Speaker 1:

What it do, fellow VGM freaks? It's Aaron, and welcome to the first official episode of Chillscape, a very chill, very dank, very mossy VGM podcast. Your monthly escape into the void, away from all the the garbage of life, you know, work, everything, to just escape and hang out and sit down, relax with some sweet, cozy, chill VGM. And, you know, with December right around the corner, we're probably I don't know when this is gonna release, but probably by the November, if not in December, but that doesn't matter. Anyway, yeah, with with December right around the corner, why not do the first ever episode of Chillscape all about cozy, chilly, wintery VGM?

Speaker 1:

But let's get a little bit of housecleaning out of the way. For anything and everything about the show, go check out chillscape.xyz, the official website of the show. You can find the socials on there, which for now, or I'm not sure, is just my personal socials, like Instagram and Blue Sky and YouTube. So go ahead and follow those if you want, I guess, updates about the show. I also I also shitpost a lot on on Blue Sky in Instagram, so be prepared for a lot of that.

Speaker 1:

Just random garbage that I find on Facebook. I'll I'll post on Blue Sky. But, yeah. Follow those for more info about the show. You can find links to your favorite player on there as well too.

Speaker 1:

Hit the subscribe button, and whether you listen to fucking Metacast or Deezer or God forbid iHeartRadio. Go listen to the show on there. Of course, there's other apps, of course. And even you can grab you can grab the RSS feed from there as well too. But, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Go ahead and check out all that. And you know what? With all that out of the way, let's get to block number one, the Dreamcast Dreamscape. We've got tracks from Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Sonic Adventure, Rip and Rider Snowboarding, and Echo the Dolphin Defender of the Future. And for some reason, Rip'n Riders Snowboarding does not have a composer listed, and I've looked everywhere, like, everywhere, and I could not find who the composer is of the soundtrack to that game, which is banging, by the way.

Speaker 1:

Great sound track, but there's no composer listed, I guess. Now, let's get to those tunes, and I'll come right back at you after the after the block. Goodbye. Alright. We're back.

Speaker 1:

And goddamn, does that Christmas on Doubita track hit real goddamn hard? Like, I get anything from Shenmue. It's me real hard. Shenmue in general makes me real nostalgic for, like, no reason at all. Didn't grow up with the game, but, yeah, it's good.

Speaker 1:

Next up, we've got a block I like to call 16 bit Winter Wonderland. We've got tracks from Secret of Mana, Donkey Kong Country two, Diddy's Conquest, Sorcerean or Sorcerean. I don't know how it's pronounced. Ys book one and two of Ancient East Vanished, and Earthbound. And if you're a big fan of Earthbound like me, it's one my favorite games of all time.

Speaker 1:

If you're a big Earthbound freak like me, you'll know exactly which track is coming from Earthbound, for this particular episode anyway. Then I I guess I should mention that I tried to limit this block to just, like SNES TurboGrafx 16, Sega Genesis. It was kinda hard to find tracks from games from other systems that weren't, you know, the I guess, like, the big three. But, yeah, I I I did my best. I got at least two from the TurboGrafx 16.

Speaker 1:

I'm very proud of that. Yeah. Sega Genesis SNES, of course. I tried to not make it all about the SNES because I I could put, like, fucking, what, 12 more down for this if if I had the the time and the sanity and everything. But, yeah, we'll get to that block, and we'll be back in a bit.

Speaker 1:

Hey. Thanks for coming back. Hope you're staying hydrated and nice and warm, you know, all that. Sit by the fire, warm up your hands, all that good stuff. Next up is a a block that I hope to make a, I guess, like a regular thing on the show, listener requests.

Speaker 1:

I I know in the trailer, I said I was gonna try to get requests from our patrons over at patreon.com/superghostsite, which you can sign up for and help the show for 2 to $4 a month. Yeah. In the trailer, I said I was gonna get requests only from the patrons, but I wanna this is the first episode, man. Come on. You gotta gotta warm everybody up.

Speaker 1:

Got requests from non patrons as well. You know, who cares? But, yeah, next block, chock full of sweet recommendations from sweet, awesome, cool people. We've got a track for Ristar that was recommended by Dre of FineTime. Got a track from Bomberman 64 recommended by my fellow cohost on Super Ghost, Jerry.

Speaker 1:

One for Mario Kart 64 from my man, Shreeky. Go check him out on YouTube. Check from Kirby's Epic Yarn from Jameson, who hosts the excellent BGNM Podcast, Bar Silence. And last one, Chrono Trigger from Jake from Press Me to Cancel. So let's check those out, and we'll, we'll see you in just a minute.

Speaker 1:

Alright. That's it folks. That's pretty much the show. If you listen this far, thank you. We love you.

Speaker 1:

And if you enjoy the show, please feel free to DM me anywhere and tell me, Hey Aaron, love the show. Your hair is great. You you wear great pants. I don't know. Draw me something cool on your phone and send it to me.

Speaker 1:

That'd be really cool. I'd like to see that kind of shit. And, yeah, again, like I said at beginning, you can check out everything about the show at chillscape.xyz. All my social's there, or I mean, even the Patreon is there too if you wanna support the show. We don't have to.

Speaker 1:

And, yeah, read and review the show, wherever you listen to it from, leave a comment, all that gobbledy cook. And I'm gonna have another song play us out of here, and we'll see you guys next time. Well, I don't know what what we'll do for the next episode, but, yeah, bye.
