Hey. Welcome back to Chillscape. A comfy, cozy pocket dimension where you can lean as far back as you want, turn your brain off, and let the chill video game music take you away. I'm your host, Aaron. And for any and all info about the show, check out the website, chillscape.xyz.
Aaron:You'll find my socials, links to the show on your favorite player, even on YouTube, and and a whole heck of a lot more. But enough about me. In this episode, we're gonna be enjoying the ambiance of Downtown Neon City with lots of late night city vibes. So here's our first block. We're gonna be hanging out in the rooftop lounge of our apartment building, having a cigarette and sipping a cup of coffee to songs from games like Elevator Returns, Power Dolls five, Virtua Quest, Rosetsu, and Shin Megami Tensei four.
Aaron:And I want you all to know that this track from Shin Megami Tensei four is probably one of my favorite tracks ever. It's the the map theme to the whole game. It's it's so fucking good. So, yeah, let's sit back and relax on that dollar store lawn chair that you brought up there one time, and I'll catch you after this block. And we're back.
Aaron:On to the next next block. I've got a special guest to host this one, so take it away, Jacob.
Kate:Wow. Wow. Wow. You're listening to Chillscape, a chill video game music podcast. My name is Jacob McCourt, and I've selected the next block of tunes for you.
Kate:I'm a content creator who makes content mostly around indie games, both in video on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube shorts at Jacob McCourt, but also in podcast form. If you like book clubs, check out the Left Behind Game Club. And if you're looking for takes on more modern titles, check out Crossplay Conversations. You can find them both where podcasts are found. Now for the music.
Kate:The theme of this block of songs is the rain. We have a good mix of music, old and new here. You'll hear tracks from Tunic, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Donkey Kong Country, Halo three ODST, Life is Strange, True Colors, and Afterlove EP. The energy in the block starts low and then picks up steam as you go. What I really love about the rain is you can feel so many different emotions with it.
Kate:You can calmly lose yourself in the rhythm of the rain on your windowsill on a summer weekend day. You can question every decision that you've made up until this point while getting caught in a thunderstorm. Or you can feel hopeful about the future as you walk through your misty neighborhood after a particularly good day. You know what Dolly always said, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain. This block will take us through all of that musically.
Kate:Enjoy.
Aaron:We're back again. And for our final block, we're going for a midnight drive through the city, enjoying the reflections of neon lit signs and sounds of our tires splashing through puddles. And, we're gonna drive wherever our heart takes us. So we've got songs from games like Tome, Gun Valkyrie, Tokyo Highway Battle, Digimon Story Cyber Saloon, and FateExtra. So drive safe and remember, click it or tick it.
Aaron:See you in a bit. Alright. That'll do it for this episode. Before I wanna go, I wanna give a quick thank you to everyone that supports the show, as well as my other podcast, Super Ghost. We got Jason Chastain, Logic Drift, Ryan Wilson, Will, Dave C, Quest 64, well known Nintendo 64 game, Matt a k a Stormageddon, Kevin Demo, President Lieutenant Jeff Miners of the Admiral's Club, Trey, Jameson Empire, and Jared Schrader.

I'll I'll buy you a beverage. So yeah, join me again in two weeks or join the Patreon for two for $8 a month for early episodes, shout outs, monthly bonus block of jams.
