Hello everybody, and welcome to another episode of Elder Trolls Gaming the Podcast. If you're new in joining us, we are three brothers get together. We talk about gaming, and we may also talk about tech, TV, movies and other nerdy geeky stuff too. I am take it easy, John O, I'm nasty night, and I am dan Do Dolf the Wise. And today we got a lot of stuff to talk about. I think we got some news, we got some. Some articles that were interesting. We got Grand Theft, Auto and rock Star and we're going to talk about them a little bit later. Grand Theft Ato six, not really specifically six in general. In general, like rock Star Games. You Rockstar Games becoming the rock stars of the gaming industry. Right, rock stars? That's right, they are they are. So what do we got up first? What are we gonna do first? Here breaking Nay, I'm tired. Yeah, that ride home was early morning. It was exhausting. Yeah, we had to pump some red bulls in our guts. I tried to take a twenty minute nap right before this. I didn't. I don't think. My arm just fell asleep and it was just bothering me. Got a nap, my arm fell asleep instead of my head. Stupid stupid arm. Just got home and like ten minutes before I sat at the computer. Well really, yeah, because the fucking bar in traffic. Man, man, I don't know who. It's crazy over there. It's just that's crazy over Yeah. Well a lot of snow on the road too, you know, never and dry. But it makes the road smaller, you know, because they are up on the side, so people have to drive slower. It's really freaking stupid. Yeah, this might be a this might be a long episode. We might only act to our limit, to our limit, sir. All right, well, so let's go into uh, I guess we're just gonna skip the old intro banter. We saw each other today, hung out for a couple hours, and now we're doing this. So let's head over hanging out again. Yeah, let's head over into game time. Oh quick, intro easy, We're right into it here, right. I got I got some articles here. I got three articles guys that you guys might find interesting. Okay, I think I posted them in the notes, but I actually got an extra one, an extra one that I didn't post that I want to bring to the table. I remember looking at the articles headlines, but I forget them, so now this will be a nice surprise to me. Okay, the first one was about game Stop. The game Stop CEO decries Wokeness and DEI as the company tries to sell their Canadian and French branches or Canadian French locations. So to decry means to like denounce. Yes, So it seems to me this guy just wanted to attack Wokeness and then tweeted about it and then said, uh, yeah, we want to sell the Canadian and French stores. But it was just he he didn't have anything to do with why he's selling. He just wanted to say this bullshit about the DEI because the rest of the article seems to just explain that they're doing some kind of restructuring and have been since twenty twenty, and they explain that they've initiated a comprehensive store portfolio optimization review, which involves identifying stores for closure based on manufactors, including an evaluation of current market conditions individual store performance. But then he just blasts DEI and says. Oh gi Wokeness. He's like, well, it has nothing to do with why. Maybe he has the stores. Maybe it has something to do with no one buying fucking hard copy video games other than Daniel. That's true. I can attest to this if we do a side tangent really quickly, just to give context to this. Well, I did that as a note here. Oh okay, it is correctly related. Yeah, I went, well, probably they've closed seven hundred stores since twenty twenty. Like I went to go buy Kingdom Come because I was like, I have the first one digital or physical. Sorry, I have the first one physical. I want the second one physical, and I would like it on Xbox. So I'm gonna go around. I'm gonna look for it. Usually they have Usually they have what I'm looking for in cornwall, at the game stock even if it's two copies or a copy or whatever, or even Walmart whatever. So there's a couple of different places I can go. So wow, I went. I went to to GameStop first, and they were like no, they didn't even send us any And I was like what. And I was like, is that because of things like game pass and whatever? And she's like yeah. And I mean, like, you have to think about the fact that when you go into a game stop, seventy five percent of the fucking store is now like nick Knacks and book bags and you know Patty Wax and like action figures and stuff. Right, it's not it's just a novelty store now, It's not can't really just be yeah, a video gaming store. So that is true. And I was like fuck, So I left and I went to go to Walmart. Walmart didn't even have it in Cornwall, and I was like, wow, this sucks because I'm not buying this game digitally. I'd go all the way to work one day and like go during my lunch break to finally and I go what I called I don't know how many stores in the partly my work before I went on lunch, do you guys have this best buy game Stop? I think the two or three different locations of game Stop in Autawa and kind of in the vicinity ish of my work, nobody had it. They didn't even get sent copies for Xbox for x well, no for both. And then I went to Walmart right around the corner and they had one copy of the Steel Book Edition for PS. Five. I was like, okay, well that's the one I guess, so I bought that. So yes, it is a dwindling thing like you. You just can't expect these stores to stay open because of Yeah, because of the digital book. The same price as like a regular book. Who was eighty nine tax I think? Same price, same price, same price on the Steam. So yeah. My next note was if this doesn't give us the inkling that games are dying and what, I don't really know? What is we all know if you don't own the physical copy of the game, you don't really own the game yep, right, even if you even if you spend your heart earned money on it, unless you're buying your games on Gallaxy. Games like a digital license of it that technically technically you own. When you buy a physical disc, technically you only own the disc. You don't own the game on the disc because the game still has to connect to their servers to authenticate it. I guess these days. Yeah, back in the day, no, because it was loaded the information was because you didn't have the internet back in the day. Yeah, you just don't own games anymore. You don't own your games. You just own the material that's in your in your hand. I'll still take the illusion of owning the game with the CD. That's why I buy like the highly anticipated the illusion of safety. Oh yeah, but. Yeah, this guy just seemingly blasted de Ei in Wokeness in this Maybe. They get an extra paycheck from Trump when they do that. Yeah, seriously, just personal agenda. I wonder if somebody says, yeah, I'll buy these your Canadian and France stores, like would it Sylvie Games up or be like, I guess something else they changed again because we become another franchise. What was it before games Games? Is that what it was before boutique games and then game game PLoP or game shop or. Anyway. I thought that was very stupid that he just tweeted that, and and I like that was about why, why they're They've. Got to get some kickback from the Trump administration just to maybe to say something like that they're all so afraid. Oh here's another one. All buckle They all buckle man, it's crazy. Speaking of game Wokeness, here's one for you. Next article. Dragon Age, the Vailguard developers led by Kareem Bush, could be the team developing Balder's Gate for well. I think they'll they'll look like what's the what's the company that owns Wizard Tree or something, Wizards of the Coast, No, it's Wishing. Tree Tree, Yes to the Coast, Yes, or as people call them, Wolke of the Coast. Now, Oh, is that what it is? Well, that's it? Yeah, I know exactly exactly. So. Skeleton Key Game Studio, which is Wizards of the Coast's game studio that they set up in twenty twenty two, they recently hired this Korean Bush as a game director, who was the game director for Dragon Age Vailguard. Now, according to the organization's directory at Skeleton Key, she is listed as a game director. Okay, and apparently there was a falling out between the guy at Larryan and Wizards of the Coast, So it's likely that they're not doing the next one, you know what I mean. But check this out. I don't think you're following Balder's Gate versus Laryan Studios, right, You're gonna follow larry Studios because they're fucking incredible. So they've done Original Sin one and two or Divinity Original Sin one and two, Balder's Gate three. Their next one is probably going to be something in the Can they even do something in the Dungeons and Dragons universe without No? They can't, right No, So that's what I'm saying. So if there's a falling out and they don't want to go back to Larry and they'll make up. Yeah, and if they do, is Kareem Bush and that shit writing team behind Vailguard going to be the ones who do it? Like there was I did see something about I saw it was a clip and I don't know if it was Dragon Age, like one of the new ones, like a trailer from it or something, but it was gameplay from one of these games, and they were like there was dialogue between some characters about like pronouns and stuff. Yeah, one and like somebody did some push ups because they got it. One of the characters. It was that, So like I know, like that's stupid because like, don't give me a lesson about that stuff when I'm trying to play a game. You know, I don't really mind the anything when it comes to that stuff. It's just like if you're trying to instruct me unofficially and inadvertently, I don't really want that in a gaming experience when I'm doing it. So like that's the only real problem I have with it. I don't really care about what character you can create and what parts you can have and what kind of lover you can have, Like, I don't care about any of that, but when it comes to like the weird agenda being pushed in the dialogue of the characters and making it like super different. She like setting fantasy that was very weird. Like I got kind of icky vibes when I watched that. Well, I think the general consensus is that Wizards of the Ghost was trending like downward in the last few year. Is like on the this was in the Wizards of the Coast or was it the Dungeons and Dragons. I think it was magic Yeah, magically gathered. Yeah. All the comments were like, good, I hope they fail. I hope they go bankrupt. Like people actually hate Wizards of the Coast because they hated them for a long time. Yeah, but they're just so big and so rich. It's just taking a while for them to crash, it seems. But people are just like, oh, they can't crash and bird soon enough. But anyway, it's like I feel it be odd. They would go like look at Vailguard and be like say, oh, yeah, well. They did down there. It's down their road, right, That's like it was a flop. Yeah, but. Mhmm, I don't know. If she's the director and that team is in charge of Bellerskate four, I don't know. Maybe she'll learn listen on how to hire good better writers. But from the sounds of it, from when I listened to fng's review, yeahs sound that bad. It could have been better, but it didn't sound that bad. Well, remember, many things are often made out to be worse, especially if we haven't tried them, So it could might not be that bad. But I mean, Pam played. It for like twenty hours and she had to stop. She couldn't do. It, really, I she just said it was just the writing was so bad. It was just interesting. Well, I mean, then there's that that's a whole other issue. I didn't grab you, you know, doesn't grab you. Then doesn't grab you like Henry grabs you. Yeah. True, true, And it's not even a fantasy world. No, I would want to make a golden out of dope. Did you do any more of that questline? Because it is so long, so long that questline. Well, I went to go get some carcasses for the for the guy. Then I poisoned myself and I was out in the middle of nowhere, and I couldn't get to. A bed sleep some bad food or something. Yeah, I think so you gotta have any auctions on me? Was it a blueberry pop in the fridge? I thought it was. I had all cooked meat, but I guess it was a little expired cook meat. I ate it. Gave myself poisoned, and then I was like trying to run to a town because you can't fast travel when you're too low health or poisoned or something like that. You gave Henry the shits, Yeah, yeah, and then I just got for isn't there a perk for you can eat anything with iron stomach? Well? This is side tangent And are you okay? We'll talk about what we're playing. Do you have any more news? I had won more article here on a lighter note. Pretty interesting about Elder Scrolls six. Oh, the leak, the leak. It's allegedly it's allegedly titled Hammer Fell and will feature naval battles and building. Yeah, this is Elder Scrolls. Elder Scrolls six, Trolls six, Elder Trolls new game Elder Troll six developments allegedly titled Hammerfel. The rumored title with the game reportedly taking place across both the Hammerfel and High Rock regions, which I don't think we've. Seen yet, only twelve to thirteen major cities, potentially making it the largest game in the series. Oh shit, cities. Well yeah. The game will reportedly introduce naval gameplay elements, including shipbuilding and maritime exploration. Similar to the spaceship mechanics in Starfield, ships may serve as fast travel between cities and access to remote islands. Sick. Well, that's cool. By the time this comes out, I'm going to have a gaming reassurgence. Hal is gonna be like fifteen years old. Yeah, I'm gonna be able to play games again now Evil Combat. That's funny. That's interesting. Well, yeah, because think about when you think about the games that this is now competing with Elder Scroll six. You have all these Assassin's Creed open world games with like different islands and places in different regions on this world on this map that you can get to via boat or whatever. It's not just a block of island. Like that's kind of old school now, and you think about Oblivion and Skyrim, that's all they did. There was no like you can't expect your worlds to just be a block of fucking land and then and then see around it like you have to be able to there's that's not realistic in a way like geography is broken up. It's that's like the natural terraforming of the land, right, So you're gonna have all these lakes and rivers and oceans potentially that you have to cross to get for me to be So that's good. I like the sound of that. Well, it says that they're rumored to be drawing inspiration from systems similar to those in Black Flag m M mark you marking a significant departure from traditional Elder scrolls exploration. They got to think of something. What do you think a naval combat? Like how is like how is like the magic and stagic and dragons? Yeah, like on magic, Yeah, crazy throwing fireballs and you put a. Big magic shield around your boat dragon, Yes, in fire and you're like shield in your boat. I'm shielding the boat would be cool. I'm like from fucking like cannons or something. I don't know what, like what weaponry, like what weaponry would be used in the Elders. Not everyone can wield magic, right. Yeah, I know, but you will be so how could you how could you wield magic on the ship? Would be interesting? Yeah, because they'll have to consider that, right because you as the player, if you choose that class, you are going to have some part to play in that theater. So yeah, so there's yeah, there's probably going to be like a perk tree or something magician Naval naval Magic, or Naval Warrior or something Naval warfare. Semen Naval Magical Semen. Says he. Your settlement building and customization features are expected to return with an enhanced fortress system that builds on Fallout four settlement mechanics. Oh, with modern improvements. The character progression progression system is reportedly being redesigned to be more flexible, moving away from rigid class structures in favor of more organic character development. So like Skyrim, where you're not choosing predetermined I guess, oh yeah, I guess it's a tree right, well, because it's just like Skyrim is, like whatever you did, you would just increase skill and you could just do whatever, like once you like maxed out I don't know, soldier kind of build, you could just like start doing stealth stuff, switch up your armor, and then you'd get all the skills you have to do it whether to level up your skill? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So it says dragons here are said to be returning, but we'll play a more significant role in both the narrative and gameplay compared to their implementation in Skyrim. Was it all about dragons and Skyrim because you were a dragon born? It's going to be more about dragons than Skyrim? Apparently? I don't know. I don't know. Like this guy is supposedly like an insider for Elder Scrolls. I don't know. It's Todd just leaking some guy name. These. He's like, it's some guy named x SC. Did they on U League on a leged release date? No? No, you gotta look for Tony the are you? Okay? Oh, Nathan, I think you're FROs Tony. Remember Tony the janitor when he looked at Starfield, He's probably maybe that's him. He said, Starfield, we just made that up. Oh so can you see this? Yeah? This guy Ecstasy on YouTube insider and content creator. He's a no Own insider and content creator. So maybe it was a video or is it just him talking? Yeah, it's a new video on his YouTube channel. Okay, so anyway, yeah, hold on here, there's one more point. Former Bethesda game designer Bruce Nesmith has expressed concern that fan expectations for the game may be almost impossible to meet. Well, you made his wait this longe, so. So do it anyway, that's all I got for Well. I think that happened Starfield too. The expectations were quite high, yes, yeah, but like space, you know, space is quite big, yes, Like, how are you supposed to fill that space? You can't intended can't kill space space. Space is mostly empty. I feel like Starfield a lot. I Likedfield. Did I love it compared to something like Cyberpunk? No, not exactly. That's really hard to follow. But I still think that I had a lot of fun playing Starfield. So like, if you know what was more serious? Though? You know it's like a serious It was seriously good. Yeah. I mean, but like I'll just scroll six if they can somehow. I don't know mask that creative engine they're using, which number is. That's not that's not my problem. The creative engine isn't my problem. Because Starfield looks great. I don't care. It looks fine. It looks fine and great, it does its job. The thing with Starfield, it was so massive. It is just it took you forever to do anything. That's what my problem was. It took me forever to get here. It took me forever to get this done. It took me forever to do this, and then like the whole like farming my materials on like three different planets and having to go to each planet. But you didn't have to do that, but it was a part of the game that you could do. Yeah, and I tried it. I was like, oh yeah, but some people to make money just quests. Like yeah, yeah, I mean to be fair, I kind of wish that I had the patience to go do and all the all the crafting and mining so that I could sell stuff because I output ship and the trades and the interplanetary trade. With space, you're dealing with quite a bit of space, and it takes a while to get to these spots. So spot man, I love it. Though I love it, I will continue to go back and play. I just love going my ship and like walking around my ship because it looks so good. Yeah, ship building was sweet, but I wonder like how shipbuilding going to work, and like there's only so many. You're not going to make a higher a bunch of were gon hire, a bunch of kajets, and there's. Gonna be a bunch of lizard people's no, no, okay, guys, that's borderline. Uh slavery okay, No, I said higher higher. You just make a big block ship. It's just like just a square thing. Like how how would the ship building work other than like it's similar. It's all modular, right, Like you can add maybe just the inside parts everything. You'll have like all sure, you'll have all these sale designs that you can add to certain parts of the ship and they'll increase or decrease things like there might be positives and negatives to each kind of addition. Maybe there will be like shields and stuff like magic shields. Well there has to be oh I don't know, because there's gonna be modules and stuff. Would be massive sea monsters flying ships. Yeah, oh yeah, oh that would be cool. I don't know that they'll put that in. I don't know if I don't know if there is going to go for that. That's all I got. That's for news. But uh, I guess we're all playing the same thing, right, Yes, Kingdom come Deliverance too. Yeah, I don't want to get it because we're gonna do an episode of it. Yeah, regrettedly, I maybe wish I could have played more just till this point, but I how many hours yet now I'm only at like six or something. But like and it's one of those games where you know that is nothing. So I met forty I think about sixty. I'm going to try to put a lot in forty hours, maybe even tonight. And I haven't even touched the main question in twenty hours. Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, okay, So I got to the I got to the point where I go to the next map, I think, and I just stopped there and now I'm just going to do side shit because it's. So fun on the first lap. Yeah, the question in this game, like the guy, the team, the Quest team, Oh my god, amazing. So just the work it is, like it's so lived in, it's so good. Yeah, and you're just like it is happening, you know, like the NPCs have lives, you know, and like you can follow them around they'll do everything. Just oh, it's so good. But an amazing amazing speaking of. Like yes all to that, that's kind of partially why I just haven't done anything because I'm just walking everywhere and kind of looking and everything because I have a very vivid memory of what Kingdom Come looked like the first one on my one X sorry yeah no, my Series X, even on my old TV, my Samsung, which was still you know, four K whatever, but it wasn't the game wasn't HDR or whatever, and it just looked like shit. And I was like, so now I'm finally playing it the way it should look. Now we have a new gen Kingdom Come on new gen consoles. But I remember first stepping onto the road and being like, okay, I have I have all these quests. I have to go see Tom Kat for like combat training, and I'm like, okay, where's Tomcat? And I thought he was like up the road. No, look at the map and like way way west, and I was like they expect you to walk there, and like I feel pampered like some fucking I'm like, can. I fast travel? Do I get a horse? What am I? I have to run there? So I all the way to Tomcat and finally did my comment training. He's in the gypsy camp. He's in the Romani Gypsy camp. Yeah, so that was kind of the last thing I did. But I was, you know, getting other quests on the go too, and I was like, so I have to fucking run everywhere right now? That's crazy, And I guess I like that because again, time spent on the road is either dangerous, especially at night with your torch, right because you're gonna get jumped potentially, and you have to like think about your provisions. Am I going to get hungry on the road or what if I got attacked. I'm gonna need food. I'm going to need a bed to sleep, So do I if I have a bed, do I sleep through the night instead of venturing out there in the dark. And speaking of the dark, I just hijacked this conversation. But speaking of the dark, it finally looks like nighttime in a game on my television. In this game with the HDR, I don't have my torch on. I can't see must be nice anything. Like I look up and I can see the edge of the trees in the sky and I'm just like looking around and I can make out kind of shapes. But I turned my torch on him, like, oh, there it is. So that's what I've been wanting for so long instead of just like a bright ass fucking moon and the whole sky is just blue and I can see everything, Like that's. Not how this works. No, it's very dark. If you don't I love that, especially if you're inside and walking around inside. Yeah here, this is funny. There were some funny posts on the reddit and the Kingdom Come Reddit. I don't know if I'll be able to find anything, but there's some good memes like this one. My character after forty hours of grinding another game and Kingdom Come deliveries. To just it's so fucking stupid. Oh here. Yeah, and everyone was kept posting these things about. Oh here, even blah blah blah. I haven't even gone to the wedding yet. It's like this guy after one hundred and thirty hours, finally ready to head to the wedding. He's got like dinosaurs and drones and car so stupid. Not even halfway like it's crazy. I'm sir, escape on the first and a nobleman. Yeah. Oh, I was laughing so hard when he was I love haunts so much. How Hans expects people to act when he mentioned he'son Noble just dancing in front of a crowd, like everyone's cheered. There's some good freaking memes here. Two million copies sold. Yes, congratulations, awesome, it's under two weeks. How long though? Under two weeks? Crazy? Crazy? Do you guys know the the budget for Kingdom come. To no, No, Henry went eating two and a half wooden tea suits of some rain filled stew cooked up by a few rugged band It's. Expect KCD two to be closer or around a triple a budget of eighty million dollars eighty two hundred million. That's it crazy though, because like they have come a long way since the first one, So I'm glad that they're getting or they have like a bigger budget now to do everything bet because like now it's time they're in the big leagues now, you know, because like the first game started as a kickstarter I think. Yep, the first one had about one hundred and thirty people working at the peak, while on the second one they're now at two hundred and fifty people. Oh okay, you're looking at this one new Kingdom come two players getting wrecked by one bandit Kingdom come one Vets first time the bottom fran on the bottom Fran first time just getting wrecked by like so many people. I love that. Here's see this guy was this is like some of the Joe the people doing all that wedding posting. Oh I'm forty seven hours in, still in the main menu. I haven't gone to the haven't gone to the wedding yet, still at the main menu. I love the little rabbits too. Yeah, yeah, the rabbits are good. Yeah yeah, I found that. Can we talk about that for sec Yeah, I found here. Look at this, I like to small. I can't hold on. Let me see if I can. Oh, Harold zoom in there my screen was got this game seven years ago, became a monk and never left. I don't think I'm going to the I never thought I was going to get out of that quest. So yes, that is fair. Oh man, I was out so quick out of that quest. I was like, oh I went, I went in. I fucking confronted the guy. I killed him right on the spot, and then I was out. The other day, I would have preferred that, but it took me out a little while. I do the other ways, like attend to your monk, dude, I had. I didn't do any of that. I didn't do any of it. I made some potions, man, so good. But anyway, I was thinking about those rabbits, and I was like, that was an interesting choice, Like I love that. I love like the art direction on the graphic style because obviously it looks like kind of an old medieval sort of like. Artwork, right, But but why rabbits? And I wonder if there was a specific reason for that, Like maybe it was the rabbit like a symbol of something in the Middle Ages. Like I anyway, I just found it a little skier and random. If I'm not if I don't understand the context, I'm not sure. So those are all explained to the listener what you're talking about. So when you're getting, when you're getting, when you are trespassing, I guess when you're trespassing, or when they're anything to do with guards are looking for you. Yeah, there's a little I kind of a little white rabbit. Well, any enemies just in general, right, is that any NPC that are. Trespass in a in a house you're not supposed to be in. The right, A little white rabbit kind of looking around at the top of the screen, A little animation, a really fluid kind of cool animation of a white rabbit and then he turns o red or red as they find you. But yeah, I don't know if there's any significance to the rabbit itself. I have no idea. Huh. Interesting, while I like it because now I know, like, oh, are they looking for me? Or am I in combat? Because I don't know. I don't remember what the indicator was in the first game, like if you were if an enemy was locked onto you or was coming to you with a weapon or something like if you I don't know if there was any indication. No, there was nothing. I don't believe, so I just played it. There was nothing. Maybe just the music that must have been it. I imagine the music would be like just like Skyrim or something, the music changes right and Kingdom Come was no exception. In fact, they did a really cool thing with their music mechanics, so it must have been the only indication. Did you you ever noticed the drinking animation and you're drinking with one like when you have that cheers or whatever. It's always the same every time they go like this. They swirl it, sniff it, tilt their head, sip and nod in approval every time, like the NPC you're drinking with you and the NPCs you go swirl, sniff, till ted. It's like tilt ted sip and then no. I love how they kept I loved how they kept the Kingdom come deliverance point. He's like, yeah, the point is good. And he's like he's like, well, what were you? Yeah, you fucked me over show that's nasty. Take that fucking beer. Oh my god. It's so n I've laughed several times. Megan got high the other night and she was just watching me play it. She was just cackling because of like the accents and the voice, the voice acting. I was a drink. No, I was having a little sorry, I had a little th HD drink at the same time. And we're just like laughing listening to these They hire like American voice actors for some of these characters, so they just sound like this, Like that that guy that that comes across Hans in the village and Hans wants to fight him because he doesn't give a shit at the status at the end or whatever. Oh my god, we were laughing. So I was so stupid, But I have laughed several several times over the dialogue and the voice acting is hilarious. Some of the side quests are so funny. They're so fucking funny, like getting drunk with but you'll you'll find that one soon, Daniel getting drunk with the nomad guy. Oh man, Oh yeah, the Cuban guy. Yeah, that's funny. It's good. You should leave it at that if we Yeah, I look forward to playing more very much. So I probably will tonight for a couple of times, years before we finished this and get the episode on it. I don't know. We can wait until Daniel gets X amount of hours and then talk about it, because I. Think once you get to I just want to play more quests more, even if it's not the main story, Like we won't just. We don't say the game to talk about it. I suppose, well one of us couldn't. I don't know. I don't know. I just don't know. The first map isn't even as big as the second. One, so yeah, I'm not even like I've I finished the wedding. You do the wedding and then you do a couple other stuff and so now it's it's all Kuttenberg before you go. You know it's going to be a bunch of story quests for a while. You're not gonna be able to do side stuff. So here. Yeah, being in Kutenberg is like being in a what's the big city in in Skyrim? Yeah? Yeah, that's oblivion, oblivion like oblivion. Yeah, that's what it's like, just wandering around at night thieving. Is that the whole map is just a city. No, it's just a huge city that you can go to. So there's a massive city and then out like then a map and the map is big. Fuck. Yeah, I can't wait. I can probably finish up this stupid Golden Quest and then I'll. That's tough because you gotta get like steal a bunch of shit and steal it around. Oh I had to. I had to do a hard lock hard lock pick, and I must have wasted fucking forty lock picks trying to get this hard lock. Oh my god, it's not as easy as you know. Yes, So I went upstairs because I was trying to on my legion go. I was like, I can't do this with controller. So I go upstairs and I put my mouse to like one hundred dpi and I just slowly moved my mouse and it was like perfect and I did the whole thing. It's really easy and I was a keyword, but. Anyway, I like it way better than the first one, the locking the pick. Alright, let's head into uh today's topic, shall we? Alrighty guys, Today's topic How did rock Star get this good? How did they become rock stars of the gaming industry? You know, like that's why they named themselves that. They just they just right, They just freaking knew. Like I never played an Empire. I never played GTA one or two. Uh, I played them. I didn't own it, but I played it at a friend's house. Oh yeah, like the first GTA it's like a top down Yeah yeah. I was watching videos last night about ten minutes each of the first and second ones, just kind of like because I don't really remember what they looked like. And it was interesting. It was it was like a top down for PC. It was a PC game, That's why we never like it was like an MS Dawson Windows game. Yes, but it wasn't. And then it went for PlayStation. Yeah, it was important to PlayStation in nineteen ninety eight and game Boy Color. Oh really, game Boy Color in nineteen ninety nine. Grand Theft Auto two was released in nineteen ninety nine for Windows, later receiving ports on PlayStation, Dreamcast and game Boy Color. But like, it definitely looks like it could run on a game Boy Color. It's just like a top down, very basic thing. But I vaguely remember playing it at a body's house on on I think it was the PlayStation must have the PS one port of the first one. Yeah, I remember the I remember the cover of the jewel case. But like back then, yeah, paying attention to like the fucking like what was still happening. We were just driving around. Yeah. So I'm like Rockstar has built like an empire where their games aren't just releases anymore, you know what I mean, Like they were events. People take weeks off work, you know, like people still like it's the only game that people do this for now, Like it's crazy. When GTA six drops, it's going to be like like everything stops. It's gonna be like a bomb. Yeah, everything stops, everyone stops. All the other publishers just be like Okay, let let GTA six have its two months, right. I don't want to drop a game during this eclipse of gaming where everyone is going to buy this freaking game and play this for two or three months and then we can resume our lives, right, Like, that's that's how it's going to be going. Yes, I imagine that is what will happen. Do we have a Do we know if there is anything else schedule to be released during that time? No? I think everyone's just they're waiting for an I don't think so. Well, we know. I think a lot of publishers are ut waiting for did they officially release date of it? Because I thought people were still waiting, Like publishers are still waiting for it. Yeah, it just says just stay Yeah. They said it's still coming out in fall, so yeah. There's no official release. So a lot of people are just still waiting to see this release date so they can tell people when their game's coming up. So they're just blocking off the Fall. They're like, okay, just ignore Fall twenty twenty five. Yeah, that's like COVID but video games everything shuts down. Well, so I've gathered some information we can talk about and speculate on. We'll talk about the sales figures of the other games, their development time, their growth, the platforms they were on, what we were playing, what we were doing, what we remember of the games, and we'll just like kind of discuss through the history of GTA. The following information that I've gathered my information, my sources from is VG sales dot fandom dot com, some Statista dot com for some statistics, obviously Wikipedia, and some Reddit deep dives. Okay, we'll readit deep dives. Okay, So we could just start, like, well, for me, my Grand Theft Auto journey began with granded Dotal three because I didn't play one or two. Yeah, well that's when it really took off. So the first like three d Yeah. So, Grand Theft Auto three released in two thousand and one on PlayStation two, Xbox and then later came to Windows, Mac, os, iOS now Android Fire OSS sales approximately fourteen point five million units for Grand Theft Auto three the development. Budget platforms so sorry. They released on PS. Two, originally at PS two and Xbox. Okay, so this is across all platforms, fourteen point five million units. To date I believe to date. Okay, to date I couldn't find a development budget, but the development duration was approximately two years. Two years. Well, it was definitely took less time to make games back then. Yeah, yeah, now GJ three. I was fifteen when this came out, fifteen years old, not yet a man, only a boy. I remember when word I was nine, yeah, nine years old playing an R rated game with swearing. You were playing shooting worse. I don't think I think mom knew you were playing that. Of course I didn't know this. She didn't know what the hell was going on. I remember when work called us and he's like, you have to come over right now and play this game. Yeah. We're like, okay, what is this. We go over and we're like holy shit. And then a few hours later I was banging hookers, stealing cars and playing GTA three. You can bang hookers. You go in and the car shikes. Oh yeah, the car shakes, that's right. And then you beat them up for their money. Afterwards. She drops on the ground. Yeah, block you freaking guard. Yeah, It's all we could talk about for months and months. Man. We just played that game NonStop. Yeah was cray. We only had to wait one year for the next one. Ye. Yeah, the next vice a year only a year later later. That's nuts. Only now we have to wait five to ten years between roster games. The remember you guys remember for GTA three, like just he was silent protagonist. Yeah right, The Grand Theft out of three was the birth of the three D open world for a GTA series. Right, So, first fully three D open world GTA transition from the top down perspective introduced sandbox gameplay, allowing players to freely explore Liberty City, non non linear mission structure, letting players do whatever you want, activities, breaking the law, driving cars, you know. Yeah, oh yeah, remember that map there is? Yeah, there's that. Yeah, apparently the first GTA with an actual dedicated world map, because I guess the first two didn't have any. They didn't have one. Oh don't really remember this? Oh yeah, I remember that car. Love the bandsheet. That was so sweet. So I'm assuming what we're looking at right here is the same, technically the same. We're gonna call it. I'm gonna call it land Mass as like Liberty City from g T A four. It's just that they could only make it so big, Like, yeah, Center one is like the Manhattan. Can I get a better one here. I'm assuming there we go. Yeah, the center one is Manhattan. Portland is like the Queen's right, and then shore side Veil is like, you know, Jersey and shit like that. I'm assuming. Yeah, well, Portland'd be like broke. So small compared to like what we're used to. Now Staunton Island, Dawnton is that what they call it? Yeah, Stauntonton Island. So there was advanced npc AI where like pedestrians reacted to the crimes, the traffic and player actions, voice acting, and cinematic cut scenes, making it feel like an interactive, interactive crime movie like GTA three was huge. That was mine? Was character's name again, something like fancy? What the fun was his name? It's like a. Yeah, you are we sure? He was silent? He didn't say any claude. Oh claude. Never mind, not fancy Claude. Is this it? No, that's my city? Oh that's my city? Oh cool? Remap, I don't really remember it that well. It's been very long freaking time, very cool. G T three was incredible. Yeah, blew our minds, those iconic cargo green cargo pants and ye kids and standing there. Jacket, the animations of him like kicking people on the street. Yeah. Yeah, which leads us into the next game, The Grand Theft Auto Vice City release in two thousand two. Okay, we're just released City mapp up. Platforms again PlayStation two, Xbox and then later again Windows, Mac, os, iOS, Android, all that stuff now sales around seventeen point five million units, so it's starting to grow, right, Grand Theft Auto three was fourteen point five Vice City seventeen point five million. The development duration for this game was only nine months to a year. Yeah, I heard that I in the video I watched last night. How the how did they do that? How many people? Doesn't say? No, doesn't say the budget? They couldn't find the budget. That seems like really freaking short. Isn't that crazy? They must have used a lot of stuff from the Oh they definitely had to, yeah, because only yeah, they it was something about it was something about character models, object models, car models and all this that they already had all these assets from GGA three. So it's some Neon pact on it. It's short, but then but then also is it that short when you consider how long it I actually took to make a game back then? You know what I mean, like, I don't know, but what what why? I don't understand. There's just it was new tech back then, right, just like new tech is new tech now. Yeah, but it was less space required and shipped so that everything that space was. What they had then, just like the space we had. It just they just made They just probably built off of the first one, like off of GTA three, more than they created a new game. I would assume since it was on the same platforms, it was only a year later. They probably just kind of recycled a bunch of stuff. But do I remember it was the same better engine that much better? I don't think so. No, that's why. That's what I'm saying, Like it was just a different map. It was like was it Miami Miami? Oh? This game is still my favorite Trek. It's still my favorite. Grants, nothing quite hit like Vice City did. Like nothing quite hit again. That's that's pretty like the formative. I think it's because we grew up a lot with like eighty music, you know, eighties movies, you know, and like whenever we played this was. Fucking it was like playing an eighties movie. Yeah. It took place in nineteen eighty six in August August nineteen eighty six. Tommy Versetti voiced by Rayleiota, who had no idea the scope of things to come, So it was really took home like kind of peanuts and was like whatever, but had no idea the impact the game was going to have, and so I think he tried to like, hey, can I maybe get in on a little bit more of this because like, you know, that's my voice, and I think they potentially potentially he never came back. Tommy Versetti never came made any cameos because ray would have just probably would have asked for way too much money or something. Yeah, so what kind of funny. Right, because when you're signing that contract, there's probably ship there that's like, Okay, well we own your voice for this ya yaha, YadA, you know, and he's like, yeah, what this is gonna sell about fifty copies? Like yeah, yeah, this video game? What did The guy who did Nico's voice from g t A four took home one hundred thousand I think for a year kind of thing like he for the time it was, I think it was just over a year of work and he took over. He took home one hundred thousand, so it's. Not royalties later No, oh, I don't know. I don't know about that anyway. So the Royalty Rayliota various scarface influenced. You know, you're driving around listening to flock of seagulls. Oh man, you know you got like the kind of the rainbow gradient uh h u d. The head's on display of like your weapon, so you're not looking at just like a black weapon and a square anymore. And that is so drilled. Into my brain because I remember when eventually we played San Andreas. That was different. I was like, oh do I like that? Or I want the rainbow gun back? So I remember just like shit like that. I was so used to. Vice City was the one I think I played the most. Yes, definitely one. I played the most, absolutely well, no other than five, I guess, but five was kind of different. We can talk about later. I played more online, yeah exactly. So yeah, moving from Vice City, here we go. This is when it blew up. I think, mmm, hitting in this grand theft Auto San Andreas. At least in two thousand and four for PlayStation two Xbox, then later three sixty PlayStation three windows, she enjoyed four. Phone and you all that shit. It's picturesque for me. It's perfect in my brain because we had just moved into the house on Loyalist and I was playing that on the PlayStation in your room, Nathan, on the PlayStation two on the wall right to the right of the door when you walk in, and I remember playing it and be like, man, this is cool. I really like like the kind of I don't know, the slums of like La and it's super nineties hip hop, which was like new for me because I was just still kind of like what I. Was twelve, I guess twelve white boy. Yeah, But my friend Hollister was like my only view into like hip hop and rap into that world because he loved that. He's just like grew up with like Mike, you know, m from Ingleside and just like listening to that stuff playing basketball, and like I was like, okay, So I finally got to know all the songs that Matt was talking about because they obviously were using hit songs of the nineties like you heard like Tupac, you heard Biggie and all these tunes on the radios in the car. So that was such a cool setting because it was just fresh. You know it was refreshing. I never played a lot of it. I don't know why what I was doing around that time of like, I was just not playing. The sales for this one, Okay, I remember Vice City was seventeen point five million. This one hit twenty seven point five million. Units all time. Again, so this is including up to date, I'm assuming, so yes, yeah, I mean Bob again, I couldn't find the development cost, development duration two years? Okay? How big was this game? San Andreas map? This was? This was getting big? Was where? And that was one of the reasons why it was really cool, Like this was kind of the first moment where we're like, oh shit, this is not just a city anymore. Like we can go up way into the. Hills and you know, there's beaches off and there's like, you know, on a whole other world up north kind of thing. So I made backtrack on Vice City real quick. What said it different from Grand Theft Auto three was they brought a stronger narrative, influenced by nineteen eighties crimes film like Scarface and Miami. Vice introduced interior locations. You can go inside places in Vice City, allowing players to explore some buildings right, yes, yeah, and then and and vice city. You could player you could own businesses where you could buy properties and generate income. Yeah, there was motorcycles, helicopters, customizable outfits, letting players change Tommy Versetti's look. Yeah, that's true, and the best soundtrack to date with licensing eighties music. Now, what sets San Andre is apart from the first two? I guess, uh yeah, the first two. We're not gonna talk about one and two, So three and four, the first two. The first GTA to feature customizable protagonists where CJ could gain muscle, get fatprove skills like driving and shooting and biking BMX bike yeah, BMX biker. Yes, I do a massive map. So this is when I look at it. Is Los Santos though, yes, like it's just a part of Los Santos. Yeah, because there's Los Santos is the airport right here. I think that which is in it is, But I think it's just still a smaller version of Los Santos, because that's like that's all they could fit, right, It's not like it's one portion of it and there's like an unlocked for the rest of it or whatever. That's just a scale. It's just a scale for that game and what they were capable of. But look at the fucking size of it. Look at all the hills and like the trails and the rivers and the lakes, and then you go up north and you got in. You're in like the desert, which I really don't actually remember playing Santa Drece. I don't remember the desert set. I remember taking my BMX like the desert no. Fly zone here. So this is really cool because I just remember being like, this is fucking huge. Now it was massive. I remember, I remember being very big man back then. Getting these huge maps was always exciting. Now it's a little less so because we're probably just we're just desensitized to make giant maps and sometimes just like another giant map. And we don't. And then like the time, like all of our time is so valuable. Now as we get older, we're just like, I don't know, it's fucking time for all this when you had zero responsibilities and no adult life yet. Yeah, sure it's great, but I will still take it as long as the price of video games is still around the same kind of thing and they're not charging me two hundred dollars for a giant map. That's fine if I'm still paying eighty ninety bucks and I'm getting this massive map and all these things to do, Okay, fine, yep. So hold on. For San Andreas. You could do swimming and climbing, making movement more dynamic. There was gang territories. They introduced gang territories. Yeah, take over and defend areas. Yeah. There was mini games and side activities from casinos and basketballs to burglaries and dancing. And it was the first DTA with multiple endings. The choice affected the final story. I would come cool, So that was San Andreas. I didn't play much of this one. I remember playing it and just doing crazy mayhem shit. I don't think I ever beat the story. Yeah, yeah, same. I just ran around. I would just eat cheeseburgers, get fat and be like a big fat gangster. Yeah. It was riding bike. Yeah, riding your bike and you would get less fat and you're like yeah, yeah, then I go. Back to yeah, oh man, it was so fucking sweet, so good. Jeez. Next like sweet, like nineties synth, that hip hop sin yeah. Yeah, GTA four, oh man, GTA four. Now here I think I played like at all GT I played, where rock Star really kind of started pushing the marketing and being like, this is the new gen, this is the new era. Of Grand Theft auto games. Like when we saw pictures on what trailers of like New York City kind of thing, like yeah, I think it's Liberty City. It's because there was three games or two games between two and three, and people are like, okay, when's like yeah, four, these are just like in between games and they're like this this good GTA four that comes out, It's going to be this next one. Yeah. This was when they were getting their budgets like four years later. So this was four years later two thousand and eight PlayStation three, Xbox three sixty and then later to Windows. This is when they started shafting. Well, I guess they always shafted PC, but I can understand in the PlayStation two. Era first games one and two, right, but. Now they weren't releasing on Windows for like two years after the console releases starting at this time or starting in Santadres actually well sant Andrea's knowing how a PC. Back then everyone had a console, but Grand Theft thout of four I had a PC. Yeah, but we played Max Pain, which was rock. Star we played in two thousand and four. What the hell were we playing though? That We weren't playing like two thousand and four, How old is a counter Strike? Twenty we were in I don't know if I was just playing maybe maybe we're the counterstrike. We were playing counterstrike in FBS games, That's what we were playing. So Grand Theft thout of four sold only around twenty five millions, so it kind of took a dip okay estimated budget. I was able to find around one hundred million dollars for a Grand Theft at four in two thousand and eight and eight. Development duration was around three point five to four years. The key revolutionary features in gret the thought of four was they introduced the new rage engine, right, creating realistic physics and animations. Oh yes, my favorite the Euphoria physics engine, where NPCs reacted naturally to getting hit, shot, or knocked over a serious character driven narrative, making Nico Bellic one of gaming's most complex protagonists. There was more realistic driving I don't want to go fucking right. Now, bowling. Yeah, most more realistic driving physics with the new engine obviously making vehicles feel heavy more challenging to control. Like those videos, Remember those videos. I would send you G four yeah four, so like you could maud it can I those up? You could like attribute it's like all cars a way, you know, ten hours or something like that, and like they just smash around trains. Game speed increase by one thousand percent and just the cars and the cars on the street are just flying around and like stopping and starting at like one thousand percent. And you just step into the street and you get absolutely bombed by a guard and go flying across the entire city, like and you just go absolutely flying, and then the cars crash into each other, like it's just they just explode out into the space. This is when they introduced the in game smartphone, allowing players to call contacts, play mini games, and access multiplayer. This was the first DUTA with online multiplayer, featuring multiple modes up to thirty two players. Oh really, I didn't know how big the online was. Yeah, but I think the one was the smartphone. That smartphone really took off. It was nuts, yeah, big time. Well that was around the time when smartphones, probably the first iPhone came out around then. Yeah, so that's going to say like they really they really bring in the pop culture, right, So what's happening this is what we're going to get into later for GG six, What do we think is going to happen with what's pop culture is going on now? Devices tech? What what's going to be in the in GT. But even like spreading to music because like they put the Pits of the Day on on the radio, I think, well, I don't know, I don't know if they put like the hits per se, but like they choose popular music for various stations and stuff, and GT six the soundtrack might suck then, yeah, yeah, yeah it might. So I didn't really play GT four. I don't think much either. I don't think I did know because I was high PC. I wasn't. I bought it one a lot lot like later for like ten bucks. Yeah, me too. I buzzed around. You were playing console. I was playing in it first on console. I bought it in store for my three sixty that I had that I bought from Joseph and I was playing it in the living room in front of mom and Dad on the big screen TV. And yeah, it was it was really cool because I mean again, we went from playing Sanadres and Vice City to this game, and like the way everything felt was so much more. It was weightier, Like you talked about the cars and the NPCs, but also your character. If you got hit clipped by a car. You would kind of stumble and you'd have to wait for him to get his footing or he'd fucking fall over. And you'd to go flying. And he'd like lose a little bit of health and then you have to like stand up or go flying. Or if like NPCs were grabbing onto your car, you could just drive away, they would hang on to it because they just wouldn't let go yet, and so they're just like on dangling on the car. And just like the finally like the shootouts and the gun mechanics felt better, Like, you know, getting into gunfights and attacking your enemies felt really cool. And they had like little health bars same way that sort of not the same mechanic that San Andreas had. But yeah, it was just awesome because the map was huge and you finally felt like you were in this metropolis that was like alive and never slept right like New York. Can we see the map? Did you show us the map of this one? Uh? Yeah, GT four, Jamie, pull it up, GTA four map. I was, I was looking up other games that were out that we would have been playing at that time, because we were playing PC games around that time two thousand and eight, four to two thousand and eight. Yeah, like that's we're playing PC. So I was. We were playing counter Strike, yeah, Half Life two, like, yeah, we were PC gamers at that point. I eventually got GTA four. Yeah, that's it, that's it. Well, when did win here? Max Pain was well before that, it was like ninety nine, two thousand and one. Yeah, this is mass Yeah so that still Staunton Island, I guess there with Yeah, but look how more dense it is, like the street structure. Yeah, of course what we got here broker Bridge so like Brooklyn Bridge obviously, yeah, yeah, north nice where I was starting to get really excited and I'm like pulled out. You know. The game, the physical game came with the big map, It came with the PAM or the manual, the pamphlet that talked about the like the culture of Liberty City, all the different areas and burroughs and who lived there and all that stuff. So again it was just all world building and it was like finally, you know, I felt like I was part of this city that and it took forever potent or quote unquote forever to drive from like one end of the map to the other kind of thing. Once it unlocked, it firefly fine, like an island kind of thing. Yeah. Yeah, so this was really cool and you just knew there was going to be a lot to do and a lot of cool visuals and it kind of had this but also the tone of the game, the color tone, and had this sort of bleak. It was very bleak, very like very New York, like a very. New York East Coast. Yeah, there's no like vibrant culture in the same way that there's like beach culture in. The Sunshine or Miami. There's no Yeah, there's no Sunshine culture. It's just like fucking bleak, depressing East Coast. Like, So I love the ocean identity. Yeah, it was definitely part of playing it. Yeah, I never I never played it, So I have a big I probably watched you play a bunch and it was probably just like I want to go play counter Strike, Go put in some nubes on counter Strike and spray a tub girl in the tub, spray Girl. Or goat Sea. You remember goats go? Look those up, listener, that's when we entered the realm of like, yeah, an online game. That's really when we started online gaming. Moving over two, wow. Latest Grand Theft Auto in the series is Grand Theft Auto five, which was released in twenty thirteen, twenty. Thirteen, so five years later. Yeah, five years later. Platforms PS three, Xbox three sixty, then PlayStation four, Xbox one, then Windows, multi generation, PlayStation five X went through three generations this game that's in scene. Guess what, there's another generation coming next month March fourth. They are releasing the PC next gen. Oh yeah, with the rate racing and everything. Yep, which already the consoles already got it. But it's coming out literally March fourth for PC. So there's a new generation, another generation. Just making money, Okay, making money. This is free, it's free download, it'll be free. Yeah. But all right, nathanel, what's the sense? What's the briefing on GTA five. Give us the stats. We'll go to the sales. So this one sold over two hundred and five million units as of November twenty twenty four. Yeah, like people were buying this multiple times, about four times. Yeah, I don't know how many times I fucking bought this game. Like I bought it for Xbox, and I bought it for PlayStation, and then I bought it for PC. PC, twice for PC, once on Steam, and once on the original fucking rock Star bullshit. Yeah, yeah, like because they staggered, right, so you do that, That's why they do it. How many times I have to buy this fucking game? Oh man? I think I had it on x Star account because rocks are like, thank you, sir, may I have another? And here you go like, yes, thank you, give me another release. I don't remember my rock Star freaking user idea in password or what email I even created it with back then. So yeah, I bought it again. I've only purchased it on one the Rockstar. I have it on Xbox and Steam. Xbox one. Development budget was estimated one hundred and thirty seven point five million for the development, with total costs including marketing to be around two hundred to two hundred and fifty million. Wow. Development duration was approximately five years, with a development team of around one thousand people. One thousand people, that's nuts, that's absolutely incredible. But the reason why I sold a lot also people on top of people buying it multiple times. Was like we said, the amount of different platforms it was on. It ran like on PS three or like, but it would reach. It reached more people with more platforms. So in your term, yeah, you're going to you're gonna get a lot more people buying it when you're reaching that many people. But like with all those platforms, right, they developed it for PlayStation three, Right, they developed for PlayStation three, then they enhanced it probably for PS four, and then they enhanced it again for PS five Series X, right, and then now they're enhancing it again for PC. Right, Like they've got all that, They've got that plan where they they're gonna make it this way for now so it can run on this shitty fucking console. It's also been out for eleven years, so that helps two hundred million. And the modding scene is absolutely insane on it, like crazy. Yeah, I watched one the other last night where it was like ultra realistic and I was like, whoa, this discussed crazy downloaded and play it. So the revolutionary features for granted Little five where you had three playable protagonists where you could jump, right, remember that you could jump to Michael Franklin, Trevor Jump or the stories of course, allowing for seamless character switching. That was cool, much like Spider Man and Miles Morales. Oh yeah, that's true, seamless between that one. Yeah. Sometimes it would just say that Miles is unavailable or yeah, okay, like if you're on a story part. Though only if you're on a story part. So this is the same thing, and it did the same thing and jka. Yeah. So in GTA five massive the map got even bigger. Oh, let's bring up it. I love the highly detailed map, making Los Santos and Blaine County feel alive again. Los Atos was San Andreas, right, San Andreas was the bottom half I think of the GTA five map, if I'm not mistaken, or like a quarter of it. Yeah, so San Andreas was that bottom piece. Yeah, I mean because it had Los Santos, It had the Los Atos. This is the airport right the airport here. I think it was up over here because at the airport in the bottom right corner. So it was like the east coast. Maybe like this whole part of it here because he didn't have all this stuff over here. Pelomino. The size of it, the Alamo, c Plito Bay, and hell, I spent most of my time in kind of like yeah, and the upper left because I had like my base up here in the online Yeah. Your businesses, like your business They were all cheaper on the outskirts, So that's yeah. So so more after that was they introduced the heist system. Oh my god, offering multi step player choice driven robberies. Was that? Did they do that for the for the single player? I mean it was on both We used to do a lot of heists. I'll just run through the rest of this first person mode. They brought that in having their way to experience GT GT Online, which was massive online world that became the most successful multiplayer game ever ever, making billions and billions of dollars t T online. Yeah. And then the dynamic stock market with your computer and all the apps on your PC, letting players invest in game businesses. Holy crap, man, crazy unfucking believed crazy. Hack before you kill like the Facebook guy or whatever, and yeah, and you like invest in the competitor. Yeah, and then it and then it just skyrockets and. I'm like, oh, yeah, I get like twenty million dollars or something like that it was like one hundred million. They kept thinking. They just kept pushing that bar higher higher each game, each game they found something incredible to introduce. I've read to you guys each game what they introduced, and I was like, how could get better than that? G four? Okay? How could get better at GJ five? Like, wow, how can it possibly get better than this? You know, well, I can tell you. It'll just be more realistic. I guess, yeah, exactly. I can't tell you. That physics though, like the the unrealistic kind of lean rag doll shit. You know. Yeah, I don't think that's going to change. Because Red had two had it. It's the same thing. Yeah, you're running people over with your with your horse drawn carriage. But I played this on PlayStation GGA five. I played on PlayStation three. I had bought it for. I wasn't I can't believe I was on PlayStation three. It was. I think I bought it for PS three and I I was so underwhelmed by the graphics the first time I remember it, which is so funny because when I loaded up GTA four on three sixty, I was like, this looks beautiful. I wasn't seeing all this fucking garbage pop in. I wasn't seeing all these unrendered textures blah blah blah. But when I played GTA five on PlayStation three, I was like, what am I? What's going on? But you're like, what am I looking at? That happened when I popped in Red Redemption two for the Xbox One, it was atrocious. Yeah, they're like twenty four fps, the disgusting alias grab. It was horrible, and that's it made me borribly alias on on GT. The Xbox one X was to play Red Redemption to properly, because I did play because I couldn't wait two years for it to come on PC, right mm hmm. Yeah, anyway, so I just kind of like grimmed and bared it through g t A five and like, I enjoyed the game, but I feel like if I were playing it on a far better console with like the graphics that were meant to be the way it looked, would have I would have enjoyed it a lot more, especially because like it's l a you know, it's that you don't play No, I mean, I got I got it on New Gen. I played online and I saw like the enhancements or whatever, and I was like, okay, but like I'm not into it now. I'm not going to fucking replay it, you know. Uh So anyway, it was very cool. This play was very cool because it was huge. You know. You could do like you. Take the CD out, you can swim, you could dive, you could take a submarine under the water. That was crazy. I really liked that. The three character. Thing, that was kind of cool. Yeah, you got a piece of everything. They had different special abilities. There's like cool they all like each of them. The driver, the three different cultures too. But you had Michael was like super rich rich Hollywood Hills. You had Trevor, who was just the trailer park detestable track. What a great character you had. And you had Franklin. There's so many characters. Hood Yeah, I have notes about that later, but yeah. Okay, GTA five and then GT online a whole separate entity is where I spent most of my time, my customized character, living in a penthouse in this amazing apartment, you know, running my drug businesses up in the hills, killing people, you know, just steals. And what I did was I just made money to buy more clothes for my character. That's all I really did, and then I would suit him up in a cool suit. He was very slick back hair glasses. Yeah, very cool. I loved it. Yeah. Most of my time was spent in online. I mean the biggest thing it all translated to the online when wats wide became so successful. I think it's a whole new world, and it's a whole new It's one of the most played games on Steam. Still. I think it's one of the most watched games on Twitch. Still, I think yeah, still, yep. It's what I played the most of is the online. It's just such a good world to hop into with friends and play. And we had a lot. Of fun playing KTA five online, like a lot of fun. I checked my Xbox account. I have three hundred and thirty hours in GTA five and that's online because I played more of that on Sea of Thieves yet, which is funny because I thought you'd have had like five hundred hours on GTA five online or something. Well, I played. I played the story on PC when I first got it, and then when the guys got it for Xbox, we started playing online. So I bought it again for Xbox Play online. And did you like the tutorial whatever? And go through so you could start your online guy. Yeah, and I have three hundred and thirty hours in that just that, and most of it's just driving around fuck. Doing doing the heists. It was like the raids, like an hour and a half too. It was like it was like a raid you had to do like you had to do it perfectly or you would just and it's how you had to get your money. It was the easiest way to like to get a pilot cash so you could buy something cool in game, like buy your buy your business, buy a business, buy a property, buy a new car or whatever. So we would keep having to do the heists and getting some money. We'd have to do spend a little bit of time going to do our business stuff, collect some money, and then most of the time though, we would just be fucking around, crashing into people with our like armored cars and seeing how many how much mayhem we could cause. We would go to the bridge on the Pacific Coast Highway here the. Lagos Zancudo goes on Kudo by the Air Force base, right, So we would go on that bridge and we would just balm people off of it and just cause just a complete mayem and we had some hilarious clips. Man, I got to go find them, but I think they're on my hard drive, like I have a few too, because they're not on the cloud anymore. They stopped. They said they were deleting them all so you have to download them to your local So I got to get them off my Xbox and somehow bring them on the computer because they're hilarious. It's so soon, soon, so good content. Guess how much DTA five has grossed almost a billion since twenty thirteen. Yeah, I don't know, like three billion. No, Apex Legends has made three or four billion, so probably like ten billion. Eight point five billion dollars. Oh eight point five billion, man, billion, Ruckstar, don't care how much it did cost to make the game. The next one's going to make so much much money. The next one's going to make so much money. How much you going to say the next one's going to cost to make? Like in the end, tell, okay, five hundred million. No more than that. We're going to get into some GTA six talk. Okay, And like, dude, there was reports that the latest call of duty or one of the call of duties, I forget which one. It was cold War Black Ops. Cold War costs seven hundred million dollars to make a fucking call of duty game. Yeah, like this is going to be. In the same time. So in the time since twenty thirteen, we've been waiting right for GTA six. Okay, so they drop, We'll go Red Dead Redemption too, they drop that. Okay. Platforms PlayStation four, Xbox one, Windows, and STADIU. So it took about a year. I think it was a year to hit PC after after the consoles dropped and this one sold approximately seventy million units. Development budget was approximately one hundred and seventy five million dollars. Development duration around eight years. It took and two thousand people working on Red Dead Redemption two. Could you imagine working on a project with two thousand people, Like, think of that in terms of your job at work, and you're working on a project with two thousand people, It would be a fucking nightmare. It would take forever to get anything done. It would be like, Yeah, this project is gonna best meeting, This is gonna take twenty five years. Oh my god, that's crazy. This game was a cinematic masterpiece. From the opening scene when you're judging through that snow with the lantern blew my fucking mind. Yes, okay, and we were playing that elli other. You and I were playing that in parallel on like comms, and we're kind of just like the stunned silence, you know. That was That's what hooked me into Red Dead two. Is that opening experience, because I was like, I feel like I'm in the frigid five funtains and I am here. Incredible. The only reason I didn't give it a ten out of ten because it was too fucking long. Yes, it was very long, and it was a bit. Slow, Like the horse riding was slow. Obviously it's gonna be slower because you're in fucking wild West, right. Hey man, it depends what stallion you got. Yeah yeah, but like the pin but it was almost a perfect game for me. Just because of the length. It was a bit too long. It kind of dredged out for me a little bit. But man, like they nailed everything else in that game. It was so incredible to just experience the story, the characters, uh, what you could do, like the map, like the wild West was so cool, so fucking cool. Uh. Yeah, there was a lot of freedom in Red Dead two. Like I just I love. That's what it comes down to for me is freedom, things to do and like the living. Breathing world. I loved the idea that there was this town called Valentine that I could just kind of like walk into, go into the into the saloon, have a drink, see what was going on, and just kind of walk around, go to the gun shop, go to these like shops that like had these different Yeah, it's humongous Valentine. Fuck. That was so awesome. The photo mode was brilliant, beautiful. The mining, the mining place. This is like divide it into kind of states or something. Yeah, this is where I started to see like what Rockstar. Could do even beyond the GTA games. I was like, oh, okay, I see what kind of direction they're going for if they're going to keep this up. This kind of sort of like second life thing where you know, you walk around as a cowboy and it was just all so immersive, and that's all I care about. You know what it would have been, you know what would have been really awesome if they really dug deep into like a ranch simulator like in that like yeah, you know what I mean, like you owning your ranch, you're raising the cattle. You're you're going to get new cattle, horses the whole bank. Yeah, like imagine they did, that would be gone. Moon Redemption wouldn't even come out. We got to like deter some wolves and coyotes from livestyle. Customize your your ranch house fielded even bigger. Oh yeah that would be cool. That would be sick. Maybe that'll be. For that. But like the I think the attention to detail. Yeah it was in it was in DT. I like, yeah, okay, it was, but like you realized the detail in Red Dead Redemption too, Like it really smacked you in the face in Red Dead Redemption to the horses when it got cold, they shrunk, you know, they shriveled up to the horse's body when you go when you bring them into the snow lands. Yeah, take a look. I didn't know this. And then the uh, just the engravings and the gun work customizer guns. I'd like awesome, custom very very awesome. That was a big That was a big thing for me in terms of like the not even just customizing that was really cool, but also just the maintenance, the mundane of the of the realistic existence as like a cowboy or clean whatever. Yeah, you got to clean that ship because it won't work good. Won't good if you don't oil it and maintain it, like you'll lose range on it. And I love that if it's gonna that means that it forces you to do it. This like mundane task in the game that is immersing you. You know, it's like, oh, well you're going to shoot as well? Did you actually go down this dirty ass weapon? Yeah? Everything, Like I had multiple effect stats. So but but the sound design of of why pyping your gun down and oiling it and like cocking it and like checking two. Thousands people it in his hand? Okay, two thousand people. Just my last point for red red Redemption two. The online playing poker. You go into a saloon and you play poker with other people online and it's like super realistic poker game in the wild West. Like you can't you can't touch that. It was so awesome. It was so cool. And you look around the table and you see the customized characters and like you play Guyl so gross. Yeah, we were so fucking disgusting. My guy was awful looking. It was a disgusting like pop facete just click dirty wooden teeth or something like yes, disgusting. Well yeah, that was like just seeing the cards and looking across the table and you're playing with other people in this world like that was incredible. Yeah, I did play. I played online a little bit with Jason Jagster twenty one. I think that was the first appears of Moses Lester. Yes, yeah, I think I kind of went for like a my eye was still very ugly, but he was like the lesser ugly of but my face was all pitted because they really didn't give you like pretty options. That's really funny about as they had fun with. Like Okay, let's give them really ugly facial features and to choose from. But it was cool because I feel like I kind of should have played more Red Dead two online. I feel like I would have liked it a little bit more than Wasta because. I don't know. Yeah, I didn't. I didn't. I tried. I tried, but it was very slowly getting point to point on the horse, like trying to get to those events. I was like, uh, and then people come and rob you off your horse, like you're trying to get this mister, mister other people like online, you're trying to You're trying to bring this package from this city to this city. It's going to take you like thirty minutes on horseback. We fly by in a flying horse with a rocket. It's like, what is this? Well, yeah, I turned, I got off. I got off the online because there's a bit too slow. But like the in the fights, like the gunfights, in the in the saloons, robbing banks, all that kind of shit. Red Dendemption two was incredible benchmark. That was benchmark for what Rockstar is about. Yeah, it is about to half. It's going to have to surpass here. Yeah, okay, so let's talk about it. How did rock Star like get this good? You know, so we've got we've got some points here. We got unparalleled attention to detail. Yes, which we were talking about, Yeah. Which we were talking about. So it went from g t A three to GTA five, just upping that ante. Every single game they came up with something to just you know, push the envelope. Cinematic storytelling. Every game had a sick story. It was so good, so good the ones I played I didn't play for, but all that kind of stuff. And then you could see the development cycles and the perfectionism going through. So you started at one to two years, three years, eight years, and now GTA six what is it twelve years, thirteen years, twelve now twelve years? Yeah, okay, it almost it's gonna be thirteen yeah, right. And then just when you have that juggernaut, like a thousand people working on a game, two thousand people working on Red Dead Redemption two, this hype, like the pop culture phenomenon and the hype mastery that they've come up every single release and people are like booking time off, they're making sure like nothing interrupts this launch. Okay, it's always the game to play. It's always the game to play. And now they've put the fear in all other publishers and they have their window because they know and Rockstar knows, they freaking know. They're holding everything ransom. Yeah, they're holding the industry at hold, like they're they're halting industry until they come out, drop their game, let everyone get it out of their system for two or three months, and then they can then other companies can resume to sell. Games like yeah, because the reality of it is like imagine being another developer and you have to gauge. You're like, okay, our game versus GTAI stop is like who's gonna buy what. You know? Or what are they gonna buy theirs or ours kind of thing. I will tell you that I'm looking forward. It's like a weird relationship with GTA for me now that after I played five, because I was kind of like, eh about it, should replay five? So you should do? Yeah, maybe, but I was I looked forward to GTA four more than I did GTA five. So but I think now after I've experienced Red Dead two, I have far more of an interest in seeing what GTA six is going to be and I think that it won't let me down like GTA five did and in way, so it's unfortunate. So let's talk about each point here. So unparalleled attention to detail. What do you guys, What do you guys want to talk about here? Well, we're When you talk about that, you probably think of the world. The world is probably the first thing you think of when you think of a GTA game is the map. It's the it's the world, It's the random things that are happening while you're walking by. With every next GTA announcement, we're always like, oh, well, where's it going to take place? Like where's it going to be where's the map, what's the new setting, Like, what's the new setting? Because we want to see how Rockstar translates a real world place into yeah game funny, yeah, exactly where you'll be bombing around and all this dumb and stupid shit happens. Like, but it's like a translation of a real place. And the similarity of the worlds to their real life counterparts. Are they're going back out of the emergency city. I'm assuming yase, it's Miami, it's vice the present day. Yeah, right, So the similarity of the worlds to their real life counterpart helps too with the immersion, and and it also includes like celebrity characters that are probably going to be based loosely on real life people, but like exaggerate. Imagine the satire and that's going to be crazy. Like there's gonna be so many Like I think there's gonna be a lot of that ship like meme. We've already seen meme meme references and stuff like that. Because the trail just like fake TikTok videos. Yeah, like Florida Florida man, and yeah, we know there's gonna be a Trump. There's gonna be Trump in there. Oh, yeah, he's got. You think it's gonna be about like the presidency of something. No, it's no, it's a joke of this clown adversing though. I think it's just gonna be about the two. It's just about the two. But it might be like in the background on the back, be like a modern Romeo and Juliet maybe. Think, oh, you know, okay, I think I think there's gonna be a president thing in the background, like a background kind of like they have a mission. No, just like on the TVs or the news radio. You're gonna hear a lot of shit on the news radio, of course, about like a joke ass president who fucking just yeah, probably for sure, I think. So. I just want JB's move back. Yeah, oh he's coming back. It's all I want. I'm assuming because that was like the greatest fake radio station. I just listened to that radio station. Can I get a home I can get anything else for that one. No, that's all I had for that one, Daniel, No, but that's true. I I didn't. I I also wrote that too, so from broad aspects, you know, attention to detail, like environment, I put you know, when I was thinking of red dead two. I'm thinking valleys, meadows, snowy mountains. Uh, you know, the rain and the puddles and the reflections in the water, like and the way your pants would just get muddy when you're walking through those, you know, with your boots through the mud and stuff. Hunting legendary animal crafting. You know, you couldn't get unless you were doing that there. Animals scared the ship out of me. Oh yeah, when it first happened to me, Oh my god, that was scared of the ship out of me. That was intense. I remember hunting that thing down and you're kind of in the woods West. It was like near blackwater kind of thing, and it started raining for me, it was pouring rain. And all I hear it was like like snarling. Multiple times. It was the panther. I got mulled by multiple times. Scared dish, that was scared. They're so fast. But anyway, I love that. But again, that's just that side stuff like I want things to do in these games. And this is the detail we're talking about. I'm not talking about fine detail per se, but just like the fact that if you're a person in a world that doesn't always come down to the main story that you're doing. It's like there are other things you can do, you know. The shootouts were addictive because they had like Western inspired like death animations where dudes would just walk away staggering or they holding their neck and then they were finally ye you know, and they would like take a while to die and it would almost be comical in a way because of them, like the Westerns from the old like the sixties film Off the Side. Of the Cliff. Yeah, there were just things like that. That's what I had down. But also we talked about already the stats and qualities of GTA San Andreas, where you know your fat level, your stamming, all that. So that was the stuff that really kind of opened my eyes. I was like, your character feels customizable now, Like I can do things to my character that have an effect on gameplay. So if I'm too. Fat, I'm too slow, which means I have to cut a little bit, I got to go to the gym, I have to stop eating burger shots so much. My guns, my weapons skill, my shooting skills going up because I'm using them more, or my flying skill and all that stuff. So that was really cool, and that is where I started seeing it a lot was in these rock Star games, so it opened my eyes a little bit, and I think that I don't know that they're the first to do it though, you know, are what other games were doing that kind of thing? Why rock Star were other games doing that kind of detailed oriented sort of character customization, like an over the world like that? I don't think so. I mean, when did Skyrim come out twenty twelve, Oblivion D two thousand and four, Yeah, really in the same so shortly? Yeah, oh no, same year before. I think a year before. He before. Oh oh wow, RDR two was wait later, yeah, so yeah, there was actely doing it twenty eighteen. Okay, Well, anyway, that's all I had written for attention to detail, because like it's hard. It's almost so much that it's hard to explain in one sitting and you can only experience it to know kind of thing, you know, like you have to play to know what we're talking about. Anyway, the next point, if we're ready in a thanel, do you have anything for attention to detail? I said with the next one ball also was was Red Redemption two, the first one that like whenever you walked and tredged through the snow. It packed the snow down and. Well there was no snow in Red Dead one, right, but it was huge desert whenever you walked through the snow. Was this the first game that like stayed down and like memorized where you walked? Yeah, it's the only one I remember. We saw that in Techan Do you remember Tecan and PS two they did a lot. Oh yeah, the first Like, yeah, I remember that that. I was like, wow, cool. Yeah, you were looking at the snow and dead or alive too? Okay you were not, No, you were. Not all right? Uh yeah. Cinematic storytelling. They blend Hollywood level storytelling with deep immersive game mechanics, like we've mentioned in our little guide through their series. Games like Red Head Roders two, g t A five, g t A four proved that they're not just about chaos and mayhem. They know how to tell compelling stories with unforgettable characters, like you know, oh GJ four was Nico be Like, oh GJ five was these three guys? Yeah? Well yeah, I didn't know voice claud but the voice acting and the characters. There was a voice acting for Claude. No, but like in four and five five was unbelievable. The voice acting in five and the writing of the characters like maybe not so much like three and four or three, and sant Andreas didn't have amazing voice acting from what I remember, but four and five definitely did. Yeah, and then read ed Red Dead. Yeah, absolutely Red Dead. It was crazy Trevor from g t A five, absolutely fucking hilarious character, unhinged, played by Steve og He did a lot of heavy lifting in terms of like carrying the story for me, it was just so fucking funny, like just keeping you invested kind of thing. And in GTA five some of the side characters were just hilarious, like Lamar Lamar. It so funny. He made me laugh a lot. But yeah, like Red Dead Redemption two, the voice acting was unreal, but again it helps for the character development too and the storytelling. Yeah there, I don't really know. It's hard to say, but the most in terms of the storytelling, the most reaction I got have been not from the GTA games uh well yeah, no, mostly from Red Dead, Yes, for sure. The Red Dead games one and two were the ones that actually made me feel shit and like. Were especially Red Dead two. You know, with Arthur and everything that happened there, and like John Marston and his kid in Red Dead one, because you guys didn't play it, so you don't really know enough if you watched any videos of how like Red Dead one ends. But like there was a lot for me, that was where the heart of. The emotional was. And I got the most out of that storytelling. GTA not so much. I wasn't really too invested. I was just kind of like there for the ride sort of thing. But I cared about about Arthur Morgan and John Marston. I cared about that and like his family and Abigail and Jack. You know, I was like, oh, okay, like what's going to happen here? And you know, what's going on with Arthur? What is this? And so it like freaked me out and I wasn't sure. I wanted to see where it was going. But of course, if you want to beat the game, you have to so that that for me anyway, were the most recent reactions that I got from the beautiful storytelling. You know, when it comes to other games from Rockstar, if we're talking about Max Payne and stuff, you know, Max Pain two, I played a lot of I played Manhunt not so much, right, Yeah, like they're older, they don't really, especially when they're dark and gritty like man Hunt. You're at you're a freaking you're a convict who has to like you're forced to participate in a series of snuff films by killing criminal gang members in Carcer City, which is actually the neighboring city of Liberty City, so it takes place in like the same universe. So you know, there wasn't a lot of a lot of great Well, actually the storytelling was cool in there because it was everything was throught filmed through a camera, so you had this record button in the top right corner and you could record clips of you killing the gang members that you needed to, so like every death, every takedown was a film like part of a camera recording. So that was kind of a cool way to tell the story. But in terms of like the emotion, I got the most from Red Dead and Red Dead too. Okay, we got to move in here. Well, just gonna skip through these real quick like I did before. Well, the development cycle and perfectionism, it's just obviously they're self published. They are not pressured by anyone, They don't sit above to kind of rush anything out, which is a boon. Yeah, it's a boon to. The to the games they release obviously, And they're not ignorant, I'm sure to the many multitudes of other games that are failing because as of this. Yes, they're not stupid. They also likely not going to jeopardize their investment. If this thing costs a billion dollars, you know what I mean, they're not gonna want wash it out. They're not going to rush it out after all the time and the effort of two thousand people that they, you know, put into this project, just to put it out when it's not done. That would be stupid. But also for the PC part of it, PC is hard to develop for There's thousands of hardware configurations, drivers, CPU drivers, GPU drivers, all this bullshit Like that's going to take time. That's why they take That's why they take an extra year for the PC. That was the developments like a lightwise take. It took eleven years for GTA, it took it's twelve. Years for the jew You don't see a lot of years. Now, we'll patch that with Rockstar like you get a solid fucking game when it. Comes, yes for SU sure, Yeah, and then the cultural phenomenon is just they're taking what's going on and they satire, they make it fun, they make it amazing, and then they give you a good story to really push that, to push that through. And like, the hype is real. It's going to be massive. I mean, the hype is crazy. This is the game everyone's waiting for. The entire gaming world is waiting for. I mean yeah, and then John's watched. It's the most played. The last point is a fear factor in the industry, Like they publish their own shit, right, so they we know it's going to be an incredible game, and everyone's waiting for it, and publishers just have to wait, just have to wait, let it drop, let it do its time, and then continue on. They're yeah, they're just completely upheaving, like a whole four month like three or four months of game releases that that are uncertain now because of this game Fall. What does Fall mean? Like it's going to be something in October. The only thing that could just release and still sell is Nintendo and as Elda game. Yeah, you know what I mean. Nintendo games. Yeah, yep, that's the only thing that because everyone's gonna be like, oh, I'll get that too. It's different from movies, like you had to known here saying it's like a dropping an indie film on the same weekend as Avengers. But it's kind of different because you can watch two movies in a weekend. Yeah, you can. You can't play two games like big games. Play through two big games in a weekend like that takes much more time you want to just like you want to spend eight hours playing like starting the intro of this one game you've been waiting for, and then like after that, you just want to play more, and then you don't want to play the other one quote unquote, So it's like, I don't know. Yeah, it is a bit different because you have to spend you have to commit way more time. It'd be more like watching a ton of like a series with a ton of episodes. So want to speculate on GT six, what might they introduced. If you've got to got points. Yeah, I think there's gonna be more like more tech. There's gotta bro tech bro Silicon Valley, like Zuckerberg. Billionaire law Yoh, yes, there's gonna be any like metaverse. There might even be like a metaverse inside. Yeah, like the virtual reality yet. Like inside the game, like a like second life, Second Life, like a second second Life. I can definitely see that. I don't even know. I had nothing written here, is like, I don't know what they can bring. What could I want to know? Is I want to see it? Look? Could they possibly friget it? It's very intriguing. I cannot wait. But Mad is going to be huge that it's not going to come out on PC, so I'm going to have to get it on PS five. And then just drudge through fucking thirty fps. Bullshit. Now do you think Xbox if the Xbox comes out with a midst mid gen refresh or something they're. Waiting, will this make me buy a PS five Pro? Probably not. It's gonna make me buy the game twice because I'm gonna have to buy it again on PC. You know, like, I'm not gonna wait six to twelve months to play this game? Are you fucked in the mind? No, I'm not gonna wait that long. Yeah, that's so stupid. It's gonna sell console, it's gonna sell consoles, it's. Gonna sell p S five pro. PS five pro sales are gonna fucking blow up. Yeah. Maybe I'll buy one. Blow up. Blow up. Now we did the g GA speculation, Why don't I just want to go through why real quick, I'm gonna say, why don't they Why why do they push the PC release states? Or it's most likely because what Jonathan was saying, you know, it's gonna take a little bit longer to iron out all the all the bugs and stuff, with all the hardware differences, the software differences, especially. If we're calling them perfectionists, like they're not gonna that's exactly what. Yeah, I already already. Said, that's just gonna We're just gonna have to wait. But you know what, when it does release on PC, they usually release with a little bit more features, like more graphical features. The online one comes out at the same time as the PC release. Yeah, could be, could be What are they gonna do with GJ five online? Poured all your shit over, Like, what the fuck they're gonna do with that? I don't know. I don't know. That's another thing to think about. They've made eight point five billion dollars people spending money on that. They they gotta do something for those people. That's not me. I didn't play that, but like I didn't spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on tto. Games don't last forever, so I mean even live service games. Now check this out, Coursair, can I share my screen? Probably peripheral maker Corsair says, Grand theF Thoto six is coming to PC in early twenty twenty six. Then immediately, yoick, sit back, what yeah? So Grand Theft Thought of six is still on track for a console release in the fall of this year, and a PC version of the game is still firmly in the realm of wishful thinking. So as you can imagine the gasp of hope when the Corsair Vice President of Finance and investor Relationships Ronald van Wueen mentioned a not two distant PC launch during the company's recent quarter financial call, and the air went completely out of it because, of course, course here had to immediately walk it back. GTA six is probably one of the when everyone is talking about, Van ween said, in response to a question about the impact of upcoming games and hardware sales. And we'll get a glimpse of that I think later on in the year for console. My understanding now it's going to come out in the fall for console and then early twenty six for PC is what he says. I don't know what he know. I guess would he know that? Oh yeah, he needs he needs he needs to tell his board and the people making money and and peripherals to get ready because oh what about us? Right of course, Air's like, what are we going to sell and get on this gran granted mit team train? Yeah, oh yeah, okay, yeah, we need to know, so we need to start manufacturing this shit and getting ready for. Use keyboard and mouse on console. Or controllers for PC whatever, yeah, controllers, yeah, whatever, It is all right. Hopefully there's a little glimmer of hope that we might see GTA six earlier in the year instead of a year later. That would be pretty dang cool on PC on PC. Yeah, well that's what I was going to say. Maybe they joinked it back because it's going to come apps sooner rather you. Can only hope later. I can only hope. But I will be buying it for PS five. I guess like I'll going to have to buy it and play it on PS five. Yep, Hey, there's nothing wrong with PSI. There's no way I'm buying PS five pro. I'm not going to do that. There's no fucking way in hell I'm doing that. And then I'll just buy it again on PC and I'll freaking play some more of it on PC. Well, I think that wraps it up. That wraps it up. Anything else boys before we outro. No, that's all for me. No, I just think it goes to I think it just ultimately, the bottom line is we trust rock Star to deliver, you know, based on their track record, which we only really felt like. I felt like we scratched the surface here, you know, just of their whole experiences, like we didn't talk about. La Noir, you know, so smart. There's just so much, so much, and I think that we have a lot to look forward to. Yeah, like just thinking about how you couldn't think of what they were going to do next, you know, like just like we are right now, and then GTA five comes along and they give you an entire market to crash to make money to buy properties, you know, like just they're they're they're cooking something up and I can't wait to see it. Okay, I can't wait to see it. All Right, that's it for this week's episode. We want to thank everyone for taking the time to listen, in or watch.
