[00:00.000 --> 00:30.000] That's what he made it sound like. Sure. But um, yeah. So now going for the game itself, the game is... Oh, Frankie Munoz played Domino. That's funny. That's interesting. You know he's a NASCAR driver now. He is? Yeah. Not good for him, I guess. He wanted to go race cars. [00:30.000 --> 01:00.000] So he's racing cars. Good for him. Hey, he actually was he was acting a dog? No, he went from being Malcolm in the middle. Oh, that's who he wants? Yeah. I remember that. He was Agent Cody Banks. Oh, I remember that. Yeah, I remember that one. He was a lot of things. I never saw the movie, but I saw the commercial slash trailer for it. [01:00.000 --> 01:30.000] But they never played the frickin' movie. So he actually did pretty good in NASCAR. Um, blah. Hey, guys. I'm Bill, a one-time Instagram blogger and now a podcaster. And I'm Alex, the chaotic neutral. And together we are the Gaming and Collecting Podcast. A brother-sister duo. [01:30.000 --> 01:45.000] He talks about gaming. And also anime. And don't forget the collecting. They're sometimes. I forget it. We're just in this Dodger podcast at this point. But anyways, guys, thanks for joining us as we discuss the games that Shave does. [02:00.000 --> 02:07.000] I was doing a countdown and Phil didn't respect the countdown. Bill, what do you have to say for yourself? [02:08.000 --> 02:09.000] It was funny. [02:12.000 --> 02:14.000] You should some water at you. [02:15.000 --> 02:17.000] That's your new favorite channel on the server. [02:17.000 --> 02:26.000] It is. And guess what? I have a co-host. I'm going to start my podcast called water bottles plus nutritional facts. [02:27.000 --> 02:29.000] What was Snickiman? [02:32.000 --> 02:33.000] Lovely. [02:34.000 --> 02:36.000] Happening. Bill, make a logo. [02:38.000 --> 02:42.000] Please make it the garden most garbage looking logo you've ever seen. [02:45.000 --> 02:47.000] Maybe at some point. [02:48.000 --> 02:50.000] Bill got to see Puster today. [02:51.000 --> 02:52.000] I did. [02:52.000 --> 02:53.000] Tilly, my cat. [02:53.000 --> 02:57.000] Alex bought a soundboard, but she's missing some cables, so we're going to have to. [02:57.000 --> 03:03.000] No, no, no. I didn't buy a soundboard. Our wonderful mother gifted at me as an early birthday gift for me. [03:03.000 --> 03:11.000] So thank you, mother. That was very kind. You didn't have to do that. And she gifted us snow shovels, which was also very kind of birth. [03:11.000 --> 03:16.000] So thank you, mother. You didn't have to do that. But it is very appreciated. [03:17.000 --> 03:19.000] Yeah, that's true. [03:19.000 --> 03:21.000] There was another car accident after work today. [03:21.000 --> 03:25.000] Oh, there was. Yeah, the highway was backed up all the way to the merge. [03:25.000 --> 03:35.000] Oh, oh, yeah, I missed that. So like it like literally happened right before. I think I got there. So I think I got by before it got chaotic. [03:35.000 --> 03:42.000] Yeah, it was it was bad. It was a tow truck trying to get through, but he's like honking at everybody and no one was letting him through. [03:43.000 --> 03:51.000] Oh, that fucking sucks. Sorry, Mr. coach. He wasn't there when I was the problem is the accident happened in the worst possible place. [03:51.000 --> 03:55.000] Because it was literally at the spot where everyone's trying to get over right where he's trying to get through. [03:55.000 --> 04:06.000] Yeah, it was a bad. It was a bad spot. But I mean, also, it was a very made sense to me spot that there was an accident there because there's been three accidents this week alone. [04:07.000 --> 04:11.000] It was one of them. There was one on Monday because Monday was also wicked badly. [04:11.000 --> 04:19.000] Oh, but Monday I missed it because I went right. No, wait, actually, no, I didn't because it took I almost was late to dance, which I was worried about. [04:19.000 --> 04:24.000] I've never been late on Monday. So I always get there early. But yeah, no, that that one. [04:24.000 --> 04:29.000] I forgot about that one. I forgot that was this week. That's how life is going. And then it snowed yesterday. [04:29.000 --> 04:34.000] Yeah, and this there was a accident. I didn't get cognitive, but I saw it happen. [04:34.000 --> 04:47.000] Yeah, well, just in this, this snow was like, it wasn't necessarily that there was a lot, but it's so cold that this was more of like the freezing snow, like where everything is icy. [04:47.000 --> 04:54.000] So you also had the people going like 10 miles an hour in the fast lane, like that we're causing accidents. [04:55.000 --> 05:07.000] Well, I went, I had to go down towards the airport yesterday. And I was surprised with how bad the roads were down there. Like, I thought there would be like a lot better by the airport, but they weren't very great. [05:07.000 --> 05:17.000] No, particularly good. And like when I was leaving the airport area, when it came in, it was still light out. But when I was leaving, it was like dark out and like there was points. [05:18.000 --> 05:25.000] I was taking a turn and my car just went. And then I just said, okay. And I just went. [05:27.000 --> 05:39.000] Yeah, I did a little. I just was like, okay, don't panic. Even though in my head, I was like panning. But it was just, it was so icy and just, they didn't do it. Yeah, they didn't do a great job. [05:39.000 --> 05:46.000] I don't think they were expecting it to be as slick as it was going to be. I don't think they were expecting it to come down as fast as it did. [05:46.000 --> 06:00.000] No, yeah, it definitely came out of nowhere. But yep, just another day in Massachusetts. And today it was like bitter cold, like so cold, like it didn't get over 20 today, which was nuts. [06:01.000 --> 06:04.000] Today kind of sucks, but we're not going to get into that. [06:04.000 --> 06:16.000] I know. I'm sorry. I'm going through the same thing, Bill. We already talked about it, but you know, there's other opportunities out there. Don't don't stress. Don't stress. [06:16.000 --> 06:27.000] Remember, posters here, you can always say hi to her. She's kind of rude and unpleasant, but she can always say hi. [06:28.000 --> 06:42.000] I got you cookies. Were they good? I've only had one of them so far. Are they good? Yeah, it's good. It was thick. So it sat it's sitting in my stomach right now and it's digest. [06:42.000 --> 06:47.000] You have any milk with the cookie? No, because I need to need my milk for my stereo. [06:47.000 --> 06:50.000] You got to give milk milk. [06:51.000 --> 06:59.000] This weekend. I don't know what I said. Oh, Bill, you got to go shop right. I'm sorry, but I'm sticking to only shop right for now. [06:59.000 --> 07:08.000] Yeah, probably. The amount of money I spend at Big Y versus shop right. And I bought like about the same things or even geistlers and buy about the same things. [07:08.000 --> 07:19.000] Oh my God, I usually spend like over $100 on groceries. I spent under 100. I haven't done that in months. So yeah, shop right all day, every day. [07:20.000 --> 07:26.000] Yeah, I'll probably look into that this weekend. Yeah, I'm going so if you want to go with someone. [07:26.000 --> 07:34.000] Well, I don't know. I'm thinking I might go Saturday and after night time, maybe I don't know. [07:34.000 --> 07:39.000] I'll figure it out. You'll figure it out. You'll out figure it. [07:39.000 --> 07:46.000] Tilly's getting her nails did trim this weekend. I got a double check when that appointment is actually. [07:46.000 --> 07:50.000] I need to double check. I need to double check. [07:50.000 --> 07:55.000] Double check to this nail appointment. [07:55.000 --> 07:59.000] But yeah, so no, no. [07:59.000 --> 08:04.000] Very important. I need to know. Well, we do that. I'm going to introduce the topic. [08:04.000 --> 08:06.000] No. [08:06.000 --> 08:12.000] So for this episode, we're actually going to be doing another games that shaped this. [08:13.000 --> 08:16.000] And this is a game that I remember. [08:16.000 --> 08:21.000] Pretty vividly from back in the day because we played the ever loving hell out of it. [08:21.000 --> 08:27.000] It was a kid friendly game. So we couldn't play the ever loving hell out of it. [08:27.000 --> 08:31.000] It was a fairly competent kid friendly game too, which made it even more impressive. [08:31.000 --> 08:38.000] But I'm wondering the game we're talking about is 102 Dalmatians puppies to the rescue. [08:39.000 --> 08:42.000] Or the PC. [08:42.000 --> 08:47.000] PlayStation Sega Dreamcast and Game Boy Color technically. [08:47.000 --> 08:49.000] It was on the game. [08:49.000 --> 08:52.000] Yeah, well, I mean, it's a different game, but same name. [08:52.000 --> 08:55.000] It's the same basic idea. [08:55.000 --> 09:00.000] You know, the days back when you get Game Boy Color versions and they were always like completely different games. [09:00.000 --> 09:04.000] They were always garbage. Hot garbage. Well, digital eclipse. [09:05.000 --> 09:06.000] Yeah. [09:06.000 --> 09:07.000] Yeah. [09:07.000 --> 09:08.000] Yeah. [09:08.000 --> 09:09.000] Yeah. [09:09.000 --> 09:12.000] It's spicy garbage made it so it might have been okay. [09:12.000 --> 09:15.000] So yeah, 102 Dalmatians. [09:15.000 --> 09:17.000] I'm sorry, full title. [09:17.000 --> 09:20.000] His knees 102 Dalmatians puppies to the rescue. [09:20.000 --> 09:22.000] I don't like his fate. [09:22.000 --> 09:26.000] I really don't like a cruel is face on the cover of the game. [09:26.000 --> 09:28.000] I'm just going to start it out with that. [09:28.000 --> 09:30.000] So this game is interesting to me. [09:30.000 --> 09:32.000] So it was. [09:33.000 --> 09:37.000] It came out in 24 years old. [09:37.000 --> 09:40.000] Yeah, it came out in 2000. [09:40.000 --> 09:42.000] What? [09:42.000 --> 09:43.000] Yeah. [09:43.000 --> 09:45.000] I'm four years old. [09:45.000 --> 09:46.000] What? [09:46.000 --> 09:47.000] Okay. [09:47.000 --> 09:48.000] Yeah. [09:48.000 --> 09:53.000] So it came out in 2000 and it's a little bit weird. [09:53.000 --> 09:54.000] You're questioning everything. [09:54.000 --> 10:01.000] You're questioning everything. [10:02.000 --> 10:04.000] You're 27. [10:04.000 --> 10:06.000] I don't know. [10:06.000 --> 10:07.000] How old am I? [10:07.000 --> 10:08.000] How old am I? [10:08.000 --> 10:09.000] You're just you're just about 28. [10:09.000 --> 10:12.000] So you're you're you're just about four years old than it. [10:12.000 --> 10:15.000] I can't do math. [10:15.000 --> 10:18.000] My brain hurts me. [10:18.000 --> 10:19.000] That's fine. [10:19.000 --> 10:21.000] Mine's barely functioning today. [10:21.000 --> 10:23.000] Yeah. [10:23.000 --> 10:25.000] So this game. [10:25.000 --> 10:29.000] This game is interesting to me because it's kind of confusing who developed it. [10:30.000 --> 10:40.000] When you boot the game up, it's crystal dynamics logo pops up and it seems like crystal dynamics made it, but most accounts claim that toys for Bob made it. [10:40.000 --> 10:45.000] Which I'm not sure because toys for Bob's logo. [10:45.000 --> 10:49.000] I don't think appears during the startup at all. [10:49.000 --> 10:53.000] But like multiple accounts say toys for Bob made this game. [10:54.000 --> 11:03.000] So I'm going to assume they didn't crystal dynamics just paid for the right or they stuck crystals name on it just a brand recognition. [11:03.000 --> 11:11.000] And it was published by IDOS interactive who owns crystal dynamics and maybe that's part of the reason why. [11:11.000 --> 11:19.000] Along with a distribution by Disney interactive studios before they were a full time publisher. [11:20.000 --> 11:29.000] Yeah, and this game is weird because it's both based off of the 2000 the movie itself 102 dimensions, which also released in 2000. [11:29.000 --> 11:30.000] Do you remember this movie? [11:30.000 --> 11:31.000] No. [11:31.000 --> 11:33.000] I don't remember any of these. [11:33.000 --> 11:35.000] I mean, like, I know the basic pause. [11:35.000 --> 11:40.000] Like, well, Daville wants to make a coat out of all puppy skin, but other than that. [11:40.000 --> 11:43.000] No, I don't really remember. [11:43.000 --> 11:48.000] How people give like Disney shit for like making live action adaptions of all their properties now. [11:48.000 --> 11:49.000] Uh huh. [11:49.000 --> 11:58.000] Well, they were doing that back in the 2000s because the original 101 Dalmatians live action film came out in 96. [11:58.000 --> 12:00.000] When I was birthed. [12:00.000 --> 12:02.000] Yeah, and it did pretty well. [12:02.000 --> 12:07.000] It was interesting because it started Glenn close as Corilla. [12:08.000 --> 12:13.000] And they made a sequel called 102 Dalmatians. [12:13.000 --> 12:16.000] This one also did. [12:16.000 --> 12:24.000] Well, but wasn't nearly as successful as considered a bomb because it didn't really make its budget back worldwide. [12:24.000 --> 12:27.000] Yeah, that's about right. [12:27.000 --> 12:31.000] Yeah, I remember watching it because it was like they hyped it up all the time. [12:31.000 --> 12:34.000] They used to play it on tune Disney all the time back in the day. [12:35.000 --> 12:38.000] I really don't like her face on the title. [12:38.000 --> 12:40.000] The cover of the game. [12:40.000 --> 12:42.000] Yeah, well, because it's very frightening. [12:42.000 --> 12:46.000] So that's that's the thing here. This game is both based off of the though. [12:46.000 --> 12:52.000] It's extremely loosely based off of the film, like barely any of it has to do with the film. [12:52.000 --> 12:56.000] Aside from the name and the character in a couple characters. [12:56.000 --> 13:00.000] The rest of it is based directly off of the 90s television. [13:00.000 --> 13:01.000] Like cartoon. [13:02.000 --> 13:04.000] Do you remember the 101 Dalmatians cartoon? [13:04.000 --> 13:13.000] I feel like briefly, but I could not like I remember it existing, but I couldn't tell you like I couldn't describe a single episode to you at this. [13:13.000 --> 13:19.000] That was like the one where they moved out to the countryside because living in an apartment with 101 Dalmatians was stupid. [13:19.000 --> 13:25.000] Yeah, I don't remember that at all. So it was so clearly this one stuck in my brain. [13:25.000 --> 13:27.000] No, you were you were a fetus then. [13:27.000 --> 13:29.000] So I mean, you probably just don't remember. [13:29.000 --> 13:31.000] I was feel. [13:31.000 --> 13:35.000] Yeah, that was that was on all the time back in the day on the Disney Channel. [13:35.000 --> 13:39.000] You probably remember seeing it, but you don't remember anything about it. [13:39.000 --> 13:43.000] No, could not could not tell you a thing about it. [13:43.000 --> 13:50.000] Yeah, but what makes this game interesting is it combines elements of the movie with that original cartoon series. [13:50.000 --> 13:56.000] So it's kind of this weird hybrid of sorts where you play all the entire aesthetic comes from the cartoon, [13:56.000 --> 14:00.000] but like you play as like the two Dalmatians from the movie. [14:00.000 --> 14:04.000] Like the special the special unique ones that they made for marketing purposes. [14:04.000 --> 14:12.000] The one with Domino ears and then the one with no spots. [14:12.000 --> 14:16.000] The Domino's and then the girl one with no spots. [14:16.000 --> 14:17.000] She was a guy. [14:17.000 --> 14:20.000] Yeah, I believe their names were Domino and Oddball. [14:20.000 --> 14:22.000] I think that was her name. [14:22.000 --> 14:24.000] It was also the third one. [14:24.000 --> 14:28.000] It was a third one in the movie, but he didn't make it for this. [14:28.000 --> 14:30.000] Gerald didn't make it. [14:30.000 --> 14:32.000] I don't remember what his name was. [14:32.000 --> 14:34.000] What? [14:34.000 --> 14:36.000] Oh. [14:36.000 --> 14:38.000] Your mic just gave up there. I did not hear anything. [14:38.000 --> 14:40.000] I said Gerald didn't make it. [14:40.000 --> 14:42.000] And I cried. [14:42.000 --> 14:44.000] Gerald's dad. [14:44.000 --> 14:48.000] That's what he made it sound like. [14:48.000 --> 14:52.000] But yeah, so now going for the game itself, the game is. [14:52.000 --> 14:56.000] Oh, Frankie Munoz played Domino. That's funny. [14:56.000 --> 15:00.000] That's interesting to get. [15:00.000 --> 15:02.000] You know, he's a NASCAR driver now. [15:02.000 --> 15:04.000] He is. [15:04.000 --> 15:05.000] Yeah. [15:05.000 --> 15:07.000] Good for him, I guess. [15:07.000 --> 15:10.000] He wanted to go race cars. [15:10.000 --> 15:12.000] So he's racing cars. [15:12.000 --> 15:14.000] Good for him. [15:15.000 --> 15:18.000] Hey, he actually was acting a dog. [15:18.000 --> 15:22.000] No, he went from being Malcolm in the middle. [15:22.000 --> 15:25.000] Oh, that's who we want? [15:25.000 --> 15:27.000] Yeah. [15:27.000 --> 15:29.000] I remember that. [15:29.000 --> 15:31.000] He was agent Cody banks. [15:31.000 --> 15:34.000] Oh, I remember that. Yeah, I remember that one. [15:34.000 --> 15:35.000] He was a lot of things. [15:35.000 --> 15:38.000] I never saw the movie, but I always saw the commercials [15:38.000 --> 15:42.000] less trailer for it, but they never played the frickin movie. [15:43.000 --> 15:47.000] So he actually did pretty good in NASCAR. [15:47.000 --> 15:50.000] Last year, like his few races, but oh, my God. [15:50.000 --> 15:54.000] The broadcast boot was constantly making Malcolm in the middle jokes every time. [15:54.000 --> 15:56.000] I would have been so annoyed. [15:56.000 --> 15:58.000] And I went in my way. [15:58.000 --> 16:00.000] He was he was just living. [16:00.000 --> 16:04.000] He was just living the good life, to be honest. [16:04.000 --> 16:07.000] But that has nothing to do with this game, aside from him voicing the main character. [16:07.000 --> 16:10.000] What was the story of this game, I guess, then? [16:10.000 --> 16:14.000] Karella kidnaps all the Dalmatians, you have to go find them. [16:14.000 --> 16:18.000] You gotta go find them before she skins them alive to make a goal. [16:18.000 --> 16:20.000] Is that really? [16:20.000 --> 16:21.800] Basically. [16:21.800 --> 16:23.000] Her goal in them. [16:23.000 --> 16:27.000] All the movies was that she wanted all the Dalmatians puppies to make a coat, right? [16:27.000 --> 16:29.000] She wanted like a Dalmatian. [16:29.000 --> 16:31.000] Something like that. [16:31.000 --> 16:32.000] What the fuck? [16:32.000 --> 16:44.000] There's like, well, because they're all in like the final level of this game is literally like a factory where the dogs get encased in glue and they ferg, it's removed. It's, it's fucking weird. [16:44.000 --> 16:45.000] Yeah. [16:45.000 --> 16:49.000] Is that what super glue is? [16:49.000 --> 16:50.000] Yeah. [16:50.000 --> 16:52.000] It's some. [16:52.000 --> 16:55.000] That's terrible. [16:55.000 --> 16:58.000] Ironically, that's not how the movie went. The movie, it was more like she. [16:59.000 --> 17:04.000] Yeah, that was the. [17:04.000 --> 17:06.000] That was the. [17:06.000 --> 17:08.000] Don't call me a little dipstick. [17:08.000 --> 17:11.000] I think that I think that was the, I think that was the third. [17:11.000 --> 17:12.000] Third dog. [17:12.000 --> 17:15.000] No, it's the parents. Their parents done. [17:15.000 --> 17:16.000] Oh, right. [17:16.000 --> 17:17.000] Right. [17:17.000 --> 17:20.000] I feel like dipstick is an insult. [17:20.000 --> 17:22.000] Like I feel like I shouldn't be saying it. [17:22.000 --> 17:23.000] I don't know. [17:23.000 --> 17:25.000] I don't. [17:26.000 --> 17:30.000] Yeah, but it's the plot is very basic. [17:30.000 --> 17:31.000] Yeah. [17:31.000 --> 17:40.000] I mean, it's like this lady's kidnapping puppies to cover them and glue and skin alive. [17:40.000 --> 17:46.000] That might be a bit of an exaggeration to how it actually is, but. [17:46.000 --> 17:52.000] Well, because literally your objective in the game is literally. [17:53.000 --> 17:56.000] The game is a 3D platformer with minor collective. [17:56.000 --> 17:57.000] So it's weird. [17:57.000 --> 18:01.000] It's like a collective on, but it's also a collective bones. [18:01.000 --> 18:02.000] Kind. [18:02.000 --> 18:06.000] So in tokens, I think there's puppy tokens, right? [18:06.000 --> 18:08.000] Wasn't there like a puppy token? [18:08.000 --> 18:09.000] Well, no, you had to. [18:09.000 --> 18:11.000] You had to find the dogs. [18:11.000 --> 18:15.000] Oh, you had to collect the dogs before they turned into supergloop. [18:15.000 --> 18:19.000] Well, they were all stuck in crates and you had to break the crates open and free them. [18:20.000 --> 18:23.000] So it was like the levels were mostly linear. [18:23.000 --> 18:28.000] Like they had an end point, which was like a portal shaped like the 102 Dalmatians logo. [18:28.000 --> 18:30.000] And you would have to. [18:30.000 --> 18:34.000] You'd have to find at least like one or two, three. [18:34.000 --> 18:36.000] It was kind of like Abus gave in a sense. [18:36.000 --> 18:37.000] Only you didn't get. [18:37.000 --> 18:39.000] They didn't fight back when you didn't. [18:39.000 --> 18:41.000] You didn't have to fight them to catch them. [18:41.000 --> 18:43.000] You had to just find them free. [18:43.000 --> 18:45.000] They just were like, thanks. [18:45.000 --> 18:46.000] I'm free. [18:46.000 --> 18:47.000] Yeah. [18:48.000 --> 18:49.000] You did the opposite. [18:49.000 --> 18:50.000] You didn't catch them. [18:50.000 --> 18:51.000] You freed them. [18:51.000 --> 18:52.000] Basically. [18:52.000 --> 18:53.000] Yeah. [18:53.000 --> 18:56.000] That happens. [18:56.000 --> 18:57.000] But, um, yeah. [18:57.000 --> 18:59.000] So you go through a bunch of different levels. [18:59.000 --> 19:00.000] There's a secret items. [19:00.000 --> 19:05.000] You can find bones, all, just all sorts of stuff like objectives. [19:05.000 --> 19:07.000] Each level is pretty small and easy to come through. [19:07.000 --> 19:09.000] Some of them are longer than others. [19:09.000 --> 19:14.000] And they're mostly pretty easy to platform through. [19:14.000 --> 19:16.000] Some of them are harder than others. [19:16.000 --> 19:20.000] The game controls very well for an early 2000s. [19:20.000 --> 19:22.000] 3D platform around PlayStation. [19:22.000 --> 19:25.000] Um, [19:25.000 --> 19:29.000] I remember you being able to play it as a kid. [19:29.000 --> 19:33.000] So like, I think that shows that it was like the right level of [19:33.000 --> 19:37.000] easiness for the audience where that kid could pick it up and play. [19:37.000 --> 19:38.000] Yeah. [19:38.000 --> 19:41.000] Well, like, so the way I look at it is like back in the day, [19:41.000 --> 19:45.000] it would probably take us about, it took us probably like four months to beat this game. [19:45.000 --> 19:46.000] Now it is. [19:46.000 --> 19:48.000] I can beat it in a day if I wanted to. [19:48.000 --> 19:51.000] And I will say, what can I have the graphics? [19:51.000 --> 19:53.000] The skin does not look bad. [19:53.000 --> 19:56.000] I mean, like, it's definitely old, but like, [19:56.000 --> 19:58.000] it honestly from like the screenshots. [19:58.000 --> 19:59.000] I'm looking at it. [19:59.000 --> 20:00.000] I think it's a lot. [20:00.000 --> 20:01.000] Yeah. [20:01.000 --> 20:03.000] It's not a bad looking game, but it means, [20:03.000 --> 20:07.000] especially the Dreamcast port, which cleans it up even farther. [20:07.000 --> 20:08.000] Um, [20:09.000 --> 20:11.000] but that's actually the way I play it now. [20:11.000 --> 20:14.000] Cause our old, our old PS one version doesn't work very well. [20:14.000 --> 20:19.000] Unfortunately, we beat the shit out of that game. [20:19.000 --> 20:20.000] Well, we played it. [20:20.000 --> 20:23.000] I mean, it shows how much we've actually, we played it. [20:23.000 --> 20:25.000] You know, we did a lot. [20:25.000 --> 20:28.000] It was almost constantly in our, um, [20:28.000 --> 20:29.000] it's the Dreamcast game. [20:29.000 --> 20:34.000] Do they also look have Dalmatian print on the disc? [20:34.000 --> 20:36.000] Or was that just the, oh, that's awesome. [20:37.000 --> 20:39.000] It's a, it, the Dreamcast versions identical. [20:39.000 --> 20:41.000] It just looks slightly cleaner. [20:41.000 --> 20:43.000] It plays the loads faster. [20:43.000 --> 20:44.000] It plays a little smoother. [20:44.000 --> 20:47.000] Basically, it was basically like the PC version. [20:47.000 --> 20:49.000] Yeah. [20:49.000 --> 20:54.000] Um, I remember too, cause you'd play a bunch of levels and then, um, [20:54.000 --> 20:55.000] you'd get a boss fight. [20:55.000 --> 20:59.000] Like, I remember one of them was literally Corella in a helicopter [20:59.000 --> 21:01.000] and you'd have to launch pineapples that are. [21:02.000 --> 21:04.000] On top, on top of Big Ben. [21:04.000 --> 21:06.000] On top of Big Ben. [21:06.000 --> 21:08.000] I need to look this up. [21:08.000 --> 21:09.000] Look up boss. [21:09.000 --> 21:12.000] There was, there was pineapple catapults on Big Ben for some reason. [21:12.000 --> 21:13.000] Don't ask. [21:13.000 --> 21:15.000] I mean, oh wait. [21:15.000 --> 21:16.000] That is, that is. [21:16.000 --> 21:18.000] I don't think that's from the game. [21:18.000 --> 21:20.000] I hope this isn't from the game. [21:20.000 --> 21:22.000] Cause why is her face like that? [21:22.000 --> 21:26.000] It's definitely not from the game. [21:26.000 --> 21:28.000] I don't think it is. [21:28.000 --> 21:30.000] Um, yeah. [21:30.000 --> 21:32.000] But like the first boss is. [21:32.000 --> 21:36.000] She has like a tomato launcher too. [21:36.000 --> 21:38.000] A tomato launcher helicopter. [21:38.000 --> 21:39.000] Yeah, I don't. [21:39.000 --> 21:41.000] She's in a boat. [21:41.000 --> 21:43.000] They put Corella de Villain. [21:43.000 --> 21:45.000] Any single weird little thing. [21:45.000 --> 21:46.000] And they were like, all right. [21:46.000 --> 21:47.000] Oh, yeah. [21:47.000 --> 21:48.000] The boat, the boat boss. [21:48.000 --> 21:51.000] Like you have to throw watermelons at her at one point. [21:51.000 --> 21:53.000] She's in a boat. [21:53.000 --> 21:54.000] Yeah. [21:54.000 --> 21:55.000] Um, yeah. [21:55.000 --> 21:57.000] The whole game is silly. [21:58.000 --> 22:00.000] Like it's very much like the show. [22:00.000 --> 22:02.000] It fits the vibe very well. [22:02.000 --> 22:04.000] Uh, there's fun too. [22:04.000 --> 22:06.000] Cause there's like certain levels with, um. [22:06.000 --> 22:11.000] Corella's henchmen will appear, like including the two classic guys from, uh. [22:11.000 --> 22:13.000] And they'll like try and catch it. [22:13.000 --> 22:14.000] Yeah. [22:14.000 --> 22:15.000] From the movies. [22:15.000 --> 22:16.000] And then there's. [22:16.000 --> 22:17.000] For your coat. [22:17.000 --> 22:21.000] There's also the one from a hundred and two Dalmatians who was like. [22:21.000 --> 22:24.000] He was like a fashion guy. [22:25.000 --> 22:26.000] And he wore like cheetah print. [22:26.000 --> 22:28.000] And I think his name was like lapel or something. [22:28.000 --> 22:30.000] He would also, he would also appear. [22:30.000 --> 22:34.000] Um, and what was fun is you would have to, um. [22:34.000 --> 22:37.000] You'd have to, uh, trick them into like, uh. [22:37.000 --> 22:42.000] You basically have to have to have to trick them into falling into a trap to get rid of them. [22:42.000 --> 22:47.000] Um, like I think in the first level, uh, the one of the tall, [22:48.000 --> 22:54.000] and then you can actually, uh, lead him up to a bee's nest and he'll whack the bee's nest and then that he'll, that'll get rid of him. [22:54.000 --> 22:56.000] They'll get like animal crossing. [22:56.000 --> 22:59.000] He'll get attacked by the swarm by the bees. [22:59.000 --> 23:00.000] Pretty much. [23:00.000 --> 23:06.000] Uh, there's another level farther down where like the fat one is like chasing you and you, you have to basically just remove a sewer. [23:06.000 --> 23:10.000] And you, you, you, you make him fall down the sewer. [23:10.000 --> 23:12.000] And he breaks all his bones. [23:12.000 --> 23:13.000] No, he comes back later. [23:13.000 --> 23:15.000] Oh, in a, in a, in a cast. [23:15.000 --> 23:16.000] No. [23:16.000 --> 23:18.000] How did he not break any bones? [23:18.000 --> 23:19.000] Cartoon logic. [23:19.000 --> 23:21.000] How did a dog lift it? [23:21.000 --> 23:22.000] The dogs are lifted. [23:22.000 --> 23:26.000] How did the dogs doing anything that the dogs are doing in this game? [23:26.000 --> 23:27.000] You're right. [23:27.000 --> 23:28.000] They have barks of steel. [23:28.000 --> 23:30.000] They lift the manholes off using barks alone. [23:30.000 --> 23:32.000] That was a thing. [23:32.000 --> 23:33.000] Yeah. [23:33.000 --> 23:40.000] Oh, see, I'm vividly like, I remember seeing this game, but I don't remember much of the gameplay. [23:40.000 --> 23:42.000] So that was the game. [23:43.000 --> 23:49.000] All of Corella is like, boy, like henchmen robots that she would make throughout the levels. [23:49.000 --> 23:50.000] They were weak to barking. [23:50.000 --> 23:53.000] Like the barks like, oh, damaged her. [23:53.000 --> 23:58.000] That seems like quite a flaw for someone who wants to make a barcode out of dogs. [23:58.000 --> 24:00.000] Corella wasn't the smartest. [24:00.000 --> 24:02.000] Um, but she was very fashionable. [24:02.000 --> 24:04.000] Well, it wasn't so much the barks. [24:04.000 --> 24:08.000] It was like high pitch sounds or something, which I guess the dog barks counted as. [24:09.000 --> 24:10.000] They must have been yepers. [24:10.000 --> 24:11.000] Like. [24:11.000 --> 24:16.000] Did you hear that? [24:16.000 --> 24:18.000] But yeah, like you'd go through the levels. [24:18.000 --> 24:19.000] Like some of them were funny too. [24:19.000 --> 24:25.000] Like, I know the lapelte guy at one point, like you basically like have to make him fall into a sarcophagus. [24:25.000 --> 24:29.000] And there's like a tiny little hole that the dogs can get out from, but he's too big to get through. [24:29.000 --> 24:33.000] So you basically jump in the sarcophagus and he's like, he jumps in it to catch you. [24:33.000 --> 24:37.000] And you've already snuck out by that point, he gets stuck in it. [24:38.000 --> 24:40.000] Clustrophobia. [24:40.000 --> 24:46.000] He also become, he also gets stuck in a tree, like a, like a hollowed out tree trunk at one point. [24:46.000 --> 24:49.000] And then he walks around the level in the tree trunk still. [24:49.000 --> 24:53.000] Like there's some goofy action in this game. [24:53.000 --> 24:55.000] That is silly. [24:55.000 --> 24:57.000] That is silly. [24:57.000 --> 25:05.000] That's pretty good rankings too from all the like, you know, it's a very, very solid game. [25:05.000 --> 25:06.000] Yeah. [25:06.000 --> 25:12.000] No, yeah, I mean, I mean, like, I remember it wasn't a game that you ever gave up and quit [25:12.000 --> 25:13.000] doing when you were younger. [25:13.000 --> 25:19.000] And I feel like that's the true test because when you're younger, if you don't throw a temper tantrum [25:19.000 --> 25:22.000] and like freak out over the game, it means it was good. [25:22.000 --> 25:26.000] And it was leveled appropriately for the audience that it was made for. [25:26.000 --> 25:28.000] I'm pretty sure I probably. [25:28.000 --> 25:33.000] I'm probably sure I didn't get mad at this game multiple times though, because I guarantee, [25:34.000 --> 25:36.000] when you're a kid, you get so easily frustrated. [25:36.000 --> 25:37.000] That's the thing. [25:37.000 --> 25:40.000] And you played it over and over and over. [25:40.000 --> 25:45.000] The big Ben level, I know in particular, it was hard because you had to climb up the frickin pistons [25:45.000 --> 25:48.000] and that was like somewhat precise platforming. [25:48.000 --> 25:50.000] Big Ben. [25:50.000 --> 25:53.000] It was a level that there was a Stonehenge level. [25:53.000 --> 25:56.000] Yeah, you had to knock over Stonehenge at one point. [25:56.000 --> 26:00.000] No, I think that was how I think that was how you took out one of the henchmen. [26:00.000 --> 26:02.000] I think you had to make him knock over Stonehenge. [26:02.000 --> 26:05.000] And then he got arrested for destroying a public landmark. [26:05.000 --> 26:08.000] I think he got crushed by one of the rocks. [26:08.000 --> 26:10.000] Yeah, it's cartoon. [26:10.000 --> 26:11.000] Was he dead? [26:11.000 --> 26:14.000] He had to have been dead at that point. [26:14.000 --> 26:18.000] One of my favorites is there's a mission where you're supposed to, um, [26:18.000 --> 26:22.000] where you have to, uh, you're helping out at a farm. [26:22.000 --> 26:26.000] And like one of the missions is you have to go hijack the tractor to knock over the outhouse [26:26.000 --> 26:29.000] because they just installed indoor plumbing. [26:30.000 --> 26:32.000] And then as you're knocking it over, like you hear the wife, [26:32.000 --> 26:37.000] the house complaining that she doesn't like the new indoor plumbing and she wants to go back to the outhouse. [26:37.000 --> 26:39.000] Like oops. [26:39.000 --> 26:41.000] Who would even argue that? [26:41.000 --> 26:48.000] I think it was a very stereotypical scene. Let's just say. [26:48.000 --> 26:51.000] Anytime. [26:51.000 --> 26:56.000] Did they make any other down 101 or Dalmatian games in general? [26:56.000 --> 26:58.000] Or was this the only one? [26:58.000 --> 27:03.000] This was the only one like this as far as I know. [27:03.000 --> 27:08.000] Cause I believe in terms of games. [27:08.000 --> 27:11.000] Let's see. The only other 101 Dalmatians games. [27:11.000 --> 27:14.000] So this was the final 101 Dalmatians game. [27:14.000 --> 27:16.000] Oh, okay. [27:16.000 --> 27:19.000] There was Dalmatian print studio. [27:19.000 --> 27:22.000] You could do arts and graphs. [27:22.000 --> 27:25.000] I mean, that sounds like a game for me. [27:26.000 --> 27:29.000] There was the Disney animated storybook version of the game. [27:29.000 --> 27:31.000] Okay. Also fun game. [27:31.000 --> 27:32.000] Love that. [27:32.000 --> 27:37.000] And there was apparently a game called 101 Dalmatians Escape from Deville Manor. [27:37.000 --> 27:41.000] But this game is so obscure it doesn't even have a Wikipedia page. [27:41.000 --> 27:43.000] Oh, I found something. [27:43.000 --> 27:45.000] It's on a. [27:45.000 --> 27:51.000] This game was based on the 1996 live action movie. [27:52.000 --> 27:55.000] So the first live action. [27:55.000 --> 27:59.000] Although the character designs were based on the animated film. [27:59.000 --> 28:04.000] The plot features two Dalmatian puppies patches. [28:04.000 --> 28:09.000] Not to be confused with patch, whoever fuck patches and wizard. [28:09.000 --> 28:14.000] And their adventures escaping captivity in Guelajeville's mansion. [28:14.000 --> 28:17.000] Oh, this was a goofy PC game and it looks. [28:18.000 --> 28:22.000] It looks somewhat from the point of views of the puppies called puppy. [28:22.000 --> 28:24.000] You will play them. [28:24.000 --> 28:26.000] What the hell? [28:26.000 --> 28:27.000] There's an. [28:27.000 --> 28:28.000] Oh, it's a puzzle game. [28:28.000 --> 28:31.000] There's an evil furnace in this game. [28:31.000 --> 28:33.000] I mean, why not? [28:33.000 --> 28:35.000] But it was a puzzle game. [28:35.000 --> 28:37.000] It was just straight up. [28:37.000 --> 28:40.000] There's some nightmare fuel in this game. [28:40.000 --> 28:42.000] Trying to see. [28:42.000 --> 28:44.000] Was there some live action? [28:45.000 --> 28:48.000] It looks like they actually animated some like scenes in this. [28:48.000 --> 28:50.000] Or those are stills, but. [28:50.000 --> 28:52.000] I think those are stills. [28:52.000 --> 28:54.000] Oh, yeah. [28:54.000 --> 28:57.000] I don't know anything about that game, but it. [28:57.000 --> 28:59.000] It looks somewhat frightening. [28:59.000 --> 29:04.000] In an uncanny in like it uncanny way. [29:04.000 --> 29:06.000] I need to. [29:06.000 --> 29:07.000] Yeah. [29:07.000 --> 29:12.000] Well, and they have to escape the mansion before they get turned into a go. [29:13.000 --> 29:16.000] Yeah, I'll stick to 102 Dalmatians puppies to the rescue. [29:16.000 --> 29:18.000] At least that game's fun. [29:18.000 --> 29:21.000] At least that game's fun and not scary. [29:21.000 --> 29:23.000] Oh, you. [29:23.000 --> 29:26.000] No, that that looks like a shitty PC game that won't work anymore. [29:26.000 --> 29:28.000] Well. [29:28.000 --> 29:33.000] There was also 102 Dalmatians activity center. [29:33.000 --> 29:36.000] What's that? [29:36.000 --> 29:41.000] Probably a waste of time. [29:42.000 --> 29:44.000] It is. [29:44.000 --> 29:49.000] Brings the beloved new generation of puppies to life. [29:49.000 --> 29:55.000] There are lots of spots of gameplay experiences that have something for everyone. [29:55.000 --> 29:59.000] It's arcade action. [29:59.000 --> 30:07.000] Uh. [30:08.000 --> 30:10.000] You could there. [30:10.000 --> 30:14.000] Well, I thought it was going to list more things that just said arcade action. [30:14.000 --> 30:15.000] That was it. [30:15.000 --> 30:17.000] Um, so I'm assuming it's arcade action. [30:17.000 --> 30:20.000] It looks like it's a bunch of mini games. [30:20.000 --> 30:23.000] That probably makes a lot of sense. [30:23.000 --> 30:26.000] Many games. [30:26.000 --> 30:27.000] Many games. [30:27.000 --> 30:31.000] Yeah, I'm doing more research and I still can't figure out who made this game game. [30:31.000 --> 30:33.000] Oh, the 100. [30:34.000 --> 30:35.000] The one we talked about. [30:35.000 --> 30:37.000] The one that changed our childhood. [30:37.000 --> 30:38.000] Yeah. [30:38.000 --> 30:40.000] You're not. [30:40.000 --> 30:43.000] Well, no, it's every like thing gives a different answer. [30:43.000 --> 30:46.000] It's either crystal dynamics or it's toys for Bob. [30:46.000 --> 30:47.000] I'm not sure. [30:47.000 --> 30:49.000] You know who it really was? [30:49.000 --> 30:50.000] Me. [30:50.000 --> 30:52.000] I did it. [30:52.000 --> 30:53.000] I made the game. [30:53.000 --> 30:55.000] I'm sure you did. [30:55.000 --> 30:59.000] As a four year old, I made the game. [30:59.000 --> 31:00.000] Yeah. [31:01.000 --> 31:04.000] Yeah, there's not much left to say about it. [31:04.000 --> 31:08.000] It's a pretty basic game for the time. [31:08.000 --> 31:10.000] It was fun. [31:10.000 --> 31:20.000] I was actually just looking up like just some people's like thoughts on the game and their memories and a lot of people looks like look back on the game with the same fondness of like. [31:20.000 --> 31:22.000] Oh, this was really fun for our childhood. [31:22.000 --> 31:23.000] It was a perfect. [31:24.000 --> 31:25.000] I'm thinking about it. [31:25.000 --> 31:40.000] I was like looking through and I'm like, I'm trying to think if there was a moment in this game that was generally like bad and I really can't think of one. So that's probably a good sign. If anything, they were. I think there was maybe a carnival level that had some mini games that you had to play that was kind of annoying. [31:40.000 --> 31:41.000] Yeah. [31:41.000 --> 31:51.000] I mean, but I don't think it was like Jimmy Neutron where you had to beat them. I think it was more of just a, oh, I don't need to do this. I'm moving on to other things. [31:52.000 --> 31:55.000] There wasn't like a game ending moment, like say. [31:57.000 --> 32:03.000] There was like, there wasn't like a mash the button puzzle early on that we get a kid stuck or like a. [32:03.000 --> 32:09.000] Pressure pressure stage where you have to like keep the meter at a certain point kind of thing. [32:09.000 --> 32:13.000] There wasn't a weird gameplay chain thing that like would just like. [32:13.000 --> 32:16.000] Stop a kid in their tracks, basically. [32:16.000 --> 32:17.000] Oh, okay. [32:17.000 --> 32:23.000] So yeah, I remember being very fun. Yeah, I remember watching it and being very fun because Bill. [32:23.000 --> 32:28.000] Why you let me play it? No, you put you tried playing it and you got frustrated because you were. [32:28.000 --> 32:34.000] No, no, no, I don't remember that. Stop bullying me. [32:34.000 --> 32:36.000] Bill's a bully. [32:36.000 --> 32:40.000] You're the one that said in the past that this isn't your type of game. [32:40.000 --> 32:42.000] Oh, [32:42.000 --> 32:49.000] this water is proudly sourced in Broadway spring. [32:49.000 --> 32:56.000] White seater spring Dallas ever green spring and forever. [32:56.000 --> 33:00.000] And bill don't remember. Don't forget. [33:00.000 --> 33:09.000] This cap is a small part and it poses as a choking hazard, particularly for people named William. [33:10.000 --> 33:11.000] Oh, well, [33:11.000 --> 33:12.000] named Bill. [33:12.000 --> 33:14.000] It's in the fine print. [33:14.000 --> 33:16.000] There's no nutrition facts. [33:16.000 --> 33:17.000] So what? [33:17.000 --> 33:18.000] They put the facts. [33:18.000 --> 33:23.000] I need to know zero calories. [33:23.000 --> 33:25.000] What is that? [33:25.000 --> 33:26.000] What? [33:26.000 --> 33:27.000] What? [33:27.000 --> 33:28.000] Bill? [33:28.000 --> 33:30.000] A green tea. [33:30.000 --> 33:33.000] A green tea by who who made it? [33:33.000 --> 33:35.000] What are the facts? [33:35.000 --> 33:37.000] Have me. [33:37.000 --> 33:40.000] Tell me who made it. [33:40.000 --> 33:42.000] Who made it? [33:42.000 --> 33:44.000] Who made it? [33:44.000 --> 33:45.000] It's by a brand name, [33:45.000 --> 33:46.000] Steeze. [33:46.000 --> 33:48.000] Green tea, [33:48.000 --> 33:50.000] Steeze. [33:50.000 --> 33:52.000] Steeze. [33:52.000 --> 33:53.000] So, [33:53.000 --> 34:01.000] out of all the games that we've chatted about from our childhood, this is, I think, one of the better ones overall. [34:02.000 --> 34:10.000] You said it's so dramatic that it didn't even go through it. I didn't even hear it. [34:10.000 --> 34:18.000] So. [34:18.000 --> 34:22.000] You just, you just referenced the D's nuts guy. [34:22.000 --> 34:24.000] I think. [34:24.000 --> 34:28.000] Is like broken homeless now or what I've heard. [34:28.000 --> 34:31.000] Oh, that's so sad. [34:31.000 --> 34:33.000] I've heard he's not doing well. [34:33.000 --> 34:34.000] Let's just say. [34:34.000 --> 34:35.000] Hey, Bill. [34:35.000 --> 34:37.000] I just want to let you know that you drink. [34:37.000 --> 34:39.000] It's simple, natural. [34:39.000 --> 34:42.000] You're a green tea. [34:42.000 --> 34:44.000] A lot of fat girls. [34:44.000 --> 34:47.000] I love the facts. [34:47.000 --> 34:52.000] You can take 65 milligrams of natural caffeine. [34:52.000 --> 34:54.000] 12 cans per. [34:54.000 --> 34:56.000] Yeah. [34:57.000 --> 35:01.000] But yeah, so other than that, though, not, not a whole lot to add. [35:01.000 --> 35:07.000] This game is a very well made game in a lot of ways. And honestly, it's. [35:07.000 --> 35:08.000] And I ruined it. [35:08.000 --> 35:11.000] And I ruined the game. [35:11.000 --> 35:17.000] It's a kids game that I feel like was perfect for the time and has held up incredibly well. [35:17.000 --> 35:18.000] Yes. [35:18.000 --> 35:23.000] To the point where I don't even know if you kids game is really the right game because it's just a good game. [35:23.000 --> 35:25.000] An nostalgic game. [35:25.000 --> 35:29.000] A good game for the time being. [35:29.000 --> 35:32.000] But yeah, kind of a short episode this time around. [35:32.000 --> 35:37.000] I mean, it was a crappy day, so it's probably a bad day. [35:37.000 --> 35:41.000] And I ruined it by doing it just not stroke. [35:41.000 --> 35:44.000] Yeah. [35:44.000 --> 35:51.000] I can see Bill's like, you guys can't see it, but I can see like the ticking time bomb of annoyance above his head. [35:51.000 --> 35:56.000] And it's going to blow in the edges. [35:56.000 --> 35:57.000] Yeah. [35:57.000 --> 36:02.000] Hey, you signed up for me to be your co host on this podcast. [36:02.000 --> 36:04.000] This was in the fine print. [36:04.000 --> 36:06.000] You knew this was coming. [36:06.000 --> 36:07.000] Yeah. [36:07.000 --> 36:09.000] Except your fate. [36:09.000 --> 36:10.000] Yeah. [36:10.000 --> 36:14.000] So anyways, guys, once again, thanks for joining us on the gaming. [36:14.000 --> 36:16.000] Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. [36:16.000 --> 36:22.000] Everyone send Bill some nice well wishes. [36:22.000 --> 36:25.000] Three, three weeks from now. [36:25.000 --> 36:28.000] It was still count. [36:28.000 --> 36:29.000] Okay. [36:29.000 --> 36:31.000] He's having a bad day. [36:31.000 --> 36:38.000] But tell him that he's great in that he is great. [36:39.000 --> 36:43.000] Tell him that you all love the podcast. [36:43.000 --> 36:47.000] And please keep listening. [36:47.000 --> 36:48.000] And you know what? [36:48.000 --> 36:52.000] Just because you're having a bad day, I won't interrupt you for the rest of your outro. [36:52.000 --> 36:53.000] I promise. [36:53.000 --> 36:55.000] I won't do anything weird at the end either. [36:55.000 --> 37:00.000] I'll be silent for the rest of the episode just because you're having a bad day. [37:00.000 --> 37:02.000] Continue. [37:02.000 --> 37:06.000] So as I was saying.
