[00:00:00] Like they were playing Blood Bowl but they were allowed to like pay to cheat. And so I just like walk over to his table and there's just like 15 dudes laying on their sides and I'm like, are you winning? And he's like, nope, actually I'm losing right now.

[00:00:17] Actually I've lost everything.

[00:00:28] Okay, so Arthur got a hold of my camera and was just going to town with it, like taking photos and selfies and stuff with it.

[00:00:34] What is it like a Polaroid camera?

[00:00:37] No, it is like a regular webcam, but you can tell it's a camera or whatever.

[00:00:40] And he has just loosened the crap out of it. So it is just like flopping around like on top of my computer.

[00:00:47] So I'm trying to get something like set it up and then just instantly goes and just falls back over.

[00:00:53] The sound waves are enough to like knock it loose.

[00:00:56] Yeah, I don't know if it's just like the wind hitting the monitor and shakes it slightly.

[00:01:00] So if you slowly start panning up or whatever, because it's just gonna be the top of my head by the end.

[00:01:05] Dude, it has been fucking wild in Oklahoma lately. You talking about the wind?

[00:01:08] Like you saw that video I sent you, right?

[00:01:11] Yeah.

[00:01:12] Wait, with the firefighter one?

[00:01:13] A fucking lightning struck in my apartment complex and blew up like four fucking apartments.

[00:01:20] Like burned down the whole building, the whole thing.

[00:01:23] Rachel, you've seen it, right? You've walked past it since like, what does it look like?

[00:01:26] Is it destruction?

[00:01:28] No, really. I mean, it looks like they've just, it looks like the roof burnt some, but the whole building is fine.

[00:01:34] I mean.

[00:01:35] That is the third fire in my apartment complex.

[00:01:39] In like recent, they're still fixing the other two and they're all around my area.

[00:01:43] Like I, it's like act of God, basically.

[00:01:46] Just God is determined to make my apartment complex.

[00:01:49] Well, last night, like the sirens were going off all night because there was tornadoes here.

[00:01:55] And I was like, instead of like being worried I was gonna get hit by a tornado, I was honestly worried that the apartment was just gonna catch on fire while I was asleep.

[00:02:06] Dude, for real, man.

[00:02:07] That's the crazy thing too, because we, we live on Southwest 89th and the tornadoes touched down on Southeast 89th.

[00:02:14] Jeez.

[00:02:14] It's like, so it's like right over there. Like, right. It's so, it was so close. It's like, I don't know what the fuck's going on, man.

[00:02:21] And I was drunk. I was just out like a light. I was sleeping like a baby. So I would have died peacefully.

[00:02:27] No, I mean, it's the people that are sober. That's the issue, right? It's like they embrace themselves.

[00:02:34] Yeah, you talking about like, uh, people getting into car accidents?

[00:02:36] Yeah.

[00:02:37] If you're drunk, you're like loosely, or if you fall asleep too, I think it's the thing.

[00:02:43] Yeah.

[00:02:44] I chose to fall asleep so that I'd be relaxed in case if I blew away because I wasn't drunk.

[00:02:49] So it's just like, I'm just gonna go to sleep to the sounds of these fucking tornado sirens.

[00:02:55] It was kind of peaceful.

[00:02:57] Like one of my friends was like blowing up my phone because she freaks out so much.

[00:03:01] She just like, would not stop three o'clock in the morning, just blowing my shit up.

[00:03:06] Like, are you okay? And I don't respond. And she's like, I'm gonna assume you're alive.

[00:03:11] And I'm like, yeah.

[00:03:13] That's the opposite.

[00:03:14] That's a safe one. Say something if you're not here.

[00:03:17] Yeah.

[00:03:20] Let's fucking cake this puppy.

[00:03:23] Hello and welcome to Gaming Together, a cooperative podcast.

[00:03:25] I'm your host, Phillip, and I'm here with my co-op partner, Nave.

[00:03:27] Each pod we play through a cooperative experience, then we're late to you, the listener, this game is a creme of a creme of co-op or something better off playing solo.

[00:03:34] Hey, Nave, what's poppin'?

[00:03:36] Howdy. Just trying to stay alive, trying to survive, Phillip.

[00:03:39] That's what we all do every single day.

[00:03:42] Are you sure?

[00:03:43] Yeah.

[00:03:43] Because some people live recklessly.

[00:03:45] Some people are trying to die.

[00:03:47] You see those people parkouring on the buildings?

[00:03:50] Oh, yeah.

[00:03:51] Those people.

[00:03:52] Some people, yeah, I guess, are fighting.

[00:03:55] They're not fighting for their lives.

[00:03:56] They're just rolling with the punches.

[00:03:57] Like, yes.

[00:03:59] Dude, I saw this one video.

[00:04:01] A lot of video talk like at the beginning of this episode, but they, these people were parachuting down like a giant group of them.

[00:04:06] And one person got tangled in the other person's parachute.

[00:04:09] And they both just fell like straight down.

[00:04:11] And it was the scariest thing.

[00:04:12] I'd be so mad at whoever that was.

[00:04:13] Dude, yeah.

[00:04:14] I'm like, the last thought is just like, it would be Gary.

[00:04:18] Fucking Gary from accounting would be the reason why I died.

[00:04:23] And I assume it's going to be a thing where it's like everyone's showing up for the parachuting class and they usually like, oh, there's four of us and we go as a group and there's the one guy by himself, Gary.

[00:04:31] He's like going, we have a salsa dancing class and Gary just shows up without a partner.

[00:04:36] He's like, I guess you're dancing with the teacher again, Gary.

[00:04:40] That was me dancing with the teacher.

[00:04:42] It's he's like the guy in the, in the meme, the corner of the party.

[00:04:45] No one knows that.

[00:04:46] No one knows that I beat Dark Soul, soul level one.

[00:04:50] No upgrades.

[00:04:53] Yeah, that does sound like the kind of guy that would get trapped in.

[00:04:56] All right.

[00:04:56] Intro or gas, Nate.

[00:04:58] We've got Keith from Game Pass Grab Bag again.

[00:05:02] Our good buddy, Keith.

[00:05:04] Good buddy, Keith.

[00:05:05] Glad to be here.

[00:05:07] I heard about Rotato.

[00:05:09] Well, I heard about you guys talking about Rotato.

[00:05:11] I've played a lot of Rotato.

[00:05:13] So I was very excited when Nave told me that you guys were doing an episode and I could return for that.

[00:05:18] So yeah, I'm glad to be back.

[00:05:20] The funny thing was, is that I could see you were the first person I thought of and Phil.

[00:05:24] So this game got co-op and I sent it to Phil.

[00:05:26] Phil's like, well, we've got to do it.

[00:05:28] And so I'm like, all right, well, I got to get Keith on.

[00:05:30] And then I went to Twitter and I was like, I'm going to look for other people.

[00:05:33] I already know I'm going to ask Keith.

[00:05:34] And then I typed in, you know, like I always do look for the latest from followers type in the game.

[00:05:39] And you're the first one there in latest talking about what did you say?

[00:05:44] I don't even remember because I messaged you.

[00:05:47] That was actually, well, Andrew put it out, put out the tweet.

[00:05:50] But yeah, it was, it was came out the same day as Call of Duty.

[00:05:53] So forget Call of Duty.

[00:05:54] We're doing Rotato DLC.

[00:05:56] And yeah, that's pretty much what I did personally.

[00:06:00] I mean, you're wrong.

[00:06:03] Yeah, we also have Rachel.

[00:06:04] Rachel's chilling.

[00:06:06] Hello.

[00:06:07] Welcome to the party.

[00:06:10] I am.

[00:06:11] I mean, I'm actually happy that she kind of liked this game.

[00:06:14] I think she just likes roguelikes.

[00:06:17] Right?

[00:06:17] It's easy to like.

[00:06:18] Some of them.

[00:06:20] Yeah, some of them.

[00:06:22] Not all.

[00:06:23] Not all.

[00:06:24] You know, you talk about covering Rotato instead of Black Ops.

[00:06:27] And I finally got like indoctrinated at work.

[00:06:30] So I met the boys that I'm working with.

[00:06:33] Oh, you met the boys.

[00:06:34] Yeah, I met the boys.

[00:06:35] And you know, they're like, oh, you know, what's up, Sergeant Beatty?

[00:06:38] What's popping?

[00:06:38] And I'm like, oh, you know, new.

[00:06:39] New guy or whatever.

[00:06:40] So hello, fellow airmen.

[00:06:42] What do we talk about?

[00:06:43] And they're like games, you gamer.

[00:06:45] And I'm like, hell yeah, boys.

[00:06:46] What are we talking about?

[00:06:47] And then they're like, cod dogs for life.

[00:06:49] And I'm like, oh, God.

[00:06:50] Okay.

[00:06:51] So called me.

[00:06:52] I'm like, are you anybody play anything else?

[00:06:55] And another guy's like legal legends.

[00:06:57] And I'm like, no, I don't want to talk to that guy.

[00:07:00] Another guy's like, oh, Valorant.

[00:07:01] And I'm like, convenient.

[00:07:04] But I've only played.

[00:07:05] Hey, you should.

[00:07:06] You should do.

[00:07:07] Did you plug the podcast?

[00:07:08] That's the.

[00:07:09] No.

[00:07:09] Oh, my God.

[00:07:10] I am not gonna let them know I record a podcast.

[00:07:13] Yeah, that's not a very good.

[00:07:14] I will.

[00:07:15] You don't want people to know you do it in the first five minutes of knowing me.

[00:07:19] I send you a link to my podcast.

[00:07:21] That's not a good look.

[00:07:22] Yeah.

[00:07:23] You should have it on my business cards, you know, hand them out.

[00:07:26] I'm like their supervisor that writes their promotion statements to is like real weird.

[00:07:31] Like, no, it wouldn't do you hold it over their head.

[00:07:34] I checked your Spotify history.

[00:07:36] You see, do this thing.

[00:07:37] Oh, and then finally, you know, like the boys, they eventually fade away.

[00:07:41] And then I'm just there with like the other like in CEOs.

[00:07:44] And there's like one when I want to.

[00:07:46] I'm like, hey, you know, you weren't really in with a bigger you game.

[00:07:48] And he's like, oh, yeah, you know, I've I've been gaming mostly like single player stuff.

[00:07:52] And I'm like, I can't wait to talk to this guy about Octopath Traveler, too.

[00:07:55] And he's like, I've been playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

[00:07:58] And I'm like, oh, as I swing and I miss with every single person at work with my Venn diagram of gaming is just so out of touch.

[00:08:07] And then I mean, like, bro Tato.

[00:08:10] And they're like, what is that?

[00:08:11] I mean, I'm like, oh, you know, I've been playing a lot of Octopath Traveler too lately.

[00:08:15] And they said, what is that?

[00:08:18] And I'm like, I don't even know where to start.

[00:08:21] I'm like, all right.

[00:08:22] So do you know, Square Soft?

[00:08:24] Like, let's go all the way back.

[00:08:29] Anyways, that's that's what I've been doing at work.

[00:08:31] Let's talk about what the games we've been playing.

[00:08:34] Navy, you want to start us off?

[00:08:35] Well, yeah.

[00:08:36] Speaking of games that no one's going to know from your from your work, I'm still hacking away at metaphor in Fantasio, which I have become in our little pod pod circle, our little hug box.

[00:08:46] I have become this pillar of metaphor where now everyone that is slowly started buying it and playing it are reporting to me like, dude, that fucking fight in this way.

[00:08:56] And I'm like, dude, I know.

[00:08:57] Like there it's crazy.

[00:08:59] Like whenever I was playing visions of mana, Jerry from retro rehab and super ghost radio, he was texting me about it.

[00:09:08] And then he eventually lapsed me.

[00:09:10] He is currently on that path to lap me in this game as well.

[00:09:13] And I started like a full month before him.

[00:09:16] So it's like I'm starting to like lose some gamer cred, you know?

[00:09:19] No, you're falling behind.

[00:09:21] We talked about this last week where you're just like, you just got to sit down and play, play through the wall, even when you're not super feeling it.

[00:09:27] I really do. I fucking love this game.

[00:09:30] Rachel's come around to it, too.

[00:09:31] I think like she's been sitting around watching me play it and she's like starting to get gripped by these stories, especially the story that I just got done doing this story.

[00:09:39] The the ending of it, it was so good.

[00:09:42] And I could just feel her like locked in like I didn't even have a look at her.

[00:09:46] I could tell that she was enjoying the story.

[00:09:47] So I was I don't know.

[00:09:49] It's it's the it's the the second dungeon that I had beaten.

[00:09:52] So now I'm on the third dungeon.

[00:09:54] I'm literally in the middle of it.

[00:09:55] So I'm really excited.

[00:09:58] I'm infiltrating.

[00:09:59] It's pretty cool.

[00:10:00] It's kind of like Metal Gear Solid a little bit.

[00:10:02] So instead of doing JRPG shit, I'm going around like knocking people out and like, okay, I'm like, what's the Metal Gear Solid crossover with persona, you know?

[00:10:12] Yeah, it's it's it's pretty cool.

[00:10:15] I'm just excited.

[00:10:16] And I have so much love for this game.

[00:10:17] I can't stop talking about it.

[00:10:19] But I am going to stop talking about it because I'm playing Black Ops six, baby.

[00:10:23] It's caught dogs for life.

[00:10:24] Let's fucking go.

[00:10:26] You know, I cannot control myself at work, too.

[00:10:28] I even barked once I realized that they were talking about you guys talking about Cod and they're like, yeah.

[00:10:33] And I was like, woof woof, cod dogs.

[00:10:36] And then they asked me what I played or whatever.

[00:10:38] And I was like, I don't play.

[00:10:39] And they're like, why are you barking?

[00:10:40] Because you're a faker.

[00:10:43] Yeah, I know.

[00:10:44] Like I was I'm a fake fan name.

[00:10:46] It's like name one Nirvana song.

[00:10:48] And I'm like, uh, uh, come as you are.

[00:10:51] Well, that's when you got to give them a fake song, got to give them Bohemian Rhapsody or something, you know?

[00:10:56] Oh, yeah.

[00:10:56] So that they don't know if you're joking or not.

[00:10:59] Right.

[00:10:59] I mean, that could be the move.

[00:11:02] Anyway, but I forgot.

[00:11:04] Yeah.

[00:11:04] Oh, sorry.

[00:11:06] Oh, you were saying that you're your fake fan or whatever.

[00:11:09] Oh, black ops six.

[00:11:11] Oh, black ops.

[00:11:12] I'm enjoying myself.

[00:11:13] And the fucking diving is so funny.

[00:11:18] It gets on my nerves a little bit, but it's not getting old because it's so stupid looking.

[00:11:23] Seeing someone dive backwards out of a door and then shoot me in the face with a shotgun.

[00:11:27] I just like, God damn you.

[00:11:29] But it's all I can.

[00:11:30] You rapscallion.

[00:11:31] You rascal.

[00:11:33] It makes us look like, um, how was that game?

[00:11:36] Oh, just any of the earth offense forces where you can do the dodge roll.

[00:11:39] Yeah.

[00:11:40] Or just people are just rolling all the time.

[00:11:42] Yeah, it is the exact same.

[00:11:44] Nuketown is out right now.

[00:11:45] So Rachel was watching me beat the dog shit out of people in Nuketown.

[00:11:50] I played three matches with her.

[00:11:51] I think not with her.

[00:11:52] She was sitting there watching me, but I was MVP every fucking round.

[00:11:56] Like every game.

[00:11:56] I was like, I am still here, man.

[00:11:59] What do you saw?

[00:12:00] There was one that you did pretty dog shit at.

[00:12:03] I'm not going to lie.

[00:12:04] Are you kidding?

[00:12:05] Well, that was the beginning.

[00:12:06] You were actually dog shit.

[00:12:08] Yeah.

[00:12:08] At the beginning I was eating shit.

[00:12:09] Yeah.

[00:12:10] But then I turned it around, you know?

[00:12:12] I just had to figure out my groove.

[00:12:14] I had to fight.

[00:12:15] So this is the thing.

[00:12:16] There was like three people running around with...

[00:12:18] No, it was the Trump guy.

[00:12:18] He was...

[00:12:18] Yeah, dude.

[00:12:19] He was coming for you.

[00:12:21] He was actually coming for me.

[00:12:23] I was starting to hate this guy.

[00:12:25] I'm going to vote for Kamala now just because this one guy was bullying me in Call of

[00:12:28] Duty.

[00:12:29] It was actually a Trump clan tag.

[00:12:31] Donald Trump himself.

[00:12:32] Yeah.

[00:12:33] It was Donald Trump beating the dog shit out of me with the AI voices.

[00:12:38] Dude, I love...

[00:12:39] The proximity chat is back.

[00:12:40] There are so many people talking in game chat because everyone wants to body shield someone

[00:12:45] and then sexually assault them, you know?

[00:12:48] It's so...

[00:12:49] I did it a couple of times, too.

[00:12:51] In Nuketown, everyone's always hiding in those rooms on the second floor, yeah?

[00:12:54] Like shooting out of the window.

[00:12:55] So I just...

[00:12:56] You just run up there and grab them and then put them up against the mannequins.

[00:13:00] And then they like...

[00:13:01] You can do text chat.

[00:13:02] So someone was like, what the fuck guns?

[00:13:04] Like, what the fuck, yo?

[00:13:06] Stop.

[00:13:07] Just play the game.

[00:13:08] I'm like, you're going no...

[00:13:09] Yeah, dude.

[00:13:10] It's so good.

[00:13:11] There's this one person that ran around a corner and I killed him as he was reloading

[00:13:16] and he's like, you bitch!

[00:13:17] And then I just...

[00:13:18] I'm like, dude, I love this, man!

[00:13:20] I love this game.

[00:13:22] It is annoying, though.

[00:13:23] It's very annoying.

[00:13:24] I haven't played the campaign yet because we're going to talk about the game soon.

[00:13:28] And I'm really excited because everyone I see talking about it is like, this is not only

[00:13:32] one of the best Call of Duty campaign storylines, literally.

[00:13:36] It's probably one of the best storylines this year of all games.

[00:13:40] So it's like, okay, that's pretty hardcore.

[00:13:43] And it's making my expectations a little high.

[00:13:48] So I don't know if it's going to be...

[00:13:50] If it's going to reach them.

[00:13:52] Because my expectations are super low because of fucking Modern Warfare 3.

[00:13:55] I was not happy with that game.

[00:13:57] So...

[00:13:58] Yeah.

[00:13:58] That's all I'm playing.

[00:14:00] Nice.

[00:14:01] For me, it was my birthday in October.

[00:14:05] But while we were traveling, it was my birthday.

[00:14:08] And my wife, after we got settled, she bought me a Steam Deck.

[00:14:11] OLED model, whatever.

[00:14:13] And so I have a Steam Deck now.

[00:14:15] That's fucking sick.

[00:14:16] And first thing I did, I go into Steam with a little bit of money.

[00:14:18] And I'm like, what's good on the deck?

[00:14:20] And I look and there's a sale linking Brotato and this game, 20 Minutes Till Dawn together.

[00:14:28] And I'm like, I'm not buying Brotato.

[00:14:30] But I'll spend $2.30 on...

[00:14:33] Brotato's like $2?

[00:14:35] It was also $2.30.

[00:14:36] And I'm like, I'm not going to buy Brotato.

[00:14:39] But...

[00:14:40] This game, 20 Minutes Till Dawn.

[00:14:42] It is a Vampire Survivors...

[00:14:46] What?

[00:14:46] Clone, I guess?

[00:14:48] Or, you know, it's that genre.

[00:14:50] A bullet heaven type thing.

[00:14:53] It's good.

[00:14:54] It's worth $2.30.

[00:14:58] It's a 20 minute run.

[00:15:00] Only instead of being weird, pixely critters or whatever.

[00:15:03] It is a low...

[00:15:05] I don't even know what to call it.

[00:15:07] Like low color, high contrast or something like that.

[00:15:11] The game only has like five colors in the whole game.

[00:15:14] Like red, green, dark green and black or something.

[00:15:18] The rest of it is just shades of that.

[00:15:21] It almost feels like the old Game Boy type thing.

[00:15:23] Except yeah, there's red.

[00:15:25] The game is real good.

[00:15:27] And very stylish.

[00:15:28] And on the OLED screen...

[00:15:30] Beautiful.

[00:15:31] Like...

[00:15:32] Now that you have a Steam Deck, you should mail me that little Game Boy thing you have.

[00:15:38] Ah, maybe?

[00:15:40] I mean, would you actually use it?

[00:15:42] Maybe.

[00:15:43] Well, I mean, it would be convenient.

[00:15:44] Because then we could talk about old games...

[00:15:47] Well, I mean, you can't co-op with that thing.

[00:15:49] No.

[00:15:49] Okay, that's it.

[00:15:50] You should just get a Steam Deck.

[00:15:52] Dude, don't say that!

[00:15:53] Because I've been fucking...

[00:15:54] I've been getting ads for them.

[00:15:56] Like on like...

[00:15:57] What is it?

[00:15:58] Instagram?

[00:15:59] Like scrolling around, like seeing people playing them and stuff.

[00:16:01] I'm like, fuck dude.

[00:16:02] I've...

[00:16:03] It's not...

[00:16:03] But it's not the Steam Deck.

[00:16:04] I'm getting like the other one.

[00:16:06] Like a different...

[00:16:07] Oh.

[00:16:07] Like Rogs or whatever.

[00:16:09] Yeah.

[00:16:10] Because I've been talking...

[00:16:11] I've been thinking about...

[00:16:12] I've been...

[00:16:12] Man, I really want a PC.

[00:16:13] It's about...

[00:16:14] It's about to be time to get the income taxes ready.

[00:16:16] So it's like...

[00:16:17] I don't know, man.

[00:16:19] I really want more.

[00:16:20] I think you're gonna get the prices on the Steam Decks.

[00:16:22] I think that's...

[00:16:22] That could be a move for you.

[00:16:24] Oh, you know what it was?

[00:16:25] Is I think it was Gene Park talking about playing metaphor in his bed on the Steam Deck.

[00:16:30] And I'm just like, that sounds so fucking nice.

[00:16:32] Oh.

[00:16:33] I mean, there's a couple games that I bought for it too.

[00:16:35] Like I got...

[00:16:36] I bought Persona 5 Royale.

[00:16:38] Yeah.

[00:16:39] Valkyria Chronicles 4 and 1.

[00:16:42] Danganronpa V3.

[00:16:44] Fear 2.

[00:16:46] Because it was a dollar.

[00:16:49] And I can...

[00:16:50] Oh, I gotta buy Fear 3.

[00:16:51] I gotta buy Fear 3 for you.

[00:16:52] Fuck.

[00:16:53] Fear 3.

[00:16:54] Pfft, patooey.

[00:16:55] I'll just play Fear 2.

[00:16:57] Go in slow motion.

[00:16:59] But yeah.

[00:17:00] 20 Minutes Till Dawn.

[00:17:01] It's more of the same.

[00:17:03] Brotato...

[00:17:04] What's it called?

[00:17:05] Vampire Survivors.

[00:17:06] Except you're a high contrast girl instead of pixel whatevers.

[00:17:13] All the characters are female.

[00:17:15] Oh, okay.

[00:17:15] They're all female.

[00:17:16] And once again, they all have different abilities.

[00:17:18] And they're all kind of like this pixel anime style.

[00:17:22] Game's good.

[00:17:23] Yeah, this looks really cool.

[00:17:26] Oh, definitely.

[00:17:26] I love this.

[00:17:27] It's a vibe.

[00:17:28] It's more vibe than game almost.

[00:17:31] Like if you just want to watch...

[00:17:32] It's not on...

[00:17:33] What's that?

[00:17:33] It's not on Xbox?

[00:17:34] I was waiting.

[00:17:34] No, it just released the 1.0 version on Steam.

[00:17:38] So it's new new.

[00:17:41] 20 Minutes so long.

[00:17:41] Speaking of the new new.

[00:17:42] In Gorillaz.

[00:17:43] There's currently a Snoop Dogg event going on in Fortnite.

[00:17:48] What?

[00:17:49] Oh.

[00:17:50] Yeah.

[00:17:50] Yeah.

[00:17:51] So any Fortnite fans out there?

[00:17:53] No, Snoop Dogg fans.

[00:17:54] My daughter was telling me about it at dinner tonight.

[00:17:57] That there's like a grenade that makes you dance to Snoop Dogg music.

[00:18:01] And I'm like, oh, I love his features on the Gorilla albums.

[00:18:05] Pimps in the crib, I'll drop a like it all.

[00:18:08] Something like that.

[00:18:10] It's like, oh no, my streaming.

[00:18:11] I've been copyright struck.

[00:18:14] But besides that, I've been playing Octopath Traveler 2.

[00:18:16] Games are good.

[00:18:18] Games are good.

[00:18:20] Games are good.

[00:18:20] So next up, Rachel, what have you been playing?

[00:18:25] Phasmophobia finally hit console on the 29th.

[00:18:28] And that's all I've been playing because I want to level up on the console.

[00:18:33] Yeah.

[00:18:34] What was funny was like, because she loves this game, or at least she played it a lot.

[00:18:38] I don't know if she loves it.

[00:18:39] But like, I was like, I'm going to buy this game for her and it's going to be a surprise

[00:18:43] to be cute.

[00:18:43] And then like that day you were like, Phasma's on console.

[00:18:47] So I really just want to save up and buy that.

[00:18:49] And I was like, damn it.

[00:18:50] She fucking knew.

[00:18:51] Of course she knew.

[00:18:52] Of course she knew it came out.

[00:18:54] What was I thinking?

[00:18:55] I'm a fool.

[00:18:55] Is this the spooky ghost hunter game?

[00:18:58] Yeah.

[00:18:58] Yeah.

[00:18:59] Yeah.

[00:19:00] What's that like playing with randoms?

[00:19:02] Or do you just solo it?

[00:19:04] I have never actually played with randoms.

[00:19:07] Normally I've played with people that I just knew.

[00:19:09] Oh yeah.

[00:19:11] There are, it has like lobbies.

[00:19:13] So.

[00:19:13] I've been thinking about getting on, cause there's a discord for it that has like looking

[00:19:17] for groups.

[00:19:18] I've been thinking about getting on there and testing those waters.

[00:19:21] Cause I've heard that the like random cues is just fucking terrible.

[00:19:26] I bet.

[00:19:27] I bet.

[00:19:28] Like you join a cute like lobby and you just get kicked basically is what I've heard.

[00:19:34] Oh, it's one of those games.

[00:19:35] Super funny.

[00:19:36] So you have to have exactly what they want.

[00:19:38] Yeah.

[00:19:39] This game just seems like the kind of game where it would be miserable to because okay.

[00:19:44] So it's not a good game for beginners.

[00:19:47] It's so bad.

[00:19:49] It is so bad for it.

[00:19:50] It's so bad.

[00:19:51] I can't remember what the term for that is, but so like Rachel was talking like a while

[00:19:56] back, like maybe a month ago, she was like, I can't play magic with you standing

[00:20:00] there.

[00:20:00] Cause you will tell me what to do.

[00:20:01] And it's annoying.

[00:20:02] Well, we played this game together and I could feel her wanting me to explore and like

[00:20:07] understand the game.

[00:20:08] But then she eventually she's like, get the fuck away from me.

[00:20:10] Like I'll do it.

[00:20:10] Get away.

[00:20:11] Go find the ghost or something.

[00:20:12] And I'm like, okay.

[00:20:13] And I'm rocking around with a different thermometer.

[00:20:15] Like, okay.

[00:20:17] It's cold in here.

[00:20:20] I can see my breath.

[00:20:21] But, um, she's like, just explained, like, she's like grabbed because she got disconnected.

[00:20:25] So she's like, grab that on the ground.

[00:20:27] Look at it.

[00:20:28] Okay.

[00:20:28] See how that, okay.

[00:20:29] Now do this.

[00:20:29] And I'm just like, I have no idea what any of this is.

[00:20:32] I'm just picking up this shit and just doing what she says.

[00:20:35] But, um, it's an interesting game.

[00:20:37] It's really like the game itself.

[00:20:39] Like whenever you first start playing, it is a sludge.

[00:20:42] It's a grind.

[00:20:43] It's really like, it's a game that wants you to remember every little detail about the

[00:20:49] game and it rewards you for that.

[00:20:54] But not having any base knowledge makes it so difficult and frustrating.

[00:20:58] And it's, it's so easy to die.

[00:21:01] Yeah.

[00:21:02] Cause it's like, cause it's like I died every round.

[00:21:05] Every, I, we played three games and I died two of them.

[00:21:08] And the third one that I survived, I had like two HP.

[00:21:10] Like I was like about to die.

[00:21:12] Like it might leave that very moment when I did.

[00:21:14] I think this like whole week that I've been playing, I've died like literally two times

[00:21:19] and he, he just couldn't stay alive, but it's, it's great.

[00:21:23] It's really just like a puzzle game.

[00:21:26] Honestly, at the end of the day, that's the crazy thing.

[00:21:29] Cause she's like, okay.

[00:21:30] So it just threw that block over there, three centimeters to the left and it didn't leave

[00:21:34] the room.

[00:21:34] So it's all obviously either a capital or a yokai or watch.

[00:21:39] And so I'm like, the fuck are you talking about?

[00:21:41] And she's like, oh, sorry.

[00:21:42] She's like letting me try to do every little thing, but she's already knows what it is.

[00:21:46] And so the moment I die, she leaves and get guesses it correctly.

[00:21:50] Well, it's like to know the card.

[00:21:51] Like you have to like gather information and then you check like a book, right?

[00:21:55] Or something.

[00:21:56] Well, so we were playing on the lowest difficulty, which is you get three evidence.

[00:22:02] And with the three pieces of evidence, you know what ghost it is that like, that is the

[00:22:07] simplest way to get the right ghost.

[00:22:09] There's 24 different ghosts.

[00:22:11] You like, if you got ghost writing spirit box and like freezing temperatures, it's

[00:22:17] going to be one specific ghost.

[00:22:21] But like, as you advance in the game and like play it more, each ghost has like its own

[00:22:27] characteristics and abilities that you can like pick up on while you're playing.

[00:22:33] So like, I don't know what has been going on, but I've gotten like a gin five times in

[00:22:38] a row today.

[00:22:39] And I knew it was a gin because it never flipped off the breaker.

[00:22:42] And saying that to a normal person makes no fucking sense.

[00:22:46] No, it's like the gone home speed runs.

[00:22:50] Have you seen those?

[00:22:52] I haven't seen those.

[00:22:53] Yeah.

[00:22:53] Well, I've done one.

[00:22:54] Cause I didn't achieve it for it.

[00:22:56] You just gotta walk fast.

[00:22:57] You just gotta run up there and you gotta like stare at like a drawing.

[00:23:00] Then you open a drawer looking.

[00:23:02] It's just random stuff.

[00:23:03] And it's like, why would you know how to do this?

[00:23:05] The first time I died, Rachel was like, Oh my God, it's hunting run.

[00:23:08] And I'm like, what run where?

[00:23:10] And so I'm like, and then you, it's the low speed chase where everyone's moving one

[00:23:15] half a mile an hour.

[00:23:16] He runs into the same room that I run into, but I, so in the spot, cause I knew where

[00:23:22] the hiding, good hiding spots are.

[00:23:24] Cause there's, there's some hiding spots that are like always there.

[00:23:28] Even if you have hiding turned off, cause they're not like real hiding spots.

[00:23:33] And so I just go straight to the place where I know I'm not going to get, get got.

[00:23:37] And he just like runs in there and it's like standing across from me.

[00:23:41] And I like smudge the ghost to distract it and make it turn around.

[00:23:46] And he just walks back out.

[00:23:48] He's like, Hey, I'm right.

[00:23:50] No, no, but you know, it's a fun game.

[00:23:55] I like it.

[00:23:56] Did you ever play basketball Keith?

[00:23:58] No, Andrew plays it a bunch or has played it.

[00:24:01] I think I know he's talked about it a bunch, but I've never actually played it.

[00:24:05] So write them down Phillip for when we talk about it eventually.

[00:24:09] Yeah.

[00:24:09] It's on the list.

[00:24:11] The list is getting big.

[00:24:12] I know that rolls right into Keith.

[00:24:14] What have you been playing?

[00:24:15] I mean, I've been playing call of duty as well, but I actually have been doing the campaign.

[00:24:20] And I mean, it sounds like you already know, but it's, it is awesome.

[00:24:25] It's it like we were talking about it on, on one of our recent episodes are on our most recent one, I guess.

[00:24:31] And the funny thing about it is the campaign does nothing new or exciting that no video games ever done.

[00:24:37] You're like, Oh, I could pick five games that do all of these things, but call of duty has never done so many of them that it feels refreshing and new.

[00:24:46] I think modern warfare three helps at the bar very low.

[00:24:49] You're right.

[00:24:50] But I, I, I've never had a call of duty game except for, I guess maybe like, I don't know what is the original modern warfare with, with the ghillie suit, like the famous.

[00:24:59] That's the one that ever is like, but this one is like, I don't know.

[00:25:03] There's, there's just cool mechanics.

[00:25:05] Like you can choose how you want to beat a level.

[00:25:07] You don't have to just go in a straight line and do the things.

[00:25:09] It's, it's great.

[00:25:10] I actually have been having a lot of fun with it.

[00:25:12] Um, the online is pretty cool as well, but then otherwise, yeah, just add from, I, we got to play some matches together, man.

[00:25:19] Yeah.

[00:25:20] Cause I, I think I'm like 20, I think I have like 30 or something matches in and I just solo and it, it's fun, like blasting music and just playing mindlessly, but.

[00:25:32] Well, I'll bring back, bring down your, uh, skill based matchmaking for sure.

[00:25:36] So you'll really have fun playing them.

[00:25:38] I need to pad.

[00:25:39] I need to pad that Katie.

[00:25:40] I am starting to fight.

[00:25:41] I'm starting to play against people that are like, they'll stop.

[00:25:44] I'll have like one or two dudes in the match that are stomping my ass.

[00:25:46] And I'm just like, every time I see the fucking woods with the numbers on his eyes, I'm like, fuck no, not that guy.

[00:25:53] And you see their, uh, their gun skins and you're like, Oh, he's got the French fry skin.

[00:25:59] He's good.

[00:26:00] That's how you know.

[00:26:02] So.

[00:26:03] I just refreshed.

[00:26:04] I just refreshed Twitter.

[00:26:05] And the first thing I see is the Snoop dog for a fortnight thing.

[00:26:08] He's doing the walk or whatever.

[00:26:11] It's, it's just nice to have a wave base back and there's just, I don't know.

[00:26:15] I don't think it's really doing anything crazy.

[00:26:18] I only played a handful of matches myself, but just everything I've heard about it.

[00:26:22] And from what I have played so far, it's the zombies is a lot of fun.

[00:26:25] So good to get back into that.

[00:26:26] It's not as difficult as I don't know.

[00:26:29] Trying to figure out whatever the heck the zones.

[00:26:32] Yeah.

[00:26:32] That was bad.

[00:26:33] All that crap.

[00:26:33] No, it's, it's, it's a lot more of what, what you're used to.

[00:26:38] Yeah.

[00:26:38] That's good.

[00:26:40] Classic firefight.

[00:26:41] Yeah.

[00:26:42] I mean, I'm glad they did something different, but like also thank God.

[00:26:45] Thank God.

[00:26:46] It went back to how it was.

[00:26:49] It's the old halo.

[00:26:50] Like, Oh, halo five.

[00:26:51] Yeah.

[00:26:51] That was pretty cool.

[00:26:52] I guess.

[00:26:53] But I'm glad halo infinite is how it is.

[00:26:56] Well, that's it.

[00:26:57] It's a, I mean, it's like they improved on it.

[00:26:59] Cause they, like one of the campaign missions, you do sort of one of the likes, like open worlds

[00:27:05] walk around this big open map, but it's very self-contained and it doesn't feel like the,

[00:27:11] um, it's called, I always forget the name of the stupid war zone map.

[00:27:15] It's like, you're not playing war zone, but it's got what they wanted that war zone map to be.

[00:27:19] Yeah.

[00:27:20] It's like actually fun to do.

[00:27:22] Yeah.

[00:27:23] Good times.

[00:27:23] Well, we're definitely going to look forward to that.

[00:27:26] Uh, you mentioned fucking halo.

[00:27:28] I, I w are you in the halo plasma posting in on Facebook?

[00:27:33] Yeah, probably.

[00:27:34] But I don't, I don't look at Facebook anymore.

[00:27:36] Like I've moved on with my life.

[00:27:38] Oh, that makes sense.

[00:27:39] It's a terrible place, dude.

[00:27:40] The fucking plasma posting is it's a war zone right now because it is a lot of

[00:27:45] like there is a meta of memes.

[00:27:47] Now I think that's why I haven't seen the memes for a while.

[00:27:50] Well, yeah, so they, they're, they're, they're in this Israel versus Palestine meta where they

[00:27:55] keep making master chief either a Muslim or Jewish and they're at war with each other.

[00:28:00] So all the memes are, are, are that, and it is like, it is such a fascinating thing to

[00:28:06] behold.

[00:28:06] Dude.

[00:28:07] I actually kind of like that with like, okay, you know, no hate speech online or whatever

[00:28:11] when you can, but for the mods to allow their community to just go out there with something

[00:28:17] that is, I just joined it like two weeks ago.

[00:28:19] And the first post is like, there will be, there will be no political topics.

[00:28:24] Yada, yada, yada.

[00:28:24] And that's the first pin post.

[00:28:25] And the second one is literally the Israeli flag by the same mod.

[00:28:30] It's just that.

[00:28:34] Oh my God.

[00:28:35] Stupid.

[00:28:36] Yeah.

[00:28:36] I love the internet.

[00:28:38] All right.

[00:28:38] And with that, that goes right into our, what did they buy?

[00:28:42] You still shopping around?

[00:28:44] Oh, fuck.

[00:28:45] I forgot.

[00:28:46] Hold on.

[00:28:46] It's only take me a second.

[00:28:47] So talk about something else.

[00:28:49] The steam deck is incredible.

[00:28:51] If anyone's wondering, Keith, do you have one or a gaming?

[00:28:56] I have, I have a backbone, but I don't use it a ton, but like for some cloud gaming and

[00:29:01] whatnot, but I would love a steam deck.

[00:29:02] I just feel like I'd end up doing, I'd like rebuy all of the same games and I'd have

[00:29:06] like a lot, true, bro.

[00:29:08] Tato.

[00:29:08] And I'd be like, now I can play these mobile too.

[00:29:11] They're so good.

[00:29:13] God, I've only had it for like a week at this point.

[00:29:15] And I'm like, I'm not going to be the guys that's like, Oh, steam deck.

[00:29:19] So good or whatever, because I see that a lot, but steam deck.

[00:29:22] So good.

[00:29:23] The screen incredible.

[00:29:25] I got the OLED screen or whatever.

[00:29:27] It, when I play it though, I look at the switch and I'm like, wow, the switch could be

[00:29:31] incredible if it wasn't made by Nintendo.

[00:29:35] Like it's just, it's because I really liked the switch and what it stands for as like a

[00:29:41] mobile gaming being actually good.

[00:29:44] But the amount of freedom on a steam deck to be able to load it with my own emulators,

[00:29:49] but my own games on it.

[00:29:51] Like I'm playing Octopath Traveler too.

[00:29:53] If I wanted to, I could literally just copy the game over and play my switch version of

[00:29:59] Octopath Traveler on my steam deck with the same save file and everything.

[00:30:03] Does it have like a browser?

[00:30:05] Could you do cloud gaming through?

[00:30:07] Yes.

[00:30:07] It has full cloud gaming support.

[00:30:10] That's awesome.

[00:30:11] Like, yeah, it's a little computer.

[00:30:14] Yeah.

[00:30:14] So basically you can set it up.

[00:30:17] You can even put windows on it if you really want to.

[00:30:19] If you want to break out of the steam box.

[00:30:22] I don't, I don't think it's very good.

[00:30:24] Yeah.

[00:30:25] That's all.

[00:30:25] It's a lot of extra steps because people are like, I want to play all my free epic

[00:30:29] games on my steam deck.

[00:30:30] Like, and it's like, those games aren't even that great.

[00:30:35] But okay.

[00:30:36] I figured out the game.

[00:30:37] I bought good.

[00:30:38] What was it?

[00:30:39] It is gun gun grave gore.

[00:30:43] Yeah.

[00:30:43] Look at that boy.

[00:30:44] Look at that bad boy.

[00:30:45] Isn't this is a remaster of an old game.

[00:30:49] I don't think so.

[00:30:51] I don't see anywhere.

[00:30:52] It says remaster.

[00:30:53] I'm looking at the page right now.

[00:30:54] An old gun grave.

[00:30:56] I think so.

[00:30:58] I think, I mean, I don't, I don't know, honestly.

[00:31:00] Well, so what this game looks like, it looks like the, like, it's the 360 era of like,

[00:31:06] um, what is that game?

[00:31:07] Lollipop chainsaw and shit like that.

[00:31:09] You know what I mean?

[00:31:10] Yeah.

[00:31:10] I can't, Suda51?

[00:31:12] Is that, are those the guys that make those games?

[00:31:14] Um, it looks like something like that.

[00:31:16] Which they just remade Shadows of the Damned.

[00:31:17] Did you see that?

[00:31:18] Yeah, dude, the fucking, I, dude, I want the big boner dude so bad.

[00:31:23] I fucking love that game.

[00:31:24] I'm probably going to buy it.

[00:31:25] Rachel, I'm going to play that for you.

[00:31:27] Uh, it's going to be great.

[00:31:28] This is the sequel to 2002's gun grave.

[00:31:33] Ah, yes.

[00:31:34] Okay.

[00:31:35] That would, it's also not, I don't know if that's on steam or not, but yeah, this, this

[00:31:39] game looks like a silly ass time.

[00:31:42] So I'm looking forward to that.

[00:31:44] It definitely looks like Shadows of the Damned.

[00:31:45] It looks just like that game.

[00:31:46] Yeah.

[00:31:47] It's all edgy and like, you know, 2000s.

[00:31:50] Oh yeah.

[00:31:50] Look at his shoulder pads.

[00:31:52] Yeah.

[00:31:52] He's got a shoulder pad, but then his, his coat also goes over his belly button.

[00:31:56] He looks like the guy from that hatred game, but like he's a, he was, he went into a biker

[00:32:03] phase rather than, you know, emo boy phase.

[00:32:06] Yeah.

[00:32:07] It's, it's pretty good.

[00:32:08] Um, I'm excited to try that out eventually.

[00:32:11] Looks fun.

[00:32:14] All right.

[00:32:14] Next up our patron section here gaming together.

[00:32:17] We work hard to provide excellent co-op content for you, the listener.

[00:32:19] If you have the means, please consider supporting this on Patreon link in the description.

[00:32:23] We got a new supporter.

[00:32:25] Jose.

[00:32:26] Welcome to the team, Jose and our old supporters berserker.

[00:32:30] Mr. Quang and saying cracker and Nick at night.

[00:32:33] Thanks for all your support.

[00:32:35] Uh, we are trying to get this video.

[00:32:38] We're recording right now on Patreon right after we get them recording.

[00:32:41] So hopefully there's no issues and we can do it.

[00:32:44] Um, yeah.

[00:32:46] If you're watching the video on Patreon, then it worked, but, uh, I don't know if this

[00:32:50] is going to work all the time because we have a lot of technical issues and I can't

[00:32:53] edit it.

[00:32:54] I can't edit it cause my computer's bad.

[00:32:56] Maybe if I fill up, it sends me a steam deck.

[00:32:58] I can edit on that thing.

[00:33:00] Actually, you can't.

[00:33:02] People are like running Microsoft or not Microsoft paint, uh, Photoshop and stuff on

[00:33:05] it.

[00:33:05] And it's like, that's a necessary for the steam deck, but you can do it.

[00:33:11] Thank you very much, Jose.

[00:33:12] And thank you for all, all of you guys for supporting us.

[00:33:15] Uh, go support game pass, grab bag, go listen to their stuff, go give them thumbs up, go rate

[00:33:20] their podcasts.

[00:33:20] Uh, you know, they're on YouTube.

[00:33:22] We just did an episode for inscription.

[00:33:25] I just sent a tweet out for that.

[00:33:26] I'm glad I fucking remembered.

[00:33:28] Uh, like, so we just did an episode on inscription.

[00:33:30] So if you enjoyed our episode on, uh, what was that card game?

[00:33:35] We just played bro Tato.

[00:33:37] I mean, Bellatro.

[00:33:39] God damn it.

[00:33:39] All these games are fucking sound the same.

[00:33:41] Yeah.

[00:33:41] So if you liked the Bellatro episode, I talked about inscription there.

[00:33:44] Talk about inscription a lot over there on game pass grab bag and their episodes, their

[00:33:47] episodes are a lot more focused.

[00:33:50] They, they keep, they keep the chains on me.

[00:33:52] They don't let me go too crazy.

[00:33:56] Well, you know, well, we, we, we let you go.

[00:33:59] We let you go in this one, especially cause inscription like you and me with, I guess,

[00:34:05] potato immediately when we were looking for someone for inscription, I was like, I got to get

[00:34:08] a name on the, for this one.

[00:34:09] So it was perfect.

[00:34:13] It was.

[00:34:14] All right.

[00:34:15] And with that, let's take a quick break and then we'll come back and judge some assholes.

[00:34:19] Music plays.

[00:34:20] Boom, boom, boom.

[00:34:25] Is anyone need a bathroom break?

[00:34:28] Uh, I'm good.

[00:34:29] No, I'm going to close my window and turn my AC on though.

[00:34:32] All right.

[00:34:32] Run.

[00:34:32] Let me grab a drink while you do that.

[00:34:33] Oh, that means I have to close this window too.

[00:34:36] Fuck.

[00:34:37] Everyone take a break.

[00:34:39] Jesus Christ.

[00:34:40] Probably.

[00:34:40] Do we want to do, I don't think we're going to do four, but do we want to do three?

[00:34:44] No, probably do three.

[00:34:45] Uh, do you have one that jumps out to you?

[00:34:48] No, I like to just, whenever I'm asked, pick one right away.

[00:34:52] All right.

[00:34:52] Is that you asking me right now?

[00:34:54] No, we'll let you ask when we come back.

[00:34:56] All right.

[00:34:56] Okay.

[00:34:57] Rachel has one.

[00:34:57] Oh, perfect.

[00:34:58] We'll go to her then.

[00:35:00] And we're back.

[00:35:01] Rachel, do you have an asshole?

[00:35:04] It is going to be number 102.

[00:35:07] That's so far down.

[00:35:08] Am I the asshole for asking boyfriend to play Minecraft on peaceful mode?

[00:35:14] Probably.

[00:35:15] I have this one pulled up.

[00:35:17] I love this one.

[00:35:19] This is a water Malone.

[00:35:21] Yep.

[00:35:22] Water Malone.

[00:35:24] I'm looking through their posts really quick.

[00:35:27] Oh, am I the asshole for telling my mom to not yell at customer service people?

[00:35:32] That was.

[00:35:33] And it's removed.

[00:35:34] Yeah.

[00:35:34] We can't even see it anymore.

[00:35:37] That's a shame.

[00:35:37] She tried to post it three different times though, and it kept getting auto removed by

[00:35:41] the auto mod.

[00:35:43] I wonder if it was because there was a real name in it or something as they're rolling

[00:35:46] that.

[00:35:47] It's definitely the second and third time.

[00:35:48] We're probably because she was reposting it over and over again.

[00:35:51] So this is a man, by the way.

[00:35:53] Oh, yeah.

[00:35:56] Oh my goodness.

[00:35:56] Yes.

[00:35:57] To preface this, let me explain.

[00:36:01] I, 21 Mel.

[00:36:03] Oh, that's not a good start.

[00:36:06] I, 21 Mel, have terrible arachnophobia.

[00:36:09] Anything that resembles sounds even a bit of spider terrifies me.

[00:36:17] I often mistakes bundles of thread that I use as a cat's toy for spiders and scared the shit

[00:36:27] out of myself.

[00:36:28] So it doesn't matter how unrealistic the spider is.

[00:36:32] I still piss my pants.

[00:36:35] LMAO.

[00:36:36] Okay.

[00:36:37] So anybody here in the, in our current chat, afraid of spiders to this level?

[00:36:43] No, no, no.

[00:36:45] I, I, I, spiders are the things that get me, but I mean, not to this level.

[00:36:50] I, you can play Skyrim.

[00:36:53] Literally today, literally today, 20 hours ago.

[00:36:55] I, assuming Andrew posted a clip that says, why does arachnophobia get special in treatment

[00:37:01] in gaming?

[00:37:01] I literally was looking at this like a couple hours ago.

[00:37:05] I think this is a high rate.

[00:37:07] I'm not afraid of spiders, but like bugs, like if I look at bugs too long, I like, I,

[00:37:12] I have to, I have to stop because it just like sends me into a spiral.

[00:37:18] Well, spiders are a common enemy in fantasy.

[00:37:22] It, I mean, it is.

[00:37:23] And, but what's weird is like, so grounded Andrew bring brought this up.

[00:37:27] Cause this, this topic came up recently.

[00:37:29] That's why we posted the video in grounded.

[00:37:32] You can turn on a similar mode where it's like, Hey, you know, gets rid of spiders

[00:37:36] and all of these things, but why not all of the other countless bugs and other things

[00:37:40] that are in there?

[00:37:40] Like couldn't someone could be a phobia of anyone.

[00:37:44] Warning has arachnophobia mode or something, but only arachnophobia.

[00:37:49] It's special.

[00:37:50] Yeah.

[00:37:51] And it's like spiders aren't even the worst for me.

[00:37:53] It's other bugs that bother me.

[00:37:55] Cause like the spiders eat those guys.

[00:37:58] Yeah.

[00:37:58] I'm not really too, I'm not too scared of spiders.

[00:38:00] I am horribly afraid of wasps, like terribly afraid of wasps.

[00:38:05] So I, they, it's because they're unpredictable and they fly.

[00:38:09] They move in all directions.

[00:38:12] So like, fuck man, you know, where a spider is going to be, you know, rely on the shower

[00:38:19] over there, hanging out the corner waiting to get clean with you.

[00:38:23] Just chill.

[00:38:24] I saw this one video where this chick had a, uh, like she caught a grasshopper in a cup

[00:38:29] and then just yeeted it into a spider web.

[00:38:32] And then the right of the, like, right.

[00:38:34] As soon as the video ended, the spider came out.

[00:38:35] Like, what was that?

[00:38:36] Like, it just came out.

[00:38:38] And I was like, that's the spiders are freaky when they're eating something.

[00:38:43] But.

[00:38:44] I saw one actually where someone put, I think, I think it was a wasp in a spider

[00:38:48] nest and watch the spider just absolutely ruin that wasp's day.

[00:38:52] See, and it's funny that people don't like wasp too.

[00:38:55] Like wasp are scary.

[00:38:56] Yeah.

[00:38:57] But Ross wasp like also kill other bugs.

[00:39:01] Basically any bug that kills other bugs.

[00:39:03] I'm like, yeah, you're cool.

[00:39:05] The ones that are like aggressively killing as many bugs as possible.

[00:39:10] I'm like, yeah, I can fuck with that.

[00:39:12] Just like ladybugs.

[00:39:15] I don't want them to like, I don't want any of them to touch me.

[00:39:18] It's like a disgusting.

[00:39:20] Yeah.

[00:39:21] Anyways, this person.

[00:39:23] Uh, I really like video games and I use them as a way to unwind, especially during exams.

[00:39:32] This time around, I've started playing Minecraft again, new world, etc.

[00:39:38] It's been real fun.

[00:39:40] What is the etc. therefore?

[00:39:41] I don't know.

[00:39:43] What I do is that every there's like so many commas like in just like, this person pauses

[00:39:50] a lot when they speak.

[00:39:51] Yeah.

[00:39:52] What I do is that every time I hear the spider noise or mostly read it, I have the sound on

[00:39:59] low and subtitles on.

[00:40:01] I change game mode to pacifist, making the spider despawn, move away and go back to survival.

[00:40:10] This works for me.

[00:40:12] I do enjoy scary horror games and the adrenaline that comes with them.

[00:40:18] But this is just a straight up not fun feeling.

[00:40:22] Pause.

[00:40:23] Uh, I control F to comma and there's 32.

[00:40:27] Yeah, it's a lot.

[00:40:28] There's 32 commas and only like 20 sentences.

[00:40:32] Hmm.

[00:40:32] It's not a good ratio.

[00:40:33] It's a good ratio.

[00:40:34] Yeah.

[00:40:35] Multiple commas in each sentence.

[00:40:36] Which way, Western man?

[00:40:39] I sent my boyfriend 21 mail of one plus year a pic of my Minecraft dog.

[00:40:47] Jesus Christ.

[00:40:48] I fucking hate reading this.

[00:40:50] Uh, and he was overjoyed and asked if we could play together.

[00:40:55] Now he does know about my fear of spiders IRL, having saved me from a few, but I never told

[00:41:02] him that it also happens with video games.

[00:41:06] Hmm.

[00:41:06] We were deciding when to play when I brought it up and he asked if I was serious.

[00:41:11] I thought he was poking fun at me, which I was with.

[00:41:15] I am aware that a grown dude being scared of a highly pixelated spider is a bit ridiculous.

[00:41:23] So I laughed.

[00:41:25] But he kept going, saying that I should just get used to it, that it was part of the game,

[00:41:30] that I wasn't really playing if I cheated like that.

[00:41:34] Hmm.

[00:41:35] Cheated.

[00:41:36] It's Minecraft.

[00:41:39] Hey!

[00:41:40] This is serious.

[00:41:42] Uh, I was a bit taken aback, and I just said we could try to find a mod that deleted the spiders.

[00:41:48] I still don't know if one exists.

[00:41:51] Why wasn't that like the first thing you did?

[00:41:54] Yo, why don't they just get the mod that changes all of the enemies to anime girls?

[00:41:58] Yeah.

[00:41:59] Literally, there's so many mods for Minecraft.

[00:42:01] You could make them anything.

[00:42:03] Yeah.

[00:42:03] You can turn the mobs into like characters from Left 4 Dead.

[00:42:05] You can make all of the mobs and-

[00:42:06] Yeah, I was actually going to say boomers.

[00:42:09] So, yeah.

[00:42:12] Uh, if he didn't want to switch between game modes constantly, which I can get, he said it's

[00:42:18] about the principle, and that I'm being childish.

[00:42:22] I'm on that guy's side.

[00:42:23] That it would make his time playing boring.

[00:42:25] Your phobias are childish.

[00:42:27] I said that if it was so important to him, we could play another game.

[00:42:32] But he said I was being the asshole for refusing to compromise with him.

[00:42:37] I don't think I am the asshole.

[00:42:39] This would just be awful for me.

[00:42:42] And I don't want to feel awful when hanging out with my boyfriend.

[00:42:47] So, yeah.

[00:42:47] Reddit.

[00:42:48] Am I the asshole?

[00:42:51] I think they're an asshole, but I think they need to grow up.

[00:42:54] What?

[00:42:55] Grow out of a distaste of spiders or an absolute fear?

[00:42:59] This guy's scared of, like, balls of hair from his cat or whatever that was.

[00:43:04] Have you seen a fucking spider in Minecraft?

[00:43:06] Like, what?

[00:43:07] They look funny.

[00:43:08] Does it even have eight legs?

[00:43:10] I don't know.

[00:43:11] Yes?

[00:43:13] I don't know.

[00:43:14] If you told me they had six legs, I would believe you.

[00:43:17] I'd probably check it out.

[00:43:19] I'm not going to say he's an asshole for having a phobia.

[00:43:23] Yeah, that's a spider.

[00:43:24] But I think...

[00:43:24] No, that's what I...

[00:43:24] Yeah.

[00:43:26] It's...

[00:43:27] Find a mod.

[00:43:28] It's super easy.

[00:43:30] Yeah.

[00:43:30] Go get yourself a mod.

[00:43:31] The top comment is a mod for arachnophobia.

[00:43:34] Yeah.

[00:43:35] It's so easy.

[00:43:37] Have you tried Google?

[00:43:39] Yeah, I know.

[00:43:40] This is one Google away from being solved.

[00:43:42] Dude, does that website exist still?

[00:43:44] The let me Google that for you website?

[00:43:46] It does.

[00:43:46] Or it's literally just typing the thing up.

[00:43:47] I use my work all the time.

[00:43:49] Fucking awesome.

[00:43:51] That's funny.

[00:43:53] I love...

[00:43:54] What I love even more is when we ask a question and then we could...

[00:43:57] We're staring at a computer screen.

[00:43:59] Yeah.

[00:43:59] We could Google it, but we just sit there and go, I don't know, and then just continue.

[00:44:03] I guess we'll never know.

[00:44:04] It drives the listeners crazy.

[00:44:05] It always makes me laugh whenever people call my job to ask me when a certain thing

[00:44:11] is released, and I'm like, so you Googled the phone number for this store, but you can't

[00:44:17] Google a release date for the Dungeon Master's Guide that you're looking for.

[00:44:22] Like, what do you mean?

[00:44:24] Can you call...

[00:44:25] Can you be like, hey, Alexa, call GameStop.

[00:44:28] I hope I just set someone's Alexa off.

[00:44:31] Maybe.

[00:44:31] Probably.

[00:44:32] Can you do that?

[00:44:32] Will it work?

[00:44:33] Probably.

[00:44:34] Sure.

[00:44:34] If it knows your location, it might call the nearest GameStop.

[00:44:38] Set up my Google Home and test it out.

[00:44:41] I'm not...

[00:44:42] I will get a...

[00:44:42] I will buy a gun and shoot that thing.

[00:44:44] I don't want that wire tap and as I speak into it next to another wire tap.

[00:44:48] I got enough wire taps.

[00:44:50] He's nice.

[00:44:52] Is he?

[00:44:52] Can you change their voices?

[00:44:54] He's a nice guy.

[00:44:54] Probably.

[00:44:55] I don't know.

[00:44:55] I just always had the same...

[00:44:58] Same dude.

[00:44:58] Can you make...

[00:44:59] I want...

[00:45:00] I want Snoop Dogg.

[00:45:01] Yeah.

[00:45:02] Oh, that'd be actually pretty fun.

[00:45:03] I mean, Snoop Dogg, he's in Call of Duty.

[00:45:04] He's in Fortnite.

[00:45:05] He's...

[00:45:06] You can get him on Google, probably.

[00:45:08] Probably.

[00:45:09] AI voice.

[00:45:10] But, Krista was like, updating me about that fucking Fortnite event as it was happening

[00:45:14] yesterday or whatever.

[00:45:16] She was just sending me videos of the whole, like, thing.

[00:45:19] The whole video she sent me a snap of.

[00:45:22] And, like, the worst quality.

[00:45:26] And I'm just like, you could've just sent me, like, a YouTube link to this video.

[00:45:31] There is a...

[00:45:33] Do you guys remember TomTom?

[00:45:35] Oh, the car navigation system.

[00:45:39] Yeah, the GPS.

[00:45:40] There is a Snoop Dogg voice on TomTom.

[00:45:44] And I'm listening to it right now.

[00:45:46] That's pretty good.

[00:45:46] Like, turn left.

[00:45:49] He's like, toe right.

[00:45:50] Yeah, just like that.

[00:45:52] Like, it's so fucking weird.

[00:45:54] And it's, like, midi.

[00:45:56] It's, like, all shitty and old.

[00:45:59] 14 years ago.

[00:46:00] Anyway.

[00:46:00] Does anybody want to defend the asshole boyfriend that's like, get over your spider fear?

[00:46:07] It's...

[00:46:07] I can understand why you would be annoyed by it.

[00:46:10] And I...

[00:46:10] It's like, this is the thing, too.

[00:46:11] When I play as Minecraft, I don't give a fuck about the mobs.

[00:46:16] But the mobs being there does indeed keep me from getting bored faster.

[00:46:21] Right?

[00:46:22] Yeah.

[00:46:22] So, I mean...

[00:46:23] I also just don't care if you go into creative mode.

[00:46:26] You know what I mean?

[00:46:26] So, it's like...

[00:46:27] You gotta establish...

[00:46:29] You just turn it to peaceful mode to despawn spiders.

[00:46:32] Yeah.

[00:46:32] It's not creative.

[00:46:33] It's creative and peaceful are two different modes, you know?

[00:46:36] Ah, yes.

[00:46:37] Yes, I know what you're talking about, yeah.

[00:46:39] Yeah, because peaceful is the difficulty.

[00:46:41] So, yeah.

[00:46:42] I mean, I never really cared too much.

[00:46:44] Minecraft is just such a low energy...

[00:46:46] Like, not energy, but like effort game for me.

[00:46:50] That it doesn't bother me too much if I would have to do some of this.

[00:46:53] It would bother me to have to constantly switch the difficulties back and forth, though.

[00:46:57] Right?

[00:46:58] And for such like a weird thing.

[00:46:59] Because it's like both of these things are like a one in seriousness.

[00:47:03] So, it's like the irritation to it should be like a one and then the...

[00:47:07] But the thing that you want changed is like a one also.

[00:47:10] Like...

[00:47:10] I think if either of them were just like, let's get this mod, it would have been fine.

[00:47:18] Hey man, I'm pushing for the anime girl one.

[00:47:21] I like that mod.

[00:47:22] I don't care what they use.

[00:47:24] Just...

[00:47:25] I mean, they won't make it.

[00:47:27] I mean, someone confirmed there's a straight up arachnophobia one.

[00:47:30] I think, yeah.

[00:47:31] I think you nailed it in that neither of these are important.

[00:47:35] There's one response where someone gives a good old everyone sucks here.

[00:47:40] And I mean, I think that's probably the closest to it.

[00:47:42] I think...

[00:47:44] Because if anything, if I'm the boyfriend here, at least me, I'm like, let's just play on only peaceful mode.

[00:47:51] Like, let's not have it both ways.

[00:47:54] If we're going to take it out, take out everything.

[00:47:56] And that's just how we're playing this.

[00:47:58] Then your spiders are gone.

[00:48:00] And then we just don't have to swap back and forth.

[00:48:03] Because I think it would just be the swapping that would bother me.

[00:48:05] It wouldn't be necessarily the mode itself.

[00:48:07] Like, let's play how it's going to work best.

[00:48:09] But the required switching is where I think that the poster here is a little bit whiny.

[00:48:19] Yeah, you see, there's the little anime models.

[00:48:22] That's his name's mission right now.

[00:48:25] Yeah, dude.

[00:48:26] This is how I play Minecraft.

[00:48:28] I mean, this person's run it together.

[00:48:30] It still exists.

[00:48:30] It's not bad.

[00:48:31] You could post it and, you know...

[00:48:34] Maybe they'll see it.

[00:48:35] It would actually be amazing.

[00:48:36] It would actually be amazing.

[00:48:38] We'll get an actual update.

[00:48:39] Yeah, that'd be cool.

[00:48:41] We've talked about messaging these people, but we've never got a response.

[00:48:45] Dude, I have been debating on messaging people like, hey, we used your Am I the Asshole in our app podcast just to, like, get one more download.

[00:48:53] You know what I mean?

[00:48:54] It's not worth it.

[00:48:55] I'm really trying.

[00:48:56] Really trying.

[00:48:57] It's fine.

[00:48:57] I get a bunch of people to listen to the podcast at my job, so...

[00:49:02] Oh, thanks.

[00:49:03] I'm out there advertising for you guys.

[00:49:06] That's how I get them to stop talking to me.

[00:49:08] Like, hey, you know that angry guy that screams all the time?

[00:49:10] You want to hear him scream at not you?

[00:49:12] And, like, listen to gaming together.

[00:49:16] They'll just be like dudes trying to hit on me and I'm like, hey, you should go listen to this podcast I'm on.

[00:49:21] But it's just me and my boyfriend in a podcast together.

[00:49:26] Fucking rip.

[00:49:27] Alright, next up, Keith, do you have an asshole lined up?

[00:49:30] I do.

[00:49:31] I do.

[00:49:32] Give me a number.

[00:49:33] This is...

[00:49:34] Oh, that gets me every time.

[00:49:36] 80...

[00:49:36] No, not...

[00:49:38] 80...

[00:49:39] Where is it?

[00:49:39] It's in the 80s.

[00:49:40] 87.

[00:49:41] 86?

[00:49:41] 87.

[00:49:42] Oh, you're close.

[00:49:43] Yeah, 87.

[00:49:46] Alright, this one looks good.

[00:49:49] So, looks like on the account.

[00:49:51] Oh, no.

[00:49:51] Nothing exciting.

[00:49:52] Yep.

[00:49:53] Oh!

[00:49:53] Oh, yeah!

[00:49:56] I can feel it!

[00:49:57] This is gonna be an argument.

[00:49:59] Oh, no.

[00:50:00] But from five years ago, beleaguered gamer has asked, hi y'all, or starting out, am I the asshole for not conceding games?

[00:50:07] I'm probably going to lose.

[00:50:10] Hi y'all.

[00:50:11] So, my friends and I are all early to mid 20s, six of us in total.

[00:50:15] We've gotten into real-time strategy game kick lately.

[00:50:19] We've played a lot of Age of Empires, Supreme Commander, and 8-Bin Armies.

[00:50:22] Fun games.

[00:50:23] Sometimes one-on-one, sometimes teams, but always players versus players.

[00:50:27] I'm not terrible, but I'm not great.

[00:50:28] So, I lose more games than I win.

[00:50:30] If that's alright with me, I'm just having fun.

[00:50:32] You learn the most from losses.

[00:50:34] Pause.

[00:50:34] This is a person after my own heart.

[00:50:37] A lot of commas again.

[00:50:39] There's like 15 commas in this, in the first three sentences.

[00:50:43] What's going on here?

[00:50:44] This isn't an English podcast, Dave.

[00:50:45] I'm, I'm control-hipping again.

[00:50:47] You keep reading.

[00:50:49] Alright, so, the problem comes in.

[00:50:51] Comma.

[00:50:52] Comma.

[00:50:55] Two of the players in our group are pretty intense, quote unquote, professional gamers.

[00:51:00] Very competitive.

[00:51:02] For them, they like to turn games over as fast as they can.

[00:51:06] So, when they feel like they've lost, they just concede.

[00:51:08] I just don't get this mentality personally.

[00:51:10] I like to finish the game and give it my last stand.

[00:51:13] But, to each their own.

[00:51:15] If they want to concede their matches, that's fine.

[00:51:17] When they face each other, they tend to burn through matches rapidly.

[00:51:20] The rest of us are laid back and really don't tend to concede unless it looks like it's

[00:51:24] going to be a long stalemate or a player in a position that's literally impossible

[00:51:27] to recover from.

[00:51:27] But, as far from being defeated, where was a comma in any of that though?

[00:51:31] Jesus Christ.

[00:51:32] Yeah, that was a long sentence.

[00:51:34] Generally, we play to the bloody end.

[00:51:36] However, more than once I've gotten complaints from those pro players when faced against them.

[00:51:41] Now they pretty much universally win.

[00:51:43] For me, it's a challenge of how long I can hold out and what I can learn.

[00:51:46] Sometimes it's both of them versus me and a friend as well.

[00:51:49] And they've started refusing to play us and calling us assholes and other names in the

[00:51:53] group WhatsApp because we don't concede.

[00:51:56] They say we're wasting their times.

[00:51:58] I just like to finish what I started.

[00:52:00] Win or lose.

[00:52:01] Usually, the moment it becomes clear we're about to lose is the mere minutes from actual

[00:52:04] defeat.

[00:52:05] And if I'm being candid, I know it's hopeless from the start because the skill of

[00:52:09] disparity.

[00:52:10] This person is just a born loser.

[00:52:12] So by the logic, I should immediately concede.

[00:52:15] I'm worried they'll just avoid us and end up fracturing the group up.

[00:52:18] So I feel like I should just start quitting games.

[00:52:20] But at that point, the whole idea starts to feel sour to me.

[00:52:23] So Reddit, am I the asshole?

[00:52:26] Comma report.

[00:52:27] Commas.

[00:52:29] There's like two major.

[00:52:30] One less.

[00:52:31] Oh, one less than the other guy.

[00:52:33] But this is like only three paragraphs.

[00:52:35] The other one is only three paragraphs.

[00:52:38] It's like three paragraphs broken up into six paragraphs for some reason, though.

[00:52:43] The last one was.

[00:52:44] Yeah, that could have been a lot shorter.

[00:52:47] Okay, so there's basically two arguments going on in here.

[00:52:51] One is that they want to play the maximum amount of matches.

[00:52:56] And two, why would we quit a match?

[00:52:59] Because we're here to play.

[00:53:00] And play time is play time, right?

[00:53:03] This is an intense argument amongst Commander players.

[00:53:09] These philosophies clash in Commander a lot.

[00:53:13] Which is why I immediately...

[00:53:15] Yes, me and Nave have opposite feelings about them.

[00:53:18] So it's play it out or give it up.

[00:53:22] Like, those are the two things.

[00:53:24] I am incredibly committed to playing it out.

[00:53:30] Partially because you do get to learn.

[00:53:32] Like, sometimes you can come back from a hopeless situation that does happen.

[00:53:38] Sometimes you're just like, okay...

[00:53:40] Now I know why this...

[00:53:42] Maybe you get a better understanding of what you need to win in those situations.

[00:53:48] But another reason that I am a fan of playing it out is like...

[00:53:52] Because a lot of people who like play Magic, they will make decks specifically made to get people to concede.

[00:54:00] And I will lock myself into a five hour game.

[00:54:06] I don't give a fuck.

[00:54:08] Even though I am immensely pro concede.

[00:54:12] Like, okay, it's over. I get it.

[00:54:14] But there have been times, and Rachel's witnessed this, where I will get mad at someone.

[00:54:19] And I will force them.

[00:54:21] Like, you will...

[00:54:22] I will hold you hostage now.

[00:54:24] Like, because that...

[00:54:25] If you are making the game take too long, you give the power to the other players to hold you hostage there.

[00:54:33] Because you think you're gonna win by grinding the game to a halt.

[00:54:36] So it is like a salt thing.

[00:54:38] Like a salty thing to do.

[00:54:40] Like to...

[00:54:40] And I did it.

[00:54:41] And I won the game.

[00:54:42] Like, I killed him and won the game.

[00:54:44] So it's like...

[00:54:44] It didn't feel good.

[00:54:46] It never feels good to do that.

[00:54:48] So like...

[00:54:49] It's like...

[00:54:50] Ah!

[00:54:51] But this is the thing.

[00:54:52] Rachel brought up a good point.

[00:54:53] Because you should learn how to play games when you're behind.

[00:54:56] Like when you're playing...

[00:54:57] This is specifically for chess.

[00:54:59] Or League of Legends.

[00:55:00] We talked about League of Legends earlier.

[00:55:02] In chess, you need to learn how to play when you're behind.

[00:55:06] Like, because you are going to lose half of your games.

[00:55:09] If you're good.

[00:55:10] So it's like...

[00:55:11] You need to learn how to...

[00:55:12] If you blunder your fucking bishop, you gotta learn how to play a bishop down.

[00:55:16] And so...

[00:55:17] If you're still in that learning phase...

[00:55:19] And you don't have like a total grasp of the complexity of the game that you're playing.

[00:55:25] Like Age of Empires or whatever.

[00:55:27] Then yeah, it makes sense.

[00:55:27] But if you're playing like Commander.

[00:55:30] And you understand what your opponent's decks are trying to do.

[00:55:34] Like you're familiar with each other's play patterns.

[00:55:35] It becomes...

[00:55:37] It becomes more frustrating than not to just grind the games to a halt.

[00:55:42] Because you...

[00:55:43] I don't know.

[00:55:44] If you understand how they're gonna win and you see they're at critical mass, you should just concede.

[00:55:48] I think.

[00:55:49] I don't know.

[00:55:50] Because you never know what...

[00:55:51] The heart of the cards.

[00:55:52] You know?

[00:55:53] You never know.

[00:55:54] Nave, like you just said with the blundered rook.

[00:55:57] I think that's the relevant thing.

[00:55:58] It's like, what if these guys, they're playing to learn, but they're all about getting just to the concede point.

[00:56:05] Like they don't want to play out the end game.

[00:56:08] Like to them, the game ends at, you know, halftime where it's like, obviously there's no way coming back from this.

[00:56:15] Or it's gonna be a hard struggle.

[00:56:17] They want the easy Zerg rush wins.

[00:56:20] And that's the only thing they're playing for.

[00:56:23] Yeah.

[00:56:24] So you need to learn not to blunder, not how to come back from a blunder.

[00:56:28] Because the second you blunder, they're gonna be like, well, I concede.

[00:56:31] Because that's not how they want to play.

[00:56:33] I guess.

[00:56:35] They say two of them are like really intensely competitive.

[00:56:39] And so I'm imagining, and also they, he mentions a skill disparity at some point.

[00:56:44] So it's like, I imagine it is a difference between people who are very familiar with Age of Empires and then a bunch of people who aren't.

[00:56:51] What it reminds me of is when I would play with Steven and Tommy.

[00:56:55] We would play Total War, Medieval Total War or Rome Total War.

[00:57:00] And he had a mod where you could hot seat play like a bunch of, like a bunch of people could play at once.

[00:57:04] And I would never win.

[00:57:06] I never a single time once won.

[00:57:08] And so usually they just let me fucking play with my asshole in some corner of the map.

[00:57:13] And then eventually, one of them runs me through.

[00:57:17] And that's the end of the game.

[00:57:19] I kind of understand this born to lose mentality when you're around people who are so much better.

[00:57:24] But you, it's like you either just learn to, you either learn how to play against them or I don't know.

[00:57:33] I guess you do concede.

[00:57:34] I don't get it.

[00:57:36] So I'm, I'm, I'm, I guess I'm somewhere in the middle of the game.

[00:57:38] If I'm playing with friends, I think I probably am going to concede more often than not.

[00:57:41] First of all, it doesn't sound like these friends are very close.

[00:57:44] Because I don't know if you're trying to play with friends and you have two people who have a skill gap up here against two people who have a skill gap down here.

[00:57:52] I mean, first of all, you said you kind of know how that game is going to go out.

[00:57:55] Split them up.

[00:57:55] You're all friends, right?

[00:57:56] Like split up the two really good players.

[00:57:59] So they're going against each other.

[00:58:00] Yeah.

[00:58:01] Because then everyone's learning.

[00:58:02] You have a better matchup.

[00:58:03] But it sounds like they just want to stomp up a bunch of, a bunch of people who suck at the game.

[00:58:07] Great.

[00:58:08] That's not a lot of fun.

[00:58:09] It's not really friendly to do.

[00:58:10] It's fun.

[00:58:11] So I think, so I think these friends kind of suck to begin with, but it's an RTS game and they're playing competitively.

[00:58:18] Like they probably have a build order.

[00:58:19] Now Philip has to defend his position with smash.

[00:58:22] What's playing competitively if you're trying to play with friends, you're not playing for ranks.

[00:58:26] You're not playing for anything.

[00:58:27] You're playing to have a little bit of fun.

[00:58:29] I think, I don't know, but I just, I think either split up these people.

[00:58:32] So this is a very solvable issue to begin with.

[00:58:35] But I'm also, if I'm playing online, at least I'm, I'm always to play it out till I die.

[00:58:40] I'm going to make you kill every last one of my buildings in age of empires.

[00:58:44] I'm going to be off building houses off in the distance just because I know it's going to make you.

[00:58:50] And mostly because I, I, I, I'm not good at it.

[00:58:53] I know this.

[00:58:54] So I'm, I'm in this guy's boat or this person's boat, but I'm getting rushed 90% of the time.

[00:59:00] So I'm like, you know what? Screw you.

[00:59:01] If you're just going to just going to boring rush me every time, we're not going to actually build this out.

[00:59:06] Have, have a long battle.

[00:59:08] I'm going to, I'm going to make you fight for it.

[00:59:10] I think I, cause I talked to, I think it was live from the top tenors where we brought up Madden and my proclivity to just quit around halftime in every like sports game.

[00:59:20] Because it's like when I'm like down like four touchdowns, I'm like, ah, let's play another one.

[00:59:24] And I think Philip, you were on the other side, right?

[00:59:27] You're play, keep playing.

[00:59:28] Yeah.

[00:59:28] That point I'd say played out because that was where the most intense energy is going to come.

[00:59:33] If there is a comeback, like, but the thing is though, is that there has to be some kind of control for the difficulty or the player skill gap.

[00:59:41] Like we said, there's handicaps in RTS games.

[00:59:44] You can set like we, you, Rob smash earlier.

[00:59:46] Like one of the things I always do whenever I know I'm playing against someone lesser than me is I will not pick a main.

[00:59:53] I will always try to not pick my good characters.

[00:59:56] I'll just pick any random ass character or just hit random.

[01:00:00] That way.

[01:00:01] I know I'm not just going to completely shit stop them.

[01:00:03] If I happen to get someone I'm not that great with.

[01:00:05] Yeah.

[01:00:06] And age of empires, you can give people like a headstart, like a two minute at start or something, like just let them do stuff.

[01:00:11] Or like when we thought we were talking about commander, you can play commander.

[01:00:15] You can build lower powered decks.

[01:00:17] And that's something that a lot of people have trouble with because once you learn how to make good decks, it's hard to make bad decks purposefully.

[01:00:24] Especially because when you lose with your bad deck, it usually feels bad because it's like you'll be drawing a bunch of cards that you're like, these are all trash.

[01:00:32] Yeah.

[01:00:34] Another thing you could do is play other people's decks.

[01:00:36] So which I used to do with my friend group with, with on train them, but I would still beat them.

[01:00:41] So I don't know, like they just have like some people just don't have that fundamental understanding of like some games and it is just hard.

[01:00:47] You got to beat the beat that shit into them.

[01:00:49] Age of empires and those kinds of games.

[01:00:51] You can learn how to fucking destroy those games like civilization and games like that.

[01:00:56] You can learn like mainline strategies and just play them like it's all all the literature is out there.

[01:01:01] You just got to go find it and read it.

[01:01:03] So there's a comment that I wanted to bring up and this guy says he's not the asshole or playing it out because he says I always hate the guy that scoops turn two because they think they've already lost and need to be in a position to win again.

[01:01:16] Playing magic sucks.

[01:01:19] Yes.

[01:01:19] That person.

[01:01:21] I would, I never scoop turn two.

[01:01:23] I, I'm okay.

[01:01:24] I did once scoop pretty early, but that was cause something really frustrating.

[01:01:27] Something frustrated me.

[01:01:28] It wasn't cause I was going to lose.

[01:01:30] You can conceive never.

[01:01:31] You can conceive never.

[01:01:31] But like, um, you sit down, you sit down, you don't like your hand.

[01:01:35] You're like, let's run it back.

[01:01:38] So, well, this is the thing, right?

[01:01:40] If you do that, you're probably going to get kicked out of the pod.

[01:01:43] Yeah.

[01:01:44] People aren't going to want to play with you.

[01:01:45] People want to play like in a, in a genuine manner.

[01:01:48] And so if you can see it on turn two, I can only imagine it was a aggressive, like salty move, right?

[01:01:55] It was like somebody, someone played a rune crab turn one and they were just like, I'm not dealing with this fucking mill shit.

[01:02:03] And they just got up and walked away.

[01:02:04] I was thinking like mental misstep, the soul ring, which is always the correct thing to do.

[01:02:09] They wash away.

[01:02:10] They wash away.

[01:02:11] They're like raw graph zero cost commander.

[01:02:16] But yeah, there, there's some reasons you would want to do that.

[01:02:20] But if you do that, you're going to get ire from people, especially if you're playing with random people.

[01:02:24] So usually it's the time I think is okay to concede is whenever there you, whenever you are gonna lose and someone is at a critical mass.

[01:02:34] Because usually you conceding doesn't normally affect anyone.

[01:02:38] And, and also another like a rule of thumb is that you should always concede at sorcery speed.

[01:02:44] This is, this is another magic term, but sorcery speed means on your turn.

[01:02:48] So like, don't wait, don't, don't concede as someone's attacking you because that might change things.

[01:02:54] Right?

[01:02:54] Don't, don't concede so that someone doesn't get their combat triggers.

[01:02:59] Like, that's shitty.

[01:03:02] Yeah, but what yeah, so generally the philosophy I mean, what I mean to say is that you shouldn't do it as a, a retaliatory thing.

[01:03:09] Right?

[01:03:09] You should do it.

[01:03:11] You should, everyone should do it at once so that you can move on to the next game.

[01:03:15] Right?

[01:03:16] It should be like a group.

[01:03:18] With honor.

[01:03:20] Like everyone's like, Oh, let's just, let's just get another game in.

[01:03:23] Especially if you're playing at local game stores, cause they have a time that they got to close.

[01:03:26] You can only get so many games in.

[01:03:28] Right?

[01:03:28] So it's like, like, you know, turn eight or nine and this guy looks like he's going to win.

[01:03:33] Everyone's like day looking around the table.

[01:03:34] Like, Hey, can we deal with this?

[01:03:35] No.

[01:03:36] Uh, well, do you want to just go to the next game?

[01:03:39] See, they wouldn't do that.

[01:03:40] They'd be like, you know what?

[01:03:41] Can we deal with this?

[01:03:42] How about we board wipe three times so that we'll be here for 30 fucking minutes past the store closing?

[01:03:47] Yeah.

[01:03:47] And then I concede cause I'm fucking, I hate that shit.

[01:03:51] God.

[01:03:53] Okay.

[01:03:54] Okay.

[01:03:54] You guys win.

[01:03:55] I'm just standing there.

[01:03:56] Like, can you guys leave now?

[01:03:58] Please.

[01:04:01] Yeah.

[01:04:01] It's AIDS.

[01:04:02] See now, have you guys ever played Smite?

[01:04:05] Yeah.

[01:04:06] Cause that's a game.

[01:04:08] It is a game.

[01:04:09] It can't be conceded.

[01:04:10] It can't be conceded quick enough.

[01:04:11] He's right.

[01:04:12] The amount of, the amount of matches in Smite that go on for 45 minutes.

[01:04:17] And you never surrender in Smite.

[01:04:19] It's league.

[01:04:20] Yeah.

[01:04:20] And you know, you know from 10 minutes in how that game is going to go.

[01:04:25] And it goes that way for every additional 45 minutes that you play it.

[01:04:29] And no one will surrender.

[01:04:31] Jesus Christ.

[01:04:33] Just let me go.

[01:04:34] Just let me go.

[01:04:35] Right?

[01:04:35] I can't quit.

[01:04:36] I'm just going to get a penalty.

[01:04:37] I can't do that.

[01:04:38] I'm stuck here.

[01:04:39] I have to do this now.

[01:04:41] Yeah.

[01:04:41] League of Legends is, is, is just like that.

[01:04:43] It's the same.

[01:04:44] You can't, the surrender should be fast.

[01:04:47] Like you should be able to surrender fast.

[01:04:49] Like it makes sense.

[01:04:50] They need some AI.

[01:04:50] You can't surrender for like the first 15 minutes or something like that.

[01:04:52] Right?

[01:04:53] Philip?

[01:04:53] You can surrender at like 10 minutes now if, or even sooner if someone on your team is AFK at the beginning.

[01:05:00] Like if they, there's an AFK check.

[01:05:02] You can sort of like go for a reroll.

[01:05:06] Uh, I think there's early surrender of 15.

[01:05:09] If you can get the full team.

[01:05:10] But after that, you need four.

[01:05:12] After like 20 minutes, you need four out of five.

[01:05:16] But you can surrender 15 if you have a full five voting surrender.

[01:05:21] Yeah.

[01:05:21] I feel like by 15 minutes, that's, that's, that's, you know, just a, that might just be a problem with those games in general that by 15 minutes, you know how that game's going.

[01:05:29] But yeah, it's just like, can we just, just end this misery?

[01:05:35] All right.

[01:05:35] All right.

[01:05:36] I think that one's pretty resolved.

[01:05:38] Navy got one more asshole for us to judge.

[01:05:41] Me?

[01:05:41] Uh, let's go to 50.

[01:05:49] Ooh, this has got edits and updates, edits and updates.

[01:05:53] But what are the commas like?

[01:05:55] That's what the listener wants to know.

[01:05:57] Which number?

[01:05:59] Uh, 50.

[01:06:00] Is that what I said?

[01:06:04] Warhammer?

[01:06:06] Yeah.

[01:06:07] We're looking at 18 commas.

[01:06:11] Good start.

[01:06:11] Good start.

[01:06:12] That's nothing.

[01:06:13] Yeah.

[01:06:13] Nothing.

[01:06:14] No pausing here.

[01:06:15] I don't think this person knows how to talk if they need more commas.

[01:06:19] Oh, they're on mobile.

[01:06:21] Everyone forgive them.

[01:06:22] Typing is not allowed on mobile.

[01:06:24] You can't.

[01:06:25] You can't format correctly on mobile.

[01:06:27] You can't use grammar.

[01:06:28] This person's commented on a handful of things.

[01:06:32] Also, they have comments on their own thing.

[01:06:33] But this is, uh, Earth Alit.

[01:06:37] Which is actually kind of a cool name.

[01:06:39] Earth Alit.

[01:06:42] Let me see here.

[01:06:43] Okay.

[01:06:45] Would I be the asshole?

[01:06:47] Is that what that is?

[01:06:48] Would I be the asshole?

[01:06:49] It is a future what if.

[01:06:49] A hypothetical.

[01:06:51] If I didn't tell my boyfriend about the money my dad left me in his inheritance.

[01:06:58] Whew.

[01:06:59] Alright.

[01:06:59] Hi.

[01:07:00] First time poster.

[01:07:01] And on mobile.

[01:07:01] So, please excuse formatting.

[01:07:03] My father passed away in March.

[01:07:05] And it's been, it has been difficult for me to process since due to him being absent for a majority of my life and not knowing how to feel about the stranger known as my dad.

[01:07:16] Period.

[01:07:18] Okay, that was a sentence.

[01:07:20] Yesterday.

[01:07:22] Yesterday, my stepmother invited all of us children into a group chat and told us dad left $600 for each of us in his life insurance policy.

[01:07:33] I told her, I told her, this money was a blessing.

[01:07:38] And it would either help with my medical procedures or to get new clothes or something else I can never afford to do myself.

[01:07:46] Now, hold on.

[01:07:47] I see.

[01:07:47] Hold on a second right there.

[01:07:50] So, sick, look, what do you guys have life insurance?

[01:07:54] I don't know.

[01:07:56] Probably.

[01:07:56] Maybe there's a lot of kids.

[01:07:58] Probably.

[01:07:58] Okay, yeah.

[01:07:59] Because like, my life insurance in the military is like $4,500.

[01:08:04] Or $400.

[01:08:05] $450,000, I mean.

[01:08:08] Okay.

[01:08:08] That's almost half a million that I die.

[01:08:12] And I don't know how many kids I have to have to make it $600.

[01:08:15] Like, I don't know what this guy's life insurance was that is raised so low.

[01:08:19] It's just how much it went to like each kid.

[01:08:22] Maybe the rest went to like his wife.

[01:08:25] I would talk to the stepmother at that point and be like, I need to see the will.

[01:08:29] I need to see the policy.

[01:08:30] Yeah.

[01:08:30] Because like, this seems like she's getting gypped.

[01:08:34] Yeah, it kind of does.

[01:08:36] Well, are these like, are the kids living at home?

[01:08:39] Like, because if this is the life insurance policy, which isn't like necessarily the same as like.

[01:08:48] Inheritance.

[01:08:49] Going crazy.

[01:08:49] Yeah.

[01:08:50] I mean, it's five years ago.

[01:08:53] So.

[01:08:54] Oh yeah, inflation.

[01:08:56] All right.

[01:08:58] Whatever, just keep reading.

[01:08:59] So it would be like $800 today.

[01:09:02] I feel, Ellipse's, guilty for not wanting to tell my boyfriend about this.

[01:09:08] However, it seems like every single time I end up with money, he ends up spending it all on Warhammer 40k models for him.

[01:09:16] Something for his son.

[01:09:17] And then the rest goes towards the bills.

[01:09:20] Usually, when I confront or attempt to talk to him about this, he states that it isn't a big deal.

[01:09:26] Or I get told that he's sorry that my family is an inconvenience to me.

[01:09:33] End quote.

[01:09:34] When I attempt to assert that the money was specifically for something I want, or that this is specifically for me, it becomes an argument.

[01:09:43] Then he systematically runs through my side of it with logic and reasoning that doesn't care about your feelings.

[01:09:50] And I end up feeling horrible for even bringing it up.

[01:09:52] I hate conflict, you know?

[01:09:55] I'm 26.

[01:09:56] I know that this sum of money should probably go to bills.

[01:09:59] I came from a household that had nothing in it growing up.

[01:10:02] So I completely forego things I want or need for the good of the household and others.

[01:10:08] And I know I should probably use it for utilities.

[01:10:12] With this, though, ellipses, I sort of feel like this is something meant for just me.

[01:10:18] Like I should get to choose, ultimately, to what it goes to.

[01:10:22] I don't know what to do.

[01:10:24] So I guess that's why I'm here.

[01:10:27] Objective third-party opinions.

[01:10:29] Uh-oh.

[01:10:30] Would I be the asshole if I didn't tell my boyfriend about the money?

[01:10:34] Should I only tell him about part of it?

[01:10:36] And there's an edit and an update.

[01:10:39] So...

[01:10:39] Okay, so first off, this guy mixes his ands and the ampersand symbol?

[01:10:46] Dude, so many ampersands!

[01:10:47] There was two ampersands separated by one word or something.

[01:10:53] And it almost...

[01:10:54] He used 15 ampersands in this and four ands.

[01:11:00] A lot of symbols.

[01:11:02] There's a lot of symbolism in this fucking am I the asshole section.

[01:11:05] Alright.

[01:11:06] Yeah, so many ampersands.

[01:11:08] Feelings?

[01:11:09] This seems a little crazy.

[01:11:12] I think over 600 bucks.

[01:11:14] I mean 600 bucks is a good chunk of money.

[01:11:17] But like...

[01:11:19] If you're struggling to pay bills, you should probably be an adult and pay bills, yeah?

[01:11:25] You should start...

[01:11:26] What about the medical procedures that they needed or whatever?

[01:11:31] They should always sell the Warhammer figures to pay for the medical bills.

[01:11:35] They were like, it could help with my medical procedures or new clothes.

[01:11:40] But like, what are the medical procedures?

[01:11:45] You should probably take care of that, you know?

[01:11:47] Or bills, yeah.

[01:11:50] Is a pedicure a medical procedure?

[01:11:52] What medical procedures getting paid for $600?

[01:11:56] Is what I...

[01:11:57] Where does this person live?

[01:11:59] Not America.

[01:12:01] Uh, oh, but apparently they have a psych degree too.

[01:12:05] $600 gets you in the door, that's about it.

[01:12:10] They'll check your heart rate.

[01:12:12] Yeah.

[01:12:13] They'll do the thing, they'll check your pulse, they'll put their fingers to your neck.

[01:12:16] Make sure you're alive.

[01:12:17] Not even the machine, we can't afford the machine.

[01:12:21] They don't even tell you the answer.

[01:12:23] They just walk off and you get a bill in the mail.

[01:12:26] Alright, the first edit says, this is probably much needed information.

[01:12:30] Uh oh.

[01:12:30] My boyfriend decided to work full time so that I could quit both of my jobs and finish my degree.

[01:12:35] Since he's paying all utilities and I use my savings to buy groceries, I feel an obligation to him, to tell him about this money.

[01:12:43] I do clean the entirety of the house and watch both of his sons, even when he's here.

[01:12:49] And uh, even when he's here to try and make up for that.

[01:12:54] You want me to read the update too?

[01:12:56] Uh, not yet.

[01:12:57] So just with that edit, it shows that they do have separate finances, but they, and they use them for different things.

[01:13:04] So at that point, like I think she should keep it to herself.

[01:13:09] Like.

[01:13:10] Oh, they flipped it.

[01:13:11] Flipped it for you.

[01:13:12] Yeah, like that was it.

[01:13:13] Like since they have separate finances, be like, hey, separate, unequal, or whatever the saying is.

[01:13:18] Like, sorry bud.

[01:13:19] I think she should probably let him know.

[01:13:22] But yeah, use it for your, use it for whatever you want, but let him know.

[01:13:25] Oh, better yet.

[01:13:26] Use it for them.

[01:13:29] Preemptively.

[01:13:30] So that he doesn't even get a crack at it.

[01:13:31] Be like, hey, I buy the groceries.

[01:13:33] Look, I got this money.

[01:13:35] I went out and I bought us sirloins or something.

[01:13:38] Actually, that was literally.

[01:13:41] That was my move back in.

[01:13:43] Whenever I lived with my dad, he would always take my money and buy like Oxycontin or something with it.

[01:13:48] So I'm like, I just got to spend it as soon as I get it.

[01:13:51] So as soon as I cash my check, I go straight to GameStop and buy like a bunch of fucking games.

[01:13:55] It's probably why I'm the way I am now.

[01:13:58] But honestly, but it's safer in game than it is in cash.

[01:14:02] If I've spent my money, then he can't take my money.

[01:14:05] So like that was the thing.

[01:14:06] Like video games are useless to him.

[01:14:09] You can't drink video games.

[01:14:12] All right.

[01:14:12] You can read the update now.

[01:14:14] If you all right, told him about it.

[01:14:16] Not the amount or anything, but I said I'd pay the bills for this month.

[01:14:19] He agreed and said I should spend the rest on something I want.

[01:14:23] I'm going to put it in a CD account for emergency.

[01:14:26] I need to piece the fuck out funds.

[01:14:29] All right.

[01:14:30] Whoa.

[01:14:30] So she's making a go bag like she's about to get out.

[01:14:33] Divorce fund.

[01:14:34] Yeah.

[01:14:35] I mean, I think that sounds like the right course of action, but I think just do that with all 600 of those dollars and just just maybe find yourself a new place.

[01:14:45] She's like, I got the bills this month.

[01:14:48] $600 pays all your bills.

[01:14:51] Where the fuck do these people live?

[01:14:53] Five years ago.

[01:14:55] And that actually, I mean, I, but like jokes aside, I will say like grocery groceries, honestly, though.

[01:15:02] Well, she said that he's paying all utilities.

[01:15:05] Do you think maybe that they don't have like rent?

[01:15:08] Maybe that they own a house or something?

[01:15:12] Maybe.

[01:15:13] Because like that's the only bills that they actually mentioned was utilities and groceries.

[01:15:18] They're just squatting something.

[01:15:19] I mean, but they would have to pay a mortgage, I bet.

[01:15:21] Unless they literally own the house.

[01:15:23] Like they could have.

[01:15:23] Yeah.

[01:15:24] I mean, if they own it, you know, for some reason.

[01:15:27] They could be in some government housing, too, or something like that.

[01:15:29] Some kind of controlled rent location.

[01:15:31] I don't, I don't think that that's the case.

[01:15:33] Because first of all, the fucking life insurance only gave her 600 bucks.

[01:15:36] So I don't think this is a well-off family.

[01:15:38] And also they said that the house that she grew up in had nothing in it.

[01:15:42] So I don't know if they still have it.

[01:15:44] Well, it could be his house.

[01:15:46] You know.

[01:15:46] She's about to finish her degree though.

[01:15:48] And psych, that's what I'm saying.

[01:15:49] Like she should put that in a, you know, a hold and count for a go back type deal.

[01:15:54] Keep milking this guy to finish her degree and pay for the utilities, I guess.

[01:15:59] And then the second she graduates, she's out.

[01:16:03] Yeah.

[01:16:04] I, that sounds familiar to me.

[01:16:07] Does it?

[01:16:08] Yeah.

[01:16:10] But that could be a move.

[01:16:11] That's what happened to me.

[01:16:12] Wait, you never told me that.

[01:16:15] Probably.

[01:16:16] You're right.

[01:16:16] I probably didn't tell you that.

[01:16:17] Oh wait.

[01:16:18] In the cut in her comments, $600 amongst five kids.

[01:16:23] Well, they got five kids.

[01:16:26] Holy shit.

[01:16:27] Oh no.

[01:16:27] Five.

[01:16:28] She's one of five kids.

[01:16:29] She has like four siblings.

[01:16:30] Yeah.

[01:16:31] Each of the five kids got $600.

[01:16:34] Oh, and after cremation and funeral services.

[01:16:36] So they took a chunk.

[01:16:38] I guess that's kind of reasonable then.

[01:16:43] What is this?

[01:16:44] I'm sorry, but it sounds like you're in major denial.

[01:16:46] And it sounds like he has a babysitter who pays him.

[01:16:48] I don't know what this comment is in response to it.

[01:16:51] Something else.

[01:16:51] You're saying that he's treating her like a live in nanny slave thing or something.

[01:16:57] Well, I mean like, you know, if he, I mean, he pays all the bills.

[01:17:02] Like, what are you going to do?

[01:17:04] Like she can't do nothing.

[01:17:05] If she does nothing, that's like just a fucking, it's the guy on the couch from Half Baked.

[01:17:13] All right.

[01:17:13] Yeah.

[01:17:14] Anybody, uh, got any weird stances?

[01:17:17] It goes, it seemed to be like, keep the money, sis.

[01:17:19] Anybody thinks you go the other way?

[01:17:21] Buy Warhammer figures?

[01:17:24] Keep it off.

[01:17:25] She should probably invest it into like crypto or something.

[01:17:28] Five years ago.

[01:17:29] Again, five years ago.

[01:17:31] I'm just saying she could be doing great things now.

[01:17:36] She could.

[01:17:37] Yeah.

[01:17:37] She could buy Warhammer models for herself.

[01:17:40] So many.

[01:17:40] And then she could be into the, get into the hobby.

[01:17:42] All, she could buy like three whole figures for $600.

[01:17:46] I can't, I keep getting harassed to like get into miniatures and I'm like, I need people

[01:17:50] to stop telling me to get into miniatures cause I just want to paint them so bad.

[01:17:55] I don't even want to play.

[01:17:56] I just want to paint the little things.

[01:17:58] It's all I want to do.

[01:17:59] And it's so expensive.

[01:18:00] I could paint anything else and it would cost a fraction of the price.

[01:18:06] Well, maybe you need to start offering Etsy services or whatever.

[01:18:10] Be like, what do you want?

[01:18:11] You want blue and red?

[01:18:12] I gotcha.

[01:18:12] Spider-Man goblins.

[01:18:14] Here we go.

[01:18:16] Spider-Man goblins.

[01:18:20] Well, you don't want to just be green goblins.

[01:18:22] Yeah.

[01:18:23] All right.

[01:18:23] Let's take a quick break.

[01:18:25] I want them to literally be the green goblin.

[01:18:27] A bunch of them.

[01:18:29] Just the only green goblins.

[01:18:30] Yeah.

[01:18:31] You're like, but you're running space marines.

[01:18:32] We're the green goblins.

[01:18:34] And then I go up to Warhammer night up there at the, at the, at the game shop and people

[01:18:38] are like get matched up against me.

[01:18:40] They're like, fuck.

[01:18:40] It's the green goblin guy.

[01:18:42] A bunch of guys that are disgraced in my game.

[01:18:45] He doesn't take this seriously at all.

[01:18:46] You just show up with your, in a green goblin costume from Spider-Man extra tight.

[01:18:50] Yeah.

[01:18:51] I think blood bowl has goblins and that's what's popular here.

[01:18:55] So just do the blood bowl goblins.

[01:18:57] You'll be fine.

[01:18:58] There's so many people playing blood bowl.

[01:18:59] It's so popular.

[01:19:01] Holy shit.

[01:19:01] Our friend Bryce talks about it.

[01:19:03] Like he'll, he'll, he'll like text me and he'll be like, dude, I killed somebody's

[01:19:06] or half orc barbarian linebacker today.

[01:19:09] And I felt so bad.

[01:19:10] And I was just like, no, they don't feel bad.

[01:19:14] They, they get, they are so into it, man.

[01:19:17] They're so aggressive with each other.

[01:19:18] No, Bruce.

[01:19:20] I raised you from a pub.

[01:19:22] The other, like the other day I walked up to one of my coworkers cause we were having

[01:19:25] a charity event.

[01:19:26] And so like they were playing blood bowl, but they were allowed to like pay to cheat.

[01:19:32] Uh, and so I just like walk over to his table and there's just like 15 dudes laying

[01:19:37] on their sides and I'm like, are you, are you winning?

[01:19:41] And he's like, Nope, actually I'm losing.

[01:19:46] Actually, I've lost everything.

[01:19:49] It was, that's great.

[01:19:50] Yeah.

[01:19:51] Just play blood bowl.

[01:19:52] Maybe I'll paint them.

[01:19:53] And then someone else can play them.

[01:19:56] That's all I want.

[01:19:58] That could be fun.

[01:19:59] Well, let's take a quick break.

[01:20:00] Is Phillip frozen?

[01:20:02] No, I'm not frozen.

[01:20:03] Can you not hear me?

[01:20:05] Am I frozen?

[01:20:07] No, I hear you.

[01:20:08] No, I think it's Phillip.

[01:20:10] His mouth is just like slightly open so you can just barely see his teeth.

[01:20:15] Oh, I see him differently.

[01:20:16] I see, uh, he's just smirking.

[01:20:19] He's just happy.

[01:20:20] Oh my God.

[01:20:20] All right.

[01:20:21] Well, I guess we're going to have to, well, this is the time when we're doing a break

[01:20:23] anyways.

[01:20:24] So I'm going to stop the thing and the music is playing.

[01:20:30] Throw a car into space but can't fix Zencaster, you piece of ass.

[01:20:34] Does he own Zencaster?

[01:20:36] Or?

[01:20:36] No, I don't think so.

[01:20:37] No, I just have the Starlink.

[01:20:43] Right in my brain.

[01:20:46] The microchip.

[01:20:47] You are the mesh network.

[01:20:49] Yeah.

[01:20:50] He's basically a Warhammer guy.

[01:20:53] He's a 40k guy.

[01:20:55] All right.

[01:20:56] Uh, I think we're back from the break.

[01:20:57] Yeah, we're back.

[01:20:59] Rotato.

[01:21:00] Rotato is a top down arena shooter roguelite where you play a potato wielding up to six weapons

[01:21:06] at a time to fight off hordes of aliens.

[01:21:08] Choose from a variety of traits and items to create unique builds and survive until

[01:21:13] help arrives.

[01:21:14] Very positive.

[01:21:15] Overwhelmingly positive.

[01:21:17] Reviews.

[01:21:18] Released June 23rd, 2023.

[01:21:21] Developed by Blobfish.

[01:21:24] Okay.

[01:21:24] The Metascore is also incredibly positive with a 76 on reviews for critic reviews and 80

[01:21:32] Only four.

[01:21:33] That's weird.

[01:21:35] An 8.1 user score.

[01:21:38] Is it weird?

[01:21:39] Is that weird that BroTato didn't get reviewed by 100 people, 100 places?

[01:21:45] It's weird that they only selected like I still don't understand the Metascore thing because

[01:21:48] who gets to decide who's a critic?

[01:21:51] You know, it's like, you know, just the other day on terminals IO or whatever where we asked

[01:21:56] for review keys.

[01:21:57] I put in another request for media status for gaming together and they had rejected us for like the last two years saying we are not media status.

[01:22:06] But this last time last year, I put it in.

[01:22:08] They're like, yeah, you guys are good.

[01:22:10] We're officially gaming journal journalists to them.

[01:22:13] I don't know.

[01:22:14] Is that why I've gotten so dumb lately?

[01:22:17] My gaming, my gaming prowess is worse.

[01:22:19] I'm just all of a sudden I'm bad and feeding.

[01:22:23] This game's too hard.

[01:22:25] I wonder if it's just the time put in.

[01:22:27] We've been doing it for like three years now.

[01:22:29] I don't know.

[01:22:30] Maybe they saw that.

[01:22:30] I just keep coming back once a year to reapply.

[01:22:34] The the the Metacritic, the way it works is that there are you have to be like, you know, a journalist, but also like a publication, but they weigh them differently.

[01:22:43] So like IGN gets more effect affects the score more than us if we did it.

[01:22:50] I don't know how we would get it on Metacritic, but and then you have open critic, which is their whole shtick is that they don't weigh anything.

[01:22:58] Like it's just literally the average, like the aggregate.

[01:23:01] Interesting.

[01:23:03] All right.

[01:23:04] So I was played.

[01:23:06] I have two days and 19 hours on here.

[01:23:11] Maybe not any Rachel Smith three.

[01:23:15] Nave apparently has 17.5 and Keith, how many hours or how many days is 271?

[01:23:22] It's over 10.

[01:23:23] I can't.

[01:23:24] That's a lot.

[01:23:25] It's got to be some pause time.

[01:23:27] I'm going to say there's some pause time there, but that's still multiple.

[01:23:30] Multiple.

[01:23:31] Yeah, I probably still easily have double your time.

[01:23:34] More than 67.

[01:23:35] Well, I'm saying even with a lot of pause time, if we if we factor that in, I well over double you.

[01:23:40] I'm sure.

[01:23:41] Well, Philip, did you get all the achievements in this?

[01:23:43] I did before they released the DLC and before they added the update achievements because they they added more achievements later on, which I started earning too.

[01:23:52] And I was like, I'll get them all.

[01:23:53] Then I realized there was some type of DLC and I'm like, I'm not spending $2 on the DLC.

[01:24:00] Yeah, the DLC is pretty cool.

[01:24:02] It looks cool.

[01:24:03] I think he you you played out each run, didn't you?

[01:24:07] That was the difference.

[01:24:09] Yeah.

[01:24:09] Well, I mean, I so I've beaten it with every single character of the base game.

[01:24:14] And at least a handful of all the new DLC characters.

[01:24:20] So, yeah, I played the DLC as well.

[01:24:21] So we can talk about that.

[01:24:23] That'll be nice.

[01:24:24] Yeah.

[01:24:26] Any history or preconceptions with this game coming into?

[01:24:29] We were like, oh, man, like I've been following this game in development since day one.

[01:24:33] And I know all the pro strats already.

[01:24:36] Anyway, I just saw it was like a vampire survivors.

[01:24:40] I was like, hmm, that's probably for me.

[01:24:43] Same.

[01:24:44] That's also what I did.

[01:24:46] That is also what I did when I released on game as I was like, oh, look, that's kind of cool.

[01:24:51] And then because it's only like one kilobyte.

[01:24:55] It's so small.

[01:24:57] I started installing it and Call of Duty Black Ops six at the same time.

[01:25:01] It is like you're going to need 80 gigs free.

[01:25:03] And I'm like, oh, no.

[01:25:06] Did you did you see the Black Ops six donkey video?

[01:25:10] Yeah.

[01:25:11] That's literally his video is that he just installed Animal Well over and over again while Black Ops was installing.

[01:25:18] Animal Well is like five megabytes images installs instantly.

[01:25:22] It's already done.

[01:25:23] It's literally a fucking ad for Animal Well.

[01:25:26] It's not even a video.

[01:25:28] Fucking bastard.

[01:25:29] Dude, which you saw.

[01:25:31] But did you see the fucking they had when Animal Well got released on Xbox?

[01:25:35] It was there was an ad in that like Xbox partner show or whatever.

[01:25:40] The the fucking elder Charles hated it.

[01:25:42] They were calling Dunk you a fucking moron and shit.

[01:25:44] I don't think he is.

[01:25:45] He is a moron.

[01:25:46] That's what I'm saying.

[01:25:47] It's like he's like this.

[01:25:48] The person talking over the thing makes me not want to buy the game.

[01:25:52] And I'm like, he's making fun.

[01:25:54] He's making fun of like ads literally his shtick.

[01:25:58] Yeah, but it's okay.

[01:26:00] We we forgive you elder trolls.

[01:26:03] How can they not know donkey?

[01:26:04] He's a very pervasive.

[01:26:07] I bet one of them has to know donkey.

[01:26:09] They just didn't realize that's who it was.

[01:26:11] Maybe.

[01:26:13] And viewers, if you're unaware, donkey is a Internet YouTuber much bigger than us.

[01:26:19] He makes stupid videos where he usually acts stupid.

[01:26:23] That's it.

[01:26:25] I like the people asking for big Yoshi dude is the stupid pizza.

[01:26:32] Like, oh, this is pizza.

[01:26:34] He's like pizza hut.

[01:26:35] More like pizza.

[01:26:36] But I just start laughing.

[01:26:38] That gets me every time.

[01:26:39] He's like, pizza hut.

[01:26:40] I might take your order.

[01:26:41] He's like, I'm not hungry.

[01:26:44] I don't even like pizza.

[01:26:49] Poor pizza.

[01:26:49] One of them was like, you want the spaghetti and meatballs.

[01:26:52] He's like, oh, oh, because I knew who he was.

[01:26:58] Anyway, I knew him.

[01:26:59] All right.

[01:26:59] But we got some steam reviews or you grab some.

[01:27:01] This first one from Amy Big Hands.

[01:27:05] She says, I bought this game 6.1 hours ago and I played 6.1 hours played.

[01:27:12] Not true anymore.

[01:27:14] No, not true because they kept playing another 10 hours at least.

[01:27:19] Yeah, that's a really interesting review.

[01:27:22] Thank you, Amy Big Hands.

[01:27:23] Rachel, you want to read the next one?

[01:27:26] So they recommended it.

[01:27:30] And they said, after three hours, I realized that I can combine similar weapons.

[01:27:35] See, I wouldn't have known that.

[01:27:37] But he told me so.

[01:27:41] I did let her know.

[01:27:42] I don't know if they ever explained that to you.

[01:27:44] They don't explain a lot.

[01:27:45] But it's.

[01:27:47] You don't need to.

[01:27:48] You do, but you don't.

[01:27:50] Yeah, because I just like.

[01:27:51] Yeah, because I just like.

[01:27:52] It will auto do it for you too.

[01:27:53] If you buy.

[01:27:54] If you're.

[01:27:54] If you're.

[01:27:55] Only if your weapons are full.

[01:27:56] And then you buy the same tier.

[01:27:58] But yeah.

[01:27:59] I don't know.

[01:28:00] I think I just saw it and I was like, oh, the weapons change color.

[01:28:03] I like.

[01:28:04] Intuited.

[01:28:05] Like, intuited.

[01:28:06] Intuited.

[01:28:07] Intuited.

[01:28:08] Intuited.

[01:28:08] I don't know.

[01:28:09] Intuited it.

[01:28:11] Um.

[01:28:11] So the next one here.

[01:28:13] From.

[01:28:14] Master Blaster.

[01:28:16] Recommends and says best potato.

[01:28:18] Best potato based roguelike arena shooter I've ever played in a while.

[01:28:24] Yeah.

[01:28:26] I would even say it was like the top 10.

[01:28:29] It's one of the top 10 best potato based roguelike arena shooters.

[01:28:34] I can't think of another.

[01:28:37] Yeah.

[01:28:38] Yeah.

[01:28:40] And it's like, I gotta explain to my kids, my wife about like, or what's the potato part?

[01:28:44] I'm like, well, I think your potato and the aliens are infecting you or something.

[01:28:49] Maybe potato famine.

[01:28:50] I don't know.

[01:28:52] Yeah.

[01:28:52] You don't look like a potato.

[01:28:54] I was going to try and come up with the whole lore for this.

[01:28:56] I.

[01:28:56] I just couldn't.

[01:28:58] But yeah, I think it's I think that's it.

[01:29:00] I think you just potato.

[01:29:02] Fighting aliens for doing that.

[01:29:06] Yeah.

[01:29:06] Uh, Keith, you want to read the next one here by Rex are.

[01:29:09] Rex are also recommended Brutato with 38 and a half hours.

[01:29:13] It's pretty impressive.

[01:29:14] 35.1 at the time of review.

[01:29:16] And they said Skyrim Elden Ring.

[01:29:18] Jesse, I'm a man of culture.

[01:29:20] I need deep storytelling.

[01:29:21] And then a.

[01:29:22] I don't know what the term for that type of art.

[01:29:25] Asci art.

[01:29:25] Uh, asci art.

[01:29:27] Uh, with.

[01:29:27] Was that?

[01:29:28] Uh, Walter White.

[01:29:29] Yeah.

[01:29:30] Walter White.

[01:29:31] So yeah.

[01:29:35] That's it.

[01:29:35] Phillip.

[01:29:36] Oh, one more.

[01:29:37] Uh, from Magnifier.

[01:29:40] Uh, before playing this game, I kept my potatoes behind the fridge.

[01:29:44] But after playing this game, I put my potatoes on my bed and then I sleep in the fridge.

[01:29:48] I sleep behind the fridge.

[01:29:50] Okay.

[01:29:50] With one hour on record.

[01:29:53] Yeah.

[01:29:53] I don't like this guy playing this game.

[01:29:54] I played for one hour and wrote this for you.

[01:29:55] I'm from the potatoes.

[01:29:59] Yeah, I don't know.

[01:30:00] I don't know who keeps anything behind the fridge.

[01:30:02] Like, why would you have anything behind your fridge?

[01:30:04] Have you ever like forgot about a bag of potatoes?

[01:30:08] Yes.

[01:30:08] And then had them rot?

[01:30:10] Um, they, the smell is one of the worst fucking smells in the world.

[01:30:14] So the thought of having potatoes behind my refrigerator is just not good.

[01:30:20] Yeah.

[01:30:20] I just remember living in a house with roommates and we had like a pantry and I guess someone

[01:30:25] accidentally like kicked the bag of potatoes on the, it was like on the floor and they

[01:30:29] kicked it in the far back, like under a shelf.

[01:30:32] And for days we were like, what is this smell?

[01:30:35] Just like going crazy trying to figure it out.

[01:30:39] And it was just fucking rotten potatoes.

[01:30:41] So.

[01:30:41] Yeah.

[01:30:41] I, I didn't mind my, the potatoes in my apartment weren't crazy smelly, but it was

[01:30:49] like the bugs.

[01:30:50] Like there were bugs suddenly.

[01:30:51] And I was like, where did all, cause Rachel knows my apartment relatively bug free, but

[01:30:56] there were just bugs in my kitchen area.

[01:30:57] And I'm like, where the fuck did all these bugs come from?

[01:30:59] And then I kept, I keep them above my, uh, microwave or I kept them there.

[01:31:03] Rachel also like, she's come to this observation of like everything that is bit was in my apartment

[01:31:09] was expired.

[01:31:10] Like everything was like all the raviolis and shit.

[01:31:13] I just don't, I didn't, I stopped cooking for myself.

[01:31:16] Started eating McDonald's every day.

[01:31:17] Yeah.

[01:31:18] I'm happy to buy like oil and seasoning because his seasoning was expired.

[01:31:24] How did it doesn't expire?

[01:31:26] I will stand on that.

[01:31:27] It hasn't.

[01:31:28] Okay.

[01:31:28] It doesn't expire.

[01:31:29] It's not going to make you sick in a sense.

[01:31:31] Like it's not going to expire like that, but it doesn't like hold its flavor.

[01:31:36] That's why seasoning has an expiration date.

[01:31:40] I could buy that seasoning.

[01:31:41] I'm, I'm, I'm on my soapbox.

[01:31:44] It just like loses its, you know, possessed.

[01:31:48] Zest.

[01:31:48] Yeah.

[01:31:51] All right.

[01:31:51] So the meat for this game, uh, we got only a few little points here.

[01:31:56] The biggest thing is like, this game was initially solo play only or single player, but it added

[01:32:02] co-op later on.

[01:32:04] And that's when they messaged me and was like, they added co-op to Brotato.

[01:32:08] And I was like, perfect.

[01:32:09] Well, not perfect.

[01:32:10] I was like, I guess we'll play it because I feel like I've gone on record on the pod saying

[01:32:14] that Brotato is not a game that you need to play because it only wastes your time.

[01:32:20] Yes.

[01:32:20] That is actually a good, that's a good synopsis.

[01:32:23] Like literally what I said, whenever we first played it, he was like, what do you think?

[01:32:27] And I was like, it seems like a good way to waste time.

[01:32:30] Yeah.

[01:32:32] That's it.

[01:32:33] That's what this game does is in, and then you play it and you're like, ah, yes, my potato

[01:32:37] now has six pistols or whatever.

[01:32:40] So we can shoot extra fast and I get the extra penetrative bullets.

[01:32:44] So I just blow through everything and max range.

[01:32:46] And then you start looking at the stats and you start your min max thing where you're

[01:32:50] like, huh?

[01:32:50] If I buy the glasses, I have minus one luck, but plus 20 range.

[01:32:55] So that's pretty good because I need the range.

[01:32:57] But my luck stat is now negative.

[01:32:59] So I'm not getting box drops anymore.

[01:33:01] And the box shops are really strong.

[01:33:04] And then you get an achievement and you get one gamer score from it.

[01:33:09] And then you just like, what's the point?

[01:33:12] To fuck your numbers up.

[01:33:14] That is, I mean, that is definitely a little bit passive aggressive.

[01:33:19] I don't care for that.

[01:33:20] Or it is to fix your already fucked up numbers.

[01:33:24] True.

[01:33:25] This is true.

[01:33:26] This is very true.

[01:33:26] You can round things out with it.

[01:33:28] The achievements in this game kept me coming back though, because I'm not really an achievement

[01:33:32] hunter anymore.

[01:33:33] But whenever I see like achievements that are obtainable for me where I'm like, oh, I don't

[01:33:38] have to be a badass.

[01:33:39] I don't have to beat it on veteran.

[01:33:40] I just have to at least play through it on like, you know, normal or whatever as the

[01:33:46] vampire character.

[01:33:47] And I get an achievement.

[01:33:49] Sure.

[01:33:49] I'll do that.

[01:33:49] I'll try this run as this character because each character is pretty different from every

[01:33:54] other makes you play in a different way.

[01:33:56] So you're not just doing the same thing over and over again compared to other roguelikes

[01:34:00] like the binding of Isaac, where it's like there's certain items that I just really

[01:34:05] want to get for my playthrough.

[01:34:07] Whereas this, it's like you need something different each time usually.

[01:34:11] Yeah.

[01:34:11] Having the different characters with different specialties definitely changes the way the

[01:34:15] play styles.

[01:34:16] And there are distinct different play styles.

[01:34:18] Because it is like, it's like vampire survivors in a way, but it's also like, what is that

[01:34:24] game?

[01:34:25] Team fight tactics.

[01:34:26] Yeah.

[01:34:26] Or battle chess or whatever.

[01:34:28] Auto chess.

[01:34:29] So it's like whenever you get specific, like if you get, if you get a gun, if you get

[01:34:33] like multiple guns, then it will give you a buff for more guns.

[01:34:37] Like I don't remember what it is, extra range or something.

[01:34:39] It gives you more range if you get guns.

[01:34:41] Yeah.

[01:34:42] And then some guns will be like a heavy, also heavy or also elemental or something like a precision

[01:34:47] gun, like the sniper rifle.

[01:34:48] And so the precision is its own little keyword that gives you other things.

[01:34:52] So you can do a lot of like cool min maxing with this.

[01:34:57] So I think that's where I, I really fall in love with this game personally.

[01:35:02] And I, and I think you're right.

[01:35:03] I think another way I would say this is one of those, like, this is the most fun you'll

[01:35:07] ever have being bored.

[01:35:09] Because, because it's not exciting really in any way.

[01:35:13] It's fully RNG based.

[01:35:15] So you're just always fighting that, that grind.

[01:35:18] But one thing I, while I love roguelikes or roguelites likes, whatever it may fall into,

[01:35:25] they're always super grindy and rotators grindy, but it's all, you said it Phil, it's all very

[01:35:31] beatable.

[01:35:32] It's all very obtainable.

[01:35:34] And I, and I appreciate when I feel like I can actually beat one of them.

[01:35:37] And I'm not just like, well, that's just going to be a, I, even in a thousand hours,

[01:35:41] I'm just not going to be able to do that because it's too hard or it's going to take

[01:35:45] me a thousand hours.

[01:35:47] That's, it kind of drives me nuts.

[01:35:48] So I like that.

[01:35:49] I can actually complete every aspect of this game.

[01:35:52] Just, it makes me feel nice, warm and fuzzy inside.

[01:35:56] Not saying that this game is easy.

[01:35:58] This game is not easy on the higher difficulty.

[01:36:01] No, no, the higher difficulty, but, but even then I think they're still manageable.

[01:36:04] Like I've, I've won at least a handful of D five runs.

[01:36:09] Like I can't, I don't do it consistently.

[01:36:11] I don't have even a majority of characters.

[01:36:13] I think it's like four or five characters that I've done it with most of the time.

[01:36:16] I don't even try to, but it's just like, I know that it's possible to, to beat those

[01:36:22] hardest levels of it.

[01:36:23] And I, I don't always get that with a lot of games.

[01:36:25] So this is special for me and vampire survivors is another one like that.

[01:36:29] Well, this, you guys reminded me just now that you, so you guys talked about the difficulties

[01:36:34] there, you, you can, there are five, there are six tiers actually, cause it starts

[01:36:38] with zero and each one just gets progressively more difficult.

[01:36:41] But besides that difficulty modifier, you can also modify the difficulty on a granular level.

[01:36:47] Did you guys go into the options and do any of that?

[01:36:49] I didn't see that.

[01:36:50] I haven't touched it, but I know it exists.

[01:36:52] This I did.

[01:36:53] I don't know if Rachel notices Rachel played this game without me just to get some solo

[01:36:57] games in, but you can change the enemy health, the enemy damage output, the speed, the explosion

[01:37:04] range and the projectile speed.

[01:37:08] So I have everything.

[01:37:10] I have it on baby mode.

[01:37:12] Like I have all of that, like turned to like enemy health all the way down.

[01:37:16] You know what I mean?

[01:37:17] So mostly cause I was just grinding out the level, like grinding out the characters.

[01:37:21] I had already beaten it.

[01:37:22] I didn't know about this before I beat the level five and got the achievement for that.

[01:37:26] But then once I realized that I was like, Oh, I can like easily manageably just every day

[01:37:31] play one or two rounds of this for like 15, 20 minutes by grind it.

[01:37:36] I, I, it didn't work cause I don't have all the achievements, but you can do that.

[01:37:42] That's some good accessibility, especially if you are tired of certain things.

[01:37:48] I think it's pretty cool.

[01:37:49] I did want to mention to like, it is a little bit away from the stat talk and stuff, but

[01:37:54] they added four player co-op.

[01:37:56] I thought this was just going to be two players like cult of the lamb, but to have four potatoes

[01:38:01] running around the same time, I played this game with Jana and she had seen me play it,

[01:38:05] but she had never played it with herself.

[01:38:07] And we won our run when we did it together.

[01:38:09] And I'm like, that's great.

[01:38:11] It's so unbalanced.

[01:38:12] Is it because it felt easy?

[01:38:15] Yeah, it is.

[01:38:17] It's unbelievably easy.

[01:38:18] Cause I don't think that there's a way that they can, besides maybe making the enemies,

[01:38:22] enemies do more damage, but like, it's, it's like baby mode.

[01:38:26] Like if you just got four controllers and the three were just doing nothing, like it would

[01:38:30] still be like the easiest run of your life.

[01:38:34] Well, does it, so does it do it?

[01:38:36] Like if one person goes down, the round doesn't end.

[01:38:39] No.

[01:38:40] Yeah.

[01:38:40] As long as one person survives, you win.

[01:38:42] Oh yeah.

[01:38:43] Yeah.

[01:38:44] Cause Rachel was dying and I died like on that first one.

[01:38:47] Cause I made it to where I couldn't get any more HP or whatever.

[01:38:52] Yeah.

[01:38:52] Oh, max your health at like 20 or whatever.

[01:38:56] Yeah.

[01:38:57] Today, whenever we played together, I was a little pacifist and I was just like hitting one

[01:39:02] guy the whole round.

[01:39:04] She had like five hands and she was just pushing a guy into a corner and just doing two damage

[01:39:10] to it.

[01:39:10] Meanwhile, I got like playing precision.

[01:39:12] So I'm going around creating for like 500, stabbing a bunch of people running through

[01:39:17] and she's just pushing one guy in the corner.

[01:39:20] But when you're peaceful, you get the harvest bonus.

[01:39:23] Yeah.

[01:39:24] Which is the thing.

[01:39:25] Like she was like eight levels higher than me at one point.

[01:39:28] And I was like, why the fuck do you have so much?

[01:39:30] Like, why are you getting so much experience?

[01:39:31] And you're not killing anything.

[01:39:33] It's built different.

[01:39:35] Yeah.

[01:39:36] Literally built different.

[01:39:37] But see, that's another one of those things that I think is really fun about it is like,

[01:39:41] there's all these levels.

[01:39:43] Like I won't call this game deep or, you know, very intellectual by any means, but

[01:39:50] there's so many different tiny little factors, like paying attention to the type of damage

[01:39:54] that a weapon does beyond just the stat bonuses that it can give you.

[01:39:58] You're like, oh, like the shuriken is one of my favorite weapons.

[01:40:01] It's a ranged weapon, operates like a ranged weapon, but it goes up on melee damage, which

[01:40:07] you actually generally get more of quicker and easier.

[01:40:11] So I'm like, sure, it can run tons and tons of fun.

[01:40:14] But like, if you don't necessarily look at these things, you'll do fine.

[01:40:18] You'll be, you'll be able to, but if you really want to min max and like, I'm going to break

[01:40:22] this roguelite.

[01:40:23] You can do that by like paying attention to these tiny little stats that they have.

[01:40:29] I push back on that a little bit.

[01:40:31] You are not fine.

[01:40:32] If you're not paying attention, if you're just buying shit at random, you can, you can make

[01:40:36] your health regen go negative.

[01:40:39] And then you're just slowly dying.

[01:40:41] Like that's my first couple of runs.

[01:40:44] I died because I didn't realize you could make health regen minus three.

[01:40:48] And like, you are literally losing three health, like, I'll do that.

[01:40:52] And then by the, the token, the one health.

[01:40:54] Yeah.

[01:40:54] The alien that gives you one health.

[01:40:56] I did that my very first run.

[01:40:58] So many times.

[01:41:00] And I just forget that like the first time I did it, it was the epitome of, does this

[01:41:05] game have fall damage?

[01:41:06] I was like, I think I can do spoiler.

[01:41:09] The damage comes off before your HP regen.

[01:41:11] Even if it's at like 50, just die.

[01:41:14] Yeah.

[01:41:15] So bought that alien too.

[01:41:17] And she was like, Oh no, I didn't mean to do that.

[01:41:18] And I was like, Oh, are you going to die?

[01:41:20] And then she has like 80.

[01:41:22] So much like health region that it didn't.

[01:41:25] I like bought that.

[01:41:26] I bought two things that reduced my starting health.

[01:41:30] The first thing in the same round, it was like, I bought one that reduced it by 50% to

[01:41:35] start.

[01:41:35] And then I accidentally bought one that was like, no, you just start at one.

[01:41:38] And I was like, Oh, am I going to just go in there and die?

[01:41:41] 50% of one.

[01:41:43] What is the game going to think of this?

[01:41:45] But it was fine.

[01:41:46] Oh, just when pushed people.

[01:41:49] That reminds me.

[01:41:50] So we were talking about achievements earlier.

[01:41:52] This game is exponentially faster of a completion now because each person is

[01:41:56] that you have in the co-op game, they, you will unlock the achievement for each of them.

[01:42:00] So every time Rachel played, I got two achievements for beating the level.

[01:42:04] So if you have four controllers, you can get knock for creep characters out every run.

[01:42:09] Then that's that it was a run got easier.

[01:42:12] Yeah.

[01:42:13] And so anything she was, she was never signed in.

[01:42:15] So I don't know if she was going to get the achievements or not.

[01:42:17] I would imagine.

[01:42:18] I mean, we're like, we're both signed in pretty much all the time to that.

[01:42:23] Oh, so it didn't.

[01:42:23] It just didn't.

[01:42:24] It just doesn't let you choose to be.

[01:42:27] Okay.

[01:42:27] Yeah.

[01:42:28] So only the host is going to get the achievements.

[01:42:30] Yeah, but it's cool.

[01:42:32] And so she would be playing and she would get like 200 harvest from something and then

[01:42:37] I'd get the achievement for it.

[01:42:38] So it's like, okay, so she's like literally knocking tons of these achievements out for

[01:42:42] me.

[01:42:43] Mm hmm.

[01:42:44] One thing that I really enjoyed was the spectral ones with like the ghost acts and everything.

[01:42:50] How often do you guys use those to get the stacks?

[01:42:51] Because those, those are like my default.

[01:42:54] If I don't have a better option.

[01:42:56] I liked them a lot.

[01:42:57] The last run I just did, I did a solo run and then me and Rachel played together.

[01:43:01] I was doing a spectral run because I was playing in the new DLC place.

[01:43:05] But then I slowly started selling them for the naval stuff, which is yeah, you got to

[01:43:09] rotate out eventually.

[01:43:11] Yeah.

[01:43:12] And so I was running naval and naval's cool.

[01:43:14] I ran naval the second time.

[01:43:15] So I was like, hat, like a third naval and then two thirds precision.

[01:43:20] But it's it.

[01:43:22] The new weapons are really cool.

[01:43:23] I think in the spectral stuff scaling is great.

[01:43:26] If you are, if you can get the stuff early, there's some scaling stuff that are just crazy

[01:43:30] if you get them early.

[01:43:32] So they actually have your health them slightly like the spectral weapons.

[01:43:36] It used to not have the minus armor attached to it.

[01:43:39] Whenever you first started, I don't know if you noticed that.

[01:43:41] Yeah.

[01:43:42] But now they added it.

[01:43:43] So it's like you have a higher dodge chance with these weapons.

[01:43:46] But when you do get hit, you like instantly die.

[01:43:49] And of course, I recommend to the channel.

[01:43:50] I'm like, yo, this stuff is great.

[01:43:52] Build spectral.

[01:43:53] And then she gets hit once and just loses all her health in one hit.

[01:43:56] I'm like, have you been buying armor?

[01:43:58] And she's like, I don't know.

[01:44:00] Like, why would I do that?

[01:44:02] Yeah.

[01:44:02] I'm just gonna kill them faster.

[01:44:04] Yeah.

[01:44:05] I, the first time I didn't say anything to Rachel really besides a, you can combine

[01:44:09] those weapons.

[01:44:09] That was really like the only thing I told her.

[01:44:11] And so I just kind of let her experience it for the first time.

[01:44:14] Do you remember your first game?

[01:44:16] Like, do you remember your thought process?

[01:44:18] Uh, I had, I was doing like melee.

[01:44:22] I remember that.

[01:44:24] I was just matching the things.

[01:44:26] All like, I had like elemental and melee or something.

[01:44:29] So I was just like, oh, this says that.

[01:44:32] Use that.

[01:44:34] That's really, this sounds bad.

[01:44:36] I'm not going to do that.

[01:44:38] And then accidentally buy it.

[01:44:41] No, I mean, I, and that's the thing is like, I don't know.

[01:44:44] You can get like all these different synergies of weapons, but I, I tend to just build the

[01:44:49] same weapon over and over again.

[01:44:51] I think actually one of my favorites is just building the sticks.

[01:44:54] Cause every time you have additional sticks, they do more damage.

[01:44:57] It's so funny.

[01:44:58] And, uh, yeah, like even in the base game, I think there's the, there's the potato that

[01:45:03] has can hold up to 12 weapons.

[01:45:05] So yeah, you just get 12 sticks and each of them are doing hundreds of damage.

[01:45:10] Just this pokey little potato running around.

[01:45:13] With a game like this, I'm just really into just like random.

[01:45:18] So like whenever we played earlier, I just chose random, which is how I wound up as the

[01:45:22] pacifist.

[01:45:24] Uh, so I don't know.

[01:45:25] I like the randomness of it and then trying to build around whatever you're given.

[01:45:31] Well, that's another thing.

[01:45:32] You played the DLC stuff, right?

[01:45:33] Yeah.

[01:45:34] So you got to play with curse.

[01:45:36] Curse is pretty good.

[01:45:37] The curse is a little, as a really fun aspect of it.

[01:45:39] Cause it, I mean, for one, it makes those spectral weapons even better.

[01:45:43] Cause as they get cursed, like I don't quite understand the curse levels of mechanics.

[01:45:49] Cause even when I was playing with those sticks, I would have two of the same level

[01:45:55] weapon.

[01:45:55] Both of them would be cursed, but one would do more damage than the other.

[01:46:00] And there's like, it's, you can have, it had higher curse, but it didn't like some of

[01:46:05] them didn't.

[01:46:05] And it was just like varying degrees of weird, uh, stats that seem to change.

[01:46:10] But I feel like those, those spectral weapons would actually be a lot of fun because it tends

[01:46:14] to on anything that's like, Oh, you know, every 10 kills, this happens.

[01:46:18] It lowers that amount.

[01:46:19] So I imagine that those spectral weapons are just proccing over and over again.

[01:46:23] And you're just building up stats.

[01:46:26] And you're 500% damage bonus at the end.

[01:46:30] Yeah.

[01:46:30] I mean, this is a, this is a broken game.

[01:46:33] Like I, I, I tend to follow a lot of the subreddits for these types of games.

[01:46:38] And I've seen people with like 12,000 damage.

[01:46:41] Like, how does that happen?

[01:46:44] Like people who make it to like level 900 on endless waves.

[01:46:48] That's they get at that point.

[01:46:49] It doesn't even feel like it's fun to me.

[01:46:51] Like, what are you really playing for?

[01:46:53] Cause and that was, that was where I fizzled out on vampire survivors.

[01:46:57] Cause it sounds like you guys played that as well.

[01:46:59] Like as you get the golden eggs, you just kind of reach a break point with the golden eggs.

[01:47:03] The game's scale too much.

[01:47:05] Yeah. Yeah. It just stops being fun a little bit.

[01:47:08] So that's one of the things that at least for me, I think I like bro Tato more than say vampire survivors, just because it feels like it takes a lot more to get to those, that brokenness.

[01:47:18] It doesn't have like a meta broken level.

[01:47:20] It's very into run.

[01:47:22] That's me. That's, that's the opposite of me.

[01:47:24] Because when I play vampire survivors, I just pick the chick.

[01:47:27] I pick the queen. That's the strongest carries.

[01:47:29] It's like, she's already number one.

[01:47:31] Yeah. Yeah.

[01:47:32] And I just like, okay, I'm just going to get these achievements real quick.

[01:47:35] It's going to be nice.

[01:47:36] I don't know why I was like, I already told you guys, I lowered that accessibility options all the way down.

[01:47:41] They did add a new achievement for doing a thousand damage in the single hit.

[01:47:44] And I propped that achievement like in the first run.

[01:47:47] And I was just like, I don't even know what I did.

[01:47:49] I didn't even see the hit.

[01:47:50] I'm just like running around using some probably or something.

[01:47:54] Yeah.

[01:47:56] Sticks.

[01:47:57] The curse is really cool though.

[01:47:59] I like the curse because it, it, every time I was like, I did curse run.

[01:48:03] I did three runs with the DLC twice.

[01:48:05] I did curse and both times I would have so much fucking money.

[01:48:09] Like I didn't know what to do with it all.

[01:48:11] Like I, because it spawns stronger.

[01:48:15] It's a, the more curse you have the higher chance that you spawn a cursed enemy, which drops more resources.

[01:48:20] So if you're building more and more curse, then you're killing more people who drop more resources, who, and then like, you know what I mean?

[01:48:28] It's like, why would you not use it?

[01:48:29] You buy the items that make more enemies spawn that make more.

[01:48:32] So it's like you're, it's this crazy loop where eventually the screen is just filled with a bunch of people and you're just getting so much money.

[01:48:39] It's crazy.

[01:48:40] Like, did you, do you remember the fisherman character?

[01:48:43] Yeah.

[01:48:44] Oh yeah.

[01:48:45] There's a lure always available.

[01:48:47] Buy it every round.

[01:48:48] And it is so funny.

[01:48:50] Just the amount of enemies that spawn in.

[01:48:52] And it's great.

[01:48:53] Cause it's like, I'm either going to survive this first five minutes or I'm not.

[01:48:56] And if I don't survive this five minutes, you just started again.

[01:48:59] I really liked that one.

[01:49:01] There's, there's a few of them that are really cool.

[01:49:02] Like there was, um, the guy that like scales his health up.

[01:49:06] Oh, I'm trying to remember which one it was.

[01:49:07] I think it's just the fat character where it's like, every time you eat something, you explode and then do damage based on like how much health you have.

[01:49:14] Like you get that one.

[01:49:15] And then the other items just increase your max health or scale it up even more.

[01:49:19] So all of a sudden you're gaining like 15 max health each round.

[01:49:24] And so by the end of the game, you have like 300 health at round 20 and you explode once and just blows up everyone around you.

[01:49:30] Like I love that type of stuff.

[01:49:31] The, the bull was the character that you can't equip any item.

[01:49:35] You can't equip any weapons, but every time you take damage, you blow up.

[01:49:39] And that is the guy who I beat level five with.

[01:49:42] Like with all the excess of the normal.

[01:49:44] That guy is busted.

[01:49:46] Like that is the strongest character in the game.

[01:49:48] Cause you, well, you just stack health.

[01:49:50] Well, it's great.

[01:49:50] Cause yeah, it takes out.

[01:49:52] I don't know how many weapons out of the web or the item pool.

[01:49:55] So you have like a higher RNG.

[01:49:58] Something that Brotato does.

[01:49:59] I don't know.

[01:50:00] I don't know the numbers on it.

[01:50:01] I can't figure it out.

[01:50:04] It has RNG boost built into it of some sort.

[01:50:07] Like if you're building a specific, like the specter weapons, it will give you more of those specter weapons than it will of other things.

[01:50:15] So it's, I, I, it's another one of those things that's like, I don't know how they do it, but I appreciate it because it, it, while the RNG still exists and there's plenty of re-rolls that like, I can't get what I want.

[01:50:26] Eventually you kind of know you will more so than, than other games of its style.

[01:50:31] Yeah.

[01:50:32] It feels like this game wants you to have fun, which is different compared to risk of rain too, which the game is like, try to have fun.

[01:50:41] And you're like, okay.

[01:50:42] Or it's like Hades where it's like, it's all about getting good in Hades.

[01:50:45] I feel, I feel like it's more of a, a dark souls than a roguelike type deal.

[01:50:50] Whereas this rain revels in your pain.

[01:50:53] Yeah.

[01:50:54] It is happy that it gave you nothing.

[01:50:56] And it's like, you do get a good run of risk of rain.

[01:50:58] And then it's like, well, I'm going to eat a half an hour of your time.

[01:51:02] You know, at that point where it's like, I'm like, I've already won.

[01:51:05] I'm already there.

[01:51:06] Concede.

[01:51:07] Yeah.

[01:51:08] Concede early risk of rain.

[01:51:09] Tell the game to stop playing.

[01:51:11] You're like, just let me win.

[01:51:12] Dude.

[01:51:13] I'm going to play description.

[01:51:14] You can, you can, you can restart battles and metaphor re-vantazio.

[01:51:20] And sometimes like I, if something's not going correctly on the first turn, I will just keep

[01:51:25] re-rolling it until it does it for me.

[01:51:26] And I, I literally say out loud, I'm just going to keep doing this until you give it to

[01:51:30] me game.

[01:51:31] So you just might as well give this to me.

[01:51:33] Like, I'm just going to keep restarting until you, until you let me get through with

[01:51:36] this.

[01:51:38] I mean, there's times like that where like, um, I'm playing, uh, like symphony or Castlevania

[01:51:45] symphony of whatever bullshit river.

[01:51:47] And there's times where I go in and I'm getting locked in a boss battle and I'm like, oh yeah,

[01:51:52] I'm definitely going to have to start using safe states because this is unbearable or

[01:51:56] something like it'll be like some trash into me, like the hopping frog guy, or like, I'm

[01:52:00] just going to reload this room or the last five seconds until I kill this frog that just

[01:52:05] keeps poisoning me.

[01:52:09] That's sometimes the game should just let you in.

[01:52:11] Like, that's why I didn't call Nave out for being a cheater and switching to peaceful

[01:52:14] mode in this game.

[01:52:18] Because like sometimes games just, you don't want to deal with their bullshit.

[01:52:25] Yeah.

[01:52:25] This game is painful if you die like on round 18 and you're just like, oh my God.

[01:52:29] I stand up when I die in this game, if it's something stupid like that.

[01:52:35] And I'm like, I guess I have to stand up.

[01:52:37] I have so much rage inside of me all of a sudden.

[01:52:40] Like this is one of my most rage inducing games.

[01:52:43] The amount of like quick dashboards I have done.

[01:52:47] Like after I die or I get straight into the dashboard and I'm like, I'm going to sleep.

[01:52:51] Like that's the only way I can get through with the rest of my days.

[01:52:55] I need to be unconscious now.

[01:52:59] Well, you have those runs too, where you just find that one potato that you're like,

[01:53:04] for me it was pacifist.

[01:53:05] I could not beat pacifist for, I don't know how many runs.

[01:53:09] Could not figure it out.

[01:53:11] Still hate that character.

[01:53:12] My least favorite one.

[01:53:14] And yeah, it's not great.

[01:53:15] The 18, 19 deaths.

[01:53:18] I was really fucking with it.

[01:53:20] I like that.

[01:53:21] Yeah.

[01:53:21] Cause you had me running around fucking.

[01:53:23] I didn't need you.

[01:53:25] I was pushing those hoes out the way.

[01:53:27] They didn't know.

[01:53:28] I got the hands.

[01:53:30] I had so many hands.

[01:53:31] So many hands.

[01:53:32] They weren't ready for the hands.

[01:53:34] You're just moving through a crowd, just shoving them.

[01:53:37] I could just watch you like running around cause you're just pushing everyone away.

[01:53:41] Yeah.

[01:53:42] It was fun.

[01:53:43] I liked it.

[01:53:45] So we can talk about the graphics.

[01:53:47] Because whenever I first saw this, I thought it was like a spinoff of, uh, Isaac was alone.

[01:53:51] Or no, the binding of Isaac.

[01:53:53] Yeah.

[01:53:54] Where I'm like, Oh, this is, this is a gross little baby game.

[01:53:57] Like, but no, it's, it's not a spinoff of that.

[01:54:01] And it looks like a flash game, like Fox zombies or something.

[01:54:06] Did I mix?

[01:54:07] It was a box head.

[01:54:08] Box head zombies.

[01:54:10] Yeah.

[01:54:11] But, uh, compared to like, uh, 20 minutes till dawn or whatever, which is super stylized pixel art.

[01:54:19] Uh, this game's a little ugly.

[01:54:22] And I think it's funny.

[01:54:24] Yeah.

[01:54:25] I think it's supposed to be ugly.

[01:54:26] Well, the new character, the new map gives you a bunch of new enemies to fight against and they look pretty good.

[01:54:32] There's literally like the blob fish, like enemy, like a blob fish shows up and it makes me laugh every time I see it.

[01:54:37] Cause like I, one of the new weapons is a harpoon and it literally, it's a ranged weapon.

[01:54:41] It just be yanks beat like scorpion, get over here, you know?

[01:54:44] But, um, it's like every time I see a blob fish get hit by it and yanked over to me, it just looks so upset.

[01:54:50] I'm just like, fuck you.

[01:54:51] Fuck you guys.

[01:54:52] Stupid blob fish.

[01:54:54] Uh, I really love how all the items you buy go on your character.

[01:54:59] Yeah.

[01:54:59] So you just, you're just wearing like a cowboy hat with an eye patch with like a fish hook through your head.

[01:55:05] While also like a pair of rain boots on your feet and a shield strapped to your back, like Zelda style.

[01:55:13] Yeah.

[01:55:13] It was great.

[01:55:14] Yeah. Risk of rain.

[01:55:15] You just look real goofy by the end.

[01:55:17] I enjoy that.

[01:55:20] Uh, what little quirk with this game is you have to use a D pad to move around.

[01:55:25] Do you?

[01:55:26] No, I use the, I use the left stick.

[01:55:30] My left stick doesn't work in this game.

[01:55:32] It doesn't work for me either.

[01:55:34] That's so weird.

[01:55:35] I had to use the D pad the whole time.

[01:55:37] I wonder if there's like a weird controller mapping thing.

[01:55:39] Cause yeah, I definitely use the left stick.

[01:55:41] I literally have, you know, I remember earlier playing and being like, why, why, why is it like this?

[01:55:47] I want to use the analog.

[01:55:49] Nope.

[01:55:50] I'm telling you.

[01:55:52] No, it is a thing.

[01:55:53] When, when, when Jana was my co-partner, she also had to use the D pad.

[01:55:57] It's gotta be.

[01:55:58] It's gotta be.

[01:56:00] Probably some weird mapping thing.

[01:56:02] But I thought that was so strange.

[01:56:04] Cause I'm like, no other games are like this where it's like one or the other.

[01:56:07] Usually it's like use whichever is more comfortable.

[01:56:11] Yeah.

[01:56:12] I would, I think like occasionally I'll switch to D pad if I'm like, I know I need to like run like very rigid paths.

[01:56:19] Yeah.

[01:56:19] Like I know this one enemy is going to follow this pattern, but outside of that.

[01:56:23] Yeah.

[01:56:24] I I'm all analog stick and it's so smooth and nice.

[01:56:27] I couldn't imagine putting this game only D pad.

[01:56:30] That's so there's no option for it.

[01:56:32] There's no option to switch to analog or D pad.

[01:56:34] They both.

[01:56:35] All right.

[01:56:38] Well, that's how RNG this gets.

[01:56:40] It's like, you have a hard control is a random like which you only need like for the actual game gameplay.

[01:56:46] If we're not talking about the store, you only need a directional movement.

[01:56:50] It's only the stick or the D pad.

[01:56:52] Yeah.

[01:56:52] There's no other.

[01:56:53] It's like vampire survivors.

[01:56:54] Yeah.

[01:56:55] I do like the items in the store, but yeah, I would complain about the Xbox pro controller though.

[01:57:01] The base model that comes with the D pad.

[01:57:03] That's a disc.

[01:57:04] You know what I'm talking about?

[01:57:06] Yeah, because that's what it comes with in that disc sucks ass.

[01:57:10] It is the number one worst thing about the controller.

[01:57:14] Why do so many?

[01:57:15] I feel like so many of the modern controllers, the D pads are terrible.

[01:57:19] Nintendo is the only good one.

[01:57:21] As long as you don't count the joy con the joy guns and God awful.

[01:57:24] You know, the reason why is because Nintendo has a patent on that.

[01:57:27] I know when I heard about that.

[01:57:28] I'm like, no way.

[01:57:29] No way.

[01:57:30] They had a patent on directional pads.

[01:57:33] Well, like it was the patent is distinct buttons.

[01:57:35] Is that what the patent is the technology underneath the D pad?

[01:57:39] So like that's why all the other D pad.

[01:57:41] That's why Sony has four individual buttons and why Xbox has this weird disc thing because they don't want to pay Nintendo to have the normal functioning D pad like they have.

[01:57:52] That's why the Sega has a disc as well for the old Sega controllers.

[01:57:57] Yeah.

[01:57:57] Well, the Philip you don't have the you don't have the no, I don't have the switchy boys.

[01:58:04] Oh, that sucks.

[01:58:05] Yeah.

[01:58:05] Because I switched that motherfucker out right away.

[01:58:07] I was like, no, thank you, dude.

[01:58:09] It like binds up like while I'm playing potato.

[01:58:11] I don't know if I just hit it with a weird diagonal, but it will lock in place and I won't be able to do an input until I slightly rotate it back.

[01:58:18] And I'm like, no, no, no, no.

[01:58:20] Like as it's just not working.

[01:58:21] It's like, dude, you don't remember in Far Cry 2 deep cut, but like Far Cry 2 your gun would jam and you're like fucking trying to fix it.

[01:58:28] No, God, please.

[01:58:30] I'm trying to kill this fucking Jeep.

[01:58:31] I got malaria.

[01:58:33] Yeah.

[01:58:34] Fucking malaria attack.

[01:58:36] Oh, God.

[01:58:37] So stupid.

[01:58:39] But yeah, any other me points where we go to final words?

[01:58:43] No.

[01:58:44] I mean, the game is well, let's final words.

[01:58:47] Yeah.

[01:58:47] So let's go to final words.

[01:58:48] I'll take these first final words.

[01:58:50] I might have already spoiled this up front, but I had a chance to buy this game on Steam for $2 and 30 cents.

[01:58:58] I did not.

[01:58:59] I specifically did not, even though I would have gotten 10% off of it if I would have bought it when it was already like 90% off.

[01:59:06] This game is good.

[01:59:08] I played it on Game Pass and I doubt I'm ever going to go back to it.

[01:59:12] I recommend everybody go out and play this game for an hour and then probably don't play anymore.

[01:59:17] Meanwhile, I have two days on it and I feel like I probably wasted my time there.

[01:59:21] I don't really remember all the games I played, but I think I had fun with it.

[01:59:25] Listen to a lot of podcasts while I play.

[01:59:28] I recommend, especially co-op.

[01:59:30] The co-op seems really fun for a party setting, especially if you have people that are familiar with the game and you're going to win every time.

[01:59:38] But you don't really need to buy this.

[01:59:39] Just play it on Game Pass.

[01:59:42] Yep.

[01:59:42] If you like Power Wash Simulator, you're going to like this probably.

[01:59:46] Oh, I forgot about Power Wash Simulator.

[01:59:48] What about you, Keith?

[01:59:49] You got final words?

[01:59:50] I mean, I'm a proponent of Game Pass in general, so I can't agree more.

[01:59:55] At least go play it on Game Pass.

[01:59:56] I wouldn't buy this game again at the very least.

[01:59:59] I think I could have been like if I didn't have an experience with Rotato and then you offered it to me for $2.35.

[02:00:08] Yeah, I'd probably give it a go.

[02:00:10] But if you've got Game Pass, definitely check it out there.

[02:00:13] It is fun.

[02:00:14] I mean, 200 plus hours probably in the game, I guess, which is disgusting and all that.

[02:00:22] But it's just mindless fun.

[02:00:24] And I can just one more run, one more run, especially if it does that little dopamine thing for you of like trying to beat it with every character.

[02:00:33] And I did a stupid thing where I decided I wanted to beat it on like at least Danger 2.

[02:00:37] So I really punished myself and stuck it out to the end.

[02:00:42] But I just think there's for its genre, there's so many different little intricacies that make it interesting at least and can keep you coming back for more, at least if you get into it.

[02:00:54] If you play for an hour and you don't like it, you're not going to like more of it.

[02:00:57] It doesn't get better.

[02:00:58] And if you played 200 hours of it and you did like it, you'll like the DLC because it's just more of the same.

[02:01:03] And if you didn't really care for it, then you won't like the DLC.

[02:01:07] But otherwise, yeah, I would definitely recommend this game.

[02:01:12] What about you, Rachel?

[02:01:14] So it's $5 on mobile.

[02:01:18] And I think that might be worth it.

[02:01:21] I think it would crash mobile.

[02:01:22] I just deleted a bunch of my social media apps and I need something to do with my phone.

[02:01:29] So, you know, I'd be willing to spend $5 on my phone.

[02:01:34] Isn't Vampire Service free on your phone though?

[02:01:37] It is.

[02:01:37] Look, you can get a free version.

[02:01:39] You just have to watch ads.

[02:01:40] But I fucking hate ads so much.

[02:01:43] Oh, yeah.

[02:01:44] I do too.

[02:01:45] Yeah, we talk about wiretaps, but that's my number one use for my Alexa because I have the Fire TV.

[02:01:50] But being able to be like, Alexa, skip ads on YouTube is incredible.

[02:01:55] I paid to not have ads on YouTube because I hate them so much.

[02:02:00] And then every time he's watching his YouTube, I'm just like full of rage.

[02:02:04] It's like 45 minute unskippable ads.

[02:02:09] It's because it's literally because I watch YouTube so much.

[02:02:12] And it's not that it's not as bad on the phone.

[02:02:14] It's just they happen so often.

[02:02:16] And like, but I can always skip them in five seconds when I'm on Xbox on the TV.

[02:02:20] The ads are literally like 100 seconds.

[02:02:23] They know.

[02:02:23] And you can skip the ad.

[02:02:25] You can't handle it.

[02:02:25] But it just changes to a new ad.

[02:02:27] So it's like, it's egregious.

[02:02:30] And it's going to make me fucking, I unfortunately pay for fucking YouTube premium also.

[02:02:34] Because it fucking, it's the worst.

[02:02:37] But then I go to Rachel's YouTube and it's her algorithm.

[02:02:39] So I just have to remember what videos I want to watch.

[02:02:43] I have to like recall from memory who's uploaded recently.

[02:02:46] Like, oh yeah, there's a new Doug Doug video and also Brutal Moose.

[02:02:50] So let's go do that.

[02:02:52] I mean, I watch those two channels.

[02:02:55] So, but now my algorithm is just full of chess and political debates.

[02:03:03] So that's what I get to see now.

[02:03:06] It's fucking awesome.

[02:03:07] It's great.

[02:03:09] That is my record.

[02:03:10] That is my final words.

[02:03:12] It's all a chess short or whatever that was like.

[02:03:15] Like, you can get away with cheating in chess and tournaments if the ref doesn't see.

[02:03:20] That was just.

[02:03:21] Yeah.

[02:03:21] It's true.

[02:03:22] Yeah.

[02:03:23] And they were just doing like speed chess.

[02:03:24] He's like, you can do illegal moves all the time.

[02:03:27] Dude, I love speed chess.

[02:03:29] Cause it's so like the, what is it called?

[02:03:31] Blitz.

[02:03:32] Dude, Blitz chess is so funny over the board because they're like.

[02:03:38] Just slapping the clock.

[02:03:40] Yeah.

[02:03:41] Yeah.

[02:03:41] All right.

[02:03:42] Yeah.

[02:03:42] Potato is good.

[02:03:43] And I would recommend buying.

[02:03:45] I would recommend buying the game if you want to play it.

[02:03:47] It's great on game pass.

[02:03:48] If you're going to play it, if you play like one match and you're like, oh, I kind of like

[02:03:51] when number get bigger, uh, buy the DLC right away and start playing it.

[02:03:55] Cause it adds more guns and shit to the game.

[02:03:58] It adds more enemies.

[02:03:59] Like five more characters.

[02:04:01] Yeah.

[02:04:01] Yeah.

[02:04:02] The characters interact with the new things.

[02:04:03] So it's cool.

[02:04:04] Curse is good.

[02:04:05] Uh, that's a good mechanic.

[02:04:06] So, I mean, it's worth the $2 and 50 cents or whatever the DLC is.

[02:04:11] So, um, good stuff.

[02:04:13] Keith, would you like to reiterate, reiterate where you're from and where our listeners can

[02:04:18] find you?

[02:04:19] Uh, yeah, I mean, I've been fruit.

[02:04:20] So I've been from game pass grab bag, gaming podcasts, all that fun stuff.

[02:04:25] And really just go check us out and game pass grab bag.com.

[02:04:28] We have our link tree there.

[02:04:29] It's got all the things, discord, Patreon, Spotify, you know, you know what to find.

[02:04:35] So go find us there.

[02:04:37] And which Keith, I noticed that on your wall, you also have a, uh, a father's day, uh, gift

[02:04:43] from your children.

[02:04:44] I have one as well.

[02:04:46] So you're not a better father than me.

[02:04:48] Damn.

[02:04:50] Well, I have a broken best dad right here.

[02:04:54] No, no, I got that one too.

[02:04:57] It's broken in half.

[02:04:59] Uh, broken by, by the youngest.

[02:05:03] I know.

[02:05:04] So, you know.

[02:05:05] Yeah.

[02:05:05] I mean, but Phillip's got a broken camera.

[02:05:09] Kids.

[02:05:09] Kids break everything, man.

[02:05:11] Yeah.

[02:05:12] Well, he's not shitting on your floor.

[02:05:14] Molly.

[02:05:16] You know what you can do with your kids?

[02:05:17] You can make them play co-op rotato with you.

[02:05:20] Oh, I thought you were going to say, make them.

[02:05:21] I was thinking about it.

[02:05:22] Oh my God.

[02:05:23] I think it would be perfect because I don't have to worry about them losing the game for

[02:05:26] me.

[02:05:27] So it's great.

[02:05:28] Great.

[02:05:28] I tried to make my daughter play, um, the same one that told me about Snoop Dogg and

[02:05:32] Fortnite.

[02:05:33] I tried to make her play Katamari re-roll with me.

[02:05:35] And she said, this game looks boring as I'm like rolling up erasers and pencils and

[02:05:40] stuff like that.

[02:05:41] And I'm like, is that not fun?

[02:05:43] How is this not thrilling as I'm rolling up origami cranes in a classroom?

[02:05:48] Dude, it's crazy.

[02:05:50] Cause like, I just think about how I used to be as a kid.

[02:05:52] And then today or yesterday I was literally sitting on the couch, looking out the window,

[02:05:56] listening to the rain and doing nothing else.

[02:05:58] And I'm like, dude, I would throw projectile vomit, throw up if like somebody told me to

[02:06:03] do that for fun.

[02:06:04] But I was like, this is nice.

[02:06:05] There's moments where it's like, it's snowing right now, but it's like, I look out of my

[02:06:09] backyard.

[02:06:09] I can see the mountains outside of Anchorage.

[02:06:11] There's just snow over everything.

[02:06:13] And there's huge Christmas trees in my backyard.

[02:06:16] And I just look outside as I sit my coffee and I'm like, hell yeah.

[02:06:20] So good, dude.

[02:06:21] There's a YouTube channel.

[02:06:22] I've started watching called Annie Austin.

[02:06:24] Oh, I love him.

[02:06:25] He's in all my videos too.

[02:06:27] It's like, where did the rivers grow go come from?

[02:06:29] And what's the population of IL Delfino and their employment rate?

[02:06:33] Yeah, it's really makes cool videos like that.

[02:06:35] But he also like say one of his older things is like going to innocuous places.

[02:06:39] Oh yeah.

[02:06:40] Remarkably in conspicuous places or something like that.

[02:06:43] Yeah.

[02:06:44] So like, he'll just go to a random place in like Halo combat evolved and he'll be like,

[02:06:48] this is a pretty pleasant place.

[02:06:50] Like whenever you, it's like just looking at stuff and I'm just like, oh, I enjoy this

[02:06:54] so much.

[02:06:55] My favorite one with that was in Super Mario 64.

[02:06:57] He's like, instead of going to the castle in the beginning, if you follow the left wall

[02:07:01] to the waterfall, there's a little viewing pavilion.

[02:07:04] You can sit here, look over the waterfall.

[02:07:07] This whole area, you're only going to be in for approximately 30 seconds before you

[02:07:11] make it to the castle gate.

[02:07:12] And then you have no reason to ever come back out here.

[02:07:14] But for this time we can sit and admire the texture flowing down the side of the wall.

[02:07:20] And then just sits there for a second, listening to the birds tweeting.

[02:07:23] And I'm like, this is great.

[02:07:25] Yeah.

[02:07:26] It's like you, uh, Keith was, Keith mentioned Assassin's Creed.

[02:07:28] I think that me like way earlier, he has an Assassin's Creed two one, I think where he's

[02:07:33] like this area at the beginning, you can go back to and like, like when you're, when you're

[02:07:38] done with the tutorial and then like, just look at everything.

[02:07:41] And you're like, when you're in the game, it's like, this was a crazy event.

[02:07:45] But now that you're here, you're like, oh, this obviously looks like a tutorial.

[02:07:48] Like that looks like a rock climbing wall that has no use in real life.

[02:07:51] That is literally just a rock climbing wall.

[02:07:54] So you can learn how to use that mechanic.

[02:07:57] I don't know.

[02:07:57] Good.

[02:07:59] And with that next week, we're going to be playing Call of Duty Black Ops six.

[02:08:03] Uh, they've made six of them, apparently.

[02:08:06] So that'll be fun.

[02:08:07] Six whole call of duties.

[02:08:09] Yep.

[02:08:09] So do your listener play that and then you can know what we're talking about.

[02:08:13] And with that, thanks for joining us this week.

[02:08:16] For our partners, maybe next time we can all be cursed potatoes together.

[02:08:21] Do the Crip Rock.

[02:08:23] Crip Walk.

[02:08:23] What is it called?

[02:08:24] I forget.

[02:08:25] Crip Walk.

[02:08:26] That's it.

[02:08:27] Yeah.

[02:08:27] Nice.
