Hello everybody, and welcome to another episode a brand new year of the Elder Trolls Gaming Podcast. If you're new joining us, we are three brothers who we get together and we talk about gaming, and we talk about tech, TV, movies and other nerdy things too. I am take it Easy, Jon Oh, and I'm Nasty Day and I'm dand off the Wise, dand Off the Wise. And today we'll be discussing the year ahead, the year ahead gaming in twenty twenty four. Where will it take us? What road is awaiting? What a journey? It's been a while. The holidays are over. We're back at the grind. We're back at the grind. Been grinded, been grinding the AI battles, the AI artwork, lots of video editing, and we've run into some problems that may affect the Battle Royale going forward. Let's let's head over to Nate with the story. Oh, the last fight we were doing, I don't know if we can well, we can say it since we did the teaser for it. So we're doing a Shao Kan versus Credos fight. And I was getting to the images and the moment, like halfway through, I had a bunch of images made already of both Kratos and show Khan, and they weren't that great and they weren't getting better. So I just kept crunching along, crunching along, and then all of a sudden I was hit with like a like a policy, guideline policy, h copyright the thing, No, not a copyright, but a content policy. So I'm like, what I'm doing the same ship as I've done for all the other fights. And I'm like, what is the content policy that I'm like triggering or whatever? I asked him, and he's like, oh, it can't depict any violence what like, but like there's no violence here. He's holding an axe, Like, there's no blood in the scene, there's nothing, He's just holding his axe. And then it said something it's like it may not be violent, but it like predicts violence or yeah, And I was arguing with the AI. I'm like, this is fucking stupid. You let me do this the whole time, and now you will not make any more images of somebody. And I was like fine. I was like, make Crato's hold pillows, and he still wouldn't fucking do it. Wow, still wouldn't. So then I was fighting how to make It was just a fucking nightmare, and I gave up and I was like, no, I'm not doing that shit. So I don't know we were able to get enough. I think that I'm just gonna do the animation video, but don't expect like the best AI images from the series. Unfortunately, because the fight it's fucking awesome. That sucks. I was trying to get some things for it using Stable Diffusion. I've been playing a lot with Stable Diffusion locally over the holidays, learned a lot about it, how to do different things. It's really impressive what this can do. And I was just kind of like addicted to it. I was like, man, this is fucking crazy. This is good because I didn't had unlimited prompts right like doing it locally. Anyone with an RTX card who wants to try generating some AI art without paying for like an online service or using Dolly or mid Journey or whatever, you can do it. If you look up how to install automatic one one one one. You can just look that up on YouTube and you'll find lots of tutorials on how to get it going. But I was hooked, and because I could just unlimited just try again, try again, just for free, and it doesn't take that long. It depends on the resolution and what you're asking to do. But yeah, it's crazy, but like there's so many different things you can do, Like you can add reference images and it will like tweak the image and you can there's this little slider that basically tells the AI how much to change the image from its original image, and you can if you move it all the way to the right, it'll give you something completely different. It's crazy, and there's no and there's no copyright bullshit, no no no on that or no violence bullshit. You can make as much anime porno as you want. Like, yeah, that's u. Yeah, it's crazy, but like it's hard to make people in the same thing. I was trying to get like a Krados and it always is, even with mid Journey and dully, it's very hard to make a concise a multiple object or multiple person seen and make it look good. Yeah, it's uh, it's tough, and I tried to make it. Like doing poses is hard, but there is a thing in stable diffusion where you can actually tell it this is the pose you want, and you can make like a stick excuse me, a stick figure and you upload it to the to the program and say it says this is the pose and there's a slider. How much do you want it to follow the pro the pose? So you can't do a lot like that, But when holding a weapon, it's like, yeah, give it. The Leviathan acts like okay, that doesn't know what the fun that is. Or the Blades of Chaos, like, there's no chance that I'm going to get the AI to give Kratos the Blades of Chaos. What I had to do for Blades of Chaos was just go online and get images of Credos with the Blades of Chaos because I didn't want to boot up the game. Go photo mode would have been cool. But yeah, more time, more time, and more work on something that I thought was going to be a minimum effort, maximum satisfaction that didn't fucking work. Oh my god. Well anyway, yeah, yeah, Dan, all but uh after Christmas? What happened to you? Nothing? Really, I've just been kind of getting tons of people in for free meet and greets, consults, you know, trial lessons and things like that, and just trying to book up the schedule. I'm officially as of right now I'm officially teaching every day of the week, which is kind of sweet. But I've got to just fill out the schedule a little bit more. And I've got an interview on Monday for a music position in Ottawa, so we'll see what happens there. That will change my teaching schedule. But luckily, because it's only like three days during the week and then every second Saturday, I can still teach on Thursdays and Fridays, so it'll be an it'd be a nice it'd be a nice schedule, something that I can definitely work with manageable. I was definitely definitely playing around with some ideas and kind of writing a little bit more at the piano and playing with things. Because I got my music notation software back, I got a sweet music education discount on that. That what you mean music education discount? Well, because it's like any kind of software you get for you know, music stuff, they'll always typically have education discounts if you're a teacher, if you're a student or whatever. Yeah, oh how do you how can they how do you prove your teacher? Well? This one was weird because Finale's made by make Music. I think that's the brand and I went to go and I thought there was a verification process, because that's what I've had to do in the past, send in a picture of like either you know, if I'm a student, you have to send in a picture of your deployed student card and shit like that. But for this, I was like, I don't know, do I have to maybe send in a like ill he said, to get a picture of him with the with the kids, a little kid. Well, I don't know, but it sounded like I had to fill it a form. But I did and he was like I ended up reaching out to support and they're like, no, you only need to fill out the form if you're doing this bite or sending a PO box address or whatever. I was like okay, and he was like, you could do this, this and this. I was like, I didn't have to do any of that. All I have to do is select education discount, add the card. So there was no verification process whatsoever. So I don't know. It might have been new easy, so they haven't kind of ironed out the wrinkles yet. But I told him that He's like, all good on our end. I was like, okay. So I got it for ninety nine bucks. As opposed to two hundred and ninety nine and regularly swing themselves. Yeah, it's a regular, like six hundred dollars software. So I'm glad I got it because I've never actually owned it before. Yeah, and I loaded up our little music theme last night. That was kind of fun. And I found a nice drum preset that I think is going to work nicely to kind of because I wasn't crazy about the one that we got in our current one, and I might want to just revamp a little bit, maybe remix it a little bit and get it sounding a bit hotter, and then we can use that. So that would be cool. But I just don't know if I'll be able to get to that this week. Get on it, I don't I don't know. I don't know if it'll be that noticeable, but all right, Uh, you got anything else. The day I got back from Christmas, I got sick. I've been sick for like a week and a half, disgusting, disgustingly days. Finally over it, finally going to say you came out last night. Fuck her. No, I got sick like the twenty sixth of Christmas. I'm past the twenty sixth of Christmas always thinks of this. Ever Christmas, I remember it well. It was the twenty sixth of Christmas, like I'm past the contagious part. Well, i think I'm getting finally, finally through it. That was the longest sickness of my life. I've never been sick for that long. It's always like four days, five days max. Not fucking ten days. Was the longest was whenever we started this fucking podcast and I was getting over strap and I just wanted to crawl into a ball and die. It was like two weeks of it. Yeah, it was two weeks last Christmas. I think two weeks I missed Christmas, crazy fucking bullshit. I got some gaming gift cards this Christmas. I went over my finances and we'll get it. We'll get into that resolutions and uh, and it's not good. Also, I've decided because we're going down south in June for a friend's big bachelor and bachelorette party thing. We're going down south for a week, big group of us. So I'm gonna lose some weight and we're gonna we're gonna count it on this podcast. And this podcast is gonna what is gonna get me to my goal. It's gonna hold you account. You should do every two weeks move to a plant based diet. Man, that's all you gotta do. Yeah, that's true, but that's gonna be impossible to tell Alme to buy stuff that she doesn't want to buy. So I'm just gonna have to work out like Reacher, you know, like Jack Reacher. Yeah, take some testosterone. Yeah, just put it right in my butt. No, but I mean not work out like I'm gonna be pumping iron, you know, Like I just you should get being active every day of the week, you know, like being active at least half an hour every day. Because you don't walk your dogs. You just throw them in the backyard. That's true, But they should walk. They should be walking. They do walk me, I'm so lazy now, Like when I do walk them, it's just them pulling me. Oh man. And so some dude, this old guy comes up to me one time driving his car, pulls off to the side of the road. Oh you know you're you're supposed to be walking them, right, fucking says that to me. I'm like, I'm like, get out of the car and say that to me. Get him. Boys, They just like puts his tongue in his mouth. Yeah, they're just like, yeah, oh my god, that's funny. Somebody actually commented like, that's yeah, it's bad because I'm just like, I'm just like getting pulled right, like geez. But yeah, I weighed two hundred and thirty five pounds. That's horrible. That's horrible. Discus, I look in the mirror every morning and I vomit. It's disgusting. I don't I don't know. I feel sorry. I feel sorry for my wife. I wouldn't have noticed. Yeah, we all feel sorry for her. All right, all right, let's get into game time here. Oh my goodness, it's been a while since we've talked about this, so we probably have some games that we've played. Oh yeah, and you got a Steam gift card for Christmas? We all did so, yes, so you probably bought some games. I know I did, Daniel, did you You didn't get a Steam diff you got probably got an Amazon oh if. I got an Amazon card from my birth because I asked for specific things for Christmas, because mom was like, do you never give me anything? Give me a list. I was like, here you go. All right, Well I did get a gift bird and about four games for Charismas. I have written here Charismas instead of Christmas. It was an auto correct, I think. So I get a steam for Charismas and I bought four games I bought? What did I buy? What did I buy? Potionomics, Win Winter, what's the fucking other card game? Wild Wild Frost, six Days in Falluja and Izo. Yeah? So four games? Who very cheap? Is it an Italian name? I guess, so it looks like it. I haven't really played all of them. I I definitely played Postionomics Postionmics. I played and I beat it. It was definitely worth the twenty two gifted dollars. I'll tell you that took me about twenty hours to beat. But I had to load my save a bunch of times because I failed to do what you're supposed to do. No. No, because if you get a game over, you have to do it anyway. So I just did it. But so that twenty hours includes like the overlapping of playing the same thing I had already played because I had to load you know what I mean. Oh, So, in the game, you have to do a potion contest. You have to create a potion of a certain quality every ten days in game, and you have to create three of these potions, and if you're not able to do that, you just get a game over, like if you lose the contest, you game over and you have to load anyway. So I've loaded like multiple times back to like day you know, day three. Okay, I know I have to do this now. I have to upgrade all my stuff to make my potions better. So it's a potion making deck building game with some little bit of dating simulator in there, almost dating simulator. So the basically the deck building is for when you're selling your potions and doing the competition at the end of every time that is, ok So that's when the card game is actually happening, when you're selling potions. So you can do that every day sell potions. You don't have to, but that's how you get the money to do everything in game. The goal of the card game itself is to increase the value of your potion or the increase the buyer's interest in the potion, which increases the value before the time goes out and they walk out of your shop. So like the resource in the card game, you know, your your man or your whatever, your what you what it costs to play the cards is time, so it's it's the customer's time left. So every time you play card it it's got a number on it. No, it doesn't. It counts down. So you have a card that's cost three time it takes the countdown that takes off of the customer's time. So you basically have to get the interest up before it gets to zero. Okay, to get them to purchase, you try to get to maximum basically, yeah, get the maximum interest so you get the most money by the time you can the timer gets to zero. Where does the dating come in? Ah, well, let me tell you. Let me tell you. You can also romance different people in the game, which unlocks cards for you, but not person has a set. No, not customers. They are customers. They come into their shop once in a while to buy if you're selling. Oh, but each person has a set of cards, like a set that kind of follow different theme or do different things, so you can if you want, I guess, only choose to do one person and unlock all of their cards. Like if you level them up high enough, you get all of their cards and you can add them to your deck, or you can kind of do like spread the love if you will, and have a deck with like a bunch of different cards, which is what I did. I didn't really choose one kind of person. But yeah, it's cool. It's cool. It's cool. You can also send that people out on adventures to bring you back rare ingredients, so you have to supply them. You have to supply them with high level potions that you created, and you can give them potions that increase the rarity of the stuff that they bring back to you. And it's really cool. You can duplicate the items by going to some other thing. There's a lot into the game. There's a lot there. But it was cool story, the gameplay was fun. I was hooked. Very cool. Game recommended for twenty two dollars if you like deck builders or whatever the hell price it is now. I don't know, but it was on sale. Very cool. It's got a cool art style too. Yeah, very nice. Now I think we need to talk about the finals, do we? I think we do. I keep hearing about this the rage. This is what people are playing right now. The game is going in saying online, everyone's playing it. It's all over my YouTube feed. The Apex guys. I usually watch are now fucking playing this game. I do not love this game. Okay, I do not love it. The things I do like. The movement is okay, Okay, it's better than okay, it's prekay. First of all, maybe people don't know this is, but I'm sure you know what it is. It's a first person shooter, free to play new style game with destructible environments, and it kind of like mixes different game modes that you might know from like Call of Duty. It's kind of like a mix between some of them, like a hard point, which is like a little square on the map you have to hold it. It's like that mixed with Capture the Flag because you have to capture a box of cash and then bring it to the hard point and defend it. So it's like it's almost like Capture the Flag hard Point. Yeah, and so there's different game modes, but that's pretty much what it's like. But now, like I said, the movement, the movement is cool. There's jump pads and grapple hooks and ziplines and things things that I like. Because I am a path Fame finder player in Apex Legends, I'm well well versed in grappling hooks and zip lines. Okay, the gameplay is fresh and different. Yes, it's just cool. The destructible environments, now I'd like it, but I also hate it. It's it's very very chaotic. It's just chaos, and that's like, that's what I don't like about the game. That's what I think. That's what throws the RNG into everything, Like there's so much shit happening around you. You can't always do your same kind of m O strategy, like strategy when there's a building falling on you, you know what I mean, or when you have to play and like competitive, Like how the hell do you play this game in rank? It's just fucking chaos. And the amount of gear and like load outs and shit in the game is absurd, Like there's so many different like minds, weapons, grenades, all its abilities that you can unlock. There's so many things, and to unlock all that shit just it would take forever. Like I barely have anything unlocked and I have ten hours in the game. Ah, that's a big problem that a lot of people are having. Is because the slow leveling, Yeah, and the slow battle pass leveling. Everyone's fucking pissed about, Like how long it takes someone to like grind the battle pass to level one hundred is absurd. Well, just unlocking the things like yeah, this is the things, like in order to know what everything does, you have to have it unlocked, so you know, like, oh, how do I counter this? This is what counters this? And like, but you don't have any of it unlocked, so you're just using the shitty bass class and it is so bad like the original, like the initial base classes is just horrible. Like, Ie, if they would give you a little bit more to start off with, but you get just like basic bit ship. I think if they gave you more XP or faster climbing the XP ladder and unlocking that stuff faster, especially the beginning stuff. Unlocking the beginning stuff faster would be cool. It's just I was stuck on with the same ship for so long. I'm like what, like I can't do it. I'm just running around doing nothing. Yeah, well people are hitting you with like fucking swords, Like where do you get sword? Got my sword? Home? Unlock a sword? Or you can go invisible. This guy's fucking invisible, Like what everyone's invisible now? Like the whole match we played last the other night everyone was invisible, like they just invisible, and like come out of nowhere and two shot you with the swords, Like, what the fuck is going on? I read a quick article about how there's no real meta in this game, Like there's no real it's it's changing so much all the time that there's no real like meta that people are like sticking to, which is really cool. I'm that kind of cool because then you you're not always finding like the most I see, if you want to call it like a meta composition, the team composition is one fat dude and two medium guys healing them. I see that a lot, a lot. I think that is the meta. But then like all you have to do is invisible behind the two heelers and slice them up, and then you see a lot of invisible sword people like my build that I do. I started that build, by the way, Yeah I made it. I made it popular. But and then you don't even have to play as a team. If you're invisible, you could honestly go, can't buy the fucking cash out, wait for someone to start cashing out, hack them from invisibility, take all their coins, cash out, run to another place that's in the different game. Mode that's in the second game. How exciting that that's an invisibility Like, how what kind of it's like level five? I think you get it. Yeah, but like I have to unlock the light guy and then you have to unlock the the ability. Is there a down on it? It? Can you only use it X amount of seconds? You can only use it like for the or something. It's like you can use it for twelve seconds straight and then it again then just slowly geesh recharges. But if you can, if you can use it at the right times, there's no real cool down. So like if you use it only when you're climbing a ladder, just so no one snipes you off a ladder, that takes like five seconds and you and when you're on top of the building, no one's looking at you anyway, so you're not going to be invisible, you know. If you like turn it off and on at the right times, you can keep going and going and going. That's how I go. I jump into like a pub match or what do you call it, Yeah, like a single match, and I don't even talk to my teammates. I don't even I'm not even around my teammates. I just go around and I score forty thousand coins, and I get a lot of the game already done for the team. And I'm not even in any battles. I don't have to shoot any guns. I just run around invisible. Slicing people up with the sword is actually dirty, fucking stupid, so stupid, you dirty rad. Yeah, and solocuing solo queuing is horrible in this game. Like the game mode you're talking about is the other game mode. It's not like it's not like the main game mode. But for the main game mode, you like basically need a pre made group to win anything like you can. Sometimes obviously you'll get teammates that just stick together and actually know what they're doing. But otherwise you just get these guys who are just running in, not sticking with you. They're dying, they're trying to one v three. You cannot one v three in this game. Like, it's not a game that you can even one v two, you know what I mean, unless the other guys are literally blind and can't with a single shot, like you will not one v two or one v three anyone like, But they just run in, wipe constantly. They're not on voice. They choose like random classes, Like you have like three light guys on a team, Like that's not gonna win. It's not gonna win. You need a good group makeup. You need like your teammates. Like we're playing with friends is much funner than playing with like by yourself. I don't have friends to be that are online all the time playing, you know what I mean? Like when am I going to play with people? This is not something. There's not a game that I felt addicted to and and wanted to keep playing, like to unlock to the grind, you know. Yeah, it's it's I have no desire to play it. That's just what the way I feel. It's just not for me, and that those are my thoughts. And I'm going to say the same thing tomorrow. I'm going on gaming together with a Nave and Pille and I'm gonna say the same goddamn thing. Yeah, how are the graphics? The graphics are good, like it looks cool. The destructural environments are cool, like you could but you'll literally have a building fall on you, like when you're trying to you know, cap the just everything there's no sound, you can't tell where anyone is either, Like you just die you get a house dropped on you, there's fucking gas everywhere, there's things you can throw. It's just chaos. It's absolute chaos. And if you enjoy that, if you enjoyed that in like the old battlefield games, but like times it by fucking one hundred. Yeah, it's like all that destruction and chaos. It's like you're capping. You're capping the point you're trying to cash out your cash but it's on the third floor of a building, and the whole building would just fall because they just someone blows it up with like a bunch of mines, and and you're just fall and the cash out box is just going flying through the air and it goes over there and then you can't get to it and you die. It's like where the focus the cash out box? And there's some rat just sitting there who somehow got rubble and it's like stealing. It's like, what the fuck is this? How are you supposed to win? It's fun anyway, it's not. It's not my thing. I beat Spider Man two. Oh yeah, it was exactly what I thought it was gonna be. I'll leave it at that. More Cyberpunk been doing a lot more cyberpunk funny thing. So I got to the end of Phantom Liberty, what I believed was the end anyway, didn't you beat that a while ago? I thought I did, And then like a couple of weeks ago, I was like, oh, I'm gonna go back and do some photo mode YadA, YadA, YadA, and then's out of nowhere, I get this quest. I'm like, what is this shit? And then I followed this massive quest line, not massive, but like the I guess the final mission quest line that I was waiting for someone to call me, and I'm like, oh my god. And then it finally brought me through the ending of my game, oh like finalized the game and brought me to the credits. I thought I remember seeing credits before. I can't remember, but it brought me through the end of the game of like one of the many endings, and now I have my ending after doing fantastic experienced my Yeah, I've experienced my ending of the game, and i'd really like to talk about it. So please, guys, if you could fucking finish up already, we can have a little spoiler episode. But I finished that up a sonzo. I've been playing a lot, actually, because I think it's very cool, very cool. It's like a very straightforward, like simple battlefield kind of game where you push the lines right, yeah, back and forth. There's no other game modes. It's nothing. It's very bare bones for twelve bucks. Got cheaper than that it was on sale. It's twelve dollars. Right now it's on sale for like five bucks. Oh damn about it for twelve and then I've been playing that. It's really cool. It's it's hard to level up because you have to do to get your next weapons. You have to do like a little like heal x amount of people or depending class. Yeah, like a little challenge up to unlock the next guns. Even though you've hit the level cap, you have to do the two like requirements to unlock that gun or whatever. So like you're trying different things, and I was getting into it. I liked it at first. I was just like you just because it's one it's like hardcore modes. So if you get shot once, you're dead, so you want right you have to like crouch in the trenches, yeah, trenches you're looking around, yeah, and then snipe in the head and like how in the trench how is someone sniping me from in the trench? That drives me fucking crazy, like where are they shooting me from? Little help? You can't a little spike on your helmet, but like in you can't ping people. So as a regular rifleman, you can't tell people where people are. You have to be a mountaineer. And the mountaineer takes out his binoculars and you have to fucking stand on him like a hill or somewhere to observe the hill wide open, and you gotta stare in your binoculars and ping people through your binoculars for other people to shoot and mortar and ball like that, because it gets a purpose to their role to be like, okay, well only this person. If you want a ping for your team, then you have to be a yeah, I think it's And then well it's cross platform, isn't it. I don't know. We'd have to check on that. I don't think so. But then I'm like, I'm going in here, and everyone's like spotters, spot the mortar, people spot the mortars. I'm like, I don't see any snip. Like you cannot fucking stand. You cannot stand for more than two seconds without getting like you have to be behind something constantly. You have to be If you find a nice camping spot, you camp that the entire match, like people do that. All that you have to like destroy little things with your shovel. I'm like, get a couple of like little turrets, you just dried them, and you move it and you move forward the game. The game looks great, it sounds great. The explosions, the dust, the smoke, the gas all looks great. It's really cool. I really enjoy it. Actually it Each match takes quite a while, though, so like if you sit down to play it, you have to play the hour long like match that's gonna take. So usually I'll jump in for a match and then I'm done. I can't play multiple hours of that. But I've found a new strat where I've got my lace little camping spot, and I'll I'll come up and I'll survey. But then I'll prone right away, pop up, survey prone right away because if i pop up and survey for more than two seconds, I'm getting snipped in the head. And then I'll see like these guys coming up and I'll have to remember where they are. I'll prone, I'll come back, I'll snipe like one of them while I reload, because the reloading takes fucking forever. Yeah, pron you gotta prone to reload, jump back up, snipe the next guy, prone to reload, that kind of stuff. One time I came up behind like four guys. I was like, and I killed them. I was like, whoa man and some people And there's you can only have x amount of classes in each on each team, right, So the officers there's only two officers with the pistols, with the pistols, and they just go around and they're fast at shooting, right, So they go around and they just fucking cap and people with their pistol while people are trying to reload their big rifles. And they're like, also they also ordered the strikes too. I think the spotters. The spotters like the binocular the mountaineers have to spot the terrain and the like the bases. You can spot the bases, the like the artillery. And then the leader dude will then tell the recon people to send in the choppers or the bombs or whatever. It's it's actually really cool, really cool, yea. And the role has a different responsibility and then they have to work in tandem to do things. The environments and the terrain is really cool, really cool because they'll push you'll you'll start based of like this mountain, but then the more they push you back, or the more the more you get pushed back, you're up in the mountains and they're like climbing the mountains to try to get to the next capping zone. Really cool, really cool. That was the first level I played, I think, and I was like, yeah, because they're looking down on you. I was just kidding, yeah, pinged off. I was like, what the fuck is happening? Where am I don't think the kill death ratio of that game is it's not it's not something that you're going to be like, oh I need to get one hundred kills this game. It's definitely not one of those games thirty one game. Yeah, but you're also dying like left, right and the Center. I think the I think the biggest part is like put making sure that your team or your squad is pushing what they need to push and doing your objectives probably rather than just getting kills right. I think also so very cool game. I've been playing a lot of Armored Corps six pick that up at full price with some Christmas money. Guys, why did I sleep on this one? This is super anime Japanese mech so fast flying. Didn't it just come out so cool in October estatement? It's steam very cool, very cool. You customize the mechs. Every single piece of your mech, the weapons, the legs, the armor has like stats so you can mend max to your heart's desire and build like the most epic anime mech you can find any's. And just the animations, just the animations, like when you're boosting and going like left right, boosting up and down like all over the place while you're shooting your guns. Oh, it's so addicting. It's like, oh, this is so sick, and you're just zipping through blasting these new mechs that are just trying to stop you. Very cool. It's very linear, so it's not open world, which is really cool. Finally, just like an ice like point A to point B. Get through this trash rubble like mechs, go blow this thing up right, or go sabotage this giant mech thing so we can go steal this. You play as like a mercenary for corporations like your corporation merk just like I guess cyberpunk, but and you're you're trying to you're not trying to, but all these corporations are fighting over these last remnants of what's called coral. Is like this coral like this energy source that can be used for communication and energy. So it's like like it kind of like the Internet, I guess, but like energy. It's weird, very weird, but it can be used for all these sorts of things. And you land on this planet called Rubicon, and there's all these hidden like coral fountains underground that all these corporations are trying to like get to you. And you're hired to go clean up and stop these corporations from getting it while these corporations are hiring you back and forth, back and forth. So it's really cool. Also, it's got PvP ranked ladder now and it's absolutely insane, like the one v one is unbelievable. I was watching some YouTube videos and it's just it's crazy, crazy shit if I played this last year, Oh, how's the difficulty level on like a single player? Like Boss? Shit? Ah hard? Like the levels themselves are pretty easy, Like you can get through the levels but then once you get to the boss, you'll fight them a couple of times, and you're gonna have to really like check out what he's beaming you with, what he's using, what's equipped on, and then you'll have to change your your mech to kind of counteract that. The thing is, you can only buy new mech pieces outside of your missions, So if you go through the mission and you get to the last boss, you only have pieces to swap that you've already purchased. You can't go out purchase and then go fight the boss. So you're gonna reloaded the last checkpoint, which is the boss, and try to fight them with what you have either on you or in the garage to like equip with. So you're saying, what are you saying? It was the game of the year? Oh man, it was one. Yes, it did it one action game of the year. Oh action game of the year, and deserved so for sure, very soon. What did it go up against? I don't remember it won. I don't even remember the Game of Words, it was so long ago, it seems. Armor Core six. If people are interested and they're like on the fence, is if you're on the fence and you're thinking about it, just play it. It's sweet. It is sweet. I was, It's on my wish list. I just didn't want to pay eighty dollars for it. Yeah, it's been worth the eighty dollars for me so far. And it was instead of yeah, but I bought four games instead of that one game, do you know what I mean? So so far we got the finals. Is it just the finals or is it finals? The finals? Isonzo Armored Corps, Potionomics Wow, okay, Spider Man two. Yeah, that's all I've been playing. Man is Cyberpunk because I'm trying to just I'm really loving I'm just really loving the new updates. So I've been doing all these different these random little side jobs that come up. But also I need money now with all these new fucking cars and bikes coming in, and I was like, shit, well, I don't have money. I don't know if Eddie's to get this, so it's like, how do I get money? Now? I've been I've been for the longest time. I was deconstructing my all my gear that I didn't need from from drops just to get like the components. But now I'm not crafting anything, and I'm not upgrading my cyberware because the new features you can upgrade your cyberware using crafting components, but it barely fucking upgrades it by anything. It's like zero point one number percent sometimes, like that's how infinitesimal it is. It's like, well, I'm not wasting parts on that, So what can I do now to get money? Well, I just pick up everything I can and sell it, because you do get quite a bit of money from selling weapons that drop from from fucking gonk scumbags. Do I do that? I think I was doing that anyway. I was never crafting or anything. Yeah, yeah, I was just for now on, I'm just selling a bunch of stuff because like, I want lots and lots of money to get the new cars and the new bikes, which I got a couple, got a sweetened couple new bikes from what's the name of the Kusinagi I guess is the brand, So it's like the same brand. Is that cool Akira red bike? Yeah, but that's the Yaiba. But I got the two other ones. There's one new one called the Favor Peacekeeper, which doesn't have the windscreen or the thing on the back like the the the seat that goes up trading wheels thing. But then there's the other one that has the seat that goes up. I think I call it like the Red Tongue, but it's in Japanese. I don't remember the name. So I bought a couple of those, and they're so fucking sick and the same vehicle. What you bout two of the same vehicle, No, no, two different Well, they're two different bikes, but they have just different like weights and speeds and never really I never really cared, but like I just get on my bike and I drive to the next place. Oh, I love it. You gotta go in style, man Dumbledore's guts because I always Jackie spicers Jackie's bikes, Jackie's bike. I do like Jackie's bike for that fucking terminator sound. I think it's one of the fastest, if not the fastest bike jackiees. I don't know, no, no, no, I don't think I used Jackie's bike, not even his tuned bike. The fastest is definitely is definitely the by the the Kusunagi, if if not the New Peacekeeper, because it says it's even lighter than that one. So the white one, the new White one. What is that one? I don't know if it's white white scot it's like a snub nose. I don't know anyway. That one is like so slow. It got to the last gear and it just fucking rap it. It's like not changing gear. I'm like, oh my god, looks like a dirt bike. I think I just drive mobile. Dude, just murking around. Yeah, that is a sick car, yes, true, the Mrkman mobile mobile. Yeah. So I've just been working through the story of Phantom Liberty and it's getting pretty cool. Man. Last night, fuck I I uh Lizzy Wizzy's performance at Kurt Hansen's party. Man, holy shit, I was like so cool that blew my fucking I was not. I took a bunch of photos of that. It wasn't the visual, it was the song. I was like, you can lean on the railing and watch the performance, and I was just like, okay, let's just and then the song started. I was like, I like this. I don't know if I got there yet, I like, but then the chorus kicked in took and I was like, oh, oh damn. The will Smith give man. It was so good. And I remember telling you guys, I was like, wait till you get to this part. And I think I sent you a couple of images I took. I don't know, maybe, but it's by this. This blew my mind. This one. It's by Grimes. Lizzie Wizzy is played by Grimes, which is Elon's girlfriend. She's a musician. So she's like, you know, that's why it's Scott. I don't know, but I was like, fuck, I got to look that up and add that to my playlist. It was so good. But anyway, that's where I got to last night, and things are developing so kind of some cool things being unraveled. I got the Cyberpunk Core book Cyberpunk Red Core Book for Christmas because I thought, you know, it'd be cool thing to add to the list. I want to check it out. And I was just looking through it, and the reason it's called Cyberpunk red is I think it's because it's there. It's Mike Pond Smith's the author, the writer of Cyberpunk. It's his collaboration with CDPR to overhaul the world to make it more in line with the video games so that they're kind of one and the same sort of thing. This is for the game it's for the tabletop. Eh okay, yeah, oh that would be so sweet. We should play that. Yeah. So now the new Core book is in line with cdpr's game as well, so they're kind of the same. They're just more consistent. And I was looking through and reading it and it's like I was looking through all the corporations. I was like, holy shit, man, there's like so many of them. They give descriptions of them all, so there's so much lower in it. Very cool. I also downloaded, but I haven't got a chance to play it yet. I want to see if I had time last night, but I didn't. I got I downloaded. Hell let loose because it's been enhanced for series X so I want to see what it looks like. Because last time I played it, what you missed? You even tried to join a fucking match. Yet some video pim tried to join them at It worked fine on PS five when I used to play it, so how could it get worse? I don't understand because it's Microsoft Microsoft App. Yeah maybe, but I'm looking forward to you using the Xbox app. Yeah, hopefully getting into it there. And I'm like, I'm like, oh, fifty out of seventy five whatever, click on it's game full, Like, no, that's impossible, and then I keep going that, like I don't just call the game pass, so people are probably like god flooding the servers. I tried like fifteen times and then I uninstalled. It might come down at some point, but I'm looking forward to seeing that because last time I played it it was just PS five. It was I think it was PS five exclusive, but I don't know if that means that it was like PS five enhanced or optimized or whatever, so they might have done a bit of a nice overhaul to it for series X. So I'm curious to see because to me, that like the To me, that's the ultimate, like at least Second World Warshooter. I think, you know, in terms of infantry combat, like you can have all the fun you want in battlefield fucking blowing shit up with tanks or whatever, but I think you have to be certain classes to use those in hell let Loose I don't remember, but man, I really enjoyed it Loose, So I think I played it a couple times with you, but I think it was on Xbox and it was I didn't like the control or the amay, yeah, No, I think I was PS five yeah, because it was free on PS five PS plus thing a while ago. I had to definitely fiddle and find settings. But I like the game because yes, it takes a while as well, just like Asanzo does. But I think I played a match once for two hours. I was playing two hours because I was just we're just you're just pushing and pulling, and if you lose ground because you are sucking it up and your infantry is not doing their job, you fucking lose training. And then you have to push back and it takes so long, and and there are people giving orders, and you have your on a squad with that as an officer, and he will talk on the mic and be like, okay, let's try and do this. And people aren't like sour puss and like they want you to kind of like work as a team like you. Then I've actually found people encouraging over the mic. They're like, well, guys, you can do this, you know whatever, and they're like funny and they so I like. Also, the fan base seems to be okay based on a few limited experiences, and they're not a bunch of losers. Well when you're playing a two hour match. Man, I want no one's going to go into these games to just be a troll, because like it's not the type of game for it. One or two trolls. One or two trolls can't really how you say, like fuck up a match, you know what I mean? Yeah, you'd have to have quite a bit of shitty asshole players to really fuck your match. Yeah yeah. But then you've got the pet of people just playing it because because they want to know what it's like and they'll suck and they'll die or whatever. But once you start realizing the waves of the game and how it works, you're like, Okay, I actually need to try. If you want to win matches, like I have to try and stay alive. You have to take cover, you have to move when you when it's clear to move, and you have to shoot from you have to fire from cover and make sure that you are like staying alive as long as possible, because your life counts the longer you stay alive and can push and not get killed when you're crossing a road in one shot, you know. And it's crazy, I just like there's there's an element of like the realism in it, which I really like anyway, so I'm looking forward to playing that. I wish and Listed was good. I actually wish Listed got better because it's still early access, isn't it. I don't know. I like Enlisted. It's just yanky and List it was garbage. No, what do you mean? It was fun? I think it's fun. It's fun though when you pay you can switch over to your because then they get sniped in the fucking end. The shooting feels better and Enlisted, in my opinion, it the guns feel better. Like like this, it's snappier. There's a bit more aim sway in Ianzo. It's more like a like realism kind of obviously, so there's a lot of aims sway. You have to hold your breath. There's no bots. I don't love games where you have to hold your breath. I want to fucking quick be scoping people, you know. Anyway, that's it for me. Actually, I wanted to go over something real quick in gaming news, Gaming news, just quick, just like a celebration, a celebration. So it's head over to gaming news. Okay, just one thing in gaming news today, guys, Bobby Kotik has finally left Activision Blizzard. Yes, and after he did so, a bunch of previous devs and current devs and people who knew him took to Twitter to ex express how much of a fucking piece of shit he really was. Really. I've got a few tweets here. I'm just going to go through them. People really celebrating. I haven't heard this. I haven't heard this. So Bobby Kotek has stepped down from his position as CEO of Activision Blizzard, ending a thirty two year career at the firm, and it was recently revealed that he'd be scooping up as much as four hundred million dollars as he left the company. Okay, I'm gonna read some tweets. Tweet one is from bat Trick. He says, eat shit, Bobby Kotik, You pathetic ghoul. Waste the millions you didn't earn from people whose talent and light you will never understand. I believe he was a previous dev at Blizzard. Here's the next one. Here is a I think he was either previous or current Andy Belford. He's break, he says, breaking my silence to share a fun fact when we planned Overwatch two's steam blaunch. My team warned months in advance that we were going to be review bombed. We begged for more information and more details and more resources to help us with the anticipated influx, all flatly denied by Bobby Kotok. Another another person here on Twitter, Christina, says she worked on cod for two years as a programmer at Demonwar. Bobby's decisions made their game worse. In my first month, it came out that he threatened to have an employee killed. In all hands that followed, no one wanted to speak first, so I demanded his firing in front of everybody. There's quite a few stories like this guy's a piece of absolute trash. Now, I'm sure. I'm sure because before it was all about the like the whole frat boy culture at Blizzard. A lot of people like so was he Well, directly no, but ship falls downhill right. There was reports where he would invite female workers into his hotel rooms when they'd go out of town for whatever conference whatever. One of those ended up killing themselves, Wow, like committing suicide. Yeah, is he on Epstein's list? He probably is. He's on Epstein's list, just nobody knows about him because he's in a game, It's like, who the fuck is this guy? Maybe he wanted to be on Epstein's list, but I don't think he made that much. Stephen Hawk's like, who the fuck are you? Why are you here? This guy? Thank god he's gone. And I really hope that we get all those franchises back that we've been missing, because he's probably squashed them all, Like, oh, Starfield two, not stuff, feel do Scott, StarCraft two, StarCraft three, you know, let's get that stuff back. Let's go Xbox, Let's go Philly Cheese Steak Spencer, Philly, Philly Spencer Witz. All right, cool, all right, well that's good. Good to hear. Hopefully they take it in a positive direction, positive vibes, feeling the flow, feeling it working it. Let's go in today's topic. Today's topic here, we're gonna be looking ahead to twenty twenty four, but first we're gonna look back at our twenty twenty three and what we predicted. I watched our last year's episode, did I? Yes? Yeah, I threw it on for a bit too, mostly just see what I have to say. So I'm like, what did I actually do? Yeah? We had set goals for the podcast for the twenty twenty three season, and I just had some bullet points here. It's like, we wanted to do more content on YouTube. We did that. We wanted to finish the Halo games and streams did not do that. No, we're almost done, though. We have to finish the one game, and I'm not playing through the other one. There's no fucking way I'm doing that. Okay. And the merch store, I had some big ambitions for the merch store that didn't get done. It's too much money. I'm not gonna do it. Fish. I don't want to hold the inventory, so no matter what it is, I will end up having piles of shit in the basement and I'm not gonna do it. So I'm not holding inventory and then shipping it out myself, like myself going to the fucking couriers and shipping it out to people. I'm not doing that, so that's not good. The only way to do this is print ship. That costs what was it, like four hundred bucks a year or something, and they take care of everything bucks a year, So like we'd have to sell x amount of T shirts just to pay back the four hundred bucks that it is for the subscription, like they hold your they hold your store. They have like all the T shirts, they have all this stuff, all that stuff, and so when someone goes to your store on this website and they order, the company takes care of it all and ships it out and all that stuff. But it was like three hundred it was. It was. It was a bit much money, and we'd have to like make sure we sold X amount of shirts. Right, It's just not it's not worth it. So unless unless we get like a crazy amount of followers that would and demand, yeah and demand, like, it's not gonna merch ain't gonna happen. That's not on my goals for twenty twenty four. I can tell you that. Okay, moving on, So, yeah, I had that written down about the video content. We did that, but we didn't stream as much as we probably would have wanted to. But I really don't have the setup for it. Like I said before, I don't have two monitors. I only have one, And like, how the hell am I going to stream with one monitor? I have to all tab to read the chat? I don't think. So, yeah, I have to put my iPad. I did do that, and then it goes to fucking sleep and then turn it back on. It's very annoying, but maybe I'll try. I'll try, Okay, But there were some funny things to note here, Nasty Nate, about your resolutions, you said you would try not to swear so much and you would buy less games, said laugh out loud. I laughed out loud. I laughed out loud because trying to be more positive and trying to be unprecedented. How much money I spent on games this year? Are you gonna tell us? Are you gonna tell us you failed your gaming resolution? Yes, definitely failed that. But like twenty twenty three was insane. I don't think we're ever going to get a year like that. That's true, that's true. That is true. I was looking looking forward and we'll discuss it a bit. Twenty twenty four, I don't know. It's not really looking amazing. I did say I spent more games than I ever could be ridiculous. I calculated it, and I think I don't want to say so. It's also a lot. It's a lot. It's a lot, and I've now made countermeasures so I can't spend that much money, even though, like twenty twenty four there's no way. There's not enough games that are coming out that could ever make me want to spend that much money. Yeah. No, Now I've there's there's some stuff in movement where I'm only going to I'm going to have, like I think I'm going to get like a prepaid visa, and every paycheck I'm going to put X amount on the prepaid visa. And that's my gaming money, you know what I mean, that's my drug money, my gaming money. Yeah, and then like if I can't buy the game with my prepaid visa, that's it. No, all right, Yeah, well we'll see how that goes. Stuff like that. Yeah, Daniel, you made a prediction, and you were right about Starfield being released in the fall. But they had some nice but as it was saying it was that was me. No, Daniel said, he thinks the fall. You said winter. You said it wasn't going to come out this year year. Actually you didn't believe that it was going to come out this That night, well, I said, I said, quote unquote my nostrodamus point here. Okay, it was Daniels, he said fall. I said they weren't going to release before summer, and we're not going to get a gaming showcase before summer, and both of those were right, okay, but said about when Starfield was coming out, you didn't. You said it wouldn't come out this in twenty twenty three. I'm pretty sure you said, no, it's not coming out this year. And then Daniel said I think fall, and he was it was fall, it was or September. I said Starfield wouldn't release or showcase before summer twenty twenty three, and that's what I said about Start. I didn't say, okay, at least, well whatever, non comparatively, my my prediction was correct. I'll take it. Yes, but you were wrong because you said you would they were going to have a showcase before Sumer and well, I might have been wrong about that. At least I was right about one thing. He was right about the release date, right. What else? Should we get a poll going? Should we get a she get a is it a pool? Should we get a pool? Going? Up? All going about how Nathaniel how much money Nathaniel actually spent on video games? And see if people can guess close like Bob Barker like some yeah, and it will send out a prize. I won't say the about he just doesn't. Yeah, it just doesn't doesn't say it still. Twenty twenty three, Yes, was a huge year for release titles. I wrote down the ones that that I was interested in, or the big Triple A's Slash ones I've played, and there's probably tons more. I looked on game Ran because game Rant has a calendar of like every month, it's been crazy. But I looked at the promises I did make to myself, which was I'd like to play more Witcher three, which I did. I played a lot more Witcher three, and yet I still didn't beat it. I did play and beat Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. I wanted to do that, and I did buy my O LG right, so that's pretty sweet. I got three down. Oh games I thought I would play and did not were God of War, Ragnerrock, Assassin's Creed, Valhalla, Stray, and Calista Protocol. So definitely didn't get to those. Oh, but I did beat more games, or I know it's it's on there. Oh, but it did beat more games than I thought I would, And it's saying a lot for myself, which was Hogwarts, Legacy, Zelda, Breath of the Wild, and Starfield. So I beat three games in twenty twenty three. That's not It's not bad for me to keep just playing cyberpunk again. Yeah, yeah, I do, and I'm working on beating that now. Phantom Liberty anyway, just a massive, massive list. So yes, now for me, there was a big one out of our gaming predictions from two to twenty twenty three, we asked the game of the year winner. Is it going to be one of these big hyped games or is it going to be something that comes out of nowhere and takes the cake? Check it out, boys, if you want to rewind the clip game of that you came out of nowhere. We didn't mention the game of the year in any game list. No one knew Balder's Gate three was coming out. Nobody we knew that's coming out, Yeah, but no one was like, oh, Balder's Kate three gonna be better than Starfield. No one saw that coming. And I'm going to quote here, all these games, all these big games are going to fall short. There's gonna be a Rocky Balboa that comes out of nowhere and knocks it out of the park. And what happened. Hmmm, that was right. I watched the whole episode. I don't know. I don't remember that at all. Well, I didn't watch the entire I did because you also missed how I didn't say that I knew when Starfield also, I said, I asked, you guys, do we even think do we even think Xbox will be in the Game of the Year talks Game of the Year talks or nominations? And Jonathan's like, I think Starfield is going to be in the nominations for sure, and then Dane was like, oh, yeah, how could it not? And it wasn't even in the nominations for gaming, not even there. Well, that's because that's because fucking Resident Evil for some bullshit took its spot, like on Spider Man two. Yeah, that was also before we experienced remakes. The remake should not have been there. They shouldn't have been there, so it should have been there, so we should have been right. We should have been correct, right, I agree, like remake can't win Game of the Year. I'm sorry. Those those are the big ones. But like the Balder's Gate three thing, no one saw Balder's Gate three coming in and taking That's true, there was like a month maybe before it released that it was gaining kind of hype and some some steam, you know, And I think that's why people were like because they blew all their money on the development and all the voice actors, and they only had like a month worth of coin to to promo for marketing maybe and it just took like a week after release, like it blew. Yeah. Mind, Well they've done good. Okay. Everyone was talking about like Tears of the Kingdom was going to be like the best game of the year Spider Man two. Those expectations were well. Tiers the Kingdom was great, but like Spider Man two, my expectations, I kept them where they were. They were reasonably met. That was it. It was the same game as the other one. Yeah, okay, well that was funny. I was laughing mostly at Nate's resolutions. But let's do twenty twenty four. Then we're going to talk about twenty twenty four gaming resolutions, upcoming games, channel goals, predictions. Yeah, let's start with the goals twenty four. Do you guys have any goals for the podcast? I've got a podcast, maybe not, but then for the channel, for the brand, for the brand, Okay, well, we've tried kind of separating or we've started separating the podcast from the YouTube. We are now Elder Trolls Gaming on YouTube. We removed the podcast from the title the podcast. We still will be putting our topics of conversation on there, but not full podcast episodes. So we started doing that and we're going to keep doing that. It makes the video content more digestible. If people want to listen to the whole thing, of course, they can on all of our podcast platforms. But I'd like to just keep going doing stuff for YouTube, making fun videos like we've been doing, and just growing the channel. Right, It's been pretty slow, but recently it picked up with the AI stuff, which is pretty cool. But now we can't even do that anymore. Yep. Just unfortunate. So we'll see what happens. But I think the last month we had like two hundred percent increase from previous months, so that's good. Gaming resolutions. You have gaming resolutions this year other than not spending money, are you doing it again this time? Yes? I'm not going to spend a lot of money on games this year. New Year's resolution. There's a budget. There's a budget budget game next year. I had to pull a line of credit just for video games as opposed to like a prepaid card. How this great deal? How this great deal on a line of credit bank. I don't really have any other than maybe just play some games on the backlog, which, judging by the upcoming games list in twenty twenty four, I think I'll have some time be possibly able to do because there's just from what I saw, I noted a few down, but there's not a whole lot that I am really you know, looking forward to. There's a few that that I am that's for sure. I'm just gonna Yeah, I have some named but might be for both for all of us, not well, they're not for me like specifically. That's okay, let's find out. Because I wrote about your gaming resolution, do you have a gaming resolutions? Okay, so well, no, I said, I wrote down, I'm not making resolutions and disappointing myself more so than I realized that by looking back at twenty twenty three, I have goals, and of course it's mostly just things that I want to play that are either that I haven't bought yet or that are on my back log. But Marvel Spider Man two is first on my list. After I finished Phantom liberty. I would like to also get back into Tears of the Kingdom, because it kind of here's the Kingdom. Why didn't you beat it? Did you know? I did not? Oh my god, I it came. It came out at a very awkward kind of time because it was on the eve of Story of Seasons, a wonderful life which I had just could not resist. So it kept me company in Florida and I played a lot of it. I got a couple of the what were they called again, not like the I don't know what they're called, but the term is. But I did a couple of those dungeons, the temples. The temples. Yeah, so I put I've put it quite a bit of hours, and it's just that I'm not done yet. So I got to go back into that at one point, and I do look forward to that, but I just kind of wanted a fresh brain from because I had just beat Breath of the While and it was like, I don't know yet. But then I took a break with Story of Seasons, so and I put a lot of hours into that. But I would also like to start fresh with Balder's Gate three, I think, and dig deeper at some point because I don't know. I totally underestimated it when I started, and I know that I got onto, I just didn't. I don't feel like I got on with the game on the right foot, and I want to kind of just start fresh. So those are like my three at least for my goals, for my gaming goals. Okay, you know it's not difficult to three games in twelve mud Steals. Okay, wait, Tears of the Kingdom, well, let's say too, because I feel like Balder's Gate would take me for a balder skate. And God War Rag you have to play. You have to play. Actually that I could, Yet I would say, do they beat to twenty eighteen gott of War? No? No, I watched recap, you watched the cap. Yeah, but I would say, play God of War before Spider Man like Spider Man two. You can can wait, you can cut that off God of War one, play it before Spots incredible. Okay. As for podcast goals or channel goals, I already talked about it a little bit. I do want to just revamp our theme a little bit. I don't think we should change the music because I fucking love it and I think it's like Conic and when people listen to our show, they want to hear that tune, you know. So maybe I'll just find ways to make a little bit better. And I could probably I can actually break a full make a full like a full track of it, like a three minutes like with a like a you know what I mean. We'll have a we'll have an ost. Yeah, we'll have that done about twelve months for next year. I can help it out with that with my sounds. Anyways, that's it. That's it for my goals anyway, I do have Eventually we'll talk about some game releases we're perhaps looking forward to. Yes, we're going to talk about some upcoming games now unless they will had something else. Yeah, for my game resolutions, okay, I'd like to stream Wars money. Well. Other than that, i'd like to stream where it's actually pretty fun once you set up and once you're streaming. Yeah, it's actually pretty fun. And I've only got all I've got two monitors, but my second monitors off to my side is for my photography. So I've been using my phone on a little arm right beside my monitor that there just has the chat. It's been working perfectly, so I just take a look over to the side, okay, and I can read the chat. So it's really good, really easy. Shout out to Leo in the discord. He's been hopping on every one of my streams. Thanks Leo. He just he just he just beat God of War twenty eighteen. Oh wow. He loved it. So now he's going to go play the PS three Wars oh oh wow, because he doesn't. And I was look watching some clips from the PS three Got Wars. They look pretty nuts. Yeah, apparently it's just insane. Yeah, they look sweet. Revenge stories anyway. Uh. Shout out to Leo. Thanks for jumping on the stream. It was I had a few view viewers. He's always the one that pops in first to say hello. Really appreciate, thank you very much. But I want to do that more. The thing is like, you don't know what game you want to play, right, what game do people want to sit and watch you play for an hour and a half? Two hours? I think that's I find that's the difficult decision. Two hours. Yeah, I'm gonna I have a game that I think I want to try streaming that's upcoming, and it's supposed to be coming this month. Oh cool. So yeah, I'd like to stream a little bit more. Maybe when I get into the Armored Core six PvP stuff, maybe i'll stream that. We'll see. But definitely want to stream more. Maybe even find a way to stream on multiple platforms at once somehow without paying all that money to that stream company that you stream to this company and then they push it out to all the like Twitch, kick YouTube. Yeah, because no one's watching on YouTube. I'm sorry, but then no one's watching on YouTube. You can't get any traction on Twitch because people are watching on YouTube. Yes, why not the doc the two time fucking streams on YouTube Buddy Blockbuster two times nineteen ninety three, ninety four, Blockbuster Video Game Champion when he's on YouTube and thirty thousand people watching. Okay, now that we have three hundred plus subscribers, the more you get and the more you go live, they'll get those notifications. Yes, true, true, Yeah, so definitely we'll do that. I think that was Oh. I want to do more reviews on YouTube channel because the reviews have been pretty cool. I want to make them shorter. Right now, they're around like eight to ten minutes a bit longer. That's not long that's fine. I think eighteen you think so. I kind of wanted to switch it to about five to six minutes. And there's way longer reviews than that. Yeah, I suppose, but I've enjoyed doing their reviews. They are my opinions. The Lords of the Fallen, the comments on that review video, they're telling me that I am wrong. But you know what, I don't don't care the game is how I didn't have any of those Oh my god, yeah, like you must be crazy. Ooh well, it's like this game is easily at nine, easily at eight. Like no, not the way I played it, not the fucking version. But like I even told him, I was like, you know what, I'll come back to it next year, after like forty patches have been done to it, you know, and I'll re review. I'll do a quick re review of it and see if my opinions. That's funny actually, but yeah, that's that. As for gaming games, just the just the buying of too many times that's stop. But yeah, that's that's pretty much it. My My excuse, though, is because twenty twenty three was just unbelievable. Wow. Yes, and and I don't think we're going to have a year like that for a very long time. So I spent a lot of money last year, you know, in my defense, this kind of video game year only comes around every so often. Yeah, man, there were we should freaking to hold a poll the game Daniel should play next, Damn Blau star Field Cyber Like Daniel should like between God of War finished Tears of the Kingdom or I guess, like what Man two you could put on there? Yeah, I think God of War would would win. Yeah, yeah, probably, although you already started Tiers of the Kingdom, so you may as well finish it and then do God of War. Well I started seven hours a God of War? Oh are you? Oh? Yeah, got to that? Remember what the I got to? That tropical place with like the river and the volcanic area. Okay, so let's uh, let's talk about some upcoming games then, Yes, I looked through the list. I've only got one game really really care about, is it Power World, because that's supposed to come out this month that wasn't on the fucking calendar. And games Radar, well yeah they are add that to the list. I guess two games supposed to come to early access according to Steam this month so I want to play that for sure. It's probably the one that I want to play most that I've been I would say tracking, I guess for the longest of the wholest power world. Now I think I'm going to stream that. That would be funny to stream. It would be like like what people wouldn't know what it is. It's like, what is this? It's like a Pokemon game, but there it's a little twisted. I don't know, it's a little twisted. They have like guns and stuff, and it's funny. It looks very funny. It looks good, dude, like graphically looks good. Now, it looks very cool. So hopefully that comes out soon. I have February here, we got Final Fantasy seven Rebirth. Not interested. I do want to play it eventually, because I actually was playing remake and I was like, I don't actually didn't want to finish it because then it would have to have like nothing to play because it's you know, the next one is not out yet, and it kind of like I actually don't even think I knew when I started playing it that they were doing it in three games. I was like, well that kind of sucks, Like I can't finish it. I can't play it from start to finish, and I have to wait for three games. Now. See, that's why I might wait until they've all come out with all the DLC all the Yeah, I might pack. I'm just I'm just mentioning it. I'm just mentioning. Okay, it's mentioned next Daniel Scull and Bones in February. I did write it down. Yeah, oh, I played it. I could write it down. I played the beta invite only beta. No, really was it? I? Yeah, that's cool. I wrote it. I didn't really know what they were trying to do with it because they only give you like a couple hours, I guess. Yeah. Despite its controversy, I am still very curious to at least try it. That's what I have written down for my first one. It would just repent. It's going to depend on the price, man Like. I don't really want to spend ninety fucking dollars on it. No, No, I don't think so. I'm not saying that when it comes out, I want to try it. Maybe sometime in twenty twenty four, yes for sure. Okay, sure, all right, do you have anything in these months? Nothing? I have? What about Rise of the Ronan. What's that. It's like another Samurai game, but it takes place in the nineteenth century, so it's like eighteen hundreds Japan, when I'm assuming the Meiji era is when they kind of became quote unquote a civilized country and they got rid of you know, swords and ship like that as and they started outlying. Like in the Samurai they were I don't know, Samurai Samurai sixteen hundred. Oh there's guns in it. It's like eighteen late eighteen hundreds. Oh okay, well there were still guns in sixteen hundred. It's just that they were very prime. They were very primitive. How well, okay, maybe it was. Yeah, it was like when the guns first started getting yeah, or the guy was trying to trying to take over the shogunate sell his guns. Yeah. Yeah, oh man, it's so good. Daniel. You got to watch Samurai, all right? Yeah? Maybe? Okay, So Rise the Running when there I don't remember. I don't remember the the I think it's something like the Spring, but there's I think I was looking at pictures and I remember watching videos and I was like, okay, like it doesn't quite look as it doesn't look stunning as like or whatever, but there could be potential. I would still I think from the was this on one of the showcases? Yeah, one of the showcases, I would at least like to try this as well, Like I have to try it. It would be cool. Okay, I do recall that's on my list. All right? What else do you guys got? Got Dragon's Dogma? Oh? Here we go. This is March. This is probably gonna be the biggest game of the year. That is the biggest game of the year. Here this one. It's really like I watched that fifteen minute game play video they released the Holy fuck, it looks good. It looks so good and it looks really cool. It's the first time I can say that I'm excited for a a Capcom game. I never thought i'd see the day. But it's not like a typical Capcom game. I feel it will be once you get into it, it's going to be like Monster Hunter like that, like the the way they do their games. It's going to be the way that Capcom. It doesn't seem very like Japanese like Capcom games are, you know, with the weird singing and the weird Definitely you'll wait. But from what it looks like right now, it looks phenomenal, like climbing on the trolls and yeah, climbing on Yeah that I think that will be four times bigger than the original, according to nice Gamer. I'm just I'm hacking away at the first one. It's I just played on my switch when I'm taking a ship or when I'm just laying on the couch. Throw it on for like an hour, run through some things. I loved it. I watched her play. I watched her played a bunch. She was like fighting these massive dragons, and she was like, this is crazy. Yeah, so it should be crazy, should be good, should be a big one. That's probably the biggest one on this list. We got black myth Wukong. You're going to try this unrel Engine five game no Unreal Engine five in August. It looks very good. They all do all the unreally of five games due But then when you start calling it on your computer, it's gonna take a big ship. Black black blue. Yeah. I think it's a dark about the monkey King. It's like a soul is like monkey King? Oh yeah? Is it souls? Like? Is it supposed to be like that? Oh? I will great Another one all right, then let's move on Blue Protocol. What do you think about Blue Protocol? T the anime? One? Yeah, the MMO anime could be cool. Is this another Star Star Rail MMO no impact? I don't know because if it is not interested, Yeah, it could be. I don't know. But it looked the art style looks cool, and I'm not sure if it's going to be like free to play or what. But they did get rid of the titty jiggle shake button for North America, which is certainly unfortunates can add that back. That is a weird That is a weird concept of the button, just to see the jiggle. Is that what that was? Oh? Yeah, in character? But it's still in the game though, right, like if your character is running or whatever, right that we don't know. I yes, I don't know. In the character creation they got rid of it. If it's just that, I'll let that go. Well that's yeah. If my female boobs still jiggle when I'm running around the anime, yeah, well, I mean that's just that's just good sense, that's just realistic. What about it and the character creation? Whenever you turn the camera really fast, you know, it depends because if you're turning your character, then yes, download if you're turning, if you're just turning the camera, your boobs shouldn't shake. You're turning the character, not the camera. Yeah, when you turn the character and stop, they shouldiggle a little bit. Yeah. Well yeah, I mean there's physically. We'll see how much physic. Yeah. Next, I have an X Defiant, but you'd be soft. Oh yeah, it would be cool. I want to play that. I don't know when it's coming out. Hopefully it's a free to play. Is it going to be a free to play? I think so, Yeah, it might be better. But I had fun playing the beta. It felt really good. I will play it when it comes out. Hopefully the servers are not like they were in the beta, because it was horrible. Sometimes when it was working though, it felt very good and it was fun. It was fun, very fun. Yeah, we got Sendu a Saga Help A two. Damn. I kept forgetting about that game. I played the first one. It was good. It's short, it's interesting, for sure, very cool vibe, you know what I'm saying. Very cool, Like I think I played like an hour and it's like it's that Norse mythology and shit, that's cool. Man, cool, Do you have anything else on the list? Star Wars not officially announced coming out, Star Wars Outlaws. What's that? Remember that one that came up on the showcase that looked like third person action? Right, they're doing a Star Wars game. That's the Star Wars game. I don't know. I didn't have it. I don't care about Star Wars games. Really. Yeah. Well, I don't know, but it was. It could be very sick, so we shall find out. Also, Lord of the Rings returned to Maria to be announced for series X The Dwarf the Dwarf Building one. Who knows. I will try it and maybe I won't hate it and I'll actually have fun playing a Lord of the Rings game for the first time in ten years. We shall see. Oh my god? All right, what about the Plucky Squire. I got the Plucky Squire? Remember that one? It was on a showcase like a while back, one of the game shows this year, and it was like a two D mixed with three D. You would like, jump off up two D page and into the D world. Yeh yeah, yeah, yeah, I want to play that. There still no release date, but other than that, guys, I don't know. I didn't really see anything. It's going to be a quiet year, you know. Well, I think it's I mean, there's a lot of games coming out, but we also have to remember the hyphy. It might be quite years because everyone lost their jobs. There were so many layoffs and firings happening in the gaming industry in twenty twenty three, insane amounts. I think it could have been all because of the COVID influx where everyone was pushing their game and they everyone wanted to through these On twenty twenty three, a quarter of those games got the revenue back in which they used to make the games. So like, you know, you know what happens, like all that shit coming down the pipe, and maybe this is a year of the backlog. Maybe this is gonna be a year for your backlog. Or I can play my thousand games I bought, yeah or yeah, or a multiplayer a year, a multiplayer year. All right, Well, I think that's the only really big one that I'm looking forward to is Dogma. Yeah, I mean that's the biggest one on this list probably yeah, yeah, oh m, Power World of course, unless you know, something comes out of nowhere, like a Rocky Balboa story. Takes the game of the year this year, like Grand Theft Auto six Surprise Drops twenty years When is that twenty twenty five? No, that's what they said. That's what they said. Yeah, no way, twenty twenty five. Yes, you guys two? Is that the PS five Pro coming out twenty twenty five? Well, well let's get into predictions then. What do you think about? What do you think about that we got a new Nintendo console this year? Ah, this is what I want to talking. Will it come or yeah, they'll definitely announce it for sure. I'm predicting they're going to be announced spring Spring. Nintendo does like spring. They're going to be announcing a new Nintendo console in spring of this year. I'm telling you right now. Well, I also had that on my list here I have. Oh really, I say announced by announced? Oh you say spring, I say announced before summer? I said that, but release for Christmas holidays this year. This year, they're gonna make that Christmas money. So no one else is because everything else is it's all sleeping this year. Everyone's sleeping. And then Nintendo's gonna come out with a new console with no competition. Everyone's gonna spend their money on Nintendo true smart, no crazy games coming out this year. So Nintendo's like, oh, yeah, we we put this out for holiday season. They have like a Velda game ready to go. There's gonna be if I have here, I predict a new Pokemon game will release with well, obviously obviously, yea last game. The last one's already a year old almost so right, Yeah, and they come out with one every year. Well, listen, let's hope it looks better and plays better than the last one I played. Okay, Hey, last one looked played like ship, but I loved it. I want it back. I try to trade my brilliant Diamond for a Violet for the past like six months, I'll tell you mine. You have Violet, Oh yeah, I'll take that. Do you want to predict the tech in the switch to Oh, here's what I think. Well, we obviously know it's gonna it's coming with a new in video chip, not new newer what in video chip? Do we know this? What do we know? I don't know. I know it's going to be it's a new Nvidia chip. Oh, it's going to be. What I predict is a lot of the games are gonna use the new dls S three. Okay, these games are gonna look great on the new switch. They're gonna look great. It's gonna have ten pece screen. Okay, it's gonna look the same. It's gonna look the same as a switch. I don't They're not gonna get anywhere too crazy anymore because the switch was almost like it's going to be called switch to, Yeah, switch to. It's going to have better controllers, you know, maybe a little bit switch, maybe a little bit bigger screen. They've never ever had a console named something to have. They plus, it'll be something new, it'll be called something new, but it's not gonna be something it's gonna be an iteration of the switch because the switch is almost perfect. It's almost perfect handle, if not the most perfect, because of all the ship it can do, you know what I mean, it's just technically it's not there. Technically it's garbage. So if they can make this machine last with all these upscaling tech, man, it's gonna be good. It's gonna look good. It's gonna be able to play Triple A titles in ten ADP with the LSS upscaling technology. It's going to be sick frame generation yeah. Oh yeah, man, If they can put all that stuff in there, this is going to be the best thing since Slice like spread right there? Yeah I can. Will they release it with a goddamn oh led screen out of the what's your prediction on that? I say no no. To keep the costs down, they will not. But they're gonna they're gonna have to release an O lead version to keep that money train rolling. I think give a shit about an O lead version. You haven't have you played my old lead switch? You can't say that. I don't care. Yeah, but I have a TV, So what if I hook it up to my TV and then I'm technically playing an O lead switch. There you go. He's got a giant O lead switch. So do I. I haven't even gianter O led switch, but I still play the switch on my O D screen and it's fantastic when I'm outside. Fantastic. I don't know if I'll buy it straight up with the LCD screen, that's not something I care about. I'll get it right away. I will get it. I'll get rid of mine. I'll get it, and I'm gonna play D L S S three as you say, Pokemon Frame Generation Open World three D. It's gonna be good. I think this is a new Zelda game. Okay, that's what there's our prediction. We're gonna We're gonna have a Nintendo console by the end of the year, a new one, is what you're saying. Wow, Okay, what about PlayStation Xbox new hardware iterations PS five, pro, Xbox, something else, Series X, Triple X L. I don't dance. I don't think we're gonna see the next iterations the Xbox. Maybe some stupid like slim bullshit for the Xbox. Didn't they come out with the Black one already? For the series S. I think, oh, so there's gonna be a Series X one. There's got to be. Maybe they'll because the Series X isn't even that big if I remember right that big, they're gonna have some kind of X enhanced Series X pro. It not at least happens. I think that's only coming out around the same time as because that's gonna grand theft Auto was going to sell those those new so nothing from nothing from PS five and an Xbox. Okay, now, maybe some stupid accessories that no one is going to give a shit about. Are there any predictions involving AI and gaming. We had the finals using AI for the announcer in the game. How much bullshit they've gotten over that bosome fa Yeah, and then the little picture that Xbox tweeted that was AI generated. Everyone jumped down their throat for that. So so you think it's a I think it's a stigma. Then I think it's a stigma taboo. I don't think it's not gonna happen. They're not gonna they're not going to announce that they're using like crazy new AI generated ship in games. They'll just be like, oh, we've created this new way of how NPC's talk and whatever. They won't tell you how they did, just so they don't. Yeah, because why what does it matter? You know, like if if I don't matter, if I care about the product. A lot of people there made AI fucking for an announcer in the finals, Like who cares because a lot of people because people losing their jobs all year. It's not that's the problem that somebody that is No, well, it's AI generated, so no, it's not based off of somebody. Usually has to be sampled off of somebody, not whether AI, because well, technically are those images generating based on something some of them. Okay, well that's what they're fighting against, all those creators and artists, and they don't want their ship being scraped by the AI. Okay, so now, so now this AI has to create a voice, tones, voices, lines, everything on its own in that game, and then by doing that, they're not hiring people to keep you know, people in jobs. Right. So now if all these gaming companies start using AI for all the ship that they can use it for no one, like, there's gonna be a lot more jobs that are going to be filled. Yeah, and the cost of gaming is not going to even go down for the consumer, it's gonna go up maximum what does it minimum effort, maximum satisfaction? Well yeah, I mean if they don't spend as much money developing games because they're using AI, and they're like, well what if we increase the price and then off skyrocket? So I don't know, but yeah, I have a feeling that it'll be controversial just for that reason, because because the video game be development field is a very creative field with a lot of human beings at play at stake. So I think a lot of people are going to be uh, provided it becomes this massive issue in this big thing. I think a lot of people are going to be up in arms about it because it's still pretty divisive even now, like the art field, like AI art versus human art, like there's it's very divided right down the middle. Like there's tons of people that use it and are adapting, and there's tons of people who aren't, and they're like, no, that's fucking that's no, that's like that's blasphemy type thing. So that's just going to bleed into the developmentol. I think because we've driven by art, it's not going to replace an artist. If you want a picture of Krados versus shall COM's true, yeah right now, lads of chaos attacking each other. Yeah, that's just drawing that. That's just us as schlubs fooling aro out AI. Like if you're paid in a in a project, paid to figure this out and make it the best you can. I'm sure there's people in these gaming Yeah, but you could pay an artist to do it unless time, well not when they build all these assets, all these AI assets and prompts and commands and all this ship so they could spew that across x amount of games you know what I mean, that's what that's that's what they're trying to do. Yeah, I think Blizzards has already started AI image generation for a lot of their Diablo stuff. It's coming, Yeah, it's coming. Okay, there's the predictions. That's it. I think that's it. That's all we got. That's all we got for this episode. So is it going to be a bleak twenty twenty four? Is it going to be depressing? I mean, don't there's so many fucking games to catch up on. Man, I'm fine of it. Yeah. I actually could go for a down year, you know. Yeah, Yeah, I think that's that's the consensus through a lot of although we won't actually to talk about them, especially after this year. Well because like it wasn't just one game that came out this year where we were all just playing that and that was it, Like that was the biggest Triple A game. Like there were fucking seven or eight of them once a month, and I didn't even get to all of those. So yeah, I'll be fine. That just makes us need to figure out what we're gonna do for our episodes more. Now we've got a few in the back pocket. I think that are gonna be pretty fun. No, we'll just talk about retro gaming. No no, no, we're not God no God. Okay, Well that's it for this week's episode. Thanks everyone for tuning in.
