But when we were on the train ride back, my wife was looking for something to listen to just to kind of relax and get herself settled down for sleep, to try and get as much sleep

[00:01:40] as we could because we had coach seats on the train and it's not exactly a comfortable

[00:01:44] situation.

[00:01:45] Yeah. She has a sound board now. We just have to get the right cable sports. Hopefully that won't happen anymore. But yeah, he gets a little dramatic sometimes. Yeah. Now listening to our past couple episodes, like maybe realize that I really need to get it in like, because like the sound quality between aside from that like I don't remember too much from it so. So um a friend of the show uh Andre from Fine Time. There was actually part of um how this came to be was we were talking podcasting stuff over on uh another friend of the show Rick's server and

[00:04:21] we were all joking about our first episodes we were like crappy and unwatt listenable

[00:05:22] like our first episode at least had a direction.

[00:05:23] Somewhat.

[00:05:28] It was kind of just a general conversation, but yeah, we did have a topic.

[00:05:33] So trust me, you'll see at the end of February, we did it for the first episode. She and she definitely did not have a direction.

[00:05:36] Did you play clips of the episode?

[00:05:38] And were you like commenting on it like a commentary or we had a

[00:05:41] deploying in the background and we commentated over it.

[00:05:44] I paused it every now and then to give like context on like certain things.

[00:05:48] That's fun.

[00:06:41] It was a great time.

[00:06:42] Yeah, I saw the pictures. Uh, Cindy posted on Facebook over the course of it.

[00:06:45] It looked like you guys had a great time.

[00:06:47] Oh, yeah.

[00:06:48] Well, I kind of rely on Cindy to do a lot of the pictures stuff.

[00:06:51] I'm so bad with that shit.

[00:06:52] Like I, we got to like, I don't know, like the third or fourth night or something.

[00:06:57] And I like went to go look at the pictures on my phone and I'm like, all right,

[00:07:01] there's only three pictures here.

[00:07:04] Whoops.

[00:07:06] I get like, I think you got hacked. And the whole time I'm like, oh, Jesus Christ. So I'm like changing my password. And then I find out I didn't get hacked. There's just an imposter running around. So I had to like go to Facebook, TOS and like basically be like, yo, can you guys do something about this, please? I've reported it like twice. It's still here.

[00:08:21] I think they finally got rid of it.

[00:08:24] Yeah.

[00:08:25] I was seeing that pop up.

[00:09:26] like not not nearly as exciting as what you guys were doing. Yeah. Well, I don't know. It was a good time. We I think by the fourth day in the park, we kind of got burned out a little bit.

[00:09:31] Yeah. I don't think I've ever been to a theme park more than like two days of max. So I can't

[00:09:38] even imagine like four days. Yeah. Well, Cindy and I did three days on our honeymoon.

[00:10:42] kind of resetting back to that insane normalcy again. So it's kind of like we're in that weird period now

[00:10:45] where everything's just like overwhelmed.

[00:10:47] Yeah.

[00:10:48] Cause I've noticed it everywhere you go now.

[00:10:52] Yeah, but I mean, it was like,

[00:10:55] all right, it was also like a really nice day

[00:10:56] that those days too, like the first couple of days

[00:10:59] were on a little bit cooler for that time of year.

[00:11:03] And then like it was on Wednesday and Thursday,

[00:11:05] it was like in the 80s.

[00:12:05] my aunt's old bedroom from when she was a kid. My grandmother lives right across the street and it's just quieter over here so I come over here for this. Yeah. Yeah I'm thinking about

[00:12:11] streaming at some point in the future. Maybe doing more YouTube video stuff so like I'm trying to

[00:12:16] like build like a decent setup for a backdrop anyways. I get a lot of like open space over here

[00:12:23] though that I kind of want to do something about. Yeah. I was actually I was wanted to ask

[00:13:25] money cheat through it and you could see like I have like unlimited money throughout the playthrough and I don't acknowledge it once

[00:13:27] but And I mysteriously all my Pokemon are level 99 by the end of it. Oh, no that happened

[00:13:32] But yeah

[00:13:34] Yeah, that was a I think I was in like a school when I recorded that so

[00:13:39] Jeez, I didn't even didn't even notice how old they were I just saw I was like oh wow it was like 10,000 views on this

[00:14:44] into that, but a lot of prominent YouTubers that we probably watched back in the day are

[00:14:47] they aren't the greatest of people we've learned recently. So,

[00:14:51] makes sense. So you never trust never never, uh,

[00:14:56] they always say never like really meet your heroes and some, I guess that's kind of why.

[00:16:21] No kidding. Um, so, uh, a few in there, but yeah, it's what you finish Kyoto. It's kind of like, all right, what are we doing here? I just want to finish it just to watch it once and say I did. Then I can watch the obase and then I'm going to probably power through the new series and then I'm officially on attack on Titan. So that's so cool.

[00:16:22] At least there's not like that much filler.

[00:16:24] I mean, when you look at it like, you know, ratios with, when you finish Z, it's going to be like a outrageously small last one for that. Yeah, the two in one at the end because it's stupidness. But yes, Z is my next project. I have the first volume of that in Visbig. So I got to get the other eight, I want to say.

[00:17:40] Yeah, it's the side of those.

[00:17:42] Yeah, so that'll be a eventual project.

[00:17:45] And then I'll be caught up on Dragon Ball.

[00:17:47] Yeah.

Well, you know what we could do is we could, we could split it up into chunks and like we could both read them and do episodes on like, I'd say for the first one, we'd probably just go through Goku Black. Cause that's only like the first,

[00:19:05] Yeah, I didn I thought by problems with it, but it gave at least some development because like the fight just happens in the movie And you're like, oh, okay

[00:20:22] At least like battle of gods like the movie is still very enjoyable for a chapter prequel arc to Superhero and then it just does Superhero. Yeah. So we're gonna have at least a few like two or three volumes of Superhero being retold. Yeah. And then Daima's coming out sooner or later. So that'll be a that'll be another interesting thing. I think that's enough all.

[00:23:02] So I'm not sure what to think of it, but I'm gonna watch it regardless. Yeah. It's just the things that come into my mind sometimes. I'm hoping it's that they're not actually kids and they're just shabby for whatever reason. I'm pretty sure they're actually kids. Because when you saw him, that's just Satan. He didn't have a beard or a mustache. True.

[00:23:03] Same with Oxcan or Master Roshi for that matter. like bonus stuff. There's also a light novel novelization as well. Okay. All right. So yeah, I'll probably, you know, probably won't be immediately because I'm still kind of tapped out from the trip, but yeah, definitely gonna have to pick up the first seven. I think the difference is with the seven remake. It is officially considered an alternate universe separate from everything. So you kind of don't have to. It's not technically replacing the original. It just kind of exists on its own. Yeah.

[00:25:40] Speaking of games though, I've actually I've started my yearly playthrough of Persona 4.

[00:25:45] Oh, there you go. A little early this time.

[00:26:47] we were planning on covering the stand mini series. So I had watched it twice because I kept thinking we were going to watch do it that week and then kept getting pushed. But every time I

[00:26:52] finished watching it, I was just like, damn, I just really want to read the stand again.

[00:26:56] It's every time I watched it, I was just like, man, I just want to read the book.

[00:27:01] Yeah, I get that because it's like sometimes Those old batteries are a little concerning sometimes. Yeah, I mean, you can just swap those batteries out, okay? Yeah, you can get another one. It's just, you don't ever want them to blow up. Yeah, well, because unfortunately that can't, I can unfortunately hurt the actual hardware, but.

[00:28:23] Meanwhile, Nintendo handhelds like the SP and stuff

[00:28:26] have had their batteries mean, for you, Hawke Show, I guess it makes sense because that is a pretty dialogue heavy show. Yeah, well, it's not even that because they add a lot to it because it's literally just like, because they try to make like the dark tournament, like they try to make it like a huge map with all the levels and like there's different sections of the island

[00:29:43] that you have to get through and the different rounds of the tournament and stuff and like

[00:30:41] I haven't put the time into it yet. It's just I know it's going to be a big undertaking.

[00:30:44] I know it's a long game and I'm probably going to get really into it.

[00:30:48] But I just don't know if I'm ready for that kind of commitment right now.

[00:30:53] That's the thing with personas, like they're a lot of game.

[00:30:56] You got to kind of work your way into them.

[00:31:01] But once you get into them, if you like them, you end up getting sucked into them.

[00:33:46] And it's amazing to me how pretty popular, I've noticed. Yeah, they really like, like, I mean, they always kind of existed, but I feel like in the past 10 years, they've just been like taking over. Yeah, I mean, they're popular and people like them, even though they're really dumb. But you also get that that's kind of why like shows like Konosuba are so funny because that one's self-aware.

[00:35:03] The whole fish out of water thing is good if it's done right, but he did it was to bring back Shion and like the rest of his villagers because they decided to attack his village for some reason. And then it's hilarious because like that season two ends and then they were still waiting on season three but they released the slime diaries in between which technically takes

[00:36:23] place before season two but it's like all I want to at least get caught up so I can, when that starts releasing, I can watch it from scratch. I wonder, honestly, wondering now that I've seen the Kyoto Arc, how they're gonna handle that for the new series. I mean, it'll be a failure if they don't get Steve Bloom back

[00:37:41] for what's his name, Chishio?

[00:37:45] Unfortunately, I doubt they will, but.

[00:37:48] That'd be a shame. just boring. Yeah. Um, funny one I noticed was a carou's voice actress is actually a Comey's mom and then Comey can't communicate. Really? Yeah, I was like looking through her, uh, behind the voice actress and I saw it was like, it was like

[00:39:01] Shuku Comey. I was like, Oh, it's her mom. Get the mom who's

[00:40:06] on right now or season two of Halo comes out this month. Oh, yeah.

[00:40:10] I watched one episode of that and I was like, this is shit.

[00:40:15] I know why when I liked it when we watched it, we just I just

[00:40:22] The first person, the first person shooter section that somehow

[00:40:25] looked worse than Halo one.

[00:42:54] The city thing she always she always falls asleep.

[00:42:58] I don't know if she just can't resist laying down like I always tell her

[00:43:02] like like I always look at her and she looks like she's about to fall asleep

[00:43:05] and I'm like well if you just sit up like.

[00:44:03] like wearing everyone's wearing masks and they all look miserable. I think that one was washed in. That one was great just because everyone was in masks and they were all

[00:44:08] rather than so this this made me laugh laugh because I was like this is so stupid.

[00:44:13] Not all so they were like trying to like separate people but they had them clustered into like

[00:44:17] these boxes all shoved in like sardines. Yeah like all over the place. I'm like okay

[00:44:23] I'm like that that makes sense. We're home. And I'm just like walking across the street. It faced drunk, like just being like, she's like, she was like, call me when you get home. Like, it's across the street. She's like, she's like, yeah, but you're like wasted. So go home. Meanwhile, I'm like texting people on Discord being like, I'll get to that point. And it was just nice being able to just stumble my way home not to worry about it. Yeah. That's always fun. It's funny to me because as a kid, you don't even, you struggle, you're desperate to stay up til midnight,

[00:47:00] all every year, but they always make you go to sleep.

[00:47:02] But then once you're an adult, you're just like,

[00:47:04] I just want to go to bed.

[00:47:06] Don't have time for this. Now you go. Gosh, can I ask? I'm going back to the trip stuff. Have you ever been to Universal? I haven't. The farthest I've really have not gone west at all of Massachusetts. The farthest south I've gone is South Carolina.

[00:48:21] I was just curious because it's a difference between that and then the there's people that Disney is their personality Yeah, I've met people like that. Yeah Nice people and all it just not for me The last one I met was Alex's ex and he was a piece of shit. So yeah, well, I mean um my my friend's mom is like Disney crazy

[00:49:42] And she's an absolute sweetheart, but yeah, I think it might be

[00:50:43] It's a running joke from a 3DO where I always joke that I have a broken master system for some reason and now it just sits back there.

[00:50:48] Yeah, I actually, um, I started listening to 3DO a little bit.

[00:50:52] I'm like four or five episodes in so far.

[00:50:56] The first three episodes are nothing like anything after.

[00:51:00] I, the last one I listened to was the first one for Aquazon.

[00:51:02] So I would get into the part where after you were vented.

[00:52:04] is definitely not structured and then this is mostly a shooting the shit guy to show. Yeah, which is the kind of thing I usually prefer as you as if I'm going to make a podcast

[00:52:09] and what I'm trying to go, I say it like, I mean, I just kind of show up, you got to

[00:52:14] do all the work, but I don't add it much.

[00:52:18] But generally, like if I'm going to be a part of something like this, I like it to be the

[00:52:24] type of thing I would like this perfectly sums up Alex. Awesome. And then, um, yeah, between that and the Kermit, the frog thing, like all these things just keep happening on the discord. Snickerman started that and it just has become a thing all of a sudden. And now that now those gifts are evolving because like Rick posted the one

[00:53:42] of like them jumping on the bed and then it cuts to Kermit's.

[00:53:45] It was sad.

[00:53:45] I was like, what?

[00:53:47] I was like, Oh God, they're evolving.

[00:54:45] here again at some point. I'm sure. I'm sure that like, I'm sure we'll listen to this episode and immediately post it out of spite.

[00:57:23] I've heard it's a great game if you're like a Harry Potter fan. So, yeah, I mean, I, I mean, I just went to the Wizarding World.

[00:57:29] I think I went to the fucking overnight book release at borders with seven book.

[00:57:33] Like, there's a picture that only exists on one of those, you know, those digital picture

[00:57:40] frame things where you load a bunch of pictures on it to it cycles through them.

[00:57:44] This picture, I'm pretty sure only exists on one of those that don't know. Yeah, well, I mean, if if you didn't know that by the time the Half Blood Prince movie came out, that's kind of your fault. Yeah. There was a good few years between the book and the movie. True. I mean, to be fair, though, there was at least a decent like that was before like the internet was really bad with spoilers. Like the first movie I can really think of were spoilers were

[00:59:06] It was like you couldn't go anywhere without endgame spoilers

[00:59:09] popping up. formula one subreddit. Oh, yeah. That's another one I need to watch. Did that you said that's on high dive, right? Yep. Yeah, I'll have to just get a trial just so I can bang that out. And then I'll, I'll close it out. There's a bunch of cool stuff on high dive. So it is worth checking some of that stuff out. Yeah, well, I'll get

[01:00:24] through and see what else is there.'re into it, you can easily finish it like within a few days. Yeah. Like it also shows you just how much like bloat and like a necessary

[01:01:44] Like you look at a Roni Kenshin cause those were the easiest ones to find at the time, cause they were all available in, um, like best buying stuff.

[01:03:00] And then like, I just kind of went backwards from there.

[01:03:05] I mean, it kind of worked.

[01:04:04] me, Cindy and Xander went to go see the boy in the hair and it was good. We enjoyed it a lot.

[01:04:05] It was definitely like, I swear to God,

[01:04:07] whenever Cindy and I sit down to watch a jiggly movie,

[01:04:10] we always end up looking at each other like,

[01:04:12] what the fuck are we watching every time?

[01:04:15] But it was a really enjoyable movie.

[01:04:18] I was not expecting it to take place like when it does.

[01:04:22] Because it takes place,

[01:04:24] I don't know if they ever blatantly say it,

[01:04:26] but I'm pretty sure it takes place like World War II for streaming it'll be on HBO Max because that's where all the other ones are probably most likely. Yeah I'll probably wait till it comes to streaming just because I haven't had time to do the movies. Yeah that's another thing that should be one of my projects this year is going to do some of the jiblic movies. They're all really good they're worth watching like I still say the wind rises is one of the most surprisingly one that I've always heard good things about, but I just I never got around to watching it. It was too violent for Alex, which is hilarious, considering some of the things she actually watches. But, um, yeah, right. She didn't like the violence. Yeah. Didn't like the violence of it. And I thought it was just too long.

[01:07:03] It's like two hours.

[01:07:06] It's like two hours long, it's not the present. It's just like that with the old ones too. Yeah, I

[01:09:24] of that original Dragon Ball is the one I want the most. And the only way I'd want them to do super is if they added exploration with other universes. Like if we could just pop over like

[01:09:31] like kind of what Dragon Ball online was, like I was really upset that we never got that and

[01:09:37] that it was that did a big short lived anyway because I heard so many cool things about it.

[01:09:42] Yeah, that was the only place you could find superpan some sort of myth. I'd have to look into it. I know like, I saw a video on it once where somebody explained like the myth that that was based off of, but, but I mean, to be fair,

[01:11:00] the ending of GT is the most satisfying ending

[01:11:03] out of any of the trackable shows.

[01:11:04] That's like one of the few things GT really it's not canon. That's all that matters. Yeah. I mean, the ending to super was pretty good, even though it's kind of like you just wanted more. Yeah, well, the ending to super was a lot like the ending to Z where it's just like, hey, like, there's definitely more to this story, but we're just not going to tell it to you. See ya.

[01:12:23] But at least in super, he doesn't abandon his family.

[01:13:27] And he like recruits them to try and like he's like trying to trick them to go and fight go on for them because he's like mad at go on

[01:13:31] Then like they show up and it goes in a truck to look at him and like

[01:13:34] This is my brother's house dude. I'm not doing that

[01:13:39] And they go on to seize them and he gets all mad and goes like straight into his new beast form So that's encouraging at least that he could just jump right into that can still do it. Yeah

[01:14:44] pretty much like go go need another one right he's gonna end the worst for does you know he's gonna get another one maybe I think I definitely think

[01:14:52] ultra instinct is gonna be the it's gonna be the standard going forward for

[01:14:59] him but they made it very clear once he like mastered the mastered version if from trackable AF. Yeah. Dumbest like one of the dumbest internet rumors ever that people bought. People still buy it. I think no. That's how bad it is. It's a funny thing is it's the most popular version of that, that means the fan comment will never have a conclusion. Yeah, fortunately. Well, I mean, he's definitely pulling ideas from that.

[01:17:43] Because like, yeah, like, actually, there's a whole bit where they were gonna seal the Goku clone slash son into the Z sword, which is, you know, kind of mirrors the whole evil containment wave on Goku Black or his opposite. So it's just like, you see a lot of these connections, like he's just kind of pulling stuff from that

[01:19:00] to try and, I guess, keep his old work alive,

[01:19:04] which is kind of cool.

[01:19:05] Yeah.

[01:19:06] I mean, Tori Allen Including that. Including that. Still my ice cream. It's like, oh man, it's still my ice cream. Yes. Yes, the universe 12. Yeah, pretty much.

[01:20:24] And there's just two, the fact that there's just two of them now.

[01:21:42] is gonna be like the complete version like That's pretty much all he knows. Yeah. And I want to get Cindy to play it at some point because I think she doesn't really do turn base games. So I figured the remake might be a good substitution just so she can experience the story. Yeah, that's fair. I mean,

[01:23:03] I love the original 7 but it is a dated game not to do that Yeah, I think the problem is a big game option

[01:24:21] They to do it they'd have to probably redesign the entire game

[01:24:26] yeah like this Pearl stand. And Cindy loves pearls and stuff. And her, her ring got broken a while ago. She's been kind of using substitute rings for a while. So it's a good opportunity, you know, because they had like a bunch of bands and stuff, you get a pearl to put on and stuff. So it's like, Oh, I'm gonna go send her off over to the, they don't shop

[01:25:43] was Andrew over there. And I'm gonna, I. They have like glitter and sequins and all this crazy shit on it. And he goes, you know what these are? I said, I don't know. Spatchels? I don't know. And he goes, no, no, no. These are magic wands. Okay. So, so what you're going to do is you're

[01:27:02] going to pick them when you think is pretty. So I said, okay, whatever. And I just grabbed one.

[01:28:02] Not loud enough. Oh no.

[01:28:03] So I do it again.

[01:28:04] He's like, come on, dude.

[01:28:06] You got to do it again.

[01:28:08] I had a little age to do this shit three fucking times.

[01:28:10] And by the time it was done, there was a whole crowd around me watching.

[01:29:43] they both got a kick out of it once I told them. I'm tired of it. It's like, I don't know. It hasn't even been that bad. I mean, maybe it's been a little worse for you. I feel like you've gotten more snow than we have.
