[00:00:00] Hey guys, on this episode of Gaming Collecting, we're going to be revisiting our annual

[00:00:04] series where we look at my most valuable games in my video game collection. Trying to see

[00:00:08] what has changed, what has shifted around, how prices fluctuated and all the things

[00:00:12] in between. It's kind of fascinating how some games just get more valuable, others drop,

[00:00:16] some of them change during the, during the making of this episode. Let's see how it goes

[00:00:20] on this episode of Gaming Collecting.

[00:00:45] So, how you been?

[00:00:48] I did a lot today. I got a lot of shit done today Bill. Guess what I did today?

[00:00:54] You went off on an adventure.

[00:00:56] No, I didn't leave my house at all.

[00:01:01] But I didn't want an adventure.

[00:01:04] Yeah, it is. Well, I was cooking. I cooked for like three hours today.

[00:01:11] Because I was meal-packing for the week.

[00:01:14] And then I had bananas that like we're getting like to that gross banana phase.

[00:01:20] So, I made banana bread.

[00:01:22] But I made chocolate chip banana bread because obviously if you're going to make banana

[00:01:27] bread just add some chocolate chips to it because it makes them more delicious.

[00:01:30] So, I made banana bread and then I meal prep my dinners in my breakfasts and

[00:01:35] says this is for next week.

[00:01:39] Good for you.

[00:01:40] I did a lot and I worked out today.

[00:01:42] And I went, I did go to the adventure yesterday.

[00:01:47] I went shopping with my friend.

[00:01:50] I bought a blanket for my couch. It's purple with check marks and I like it.

[00:01:57] I mean checkered pattern, checkered board pattern and I like it.

[00:02:01] I like it.

[00:02:03] If you're going to say the blanket is verified.

[00:02:06] No, it's not.

[00:02:08] I'm talking like this because you're just insane.

[00:02:13] We've already been open.

[00:02:14] I don't know what I'm feeling because I did a lot when I finally sat down all the tiredness

[00:02:20] hit me.

[00:02:21] Oh, also I cut onions.

[00:02:23] If anyone on our discord server knows how to cut onions without crying, please let me know

[00:02:30] because every time I got them, I cry because my eyes burn.

[00:02:34] And I don't know what I'm doing wrong because I see chefs like Gordon Ramsey.

[00:02:39] I was watching a lot of kitchen nightmares this weekend too.

[00:02:42] And I see him cut onions and they're not crying.

[00:02:44] So what am I doing wrong?

[00:02:45] Why am I crying?

[00:02:47] Gordon Ramsey doesn't feel.

[00:02:49] My eyes are still burning from it.

[00:02:51] Gordon Ramsey doesn't feel.

[00:02:53] That's just the secret.

[00:02:56] He feels his eyes water.

[00:02:58] And he just like, wait, like he just goes back into his eyes.

[00:03:02] It's watching.

[00:03:05] He's like not today.

[00:03:08] I also like watching like kitchen nightmares in hotel hell.

[00:03:11] It makes you realize like just how gross kitchens can be and like how you don't know what you're like.

[00:03:17] And if the food is bad, it's most likely because they're gross.

[00:03:22] The restaurant is gross.

[00:03:24] Yes.

[00:03:26] I worked yesterday.

[00:03:28] You did.

[00:03:29] I saw your car wasn't there.

[00:03:31] Yep.

[00:03:32] Get old six hours.

[00:03:34] Probably only worked about three of them realistically though.

[00:03:38] Yeah, well they deserve it.

[00:03:43] They deserve it.

[00:03:45] Well, I went in this weekend so I won't have to go in next weekend.

[00:03:49] Yeah, because next weekend.

[00:03:51] Guess what Thursday is, Bill?

[00:03:55] Alex turns six or seven at this point.

[00:03:58] Seven.

[00:04:00] I will be seven years old.

[00:04:03] Oh my god, I'm the youngest gaming podcaster there ever won.

[00:04:08] I'm going to be seven.

[00:04:12] That must be nice.

[00:04:15] Seven, eight, eight, twenty nine, twenty eight.

[00:04:18] Yeah, twenty eight.

[00:04:20] Twenty nine.

[00:04:21] Yeah, I know.

[00:04:22] Did you see that tick-tock?

[00:04:23] I said no, that real I sent you of like the SpongeBob running.

[00:04:28] Yes.

[00:04:29] It's going next week.

[00:04:32] There you go.

[00:04:35] I know.

[00:04:36] Yeah, but I'm taking next weekend off regardless of what they say so.

[00:04:41] Yeah, just tell them that like it's my sister's birthday.

[00:04:44] So get the book out.

[00:04:47] Yeah, that'll go over well.

[00:04:50] Yeah, just do it.

[00:04:53] I clicked on say okay, I'm good.

[00:04:56] Just don't let me get loose.

[00:05:01] I don't know.

[00:05:03] Did you see the live action avatar came out?

[00:05:06] Yeah, I've been seeing a lot of memes about it not being very good.

[00:05:10] It's weird.

[00:05:11] I'm seeing a lot of.

[00:05:13] I've heard it.

[00:05:14] I've heard a lot of people saying it's not very good.

[00:05:17] I've also heard a lot of people saying it's not.

[00:05:20] It's not as bad as people say, but it's still not very good so.

[00:05:24] Yeah, I think the general consensus.

[00:05:26] I mean, wasn't it?

[00:05:27] I think you were telling me that like or I saw it somewhere.

[00:05:30] So you said or saw it somewhere that like the team like was like the original

[00:05:36] avatar team was originally on board and then they just like they stepped off

[00:05:41] and walked into the project.

[00:05:44] Well, they've made so many like unnecessary changes like they.

[00:05:49] One of the big ones was they removed all of Sockas like sexist like moments

[00:05:53] towards the beginning of the series.

[00:05:55] You know, basically just getting rid of all of his character development

[00:05:58] because.

[00:06:01] Reasons.

[00:06:03] Yeah.

[00:06:04] And it completely made like the key or she warriors just pointless

[00:06:08] because that's where all of his development comes from.

[00:06:11] Yeah, it's the whole point of that episode was they were supposed to like beat him down

[00:06:16] for being an idiot and then he like learns his lessons.

[00:06:19] Yeah, it's like it's like an actual like you know character growth.

[00:06:22] That's that's a thing.

[00:06:24] They also got rid of angst like kiddish thing like I get this.

[00:06:28] I haven't watched it.

[00:06:29] This is just what I've heard.

[00:06:30] They got rid of like angst like more kid like natures and they've just made

[00:06:33] them extra serious all the time.

[00:06:34] And it's like yeah, I just killed point of the character right there.

[00:06:37] I saw it too.

[00:06:38] Like people were complaining that like he was just flying on his own rather than using

[00:06:42] his glider.

[00:06:43] People were upset about that and I was like yeah, I guess.

[00:06:47] I've heard the casting choices were pretty good but other than that.

[00:06:50] And I guess like the Tara is just completely like a board doesn't do anything.

[00:06:56] Yeah, she's like they've ruined the Sakura.

[00:06:59] She the Sakura.

[00:07:00] Maybe the Sakura did more.

[00:07:02] Oh god.

[00:07:03] Well, I'm probably not going to watch it.

[00:07:05] You there.

[00:07:06] I just kind of don't have any interest in watching it but didn't have much to be

[00:07:10] get you know what I've realized kind of like with all of these live actions that have

[00:07:14] been coming out.

[00:07:15] What?

[00:07:16] I think I just prefer animation.

[00:07:18] Yeah, I mean there's some that like there's obviously some that are better than

[00:07:23] others.

[00:07:24] I mean the one piece one is excellent.

[00:07:26] But you know, then there's some that you're just like why this is terrible.

[00:07:31] I mean like the only good one I've really watched is like the Roroni Kenshin movies.

[00:07:37] And that's like one out of like million.

[00:07:41] Yeah, when you watch the one piece live action, you'll understand that that one was also great.

[00:07:46] The Netflix death note movie was amazing not because it was good.

[00:07:50] It was a fucking.

[00:07:51] It was one of those ones.

[00:07:53] It's so bad.

[00:07:54] It's so good.

[00:07:55] It's just it's like they missed the point so hard.

[00:08:01] But at the same time it's amazing how are they missed it?

[00:08:05] Yeah.

[00:08:06] Oh, you know what I watched this weekend too.

[00:08:10] I watched season three of a shield hero.

[00:08:15] And I got to say I'm not feeling it.

[00:08:19] No, I wasn't feeling it because like I just felt like the plot was kind of stupid.

[00:08:24] Like what was happening.

[00:08:27] I don't want to spoil it because I think you should still watch it.

[00:08:30] But I'm like watching and I'm like,

[00:08:32] these characters are fucking idiots.

[00:08:34] Like I'm like this is literally something that happened before.

[00:08:38] And you all watched it happen.

[00:08:39] You're surprised it's happening again.

[00:08:42] Like, I mean, I guess it's like another words.

[00:08:45] It's like season one really was the best.

[00:08:47] And it's just kind of been downhill ever since.

[00:08:50] I think season two, like once you got past the turtle arc,

[00:08:54] it's season two got better.

[00:08:55] But season three is just like.

[00:08:57] Yeah, only good thing about season three is the killer whale lady.

[00:09:02] She is wonderful.

[00:09:04] What she.

[00:09:05] I've heard of her.

[00:09:06] I've heard of her.

[00:09:07] Oh my god.

[00:09:08] I've seen the memes.

[00:09:10] I've seen the memes that.

[00:09:12] That's the best part but I'm not.

[00:09:14] I just was like, I don't know.

[00:09:15] I think you'll get it once you watch it.

[00:09:17] But I don't want to spoil it because I think you should watch it.

[00:09:20] But I don't know.

[00:09:21] It was just like,

[00:09:22] it was taking these characters that you already kind of hated

[00:09:25] and trying to redeem them but also not at the same time

[00:09:29] and make you feel bad for them.

[00:09:30] But you didn't because you were just like,

[00:09:32] these people are fucking dumb.

[00:09:33] Like,

[00:09:34] I don't know.

[00:09:35] It's just like,

[00:09:36] I just.

[00:09:37] I don't know.

[00:09:38] I'm probably going to watch the next season because I'm just like,

[00:09:41] I'm invested in the show now and I have to.

[00:09:44] But like, yeah.

[00:09:45] Season three I was like.

[00:09:47] Not impressed.

[00:09:50] Yeah.

[00:09:51] No, I get that.

[00:09:54] Makes me think season two is a lot better though.

[00:09:58] Oh really?

[00:09:59] Okay.

[00:10:00] So you're in like the minority there because most people.

[00:10:03] A lot of people like really hate season two for whatever reason.

[00:10:07] Well, no.

[00:10:08] Yeah.

[00:10:09] It's the turtle arc.

[00:10:10] Yeah.

[00:10:11] It's the turtle arc.

[00:10:12] It's honestly like,

[00:10:13] I think the turtle arc is that bad.

[00:10:15] I mean, yeah, it takes a little bit but once you get out of it,

[00:10:18] it's much better.

[00:10:19] But season three I just was like me.

[00:10:22] Like, I don't know.

[00:10:23] Speaking of season three's though slime season three is on its,

[00:10:26] it's coming up pretty soon.

[00:10:27] Whoa.

[00:10:28] I watched.

[00:10:29] I've actually in actively watching slime diaries.

[00:10:31] That was what was on my screen before my TV turned off.

[00:10:35] But yes, I was watching slime diaries because I want to get hyped for.

[00:10:38] That time I was reading Kanye as a slime.

[00:10:40] It's like, it's just so fun.

[00:10:42] It's just the silliness of the show and there's no seriousness.

[00:10:46] Just silly.

[00:10:47] Yeah.

[00:10:48] Yeah, that's a good one.

[00:10:51] But yeah, other than that, nothing too crazy.

[00:10:55] I did.

[00:10:56] I've done literally nothing this weekend other than I was on podcast.

[00:10:59] Colab yesterday.

[00:11:00] I don't know when that's going to be out.

[00:11:03] So I'm not going to spoil what it is yet, but.

[00:11:06] It was it was good time.

[00:11:07] Other than that.

[00:11:09] I'm really just not a whole lot going on right now.

[00:11:12] Oh, yeah, did you see like the the giant like.

[00:11:15] Art mini heart attack everyone had this like yesterday?

[00:11:19] No.

[00:11:20] So you know how like so many articles are like clickbait now and it's like not even funny.

[00:11:27] There was a big article like.

[00:11:30] That was going around because you notice how like every week it's like another person gets out of it as a freaking like petto.

[00:11:37] Oh, yeah.

[00:11:38] Yeah, there was one going around it was like.

[00:11:40] It was like a big name creator from your name film outed for child born and I was just like no.

[00:11:49] But then you click on you click on the article and it was one of like the producers that like didn't actually created they were just to the side.

[00:11:54] And I was like, oh fucking clickbait like.

[00:11:57] You're like, God damn it.

[00:11:58] Okay.

[00:11:59] Like all the comments like it's not shinkai don't worry.

[00:12:02] Yeah, we are good.

[00:12:04] I was like, I'm like, oh not another one.

[00:12:07] I know.

[00:12:08] It just feels like every day is you just realize how shitty people are unfortunately.

[00:12:14] So I mean, everywhere and that's the sad part is that it truly is everywhere because it's in like.

[00:12:21] I mean, it's an obviously allie wood all of that stuff.

[00:12:25] But I mean, it's even like local areas.

[00:12:28] I mean, like, I know even the dance world is affected by stuff like that to now and it's like gross.

[00:12:34] And you're just like you like that's disgusting.

[00:12:37] Uh, yeah.

[00:12:38] So it just sucks.

[00:12:40] Was not a pleasant was not a fun.

[00:12:42] People suck.

[00:12:43] Yeah.

[00:12:44] Yeah, that was not a fun headline to see.

[00:12:46] Thank God it wasn't it wasn't what they made it sound like.

[00:12:50] Yeah.

[00:12:51] Yeah, because that would have ruined those movies.

[00:12:54] Yeah.

[00:12:57] Yeah, Bill, when are you going to watch the Barbie movies?

[00:13:02] I bought all the Barbie movies.

[00:13:04] That's right.

[00:13:05] All there was a DVD pack that had all of them.

[00:13:08] And we're going to podcast about all the Barbie movies and Bill is going to pick his.

[00:13:12] Can we do a tier list?

[00:13:14] We watched them all and then do a tier list on Barbie movie tier list.

[00:13:20] Yeah, it's happening.

[00:13:22] Did you wait guys?

[00:13:24] Maybe this Sunday, the Sunday we're going to watch all the Barbie movies.

[00:13:27] That's what I want for my birthday.

[00:13:29] I want to watch all the Barbie movies on Sunday.

[00:13:32] So that's what's happening and we can pod about it and make a tier list.

[00:13:36] Lovely.

[00:13:38] Yeah, see your committing.

[00:13:41] Commit right now.

[00:13:45] Sure, we'll do something.

[00:13:48] Not something.

[00:13:50] Say it.

[00:13:51] Yes, we will podcast about all the Barbie movies this Sunday.

[00:13:55] Well, we will watch all the Barbie movies this Sunday.

[00:13:58] What you say?

[00:13:59] Commit.

[00:14:00] No, say it.

[00:14:02] I'm just not going to say it.

[00:14:04] Is it annoying you?

[00:14:05] Say it.

[00:14:06] No, you need to promise on.

[00:14:09] I already said I said what you said.

[00:14:16] Say it.

[00:14:18] Say it.

[00:14:22] So anyway,

[00:14:23] I agree.

[00:14:24] I agree.

[00:14:26] I agree.

[00:14:28] Anyways, so moving on to our topic for this episode.

[00:14:32] We're doing a bit of a tradition that we've been doing since season.

[00:14:36] Who I want to say.

[00:14:38] I know.

[00:14:39] All right guys, listen up.

[00:14:41] Purify drinking water.

[00:14:44] Across the air.

[00:14:46] By advanced filtration in reverse osmosis technologies.

[00:14:51] This is good and gather.

[00:14:53] You know why?

[00:14:54] Because it's from Target.

[00:14:55] I went to Taj J.

[00:14:57] It's 16.9 fluid ounces, 500 million.

[00:15:01] 1.05, what's PT stand for?

[00:15:06] I don't know.

[00:15:08] Anyways, ingredients.

[00:15:10] ingredients purified water that's it that's all it says see you can't see it's too blurry anyways

[00:15:18] it's distributed by target corporation in mineral at minium minium minium minium

[00:15:25] uh keep package for reference for report on water quality and information's contact

[00:15:34] guest services at a phone number i won't say out loud go ahead and get the promise

[00:15:39] 100% satisfaction

[00:15:43] do you know any dad like a boo sound effect you know this time board

[00:15:46] what fuck you so this is the average favorite part of the episode

[00:15:50] there was a catch refund if you live in uh what's hi

[00:15:58] i don't know uh but uh anyway in Connecticut you can recycle it and get some money back

[00:16:06] if we tried that and it failed and also just be careful the cap is a choking hazard bill

[00:16:11] it says for small children but i know that it could also happen to you so don't choke on the cap

[00:16:18] i'm worried about you

[00:16:21] bill i'm cheating on curkey but if i'm gonna cheat on curkey it's gonna be with

[00:16:26] my yay my favorite store that i spend for you too much money at because i

[00:16:33] in a basic bitch when it comes to target

[00:16:37] oh you said it not me um so yeah we're going on anyways though we're gonna be

[00:16:43] think man you've got a target too you shop it target on a date your basic bitch too

[00:16:49] you also try to break everywhere oh i also tried to go to raising canes this weekend

[00:16:54] failed yeah because the line is like fucking insane stuff

[00:16:58] i thought it was more but it's not like no no chicken steps

[00:17:04] it's a double wide line that goes like miles back i like i took one look and just

[00:17:09] when i don't need chicken that's all that's right

[00:17:13] there's a fucking chick filet like up this tree

[00:17:15] i thought it's not me and my friend ended up we wanted to go just raising canes

[00:17:20] and we just ended up getting choked for like because we were like fuck that

[00:17:24] yeah it's gonna take a like a couple of months before it'll be the hype will die now

[00:17:30] well you stopped on it in the parking lot that's what you know

[00:17:33] oh yeah we never talked about that on the last spot yeah bill and i were at target

[00:17:39] because bill is also a basic bitch going to target and uh the raising canes is right over there

[00:17:45] someone like left their box of like garbage they had a little raising canes to go box and they left it

[00:17:51] on the ground and to me i let the intrusive thoughts win and i just ran over it just jumped on it

[00:18:00] and stopped it and it's splattered everywhere and bill is just like what the fuck is wrong

[00:18:07] but yeah i was like the intrusive thoughts won in my brain and i said i must smash box

[00:18:17] yeah you got shit everywhere it's fine it's fine i don't want to talk about it's fine anyway is

[00:18:26] as i've been trying to say um wait we wasted 18 minutes of course we did

[00:18:32] just off the garbage of me blabbing well wait two more minutes and we can do 20 minute

[00:18:39] intro no i'm going to i'm going to start so no 20 minutes do you really want to be

[00:18:47] reminded me no this won't take that long i hope if you keep stretching it it will

[00:18:55] fine anyways next time so we're doing a tradition we've been doing some season two where we

[00:19:02] take a look at the most valuable games i own in my collection because it's really fun to see how it

[00:19:06] changes and how this market like it's all over the place um fun fact i compiled the list for this

[00:19:13] and it's already not accurate anymore so i'm gonna have to like double take on everything now

[00:19:18] so our the thumbnail i made is already on an inaccurate but i don't care anymore i'm just going

[00:19:22] to use it anyways all right so starting starting off with the nintendo consoles we've got

[00:19:31] the NES and the way i have this list worked out is i actually have the original first time we did

[00:19:37] this the second time we those and the third time we did this hiccup um haven't done that in a while

[00:19:43] i think last episode i'm pretty certain i don't remember um yes so for NES uh

[00:19:53] spoiler warning any s is going to the home and ten do consoles are going to be kind of boring

[00:19:57] because it was dragon warrior for the first time and it's still dragon warrior for even to this day

[00:20:02] did the price go up or did they not change at all it's about this so right now it's actually tied with

[00:20:08] ten again tetris as the most valuable uh you have ten again tetris i do um

[00:20:16] um and they're both tied at a hundred and one hundred and two dollars

[00:20:20] donations so it's about around the price that it was before uh it's always shifting like

[00:20:27] i'm pretty sure that one's just going to permanently be number one for a while though

[00:20:31] because going over to a super Nintendo now like the first time we did this list it was harvests moon

[00:20:37] but harvests moon has dropped a little bit in earthbound as reclaimed it

[00:20:41] and earthbound has gone up it's like three hundred sixty three dollars now

[00:20:49] wow like i paid a hundred and twenty for my original copy of earthbound

[00:20:55] just the cartridge the box itself is like six hundred to seven hundred dollars

[00:20:59] jesus yeah it's freaking absurd sometimes uh moving on though

[00:21:06] uh the n64 your favorite console ever

[00:21:10] yeah the bar 64

[00:21:14] yeah so at the time i initially so going on it was originally conquer then shes

[00:21:21] Castlevania legacy of darkness had overtaken it um recently in it within the last couple days

[00:21:28] that's actually gone down a bit and conquer is back to number one

[00:21:31] oh interesting at a hundred and seven dollars for the loose cartridge you know what'd be

[00:21:38] interesting to do is if you like did like uh like in the future when there's like a whole bunch

[00:21:43] like you like do like a little like graph montage thing to be like blah blah blah blah

[00:21:50] see how the price has gone up and down no yeah i feel like that would be interesting

[00:21:54] i love graphs i believe you can go on to price charting.com and actually see that

[00:22:00] in three yeah conquer though that's always been up there as an expensive game and i mean it was a

[00:22:06] late game for the system and it's very lauded from moving on to game cube same as usual uh

[00:22:14] by rummum path to radiance has basically just permanently been the most valuable game for that

[00:22:18] system for a while now uh interestingly though like it has gone down a little it's like two twenty

[00:22:24] four which is close to what i paid for it back like in two thousand eleven they want to say

[00:22:31] what's fun though is you know what the the other two most valuable game cube games are right now

[00:22:35] but i own what the two pokemon games pokemon kichou mo pokemon kawaii and xd are like both

[00:22:46] over a hundred and fifty dollars now and they're not they're not good games that's the sad part

[00:22:54] see but that i mean that's what's interesting about watch this too is that like

[00:22:59] what games end up being expensive are you really the hot garbage games but everyone wants the

[00:23:03] hot garbage games for the hot garbage legacy well that and also just pokemon games just are

[00:23:10] expensive now oh yeah i mean everyone loves pokemon hey it has a rival now

[00:23:16] yeah not as much as people they seem to think i mean it's done it's done well but the hype for

[00:23:24] that is died down oh what um so the we it is also a fire emblem game uh by rumm radian don when

[00:23:34] we first did this it was Metroid Prime trilogy but that's gone down a lot in recent years

[00:23:39] um like that's like the most third most valuable game i own now uh fire emblem

[00:23:44] radian don though that's over a hundred dollars as well

[00:23:49] fire emblem games are just valuable at these days just yeah i mean they're they're well loved

[00:23:57] this one interested me the Wii U uh Wii U has yes

[00:24:04] the Wii U is a weird one for me because looking back at it it's been the same game every time we've

[00:24:11] done this it's always been Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD um what i find interesting

[00:24:16] though is that games like a hundred dollars now oh did the price go down or go up it's it's gone up

[00:24:23] it's it's been like very like it's caused that was a very late Wii U game and it's like kind of stuck

[00:24:30] on the system now and it's just kind of like flatline at like around a hundred dollars recently

[00:24:36] um because the second most valuable game is Twilight as a win-waker HD and that is only like 50 something

[00:24:46] interesting and then last console for Nintendo the switch

[00:24:50] um it's the switch beach yes it's the same one it's always been for us it's the uh

[00:24:56] octopath traveler uh wayfarer's edition which was the special edition that came out for that game

[00:25:02] um that's sitting at a one hundred and thirty eight dollars which it's expected it's a special

[00:25:09] edition yeah what i honestly know kind of interesting though because i mean most switch games are

[00:25:13] around sixty bucks so it's really not that crazy if it's like a special deluxe edition

[00:25:20] like it's really not crazy value i would say what's interesting though is some of the other

[00:25:25] switch games that are valuable right now um there's the lost child uh that was a game i bought

[00:25:36] back when the switch like first came out and i bought it was like like ten bucks like a bargain bin

[00:25:41] RPG and i guess it's shot up like tremendously now it's like ninety seven dollars

[00:25:48] uh the Baldur's Gate 2 pack that's like 91 now

[00:25:51] you know super mario all stars it's like eighty five just like a whole bunch of um games that have

[00:25:59] just kind of gone up and value and it's interesting to me like um it's interesting to me just kind

[00:26:06] of like looking at that and just being like wow like the it's weird how like the

[00:26:10] thumb games just kind of jump up in value for no reason and there's like no way of um

[00:26:15] really following it so now going on to the Nintendo handhelds

[00:26:25] uh that oh it's already changed since the last time i get this that's that's funny um

[00:26:32] so not a not that big of a change but when we first did this list game boy the original

[00:26:37] game boy my most valuable game was mystical ninja starring goemon um since then we've had the

[00:26:43] pokemon explosion where every pokemon game is just absurdly expensive now the last time we did

[00:26:50] this list it was pokemon blue was the most valuable as of now it's pokemon red although at the time

[00:26:57] i did the average initially made this list it was yellow but it's since shifted to red because red

[00:27:01] i guess had a spike recently and it's now sixty five dollars like a full ten dollars more than

[00:27:08] yellow version yeah like all the pokemon's are the most valuable games i own for the game original

[00:27:14] game boy moving on though to game boy color now this one has also not changed since we started

[00:27:24] doing this it's still resident evil guidance which is a hundred and ninety seven dollars now

[00:27:30] yeah um i paid like fifty when i bought it way back um it what's interesting to me is the second

[00:27:39] most valuable game is pokemon crystal but like pokemon gold and silver aren't even close to like

[00:27:44] the top five they're like kind of like uh down in like the fifty to forty dollar range

[00:27:51] just interesting um yeah resident evil though that's been pretty like standard

[00:28:01] gba oh you know he had another change that i wasn't expecting

[00:28:06] it's funny how this shows just how much prices fluctuate in everything oh yeah so i'm

[00:28:12] gonna edit this real quick no so the when we first did this list the most valuable pokemon game i

[00:28:20] owned i mean not pokemon was valuable gba game i owned was pocketing rocky with becky

[00:28:26] becky oh my god becky oh my god becky get away from fluid no

[00:28:33] fluid he's married who said that's Lloyd not fluid oh boy how do i know i'm fluid um

[00:28:41] yeah so it was that one then the second time was Castlevania are you of sorrow because i have it

[00:28:46] boxed but recently it shifted and now the most valuable game is pokemon emerald

[00:28:53] $198 lose

[00:28:57] um wow that's one dollar it's one dollar more expensive than a rf sorrow huh are the

[00:29:06] is there reason the game boy advanced ones are more expensive than the game just a regular game

[00:29:10] classic game boy ones uh the game boy advanced games have not been re-released

[00:29:17] ehh okay so it's really that's the only way to play them at this point in time yes because i

[00:29:23] don't unless you get like an emulator or something or you play one of the remakes um

[00:29:28] yeah because like even like uh fire ed and leap reanor $100 and then like ruby and sapphire are like

[00:29:34] 70 um i think the big thing is because like red red blue yellow and gold silver and crystal were

[00:29:40] re-released on the uh 3ds store back when that was still going so a lot of people kind of got them

[00:29:45] that way and i feel like because the uh gba games are not as easy to find at the moment they've

[00:29:54] just shot up in price still funny because i paid i got my copy of emerald for free

[00:30:00] i got it from a friend who was uh moving away and he gave it to me and i was like

[00:30:07] oh it's like bi i'll never see you again here's a copy of your game boy with this game

[00:30:15] yet honestly that's kind of what happened oh kind of what happened uh so fun fact

[00:30:21] Pokemon games have gone through a boom recently in terms of value sonic boom

[00:30:26] boom not so much a sonic boom i think more of uh just a pokemon boom in general

[00:30:32] pokemon boom boom i mean pokemon has gotten progressively more popular just in general so yeah

[00:30:41] all the games values have like shifted though like since i did this list like a week ago um

[00:30:46] so for ds when we first did the list it was e3 and odyssey 3 then it was dragon quest 5

[00:30:52] now it's pokemon heart gold at 190 hey i have wait do i have heart gold or soul silver

[00:30:59] you have soul silver which is valued at 169 hey that's some money i could have white too

[00:31:06] which you have white too which is um 172 well i'll never give that up that's my favorite pokemon game

[00:31:13] ever i'm still waiting on the remake but it'd be not trash or pokemon company

[00:31:19] i will find you yeah all the pokemon ds games are just like absurdly expensive

[00:31:24] like the cheapest one is like diamond version for uh 56

[00:31:31] dang well i mean understandable though because like that game those games are called like

[00:31:36] considered one of the worst ones well diamond and pearl themselves are pretty bad uh platinum

[00:31:43] platinum version is 143 but platinum fixed a lot of problems with diamond and pearl

[00:31:47] yeah so understandable but yeah that's like the only one i remember like when they made the remake

[00:31:53] and everyone was just like why this one you didn't know what this one yeah no it wasn't that

[00:31:58] it wasn't that they were mad they remade diamond and pearl it was more that the remake was so lazy

[00:32:03] yeah that too but i mean when they announced that they were remaking it i remember my first thought

[00:32:08] was like why this one no one cares about this game oh no the diamond and pearl has a fan base now

[00:32:15] that's grown a lot over the last few years okay it's not big though no it's not as

[00:32:21] the i-hard is like the original fans or even the gen 3 fans but

[00:32:27] that's besides the point what what

[00:32:34] anyways um moving on to the Nintendo 3DS so

[00:32:40] so first time we did this it was my persona q shadow of the labyrinth special edition

[00:32:47] and the second time it was professor laden in the asrian legacy and it is still professor laden

[00:32:52] in the asrian legacy what i find insane is that game is over hundred dollars now

[00:32:58] oh this is the the the sixth professor laden game so unfortunately if you want to play all the

[00:33:05] laden games they're not cheap they're not cheap no happy done what makes one switch

[00:33:13] would prefer to land they've only re-released the the one that they did with his daughter

[00:33:22] oh okay um and that one's not amazing apparently

[00:33:30] yeah unfortunately that though like if you want to play laden six

[00:33:34] you're gonna have to shell out some money or if you were lucky enough to have bought it on the

[00:33:38] 3DS store before that shut down yeah unfortunate and then the last Nintendo system we have just

[00:33:47] for shits and giggles is the virtual boy um i haven't added any virtual boy games and their

[00:33:55] values have kind of stayed pretty stagnant it's been nesters funky bowling every year

[00:33:59] haha at seventy eight dollars oh line oh i'm surprised they're not more expensive

[00:34:07] just i mean for accessibility to them so the ones i don't have are the expensive ones

[00:34:15] oh okay like some of them are like over four hundred dollars

[00:34:20] yeah uh moving on now though to a PlayStation hunt consoles these ones are a little different

[00:34:28] I will say they've kind of shifted around a bit. PlayStation, PlayStation values are always shifting.

[00:34:37] So right now it's changed a bit in the couple of years since we've done this.

[00:34:44] When we first did this, the most valuable PS1 game I had was Persona. No, no, it was Colanoa,

[00:34:51] Dore de Fantamyle. The second time we did this, it was Persona 2, Eternal Punishment.

[00:34:57] As of right now, it is now the original Persona, Revelations Persona.

[00:35:04] I've noticed while doing this that like it's always those three that are constantly in the 1, 2,

[00:35:12] and 3 spot. Persona 1 right now is going for $357. I got my copy for

[00:35:20] 50 years ago. Wow. If you really want to play original Persona in its original form,

[00:35:29] you can get the PlayStation Classic which has it on there for some reason.

[00:35:33] Oh okay, so. But yeah if you want the original disc, it's almost $400. Same with Persona 2 at

[00:35:41] like 350. I got Persona 2 for $20 back in the day. 20 bucks? Yeah, I bought it on Amazon.

[00:35:52] It's crazy. I bought it on Amazon from some lady. Amazon? Yeah. Wow.

[00:35:58] And it showed up complete and box mint. Now it's like sweet. Keep in mind that.

[00:36:04] Keep in mind that was before the Persona boom happened. So I kind of got it at just the right time.

[00:36:15] Going now to PS2, not much has changed PS2 wise originally it was .hack quarantine.

[00:36:22] Then it was Xenosaga episode three and it's back to .hack quarantine. That's funny.

[00:36:29] You want to know what makes it even funnier? What? The rest of the .hack games, like the original .hacks.

[00:36:36] They're like 20 to 30 to 50 bucks. The fourth one is currently sitting at $266.

[00:36:49] I'm assuming because it was the last one that released and it was in later quantities but

[00:36:54] it's nuts to me how just expensive that game has shot up and it's made it almost impossible to collect.

[00:37:01] Do you have it? Yes. Okay. I got all. Is it on the list is the most expensive one?

[00:37:08] Yes, it's still currently. Well like in . . I'm very sorry. I'm tired. I'm tired.

[00:37:15] It's the most valuable PS2 game I have right now. Okay.

[00:37:18] It's overshot Xenosaga 3. It's just funny. I'm looking to see where the other .hacks are and

[00:37:27] the closest one is $52. They have not held their value as much as the fourth one.

[00:37:39] An interesting PS2 game that's surprisingly expensive is Dragon Ball Z Budakai 10kG3 at 175.

[00:37:46] Is that game actually good? Some people really like it. I don't personally because I feel

[00:37:53] it's too complicated. You remember when we went to Retro World and mean Kevin played that game on

[00:37:59] the PS2 for like five minutes and we were like fuck this. No, because I think I was playing something

[00:38:05] else. Wasn't I? No, this is right before we did the Bomberman game. We played this Dragon Ball game

[00:38:11] for like five seconds and we're like the sex nevermind. It's too hard. That was that was Budakai 10kG3.

[00:38:19] It's not a bad game. It's just unnecessarily complicated for like no reason.

[00:38:25] Yeah, a little moving on now to PS3. PS3 is an interesting one to me because PS3 games are starting

[00:38:31] to go up in value a lot. The most valuable game when we first did this list for PS3 was the Arland

[00:38:38] Atelier trilogy. It is still that to this day. That one's an interesting one because that was

[00:38:46] released as like a special like it combined three games in one. It's like a little bonus thing and

[00:38:50] that is since shot up to almost $100. What's amusing though is the two other most valuable PS3

[00:38:59] games I own are the two Spider-Man games they came out for PS3. Both of them at $80.

[00:39:05] Oh. And then there's a Spyro game on PS3 that's like 61. It's just it's funny like random games

[00:39:15] just go up in value like that. As for PS4 when we first did this it was persona 5 take your heart

[00:39:25] premium edition. That has actually gone down quite a bit. That's like $75 now. The most valuable game

[00:39:33] the second time we did this was Legend of Heroes Trails of Cold Steel to the deluxe edition. It

[00:39:39] is still that now that's sitting at like 154. Kind of glad I bought that like when it was new so I

[00:39:47] kind of got it for the normal price because it's just gone up and kind of sat there.

[00:39:53] Interestingly the Deadpool game on PS4 is like $76 for some reason.

[00:39:58] Is it fun? It's all right. It's not like a mate. Yeah. Okay. It's not amazing by any means but

[00:40:05] I mean it's it's like it's Ryan Reynolds voice in it. I don't think so. It's based off the comic

[00:40:13] version not the movie. Okay. Yeah. It's a decent game though not not amazing but not bad.

[00:40:21] So PS5 has been the most amusing one to me just because PS5s are so new.

[00:40:28] When we first did this list it was Elden Ring because that had just came out so it just kind of

[00:40:32] was by default the most valuable game. The second time we did this this is still the weirdest one to me.

[00:40:39] It was dirt five. Oh like a racing game. Oh. It's gone down since it's like $50 now but it was

[00:40:48] like weirdly like 90 bucks at that point. They probably did a restock of it. Now I'm assuming

[00:40:55] because the sequel, the next entry is coming out very shortly but currently the most valuable game

[00:41:01] I own on PS5 is Final Fantasy VII remake integrate and that's like $121 right now.

[00:41:10] Which is hilarious because you can get the PS4 version for like nothing.

[00:41:15] It's just that weird the PS5 integrate version is just stupidly expensive now.

[00:41:19] Hey it's the hype. Yeah because the rebirth is coming out pretty soon so

[00:41:25] because I'm sure it's not going to stay there next year. Like I'm sure next year it's going to be

[00:41:29] different or maybe a week from now who knows? Who knows. PSP on the other hand this one has changed

[00:41:37] every year we've done this. The first year it was Legendary Heroes 3 songs of the Ocean

[00:41:43] that has since kind of dropped down a bit. It's actually no it's up to the second most valuable again.

[00:41:49] The following year we had Yes the oath of a Felagania that has since dropped down to third

[00:41:58] and the new most valuable PSP game I own is Persona 2 in a sense.

[00:42:04] Those damn Persona games. Those damn Persona fans make it every day expensive.

[00:42:12] I think it's just because the Persona 3 reload came out recently so there's a ton of Persona hype

[00:42:16] right now. Yeah I gotta play that put on my list. I think you can get it on PS4.

[00:42:24] I thought it was on POOT switch. No not reload. Oh shoot. I thought I saw it on Switch.

[00:42:31] All right I'm probably- You saw Persona 3 portable on Switch. Ah yeah that's what's

[00:42:38] I'm okay this one was just funny to me Vita. First time we did this it was Persona 4 dancing all

[00:42:47] night disco fever edition. That's still expensive but not as expensive. The second year we did it

[00:42:54] it was hyper dimension nevtunia rebirth 3 that's actually dropped down significantly.

[00:42:59] The new most valuable game for I have for Vita is a Japanese import dead or alive extreme

[00:43:07] 3. Jesus. That's like the beach of all you ballgame that didn't come over here. Yeah.

[00:43:14] I own it because I saw it at a state line just sitting on the shelf for like 20 bucks and I was

[00:43:19] like fucking it's a Vita. I need it. Oh dang and it's now your most expensive.

[00:43:25] Yeah now it's like $165 like I don't get that. I'm gonna have to do some research there

[00:43:33] because there's gotta be something fishy going on there. But yeah that just I read that I was

[00:43:38] like what and it's you know the funny part is it's not even good it's like a shit it's kind of a

[00:43:43] shit game. It's just beach volleyball in like mini games with the dead or alive girls.

[00:43:54] Wonderful. Yeah moving on to Sega consoles now. Sega consoles are mostly the same. I'm not gonna lie.

[00:44:03] Master System was originally fantasy star the first time we did this. It then moved up to East

[00:44:09] the vanished opens. It's also now fantasy star again. Loose cartridge $72. Genesis.

[00:44:19] Genesis hasn't changed just because the game I have is very valuable. It's been fantasy star

[00:44:24] 4 every time we've done this and that's the one I remember that one random retro store we went

[00:44:28] to were like the guy was like streaming inside and we just kind of were like walking around.

[00:44:36] Do you remember the one retro store we went to like it was like a guy he was just the owner was

[00:44:40] just like streaming and like we were just kind of walking around it like you would want to

[00:44:44] find a better and you were like oh whoops so that's supposed to back there he's like oh no no go

[00:44:47] ahead that's fine. I forgot about that one that one was like that one was in Connecticut right

[00:44:54] like where we just like a day like where we drove I forgot we haven't got to that one. No

[00:44:59] because I don't I don't remember where it is. I don't either it might not be open unfortunately

[00:45:05] because was that pre-COVID or post-COVID? No that was that was post-COVID no because you remember we

[00:45:09] commented about how the owner like didn't have his mask on like the entire time except except when

[00:45:14] he did the transaction because he like he noticed and just kind of pulled it up casually and we

[00:45:21] were like yeah whatever. Oh that was funny I remember that going like behind the counter going oh

[00:45:27] shit behind the counter. Well no the funniest part about that was his response was oh your brother's

[00:45:32] buying this really expensive games I don't give a shit what you do. It was like it was like yeah okay

[00:45:37] yeah but I bought fantasy I bought fantasy star 4 there and it's been my most valuable game since

[00:45:43] it's actually gone up in price since I bought it because I only paid 90 for it. It's over 200 now

[00:45:51] and Genesis games. Moving on Sega CD it's been pop-full mail every year we've done this.

[00:45:59] Pop-full mail was that one that I remember the one we got at a state line that first time that I

[00:46:03] spent all my money on yep yep you talked about that last week. I did yeah that's it for over 400

[00:46:11] dollars right now. I made money on that one and then Sega 32X it's still Nuckel's chaotic

[00:46:19] mostly just because that's the only box game I have and it's also a very valuable game and I'm

[00:46:23] still happy I paid $5 for it. I still can't believe that I mean I can but I just thought it was

[00:46:29] funny it was sitting on a pile of VHS tapes yeah so random 32X. Some guy whoever's that was was

[00:46:37] probably like what do you do that like after I was thinking about it and they must have

[00:46:42] pissed when they found out or they didn't even know that they could be back to.

[00:46:49] Stagas Saturn very obviously is still Panger Dragon Saga it's forever gonna be Panger Dragon Saga

[00:46:54] most likely that is not only the most valuable Saturn game I have that is the most valuable game

[00:47:00] I own period you want to guess how much it's going for right now $1,000 exactly wait really?

[00:47:09] Yeah it's sitting in exactly a thousand right now. It actually was down below a thousand

[00:47:14] for a while it's gone back up to a thousand recently. I was just doing an over exaggerating

[00:47:19] answer I was not expecting that to be correct. Nope you were 100% spot on. Damn.

[00:47:26] Sega Dreamcast it's been ill bleed every year we've done this

[00:47:30] good old ill bleed my favorite can't be can't be horror game

[00:47:33] um $230 yes oh so it's still okay it's 200 in paper it. My copy I had to piece together so I

[00:47:45] had to buy two copies I think I paid the two copies combined like 120 so it's about double what I

[00:47:51] paid all right stocks and I made money back because I sold one of the loose disk I got and

[00:47:57] the loose disk ended up being over $100 so I made mine there. Oh nice do you sell it to

[00:48:03] like a store or like eBay? I sold it to John I think actually. I mean it's it's a great it's

[00:48:10] a valuable game regardless of its incase or not so you bleed interestingly though it actually

[00:48:17] is getting close to being overtaken because project justice is like right behind it

[00:48:21] do you have that one? I do that mom got me that for Christmas a couple years ago.

[00:48:25] Oh so that that is a very good fighting game that's sitting at like 2227 right now so it's close

[00:48:34] uh and then finally Sega Game Gear. It's been I believe it's been Tales Adventure every year yep

[00:48:39] it's still Tales Adventure. Game Gear games aren't super valuable so the one valuable game I own

[00:48:46] for it is Tales Adventure and it's gonna probably always be Tales Adventure.

[00:48:49] It's fun game too it's like a Metroidvania where you play as Tales.

[00:48:53] Huh nice like they didn't try to they didn't try to make it a Sonic game because Tales is

[00:49:00] in Sonic so they actually made something interesting and unique. It's a fun one

[00:49:07] all right so now that we're through Sega now we're kind of on the the grab bag section of

[00:49:11] just random consoles um so going on to Xbox is now. I only have the original Xbox in the 360

[00:49:20] so I can't really go farther than that but oh we've had a change since the last time

[00:49:28] so the first year we did this it was Dino Crisis 3 which is a terrible game by the way

[00:49:33] um and then the second year it was also Dino Crisis 3

[00:49:38] uh this year though it is actually now Jet Set Radio Future. I'm assuming because the

[00:49:48] the Jet Set Radio series is apparently getting a like kind of like a reboot or something coming soon

[00:49:55] so I'm assuming I'm assuming hype for that series is kind of going up. Now I always joke because

[00:50:03] Xbox games are like notoriously cheap because no one cares about Xbox.

[00:50:08] Why are you sniffing your mic? Wait is the bar not there?

[00:50:14] Well it is but I can still see your mic poking up so it looks like you're just sniffing your mic.

[00:50:20] Wait you can see it like do you see it like right here? Yeah I don't see it

[00:50:26] I don't know either way um yeah so Xbox games are like

[00:50:32] I'm the bar. This is gonna be great for our listeners. Yeah I'm sure they're very amused

[00:50:40] Xbox games though notoriously don't hold their value because Xbox games are kind of over

[00:50:45] we're over produced and are kind of worthless now because there's just so many versions of them

[00:50:49] that it's like not a lot there's so much stock that like it really doesn't gain a value

[00:50:55] there are there are a few exceptions though like a dino crisis three for some reason is $70

[00:50:59] despite being a garbage game and Jetset radio future is going for $50 right now so

[00:51:08] glad I grabbed that one back in the day. Jetset radio future sounds like a song in the Sonic

[00:51:15] game so does this sound like it could be a song from a Sonic game? What's fun is the producer that

[00:51:23] does the music for the Jetset radio series he actually did a Sonic game. He did the um

[00:51:28] he did the Sonic rush he did Sonic Rush 1 and that's why Sonic Rush 1 has such like crazy high-energy

[00:51:33] music. Jetset radio is like a skate like roller skating spray paint tagging game. Oh

[00:51:41] it's really unique in like Super Sega and they only made two of them unfortunately but they were

[00:51:47] super interesting games you literally they're kind of jank nowadays because they have an aged well

[00:51:52] but it was just a fun game where you just roller skated around this open hub and you would

[00:51:55] just like spray paint tag stuff. It was fun. Cool games now moving on to the Xbox 360 so this one

[00:52:03] has been all over the place over the years because 360 games also aren't amazingly valuable. I

[00:52:10] want to play 350 games. I hate it. It's the 360. It does exist. It's the 350. Make it exist.

[00:52:20] So um the first year we did this it was a game called Aki katana that game has since kind of

[00:52:28] shot down in value it's like 29 dollars right now. The second year it was bullet which

[00:52:35] which is like the most edgy edgelord looking game you'll ever see. That's like $34 now.

[00:52:42] This year it is interestingly a new game that we haven't done yet. It's Magna Carta too.

[00:52:49] A very bizarre like I believe it's got Korean RPG that they put on Xbox for some reason.

[00:52:55] It's a good game. It's just it's super anime and super like kind of fan service you when

[00:53:02] you look at it the first time. But hey $40 you see it. Yeah that's how that's how low

[00:53:12] 360 games are going for right now. It's like the less than a new switch game at this point.

[00:53:18] There's probably more expensive ones but you probably have to like they're probably some obscure

[00:53:22] do you think those do you think 360 games will ever hop back on like the market as like oh everyone wants

[00:53:33] those or do you think it never will. It's hard to say the reason why

[00:53:39] PS3 games I think are going up is because there wasn't as many of them made. The reason why 360

[00:53:44] games just haven't held their value is Microsoft just produced so many. There's just so many that

[00:53:49] like they're just not value books. You can get them very easily. Yeah.

[00:53:53] Hopefully I'm not at your local retro games or there are honestly like GameStop

[00:54:01] I got the entire Halo series for like $5. Just like please take it at this.

[00:54:07] They had so many copies. They also were probably just trying to get rid of them at that point.

[00:54:13] Yeah. I mentioned buying a full price 360 game and looking at them now and just going fuck

[00:54:20] you didn't I mean at the time when it was new it's hard to look back at it like that when

[00:54:25] you bought them new because it's kind of like yeah you're always gonna get screwed that way.

[00:54:32] So moving on now to Atari consoles. Atari 2600 fun fact Atari 2600 games are also worthless.

[00:54:41] Oh. Okay so ET is $9 right now but that's not even close to my most valuable.

[00:54:49] Yeah my most valuable 2600 game is Clacks and the only reason it's Clacks is because I have a sealed

[00:54:56] new copy. Nice. And the reason I haven't opened it is just because it's Clacks like if I really want

[00:55:03] to play Clacks there's like 20 other versions. Yeah or you could just buy one cheaper.

[00:55:08] I could. But if I want to play it there's the Atari anthology and it's like right there.

[00:55:14] Oh yeah then what's the point and it will look better because it'll be on like a better screen than

[00:55:20] whatever the 2600 puts out. I bought it just you can hook up a 2600 to like a modern TV.

[00:55:27] You can. It looks like utter shit though so there's no reason to.

[00:55:32] But yeah Clacks is always probably gonna be that just because I'm not really planning on buying any more 2600

[00:55:38] games. Yeah for the most part I kind of have the ones I really wanted.

[00:55:43] Yeah and I mean like if it's not like you're I mean it's pretty certain you have your favorite ones

[00:55:48] that you collect for. Yeah I mean yeah like I have the Clacks I want to.

[00:55:51] Like all the what's it what's it called again? The 4DO?

[00:55:56] Oh 3DO. Is that what it's called?

[00:56:00] The 3DO. Go fuck yourself.

[00:56:05] So anyways moving on to Atari's handheld the links.

[00:56:10] The first two times we did this it was gauntlet the third encounter for whatever reason though like

[00:56:16] the flight game blue lightning has shot up in value and that is now the most valuable

[00:56:21] most valuable links game I own at a whopping 23 dollars.

[00:56:29] For just the cartridge you know it's funny Clacks on the links I have complete in box

[00:56:36] that's cheaper than blue lightning as just the cartridge.

[00:56:39] So silly. Yeah that shows how values are now onto your favorite console ever the Atari Jaguar.

[00:56:47] Hell yeah. Every day should be super expensive correct.

[00:56:52] This is your most valuable console correct.

[00:56:55] Not really but um

[00:56:58] You're enjoyment it should be the most valuable from fuck with the access

[00:57:04] into worth millions in my mind.

[00:57:08] Whatever so it does have its hand of valuable games though and for me

[00:57:13] for me it's been Rayman every year.

[00:57:16] I will say though the close second is Attack of the Mutant Paglins.

[00:57:21] Hell yeah these.

[00:57:22] Hell yeah.

[00:57:24] And then Tempest 2000 boxed is now $74.

[00:57:31] Yeah there's a handful of pretty expensive Jaguar games.

[00:57:35] The Jaguar is not a bad console there's some fun stuff on the console.

[00:57:39] So amazing console it's one of the best that was ever made.

[00:57:43] If anyone says that N64 is on level of the Jaguar they're just wrong.

[00:57:49] They're just wrong there's hot garbage versus saintly magic.

[00:57:54] Saintly.

[00:57:57] Yeah so moving on now to 3DO.

[00:58:01] 4DO.

[00:58:01] So the first you that's an emulator for the 3DO by the way.

[00:58:06] 2DO right that's what's called.

[00:58:09] It's literally right in front of your face.

[00:58:13] Looks like a tool to me actually 8DO.

[00:58:15] 8DO.

[00:58:16] Oh I got it all wrong.

[00:58:18] 8DO.

[00:58:18] Go left yourself.

[00:58:21] You know what?

[00:58:23] Deal with this.

[00:58:24] No, all that hurts my eyes.

[00:58:27] Serves you right.

[00:58:29] Anyways so 3DO we had the first year we did this when I was just getting into

[00:58:35] 3DO collecting it was Seal of the Pharaoh of all things.

[00:58:39] Uh-huh.

[00:58:39] Seal of the Pharaoh isn't even in the top and at this point.

[00:58:43] That just shows how you had at the time.

[00:58:47] Yeah it was also like Gex was up there too but that's since drop down.

[00:58:52] Obviously last year we did this it was plumbers don't wear ties

[00:58:55] and it's still plumbers don't wear ties.

[00:58:58] That's coming up for the switch pretty soon.

[00:59:02] Yay!

[00:59:03] And now everyone can play that I mean watch that experience because it's not a game.

[00:59:09] It's just it's an experience.

[00:59:11] New experience.

[00:59:14] What's fun is I actually have the switch version on order like the physical because the

[00:59:18] physicals are you out?

[00:59:20] Oh really?

[00:59:22] Yeah you have to special order it though because it was a limited run thing.

[00:59:25] The old I wasn't originally going to get it but I kind of want it.

[00:59:27] I'm going to have the anime outside or the right way out.

[00:59:31] That's the only reason I'm buying it because that anime cover is so fucking hilarious.

[00:59:36] It's so fucking hilarious like why did they need to do that?

[00:59:40] But um to sell copies of it and clearly it's working.

[00:59:45] I guess I'm still I did buy it though interestingly though like next right next to plumbers

[00:59:51] is night trap at a $110.

[00:59:55] That's gone up quite a bit.

[00:59:56] But yeah plumbers is going to probably forever be my most valuable 3DO game unless I somehow find

[01:00:03] a copy of Lucien's quest but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

[01:00:06] Hey um you're the you're the biggest 2DO fan on the world so I'm sure you'll find it.

[01:00:12] I'll bring it back I will bring the background back.

[01:00:15] Bring what back I don't really are talking about.

[01:00:18] No!

[01:00:19] My eyes!

[01:00:21] Wait there was a 3DO logo in the middle of it?

[01:00:25] Yes.

[01:00:26] I didn't notice that until the

[01:00:29] Anyways uh TurboGraphic 16.

[01:00:32] I have not really collected any TurboGraphics games in a while.

[01:00:38] So as of right now it's been new toopia pretty much every year we've done this.

[01:00:44] Which is funny though because every year new toopia gets more and more expensive because

[01:00:47] when I first got it it was like $40.

[01:00:50] Yep.

[01:00:51] And it's now currently sitting at 162.

[01:00:54] Yeah!

[01:00:55] For a somewhat average Zelda clone.

[01:01:01] Now we're getting to the final stretch.

[01:01:03] Neo Geo Pocket Color.

[01:01:06] The first year we did this it was again called Fiseli.

[01:01:12] It's still Fiseli.

[01:01:15] It kind of does.

[01:01:16] It's still Fiseli at this point.

[01:01:18] Um and Fiseli is a very it's a very interesting RPG that was created by the same team that made

[01:01:24] Shadow Hearts in Klo Delka.

[01:01:27] Huh.

[01:01:30] And then the final console for this list um well you wave your water bottle around

[01:01:37] is the Wonder Swan slash Wonder Swan color I'm just combining.

[01:01:40] Yeah, I forgot you had a Wonder Swan.

[01:01:43] You you want one now because there's one piece games on it.

[01:01:45] I do. I want to play all the one piece games so I'll get one eventually.

[01:01:50] So when we the first time we did the Wonder Swan my most value of the game was one of the

[01:01:54] Neo Geo Shot games.

[01:01:56] It was that it was that the second year but it's actually since shifted to final fantasy two

[01:02:02] of all things.

[01:02:04] Oh wait no it's shifted again.

[01:02:06] It's now the Hunter Hunter game I have.

[01:02:08] Oh!

[01:02:10] That's funny.

[01:02:11] Yeah, so there's a hunter hunter game on a

[01:02:14] on a Wonder Swan that I have loose than I bought.

[01:02:19] Um yeah, that's the most valuable.

[01:02:20] I still haven't actually played that so maybe I should.

[01:02:23] Yeah, no you shouldn't.

[01:02:26] What's funny is it's a value that $30.

[01:02:30] I pay like I paid five because it was it was in a it was in a Wonder Swan grab bag bar.

[01:02:34] I'm guessing the Wonder Swan games are just not very expensive in general.

[01:02:38] Some of them are there's a few that are like you just don't have any of the very expensive

[01:02:43] ones.

[01:02:44] I have a handful of them so right now I have the three new Yasha games,

[01:02:48] the final fantasies in that Hunter Hunter game.

[01:02:52] There's one more game I'd really like and that is um

[01:02:55] One piece

[01:02:57] One piece

[01:03:00] There is um

[01:03:02] A clenoma game on the Wonder Swan that I need to get but it's kind of expensive right now.

[01:03:07] Hmm

[01:03:09] Yeah, but overall like it's kind of oh yeah I didn't really add it because I have one

[01:03:13] Game board for some reason but I have a Clego Vision game.

[01:03:16] I don't own a Clego Vision.

[01:03:17] You got the game so it's your most expensive.

[01:03:21] What what happened was I bought a lot of Atari 2600 games

[01:03:25] Yep, for like 50 bucks.

[01:03:27] It was like it was like 2020 games for 50 bucks.

[01:03:30] It wasn't a bad deal.

[01:03:31] Um

[01:03:33] For some reason there was a copy of Smurfs for Clego Vision in there.

[01:03:37] Hello, it's a Smurfs game is what you yeah.

[01:03:40] Yeah, uh, so I just have Smurfs for Clego Vision

[01:03:43] I'm just kind of held on to it.

[01:03:44] How much is worth eight dollars eight dollars now.

[01:03:49] Big money right there.

[01:03:51] Yeah, so that's pretty much it.

[01:03:54] Wait, I have a question.

[01:03:57] What would be your most valuable console?

[01:04:00] Oh, it's easily say a Saturn.

[01:04:03] Say Saturn.

[01:04:04] I think let me actually check.

[01:04:05] Oh, no, no, no, okay.

[01:04:09] Val okay, so this is it's a little confusing.

[01:04:12] Mm-hmm in terms of just valuable games.

[01:04:16] Yep, it's Saturn.

[01:04:18] Okay, because a lot of Saturn games are expensive like mode there's like

[01:04:23] let's just for context I have one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven

[01:04:30] I have 11 12 Saturn games that are over $100.

[01:04:34] Thank you.

[01:04:36] And then there's like a lot that are up in the high like 70s to like 90s error.

[01:04:42] For context now moving over to my actual most valuable console is the original PlayStation.

[01:04:49] And like in terms of like the console itself like not really the games like just the

[01:04:54] Oh, oh you're asking about the physical console.

[01:04:56] No, yeah, that's what I want to know is like

[01:04:58] physical console.

[01:05:00] What would be the most expensive at this point?

[01:05:02] Okay, that's that's a different question.

[01:05:04] Well, I will finish the original what I originally thought just just to do it.

[01:05:08] The most valuable system I have is the PlayStation.

[01:05:12] And that's mostly just because I have a sheer ton of games yeah, so it's just kind of by default

[01:05:18] going to be up there.

[01:05:20] The only console I have more games for it is the PlayStation 2 but a lot of PS2 games just aren't

[01:05:26] that valuable.

[01:05:28] Okay, going into systems now in terms of overall value.

[01:05:32] So let me let's take a look.

[01:05:35] Yeah, it's set by least valuable first that's funny.

[01:05:41] No, what's the most value?

[01:05:43] Oh, you're going to be happy.

[01:05:47] Yeah, yeah, the value of the console I own is believed or not this the Jaguar.

[01:05:57] Has it should be?

[01:05:59] I win everyone.

[01:06:00] It's the best console in the world and it's the most expensive because everyone wants it

[01:06:05] and there's not so many of them.

[01:06:07] So I'm not sure if that's exactly what the fuck are you saying?

[01:06:13] I'm just being realistic here.

[01:06:16] So I think it actually be kind of funny in terms of consoles, the top 10 most valuable consoles

[01:06:21] I have.

[01:06:23] Consoles and handhelds I'm not going to be separate them.

[01:06:25] I'm just going to put those together.

[01:06:28] Atari Jaguar.

[01:06:30] Virtual boy.

[01:06:32] Then PS5.

[01:06:36] Then the Sega Nomad, then the 3DOFC 10.

[01:06:40] The new Nintendo 2DS XL that one actually kind of surprises me.

[01:06:47] The PS3 fat 60 giga like backwards compatible model.

[01:06:52] The 3DOFC1 Sega CD model 2 and then the 10th is the Wonder Swan Crystal.

[01:06:59] The 3DS being there is interesting.

[01:07:03] I think it's funny that the 3DS is probably because it was towards the end of the life cycle.

[01:07:08] Maybe.

[01:07:09] Oh, the 3DS and they probably just didn't make that many of them.

[01:07:13] Maybe.

[01:07:14] That's actually a good point because I'm looking back at it in like

[01:07:18] because I have three 3DSs and like the original 3DS I have, that's only like 92.

[01:07:25] And then the 3DS XL is like 137 now apparently.

[01:07:31] But yeah, the it's interesting me, the Jaguar though.

[01:07:35] That's $366 value now.

[01:07:40] Virtual boy at 350 you want to, I paid $100 from my virtual boy.

[01:07:43] Granted, my stand is broken on it but it's still, I would probably still be up there.

[01:07:50] Yeah, it's funny though.

[01:07:52] You know what the least valuable costs I have?

[01:07:54] What?

[01:07:55] The fat DS for $30.

[01:07:59] Nice.

[01:08:01] And then the PS1 is only like 33 apparently.

[01:08:05] Not your version though, right?

[01:08:07] I'm assuming you're original one.

[01:08:10] Like the one you had with the screen is more expensive.

[01:08:13] Buy like $3.

[01:08:15] Oh really?

[01:08:16] Maybe combined with the screen.

[01:08:18] I'm not sure how accurate these are.

[01:08:20] Maybe 100% honest but...

[01:08:22] No, true.

[01:08:23] I mean they do change very frequently too so...

[01:08:26] Yeah, that's interesting to me.

[01:08:29] But I mean like, I mean it's not surprising the Jaguar is number one because it's the best

[01:08:34] console there is.

[01:08:36] Fun fact, you know what I mean?

[01:08:38] So obviously we said Panzer Dragon saga, the most expensive game I own.

[01:08:43] Do you want to know what the least expensive game?

[01:08:46] Yes.

[01:08:47] Okay.

[01:08:48] So...

[01:08:50] Is it like Mario on the NES or something?

[01:08:54] So there's a couple here that are not valued?

[01:08:58] Oh, they have no value.

[01:09:01] No, it's more than the game I doesn't know how to value them.

[01:09:07] That's a little annoying.

[01:09:08] I'm not going to lie.

[01:09:09] Um actually my app might be a little screwed up.

[01:09:11] I might have to fix this late.

[01:09:12] Oh yeah, my app is very screwed up.

[01:09:14] All right, the one that it has listed is apparently Yar's revenge for $1.

[01:09:19] Huh?

[01:09:20] What's that?

[01:09:22] Atari 26 on your game.

[01:09:23] Oh.

[01:09:25] Hot car bitch game.

[01:09:27] Atari date, come up with a good console until the Jaguar.

[01:09:31] That was where it peaked.

[01:09:33] Uh, the links is pretty...

[01:09:34] The links is pretty good too.

[01:09:35] The Jaguar has been...

[01:09:38] But yeah!

[01:09:39] So that's the third...

[01:09:40] Yeah, the door's shitter.

[01:09:42] That is the third edition of...

[01:09:45] Of course it is.

[01:09:47] That is the third edition though of most valuable games.

[01:09:51] Because we are the gaming and collecting podcast after all.

[01:09:54] We really should talk gaming and collecting.

[01:09:57] Yeah, so it's been fun though.

[01:09:59] We probably going to have to do an anime episode now.

[01:10:01] We've been doing a lot of gaming focused episodes lately.

[01:10:03] Well you got to pick a show for swap.

[01:10:06] And then...

[01:10:06] I know.

[01:10:07] Yeah.

[01:10:09] Because I already watched my end of the bargain.

[01:10:12] Well yeah, but you were going to watch that anyways.

[01:10:14] I have to just find one.

[01:10:17] Well I'll pick one and you pick that one as...

[01:10:19] I already gave you a bunch of options and you went,

[01:10:21] Nooo.

[01:10:22] No, I have a few I got to look through.

[01:10:25] But yeah we'll get on to that later.

[01:11:07] Hi everyone the Jaguar is the best console ever and it's the most expensive.

[01:11:11] Everyone knows it's great.

[01:11:13] What do you have to say about that?

[01:11:15] You're wrong.

[01:11:16] No!

[01:11:33] You're wrong.
