[00:00:06] This time me and Alex are going to be looking back at our first episode we ever recorded,

[00:00:11] giving our little commentary just to see how much we've changed over the years.

[00:00:16] Boy was it quite embarrassing to watch, but that's all part of the fun.

[00:01:46] I put in my my'm really, really happy. And a lot of people have been happy for me, which has been great. So it's actually kind of interesting. It hasn't spread nearly as fast as you thought it would. Cause nobody in the tool room seems to know. Oh, really?

I think because now she has one meal in the morning

[00:05:46] well, when I was living these this weekend. We're not doing videos and no one can see what you're holding.

[00:15:03] I got the Facebook notification yesterday of the picture of me live episodes. We have been doing this for. We were also in very different places at that point in our lives. Oh yeah, I mean I was, I mean I was living in Connecticut but you were in Mass still. I was still in Carver, still working at the old company that I was at for eight years. Yeah. We damn impersonator account is still around too. I gotta report it again. But anyways, we were having a conversation in his server and I remember we were all joking about our early episodes and how they were so weird. And I mentioned how for like half an hour. Yeah, because it was as the title says a awkward introduction. Yes. To our chaos. So let's bring her up. No.

[00:19:05] So first things first, I kind of you'll notice like the early GNC thumbnails, a lot of them have like static white backgrounds, whatever the Bitmoji's.

[00:20:21] Yeah, that's because we really didn't have a choice at the time.

[00:20:24] Also funny, too, because like this thumbnail style has basically persisted the entire pod. Also I forgot the exclamation point at the end of the title. That also kind of bothers me here. You just fucked everything up. You could recreate the title. I could honestly probably recreate the... Maybe I should try recreating it for the thumbnail for this episode.

[00:24:20] Now you can't get rid of me And of course, silly, I got laid off. But I found a new job pretty quickly. So, and I really liked it. It's funny, because a year later, I would also get laid off. I mean, I've been working, I work actually in the medical field, so I actually have to stop this. Your voice just sounded a lot more high-pitched. I do all this stuff, but we're gonna try not to get used to it. I worked in the medical field at this point. That's funny. That's how life is right now. But I'd say we kinda wanted to start this also,

[00:24:22] just to kind of look back at how we grew up.

[00:24:25] Like, we spent a lot of time doing it.

[00:24:25] I feel like we're trying so hard

[00:24:27] to not sound like freaks. But now we do it for fun, because like looking back at this time specifically, I remember like dance was like still a pretty negative thing in my mindset. So now it's nice to look back and it's it's a positive thing. That's true. It's just so funny that you're like, it was it was kind of crazy and stuff. I mean, it was crazy and it still is crazy as well. I mean, it's like it's a cult.

[00:25:45] I forgot we're talking more about collecting lately. So,

[00:28:03] We didn't actually get around to actually, you know, doing the whole games that shaped us thing until season three.

[00:28:06] I mean, a lot of it looking back at this, especially a lot of it, it took us a bit to

[00:28:12] Um, but I feel it's funny looking now because we were so uncomfortable and now we're so

[00:28:19] I mean, the fact that like I can act like a total spaz like here, I feel like I'm trying

[00:28:24] so hard to not sound like a weirdo.

[00:28:26] Yeah. I just really remember playing that with you all the time. And then I do everything else. Yeah, you would do everything else. But I would do the Coco. Because that was all there was for like two player for a while. Fun fact, Alex would actually try some of the other levels and then die after like one hit. I was really good at the Coco levels. Well, you would just play. You just. Did you hear that? If I heard Miss Till.

Sorry, I had to discipline my lizard Yeah, cuz even her like she didn't make much of an appearance until No, you had to like hold her for like 20 minutes and being like say something and she was not that feeling it And now she's just like what's up like she's here right now. She's rubbing on the microphone as we speak

[00:31:04] We're probably gonna have more of a lot of license games because you know, parents don't know any better. So we bring that up a lot. You bring it up a lot of edgy games, a lot of like computer games. Yeah, a lot of it was split through like the PC or the old Windows 98 PC

[00:32:20] or then the PlayStation, the PlayStation, the PlayStation, the PlayStation.

[00:32:23] I mean, I think it as hard as you can. I remember the remote flying across the room. That, well I remember the remote flying across the room a lot of the times too, just because you were angry. Oh yeah. All right. You're a little bitch, calling me out. Fun fact, at this point we were trying to be like, super like PC and like, censoring ourselves. Oh you fucking bitch.

[00:33:43] But besides that, you notice how I mentioned the Wii mode. No, let's go mini golf. I want to go mini golfing. I'm going to kick your race. This was a sign. Alex losing her shit at golf. All right. All right. All right. Let's not talk about that. We laugh about it now because it's kind of funny. Oh yeah. Alex is like seething inside. She's like, Oh yeah.

[00:35:01] Also, I was like holding this with you when we? Yeah. Still the same, pretty much. I like pretty much everything for the most part. I've been playing a lot of sports. More than like maybe some specific mainstream games. I'm gonna play some more this weekend. Call of Duty.

[00:40:21] many episodes they say I was in together because we live in different the past We'll see. I thought you would. You still haven't finished it. You know, it's on PC now. I know. I need to finish it. Oh, I need. Thank you, Atlas, for final. That's funny. It had just come out on PC at this point. It was not on Switch yet. That's funny. Branching out a little. Yep. Yep. That was a crazy time, though.

[00:43:02] could leave their houses lockdowns weren't happening anymore I think it was I'm sorry, Slade. If no one listens to I mean, it's still it's not that well and that no one listens to. Especially because we're we both work. Yeah, because everyone listened to this and turned around. And I don't think up around five every day. And we I'm up at five every day. Yeah. Now I'm up at four every day.

[00:53:46] and I just kind been able to go back. Yep. Nope. I thought that's my favorite one of these. Fun fact at the time it's recording, Inu Yasha was basically the only anime I really do about. Because I had not. Well, besides like the like the common ones that everyone knows,

Hey, we're going back this year. This is before a really bad experience with Anime Boston. I still blame that mostly on just they sold all the tickets before COVID and then they

[01:07:03] sold extra tickets after COVID. We still talk to her to this day. We're best friends. We're going to the movies tomorrow. That was a joy. And then there are many adventures of just riding on the T. Oh yeah, anytime we have to take the T up to Boston. The T! When has riding the T ever been fun? Take the T. No, we didn't say it was fun. We said they're an adventure.

[01:08:20] We just got Android 17 and 18 walking through Boston.

[01:08:22] Like nothing's, well, during a convention

[01:08:26] or like anime Boston, it's completely normal.

[01:08:27] She's in, no, it's a swamp! And I was like, do you have a bathroom? She's like, I'm sorry, I just went to bed so that I had to stop in a dungeon on the way home. And the bathroom was really gross. I mean, on the way to work. The bathroom was really gross. And I peed for like, so long because I drank so much gummy and I almost peed my pants.

[01:09:42] That's just ironic humor. I'm gonna try and keep these at about an hour to two hours at max. I wanna keep it probably though. You know, we've actually stuck to that for the most part. We don't hit two hours. No, no, two hours are limit. Yeah. Hour to two hours max is what I said. We have stuck to that for the most part.

[01:11:01] There's like maybe a handful of episodes

[01:11:03] that go over the two hour limit.

[01:12:05] You know, every week we both work full time and we both have jobs that like some days

[01:12:10] Some days you get out of work pretty early, but then some days you gotta stay there

And just to comment back on those, because like- Well, the Pokemon episode, I think, is pretty still holds up. We were pretty good for that one. Yeah, but I still feel like though we were very like, oh, we're trying to be smart.

[01:17:44] because like that one, like it was a good episode.

[01:17:47] But like the audio a mistake I hated it but uh I just feel like we're so much more comfortable now and like you know we're just
