[00:44:03] And then eventually, like, as you were doing it, like, you'd, like, figure out,
[00:44:07] okay, I need to go this way, that way, that way, this way, this way, up and down, up and down.
[00:44:10] What I loved is, like, the whole gimmick of that game is it's a snowboarding game.
[00:44:13] And, like, you'd go down this, like, mountain course.
[00:44:16] And the way it would work is, like, you'd have to get through checkpoints.
[00:44:21] But you'd feel like you went so far.
[00:44:23] And then, like, once you failed, it would show you your progress.
[00:44:28] And you would literally be like, you went this far.
[00:44:31] And it's, like, barely anywhere.
[00:44:32] And I'd be like, what the fuck?
[00:44:33] I'm like, okay.
[00:44:34] Well, the best part is, like, the first time we were playing it, like, you get...
[00:44:39] Like, it says checkpoint, and you're like, oh, yeah.
[00:44:40] And then you just completely missed the checkpoint.
[00:44:42] And you're like, fuck!
[00:44:43] If you missed the checkpoint, you don't get the time reset.
[00:44:45] So you're basically fucked.
[00:44:47] The best was, like, Alex, like, had been trying so hard.
[00:44:50] And she finally made it to the first checkpoint.
[00:44:52] And she missed it.
[00:44:53] And you were so just distraught.
[00:44:56] Oh, no!
[00:44:56] But it faked me out.
[00:44:57] Because I swear, I went through that checkpoint.
[00:45:00] And it just said, nope, you didn't go through it.
[00:45:02] No, you hit the edge of it.
[00:45:08] I know what I saw!
[00:45:10] The controls actually were pretty good, though.
[00:45:13] Like, it was pretty quick.
[00:45:15] It was very smooth.
[00:45:15] I'll give it that.
[00:45:17] Yeah.
[00:45:17] And it wasn't like you were, like, struggling to move.
[00:45:20] Like, it was actually...
[00:45:21] I do feel like if you played it more and more and more, it would get easier.
[00:45:24] And you would be able to figure it out.
[00:45:26] It would just take some adjustment.
[00:45:27] I will say, though, the animation...
[00:45:28] So there was also skiing.
[00:45:29] And the animation for the skiing guy is the most wholesome, funny thing ever.
[00:45:33] Yeah, he was, like, doing this, like, ha-cha-cha-ha-cha-cha dance the whole way.
[00:45:37] Well, it was, like, the beginning, like, when he would, like, kind of do his...
[00:45:41] Like, you know, I don't really know skiing terms, but, like, to start moving.
[00:45:44] This looks like I'm swimming.
[00:45:46] Swimmy, swimmy, swimmy, swimmy, swimmy, swimmy.
[00:45:48] Oh.
[00:45:49] Yeah, he'd do, like, ha-cha-cha-ha-cha-cha-cha-cha-cha.
[00:45:52] It was pretty good.
[00:45:54] It was pretty good.
[00:45:55] Yeah.
[00:45:55] Yeah, it was fun.
[00:45:56] We played a whole bunch of Jaguar, though.
[00:45:58] The Jaguar is...
[00:46:00] Aesthetically, I still think it's a good-looking console.
[00:46:02] Yeah, especially when you had that turn late.
[00:46:05] And the controller is much better than people give it credit for.
[00:46:09] It's pretty comfy.
[00:46:10] Because we played another console after, and Bill gave me the shitty controller of it,
[00:46:14] and my hands fucking hurt after playing that.
[00:46:17] But the Jaguar, my hands were nice and comfortable.
[00:46:20] It's a great controller.
[00:46:23] And all of those number key pads, they mean something, okay?
[00:46:27] They are useful.
[00:46:28] Except they don't do shit in half the game.
[00:46:31] You used them in the club drive.
[00:46:34] Yeah, in the most confusing camera.
[00:46:37] Well, you needed the overlay.
[00:46:39] You didn't have the overlay.
[00:46:40] You had the overlay.
[00:46:41] Yeah, but that could have all been, like, one button.
[00:46:43] That did not need to be, like, seven buttons.
[00:46:45] You have the options.
[00:46:47] Why not use them all?
[00:46:49] Stop slandering the Jaguar.
[00:46:51] Because it's unnecessary.
[00:46:53] It is very necessary.
[00:46:56] Get out of my podcast.
[00:46:58] Get out.
[00:46:59] I'm taking over.
[00:47:01] Alex Gaming and Collecting Podcast, where Bill is no longer allowed.
[00:47:05] Get out.
[00:47:06] I'm going to mute you.
[00:47:08] How do I mute you?
[00:47:09] How?
[00:47:10] You can't.
[00:47:11] Fuck you.
[00:47:11] Why not?
[00:47:12] Why can't I mute you?
[00:47:13] Because I'm in control.
[00:47:15] Can I borrow the password?
[00:47:17] No.
[00:47:18] Please?
[00:47:18] No.
[00:47:19] Please?
[00:47:24] But I can mute you.
[00:47:28] She looks so sad.
[00:47:35] No one buys your fake crocodile.
[00:47:39] They are not fake.
[00:47:42] Did you just?
[00:47:43] That wasn't a cry.
[00:47:44] That was something else.
[00:47:46] No.
[00:47:47] No.
[00:47:48] I want to always, like, you know what?
[00:47:53] I will say.
[00:47:54] So we played the N64 not that long ago.
[00:47:57] We revisited it.
[00:47:59] Bill made me with a new controller.
[00:48:01] And after playing the Jaguar again, I can say, the Jaguar is still a much better console than the N64.
[00:48:09] You're never going to win this battle.
[00:48:10] It sucks.
[00:48:12] I always have a great time playing the Jaguar.
[00:48:17] Do you hear that thumping?
[00:48:19] Except for Club Drive.
[00:48:20] You were legit complaining about Club Drive.
[00:48:22] You know what?
[00:48:22] It was fun.
[00:48:23] It was a little.
[00:48:24] No.
[00:48:25] No.
[00:48:25] You heard wrong.
[00:48:26] I loved it.
[00:48:27] I loved every second of it.
[00:48:28] Don't try and slander me.
[00:48:32] Atari Jaguar is just a superior console.
[00:48:34] Anyone who thinks the N64 is better is suffering from a thing called Stockholm syndrome.
[00:48:41] You think it's good, but it's not.
[00:48:43] You're just telling yourself it is.
[00:48:45] Play the Jaguar and have a good time.
[00:48:48] And there's a little Jaguar waifu now.
[00:48:51] So, like, it's even another reason to play the Jaguar.
[00:48:54] Will she be in the thumbnail?
[00:48:57] Somebody just commented on one of my Instagram posts saying,
[00:49:00] The S in PS stands for spank.
[00:49:05] What?
[00:49:06] Wait, what?
[00:49:08] Like, so play spanking?
[00:49:10] Is that what's supposed to?
[00:49:16] Was it a PlayStation game?
[00:49:20] I don't know.
[00:49:21] I've got to have to check that later because what?
[00:49:25] Oh.
[00:49:26] Oh.
[00:49:27] The viewers need to see this, too.
[00:49:29] Guess what else we got?
[00:49:31] I don't know if you got one, too, but guess what I got for Christmas?
[00:49:36] What?
[00:49:39] Oh, yeah.
[00:49:39] Cracker Barrel!
[00:49:40] You got one, too?
[00:49:42] Yeah.
[00:49:42] Yay!
[00:49:43] Cracker Barrel!
[00:49:44] I can't wait to go.
[00:49:46] We're so New England.
[00:49:46] Well, it's not even a New England thing.
[00:49:48] It's just a breakfast thing.
[00:49:50] I fucking love the Cracker Barrel.
[00:49:51] If they continue with that stupid basic bitch modern redesign, I'm going to be pissed.
[00:49:57] I go there for the country store aesthetic.
[00:50:00] If they want to kill their business, they'll do it.
[00:50:02] It's not the same.
[00:50:04] I want the walls covered in junk.
[00:50:06] That's why I go there.
[00:50:07] The majority of people don't go to Cracker Barrel because the food's great.
[00:50:11] They go because they like the atmosphere.
[00:50:13] It's the experience.
[00:50:15] The waiters and waitresses are always so nice.
[00:50:18] How are they going to corporatize the building but then have the store, which is like the legit part of the reason people go there?
[00:50:25] It's a country store.
[00:50:27] Like, it's...
[00:50:28] You better stop.
[00:50:30] You better stop it.
[00:50:31] I have stock in Cracker Barrel.
[00:50:32] This corporate...
[00:50:33] This corporatization of fucking businesses needs to stop.
[00:50:37] They killed the Christmas tree shop.
[00:50:38] They made it sound like an STD.
[00:50:41] Yeah, CTS.
[00:50:42] Yeah.
[00:50:43] I'm going CTS later.
[00:50:45] What?
[00:50:46] I don't know if I want to do that.
[00:50:49] I think they corporate...
[00:50:50] I mean, they weren't doing well to begin with.
[00:50:52] They think they legitimately corporatized themselves out of business.
[00:50:57] Well, a lot of them are...
[00:50:58] I saw, like, an article.
[00:50:59] There's a ton of them going out of it.
[00:51:01] Yeah.
[00:51:01] CTS.
[00:51:03] And just why?
[00:51:04] Like, the Christmas tree shop logo was so nice.
[00:51:08] The whole gimmick was nice even though it was kind of a dying friend.
[00:51:12] I mean, like, I won't lie.
[00:51:13] A lot of the stuff there was crap.
[00:51:15] Like, it wasn't like a great...
[00:51:17] It wasn't like you were going there for quality products.
[00:51:20] You were going there for cheap junk before the beach.
[00:51:23] You know?
[00:51:24] That's kind of what it was.
[00:51:26] But, you know, I still like the experience.
[00:51:29] It was a great place.
[00:51:31] And they ruined it by making it sound...
[00:51:33] It didn't even look like a...
[00:51:35] CTS.
[00:51:35] It really does look like a clinic.
[00:51:38] Yeah.
[00:51:39] Like, it doesn't even...
[00:51:39] Like, the branding and stuff.
[00:51:41] Like, why were they thinking?
[00:51:42] What were they thinking?
[00:51:44] You asked earlier if I put the jaguar waifu in the thumbnail.
[00:51:48] Yes.
[00:51:49] I did.
[00:51:50] Good.
[00:51:51] Good, good, good.
[00:51:52] Her name is Jaga.
[00:51:54] Jaga.
[00:51:56] She's one of the failure goddesses.
[00:51:58] Yes.
[00:52:00] So, Phil.
[00:52:02] Well, this will be the last...
[00:52:05] Well, this will be one of the last podcasts before the new...
[00:52:07] Well, the last one we're recording before the new year, correct?
[00:52:10] Yes.
[00:52:11] Do you have any New Year's resolutions?
[00:52:15] Or any, at least, like, maybe plans for, like...
[00:52:18] Not maybe the podcast, maybe your other podcast,
[00:52:20] but also maybe, like, other gaming stuff in general.
[00:52:23] If you're gonna...
[00:52:24] I know you were revering the other day.
[00:52:27] I want to stream more, potentially.
[00:52:31] I also maybe want...
[00:52:33] I also want to...
[00:52:34] I actually want to play more games this year,
[00:52:35] because I really did not play that many games this year.
[00:52:38] Me neither.
[00:52:39] I was mostly playing anime, watching anime,
[00:52:41] reading comics, reading books.
[00:52:43] I did play games, but I didn't really finish any.
[00:52:45] That was kind of my thing.
[00:52:46] I want to actually complete more games.
[00:52:51] There's that.
[00:52:51] I got a lot of stuff going on off podcasts
[00:52:54] that I got to deal with right now.
[00:52:56] That's kind of been the...
[00:52:57] This whole year's been kind of just on the damper, unfortunately.
[00:53:02] It's tough.
[00:53:03] I think it's been a tough year for a lot of people.
[00:53:05] You know, I'm with you on some of those things as well.
[00:53:08] So, it's tough.
[00:53:10] But I have a feeling that next year's gonna be better.
[00:53:13] I hope so, even though, like, every year we say
[00:53:16] next year's gonna be better, and it always seems to get worse.
[00:53:21] Yeah.
[00:53:21] That's how life is, unfortunately.
[00:53:26] Well, you gotta be positive.
[00:53:28] The Jaguar exists, Bill.
[00:53:29] You gotta be positive.
[00:53:30] Do the math, bitch.
[00:53:32] Yeah, do the math!
[00:53:33] It's great!
[00:53:36] Genesis is 16-bit.
[00:53:37] The 3DO is 32-bit.
[00:53:38] How many bits is the Jaguar?
[00:53:42] Did you repeat the question?
[00:53:44] A hundred.
[00:53:44] A hundred bits.
[00:53:45] Those ads were so bad, though.
[00:53:48] What are you talking about?
[00:53:50] They were.
[00:53:52] No!
[00:53:52] The only reason anyone remembers them is because they're bad.
[00:53:57] No.
[00:53:57] They were great.
[00:53:59] What are you talking about?
[00:53:59] The do-the math slogan didn't even make sense.
[00:54:02] No, it made so much sense.
[00:54:04] It made a lot of sense, Bill.
[00:54:06] You're just not on the same level as I am.
[00:54:09] You need to just accept that the shitty console you like wasn't good, but you still can like it for the fact that it was what it was.
[00:54:17] Get out!
[00:54:18] It is a great console!
[00:54:21] I love the 3DO, and I will admit it.
[00:54:23] It's a fox!
[00:54:24] It has little Jaguar eyes.
[00:54:25] They're like, come on.
[00:54:26] Come and find me.
[00:54:27] I'm a great console!
[00:54:29] I like the Jaguar.
[00:54:31] I'm just saying.
[00:54:31] It wasn't that great.
[00:54:33] I mean, I love the 3DO, and 3DO has a lot of problems.
[00:54:38] Excuse me?
[00:54:40] Did you just say that Jaguar was not great?
[00:54:43] It was more than good.
[00:54:45] It's more than great!
[00:54:47] Tony's dagger can fuck off!
[00:54:49] It's wonderful!
[00:54:51] And his stupid YouTube ads, he can leave.
[00:54:55] What are you talking-
[00:54:56] The Jaguar is amazing.
[00:54:58] The Jaguar is an amazing console.
[00:55:01] And you just can't accept it, because you're too stuck on the 3DO, which-
[00:55:06] We played a 3DO game.
[00:55:07] It was-
[00:55:08] 3DO's not that great.
[00:55:09] The Jaguar is superior.
[00:55:11] The Jaguar is superior.
[00:55:16] Everyone can try and convince me that the Jaguar sucks, but they're not gonna win.
[00:55:20] The N64 sucks.
[00:55:22] I played it again, and it still sucks.
[00:55:24] Even with a normal-ass controller.
[00:55:27] Without an awkward third thing.
[00:55:29] You know what the N64 needed?
[00:55:31] A keypad.
[00:55:32] It really needed that keypad, and it would've been a great console.
[00:55:36] Just kidding.
[00:55:37] It sucks too much.
[00:55:38] It's not on the Jaguar level.
[00:55:41] Have I been muted this whole time?
[00:55:42] Is that why you're not talking?
[00:55:44] No.
[00:55:45] No.
[00:55:46] I had music playing in the background.
[00:55:47] I was gonna end that by saying,
[00:55:49] And that was your TED Talk for today.
[00:55:50] Wait.
[00:55:51] What music was playing?
[00:55:53] You'll hear it on the repeat.
[00:55:54] Was it clown music?
[00:55:56] No.
[00:55:56] I'm gonna laugh when none of that works.
[00:55:58] And the only time it did work, it won't work.
[00:56:01] But yeah.
[00:56:02] That was an episode.
[00:56:04] We had a good Christmas.
[00:56:06] A very Jaguar Christmas, indeed.
[00:56:09] But yeah.
[00:56:10] Once again, guys.
[00:56:11] Wait.
[00:56:12] Thank you for that.
[00:56:12] Thank all the viewers.
[00:56:14] And wish them a happy holiday season.
[00:56:17] We still have one more.
[00:56:18] And then we'll see them next year.
[00:56:21] Except we will see them in a week.
[00:56:23] Because we got one more episode this.
[00:56:26] Wait.
[00:56:26] I thought.
[00:56:27] So when does this come out?
[00:56:28] Wait.
[00:56:28] When does the other one come out?
[00:56:30] This is the last technical one of the year.
[00:56:32] But we have one more podcast in season four.
[00:56:35] Yeah.
[00:56:35] So after the next one, we'll see them next year.
[00:56:39] And next season.
[00:56:41] You're just confusing the viewers now.
[00:56:43] It's not that deep.
[00:56:43] It's my job.
[00:56:45] I'm trying to stretch it out so we can get to an hour, Bill.
[00:56:48] I'm trying to stretch it out.
[00:56:51] Bill, wait.
[00:56:52] Stress ball time.
[00:56:54] Get your stress ball.
[00:56:56] Get your stress ball, Bill.
[00:56:57] Get your stress ball.
[00:56:58] The viewers want to see the stress ball.
[00:57:01] Oh, keep it going.
[00:57:06] Bill, where's your stress ball?
[00:57:10] Can you make a stress ball song?
[00:57:14] I can't wait till you break this one, too.
[00:57:16] No, I won't.
[00:57:18] Well, I'll steal yours.
[00:57:19] If I break this one, I'll break it to your house and steal yours.
[00:57:22] Just give the viewers it one more time.
[00:57:24] One more time.
[00:57:25] Show them your stress ball.
[00:57:27] Show them the...
[00:57:28] Show your stress...
[00:57:31] Potential spam is calling me right now.
[00:57:34] I don't care.
[00:57:35] Show the fucking stress ball.
[00:57:37] Wait.
[00:57:37] Answer it live.
[00:57:38] No.
[00:57:39] I know.
[00:57:40] Because it's probably a fucking robocall and I'm not giving it the time of day.
[00:57:44] Come on.
[00:57:45] Show the stress ball.
[00:57:47] Show the stress ball.
