[00:00:14] Oh man, is that tank sitting on your trash can the jungle juice, the party mix?

[00:00:22] Yeah, that is laundry detergent.

[00:00:26] Okay.

[00:00:27] Excellent mixer.

[00:00:28] Yeah, an excellent mixer.

[00:00:30] No, it's like you need a good mixing container with a little push thing, you know, for

[00:00:37] whenever you have the boys over so you can put the margaritas in something and it's

[00:00:41] not like out but then you still push the button.

[00:00:43] Also then you got the laundry detergent, the best drink dispenser.

[00:00:47] Yeah it's there to keep, Molly's learned how to open the trash can lid up and like poke

[00:00:52] her head in there so I have to keep something heavy on top of it from now on otherwise

[00:00:57] the shit, you know that's why my room looks really clean doesn't it?

[00:01:01] Yeah it looks good.

[00:01:02] Yeah, it's because I haven't been playing anything.

[00:01:05] I fucking took the week off.

[00:01:08] I burnt out.

[00:01:11] Twitter has officially messed me up to the point where I have to like slow down everything.

[00:01:17] Well before we get into that, let's get into this.

[00:01:21] Hello and welcome to gaming together cooperative podcast.

[00:01:23] I'm your host Phillip and I'm here with my co-op partner Nave.

[00:01:25] Each pod we play through a co-op experience then relate you to listen if this game

[00:01:28] is a criminal or criminal co-op or something better off playing solo.

[00:01:31] Nave, we have made it to the mighty 154th episode of the gaming together podcast cooperation.

[00:01:39] How you feeling?

[00:01:40] Yeah, big milestone 154.

[00:01:41] Is there anything you want to tell me, Phillip?

[00:01:42] Is there anything you got to say to me?

[00:01:49] About what?

[00:01:50] I don't know.

[00:01:51] I'm just asking.

[00:01:52] Just making sure that we're all on the same page.

[00:01:53] I'm trying to thank you.

[00:01:56] We are coming to a close.

[00:01:58] The show is over.

[00:02:00] Do not come back next week because there will not be a new episode.

[00:02:03] Sorry to all our patrons.

[00:02:04] We finally made it to Pokemon Stadium 2.

[00:02:07] What have we been working towards?

[00:02:11] We knew we needed enough experience to tackle the majesty of Pokemon Stadium 2 for the Nintendo 64.

[00:02:17] And we finally reached it.

[00:02:18] Our magnum opus, our criminal, the crim has been achieved.

[00:02:22] Phillip, you've done a lot of note work in this one, like more than normal.

[00:02:27] With screenshots.

[00:02:28] Okay, so dear listeners home, we are recording this the night before release.

[00:02:33] Like this is supposed to go out in a couple hours at this point.

[00:02:37] Yeah.

[00:02:38] Like we have just been not be able to record.

[00:02:40] Every day I just have more time to hone the notes.

[00:02:43] This might be the new strategy.

[00:02:46] Like we might just forsake Patreon early access.

[00:02:49] This is what our quality is going to be.

[00:02:52] The notes.

[00:02:53] What sucks is because this game's we'll get into the game later, but let's just

[00:02:57] check in with what games we have been playing.

[00:02:59] And if you've already said that you've been playing nothing, you've been on a

[00:03:03] Twitter cleanse every.

[00:03:06] I don't know if this is normal.

[00:03:08] And normally I'm just like embracing the toxicity, but Twitter dialogue has

[00:03:12] been excessively bad lately.

[00:03:15] Like it feels like I don't know.

[00:03:18] Everyone's lost their goddamn mind and I just don't want anything to do

[00:03:22] with it anymore.

[00:03:23] Like this is the least amount we've been tweeting that I've been tweeting

[00:03:27] ever.

[00:03:28] Usually I tweet quite often.

[00:03:30] I'm just like kind of goofing around, like having fun.

[00:03:33] It's like it's just one thing after another thing after another thing,

[00:03:37] Philip.

[00:03:38] And it makes me angry.

[00:03:39] And also I'm playing the Evil Within or I was I played it on like

[00:03:43] Saturday or maybe Friday.

[00:03:45] I can't remember.

[00:03:46] And then I just haven't we're recording on Thursday.

[00:03:49] So it's like the whole week I played a little bit of sign our wild arts

[00:03:53] played a little Fortnite festival.

[00:03:55] You know, I'm just fucking off at this point.

[00:03:57] A little bit of Katamari, beautiful Katamari, just like trying to even out.

[00:04:01] We talked about both of us kind of hit like a loss point after we finished our

[00:04:05] last game.

[00:04:06] Like you finished Unicorn Overlord and you're saying like you weren't sure

[00:04:10] where to go after that.

[00:04:11] Yeah, I mean, that one was really well.

[00:04:13] It's like I hit like I beat like four games in one week.

[00:04:17] So I was just like, whoo, you know, I beat Red Dead Redemption 2,

[00:04:21] then one.

[00:04:22] And then I beat like I don't remember Vanquish.

[00:04:24] I just beat a bunch of gas.

[00:04:26] And then I went straight into Evil Within thinking that it was great.

[00:04:30] I mean, everyone's telling me it's great.

[00:04:32] And I just had nothing but woes with it.

[00:04:34] And I mean, it's no dark sector, of course, or what's the other one?

[00:04:38] Dark void.

[00:04:40] Dark void.

[00:04:41] That was not to mention the darkness.

[00:04:43] Yeah.

[00:04:44] The darkness is actually trash, though.

[00:04:46] That was a bad one.

[00:04:48] Wasn't I mean, yeah, it wasn't great.

[00:04:50] But anyway, Spectre, you're saying I don't want to derail us too far.

[00:04:53] Yeah, like you've someone listening is going to be mad.

[00:04:55] The darkness was the good one.

[00:04:57] The darkness was the good one.

[00:04:59] I'm not even sure that was a joke of the three of the three AA titles.

[00:05:05] The Dark Glaive Jetpack and Jackie Estacado like Jackie ones good.

[00:05:11] Oh, God.

[00:05:12] This is this might be off topic, I guess already.

[00:05:15] But I was at work and I was talking to a new guy that I signed in my office or

[00:05:18] whatever.

[00:05:19] And just making small talk, I barely said less than like 200 words to this guy.

[00:05:23] And I'm like, oh, you know what hobbies are you into?

[00:05:25] And I'm like, oh, do you golf?

[00:05:26] And he's like, no, I don't.

[00:05:27] The fishing video games on Game Pass.

[00:05:29] No cooperative.

[00:05:31] Well, for one, he's a PlayStation gamer.

[00:05:33] And I'm like, oh, so do you game?

[00:05:34] And he's like, oh, yeah, you know, I got a PlayStation or whatever.

[00:05:37] I'm like, oh, what are you gaming?

[00:05:38] You know, like, I love to talk to people about games.

[00:05:40] That's like all I do with my time is if like we talk about games

[00:05:44] in the suits like, yeah, I've been really get into the new Assassin's Creed.

[00:05:48] And I was like, oh, and he's like, yeah, just before that,

[00:05:51] I played Far Cry and I'm like, oh, no.

[00:05:53] And the Ubisoft games.

[00:05:56] Really? Yeah, that was one of the things that like the

[00:06:00] the new Assassin's Creed, that's a huge fucking controversy right now.

[00:06:03] Have you seen this?

[00:06:04] No. Well, is a racist or what?

[00:06:08] It depends on who you ask.

[00:06:10] It's set in Japan, but it's not so the there are two characters

[00:06:15] kind of like in the British one, the British one.

[00:06:19] I can't remember what it's called.

[00:06:20] Unity? Question mark.

[00:06:21] I don't remember.

[00:06:23] But there are two protagonists.

[00:06:24] One is a female ninja.

[00:06:28] And then the other one is a black samurai

[00:06:31] who is actually a human being.

[00:06:34] So, you know how they have like human beings in the games

[00:06:37] like Leonardo DiCaprio's in there and you know what I'm talking about?

[00:06:40] Yeah. Yeah.

[00:06:41] So he was a big figure or big.

[00:06:43] Yeah. He made a tank.

[00:06:45] You drove around a tank and did a tank mission.

[00:06:47] But in this one, your main character,

[00:06:50] the samurai guy is the first black samurai, like

[00:06:55] the actual one, like the guys.

[00:06:57] Sounds pretty cool.

[00:06:58] Well, this is the thing.

[00:06:59] Well, for one thing, which now I don't know, because now

[00:07:02] everyone's being super racist about it.

[00:07:04] So it's like either it's white if it's blackwashing

[00:07:08] Japanese people or it's like you hate this because it's black

[00:07:11] because one of the Assassin's Creed had a white guy in it,

[00:07:13] but they were in Spain or some shit.

[00:07:15] I don't fucking know. I hate these games.

[00:07:16] God, I hate these people.

[00:07:17] But so it oh fuck.

[00:07:21] What was I just saying? Oh, no.

[00:07:22] OK, so this is what I thought.

[00:07:24] I was under the impression that it was a misnomer

[00:07:26] that this guy was the first black samurai because I thought

[00:07:29] that he was a squire or something like not a squire,

[00:07:32] like whatever that is for samurais.

[00:07:34] Obviously, footmen or something.

[00:07:37] Well, like he was like a not a servant,

[00:07:39] but like he an assistant or something to a samurai.

[00:07:43] And so people thought he was a samurai, but he wasn't.

[00:07:46] But now in defense, because these people are fighting

[00:07:50] the actually these these horrible racist people on Twitter now

[00:07:53] that just don't want to see black people video games.

[00:07:54] I guess I don't know.

[00:07:55] And they're like they're saying, no, he was a samurai.

[00:07:59] That is a whitewashing of history.

[00:08:00] And I'm like, Japanese history has been whitewashed

[00:08:03] about the black guy that there was a samurai.

[00:08:05] What's going on?

[00:08:06] And so that's going on.

[00:08:09] And then meanwhile, there's a girl who got.

[00:08:12] Oh, God, I don't even know if we should keep this.

[00:08:15] There's a girl on Valorant.

[00:08:17] So already good start.

[00:08:19] Riot Games, very fucking positive environment to be in.

[00:08:22] And so she's in voice chat and a guy tells him he's going to

[00:08:25] he's going to rape her like really angrily.

[00:08:28] And so she goes, oh, and then all tabs and leaves the game.

[00:08:34] And she's like, I'm shaking, I'm shaking in my boots.

[00:08:37] She's obviously streaming like she's a streamer.

[00:08:39] And I'm like, OK, this is kind of performative, obviously.

[00:08:43] What he said, he shouldn't have said.

[00:08:44] But why didn't she mute him?

[00:08:45] That's kind of weird.

[00:08:46] You know, like you should if any.

[00:08:49] All right, games, you should mute all right away.

[00:08:51] Probably also having voice chat on when you're streaming

[00:08:55] is also probably a no go. It's crazy.

[00:08:58] Yeah. Well, I come to find out she did mute him

[00:09:01] at the beginning, like in the middle of the game,

[00:09:03] she muted him and she was talking to her chat.

[00:09:06] And she's like, wouldn't it be funny

[00:09:07] if I unmuted him for the content and the chat's like, yeah,

[00:09:09] I'm muted for the content.

[00:09:10] And so she unmutes them and then starts like provoking them or whatever.

[00:09:14] And then he says that.

[00:09:15] And she goes, oh, for the clip.

[00:09:18] And then that clip circulates and blows up and goes super viral

[00:09:21] and causes this fucking avalanche.

[00:09:23] But she unmuted him specifically to make him mad

[00:09:27] and to make him say wild shit at her.

[00:09:29] So does that make what does that mean?

[00:09:31] Like he still shouldn't have done it. Report him.

[00:09:35] But it's like.

[00:09:37] This is the this is what the Internet is.

[00:09:39] It makes me so upset.

[00:09:41] And so I had to walk away like I could so bad.

[00:09:44] I'm getting so bitter.

[00:09:46] All right. Listen, gamers, we're all gamers here.

[00:09:49] We all need to sit down.

[00:09:52] We are not a hard G.

[00:09:54] Gamer, hard G.

[00:09:55] Gamers are man.

[00:09:58] These these dialogues we're having on the Internet.

[00:10:01] We need to fucking slow down really, really hard.

[00:10:05] Like things go things are accelerating at a rapid pace.

[00:10:10] The power creep of Twitter conversation is accelerating way too fast.

[00:10:15] All right. Faster than I could comprehend, because I can no longer tell fiction

[00:10:19] from reality again. I'm back in that point.

[00:10:21] So I've got to just I got I tapped out.

[00:10:24] I started playing and I'm playing the evil within,

[00:10:25] which is making me even more bitter and miserable.

[00:10:29] Because everyone's telling me ever and I trust all these people like.

[00:10:35] Well, I can't all of a sudden I am blinking.

[00:10:36] But like a bunch of people are telling me, man, the evil within is great.

[00:10:39] And you're going to love to.

[00:10:40] But this first one, the aesthetic, it's fucking chef's kiss.

[00:10:43] I love the aesthetic of this game, but it is so.

[00:10:47] Not fun like there is nothing fun about it.

[00:10:50] Isn't a survival horror.

[00:10:52] Yeah, but that's the thing.

[00:10:53] Horror isn't fun.

[00:10:54] You can have survival horror games that OK.

[00:10:57] So this is this is what I would say, because I said this on stream

[00:11:00] or something along these lines.

[00:11:01] But Silent Hill 2 is also not fun, like really not fun.

[00:11:06] You could even argue that Resident Evil 1 is like not fun, but like

[00:11:11] Resident Evil 1 is really, really not fun.

[00:11:13] Actually, I've never actually beaten that game

[00:11:14] because I always get frustrated now.

[00:11:17] Resident Evil 2 or Silent Hill 2,

[00:11:19] they're not fun in a specific way that doesn't particularly

[00:11:23] get in your way as you're playing.

[00:11:26] Whereas when I'm playing the evil within, I am constantly dying

[00:11:30] because I'll get caught on something or because it has that bad jankiness

[00:11:36] to where like it's usually it's usually in like mid gen 360 games.

[00:11:40] But this is an early Xbox one era game, early PS4,

[00:11:43] where if it's a third person shooter, where if you aim

[00:11:46] and they're too close to you, they engulf the camera.

[00:11:49] And then as soon as they move, it fucking is impossible.

[00:11:52] So the moment someone's too close to you,

[00:11:54] you're never fucking getting a shot.

[00:11:55] Also, they incorporate the Resident Evil 4 thing

[00:11:58] where the enemies can tell that you're aiming at their head.

[00:12:00] So they'll dodge and duck.

[00:12:01] But I don't know how they fucked up the ratio because I didn't ever

[00:12:05] feel angry at that game every time I'd miss a shot because of that.

[00:12:08] I go, oh, fuck, you know.

[00:12:09] But in this game, I'll miss like sick.

[00:12:12] No shit.

[00:12:13] I will miss like six shots in a row because these guys are just fucking cold

[00:12:17] and calculated bastards, even though they're even more mindless

[00:12:20] than the Resident Evil 4 guys.

[00:12:22] Why don't maybe it's like a dead space situation

[00:12:25] where they're trying to like say, don't shoot them in the head.

[00:12:28] Maybe I need to like do a leg shot to make them flinch,

[00:12:30] then go over that shot.

[00:12:31] You can do some.

[00:12:33] You can do similar things like this, but this is a game where you cannot be

[00:12:36] wasting ammo and it incentivizes you to kill with headshots

[00:12:39] because you can upgrade the percentage that you're the you will one

[00:12:43] shot them with bullets to the head.

[00:12:45] So you only ever have like nine bullets ever.

[00:12:49] And so you you can't be wasting bullets on legs

[00:12:52] and your melee isn't worth a goddamn thing.

[00:12:54] You might as well not even be there.

[00:12:57] It's a trick.

[00:12:57] Isaac Clarke out there throwing hands.

[00:13:00] Yeah, happens.

[00:13:01] You literally do a fucking chop like fucking Buzz Lightyear.

[00:13:04] You know, his action button.

[00:13:06] Yeah, action.

[00:13:07] But what's really cool is like every now and then an enemy

[00:13:10] will drop a weapon and those weapons will one shot people.

[00:13:13] And that is cool. I like that.

[00:13:15] But I don't know, man.

[00:13:16] I fucking hate this game.

[00:13:18] I really the only fun time I've had, the only good time

[00:13:21] I've had in this game so far and I'm over halfway through

[00:13:25] is there's a part where you get in the back of a truck

[00:13:28] like Resident Evil five and as a minigun and you just mowed out

[00:13:31] like 100 of them.

[00:13:32] And I'm just like, this is just supposed to be like relief,

[00:13:35] like, oh, God, it feels good to kill all these guys.

[00:13:37] And then right away, you're just done.

[00:13:39] You're going in.

[00:13:39] You're right back into the into the frying pan or whatever.

[00:13:43] But I mean, it's cool.

[00:13:44] And I can understand why people like it.

[00:13:46] I think this game is that you should have been their game

[00:13:49] because when this game came out, I don't I think it was a drought

[00:13:52] of fucking survival horror.

[00:13:53] You know what I mean?

[00:13:54] I think this was this was after Resident Evil six.

[00:13:57] And it's fucking it's basically a Yakuza game,

[00:13:59] which is why I love that game so much.

[00:14:01] And it's like, I don't know, when I play Resident Evil two remake

[00:14:05] or when I play Resident Evil four or Dead Space is a great example as well.

[00:14:08] I never really feel frustrated ever.

[00:14:11] Meanwhile, in evil within, I am constantly frustrated

[00:14:14] like to and to the point where I'm just not speaking anymore.

[00:14:19] And you know me like that's like not where I need to be.

[00:14:22] Like I it's to the point where even if something cool happened,

[00:14:25] I wouldn't acknowledge it was cool because I'm so mad at the game.

[00:14:28] And I'm not even mad because I'm really dying

[00:14:31] because I don't die a whole lot.

[00:14:33] I do die from cheap shit sometimes, but I will just waste three sniper shots.

[00:14:37] And I have two left and I've only picked up five in the past 30 minutes.

[00:14:41] And I'm just like every sniper shot I miss because some random twitch

[00:14:45] and he like moves like a little bit.

[00:14:47] I'm just like, oh, OK, OK.

[00:14:49] I know in any other game I would have hit that shot.

[00:14:53] But in this one, I don't they just it's like when you play a Mortal Kombat game

[00:14:58] in the old like arcade cabinet ones and they literally are like he pressed

[00:15:03] high kick block high instantly in that frame.

[00:15:06] He pressed like I swear to God, it's the same way in this game.

[00:15:10] Like the A.I. is is going this is his inputs.

[00:15:13] This is what he's doing.

[00:15:14] And they literally counter you like it's so bizarre.

[00:15:18] And I understand it's supposed to add it's supposed to add like tension.

[00:15:23] But if you're dying like more than once in a section,

[00:15:27] then you already have lost all the tension. Right.

[00:15:30] I don't know. I got to stop talking about it. It's annoying.

[00:15:32] I know there is like a thing with like survival horror where it will just be like, hey,

[00:15:39] health items only appear if you're low health type deal.

[00:15:42] Yeah, this side does that.

[00:15:43] Yeah. Yeah. So it's like you never stockpile health.

[00:15:47] Yeah. If you have two green herbs, it's never giving you one again.

[00:15:51] So there's no reason why that you can upgrade your capacity.

[00:15:54] And I upgraded it before, but I never have more than two

[00:15:57] because I always just get ganked or I never find any.

[00:16:00] And I'm just like, why did I even do this?

[00:16:03] And it's the same with the pistol ammo.

[00:16:04] I upgraded the capacity once or twice and I never hit cap.

[00:16:08] And so I'm just like, I it was such a waste of money

[00:16:12] and or at least like brain juice in this game.

[00:16:14] Yeah. You have to give the brain juice.

[00:16:16] I started the game played like 30 minutes and I realized it was going to be a thing.

[00:16:21] It was going to be a chore to play.

[00:16:22] So I left and did OK.

[00:16:25] I can say this, though, because everyone going, oh, this game is brilliant.

[00:16:28] From the very beginning, they're wrong.

[00:16:29] The beginning of this game fucking sucks.

[00:16:32] Like I have tried to play this game like four times, three or four times.

[00:16:35] And I always quit within the first hour because it is painful. But

[00:16:40] after you get like an hour, 30 in and you get the shotgun,

[00:16:43] it's like like they start throwing more enemies at you.

[00:16:46] It's it's it's it's more bearable, but then it has that horseshoe.

[00:16:51] In the beginning, which that's the shitty part is like, I'm like,

[00:16:54] I can't do stealth in most games anymore.

[00:16:58] I just can't do it.

[00:16:59] Yeah, we've been we've been pampered.

[00:17:02] The good the weird thing is, is that it starts to plateau

[00:17:04] where like you it's like fun for a minute.

[00:17:07] And then it's like suddenly there's too many enemies and too little ammo.

[00:17:10] And then you're like, I have to stealth at the beginning of this place.

[00:17:13] I there's no I have to do it because I want to conserve ammo.

[00:17:17] Now I'm min maxing.

[00:17:18] But the more you min max, the less ammo they give you.

[00:17:21] So it's like it's never it's like there's a scale,

[00:17:25] but the scales always tipped against you.

[00:17:27] But the game is not fun enough to to necessitate that.

[00:17:31] The controls feel like you're driving a fucking Hummer.

[00:17:35] You know what I mean?

[00:17:36] A Hummer with a fucking revolver taped to the side.

[00:17:41] So stupid.

[00:17:42] Oh, well, that's evil within game is fine.

[00:17:46] Games I've been playing.

[00:17:46] I'm still playing Nino Cooney, too, for my Japanese challenge.

[00:17:50] I am flying through this game now, and it's gone a lot better.

[00:17:54] I was at like a stagnant point.

[00:17:55] I realized that was just because they hadn't.

[00:17:58] It was right before I got the airship is basically where I was at,

[00:18:02] where I'm like, oh, God, this sucks.

[00:18:04] I'm trudging through the desert.

[00:18:05] Did Sephiroth do this type stuff?

[00:18:08] And I'm like, God, this this game's dookie.

[00:18:10] And then they give me the airship and all of a sudden I'm like,

[00:18:13] flying around.

[00:18:14] Finally, what's his name?

[00:18:17] Craig, the guy that's in every Final Fantasy.

[00:18:20] That's the name.

[00:18:21] Said, yeah, Craig.

[00:18:24] But the game is really good now that I have the airship.

[00:18:27] Definitely a light recommendation as far as like language difficulty,

[00:18:31] because it does get a little difficult.

[00:18:33] But everything is like kingdom related.

[00:18:36] So if you happen to be big on fantasy vocabulary,

[00:18:40] which always has like kings and bullshit and like that, you'll be fine.

[00:18:46] The only thing that's weird is that there's a lot of,

[00:18:49] I think, fantasy, not fantasy, like European fantasy names on things.

[00:18:55] And then it makes me want to try to figure out

[00:18:56] like, I can't tell if the main character's name is Rorin

[00:18:59] or Roland or Ronald.

[00:19:01] Like it's that type of thing.

[00:19:03] Like it's something like that.

[00:19:04] But I can't understand how they're pronouncing it.

[00:19:06] And the katakana doesn't help.

[00:19:09] Great game, though.

[00:19:10] Maybe you should play it if you are ready for a meaty

[00:19:13] JRPG experience.

[00:19:15] I got to play the first one first.

[00:19:17] I got like they're not connected.

[00:19:18] They're not connected.

[00:19:20] Yeah, but the first one is much better.

[00:19:22] Is it because the first one's actually Studio Ghibli?

[00:19:26] OK, so it's the same art style.

[00:19:29] The second one, though, is like a full on action RPG

[00:19:32] gets rid of all the stupid Pokemon bullshit, which the first one,

[00:19:36] once I see that it is just like an up upgraded three

[00:19:39] DS game, I can see why they've made some choices the way they did.

[00:19:44] But the second one is it's it's real good.

[00:19:48] Good stuff.

[00:19:49] I'm probably not going to play them for a long time.

[00:19:52] That's fine.

[00:19:53] Next up.

[00:19:54] So a while back, I was like, oh, man,

[00:19:57] they finally added Delta, the emulation service or whatever

[00:20:01] to iOS, which will give you Nintendo 64,

[00:20:05] Nintendo DS, NES, Super NES.

[00:20:09] And if your Patreon subscriber,

[00:20:11] Sega Master System or whatever, right, or Genesis like cool.

[00:20:15] Yeah, I know.

[00:20:16] Like who's paying for Sega?

[00:20:18] Hey, all the N64. What are you doing?

[00:20:22] But anyways,

[00:20:24] after that, it was just like, when's the next big thing going to hit?

[00:20:28] Because now we got up like we got Nintendo systems up to

[00:20:31] the DS at this point.

[00:20:34] What's the next big hit?

[00:20:36] I'm waiting on PSP and retro arc,

[00:20:38] and they finally did it.

[00:20:39] PSP is now available on iPhones right from the app store.

[00:20:43] And so is retro arc,

[00:20:45] which the BSP emulator is BPSSPP or whatever.

[00:20:50] Plus, it's like he has

[00:20:54] the terrible title.

[00:20:55] It's just the cat noise.

[00:20:56] Yep.

[00:20:58] So you can play PSP games on Pispis or you can play it on retro arc.

[00:21:03] The core is supported on retro arc, which retro arc is, of course,

[00:21:06] the jack of all trades ultimate emulation front end.

[00:21:10] Real good stuff.

[00:21:11] This is big for iOS users, which 60 percent of our listeners are iOS.

[00:21:16] So, guys, if you don't want to be involved in modern gaming,

[00:21:20] you can go back and play some classics with some emulation.

[00:21:24] If you have any questions, message me and I will share some links

[00:21:28] where you can legally acquire everything you need.

[00:21:31] Or you can join Nave in the 360 era, the peak of gaming,

[00:21:35] the peak of gaming.

[00:21:36] I have Azure's wrath installed and I've been waiting to go back to it

[00:21:39] after I am Nino Cooney.

[00:21:42] That is another one that is on the list.

[00:21:44] Like I have three lists and that is on all three of them.

[00:21:47] So it is like that much more likely.

[00:21:49] It's so stupid.

[00:21:50] Like I just played the intro where you're fighting space whales

[00:21:53] and I'm like, God, this game.

[00:21:55] And you're God.

[00:21:57] The Japanese just they're built different, man.

[00:22:00] I love them so much.

[00:22:01] They say with the PSP stuff, I highly recommend you try

[00:22:05] Popolow Croix and tell me how it is,

[00:22:08] because I might have to spell that out for you.

[00:22:10] It sounds exactly how it's spelled.

[00:22:12] It's a French sounding word.

[00:22:13] But I remember that was my favorite game on the PSP,

[00:22:16] but I don't remember anything about it other than the cutscenes

[00:22:19] were looked really good on the PSP screen.

[00:22:23] Now, I'm looking at it as an animated cutscenes.

[00:22:25] It looks like there was a couple of Popolow Croix games.

[00:22:27] There was also one on PlayStation two

[00:22:30] and it just looks like a kind of cute JRPG.

[00:22:35] Yeah, it's great to jump into that right after Nino Cooney, too.

[00:22:39] That won't burn you out any.

[00:22:40] I know I make them even cuter.

[00:22:43] Now, this game looks pretty good.

[00:22:44] I'm always looking for,

[00:22:47] I don't know, more Japanese games to play because I'll never know

[00:22:50] what I'm actually going to understand or not.

[00:22:52] There's a couple of games that I'm looking at on PSP to like start.

[00:22:56] One is Fate Extra, which is a part of the Fate series.

[00:23:01] I don't know anything about the Fate series.

[00:23:03] I haven't seen any of the animes or read the visual novels

[00:23:05] or anything like that.

[00:23:07] But apparently it's pretty big.

[00:23:09] Are you in the fate? No.

[00:23:11] But dear listeners, now that if you own an iPhone,

[00:23:14] you have a massive catalog of games that you can play,

[00:23:17] which you previously did not have access to.

[00:23:20] So that wraps up that it goes right into our news updates.

[00:23:22] Nave, did you buy anything new that you'd like to share?

[00:23:26] There's this fucking cool looking ass game called Crow Country.

[00:23:29] It's kind of a country for crows.

[00:23:32] Weird word.

[00:23:33] And it does not look like how you think it looks at all.

[00:23:37] I saw a listener.

[00:23:40] This looks like a like a Nintendo 64 game almost.

[00:23:45] That is exactly why I bought it for full price.

[00:23:47] It just came out on the Xbox, at least.

[00:23:49] I'm pretty sure just came out on the PlayStation, too.

[00:23:52] But it looks like a PlayStation one Nintendo 64 game.

[00:23:54] And it is a survival horror game.

[00:23:56] And I bought it because I am hating on the evil within so bad

[00:24:01] I just want to look at this signal.

[00:24:06] Yeah, it looks like a tank controls.

[00:24:08] It looks like a Silent Hill game, kind of like not like a Silent Hill game.

[00:24:12] It looks like a man.

[00:24:14] It looks like a Nintendo 64 game called Quest 64.

[00:24:17] Have you ever heard of that?

[00:24:18] Yeah, I got that one downloaded.

[00:24:20] I've been meaning to try it like that's what the character models look like.

[00:24:24] But they're in a survival horror setting.

[00:24:26] So it looks like it's this like a kind of a

[00:24:29] you know, juxtaposition, I guess.

[00:24:31] I don't know. But it looks it looks neat.

[00:24:33] There's a cut scene that just says, should I call the police?

[00:24:36] It's just a dead body on the ground.

[00:24:38] This game actually looks really good.

[00:24:40] I love me some old Silent Hill one looking stuff.

[00:24:45] Yeah, this looks and everyone's saying it's pretty fucking good.

[00:24:48] Like on all these screenshots is like the review.

[00:24:51] It's great. And like in the highlight in the headline.

[00:24:53] OK, thank you.

[00:24:55] We talk about good stealth systems, the stealth and Silent Hill one

[00:24:58] when you just turn your flashlight off and walk

[00:25:01] as a way to avoid enemies.

[00:25:03] Prime sells.

[00:25:04] That's exactly how you do it in signal.

[00:25:07] Yeah, same thing.

[00:25:08] Like it's like as long as you don't go up and kiss their fucking

[00:25:11] their fucking elbow

[00:25:13] and walk over there covered in static in the corner screaming.

[00:25:18] Yeah. Or like some you can get pretty close to him,

[00:25:20] but sometimes you think you're close enough and then they go

[00:25:23] and I'm like, oh, God, no.

[00:25:24] Because if you're close enough that they see you,

[00:25:27] they could swipe you real quick.

[00:25:28] And you're like, man, I cut it close.

[00:25:31] A lot of people get mad at signal because it has like the six people

[00:25:35] the six inventory thing.

[00:25:36] But it's fine as long as you don't carry any ammo or health items.

[00:25:41] So you just only run away.

[00:25:43] It's basically once you come down to it, like, OK, this is a speed run.

[00:25:46] Like I like I'm going to carry the least amount I can just so I can carry

[00:25:49] the most when I'm scavenging.

[00:25:52] Just start saving all the time.

[00:25:53] There's no eagrebons, man.

[00:25:54] You can just fucking save every that's what I do.

[00:25:56] I had to be like a suicide suicide run time.

[00:26:00] There's stuff in this room far over there.

[00:26:02] I'm going to sprint over there and take a look.

[00:26:03] And I run into the room

[00:26:05] and just scream as like everything instantly spots me.

[00:26:07] Like, of course, I never use the flashlight unless I have to.

[00:26:10] And meanwhile, in the real world, you're looking in the save room

[00:26:13] and the chick from signal is like her head's moving around

[00:26:16] like Doctor Strange at the end of that Avengers movie

[00:26:19] where he's looking at all the different

[00:26:21] he's looking at all the different timelines.

[00:26:24] So good.

[00:26:25] The crow country looks good.

[00:26:26] I like if you stream that one, let me know and I'll watch you for a little bit.

[00:26:30] I bought an extension cord for my it's so funny.

[00:26:33] I bought this extension USB thing so I could move my camera over there.

[00:26:37] Now I realize that I have to fucking move my camera back over here,

[00:26:41] which is annoying.

[00:26:42] So that's going to probably limit that.

[00:26:43] But I was like, man, you know, I got to move it every

[00:26:46] you know, makes me fucking mad.

[00:26:48] But I move my router all the way up and down stairs.

[00:26:53] Just put in a better spot.

[00:26:55] God damn it.

[00:26:57] Oh, my God.

[00:26:58] All right. The dude.

[00:26:59] So I got the camera and I played one sitting of evil

[00:27:04] and then I burned out on everything.

[00:27:06] So I bought this thing and I was so excited for it.

[00:27:09] And then I was like, oh, fuck, I'm pissed off.

[00:27:11] I don't want to do anything.

[00:27:13] But yeah, go over the stream.

[00:27:15] I'm streaming a lot.

[00:27:16] I've been streaming a lot lately.

[00:27:18] Not this week, but last week.

[00:27:20] Don't worry. He never checks the chat, though, whenever I go in and.

[00:27:23] I'm getting better.

[00:27:23] So here's the thing, because I have the camera, I want it close to me.

[00:27:27] So I just opened my my Chromebook and set it in front of me.

[00:27:31] And since I have the Chromebook open in front of me, I'm like,

[00:27:33] well, I might as well pull up the Twitch chat.

[00:27:34] And so now I have the Twitch chat in front of me, too.

[00:27:37] So I was like actually conversing with Alejandro from random gamers.

[00:27:40] He hopped in the stream every now and then.

[00:27:42] And usually Melissa's listening or usually Melissa's watching the stream

[00:27:47] as she's in the party chat and she's just like, hey, someone's in the chat.

[00:27:50] And I was like, oh, fuck.

[00:27:52] You have basically my mind.

[00:27:53] And so I'm like, I'm like, OK, but now I'm like actively like

[00:27:56] I keep looking down because it's right there.

[00:27:59] It's super convenient.

[00:28:00] Almost like that's how most streamers do it anyway.

[00:28:02] Second monitors in this guy discovered streaming.

[00:28:05] Next thing you know, you heard of stream labs.

[00:28:09] Yeah, which is another funny thing.

[00:28:11] OK, so I've been adding just slowly adding random of my random Twitch clips

[00:28:16] to our YouTube as shorts.

[00:28:18] Yeah, because you can just do that.

[00:28:20] It just lets you upload straight from Twitch to shorts

[00:28:22] as long as you link the accounts.

[00:28:23] And I've realized that people will randomly join my stream

[00:28:27] and just click me all the time, which is scary,

[00:28:31] because sometimes I'm saying come fucking crooked way out of context shit.

[00:28:35] And so sometimes I don't, you know, none of the clips

[00:28:38] have anything like that in there. Thank God yet. But um.

[00:28:42] There was somebody who joined when I was playing Final Fantasy 10

[00:28:45] and there was like 40 different clips of seemingly random shit.

[00:28:50] Like he just flooded my clips with a bunch of part of it.

[00:28:53] Then I'll just be standing around talking and I won't be playing

[00:28:56] the game at all. Just talking about something.

[00:28:58] And they can only hear half the conversation

[00:29:00] because they can't hear the Xbox party

[00:29:02] because they don't have to fucking switch flip.

[00:29:05] It's so twitch is a is a it's an enigma.

[00:29:08] Weird place.

[00:29:09] Yeah, it feels so weird to like read the chat and be like,

[00:29:14] do I read it out loud?

[00:29:15] I've already read it and processed it.

[00:29:18] I guess I'll read it out loud.

[00:29:19] No, I won't. Like I'm I'm just so weird about it.

[00:29:22] You know what I mean?

[00:29:23] Because it feels weird to read the chat out loud

[00:29:26] and then start replying to it.

[00:29:29] I'm not I just it's not a natural thing for me.

[00:29:33] I don't want to watch that Doug Doug thing of how to be a streamer.

[00:29:37] That's a good fucking video.

[00:29:39] Dude, I've been watching a lot of Doug.

[00:29:40] I just been rewatching Doug Doug, actually.

[00:29:42] I've had a lot of free time.

[00:29:43] I mean, guy, I cleaned my apartment.

[00:29:45] I've been watching a lot of different things.

[00:29:48] Really, just YouTube.

[00:29:49] I got YouTube premium because they gave it for Game Pass.

[00:29:51] If you're listening, it's the 20th.

[00:29:54] It's in a couple of days, guys.

[00:29:55] You got to fucking on the 20th.

[00:29:57] They're going to stop giving away three months of premium YouTube.

[00:30:00] Go fucking redeem it right now.

[00:30:02] Please, from Game Pass, I went ahead and redeemed that shit.

[00:30:06] And it's fine.

[00:30:08] Yeah, if you want to be always.

[00:30:10] Oh, God, we need to.

[00:30:12] It's just the ads. There's no ads.

[00:30:14] Amazing. That's the best part.

[00:30:16] But you can do all kinds of random shit like I can turn my phone off now.

[00:30:19] I'll listen to video.

[00:30:20] I don't know why I would do that.

[00:30:21] I mean, I listen to like, I don't know.

[00:30:23] It doesn't fucking matter.

[00:30:24] No, I've actually listened to audiobooks that way.

[00:30:26] Back whenever I did have YouTube premium

[00:30:28] when they gave us like a free month with Amazon or something like that.

[00:30:31] Does Apple have this Apple music do the I they got to have like

[00:30:35] pod because they have podcasts.

[00:30:37] I bet they have like Apple audiobooks, right?

[00:30:40] Spotify doesn't know.

[00:30:42] I usually modify has if you look, someone has uploaded it to YouTube

[00:30:46] if you're looking for an audiobook.

[00:30:47] And then I usually just take that YouTube link.

[00:30:50] There's a website.

[00:30:51] I don't know what it's called, but it turns YouTube videos

[00:30:53] into a podcast feed, and then I then share the link

[00:30:58] to my podcast catcher, which is just like I think it's called like pod catcher.

[00:31:02] And then I use that RSS feed to download the episodes.

[00:31:07] I do.

[00:31:07] I had a great idea in the shower the other day.

[00:31:10] All right.

[00:31:10] Now, what is this out if it's too good of an idea

[00:31:14] so that no one steals it because I don't know when we're going

[00:31:16] to be able to pull this off.

[00:31:18] Yeah, I'm definitely going to cut that.

[00:31:19] Welcome back, listener.

[00:31:21] Speaking of art, patron supporters here are gaming together.

[00:31:41] Thank you for your support.

[00:31:42] Also give us some give us some ratings.

[00:31:46] No one stars. I'll find you.

[00:31:48] We have more ratings, but what none of them are.

[00:31:51] None of them are reviews, but we do have more ratings.

[00:31:54] Our show officially has 40 ratings on Spotify.

[00:31:59] We have not gone up.

[00:32:00] We're still four point six.

[00:32:01] Somebody hates us more than one people hates us.

[00:32:04] And then we also I think we have one or two more on Apple.

[00:32:07] Look at us. Yeah, we're doing better over there on Apple.

[00:32:11] Oh, like our stats are completely bungled because

[00:32:14] we've been bought it like three different times where some some bought in.

[00:32:18] India has downloaded our whole catalog three different times.

[00:32:22] Is it always in India?

[00:32:23] Do we get bought it again?

[00:32:25] Oh, no, I think there's been like three in the last like two months

[00:32:28] or something like that, which I mean, it's great for our numbers.

[00:32:31] But you know, we can't do anything with that information.

[00:32:33] Yeah. So now it's time to move on to the am I the asshole section time

[00:32:37] to go online to assist gamers in need and let them know

[00:32:40] if they're in fact assholes or not.

[00:32:42] Nave, I found an incredible one that I can just not resist.

[00:32:45] All right. Do you want me to read it then?

[00:32:48] No, you're going to read yours.

[00:32:49] I'm going to read this one.

[00:32:51] This is the one I did.

[00:32:51] Oh, you were just like fucking ready.

[00:32:53] That's what I get.

[00:32:54] All right. This is from John Saru, which is a main account.

[00:32:58] And this is from four years ago, he says, this is a really long title.

[00:33:02] Yeah. Am I the butt face for creating negative energy in quotes

[00:33:06] by building a portcullis over the entrance to my room in case

[00:33:10] we were burgled, which physically attracted,

[00:33:14] in quotes, a burglar who burgled us.

[00:33:16] My friends are wiccans.

[00:33:18] Wait.

[00:33:19] Hmm. What is that?

[00:33:20] What is that word?

[00:33:22] What is this?

[00:33:23] No port.

[00:33:25] Or what do you, Jan?

[00:33:27] Is that a booby trap?

[00:33:28] No. OK, so, you know, are you going to pretend that this is

[00:33:31] fucking common knowledge and I bet no one fucking knows?

[00:33:34] OK, what do you mean?

[00:33:35] Like in castles, OK?

[00:33:37] So you have the big door that comes down that's usually like crossbars

[00:33:41] and just, you know, slams down shut.

[00:33:43] That's the gate.

[00:33:45] No, the gate is behind the portcullis.

[00:33:48] So it's like the screen door of the gate.

[00:33:50] It's the screen door of the castle gate.

[00:33:54] How did he build?

[00:33:56] He gets into it.

[00:33:57] So, OK, serious, he says that he says

[00:34:01] so serious with a little green highlighter.

[00:34:05] The title covers it, but keep reading if it interests you.

[00:34:09] It does, Mr. John Saroo.

[00:34:12] Because I lived in a poor, frequently burgled area,

[00:34:15] I wanted to keep safe the most precious thing I owned my gaming PC.

[00:34:20] So I built a metal reinforced wooden portcullis

[00:34:23] that I could slide out across the entrance to my room and padlock.

[00:34:27] When I went out, my room was a loft space up a ladder.

[00:34:31] So he already has a high ground.

[00:34:33] Yeah. He has to go up a ladder to get to his room.

[00:34:37] Yeah. And you put a portcullis at the bottom of the ladder.

[00:34:40] So this is just this is just a fucking gate.

[00:34:44] Like all buildings have this.

[00:34:47] No. OK.

[00:34:47] So you might be thinking of like, you know, outside the liquor stores,

[00:34:50] they have like iron bars over the windows and stuff like that.

[00:34:53] No. See, I was going to bring that up, too.

[00:34:54] But if it's in front of the ladder, then buildings just have this

[00:34:58] to keep people from climbing on top of the building.

[00:35:00] Oh, those.

[00:35:01] No, no, but he built an actual like a hallway.

[00:35:05] Like, like this is fucking Dungeons 4.

[00:35:08] Yeah. Like spiked traps and shit.

[00:35:11] Yeah. Like and there's a little hole in the ceiling

[00:35:13] where you can pour boiling oil on intruders

[00:35:16] when they're trying to break in.

[00:35:18] All right. What is that called?

[00:35:20] The boiling oil thing?

[00:35:22] Yeah, I don't.

[00:35:23] Oh, no, there is a word for that.

[00:35:26] Yeah. What is it?

[00:35:27] Because I think in specifically Bannerlord 2,

[00:35:32] you can buy this is like an upgrade for your whole wall castle.

[00:35:39] Oh, I found it exactly what I wanted.

[00:35:41] That's how you Google motherfuckers.

[00:35:43] It's a OK. Hold on.

[00:35:44] This is a I'm stalling for time.

[00:35:46] A Mac, a Mac, a collation, a Mac, a Mac, a collation.

[00:35:51] Nice.

[00:35:52] Maki, cool loose and French.

[00:35:55] A floor opening between the support corbels of a battle meant

[00:35:58] was a battle meant

[00:36:00] slot or time slot to find out.

[00:36:02] OK. Yeah, it's what I described.

[00:36:05] It's the hole where they drop oil.

[00:36:07] All right. Back in back in the lore.

[00:36:09] Then we were burgled.

[00:36:11] They had shifted the pork

[00:36:15] colas up a couple inches, but they haven't been able to get a crowbar

[00:36:18] under the padlock in my PC was safe.

[00:36:21] They took a camera and my housemates laptop.

[00:36:23] They did not shit in the beds because they were gentlemanly

[00:36:26] non bedshitting burglars like Eric Bristow boasted of being.

[00:36:31] If you're familiar with his work, I don't think it was him.

[00:36:35] They got in through a tiny window.

[00:36:36] I don't know who Eric Bristow is.

[00:36:37] I don't think it's relevant. Hopefully.

[00:36:40] Hold on. I'm looking it up.

[00:36:42] All right. Professional.

[00:36:44] Professional picture.

[00:36:46] So he's a nicknamed the Crafty Cockney was an English

[00:36:50] professional darts player, one of the most recognizable successful players.

[00:36:54] He is ranked number one in the way.

[00:36:55] Hold on. Bed.

[00:36:57] Shitting.

[00:37:01] This is the first.

[00:37:02] The first thing is this fucking.

[00:37:04] Am I the asshole?

[00:37:06] What? I don't know.

[00:37:08] Oh, wait, shitting the bed.

[00:37:09] What did he fucking lose?

[00:37:10] That's a fucking saying.

[00:37:12] He probably lost a tournament or something.

[00:37:14] Bedshitting. Yeah, I get it.

[00:37:16] This guy is roasting.

[00:37:19] My Wiccan friend who at this point no longer even lived with me

[00:37:22] insisted that it was entirely my fault for building the porcolous.

[00:37:26] The porcolous is not visible from outside the house,

[00:37:29] but she claimed that I had imagined a burglar so hard

[00:37:33] that I had made someone burgle me, which to me poses

[00:37:37] an interesting on on to ontological questions.

[00:37:41] Did they exist before I imagined them or were they an ordinary

[00:37:45] non thieving person driven mad by my reckless psychic energy?

[00:37:49] And how come all the fat bottom romantic interests

[00:37:52] I have imagined over the years never broke into my house to

[00:37:56] can I only create evil with my psychic powers or was the bathroom window

[00:37:59] too tiny for their comically oversized bottoms?

[00:38:04] So this is the Wiccans are talking about

[00:38:07] manifestation, so they're saying he manifested

[00:38:11] the energy required to bring the burglars to the home.

[00:38:15] Any Wiccans wanting to chime in would be magical.

[00:38:18] I kind of think the burglar is more to blame than me.

[00:38:21] Does that make me intolerant of the Wiccan religion?

[00:38:25] I just found out about this up, so you can expect a load of mad shit

[00:38:28] for me because I've been wanting to put it on a my the asshole

[00:38:30] for over the years, but I can't because of their criteria,

[00:38:33] including the times I have fallen out with my religious friends

[00:38:36] and I am seeking vindication.

[00:38:38] This entertains you. It's a bonus.

[00:38:40] I put the serious flare because it did happen,

[00:38:42] although this could be well theoretical as we are counting fairies

[00:38:46] on the head of a pin here.

[00:38:47] People T.D.L.R. Wiccans be crazy edit

[00:38:51] added a drawing of the porco list and a photo.

[00:38:57] Oh, and then he.

[00:38:58] Oh, my photo is a highlight.

[00:38:59] You can look at it.

[00:39:01] Oh, God.

[00:39:03] It's so even the even the drawing is blurry wall floor.

[00:39:09] Oh, so yeah, there's a picture of the top of the ladder.

[00:39:13] And that's not bad.

[00:39:16] God.

[00:39:18] This guy was living like a mad man.

[00:39:20] He's he has like carpet that he's cut to this

[00:39:25] and his ladder is like homemade to.

[00:39:28] And.

[00:39:29] Oh, man, this is this thing is he maybe he did manifest this burglar, man.

[00:39:35] I don't know.

[00:39:36] This looks like cursed in some way.

[00:39:39] It's weird that you could always be like, just take the ladder down

[00:39:43] when you leave or something like that.

[00:39:46] Yeah, like or close the trap door on the ladder up.

[00:39:50] Yeah.

[00:39:51] So.

[00:39:55] I don't know.

[00:39:57] I can get I got a lot of information about his personality

[00:40:00] just from his socks here, dude.

[00:40:03] He's got some colorful socks and chama pants.

[00:40:06] Almost want this to just be the art for the episode.

[00:40:08] This picture is so good,

[00:40:12] but it's too much.

[00:40:13] That's too much information.

[00:40:15] All right. Coming back to it.

[00:40:18] First off, we are getting into religion in this.

[00:40:24] Nave. Well, he had to.

[00:40:26] I don't know. Oh, yeah.

[00:40:26] I mean, at a two.

[00:40:27] This has been fun.

[00:40:28] So many sane wiccans.

[00:40:30] I think I just hung around with the wrong ones,

[00:40:32] although they did have other fine quality as well as such as judgy magic madness.

[00:40:37] OK, before we get to wiccanism,

[00:40:41] Nave, how do you feel about manifestation?

[00:40:45] I believe to a degree it exists.

[00:40:48] But OK, I don't think you can manifest

[00:40:51] fucking thieves out of thin air.

[00:40:54] Like I think that it's like the fake until until you make it

[00:40:58] think like I think you can manifest good vibes.

[00:41:02] No, that's you can change more about changing yourself.

[00:41:05] This is about manifesting things in the outside world.

[00:41:07] You're saying if I'm playing Skyrim and I'm like,

[00:41:09] oh, I bet I'm going to get robbed when I walk down this road

[00:41:11] by some random bandit in glass armor.

[00:41:14] And then you walk down the road and sure enough, you get robbed.

[00:41:17] Well, that's that's just, you know, in the patterns you've understood.

[00:41:21] This happens every time you play Skyrim. Yeah.

[00:41:25] So I don't know.

[00:41:26] I don't think I don't think real like actual manifestation.

[00:41:29] I don't think you can manifest money, you know what I mean?

[00:41:32] Or like winning the lottery.

[00:41:33] I don't think you can manifest that because that's usually how people

[00:41:36] think about it for a lot of people that believe that

[00:41:40] a lot of winning lotto ticket.

[00:41:42] Oh, maybe that's the problem is I just don't believe enough.

[00:41:45] You know, I did a I take, you know, I'm working on my degree or whatever.

[00:41:49] And I did a social statistics class in my final project

[00:41:54] for the whole, you know, eight weeks or whatever was about

[00:41:58] happiness and religion.

[00:42:00] And statistically, there is a correlation

[00:42:03] that religious people are more happy than non religious people.

[00:42:08] Yeah, I bet.

[00:42:09] I'm pretty are you religious, Phil?

[00:42:12] Because you seem pretty happy and I'm not religious

[00:42:14] and I'm very unhappy.

[00:42:16] I would say I'm not religious.

[00:42:18] OK, but I think I'm pretty happy.

[00:42:22] Now we just debunked it right there.

[00:42:24] No, my God, no, just because you're an outlier or whatever, or, you know,

[00:42:29] go back to this.

[00:42:30] These Wiccan people,

[00:42:32] you think they're happier believing that they can manifest things like this

[00:42:36] and other people are manifesting things?

[00:42:39] Because this guy seems happy to call out his friends,

[00:42:43] be like, you dumb bitch.

[00:42:44] Of course, you are.

[00:42:46] How dare you play in your retirement?

[00:42:48] You're just asking for, you know, the the housing market,

[00:42:51] the crash as all your money is invested in real estate forever.

[00:42:56] Did he say he wasn't religious?

[00:42:58] I think it's assumed he's not Wiccan.

[00:43:03] I know he's using some harsh quotes.

[00:43:05] He's saying like negative energy, like negative energy isn't a real thing.

[00:43:11] Well, do Christians believe negative energy is a real thing?

[00:43:14] I don't know. I don't I don't know.

[00:43:16] I don't think so. Doctoring.

[00:43:18] Because I feel like if I said that, because that sounds like something

[00:43:21] I would say, like you're fucking harsh in the vibes, man.

[00:43:25] Like the vibe that we're immaculate.

[00:43:26] And now they're harsh in the vibes of you locked your door.

[00:43:30] No, but now you've made us more secure.

[00:43:34] I feel more at I feel more comfortable.

[00:43:37] You're pumping the vibes up now that we're together.

[00:43:40] Plus three vibe check.

[00:43:42] All right. But yeah, I picked this one mostly just thought it was funny.

[00:43:46] I don't think there's much to weigh in on this besides.

[00:43:49] No, he's not an asshole for building the portcullis.

[00:43:52] It is a bit insane that he built. Yeah.

[00:43:55] Yeah. Like this is looking at the picture to like this is a funny dude.

[00:44:02] It probably took a lot of work

[00:44:04] because it looks just like a it looks just like a game to

[00:44:09] He built the ladder to know.

[00:44:11] Well, I assume look at the ladder.

[00:44:13] That is not a ladder that came with the house.

[00:44:16] Yeah, this dude lives in the attic.

[00:44:17] If you haven't, I'm assuming we're putting these in the fuck

[00:44:19] these pictures in the in the fucking description or something. But.

[00:44:25] Man, he lives in the attic.

[00:44:26] So I don't know why, but I was imagining him

[00:44:29] his ladder being on the outside of the house.

[00:44:32] Oh, yeah, because that's where I would think a ladder was.

[00:44:35] You know what I mean?

[00:44:36] Like, I thought that there was a ladder going up into the house

[00:44:40] like onto a porch where he went into his room for some reason.

[00:44:44] And there was no other way in.

[00:44:46] You know, it sounds like a stupid oblivion houses

[00:44:50] like why is there a door on the roof?

[00:44:54] Oh, yeah, I'm a fucking moron.

[00:44:56] He's he did some responses like he describes in detail

[00:45:01] how he built the portcullis.

[00:45:02] I don't think we need to go into that.

[00:45:05] He says he hasn't decorated his house in a decade,

[00:45:08] which explains the like the photo in the car.

[00:45:10] Arbitrates. Yeah.

[00:45:12] Oh, man, the carpet is a holy shit.

[00:45:17] Yeah, I don't know.

[00:45:18] I mean, this guy's not an asshole.

[00:45:19] This is no I mean, is Wigginfrens an asshole

[00:45:22] for trying to explain vibes to him?

[00:45:26] I don't I think they're fine, too.

[00:45:27] They they're just showing them as they're telling their perspective.

[00:45:30] I mean, if they were like aggressive about it, then maybe

[00:45:33] they'd be a little judgy.

[00:45:35] But I don't know.

[00:45:37] All right.

[00:45:39] Do you have one you like to share?

[00:45:41] Let me see.

[00:45:43] Let's go over forty two.

[00:45:45] Forty two. All right.

[00:45:46] Yeah. Answer to the universe or whatever.

[00:45:49] Oh, shit.

[00:45:50] What's going on in this one?

[00:45:53] No, it's not big.

[00:45:54] It's big in a way.

[00:45:56] I'm seeing where this one.

[00:45:57] Yeah, OK.

[00:45:58] Yeah, I remember this is an old one.

[00:46:01] It is an old one. Yes.

[00:46:04] And the account has been suspended, the one that we're looking at from

[00:46:07] Abuser HS 7162.

[00:46:12] I wonder what this guy got.

[00:46:15] I wonder what this guy got suspended for, but Reddit

[00:46:17] said he's not the asshole in this situation.

[00:46:19] We'll see. We'll see.

[00:46:21] So a lot of conflicting messages we've got going on here.

[00:46:24] Am I the asshole for not throwing out my, quote, racist collection?

[00:46:30] After my girlfriend demanded me to.

[00:46:32] Now, these two people are 24.

[00:46:36] Says I collected and make plastic models of various war machines

[00:46:40] and keep it in one of my rooms.

[00:46:43] It's a hobby for me.

[00:46:44] And I've been doing this since I was 18.

[00:46:47] My girlfriend of nine months recently demanded I throw out half of them

[00:46:51] because she thinks they're racist and fascist.

[00:46:55] I wonder what country they're from.

[00:46:57] I have around 40 tanks and plane models

[00:47:00] from various and planes models from various countries of the world,

[00:47:05] like the Soviet Union, USA, Israel, Germany.

[00:47:08] And she demanded that I throw out all the German, Japanese and Israeli ones.

[00:47:14] I really don't have any political motivation behind these models.

[00:47:17] By the way, this is two years ago.

[00:47:19] So this is like this is how do the fucking it's so fucking funny.

[00:47:23] I don't never mind. I'm not getting into it. OK.

[00:47:26] So I don't have any political motivation behind these models.

[00:47:29] I have I keep them as a hobby, but at but there is a cultural

[00:47:34] difference between me and my girlfriend.

[00:47:37] So maybe it's not acceptable.

[00:47:40] Oh, no. Oh, no. It's my defense.

[00:47:44] I am a Japanese guy and she is an American woman.

[00:47:47] And I heard American is really serious about racial stuff.

[00:47:53] Oh, this guy is Japanese then.

[00:47:55] Oh, he's Japanese. Japanese. Yeah.

[00:47:58] I tried to tell her that Michael that it's my collection.

[00:48:02] I work hard. Why is it suddenly getting as soon as he reveals

[00:48:05] these Japanese grammar suddenly gets way worse.

[00:48:08] Like, OK, I try to tell her that it's my collection.

[00:48:12] I work hard on and I just like planes and tank appearances,

[00:48:16] tanks, appearances and not the politics behind them.

[00:48:20] But she says she doesn't want a racist boyfriend

[00:48:23] and she will break up with me if I don't throw them away.

[00:48:27] These people are 24.

[00:48:30] All right. We had a long talk about this stuff for like three hours

[00:48:34] and I am still not going to throw it away.

[00:48:36] So she get angry and left my house early.

[00:48:41] I love her, but I don't think I'm willing to throw away

[00:48:44] something I worked so hard on for years.

[00:48:47] But at the same time, I am not sure how acceptable these kind of model

[00:48:51] tank and planes are.

[00:48:53] I am wondering how acceptable these things are internationally

[00:48:57] and if she was in the right. Am I the asshole?

[00:49:00] Edit. Oh, dude, is that it?

[00:49:05] Edit. I talked to her on the phone about it to try and make a compromise,

[00:49:09] but she doubled down and said, I have to paint the models completely orange,

[00:49:14] even the ones that she did not have a problem with.

[00:49:17] I obviously refused.

[00:49:19] And now she's really mad and saying, I don't love her

[00:49:23] and accusing me of cheating.

[00:49:26] I'm honestly about to break up.

[00:49:28] He is cheating on her country, keeping those damn German tanks.

[00:49:33] There is a second edit.

[00:49:36] Edit number two.

[00:49:38] She destroyed them.

[00:49:39] Oh, no, it's over.

[00:49:42] It's never been more over.

[00:49:47] Well, wait, so they don't have a breakup, though.

[00:49:50] I mean, yeah, she took matters into her own hands.

[00:49:52] Yes, like the Americans did in World War Two.

[00:49:55] Oh, no. OK.

[00:49:56] So he doesn't have like a

[00:50:00] well, first off, this is real.

[00:50:04] Do you think this is a real thing?

[00:50:06] This is OK. So this is subtle. All right.

[00:50:10] I think I pointed this out earlier.

[00:50:12] The moment he says I am Japanese,

[00:50:15] the grammar immediately goes off the fucking rails.

[00:50:18] But the grammar was good at the beginning.

[00:50:20] But suddenly he kept not making words plural

[00:50:24] when they should be or making them poor when they aren't supposed to be. And.

[00:50:29] That is a small little thing that I'm like, maybe

[00:50:32] that's pushing me towards fake.

[00:50:34] Yeah, like he tried to make like, oh, sorry.

[00:50:37] Ingrish is my second language type deal. Yeah.

[00:50:42] Yeah, so the thing that gets me is the edit number two.

[00:50:46] She destroyed them.

[00:50:48] Feel.

[00:50:53] Well, funny.

[00:50:54] It makes this just feels like a joke, like it is.

[00:50:58] It's defeat.

[00:50:59] It really is better luck next time.

[00:51:03] Which is funny because there's not even a period.

[00:51:05] It's just she destroyed them and no contact after that.

[00:51:11] I'm looking to see if.

[00:51:13] He did any comments,

[00:51:17] because that's the other thing is like if they don't do comments, then odds are.

[00:51:21] I don't know.

[00:51:25] All right. Oh, God, what is that?

[00:51:27] I saw something that wasn't great.

[00:51:30] There's just the word Nazis being used so many times that it doesn't

[00:51:33] look like a real word anymore.

[00:51:36] I'm scrolling down these fucking comments.

[00:51:39] Yeah, these comments on great.

[00:51:41] So if we go back and we assume this is real,

[00:51:44] is it racist to make models of fascist nations that were racist?

[00:51:51] What?

[00:51:53] Like, is it what to do?

[00:51:54] What is it racist to make models

[00:51:58] based on nations that were in fact fascist and racist?

[00:52:04] OK.

[00:52:06] It depends because if OK,

[00:52:10] so imagine you walked into JP's house

[00:52:13] and he had a bunch of model tanks and it was really cool.

[00:52:16] But upon further inspection, they were all Nazi tanks

[00:52:19] and it was just Nazi tanks everywhere.

[00:52:22] And there were no any other tanks.

[00:52:24] I think I could actually give that a pass.

[00:52:27] Be like, he's just interested in Nazi tanks.

[00:52:30] But here's where I think I think it could be too much is if I then walked

[00:52:35] into the next room and he had a maquette set up of a Auschwitz model

[00:52:40] or something like that.

[00:52:42] I'm like, all right, guys, if you're not related to some kind of historical

[00:52:46] society or a museum,

[00:52:50] there is a limit on how many racist models you can have in your house.

[00:52:55] And then he comes to you and he's like, actually, I'm in college right now.

[00:52:57] And my whole entire thesis is about World War Two Germany.

[00:53:01] I am a I'm a historic major.

[00:53:03] Yeah. History connection.

[00:53:05] No good. If you're like, no, I'm just an enthusiast.

[00:53:07] And then I'm like, hold on.

[00:53:09] But then you go into his kitchen and it's newly remodeled.

[00:53:12] And there are swastikas everywhere.

[00:53:15] OK, wait a minute.

[00:53:17] I don't know if this is good enough.

[00:53:20] Then it goes too far, obviously, in one direction.

[00:53:23] If you just keep pushing it.

[00:53:25] The thing is that he had a bunch of different kinds of models.

[00:53:28] Right. So he clearly just liked the thing.

[00:53:30] It's like if you are you racist, if you only play the German takes

[00:53:33] a war in a world of tanks, because no,

[00:53:37] because the German tanks are fucking awesome.

[00:53:40] Like that's just going to hits, bro. Yeah.

[00:53:42] I love the German tanks.

[00:53:45] But I don't know.

[00:53:47] This is just it does seem very silly.

[00:53:49] But I do understand that these people are still pretty young.

[00:53:52] And I can believe

[00:53:55] that a chick that just has especially an American woman

[00:53:59] just had who has no fucking idea what the world is

[00:54:02] to see like just the Nazi tanks and be like, oh, shit, I'm out.

[00:54:07] I got to go, even though he's Japanese.

[00:54:09] He's not white.

[00:54:10] You're not a white guy.

[00:54:12] I mean, not white guys can be racist, too.

[00:54:16] Here's the thing.

[00:54:18] The Japanese did fucking bad things, too.

[00:54:20] Did she mention the Japanese to destroy?

[00:54:22] She said Israel, Japan, that the Japanese tanks seem to be destroyed,

[00:54:26] even though that could be seen as his national heritage.

[00:54:29] Isn't that a little wild?

[00:54:31] Don't you think like, hey, just think that like we look back

[00:54:35] and even, you know, surprise, surprise, America had its own issues with

[00:54:42] racism. Yeah.

[00:54:44] What about they were the the Indians

[00:54:49] and then the slavery and then the whole Mexico thing, too?

[00:54:53] Like there was a lot in the Mexico thing still going on.

[00:54:59] Yeah, Canada.

[00:55:01] We hate those guys.

[00:55:02] Have you heard the fucking Kendrick Lamar Drake shit?

[00:55:04] We fucking hate Canada.

[00:55:06] We hate them.

[00:55:07] If you go back in any country history long enough, you're going to find out

[00:55:10] that there's probably some some grievous shit going on.

[00:55:15] Grievous. Yeah.

[00:55:18] I wonder what population. Hold on.

[00:55:21] What percentage of Americans

[00:55:26] think slavery started in America?

[00:55:32] You think they're going to have an answer for this?

[00:55:34] Possibly.

[00:55:35] That's a very specific social statistic you're trying to pull.

[00:55:38] Oh, the Washington Post.

[00:55:39] Fuck, I got to pay for this.

[00:55:40] This looks like what I want.

[00:55:42] Just let him play with his fucking models in.

[00:55:45] Yeah, pretty much.

[00:55:47] Yeah, he's not the asshole.

[00:55:48] The girlfriend's the asshole.

[00:55:49] But I think this is fake anyways.

[00:55:52] Yeah, this is probably fake.

[00:55:54] All right. And with that, let's take a quick break

[00:55:56] and we can hit the meat.

[00:55:58] We use blaze boom boom boom boom boom.

[00:56:00] Ready?

[00:56:02] Hold on. I just want to find funny statistics now.

[00:56:06] Dude, when I was in my statistics class, I found some very funny ones.

[00:56:11] And what was promised was like I was trying to look up

[00:56:13] like just fun stuff like our dog people.

[00:56:17] Do dog people make more money than cat people?

[00:56:20] And meanwhile, every one of my classmates was doing some

[00:56:24] some grievous shit where it's like

[00:56:27] the number of people that think it's OK

[00:56:30] to have an abortion after you've been raped or whatever.

[00:56:33] It's just like, why are you guys doing this?

[00:56:36] Like we literally have so much data on actually like fun things.

[00:56:40] I mean, they're like gambling, addiction and drug usage.

[00:56:44] And I'm like, why? What are you guys doing?

[00:56:47] That's what I would do.

[00:56:48] I would just fucking I need two things, any two things

[00:56:51] just to see what the chart looked like.

[00:56:53] Yeah, no, that's just it.

[00:56:54] But there was a lot of fun things.

[00:56:55] They didn't need to do

[00:56:57] nightmare fuel pretty much.

[00:56:59] Nightmare fuel. Yeah.

[00:57:01] Oh, dude, speaking of nightmare fuel, I had some people over on

[00:57:05] Saturday night and Sunday, and we were playing like magic and stuff.

[00:57:10] And so I was in there playing magic and stuff.

[00:57:12] Somebody went in the kitchen for a little while.

[00:57:13] And then I hear from the kitchen, hey, Naive,

[00:57:16] is something wrong with your dog's paw?

[00:57:19] And I was like, no.

[00:57:22] And then I just kept playing magic

[00:57:23] because I was like, they're fucking on me or something.

[00:57:24] I don't know.

[00:57:25] But like they came around the corner like, hey, Molly's

[00:57:27] like really hurt or something.

[00:57:30] And I'm just like, are you sure?

[00:57:31] Because I don't hear her.

[00:57:32] I don't hear her

[00:57:33] sound hurt or anything.

[00:57:36] And so they go back in there and they're in there for like

[00:57:39] four or five minutes. We're just playing our game.

[00:57:40] And then they come back and they're like, OK, so

[00:57:45] her paw, her whole leg was like halfway into her collar.

[00:57:49] So she's walking like this

[00:57:53] with her paw up in her fucking forehead.

[00:57:56] So somehow she got her arm up into her collar.

[00:57:59] And it was just like a like a like a sling.

[00:58:02] And they didn't notice.

[00:58:04] Well, I'm around some really silly people, I guess.

[00:58:09] Bunch of goons.

[00:58:11] Here's a better note.

[00:58:13] So yesterday I was in the McDonald's drive thru at like

[00:58:17] 1130, you know, like people are coming home from bars and stuff.

[00:58:21] It's like, what was it? Wednesday.

[00:58:23] So it's like people are drinking a little bit,

[00:58:25] coming home from bars and it's fucking packed.

[00:58:27] There's a fucking line going around the building.

[00:58:30] They should like get up to the front.

[00:58:31] I'm listening to a video documentary

[00:58:35] about the worst Yu-Gi-Oh cards to summon.

[00:58:42] Yes, that's what I clicked on.

[00:58:43] I got to use that YouTube premium, bro.

[00:58:45] I got to use it. I bought I got it.

[00:58:47] And I got to use it.

[00:58:48] And so I'm at the drive thru and I'm like, yeah,

[00:58:52] can I get a 10 piece nugget with a large fry, you know?

[00:58:55] And I'm like a coke.

[00:58:57] And the guy is like, all right, so do you want what kind of dipping sauce?

[00:58:59] And I'm like, uh, and the whole time playing to my speakers is thinking.

[00:59:03] So it's like it's like dark magician.

[00:59:06] Bum bum bum bum bum bum bum.

[00:59:07] And then he's just like, hey, is that Yu-Gi-Oh?

[00:59:10] Like through the speaker at me.

[00:59:11] And I'm just like stare at the box for a minute.

[00:59:14] And I'm just like, yeah.

[00:59:16] And he's just like, oh, OK, that'll be 1138.

[00:59:19] I was like, all right.

[00:59:22] I probably made that dude that dude's like talk.

[00:59:24] I bet you know what might have happened is that everyone has like the head things.

[00:59:27] And so one of the cooks was like, hey, that's Yu-Gi-Oh.

[00:59:30] Listen, that dude's listening to Yu-Gi-Oh right now.

[00:59:34] I heard dark magician.

[00:59:35] Actually, it was Time Wizard.

[00:59:36] That's what he kept saying, because they were talking about time.

[00:59:39] Wizard's dog shit.

[00:59:40] Oh, actually, it was Dark Magician and Time Wizard

[00:59:43] because there's a card that is an aged up dark magician.

[00:59:45] But you know, Time Wizard and Dark Magician.

[00:59:47] And they're just like, this is fucking stupid.

[00:59:49] Like you could just summon something way easier.

[00:59:52] Would all of you get stupid?

[00:59:53] Take that nerds.

[00:59:55] Well, the problem is, is like there are some like

[00:59:57] it's kind of what I appreciated about it is that there's so many cards

[01:00:00] that are just trash that just pay out there for like

[01:00:04] the fill out the roster, I guess.

[01:00:07] Yeah, I don't know.

[01:00:09] There is some silliness going on.

[01:00:11] I just like listening to people talk about things they know about.

[01:00:15] I don't necessarily care what it is.

[01:00:17] I'm just listening to you talk kind of how our listeners are.

[01:00:21] I hope so.

[01:00:22] Well, talk about something that we might care about.

[01:00:25] Pokemon Stadium to develop by Nintendo, published by Nintendo

[01:00:28] back in March 26, 2001.

[01:00:31] So this game is over 20 years old.

[01:00:35] Store description, hundreds of Pokemon in three Mendes

[01:00:40] 3D, what's sweeter than victory in a Pokemon battle,

[01:00:44] victory in a 3D arena on the N64.

[01:00:48] Set your strategy, then stand back while your Pokemon battle it out.

[01:00:52] You can even see the Pokemon you've trained,

[01:00:54] rendered in 3D ready for battle.

[01:00:59] We played to do that two hours.

[01:01:01] I did like we talked about, like you can get the little Game Boy

[01:01:05] attachment that goes on the back of the N64 controller

[01:01:08] and you could transfer your Pokemon from up to crystal

[01:01:13] like crystal and back to Pokemon Stadium to

[01:01:18] yes. Yeah, and then you see them and they have their nicknames and shit.

[01:01:22] Yeah, if you you can even transfer.

[01:01:25] We'll talk about later. There's many games.

[01:01:27] The mini game Pokemon also have nicknames and you can transfer

[01:01:30] your Pokemon into the game and they can be used in the mini games.

[01:01:36] Whenever you. Oh, yeah, I noticed that.

[01:01:38] I don't think that's how it is in the first one.

[01:01:40] I don't think you have a nicknamed Pokemon in the first one.

[01:01:43] Probably not many games this whole last thing in the end.

[01:01:46] It is I did not know that this is the first time I ever played this game.

[01:01:50] Jumping into preconceptions.

[01:01:51] Yeah, I'd never played to all do I.

[01:01:53] I thought I did this game.

[01:01:55] Yeah, I only played one.

[01:01:57] Turn it turns out.

[01:01:58] First off, we originally were going to play this game

[01:02:00] because I thought it featured double battles.

[01:02:02] But what a fool I was.

[01:02:03] Double battles were not added to the game until like Generation three,

[01:02:06] which was like Sapphire and Ruby, I think.

[01:02:09] So there are no double battles in this.

[01:02:11] It's just single format.

[01:02:14] But you can have teams of two people,

[01:02:17] but only one person's fighting at a time.

[01:02:19] Yeah, we'll get to that.

[01:02:20] Let's give it so history preconceptions.

[01:02:23] I played the crap out of this as a kid.

[01:02:25] I beat every mode.

[01:02:27] Turns out there's even like a hard mode that I never knew about.

[01:02:29] I'm like kicking myself because I'm like, if only I knew back

[01:02:32] when your child that after you beat, you know, the grand champion,

[01:02:36] if you tap left on the D pad, when you're on the main menu,

[01:02:39] it'll switch to like sunset.

[01:02:42] And that's like a you can now

[01:02:43] re beat the game and everything's harder that way.

[01:02:46] But I played the crap out of this as a kid. Yeah.

[01:02:50] Game was awesome.

[01:02:52] The only thing I didn't like about is because it's just battles.

[01:02:54] So there's like no like walking around like in the other

[01:02:57] because half of the fun for me was like going around

[01:03:01] and walking in buildings and talking to people.

[01:03:04] I was a lonely kid.

[01:03:05] He's on my Pokemon Coliseum.

[01:03:07] No, I'm talking about like red and blue and crystal.

[01:03:10] Yeah. Yeah, well, this is literally just battles.

[01:03:15] Yes, it's a little nitpick from baby me.

[01:03:18] All right. Yeah, I know that is suck.

[01:03:20] And then once Coliseum came out, I'm like, oh my God,

[01:03:23] it's Pokemon Stadium, but better.

[01:03:25] But no, because they actually removed all the stadium aspects

[01:03:28] and Pokemon Coliseum was just like an RPG.

[01:03:31] Yeah, which is sad because there's like

[01:03:33] fucking announcers and shit in this game, which I always loved.

[01:03:36] And my arcs are flying.

[01:03:38] Do one of the things I really liked also is that like

[01:03:42] and when you play Madden, you can see like each other's playbooks.

[01:03:45] And I you do that in this game, too, like you can see what they're doing.

[01:03:48] You know, too.

[01:03:50] Yeah. And so it's like a few it's like you could see what their moves are,

[01:03:54] but you don't see what they pick, obviously,

[01:03:56] because that would be fucking cheating.

[01:03:57] Like you're just like, I'm going to wait to use picks up.

[01:04:00] Yeah, I'll just go second.

[01:04:03] All right. So yeah, I play the Kravis.

[01:04:06] We probably played at least two hours, probably more.

[01:04:08] After our Internet issues.

[01:04:10] And we played it using the Nintendo Switch online service,

[01:04:14] which I don't even know how much it cost, but it has this game

[01:04:17] and we all played online together.

[01:04:19] And the connection was not bad.

[01:04:22] There was a slight delay,

[01:04:23] which I was constantly complaining about, but all in all, pretty good deal.

[01:04:29] OK, so the Nintendo,

[01:04:31] you have to buy the expansion pack to play the Nintendo 64 games

[01:04:34] is what we are playing on.

[01:04:35] Yeah. And it looks like is this some is this a year?

[01:04:40] Why doesn't it say how long it is?

[01:04:45] It's not really. I don't see it.

[01:04:47] I think this is a year.

[01:04:48] It doesn't say for some reason, but it's about 50 bucks.

[01:04:51] Oh, that's not too bad.

[01:04:52] Yeah, it's like half the price of Xbox game best.

[01:04:56] But of course, there's no voice chat.

[01:04:57] So we had to use Xbox for party chat while we were playing on our switches.

[01:05:02] Call each other on the phone.

[01:05:04] Dude, there's a Nintendo phone app.

[01:05:06] Like, have you seen that?

[01:05:08] Yeah, I make fun of him for it.

[01:05:09] Yeah, it's not great.

[01:05:11] Do you know what this reminds me of?

[01:05:13] This is a throwback to our childhood.

[01:05:15] But we me and Philip used to play on the Wii.

[01:05:18] We would play Animal Crossing.

[01:05:19] Oh, yeah. Animal Crossing Wild World, I think.

[01:05:22] And no, but we would live.

[01:05:24] I don't remember.

[01:05:25] But we were in a Xbox party and just we would just change the channel.

[01:05:30] Well, Philip had two TVs, son of a bitch.

[01:05:32] But I would just change.

[01:05:33] I would just pull the RCA is out and then put the 360 RCA.

[01:05:38] It wasn't even like changing the HDMI.

[01:05:40] It was like I had to unplug cables and plug it back in.

[01:05:43] Oh, you know what actually I did, though, is I left the audio once

[01:05:46] in for the Xbox and I would just play the burned CD music on my hard drive.

[01:05:52] And I would just have that music playing while man,

[01:05:55] I had I had it working in high school.

[01:05:57] We were living good and listening to My Chemical Romance Black Parade

[01:06:01] while playing Dead Rising One.

[01:06:03] Fucking Tom Sawyer, my rush and stuff.

[01:06:08] Yeah. Blue October.

[01:06:09] Blue October.

[01:06:10] So it doesn't switch online, but your listener, there's you have options now.

[01:06:15] If you have iOS, I mean, you can go and just download Delta

[01:06:19] and get your ROM of Pokemon Stadium

[01:06:24] and grab your Xbox controllers, Bluetooth them to your phone,

[01:06:28] screen share your phone to your TV like, you know, I can do.

[01:06:31] And all of a sudden you have the same setup, right?

[01:06:34] Right in your kit, your not your kitchen, your living room.

[01:06:37] Yeah. And then you can mod Kendrick Lamar as Mewtwo and Drake as Mew

[01:06:42] and have them fight each other.

[01:06:43] You could. And you can even like upscale it so everything is less blocky.

[01:06:50] Anyways, first thing we did was we did the quiz mode,

[01:06:53] which has a full on quiz game, which I want easily.

[01:06:58] We played twice and I beat the dog shit out of you didn't stand a chance.

[01:07:02] Yeah. I mean, that's what I would say if I was a liar.

[01:07:04] Oh, yeah. I just fabricate everything.

[01:07:06] I'm pretty sure I won one of them.

[01:07:08] No way. Listen here.

[01:07:11] What? I won both of those, even with a fucking screenshot.

[01:07:15] Oh, yeah.

[01:07:17] You have screenshots of this.

[01:07:19] I guess the listeners are just going to have to pick

[01:07:21] one of the fucking narratives and run with it.

[01:07:23] Oh, this fake news.

[01:07:26] And then after that, we went to the minigames,

[01:07:28] which the minigames is a whole thing like so there's like Mario Party.

[01:07:31] There was like dice rolling and coins.

[01:07:34] What the fucking quiz?

[01:07:35] I think I think I wish we got fucking like Janna on one of those switches

[01:07:41] and we had more than just me and you in there, because I feel like

[01:07:44] that quiz would have gone hard with like many people,

[01:07:47] because the way that the quiz worked is whoever

[01:07:50] it's the first person that picked the answer gets the answer.

[01:07:53] But if you get the answer wrong, then you don't get to answer the next question.

[01:07:58] So sometimes there would be times where me and Philip would get something wrong

[01:08:03] and then he'd be out for a round and then he gets something wrong again

[01:08:05] and they'd be out for a run.

[01:08:06] And I'd like get like five points in a row

[01:08:09] and like, oh shit, I'm fucking I'm back.

[01:08:11] Maybe it's never been better.

[01:08:14] Well, another thing was the questions are read out slowly.

[01:08:18] It's not like they pop up.

[01:08:19] It just like tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick,

[01:08:21] like one letter every, you know, half a second or whatever.

[01:08:25] So you're just waiting for enough words to come out that you can guess it.

[01:08:30] Yeah, because you always see the answers.

[01:08:32] So you're like trying to backwards compatible.

[01:08:35] There's one that made me so angry because I feel like it was just a delay

[01:08:38] because the question was like, which Pokemon is yellow?

[01:08:42] And it was like the only yellow one there.

[01:08:45] And then it's like, oh, I'm also like fucking Pikachu.

[01:08:49] But I swear there was like a I had a, you know,

[01:08:51] a couple of milliseconds slowing me down.

[01:08:53] Otherwise, it should have been mine.

[01:08:55] Skill is mine. Skill is you.

[01:08:57] Oh, yeah.

[01:08:57] He could shoot the fucking synapses for my brain.

[01:09:00] Synapses for Pikachu are closer together than yours.

[01:09:03] But there was like which Pokemon is heavier

[01:09:06] like that or just look at

[01:09:09] four different fucking words and they're gin like three.

[01:09:12] And I'm like, what the fuck are any?

[01:09:13] I don't know.

[01:09:14] Like this one sounds like a boulder, I guess.

[01:09:16] And then I'm wrong.

[01:09:17] Of course, the tiny one.

[01:09:19] Oh, man, there was OK.

[01:09:20] So in the minigames, too, if you tie in a minigame,

[01:09:24] you have to do answer a quiz, do one round of quiz

[01:09:27] to see who gets the point.

[01:09:28] And I tied with a computer player

[01:09:30] and I was sweating because I'm like, it's down to me and this guy.

[01:09:34] And there's a question is like, what is TM 22?

[01:09:38] And I'm like, oh, man.

[01:09:40] And I mentioned to get it right.

[01:09:42] It was like return or whatever.

[01:09:44] And I was like, thank fucking God,

[01:09:46] because we're like, we can go right into it now.

[01:09:48] The minigames, Nave, it was a mistake

[01:09:52] to put it on hard.

[01:09:53] Yeah, we put them on hard difficulty

[01:09:56] with the computer because I'm like, this is a baby game.

[01:09:58] This should be easy for us pro gamers.

[01:10:01] We're built different.

[01:10:02] They are fucking doing the Mortal Kombat thing

[01:10:05] where they are perfect in every way is it.

[01:10:07] They're so good.

[01:10:09] So I even outlined with screenshots every minigame we played.

[01:10:13] So we just go down the line.

[01:10:15] And there's one that I was really good at.

[01:10:18] And I was better than the computers somehow,

[01:10:21] which adds to the autism allegations that I don't know

[01:10:24] if I'm ever going to be able to beat going down the low of the row.

[01:10:31] We have gutsy goal bat as for goal,

[01:10:33] that players will fly around the cave collecting hearts

[01:10:36] that are blown by a jinx taking care not to bump into their opponents

[01:10:39] or magnumite along the way, because if you bump into your

[01:10:43] the other guys and knocks the hearts out of you.

[01:10:45] But only if you bump into like their bottom half or something like that.

[01:10:48] It's like whoever is higher doesn't take damage

[01:10:52] when they bump each other.

[01:10:53] Whatever this one was cancer. I hated this one so much.

[01:10:56] Yeah, I've always had not even the computers like this one

[01:10:58] because we only played it once and no one ever picked it again.

[01:11:01] Yeah, but even with the end, though, is like we had one computer

[01:11:04] that had like 19 hearts in the meeting.

[01:11:06] They've had like three.

[01:11:09] Yeah, looks like whoever made the screenshot was playing on hard

[01:11:11] to because it's like the computers have six, six, three, and he has zero.

[01:11:16] Zero. Yeah.

[01:11:17] Poor guy. Terrible trash game.

[01:11:19] Next up, Topsy Turvey has him on top.

[01:11:22] Players knock each other out of an arena using a rapid spin move.

[01:11:26] The player gets five knockouts wins.

[01:11:28] Now, this is just Beyblades.

[01:11:30] And I love this one. I actually like this one a lot.

[01:11:33] We only played this once and I won this one.

[01:11:36] Dude, no, that made me so mad, too, because like

[01:11:40] I was in the lead.

[01:11:41] I had I was like, I need one more.

[01:11:43] And Dave's like, I need three more.

[01:11:44] And then you knocked out.

[01:11:46] No, you need like four more.

[01:11:47] And you knocked out like four people on a road just back to back.

[01:11:50] Everyone jumped in front of you and just like KO to each person, including me.

[01:11:54] Like, yeah, all of us just knocking us all out.

[01:11:56] I'm like, what?

[01:11:57] How did this very convenient?

[01:11:58] Because at the beginning, I thought because you need to get five points,

[01:12:01] five knockouts.

[01:12:02] Now, I was under the impression that it was the opposite.

[01:12:06] Whoever got knocked out five times was out.

[01:12:09] So I was specifically targeting the red computer because they were in the lead.

[01:12:13] I didn't know that you just had to get points.

[01:12:16] So for like maybe 15, 20 seconds, I was like avoiding everyone.

[01:12:20] But the red guy trying to like only hit him.

[01:12:22] And then I realized, oh, shit,

[01:12:24] I'm losing home.

[01:12:26] And then you swiped back.

[01:12:27] Next up is clear cut challenge as a scyther, scissor, pincer.

[01:12:31] Players must cut the white line on their logs with them either gaining

[01:12:35] or losing points, depending on how the log was cut.

[01:12:38] The player who has the most points after five logs wins.

[01:12:41] So there's a log that is dropped in this just a tiny mini game.

[01:12:45] Have you got to press the A button right when you're lined up with the line?

[01:12:50] But of course, you actually need to do it slightly ahead

[01:12:53] because of how it looks.

[01:12:54] Plus, I had a delay also, so I needed to do it much farther ahead.

[01:12:59] And this one was like one of my favorite ones growing up.

[01:13:02] I would try this so many times because you can get 100 points,

[01:13:06] which is like the full score of getting them perfect.

[01:13:09] So what do you think about this game?

[01:13:11] I when I first saw this, I was like, this is going to be my favorite one

[01:13:14] because I'm the guitar hero guy.

[01:13:16] So this is just guitar hero.

[01:13:18] But there is a delay.

[01:13:20] I don't know what it was because like some time

[01:13:22] we played this one like five times and this one.

[01:13:25] Sometimes I would do OK.

[01:13:27] Sometimes I would do terribly, but I never did well.

[01:13:31] Like I would maybe I would hit the line like on one time

[01:13:34] like every two games and but every other time

[01:13:37] I'm like fucking completely missing or whiffing.

[01:13:39] I don't know. I never got the timing done.

[01:13:42] But this is the first game that we talked about where you can be.

[01:13:45] Everyone's can be like different Pokemon.

[01:13:47] I think that that's cool.

[01:13:48] It is very cool. I like that because like when you drop in

[01:13:51] and you're like, oh, man, I'm the Scyther.

[01:13:53] I'm definitely going to win this now against the dumb, stupid

[01:13:56] beetle pincher guys or whatever they are.

[01:13:59] I don't know what is what is pincher.

[01:14:00] Is he a beetle? Yeah, he's like a he's like a stag beetle, I guess.

[01:14:04] I don't know.

[01:14:05] He's got like scorpion, like a stag beetle, but he's got a scorpion head

[01:14:08] and like grabbers.

[01:14:10] I don't know. He's a thing.

[01:14:13] Next up, ferrets, frolic as ferret players knock

[01:14:17] for pokeballs in their corner to score.

[01:14:20] Alternatively, the player can also play as a giraffe,

[01:14:23] which giraffe backwards is giraffe.

[01:14:27] Ah, all right.

[01:14:29] But anyway, they did that on purpose.

[01:14:30] Yes. It's the stupid two headed giraffe.

[01:14:34] All right. I hate this one. This one's also cancer.

[01:14:37] I didn't.

[01:14:37] We played this one like four times and I did not understand it

[01:14:41] until the last time.

[01:14:42] I didn't understand that you could like move.

[01:14:44] OK, so the way it works is you're in the middle.

[01:14:47] It's like there's up down left and right.

[01:14:49] And then the center is neutral.

[01:14:50] If you're not pressing anything, I didn't understand that.

[01:14:53] So I thought you had to like this, like move physically.

[01:14:56] And so I just never figured you hold the direction you want to pop up in.

[01:15:00] I was like doing circular motions, trying to like move the balls.

[01:15:04] It is not that complicated.

[01:15:05] Your character is only ever facing one way

[01:15:08] and then whatever pop up you pop up.

[01:15:11] So I was always on top looking down because that's where my goal always was.

[01:15:15] And if I went to the left, I was still looking down.

[01:15:18] But I would hit down like but on the left side,

[01:15:21] it's just it's hard to explain that looking at it.

[01:15:23] But I didn't get it forever.

[01:15:25] I thought I could turn.

[01:15:26] I just didn't understand what the fuck I was doing wrong.

[01:15:29] Yeah, I hate this one.

[01:15:31] All right. Next up,

[01:15:32] barrier ball as Mr.

[01:15:34] Mime players bounce a pokeball around each other's court.

[01:15:36] This is like pong, but I hate it.

[01:15:39] This one also sucked.

[01:15:41] Yeah, it's it's like reverse Hungry Hungry hippos or like air hockey.

[01:15:46] It's like four way air hockey.

[01:15:47] Four way air hockey.

[01:15:48] If that sounds fun to you,

[01:15:50] I guess you found the game looking for

[01:15:54] its four way air hockey, except you have like a squirt gun

[01:15:58] and you have to squirt your paddle to the left and the right.

[01:16:01] That's what it feels like.

[01:16:01] You're fine.

[01:16:02] You have hardly any control over what happens in yours.

[01:16:05] You're like weirdly slow or the ball is also weirdly slow,

[01:16:08] but it speeds up whenever they like it sucks.

[01:16:11] And there's multiple balls that appear.

[01:16:14] I don't like it.

[01:16:16] Next up, OK, this one.

[01:16:17] This one was also a favorite of my childhood.

[01:16:20] Pichu's power plant as Pichu players race to be the first

[01:16:24] to fully charge up the four electrodes.

[01:16:26] A Pikachu can be used in place of a Pikachu or Pichu.

[01:16:30] This one is just button mashing while holding the right direction

[01:16:33] and mashing the correct button.

[01:16:34] I was so good at this one as a child.

[01:16:37] I was terrible.

[01:16:38] This one, I think it's because of the delay

[01:16:40] because I found a note in the Wikipedia for this, the wiki.

[01:16:44] It says it is virtually impossible to be the CPU players

[01:16:48] in the hard difficulty of thundering dynamo on modern TVs

[01:16:54] and monitors due to LCD input lag, preventing the player

[01:16:57] from being able to press the A and B buttons as fast as the CPU.

[01:17:03] That's interesting.

[01:17:04] So it is literally impossible.

[01:17:06] We we still lost this.

[01:17:08] So with my delay and apparently there's some screen delay,

[01:17:11] like we could not win this one.

[01:17:14] Yeah, this one was cool, though.

[01:17:17] Yeah, it's just hold the direction and mash the button.

[01:17:19] It's just a better version of the furred game.

[01:17:22] All right.

[01:17:22] This one's interesting because it almost gives me like Kirby air ride vibes.

[01:17:26] And that's a ramp rampage rollout as Don fan players must complete

[01:17:30] compete to be the first to compete nine last around their square track.

[01:17:34] Depending on their placement, players will receive dust clouds.

[01:17:37] They can stop their opponents from getting ahead on the final lap.

[01:17:40] The dolphin use rollout.

[01:17:43] Yeah, this is just a race in a circle on that.

[01:17:46] It's also like a 2D.

[01:17:47] It's a pocket circuit type thing.

[01:17:50] You can leave a little fart cloud

[01:17:52] that people up behind you to Ben and appeal.

[01:17:55] I think you want this one.

[01:17:57] No, I did not.

[01:17:58] I got last place.

[01:17:59] I was in first place the whole time and then I died at the end.

[01:18:02] So here's the thing.

[01:18:05] Like I said, depending on their placement, they received dust clouds.

[01:18:08] I got like three the whole race.

[01:18:11] And so I used them early and then I never got any more because I was in first.

[01:18:15] And then eventually I hit one and then it just fucking catastrophic.

[01:18:19] It was catastrophic.

[01:18:20] I just could never catch up

[01:18:21] because everyone had stockpiled like a couple of them.

[01:18:25] Well, no, you get a lot because it's like when you're in first place,

[01:18:28] I don't know if you get any maybe just one.

[01:18:30] But it's like every other person you get like

[01:18:33] if you're in second, you get to if you're in third, you get three.

[01:18:36] If you're in fourth, you get four.

[01:18:38] That you can draw behind you and they reset every lap

[01:18:41] and they stack to on the map like they just keep their persistent.

[01:18:46] God, this one is that was the thing.

[01:18:48] Yeah, that's all I was feeling is like I couldn't fucking do anything.

[01:18:52] And I was like in the last two laps and I just fucking

[01:18:55] could not catch back up.

[01:18:56] I just went right the fourth place and stayed there.

[01:18:59] OK, all right.

[01:19:01] This one next is one another favorite of mine.

[01:19:04] Streaming stampede using the Cleffa or Igli Bell,

[01:19:08] players are tasked with counting a specific Pokemon and earn points

[01:19:11] based on how close they were to the estimate.

[01:19:13] On the fifth question, players must count every Pokemon.

[01:19:17] So you just have a clicker that you can only increase

[01:19:20] and you just have to press a every time you see a Pokemon

[01:19:23] walk in front of you.

[01:19:24] Usually there's a signifier like only count Pikachu

[01:19:27] or only count star lapses or whatever.

[01:19:30] I love this one.

[01:19:32] But it pissed me off

[01:19:33] because whatever reason is it would just not count all my presses.

[01:19:37] And so there was multiple times where I'm like, there was exactly 10.

[01:19:41] And then it would say how many times I press the button.

[01:19:43] And it was like nine.

[01:19:44] And I'm like, no, I even picked this game like three different times

[01:19:48] in multiple times on the first round, which is a gimme.

[01:19:51] It's always 10.

[01:19:52] It's always 10 on the first round.

[01:19:54] Is it really? I think it was.

[01:19:56] I don't know that.

[01:19:57] Like we played this one like five times and I think I won like four of them.

[01:20:01] Yeah, I was really good at this.

[01:20:03] This one's kind of fun.

[01:20:04] It's like imagine playing rock band and it's like, hey,

[01:20:07] I don't know, count every blue note or something like that.

[01:20:10] And like, that's cool.

[01:20:11] It's like now count every note.

[01:20:13] And it looks like through the fire of flame stream.

[01:20:16] Yeah.

[01:20:17] Which is crazy because there'll be a fucking shit ton of them.

[01:20:20] And twice I counted exactly right.

[01:20:23] And I was just like, holy shit, I'm crazy at this game.

[01:20:26] Like, I don't know how I'm doing.

[01:20:28] I just go into a fucking trance, dude.

[01:20:30] I look like the Psychonauts guy, like I fucking I start spiraling out.

[01:20:35] But like somehow at the end of the line, dude,

[01:20:38] I am what is I fucking also this.

[01:20:40] I'm pretty sure one of the games I had a perfect score.

[01:20:43] Like I got the fucking exact number on every one of them.

[01:20:46] I like the one.

[01:20:47] I like this one a lot.

[01:20:48] It sucks that I was repeatedly getting trolled by my Internet.

[01:20:52] Well, let's play it.

[01:20:53] I was getting so angry because I was very competitive in this one.

[01:20:56] I believe it because sometimes there would be an easy one

[01:20:59] and you'd fuck it up like Philip.

[01:21:01] What happened?

[01:21:02] But I think like Channa was in the room, so you weren't talking anymore.

[01:21:04] Oh, yeah.

[01:21:05] So I was just like, man, Philip is distracted or something.

[01:21:08] I don't know.

[01:21:08] There's like exactly four Doug Trios that showed up.

[01:21:12] It's somehow said one or something.

[01:21:14] Yeah.

[01:21:15] Next up, another cancer tumbling togopi as togopi players

[01:21:19] run on a treadmill to reach the goal of holding avoiding boulders,

[01:21:23] flowers and Diglett along the way.

[01:21:26] Omnimite can be used in place of togopi.

[01:21:30] Interesting note in tumbling togopi, the losing players

[01:21:33] don't have a time limit to finish their race after someone reaches

[01:21:36] the finish line, so they could just stop running.

[01:21:40] It does not finish and not let the race end.

[01:21:43] That's fun.

[01:21:44] But we never did that.

[01:21:45] That is funny.

[01:21:47] If you always have a party night, that would that's something you can do.

[01:21:51] That is the play.

[01:21:53] We played this three times, I think, and every time I got last place.

[01:21:56] Dude, I hate this one so much.

[01:21:57] I don't know.

[01:21:58] I don't know what it is like.

[01:21:59] The computers are just masters at it, but it's like you need to hit

[01:22:02] the speed boost and you can't even like graze any of the rocks.

[01:22:06] There's flower hills that you can roll over.

[01:22:09] But if you're not rolling, they slow you down even more.

[01:22:13] I don't know. This one just sucks.

[01:22:15] Yeah, I don't I don't like it.

[01:22:17] I don't like it.

[01:22:19] All right. This next one, it gets a pass.

[01:22:21] Delibirds delivery.

[01:22:22] Players control Delibird and pick up presents to gain points

[01:22:26] with them gaining more points as they deliver the same present multiple times.

[01:22:29] This one's kind of it's kind of fun as far as like many games go,

[01:22:33] because it's really a push your luck type of thing,

[01:22:36] because as you deliver the presents, there's sweet nubs,

[01:22:38] which are pigs running back and forth.

[01:22:41] And if they hit you, they'll knock everything out of your sack.

[01:22:44] Then you got to go back and pick up more toys for delivery.

[01:22:47] Or do you just put your controller down because you lost

[01:22:49] against the hard hit hit hit.

[01:22:51] Fuck up like that once.

[01:22:52] It's like, dude, just never get a full sack.

[01:22:54] That's all you got to do, because like once you're full,

[01:22:57] you cannot dodge the speeding, the speeding little piggies.

[01:23:01] Dude, one time because OK, so the thing is, is that yeah,

[01:23:04] if you get a multiplier, so if you get like fucking three stockings,

[01:23:07] you get times three on the third one or whatever,

[01:23:09] or maybe on all three of them, I don't know.

[01:23:11] But dude, one time I got like four fucking game boys

[01:23:16] and I was like, oh my God, and I didn't even pick up a fifth thing.

[01:23:18] I was like, oh my God.

[01:23:19] And I started running and you got you were running down.

[01:23:23] I don't think you meant to do this, but you were running down.

[01:23:26] You bumped me slightly and I wasn't really paying it.

[01:23:29] But I'm on the far left.

[01:23:30] So you bumped me away from my thing slightly.

[01:23:33] And so I started turning left and I walked right into one of those pigs.

[01:23:37] And this is the first time I had ever really gotten hit by one

[01:23:39] and noticed that you lose your shit.

[01:23:41] And I was just like, like I just felt my face go red.

[01:23:45] I was like, Bill, you mother, you motherfucker.

[01:23:48] Like, well, no, you know, you don't actually have to go

[01:23:51] in front of your drop off point.

[01:23:53] It will automatically go to the drop off point.

[01:23:55] If you just touch the back wall.

[01:23:56] Yeah. Oh my God.

[01:23:58] Well, that's probably why I never won this because I always had to.

[01:24:00] I always ran to the corner even if I was in the fucking opposite corner.

[01:24:03] I would run to my corner.

[01:24:05] All right. So yeah, but this one's actually pretty good.

[01:24:08] It does suck to get hit by the pig.

[01:24:10] So this next one might be my favorite, which is funny

[01:24:14] because it's literally just like a guitar hero egg emergency.

[01:24:18] Players control Chansey and must catch falling eggs while avoiding volt orbs.

[01:24:22] It's the same song, the same pattern every time.

[01:24:24] You just got to catch the eggs.

[01:24:26] I played the crap out of this till I was getting like a hundred as a child.

[01:24:31] Like because that's the high score you can get where you do like a perfect run.

[01:24:34] You can do it in this game.

[01:24:36] But with my delay,

[01:24:38] like it was just impossible where it's like you need to just like snap over

[01:24:41] to grab an egg and then snap back to dodge the electrodes.

[01:24:45] And I cannot do it fast enough based on my visual delay.

[01:24:49] Even even without that delay,

[01:24:51] you still have a little bit of delay because of the emulation, I think. But

[01:24:55] this was really fun.

[01:24:56] I was really good at this one as well, which no surprise.

[01:24:59] Yeah, because I am.

[01:25:00] This is my this literally my type of shit.

[01:25:02] It's a great game.

[01:25:03] It literally looks like Guitar Hero, but instead of like hitting the buttons,

[01:25:06] it's like you're either on the left, you're moving to the left

[01:25:09] and moving to the right or neutral where you're not touching anything

[01:25:12] and you're just trying to catch the eggs that are falling.

[01:25:14] But they follow patterns.

[01:25:16] So like you start doing a fucking jig, you know, like dancing.

[01:25:20] Yeah.

[01:25:21] Next up, eager, easy for Evie race around a lid held down by an apom

[01:25:27] who will then open it to reveal fruit that the players must grab

[01:25:31] while avoiding panko.

[01:25:34] And bossing them.

[01:25:35] What? No, this one, I really like this one.

[01:25:38] I think this one's a lot.

[01:25:38] It's the hard computers.

[01:25:40] Oh, no, the computers ruin it.

[01:25:42] But if it's just people like this thing is like,

[01:25:45] I don't know, describe it.

[01:25:46] I said Russian roulette, but it's not Russian roulette.

[01:25:48] It is like it's all about timing reaction

[01:25:52] and just having a faster reaction speed than the other people.

[01:25:56] Well, also not.

[01:25:58] It's weird because you can faint as well.

[01:26:00] Yes, you can.

[01:26:00] You can do a fake out and try and get people to jump.

[01:26:04] You know, like whenever you're at a stop,

[01:26:06] you're at a stoplight, right?

[01:26:07] And you look over the person next to you on their phone.

[01:26:09] So you just start moving forward a little bit.

[01:26:11] And then they always try to go.

[01:26:13] And I'm always trying to get someone to get into a car accident.

[01:26:16] You know,

[01:26:17] oh, no, it's not great.

[01:26:20] But then I works every time because that's how they're gauging.

[01:26:24] They're not looking up at the stoplight.

[01:26:25] They're looking down on their phone, but they're peripheral.

[01:26:27] Yeah, they see your car moving a little bit and you're like, Oh, it's my turn.

[01:26:32] I got it so funny.

[01:26:34] But yeah, I like this one a lot.

[01:26:35] It sucked because with my delay, I didn't have a chance

[01:26:39] and the computers were also too good.

[01:26:41] But this was interesting because it has a real world of fruit in it

[01:26:45] instead of like Pokemon fruit, which is all like berries and stuff.

[01:26:49] But this one has like bananas and strawberries and watermelon.

[01:26:54] Well, yeah, well, it's like Pokemon Stadium.

[01:26:56] One had the Lickitung game that had just sushi actual food.

[01:27:00] Yeah, it's like sushi.

[01:27:01] What's that made out of?

[01:27:04] Magic Carp.

[01:27:05] All right, yeah, but I like this one a lot, even though we never want it.

[01:27:10] So looking back on it, it's like half of these games.

[01:27:12] I just hate completely.

[01:27:15] Like I never want to play them again.

[01:27:18] Yeah, it would be cool if you could like have a compilation of like

[01:27:22] these games and then all the Pokemon Stadium one games just as like an app

[01:27:27] on the phone would be cool.

[01:27:29] I feel like maybe the cancer ones wouldn't be so bad

[01:27:31] if you had a full team of four humans.

[01:27:35] Yeah, but with computers, terrible.

[01:27:39] Which the computers beat us.

[01:27:41] It was like best like first to nine points or whatever.

[01:27:44] And we but it was AIDS.

[01:27:46] It was worse than that, because sometimes you would get like three points

[01:27:50] or sometimes you would steal a point.

[01:27:52] It's like it was bullshit.

[01:27:54] It lasted so much longer.

[01:27:56] There was multiple points where like one computer was one point away

[01:27:59] from winning for three matches in a row, and then he got stolen from.

[01:28:03] And the other computer was now, you know, one point away

[01:28:06] from winning for three matches in a row.

[01:28:08] And then Nave was like one coin away from winning for like two matches

[01:28:12] in then something else happened and we ended up finding finally losing

[01:28:15] to the computers.

[01:28:17] And this took everyone had like, yeah, everyone had like Max coinage

[01:28:21] and like, how is it possible?

[01:28:24] I just don't know.

[01:28:25] All right. But that's that's the mini game section.

[01:28:28] I honestly think that's where most of our time when the mini games

[01:28:32] are the best part of this game, like we can get into like

[01:28:35] the actual game, but I love the mini games.

[01:28:40] All right. So actual game time.

[01:28:42] It's Pokemon battles from second generation.

[01:28:46] No double battle.

[01:28:47] The matches are slow.

[01:28:48] The rental teams that they give you suck.

[01:28:51] The Pokemon have weird moves, not moves that I would pick.

[01:28:55] Choosing Pokemon from the rental thing sucks

[01:28:57] because I even want to start it up.

[01:28:58] I actually muted myself by like bumping my controller

[01:29:02] and I muted myself in the party, not on my mic.

[01:29:04] So my mic was unmuted.

[01:29:06] So I knew my mic was working, but I muted myself in the party.

[01:29:09] So I'm like, Nave, you dumbass, you pick the wrong thing.

[01:29:12] Go back. We're going to have to repick all these Pokemon

[01:29:15] multiple times trying to warn you and me while you're

[01:29:18] Yeah.

[01:29:18] Just ignoring me.

[01:29:22] And I'm like, Nave, you dumb fuck.

[01:29:24] And then it's like, why are you being so mean to him?

[01:29:26] I'm like, this dude is wasting my time right now.

[01:29:30] He's like, oh, I'm going to look at this Pokemon.

[01:29:32] No, I think I'll get a Raikou.

[01:29:34] No, but here's the thing.

[01:29:35] Here's the thing, though, is because when you play

[01:29:37] Nintendo online and you're player two or player three or four,

[01:29:40] you can hit a button and clap.

[01:29:42] And so you're you have a little cursor on the screen

[01:29:45] and then you can clap.

[01:29:46] And so you just kept clapping over and over again,

[01:29:49] trying to get my attention.

[01:29:51] But I'm like, man, Philip really likes my picks.

[01:29:53] I'm like, he really likes these.

[01:29:55] Oh, my God.

[01:29:56] And then finally, you reset and you're like, whatever, let's just do

[01:30:01] I think from that point, did we do a quick battle right after that?

[01:30:04] We did a quick battle, which was just a one v one

[01:30:06] because I had to read, by the way.

[01:30:09] OK, so what I picked was it was one

[01:30:12] one player one and player two versus player three and player four,

[01:30:15] because we thought that there were double battles.

[01:30:17] And I wanted there to be two people on the enemy team. Right.

[01:30:20] I didn't realize it had to be a I had to actually hit computer,

[01:30:24] which there's only one computer.

[01:30:26] So it's like whenever I did that,

[01:30:29] the game was waiting for me to plug in a player three,

[01:30:32] which I couldn't do because Nintendo online.

[01:30:35] And I couldn't back out

[01:30:36] because it's a fucking stupid Nintendo 64 game

[01:30:39] and they don't fucking play test anything there.

[01:30:40] They've never occurred to them that someone would want to back out

[01:30:43] in that situation.

[01:30:44] And so I had to reset the whole game.

[01:30:47] And whenever I got there, I saw quick battle on the screen.

[01:30:50] And I was like, oh, yeah, I want to battle quick

[01:30:52] because that took fucking 10 minutes to set that up.

[01:30:55] And so I went to quick battle and it was just one v one.

[01:30:58] But then folks like, oh, you scared me.

[01:31:00] You know, and I'm like, well, no, I'm going to fucking fight you now.

[01:31:03] Hold on.

[01:31:04] Yeah, I'll fight you.

[01:31:05] Baby Pokemon, which yeah, I'm like, which I did get this whole idea

[01:31:10] as my first though, it just instantly self destruct.

[01:31:14] So that was bullshit.

[01:31:15] What? Oh, that was the fucking thing, though, is as soon as I saw that

[01:31:18] electrode, I was like, oh, fuck, dude,

[01:31:22] that's going to blow up.

[01:31:24] And I didn't want to say it because I didn't want you to do it.

[01:31:26] So I thought maybe you'd be like, no, that'll be fucking mean.

[01:31:29] But then you did it anyway.

[01:31:30] So I was like, just in case he doesn't do that,

[01:31:33] I will put a strong Pokemon up front and maybe they'll survive.

[01:31:36] But of course, they didn't like go Charmander.

[01:31:39] I'm like so struck, which I won that quick battle.

[01:31:43] Yeah, it was terrible because well, I think it was because my Pokemon types.

[01:31:48] Yeah, my Pokemon do is just fucking completely typed out.

[01:31:52] I fucked up, which that is the way that those games work.

[01:31:56] Yeah, the way that the Coliseum games work is that you get six Pokemon

[01:31:59] and then you each see each other's Pokemon and then you pick

[01:32:02] the order in which they come out.

[01:32:04] But like in that quick battle, we could only pick three.

[01:32:06] So which is even cooler because now we're like psyching each other.

[01:32:10] I'm like, OK, is he going to pick?

[01:32:12] Yeah, we were drafting the Pokemon rather than whatever.

[01:32:16] All right. So we went in there and you set it up and

[01:32:19] you had to pick a full six Pokemon for our team battle.

[01:32:22] I also had to pick a full six Pokemon.

[01:32:25] And then we went in there and then we would each

[01:32:27] switched in three Pokemon from our teams.

[01:32:30] What is it? You missed something.

[01:32:32] What I also had to pick the six Pokemon for the computer.

[01:32:36] Oh, yeah. Because you saw I just gave him.

[01:32:39] Oh, my God. He just gave us some random bullshit, which

[01:32:42] interesting enough, we get in there and he had a fucking Steelix

[01:32:46] that beat our dicks off.

[01:32:48] I should not have given him that Steelix.

[01:32:50] I did not know the power of that Pokemon.

[01:32:53] I didn't want to give him five Charmander's.

[01:32:56] You know what I mean? I wanted to fight us.

[01:32:58] But that Steelix literally fucking destroyed us.

[01:33:01] Like I did not under because what Philip was saying before,

[01:33:05] I get to pick three Pokemon.

[01:33:06] Philip gets to pick three Pokemon and then they just keep the six

[01:33:10] that I gave them.

[01:33:11] And so because it wouldn't make sense if I gave it.

[01:33:14] You know, it doesn't make sense if it's just a computer.

[01:33:18] Yeah, so it was slow.

[01:33:20] It was a slog.

[01:33:21] We could only control our own Pokemon.

[01:33:24] Yeah. So

[01:33:27] it was basically just taking turns and I highlight

[01:33:29] on like, hey, this game normally doesn't have online.

[01:33:31] There'd be no difference than us just being like passing the controller

[01:33:35] to each other while we were playing like we didn't need a second

[01:33:38] controller for this.

[01:33:40] Yeah. Well, you know what?

[01:33:41] It'd probably be cooler if we both uploaded our Pokemon to the game.

[01:33:46] I bet.

[01:33:47] And then we are using our own controllers with our own Pokemon.

[01:33:51] Yeah, again, in our cartridge or whatever.

[01:33:54] But even then, I don't know.

[01:33:58] I hated it like old Pokemon, especially because I put a lot of hours

[01:34:03] into Pokemon Showdown, which has everything, all the Pokemon held items.

[01:34:09] Even when you do random battles in that where they just give you a team.

[01:34:13] The teams are built around an idea like it is a random team,

[01:34:17] but they have actually competitive move sets.

[01:34:21] And you can also like fast forward the animations

[01:34:24] Pokemon Showdown is just a better Pokemon battle experience

[01:34:26] and Pokemon Stadium to as it turns out, surprisingly not surprising.

[01:34:31] Is that the the browser based?

[01:34:33] Oh yeah, the browser one.

[01:34:36] Dude, I what?

[01:34:38] It's so funny that you bring that up because I have randomly been

[01:34:41] I've randomly started watching this guy.

[01:34:46] Temp 60.

[01:34:47] Yeah, I love his videos. He's so good.

[01:34:50] He just runs troll teams and just completely demolishes people like

[01:34:53] we do with one baby Pokemon.

[01:34:56] And then maybe someone somehow wipes them.

[01:34:59] It's like it has it does substitute and the times for is its attack

[01:35:03] and then like puts a leech seed on them.

[01:35:05] And it's like this is so annoying.

[01:35:08] And then meanwhile, they've got fucking Rayquaza and Kyogre Mewtwo.

[01:35:13] Like they're the best.

[01:35:14] And he's literally running a child Pokemon like.

[01:35:19] It looks so fucking annoying.

[01:35:21] And but that's the thing.

[01:35:23] The one that I watched recently was, I don't know.

[01:35:26] I guess multiple people could be in the chat, even though it's only a one

[01:35:29] v one game. Yeah, you know, so they were fighting.

[01:35:33] And it was against the King one and the guy in the spectator,

[01:35:38] the King two was in there just hyping up the King one.

[01:35:43] So the King one loses and the King two is like play.

[01:35:46] No, fight me. I'll beat your ass little kid.

[01:35:49] He's also you.

[01:35:50] You can pick your trainer and it's like the trainers.

[01:35:52] And he's literally using the little kid trainer, like the butt catcher or whatever.

[01:35:56] Yeah. So they fight again and he's got a new team and it literally ends.

[01:36:00] Dude. Let me go fucking look.

[01:36:05] The way it ends when he beats

[01:36:08] when he beats the King two, let me see here.

[01:36:18] He says he says, bro, I'm sorry.

[01:36:22] As he loses the game, the King one says,

[01:36:26] yeah, the King one goes, you're good, man.

[01:36:30] Just imagining him on the ground.

[01:36:33] I'm sorry.

[01:36:35] I guess he loses.

[01:36:36] It's so funny.

[01:36:37] The amount of times people will ask for rematches, they're like,

[01:36:40] that won't work twice punk in the whole run.

[01:36:42] The same team, the same exact set, the same moves.

[01:36:46] And it's almost like a chess thing where like he'll be like,

[01:36:48] I'm going to use the same exact opening.

[01:36:50] You just have to counter it.

[01:36:52] And they still fail to counter it.

[01:36:54] And he just beats them again.

[01:36:55] And I'm just like, oh, my God.

[01:36:58] Incredible.

[01:37:00] It is incredible.

[01:37:02] We are lagging a little bit.

[01:37:03] That's fine.

[01:37:05] All right.

[01:37:05] Do you have any more notes for the actual game part?

[01:37:10] The notes?

[01:37:11] Well, no, it doesn't mean like any meat points for the actual battles.

[01:37:15] No, I mean, besides that, they look good.

[01:37:17] They fucking look awesome.

[01:37:19] Yeah. Three, three, three, three, Dio or whatever.

[01:37:22] The stupid intro thing said.

[01:37:25] Yeah, this was great for the imagination.

[01:37:28] Like I this is what I thought of every time I would play Pokemon games.

[01:37:31] Like this is what was going on in my mind.

[01:37:33] What?

[01:37:33] They're staying completely still doing idle animation.

[01:37:35] So it's their time to attack.

[01:37:37] And then they do like a little break dance and then the laser will fly out of their mouth.

[01:37:42] I like I love it.

[01:37:43] Like they like the cameras will change and like in the different perspectives

[01:37:47] of the Pokemon like slowly like flipping through cameras.

[01:37:49] It's fucking awesome.

[01:37:50] You know, do like close ups on their face to like, oh,

[01:37:53] and like, man, that polygon looks serious.

[01:37:58] All right. Let's take a quick break and then we'll come back with our final words.

[01:38:01] These plays boom, boom, boom, boom.

[01:38:04] Black stock. Good.

[01:38:07] Pokemon Stadium to I'll take these first final words.

[01:38:10] Now, this game is a retro classic, a favorite from my childhood.

[01:38:15] I played hundreds of hours of this game, probably.

[01:38:18] Try there with Star Fox 64 and Super Mario 64.

[01:38:21] Play the crap out of it.

[01:38:23] I would love to bring people over and then force them to play this game with me,

[01:38:26] even though it is not actually that fun to play.

[01:38:29] The mini games are fun, but actual battles not great.

[01:38:34] It takes so long to pick your team.

[01:38:36] That kind of sucks.

[01:38:38] If you already have.

[01:38:41] I don't know if I can recommend it for Nintendo Switch.

[01:38:43] I'd say basically.

[01:38:46] Emulated, probably you don't need to buy

[01:38:48] an antenna switch and do switch online for all that emulate the game.

[01:38:52] This is going to be a generally not recommend for me, unless

[01:38:57] you're just doing it for the mini games and you have a bunch of friends over.

[01:39:00] Then this is a big recommend for me.

[01:39:02] This is like playing Super Mario Party one or two

[01:39:05] back when the games were janky and control sucked.

[01:39:09] Like it feels bad to play.

[01:39:11] But if you're having fun with your friends, it doesn't matter.

[01:39:16] It's funny that you brought up Mario Party

[01:39:18] because I was going to not recommend this game

[01:39:21] and just say play Mario.

[01:39:22] If you're on the expansion pass already, just play Mario Party three.

[01:39:26] The thing about the Mario parties is that they have way more games.

[01:39:32] There's like eight games in this game.

[01:39:34] Yeah. So like once you get through those eight, you're like, all right,

[01:39:37] now we're just doing the same ones over and over again,

[01:39:39] which some of them are worth playing over and over again for a little while.

[01:39:43] But you got you got more variety in the newer Mario Party games, you know.

[01:39:48] Newer, you said to three.

[01:39:51] We definitely should play Mario Party because they've always had

[01:39:53] team battles or team matches or whatever.

[01:39:56] Yeah, we need them Donkey Kong.

[01:39:58] I mean, it's like I don't want to play against computers,

[01:40:01] so we're going to need to like find someone that actually wants to sit down

[01:40:04] and play an hour long match of Mario Party with us.

[01:40:07] I'm surprised how many people have switches and don't pay for the fucking online.

[01:40:11] It's like, you know.

[01:40:14] I just don't understand it.

[01:40:15] It's like they just you just play Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Advance games

[01:40:19] and just right there.

[01:40:20] You just pay a year for 50 bucks.

[01:40:22] Oh, my God. I don't know.

[01:40:25] But if you play, if you emulate them, then you can't play online like this.

[01:40:28] Yes, you can, because there's remote play built into retro arc.

[01:40:33] No, we played just like, oh, I don't like I don't want to do that.

[01:40:37] Like we did parsec before, but which isn't great.

[01:40:41] I think retro arcs, remote play is actually better function,

[01:40:43] but it requires both of you to run the ROM at the same time,

[01:40:48] whereas parsec does not.

[01:40:51] Yeah, parsec just took into account my buttons.

[01:40:54] I was your controller inputs. Yes.

[01:40:57] So well, that matter because the delay was insane.

[01:41:01] Naive, what are we playing next week?

[01:41:03] We have only, you know, two days before we record.

[01:41:07] Yeah.

[01:41:09] So I put a list of some short games, headbangers.

[01:41:14] I don't know what that is.

[01:41:15] That's the the the pigeon game where they waggle their heads.

[01:41:20] Yeah, yeah.

[01:41:22] Rocket League.

[01:41:25] Maybe that's actually a maybe

[01:41:28] all right, you know, or Disney Speedstorm.

[01:41:31] Mm hmm.

[01:41:31] I would rather play Rocket League than that one.

[01:41:33] I got to look at whatever the headbangers is.

[01:41:36] OK, well, we're looking at one of those games.

[01:41:39] So thanks for joining us this week, co-partners.

[01:41:41] Maybe next time we can all manifest some burglars together.

[01:41:46] Or build a what is the fucking thing?

[01:41:48] Is the fucking.

[01:41:48] Orchilis? Yeah.

[01:41:52] Diagon LA.
